Came here for the broncos game. They decided that was the best time to have one oserver working so I sat and waited for over 30 minutes to order food. They have great Thursday night drink deals, but game night is not their forté. 25 cent wing night on Wednesdays but they run out pretty quick so come early. I have never had an issue until now, but I guess that comes with never trying to seriously order food until now. They also have a dress code for some reason so don't rock a tank out when the weather calls for it. Use to be the real world denver house so they have that going for them. Let's also mention one of the servers was too busy making out with some dude sitting at the bar. Must be why it takes so long.

Rude staff. Crap food. Downright weird dress code.

Came in here for the wonderfully boring Mayweather-Pacquio fight. The only thing more mind numbing than that skull deadening "sporting event" was the lack of customer service here. When people are paying that sum of money you should probably know you can make a lot of booze sales if you talk more to the customer than your fellow bartenders. It was annoying. They layout is okay. Nothing to write home about but it's wide open. Stopped in a couple nights ago and the ace was pretty dead. So we perched at the bar and literally sat there for 5 minutes before the duo of conversationalists decided to see if we needed a drink. Not impressed. No smiles :) but they knew how to pour a beer so it worked for a one-and-done. I'm too nice not to generously tip but if I weren't they wouldn't have gotten one...does that make sense?! Too many bars in the area to go somewhere with mediocre service.

This the place is the worst. The bouncers are terrible and the people who frequent this spot are even worse. Would give it less than one star if possible. Bouncer Sam does a great job of setting the tone and only letting the best of the best in this place. Hats off to Sam.

DO NOT GO HERE!! There are several bars in LoDo that won't let me in because I have visible tattoos (which is disgusting and outrageous, not to mention discriminatory) my girlfriend and I went to Brothers and sat at the bar with no opposition at 5pm on a Wednesday. The bartender actively ignored is until she got the bouncers attention at which time he told me "you'll have to leave we don't serve people with neck tattoos" I demanded to see the manager to which he said the same thing. And then patronized us by saying we could stay for A drink if we wanted. I can't believe that in 2015 I can't get served because I have tattoos. If you are thinking of going here walk a block in any direction and I guarantee you will find a better and less discriminatory bar.

Hi there! I live in Stapleton and have 4 kiddos. I admit that I was lured in yesterday by kids eat free Monday and Tuesday. I thought, why not try it? Other new restaurants have opened in and near Stapleton that are amazing, such as Four Friends Kitchen. This is NOT one of those. The food was terrible. I ordered Fish and Chips. Usually a decent bar / grill staple. It was just not good. The fish had a strange, metallic taste and was not completely cooked in the middle. The kids meals were so small that the kids (including the smallest 5 year old) complained that there was not enough. When I tried to get my least picky eater to try some of my fish, she did so but put it back. My oldest ordered a chicken parm sandwich (which I paid for), which she said was just plain and not good. I would definitely NEVER go back there to eat. There are not many great options in Stapleton but this was definitely the worst food experience I've had here. The only redeeming factors are that I didn't actually pay for the kids meals. If I did, I would say they are worth about $3 each. The outside patio area is charming and the firepit looks cozy. The waitress that we had was very nice and I can't blame her if the food was bad. The only way I would ever return is if I wanted to have a drink only and sit outside OR if they totally changed their menu. Two thumbs down.

The real Brother's Bar or My Brother's Bar is not this one. My Brother's Bar is the oldest bar in Denver and is the best. So if you want to go to a good bar, don't go to this place and choose My Brother's Bar instead. It is on Platte and 15th.

Recently I was not allowed to enter because of a small gold necklace I had under my Rockies jersey. This is a decent spot to go to before a Rockies game but beyond that, I couldn't really advise going here. It's not worth fighting to get through the Nazis at the front door.

  • Blake G.

Stopped here because the cheese curds looked good on the menu. They were pretty good but a bit salty. But $8.50 for a small handful of cheese curds is pretty outrageous. If you're gonna charge that much at least give a full basket!

WORST bar in LODO Denver...dirty, racist, and horrible food. Filled with overly-sensitive staff who provide horrible service. The guy checking IDs at the door is a joke! He looks like he crawled out of a sewer and has the worst attitude of any bouncer I've seen. The rumors about not being allowed in for wearing a necklace are true...even if you're wearing a dress shirt and its a small cross tucked underneath. My friend from Chicago was almost denied at the door by this greasy haired troll. We should've know it would only get worse. Went there yesterday after a Broncos preseason game and after waiting at the bar for 15 minutes..the bartender refused to take my order and said no jerseys allowed and demanded I take off my shirt!? Half the people there were wearing jerseys...since a preseason football game had just ended. To be clear, the shirt I was wearing was a red/white/blue button-up short sleeve with a Bulls logo on the side, no numbers or players names anywhere...not a jersey at all. The bartender said, "I'm sure they told you to take it off at the front door". When I explained that I was let in with no problem he called security and had me escorted out of the bar. Let's just say I'm not white and I'm 100% sure they regularly discriminate at this place. Don't ever go there! Brothers was one of many bars we went to last night and was horrible in every aspect. Go to ANY other bar near Coors field to have a good time.

Honestly the first time going was pretty fun and we all had a great time. The next few times we stopped in were not very lively or fun. The music was not very good and the people around were not having as much fun either. Kind of a boring experience when no one else is lively, hope things turn around.

Pretty sure I stumbled in here for a drink on a Saturday night, which I don't recall too much, but I KNOW I was back the next day for food. We sat at the bar which was a great choice for a game-day-Sunday. The place was packed and full of sports people. Our server seemed kinda crabby but he stayed on top of keeping us happy. My hope is that he was just having a rough day. Had some of the loaded cheese fries and the stuffed BBQ burger... SO good. Finger licking good! I'd definitely be back to this place for the food.

Love this place. Want cheap drinks in Denver? This is the place to go. Plus happy hour goes till 8pm mon-fri! Expensive drinks on fri and sat night but usually not the place to go then (depending on your age). A great bar to go during the day and before the younger night crawlers come.

Since writing this post I have received several notes telling me that this is a barback and then calling me a dumbass, dipshit and others. In addition to bad service at brothers, apparently the employees are just as lovely on the Internet. Also, if he's a barback, why was he serving beers to the guys at the counter?

I'm sorry I walked into this place. Worst service and food I have had in a long time. We had stopped in for lunch, only about 5 other tables in the whole place. Nothing hospitable about our service the entire time we were there. Felt like we upset her for just walking in the door. The menu looked good, too bad the food itself wasn't. I got a basic bacon cheese burger. The burger was dry and the bacon was so tough I thought I was going to chip a tooth. My sister ordered her burger medium rare, it came out well done. There are a lot of options in Denver Don't choose Brothers Bar as one of them

I liked the inside of this place. Warm and cozy, the venue was adorable and good food drinking. They also have a large list of shot, margarita's and beers. The servers was also nice, the place has a tight security so that customers wont bother other customers. Which is really nice. Nice bar, would come back again.

I'm hammered sitting by a fire. Shits nuts, bartenders were quick to serve, fellow customers are friendly and prepared. Overall good nightlife atmosphere

I have been going to this bar for the past 5 years during football season for the cheap shots during half time until now. The newly hired 21 year old at the front door tried pulling a power trip and tells me my shorts are too baggy! My what are what? I'm sorry, I am a big guy and I do not wear skin tight clothing! I pull my jersey up telling him that's how these shorts are made, talk to the manufacturer! They were around my waist with a belt because I do not think sagging is a fashion style. I "used" to bring in 10-20 people that would all have 2-3 shots in the 15 minutes for half time. Wish I could take stars away from the people that think this is the greatest place in the world!! They wonder why there are fights there all the time and it's because it starts at the door with smart mouth punks!!!

Good bar with good food. The place is huge with a large wrap around bar so there are usually plenty of seats available. They also have a large patio area, plenty of TV's and all the usual things you'd expect to find at a bar. What really stands out here is the food. I've been really disappointed with the food in Denver, but everything I've had at Brothers has been really good. That's probably because this is a chain that originated in the midwest (Wisconsin) where the food is always good. Oh how I miss the food in Chicagoland! but I digress... Brothers also has a good selection of beer along with nightly drink/food specials. One word of warning, they will card you when you walk in the door so don't bother stopping in without your ID. All in all, this is a great place for food and drink! Taking my original review down a couple notches. The last few visits have just been meh. I ordered a round of Patron shots the other night for $8 each $40 total and they were the smallest shots I've ever seen. Being a glutton for punishment, I stopped in again tonight and ordered the lime chicken. It tasted pretty good, but that had to be the smallest chicken breast I've ever encountered. Tough too. Think it's time to explore new horizons...

If I could give this place no stars, I would. Came in to meet up with some friends before a Rockies game. My husband and I kept trying to flag down the bartender, even though we were the only people sitting at the bar. We could tell they had just gotten slammed, so we tried not to be impatient. Once the bartender came, she didn't even ask us if we wanted anything. She just stood in front of us with her book out and wrote down our beer orders. She didn't ask if we wanted food or anything, slid the beers down to us, then went to the other end of the bar and sat on her phone. We asked for a manager and got even more rude service. We didn't say anything, just paid for our beers (we were there for about an hour and a half for one beer.. Pretty sad) and left. Won't be back and haven't been back. Plenty of other bars to spend your money at around here!

  • Jaime P.

I've been here before and had a great time. Now things have changed and my experience was not so pleasant. Got there at 7. And by 10 they said I had to leave because their policy says that my shorts are to baggy. After stating I was in there from 7 spending money. They said "can't break" policy. I mention to them why didn't they say anything about my shorts before I came in. The manager replied "I don't know". I said to him, before I came in they told me rudely that I couldn't wear a chain and I complied with that ridiculous request. Also, I brought to his attention that a girl right across the bar had 3 chains. Why can't she follow policy? He replied "when I see it, I tell them". I can't see myself coming back to this place. Rude manager and no communication with security about policy. That's why I'm giving them a one star rating. I wish I could give them a no star review.

I'm not sure it even deserves one star. We had to wait 10 minutes to be seated even though there were numerous empty tables. Service was slow and inattentive. Food was mediocre at best.

    (1)
  • Matthew S.

I looked at a lot of the reviews before we came in. The service many people had problems with did not occur during my experience. The service was fast and friendly. The food is ok. It's not good and it's not bad. Overall, not a terrible experience, but nothing special.

Had a great experience at this awesome chill vibed bar. Kayla must have googled how to provide Customer Service before getting to our table because she did just that.

They suck with customer service!! Although they have great drink specials!! Just good for a good night to get drunk!! Don't order food because you'll be disappointed!!! BTW they lost my effing Credit Card!!! Wow!!!

I have never been more disrespected in my entire life. I made a quick joke about the security shirts being red and branded "staff" across the board and I was more than misinterpreted, I was kicked out. I'm a veteran and a person that abides by rules and I couldn't believe what I saw. My friend surpassed the security and when the person manning the door found out she was associated with me he grabbed her by the side and face and pushed her out the door. The "Denver B Squad" came to her rescue and vouched for someone who mishandled a long time patriot of brothers. Congrats Denver for being a piece of shit- and even more pathetic for supporting minimum wage workers that have less than ambition to being a contribution to society. If I had that Brothers Security Officers name I would be way more than willing to let the public know who they are dealing with.

They have Totally Revamped the Menu. More options for Vegetarians. They added more burgers. And Wraps are on the menu now. The Desserts are gone, though they only had 3 but the Cheesecake was delicious and so was the cookie. They still have the drink options and Cant go wrong with All Day Happy Hour. This is why its my go to bar. Good Food Even Better now that they have Stuffed burgers. The Cheese Curds for you Midwest Transplants are still there. The Burgers are tasty and not over done. The Cheesefries with the jalapenos and Ranch. Yum. The Chicken Fingers in BBQ sauce with Ranch. Yum As well. The Staff are still friendly as ever. Yes its a Chain but when they know you, they really make you feel welcome. Never a Bad Experience in here. As For Beer. Must Try the Kona Porter with its hints of Coffee. And all the different flavors of Long Island Iced Teas. And the Bazooka Joe Shot.

Decent food and a good place to wait out a rain-delayed Rockies game. Happy hour specials were great and the selection of beer on tap was fantastic.

Stopped in for a quick beer and app while visiting friends in town for the weekend. The patio area was perfect on a sunny Saturday like we had. We each had a beer and shared the pretzel stick appetizer, the beer cheese was just ok but the horseradish mustard was sooooo good!

I usually come to Brothers on a Friday or Saturday night with friends for it's great atmosphere. Seriously one of my favorite bars in LoDo. Anytime my friends and I want to have a good time... We end up here. However, this time I came with one of my best girlfriends for Sunday Funday, and once again, Brothers didn't disappoint. The food was whatever...but you can't go to a bar expecting a 5 star meal. We really only ordered munchies, because the real reason we were there was for their Sunday all-day happy hour! One of the best deals in downtown Denver for sure! Half off ALL drinks! My friend was drinking $2 bottles of Michelob, and I had $3 tall white rascals. What a perfect place to enjoy a lazy, carefree Sunday! I will definitely be back!

    (4)
  • Geoffry L.

Unoriginal Bar featuring fried food, beer and watery drinks accompanied by disinterested grumpy bar and wait staff. This is the worst of the LoDo Market St bars, which is saying a lot, because the LoDo Tavern is horrendous. I work on the same street so my review comes from lunch activities and happy hour, not night life. The one high point is the 1/2 price happy hour 4-6pm.

My girlfriend and I love this bar to watch our beloved Broncos! Many friends have joined us on our weekly venture to this hotspot and loved it all. Great deals and great food and great atmosphere. We will keep coming for as long as they stay open

Great neighborhood bar with decent burgers. This is the place to sit down to the bar and make a friend. Nice mix of regulars and new faces and everyone is friendly. The bartenders know the regulars. I've only had burgers here which were okay.

  • Mikey H.

Wow this is the next contestant for Bar Rescue to turn into something decent. I guess the 'We tricked you into coming here once and we better get as much out of you since you will never return. After the mediocre service and the beer that was warmer than our food when it was finally cooked the way I had ordered it in the first place I was exhausted with trying to enjoy myself. Maybe the dress code code be amended to disallow over served socially and mentally stunted creeps that help the place feel like it has a roofie dispenser in the bathroom. Beware this place is sketchy and the food tastes like it is from a hospital cafeteria.

This is the new FSU bar. I have been here a few times and it has been hit or miss. Late night it can get packed with the Lodo crowd and is pretty spacious. During the day though, for sports watching I believe they should consider adding tables as they run out of seating fast. They have a decent kitchen, but need to optimize the seating to accommodate sports fan big screen watchers. Dave

  • Steve S.

There are good sports bars, with creative bar food, cold beer and a classy atmosphere. Then, there is this place filled with the trashiest college students and other clientele looking to relive the "glory" that was the former Real World house. In fact, just picture that show and it's grim reflection on the 20's experience and you'll get the idea of what it would be like to drink a beer and watch a game here. For starters, the menu choices are just awful. Standard bar fare, but someone they take on a "was rejected from the Applebee's menu" flair. Buffalo Wild Wings, unfortunately, would be a step up. The bartenders are nice and provide great service, which is the only reason Brothers doesn't get a one-star ranking. The beers are served at a London temperature, which is not all that appetizing. One step up from strip club, Brothers wouldn't be my ideal place for a Sunday night football game. Try a neighborhood bar or perhaps a trash can. Both would give you far better experiences.

Great location, plenty of space and a nice selection of drinks and food. Servers at the bar were friendly and quick. No complaints here! Mallory our server was awesome!! Great bloody Mary's.

  • Brittany N.

If I could give this place less stars I would. Our bartender wasn't friendly and didn't know what the specials were. He just seemed annoyed with anything we wanted. When we asked for food recommendations he didn't know because he doesn't eat there since it's not healthy. After eating the cheese curds and some of a quesadilla I started feeling a bit ill. I went to the bathroom with a friend and a female staff came into the bathroom and stood outside of it until we were finished. Then said, 'the longer you stay the harder this is going to be'. The bathrooms were foul and at that moment, we closed our tabs and left. Rude all the way around except for one bar back- who was pretty nice. Other than that, the service here sucks and we will not be returning.

  • Duane M.

Stopped here before a Rockies game and wound up staying the afternoon. The French Dip was good and the happy hour beers kept us there for the game. As we did not have tickets, it was not such a bad thing. Charlie behind the bar was a little stand-offish towards me but was great to my friends. Friendly enough to make a return trip.

    (3)
  • Frann B.

I'm here now and our server was rude. I asked if i could put a order in and she told me rudely to wait. Then I saw her do it to another couple. I'm normally a happy person, but she pissed me off! I would never come back and I'm starving! Oh well. She's a Blonde?! Customers were nice and offered food!

Weird place. We were sitting at the bar (5 people) and around 10 or 10:30pm they told us we have to move because they put the bar stools away to make room for more people...there were not many people there and this was at THE BAR. They stood over us until we stood up, and of course at that point I moved my butt out the door. Why??? Also no veggie options on the menu which should be expected I guess oh and it was really hard to get another beer even though there were 3 bartenders and about 10 people at the bar. You guys suck.

My husband and I came in for lunch before a baseball game and we had the most pleasant experience with our waiter, Josh. He and my husband both served in the military, and Josh was very friendly towards the both of us as my husband chatted him up about deployment. We told josh we were heading to the game and he was quick to bring us our bill and run our credit card when we were ready to go! I recommend asking for Josh if you happen to be in the neighborhood!

By far the worst service I've ever had in Denver. Horrible horrible HORRIBLE service. Did I say horrible service? Do not come here. EVER. JESUS CHRIST! We've been here for more than 30 minutes, had waitresses pass by, asked if we could order and not even a GLIMPSE of our presence. We had to walk up just to get a cheap ass Miller High Life! We used to come over and there was a simple window where you could order some delicious wings and have a fun time with friends. Now there's dumb bitch waitresses that cannot even acknowledge our presence with a little smile. Doesn't matter what those .25 cents spicy garlic wings taste like. OVER IT!

  • Cory N.

Great atmosphere, average food, drink & service. Great for UFC fights, fairly easy to find seating. Gator balls are their distinguishing app (fried chicken ball wrapped in bacon). The beer pours ok, the food is regular bar fare. Has a pool table inside and an outdoor patio as you walk through their 'garage doors', where a nice fire pit awaits you. Also, it's on Market, so in easy striking distance to other bars. All in all, a fun place to chill with great location/atmosphere and average everything else.

  • Jeff P.

Nice atmosphere. Do NOT order the burger. We had three at our table and they each came out at charred, well-done burgers. Poor food prep.

  • Kelly N.

We came here last night as a group of 8. We had a waitress take our drink orders and then food orders. Once the food came out, our waitress gave us all our tabs (which we did not ask for because we had no intentions of leaving at this point) this made us feel like she was pushing us out. Once we ate, our waitress was NOWHERE to be found. I went up to the bar not once, not twice, but three times to ask what had happened to our service and every time I was told "I'll tell your waitress to come over" but she never came back and no one took her place. Everyone in out group was beyond frustrated with the shitty service here that we are no longer going to be meeting here. Very disappointing place. Even the 'manager' is a douche.

I wouldn't stop here for a night of partying because I fear that there would be too many Affliction shirts in this place but it's perfect for happy hour! We stopped by here on the way to Coors Field and just about everything was half off during their four hour long happy hour! We found a seat at the bar, enjoyed our beers and $6 later, walked out, you can't really complain about that!

This is where I started my St. Patrick's Day bar crawl and what a great place to begin. Had a Guinness stout and ordered chicken strips. The atmosphere was great and absolutely loved the back patio. Server was attentive and friendly. Our chicken was really dry which was the only downside. Received a free t-shirt in honor of the holiday which was very cool! I would recommend this place to meet friends for drinks by the fire pit outback.

Walk in, look at the crowd, pay for a drink and then leave. Not a good crowd the night I dropped in for a quick drink. I needed a pick me up so I ordered a rebull/vodka and got a Go Fast/Rockstar or something else with vodka. I asked if it was redbull after I tasted it and he was on the verge of saying yes (when I stared at him) and he migrated to no with a look of defeat. I handed it back to him and he apologized. No big deal just give me a heads before charging me the same price for something else. They didn't get one star for the drink comment, service was not too good the last time I was in, the bouncers seemed aggressive-probably as a a result of downtown. Overall, they could improve.

Ah, so I see this restaurant already has less than 2 stars, let's get 'em down to 1, shall we people!? What an idiotic way to run a company ~ these people make me sick. A quality restaurant / bar should be based on their outstanding food, drinks, service & atmosphere. Judging by what I've seen & heard, this establishment fails in all 4 areas. A few months ago I was in Denver for business. A coworker & myself went there for drinks. The bartender was rude and the overall atmosphere of the place was just boring. At the time, I didn't think much of it, and just figured it was your usual stick-in-the-mud restaurant with strangely (and unreasonably) entitled servers. The drinks tasted fine, but it really seemed as though every server was snobby and looking down their noses at people. We heard a scuffle at the door when people were asking to be seated, then they were turned away. At the time, I figured it was just a personal dispute. Well, NOW I know better ~ those refused admittance were probably inked. Seriously, turning away business is like shooting yourself in the foot. Millions of people have tattoos. Do you really want to be branded as back-woods, closed minded morons, stuck in the 1930's where the thought of a tattoo was ghastly! Good god, catch up with the 21st century! This place needs new owners who aren't a bunch of old fuddy-duddies!

  • Leigh O.

so a dude walks into a bar. eats breakfast, enjoys his meal then leaves. enjoys his meal so much that he thinks he will come back later for dinner. except he's denied entry because he has a neck tattoo. wait what? someone is lieing here, because he was just there for breakfast! i read on the site that they reserve the right to refuse service to you based on appearance. do you guys send your staff to the Arcane School for Tattoo Definitions? Someone got denied service because he has a clover tattoo that your staff called a "gang sign". yeah, it is also a prison sign, i only know from watching National Geographic documentaries. but guess what? an entire culture wraps thier heritage around the 3 leaf clover and it has no negative conotations whatsoever. so you threw and entire nation of millions of people into the same pidgeon hole as a few criminals. get over yourselves. a bar and grill with a dress code sounds like an oxymoron.

  • Oaza S.

Feels like Jersey Shore in there, big lines to get in, at least no cover like LoDos. Drinks are ok, too weak for me, thats why i went with a beer. Too many drunk kids, and watch cuz you might get hit by accident like me. Cuz what they told me i choose bad spot to sit, I didnt know there are rules where you can sit! Bartenders will go first to the girls that shows more boobs, or guys that they already know. If you look for a place with a lot of drunk douchebags, and girls that puke in sinks thats the place for you. Surely I will not return.

  • Hailie S.

Great set up- but that's where it ended for us. We went for Saturday college football so it was super busy... Yet they we're allowing two people to save huge tables for the rest of their group that was "coming soon". I can't believe a busy bar allows this. The beer selection was average and the food was pretty bad. But the worst part of the experience was the young male bartender at the main bar who seemed bothered when asked to make a drink and had a sucker in his mouth the whole time. Just so unprofessional all around. He obviously doesn't realize tips are based on service. Idiot.

  • Sam B.

I wrote a review for this place last year, but Yelp thought it wasn't relevant and removed it, so I'll try again. I went there with some friends last year, and they had instituted a policy that refuses entry to people that have a tattoo showing above the neckline. A friend of mine had a small tattoo showing just above his shirt collar. He was stopped at the door by a bouncer wearing a short-sleeved shirt who had tattoos covering his arms (apparently arm tattoos are ok). So we had to leave. I think this review is relevant to anyone with a tattoo above their neckline that plans on trying this place because I recommend that they not waste their time. We haven't been back since.

They said half off all beers... I ordered a yeti... They poured it, I enjoyed it, then they charged me full price... "Oh everyone except that one" they said... Really lame

You were so damn delicious. I was on a road trip for break from San Diego CA and my friend and I stopped in. Best game of risk I ever played. The food was so flavorful. I can still feel the BBQ sauce lingering on my tongue. I wish you were much closer.

On July 4th, we dropped by here to get a couple drinks before hitting up the Rockies game. We sat down at the bar and was quickly introduced with a "Hey guys, what do you want?" I was almost expecting a "Hey Guys, how's it goin?" or anything of that nature. Instead, we received a half assed smiled from chronic bitch face bartender who quickly poured our drinks and pestered us to either order more or leave. Looked like everybody else was having a great time. We were not. I'm not sure we'll be back but if you run across two bartenders with curly long hair, stay away and go have a seat away from the bar!

There was a Brothers on the campus where I went to college...as with most Big 10 schools.. The folks that own Brothers were genius to open this place. The bar has your typical lodo crowd..love it or hate it. So of course it gets packed like the other places around here on the weekends. The good thing though is I have never been charged cover to get in. Its a pretty good sized one floor bar, with a really sweet patio area with fire pit. On crowded weekends I really havent had much of a problem getting drinks. The bartenders seem to be on top of things usually. During the week when sitting down they are decent too, sometimes a little slow but not bad. The best time to come here though is one wednesdays. They have 15 cent wings and $1.50 high lifes. This is the same special the brothers at Purdue had...I love it. The wings are better quality than what they were in college too so thats nice. They also have probably my favorite sauces out there too. It can get a little busy for it but the wait is totally worth if cause its so damn cheap and good!

Food was rather poor. French dip was bland with sweet onion soup as the au jus. Device was fine. This is NOT a Green Bay Packers bar

Why is this place so packed on Saturdays? It's by far the worse bar I've been to. Service sucks and the music was awful. Gangnam Style and What does the Fox say..really... That's when we knew it was time to go to Viewhouse.

I came to this place for the Food Bank of the Rockies and I'll never come back. I'd given this place zero stars but yelp won't allow it. So if anything the star is for the atmosphere. Place looks great. BUT the service SUCKS!!!! Its HORRIBLE!!! & RIDICULOUS!!! We sat at the bar and got ignored. We moved to the outside and same shotty service. We were even loud about getting no service so they'd hear us and serve us but they didn't and when we finally got served their shitty attitudes didn't help. We even watched them ignore other people and heard everyone else complaining of the same. Soooo sad.

This place is bizarre. You would think they were Rao's in NYC, with the way they act. The service is poor and they act like you should feel lucky to be allowed inside, when they aren't even busy. The food is mediocre and there is NOTHING SPECIAL about this place for them to act like anyone is lucky to be allowed in here.

Yet another establishment that try's to be something their not . The food is your typical bar food so if your in to fried food and expensive drinks to prove your somebody have at it! I'll never go back because I like being in the establishment that's for us normal folk .

Shoulda known after one bad visit, another was bound to happen! This actually could be my problem, I wanted tasty food at a drunken downtown spot. Mind you I was there on a Monday at HH, so it was not busy... I asked for an order of 10 wings, 5 hot, 5 spicy garlic.... Sounds standard, right? NOPE. No splitting. Even though we are 1 of 4 tables in the whole place. OK fine. 10 spicy garlic please, The sacue had MAYO as an ingredient... If you are reading this and like (not even love) wings, you know this is not OK!!! I will be brief... I actually did not finish the wings. Who does that? What sports bar can't make good wings??? I think the business model is more concerned with Jager and vodka red bull... OK fine...

Bad food and the place has RATS!!! I got a burger that came with a soggy bun and the fries tasted like old potatoes soaked in Vaseline, and on the way to the bathroom I saw a RAT run from the hallway into the kitchen.

We were looking for an outside chilled bar to enjoy the sunny evening but everything was jammed packed so we ended up at Brothers and were pleasantly surprised. We sat in their lovely outdoor space and most tables were busy for a weeknight but not too full. I ordered the Philly steak sliders that were fantastic and a nice alternative to a burger and it came with kettle chips that were pretty good. My husband had boneless buffalo wings which were also OK and an order of fries. We ordered 20 oz craft beers which st 2.50-3 dollars each they were very nice. I would never go during their crowded weekends but for a chilled evening it is a great spot

The first time I walked into Brothers I realized I have been here before, even though I haven't. It is carbon copy of Brothers in Minneapolis, Brothers in Madison, Brothers in Milwaukee, etc. While I tend to like college bars (drinks sold cheap, girls dressed cheap), this one doesn't really fit the bill once you get past the decor. Getting a drink here can be an uncomfortable ordeal on the weekend. For whatever reason the prices at the main bar and the patio bar are completely different. The service seems slow and disinterested (maybe for good reason, the clientele didn't seem like good tipping type people), and it was always packed with d00ds. The sage who invented the sobriquet "Menver" must be a regular at this place. And the other reviewers comments about "fighting your way to the bar" should at some points be taken literally. One drunken fool actually wanted to fight me for a spot at the bar until I reminded him that he didn't have a chance. However, Brothers does have its charms - in warm weather the patio is very pretty, with some nice stonework. I am sure this bar may even be enjoyable during the day or on a weeknight.

I have only been here as part of a pub crawl (actually, make that three pub crawls) and I like it just fine. It has a pretty great layout - a huge bar that can be accessed from all sides, and a spacious patio with a separate bar that is never quite as busy. I can't think of a single thing that makes this place stand out, other than the fact that it used to be the home of the Real World Denver cast. It maintains a certain level of douche-iness that is to be expected in Lodo, but it isn't overwhelming (like the Tavern, for example). Aside from the fact that I completely hate the name, I'm a fan of this place and I'll surely be back!

This is a great bar and grill. The food is excellent and the service is very good. The people that work there are friendly and very helpful. This is the place that you go to have a few drinks or to have dinner. There is also is the fact that you can go watch football and other sporting events that go in there

As corporate of a bar that there is in LoDo, and with that comes with pros and cons. More me, I like this as I know what standard of price, quality and service I am going to get everytime. Happy Hours are remarkable and simple (often times simply with half-off everything), service is above-average (however it's odd you'll have 5 different bartenders help you when you sit at the bar), and the food is the same everytime (and high-quality especially the fried egg hamburger). Be sure not to go to Brothers Bar and hit up It's Brothers - a mistake often made by many with both in Denver. This is the far better one of the two!

My boyfriend and I were trying to get into this place. But when I walked up to the person who checked IDs, he said that my boyfriend behind me is too intoxicated and hes not going in. He was standing behind me and wasn't falling over or anything that indicate that he was intoxicated. I was so confused when he says that. So i asked him why? What did he do? Instead of saying why, he then told me I can't get in either because he thinks I was intoxicated too. I didn't argue with him because there's really nothing I can say. We only wanted to go there because it was my friends birthday and she was inside. So we drove home after that. I think the person who checked my ID probably never really got anywhere in life and never going to. Never had any power in anything and that's why it was more of a power thing for him. I don't ever want to go there again and I will make sure none of my friends will go there either.

I like it's Brothers. It's a chain, which you might not know going in, but they're typically pretty nice. Biggest downside, it's in LoDo, so the D-Bags come out of the woodwork. On a Sunday afternoon, there's way too much "Woo-ing" and "Yeah man!" going on, and way way too many popped collars! Was like eating lunch while they filled Jersey Shore. That said, the food is good and well priced, and the drinks are too.

  • Cherie B.

Everytime I go here, SOMEONE gets kicked out or arrested. It never fails. Whether it's the homeless dude that just wants "one more beer, man...c'mon," or the meathead with the popped collar, you're bound to see someone escorted out with their hands secured behind their back. I go here strictly for the entertainment value. The service has never been too bad for me and the drinks are reasonably priced. I recently saw a bartender blatantly roll her eyes at a guy. As a former bartender, I can completely relate to her...there are some people you just want to punch in the throat. I think a lot of the bars in LoDo are a bit douche-baggy. It's Brothers doesn't seem to be too bad until the later hours...you know, when the youngins decide to stop pre-drinking at home.

What's with the birthday parties and everyone has to dress up the same trend? We showed up and there were 50 people with fake moustaches. Now, I'm not one to turn down a lovely lady in a fake moustache, but seriously? Anyway, this was one of the last stops of our bar golf round, this was also where my drinking partner and I did our 100th push up. This also happens to be the place where the kids on the worst year of the Real World lived. Drinks are solid, decently priced. We didn't eat, so I can't speak to the food. We also had to macarena for 60 seconds. I so wish I could get those 60 seconds back. It wasn't worth the eagle. Crowd here seemed to be reasonable on a Saturday afternoon, but it was afternoon and see my rant about the moustaches. I do dig the outdoor area as part of the bar is you know...an inside bar and they have an outdoor area with a firepit as well.

I give this place 4 stars because of their extremely cheap happy hour drink specials (half price beers). I got a pitcher of Titan IPA for $6.50! You just cannot beat that. I believe this special is every day from 4-8 p.m. I have had decent service when sitting at a table and good service when seated at the bar. I've tried a couple of their appetizers and haven't been overly impressed, but I will continue to go back because their happy hour beer prices are excellent. One thing that is weird to me is their "dress code" policy posted by the doors as you walk in. It's a sports bar! If you get a chance, read it--it's quite interesting to see all the odd things you can/cannot wear in.

My favorite Midwestern bar, Brother's, has finally made it to Denver. Even though the name is It's Brother's here (they're trying to not step on My Brother's Bar's toes), it has the same owners, the same atmosphere, and the same vibe. Bonus: It's in the same building that the Real World Denver kids lived in. One thing that isn't the same: the food. The menu is pretty extensive and more creative than some of the other Brother's I've been to. I got the jumbo pretzel sticks after a day-long insatiable pretzel craving. They did the trick. The beer-cheese dip was the best match for their doughy goodness, but the horsey mustard wasn't bad, either. Another plus is they had drink specials on a Saturday. I stuck with a boring beer, but they seemed to have a pretty good selection. We sat outside on the patio, and all I could think of was Tyrie from the Real World peeing in public and getting arrested while holding on to those very same gates (maybe they replaced them-- or at least washed them.) Other than the negative associations, the patio was perfect with it's oversized fire pit and view of drunkards stumbling down the street. I will definitely be back there- every weekend.

I was very disappointed by this bar. I by no means am above anyone else when I am at the bar but when I'm there to drink, I'm there to spend money and drink. And on last nights occasion we were out celebrating. I walked in and had no issue, wearing boots, designer jeans, a designer white shirt, a scarf and a jacket. (I am a very clean cut person) I was approached, AFTER purchasing alcohol and was told that I must at all times cover myself because a white shirt was not allowed and neither was visually showing a necklace. I asked the bouncer if he was joking and he got rude, so i put my jacket back on and tucked in my necklace and waited for my friends, and we walked to the front doors to leave and a bouncer shoved me out of the door. Poor service Light pours Overly aggressive staff All in all, a total disappointment where we will not be heading back to ever.

..and so begins another long Yelp session after a long but fun weekend! So I just stopped in It's Bothers for a quick beer w/ a buddy while waiting to meet up with the rest of our crew this past Friday night. Large place --full, noisy and lively. Just what you'd usually look for on a booming Friday at 11pm right? Although I didn't stay for too long-- I'd like to get back to this venue and relax a bit next time. The fire pit and large garage-type doors look to provide a great atmosphere for those chilly Denver Springtime nights.

Happy hour is 1/2 price drinks and that goes from 4-8 and all day sunday. Then from 9-close they have different specials every night. For example: Monday night $3.50 coors pitchers. Wednesday night $1.50 wells and .10 wings. The wings aren't the best but you can't go wrong at a $1 an order. This is a major improvement on what was here before (Theory). Glad to see the space put to a good use.

Football ( broncs game...before they started to suck) + Beer ( wiiiide variety on tap and in bottles) +atmosphere (old REAL WORLD DENVER house, full of cool things and party type digs!) + fun crew = fun way to spend a sunday downtown! :)

We were here for a few drinks before a Rockies game. Atmosphere: soso. Service: good. Food: we didn't try it, but honestly I wouldn't come here to eat. As it is, it's a decent enough place to grab a few drinks. I have to say though, one thing this place has going for it is it has VERY cute waitresses.

    (3)
  • Bobby G.

There were 1/2 price all drinks until 8 pm and a ton of good beer on tap. Plus the whole place is pretty open so you can feel like you're outside instead of just hammered, sitting at the bar at 5. Yay! Minus one star for the not 1/2 price drink time.

Now it could be that I went at exactly the wrong day and time (Saturday night), but I am not a huge fan of this place. This is a "bro" haven. I guess it's no coincidence that "bro" literally translates to "brother." I probably should have put that together before going. I thought I was walking into the place with the cast from the Jersey Shore. No, seriously. The crowd at this time of night is definitely for those aged 21-24, and I'm not that much older, but you can definitely tell a difference. Sadly, I think I might have liked this place when I was young and reckless with my dance moves and flirtation. However, the blast from the past was too much, and I have to say I was embarrassed being there. I'm sure it's a lovely establishment during daylight. I've heard the building was the residence for the Denver Real World cast. That's kind of neat, but I don't really like The Real World (er... I guess I might have when I was 21-24).

I went here for lunch one day and was impressed by the daily specials and good range of food choices. Their wraps, sandwiches, and burgers all looked good. I tried the chicken queso wrap with tortilla strips and it was quite good. The side of queso was good for dipping the fries. I came back on a Friday night for dinner and it was crowded, but in a good way. The firepit was going, some sports on the TVs with the music jamming wasn't a bad way to enjoy a meal and a beverage. They have at least 20 quality beers on tap. Staff and bartenders are very friendly. I would go back to this place, even if I didn't know it was the Real World Denver house.

Giant patio, giant bar, fried mushrooms, good wheat beer options Happy hour from 4-8 (go with the 20 oz) - woohoo! Staff is fun and friendly. Inferno Burger was tasty - ask for extra jalapenos! Kettle chips are pretty good too. All around a nice undiscovered bar in lodo. Or it's big enough to be able to separate you from everyone else! Nice set of appetizers to select from for just noshing. I'll be frequenting this place often!

  • Beth A.

I've been heading down here for the Bronco games and the atmosphere makes the place my go-to spot for the game. The spinach dip just puts icing on the cake; however, the service - at times - can be slow. I try to give some credit to the staff, as I am sure having so many people in for a two hour period is exhausting and I notice the hiring signs; but it would be nice to have slightly better (read - timely) service.

We stopped in here at what may be the worst possible time to really get a feel for a bar - after 10pm on a Monday night. The place was, of course, dead, but there were still a couple guys working behind the bar. They were friendly enough, and the place seemed pretty clean overall. It's also nice when bars serve beer in glasses larger than a pint - though we should have passed on this particular night, since we ended up leaving before any one of us finished the entire beer.

I am strictly reviewing the happy hour. Went here on a Wednesday to get wings (which I will also review). Got here at like 740pm and they still had happy hour! Until 8pm! The beer specials are awesome. Everything was HALF price! Their prices are good anyway-$4 for Dales=$2 during happy hour! We ordered a pitcher of Denver Pale Ale for $7 bucks. Whaaaaaat!? We sat at the bar and it was THEE most comfortable bar seating position I have ever been in. The "foot rest" is a big cement block which is pretty high, so you're not siting their awkwardly dangling your legs trying to reach the foot rest which is way too low. Me being 6 foot with bad knees, this is a nice feature. Also, there weren't alot of people there which was nice. It wasn't a bunch of frat boys either. Chill, small crowd and lots of basketball on tv. We stuck around until 9pm for the wings which are 15 cents each! Great deal. And they were pretty good. I'm not a huge wing person but the ppl I was with enjoyed them quite a bit.The wings were big and really meaty so it was definitely worth it. We bought 60 for 6 people and we had about a dozen and a half left over. We may make this a mid week tradition.

I went with my buddy to Brother's because this woman he was meeting downtown said she was here. Waited in line. Got in. Used the restroom. Took a look around. Realized we weren't big enough d-bags to be here. Left and had her meet us. Yep, that pretty much sums up Brother's. No-offense to jersey shore wanna-be d-bags intended in this review.

First post, So I'll keep it short. Just left It's Brothers on a Monday during the NBA semi-finals Game 5, OKC vs Spurs game. 30 people in the bar, all 30 of them wanted the sound of the game on, yet, JACK, the ~manager (congrats, I'm sure you're parents are proud), would NOT put the sound of the game on, even though the entire bar wanted the game sound. So, we went to Lodos, they have the game sound on and our own TV. Never again. You're fault Jack.

There's so much wrong with this place it's hard for me to find a starting point. Im not a fan of the food, the staff, the crowd, the dress code and most importantly the owner. If your in downtown Denver and you find yourself outside of It's Brothers, RUN. Run very fast and go to any other establishment as fast as you can. You'll be glad you didn't waste your hard earned money here.

Another mediocre lodo bar. The crowd here is typical, but a little less scary than some of its neighbors. For whatever reason, we always tend to end up here if we're downtown on the weekends. I don't think it's because any of my friends or I really love it, or really like it for that matter- it's probably because it's one of the newer additions to the lodo scene, and the wrap around patio at the front is great for people watching and fresh air. Speaking of fresh air, that place could really use some central A/C, or some ceiling fans or something. It gets PACKED by 11, and as soon as you get 5 feet from the door, a wave of heat hits you- it's like walking thru the gates of hell. Yikes. The staff is primarily male, and primarily douche, but tolerable. You also have to fight your way to get to the front of the bar. I would only give this place 2 stars, but my non-weekend experiences here give it a boost of 1 additional star. This additional star is definitely NOT for their weekday service team. The waitresses remind me of a typical sitcom depiction of a bratty teenager- bored, aloof, annoyed, gum-smacking, hair-twirling awesomeness. On several occasions, they seemed much more interested in lounging in the booths, and chatting with each other than earning tips. But I digress... They're food is actually pretty damn good, and they have great weekday drink specials. I am a-d-d-i-c-t-e-d to their gator balls (bacon wrapped around chicken that's wrapped around jalapeño and cream cheese yum!) and Parmesan garlic fries that are served with a tangy, buffalo-y, garlicky dipping sauce. It's the perfect, terrible-for-you kind of bar food that is good enough for me to add a star and keep coming back, despite the level of service.

If you are familiar with the Brothers name then you should already know what to expect. Power tripping bouncers, slow bartenders and weak drinks. Brothers does have some good deals during the week and is a small step up from the one in Madison but you have to remember "It's Brothers". Some things about Brothers never changes. Also at this location the cheese cures are a major rip off.

  • Kimbra J.

I'm going to go ahead and say the food here is the worst bar food in town, barf. When I go to happy hour or a bar to watch a game, I normally order food at some point (just like everyone else) with my beer- so I am giving this place 2 stars solely based on the food. Gator bites- burnt to a crisp. Garlic and Parm fries- included garlic salt and crappy parm sprinkled on top of crappy fries served with buffalo ranch sauce- I was embarrassed for this item. The pretzel app is a brown loaf of bread with terrible cheese sauce on the side. I caught a glimpse of their grilled cheese...all dried up with stale wonder bread. Their burgers have crappy buns. They can't even get chips and salsa right- get serious. These are all no-brainer menu items that no establishment should mess up. Brother's is one of those places where you can tell that they obviously skimp on their food budget to the max in order to maximize their profit. I will never eat here again and I recommend choosing any other bar to visit if you plan on grabbing a bite to eat while you're there. Bar food isn't supposed to be fancy but it can still be tasty and edible.

I have been to It's Brother a few more times now and I am going to stick with the 4 stars. The drink specials are awesome. We have stopped going to other sports bars around Coors Field because at It's Brothers we can always get a seat and the drinks are cheap. The food is still okay. We have also tried the burger and fries, chicken sandwich, house salad with the maple vinaigrette, Philly sliders & and the grilled cheese on sourdough. The best so far has been the grilled cheese on sourdough and the Philly sliders. Oh, always go for the fries, not the kettle chips.

  • Katie P.

Great specials, terrible service, Woodchuck on tap. That pretty much sums it up... we go because the happy hour is so good (half off basically everything), but we grumble just about every time we go because the service is horrible. When waitresses are standing at the bar flipping through an US Weekly while you've been waiting 10 minutes for service and finally have to walk to the bar to get your drink? Not okay. The bartenders are on top of their game, the servers are just... off. We'll go back because the happy hour is long (4-8 EVERY DAY) and awesome, but that's really the only draw.

    (3)
  • Katie M.

15 cent wings on Wednesday are great. But when I asked the waitress for a water she told me it would cost $1 because I wasn't ordering an alcoholic beverage. Ridiculous!! I'm sorry but not everyone drinks on Wednesday nights!! Some people have to wake up for jobs!!

This place is big enough that it's a decent place to stop before a baseball game and not have to deal with a swamped, packed bar. Great daily happy hour from 4-8pm: half off all alcohol (with a few exceptions, Great Divide's Yeti and a certain vodka and gin were what I remember). My 20oz DPA from Great Divide was just $3 and you can't beat that with a stick. I also had a tasty plain burger for $6.50 (+ $1 for fries; chips or a salad for free). It was the perfect smaller size for me with fresh veggies and crunchy pickles on top. I much prefer a 1/4 lb burger than some of the behemoths out there these days. Our server was friendly, even though it took a loooong time for beers to come for our friends - ours came really quickly for some reason. They were out of a few beers and having trouble with a tap for another. I don't hold that against them though. I have a lot of trouble with the dang keg tap in my own kitchen, it happens. I'd definitely come back to try their pretzel and I enjoyed the not-too-crowded-or-hot patio on a 95-degree day. I'm not in this area of downtown much, and I have many favorites nearby already, so this place wouldn't make my top 5 but it has earned a spot on the list! I'm always picky about beer selection and there weren't quite as many local brews as you could have with the proximity to all the great breweries downtown, BUT they were at least decently priced.

H-O-R-R-I-B-L-E SERVICE!!!!!! First time my friends and I tried this place was during their first week of opening. Obviously there are going to be problems. Second time around we're sitting at the bar and the bartender refuses to serve my friend a water because she doesn't have her ID. Really!?! And finally the last straw was tonight. After waiting over five minutes for a server my friends finally flagged someone down and asked if we could get some help. The servers response was "I'm done." What a coincidence, I'm done with this place too.

Just caught a World Cup match here. For such a big draw, I would have expected better specials. They REALLY SUCKED here, so I was quite disappointed. $2 miller light bottles and $6 coors light pitchers - Why charge for urine-like substances? They do have the good stuff here (a rather extensive list of Colorado microbrews on tap), but that'll set you back $5.75 a glass. I would have loved to have just 1 special, even if it was just like $1 off a decent beer. I'd recommend the reuben sliders (you get 4) that come with chips (or fries for $1 extra...WTF - for a really small portion) for a base price of $6.99. The pretzel sticks ($5.99) are horrendous - like big, thick loafs of Wonderbread with a pseudo soft-pretzel outer crust....WTF? The stale-carrot infused "queso" concoction and blech horseradish accompanying sauces were interesting...ughhhhhhhh. Well, I took those POS pretzel sticks home (big-ups to them for those recyclable black take-out boxes and sauce containers), baked them up at high temp for a while, dipped them in beer mustard, and...I fixed them, sort of. Yes, some do call me a miracle worker. Massive amount of seating, plenty of nice flat-screen TVs, a little outdoor seating area, a little deck adjacent to the street, and really a nice, airy overall space, sort of across the street from Tavern downtown.

This is one of my favorite places to go before 11pm on a friday or saturday night. After that it just gets too crowded and loud, like any other bar downtown. But I really like the setup, half outdoors with a fire pit makes for a nice change from the typical bar. Also, the staff are very friendly--actually one of the nicest group of security and bartenders I've come across in the downtown bars.

Not only are the bartenders super hott, but they make amazing drinks as well. Great happy hour, great service. I will definitely be back.

Overpriced drinks, I guess that's what you expect going to the old Real World house. The atmosphere is fun and lively, though.

Stumbled upon this place during a bar crawl one friday night downtown and we were very happy to have found out what they had done with this place. Great happy hour, crowded yet able to spread out, good group of people there and atmosphere (not like the tavern). Didnt have any food so i will review that the next time i go. They had a hockey net up sponsored by Budweisser and if you made it in the hole you got free beer. Pretty sweet deal.

no cover in lodo is awesome, good looking people, good top 40s music. A little loud if you wanna chat, but all in all, not bad at all. :)

It's an okay bar, there are definitely better bars in the neighborhood. My biggest problem are the bouncers, it's like amateur hour at the frat house. They might as well have popped collars. Get rid of the security staff and this bar might have a chance...

Horrible food, horrible service, even with the place nearly empty. The only way it could've been worse is if I got sick. Do yourself a favor and try one of lodo's many other restaurants.

The bar was decent, long line, rude security guards, and the kicker....they overcharged me. bill was 23, they charged me 28. never going back.

I just went here for the first time last night because they had a big sign that said 2.50 beers of tap every tuesday night and I was looking for a cool place to go with my friends. The bartender was very nice to me and my group. They had a large selection of beers on tap for a very reasonable price for Downtown Denver. I really enjoyed the ambiance of this bar. They had televisions so you could watch sports if you chose to or you could just relax with your friends. It wasn't an overly loud bar, so you could hear your friends easily. I didn't get a chance to try the food, but I should have. They also have a covered patio with a firepit that looked as though it was really enjoyable and comfortable to sit at. This is one place that I can definitely say that I am looking forward to going back to!
