Having tried a similar place in a hipster neighborhood in San Diego with mixed results, I was weary to try this one. But, what can I say, I'm a sucker for a good popsicle. Yelp gets it right again! Thanks to all the yelp postings, I found this place and decided to give it a try. The popsicles were delicious. We tried that coconut nutella and the blueberry cardamon. Both were very delicious and very different. What was shocking was that the popsicles were so ice cold that they were not even close to melting while we were eating them in 85+ degree weather. I'm always thinking that popsicles are drippy and messy and these surprisingly weren't. We were also given a sample of tomato basil, which was also unexpectedly delicious. The patio was a great relaxing place to eat the popsicles. $3 per pop may seem pricey, but given the unique flavors and care taken in making them, it's well worth it. The owner is also very kind and genuinely interested in his customers' satisfaction. Within 2 blocks of the light rail and in a cute walkable neighborhood. Give it a try! You won't be disappointed.

Yum. This place is a unique little shop that offers incredible popsicles on Pearl. I stopped by around 3:15pm on a Saturday and found plenty of two hour parking along the street (and right in front of the store). When I went in, there were two other people grubbing down on some fantastic looking sandwiches. The popsicle flavors are on a board when you walk in. I tried the coconut Nutella and my sister tried the peach chamomile. The coconut Nutella was not as chocolatey as I had expected, but found the coconut and Nutella to be well balanced as I continued to eat the popsicle. The peach chamomile was very light in flavor and extremely refreshing. The popsicles are each $3. Boozey ones are $5. The owner was extremely friendly and was really laid back. He's always working on different flavor combinations, so stop by frequently to try all of them! I know I will. No shame. They also have sandwiches and soups here, which I have yet to try, so I'll be back soon to try those!

Such a unique popsicle shop in the Denver area! I stopped by on a hot day over the summer and found plenty of two hour street parking around the area. As I walked in, I definitely felt the love with all of the friendly greetings by the staff. There are a ton of different flavor combinations, including some wacky-sounding ones, such as blackberry goat cheese or coconut nutella, that change each day depending on the availability. I was hesitant to try them, but the owners nail it with the balance of the flavors. Each popsicle I tried was delicious and refreshing, even with the unique mix of ingredients. There are new flavors being made every week, so plenty of (good) surprises await with every popsicle. There is also a savory menu that combines a lot of healthy ingredients together that will have to be a must try next time I am there.

First off, the staff and owner are super welcoming. Place isn't even in my neighborhood, i've only visited once, and it still feels like the shop around the corner. They have over 700 different flavors of pops that rotate regularly. So, though they might not have the flavor you love this week, they will have something new (and likely as good if not better). I tried 3 pops, the Coconut Curry, Coconut Nutella, and Blackberry Goat-cheese. All were amazing, but I liked them from best to 3rd best in the order listed. Also had the pulled pork sandwich with mango on a french baguette - My advice: don't let the food's delicious flavor overcome your senses and send you into a feeding frenzy. Focus your mind, exercise restraint, and enjoy each bite. Also, get the combo - their fresh juice is awesome.

Delicious! So unique and what fantastic customer service! Christopher, the owner, is so welcoming and greeted us and everyone else with a warm friendly hello. We each ordered The Divine Swine sandwich combo, an aiko pop and a fruit gummy. Everything was delicious and fresh. I've read some of the reviews here on Yelp which was what brought us here and boy did it live up to its reputation. Definitely try the Coconut Curry Pop. It's cold and spicy at the same time. We'll be back and bringing more people with us next time! Thank you for the great experience!

I'm gonna follow suit with the other reviews and say this place was pretty damn good. I had the smoke pork sandwich with some kind of sweet chutney. It was a perfect harmony of smokey, heat and sweet. My wife had the bird. One of the workers who I presume was the owner said he hasn't changed this sandwich in a long time. On a side note (the person who I assume was the owner) was super helpful and brought a good energy to the eatery. Lastly the popsicles......I had the vanilla pineapple and it resulted in my mind getting blown. Overall, this felt like a boutique and everything was made just for me. I will be back

I absolutely love going to Aiko pops!! Although they have tons of amazing flavors, I always stick to my all time fave cucumber sesame. It's super refreshing and the sesame adds a unique twist. The texture of their pops are perfect and not super icy!! They also have a cute patio in the back with bright murals on the walls, sidewalk chalk, and games! This spot is becoming a weekly habit for sure!!

Was here a couple of weeks ago after we missed them at the South Pearl Farmer's Market. Definitely worth the few block walk on a hot Sunday. I had the Strawberry Balsamic - sweet and savory...delish! We also tried Chocolate-Pineapple and while I thought it was great, my 11 year old wasn't a fan.

  • elaine s.

Thanks Yelpers for another great find! This place was awesome. Of course the Popsicles were delish. We didn't try the sandwiches but that gives me another reason to come back for more. Super close to a light rail station and best of all kid friendly! Toys and chalk on the back patio and they can make PB & J or a grilled cheese for the kiddos.

Great concept...amazing popsicles. But what makes it even better ...the owner. He's about as cool and sweet as the fare he sells.

I stopped in here one sunny afternoon after seeing all the great yelp reviews. I had The Ocean sandwich combo. Sandwich, chips & unlimited Aqua Fresca! I needed to get some work done so I sat on the back patio with my laptop. The lady working was very friendly and helpful. The sandwich was delicious and I love that they carry Zapps chips. I can't wait to try the pops next time I come by!! GREAT atmosphere.

If you don't know about this place and you're thinking, "A popsicle shop? Who cares?," then you will probably expire joyless and alone, because you have already pre-judged more incorrectly than your feeble imagination could possibly handle. Well, it's a good thing you're reading this, because not only do they have a rotating menu of a dozen frozen pops of wild flavor combinations (including things like Lavender Lemonade and Coconut Curry), but also a selection of delicious sandwiches (and also soups, though I haven't tried any of them). Today I got the Divine Swine, a sandwich with roast pork, sriracha mayo, and peach chutney on a hoagie roll, and have to assert that it is aptly named. If you get the combo with chips you also get unlimited agua fresca, which was mango mojito today. Top notch stuff.

THIS PLACE IS BOMBBBB - i really wanted to try something new the other day, get outta the house, stretch my legs... So a buddy n myself ventured down to AikoPops and got to meet Chris the owner and the other fellas Jordan and Jackson that work there... Awesome crew of people working here - first and foremost The icepops are crazy awesome - i got a strawberry balsamic and a blackberry marscapone... If i wasnt going to the movies after I woulda bought 10 of these and brought them home for systematic sampling over the next few days (prob few hours)... The sandwhich board looked awesome also and was informed everything was 100% made by Chris n crew, nothing coming from anywhere else... Even the bread... Really excited to try this stuff next time im there... I will be taking people here as long as I live in Denver.

Aikopops was one of the first places I added to my "must try" list on a recent trip to Denver. I waited until almost the last day to try this place, but I am so, so glad I stopped by. Upon walking in, you're immediately greeted by a sweet, attractive lady behind the counter who enthusiastically tells you all about their pops, popular flavors, and helps you decide on a flavor. The pops are lined up behind a glass freezer, pretty and vibrant. Some of their flavors sound a bit whacky, but after trying two pops, I am sure they are damn good. I chose the coconut lychee date, their last one, and the pretty girl starts telling me about how the date in the pop is imported. My friends and I sit down and eat our pops and it is honestly one of the best pops I have ever had. It was bursting with a combination of both lychee and coconut, and the date was somehow soft and melts in your mouth instead of being hard and frozen inside the pop. We chatted with a couple of the employees some more and they told us more about the flavors and the business owner. It's very clear the employees love their jobs and are passionate about the business and what they sell. Of all the ice cream / popsicle shops I've been to, Aikopops definitely tops the ranks. Great job on educating your employees to share in your business model, training them well, and most importantly, producing top-notch products. Anyone who hasn't tried Aikopops is missing out!

So cool and so simple. Denver needed a basic sandwich shop like this, although their food is anything but basic. Their combo is only $11 for sandwich, chips and homemade Agua fresca. With free refills! Awesome place, small but plenty of street parking. Open late for a sandwich shop, all around I'll be back for more!

To be honest with you, I went because I needed to check for myself why this place has a 5-star rating still after 70+ reviews. Indeed is worth every star. Small local business owned by one of the funniest and nicest owners we have met. He really has poured his heart and soul into this little eatery/ice pop place. Everything is made in-house and it tastes good. We loved the outside patio with the cool graffiti. Patio totally dog friendly. He gives the patron all the attention and best customer service, from picking up sandwich wrapping to giving dog treats and water to our pup. Kudos and thank you for the good food.

I split "the bird" and "the divine swine" with my girlfriend ... So Bomb, especially the bird. I was helped by a sweet gal with red hair who was super cool and welcoming. Then we shared a strawberry balsamic popsicle which i totally enjoyed. My taste buds were satisfied, and my heart is pleased with the friendliness.

I really wanted to give AikoPops five stars. It's so cute and quirky and the menu items (sandwiches, popsicles) were all very appealing. Parking is street side but ample. Service was friendly and informative too. Unfortunately I just couldn't justify five stars because the food was good but not great (with the exception of the watermelon juice, which was delicious). The turkey sandwich didn't have the right meat-to-slaw ratio for me and the bread was a little on the dry side, though the flavor was good and portion was about right for the price. For my popsicle I had a lavender lemonade bar. It tasted ok but was sort of watered down - the lemon flavor was present but not strong and I couldn't taste the lavender at all. I really want to like this place so I will probably try again - I may have just made the wrong menu selections for my tastes. It's definitely one of the most original restaurants I've been to in a long time and they clearly put a lot of thought into their offerings - I just wasn't that into it on my first visit.

Wanted to try a new spot out in Denver and this was one to remember. They have friendly staff and always helpful. They explained everything on their menu very well. I know it's a Popsicle shop but we went for the food. Which was delicious! I had the bird and my friend had the holy cow. Great job!! Will put this on the list for a favorite for sure! Need to come back and try the Popsicles! The lemonade was amazing too on a very hot day :)

If you are staying in the downtown Denver area this place is a must. Only took us 10 minutes It's not only about the pops, you have to try the Holy Cow sandwich. Absolutely incredible. We tried several pops but our favorite pop with the vanilla coconut. If you are a vanilla fan you will love this flavor. Also the owner is great. Very passionate about his business. You can tell he puts a ton of thought in all of his products. Chris, thanks for a great meal, we loved it.

Awesome stuff! 4 sandwiches and 4 pops made every finicky member of my fam happy. The only reason I didn't give a 5 star was that the single dollar sign was deceptive. The pops are very reasonably priced, the total cost of the sandwiches took me by surprise. I'll still go back. That's a definite! They slow roast their own turkey and provide fresh ingredients for everything.

Perfect meal for a large group on a warm sunny day in Denver. Really, I think it would be perfect any time, but this is what I experienced. We called ahead with about 15 people and they were ready for us. The staff was memorably friendly and accommodating. Though some sandwiches took longer than most, we were enjoying time in the sun on the back patio while we waited and overall were very satisfied with our visit. I enjoyed the bird, stuffed (ha) with turkey, spicy mustard, brussels sprouts with bacon and maple slaw. It was a divine mix of sweet, savory, spicy and tangy. Maybe a little too much mustard for my taste though. I forced myself to save half for later, mostly so I would have room for a popsicle. You can't leave without one! The flavors are unique and enticing. I ordered the avocado orange and as an avocado fanatic I can say the true flavor was allowed to shine. We also sampled each flavor of their fruit pate (I did say we were a large group) and I especially remember the guava. So happy I just moved nearby to enjoy AikoPops on a (very) regular basis this summer and the rest of the year.

You think this is just a Popsicle place? You are thinking wrong. "The bird" sandwich was awesome. Got the combo which comes with Agua fresco (a less sweet lemonade) which was also delish. Great customer service and everything is made in house.

The popsicles are to die for!! Amazing selection and nothing you have tried before. This isn't you normal neighborhood ice cream truck selection!!! Will have to go back and try the sandwiches which they smoke all their meat in house!

5 solid stars for Aiko pops! I've only ever tried their popsicles--so this review is based solely on those. They are "real" adult-like popsicles with sophisticated flavors. Someone brought them to a picnic at our neighbors, so we were able to try a variety of flavors. There was a basil pop that I loved, and a coconut one that my daughter went crazy over. I suspect there isn't really a bad flavor, just variations of good and super-awesome. It is definitely a great light summertime treat option. Thank you, Aiko, for making a grown up version of a childhood favorite.

My girlfriend and I have been here three out of the last five weekends, and this place is quickly becoming our favorite sandwich shop... The sandwiches are made fresh and the rotating menu will keep your taste buds happy! The owner is super friendly and a riot, and if you leave without trying a popscicle, you're doing it wrong. This place is not to be missed if you're in the mood for a tasty sandwich made quickly and fresh. Looking forward to many more in the future!

I've been meaning to try their sandwiches, because I heard they're amazing. However, every time I stop in, I always buy one of their crazy popsicles. I've also tried their homemade lemonade, and it's delicious. Try this place out!

Went after reading the reviews and the atmosphere and service were amazing. However, the sandwiches, while decent, were hardly worthy of the hefty price tag. Masterpiece Deli and Mr. Lucky's are still top picks in Denver.

I love this place and I hope it never closes. Crazy and inventive flavor combinations- it's one of my favorite places to go in the summer. The customer service is superb! The owner is as nice as can be and has often thrown in an extra pop or 2 on several different occasions (usually when I'm having a hard time choosing between two different flavors).

High quality popsicles! Stumbled upon this cute shop when I was looking for something sweet. Staff was very friendly and informative about the popsicles being sold. I opted for the Coconut Vanilla popsicle although they have some interesting combinations as well as plain chocolate popsicle if you just crave something familiar. I was impressed by the popsicle I bought. They used vanilla bean paste rather than just your usual vanilla extract to provide the vanilla flavoring. Considering my love for baking I was happy they were using high quality ingredients (since I can't afford to buy most of them!) to make their popsicles but at the same time they are simple and they don't use weird chemicals for preservative purposes or to artificially enhance the flavors. Can't wait to try more!

I visited Denver for the first time last weekend and researched cool food places I needed to visit. I chose to visit AikoPops on Saturday afternoon after I ran a marathon. It was a wonderful experience and I'm so glad I went! Christopher was there and I was able to talk to him about the business which was so interesting. I didn't expect that the shop would have sandwiches as well. I got The Bird and it was delicious. I love that they have a sandwich with Brussels sprouts! The mustard used was a bit strong for my taste but that's just a personal thing. I got a pop to eat at the shop and went with the flavor recommended by Christopher. I also got a pop to go. Both were delicious. I only wish I lived in Denver so I could become a regular. However, I've told my Denver friends about it so at least they can take advantage. :)

Such a cool little place to that really made my day trip in Denver! The owner is such a cool guy who made the experience so much fun. My friends and I sampled most of the Popsicle flavors and they were all great. I especially loved the avocado orange. The mango jalapeño was really incredible, to bad there was only 1 left and we all had to share it! And when it is too cold for popsicles, their soups are awesome too. They will be open all winter selling soups and sandwiches, which are all made in house and cooked for hours. It really is delicious. Go try it, you will love it!

Wowee that was an amazing lunch! Bf and I decided to be cutesy for once (*vomits a little*) and go for a picnic in the park. Really, I just wanted to watch the dogs play in the sun. We swung by AikoPops to pick up a couple sandwiches for our picnic. The place is really cute with some indoor seating and a patio in the back. They have all sorts of fancy Popsicles that look refreshing, perfect for the hot sunny day. We ordered the roasted turkey sandwiches ("The Bird"). It comes with shredded brussels sprouts and bacon slaw, and the sandwich can be served toasted or cold. The lemonade of the day was wild berry lemonade (?). I'm not sure what's in it but it was like crack! Delicious, refreshing crack on ice. We definitely took advantage of the free refill. While we were eagerly awaiting our sandwiches, the owner offered us a taste of the guava rose gummy (or fruit chew?). It's made with pure fruit (no gelatin) and tasted like summer. Yep, that's the best description I can come up with. I don't know how else to explain that sweet, intense burst of fruity flavor followed by a subtle scent of rose. Roughly 10-15 minutes later, we were on our merry way with our turkey sandwiches and crack lemonade to our cutesy picnic in the park. We're so glad we found this gem! The turkey sandwiches were fresh, delicious and anything but boring. The New Orleans style kettle chips complemented the sandwiches really well. You can really tell that they pour their heart into this little sandwich and Popsicle shop; everything was made with lots of love (awww...)... Alright that was a tad dramatic. The point is: every little detail was thoughtfully considered and passionately, flawlessly executed. I hope they stick around!

Great Little spot, Friendly service, excellent and creative pops. The Sandwiches were some incredible, tasty and the perfect snack. They even took care of our dog with water, treats, pops and lots of love. It's the type of small buisness that makes you feel good to support.

I'll upgrade to five stars as soon as I'm back again. BUT, I've only had one popsicle. One delicious popsicle, but I can't five star it on just that, can I? Anyway, coconut banana popsicle was yummy--me and the one year old fought over it. Good atmosphere, friendly employee, can't wait to try more before the summer's up!

Pure genius! Who doesn't love Popsicles? Watermelon Mojito. Blood Orange Lemonade. Cucumber mint. They should capitalize on the slogan..."Aiko Pops...saving lives one Popsicle at a time." The sandwiches are also equally amazing - The Bird and the new Bahn Mi are insane! It's also a must to get a side of VooDoo chips and a cup of Agua Fresca!

I live right around the corner from this place. Best sandwiches ever! Get the Bird! Christopher the owner is very professional and makes the best food. I personally love the Pate De Fui. I am addicted!

Such Yum! If you have never been here you're missing out. My son and I both love this place! The Owner and staff are all so friendly. The owner even took the time to show my son how to use a kendama. They really understand flavor profiles and it comes through in the food. I highly recommend the bird. My son who doesn't drink soda loves the Agua Fresca because it's just the right amount of sweet.

These pops are delish! Very much novelty pops, good to have at parties (esp the adult-oriented ones). The brick and mortar location has a back patio area that's pretty cool--it's a great place to take the kids when the weather is nice. The owners pretty cool too.

Passing through on our way back to California, my wife picked this place because she thought it was Japanese owned. My wife is Japanese. Alas we meet Chris, the owner. The atmosphere was awesome... Great conversation. The lemonade was amazing!!! Then came the sandwiches.... Completely amazing!!!! He takes pride in his shop... He then gave us a sample of his pops.... WOW!!!!!!!! Good stuff. Only problem is that I can't visit until I pass through Denver again. Thank you Chris!!!

My new neighborhood favorite! Popsicles are unreal, but the sandwiches are out of this world. The Bird alone gets me to trek through the neighborhood in freezing temps. Unbelievably fresh ingredients, super friendly staff and owner, just a great place to be. Bonus homemade lavender lemonade! Who has that? No one. You guys rock it!

We were so excited to check out local restaurants when we moved to the Platte Park area. After seeing some of the reviews on this site, AikoPop was a must visit and it has yet to disappoint. It's a small and cozy place with a great staff. I agree with other reviewers that the owner Christopher absolutely makes it. The first time we stopped in, we ordered two sandwiches and while we were waiting he let us try a popsicle - Blue Cheese and Honey. I was hesitant but it was phenomenal. The rest of our first experience went like that, good conversation, great food and constant new and yummy things to try. The agua frescas are incredible and the soups are some of the best in town - I recommend at least tasting them each time you stop in. Christopher is always willing to let you taste and tell you what's coming up soon. The "Cured" is my favorite sandwich of the few I have tried so far, I still crave the broccoli smoked gouda soup and I think the coconut nutella is my favorite popsicle. Be sure to stop in - so delicious and always great to catch up!

A friend and I stopped in to Aiko Pops recently and were pleasantly surprised by this tiny addition to south Pearl St. Aside from 7-11, Duffeyroll Cafe(never tried) and ArtYard(a longtime Denver classic) this block is fairly residential and sleepy so parking was not an issue the evening we went. Of course if ArtYard is having an opening such as First Friday, parking may be difficult. Bonus points for walking. We each had a turkey sandwich. My friend wanted to keep things simple and was very pleased. I chose the turkey with shaved Brussels sprouts which was decent but under flavored, slightly dry and way too much bread to turkey ratio for me. I give 2 to 3 stars for my sandwich but since my friend was happy and the pops were tasty, the 4 stars stay. On to the most important thing here--the POPS. There were lots of flavor choices making it difficult to choose because many sounded quite enticing. I had the Rose Plum and it tasted like eating a rose and a plum. Eating a rose doesn't sound so great to me but it was deliciously flavorful and refreshing. (a flavored fruit ice pop-not creamy) My friends choice was Coconut Nutella and it was gone and replaced by a smile in minutes-possibly seconds. I was too focused on mine to pay too much attention. If you're in the area, I would say definitely worth a stop for a pop!

LOVE AIKOPOPS! There are three things that this place has, Quality, Consistency, and Tons of Flavor in everything that they create. Delicious sandwiches, soups, Aiko Popsicles, and more!!! Great atmosphere and awesome staff. Go in and taste something new. You won't be disappointed.

We stopped by aikopops after a long day of skiing in the mountains. I had the cured sandwich which was delicious; however, I think the guy who made it put too much of the spicy blend in it. He claimed it has a bit of heat and I enjoy spicy food and I would describe it as a lot of heat (almost too much). We cooled down with some pops afterwards.

I've been wanting to try AikoPops for a long time now. I'm a huge fan of gourmet popsicles in interesting flavors. In fact, I went out of my way almost daily whenever in Nashville on business to get delicious pops from a place called Las Paletas. Whenever I'd talk about those delicious pops it was inevitable that someone would tell me, "well you need to try AikoPops." Sadly our paths never crossed when they were out and about at different events. Now that they have a brick and mortar storefront, I think I'll end up being a regular customer. And, I'm kicking myself for not making it in sooner. Today I finally remembered AikoPops while in the neighborhood and a friend and I decided to try them out after breakfast. Friend had the coconut banana nutella. And, yes, it was as good as the name would imply. You could taste each of the three flavors. I'm thankful I got to try a few bites. I opted for the coconut lemon myrtle. I'm a coconut addict and a lemon addict, so it seemed appropriate. It was definitely a different taste, sort of like sweet sticky rice. While tasty, it was not as good as the coconut banana nutella - though my friend might disagree. The small storefront is cozy. The service is friendly. But the best part of the locale is the lovely patio out back where you can sit under a nice umbrella and enjoy your pop. Along with popsicles, they also serve soup. And, coming soon grilled cheese sandwiches. Yum - a grilled cheese with soup, and then a popsicle. Yeah, I'm in popsicle love.

Aiko Pops, I like I like you alot till I AM A FAN... from the first bite till the last... Unique Artisan Popsicles with lots of flavor you offer when I lay eyes on you for the very first time during Justice League Street Food (JLSF) Event June 30th 2012. During the JLSF Event, each Popsicles cost $3.00. From what I could recall these were the flavors Aiko Pops offered during that afternoon. * Coconut Raspberry * Kiwi Watermelon * Lavender Lemonade * Apple Blue Cheese * Strawberry Vanilla * Sweet Tomato Basil * Pineapple Jalapeno * Avocado Orange * Blueberry Lemonade * Orange Rhubarb * Mango Cilantro * Coconut Curry to name a few... My personal favorite was the Pineapple Jalapeno. How I wish I could have more and many more... The sweetness of the Pineapple and the Spicyness of the Jalapeno was indeed an AWESOME Combination! My other foodie friends also like the Popsicles you offered that afternoon. Hope to see you again Aiko Pops... You RAWK in My Popsicles World! @108/2012

After first encountering Aiko Pops at a local street festival, I can now officially say I'm addicted to the curious flavors and delicious combinations of ingredients. Try the Avocado Orange. You will not be disappointed. The store has a lovely back patio, perfect for lazy summer afternoons. The owner is incredibly friendly and he can give you more details on how every flavor is concocted. The sandwiches are also amazing, and the 'Cured' is one of my favorites. Love this place!

I almost walked out of Civic Center Eats without getting any ice cream. As I turned around and headed back in, I spied the AikoPops cart. And then I asked myself, "Self, wouldn't a popsicle be just as cool and refreshing on this hot summer day as ice cream, without all of the fat, calories, and guilt?" After a minute of debate, I decided to take my own advice and began to peruse the AikoPops menu. There were quite a few flavors listed on the board and here are some I remember: Cherry Basil, Orange Blueberry, Blueberry Pineapple, Strawberry Balsamic. I chose Watermelon Lime Mint, which is strange for me because I'm not a fan of watermelon or watermelon flavored anything. But I was intrigued and I do think of watermelon as the quintessential summertime fruit. As it turned out, I made exactly the right choice. The watermelon and lime played very well together and perfectly balanced one another, while the mint added a delightful, spicy accent. I did not regret my choice to forgo ice cream for one minute. So if you see the AikoPops cart out and about, or find yourself close to the store, don't pass them by. What a satisfying way to beat the heat at only $3.00 a pop.

I love fun flavored popsicles and I love nice people. Aiko Pops has both. One night while driving home from dinner with friends, I saw that Aiko Pops' storefront had actually opened so I parked and went in. I selected four popsicles to take home: 1 orange avocado, 1 lavender lemonade and 2 Aikoberry. It was when I went to pay that I realized I didn't have my bank card! Panicked, I hoped it was still at the restaurant I was just at. Christopher was sweet enough to offer to look up their number, and when it was confirmed that I had left my card there, he gave me the popsicles and told me I could catch him next time. I came back the next day and paid him the very reasonable $12 and some change for the 4 homemade pops. I really enjoyed all the flavors, but the standout was the orange avocado. I will be back to get that one again and sample additional flavors. I'll make sure to have money in hand.

How have I not been here before until today?! This place is awesome. I drive by the storefront every day, as I work just a few blocks away, and have always been tempted to stop in for lunch but seem to get distracted. Until today. I popped in for lunch and was immediately greeted by incredibly warm, friendly and hilarious staff. I had a great conversation with Christopher about how the store came to be, and various ideas they have for the future. I ordered the Holy Cow - which was a roast beef sandwich (made as a panini as recommended) with gorgonzola, carmelized onion confit, leafy greens and balsamic reduction. Also ordered the tomato bisque which was to die for! Super creamy and full of flavor. The sandwich was one of the best I've had in Denver so far, and I've been looking to find the perfect sandwich since moving here! The best part about my visit was the canteloupe orange limeade - oh my god. I am obsessed. I could drink this every single day and be happy. This is delicious stuff! They also gave me a sample of the sea salt caramel, and this was just stupid amazing. Didn't have time (or room in my belly) to try the pops, but will definitely be back and will be exploring the menu even further! Highly recommended.

Programmed "ice cream" shops into our GPS this afternoon and Aiko Pops came up. We researched a bit (nerd alert, we know!) and found out they were a "unique Popsicle shop" so we decided to give it a shot, and we are SO glad we did! Literally the BEST Popsicle I've ever had in my life...so refreshing and unique! (the lavender lemonade rocked my face off and my boys loved their the carrot mango and strawberry watermelon flavors). Not only were the treats amazing, but the staffers were super cool people and so accommodating! They rolled out the red carpet on the back patio with treats and fresh water for our 2 goldens, shared their personal gummy bears with our 5-year old while he waited on his Popsicle, and helped us with all of our decisions to boot. Then we were blessed to meet Christopher, the owner, a true New Yorker with a heart of gold, a spirit of positivity and a real creative gift for cooking, freezing, and even chalk-making fun (see the back patio! ;0) ha!) My son is already itching to go back...and we will. For sure. With all of our friends!

Best popsicles in town! I usually get the avocado orange, so I did stick with that this time. The boyfriend got the five-spice apple. We've also got the jalapeno mango and other flavors. They never disappoint! So yummy! We stopped by for lunch this time. We got the divine swine and the cured. The sandwiches were so spot on! We also made it a combo with chips and agua fresca. The peach vanilla and raspberry ginger agua fresca are AMAZING! The staff there are all so friendly and helpful. I love this place. Go there! You won't regret it!

Holy mother of all things delicious!! Second time at Aikos pop and this place is amazing! I had the Swine sandwich last time.. And today my bf and I shared the Bird and the Curd. AWESOME!! Wish I would have come here sooner!

The most amazing sandwich and pop shop I've been to. The owner us a true chef to has an awesome talent for mixing flavors in his sandwiches and pops. Definitely going to have to bring all my friends and family to experience this hidden gem.

Really happy that I chose to try out AikoPops. Awesome sandwich menu, creative flavor combos. They get their bread from Trompeau and it really doesn't get much better than that, in my opinion. Solid service. I can't wait to try all of the varieties of pops & pâté de fruit.

Sandwiches and Popsicles were insanely good. The mango jalapeno and nutella pops are highly addictive. I wish they sold these pops in stores. My only complaint is I have to drive all the way up to Denver to get these. You guys need to open a store down south!

Technically, this is an absurdly short period between now and my first review, but guess what?! They now have a permanent location! And I'm quite sleepless because I had a phenomenal time here and must write about it. The Aiko Pops storefront must have launched near the time I left Denver early September. They are the perfect neighborhood restaurant. They have lentil soup (tonight), fruit pate (sample on top the display case), popsicles (currently serving Thanksgiving flavors; imagine sweet potato, maple syrup, and the like), and sandwiches which rotate about every month. They also have a back patio and they host YoYo clubs and Kendama practice groups. Sidenote: what's going on with this Kendama craze? I returned after touring South Pearl on this cold wintry night. Nearly every restaurant was slow at this early dining hour. The owner noticed I was cold and gave me a much appreciated shot of lentil soup. Then I ordered The Cured with smoky bacon, 6 month aged manchego, and primo raspberry habanero jam. Yum! It comes wrapped in paper stamped with the Aiko Pops logo and sealed with a "Made in Colorado sticker. Excepting the manchego, the sandwich probably is. Anyway, the sandwich was delicious, ever more so after I added some Smoky Serrano sauce. I had a great time here. I think you will too. If you haven't visited, go and give it a chance whether sunny, snowy, or rainy. And maybe you can practice your Kendama! Edited to add: I bought 8 out of 9 fruit pates to share at work. From the one boss' reaction "treats for your mouth!", I think they'll be a hit.

Sassy and coming correct. These guys have figured out who they are and love it. Great food good attitude nice atmosphere. And if the granola is too much they can tone it down and just make it meat and bread.

Fantastic place! Stopped in for lunch one afternoon and enjoyed an excellent meal and a great chat with Christopher. The coconut curry soup was great, and so was The Bird. Best part of the meal: the seasonal candy cane popsicles! Make sure to try the pate de fruit, too. I'll definitely be going back!

Best popsicle I've ever had. I tried the peach basil one. My two year old daughter had the strawberry rose flavor and she wolfed it! My boyfriend had gummy candy (really natural and fresh tasting stuff) he raved about it. None of us have ever had anything quite like these dessert items. We also had sandwiches--we tried "The Bird," delicious...also really fresh and well done. My daughter is the toughest critic EVER, but loved her grilled cheese. There were also toys for the kids on their patio, which was really lovely. It was such a nice surprise to go somewhere everyone really enjoyed. These people were very friendly, and it's really apparent they really care about what they're doing. What an incredible job they're doing! I am a huge fan, and will be back for sure despite the 20 minute drive.

PUMPKIN PIE WITH BACON. Shut the front door!! There were seriously chunks of bacon in this pop. And it was pretty much made from vendors at the Pearl St Farmer's market, and if he didn't get what he needed there, he kept it local. Amazing.

What an interesting shop! The pops are terrific, and the food as well! neat alternative to some of the other "shwanky" joints. Grab a sandwich to go!

Went to my first Justice League Food Truck event this weekend and among all the amazing food trucks was this single guy behind a food cart selling Popsicles. On a extremely hot Denver day he had a solid line and some very interesting flavors. I started with the Mango Cilantro, not the best in my opinion, I didn't get an overly cilantro taste which I was hoping for, sadness. I wasn't deterred in my Popsicle quest, so I went back and tried the Blueberry Lemonade. I really enjoyed the Blueberry Lemonade, delicious and frozen treat handmade by the Popsicle Angels. This was not the best part, the best part was the Popsicle Cheryl had, which was the Coconut Curry, I know it sounds crazy but it was the most amazing Popsicle of the night. Aiko Pops is making there mark on Denver and they just found another stalker - ME!

Inventive, delicious, and wholesome. The owner is incredibly hospitable and feels like a friend after first meeting. The atmosphere is fresh and welcoming, with art on the walls and games to play. Unique and one of a kind.

We were walking around the Justice League Food Truck Event at the Denver Design Center. Jenn B says I would like a Popsicle. So we headed on over. These aren't your everyday popsicles. Lavender Lemonade, Mango Cilantro, Kiwi Strawberry and 15 other varieties. Christopher (The Pop Master), the guy who owns, and makes these fabulous ppsicles leans in closer and starts to whisper "Hey, I have some super secret in the cooler back here and it's not on the menu". I lean in a little closer and whisper as well "Okay, what the flavor of this super secret popsicle that isn't on the menu". His response - "It's Sick! - It's Coconut Curry". Really? Coconut Curry - is it the Indian yellow kind of Curry or the Thai green curry? It was Thai Green Curry. I'm like what the hell - worst case scenario is that it's the worst popsicle I've ever had and I've wasted $3. Believe or not it was one of the absolutely best popsicles that I've ever had in my life. I took a bite and immediately tasted the coconut flavor - it wasn't too sweet and wonderful. Then you get the hit of curry. It flows over your tastebuds and the hint of heat caresses the back of your tongue and makes your mouth tingle as it comes to life. You close your eyes and are transported to a tropical island for just a moment. For the whole conversation I felt like I was in a back alley somewhere in downtown and some guy was trying to sell me stereos out of the trunk of his car. "Ppsstt, Pppssstt, lady, I got something for you at rock bottom cost kind of thing". Although he wasn't wearing a trench coast (because it was 95 degrees) I was waiting for him to open his coat and have these hanging on the inside flaps or something. I'm not sure what exactly it is about alleys or why recently I think what I do should be in an alley - perhaps I need to have this analyzed. These are definitely the Rolls Royce of Popsicles.

The sandwiches here are creative and delicious, customer service was fantastic and the Popsicles are incredible! The flavors change but you are sure to have some tasty and adventurous options, if it's available, definitely get the coconut/curry, it's mind blowing in a great way!!

I am so happy to see a different and interesting business moving into this space. It's a great location with a cool back patio, but it wasn't being used right. Aiko Pops is the perfect addition to the neighborhood. What exciting and healthy options for popsicles (pear ginger, strawberry balsamic, watermellon nutella), and the prices are totally reasonable too! Not to mention, that side of S. Pearl St. is missing an ice cream or yogurt shop -- so this is way cooler and fills the void. The sandwiches are also interesting and delicious. I had the grilled cheese with bacon and blackberry serrano jam. It was amazing. The interior is very welcoming and low key, with lots of seats indoors and out, and the owner is behind the counter and super friendly and nice. I will definitely be stopping by often!

Take 1/4 cup Italian, 1/4 cup Irish, 1/4 cup culinary genius, 1/4 cup mad scientist, sprinkle liberally with NYC passion and joie de vivre, freeze at 32F and what do you get? AIKO POPS, baby! This is where the mundane and banal comes to die; you think your taste buds have lived, but if all you know is Popsicle and Otter Pops, you're just fooling yourself. Throw a lip on Coconut Curry or Cucumber Sesame, and if that doesn't illicit a "huzzah!" or "ohmyfreakinggawd!", well... you're not doing very good at life. Chris and Spence are about to take you on a journey that will rock your palette and change the way you view frozen confections forever. After you get done with your education you'll look at plain ol' grape and and boring cherry with disdain and contempt and wonder how you ever got through a summer without Avocado Sriracha making out with your face. VIVA LA AIKO POPS!

Awesome Pops! The most creative and delicious pops I have ever experienced. My favorite two flavors so far are the Avocado Orange and Kiwi Mint pops! The owners are also fun and down to earth. Fan for life..keep them coming......

The best way to describe AikoPops is "life-changing." Their popsicles are really that good. I came across their cart at the Denver Flea in City Park yesterday. My family and I tried the watermelon mojito, coconut lime myrtle and blueberry (can't remember the whole name). They were incredibly refreshing on a hot almost summer day. At that point, we were done with City Park and decided to try the AikoPops brick and mortar store on S Pearl for dinner. Located a few blocks north of the S Pearl restaurant district, I was surprised to find that parking was plentiful and I was able to get a spot directly in front of the store. The interior is warm and inviting with an even larger backyard patio area. There are plenty of toys to keep kids occupied too. We tried sandwiches (The Curd, The Bird and kid's grilled cheese), which were all amazing. The level of thought and detail put into their products is evident by the meticulous hand-packaging. While picking out popsicles for desert, the owner offered us a sample of pâté fruit. My son just happened to lose (and swallow) his first tooth while doing so. The owner was kind enough to offer him a free popsicle. We ended up getting strawberry lavender, avocado orange and raspberry sweet corn. They did not disappoint. I have to say that the avocado orange is my favorite so far. Bottom Line: amazing, high quality popsicles and sandwiches (I haven't tried the soup yet, but I'm confident that it's of the same level). The owner and his team are good hard-working folks and very personable. The cost is surprisingly reasonable for such high quality food. My son recommended that I give them "infinity stars" on Yelp!

Cute little place within biking distance of Wash park. Yummy unique sandwiches and the homemade popsicles are great for all ages. The owner was very friendly. The only downside is the cramped interior arrangement. Quaint outdoor seating area for a nice day.

I have tasted a LOT of popsicles in my day, but never anything like Aiko Pops. The flavors are so amazing and $3. Less than a stinky cup of starbucks coffee, and many other more expensive treats that don't even come close to the fresh and delicious flavor of these unique popsicles. The best part about Aiko Pops is the owner and inventor of these wonderful treats. His name is Christopher and he's not from around these parts...he's as unique and wonderful as his popsicles!! Worth hunting him down to experience him and his wonderful popsicles!!
