Brothers is one of our old favorites. I always love the consistency, and my favorite thing on the menu are the sliders. I always leave here feeling stuffed. It's comfortable to sit there and eat, as well as to take out. Sometimes I feel conspicuous sitting in restaurants like this, but the atmosphere is comfortable. They have a cool atmosphere with old license plates all over the walls and music. The staff is always pretty friendly and helpful. The location in the tech center is also great too. I would definitely recommend it if you want a good meal of barbecued meat.

Ordered the Sampler pack which was wayyyy over priced ($35). came with these tiny foil packages of chicken, beef, pork, and 5 ribs. Literally the foil packages the meat came in were the size of a pack of cigarettes. The meat was okay (nothing to brag about). The worst part was that they only gave 2 tiny 1/2 ounce sample cups of BBQ sauce. The mac and cheese was bland (needed salt) and the potato salad was bulk king soopers straight out the carton stuff. The food overall was 3 stars I am giving this place 1 star because of the service. The guy who took my order was very rude. They had Bruno Mars blasting on the speakers so I could barely hear anything said. I changed my order and the guy rolled his eyes at me (I guess to him this was a huge inconvenience even though I was literally the only customer in the building) And proceeded to talk about me in Spanish (He thought I couldn't understand) I will never go here again. I was hoping to get a nice easy family meal on a Monday night but instead got mediocre expensive food and bad attitude.

I lived in Kansas City for a time and this is on par with some of KC's best barbecue establishments. As soon as you walk in the door, you can smell the smoker going. The meat has a good smoke flavor, but it is not overpowering to the point where all you can taste is the smoke. The owners worked hard to make good sauce combinations with the meat. The sauces they recommend (on the sign) are indeed the best ones to eat with your choice of entree. I had the tangy vinegar with my pork and the original with the brisket. Both were seasoned to perfection. I also tried a little of the hot--don't use too much! The beans (which were one of my sides) had little bits of the pulled pork in them--a nice addition. They also had a little kick to them--which made them all the better. Its obvious the staff puts care into each menu item. Looking forward to my next visit.

Amazing food. Best Mac and cheese ever. Only problem I had was the staff didnt seem to notice it's a place of business and were shouting at each other the majority of my dining experience. Lucky for them, the pulled pork was enough to bring me back. Perhaps though with noise canceling headphones.

In high school Latin class I learned about two classical rhetorical devices that come to mind when telling you about my lunch at Brothers BBQ, today . . . Imagine that I was hitch hiking and was dropped off near the corner of Leetsdale and Monaco at about noon. Imagine that I'm hungry, and that there are few restaurant choices in the neighborhood. Imagine that I decide to go into Brothers for some BBQ. Here's what might be said about my lunchtime experience (and if you can name the 2 rhetorical devices used below, it's worth a lunch at one of Denver's best BBQ joints for you) (either Yazoo's or Boney's:): "I'm not saying that only people who don't have cars and who find themselves starving while right outside the door of Brothers BBQ are the only people who should think about eating there. What I guess I am saying is that this is certainly not the worst BBQ you could find on Leetsdale." (This contest ends after the first winner submits his/her answer, or 1 year from now, whichever occurs sooner:). Sign me, :-David "Trebek" M.

I think this location must have changed management recently, because it used to be great. The food quality is so/so now and the customer service us so bad that I won't be going back. Counter staff is rude and twice in a row I've gotten home with a "to go" order to discover its wrong. Won't be returning...can't recommend it to anyone.

Freakin amazing my boyfriend and I both got the two meat special everything was cooked to perfection. The staff was very friendly and polite. The place was clean and the smokey aroma was to die for and made our mouths water. Coming back for sure!!!! Yummmmmmmy!!!

Normally, I love this place and all the locations. Today was the exception as I brought 6 people visiting from out of town to come join me for dinner. Unfortunately, we ended up going to Las Tortas instead because the place was completely filled with smoke. It would not have been possible to sit and enjoy a meal. The people working there seemed to be used to it. Not sure, but it seemed like a fire hazard. It's a shame because I really like the food and wanted to share that experience with my friends. Luckily, Las Tortas did not disappoint. Hopefully, Brothers BBQ gets this fixed so we can try the place out another time.

Pretty damn good food. Responsive employees. Good variety. To-die-for banana pudding. Parking is a little rough-small lot at the intersection of two busy streets.

In Denver for Christmas 2013 and found this little place. This location is one of five in Denver started by brothers Chris and Nick in 1998 in a converted garage. Went there twice while in town. Excellent BBQ and sides. I found it to be a little pricey but top quality. Wish they were in Miami so I could be a regular.

Ok, I was jonesing for some ol' skool hood BBQ, and had to drive to a part of the Denver area, where I was told its the not sooo good side, and I should stay out of that area. Im glad I dont follow and listen to anybody and everybody. I had the smoked 1/2 pound beef brisket and 2- sides mac n cheese and potato salad, and my buddy from Chicago had the smoked hot links and pork ribs...everything in our baskets hit da spot! Its not in any place I would describe as bad neighborhood or location. Jus a hood LOL! a neighborhood. The food was very good and you get too choose the sauce from their regular to their hot stuff! Good ALL AROUND place too eat!

I like this place. Small, unpretentious and decent BBQ. I usually hit it during off hours since it is small and limited parking. My favorite is the chicken, and they have enough regional sauce flavors to keep it interesting.

I've lived in the south and tried South Carolina BBQ, Tennessee BBQ, and several others in between; but for me, Brothers takes the cake. This is one of the places I try to visit every time I'm back in Denver (went to high school across the street). Today I had the pulled-pork sandwich special with fries and a drink for around $10. The fact that you choose your own sauce (at least when you eat in) in a nice bonus. I like to mix the original and spicy. The fries are also freshly prepared, hot and slightly crispy (not at all over done though), just how I like them! I will definitely be back.

BBQ... Like it HOT... Like it JUICY... Like it SPICY... We went to this location of Brothers BBQ on one of the weekends. It was on Saturday Oct 10th 2009, straight from Lafayette, CO. It was a late lunch for us and we were starving. Both Hubs and I were craving for something BBQ, so I suggest this outlet to him. Though I cant deny the place to dine here is tiny, its cozy. I cant keep noticing the BRITISH Flag they have, and put it on one of the walls as part of the decor. The rest of the wall is also filled with license plates across the USA. I so wish they could have a bigger place to dine in.. Perhaps I could try other locations and see how it differs etc etc... We decide to dine in since the weather was pretty chilly on that weekend. Anyhoo, these are what we order while we were there : * On The Bone Wings Hot * Beef Brisket Sandwich * Meat Special, of 1/2 lb of Beef Brisket that comes with 2 sides. For the 2 sides we opt for Mashed Potatoes and Potato Salad. BBQ Goodness, with a Capital D ~ DELISH, that's it. Hubs like it alot and same goes to me. The staff was so generous that instead of the 6 wings we order, he gave us extra wings and does not charge any extra cost for it. I like the flavor of the WINGS. Still trying to figure out the spices to which they put on those WINGS and those BEEF BRISKET. Like it until Hubs told me perhaps one day we could call them to DELIVER it to our door steps from the Brothers BBQ Catering... Thank you Brothers BBQ. Its definitely BBQ-LICIOUS! Finger lickin goodness! Cant wait to return! We decide to bring home the left-overs so I can enjoy the rest of what we ordered that chilly afternoon.

Stopped in for lunch the other day and it is pretty good as usual. I got the pulled port sandwich with hot links on it, grilled onions and coleslaw. It was pretty darn tasty. I wish there were a few more slices of hot link as it was hard to really notice they were there. The sauces are all so good too--hard to pick a favorite, but I think the original is the all around best one. Will definitely be back!

Tasty Yes. Worth it? No. I've been meaning to try them for months after moving here from the East Coast and finally did today. I ordered "The Brother" which was $8+ to go. I got home, unwrapped it, and thought it had to be a joke. This was the size of a value menu fast food sandwich for $2. I'm a pretty thin, skinny guy, but I could EASILY eat two of these and a side. Had I ordered it to eat there I would have walked right back to the counter and asked if they were serious.

Here in Denver I think we're hard pressed for good BBQ. I like the Carolina Vinegar w/ Slaw on the top BBQ. We've searched high and low for years ! While Brothers isn't as authentic as what you will find in South Carolina, it *is* the closest we've come in Colorado. When you're looking for good BBQ in Denver, this is the place to come !

I have had Brother's BBQ catered for lunch before and it's one of my favorites. My husband has just started to love BBQ too, so we were really happy to see the Denver Perks coupon the other day. My stars go for the hot links and the BBQ sauces. I took the dare as it states on the menu to try the hot sauce with the hot link and I loved it, although my lips were burning for some time after! So, needless to say, the hot BBQ sauce is my fave. I also really like the vinegar sauce on the pork. The Carolina mustard is tasty too, I like it on the hot link. I like the hot link because it is thinly sliced then grilled. All the other hot links I've had are just a big grilled sausage. This makes for crispy little pieces of deliciousness. I do not like the ribs, they are too smoky for my taste. I like to taste the meat, not just smoke. The pork shoulder is juicy and very tasty. It's very tender. I wish there were more sides. The slaw is good, potato salad and mac & cheese are pretty average. I tried the seasonal corn on the cob and it had no flavor, very bland. The bread you get on the side is a lightly grilled hamburger bun, really. The service was great. Very polite and helpful. The man behind the counter was very knowledgeable on the menu and sauces. I heard one guy joking with him about how he must have never eaten a meal there!

YES! and too be honest, a I feel like this is the first time I found a place in Denver that has good, original sweet iced tea. I also appreciate how they use people's real names instead of just a number when your scrumptious meal is ready. The sausage was nice and juicy, and the beans are exactly say on the menu, it does have a little kick. The gravy on their mash potato's, is house made, and it is as delicious as they say it is. And their house made sauce is unique for the open minded, and expanded palette, and the fries...yeah, there better than McDoanld's. Personally, I don't like cole slaw, but there is no better combination then cole slaw and BBG, amazing. Everything you get there is satisfying and also great for an hour lunch, or family dinner. The only reason for the four stars is the location and as well as parking. Parking is limited and also shares space with another business on a small lot. But other than that, Brother's BBQ is an original taste, great attitude, and they have take out, in innnn!

Was my Favorite BBQ joint in Denver, but now my second favorite. See my other reviews for the best BBQ in the state by a mile. I always order the two meat special with pulled pork sandwich and hotlinks with mashed potatoes and Coleslaw. Mac n Cheese is worth passing on. My girlfriend usually orders ribs and she said they were great. Definitely make the trip to this fine establishment

Worst burger ever. Smells bad too! And the chicken sandwich was the worst. Also their coleslaw is the worst I've ever tasted.

I had the pork rib special. The ribs were very tender, wish they had cooked some sauce on them but they have sauce at the table. My husband had the brisket sandwich, it wasn't what we expected it was shredded but it was tasty, wasn't his fave though. After I left however the food didnt agree with me and we had to find a bathroom fast! Unfortunate because It tasted soooo good!! But makes me scared to every go back.

Brothers knocked it out of the park with the large order of perfectly cooked Burnt Ends. Beans were fab and the crew working (Deandre and Bradlee) were rock stars with great enthusiasm and service. I will be back to try the Brother sandwich. Taylor Gang or Die!

Let me start with, the food is good. Best fries in Denver. Bought the sauce for the family dinner. The dining experience left a little to be desired last Friday. Broncos playing, "TV broken". Beer with your Q? Liquor license challenge, no beer on a Friday night. Sold me a soda but the ice machine was broken. The Devil is in the details my Brothers.

I came here last weekend with my dad. It was a Monday night around 7 and they were not super busy. There were a few open tables. We both ordered the chicken, and I got salad and fries as my sides. My dad got baked beans and coleslaw. There is nothing special about the BBQ sauce, and nothing blew me away in terms of the flavor of the chicken. This place is good, but I don't think I will need to go back.

Unbelievable, you will not be disappoint after eating here!! "The Brother" is amazing, 4 kinds of bbq sauce to fit any taste, cool urban vibe with all metal chairs and tables, license plates from all over. Awesome thing is that as soon as you open the door you blasted with the smell of bbq. Pulled pork is moist and is good alone but add some sauce and it really takes it to the next level. All around a good experience, fast/ friendly service. Only critique of you can call it that is I wish the place was a bit bigger, then again it might take away from the overall vibe. All the sides are good but really save room for the banana pudding, seems like the make it fresh we take are 2y rold and he loves the Mac n cheese. I've been to this location at different times and every time I try something different and have not been disappointed. No excuse to have lousy bbq in this town with this place open. Enjoy.

I've eaten at several of the Brothers' locations, as well as this one, several times and it has always been good, although somewhat pricey. *I had to come back and change my review as of early 2015. Sadly after I raved about the beef ribs, the train went off the tracks. 3x now in the past 6 months I've gone back to get some beef ribs and every time there has barely been any meat on the bone, and none of these visits were on their rib special night. Their price for beef ribs isn't cheap so I was massively disappointed to get home, open up my dinner to find the ribs looking like someone had already had a go at them & then were put back in the smoker. First time, I thought it was just an off night, & didn't go back for any until a few months later, only to get home and find them again quiet bare. So I let a few more months go thinking they had to be back to the giant meaty ribs they used to have that made me slather an overzealous review of love, but nope. The people that work here are super nice and even though my rib situation has sucked, they have continued to have wonderful people working here. The sandwich and rib deal only come with a side the size of a Dixie cup which is also a let down with the cost. The location is a bit tricky since it is on a small slice of space on a very busy intersection that is typically backed up in all directions. Coming in a little later in dinner time is a good bet. There's a few other BBQ places within range now so unfortunately Brothers has moved further down my list. :(

Best cue in southeast Denver.Only negative limited parking. The meats are perfect, flavorful and very tender. The sauces are also very flavorful but not overpowering. I've eaten at the Denver location and the Broomfield location and both are very consistent. The portions are pretty good.Highly recommend.

For years I've been wanting to try this food. We don't eat out often, so I was really hoping for a special treat. What a disappointment! The service was really friendly, he recommended items from the menu. The meat, chicken and pork, was tasteless, the 3 different BBQ sauces I tried were all over powered by vinegar taste, the bread was hard as a hockey puck, the coleslaw had no taste and was rather dry, it also tasted like vinegar, the mac and cheese. were tasteless, tasted as if they were made with powdered cheese. I will NEVER eat there again.

I ate here today and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. I got the pulled pork sandwich with potato salad, macaroni and cheese, and baked beans. The pork was delicious, smoked, tender and flavorful. They provided 3-6 different sauces so you sauce the meat yourself. The sauces I tried were were good; one was nice and spicy the other one was rich and sweet. The macaroni and cheese was so surprisingly amazing. Creamy white cheddar, I could've eaten 2 pints it was so good. The potato salad was just as enjoyable. I was a little disappointed with the beans but I still liked them. I can not wait to come back here and try their ribs and mashed potatoes. So glad I came here! Would give 5 stars, but this place is EXPENSIVE.

Being from Texas, I have very high standards for BBQ. And the fact that my husband makes the best BBQ ever on his smoker, means that we're both hard to impress. I had high expectations for Brothers BBQ after reading the reviews and thought it was pretty tasty. We picked up some cole slaw, baked beans, macaroni and a sample meat platter which came with four sandwich rolls. The beans were the bomb! They weren't the typical sweet and sugary beans. I really wish I knew the recipe, but it must have involved a lot of chili seasoning and actual chunks of smoked meat (yum)!! I was really craving brisket - and theirs hit the spot. The ribs were another fave - sooooooooo tender and covered in just the right amount of tasty BBQ sauce. The mac and slaw didn't really do anything for me and I thought the chicken and pork were a little bland/dry (I'm suddenly feeling like I need a work out again), but my hubs really enjoyed the hot links. All of the was just over $30, which isn't cheep - but we have leftovers (and we ordered a lot of meat)! Apparently they use an electric smoker - and I must say that the meat didn't have the same "smokey" flavor as our home-cooked goodness. And it was lacking a good "bark."

Had the urge for some BBQ after reading about a few places I thought that I would try this place. The mac-n-cheese was absolutely one star, nothing special about it at all. The ribs were seasoned well but thats all that was on them; no BBQ sauce. When i was given my order I was asked what type of BBQ i wanted I thought that it was extra. Definitely not, I was given two small sides of BBQ for my order. If you cannot give out you BBQ sauce to customers then you must not be that good. The staff was friendly is about the only good thing i experienced here.

Having spent my whole life visiting/living in the south, BBQ is a BIG part of my life! I have been wanting some for a while now, so tonight I visited Brother's BBQ for the first time and it was delicious!!! I ordered a pulled pork sandwich w slaw on top, a side of mac & cheese and beans PLUS banana pudding & a sweet tea. At first I thought the price for the sides was too expensive because they're so small, when actually it was worth it & the size turned out to be perfect! The beans were rather spicy, which I didn't care for, but good and the mac & cheese was SUPER creamy! The sandwich was AMAZING and HUGE by the way! I chose the Carolina BBQ sauce. Mmm mmm mmm so good!!! I've only had a small bite of the banana pudding, so far, as you can imagine I'm already STUFFED. Anyway, it's pretty good; however, they have a cool whip type of ingredient on top that I found to be too sweet. My grandma always topped her's with a meringue. Also, the sweet tea was pretty disappointing as it wasn't sweet enough. When I think of sweet tea I think of my grandma's and well that'll put you in a diabetic coma! I wish they served corn bread and fried okra too! Finally, the staff was friendly and my wait wasn't too long. All & all I thoroughly enjoyed my experience will be back!!

Placed an order for deliver at 8:10pm. Was called by the delivery service and told no gravy. I said I would still have the mashed potatoes. The mashed potatoes were watery and flavorless (I always get them and love them usually). I called the store directly and complained and asked about the gravy. I was told that they were not making another batch of gravy because it was too much and they would have to throw it out at the end of the night. I ordered at 8:10pm and they do not close until 10pm. I told them the potatoes were watery and they said they knew and because there was no gravy they were just using those potatoes they did not figure they would sell mashed potatoes since there was no gravy so they did not make any more. They told me to let them sit a while and they would stiffen up. They did send a side of mac and cheese but it was flavorless. I asked on my delivery form for an additional hot bbq sauce and original since you can only select one of each on the menu. They did not arrive and the delivery person had to come back with those. When he did they were in small containers. We ordered a mixed plate for one and the pork dinner for 4. In the past the original sauce always came in a larger container. Very disappointing experience this time.

This is the mothership, ground zero for two British brother's take on Kansas City 'que. Brother's BBQ started their mini empire here. It's a hole in the wall at the corner of Leetsdale & Monaco, in what must have been a service station in the past. Next door is a check cashing operation if you need an advance to cover your meal. Today, I ordered something different. Tried the hot links on a bun, with a side of slaw. The doesn't have that vinegar tang I prefer, so minus one subjective star. Hot links with a bit of their original sauce hit the spot. It was a soggy, sloppy mess, but delish! My usual is the beef brisket. Their dry smoke method, with bits of burnt ends can't be beat. The setting is early garage, with lot's auto, bike, etc. memorabilia on the walls & ceiling. Today's unexpected treat was a little amuse bouche, Brothers-style: a small side of their beans. Very tasty! Now this is my personal, uninformed opinion of their offering. I've tried Good's in Houston, and actually prefer this one.

I'm not a huge BBQ person but it's been a while since I had proper meat (you know, being a college student and all. The only thing we can afford at most is chicken). Unknowingly, I ordered a large plate (with 2 meats). Out of chicken, brisket, and pulled pork, I picked the latter two. It comes with a bun and 2 sides, which I picked the beans and mashed potatoes. I actually didn't want either of those but I had to pick different sides from my friend. The plate was a little over $10. Sandwiches seemed to be a little under that ($8 and up) while more fanciful plates were over $10. The large plate is pretty damn large for a 5'2", 107lb girl (uhh...107 BEFORE all this Yelping of restaurants within two months). I couldn't finish it and was full (to not-hungry) for the rest of the day. It doesn't come with BBQ sauce on it, so you add the type of sauce you want (which is at your table). Choices are original, tangy vinegar, sweet, and hot. The best was original or sweet. Hot wasn't hot enough for me and tangy was waaaay too tangy. The gravy on the mashed potatoes was really good. The beans were too tangy for me. My friend hated his cole slaw and his mac and cheese was "aiite." Everyone on Yelp was saying how good their sweet tea was. And good it was. Disappointed that they didn't have corn bread. Their selection of sides weren't too great in my opinion..nor did they taste that great. I guess prices are pretty low considering that it's BBQ. But I'm telling you, that plate was way too big for me, so I've had enough BBQ for the rest of the year (maybe that's a lie). I'm done with Brothers. But maybe BBQ-lovers would like this place as their broke-but-in-need-of-meat spot.

It's worth walking inside Brother's just to smell the place. It smells so good inside; this euphoric aroma of smoked meats and good (i'm guessing) hickory and maybe apple woods. It's enough to make a vegan's mouth water. Anything they throw in that smoker of theirs is on point, smoky and delicious. My favorites, in order are: 1. Pork Ribs (baby backs!) 2A. Brisket 2B. Hot Links 3A. Pulled Pork Butt 3B. BBQ Chicken They have good sides, too. The fries taste really really good for some reason, and they're just frozen french fries with salt in them. It's gotta be their oil or something... The beans are good, really really good. And they go well with the fries. I like the cole slaw, the potato salad, I haven't tried the mac and cheese yet, but i will soon. Definitely try the beans though. I love the sweet tea here, and I drink a lot of it. They also have a good banana cream pie. I like sweets, what can I say?

NO MAC AND CHEESE! So the bf and I came here on Thursday ($1 ribs) but the bf is easily swindled so he got the pork ribs which had more meat for $1.50. It tasted like propane to me but the bf says it's wood chips soaked in some kind of liquid. Either way, not good. The beans, fries and mash potatoes were pretty good. The potato salad tasted like it came from a jug. Overall, I don't think Colorado will ever be known for their bbq.

These guys came over from England to learn about the art of barbecue. They trained in KC, then decided to open up shop in Denver about a decade ago. As a Kansas City girl, I'm a barbecue snob, I'll admit it. Five stars would have happened if there'd been burnt ends on the menu. However, finding burnt ends outside KC is probably wishful thinking. Give me a moment while I weep softly in the corner. Right then. I had the brisket sandwich with fries. I slapped some of their original sauce on everything and was pretty impressed. Not only was the meat tender, but the sauce was tangy, the bun was good, and the fries were spectacular. My husband tried the pork with sweet mustard and liked it, but I don't think he's going to necessarily shoot for the mustard again in the future. We went in the late afternoon on a weekday and there weren't more than five or six guys in there (it kind of had the same vibe as Oklahoma Joe's, if you happen to be from KC). However, parking was a nightmare. That lot is a joke. I was ready to pull out and skip the whole thing until some jackass thoroughly pissed me off, but was kind enough to leave a spot available. Oh yeah! I almost forgot because I got too wound up about the parking situation! There were a few staples missing from the restaurant itself, namely toothpicks, wet wipes, and mints. These things are key. They're tools of the trade. Next time I go, I intend to bring my own and hand them out as gifts.

Yes, my friend, yes to the bbq! Melt in your mouth goodness. Wanna drag the summer out for one more month, who's your daddy bbq~ That's what I'm talking about. Good meat, good sauce, almost deviant. Love my sauce - the tangy vinegar was f'n awesome. Everyone had been telling me about this bbq for years and today t was verifiable. ummmhmmm

Just finished my first meal at brothers bbq and boy, am I full and satIsfied. I had the pork ribs and beef brisk with a roll. Two sides and a drink...plus the banana pudding. All for about 18 bucks. Not cheap...but the food was quality. 5 different choices of bbq is great...I liked a combo of the hot and the original. Service was fast. Pudding was just like mom makes...complete with instant pudding and nilla wafers. And the portion was plentiful. The only negative for me is the ambience or lack of it. Now, I am not expecting fine china or tablebloths but a lack of flies in November would be nice. And the hard metal folding chairs are really hurting my rear as I type this. Seriously. Take the food to go.

Eeeek! Sorry, I'm a Kansas City girl who is used to getting great BBQ and I just figured this place would have to be good because I'd heard about, knew there were several locations so I was excited to try it. Honestly I think it was some of the lousiest BBQ I've ever eaten. We even got one of the big sampler platters for carry out, so I was able to try 5 different meats and we ordered a few sides. On the way home I snacked on a few of the fries and thought "hmm, these really aren't great, but oh well, they're just fries". We had people over so I unloaded all of the food and we filled our plates and ate. The ribs were so full of fat, and so little meat I was really disappointed, the other meats were average at best. The sides were horrendous. I've never had BBQ beans like that, they were awful! Needless to say we had quite a bit of leftovers, our guests were probably too kind to say they weren't loving it, but no one wanted to take home the leftovers----and I sure didn't want them. A little after midnight I started feeling miserable and was up a lot of the night feeling really nauseous. My husband felt sick the following day. Let's just say this was a miserable experience and there's no way they're getting a second chance. UGH!

Ok so I tried this place out wanting to try all the BBQ places here in Denver. So first off the location sucks big time with like 6 parking spots. So on to the food I got it for takeout and it was pretty good. The beef ribs are ok I like my ribs with more meat on there. Also got the two sides of mac and cheese which was good and the potato salad was good as well. Now my highlight was the hot link sandwich which was amazing. Like wow I love this sandwich so delicious. Will I come back here ya sure for the hot link sandwich and maybe try some of the other meats they have there

All of their meat is pretty tasty but what sets them apart in my eyes is the hot link sandwich with onions and pickles. They have 4 different sauces. I like the regular one that comes on everything but it has a lot of celery seed in the sauce and it can be a bit overwhelming after a while. I went there last night because I really wanted some of their banana pudding and they were out!. I can't hold that against them though.

I really liked the barbecue here, it was not too expensive and although it takes a little while for them to get your food ready, you know it will be good when they take so much care. I like the variety of barbecue sauces as well.

I ordered a sampling of a few different meats and sauces and it was some of the best bbq that I've ever had.

I have been searching for barbecue like this for half my life: meat that virtually falls apart, is bursting with flavor even before you put the sauce on it, doesn't cost an arm and a leg, and close to home or work. I found it today at the corner of Monaco and Leetsdale (thanks Sherri S!). And to think, I've been working two blocks away for almost half a year and didn't know about this place. I feel like Dorothy in the land of Oz ... this whole time I could have clicked my heels three times and walked my ass over to Brothers for some serious barbecue! The first thing that came to mind when I saw my two-meats plate at Brothers BBQ was "beautiful, this is just beautiful." Perfectly cooked beef brisket and very nice hot links. The cole slaw side is worth it, as are the baked beans. The hot links could have been improved with just a little searing, but otherwise they were quite enjoyable. You get your choice of sauces at this, the original location. Hot, Sweet, Original, Tart, and one or two others I don't remember. I was going to try all of them, but I pretty much stopped at Original; there was no need to go any further. I also want to point out that you can order "just one rib." Thank you Chris Rock. I'm already jonesing for meat as I write this, so I think I know where I'll be eating lunch tomorrow. They have parking but the spaces are a little tight. It's also nearly impossible to make a left turn out of there any time close to rush hour (I don't know how Sherri did it). The layout is a tad crazy, soda machine and utensils tucked in the corner right by the counter; it feels crowded there but spare once you sit at a table. Don't go for the ambiance, anyway, just the awesome barbecue.

If you are into your barbecue and have had real bbq from KC, Memphis, Texas, etc. this is nothing special. I would say their sauce is less than average with nothing too special and their brisket is certainly nothing to talk about. Put it this way, I'll eat the meat because it tries really hard to be barbecue and I bring my own sauce to at least help me give it some semblance of real bbq. Its not bad considering we're in Denver I guess.

Did someone say mash potatoes and gravy? Yes! I did and they're amazing. I know what you're saying, I don't like mash potatoes with my BBQ... Well that's fine, they'll skip the mashing, slice them into wedges, fry them and voila you have the most incredible french fries of your life! If you're still not satisfied don't fret, they have other scrumptious sides like award winning beans! In case you didn't notice, I said sides, I haven't even begun to talk about the main dish!!! If you're feeling a little barbaric I would recommend a healthy does of 6 to 12 ribs with their sweet sauce... Mmmmmm..... Not your style, perhaps you're wearing a suite, feeling.... civilized.... that's cool too, order a hot link or pulled pork sandwich and throw some brothers original sauce on it! "Sweet Jesus! That's amazing" will probably be your response as you throw up your arms in a euphoric dance. Be careful! You don't want to spill the original sauce on your nice suite, or else you'll be the crazy guy in the corner chewing on your tie and in this economy you just can't afford that! Perhaps you're still sitting at you computer, drooling, but not yet sold. Well then, perhaps I should tell you about the friendly service and environment you will experience as you grab a chair and gormandize whatever you order. You'll feel so much better knowing that you supported a local business and not McDonald's, trust me! I mean why would you want a McRib when you could have a real one, or better yet 6 of em'... On a side note, their Dr. Pepper never taste right so I would stick to their Pepsi or better yet the Strawberry soda! Trust me the label doesn't do it justice... Be careful, it's a small little joint so you'll have to look closely or you may just miss it.

My fiancés father is moving back from Ecuador and hasn't had BBQ in over a year. We are all originally from Texas and were looking for a good BBQ place in Denver since we haven't been here long. I have mixed emotions about this place. The location is horrible and the parking lot is ridiculous!!! Very dangerous getting in and out of. It's super steep and very small. No room for error here. Inside the building it was very hot. They apparently don't cook the brisket ahead of time because it took a long time to get the food and we were the first people in line. I felt bad for the 6 people behind us. In Texas they smoke it all day or night usually so it's ready to go when ordered. It shouldn't take more than a few min to bag it up. When I asked for the sauce on the side they seemed like they've never heard of that before and say once they put it on the grill without sauce it dries it out. I was confused why it would be going on the grill if it's already cooked but we took our chances because we don't like a ton of sauce. Luckily it wasn't overly dry or moist really. It just.....was. Second of all they're very expensive!!! 65.00 for 3 lbs of brisket (they only offer chopped not sliced), 8 slices of sausage (not pieces or links, literally 8 small slices which is supposed to be two orders I guess since that's what I asked for at $3 each) and 1 small French fry order. That didn't include buns either. Those are extra which is ludicrous. Absolutely ridiculous. For that much money I expected the food to be insanely delicious. It was very mediocre at best. We got it to go and once we got home it was still warm. That was a bonus. I would've probably given it more stars but the customer service wasn't that great either. I doubt we will be back. Not enough pros to outweigh the cons.

Got the pulled pork sandwich, coleslaw and beef tips - the food was really good. It did not disappoint. This location is small and parking is not great - but you can't take away from the good. Would definitely go again!

Interesting mix of reviews here - on my first visit today, I just experienced some of the tastiest, most amazingly tender, authentic BBQ I've had in over a decade. I know BBQ, my family is from the south and they roasted pigs themselves on their farms, in pits and on spits. They made homemade sauces, usually vinegar based and with serious heat. I love BBQ and I've eaten it all over the USA, every corner, looking for the best. This is in the top 3 nationwide in my experience. I had the Burnt Ends $9.99 full serving with baked beans and it was the texture of melt in your mouth filet mignon (seriously..) with a flavor that is out of this world. Fantastic beans. I will be coming here regularly the rest of my life. Only soda to drink sadly, no beer etc. If you are iffy about this place, please try the Burnt Ends. If you don't love them contact me and I'll revise my review here. And eat my words (using their sauce!). My wife had the pulled pork sandwich and said it was good, not fantastic, but we agreed all their 5 sauces are very good. I bought a jar of the vinegar based $6, heck of a deal. Potato salad good, cole slaw good (neither were too mayonnaisy) but the baked beans are AMAZING, more like a chili really and just delicious. We were the only patrons midafternoon on a Monday and service was friendly and terrific. NFL on the TV. So I don't know a lot about service, wait times, noise etc. This location is on a weird little island surrounded by busy streets, but that should help filter out some boneheads. Fine by me, if you can't drive stay home. Not a lot of parking, and it's a pretty small place but super clean and tidy. I imagine when it's busy it could be a tough go, I'll avoid those times. Or try some other of the 5 locations.

To start, the food was ok. The ribs were good, if a bit dry. The chicken was also a little dry, but nice. The beans tasted like black pepper mostly. The fries were pretty good. The reasons I gave such a low rating have to do with the service. The service is also the reason we will never go back. I called at 5:12pm to order 3 take-out meals: pork ribs and chicken combo and two beef rib meals. Two of us REALLY wanted beef ribs. The gal said the beef ribs wouldn't be ready for 2 hours. Sigh. Ok, we'll all have the pork ribs. I arrived to pick up the food and the parking lot is NUTS...bring along someone who can run in and pick up the food as the lot is tiny and steep and was full (even though we only saw two tables of people in the dining room. Got our food and ran because we double parked. Got home and we're missing a side. I hate that. I called the store to let them know that about the missing mac-n-cheese and the girl said I could come back and pick it up. No, I don't want to do that. Then she said she could take my name and give me a free one next time in addition to the one she owed me. Fine. Whatever. No one is going to remember this, if she really did write down my name, but I'm also not going back out for 4 tablespoons of mac-n-cheese (which cost me 2.49) Then I asked if it was normal for them to not have beef ribs at dinner time. She said, "What? We're not out of beef ribs. We're out of pork ribs." We were EATING pork ribs that we just picked up but didn't really want, so now I'm really confused and frustrated. Anyway, that's it. The food was ok, but the experience was not.

I went once. They have *damn* awesome fries, but I disagree with people who rave about their sauces, and their "slider" combo is like getting four vanilla Oreos filled with pepperoni instead of frosting (not my idea of a meal). 2 STARS

Best sauces and sides of any bbq joint I've tried in Denver. The pulled pork and beef brisket were great too. The dining area was pretty small but it didn't seem at all awkward because the staff were so friendly and helpful. I'm from kc and it made my day to see the Gate's bbq platter on the wall and talk to them about their visits to the great kc bbq joints. I will definitely return when I get a craving for authentic bbq made with care.

I love BBQ and give credit when due but firstly over priced.... you get fries that are bland and over cooked.... Macaroni & cheese that is rubbish and you could do better at home.... And a dry roll on the side. Don't waste your time there's a lot better out there.
