I really love CB and Potts. I think it is one of the better large franchise restaurants. I like thier bar and dining area. The food is also really good, not always the best but I like the variety. They don't have it on the menu anymore bit they have the best Monti Cristo. I was really bummed to see it leave the menu and when I expressed that sadness to a server they said they still had it but it was on the un-official menu. I was super happy. Recently I had thier Bloody Mary's and wow it was one of the best I have had. If you don't know if you want to try I would suggest yes just go. You would be surprised by thier large menu options and great drink options. My husband most times can't choose so he gets the beer sampler so he can taste multiple varieties all at once. It's a good place to go!

The menu sucks. I have never gotten food I like here. My husband hasn't had any issues with the food. I highly recommend the ice cream cupcakes, which are the only reason I would go back! Otherwise, there are better places to eat.

A very good brewery , and the food has always been great. Close to home, and a nice change. Always a fun time, with great service.

The craft beer is good, the service here is okay, and the food is average. Nothing to woo-hoo about, but better than some places. The one in Highland's Ranch is far better.

I am so irritated at this moment! This Friday evening there is a concert at Fiddlers Green. CB Potts "sold" their parking spots to the concert venue. We had to wait in the parking lot line to get near the restaurant only to be told the lot was full and there was no longer any parking for dinner patrons. Are you serious??? The parking attendant was unable to give us an alternative location nearby to park. Does this establishment feel that selling parking is more profitable than food and bar patrons? I'm done with this location, after many, many business lunches and dinners. Unbelievable. Macaroni Grill, here we come!

I came here for a farewell party for my old boss and didn't quite enjoy the food as much as I hoped. Our party arrived around 9:30 PM and ordered off the late-night menu. Our waiter seemed a bit occupied, often disappearing for awhile before making an appearance again briefly, and then disappearing again for an extended period of time. We had to try and find him at least twice. Food wise, I ordered one of the burgers; it was too greasy for my liking. The meat was a bit cooled-off as well when I received it. Large portions for the price though, although I didn't end up actually finishing my meal. Dessert was also too sweet for me; too much of a mouthful of sugar rather than a refreshing mint chocolate chip that I wanted. I'd like to give this place another try, but maybe for the beers instead.

The food is really good. The beer even better. Never a wait because of the open seating in the bar, plus the wait staff is so nice. This is quickly becoming my favorite neighborhood hangout!

AND THE WORST SERVICE AWARD OF 2014 GOES TO CB POTTS IN BROOMFIELD COLORADO!! Right off the bat our server was insulting! (Short blonde at the main bar with a Patriots jersey) "Do you have a drink menu featuring your mixed drinks or would you mind suggesting one?" "We have a full bar" and walked away. 1. She never offered me water. I had to ask for it. 2. She never asked how the food was 3. She never asked if I'd like to order more food 4. She never asked if I'd like another drink even though my glass was emptied and had been taken away, yet, she asked the two ladies, with whom I was dining if they'd like another 5. After having to stop her to order a drink, 15 minutes went by and she was washing mugs in the sink in front of us. "Please, cancel my drink order for the pina colada" She nodded sternly and said ok. "Did you forget about the drink?" "No, there was ice cream stuck in the bottom of the blender and I had to wash it out" (even though there was clearly no blender in sight) "Look! Do you guys just want your check?" 6. She never smiled and seemed obviously annoyed by any and every request All in all it was an extremely unpleasant dining experience. It's a shame how one person's actions and inaction can sully the name and reputation of such a fine establishment. Truly poor service. Would never dine there again. It's nice to be important, but it's more important to be nice:)

I though pork belly burger is unusual. A burger with a slice of pork belly on top, instead of lettuce, there were arugula. They cooked it to my request. It was delicious. I enjoyed it very much.

Always a good time. I live really close and am never disappointed! It's sometimes hard to have a conversation during trivia, but I guess that's sort of the point on those nights. Staff is super friendly and their beers are delicious.

It is a nice place but the service absolutely sucks. It too me almost 45 minutes to get my sandwich and it had obviously been sitting under the lights for quite some time. I would just say no there are much better places to eat in the area. Well I do have to say the manager stepped up to the plate. Not sure what good the free meal card will do for me since I am only here once a year.

We went in for a few beers after 9 and recieved some really bad service, our waitress never checked up on us and we had repeatedly tried to catch her attention for things like a fork and a glass of water. Good beer but the staff should really care about service and not about providing a fun night for a coworkers last day of work.

Had a great experience at CB& Potts the night of Women's World Cup Final. I called ahead as we had a party of nearly 15 to watch the game. When we arrived they had given us the game room for no charge. We were able to watch the game on 4 tvs in the game room with our group. Our server was great too. Thanks CB&Potts for helping us celebrate the USWNT World Cup win!

I had a really good chicken burger here which was recommended by the waiter and overall the service was good except that I had to wait a little longer to be seated. But still it was a good dinning experience.

Arrived late to hotel and needing food and a beer so tried this place. The Boneless chicken wings are on the late night menu. I had the Thai BBQ sauce. They were disgusting! - the chicken was encased in a breadcrumb/cement substance. The Thai sauce would have been rejected by McDonalds on basis of how sweet, nasty and inauthentic it is. The beer was a big disappointment. It is served at just above absolute zero kelvin to remove any vestige of flavor. Maybe to appeal to kids who prefer their beer 'frost brewed'. I had the porter and the red ale and both were bland, insipid frozen poor representations of the style. This place has nothing to commend it other than it stays open until 2am.

Potts is a great local burger and beer find with a great sports bar. Ate their for lunch and watched the Rockies game on their big screen TV. The service was quick and friendly. The Ricardo was a great spin on the "Cuban burger". The overall experience was good. It's a three star plus restaurant. If you give it a try, I'm certain their micro-beers will make it a four star experience.

This place is pretty touch-and-go. We've never had a problem with the food; the potato skins are damn good! Their burgers are really good, as well. (Tumbleweed! Faberge! Freakin' delicious!) Their beers are okay, but I can't really judge on that because I've only tried three or four of them. The issue is that service is...sometimes okay and other time near non-existent. This past Friday we went into the bar area and sat around for about 15 minutes before our waitress bothered to show up. This happens every other time that we come here. If the place was busy, I would definitely understand. It was MAYBE half-full, though...at least some acknowledgement that we'll be helped soon would be nice.

We are fairly new to Broomfield and are in the process of trying different restaurants. This happened to be on our list so despite reading all the negative yelp reviews, we decided to give it a try. When we walked in, the left side of the dining area was filled with people playing trivia. We chose the right side because it was much more calm and not very crowded. I was worried about the noise from trivia, but it wasn't an issue. My husband didn't take too long to decide on having steak, but I had a hard time deciding since nothing on the menu seemed appetizing. I went with their bratwurst special on a pretzel hotdog bun. It was just ok. My husband's steak was cooked to medium when he ordered medium rare. It came with a side of mashed potatoes(which was runny) and steamed vegetables. The veggies were chopped up into smaller pieces and that was a bit odd. Service was extremely slow, but I'm hoping it was due to trivia night. I'd come here for beer and nothing else, if I choose to come again.

Almost gave CB a 4. Been here a few times. Service needs work. Last time we went (this past Friday night), Hostess seemed dismayed to see new customers. No hello, how are you, etc. This has been a repeat problem. Another con is their burgers. I know a lot of people are raving about them on here, but after having a few dry, burnt, flavorless patties - I tend to avoid them. On a positive note, the beer I've had of theirs is GOOD. Very drinkable. I enjoy the Blond. Appetizers are good, those armadillo eggs are so incredibly rich & will certainly help you polish off that pint! If you like spicy they are a must try. Had a really amazing entree last time - Whisky Chicken. You could really taste the whisky in the sauce. Portion was a little on the small side for the price. 4 pints, 1 app, 2 entrees + tip & tax = ~$75

Had the Spinach Salad with Blackened Salmon. It was tasty but the salmon portion was tiny. Had the Tomato Basil Bisque to start - wasn't a big fan of the soup though - way too acidic for my taste. Sampled the Muddy Cup Cake that my wife had for dessert, which was the highlight of the meal - yummy. Dinner was average, dessert was awesome, service was great though.

Bad 'craft' beers and mediocre food. Head to Gordon Biersh across the way. Unless you like trivia. Which is OK.

The staff is really friendly. Food is usually excellent - we have had a few problems but the manager has ALWAYS been great about correcting and making it right. My dh really enjoys the selection of beers - especially likes the Buttface Amber Food portions are great - often more than should be eaten by just one person. They have gluten free options Angry Orchard hard cider This is one of our go to places now.

HORRIBLE WAIT TIME! It took our server 25 minutes to bring my husband's beer. When I asked her about it, she said it's at the bar, WTF? I ordered my son his meal and asked her to put it in right away, 20 mins later the wrong meal came, so I sent it back. Another 20 minutes our food shows up without my son's kid's meal. The food is actually decent, but again, HORRIBLE WAIT TIME and SERVICE! Not worth it, go somewhere else!

The food is always super tasty and they certainly give you plenty bang for your buck (pretty sizable portions). I enjoy the Turkey Havarti with the server-recommended beef au jus on the side. Whoever came up with that recommendation is a genius, because it's perfect! The buffalo chicken salad is also very delicious. Normally I kind of expect a salad containing fried chicken to be a little conflicted, but they really sold me on this dish. It has a good touch of corn salsa on it and they keep the chipotle ranch just light enough to where you feel like the salad is still fresh and not drowning. The fish tacos can be a little inconsistent on seasoning, but I can't say I haven't enjoyed them the three times I've eaten them. I could see someone being sensitive to spice having issues with the seasoning on one of them, frankly. Every server I have had here is very good. They stay on top of the table and don't leave you hangin' with empty drinks or clean plates. One server in the bar area seemed a little confused about beer specials during one particular visit, but we all forget stuff sometimes. He was still an excellent server. Speaking of beers, I have yet to have one here I didn't enjoy. I wouldn't say any of them are phenomenal, but definitely not swill! I have had many seasonal beers, as well as a curl (what they call their flights) at one point, and I haven't found a beer I could say anything negative about. All around solid, brewery-type joint. Call me boring, but I love these kind of eateries. I will definitely keep going back!

My husband and I came in for Sunday lunch and catch the March Madness game. (Kansas and Stanford) The Beer: I ordered a Hefeweizen and my husband ordered the IPA red. Mine was alright. The waitress asked if I would like a orange but really if it's a great Hefe I don't plop an orange in craft beer. However, this needed more than an orange to help this flavor. It started with a nice flavor blend but then it just fell flat like a opened soda forgotten. (I prefer Echo Brewing Company's Hefeweizen full of flavor with an incredibles notes leaving a happy pallet.) But that's just me. My husband did enjoy his Red. If your a hop head this is the beer for you but on a flavor scale he said a 3. Hop 10, flavor wah wah wah. The food: I had the salmon burger with seasonal fruit. They should call it the overly seasoned salmon burger. To much going on with seasoning and the burger just fell apart so I are it with my fork. I wish I could taste the salmon but not really. Now the mushrooms were delicious! The bun was nicely crisp on the inside and fluffy on the outside and the fruit was purple grapes and strawberries. This left me still hungry afterwards...not memorable. Hubby had the salmon, rice, and vegetable medley. He simply said, "No flavor." If they could find a happy medium with their flavor on salmon maybe this could walk away with better reviews. Decor: We sat on the bar side which was nice for the game and fun wall of spirits. Great place for sports but if your looking for more it would not be here. I'd rather hit a tasting room, order killer craft beer and eat from one of the many food trucks here in Denver. Just saying.

I'm not sure why my son likes this place so much. Maybe it's the beer? The food is mediocre, the tables and menus are always sticky and icky, I really don't like to touch anything at the table.... The waitress was nice....

Came in alone. Ate dinner at the bar. The restaurant was about 1/2 to 2/3 full at the time. Not super busy, but not dead either. Ordered pork green chili and the meatloaf. Both were served before i finished my first beer, nice and quick. Chili was pretty good, meatloaf was awesome. The beers they brew seem to be very good but they serve them too cold. No biggie, let them warm up. Bartender was friendly, waiter who brought me my food did the whole "your food, sir" thing, which is pro, but not necessary at this type of place. Waitresses look like they were recruited from local cheerleading squad. All in all, i think the prices are appropriate, the service is adequate, and the quality of food and beer is excellent. Just remember, its a brew pub, not a 3 michelin star joint. I'd come back.

Don't go here if you're a vegetarian. NO entree items, salads, etc are meat-free. I went as part of an office party; I will wield whatever influence I have if CB & Potts is considered for such a thing in the future.

I went here for dinner on 11/15/2013 with my wife and daughter. I ordered a burger in a lettuce wrap rather than in a bun. This should not be an unusual request as it is an item on their menu. In fact, it was the only reason we chose CB & Potts this evening. My burger arrived without its lettuce wrapping. I asked the woman who brought it (not our server) where the lettuce wrap was and she said they thought it was an order for a burger without a bun, not a burger wrapped in lettuce. But she took the burger back and returned with it a few minutes later. But all she'd done was drop lettuce on top of the bunless patty. It wasn't a wrap and there was going to be no way to pick the thing up. Our waitress came by and offered to fix the problem. I reiterated that I wanted the "lettuce wrap" but if that was too hard for the kitchen, they could just make it on a bun. At least that way I'd get something too eat. A manager brought the burger out and said this was the first she'd heard of the issue and didn't know why my lettuce wrap was now on a bun. I explained and she insisted she could fix the problem even though I at first said not to bother. Well, she went back and the burger was returned to me and was finally a wrap. However, it was cold. I don't mean lukewarm and I like it hot. I mean literally cold. I don't know if this was because my burger was on its fourth delivery to me over the course of about 20 minutes or if they'd cooked a new one, rushed, and undercooked it. But it was actually cold. After one bite I knew I was done so I had my wife confirm that it was cold by touching it. She concurred. Before the burger I'd had some chili, which was tasty. My wife had a cajun chicken pasta and said the cajun chicken tasted funny so she ate only the pasta. She said the chicken tasted "soapy" although she was pretty sure it wasn't soap, just that type of a taste. Our daughter said her burger (on a bun) was good. So the food could have potential but I won't be back. I had been quite anxious for tonight's burger as I enjoy a lettuce-wrapped burger but after this dismal experience in which four attempts to bring me what I ordered failed, I'm done. I went home and had cereal for dinner. It was cold, too, but it was supposed to be.

The three is for the service. Excellent service but mediocre "mall food". Beer was a big let down as well. Would MAYBE try again just bc of service but probably not.

I have visited many times and each time I am less impressed. You can get a pretty decent burger and some nice beers, but the menu is a little over priced for the quality. It seems to be less quality and more money each time. Tonight I had a nice porter with the blackened cod tacos. I attempted the pumpkin beer. It lacked body and was a little over spiced. But it was nice to see the seasonal out. I didn't enjoy the sides and didn't find the tacos to be what I expected for $14 tacos. I think I'll stick with the sandwiches.

We frequent this restaurant quite often and it's always been good. Tonight we brought an out of town visitor with us and unfortunately had to wait quite a bit for our food. But what made the difference was that first, our waitress acknowledged it was taking a while and apologized to us. Then the Manager came out and also apologized and took great care of us. Mistakes happen and it's not as frustrating when the staff acknowledges a mistake and does the right thing. So many other restaurants would have ignored it and let you get irritated by the minute. The food ended up being delicious and worth the wait. Just to clarify, that was the first time we had to wait that long for our food. Also, Hannah was sweet and appreciate her apologies. We look forward to coming back again soon.

My family and I like to stop by for lunch when we are in the area. Out total bill tends to be kinda pricy for just three people, but the food is good enough for us to return. I like the buffalo burger option, but the list price for these tend to start off high to begin with. At least they are a good size. My wife likes to get their Monte Carlo...my wife being the one that gets the same thing at certain restaurants. That's fine, but we don't get to use the buy one burger get one half-off option. ;o) Oh well. I'd still recommend it, though. Good eats and the brewery is pretty good. I don't like all of the beers, but there's a couple that I do like.

We are out of luck. Our entire world is being taken over by TV-watching zombies and we are the hapless victims. Look, if you want to watch TV, you can sit in the bar/lounge area, right? Why does every seat in the house require a giant TV in full view? Running sports. We've had to ask them to change the channel when Ultimate Fighting was on, because it was ruining our meal. And, frankly, it's not appropriate for kids. We know we are fighting a losing battle. Now that football is on Sunday, Monday and Thursday nights, and because CB & Potts is hardly alone in this trend, those evenings are now dine-in nights for us, because we like to hear ourselves talk. We enjoy actual conversations at the table. This is really sad for us because the food here is generally quite impressive. They offer a variety of creative burger options, some innovative salads, and a good kids menu. The beer is above average as well. The wait staff varies from good to really quite excellent. We've never gotten bad service here, and we used to go 2-3 times a month. But that's about to change. The last time we were there, on a Thursday night, the normally silenced TVs were blaring. So there's no escape for us anymore. Oh, how I wish that restaurants would consider creating TV-free zones just like they used to have no-smoking areas. I doubt we will ever get such a movement going, but we can try!

Great food and beer. Nice bar area. Always friendly waitstaff. One of my favorite places for good beer. Their Colorado Blonde and Hefeweizen are two of my all-time favorites.

Overall I am a Potts fan, but this location rubs me the wrong way. I went with coworkers for a long lunch and we had reserved the back room for our large group. The server came around a whopping four times our whole meal...once for drink orders, once to deliver drinks, once for food orders, and once to deliver the food. The food was great and the company was even better. But I'm confused how a server who got put with the larger party (in no rush, by the way) wouldn't optimize his opportunity to earn a larger tip by making an extra trip or two to the table.

Went here with my boyfriend and five yr old. We had some fantastic hamburgers... He ate a mile high 1 lb burger. Mine was the stadium. Both were excellent. Then we had strawberry lemonade with chunks of real strawberries. These were very refreshing and wonderful. Our service was really slow and kinda unresponsive but the food made up for it.

The Faberge Egg Burger was surprisingly very good! The egg was still slightly runny, the ham did not overwhelm the burger, the bacon was crisp, and the bun held up. In addition, I had the waffles fries which remained crispy throughout the course of the evening even when they weren't hot anymore. I would have given this place 4 stars except I didn't enjoy their brews and our waitress was more interested in herself and hating her job than coming over to serve us.

Recently stopped in here for food and to watch a game on TV on a Saturday afternoon. It had a bit of a local feel even thought it's next to a huge mall area, seems very family friendly too. We had two adults and two kids under twelve in our party. No wait and we sat ourselves in a very comfortable raised booth, great view of all of the TV's and the bar. The bartender was accommodating and was happy to put our game on one of the TV's even though it probably wasn't that popular of a game for the locals. We ordered 5 or 6 appetizers and each one was very good, tasted home made, quality apps. Very fair pricing and a huge selection of beverages. The service was friendly and relaxed, our server made sure we had everything we needed and was very helpful. A lot of love and thought went into the design of the massive and beautiful bar area. It's just a cool place to sit, eat, drink, relax and enjoy a game, not too loud either which was nice. We'll be back.

The 71 IPA was pretty good. I tried the armadillo eggs based on a previous review but was not impressed. The blue cheese burger was good and the house chips were nice and plentiful. Would go again and prob try a different appetizer.

We came here once and we really liked it! The staff was very friendly. When looking at the menu, we seen they had Wisconsin squeaky deep fried cheese curds! Being from Wisconsin, I HAD to try them and ooohhh the memories! Tasted just like the cheese curds from home. They were even beer battered, mmm. The menu was great as pretty much each burger gave you the choice of beef, chicken or turkey for the meat. And we thought the burgers were good. We both had the chicken on ours. The beer was awesome! My hubbys favorite, and not just for the name but for the taste as well, was the buttface! COME ON, who wouldn't want to say to their waitress, give me a buttface please.. HAHA!

Ate here for lunch. Service was quick and friendly. Got the ranch chicken sandwich and it was the best one I ever had to be honest. I know it's not a complicated dish but the was just cooked to perfection, topped with bacon and a zesty ranch sauce. A friend got the wedge salad and chili which also looked great. Overall would come here again.

I live in Boulder, my parents came to visit for Father's Day and stayed in Broomfield. They wanted to go out on FD and instructed me to chose a restaurant. I selected a place, but we were unable to find it and ended up going here. I was worried at first because I have been to similar restaurants in Boulder (I'm looking at you BJ's Brew House) that were absolutely terrible. The place is nice. My parents wanted to watch sports and there were plenty of TVs for that. The menu was pretty straightforward, your typical burgers and deep fried bar food. I like shrimp, but usually do not order it because it is frozen. They have a ram's head by the menu items that are made with their beer and there was one by the fried shrimp which led me to believe they were hand battered. I ordered the shrimp and they were fantastic. In fact, everyone enjoyed their food. The only problem was that, after saying it twice, the waitress forgot the jalapenos on my dad's burger on Father's Day. He did not realize it until after she had left and she did not come back around for awhile, so he just ate it the way it was. Also, the place was close to empty and my water was empty for a lot of the time we were there. Otherwise, this would be a 4 or even 5 star review.

CB & Potts had a good thing going for them. Lots of TVs, dark wood and booths and brick. A variety of foods on the menu, somewhat well prepared. Unfortunately, they have cut back HUGELY on their menu selections, raised their prices, and have seemed to stop preparing everything somewhat good. The burgers are still winners, so if I were in the area and craving a pub-like atmosphere with a hunk-o-meat-on-a-bun... I'd probably stop in again. Keeping in mind that it IS a chain, and for a chain, it's got good beer selection, it'll still be on my radar.

We like to come here for quick meals in the bar. We always get the beer cheese dip, it is tasty. They have a great happy hour in the bar too, with cheap drinks and appetizers, and also late night happy hour. They have trivia on Tuesday nights, which was actually really fun. I think that starts at 8. Lots of TVs everywhere to watch sports. The food is pretty good, better than the food at most bars, and my husband likes the beer. I have noticed that sometimes the service can be slow, especially during the late night happy hour.

  • Jackie W.

Horrible! Quality of food, even though it is bar food is substandard! You pay high prices for below average food. $70 dollars for a couple drinks and appetizers and a burger is ridiculous! We are visitors of the area and return at least yearly when we travel and have seen this brewery continue to decline. Potato skins are crunchy and taste like fake potatoes, beer cheese dip was cold and tasted like melted Valveta cheese, and the burger not good! Won't be returning!

This is one of those places that I keep going back to because I WANT to like them... but man, they do not make it very easy. It's a bit of a train wreck. I feel lucky if we get decent service... because sometimes it's so bad that there are barely words to describe it. (Knowingly charging my card for the wrong amount and claiming you can't fix it.. and then walking away? Whaaa?)The servers here are the type that disappear for prolonged periods of time. I feel like every other time I'm here something on my check is comped because they've made huge errors. These things just shouldn't happen this often so obviously something is broken. I've always been satisfied with the food and drink... though I personally think it's a little overpriced for what you're getting. Also, they boast these great kid menus and then they don't even offer most of what they're supposed to. I can't remember the last time they even mentioned the vegetable appetizer (carrot sticks with ranch) and they never offer the ice cream unless you ask. Considering how over-priced their kids menu is, this is pretty inexcusable and at times just feel dishonest... or maybe just lazy. Actually, after writing this review I'm wondering why I ever go back at all. The answer to that is their loaded waffle fries. It's pathetic really. I'm sure I'll be back there within the week... and then have to wait while they bring me three other dishes on accident before I finally receive them... but after I do, all will be forgiven. That is until they try to charge me for three orders of them. (true story)

The folks at CB Potts are wonderful. The 71 pale is a very good beer. great burgers as well.

I have been in broomfield for a week and half on business. I tried most of the places at the mall. So I figured I try here loaded waffle fries were what I expected but nothing to run out and rave about but the served the purpose. The beer i had on the other hand was terrible in my opinion. For a hefeweizen the flavor profile was there but it was flat as flat can be and that too me is unacceptable for a place that supposedly brews its own stuff.

I'm conflicted. The brunette manager named Vickie is a bitch. She does not smile. She does not say hello. She is a bitch. No warm service. I feel as though I'm in her way. How CB Potts hired such a cold mean woman as a manager is beyond Vickie should be fired. She makes me feel as though I'm not supposed to be here.

Have not been to Potts in several years I would have rather stayed clear for a bit longer. Ordered fish tacos and my co-worker ordered the salad w/ salmon. Took them 40mins to make it and it took the server 25 mins to tell us they made it wrong and were correcting it. Once we got our food mine was cold and really no flavor. The salmon salad was so-so. The only thing that saved it was the servers apology and they took 25% off our bill. Won't be back anytime soon.

Came here with some friends for dinner the other night. I had the faberge burger. It's a massive burger. You've got a lot of meat in there, except the patty isn't as thick as you might expect, it's like they took the ground beef and made a pancake out of it. Not an issue since they stacked bacon, ham, and a cooked egg on top! Delicious! One of the better burgers I've had in a while. Their sweet potato tater tots are freakin' amazing! 3 of us were totally not expecting the taste explosion that ensued. A must get if you enjoy sweet potato anything. They have a good selection of beer on hand and the mug club of course encourages you to drink more (not a bad thing necessarily). They lose a star because the service was pretty shoddy. I don't know what was going on between the servers but we'd have several different people come up to our table to help us. We'd tell all of them what we were looking for (refills, straws, napkins, etc.) and *maybe* one of them would come back with it. We had to ask twice for a lot of things. Lame.

Really bad. First I waited 20 minutes after being seated to put in my food order, the waitress forgot, had to call her over. I ordered my burger mid rare, it was a hockey puck. Other than that the food was ok. I told the waitress that burger was totally overcooked, she said "I rang it in mid rare. I guess I can redo it." I declined because this was lunch break and I had already been there for 40 minutes. Check was dropped a bit after without asking for refill or anything, just delivered. I was overbilled, it was a buck and I was late so I let it go, but still. In summation, mediocre food, overpriced (12-13 bucks for 1/3 pound burgers), neglectful, careless, un-engaged service.

This has quickly become my favorite place to grab and a beer and some amazing food! My waitresses are always polite, friendly, and very knowledgeable about the menu. My cup is never empty and catching a playoff game really sets the atmosphere, keep up the good work guys.

As one of the few places open late night in Broomfield, CB Potts has a corner on the market on beer. And the beer is good. Great reviews on the Buttface Ale from my group, and I absolutely loved the Porter. Smooth beer that went down easily. The stout was good too. The best part? Reverse happy hour at night meant that the 18oz draft of these beers was only $2.48 including tax!!! Cannot beat that deal! The food was average bar food, and nothing special, but the kitchen is open late. But also half off on most appetizers during happy hour, and reverse happy hour. Service was decent when we had a server...but bartenders didn't go out of their way to be friendly in a very slow-paced, non-busy bar. Lastly, part of our group swore there was an odd non-food smell when we walked into Potts...but can't say I really smelled it. The atmosphere is lots of wood, high ceilings, TVs to watch the games...not a bad spot at all.

Great brew, and an above average pub menu. The nice thing about brew pubs, is they usually put more into their burger than beef, lettuce, tomato and bun. The beers are really good, and the menu has plenty to choose from. Great place to spend an evening.

Overpriced salads. The waitress forgot about our drinks, never brought them, and the brownie sundae was dry and just not good at all. Don't have the brownie sundae!! For that $ you should get a whole brownie pie and gallon of ice cream at the store.

It probably seats more people than Mile High Stadium and can be summed up in one word............ Average. The beer is cold, the food is hot. Imagination was left out of all aspects of the concept....................................

If your staying in the Broomfield area I would definitely recommend to check this place out. They have a huge bar area with plenty of tvs to watch all the sporting events. They also brew their own beer which is always a plus. I ordered the black and blue steak sandwich which was awesome! The steak was perfectly cooked along with a nice cole slaw and fried onions....hit the spot!! Great service, friendly staff, and awesome food!

The beer looks great, but I was out for a quick lunch and decided against a beer. The food is terrible. I ordered the 1/2 sandwich 1/2 Cobb Salad. Everything tastes like it came from a bag. The bacon was too salty, the chicken tasted processed, the blue cheese had a chemical taste to it. My sandwich was described as sliced turkey and ham. It was the turkey and ham that is the pre-sliced circles of turkey and ham., like you'd get a cheap sandwich place. My wife's Caesar salad was practically a soup from all the dressing they dumped on it. The service was good.

Went here twice during my visit in the "Centennial State" and yes it was good both times. The first time, I had the calamari and pale ale. The calamari had a crispy and lightly breaded coating, but tender and sweet on the inside. The sweet asian chili sauce had the perfect hint of spice. Paired with the pale ale, it gave it that extra zing to every tasty morsel. My second visit, we ate an actual meal. The spinach artichoke dip was your typical restaurant dip, but still good. My friends had the chili, it seemed to lack in depth of flavor. More like an extra tbsp of chili powder was added, but I'm from Texas so chili is a different species down south. I do have to say it did have a decent amount of meat which is always good. I ate the Hillbilly burger with sweet potato fries....all I can say is BLEU CHEESE MAYO, CRUMBLED GORGONZOLA, SHOESTRING ONION RINGS, & OF COURSE...BACON. What's even better I was able to order it medium rare and it melted in my mouth. Each bite better than the first one. Every bite had cheese, bacon, & onionstrings. I chomped that burger down faster than Joey "Jaws" Chesnutt. The sweet potato fries were yummy, as my friends pointed out they tasted better with what else.....bleu cheese dressing. Are you seeing a pattern here yet? So all in all.....this place is a great after-work hangout for apps & beer or a great last meal to a great vacation. Btw....our server the second time was awesome, she was prompt, very friendly, always available. The first time I sat at the bar, as usual, bartender was nice but it was slow and she tended to her regulars more...but hey no biggie I would've have done the same.

Whoever conceived the CB & Potts concept must've desired to take mediocrity to the next level. Burgers, sandwiches, salads, very typical chain type food at average prices (I paid $10.39 for my burger and fries). Not that I wouldn't go back, I just don't have a reason to go back, ya know?

We came in and were kicked out due to a high school football team coming in for dinner. How can a restaurant like this be closed on a Saturday night near such a popular mall? Very disappointed.

This place is good to pop into for lunch or dinner. Great burgers, also have great salads when you don't want to indulge in too many calories. Lots of beer, but since I don't drink beer, I can't comment. They do have a decent wine selection as well as alcoholic drinks. I had two of their margaritas and they were good, although not the best I have ever had. The three of us had All American Burger, Shrimp and Chips, and a steak -- everyone was happy. We sat in the bar -- which has booth and table seating; seems like you could see one or more tvs from wherever you sat. Our waitress was great; food came in a timely manner. I've also eaten on the non-bar side and it is fine also.

We experienced seriously less than adequate service at the CB & Potts in Flatirons (Broomfield, CO) today for lunch. We arrived at noon and had reservations as it was our co-workers 50th birthday. We had a table of 10 and were promptly gotten our drinks and then our order was taken. First off I have Celiac and require gluten-free dining. The waitress had no idea what on the menu was gluten free other than maybe a salad with no croutons. For such a large chain that is unacceptable in today's society and prominence of gluten free diners. Then, after an hour we realized we still had not received our food, not received drink refills and never been checked on by our waitress to reassure us that indeed our food was coming. One of our co-workers got up and headed to the kitchen to check for herself as the food began to come out. Unfortunately, at least my hamburger and fries were cold. Others had salads so I'm not sure what too quite so long. That was the last we saw of our waitress until the bill came. Individually split which was nice, however we each noticed that there was nearly a 22% gratuity on there. I understand it is customary to add gratuity for large parties, but that is typically 18%. And for that service I would have been hard pressed to swallow that, and I hate to under tip. Especially in a mall area where restaurant competition is plentiful, and numerous restaurants have not made the cut in the last few years I would think service would be of utmost importance. Especially when the restaurant was only 1/2 full at the height of the lunch hour.

Went to this place before the Tom Petty concert last Thursday. The server was great but the food wasn't incredible... If I had to do it all over again I'd probably swing by here for beers and not for food....

If you like getting yelled at because a server is overwhelmed and taking out her bad mood on you and you like mediocre food you might enjoy this place but I didn't and it ALMOST ruined my evening. I was visiting and was told by our hotel to go here to watch a football game. Walked in to the bar (no hostess was at the front door) and there wasn't a table so I found an empty table in the dining room area to watch the game. Was asked by a server if she could help me and I asked her if I could please sit there I wanted to watch the game. She took me to the hostess station and got menus and tried to walk me to another table when I said"I would like to sit here please because this is the only tv with this game on". She YELLED "I have another job to do and window full of food!!". I told her NOT to raise her voice to me and she continued to rant until I asked for the manager. As I was leaving she was STILL going on about it. Listen, serving is tough work but you NEVER yell at customers. The manager gave us a round of drinks but she didn't talk to the server at all about it. NEVER going back and will let many folks know. The food was less than average bar food anyhow. Dear servers and managers, the internet exists!

This used to be one of my go-to places when I lived nearby in Superior (about 7 yrs ago). I hadn't been back in a while and just stopped in and the place seemed desserted at a seemingly prime time (early Sat evening). Had a burger and it was decent though the mozzerrella sticks were not very good - clearly recently thawed from a package. I would probably give 3 stars but I really don't like going to a nearly empty restaurant and probably won't go back. I might try the one on 120th and Huron which seems a bit livelier though.

I've been here a couple of times with friends and though they have a massive burger and sandwich selection, it's quite expensive. The food is good but I really don't think it's worth the price. They had live music on Wednesday night but it was so loud it was hard to talk to the people I was sitting with.

Food is a hit or miss here. Some things are good and some are bad. Whenever there is a big game on, or right after 5 PM on a weekday, forget about sitting in the bar area. There will be no room. Beers are decent here and the food is so so. Appetizers seemed to be better than the main meal. A cool place to go and watch a hockey game but I'm not sure if this would be my weekly hangout. Service can be static here - I have had excellent service and I have had servers who ignore me or try to rush me out the door. The same can be said for the bartending staff. A solid 3.

First of all, I've been treated with more respect from a feral cat than the way our waitress treated us. And that was after waiting patiently, for 25 minutes just to get drinks--let alone put in our order. She then transfered us to another waiter. Unbelievable. I generally NEVER complain about service (as I told the manager who did NOTHING to compensate for our horrible experience), but this, in combination with the extremely sub-par food, left me with no choice. I can't believe how downhill that place has gone.

  • Chris R.

i like this place, but not without my reservations. sometimes the food can be really greasy. also there just isn't much to chose from. if you want a restaurant experience with a burger and a beer, you can do that here for 15$ plus tip, but your stomach might end up paying the price. i do like their buttface amber. and their appetizer sampler. i do prefer a little more out of my brew pubs. with a place like gordon biersch right across the street i find myself going here less and less often. service was fair only bcuz i like to be left alone to my food/drink. i understand that servers get busy but sitting at the bar and waiting for another beer for 3 minutes after i order is a little bit, not like she was changing the keg....

  • Mindy F.

The food is always decent here, but the service leaves something to be desired. They have delicious sweet potato fries, and their veggie burgers are made in house. How awesome is that! If the wait service stepped it up a notch (checked on you more frequently and acted a little more interested) I would probably come here more often.

Good place to go and watch the game. Great burgers. Fair price. I'll be back to try a couple of their different burgers. Its pretty far away from me so I'll have to compare to some CB & Potts near me. Otherwise I'll make the hike out there.

Really loved this place. Too bad it took me this long to try it out BUT I'll be coming back. Their nachos are so delicious. So fresh and tasty, highly recommended. Beer is awesome too, plenty on draft. Decor/setting is comfy with all the televisions. Great hangout! Great service! See you soon CB & Potts!

The food and beer at C.B. and Potts is really good, at least what I've tried and I usually try several things until I find my favorite, unless of course, I hate the place, but I really like this one. I like the buffalo chicken sandwich with cole slaw - the gorgonzola they put on the sandwich adds a nice, flavorful touch. They are a bit pricy so if you have kids, go on Thursdays where kids can eat off the kids menu for 99 cents. The service is pretty good, but there were a couple times where we were waiting to be seated and then for our food, but overall, the service has been pretty good and the staff is friendly.

When we first pulled up to the restaurant, there was a sign that said "coldest beer in town". Immediately we were concerned, being that good beer doesn't need to be served cold. We were right, we tried their apricot what and their porter. Both were served ice cold. We had to wait until after dinner to actually get a feel for their taste. The apricot wheat smelled great, tasted bland.Hints of apricot but nothing else, it was like drinking apricot water. Their porter had an "ok" taste but the mouth feel was very thin, not what one would expect with a good porter. There house wines are from the Barefoot Winery so they're pretty good. We all had their beer marinated steak (i forget the name of it) and it was pretty good. The mashed potatos that accompanied were just as good, vegetables were okay. We hear that their cupcakes are to die for but didn't have any room left. Our Waitress was extremely attentive and very cheerful. Overall, the service was great, the food was good and the beer (and beer selection) were crappy. We'll probably go back to try their cupcakes and maybe even a dinner. Just don't go for the beer.

This is a usual stop for me on my visits to the Front Range as it is a occasional hangout for my brother. The food is pretty typical bar food, but they do have some good salads. I enjoy a handful of their beers. This last trip I had the two pilsner's which were currently on the menu and was pretty impressed. We went on what we thought was trivia night (Thursday) which is apparently no longer, which was a bummer. We only stayed for a dinner and a beer and then headed elsewhere for some more engaging nightlife.

I have a Love/Hate relationship with this Potts. On one hand, it's close, open late, and the food is acceptable. On the other, despite going there for almost two years, we have yet to find a decent server; Jenna has potential, and Sarah, they stuck behind the bar. I mostly go here with friends on Tuesday Nights for Sports Trivia. Trivia is run by Corey Luxnor, who is fantastic at his job. We usually get a salad or a burger and a few beers. The beers here are pretty good, according to my friends; I'm not a drinker, save for Jager shots The food is decent, there are some highlights, like the Spinach Salad, but they removed the item after the "spinach scare of 2006"... My main two gripes are these: They have two kinds of hamburger, one is the standard and the other the premium. The standard is very much like the burger you had in high school. It "seemed" like a good idea and if you dressed it up, you forgot you were eating a cafeteria burger. The premium is Angus Beef, and therefore much tastier. I HIGHLY recommend the Total Disorder Burger. It's got stuff like shredded carrots and things. You really need to eat with a knife and fork. The only problem with the Angus is, it's about $3-4 more expensive than the standard. So with all the fixin's, a burger will run you around $13-14, a little too steep for me, that's 3 Whoppers, which are MUCH tastier. The Club sandwich is good, the white toast is very dry and the whole sammie has a half life of about 22 minutes. The Turkey Havarti Melt is scampacious...I highly recommend. Appetizers are pretty good, chicken tenders, cheese sticks, chicken quesadillas are super tasty. The desserts are surprisingly inexpensive for what you get. My personal fave is the Funnel Cake. Holy Smokes, that's a lot of ice cream and other gifts sent from heaven for $4.99. The Chocolate Cake will leave you begging for a glass of milk, it's that heavy. The second gripe is the wait staff and management. The manager, when we were charged for "cheese with a baked potato" started educating us on the fundamentals of a dairy-based economic model. We finally relented and agreed to pay $1 for a handful of shredder Velveeta...Thanks---NOT! And sadly, never have I seen a bar where the waitstaff can be so lacking. The either forget orders or just don't care. I do understand that some of this can be kitchen based, but after a year, it's somebody's fault...Most people take their salad BEFORE their main meal. Now, on Sunday's, go post up at the Bar, the bartender is always attentive, and order for appys, and watch all the games on the Giant Screen and 6 flat screens, along with 6 other remotes TVs. The patrons are friendly and will chat you up over your favorite team and theirs. Potts is a safe bet, you know what you are gonna get within two visits. So you don't have to think much (we don't even need menus anymore), just go there for the games. [Ed. note. This review is for the BAR AREA. There is a sit-down dinning area that has fantastic service and a slightly better "make a nice impression" atmosphere. I've only been there three times, but it was very positive.]

Food is pretty average. They have several good but not all that original burger choices. Service is decent and friendly. LED spot lighting in the dining area is way too bright in my opinion.

Melissa Etheridge is playing as I take over a semicircular booth in the bar area. Big place. If somebody put some uprights in the dining room proper, you might actually miss a field goal from the bar. Probably because you'd hit the stupid rowing boat hanging upside down from the rafters, along with all the other kitsch and regalia of the Colorado Sports Brewpub. You know what drives me nuts about the Colorado Sports Brewpub? They diffuse the get-right-down-to-it alcoholism of the true bar with all this sports worship and "handcrafted pub chips" and craft-brew wonkery. It's like you can't just sit down and get smashed without having a team to root for or a wankberry porter to sample or some imminent mountain adventure to talk about. I can't look anywhere without seeing nine TVs and nine middle-aged men in sneakers putting on judicious little Saturday-afternoon buzzes, one of whom seriously needs to stop telling his barber to "just take it straight off at the ears." The brewmasters and proprietors of these places like to name their new brews after themselves and legendary Colorado-sounding things, and give each one a precious logo. "Oooh, look, they just rolled out Steve's Slippery Talus Amber." Who cares? Beer sucks. So does the Monte Cristo, and everything else I've ever eaten here.

In one sentence, here's my review: If you have someplace else in mind, go there. I met a friend there, and the service was okay, but the food was terrible. I asked to send it back, and they just brought out an extra plate of side dishes. Salad dressing comes in a plastic little tub. I thought that was only done at fatburger with ketchup. Overall just not a good experience, as the food was cold, no one came to check after it was sent back, the best part was the place wasn't even half-full. No excuse for the cold food. I'm not going back, and would advise you not to bother.

  • Veronica A.

I like that it is large, because there is always a place in the bar to sit. The beer is freezing cold, and because service isn't always at its best (again, it is a large bar), I recommend ordering two beers from the start. don't quite get what is going on with their decorating. We finally asked what was up with the caution tape everywhere and were told that they were celebrating the near end of their construction. Again, the service is ok, just not out of their way helpful. The music is very loud and typical for most sports bars. The important thing is that if you find yourself in Flatiron, this is really your only choice for a sports bar. With that in mind, I say it could be worse.

simply Awesome tender juicy chicken sandwiches and pretty darn good burgers, I normally don't eat french fries, but their fries actually its good. they have a nice selection of beers, good service and with laid back atmosphere I would say it is a good stop for an after movie night, right across flatiron mall and I think they stay open till 2 am on Sundays...
