We eat here regularly when we are in the mood for a different Mexican dish. The food is excellent with generous portions. The rice and beans are better in our opinion than the other Mexican restaurants in town. I usually order Enchiladas a la Crema made with chicken. My wife orders a combination plate with a tamal or enchilada. Chips are the best. Salsa is spicy. You are provided with large glasses of water, tea or soft drinks. Service is good unless a tour bus is there. We eat there every couple of weeks. Price is reasonable to moderate depending upon your selection.

Food was good. "Best margarita in town" Wouldn't know for $11 bucks a cup. Service stunk. I mean we're the only ones in the joint mid-day on Thursday and can't get a water refill, more salsa, or the check in a timely manner. Also had to wait to actually pay the bill. Mind you we weren't even in a rush so I can't imagine if we were. Food was good, but nothing to write home about. I was pretty stuffed though so that was nice especially after paying so much for a single meal.

When I came to this place I thought I would get the tacos. After 25 minutes, my food finally came , the tacos were exactly like the tacos from Taco Bell. The meat in the tacos was sort of warm but the rice and beans were cold. I honestly would never come here again. Oh and the service was pretty bad. At least when I complained they covered the bill.

We went to this restaurant purely out of convenience since it was right next to our hotel and we were tired of driving. We were seated right away. Service was okay, not great. The food was the same adequate but certainly not anything to get excited about especially considering what they were asking for it. Overall it was an okay experience. Would I go back again? Probably not.

This place is awesome. The food was ready quick, the plates are huge and the food is authentic Mexican cuisine. The atmosphere was amazing, with lovely music, lighting and decor. The staff checked up on us frequently to make sure we had everything we needed. Wonderful.

My family and I ate here regularly a long time ago until one fateful night. Their service was good and the food tasted really good, but it's paramount that chefs wash their hands and keep their cutting boards clean. That brought this rating from four stars to a dreaded one star. On a beautiful evening in 2003, my mother ordered some taquitos and was generous enough to share with me. The next morning we had an unforgettable encounter with Hepatitis A; we were both sh!tting our brains out for hours. I will never forget that horrible pain in my gut, one that cannot be understood unless experienced. And the toilet will never forget its undeserved punishment; it has never been the same. I conclude by saying that this is a place I will NEVER return.

A must stop for us every time passing through the area. Warm fresh chips, best salsa, and the plates are great. Margaritas are the absolute best here and service is top notch. Get Eduardo and tell him the Telluride crew sends a hello.

Came here with 5 other people. Waited over almost an hour for our food and had poor service while waiting for our food. Empty drinks, empty chips and salsa and ZERO staff anywhere near us. Not until we got up and started to leave did they say "your food is coming out now." Another 5 minutes later it came out. Food was mediocre, manager covered our drink tab. Service only stepped up after they knew we were gonna walk out. It's too bad there's nothing else nearby, otherwise they'd likely be closed.

My family and I were passing thru on vacation. The place was very clean and the staff was friendly. The service was great, and the food was good. I did think it was over priced.

Generous servings. Fajitas were a little thin and greasy.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
