This place is fantastic! When you step inside, the slight shabbiness of the exterior (faded paint, random sofa in the entry area) is forgotten as it's just like ANY other Asian restaurant one might find elsewhere. Very clean and excellent, efficient service. Not to mention the food was AMAZING. We came here en route to our Colorado Springs elopement and the rice came in a heart shape, which was pretty cool. My husband's basil tofu with veggies had plenty of flavor and my Shanghai noodles were curry-licious. I loved the wide assortment of vegetables in the dish, and the shrimp actually had wonderful flavor instead of just adding a bit of texture (which is often the case when I order similar dishes elsewhere). At the end of our meal, our server delivered two large, delicious slices of watermelon to the table. We were highly impressed and it was our best meal of the entire trip!

Nice experience. Had drunk noodles and wife had pad Thai w shrimp. Crab Rangoon well prepared. Friendly place.

This place looks like NOTHING from the outside, but do not be fooled! Great Thai food and beautiful presentation! Service was great and atmosphere as well! We were served juicy complimentary watermelon slices after our meal. Don't let the exterior fool you, pay them a visit.

As with others who reviewed this restaurant, I agree that the food is really good, but the look outside is a bit frightening. Inside is quaint and comfortable and the service was good. We went in for lunch and the prices are very reasonable. We started with an order of cream cheese wontons that were very tasty. I had a delicious Thai tea and chicken curry. The curry was spicy, but not overwhelming. The lunch special comes with rice, spring roll, choice of soup and a wedge of watermelon. Much more for than I could eat at lunch, but made for great take home leftovers. My husband had the sweet and sour chicken. He also said it was good. All in all, I would definitely eat there again and recommend you give it a shot, too.

I think I would go more with 3.5 stars. I agree, don't let the outside scare you away. The waitress was very friendly. Surprisingly, the hot & sour soup and egg drop soup were pretty good. My guy got the Hong Kong noodles lunch special. I really liked the flavor, but got a bit salty after awhile. I went with the Panang noodles and thought it was okay. Iced Vietnamese coffee wasn't the best I had. I'm not sure if the noodles lunch special come with the spring roll, but we didn't get one. If we were pass by again, we would go back!

My favorite Asian place in the area, fast service and the lady is great . Always come here when in the area

While the outside may look like a rundown drive-thru don't be fooled. They provided a friendly service and the food was very good. I tried the Vietnamese egg roll and spicy basil chicken and I was very satisfied of the portion size and taste. I'm glad I gave it a chance.

Got in just as they were getting ready to close. Very lucky, especially considering the alternatives. I got vegetarian dishes, and they were great. The tofu with peanut sauce and an appetizer. I would go again next time I'm passing through town.

Don't be fooled! Looks shut down on the outside but pleasant, standard Asian restaurant on the inside. Food was surprisingly good. We had the Yaki Udon, drunken noodles, and pad Thai. All were decent. A great quick stop for lunch or dinner while passing through Burlington.

Very tasty meal, reasonably priced, a great place to stop for dinner on a road trip out west. Don't let the " former Sonic" exterior keep you away.

Very poor service. I was traveling on the 70 trying to order ahead of time to make a quick stop and get back on the road. However the lady INSISTED that I come in, since she couldn't have it her way she hung up. Simply and ignorantly said "ok sorry can't help you then" in mocking voice. Take my advice and never order from here. I called back and told them I'm just trying to give them my business, yet they still hung up. I called back a third time to tell them I'm on yelp and I'd be posting a bad review, she did not care. So here I am, hungry and heated. If you want to end up hungry and heated order here!

An unexpected gem. Great service, comfortable interior and good food. Also an oasis for vegetarians in an otherwise veggie desert. We had the tofu in peanut sauce and the sesame tofu. Both were great. Only complaint is that Thai iced tea came in a plastic cup when we were eating in the restaurant. All in all a great experience. Will eat here again if we're in the area.

Upon arrival you would think twice about entering this restaurant, although once inside the atmosphere is that of most other Asian fusion restaurants. The food was decent, not the best or worst we have had. There is a pretty large selection of things to order. The teriyaki chicken was very good. The owner (we assume) was very nice and provided great service to all the customers. We learned of this restaurant on Yelp and most of the other reviews are pretty accurate as well.

Like the others have said, don't let the exterior drive you away (or force you to miss it). We stopped here on a road trip and found excellent food and excellent service. They were very accommodating of my food allergies (dairy and soy). We had our 8 month old with us, and they brought out a slice of watermelon for her to nosh on. We will definitely eat here anytime we are in town.

Iffy service but great authentic Thai food! This is a little mom and pop restaurant with only one server for the floor and cashiering, so the service was a little slow. However, the food more than made up for the lackluster service! The menu has the typical array of "Chinese" foods, but I'd recommend going straight for the Thai specialties to get a true taste of this establishment. There is also a full bar with Asian beers, for which I'm always a sucker. Good Thai touches sweet, salty, spicy, sour, and umami flavor buds all at once, and Chen Vuong certainly hit the mark. For a starter, I tried the Thai Spicy Soup, which was like a hot and sour soup but amped up on flavor with none of the preservative aftertaste. The shrimp in the soup was a little over-cooked, but the flavor of the broth was so delicious, I wanted to return the next day for a to-go lunch order. The crispy veggies in the soup also helped as a refreshing bite while the broth was quite spicy - the best kind of spicy to me! For an entrée, I selected the Panang Curry with chicken which was a wonderful blend of spices, coconut milk, vegetables, and chicken with a side of white rice. The flavors of this curry had my palette bouncing all over the place and created the sense of a new taste in every bite! The vegetables were nicely cooked and tender while the chicken was delicious after soaking up the flavor-packed broth. After all was enjoyed, I still had leftovers and it only cost me $16 for an appetizer, entrée, and a beer. I would absolutely recommend stopping by and trying their Thai dishes if you're in the area - especially since there is NOTHING else nearby. I'll be back for sure!

Don't judge this book by its cover. Excellent food. Friendly service. Our group tried the sesame chicken, panang curry, miso and egg drop soups, spring rolls, crab cheese wontons, and satay chicken. It was all excellent. All very hot and fresh. I can't wait to go back.

I stay in Burlington about every week. I had never tried this Asian Restaurant before what a mistake. I decided to try it to day and had Kung Pao Chicken. It was absolutely the best I have had. The lunch meal came with soup and a spring roll. It was all good. When you arrive the appearance of the building is not the greatest as they converted an old drive inn into this Asian Restaurant but the food is great. If you are in Burlington looking for something different than a hamburger or steak check this place out. The service was great which added to the experience.

Delicious vegetables, basil, lemongrass. Totally did not expect such good Asian food so far from a city in the U.S.

We found this place thanks to Yelp. Otherwise I think my boyfriend and I would have just drove right past it. At first glance I thought it was closed down and it's in an odd building, but we trusted the other reviews and grabbed a table. We were well rewarded! The place is very clean on the inside and we were met with a smile. The food was great and flavorful. I ordered the pad thai with chicken. It was sweeter than expected, but still very good. The egg drop soup was spot on. My boyfriend ordered the Thai basil at Thai spiciness levels. It wasn't as hot as other restaurants's spiciest choice but he enjoyed it all the same. I recommend any fan of Thai food to stop by if they're ever in the area.

Most reviews for restaurants along i70 celebrate a restaurant for being average. This place is special for those who like good food and appreciate sincere warmth and cheerful service. Fried spring rolls, sizzling rice soup and crispy duck.... All very tasty. Top it off with a slice of watermelon and we are ready to hit the road again. Life is good!

Driving across country we stopped in Burlington to get lunch and let the kids run around. We drove past Chen Voung Thai and my wife said "no way." It's in an old gas station or something. It looks abandoned. Then we read the 2 reviews and decided to try it, after getting a $75 ticket for an illegal u-turn. The food was really really good. We're from Providence, RI, which has a large southeast Asian population and some excellent restaurants. This food was right up there with the good ones. We had potstickers (excellent), satay strips, Vietnamese spring rolls, Pad Thai, and Cashew Chicken (the best I've had). The entrees came with soup and a slice of watermelon. The flavors were fresh and light and delicious. The four of us ate until we were full and the whole thing cost less than $28. The hostess/owner was very friendly and our 3 year old instantly hit it off with her 4 year old. A great experience where we didn't expect it.

We stopped here for lunch on a drive from Denver to Kansas City with our 3 kids, based 100% on the positive reviews we read here. My husband was very skeptical at the exterior, but all 5 of us were very pleased with our meals. The cashew chicken was delicious, and the menu was full of your standard Asian options. The best part for me was the wedge of cantaloupe -- such a treat to have fresh fruit during a long day of driving. Great place!

Food is surprisingly good! A notch above standard for this genre. Owners' son is ornery. Pelts customers with sugar packets. He's only 2 years old so this is somewhat understandable.
