I grabbed a chicken burrito bowl for dinner. On my way out, I was approached by a homeless person who asked for a hot meal. I obliged and gave away my dinner. I went back in to grab another chicken bowl and was immediately asked if I had missed them that I returned so quickly. I laughed and told them about the giveaway and they in turn comped my dinner! Chipotle was awesome and they definitely paid it forward!

Have to agree with others about this place getting stingy. I ordered a chicken quesadilla and it barely had any chicken at all! Not only that but they almost burned my quesadilla as it really had started to turn very dark and too crisp yet the employees didn't even offer to do another one. I suggest you drive farther to the next Chipotle rather than go to this one. Plus if you have no choice but to come here, avoid it during lunch hour as it gets crazy with all the students from East High School coming in droves to eat around the area.

by far the stingiest chipotle I've ever been to. I realize food costs money, and 6.50 isn't a lot for a burrito, but the burrito I got from here was half the size of any other chipotle burrito I've ever had. and definitely not worth the 6.50.

We arrived 6pm on NYE... The person on the tortilla and meats was friendly... The girl following had a problem with servicing requests. To preface my review... You can go online and order bowls with no beans extra rice tortilla etc at no extra charge as long as they all even out. Apparently this female worker didnt like my requests and decided to speak in an attitude and give coy looks at her manager who was tending the register. Then the next 2 bowls had the same type of requests and she was giving off her uppity attitude with a side of ghetto B... What bothered the most was the manager who was on the same equatorial plane as his employee who lacked professional courtesy. I had a photo that they flagged so I will be putting this review from an elite who hardly gives 1 stars. I also will be contacting HQ to hopefully allow you who work here the ability to receive correct training and procedures as it is reflective of the Chipotle brand. FYI... The burrito bowl was gross. Ended up throwing it up... BEFORE the drinking. Thanks.

And here I arrived to write this review anticipating that I'd be able to warn others of the STINGINESS of this Chipotle, but clearly the warning has already been given. I've consumed nearly 1000 Chipotle chicken burritos in my life (14 years at 1-2 a week got me there). You might even call them my lifeblood - when times are tough, the fridge is empty, or my stomach is begging for sustenance - this is my salvation. Unfortunately, I've been cursed with the very near proximity of this particularly foul Chipotle and tonight was the final straw. My burritos here tend to be about 75% of the size of normal ones, but tonight was pushing 60%. Also, I have a sneaking suspicion that the employees at this establishment are well aware of how stingy they are being (probably imposed by management), which is why they are so predictably and methodically rude. I understand how expensive rent is in this complex, but you'd gain sooooo much more loyalty with slightly larger portion sizes. So, if you happen to be reading this when deciding which Chipotle to go to, here are some suggestions. If you're along Colorado Blvd., in Park Hill, or Congress Park go straight to the one across from Trader Joes near 7th. If you're in Uptown/Downtown/Cap Hill just head to the 17th and California location and safely gamble by parking in the lot next door and getting your order to go. Hell, even the Cherry Creek one has been great, especially with all of the construction going on as of late over there. Do note that the Alameda/Logan location is one that they use for food trials, so that can be a particularly good one to visit. Lastly, the Tech Center (Bellevue) Chipotle is fantastic, despite getting overrun with businessmen and Cherry Creek kids on a daily basis. Anyway, unless I experience a desperation so profound that a hypothetical circumstance completely escapes me, I shall never return to this store. One exception to this is if I journey back to this godforsaken Yelp page and find that the reviews have dramatically improved. But honestly Chipotle, 2.5 stars derived from the same general complaints? Unacceptable. Do better.

Yep. I came to this particular Chipotle to complain about getting under-served, and I see it's a rampant and chronic issue here. The word "stingy" shows up a lot. And well it should. I frequent both 16th Street Mall Chipotles, and they've led me to expect certain portion sizes, THREE tacos with an order, et cetera...I couldn't believe it when (ordering tacos) the gal serving me started me off with two tortillas and no rice (until I said something) and then told me "it's extra, you have to ask." WTF? What is going on with this location? I like their sofritas a lot, but the next time I'm thinking of going in here after a show at the Sie or browsing the Tattered I may just head over to Pinche Tacos instead. Because this is the real "pinche" place, pardon my espanol.

It pains me to say this but I have always had a problem with this location especially at my last visit! The burrito I ordered had absolutely no season on anything not the chicken not the rice and not the salsa. My burrito was so bland it was awful! Also the guacamole I got didn't have any seasoning either. This location sucks the people aren't friendly and they always try to give you smaller portions than normal!! I will no longer be visiting this location due to the constant bad visits!!! Avoid this location at all cost.

Chipotle is one of my favorite fast food go to places. It's always fresh and always tastes good. However, lately it seems like every time I go (location doesn't matter) whatever I'm looking for (carnitas, fajita veggies) are currently being cooked. Today was no different! I happily waited for those items so I could have the lunch I wanted. They gave me a complimentary drink since I had to wait which has never happened. Food was tasty as always. The guacamole was extra delicious today and my bowl was so packed with delicious food that I even have lunch for tomorrow. Score!

So stingy . Food was cold after a 2 min drive . Ride staff . I drive out of my way to the one on Broadway.

I'm not gonna waste much time on chain food reviews. Suffice it to say, it fills the hole. I love how people think one location is vastly different from another; no, sorry it isn't. Chipotle is mexi-american assembly-line food; average at best. Overly limed food, I try to eliminate the offensive item but it seems to contaminate everything. Can I get a jalopeno ya think? No. They don't have anyway to add any heat to your mexican other than hot sauce. Not a fan really, but end up eating a kids meal from here about once a week.

COLD carnitas burrito. Really cold, not even lukewarm, hope I don't get food poisoning.

I'm not sure what it is about Chipotle these days but all of them are getting very stingy with their ingredients. You place an order and get very little food. It's time to start going to QDoba. And where did they find the people that work there? Really bad attitudes. The future does not look good for Chipotle.

  • C.L. W.

Worst Chipotle around. I've been here on more than one occasion and have felt gypped every time. Is the price of corn getting pretty steep or what? When I asked for more corn salsa they were kind enough to toss a few more kernels in my bowl. Not trying to work the system here, Chipotle. Just trying to get the portion size I'm accustomed to when i eat at your restaurant.

    (2)
  • James T.

Worst Chipotle ever. They are so stingy! Apparently their beans are made out of gold, and their cheese is made out of platinum, because they don't want to give more than a teaspoon of either. Short changing people on beans? And they pretend like you're insane if you ask for more.

    (1)
  • Ricky L.

This location skimps! I've been here twice now and both times the burritos have been much smaller than at all other stores. They do not have any Tabasco sauce either.

    (1)
  • Nick S.

This is an example of a perfect Chipotle. While there are no 'bad' Chipotles (except for an awful one in Toronto) there was something about this location that felt exceptional. The staff said hello to everyone who walked in. They were skilled in the artisanal craft of quesadilla-making. The whole place just had a plain "happy" feel to it.

    (5)
  • Lindsay W.

I consistently experience incredibly rude, unhappy service here. I have had burrito bowls thrown across the counter at me, have gotten angry comments when the employees have not made my burrito correctly and to make matters worse I've never seen worse traffic than in this intersection. I love chipotle, but don't go to this one. Save yourself sanity and go to the one that's at 8th and Colorado. They're much friendlier and actually care if you're happy with your food or not.

  • Andrew T.

I'm currently on crutches with a foot injury and I went in today to grab a chicken bowl. I got to the counter and forget my wallet. I said I had to go back out to my truck and grab my wallet and when I was almost to the door they came with my bowl and gave it to me on the house. That was really nice of them and want to thank all the staff for doing this. Good Karma goes around.

A handful of visits all account for this poor rating. To start, I've visited this location with a free burrito coupon twice, and both times, the cashier was unpleasant and looked really annoyed that I had a coupon. Then, I went there tonight on my way home, and I had a terrible burrito. The rice was hard and the black beans were really undercooked. To top it off, I had a veggie burrito, yet there four slices of green pepper and two slices of onion in the entire burrito. Next time, I think I'll drive the extra mile and hit the Chipotle on 8th and Colorado-it is so much better!

    (1)
  • Nisa L.

OK, this was my last visit to this place. The portions are getting smaller and smaller. I ordered a veggie salad and although it tasted great there wasn't much of it. I think the bowls are getting smaller every time I go there. Qdoba has a good taco salad that comes in a crispy tortilla bowl and there are lots of smaller places with better taco salads. The staff is pleasant but the other customers did not look so happy.

A Chipotle is a Chipotle is a Chipotle....so I figure if you've been to one before you will know what to expect for the food. The location here is awesome right off Colfax. Although I don't advice going on the weekdays around noon because you will be battling all of the East High School kids for burritos (This overload of teenagers definitely turns me into such an agitated old fogie who actually starts uttering phrases like, "Kids these days" ). The staff is friendly and fast in prep and the store itself is clean and big. You can order your burrito online and pickup here, which is quite handy. If you are a fan of Chipotle, than never fear! If you aren't, than you probably aren't reading this...

This location is one I frequent a lot. The staff work fast and are well trained, and the food is good, and hot when you need it. Located in the Tattered cover block, they are faced right onto Colfax and across from East High School. SO don't try for lunch when the kids are there, the crowd is well, amazing. Even with such large crowds, they work fast and move the line right through. Fairly healthy foodwise, and depending on what you order, this is one of my favorite fast places to eat.

Believe it or not there are good and bad Chipotles! (ie: the one that closed on 13th and Penn). This is a good one. They get all the basics done with a smile. I've been here close to a dozen times, mostly on the weekend and it's good. I did recently go pre-east high crowd (11:45a) and looked like they were ready to go. To that point, they seem well staffed and knowledgable about the lunch rush.

If you order your burrito online, it gets named after you and wears a name tag. I did an online order, ran in, grabbed it, and left. The only thing that would have made it more convenient would have been if it were delivered. Chipotle burritos aren't my favorite, but it was made to my specification, and hit the spot. The ladies at the counter were very nice, despite an obvious language barrier. This is my favorite local location located in Denver Metro. It's very clean, and right next to Twist & Shout. So you can buy an album to play loudly and cover up any gas you might earn over Chipotle.

This place seriously sucks....used to be amazing, customer service downhill, ask for extra brown rice twice, get the smallest portion ever, say it is okay i will pay for it, the kid gives attitude, ask again and the same, so i leave, will there sits the manager in the lobby with some guy, explains everything. This use to be my favorite place to come. Chipotle has really lost it's customer service, so sad.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
