A great selection of beer considering you are in the airport. On top of that you don't even have to have a ticket or make it through security. This is a lifesaver if you are waiting for delayed travelers. The only advice I have for the food is to AVOID it. The Service: 3 Stars The Beer: 4 Stars The Food: 2 Stars

So, I had to wait for a shuttle after arriving at the Airport and clearing the baggage area. Around the corner, I see this place which has a sign that advertises itself as the only micro-brewery at the airport. Well, the beer is fine, but take a pass on the food, unless you like Pork cooked under hot lamps, as this place does not even have a kitchen, just a food prep area off to the side. I usually do not eat meat, so I ordered the Nachos. What they served me for $9.25USD was a plate of cold tortilla chips with baseball park/7-11 convenience store style "cheese sauce" dripped over the chips. Not good! Lastly, the on-duty servers spent more time texting on their cells than serving the customers. Lousy service and the food stinks.

Heading to baggage claim, feeling jet lagged, and then behold, after my four hour flight, Boulder Beer Tap House is here to welcome me home! Nice bartender and found good company next to me to chat with. It wasn't too busy to find a good seat, unfortunately Rock Bottom upstairs was, and had a very long wait. So I was feeling thankful that I could find refuge here. When I came here I tried to brewers choice, which was a blueberry. Outstanding! Fruit and veggie beers are really hit or miss but this was flavored brilliantly, and they charged for it all right, it was $6.25 for a beer. Then tip, wow, I have never paid $7.25 for one beer before. That's interesting. Maybe it is because it is in the airport and their rent is high? Probably not doing that again, I will just stop by the liquor store and buy a 6 pack of that for ten bucks instead.

We were stuck in the airport overnight due to a snow storm so we as self proclaimed beer connoisseurs decided to try this place. Food is quickly prepared and is mainly canned, pre-packaged, or pre-made. Definitely not fresh. The beer options were ok. The service was definitely in wanting. There was one competent waitress there covering her coworkers asses the whole night. We were bummed that we couldn't access the other higher reviewed restaurants. Won't hit up this place again if we are to ever find ourselves in the Denver Airport again.

Anytime I'm at DIA, and I have time, I stop into The Tap House. The beers are great. You should know, you can't get fries here! What you can get is a whole bunch of attitude by a wait staff who just can't be bothered! The attitude of the wait staff gets more tolerable as you drink so, drink up!

I'm amazed by the number of negative reviews. I kinda liked the place, and it didn't feel that much like an airport spot. The only main shortcoming for me was location: Before security, not after. Good beer; good vibe, decent food, friendly service (my waitress called me "darling"...bless her). The airport wi-fi was strong and clear. I had the sliders; they were pretty good; buns were fresh, patties were juicy. My beer, a porter, was ta-a-a-sty tasty. But then I got nervous and decided I had to get through the time sink of security before I could really relax and stop looking at my watch. It would have been nice to linger here with my departure gate close by. Oh well. Extra star added, to offset all the negative Nellies.

Okay beer, horrible food. It's an airport bar, so yes, it is going to be expensive. But the corner chef set up of pre made items, along with a microwave to warm them in plain view is just plain bad business. No one wants to pay $$ for simple appetizer items be prepared by throwing them on a plate, microwaving them, then presenting them to the customer is wrong. I doubt I will ever be in the area again to redeem, but I doubt I would grant the chance if i were.

Boulder Beer is one of my favorite breweries, hands down. Hazed and Infused and Mojo are two of my faves. I finally was able to visit the brewery and I wasn't disappointed. We snagged an outdoor table overlooking the mountains and settled in for lunch before a planned tour of the brewery. We each ordered a sampler, which was quite impressive. I say this because you get to sample ALL the beers. Yes, all sixteen or so. It totaled to about three pints worth of samples. So yeah, it was going to be that sort of lunch. I ordered up a bison burger with a side of their green chili. It was delicious, filling and a good way to get a taste of Colorado on my first day of vacation. I haven't had green chili outside of the state. My friends enjoyed their food as well. We finished up our lunches and drinks and signed up for the next brewery tour. The tour was awesome, informative and ended with, what else, beer! Lots of beer. The staff were all very friendly and fun, from our server at lunch to the dude giving the tour. It was a great experience. I'm just happy that the Boulder Beer Tap House lived up to my expectations. We had a great time and left with a nice buzz.

Giving an extra star for serving beer at the airport. Otherwise disappointed. Nice looking place featuring its own brand and range of flavors. Given the style of the business, I expect that a customer sitting at the bar could be served a mere taste of draft to help ward away flavor indecision. This is standard at brew pubs but not here. Good TV zone.

My flight was cancelled, I was waiting for my bags, and I was starving. So, this seemed like the place to stop at. They have phone charging stations at the bar, so that was perfect too. They have a great selection of Boulder Beers here - I tried a few and liked them all. They are good about giving you samples before you buy. The food was pretty mediocre - I got the french dip. It wasn't terrible...but I wouldn't order it again. The service was alright, not overly friendly like others have said. Luckily they are not overpriced so I wasn't gouged there. It wasn't great. It wasn't terrible. Hence, the A-ok rating.

Probably like many people, I ended up here because I didn't realize I'd already left the secure are and so couldn't go back to that restaurant people on Yelp really like. This menu looked pretty good -- the prices were a breath of fresh air in comparison to Logan, where we'd flown from -- and they had sports on TV. I was a little disappointed by my veggie burger; the patty was pretty good but the bun was sad and there was like one small piece of lettuce. I'm told the beer was good. The shakes looked great but I had to restrain myself since I was on my way to an awesomely catered wedding.

Had a burger, it was just okay. I'm not a beer drinker, so I probably missed the best part of what they have to offer (as noted by the name of the establishment).

Nice place in Denver Airport to relax and have a quality beer. Didn't try the food, so can't comment on that.

  • Scott D.

It is called "Tap House", not fine food place. You come here foe good beer while you wait for your flight or wait for friends to arrive. Service is good and the food was fine. I mean...you are at an airport....this is not Ruth Chris. Food wise you only really have fast foods, so why not eat here and have a good fresh micro brew? That is what they advertise.... so enjoy it.

  • E S.

Agree with much of what is already posted. Poor stale food, I eat a lot of costco, and am 80% certain that they just bought they big bag of frozen hamburger patties and then proceded to cook it way too thoroughly. Chips also tasted fresh out of the 2-week opened bag and were served with bland salsa. Beer was solid quality and they had a nice selection (They make the claim to be the first microbrewery in CO), but was priced @ 7$ a glass. Not surprising given airport venue but just fyi. Bottom line- don't eat here, just grab bk upstairs if you feel like a burger, but if you like beer, this is a good place to throw back a few of Colorado's pioneering and overpriced microbrews

    (1)
  • Chloe P.

The beer is very good. I got the Santa Fe salad which was decent however it was mostly iceberg lettuce, which I found to be disappointing. If it were a mixed green fresh salad it would have been way better. It was very filling which is good because its a bit pricey but its to be expected at an airport.

    (3)
  • Shannon T.

Sub-par food. $8.50 for a soup and salad I couldn't finish (not worth it). It's a fine place to watch a game (though no sound), but I wouldn't recommend it for the food.

First stop after an out of the country trip, it was great being able to drink a Colorado brew. The weird thing is they sell crap beer too from Budweiser and Coors. I understand the idea to sell products to the lowest common denominator but maybe just maybe one of these lesser beer drinkers could be wooed over by drinking something good. The service was acceptable, and not overly chatty, which is nice seeing that I wanted some peace and quiet. The food was good, not great. Very small kitchen that has limited cooking abilities. Not sure about another recent review where they were not allowed to have luggage in the restaurant. They didn't give us a hard time about our 4 bags. Beer recommendation: Hazed & Infused.

This place was OK, not impressive food, but it is the airport after all. The service was pretty good as well.

Okay, the waitress we had was pretty awesome and brought us taster beers and was super friendly. The beers here are also pretty top notch. The 2 stars is for the ham & cheese sandwich. Hands down the most disappointing restaurant sandwich I've ever seen. It's basically what you might make at home if you were feeling really lazy and slapped something together in a hurry.

Great beer, and awesome service. The perfect place for a drink. The bartender Abel, was especially thoughtful and fun.

This bartender is a complete jerk... To put it nicely. We came in with a party of 6 at 830 am and you would have thought it was the end of the world, oh and no hot chocolate... Guy behind the bar Al didn't even come around the bar to take our order just leaned over and said what do you want to drink. Completely ridiculous. At least our server is nice that just came in for her shift

    (1)
  • Tim S.

This place gets JAMMED. Beer is fantastic of course, but the food is mediocre, even for airport food. Head down concourse A and hit one of the better restaurants, or even swing down that way to Steve's Snappin' Dogs for a more relaxing experience, a better variety of brews, and more creative food.

What incredibly garbage service. I understand what it's like to be busy, we're about the most understanding people out there. But every place we tried to sit down, there was some argument from this troll of a waitress about why we couldnt, then a made up rule about where bags could go (with other people in the place keeping their oversize bags). Garbage service. Contacted the manager, who doesn't apparently speak or understand english, and was completely unconcerned about the word getting out. So here's the word. Don't go there. Filthy. Horrible service.

a tap house at an airport, what the heck?! maybe I'm just disadvantaged living in the east, with endless dunkin' donuts and burger kings ad nauseum, but this comes as a pleasant surprise with four hours to kill before my flight out of Denver International back to godforsaken New Jersey. swell selection of craft brews with diversity to spare, I had the buffalo gold and a sweaty betty, which didn't fail to satisfy. also chowed on the brat they offered and loved the perfectly soft/chewey bun and kraut. ambiance made me forget I was at an airport and never got so loud that I couldn't concentrate on reading flipbook articles or writing reviews of the aces I'd visited in the past week on vacation in colorado. gary, my bartender/server, was very attentative and even engaged in some genuine discussion about classic television, celebrity encounters, and literature. great guy. if you need a place to relax while waiting for a flight, there are worst options than boulder beer, for sure. didn't even care about cost, which ain't bad by any stretch ($23 for the brat and 2 pints). check it out!

  • Tara L.

Had a few beers here while waiting on a friend's flight to land. I went with the Sweaty Betty Wheat and enjoyed it. I didn't order the food but the lady sitting next to me at the bar got chips and salsa. They looked awful and she said it was stale chips and Pace Picante sauce. Yuck!

  • Jon W.

John gave us excellent service. We were pretty happy that we found this place outside security since we had to wait so long to even check in. I didn't see any other true sit down and be waited on places outside (and definitely not inside) security. This looked like our best bet and we were not disappointed. We both had the French dip with fresh yummy potato salad. Fred D. had a flight of beers all of which were extremely good (he let me taste them too). We had no experience with this place so didn't know what to expect. The beer was really exceptional and the food was good. The best thing though was the Chocolate milkshake that I had that was made with beer. They must pick the right beer to go with it because the taste is an unexpected delight. Although I have never eaten anywhere else at Denver Airport this place seems like your best bet. I would eat here again.

    (3)
  • Cass D.

Eating at DIA sucks if you are trying to find a place that is outside of the terminals to hang out for a while. With a beer menu that's practically larger than the one for food, and considering the options... this would be my recommendation. I had a beer marinated brat.

    (4)
  • Scott S.

Boulder Beers and pub food await you at this location. It's in the main terminal before security, which costs it a star. And they don't have anything fried as they don't have a vent system, which apparently no one other than Burger King has in that terminal. Had I not had 6 hours to kill at the airport and had I not studied the airport map before heading to my gate I would have never known this was here.

    (3)
  • Christina T.

Always love getting off the plane and coming home to a good brew! I heart Colorado and Boulder Beet Co. I prefer the Sweaty Betty

    (5)
  • Jonathan P.

Very solid beers, and a serviceable space. It's not superlative - and honestly, neither are Boulder's beers, in my limited experience - but it's within an airport, it's local, and it's offerings are leagues better than anything New Belgium brews. In short: it was exactly what I needed it to be whilst killing time awaiting an AF to downtown.

    (3)
  • Nate E.

I had almost an hour to kill waiting for my wife to pick me up so I stopped in for a quick beer. They have a great selection of their beers (most people were ordering Buffalo Gold which I found hilarious) and I was really stoked to find out that they had Killer Penguin on tap! That's the main reason I gave them 3 stars. The service was incredibly slow. I wasn't acknowledged for over 10 minutes even though I was sitting at the bar and there were two bartenders. I noticed that it took another 10-15 minutes to check out for someone else sitting at the bar so I only got one beer and planned accordingly. It was the same situation for myself. I didn't eat but the food looked ok. I wouldn't recommend going here if you are in any sort of a rush at all but if you like getting to the airport 4+ hours early it's the best beer selection at DIA.

    (3)
  • Patrick S.

Food was excellent, service was expeditious, and beers/alcohol (according to those that did drink!) were good. Salads were plain and used iceberg lettuce; otherwise they were good. Great place (really the only place) to watch a basketball game within DIA!

  • Steve H.

With several notable exceptions and islands of awesomeness, as soon as you leave the West coast the quality if craft beer--and especially IPA--plummets. So I expected mediocre beer, and Boulder Brewing did not disappoint. Mojo IPA tastes like extra malty Budweiser. $6.75 a pint (the typical airport terminal gouging). IPA should have strong floral hop notes right up front--piney, citrusy notes. Its lacking totally in this beer. While I expected the mediocre beer, I didn't expect bad food. The nachos with red chili are bad! Its that simple. Being in the southwest I expected red chili made with New Mexico chili and beef. They even had green chili as an option, reinforcing this expectation. This red chili is what you'd expect to get somewhere in the midwest: kidney beans, tomato sauce, ground beef. And it was thin and runny, soaking the chips into a gloppy heap of wet corn noodles. So disappointing in Denver. The chips also tasted nasty. And to top it off: some sort of plastic qwiki-mart style cheese sauce. Judging by other Yelp reviews, this place is considered a relatively good place compared to other offerings at DIA. If that's true, most places at DIA must be pretty awful.

  • Gwendolyn B.

Good french dip. I also tried the Barley Burger and it was very good. I asked for a side of bbq sauce just for a bit more flavor. The Porter Shake is good but could have used more ice cream to porter ratio to make it thicker.

    (4)
  • Cheyne M.

Pretty good selection of signature craft beers, but the food could use some work. Although, tap houses are rarely known for their food, so get over it. Boulder Beer is a welcome addition to DIA.

  • Arleen A.

The bartender didn't serve me drinks because they were closing in 15 mins!! Very rude bartender. Spoke to the manager Mike and he simply said ok. Didn't even offer to serve us the drinks. Italian restaurant in gate A was a much better choice.

  • Allison F.

This place was one huge disappointment. All the food is served from banquet serving dishes. Nothing is cooked. Everything has already been sitting forever to get hot, or microwaved upon order. We ordered chips and salsa as an appetizer. It was $4.50. Guess what we got? A bowl of Tostitos mild salsa and stale multi-colored tortilla chips. Good start! I got the chopped pork sliders and paid extra to add cheddar to the sliders. Jacob ordered the cheeseburger sliders. Our food was microwaved promptly and put on the shelf within 5 minutes of ordering, but the server didn't bring it to us until around the 10 minute mark. Jacob's "sliders" were pathetic. They looked worse than GFC pre-made beef patties. I'm very surprised he ate them at all... the hefty price tag probably attributed to him consuming them. My pork sliders were okay but I couldn't see any cheddar to be found, even though I paid a buck more to have it on there. They got cold pretty quickly, too. They were also very dry. I asked for a side of bbq and they don't even have the same bbq sauce the pork is sitting in, just some generic kind that wasn't as good. This place is a disaster. It's expensive, the service is shoddy and the food quality is worse than an inner-city elementary school lunchroom.

We had the unusual circumstance of meeting a group at the airport, having dinner with them there and then sending them on their way to the mountains for the weekend. We had to eat in the terminal, not on a concourse as we were just driving down from Boulder to meet them. And one of the party, age 7, "needed" a grilled cheese sandwich to sustain him for the 3 hour car trip. I called around in advance and found this to be the only place at DIA that met those needs. It was just fine. It was pretty mobbed on a Friday night, with a waitstaff of 2 covering all the tables in the place. They were very cheerful and energetic, no errors on any of the requests though at a few stages in the meal, the wait was a little longer than we desired. The food was OK. Items served were the barley burger, the meatball sandwich, the brat and of course the grilled cheese. No complaints, though the grilled cheese was a panini and though the "stripes" were a curiosity to the 7 year old, he ate it just fine. Beer, ice tea, root beer and a porter milkshake were also consumed. It actually all worked out quite well.

We had little bit of time before we catch our flight becayse it was delayed. We all sat down to grab a beer. When the name says Beer company I think they would have more selections. I was hungry (AGAIN =)) and I wanted to grab something to eat. I looked and I looked but there was really nothing to eat on their menu. I tried to suck it up but the beer I order wasn't that great so it was going to appease my appitite. I looked at the menu couple more times to see if anything will catch my eye and Nachos caught my raking eye. I order the Nachos with chicken thinking I needed more substance. There is a guy left to where we were sitting and he was the cook/kitchen. Everything that was on my plate came from buffet station he had. If we were not at airport and othere place that we wanted to go was not closed due to New Year... We would have never came here. BUT experiences like this just makes me appreciate the good ~ great ones.

Have their employees measure out individuals shots like they don't trust them or their customers. Also came in to watch NCAA march madness and they wouldn't change from women's game per company policy. Sounds like a real shitty company to work for. From Denver, will never buy their beer after visiting their restaurant at DIA. I would recommend other bars in main terminal as this one is terrible. Got to red rocks brewery across the way.

Only a one star because ZERO wasn't an option. Wait staff not just rude but downright nasty. Lots of tables with college kids who weren't eating, drinking, or even browsing a menu taking up half the space in the place, skis and boards everywhere, but when we finally got a table (because some poor lady felt bad for us standing there and finished her drink quicker than she probably would have liked), we got lectured for bringing our suitcases into the place (like everyone else). WTF. This is a frequent airport for us, but I'll never give them any business. Spoke to the manager on the way out, he didn't give a rip. Horrible.

Ever since I moved to Denver I have had family fly through DIA with long enough layovers for me to come have a beer and perhaps some food. Boulder Beer's airport pub provides a perfect meeting spot for me to do just that. They have all of the Boulder Beer brews that we all know and love, plus some delicious seasonals. Their beer selection is far better than any of the other brewery locations within DIA. Where Boulder Beer loses a star is on the food. It's your typical bar menu done rather pedestrian. The chips and salsa are ok, and the BBQ bacon burger I had last time was overall tasty but rather mediocre compared to the many burgers I've had in my life. The burger seemed like a frozen patty, while the sauce was your typical sweet BBQ sauce. Again, not bad but also not quite up to the price tag. A perfect spot to meet someone outside of security at DIA for a beer or two.

  • Tumbleweed B.

The beer is good but the food is skimpy. I ordered the "hearty vegetable soup" for $6.25 it was tomato-water and 5 carrots! I could not get the attention of the staff to tell them that this is a rip-off...and I was at the bar! The food in Boulder is really good but I guess DIA can charge a lot and serve crap food. The 2 gentlemen on either side commented that the Jumbalaya was awful and the guacomole with chips was an ice cream scoop of Guac and store chips.

Been to a LOT of airport bars in my travels....50k miles in 10 weeks. Was walking around the Denver airport looking for a place to plop while I want for a colleague. Sitting in this location drinking a sweaty betty blonde now. Beer is very good overall, light and clearly wheaty. But the service is horrendous. Probably about 25 people in the place and a single inattentive bartender. Took about 10 mins to get the beer. Good beer but terrible service. Be prepared to wait.

    (2)

I just spent a week in Mexico, then got sick from eating here at the airport. Horrible, obviously frozen food...avoid at all costs. The beer is slightly better - buffalo gold is my favorite.

Beer = 4 stars, Food = 2 stars. What's the average kids? Correct! 3 stars, though that still seems too high... so... there's my 2 star rating. I can't believe I didn't read the other Yelp reviews before I stopped here for lunch. But, I was cold, hungry, hungover, and thirsty for beer. My beer belly pulled me towards the bar, without Yelping - big mistake, belly. You will be sorry soon enough and suffer the same fate as other Yelps, who tried to warn you. I ordered the turkey sandwich and the bread was old & dry. Here's a secret kitchen staff: just pop it in the toaster - no one will know. The slaw was almost all liquid, except for the sparse cabbage. The burger was just as good as any pre-cooked burger can be. That being, it's cooked meat between two buns. At least, the beer is actually delicious. There are tons of varieties. Definitely only come here for drinks and save the money and pop over to one of the 20 fast food stands at the airport.

I do like Boulder beer, and I like this little spot in the airport. My main gripe is that it's before security, which may limit the time you spend here, but it makes for a nice spot to chill while you wait. I actually hung out here after I landed and was waiting to be picked up. The bartender was friendly, gave me a couple of tasters of his recommendations, and knew what he was talking about when it came to beer. He also kindly allowed me to plug my phone in behind the bar when my charge died. I didn't eat here, but I sure didn't mind the smell of fresh bratwurst wafting through the air, and the green chili looked pretty tasty when I saw it served. Not a bad spot to pass the time at DIA.

Beer was tasty (all brewed in Boulder, CO)...we had the India Brown Ale and the IPA. Both were delicious and got the job done. The service was a touch spotty- it was VERY clear the bartender wanted to go home (around 9 to 9:30), even though the bar was supposedly open till 11pm. Also, there was an odd incident about the kitchen being closed (as this one couple walked up), then re-open again (about 10 minutes later). Ironically, about 30 seconds before the couple walked up, we were offered the opportunity to order food. Once again, the staff wanted to leave and stat. Who cares about the 5 flights worth of people on red-eyes. There were probably 5-7 tables in the 25 table venue, so it was not empty. Either way, beer was good, service was meh. It's an airport. We had no food. FYI- Craft micro-brew drafts (16oz) at an airport were $6.75.

For an airport bar, this place is pretty stellar. You know, I drive past that packed and overflowing cell phone waiting area and always wonder why people would sit there in the cold rather than pay a couple bucks to park in the temp parking and enjoy a beer while waiting for their party. This is a bar that is outside security and is a fantastic place to wait for an incomming flight, or to hang while your bags take over an hour to get unloaded. Let's be honest, travelling, especially during the holidays, kind of sucks. This place make's it better. A friend and I grabbed a brew or two here while waiting for another friend's late flight. It was nice to sit rather than drive around in circles. They have several of their standard brews here as well as seasonals. I am partial to the MoJo, for obvious reasons. When our friend's plane finally arrived, he came to join us and wait for his bags to get unloaded over a beer with us. Service is a bit slow and it will take a while to get your check, but it's an airport bar and this will happen in any bar that is busy. Just think ahead and order your next brew before your first is done and think ahead on the check. Overall, great place to escape the travelling stress for a little while.

The one star is for the bartender who is nice and efficient. But let's get to the point. These were the most miserable nachos I've had in a long time. Maybe the last time I had nachos this Shitty was when I was in a movie theatre treating myself to a Shitty movie. Nobody should have to feel the slimy orange cheese on their tongue. The kind that should only be found at gas stations next to greasy hot dogs. Nobody. It's a terrible terrible experience. Tri colored chips. Canned pickles. And a dollop of sour cream. The only thing that was close to its natural state were the chopped GMO tomatoes. Moral... Come here to drink the great beer. That's it Shortly after writing this I found a French fry in the nachos. Brilliant! They dont even serve French fries here.

1.5 stars. Six of us (4 adults and two little people) didn't have to wait to sit at about 4pm, but they pushed two 2-tops together and crammed us in near the entry. Service was okay, not great, not terrible. I had a couple of sips of beer and they were fine (I generally like Boulder Beer). The low rating is for the decidedly mediocre Cobb salad - a mix of stale iceberg, like the American salad mix you get from a big bag at the store, with a tiny bit of field greens on top. The paltry poultry portion was cooked adequately - not awful, but not good. As for the rest of the accoutrements, apparently the chef couldn't be bothered to chop that day. I expect a Cobb to have egg SLICES, tomato SLICES, bleu cheese crumbles, olives, and whatever else they feel like adding, and this salad had a whole hardboiled egg (again, not awful, not great), whole tomatoes, a very few cheese crumbles, and olives - none of it tossed together, so I had to finish the prep myself. I'm pretty sure I paid for them to do that. I was too busy with my culinary activities to notice anyone else's food, but the kids ate the sliders (NO KIDS MENU - not a bad thing necessarily, so I got them the sliders, which looked mediocre but the kids ate 'em up) Future trips to the Denver Airport will NOT include any stop here, except to recount how terrible their Cobb salad is!

Excellent beer, terrible food! I got the Mojo IPA which was a perfect balance of hoppy and malty tastes; however the chopped pork sliders were next to unedible. The buns were stale and the cook apparently didn't care enough to reheat them properly. There was no cheese and almost non-existent coleslaw - whereas the menu promised bed of coleslaw in the description. Meat was rubbery and almost unhealthy. Stay away from food, stick to beer!!!

Beer was awesome!!!!!! 5 stars***** Service was not great, thanks to Rusty! Seemed we were a bother, and that it was more important to pour his own drink vs. ours! Come on when all you have to do is pick up beers from the bar (poured by the bartender) and walk 10 feet to deliver them why not smile and act like you give a crap about awesome customer service. For this No Tip! Now you have a reason to be a sour puss. *Just a side note I am always a great tipper!!!!! We only had beer so I can't really judge the food but what was coming out to other tables looked like your average pub fare.

This restaurant does NOT allow luggage inside the restaurant!!! I never got to have a beer or food because they told us we would have to leave our luggage outside of the restaurant (unattended). We fly a lot and I've never had this happen before. To top it off, the waitress was very rude about it. I was furious that a restaurant in an airport would not allow our luggage, and they wanted us to leave it unattended! Not going to happen. I will never go back to this place. Thankfully DIA has an amazing restaurant, Root Down, that I will return to instead.

The good, the bad and...well, 0.k., nothing actually ugly. The good is: bartender...he recommended a few beers based on what I told him I liked and what I was interested in eating. The beer: Planet Porter...not bad. Nothing to write home to Mother about but decent. The Bad...that would be the food. I orderd a burger..nothing difficult. It came cooked to within an inch of it's life. Dry and without a hint of pink. Not juice to be detected at all! The 2 little sad strips of bacon barely added any taste at all. They rely on the BBQ sauce. No cheese...i'd honestly have to check the menu again but I think they forgot my cheese! I small little wilted piece of lettuce (again, to his credit, the bartender brought me some fresher, crisper lettuce upon request). Then...they DONT have french fries. Seriously...who serves a burger without an option of fries!! Instead, I got really weak, stale chips with a bottled salsa. I'm guessing Pace. I wish I'd tried the BBQ place down the terminal. Maybe their other items are better but...don't waste your money on the burger.

I ate there at 11am on 2/12 and left my scarf on the booth. When I called about 4 hours later and asked them if they found my scarf the person who answered the phone said "hey X, I know you have it in your purse." Needless to say they couldn't "find" it. I went back to the restaurant on my return to Denver and they sent me to lost and found. The people who work at this restaurant clearly stole my scarf and have very little integrity, as they did not turn it into lost and found. I'm disappointed in the character of the people who work there. If they don't have enough respect to turn in an expensive scarf that was accidentally left, I would recommend eating elsewhere in the airport and not patronizing this business and supporting the employee's thievery behavior.

I am sorry to report there was nothing endearing about the Boulder Beer Tap House. Unfortunately the experience was still memorable for all the wrong reasons. My daughter and I were traveling through Denver recently, it was evening time and after normal dinner hours but we were hungry and needed to eat. After looking around the Tap house seemed the best choice for a sit down meal, it was not long after I sat down that I regretted my choice. I have done a fair amount of traveling and have (what I think) are pretty low expectations of restaraunts in airports and this place didn't even meet those. The place was not clean, the waitress was slow, inattentive, and unhappy. You could feel her apathy about our experience hanging in the air, she was not quite rude but so inattentive that she easily convinced me she did not care. The menu was limited and the food was below average but I may have forgiven that if the service was beter, after all I was in an airport. I mistakenly assumed that there would be no sit down meal options once I went through security, I was wrong and wished I had waited. On top of the bad service and poor food quality it wasn't cheap and my stomach was upset for the entire flight (coincidence?). I hate writing bad reviews and maybe they had a really really bad night, this may be a good place for a beer at the bar but I would not recommend taking the chance if food or service is important to you.

I would only go here for the beer. The food is horrible! it is all precooked and then reheated in a microwave. This location licenses the name from BBC and sell their beer along with the large name beers. I have spoke to the actual BBC about this and they pretty much don't care that the airport location is giving them a bad name.

I ate here with an old friend on layover. It's really the perfect place for a leisurely lunch -- small, with a bar, and overlooking the TSA cubical wall. Nice view! I ordered a turkey sandwich on sour dough and my friend had a burger. Since they don't have fries here, we both got potato salad. The meat in my sandwich was standard roast turkey but it came with a helping of dried cranberries that complimented it perfectly. Unfortunately, the untoasted bread was also a couple days old, and was just plain dry. Service was slow, which is particularly odd at an airport location where everyone is in a hurry. But maybe since you're about to put up with the TSA, Boulder Beer will seem efficient in comparison. Meh.

  • P M.

    (1)
  • Jonathan P.

Very solid beers, and a serviceable space. It's not superlative - and honestly, neither are Boulder's beers, in my limited experience - but it's within an airport, it's local, and it's offerings are leagues better than anything New Belgium brews. In short: it was exactly what I needed it to be whilst killing time awaiting an AF to downtown.

It is called "Tap House", not fine food place. You come here foe good beer while you wait for your flight or wait for friends to arrive. Service is good and the food was fine. That is what they advertise.... so enjoy it.

The beer is very good. I got the Santa Fe salad which was decent however it was mostly iceberg lettuce, which I found to be disappointing. If it were a mixed green fresh salad it would have been way better. It was very filling which is good because its a bit pricey but its to be expected at an airport.

Definitely only come here for drinks and save the money and pop over to one of the 20 fast food stands at the airport.

a tap house at an airport, what the heck?! maybe I'm just disadvantaged living in the east, with endless dunkin' donuts and burger kings ad nauseum, but this comes as a pleasant surprise with four hours to kill before my flight out of Denver International back to godforsaken New Jersey. swell selection of craft brews with diversity to spare, I had the buffalo gold and a sweaty betty, which didn't fail to satisfy. also chowed on the brat they offered and loved the perfectly soft/chewey bun and kraut. ambiance made me forget I was at an airport and never got so loud that I couldn't concentrate on reading flipbook articles or writing reviews of the aces I'd visited in the past week on vacation in colorado. gary, my bartender/server, was very attentative and even engaged in some genuine discussion about classic television, celebrity encounters, and literature. great guy. if you need a place to relax while waiting for a flight, there are worst options than boulder beer, for sure. didn't even care about cost, which ain't bad by any stretch ($23 for the brat and 2 pints). check it out!

Yuck!

Eating at DIA sucks if you are trying to find a place that is outside of the terminals to hang out for a while. With a beer menu that's practically larger than the one for food, and considering the options... this would be my recommendation. I had a beer marinated brat.

Not a bad spot to pass the time at DIA.

a tap house at an airport, what the heck?! maybe I'm just disadvantaged living in the east, with endless dunkin' donuts and burger kings ad nauseum, but this comes as a pleasant surprise with four hours to kill before my flight out of Denver International back to godforsaken New Jersey. swell selection of craft brews with diversity to spare, I had the buffalo gold and a sweaty betty, which didn't fail to satisfy. also chowed on the brat they offered and loved the perfectly soft/chewey bun and kraut. ambiance made me forget I was at an airport and never got so loud that I couldn't concentrate on reading flipbook articles or writing reviews of the aces I'd visited in the past week on vacation in colorado. gary, my bartender/server, was very attentative and even engaged in some genuine discussion about classic television, celebrity encounters, and literature. great guy. if you need a place to relax while waiting for a flight, there are worst options than boulder beer, for sure. didn't even care about cost, which ain't bad by any stretch ($23 for the brat and 2 pints). check it out!

Yuck!

I would only go here for the beer. The food is horrible! it is all precooked and then reheated in a microwave. This location licenses the name from BBC and sell their beer along with the large name beers. I have spoke to the actual BBC about this and they pretty much don't care that the airport location is giving them a bad name.

I had some time to kill before my flight a couple weeks ago and I'm always passing by this place when I fly out of Denver, so I decided to finally try it. I found my experience and the food here to be average. The people were nice enough and service was fast, but I just wasn't super impressed with the food (especially based on the price). I had a turkey & craisin sandwich on wheat bread with mashed potatoes - I did actually like the mashed potatoes and gravy, but the sandwich was kind of just average, nothing super special about it. The beer was good though, and was a decent price - I had a pint of the Shake, which is a really tasty chocolate porter. Overall, I probably won't come back here, as I'd much rather get a jamba juice smoothie (it's a drink and a meal in one, for me anyways).

  • H. Edwin A.

Your choices are extremely limited out here - and this place knows it. The tables are full because there's nowhere else to go, NOT because the food is good. I've been here a few times, and have never been impressed. This time, waiting to pick up family, I ordered the guacamole and chips. The chips were terrible, guacamole was horribly bland, and the salsa is straight from the mild mild jar. I didn't eat any of it, left it on the bar, and the bartender never even asked why I didn't eat any of it. Maybe she's used to people saying they suck. Get yourself a beer, and then get on the little train to your flight already! There are plenty a better options on the other side of security.

This bar is a good place to kill some time before catching your flight at the airport. However, if you're looking for a tap house that offers a wide array of beer, this is not the place you are looking for. Very few beer options. Stop in if you have the time at the airport, but no need to make this a destination stop

    (2)
  • Kamryn C.

Good place to grab a beer if you're waiting to pick people up in the airport terminal. There always seems to be a place to sit, and the service is quick. The beer list is filled with standbys and the occasional seasonal, rotating tap. The prices are reasonable, especially for an airport.

Good place to grab a beer if you're waiting to pick people up in the airport terminal. There always seems to be a place to sit, and the service is quick. The beer list is filled with standbys and the occasional seasonal, rotating tap. The prices are reasonable, especially for an airport.

Food was excellent, service was expeditious, and beers/alcohol (according to those that did drink!) were good. Salads were plain and used iceberg lettuce; otherwise they were good. Great place (really the only place) to watch a basketball game within DIA!

Meh.
