Good food resonly priced but the guy that owns it is very rude especially if your not in his circle not pleasant at all when being seated or taking your money. Yes we still go there but it's for the wait staff they are nice and the food is pretty good.

Was that parsley garnish on my taco? CLASSY. I went with the standard gringo taco - crispy taco with ground beef. Food was solid. Nothing extraordinary, but good. Service was as good as can be. Very attentive. It's what put the place up to 4 stars for me. It's hard to give 3 stars to a local place with friendly staff, and what seemed to be senior citizen proprietorship. The place is split into two casual areas. One is your average dining area, and the other is a large open bar area with a pool table, some video games, what looked like tabletop shuffleboard, and enough flatscreen TVs to keep up as a sports bar. All in all, a solid local place for Mexican food.

The Mexican food changes drastically when going from Kentucky to Colorado. I've tried a couple different places now, trying to find that safe Mexican flavor that I'm used to! Lol This is the best Mexican I've had since I've been here. The food was delicious! Everything was hot and VERY flavorful! The food tasted extremely fresh. Not only was the food good but the service was AMAZING. My server made sure that I was taken care of at all times. I never had to ask for a refill and she checked on me frequently. It's a all-in-one package deal here. I definitely recommend Buenos Tiempos!

As a San Diego to Broomfield transplant, I can safely say this is some of the worst Mexican food my wife and I have ever experienced. Stay away; stay far far away. Los tiempos no son buenos aqui!!

A great neighborhood restaurant with a friendly and personable staff. The food and service are consistently good and the beer is always cold making this a haunt for my family 3-4 times a month. The salsa is homemade and compliments a basic Mexican menu. I have tried numerous items on the menu and the kitchen is flexible with customized creations. It is not a fancy restaurant but always clean and that is part of its charm.

This place is great. Fast, friendly service. Free chips and salsa. Large cold beers. Pool tables, games, buzztime and really delicious food. I love the burgers as well as the Mexican dishes. I have never had a bad meal here and I stop by quite often.

Love their food! After Cassa Alvarez closed in Boulder I was really bummed after finding this place I'm happy again

This place is fantastic! I knew it would be delicious when I saw it was an authentic Mexican place located in a run down strip mall. Great fajitas, carnitas, salsa and guacamole. The staff is super friendly and the waitress recommended the carnitas burrito, which litrally took my breath away. I would give it 6 stars if I could!

Love it! My family has been going for years and the place is consistently clean and happy. Try it on a Friday night - the joint is jumpin' with locals who know a good thing! I have trouble deciding on my favorite dish - either the Chile Relleno, the Fajitas or the Pork Carnitas. Ok, ok, the Carnitas are to die for! Love that I can take my honey and hang out on the party side, or take my mom and eat on the dining room side. Either way, I think the service is pretty great.

Worst Mexican food ever. The enchilada sauce tastes like marinara and the service was lackluster at best. I didn't think quesadillas could have too much chicken, but when it tastes like stringy frozen chicken, we are gonna have a problem. To top it off, the bill was $40.

The atmosphere is creepy, the service was terrible and the food even worse. Lamer tacos than I would make at home when I had 10 minutes. The crappy store-bought taco shells were even stale... The prices seem to line up more with a fancy restaurant which this is not at all. I feel ripped off and icky after eating there.

Mexican food isn't bad at all. Been here a few times and haven't had a bad meal at all. Don't pass up on the green chili Mac n cheese! Play some pool and have a few drinks while eating some good Mexican food.

The food was eh, the waiter was really nice. To be fair, our expectations are super high coming from California. We haven't found a Mexican food place that comes close to the Mexican food there, but this food was okay. It was definitely more of a gringo Mexican food style. All the servers were white, so that set our expectations accordingly. Still, it was fun to go and I had a great date night with my husband (and infant in tow).

Decided I was over due to write a positive review. So thought of this little neighborhood restaurant/bar in Broom-field,that my wife and I have frequented at least monthly for the past several years. Good, simple and straight forward Mexican food. Casual friendly service. Fair prices and generous portions. The Arroz and Camerons are my favortie, not sure where they get the shrimp but is always good! Go. Try it. I'd bet you like it

The most non traditional Mexican food restaurant in Colorado, hands down. Service was excellent, and food was great, couldn't ask for anything more.

Stumbled upon this place through Restaurant.com . We'll definitely be back! A gem of a restaurant in a old strip mall. The food was awesome! Try the Green Chili Mac & Cheese!

Just ok food at fair prices. Overall disappointed in the service and food quality and taste. This is the closest Mexican food to my house...within walking distance of me, yet I have only been here about 3x in 10 years. I would rather go a distance to find food that I really enjoy. Each time I've eaten here I've left some of my food on the plate and not taken it home to eat later. Service was a bit slow and not too friendly...guess she didn't need tips too badly. It will do in a pinch or if I am carless and am craving Mexican food and can walk there.

I took my mother to lunch here when she was visiting me in Broomfield a couple of weeks ago. The place seemed casual and was empty as it was a weekday afternoon. I have lived within a mile of this place for 5 years and surprisingly never tried it out (since I have other faves for Mexican food close or make it myself). This is not authentic Mexican cuisine but Mexican- American cuisine so things are smothered and have cheese but I love the stuff. The salsa was good and had a little heat. I had the carnitas and bean burrito. I was a little worried that the carnitas would not be fresh or dried out since it is the only thing with carnita meat on the menu that I could tell, but the chunks of pork were good and had that slow braised texture. The retried beans were also good. My Mom had the cheese and onion enchiladas which I tasted and they were a-ok. All-in-all there is nothing to totally write home about but nothing to really complain about either.A-ok describes this place perfectly. Service was quick (since it was empty) and the food came quickly as well. I will visit again.

I liked this place. They had both vegetarian black beans, and vegetarian refried beans. I also liked that their combinations were "Pick Two or Three of the following" instead of "No Substitutions." The food was decent, the restaurant very clean, (you could smell the soap in the air), and the service nice. I like the salsa, too. You can get a nice lunch, including chips and salsa for $5.00, and that's pretty good. I would just skip the guacamole. We ordered that, and were a bit disappointed. It was kind of pasty, not very fresh looking, and almost completely devoid of taste. For $6.50, it was no bargain. It tasted better with a little of the table salsa in it, but it was a pretty strange guacamole. I would go back again, especially for a cheap lunch.

I've eaten here 4-5 times over the last year. The service is pretty good, sometimes slow. The food is just average. If you are looking for real mexican food, this is not your place. Overall nothing special here.

This review is for weekday lunch, as I have never been for dinner or late night, or on a weekend. Service is friendly and mostly attentive. The restaurant has a good patio, pool tables, and a split bar/restaurant side. Food is good, not great. Chile rellenos, quesadillas, and enchilidas are all slightly above average. Prices are fair and affordable. Not a must - but good if you are in the area and looking for a more relaxed lunch.

I dunno about this place.... my burrito was ok... my margarita was ok. I bet I will return, but nothing was that amazing. The waitress who asked me a question with food in my mouth was rude. She stared at me, got impatient that i was chewing... and answered my question for me... lol. It was silly. Maybe the bar scene is better... I shall return just to see since they have a few pool tables.

Buenos is one of our favorite, local restaurants. The food is consistent, delicious and the owners and wait staff are friendly. We feel like family when we are there- love their chunky salsa.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
