This was our best meal in Breck! (True, check out my review for the other top restaurants in Breck) (Also check out their sister restaurant, Relish (I've also reviewed)). As soon as we walked into the bright natural light filled front room we were in love. The décor is simple and bright. Looking out the front bay window is a picture perfect mountainous scene. We popped in a bit early (we were so hungry!) and made it for the last half-hour of their happy hour! Score! Did not even plan that! We stopped in at 5:30, it was quiet expect for one other table and a few seated a the bar. They do get busy later in the evening so always best to set a reservation. My boyfriend was all smiles as he sat down and learned of the happy-hour menu. He was all smiles again as we discussed the great beer menu. Further, the waitress we had was very knowledge able about the beer. We even got into a conversation about breweries in Denver we wanted to visit. We told her we could not locate one of them, and she gave us directions! My boyfriend kept smiling and exclaiming how this was his favorite place in Breck. I couldn't agree more. OK, so we may have ordered way too much, between the happy hour menu and main menu. My boyfriend went big off the happy-hour menu with the Beet Salad and Crab Cakes. The Crab Cakes come two to a plate. They were gone before I could even reach for one. The Beet Salad was not exactly what he was expecting for a salad. It was mainly salad with some beet shaved on top. Still, the flavors mixed really well. I went with the soup of the day which was a lobster bisque like chowder with a cumin base and lobster roe. What a take on a bisque/chowder. It had a kick to (I loved it but I am not able to eat a ton of spice), but was all around great. I also, wanting to try something hearty, went with the Mac-N-Cheese. A Twist on normal Mac, the light tomato sauce gave it a slight pink color and mild flavor. I wish I could have tasted more garlic. Sadly, after a conversation about cheese (I absolutely cannot eat goat, blue or any stinky/moldy cheese. My mouth will not accept it), I learned that there was a possibility of some funk in the Mac. I went for it. Well, I also learned I do not particularly like Sheep's milk cheese. While we discussed it was not as funky as goat and the other flavors and the Mac would mostly cover it up, I had too many bites that tasted t a little off to me and funky. Live and learn, right!? I was glad I tried and enjoyed the other flavors, but my boyfriend had to finish this one off. Next we shared the Ruby Red Trout. Yummy! Genius to have the fish covered in the lemon-pepper crust. Salty, juicy perfectly cooked fish fillets. Luckily, I got most of this dish because the boy had filled up on everything else! We sat and savored the flavors as we stared out the front picture window, literally looking at a picture perfect scene of mountains and snow sipping the last of our $5 (happy hour) wine by the glass!

Delicious dinner. Great, quaint atmosphere in a house-like building. Was pretty quiet around 630 but is hopping at 8:15 PM. We tried one of the specialty cocktails which was delicious and beer and wine, and enjoyed the meatloaf and red trout. The meatloaf was very good, but the red trout with forbidden rice is outrageous. What a delicious, enjoyable meal. PS - we also had the deviled eggs which were the nominal... Being from the south, where deviled eggs are a staple, I think that says a lot.

Yelpers, you have done it again. Thanks for guiding us to a great spot in Breckenridge that satisfied the pickiest of eaters in the family. We decided Happy Hour was the way to go, and it was perfect. We got there shortly after 4 pm and were seated immediately. The outdoor patio is lovely and cozy, and service was attentive and quick. We ordered three orders of the Jamaican Jerk pork tacos, three orders of the broccoli mac and cheese, the fries with aioli, the Poutine Twist Breck fries, wings, crab and artichoke dip, a cocktail, and beer on tap. The total? A very reasonable $69 before tip. The cocktail was a sake martini, and it was lovely. You could taste the smooth sake with a hint of the citrus from the orange peel. Perfect way to end another great day in Breck. My husband ordered a black IPA and enjoyed that as well. The crab and artichoke dip came out first, and my kids devoured the bagels chips with dip. I was worried we would either run out of chips or dip, but somehow my hungry crew made it all work out just fine. The dip is served room temperature, which makes it easier to snarf down. The tacos come 3 to a plate so we initially ordered two orders. The tacos are garnished with carrot red onion slaw, and again the kids really enjoyed these though I would've preferred more taste to the pork and slaw. The poutine!!! So, we fell in love with this Canadian gravy/sauce concoction a few years ago, and this version was spot on. The pork cheek gravy, egg, bacon and cheese spread over the fries made for a heavy but not too heavy addition to the meal. The wings were the least favorite of the plates, and I didn't try them myself since I was too busy licking the poutine off of my plate. My husband and son said the wings were just OK. The Breck fries with with pepperoncini aioli were also delicious because who can say no to that aioli? Apparently not my family. The fries were a bit heavy on the sea salt, but that is more of a personal preference since I do not use a lot of salt in my cooking - too many family members with heart and blood pressure issues. Nothing too serious that gets in the way of Yelping. The winner was the mac and cheese. My one son avoided all the broccoli; he has a gift. But the rest of the family enjoyed the rich and flavorful cheese over the al dente mini shells. The dinner menu looked great, but not something I would bring my kids to. And after a day outdoors in the altitude Happy Hour hit the spot. It's not on Main Street, which we preferred - quieter but not dead, less street noise, etc. Definitely worth revisiting on our next trip to Breck!

Delicious Food! The standouts- * Complimentary Chex Mix - I could eat this for days. They combine basic chex mix with nuts, butter, herbs, etc. I asked for a 2nd bowl. * Habanero Bacon Buffalo Double Decker Burger | $15 - Haystack Farms green chili, jack cheese, lettuce, tomato, pickle, brioche bun choice of house cut French fries or mashed potatoes - Good combo of ingredients. Bison + jack cheese is delicious. Encased in a brioche bun. Muah! * Western Slope Zucchini & Summer Squash Vermicelli | $8.50 - field greens, Caesar dressing, grana padano crisp - good dressing flavr, though the vegetables were drenched in it. Other popular dishes are the meatloaf and short ribs.

The ambiance is better than the food. I prefer Modis, but it's a good second best for Breckenridge

Hubby loved the red trout and the fritters that came with my Cuban Meatloaf. I loved the scalloped potatoes that came with his trout! Great food and atmosphere.

Breckinridge is one of my favorite places and Twist is quickly becoming my favorite restaurant in Breckinridge. This was my second visit there and we had delicious salmon and the best burger I have ever tasted. First the bison burger with green pepper goat cheese. It was indescribably delicious. The salmon was cooked perfectly and served with pea shoot greens. We also had incredible pork tacos for a starter. If your in Breckinridge, you can't go wrong with Twist.

Sadly, their food was not great and the service took forever. It was my birthday and I painstakingly picked a place really wanting the best experience, and I'm pretty bummed it wasn't what we would have wanted it to be. The mac and cheese was more macaroni and warm milk. My friends who got the the elk burger found it dry and strange. I got the lobster rolls which were kind of tasteless... They only redeptive part was the pork wings. They were excellent. Amazing flavor profile, perfectly cooked, and well balanced with the sauce.

Meh. I have given this place several tries now and I seem to leave disappointed every time. The food always tastes bland and under-seasoned. I've tried the mac n' cheese, the poutine, the fish, and the meatloaf. I have yet to be impressed. And for the price you pay, the food is totally not worth it. Pass!

Great food, great atmosphere, but ok service! Our waiter was a little over the top, calling my mom young lady and my dad "friend".. But other than that he made no mistakes. I had the beet and goat cheese ravioli which was so delicious you couldn't go wrong!!! The zucchini salad with caesar dressing was unbelievable and the desert.... Chocolate chip waffle with salted caramel ice cream. I could eat one of those things everyday for the rest of my life!!!!!

Tried to go here for dinner tonight. The hostess was rude and treated us like we didn't belong there. We went elsewhere for dinner.

Very quaint and cozy restaurant. I tried the lemon pepper trout with scalloped potatoes, awesome! So much flavor and very moist. My husband tried their lamb shank, which was melt in your mouth tender. We shared the caramelized brussel sprouts and they were cooked perfectly. Our server was very friendly. We would definitely go back.

The atmosphere drew us in, and then comes the twist. It may be the worst food I have ever had at that price point. Wow, that was rough!

Almond crusted trout was great. My nephew got the kids trout and he loved it as well. I was moved to post this review based on how many crayons Twist gave us. At least 20. I brought the iPad in case the convo with 5 women got boring for a 6 year old boy - but we didn't need it!! So many crayons!! All the other things we great. John was our server and he was wonderful.

Twist is a restaurant that focuses on comfort food with a modern take or "twist." Before I get into the review I must admit that I tried this place while on vacation. Part of the excitement of vacation (for me) is trying new things. With that in mind let's get on with the review. First off, it is located inside a multilevel rennovated house. Kind of neat. We started with some cockltails including a Peach Stinger and their High West Manhatten. The Peach Stinger was excellent--not too sweet as the name implies. The Manhatten drink was awful. I could not finish it. I would not have ordered this drink back at home, but I gave it a shot. The service was excellent and very friendly. They serve their home made Chex-type mix as a free snack. It has some kind of spice including basil. Pretty tasty. My wife and I ordered and shared the following: chicken and dumplings, mac and cheese side, and the meatloaf dish. The chicken was cooked absolutely perfect. It was very moist, full of a flavor, and extremely delicious. The dumplings were more like a gnocchi texture than the old fashioned dumplings my mom made, but still a good compliment with the chicken. This was definitely not a soup like we were used to, but that was part of the "twist" experience I guess. My wife had the meatloaf. I'm not a huge fan of meatloaf in general but it was cooked correctly and seasoned well. For someone like me that doesn't enjoy meatloaf all that much, it was good. The mac and cheese was a good compliment and tasted home made and fresh. The atmosphere was nice, the service was good, the food was good, and the drinks averaged out to be OK. 4 stars here.

I have wanted to try Twist since I moved to Breck and finally did last night. The pros - lovely interior in an old house, beautiful hard wood floors, nice hostess, great drinks (bartender really knew how to make a martini) and service was good despite our server coming over to ask if we were all set every time in mid conversation... The cons - Twist claims they are a " twist on comfort food" but they really are not, instead they are a pricey restaurant with very limited options and a menu that for me personally nothing stood out that I really wanted. The only two items that seemed to be a twist on comfort food were the Wisconsin cheese curds ( just ok) and the chicken waffle and gravy dish ( again just okay). I did not like the steak/cheese rolls that much and had a very upset stomach after I ate them. Also the desserts didn't impress me at all. Lastly the menu is outdated on their website. I have heard that Twist has an excellent happy hour so maybe I will go back and try that but there are better places in Breck I would go to.

Great food. Expensive though. I paid $90 including tips for starters, main course, drinks and desert. One star short because they seated me next to this door that smokers kept using to go in and out and I'd keep getting this gust of cold air every time they did that.

Twist is nestled between other restaurants and houses on a quaint street in Breckenridge. The restaurant is a beautifully renovated two story home with a bar and seating on the first floor and more seating upstairs. I got a reservation (thanks to Yelpers' suggestions), and was easily accommodated. Twist is a "twist" on comfort foods. We were served a housemade Chex mix while we were digesting the menu (nice touch). I started with The Traveler, a wonderfully unique tequila drink with muddled cucumber and jalepeno. It was the perfect blend of flavors. Sweet potato tater tots were our appetizer. Be sure to ask for the homemade ketchup! On to the entrees: my husband had the elk burger (he liked it), and I had the almond-crusted trout. The fish needed some acid, so I asked for lemon. It was cooked decently and had a nice flavor. The sauce was a pepper-citrus, I believe, a nice compliment, just not enough of it. The potatoes were okay. I have a big problem with dried herbs. They tend to taste like dirt. Overall, the meal was quite delicious. Service is friendly, but a bit leisurely (if you are in hurry, that may matter to you).

Always one of my favorites!!! Unique menu with choices for everyone. Recently got the pad Thai and added chicken. The only downside is that there was too much tofu in it. My suggestion would be.....if someone adds meat, take out the tofu. However, I ate everything but the tofu and it was excellent!!! Drinks are always amazing. They had a jalapeño grapefruit drink (yum!)

Definitely quality food, which is a bonus for Breck. I also really liked the space. We sat on the patio on a nice summer evening and it was lovely. I started with the "salad" which had nice green lettuce, grilled and chilled watermelon, crispy prosciutto, and goat cheese, all with champagne vinaigrette. It was absolutely delicious. I could eat this often. I do wish I had asked for the dressing on the side though (as I usually do) because certain bites were swimming in dressing. For my entree I opted for the meatloaf. I'm not usually a fan of meatloaf, but for some reason this was the dish that called out to me. It was served over cheddar mashed potatoes and came with roasted cauliflower. The meat was very flavorful and moist. I'd dare to say the best meatloaf I've had. The cheddar mashed potatoes were heavenly. I could eat just a side of those and be a happy camper. My friend ordered the bass special which was served over asparagus infused risotto. The fish was perfectly cooked and very tasty. So why only 3 stars? The service. Granted, my friend was certainly being the high maintenance one in our party, but it seemed like our server paid great attention to her and completely neglected me. I had to ask twice for my diet pepsi, he took her entree order and then was about to leave the table and I had to point out that I hadn't ordered yet, and her water would get refilled and mine left empty. It was just all very bizarre. And, when I ordered tea at the end of the night he assured me they had just plain green tea. What he brought me was clearly some kind of spiced black tea, and he spilled some on me as he set the pot on the table (thankfully it wasn't very hot so I wasn't burned, but then it also wasn't good so I didn't end up drinking it). That server was very lucky my friend was picking up the tab that night or I guarantee his tip would have been much smaller.

Wanted to love it. Was ready to love it. Came hungry. Maybe we were there on an off-night (Sunday?), but based on our experience it was overpriced for so-so food -- $200+ for five of us (only 2 drinkers) having "comfort food with a twist." It was my husband's birthday. We had an awesome waitress, and our opening course was promising: cocktails (The Traveler and the Stinger) were delicious, and the tater-tot poutine was okay -- gelatinous gravy congealing over soggy sweet potato tots, but we were starving after a day hiking and the flavors were decent. However the tuna sashimi was thisclose to bad, smelling and tasting fishy (and not in a good, umami way), reminding us that maybe seafood in the mountains on a Sunday is not always a smart idea. We then tried to order some at least of the specials and entrees that had been recommended. The almond crust on the almond-crusted trout was soggy and the trout was overcooked and underseasoned; the potato cake on which it sat was just lukewarm; but the egg atop it all was perfectly cooked and broke creamily over the rest of the dish, adding a layer of satisfaction that maybe the entree as a whole didn't quite merit. The seasonal peach salad was fresh, balanced, delicious; and if I'd had only that instead of the trout, this might be a different review. My daughter had the summer fettucini with chicken and enjoyed it. My older son had the tenderloin with crab salad, and thought the crab salad had too much going on -- it didn't taste like crab or crab salad, just like fibrous Miracle Whip spice something. My younger son had the artichoke mac-and-cheese; it was clotty, tasteless and definitely not fresh. My husband had the street tacos, which, honestly, are probably better and cheaper nearly anywhere else. Like I said, it was my husband's birthday, but the consensus was not to even risk dessert -- we didn't want to get our hopes up and either lie or feel like jerks if we didn't like it. So we went elsewhere. Sometimes, it's just about expectations. Maybe if our expectations had been lower -- and the prices as well -- we'd be like, "yay!" But for what we paid, you'd expect -- if not perfection, then at least consistently good food, well executed. But on this night at least it just wasn't.

A friend and I were in town for a girls weekend. We had gone to happy hour earlier in the day and with the altitude were not starving. However, we thought we should eat something. Twist was the perfect choice. We wondered in and got two salads and some of the tortilla soup. The service was nice the vibe is great. Prices are on par for the area and the food was really good. Would come back in a heart beat the next time we are in town. We really enjoyed everything about our meal.

Wow! Excellent food, service and great ambiance in Breck. You HAVE to eat here. We really enjoyed the happy hour appetizers and followed up with the very nice Lamb Shank! Definitely not traditional comfort food but very modern cuisine inspired food. We will be back soon!

I'm surprised at the low star ratings. This place was wonderful! Delicious dinner, great atmosphere and a even better waitress - wish I remembered her name! We dined here during our ski trip and it was perfect. Be sure to make a reservation!

We came for my birthday and boy did it deliver!! The food and the service was great. We started with cocktails which were very refreshing and yummy. W e had duck rillette was a very unique and delicious appetizer. For entrees, we had the red ruby trout and the elk special. Both us loved our dinner and cleaned our plates. We finished the evening with carrot cake for dessert. I would highly recommend and will be back soon!

This place was such a great find in Breckenridge! We showed up around 4 or 4:30 and were told they wouldn't start serving entrées until 5:30, which is odd, but they do have a limited menu of small plates from 4-6pm on happy hour prices. The fiancé and I both got the beer cheese Mac n cheese and we also got an order of sweet potato fries. The beer Mac n cheese has bacon bits and pretzels in it. It was surprisingly good - especially the pretzels - added a salty and crunchy element. Everything was really good and service was fast and friendly. The decor was nice. We sat right next to the fireplace, which was greatly appreciated given that it was COLD outside. The bathroom was really clean as well. There was absolutely no wait when we were here on a Sunday. We ordered the two Mac n cheese small plates and an order of sweet potato fries in addition to 3 PBRs. The whole meal was only $24 after tip. Their happy hour is a great deal!! I'll definitely be back here next time I ski in Breck. Loved it!

My husband and I are visiting Breck and tried Twist last night. The items we ordered from the menu were all exquisite: the Breck fries, the chicken and dumplings and the trout. I would recommend ALL of them. The fries were particularly surprising, as was the homemade chex mix.

Only the thing better than the the food was the view at Twist! Trout and short ribs were amazing. Don't let the others 4 stars fool you. Twist serves well balanced, attractive and delicious food. Service was terrific. Venture 1 block off the Main Street you won't be disappointed!

Comfort food so twisted as to be unrecognizable. When I walked in and saw how hipster this place was, I almost walked out, assuming I had made a mistake. I didn't walk. I regret it. I ordered the Meatloaf which was ok, but the gravy that came with it was awful. My wife ordered the Pork Tenderloin. She asked to substitute the Mac and Cheese and was originally told that this was not an option. They allowed her to sub the Mashed Potatoes instead. Waitress later returned and said she could get us a side of the Mac and Cheese at the Happy Hour price. It came out baked in a tin, fresh from the oven, and was both over- and under-cooked. This garbage was not worth the $5 we were charged for it, let alone the $8.50 they normally charge. The Tenderloin, while good, was not enough to redeem this meal. A snotty, slow waitress made this all worse. I will not return. 2 entrees +1 app = $56

We made reservations to eat here and were really looking forward to it. I think our anticipation got the best of us... While the atmosphere is trendy and cool and the service was good, our food was not as good as I had expected. My husband had a lamb shank that had a nice flavor, but nothing out of this world. We also had the pulled pork taco appetizers, which had good meat, but I had expected homemade tortillas or something a little better than what was served. Also tried the mac-n-cheese and the brussel sprouts. Both were above average, but I could probably duplicate them in my own kitchen. I don't want to say we didn't like the place or the food bc we did. I had just expected more and maybe that is my fault...

We were in Breck in August for our honeymoon. We went to Twist for happy hour and enjoyed ourselves. I wish they had a couple of more selections to choose from but what we did have, was fantastic. I plan to go again when we are back in Breck this summer.

Happy hour review only. One of my other favorites in Breck. Great seating and fun apps for happy hour. Bring back the cheese curds!! Wish the drink menu was bigger for happy hour. But overall really enjoy this place. Good food, good price.

The food was delicious, but when you are paying $30 a plate you should get more than three asparagus and a 3oz piece of meat. We spent $85 and still had to go to Wendy's when we were done. The wait staff were very nice and attentive. I just feel like for the price, I should have gotten more for my money. The sign said comfort food, NOT EXACTLY!

I found this place on yelp on a Sunday evening after our first day of skiing. It had some pretty good reviews on yelp so we decided to give it a try. I called the restaurant around 6:30pm to make a reservation for two at 7pm. I didn't think it would be that busy since it was a Sunday evening but the girl who answered the phone said the earliest reservation we could make was at 9pm! She did say walk-ins were welcomed and bar was open seating. The good: 1) we got to the front of the restaurant, it was a house turned restaurant type... It was beautiful on the outside and inside. It is a small place so I don't think it would be good for large groups. 2) we got bar seating right away 3) the waiter/bartender was really nice and took our orders quickly. (He also wasn't super chatty, which I liked but he was attentive and responsive) 4) food was good.... I got the special of the night which was a Seafood Paella Fettuccine and my boyfriend got the Veal and Rabbit Meatloaf. Both were delicious and were $25 each. Portion size is good, but if you're really hungry, it might not be enough. The not-so-good: 1) the price. It was a bit pricey for what it was but I feel like you pay for the ambience. It's the typical fine dining type of place Food: 4/5 Environment: 5/5 Service: 4.5/5 Price: 3/5

Make a reservation! This little place gets packed, but we were lucky enough to find seats at the bar. The place is like a house, small but very cozy. The bartender (our waiter) was very friendly and helpful. We started with the lamb tacos, and they were very tasty. We had the lamb shank for dinner and that was very delicious, along with the mushroom risotto with mussels! This is definitely a great place to go if you want a nice dinner after a long day on the mountain.

Described as comfort food and it was. Went during happy hour, 4-6pm, and utilized their specialized menu. Crusted goat cheese salad was generously portioned and delicious, Got the pulled pork taco appetizer and the mac and cheese appetizer. Definitely comfort food; warm, heavy and plenty filling. Ended up being dinner at a reasonable price.

Neat environment being in a small, cozy house. The duck appetizer was delicious, but dinner was just okay. My drink looked really cool with a slice of pear frozen inside an ice, but seemed to lack alcohol completely. For that price that is a huge no-no in my book. Go for appetizers and wine, but you can have a better dining experience elsewhere.

Went back to Twist again for New Year's. (I know a little late on reviewing) We had a pre-fix menu and OMG DELICIOUS! I just LOVE this place. Breck was such a fun place to celebrate 2015 and celebrating it with a great meal at Twist was such a great way to kick off the New Year. Thanks Twist for the great food and great evening!

I thoroughly enjoyed my experience at this restaurant. It is easy to find and although busy, you can get a table for two at peak dining hours. Everything on the menu is like the name of the venue states...with a twist. The shrimp sliders appetizer we had was phenomenal! And the twist was, they were served in Hawaiian sweet rolls instead of regular slider buns. Perfect! For the main course, we had the pork porterhouse and the meat loaf. The meat loaf was half bison and half beef, I believe. It was very tasty. It also came with bacon mashed potatoes!!! Mmmmmmm... The pork porterhouse was fingerling' good! It too came with mashed potatoes but there was no bacon so it was a little disappointing for me. Ideally, I would have gotten the pork porterhouse with the bacon mashed potatoes that come with the meat loaf. Maybe next time I'll ask for a custom order. Highly suggest you try this place for American food out of the norm!

We went for happy hour. The bar was packed, but they gave us a table upstairs for an hour and fifteen minutes. We were totally happy with that. The drinks were good. The $5 pinot noir was delicious. The deviled eggs were good. The poutine was great, however the calamari was sadly limp. Jocelyn was delight. A great deal and I will definitely go back!

This was our best dining experience in Breckenridge. I wish we had found this place earlier on our trip because we would have returned again. The food was incredibly fresh and a cute take on what many would consider traditional comfort food. Oh-and although most of the time huge portions mean bland poorly executed food that was not the case here. The portions were huge and packed with flavor. We ordered way too much with appetizers and entrees and did not have any room for dessert which I really wanted to try after seeing the sweets menu. Maybe next time I can experience the Belgian waffle. No matter, because the fried chicken with carrot cake waffle I had for dinner was soooo good. I also sampled an avocado salad expertly mixed with crab and green goddess dressing and my son enjoyed the sweet potato tater tots served with a yummy dipping sauce. Combined with the friendly, laid back and knowledgable service, I would definitely return if I find myself in Breckenridge again.

Everything was great. Halibut with green curry was super delicious as was the trout. Great service. This is from super food snobs from LA who love to hate

This is a nice restaurant, however a little pricey. It's hard to find as it's a little off the Main Street upstairs next to another business. The staff was very pleasant. There's outside seeing as well. It's a rather small restaurant, I would highly recommend reservations

The green curry halibut with soba noodles was incredible. The trout was also very good. Great service too.

So i would like to give them 3.5 stars but I just cannot justify 4 based on a few service related issues I experienced and witnessed while here. First let me say that the food was really good. The potato and leek soup, salad and chicken and dumplings were all great. My husband had the meatloaf which he loved but I thought was just okay. That being said, if you are going to charge $26-35 per entree, you need to step up your restaurant game. I don't want to sound snobby but if I order a bottle of sparkling water, the server shouldn't bring it out warm and ask if I want ice. A higher end restaurant should always have a few bottles cold. Also, train your servers to understand that no table wants to hear "They are all amazing" when asked which one is your favorite or which would you recommend. Even if you are lying, pick 2-3 and point out something spectacular about those. I also watched a server go up and down the stairs 4-5 times to deliver a larger party's food in delayed waves. Pull some servers over and deliver it 1 or 2 waves max. Half the table was done eating before the last few got their plates. Again, food is great but for the price point, they really need to take their service to the next level.

Great fresh food, frequently changing menu. Pistachio crusted salmon with roasted Brussels sprouts were excellent, very innovative drink menu.

So many incredible options! The four of us all decided on two appetizers and four entrees to share and it was incredible. Chicken and waffles was delicious, elk burger was delicious but if you don't enjoy blue cheese I wouldn't try it. Trout was delicious, meatloaf was cooked perfectly. Duck wings and avocado appetizer were creative and delicious. We ate all of it and despite being full couldn't resist cheesecake and creme brûlée for desert. Atmosphere was homey and comfortable, food was creative and delicious, service was the best I have personally had in a long time. Well worth every penny.

Awesome service. Amazing food. Definitely twisted food but that's what makes modern American such an interesting food category. The service went above and beyond what I expect at any restaurant. Quality recommendations tailored for the people in our party. The waiter was also really knowledgable about the drinks, personalizing beer recommendations to each dinner. Don't miss the speculoos waffle with pistachio ice cream.

First visit to Twist last night and won't be the last. With town dead we got a table right away, but on a busy weekend I could see making a reservation. We were seated upstairs which featured views of the mountain. Our server was really nice and attentive. He walked us through the menu with pointing out favorites Skipping apps (saving room for dessert) I ordered the Brie stuffed pork chop with potatoes. While I didn't get much flavor from the Brie, the sauce was fabulous and flavorful. I wish the chop had been a bit bigger for the price tag. My friend enjoyed the chicken with sweet potato waffle. And for dessert we got the chocolate cherry waffle with chocolate ice cream. It was all very good, but could've used more cherries in the batter. Overall, really good and looking forward to returning to try their burger. It came out to every table around us and looked really good.

Loved our dinner at Twist! The goat cheese gnocchi was To die for- but was a small portion. Loved the elk sloppy joe and the beer pretzel Mac and Cheese! Would definitely recommend to anyone who asked for a food suggestion in Breck! Prices were also reasonable, which is a plus on the mountain!

Went here a week or so ago and it was a phenomenal meal. We walked in with no reservation around 8pm and were seated right away at a cozy, romantic table near the fireplace. The server arrived nearly immediately, was very knowledgeable about the drink and food menus, and ensured we lacked for nothing throughout the meal. The pour on my wine was generous and I highly recommend the sweet potato poutine and/or the pork porterhouse. I've never had a more tender cut of pork in my life! Deeee-lish!

This restaurant is new and fun and they have a great patio with tasty happy hour food and prices. Food in Breck can be rather lacking, and I have to say after many years of living here, I am pretty bored and underwhelmed most of the time.. Twist's menu is new and interesting, and they cater to me and my fussy palette and food allergies, without attitude, which I always appreciate!! The bartender is really nice and friendly, cant remember his name but he is off on some big surf trip right now.. Good guy and makes you feel welcome to sit at his bar. Plus, I love any place that has a picnic table and a courtyard.. its nice inside too, cozy, but not too stuffy! Worth a try for sure :)

Great food menu, catering to all sorts of dietary restrictions. Great beer and wine men- focused on 'green' breweries. Great service. I heart you Twist! After having an unfortunate dinner at Blue River Bistro the evening prior, our standards were relatively low when we arrived at Twist for the second night of our holiday stay in Breck. And let me tell you... they knocked it out of the park! We came in without reservations and they were full for the night. We chose to sit at the bar for dinner and had AMAZING service by the bartender (I think his name was Tom?). He took his time to explain all of the beers to my beer-enthusiast Hubs and was more than happy to let me sample a few wines to help me make my decision. We started with the sweet potato fries, complete with homemade ketchup and mustard- YUM! Hubs ordered the burger and LOVED it and I order the Veg curry noodle dish and loved it as well. We were too stuffed to get dessert, but the gelato offerings sounded so good! Side note.... such a random thing to love, but I adore their bathrooms. I know, I know. But they were just that well put together.

Ended up here for happy hour after SpringFever at Breckenridge. Delicious. Pork shank wings... Divine. Could have eaten 10 orders but had to try eveything else too. There were six of us and we got to sit the window (even better) and our server was on it. We were your typical group of 6 orderibg even time he came back. Always with a smile. Back to the food. We had one of everything on the happy hour menu between us all. No complaints. We all practically licked our plates clean. That amazing. No joke. Dinner sounded great but we were full off just the apps. Astounding drinks specials. Green tea martinis, bartenders special which changed thru the meal. Both yummy. We will be returning for sure!!

Can't recall having a meal here we weren't absolutely thrilled by. My husband is a sworn patriot of their chef's meatloaf. This month was a divine indulgent twist on classic. I had the ruby red trout w/ almond crust & pumpkin risotto. I've rated Twist before on Yelp, but had to add another great meal from a true local.

Service is spotty and the food is hit or miss. We've had good meals at Twist, but this last visit left a bit to be desired. Our service was slow and the food was uninspired. Hope to come back when they are on their game!

Had a great meal here last night. I was traveling alone and ate at the bar. I ordered the lamb ribs, which came out very tender and were a gracious portion served with sweet potatoes and haricot verts. I had Mike the bartender pair my ribs with a nice Russian River Pinot. I was able to have a great conversation with a few locals/regulars and felt that if this place was in my home town, I would stop by weekly. Great service, good, but limited menu (which I find appealing) and a great atmosphere. Stop by and give these guys some love.

It was just...okay. Vegetable squash soup was much more interesting after a ton of salt, pepper, and hot sauce. The kids and I had the Thai curry which was beyond bland, even for the 9-year old! "Where's the taste, Mommy?" They gladly took mine back (something I rarely do) and I ordered a decent hamburger. My other son had the meatloaf, again bland, but he liked it. Husband really enjoyed the pork tenderloin. Service was attentive, hip, and gracious.

Twist gets the highest marks for service, accommodations and food. We had a group of 12 boisterous adults for New Year's Eve and couldn't have had a better experience. We didn't have to wait for our reservation (even on the busiest restaurant night of the year) and all of our food came out piping hot and expertly prepared. Our server was wildly accommodating even though the volume of our group was alarming. We'll definitely be back!

Went here for the first time on a date, and what an adventure. My date ordered the Vegetarian Special, and when it arrived a fully naked quail was perched ontop. I'm sure the look on our faces was priceless. I certainly know how the family in A Christmas Story felt in the decapitating Christmas goose scene. Sheer horror. Luckily my date was very understanding. We continued with the hummus appetizer until they had her entree corrected. Once we got a taste of the Black Rice in the Veg Special, I was impressed. In fact, my burger was so underwhelming that I would've loved to have a 2nd vegetarian dish. This place is known locally for it's two happy hours, one at the regular time and a 2nd late night happy hour. Although the beer selection is limited, this may be the only place that you can wear a suit comfortably and slam a bucket of Old Milwaukee. Tip: If you prefer a more lively setting, then sit downstairs on the street level.

Nothing but good things to say about Twist. Great views of the mountain and all the food our table got was amazing. No one wanted to share! Started with the complimentary house-made chex mix, which I was very appreciative of seeing as I'm gluten free and can't ever eat the bread usually served before a meal at other restaurants. I had the short ribs, which were tender and extremely flavorful with a sauce that blew my taste buds. Our group also had the pear and bleu cheese stuffed pork chop, a twist on fish and chips, and the crab and Vermont cheddar mac and cheese. I'll definitely go back the next time I'm in the area!

Everything about Twist is awesome! The munchies they put on the table when you sit down are very good. They have a nice selection of wines, w/o having to read an entire dictionary to find what you'd like. Plenty of options for by-the-glass too. The menu has enough choices where everyone should be able to find something to their liking. I ordered Dry Aged Buffalo Bolognese and it was quite excellent. Our waitress, Jessica, was very friendly and helpful with suggestions. Can't see leaving Breckenridge without eating here one more time.

Overall decent experience. Food was ok/good at most. Nothing you would crave to eat the next day. Made reservations for my birthday dinner, was told they only had one opening but the restaurant was empty when we had dinner. Green curry dish needed a lot of spice, was very bland. The hummus was very good! Also tried the meatloaf which was pretty good. Dessert was the best course. Service was good, very nice and polite waitress. There are many amazing restaurants in the area to choose from which makes it hard to say its a "must eat again" spot in town.

I recently had dinner here with some friends who are locals in Breck. We were all looking forward to a great meal since the menu looks amazing on-line. I don't really have anything good to say other than the place itself is a neat building and great location. The service was extremely slow and inconsistent and the food was executed poorly. The place was busy but the the poor service was beyond acceptance for a full dining room. I had the Curry Oysters appetizer. I couldn't even finish the 6 oysters due to the off taste and very bitter flavor. I love oysters and this was truly an injustice to them. For dinner, two of us ordered the Twist take on fish and chips, these came out cold. I had the wagyu burger which I was so excited for prior. I ordered it medium rare and it came out as a burnt hockey puck and saying well done would be an understatement. I didn't send it back because after we got our food we didn't see a server again until they dropped off the check. The only thing that came out hot was the pot pie one of us ordered. We must have all been sitting aside waiting for that to finish. In summary, Breck has a lot better places. My local friends probably won't go again, I and I definitely won't on my next visit. Update: I got a response from the restaurant, pretty cool that they take the comments seriously. I will probably give them another try in March when I'm back in Breck. Any place that takes comments to heart is willing to get a second chance.

Very innovative flavors. The pork tacos al pastor featured a tart relish that complimented the meat nicely. The red trout entree was crusted with almond which gave the fish just the right amount of nuttiness. Finally, the mac and cheese side had a very original and herbal flavor. I wish we had this place back in San Antonio!

Headline: good new restaurant with a unique vibe. Twist is a new restaurant for us in Breck - at least since last year. It's right next to Hearthstone in a Victorian in downtown Breckenridge. They have a happy hour from 4-6 and dinner from 5. Turn up a little early and get happy hour appetizers prior to dinner. The bar / restaurant is a light open space, with an enjoyable music mix in the background. We started with the pork shoulder tacos from the happy hour menu - just $2 a pop. The pork shoulder has a nice mildly spicy sauce and is served in a crispy shell. I prefer soft shells, so meh on that. The pork was stellar though. Main course was a grilled lamb sirloin, suggested by our server. The lamb was cooked perfectly. It came with broccolini and fingerling potatoes, with a bordelaise sauce in a bowl. I'm not sure how they expect me to cut the meat. My wife got the Wagyu beef burger, which is normally an excuse to charge more for the burger without giving any benefit. The burger itself was good, and the Brie - chimichurri mix works, but the bun is a fail. The chimichurri soaked in and caused it to disintegrate. The dish came with sweet potatoe fries - meh. Overall, a good tasting meal, but technical issues keep it from being a great meal.

This restaurant is really not that special in my opinion. I am also spoiled by living in Boulder where there are many exceptional restaurants. The service was very average and the wait staff appeared unfriendly and not interested in exceptional customer service. I love comfort food and my husband and I were really looking forward to trying this place. He had the salmon which again was very average. The potato soup barely had any flavor to it. My dish was the chicken fried buffalo steak and it too was nothing special and nothing resembling chicken fried steak. The potatoes that accompanied the dish were dry and hard. It's not worth the inflated prices for this trendy restaurant trying to make a "twist" on comfort classes dishes.

Day / Time Saturday, 8:45pm, had reservation Food The food at Twist was a nice departure from usual ski resort fare (aka: heavy fried food). As you might expect, the menu consisted of classic foods with a twist: a new spin on Caesar salad, fish and chips where the fish was not fried, etc. I had the vegetarian special: tempura Portobello mushroom, Chinese forbidden rice, and roasted Brussels sprouts. The mushroom was lightly fried and had the perfect texture. The Brussels sprouts were roasted just the right amount, but lacked something in flavor, and the Chinese forbidden rice was kind of forgettable. For dessert we shared the chocolate cherry waffle and a trio of ice creams / sorbet. The chocolate waffle was the perfect post-dinner chocolate fix and the trio of ice creams / sorbet was pretty standard. Service Our server was friendly enough, but a little on the slow side. To be fair though, we came in a large group, so that may explain the delay. Atmosphere We were on the second floor of the restaurant, which was full of fairly big groups the night we were there. As a result, the restaurant was a bit loud for conversation and probably more suited to groups than to smaller parties.

Excellent happy hour! Wine is good and cheap. Cocktails were also yummy. What actually made the experience was the staff. Could not have been friendlier. The food was pretty good, but not amazing. Can't complain though since it was just happy hour appetizers.

We arrived lastnight and this place is really nice. The atmosphere was casual and clean. (And cute waiters!) I don't usually order turkey in a restaurant (I rarely see it on menus), but they had a dish that was slow cooked turkey, shredded and mixed with crunchy, slightly cooked veggies in a sort of "stock" and poured over a thick waffle made of wild rice flour and parsnip. It was super tasty and very filling. My friend had the meatloaf of lamb and Italian sausage, which was good and had a very tangy and flavorful tomato sauce over it. My only complaint would be that the red sauce was almost room temperature when I tried it, but my friend didn't say anything. (But, it sort of took any heat that was in the meatloaf and neutralized it.) we were too full to have dessert, but it all looked pretty tempting. All in all, we were both glad we tried this place out. I have one single suggestion because I know that the owner pays attention to these reviews--please put a hook on the back of the bathroom door! It makes all the difference to us ladies with purses and coats. We don't want to put our things on the floor and the counters are always wet. Thank you.

Fun place and perfect for a casual meal that still ends up being special. Menu was interesting, food came out looking amazing and tasting great. Beer selection was amazing (so says my husband) and if I hadn't been pregnant I would have partaken in their special craft cocktails. Like all places in Breckenridge - kids are welcome, but I was glad we snagged a table on the patio so we didn't disturb the guests in the rather tiny dining room.

We ordered 2 appetizers, soup, salad and a side. Portions were smaller than anticipated (salad had about eight pieces of lettuce) and the wait to get even these simple dishes was too long. The food quality was good and wait staff was friendly but overall not impressed. We left disappointed.

Our server was super nice and the views from this quaint house is very nice. It's a street OFF of the main street, so the location is great. It's like you're one step away from the hustle and bustle, and yet you're not too far off. The food was good, but nothing super special. My drink, on the other hand, was amazing! It was something like raspberry stoli in lemonade. I can't remember it now, but it was yummy!

Dined here on a Friday night. One of the few restaurants we could get into without a reservation, we learned why. It is a nice place with a good bar buzz. Decor is simple but nice. Service was attentive. But the food. I followed the server's suggestion and had the short rib buffalo. It certainly made a dramatic appearance. It appeared like it had been dipped in oil sludge. The Asian influenced sauce tasted a bit like oil sludge as well, and overpowered the dish. It was served with a coconut rice that had been so overcooked it was more like congee. Another at our table had the pork belly BLT - not good. Another had the chicken pot pie and was very pleased. We tried the banana guacamole as an appetizer. An interesting and delightful twist to this dish. The banana sweetens without overpowering. I will try that at home. The chef is obviously trying to be creative and innovative, but he does not appear to have the skills to do it. I won't be back.

My wife and I arrived in Breckenridge after a long day of travel, not much sleep the day before, and a touch of altitude lightheadedness. We didn't want complicated, just good home cooking. The byline on Twist "Comfort Food (re)Defined" sounded good to us - traditional dishes updated by the chef. The menu and food we ordered was as advertised. Friendly service, local as well as imported brews and wines, local art on the walls in one of the many old converted Breckenridge homes. We each ordered salads. I had the Autumn field greens with maytag blue and apples. The maytag, if you haven't had it, is a great tangy blue and went really well with the sweetness of the apples and vinaigrette. My wife had a special salad with grilled peach and parmesan - again, a great combination of sweet and savory. We split a tuna sandwich, and yes, this was not your grandma's out of the can tuna. Fresh grilled albacore tuna, cooked right, and served on a roll with aioli sauce. Sweet potato fries were killer. That left us room for dessert - we had the Irish Coffee pot de creme. Delightful, none left when we left. Reasonably priced, we may come back before leave at the end of the week.

Enjoyed a very good dinner on July 4. The restaurant was bustling for the holiday. We had the tamale special and the meatloaf; both very tasty. We shared the salad with fried pancetta and watermelon. Mmmm. The atmosphere is pleasant with lots of window seating and a good patio. Service was good. Would definitely dine here again.

After looking for a new place to go in Breck we made reservations after reading all of the great reviews. Great food. Great service. The trout was amazing and the Creme Brulle was an excellent finish to the meal. A bit noisy at times inside so it was hard to carry on a conversation, but we loved the atmosphere and would go back.

I've been to Twist three times now and enjoy it. Once was just for drinks and appetizers, and twice for dinner. The drinks are good and the staff is very friendly. The meals/apps can be hit or miss (last night's curry fried oysters weren't great) but our pot pies were. I appreciate that even in high season you can usually get a table without too much of a struggle. I plan to keep supporting this restaurant and think the food will only improve with time.

Almond crusted ruby red trout was outstanding. Pardon the beer review for a restaurant but the Tank 7 Farmhouse Ale by Boulevard Brewery they have is a better Belgian style farmhouse ale than most Belgian examples available in the US. Cream of tomato soup was also great (in early September).

Hello American comfort food! If you like chicken pot pies and crab mac n' cheese, this is the place for you. Apparently, this place has only been open for a few months, but is already taking the village of Breckenridge by storm. As an adorable house filled with white wood paneling and warm colors, this place is so cute it makes you want to hug a kitten to death. After sitting down at our round table for 6, I immediately was confronted with a problem - I wanted to get everything on the menu. I salivated as I greedily eyed the list of comfort food and inventive specialty cocktails, full of girly ingredients like elderflower, green tea, and lemon honey. After agonizing over all the possible combinations of my meal, I finally decided on the chicken pot pie, apparently one of the joint's most popular dishes. Rich and creamy with a delicate puff pastry floating on top, it was definitely deserving of its title. The appetizers were equally delicious. We got the veggie chips and hummus, truffle potatoes, and crab mac n' cheese. The veggie chips and hummus were the highlight of the night - a combination I had never thought of before, but once tasted, was clearly a match made in heaven: Real veggies fried into chips accompanied by a lightly whipped hummus - why hadn't anyone thought of this before?!

Two of us took an impromptu trip up to Breck for the night and decided to stop by Twist for some dinner, based on the rave reviews from Yelpers. We had a really fantastic, casual meal. Our server was on-point and friendly, we got a great table, and the food was fantastic. We tried the zuchinni hush puppies, the meatloaf, the chicken and waffle, and split a peach dessert. Everything was incredibly delicious, especially the meatloaf! I was also really impressed by the rice-waffle. It gave the chicken/waffle dish a really savory twist. We left full and happy and would definitely recommend it to anyone who enjoys comfort food and a relaxed atmosphere.

Overall great experience. The drink selection is very good, ranging from unique cocktails, good wine selections by the glass and bottle, to Old Milwaukee by the can. We didn't order the Old Mil, but interesting touch in a place with casual atmosphere and unique and quality food. I ordered the trout and it was the best I have had. Our service was very good and timely. The only negative is the lack of vegetarian options. My girlfriend ordered vegetarian sides to make a meal that worked out, but pretty much exhausted her menu options.

Breckenridge is home to numerous fantastic cutting edge gourmet restaurants, and Twist is definitely a forerunner. My family, my wife, her family, and I ate here the night before our wedding and we all were incredibly impressed with the service and food. I had the salmon dish, which was exquisite, and the peppermint creme brulee, which had such a fantastic and dynamic flavour that I have not experienced with this kind of dessert. The food indeed is a twist on classic comfort foods, but don't expect to recognise many of the dishes as they take liberty with said comfort food cuisine. The food has the refined, trendy culinary edge mixed with the classic flavours and ingredients of comfort food. Plating is superb as well. The decor and atmosphere matches the food well, featuring the modern interiour design with a touch of homeyness. Our waitress did an excellent job and later revealed that it was her first evening working at Twist. I would have never known had she not told us. Overall, Twist is a fantastic place for those who love cutting edge and contemporary cuisine. There are many many excellent restaurants in Breck, but I definitely recommend taking the time to eat here. If you want classic meat-and-potatoes comfort food, this may not exactly be the place that will suit your desired dining experience.

Food was alright. Wouldn't suggest the curry oyster appetizer; sounded good in writing, but did not hit the spot and left a weird aftertaste. The staff were helpful and knowledgeable about the food and drinks; this is why the restaurant is getting 3 stars instead of 2. The food was definitely out-shined by the service. Bar type atmosphere downstairs and a more restaurant feel upstairs....cute place to eat.

The night before we had a pretty shabby experience & meal at one of the other "hot spots" in town. I was dying for a good meal and found it here. A quaint delightful atmosphere. They are not trying to serve too many at once and that is what makes this place a gem. They can concentrate on serving good food. Reservations are a good idea. But, a couple came in after us and their wait was only 25-30 mins. It was a stormy night though. Good for comfort food. My husband and I both had the Spiced Mule for a pre-dinner cocktail. It was the perfect blend of whiskey and ginger beer, with a hint of lime. I ordered the wings (which were actually pork shanks) cooked to a crispy perfection and glazed with blue cheese. The giardinera that it was served with was an excellent pickled compliment. We shared the salad which was dressed lightly with a champagne vinaigrette and served with, crisp prosciutto, goat cheese and watermelon. I do not usually like fruit in my salad but this combination was delicious! My husband had the most tender, moist, waygu beef & pork smoked bacon meatloaf that you could imagine. My mouth is watering just thinking about it. Overall a wonderful experience. From atmosphere, to service to the fabulous meal. I forgot to mention the gelato. Try the cinnamon toast crunch and pistachio. To die for creamy goodness! If we lived here we would come often. We will definitely return when we visit again. Try it, it's amazing!!!!

Awesome food, fabulous ambiance...but if you want bread with your meal or real ketchup....this is not your place. It's comfort food with a twist, vis a vis the name. One if our favorites!

I recently visited for dinner (Friday night, 2/10/2012). We had a very nice waitress, Jocelyn. She was helpful and prompt. My only complaint is that while I was eating, and clearly unsatisfied, I don't think she gave me a good enough opportunity to express my dissatisfaction (again, not entirely her fault, but a sentiment that was probably noticeable). We had friends in from New York, so they are used to high prices. But, having lived in Breck before, I know the quality and flavor you can get for a reasonable price. I ordered the Pot Pie ($21 I think). It was highly recommended based on other Yelp reviews, but it was more like chicken mush. In fact, I don't know if they even put salt or pepper on it before serving. Either way not worth $21. The girls got cocktails, some fancy "Twist" things, but were both rather dissatisfied. Other dishes that were ordered were the Elk Meatloaf, Lamb and Macaroni. The Macaroni was a $13 side dish and was good, but very small. The others were satisfied with their dishes, being the plates were somewhat unique and offered food that they normally wouldn't get in NYC. Aside from the unique meats, nothing special. The ambiance is nice and intimate. Overall, it looks like this place has some potential, a good menu, a nice restaurant and great location; however, when it came to execution Twist definitely fell short. I might try again for happy hour, but until it pulls its stuff together, I will not be back for dinner.

Went for happy hour, ordered the hot butter rum & a daily bartender's special. The rum was really good, but the thyme infused special was pretty acidic and couldn't taste much thyme. Ordered pork tacos w/ black bean pico, salmon pate, and sweet potato fries. The pork tacos were served in a hardshell taco which got a little soggy before you could finish the taco, but the pork was delicious and tender. The smoked salmon pate combined with all the other elements on the plate overwhelmed the wonton chips and we ran out of chips and had to finish the seaweed salad and salmon pate like a salad and the taste and texture became a little unbalanced. The crinkle cut sweet potato fries were delicious- the crinkles pick up a nice amount of house-made ketchup, which we found to be extremely delicious. We would suggest serving the ketchup in a side dish, it would make dipping the fries much easier than scraping them through ketchup squeezed out on a plate. Service was great, bartender was friendly, professional, and right on with service. Would definitely go back to try other things on the menu.

Bar only. We went for a drink and appetizer before dinner at another place. Bartender was friendly and hh menu was perfect for what we needed. Hummus and pita was really good and the drinks were as well. Didn't have a chance to see the dinner menu, but its a place I would go again.

What a great addition to the Breckenridge dining scene. I visited here for happy hour on the 4th of July and loved the outdoor patio seating. There was a mixed group of diners, from older groups to dates to a bachelorette party. We had cocktails and a variety of appetizers and I loved the spicy take on a shrimp cocktail. The prices were reasonable and the food was unique (rattlesnake corndogs?). I'm excited to visit again for the full dinner menu. Also, open late for Breck.

Amazing food and awesome atmosphere! Everything we have had from here has been top notch. My mouth still waters over their mac and cheese! Cant wait to see what new things they come up with next! Great addition to the dining in Breckenridge.

We ate at Twist last night on the recommendation of a local-it was great! I had the Buffalo and Veal Meatloaf with Sweet Onion gravy and it was really tasty. It was served with a side of Truffled Mac n' Cheese which was also very good. The prices were reasonable and the service was good.

Great dinner - the meatloaf was awesome as was the Mac n cheese. We'd eat here again next time we're in Breck!

This was my 3rd time here. Food is great and restaurant is clean and modern. First two visits were soon after the restaurant openend. What I learned on this most recent visit is Twist needs to figure out how to handle itself when busy. Hostess was not around as people were lined up out the door - waiters completely ignored the line. Once seated there was a substantaial delay before water glasses were filled or waiter arrived.

Wonderful atmosphere....casual but still chic. To die for takes on home cooking. Lamb meatloaf....heavenly. Duck sausage stew with white beans....omg delicious. Average cost for a mountain town.....on the high side. Worth every penny. Yummy!

They took reservations and seated us within a few min. of arriving. The menu is very small- and changes often. We sat for drinks and appetizers (we had the specialty wings & specialty fries). Food wasn't as amazing as we had hoped. Drinks were good- pricy. Nice restaurant- we would have loved to see more on the menu.

Happy hour 4-6 is awesome! See menus I posted! Super busy at 5pm. Sat at the bar-solo. Felt super comfortable. I had to try their Winter version of Amoretto Sour, not on the happy hour list, but I highly recommend. You know they say pasta will help with altitude sickness, so yes please to Mac n Cheese. Good portion. Nice consistency. Highly recommend. Also had the Devil Eggs. Creamy and oh wow amazing! Absolutely recommend and will be back next year! Wish the husband was with me so I could have ordered more food! :)

Went for happy hour, was not disappointed. Server(s) super knowledgeable and helpful. Drink and food specials totally reasonable. Bartenders special was great! Only had one app (chicken wings), and was a 4/5.
