My kind of bar! After an exhausting hike up Royal Arch trail, we chugged at least 2 gallons of water each before diving in to Colorado beer. The bartender was friendly, it was Happy Hour, and we were served attentively and given great recommendations. A local gem in a tourist area.

Avoid if you're from out of state or from a state where they aren't familiar with the licenses. They unnecessarily snapped my license claiming it was fake ( it isn't ) and put me through two hours of hell and embarrassment, requiring me to call the police to confirm my identity to even get my license back. The management was unapologetic. This is the worst experience I have ever had in a bar. There has to be better places to visit in Boulder.

I went here a few years ago and tried their Reuben sandwich. It was a late night - I had far too many drinks. My blood sugar was about to hit an all-time low. Enter: Reuben sandwich. This Reuben was not just good, it was an almost literal lifesaver. I returned last night with some friends. I was a little apprehensive to try their Reuben - why ruin such a good memory of the perfect Reuben? Certainly that level of quality is not attainable twice. But alas; this Reuben was just as good. The fries were also fine, but holy shit, that Reuben sandwich gets me all tingly down there just thinking about it. I hear their burgers are also awesome but get the fucking Reuben.

Burgers are almost better than Reuben's (and would be if they had pretzel buns). If you wanna turn up come here around 10PM.

Came in for a late lunch. Was awkward trying to figure out how to order food. Was ok and cheap but is probably more suited for late night bar time. Bar food.

I used to begin and end my weekend roaming of The Mall here, anchoring my forays into the surreality of Boulder with some solid beer and a smoke (back when you could smoke downstairs). I'm happy to report that as of last night nothing has changed, except smoking (and vaping) is now out, but the food has gotten absolutely amazing. When you first walk in it seems like a tiny neighborhood watering hole that sarcastic Boulder bastards would call "cozy", but there also is a downstairs with pool tables, darts, and more along with seating, and on the ground floor an area in the back by the kitchen order window with more games and seating. Eat it, hippies. The beer selection only includes a half dozen or so drafts, but they're well chosen and served ice cold and they do have more in bottles. The bar staff is friendly and fun and the kitchen, as I mentioned, cranks out food that will have you coming back for more. The hot wings in particular are heavenly; don't let the fact that they're small-ish fool you, you know how they taste so much better if they came from deliriously happy chickens. I loved this place 19 years ago, and love it even more now.

Whoa, the food here is seriously good! Like, really good. Not at all what you would expect from a little pub on Pearl Street, a pretty touristy area. The grilled cheese was bomb. Doesn't come with fries though, although the cook did say he puts a few on the plate, "just for looks." HA! The happy hour was great, I think it was from 10-close. Several pints to choose from for $3. Loved everything about this place, even though it was mostly filled with (young) college students late on a Thursday night.

I'll never go back to this bar again. In fact, I would have to be paid to even consider going. The 'bouncers' are on a power trip- turning away business since they are college drop outs that can't get a real job. The blond meat head door guy really thinks he's superior as he sits on his cold metal chair outside in the weather, checking to make sure customers IDs are horizontal instead of vertical. Many years did you study that in college? Stay away from this awful bar.

It's nice to find a good dive bar here and there. Yes, it's loud. Yes, the tables have been carved by numerous guests. And yes, it smells like beer. But man, do fried mac and cheese wedges taste good at 1 a.m. Along with the fried mac (which came with hearty french fries), we sampled the sliders. Good bread, good beef, and really tasty and thick grilled onions. Pair those with a local IPA and you've got a successful late-night nosh.

Terrible place. Bouncers seem to pick at random who is too intoxicated solely to impress there boss. Saw a sober man not let In with no explanation while three of the drunkest people i have ever seen let right in. Like others have said this place is not worth the harassment from the bouncers.

I will rarely write a negative review, but on this circumstance I feel it's necessary that I voice my opinion about The Pub after being there the other night. Upon ordering our very first drink of the night and asking for a couple dollars in quarters in order to play foosball the bartender (which we learned later that night was the manager, bald headed bearded dude) SLAMMED our change down and stormed away. Later in the night (an hour or so) I went back to order a jack and coke. When he came back with my drink he asked what my deal was, I responded, "honestly, I am appalled by your bad attitude". He immediately snatched my drink and slammed (glass) onto the floor followed by him calling me a b*tch and telling his security to have me removed. I do not go out much nor was intoxicated by any means. I was just honestly answering his question in which he obviously didn't care to hear. I was completely thrown back by this and have never been treated so rudely in my life. I have been in the industry for many years prior and know that treating customers and guest this way is unacceptable. I do not condone this behavior hence my review for I have never written a negative review. He needs to be fired.

This is a standard bar/pub. There's a limited sandwich menu you can order from and they call your name out and you go get it. It's very low-key. The grilled cheese I had was delicious and my boyfriend enjoyed his burger. It's not health food by any means, but it was tasty. The bartenders were friendly and efficient too. There's a cellar downstairs with games and screens with different games on. I enjoyed it. It's low-key and has lots of regular customers.

Had a blast a couple weeks ago with my friends & fiancé. Great prices, cool crowd, & pool. Could switch it up on the music from time to time. But overall it's a good place to kick it.

So glad we tried this place! Since it's located on the touristy Pearl Street Mall, we never would have stopped in if we hadn't seen the excellent reviews on Yelp. This place is first and foremost a bar. Two dark shotgun levels, with minimal table seating, pool tables, dart boards, TVs, etc. Not a restaurant. However.... the food is fantastic. Sweetie and I both got burgers and fries, and I've gotta tell you, I can't remember ever having had a better burger. No exaggeration. Excellent quality beef, fresh tasty toppings, good bun, and bestill my heart, the patty was actually medium rare, exactly as I had ordered. (I always ask for medium rare when ordering a burger anywhere, more for the theoretical concept than for the actual enjoyment, because most places NEVER actually cook it correctly. But this place did. Woohoo!) Wow, I've got to say it again. Fantastic burger!!!!!!! And the fries were also wonderful- hot and fresh from the frier, seasoned with salt (but not too much) and black pepper. Didn't need ketchup or any other enhancement. Must send our compliments to the cook (I think his name was Pat?). He did a fantastic job. Hope management appreciates him!! We visited during Happy Hour (3p-7p daily), which has ridiculously good deals. An 8oz cheeseburger with fries? $5. No kidding. And 12oz microbrews were $3. Again, not kidding. We paid $3 for Upslopes here, while Upslope at its own tasting room charges $5.50 for 10oz of the same brew. All other food is $1 off per. If the rest of the vittles are as good as the burgers, this place truly rocks. ***12/2013 UPDATE: So sad! They've stopped offering their $5 burger and fries at Happy Hour.

Went here with my girlfriend and another couple around 4pm on Sunday. We wanted to play some darts and were pleasantly surprised to find a small room with two boards, designated to darts. Upon more inspection, we found two pool tables and two foosball tables. Wound up staying here till around 7pm and having a blast. We even ordered the Mac n' Cheese bites and however unhealthy they are, there were pretty damn good! I have heard that at night the bar can get kinda sketchy with people fighting and some shady characters coming in. As far as I am concerned, this place is great and a nice stop while drinking on Pearl St.

Not sure this review will make a difference. But tonight I went to the Pub and was refused service. I'm not drunk, I'm not belligerent, and I'm not sure why I was denied a drink. Regardless, I will never go to this bar again. It's unfortunate because I'm a local...I don't expect special service, but I expect good and respectable service... Very sad.

Interesting spot. Love the food but skeptical of the crowd.. Their bounces can be on the impolite side as well.

We discovered the joys of the pearl street pub when looking for a divey place to start drinking. By the chubby old guys sitting outside, we knew we had found the right place. The well drinks during happy hour are super cheap and strong. The food is greasy but delicious and typical pub fare. On a grad student salary this is the perfect place to unwind and get something tasty to drink. Also, before 7 the pool tables are free so it's definitely worth it to go to happy hour for cheap drinks and free pool.

  • Ken B.

Saw some other post reviews, so I had to check it out. The prices were great ($3 drafts/$5 cheeseburgers on Tuesdays), and the bartender gave great service. Even though this is a "dive" bar. I didn't feel disgusted by anything and felt great walking in. The drafts on tap were awesome and the atmosphere was lively enough for a Tuesday night. Great songs playing (I think he was using an MP3 player) and just a great place to hang out. Would definitely come back

I came here late night three times with my cousins as we were in town visiting family. I have never been to Colorado before so my cousin was our tour guide. We came to one of her favorite places, Pearl Street Pub and Cellar. This place is very interesting walking in. It looks like a small room, however looks are deceiving. There is a whole back area with pool tables as well as a downstairs area. We stayed downstairs all times we came here. The pool tables were packed; they had a sign up list to even play! We had a wonderful time with our inexpensive drinks, several of us had cranberry vodkas for about $2. They were strong and delicious! If you are ever in Boulder I highly recommend coming here and trying it out. You will have a wonderful time!

When we're not out celebrating someone's 21st, we usually end up here as our wind-down spot. It's got enough of a scene that it's fun but never overwhelming like some bars (coughDOWNERcough). The atmosphere is awesome - people are pretty darn friendly - and the bartenders pour some mean drinks. Food is really tasty, something of a pleasant surprise as compared to the usual Boulder bar fare. If I were more of a barfly, I would definitely be at the Pub more often.

  • Peter C.

Ahh the pub... classic old school boulder. Mediocre selection of drinks, but this place is all about the laid back, non yuppified/pretentious atmosphere. I've had great conversations here with all kinds of folks. Love the basement bar atmosphere. But the secret is the kitchen, where they serve up one of boulder's best burgers. It's been cooked perfectly every time, and sufficiently greasy/lowbrow, but delicious. The chicken club is also a fav!

  • Lauren S.

very quick service, loud and fun. GREAT BAR FOOD! pool tables, darts, foosball. They make the drinks strong so thats always a plus. And its one of the places that isnt surrounded by drunk college students.

  • Matt T.

Cool, unpretentious pub with some good food and drink deals. I had friendly service both times I've been there with a rotating cast of characters at the bar. The bartender kept both the drinks and conversation flowing. Different food and drink specials depending on the day and time, but had a nice fish and chip special on a Friday for 6.00. This isn't a sparkly clean Applebee's type place...nor would I want it to be. :-) Overall, well done.

This bar is bad ass!! I wish we had one like it in San Francisco. Anything that has Foosball, three pool tables, a dart room and some random beer I have never heard of in a can that tastes decent gets 5 stars in my book. Hey I'm easy! Ok maybe 4.5 stars because it doesn't have anything super unique like bocce or skeeball. It'd be pretty awesome if they could expand and put a real shuffleboard court down there. You hear that! Someone who has been to your bar twice and doesn't even live in the town is telling you what you should do to make her happy. That's what kind of yelper I am, this is all about me, who cares about everyone else. Besides the games the layout is pretty sweet and the basement is dope. Out of the ten bars in Boulder, ok ok I'm sure there are more, this was my favorite. Granted we only went to 5 of the 10 but its top notch. It has everything you could want not to mention it serves food! I know I wasn't making sense when I ordered but just like the Ozzy commercial he figured it out and gave me half fries and half mushrooms. Its a great last supper when you know you are being fed a tofurkey the following day. Sorry vegans, I support your cause just not my style. The day after the tofurkey we watched about 3 hours of burgers across America and I was salivating. Sooo good, especially the one in Minnesota where they put cheese in the middle and it oozes out when you bite into it. Off topic, although if the Pub did serve that burger it might be worthy of 6 stars. So there you have it, if I ever head back into town this will be my first stop. This and then nitro.

We were just walking the Pearl Street Mall, and decided we wanted a drink. We'd never been in here, but we decided the name of the place was good enough for us to give it a try. Inside, the place reminded me of many, many pubs I've been in in different cities. Brick walls, photos on the wall, TV's, game tables, and a very narrow walkway. It's thin. The service was very responsive, and immediate, even thought the place was not empty. We wanted Bloody Marys - spicy - and this place did not disappoint The Bloody Mary was as close to perfect as I'd every tasted, and it was actually spicy, the way I ordered it. I was particularly surprised that it only cost $5.00, and I was led to believe that's the regular price, not a special price. Yeah, I'll remember this place, and, when I come back to Boulder, I'll make it a point to stop in for another Bloody Mary. We loved this place.

This place has awesome burgers at very reasonable prices. I had a few hours to kill and was dying from altitude sickness...with a pounding headache. the burger and fries were both cooked to perfection and welcome pain killing comfort food. the coolest part was it was slow and I felt like crap and wasn't drinking beer, nothing but water and the bartender was very cool and didn't make me feel weird for sitting at his bar and not drinking booze.

Found this place through a Yelp search. My hubby and I are Baby-boomers always looking for a place to slip away for day off (typically Mondays) and we really like this place! Darts and pool tables in tucked away cubbies, lots of old brick creating an atmosphere conducive to the "ahhhhh-factor". And it's Monday early evening so I'm sure this is a low key version of this pub's normal night life. Fine with me! We can hear ourselves talk while listening to some great familiar 70's rock +. Good food, best Philly we've had in CO. But don't come on Mondays...we like the intimacy.

I just wish this place would make up their minds if its 21 and older or not. One week they are and then the next it isn't. MAKE UP YOUR MINDS!!!!!! And one other thing the bartender from New Jersey is the best at least he has a personality the other bartender has the personality of wall paper paste.

This place is one door down from Old Chicago, and my friend and I stopped by for a quick drink. The service was quick even though it was busy. I tried to order a margarita, which they didn't have, but they offered to make something like it. The atmosphere is very laid back and we met people of all types in here. I'd go back.

The worst bar in Boulder. I have never had such a rude bartender. It was literally the first time in my life that I didn't tip a bartender. I felt like he was doing everything he could to get me out of the bar. I am a very polite person and was nothing but pleasant when I ordered. The bartender spit venom at me. Do not go.

This bar is a really good time!! I don't go out in Boulder much but this place was super fun and I would definitely go back. Lots of fried food, stiff drinks, good atmosphere. I have nothing against CU students but I did find it refreshing that this place did not appear to be overrun with them.

Being the sometimes-living-years-in-the-past scenester that I am, my memories of this place are all from when it was called Flaps. Same building, different ownership, probably. Friends playing pool in the basement. Interesting things hanging from the ceiling upstairs. People going back and forth from Flaps to the Sundown. Those were the days...and I don't much miss them. I was there briefly with friends recently and it seems so much more normal...less intense somehow. I'm getting old...that's the bottom line...

Where the locals go. Sit outside and you will enjoy some awesome people watching. Again, a less than stellar beer list like Absinthe which is sad. But a good mix of people that you are sure to strike up a conversation with...

This place is great. First of all, it's pretty big. The front bar has a nice mix of Boulder locals, students, an Pearl St tourists. I doubt youll find patrons fist pumping. The prices are right and the bartenders are friendly. The food is pub food, done properly, meaning it's basic but tasty. The burger, in particular, was very good. I Would certainly recommend this bar to folks going to Boulder. It's a nice local watering hole.

I am slightly drunk right now as a result of this bar. Be warned as you read this review. Recently moved to Boulder and have been looking for a good all around drinking establishment. I feel I have found a good one in the Pearl Street Pub. Good beer, live music, good smelling (ate before we came in) pub grub and an awesome room downstairs with pool tables, foosball, darts etc. This place just has the vibe. Not fancy, not pretentious- just a good bar with a collection of regulars and transients that somehow all feel comfortable. Within 10 minutes of entering, I felt like I was at home. Looking forward to going back. Only negative is that I wish I lived a little closer, but I can't afford to live near the Pearl St. Mall. Update- went again on a Friday- super crowded. Still fun.

I went to Pearl Street Pub and Cellar the other night with a group of friends and had a great time. The place was very crowded at the bar however the staff was quick and friendly and before I knew it I had a drink in my hand. You have to love a place that has $3 microbrews for Happy Hour. Overall, I really enjoyed the atmosphere and the service I received. I can't wait to go back.

Stumbled upon this place and loved it! Cheap food that was delicious and cheap local beers. Lots of locals hanging out watching football, very friendly. Nice, little patio to relax on and people watch. We will come back for sure!

Great atmosphere for a get to know you pub... locals and travelers hang out to make connections... didn't try the food. Lots of adult toys such as, darts, pool, Foosball, pin ball and socializing!

Pearl Street Pub and Cellar is located in the Pearl Street Mall at the cross street of Pearl and 11th. It is right next door to Old Chicago's, one spot down from the southwest corner. My co-workers described this place as having the best cheeseburger in all of Colorado. Quite an impressive claim, which I had to validate for myself. First, a little bit about the place. Pearl Street Pub is split into in two levels, with a small sized bar on the top level, and another bar downstairs. The bar downstairs has limited seating, but does offer patrons a multitude of games including Foosball, darts, and pool. A fine selection of bar games! Supposedly, this place serves a full food menu later than any other bar in Boulder, keeping the grill fired up and serving food until 1:30 AM. I believe there is live music every Wednesday night, although apparently you can find a lively crowd here every night of the week. You can tell this place has a loyal base of regulars, but I did not get the feeling that a new comer would be unwelcome. Anyways, back to the food. Not only is this place supposed to have the best cheeseburger in all of CO, but on Tuesday, they offer their excellent Cheeseburger with pub fries for only $4.50. Let me repeat, a 1/2 pound angus burger with french fries for four bucks and fifty cents! To top it off, they offer pints of all beers on tap for $2.50 all day long! I ordered the cheeseburger and a cold pint and the total came to a whopping $6.50. I was truly impressed. The burger was cooked to a perfect medium rare, which I did not even have to specify. I say perfect because it was pink through-out with out being too rare and bloody. The burger was seasoned nicely, and the condiments were fresh and plentiful. Even the bun was tasty and nicely toasted. The fries came with both salt and pepper, my personal favorite way to eat them. It was a struggle, but I managed to finish the burger. In conclusion, if you find yourself on Pearl Street on a Tuesday, check this place out, you will not be disappointed. Whether or not it is the best cheeseburger in CO I can not say, but I am willing to bet it is the best, or at least one of the best, cheeseburgers you can find for under $5. It sure as hell beats any fast food restaurant or burgers that cost twice as much. I held off on giving it five stars only because I have no idea what anything else on the menu is like, and whether or not the bar is a cool place at night. Regardless, I see many more Tuesday 1/2 pound angus burgers in my future at this place!

I think whenever anyone moves to Boulder this is on their list of places to immediately hit up. When I moved into town this was the 1st places my former roomie took me. The scene is rugged casual for sure so don't get too fancy or you will feel stupid next to all the mounted animal heads on the wall. There are 2 levels in this places. You buy your beer up top and go downstairs to play all the games (pool, fooseball, etc.) If memory serves me correctly the beer is decent and cheap. You should hit this place up at least once in your lifetime.

There were $3 microbrews for happy hour, and the bar tender was super friendly. I was only here for one beer, but the place seems like a pretty cool place to hang out and play some pool.

The Pub gets 4 stars for delivering a quality experience for the price. This "hole in the wall" bar boasts a fun atmosphere and delivers a night of fun for a reasonable price. I like the people in here and the staff. Pool tables and Foosball downstairs provide some fun activities to enjoy with friends and they have live music upstairs most nights. I enjoy seeing "Chicken Noodle Funk" play here, they rock! I think crappy american light beers are $2.50 and average $4 beers for the micros. They have some cheap beers at happy hour as well. I didn't know they had food there until I read a previous review so I ventured to the Pub to check it out. I thought that the food was really great if you aren't looking for anything healthy. We both got Philly's and they were awesome. The fries were amazing (crispy and golden and flavorful) and every day they have a special sandwich of the day for 4 bucks!!! They have plenty of finger food to munch on for appetizers but I can't really justify getting them when I can get a bomb sambo and fries for 4 bucks! I have also seen salads on the menu but I'm skeptical... if anyone has tried them please let me know!

Aw, the pub! I haven't ever reviewed this place, but I did used to end up here a lot. I have fond memories of spending my friend's bachelorette party here, drinking beer on St. Pat's day (and her adding green food coloring to her beer, because she had to have green beer :) haha). A nice local bar. Every time I've been it hasn't ever been too ridiculously crowded, which I appreciate. Especially since it isn't a huge place. I'm sure someday I'll find myself here again!

Ahhh the Pearl Street Pub! My friends and I have claimed this "our bar" within our little group. For all of you who are out of college but still young enough for the Boulder scene, The Pub is the perfect transition. A slightly older crowd (with the exception of a handful of 21 year olds who come in to kiss the buffalo and then leave) and an awesome hangout spot! Cool bartenders. Cool bar. Strong drinks and a good beer selection. You can listen to live music upstairs during the week or mosey on down to the basement to shoot pool or play Foosball. In addition to the bar, there is little grill in the back of the top floor on which awesome food is cooked to order! Whether you drop by on a Sunday afternoon with friends for a pint and a patty melt on the patio, or share a basket of mini corndogs and fried macaroni & cheese at 1 in the morning to help absorb several pints of beer, the food is greasy pub deliciousness!

The Pub is where it's at. It was my go to bar in college and I still love to stop in when visiting Boulder. Unpretentious crowd, great live music and stiff drinks at a great price.

If the walls could talk I figure they wouldn't remember me because there are alot of people that come and go from this pub. I went here alot. They had stiff drinks and a great waitstaff. Many of whom I befriend over the years. I used to go for the pub quiz which consisted of ordering a drink and then getting asked a trival pursuit question. If answered correctly the drink was free (minus the tip of course). I got very wasted here many tuesdays when they played the quiz. If you give them the secret sign I bet they will pull the questions out from under the bar and do one for old time sake.

Since moving here from Seattle I hadn't been able to find 'that local bar' that I can relax and chat with whomever I'm seated next to. The PSP is my new place. The prices are right, it has that well lived in feel, and UNBELIEVABLY GOOD food. After a few drinks (my first time there) I asked the doorman where I should go to get a bite to eat. He responded with "the philly cheese steak is so good here that if you don't like it I'll buy it from you and eat it myself." Enough said.

Great spot. Hit it up on a Sunday and caught the open mic night. I was impressed with the selection of Scotch they had available and doubly impressed with the price. My boyfriend and I just sat back and chilled for a good few hours enjoying the music and the drinks. Would love to head back on a busier night and play around on all the pool tables and games downstairs too.

In 1997, my friend Marko and I were traveling around the country. We ended up in Boulder for a few days--my first visit to the city. Both foosball junkies, and alcoholics, we were looking for a place where we could feed both addictions. We set up shop at the Pearl Street Pub and Cellar for days. When I moved to Boulder 6 months later, I revisited the bar, and have been there hundreds of times over the years. So many times, in fact, that I don't know which memories to call up. Let's see: There was the work party where we drank Black Velvets all night... The time I met with an ex-girlfriend I hadn't seen in years and we made out in one of the basement's many cubby holes... The time I made out with one of my best friends... The excellent pool games in the back room of the upstairs... The hilarious men's bathroom that seems to have been an old freezer at some point... The night I played foosball and drank until closing then woke up with Bell's Palsy the following morning... All those Trivia Tuesday questions I answered to earn free beers! So, yeah, go to this place. Just duck your head in the basement.

Pearl Street Pub ROCKS!!!!! Great Sunday night open mic night along with a nice atmosphere. The prices are more than fair with an excellent selection of good scotch's. If I lived in Boulder this would be my local watering hole.

The Pearl Street Pub and Cellar is just one of the numerous, numerous bars in Boulder. Now what sets the Pub apart from other bars is that it is actually a pretty cool place - not too crowded - to hang out in as compared to other shit-holes (technical term) like the Scum Downer, Walrus, or Reef; the beer is cheap on tap, the place is cozy, and the bi-level and adequate outdoor seating is definitely a plus in terms of accommodation. Anyway, I've been here a few times and was taken here by a date once to play darts (downstairs, next to the foosball tables and across from the small pool table), who is now my loving girlfriend. The downstairs even has its own bar, which is cool. The food is solid as well as Sam H has noted. I got the garden burger which was quite good, as were the fries. In fact you know what? I was going to give this place 4 stars but after writing this review I realize this place really deserves its 5th star when put into comparison with all the other bars around. So check this place out....it is so much better than Old Chicago, seriously.

So if you were looking for Mike Rowe's brother, I think I may have found him. He's a bartender at the Pearl St. Pub & Cellar. Not really, but he did sound like Mike Rowe (Dirty Jobs.) So anyone who hangs a huge buffalo head has got to be off to a great start. Nice atmosphere, not too busy during the day & on a monday. We didn't eat, but they advertised some decent lunch specials. The beer selection was the usual, which Avery Brewery has got the market covered in Boulder. The patrons at the bar were friendly. Our bartender, we'll call him Mike, helped us navigate our quest to find more delicious brews in Boulder. He also taught us some of the bike laws in CO. Which was very good to know, because bad things could've happened and I'm a little far from home to explain it. If I lived in this town Pearl St. Pub would be a most-def stop on my list at least once a week.

Deep fried mac n cheese with ranch. Do it! I love all the nooks and awkward shaped rooms; it's like a little labyrinth. Probably a good place to play hide n seek, ya know, if there weren't all those people there. It's an intimate space. They pack their live music into a corner, crowded by people constantly moving to the beat and from room to room. It makes you feel very... hip(ster--eeek!). For a more low key night, head down stairs for darts, foos, and pool.

The bar that looked best on Pearl St to me and my coworkers so we visited on 2 of the nights we were in town. The first night some drunk college girls were being lifted up to kiss the buffalo on the wall - I suspect this is a frequent occurrence. The second time we merely started our drinking here before moving on to the Sundown, which we had shunned the first night out because the music was too loud for talking. Nothing that special about this bar, but we had fun here. :)

Ah the Pub, or as I like to call it, my second living room, what wonderful things can I say that aren't totally obvious as soon as you walk in? Great staff, great drinks and excellent food (really it is). If you are looking for an unpretentious beer, shot, game of pool, friendly conversation-you have found your joint.

I can't say I have any complaints about Pearl Street Pub. It was far less crowded than the other bars in the surrounding area, offered cheap draught beers, and gave me the opportunity to take a ridiculous picture where I'm supposed to be kissing the buffalo! The staff was friendly and attentive and I was perfectly content!

Pearl St. Pub has a pretty good bar, both upstairs and in the cellar, spot-on prices, and good bar food (which is hard to come by late at night on Pearl Street). Despite all that, I've never had a really outstanding time here for some reason. A couple years ago they got fined for letting people smoke on their outdoor patio, which is only separated from the rest of Pearl Street by a small fence, so I sympathize with them for that.

Somethings never change in Boulder, and this is one of them. That is a good thing. Yeah, its changed hands over the years, and the name has changed too, but the atmosphere hasn't. It's a great local hang out where locals actually like to hang out. Just like most bars in Boulder, it suffers from the kiddies (CU Boulder students and their fake ids) and gets slammed pack at around 11pm. But hey, that's Boulder.

Unpretentious, mellow, cheap, divey, loud, bad music, prefect for a night of pool and darts when you don't want to get dressed nice and you're broke!
