Nice to sit on patio near the Rio Grande river ! Staff were friendly. Service was great! I got trout florentine and my husband got the elk and both were fabulous ! Kudos to the chef! Also very good wine list. Would definitely return even though it was a little pricey !

Creede is really beautiful and for the most part we loved the lodge. I just feel they are a bit cheap: no coffee in the cabins, no shampoo, you have to pay to play pool in the rec room and they charge if they have to do more than a standard cleaning. That's fine but for $175/night I would expect a bit more. Customer service was also lacking. Lots of "I don't know" and "here's a book you can look at". Restaurant is overpriced.

Not sure how to explain this one. Been going here for a few years and decided to take some special friends for Father's Day. Huge mistake. You name what could have gone wrong and it did. Fifteen minutes to get menus, appetizers served after thirty minutes. Our guests did not get theirs for twenty minutes after we finished ours (We had to ask for it three times). Ordered Rib Eye . . . usually very good . . . mind you this was a very early seating on Sunday (6:00pm), they were OUT of Rib Eye. How can you be out of a restaurant favorite on a holiday just as dinner begins? So we settled for something else. After another hour wait, it never came. We called over and told them to cancel, tired of waiting, needed the check and were leaving. Whenever we've had problems in the past, others usually offer compensation/apologies of some sort, come back tomorrow for a dessert, no charge for appetizer, etc. We never take it, and always pay. But it's what the pros offer a customer that obviously had a horrible experience on a night that was clearly not good. Nothing here. Matter of fact, they tried to overcharge us for drinks. Imagine what our guests thought after we touted this place. Yes,they were busy, but appeared totally unprepared. We were mortally embarrassed. Won't be back. Only reason it isn't one star is that we had some decent experiences in the past.

Eight of us had dinner recently on a busy night. Everything was superb! My husband and I both had the steak, and each one was perfectly cooked and delicious. Even though we had a late reservation, and were the last table to finish, we were not rushed in any way. This is a wonderful restaurant, especially for a special occasion. The staff and owners are the best!

I go to Creede every summer and one of the things I anticipate with mouth watering is dinner at Antlers. Sitting outside along the Rio Grande is a treat worth driving for hours. I love the elk, but everything I've had on the menu is prepared perfectly, presented beautifully, and served by great servers. The wine list is good, and the deserts are more than worth the calories! Take a longer hike the next morning to burn them off! I'd give Antlers 6 stars if I could.

We stayed at Antlers this past weekend. The cabin was clean and neat. The view was fantastic. The pricing for the two evening stay was extraordinarily expensive at $225/night. We dined at the restaurant Friday evening. The trout was good, salmon fair but the instant mashed potatoes were horrible. The staff was attentive and timely. The final comment is- having to clean the cabin dishes and glassware seemed to be a "To Do" which would be covered by the staff- especially for the charges
