Two new breweries opening in Denver on the same day? Yes, please. Although we did not manage to make it down on the 14th, we did a stroll in on the 15th of February. This brewery is simultaneously somewhat hidden and very easy to get to. It is just a couple blocks East and North from the intersection of Santa Fe and Evans, and is even easily walkable from light rail. The interior of this taproom is tasteful and beautiful (and even has a Jacobs ladder above the taps). The large patio outside is also well thought out. It even has room for two food trucks. One of the two owners, Mike, was very friendly and gladly gave us a tour of the production facilities in the back. 30 barrel systems as far as the eye could see greeted us as we stood there in shock and awe. I don't believe I have ever seen a new brewery with such future capability. Mike has a hardcore science background and parts of this shiny facility resemble the workshop of a mad scientist. There is even a future VIP loft area in the back, with a flatscreen TV on deck. As for the beer, we tried a little of everything. I did not dislike anything, but I also did not easily identify my initial favorite like I usually do. I kind of feel like this first run of beers is well-made and smart, but still has room for improvement from the heart and soul perspective. If I had to pick a favorite for now, I would probably go with the Kolsch.

When I go to a brewery I have never been to I start with a flight first. I hope to find a few that I like and move onto an entire beer. I liked the actual brewery. Great music (DJ on a Sunday), fairly busy for 2pm on a Sunday, but the beer...I found 2 that I might drink again. Might. Saison and the oatmeal IPA. I am a huge IPA fan and they have a lot but a lot that weren't good. Staff was great and friendly.

Great little spot to have a drink! I had one of the wheat beers and my boyfriend had the IPA. We both really enjoyed our beers. The atmosphere was laid back but definitely happening, when we we came last Saturday. There is plenty of bar seating and table seating inside and outside. It's also dog friendly which is a huge plus to us. There was a food truck outside which I imagine rotate. The first person we spoke to at the bar was super crabby, she was acting as if we were bothering her (which is why I'm giving them 3 instead of 4 stars) That was a little frustrating as I realize it's busy but first impressions are lasting. Fortunately the next bartenders that we interacted with were super nice, which made up for it. I will definitely come back!

Good beer! Tried the 6 glass sampler and really enjoyed the uninhibitor wild berry the best, but all were tasty. The service was good and the patio was open - and huge! The grassy area is good for dogs and playing ping pong. Enjoyed the food truck that served amazing bar-b-que!!!

How fun and chill was this place?! I had a very enjoyable experience at the bar sampling a full flight of the 9 beers they had available on their opening weekend. They have a couple more brews in the works, more IPAs and hoppy from what we were told, so those should be coming to add to the options. It looked like they had a lot of taps, so they are expecting a very large beer menu it seems! They'll need to work out the beer listing as, although we were seated near them, the beers being only listed on skateboards on the wall in a different order than served is not ideal. But, the brews were rather tasty for sure! My favorites were Peg, a strawberry wheat and Electric Silk, an oatmeal IPA. I menu on each table and some along the bar are needed for sure. The joint is comfortable with kids and dogs prevalent (bring your allergy meds) and a welcoming vibe. There is a balance of masculine and feminine energy, which is rare in these beardo dominated beer scenes. So that is nice. The bar and table tops are a slick stone and the lighting and layout all seems to have been designed well. I think the place will really take off once their patio is popping. They have juices, sodas, pretzels, and a food truck so they appear to be ready for the crowds. We chatted with a couple of the employees and it was a great introduction. I expect this place will become super popular, I hope they stay cool!

After much anticipation Declaration Brewing Company is finally open! I have been liking them on Facebook for what seems to be a better part of a year seeing renderings of what the actual brewery and beer patio were going to look like and the design has finally come to life! I stopped in around 2:00 this past Sunday and was delighted by the beautiful design, comfortable setting and overall good vibe. My lady and I slid up to the bar and were served a 9 beer sampler all of which had great flavor and were very well balanced for a brand new brewery. Favorites were the scotch ale, and Trippel. Of course there were a few little issues that come with being new(need a list along with the sampler and have your wait staff designated to a specific area) but the crowd seemed to be happy, the staff was friendly and attentive and the beers were on point. Overall, I think this is a great new addition to the neighborhood and I'm certain when the weather gets back to great that beer garden is going to be amazing! I highly recommend anyone in the area to hit them up.

This is a new brewery in Denver and a great addition to the area. It has a great outside area with plenty of seating. It is family and pooch friendly. They have various food trucks through the week. Now the good part... a great selection of beers. I quite like the Kolsch, Purloin Pale Ale and the In Session IPA. The bar staff are friendly and knowledgeable about their products. This is one of my go to breweries and well worth a visit.

I enjoyed this Brewery. It's only about 6 blocks from my house, so that makes it even more attractive. Very dog friendly, and they have rotating food trucks. The beer prices are a little high. They had one $5 beer, which they were out of the night I went, so everything was between $6 and $8.

I've been to Declaration twice now. Most recently, I came before a Rakim concert at Herman's Hideaway. Declaration was having a pre-show party where they offered discounts on beers and played all of Rakim's jams. They even had one of the opening acts at the brewery for pre-concert show. Pretty neat. We had a pretty awesome time. It got us pretty pumped up for the show. I really like Declaration. I am not like over-the-top crazy about their beer, but I have had some pretty solid beers here that are enough to keep coming coming back. Plus, they are wicked close to my place. My personal favorite beer at Declaration is the Wildberry Saison. Typically I am not a Saison person, but this saison bursts with fruity flavors and is pretty smooth. I particularly like the layout of Declaration. They have a great, big patio that is extremely dog-friendly. I brought our furry friend and he just was as happy as can be laying in their grassy area. The grassy area has a cornhole set and a ping pong table, so lots of fun activities to partake in while drinking. I will definitely be returning to Declaration with my little furry sidekick here soon!

Went here last night for the first time. Looked like a great patio but a Sunday night DJ was a bit odd... Ended up sitting inside because of it. I had the wild berry saison and the strawberry wheat. Both solid. The saison was delicious - flavorful, strong, smooth. The strawberry wheat was good for a wheat but very weak strawberry flavor. Beers ranged from $5-$7. Open seating, cool atmosphere.

Finally an amazing brewery on the south side of town! I have been waiting for three years to find a place that a true beer lover in South Denver can go to enjoy a beer, Declaration is it. The first time we came in was about a week after it opened, we have been back every two weeks or so since then. They have a ton of beer on tap - usually about 12 beers all their own - but these aren't just the standards. Declaration has a unique selection of beer, this summer they played with a of fruit flavors, the wildberry saison was delicious. I spend a lot of time going to breweries in the Highlands, Rino, and Downtown, and I would highly encourage people to come to the South side of town and try Declaration!

This place has an awesome space and location that, while not close to where I live is so close to a light rail stop it is still easy to get to. The staff are very attentive, no attitude and quite nice. The music is great most of the time. The DJ is for sure a good one, but the house-played music (mostly hip hop) is better. The beer is just super. Even styles that I do not like much are done well and very drinkable. My only request is more hops, but I understand that the brew folks want to offer a good variety for the non-hop heads. Just go cuz something will taste good.

Came in 8/1 around 9pm and hung out for a bit at the bar. Great space, beautiful bar and lots of outdoor seating. We did a sampler and the imperial IPA stole the show. A couple of beers we wanted to try were tapped out so I'll have to come back and try again. The only thing we didn't like was the dude in the green Declaration shirt two seats over from us who must have been completely obliterated or high or both. Or just a total ass. He proceeded to fart, yell and grunt pretty much the entire time we were there. We drank and left. Hopefully that wasn't an employee... Service by the two female bartenders was great.

I've been back several times in hopes of beer improving. They still have the same 4 IPAs (new batches) and none are beyond mediocre. A bit surprising given their emphasis on technology and all the hype that was surrounding this place. The hops profile of each is decidedly nondescript. I found the DIPA and IIPA to be the best, but they are very similar - dank, dark, sweet, average at best. The broader trend has been for bright, crisp, and fruity IPAs, and Declaration has clearly missed the memo. Truly excellent (and reasonably priced) IPAs can be found at Station 26, Cannonball Creek, and Comrade, to name a few. In the area, Platt Park and fermaentra are doing better with their IPAs (and their prices). It's a shame because I really want to like Declaration. The actual taproom and garden are awesome. But, I actually prefer drinking their stout or wild berry saison to avoid constant disappointment at overpriced, bland IPAs.

I generally don't write reviews, the last time I wrote a review was 7 years ago but Declaration Brewing Co., specifically their employee, Kendall, deserved the 5 star rating. Kendall is unbelievably awesome. Definitely a host/bartender that sets the bar extremely high. I can't say enough about Declaration, their staff, especially Kendall and the bar manager.

This place opened recently and is off to a great start. The beer is great even by Colorado standards. My favorite was the tripel and the double IPA. The service was great. Very knowledgeable and friendly and we had a large group. We will be back for sure.

Have been to almost every brewery along the front range and it is amazing how many open up without a clue about customer awareness and service. This place will be at the top of the list this summer for best outdoor space and they have built something to really accommodate large crowds and is super cool. They better make a game plan for how they are going to serve their customers before that happens. They definitely get 5 stars for building a very cool place to hang out especially for large groups and jumping to the top of the list for best outdoor space.. I would only give them 3 stars for their beer as a couple seemed to be tapped too soon. Unfortunately they get 1 star for service. They had 7 staff members all standing behind a very large bar that was fully seated. Everyone else coming in had to wrestle between the people at the bar and hope to get noticed to get a beer. Was there for an hour and never saw anyone go out and mingle , serve or clean up around the rest of the huge space. Saw one customer slip on spilled beer that was never cleaned up. They need to either designate space at the bar to line up and get beer or have a wait staff that does something to make the customer feel welcome. Had a couple of beers and then left because it was too much of a production to get more and the place was probably only about 30 % full with only the bar packed which could have been handled by 2 of the 7 people. Hopefully they get a clue and worry more about service and beer quality instead of just having space that is really cool and packing in a ton of people.

Nice spot. Great outdoor area, kid and dog friendly, and the staff was really attentive and friendly. Sort of a weird beer selection when I was there, but looking at other reviews, it looks like I might have caught them in between brewing cycles. The Dec light ale was a touch too light, but the strawberry wheat was delicious. Not sweet, just a hint of the fruit flavor. I'll be back, hoping to taste the kolsch, pale ale, or session IPA (which I'm reading about, but weren't on the menu last night).

Great new spot. Lots of room for growth, and with 30 taps it shouldn't be far off. There were only 6 beers on tap when I was there but they were tasty. Food trucks are always around and I've heard rumors about a stage being built. I'll be back for sure.

The owners really thought about every detail before opening this place. The layout is awesome and it has everything you could ask for, whether you want to bring the kids, a group of friends, or just go watch a game. To top it all off the beers are delicious!

We stumbled upon this place because of a recommendation from a friend. We loved it The atmosphere is great, our servers were knowledgeable and helped us decide. Most of us got the 6 flight of beers so we could sample their different kinds since we had never been there before. We were all fans of their 2 wheat beers, and they had some great IPA. We had started inside and once it warmed up a bit we moved outside to the patio area and played ping pong and enjoyed the awesome DJ. They have a BBQ food truck there which smelled amazing. The atmosphere is awesome and I see this place becoming really popular. I so badly want to give this place 5 starts, but the reason for the 4 stars..as I had said we had started inside and were 1 of 2 tables inside at that point. We were watching the Masters (which was on TV when we walked in) and the guys in our group were into it. One of the employees went to go change the channel to the Rockies game and we asked him to change it back (since we truly were the only ones watching that tv..there also were two other large TV's behind the bar) He did change it back with no issue, then about 15 minutes later walked by us, and no joke did a COUGH*golf sucks*COUGH into his fist and then ran behind the employees only door to hide. I feel like as a newer establishment with customers who are enjoying themselves and having a good time, the last thing you wanna do is have some douche employee go and pull that. I mean really?? Come on dude.. It's Master's Sunday, let people enjoy themselves. Other than that, this place rocks. We said we have to frequent as much as possible this summer before people find out and it becomes too crowded and popular. Definitely worth checking it out!

Not too shabby of a brewery. A bit frustrating that they appeared to be closing early on a saturday. I would go just because it is tucked in a creepy industrial way. Extra points for dead preys and DOI on the wall...For three!

Came here for a few drinks with the guys, and had a pretty good time overall. The entire place is clean, done up, organized, and looks great. Thumbs up for having a brewery that doesn't smell weird like so many others do. Staff was really nice, but a couple of them seemed to be new and a bit flustered as the crowd grew. Not really a big deal though. The beers were so-so. I liked the Saison and the Copper Ale wasn't bad, but the others I tried (cannot recall the names) weren't that good. I'll be back though, I liked it.

My boyfriend and I checked this place out tonight off a tip from a friend. We were excited to check them out because we live in the neighborhood and were hoping for a go-to place for a close brewery. These guys did not disappoint. All of their brews seemed well developed and had a rounded yet clean flavor. I especially suggest the IPA or Scottish Ale. Also think it's cool that they allow dogs inside the space. I do feel a little weird about having a Tiny Tikes plastic bench for kids right by my table, but I guess if my dog is allowed inside, so should your kid.

Love this place, lots of good beer and fun things going on. I love going late in the afternoon when it's nice and quiet, but trivia night is fun too. The best though is the beer. I've always been an IPA girl, but I almost never order an IPA here because I'm busy enjoying other styles.

(Would give 2.5 rating if available) One of the newest editions to the Denver brewing community. Clearly the people behind the Declaration Brewing Co. had a ton of start up $$$. No expense was spared on the tasting room, brewing equipment, tapper system, big screen TV's & all around atmosphere of the establishment. Unfortunately the main focus of a brewery is the beer. That is where Declaration Brewing Co. falls short. I have visited the brewery a few times and have tried numerous styles on their beer menu. Sadly, across the board everything that they brew is average to below average. The vast majority of the beers taste like what you would drink at a friends house that is still learning the home brew process. Some of the beers are a little pricey considering it's quality. Quality or not some of the beers are priced a little high. Sometimes it takes a while for the many upstart breweries to get things figured out and create at least a few good brews. It appears that their goal is to have 40 (or so) beers on tap. Hopefully the quality of the beer will get better before they continue to add to their large tapper set up. Service and staff is friendly enough. At least one of the bartenders needs a bit of help with the basic question that would follow picking up an empty beer glass from a customer. "Would you like another beer"? Has happened on more than one occasion to me when i have been there that i have to get the attention of someone else behind the bar to ask for another beer after finishing one up. It would be great if the quality of the beer could catch up to the attention to detail put into the atmosphere of the tap room & brewing system they have in place. The brewery has such a great tap room, maybe in time the beer will improve and make the brewery an excellent hang out.

I was super impressed with this place! Love the decor, and the staff was really friendly. The wildberry saison made my life better and my life is already pretty damn good.

This is a great new brewery - went a few weeks after opening. Both the interior and patio are nice and it appears from Instagram that they have food trucks come in daily. I tried several beers and couldn't find one that I really loved. I'd definitely go back to keep trying though! The service was great and the bartender let us stay past closing until a March Madness game was over.

Just hosted a combined 30th and 1st birthday party here. The staff was very accommodating, and they made sure everyone had a fantastic time - even the five babies in attendance! I was a little nervous about the party being too crowded with all the little ones, but the staff made sure we had plenty of room and plenty to drink! All our guests were very impressed with the space, and of course the beer is excellent. It was snowy and cold when we were there, but I can tell we'll be hanging out on the spacious back patio as soon as the weather warms up! This place is a great new addition to the area!

Stopped in for a quick beer. Can't wait to go back and try more. They had an impressive selection of beers, a nice patio and are dog friendly. The staff was very sweet. Who could ask for more?

Love this place, lots of good beer and fun things going on. I love going late in the afternoon when it's nice and quiet, but trivia night is fun too. The best though is the beer. I've always been an IPA girl, but I almost never order an IPA here because I'm busy enjoying other styles.

Not too shabby of a brewery. A bit frustrating that they appeared to be closing early on a saturday. I would go just because it is tucked in a creepy industrial way. Extra points for dead preys and DOI on the wall...For three!

This place just opened up in our neighborhood and I couldn't be happier! It's a great local spot with a huge outdoor patio and good brews! There's always different food trucks pulling up out front too.
