Not at all impressed. The bagels are your typical Einstein quality; better that store bought, no comparison to a New York bagel (I'm not from New York, but facts are facts). I stopped in to use the WiFi but wanted to make a purchase prior to just bumming it, so I asked if they had working WiFi (huge lightning storm the night before hit a lot of buildings directly in the area, killing their WiFi). The girl vacuuming said "yes", so I bought my bagel and sat down. The WiFi would not connect so I asked and found out that, in fact, it had been acting up since the night before and not always working for people. Had she simply let me know this up front, I would not have wasted $5 and 20 min and would have found somewhere else. What happened instead was that she got my one-time $5, lost any future potential business I might have ever given any Einstein location, and this glowing review.

The worst of the worst. Do not eat here! Horrible service. Horrible serving size. Horrible stale bagels. Oh and rude ass people! Avoid at all cost.

This is the worst-run restaurant I've ever seen. It's in my neighborhood, so I have given them multiple chances. But today, I watched them get four orders in a row wrong, requiring some customers to come back up to the counter two or three times. Also, it took 15 minutes for me to get a bagel with cream cheese. Consistently bad service, rude employees...oh, and another treat for you: they love to vacuum in the seating area throughout the morning with their industrial-strength vacuum. If you like loud environments where you get the wrong order after you've already waited 10 minutes or more, then this place is for you!

Moldy salad oh yum. I would run from this place. They would not even give me my money back. The owner emailed me and apologized and told me he was going to send a gift card and never did. Horrible place.

I ordered two asiago bagel dogs to go. When I said to go I expected them NOT to be heated or Split down the center. The last time ordered the bagel dogs from this Einstein I received a pickle spear, NOT this time. Instead they asked if I wanted a side. Every time before I was never asked if I wanted a side. All I was looking for was unheated bagel dogs NOT cut open and a Pickle Spear. I will have to reconsider my visit from here on out.

I am such a lover of the egg white option sandwiches. Even more so, the always fresh free refillable coffee! Einstein's has way more than just your a-ver-age bagel, boo boo! It's a spot where I found, if needed, I can camp out for breakfast, lunch and dinner to work. The low-cal egg white sandwiches offer health and a satisfied tummy. My go-to is the mushroom and asparagus option. These are served in a thin bagel. If you need more of an oomph of a sandwich, there are options like the classic BLT served in a regular bagel. There is most always at least four different coffee blends to choose from. The seasonal blends call to me most with their flavor. Do yourself a favor and find out the second the pumpkin bagel comes out in the fall. These go fast, my friends. And, for good reason! They are dang good yummy. Order dozens at a time and go back to the egg-white sandwich when they run out to perhaps cancel out some calories.

Just about the worst customer service I've ever experienced. There was a large order being placed when I was there, but there were 5 people working behind the counter. They should have been able to handle it. I ordered my bagel and was then subsequently ignored for the next 10 minutes. When I finally received my order no one was at the register for me to pay. I had half a mind to walk out. After several people walked by me, full minutes later, and totally ignored me, I finally brought it to their attention and I didn't even get so much as an apology. This is not how you treat a paying customer. They were actually rude and seemed annoyed at me wanting to order coffee and pay... As someone who works in the service industry, I think this kind of behavior is unacceptable. Won't be going here again.

I just finished a half-marathon and was starved for a post race bagel. While they're not the best bagels, Einstein was pretty close on my way home, so I stopped there. I decided to just get 6 bagels so I could have some during the week. When I asked to get 6 bagels, the employee goes, "Oh my God. My worst nightmare has come true." I was just buying the bagels to take home, so all he had to do was put the bagels in a bag. It's not a complicated order. Hold the phone, someone ordering 6 bagels is a worst nightmare come true? Wow. I was stunned by such a statement, so I replied, "You work at a bagel shop. I'm a customer here to buy bagels. How is someone buying multiple bagels a worst nightmare?" The guy was clearly surprised that I called him out on this and said that one of their bakers couldn't come in today. It's not like the place was short on bagels. Another employee heard this and seemed embarrassed by this guy's stupidity. He seemed to try to shut him up by saying that the other baker was called away because her daughter was going into emergency labor. After I was finishing paying, another customer came back and wanted a refund on his coffee because the coffee machine wasn't working, and another employee had told him it would not working for another 20 minutes. The cashier was arguing with the customer about this and telling him to wait. Clearly, this location needs Customer Service 101 STAT.

Bagels? Check. Decent coffee? Check. Other stuff(fruit, sandwiches, pastries, etc)? Yep. Outlets? NO. I'm not quite sure that their food items are made from real food ingredients. The bagels have the consistency of air, and I swear I can't actually taste the eggs they put in their air bagels. And I'm fully convinced that I got cancer just walking in to their bathroom from the overpowering chemical smell. If you need something quick with a decent selection, you could go here. Do I get why it's named after a genius? Not really...perhaps because there is a genius marketeer keeping people coming back?

Einstein bros always has delicious food (I particularly love the sante fe wrap and the seasonal pumpkin bagels) but this particular location has a consistently slow and rude staff. They mess up orders and have no concern when it takes 25 minutes to receive two bagels.

No changing tables! Keep your babies at home. Also, they go thin on the cream cheese (not always, but it's a 50/50 gamble). Alameda Einsteins ain't like the rest. Sad face. Sad face.

Horrible. I read the poor reviews before I came and still elected to come- my mistake. Please don't make the same one. I waited for several minutes before any of the 3 employees up front acknowledged me, then was told they couldn't make the turkey melt that I've been getting at a nearby location for years (even just last week). Instead, he offered me a similar option and said they would melt the cheese. He also didn't ask what kind of bagel I wanted. Once I sat down, the place was filthy. I stepped on some kind of brown goo under my table (don't know what it was- don't want to know what it was!) ;) Needless to say, I won't be coming back. And oh yeah, once I got my bagel- the cheese wasn't melted.

I've only been to this location; food and service are always consistent. I like the low cal menu. They have three varieties of salads, different egg white breakie sandwiches, bagel thin sandwiches and soups on the low-cal menu. They put some of the nutrition facts on the low-cal menu. The only complaint is the prices. My Low-cal Southwest Turkey Sausage Bagel Thin is $5. Over priced for processed food especially.

Waited over 20 mins while everyone who ordered after me got their orders. When I finally got mine, it was completely wrong and NOT wrapped to go, like I had requested. At this point I wasn't about to argue over the order being wrong cuz I just wanted food and to get out of there but when I got home the cream cheese they gave me was disgusting. Never going back to this location, what a joke. The manager was even the one who ended up "helping" me, thanks for nothing.

Always terrible service. My girlfriend lives two blocks from here so we tend to go a lot for quick easy bites.. The food is okay... But the service gets this place the low rating. Always a slow moving line of about 4 people.. The staff on multiple times has used the cop out "sorry someone called in today." And expects me to buy it every time. Sure I'll be back because it's convenient. But wouldn't go out of my way.

This Einsteins used to be the most profitable such one in Colorado. Good location in West Washington Park, great place for people to gather. On most Saturdays, a bluegrass combo played in the corner, and on Sundays a guitarist would provide ambiance and entertainment. The crowd was a mix of mainstream, eclectic, and families. Most of us in the neighborhood knew the manager and employees by face, if not name. But tragedy struck. Corporate came in. The old, unique, homespun battered community table was replaced with the generic one seen in every other one of their pre-fabricated units. Same with the more unique murals. The booths were replaced according to the bean-counter blueprint. Argh. I'm not a graphic artist, nor a Feng Shui designer, but I know one thing - when I walk into an establishment, the last thing I want my eyes to be confronted with are eye-level, open, glaring, unshaded fluorescent lamps accosting my retinas in a lame attempt to get me to buy higher profit, low-service-overhead food-chandise. I want to buy a bagel in relative comfort, not feel like I'm the victim of a corporate profit focus group. I felt like my eyes were being frisked by a grumpy TSA dude at the airport. What was once a jewel in the fleet has been reduced to the mediocrity of a chain, and what was a nice place to hang is now frequented by very few in the neighborhood. Some will never go there again. Now, I only go there when I need to hit the head. It's one thing for a restaurant to never achieve goodness. But to fall so badly just plain sucks. The real Mr. Einstein in essence said that the definition of insanity is to keep trying the same thing and expecting a different outcome. This place is now doing the same thing as every other Einsteins and it's a shame it's now both insane and homogeneous.

Wow - I haven't been on Yelp for three years. While I was away the Einsten's marketing guy left me a message about my post saying thanks for the feed back. That was awesome and I gave them a star for that for sure. In regards to #1 of my original post. I am an asshole. Why do I care if someone is overly chipper? Adding back a star from my original post. In regards to #2 - I still don't think it's that easy to get an egg and bacon with cream cheese instead of cheese. And I still don't love the cream cheese compared with Moes Bagel. Buttttt, I freaking love the bagel thins. Now that it's three years later (and 20lbs later for me) I love that they do bagel thins. Rock on Einstens.

Yeah, it's Einstein's and their so-so bagels, but I like this spot in West Wash Park. Different from nearly any other Einstein's in town, this one has good quick service, ample parking, and a spacious seating area. No wonder you see some regulars hanging out here all morning, sipping coffee and catching up, mothers hanging out after dropping their children at the preschool across the street, hard bodies coming in from the gym next door, and grad students having group study sessions. It's a nice neighborhood place.

Meh. Horrible service first thing on Sunday morning. May never go back. The girl was bordering on a snot. Our sandwiches look like a drunken asleep monkey made our food. I am guessing food and customer service is not this girls life goal.

They have consistently gotten my orders wrong. Pretty disappointing when it's a to go order and by the time you realize it it's too late. The food is fine, but it's not what I ordered.

THE WORST SERVICE - each time served by an African young lady who has qualms about slicing bagels. In May, my out of town guests experienced attitude and she refused to comply with a request. A few days ago, I was met with extreme rudeness when I asked that she slice bagels. She had the nerve to say "next time, ask that they be sliced before ordering!" Nobody orders me around! There were NO customers early morning and she had no one waiting for service. What is her problem? I filed a complaint directly online. After years of supporting this neighborhood shop, I will no longer shop there and will discourage anyone from going there. As I left, I suggested to the worker that "good customer service is critical" and her response was "I know that." She should practice what she knows and/or receive further training so that customers don't have to deal with her stupidity and bad manners. The end!

They can never get the order right, like ever. Will not be going back - the service is just too horrible.
