My bf and I were really excited to come here and it did live up to our expectations. We walked up to the bar and put in our orders to the bartender. They had their menu up on a LCD screen too. Koffee Kream Stout (Milk Stout) ABV:4.4% Milk stout with coffee. We are the first Colorado brewery to use coffee from Kaladi Coffee Roasters custom roasted just for Comrade. Pours pitch black, but don't let that fool you, this beer has a massive coffee aroma yet full-bodied and sweet. A great beer to start off the morning with. Superpower IPA (American IPA) ABV:7.5% American IPA with loads of pacific northwest hops. Huge pine and grapefruit hop aroma, with flavors of citrus, balanced bitterness with a light malt character. WOW! We were both SUPER impressed by these brews, was also pleasantly surprised to find out that the Koffee Kream Stout used Kaladi's coffee! We had just come from eating breakfast at Kaladi's and loved their coffee. What a great collaboration, I hope they continue collaborating! We could taste the coffee and dark chocolate taste in this stout without any dark fruit flavors that we have come to not prefer in our stouts. We also really enjoyed the crisp and refreshing citrusy aromatic hop flavors in the Superpower IPA too. We liked both beers so much we couldn't decide which was better. But my bf ended up drinking most of the stout since he prefers stouts and I drinking most of the IPA since I prefer IPAs. This place is also very dog-friendly. Later we realized we should have have looked/asked and gotten smaller size glasses as the regular glass was a bit too much us beer newbs. We also love that they list some of their ingredients used in their beers in their beer descriptions.

Great little spot off the beaten path. Jalapeño beer was pretty tasty! H.S. They also had a very good coffee stout. Worth checking out if you're in the area.

I dig Comrade! It's been on my radar for awhile so I'm stoked I got to try it out courtesy of the Dumb Friends League holding an informational session there about one of their walks. Very minimalistic vibe here and love that you can bring your pup inside! They have a rotating list of food trucks parked outside so you can enjoy your grub with a cold one and I saw some people bring their own food in, so it's the best of both worlds! It was an interesting crowd--I felt like I was on the plane in the movie Airplane! There were motorcycle guys, priests and elderly people enjoying craft beers next to young professionals, kids and dogs, tres interesting. I tried the Superpower IPA which was delightful and Lemondrop Wheat, equally as delicious. I will definitely be back to try out more beers and hang with the dogs! They only thing that would make it better was if they had a patio space and a little chattier staff. The girl helping us really didn't give us any information or give off a vibe of wanting to let us know about the beer.

The guy with the electric guitar has to chill out or turn it down! hahaha. Other than that, I love the place. Selection of beer, great atmosphere and food trucks to boot always make for a good time. I can drink the Superpower IPA without breaking out in an allergic reaction so that's another plus. The staff is always friendly and they conversate which is a rarity in many breweries! I'll be back again and again. Highly recommended!

Clean, friendly, modern atmosphere. Lots of seats. Geeks who drink on Wednesdays, which I plan to check out some time soon. I was only able to try their IPAs but they were very good. Great selection. Go visit them!

There's a variety of beer to drink at Comrade. There's also a nice, open environment to drink it in. However, the staff didn't seem particularly interested in making a positive contribution to the overall customer experience. For example, one of my buddies asked the bartender for the "single hop." She responded quickly and curtly with, "Which single hop? We have three." Of course, she didn't bother enlightening him on which ones they were or the differences between them. Comrade has quite the selection, and the beer is drinkable. I had an English Style Summer Ale (Moneypenny) which was quite good with a delightful hop aroma and good balance. My buddy really enjoyed his red IPA which I did not try. I also had a pint of the scotch ale, but it was much too sweet for my taste. Comrade is a decent place to go for something a little different. However, in the craft brew industry, a big part of the experience is service. I like to talk about the beer. I like to chat with the staff about the process. I like dealing with employees who seem happy to seem me there and seem to have a genuine desire to see me again. Comrade could use a litte fine-tuning in that department, although they didn't seem to be hurting for business, so maybe their concept is working.

I tried their Jalapeno Blonde. Spicy with aromatic hints of jalapeno. The beer was good sized, and appropriately priced for a microbrewery - $5 bucks for about a 16oz pour. We stopped in on a Wednesday, which was Geeks Who Drink pub quiz night. The place was a mad house. Very noisy, but the people seemed fun and friendly.

This the spot for chilling out. No one here including the staff is stressed in anyway. Don't expect to be seated, served food, or pressured in anyway. Everything here is at it's own pace. If you want food here go ahead and order a pizza, they don't care. The first time I came to this brewery I saw families here with some children doing homework while some played a board games. There were literally babies in carriers on the same table next to beers. It was definitely a culture shock for me but once I understood what this place was about I got into. I came back to drink and play board games with friends because why not. Scramble, monopoly, and cards vs humanity are readily available here. Enjoy those games with a DEFCON Red, Koffee Kream Stout, or better sample everything. Samples are just $2 per glass. Don't ask the server when you can easily try to see what beer you like for the cost of a corona.

After visiting Comrade Brewing a few times, it's safe to say we're big fans. The beer is delicious. Their Superpower IPA is perhaps their most famous, thanks in part to being awarded a gold GABF medal, but all their beers are pretty solid. Their American Blonde and Koffee Kream Stout are also pretty amazing. With lots of seasonal and one-off offerings, you're sure to find something to suit your palate. In addition to great beer, the Comrade tap room often has something fun going on. Usually when we've stopped in there is live music or a food truck or both. The space is open, so finding a table is not usually too hard, and there are plenty of games to play while you enjoy your brew. We had a pretty hard-core game of War happening during our last visit. I lost the card game, but the great Comrade beer lessened the sting of the defeat. This is a fun place, and we're happy to have it be a part of our growing Colorado craft beer scene.

The customer is annoying me. . . The distinct impression I got from Comrade brewing, where the only thing russian is a bit of decor AND the service. When we arrived at comrade I asked about samplers and they very brusquely told me - only 3 samplers per son. Its too much trouble/work to do like 15. Okay 1 - i've seen many breweries actually serve huge boards with 15 or more tastings on one for groups. These breweries seemed okay with it. 2 - if your understaffed HIRE PEOPLE don't blame the f'n customer for wanting to try your beers Then the server made some snide comment . . .after I said Thanks. . .about tripping when she picked up the "sampler holder" from the floor near our table (keep in mind it was against a wall/bar and no one could walk through. We will not be back to Comrade. Our experience at Copper Kettle (just down the road) was 100% better. Good news - beer wasn't bad at all. . .but seriously, you have to do more than that in Denver to compete.

Love the atmosphere. It's a larger brewery with commercial garage doors that open on nice days (may have been a part of the car servicing company next door). I ordered their Koffee Kream, a milk stout with coffee and my hubby ordered Man Oar-Board, a Scotch Ale/Wee Heavy. I am definitely not disappointed. Their coffee milk stout rocks! I'm trying to talk the hubby into buying an insulated stainless growler because it just looks so cool and someday, it'll come in handy ;). The service here is great. Staff is smiling and friendly.

Been in twice. Once when very busy, and now on a quiet, rainy afternoon. Their beers are really well crafted. Flavorful! Interesting choices and lots of them. Definitely try the scotch ale and the imperial wit if they have them. The atmosphere is industrial and open. Used to be a car shop. Lots of seating, big bar. Shelf of games. Check it out. Great addition to the Denver craft brewery lineup!

A nice place to grab a beer... Read the reviews about the poor service, and I think some of the confusion might be because all of the service is at the bar only. With that said, poor service can be overcome by great beer, right? 1 TV in the joint probably doesn't make for good sports watching, but with only 2 people working the place it appears as though the owners thoughts are that you should be here to drink (no food service, but you can bring your own!) in other words... This is not a 'fern' bar with all the amenities. I had The Spector, a Belgian-style wheat ale that was big, cloudy, and had a hint of citrus. It was really great. Would I come back? Maybe if I was getting my oil changed across the parking lot. Definitely not if I wanted to watch a game.

We've stopped by Comrade Brewing twice now, and I foresee more visits in our future. They have some of the best IPAs in the area, and the place has been packed both times we've stopped in. Between the Superpower IPA, fresh hopped Superdank IPA, Hop Chop Double IPA, and Putsch Black IPA, we have not been disappointed. I only wish their growler fills were a bit cheaper so we could take some home!

"Sometimes - history needs a push." --Vladimir Lenin I have been here a couple times now. I particularly enjoyed the place on my most recent visit (then again, beer always seems to taste better when you drag Doug Y. along for the ride). The beer here is quite good. And that is the reason most of us will keep coming back to a particularly brewery. The core offerings of Comrade (year-round) include a solid blonde ale (the No Tone "Yellow Card"), the malty red (the DEFCON Red), a wonderfully rich stout (the Koffee Kream Stout--which uses Kaladi beans!), and the obligatory IPA (Superpower IPA) which does not please my palate, but others tell me is mighty tasty. These four strong and varied offerings would be enough to make Comrade a respectable brewery. But, wait, there is more! The variety of "Seasonals, One-Offs, Rotators, and Collaborations" Comrade offers is quite impressive. Three of my personal favorites currently on tap include the Moneypenny (English Summer Ale), a nice crisp German Hefeweizen, and the oh so spicy and flavorful Jalapeño Blonde, AKA "Yellow Fever". The taproom is of a good size. The staff are friendly. The parking is ample. And, if you are not put off by the sheer amount of auto-servicing related businesses surrounding the brew oasis that is Comrade, the location is fine.

This was stop #1 on a recent tour of breweries in the area. I had this place bookmarked for awhile, as I really wanted to try the much raved about Koffee Kream Stout, and while it was good, it was not as good as I wanted it to be. I couldn't even bring myself to want a full pint of it- there was just something about it that was too much for me, though I did enjoy it. I also really liked their DefCon Red. Their seasonal Oatmeal Stout was quite tasty though I found 2 of their other seasonals to be virtually undrinkable: Yank Tank and Autumn Ale; of the 4 of us in our group, none of us could bring ourselves to even finish the tasters of these. My husband loves their Superpower IPA, which tells me that I would come here again just for the fact that they obviously do their year round beers well- the rest may be questionable. Typical brewery space in a commercial strip center. Bartenders didn't have much personality for anyone but the regulars. Decor felt cold and slightly unwelcoming. I would come here again, but it won't be somewhere I'm running back to soon.

The last few months have seen an explosion of new breweries across town. And lately, few and far between have given me great incentive to make frequent returns to try the goods. However, one of those rising to the top of the scene is Comrade Brewing. Finding Comrade can be a bit of a bear in and of itself: located near Evans/Iliff and Quebec, close to the Jiffy Lube and Sonic, you'll spot the large store boasting its name in yellow letters. Once you navigate the weird parking lots, head on in and grab a spot at the bar or one of the many tables. Large, open, and inviting, Comrade has got some serious style. The branding is absolute genius: a hops vine and several pieces of wheat recreate the famous hammer and sickle of the USSR. And damn, the growlers are brilliant as well. It doesn't matter if you've got the best branding in the world if you don't have a stellar beer to fill them up with. Luckily, Comrade's got game! Every beer I've tried here is super lovely, even the jalapeno blonde! It's got some heat, but nothing overbearing. I'm really digging the Irish red and the wheat with lemongrass. Gosh, and the Black IPA. I want them all! Each time I've come to Comrade, the staff has been super friendly and excited to discuss their beers. I even got an impromptu tour of the brewery the other night with Mark, the brewer. He gave me the Cliff Notes of Comrade's set up as we discussed the every expanding beer scene in Denver. I love hearing the excitement and passion when talking to beer geeks. Many congrats to Comrade for setting up an awesome shop on the East side of town! I certainly will be making myself a regular here. Care to come join me for a brew?

Had a great time here yesterday! Staff was helpful in letting you sample and figure out what you like. Attentive and friendly too. Big place, good games, yummy popcorn. We stayed and had several beer flights. The jalapeño beer, man ore'board, and the coffee stout were my favorites. We'll be back for sure!

We came here on Saturday night after a BBQ and came back on Sunday afternoon- it was that great! The Koffee Kream Stout is SO great! I both liked and disliked the create your own taster tray... Sometimes it's nice to have guidance. Just a great brewery with a good feel.

From the moment I stepped into Comrade for a beer last week, no staff members ever smiled at me or anyone in my party and only did the minimum to do their job. I didn't care for the cafeteria style ordering, but even if they don't have table service, they should at least have a staff member come by the tables right away to pick up your trays. We were playing a card game, and since we had about three trays that no one from the staff had picked up, we put them to the side (leaned them on the floor by a support pole). When a staff member did finally happen to walk by and notice the trays, we made a comment to her with a smile like, "oh, there's not enough room and we didn't know where to put the trays" and she remarked back sarcastically, "Yeah, I don't want people to trip". A) I didn't appreciate the sarcasm and B) No one was going to trip over the trays (they were in between three tables where no one was walking by). Everyone I was with enjoyed their beers okay (not the best, but not the worst), but that was not enough for me to ever come back. There are plenty of other Denver breweries with great beer and great service.

My wife and I come here once week for geeks who drink (Wednesdays at 7:00p). We love the beers, and the staff is great. The ambiance is VERY chill. The only downside is that it does get pretty busy at times, which i guess is a good thing but it can make for finding a place to sit a problem. I LOVE the Redshirt Red IPA that they brew!

Big, spacious, clean (so far), large garage doors that opens to let the fresh air in and at the same time giving the open patio look amd feel. Got the word from dear yelp friend of "grand opening" and made out to out of the way (only on weekends) this fine weathered Sat. 3 garage doors were open, guys sitting on window seats enjoying the brew amd looking out at passing cars, i had to hurry in and check out the place my self. Friendly employees pouring elixir from god and i was ready to taste their offerings. I'm not the sophisticated beer snob so almost anything and everything goes except coors lite or anything resembling that. My $5 of 1st four were great. Don't want to mention the names but Yellow Card Blonde Ale was surprisingly good with perfect nose and color with lower ABV which will be great to have on hot summer day. p.s. Chicago dog from Sonics nearby is great complement to IPA. They will deliver. ..on blades Defcon Red, Koffee Kream Stout was pretty good but being IPA die hard fan, Superpower IPA at 7.9% ABV was the winner. Strong hoppy flavor to taste and to nose but not as bitter compare to other IPAs, it was my choice of beer at this joint. Saturday afternoon, place is half packed with more people strolling in as I write this review. Great way to socialize and enjoy the beer. Munches from Wiki Pita food truck parked at the front. Good luck guys, hope to make this joint my favorite.

Weird that this feels hipster in the edge of Aurora, steps away from he infamous beaver damned bar. I am pretty happy this place happened. Its a real brewery to rival any brewery in Denver, the looks are great, communal tables, games, people with takeout and even a child or two. I had 2 pints. One was the Hefeweizen and the other was a wheat beer. Hefeweizen was good, and the Specter, the wheat beer, is a wowzer, its brewed with coriander and orange. The flavor rolls out and is like a meal in your mouth, I love when wine and beers have the wonka gum effect, a before during and end taste. I think that is beer art at its finest. We got a flight, but they call them tasters. I usually do not like stouts or IPA's, as I am not a fan of the punch of bitter flavor and I was blown away. We had two stouts, one was a coffee stout... it tasted exactly like coffee beer! I know that sounds yuck, but somehow it is delicious and delightful. The other stoutish beer, Leroy, is so smooth and flavorful I just loved it. Creamy and yummy, if handmade chocolate had a beer cousin it would be this. The most surprising of the experience was the IPA. I usually cannot stand pale ales, but this was a smooth experience with no bitter flavor. It was yummy, fruity and smooth. All the beers were smooth. Super yum. Thank you for moving less than 5 minutes from my house, Comrades!! We are going to be comrades.

Great startup brewery! Good size room, 60 people far from max out the room. The Owner David took the time to see how we were and talk about his beer. The DEFCON Red is superb. But these folks might consider an age gate. Too many toddlers running around. The IPA is delish! But what's with the guy next to me? Pretty sure he's Putin in his pants. The coffee stout was top shelf, distinct coffee smell, yet as smooth as smooth can be. A definite return trip is in order

Oh Dear Lucy! Their Superpower IPA is so good that I fantasize about it at work! I love this place! Love the staff and the people that frequent it. I always have a good experience although service at the bar can be sometimes slow. I get that you all want to be friendly but when you have a long line you might want to cut the chit chat to move everyone along.

This is one of those breweries that has been getting a lot of buzz around town. I was waiting for the perfect lousy day to visit some breweries and this trip revolved around this brewery. The bartender gave us some great recommendations so we just went with it. The beer that sticks out was the Jalapeno Blonde Ale and she told me this was the least spicy batch and it had a great kick. Most "spicy" beers I find disappointing because they really aren't. Overall, I was happy with virtually all the beers we tasted. I remember the IPA and Pale Ales being really good and it left me wanting to come back for me. As for the atmosphere, I thought it was okay. It's a big open space, which is a bit cold and almost felt too big for this brewery. I would say it was the time of day we went but the other three breweries we hit that same afternoon were slammed. I definitely want to come back and see what other new concoctions they have on tap for me to try and, perhaps, if I'm lucky maybe even a spicier version of the Blonde Ale!

Comrade popped up on the Ye Olde Trusty Yelp App when we were eating breakfast and trying to organize our Sunday Funday. It was recommended by our host at breakfast so off we went. It's nestled in a small business park but has lots of room inside as well a small patio. We were greeted by the bartender who was very friendly and engaged us a little bit and laughed with us. We started with a flight of the red ale, the coffee stout, the fall seasonal, the jalapeño blonde, and the IPA. The red was a little weaker than I like, it tasted watered down but had a nice nutty aftertaste. The coffee was VERY heavy on the coffee flavor, the IPA crisp and refreshing, and the jalapeño blonde mild in spice and subtle in flavor. After finishing the flight we ordered a couple of pints and even took a growler of the Fall Seasonal home. We also met the owner who was very nice and engaging as well. I would definitely come back here for more beer. Cheers!

I came on a Saturday afternoon with a small group of friends. A couple had a beer passport that outlined Comrade participated with specials and so we thought we'd try it out. Their website was very helpful in listing all beer options available, so we could ensure there was something we would all like, before heading over. Location is very easy to find and parking is ample. The seating area is large and there are two ordering counters. They're another brewery that suggests you order-in/bring your own food, and Sonic servers will even roll your order over. There's free WIFI with the password listed on a little menu. The beer choices we went for were all enjoyed. I had the Comrade Bashleigh (wheat choice) and it was enjoyed, though I'm not really a beer fan. It had little aftertaste, which was a selling point for me. And served cold. The Yellow Card had more of a bite if you're looking for flavour. Pricing is reasonable ($4-5) and you have a selection of sizes to choose from (growlers, tasters, pints, etc). They didn't offer the Passport deal (free flight of three) even though they stamped the booklet and so we're not sure if it's offered anymore. Overall, our visit was ok. There was no service to speak of even though there were only two other tables occupied and two employees were tootling around. I would have liked to hear more about their products/story or received more assistance as our table was quickly filled with glasses and never cleared.

Your beer kicks ass. The atmosphere at your place is ok. You should really pay your employees more. Or give them more time off or something. It's very obvious that they're unhappy with their jobs. Kills the whole vibe.

Tremendous beer, absolutely atrocious service. Service was so bad that an otherwise sterling rating got dragged-down to the point that, despite frequenting Comrade regularly, I will consider never going there again. My wife and I were in on a night that the crowd was sparse and the "server" came by infrequently. I honestly don't know what the hell else he was doing, as there might have been all of ten other patrons in the place, but he certainly wasn't serving us. I even attempted to get his attention and was ignored. Shame, as I was considering buying the $125 growler membership, but if the membership comes with such wretched service I wouldn't pay more that $1.25 for the membership. Frankly, I run my own business and if I treated my customers this way I would be incredibly embarrassed.

If you are looking for a place to have a good beer while you have your oil changed, come here. There is a Jiffy Lube right there. LOL. This is great beer too! The Dr and I hit the Whole Foods on Hampden for sammiches/snacks and head to Comrade for beers and oil changes. My favorite is the Honeyman but I also really enjoyed a collaboration they had with Crooked Stave. The Stotch Ale was super sweet but still a good beer.

SOLID beers. I personally dig the industrial feel and the idea that there is cool stuff happening around the brewery. i.e. some hot rodded cars, the sound of an air impact brapping off a lug nut, loud pipes, you know, guy shit. So many of the new breweries are in blasé strip malls, or hidden in the back of a maze of industrial with no signs of life type warehouse areas. But really, it's not about the location but all about the beer. Some good shtuff happening beerwise up in here.

I've been wanting to get to Comrade for awhile, and finally had the chance this weekend. Let's start with the beer. Much of what I tasted ran to the hoppier end of the spectrum. If that's your thing, you'll probably really dig the offerings. it's not so much my favorite (although I respect a well made beer and won't downgrade a rating because I'm not a fan of a particular style). One standout is the Koffee Kream Stout, which was super loaded with coffee flavor. There's no doubt what you're drinking when you pick up this beer. But my personal favorite was the Defcon Red. The malt did a great job of balancing out the hops and giving an all-around good beer. My drinking partner especially liked the Eisenhower (which is a strong golden). The only real weak spot was the Leroy (American brown) which was lacking in flavor. The beer was well made and overall didn't disappoint. The one criticism I have is that, for a relatively large brewery, the menu wasn't that varied. I bet Comrade could make some really amazing beer if they pushed the envelope and experimented a little bit (to be fair, they do make a jalapeno blonde, which was unfortunately out when we visited). The space is huge, but still welcoming. It wasn't busy when we were there, but I can't imagine it ever feeling uncomfortably packed. The design was a bit on the spartan side (we were wondering if it was supposed to evoke a bomb shelter), but it still felt like a place I wanted to hang out. Overall, it's a bit of a hike from my usual hood and there wasn't anything unique enough to make me go out of my way. But if I'm in the neighborhood I'll probably stop in for a Defcon Red, and if I see it on tap someplace near me, I'll definitely order it.

I came here with some coworkers on Friday night and we really enjoyed ourselves. The beer is solid and right up there with some of my favorite breweries in Denver. I tried various samples and my favorites were the Koffee Kreme Stout and Superpower IPA. I ended up getting a pint of the Superpower IPA because I was digging it so much. It was a tropical hop flavor, which I love in an IPA. It packs a punch at 7.9% ABV. I found their KKS super smooth with the perfect coffee balance. It was a bit crowded when we arrived on Friday. We were able to grab the last table. What I love about this place the most is how dog friendly they are. I was able to bring my furry friend who was the center of attention all night. If you know me at all, I am a much happier person when my sidekick is by my side, so I was very happy that Comrade is so dog friendly. This will likely make Comrade my go-to place. Plus, I live 6 minutes away. I am definitely a fan. Street Frites was also parked right outside. This truck was great after a couple beers My coworker and I shared some fries, which were an awesome accompaniment to the beer. All in all, Comrade is a cool place and offers some solid ass beer. So excited to have them close by!

Good quality beer at decent prices, and waking distance from my front door. How can you beat that? Beer is good, mostly average but nothing to much to blow your mind. Their Russian Imperial is great though! Always a good atmosphere as well.

First time here. Great location, especially if you're getting your oil changed at Jiffy Lube, which can take over an hour. Good way to kill the time. (Don't drink and drive). Goods and bads: Good = a 4 glass flight for trying out their beers brewed on site. Only $5 and a good way to discover what they offer. Also, a a balanced selection of beer styles. Growlers available too! Bads = Very small place with a very noisy atmosphere if crowded due to industrial/concrete styled room. Very little in the way of decor and only one TV for sports!? Also, if you want to hear your sports (say, it's the home team playing), you will only get music. Not the worst thing, but.... Goods = The pizzas are very good and a good selection. Bads = hope you feel like pizza, because that's all they have. Goods = Geeks Who Drink Trivia on Wednesday at 7. Bads = They actually charge you $3 for popcorn. For POPCORN! So, if you're in the area and need to kill some time, great! But is it worth going out of your way? Nah.

Solid beers, a bit off the Denver beaten path. They have a 5$ sampler currently which we opted in, everything was very good. I even liked the red, which is a beer I am very fussy about. It had more malt then some versions. They also have a big IPA which is reminiscent of La Cumbre's Elevated IPA NM. I hope to be able to buy that in NM in the coming year- a deal is in the works. The brewhouse is big and modern with a clean slightly industrial feel. You can see why it was chosen as a top new brewery last year.

Dangerous... a brewery opening one block away from my work...Yikes! I stopped in Comrade on a whim for lunch a week after they opened and was delighted to see they were open at 12. Albeit no one was in there yet, I still sidled up to the bar and enjoyed me a sampler of all their beers. I found each was very good and balanced, nothing stood out as spectacular, but I can see them becoming a prominent fixture in the Denver beer scene. The place itself is tucked back off Illif behind the Sonic and in the midst of a couple auto shops. Large, comfortable and laid back would be how I describe the ambiance inside. Both the owner and the bartender chatted me up a little and seemed to be friendly and knowledgeable. I'd recommend going and I'm certain to be a regular so see ya there!

Well worth the trip to Siberia! So many new breweries, so much mediocre beer..but I found myself back in the U.S.S.R. again last night. New breweries are lucky to produce one or two good beers, but Comrade offers an array of well-crafted, flavorful brewskis. The Superpower IPA smells amazing, and offers a complex hoppy experience to the bitter end. If you don't like stouts, try the Russian Imperial Stout and you too might be a new fan. The Yellow Card American Blonde is drinkable, or more like gulp-able and would be refreshing on a hot day. My favorite coffee shop/roaster has partnered with Comrade to produce the Kaladi infused - Koffe Kreme Stout...my new second favorite stout. There is plenty of seating and plan to bring your own food - a well-rated Pho place is nearby. The owner is a nice guy and is likely to stop by your table to welcome you and say hello.

My husband and I went to this brewery because it was close to our apartment and had good reviews. Luckily it didn't disappoint. The Superpower IPA was phenomenal! I can't wait to go back soon to try their other beers.

All I have to say is, "OH MY GOD!". Seriously- AMAZING! We went here just once and I was won over just like that! I am a huge Dry Dock fan, as there really isn't a beer at Dry Dock that I don't like. But, that night- we went to Dry Dock and I was okay with my brew. We then later went to Comrade and I was BLOWN AWAY! I only had the 2 beers (one from each place.). I tried the beer from those who were accompanying us at both places and EVERYTHING from Comrade was OFF-THE-HOOK! I can't wait to go back again and try more!!!! I will tell you though, is that I much prefer the inside interior and atmosphere of Dry Dock. Comrade has a retro steel style feels kind of cold with interior. Also, all the patrons aren't really in a position to where they can easily mingle as there is a variety of smaller high top group bar tables and 4 top lower tables with chairs, as well as a line of single bar style seating facing outside or inside. Not a fan of all that cold almost retro stuff. I prefer a bar that has natural wood, easy seats so that you can intertwine with your fellow patron or be solo without being rude. Dry dock is inviting... other breweries, just haven't seem to gotten it right.... almost as if they are trying to hard to be different stylewise. K.I.S.S.

We tried Comrade out for the first time tonight. It was...ok. The beer was ok, not great, the service was ok, not great. They had live music playing and it was so loud it hurt my ears. There was no way I could talk to my companion. I finished most of my beer, hubby finished his tiny soda (they don't have many options for non-drinkers!) and we left. May try it again, but somewhere to get away from blaring music would be a plus.

Finally a local brewery that I feel like I can frequent. Beer. Is. Good. Comrade is outstanding!

As someone who LOVES to check out new breweries, I was especially excited to check out Comrade brewing co because of their Russian themed branding and drinks! As with many new breweries popping up, the space has an abundance of tables and chairs with board games and pretzels readily accessible. The beers were pretty good and the variety was amazing!

I'm not a huge beer drinker but having moved to Colorado, I decided I needed to get to know the beverage better. The bartender was very helpful, taking what little I knew about beers I could tolerate and turned it into a wonderful tasting for my wife and I. We left with a growler of Eisenhower. One of the best beers I've ever had and definitely going to be my beer of choice for social gatherings.

I am so lucky to live right next to this amazing brewery! The beers are amazing. Right now they've got a collaboration with Crooked Stave on tap and it's fantastic. Geeks who drink trivia takes place every Wednesday at 7. They have some pretty great food trucks rotating through here. Did I mention you can bring your dog? Because this place is totally dog friendly. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. I'm pretty excited I have a great place to be a regular.

Session stout is where it's at. Personable staff, great selection, hand-crafted nectar which tickles the palate. Highly suggest! Das vedanias.

The beer is good. A little tip from one food and beverage industry person to another. Smile ask the customer what you can get for them, and try to acknowledge that they are there. The customer shouldn't have to track down their bartender to close their tab out. I was going to get another round but after 15 min of staring at an empty glass I was done.

The beer is absolutely amazing and the staff is friendly. Chill environment and reggae music (when we visited). Definitely worth a trip in. Plus it's in the middle of an autoplex so go get an oil change and grab a beer or two. Promise you wont be disappointed! Try the IPA or coffee stout

I asked for guidance and all I got was, "They are all good." Which obviously ambiguous and was no help. I could have used what she liked and why. What was the top seller. Maybe a sample-? . . . Ect. I had the Defcon Red. It was an okay red beer. A bit hoppie but okay. M- had the Comrade Bashleigh. It was a blond beer to which, was a bit bland but she got it down. She also said that the bathroom was freezing much like the bartender!! Can't think of a reason to come back.

This is one of my favorite breweries I've checked out here in Denver. It's a remodeled auto shop so the building is very open-- I love that they open the garage doors during the warm summer nights. I was a big fan of the beers they had. I like stouts, and the "Koffee Kream" was a very good representation of a coffee stout. The lemongrass wheat had a nice hoppy kick to it, and my IPA-fan-of a boyfriend really liked it. My favorite beer of the night was the jalapeño ale-- it had a nice spicy kick. The majority of the beers are $5 and there are a few with a higher alcohol percentage that are $6. I elected to order a few tasters, which are $1.50 for 4oz. They had an italian food cart attached to the outside of the brewery-- can't complain about the buzz-munchies they provide. We went on a Wednesday night and they had Geeks Who Drink at 7:00pm -- I would highly suggest this location because it wasn't overly crowded and it was easy to get a seat even when trivia started! Overall, this is a wonderful craft brewery and I definitely recommend it to all of you craft brew connoisseurs.

Finally found a brewery in Denver with reds, ambers, stouts, and IPAs that have complexity and are miles away from the bland, boring, yet more popular breweries in the area. I could drink the DEFCON red all day long!

Really good craft beer. One of my favorite brewing companies. Definetly try the yellow card. Ask for Ben when you come in very knolegeable and a good guy to chit chat with.

Visited for the first time last night. Lots of seating and I thought the staff was ok. Large selection of beers and prices are in line with breweries around Denver. Beer was good but nothing special compared to others, however oatmeal stout was the best of the 5 I sampled. I would go back If in area.

They allow dogs. No servers. No AC. Beers are pretty flavorless for $5 a pint. Did I mention that they allow dogs...in the area where you a drinking.....dog hair floating everywhere. Don't buy the hype. This is must miss. I am sure they are going to find a Ukranian or European brewery to invade at some point too. Must miss.

This place is pretty cool! Only been open since April but their beers are amazing. Comrade red is my favorite so far. Nice to have a good brewery not downtown. We will be coming back!!

This place will turn you into Lenin. Their beers are out of this world. Quit Stalin, Russian Imperial Stout, will have you invading Finland in no time. The atmosphere is great for setting up the next rise of Trotsky's ghost. Better than the family setting of Dry Dock.

Wow. Honeyman IPA so good it will make you cry. This place in one year has gone from new commer to the brew pub scene to the best joint around (Denver has a few good one's). If you like beer this is a must try. Price is super good too and the staff is fun.

I was underwhelmed by their beers. My friend and I each bought a flight to get the full experience. It is nice that it's such a big place, and my bartender was friendly. I also liked their use of lunch trays to carry your beer. So smart! I liked the Koffee Kream Stout, but that's not the style of beer that I can really drink a whole pint. The rest of the beers were lacking and I don't think it will make it's way into my regular brewery rotation.

Nice layout, conveniently located off the bike path, and they have one of the best IPAs in Colorado. Hell yes.

I was in Denver for few days visiting a friend and we went to check out Comrade. They have a cool atmosphere and really great beer. The vibe is pretty relaxed -- my first time in was a Friday night and they had Street Frites out front serving food and the big garage doors open. I started with tasters of the seven beers on tap and they were all delicious and drinkable. My favorites were the No Tone blonde ale, Koffee Kream Stout and Enhanced Interrogation Pale Ale. The No Tone is a blonde that is perfect for drinking in warm weather. Koffee Kream Stout was so smooth and easy to drink despite it's darker color. It has a great aroma as well. By far the one I enjoyed the most was the Enhanced Interrogation Pale Ale. It's really refreshing with just the right amount of bitterness -- so many pale ales seem to over do this and I can never drink more than one, but this one was really enjoyable. I went back another day and they had another food truck, Wiki Pita serving that day. I love the rotating food trucks because as a visitor I get to try out different Denver eateries too! This time it was just me and my friend and we sat at the bar. The staff was great both times I went in, but this time since we were at the bar, they really stood out to me. They were friendly and chatted with us, offering up some ideas of places to check out while I was in town. These guys also really know beer and it was interesting to talk to them about the brewing process and what their next round of beers will be. All-in-all, I would definitely recommend checking this place out, the beers are superb and I really liked hanging out here while in Denver.

Great atmosphere, good beer, and love the fact they have board games available. They seem to be a bit understaffed but the staff is always friendly and on the ball clearing empties from tables. I do enjoy the selection of food trucks they have and like that it is fido friendly.

After initially being disappointed due to dropping in on a Tuesday when they are closed, we decided to give them a try on the weekend. They have a really solid IPA. We also had some of the lighter beers (not much of a stouts fan in the summer). The space is open and inviting, and they have rotating food trucks visiting. Definitely will be one of my favorite breweries in the neighborhood this summer.

Went a few times, just didn't like it. Very poor service, I was pretty much only person there. I was really excited for this brewery, but I wouldn't recommend it. I was walking out with this old guy and he asked me what I thought, and just shrugged. He followed up with, "all these new breweries are more concerned about their gimmick than the $5 a beer they're selling".

Love the decor and seating. Two large garage doors open to allow a nice breeze. We tried the Yellow Card and DEFCON Red. Both were great. My only complaint is I wish the menu was a little more extensive, but I appreciate that's it's all made in house.

Very solid brewery. Just getting started, but they know the business. Well crafted beers and nice setup. The owner gave us the two minute tour and it looks like they are already planning an expansion. Very refreshing addition in the new brewery world!!

Great beer and super friendly. The guy I'm assuming who is the owner asked us If we wanted a quick tour and that was great. Love the building and of course the beer. My favs Defcon Red and Koffee Kream Milk Stout. They offer flights and growlers and prices are great. Wish it was closer to us. Highly recommended!

Great new brewery! The owner, David is super cool. The DEFCON Red is not to be missed. The Kreme Stout is awesome... I would totally drink that for breakfast out in the woods! Do not miss the two brews in rotation right now. The Crotch Grabber is a really well balanced black IPA without the mineral flavors (that I personally don't like) often found with black patent malt. The Enhanced Interrogation Pale Ale has an awesome Hull Melon hop (a new hop from Germany) that was really aromatic and refreshing for summertime. These guys are the real deal, and clearly prepared to make their mark on the Colorado craft beer scene. I just can't wait to get this in a store near me! Way to go David & the gang!!

I had originally given 3 stars. The staff is great, and they are dog friendly, but I wasn't wowed by the beer. I am giving an extra star because the owner reached out to me to see where I thought they could improve, which encouraged me to give them another try. I do think the beer has improved since my first visit, but more importantly, they are very customer service focused and want to improve.

  • Ben V.

No samples! This is a joke. I almost left because they wouldn't give me a 1/2 oz taste. I will never go back based on that crap service alone. Then I realized that their beer is middle of the road at best. I could have been okay with mediocre beer, but no taster means I will never go back. Demand they give you a sample, it is a microbrewery. It's like going to a Mexican restaurant and they don't give you chips and salsa. That is un-American!

Decided to stop in during lunch break last Friday after reading an article about the opening. I was not disappointed! I was only able to try 3 beers but all were outstanding. The Koffee Kream Stout is easily one of the best non barrel aged coffee sweet stouts I've had. Big bold coffee, nice roastiness and very smooth. Their Defcon Red is a different red but really good, sweet malty and the color isn't as deep a red as most are which was different. The last I tried was a sorachi ace hopped pale that was fantastic. The sorachi hops give it a wonderful lemon nose and taste. I will be goimg back soon and believe it will be one of my regular atoos. Oh and their logo is one of the best I've seen! Very cleaver to use the ingredients for beer and show them as they do.

A huge, cavernous space - they may want some sound baffling in there soon - and the beer was really ho hum. After tasting them all I went with the Crotch Grabber, which was the most palatable of the bunch. My companion and I were ready to throw down some coin for good beer, but we only ended up with one a piece. Says something. I could not drink their Superpower (a true West Coast IPA it is NOT) as it was quite unbalanced and the hop bite grabbed my salivary glands and would not let go. They had just tapped the Moneypenny summer ale, and it was definitely sessionable and smooth, just not my cuppa beer. No heft, no real personality. I'm sure, given the dearth of brewery options in this out-of-the-way area, that Comrade will hold its own, but the beer is not on par with other new places (Station 26 leaps to mind) and it will be interesting to see if this brewery survives. So many brewers in the tanks these days!

I came to this brewery on a whim after finding out about it through a friend. I tend to be pretty discerning over new businesses (say critical), and this place blew me out of the lager. From the entrance marked by its Soviet-block colors and font to the clean lines and industrial feel, I was intrigued. Then I tasted the beer -- holy hops! It was fantastic! I later got the opportunity to speak with the brewmaster and owner, Marks and David, respectively. Both were incredibly understated and eager to teach about their product. I highly recommend any opportunity to visit Comrade Brewing Company. I know I'll be back . . . and wearing red.
