My husband and I stopped here on a Saturday. He was hungry but most of the restaurants in town seemed to be closed between 2:30 and 5:00 and it looked as if we were out of luck. As we were leaving town we saw that this was open. We are vegetarians and were pleased to see several vegetarian options on the menu! I had the vegetarian tacos and my husband had the rice bowl. Both were excellent. Tomas was very attentive and friendly. He even opened the door for us as we left.

Liked: salsa, our waiter Antonio from Domenican Republic, patio with view, margaritas Disliked: chile con queso was odd, rice, chips just ok, piped in Muzak on patio Overall: a bit short of A-OK. Main reason we ate here was the better restaurants in town are closed on Mondays, whereas this is open Monday.

We live here & enjoy mexican food. We had a party of 4 on Tuesday eve. Three of us enjoyed a nice meal and I really enjoyed my seafood enchilada & avocado side. One guest couldn't eat what he ordered and said there was an inedible brown sauce covering his dish. The plate was graciously replaced with the sauce on the side. He took his replaced order with him, as the rest of us had finished eat ing when his replaced dinner arrived at out table Our service was excellent. The chips were a nice & welcome improvement from the folded over chips from a few years ago. For the most part, we enjoyed our dinner, but for the brown sauce - not so much.

They have gotten every thing right at this restaurant. Great service, that is matched with wonderful food. I have been in the hospitality industry for the last 30 years, and was totally impressed! This is a must do on my list of places to visit in Creede.

We had quite a large party and they sat us all and were very attentive the whole time we were there. They explained that their kitchen was not quite set up for such a large party, but that our items would be out as quickly as possible. The food was excellent!

What more can you ask for when you have superb service waiting to serve you as you walk in the door? I've been to more than a dozen Mexican restaurants as I am from California and I travel to resorts in Mexico almost every year and I'd have to say this is the closest it gets to authentic Mexican food. I've been to the "major chain" mexican restaurants and their food aren't as fresh as Cascada Bar & Grill. The chips are way too addicting here so be careful not to eat too many as you may get full before your meal comes. They are hot and fresh. Words can't describe them until you actually come and sample it for yourself. Most restaurants serve just plain corn tortilla chips or super greasy flour tortilla chips that seem premade. These chips here came out light and airy. Not dark and burnt. Seems like it was the first batch made in the frying oil. Salsa is also very good, not too spicy so everyone can enjoy and has great flavor. If you like Asparagus, be sure to order the Deep Fried Asparagus, they are paired with a refreshing dipping sauce. There's more than just Mexican-style entrees. Ribs, arrachera steak, fish and chips are all good! Fajitas served on a sizzling cast iron skillet with FRESH tortillas, not premades! My friend and I had no room for dessert so we are going back tomorrow for desserts before our trip back home. Cascada Grill & Bar we are going to miss you! Thanks for all the wonderful service and keeping our water cups filled =) and checking up on our table. See you next year! Truly a mountain-mex meal!!!

Great TexiMex with a SW CO/NM flair. Great waitstaff, tasty fresh chips, super menu, nice portions, all in Creede! Whats not to like? Make sure to get one of the house margies. Fresh lime juice and premium tequila. Fantastic!

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
