Can we get one of these in Fort Collins, cause that would be great! My wife was in a ice cream mood, and I reluctantly ( ;-) ) obliged. Gosh, I am a nice guy, huh? ;0). Anyhow, they had some of the creamiest ice cream I have had in a long time. I tried a few good flavors, but in the end I went with maple honey, and some peanut butter deliciousness that was quite nice. I would have gone back for more had, I not made this pit stop prior to going to having my dinner. I love being an adult, dessert first...YUM. my wife had this coffee ice cream that was scrumtrulesent. I would make a special journey down here, just to have some more great scream. Better yet would be for Glacier to open up a shop up here in fort collins, as we need a good ice cream place as we don't really have any that are near this quality, and they would take down all their competitors. Oh yeah, BTW, I'm not a huge fan of giving 5 stars to places, so when I do, I mean that not only would I come back to this place, I would go out of my way to do so. So there you have it. I wonder if they deliver.......to fort collins.....i can wish, can't I??

Glacier has really really awesome ice cream (and gelato) and a great range of flavors. There are also coffee drinks and pastries. Great place to run into the neighbors.

Delicious ice cream and shakes and ice cream cakes! My favorite flavors: Junior Mint and Bailey's Chocolate Chip...yum.

Try as many flavors as they'll let you get away with! (Though this will admittedly not help you at all to decide what to get, as everything is pretty awesome.)

Truly the best ice cream in Boulder. The gelati is also quite good. Their flavors are creative and the components in each mix complement each other very well. Be wary of ordering too large a cup. The product is so rich, that it might be tough to get through a big one unless you bring your "A" eating game. The "birthday cake" ice cream flavor is a definite winner with the kids (sprinkles are embedded). If you bring your kids there is a separate playroom with a door and toys for those suffering from glucose hyperactivity. Take-away ice cream pints also allow you to violate all your dieting maxims. Coffee and pastries in the morning make Glacier a treat at all hours. Make sure to visit Glacier's cart on the Pearl Street Mall (1400 block).

Great, whole food ingredients. Bought locally and churned locally! A lot of variety and creativity with flavors too. Mexican chocolate is to die for!!

First let me say "Holy 500 flavors Batman!" And how! Here's just a sampling: Banana Pecan Fudge Brownie Birthday Cake (really tastes just like the real thing) Carrot Cake Chai Chocolate Pecan Brownie Latte Coconut Cappucino Chocolate Melt Jack Daniels Chocolate Chip Walnut Cafe Cinnamon Ginger Cookie ...and thats just 8 flavors! These guys are supreme ice cream mixologists. Their ice cream is deliciously fresh and homemade and then all the crazy combos they invent... don't be afraid to give something new a try, it'll be awesome, I promise. This particular location rocks my world because it's within easy walking distance of my house. But if that's not enough to sell you, they have free wi-fi and a full coffee and tea bar.

This ice cream is the type that makes you melt inside with happiness. I lived down the street for three years and never went until last night while I was visiting a friend. It's a good thing I didn't--I would have gained amazing amounts of weight from eating it all the time. I had the cookies and cream and then something with donkey in the name (it had oreos and carmel in peanut butter ice cream) and I couldn't decide which I liked better. I will be coming back every time I visit Boulder.

I can't rate this place high enough. They make their own ice cream. They're a local business. And everything is delicious. What more do you want? For me, one more thing: Non-dairy options, now that my doctor has put me on a non-dairy diet. Thanks to Glacier I'm missing the dairy, but not the decadence. They've got a fine selection of fruit sorbets. But for me, my ice cream substitute is the dark, rich Valrhona Chocolate sorbet.

hands down the best ice cream and best flavors in CO.

The Good: Best. Ice cream. EVER. They have an amazing selection of unusual & classic flavors, lots of gelato, milkshakes and even coffee. Their smallest non-kids size gets you two flavors, which is AWESOME--the only thing better than ice cream is two kinds at once! I always get their Bing Cherry (made with real cherries!) and classic chocolate, and every bite is amazing -- you can really tell the difference between their homemade, small-batch, high-quality ice cream and the mass-produced garbage at Dairy Queen. The Bad: Nothing! The Food: See "The Good" The Service: Order at the counter, they're nice & always willing to give out samples, try some of their crazy flavors! Overall: Best ice cream ever, don't bother with crappy corporations! Glacier uses the best ingredients and it makes the difference! You can tell they really care about making a quality product. I LOVE Glacier!!!!!

So good! Housemade ice cream, yum. I had butterfinger gelato, and it was the best thing ever. So many choices, but they give you samples if you ask! Fast, friendly, service.

Visited with my oldest son. Wasn't too terribly busy when we first walked in but that changed quickly. Staff was very friendly. It didn't seem like customers were used to standing in a line because everyone was all over, however, there were a lot of cases of ice cream to review. I had just received my ice cream and was about to order my son's when a teenage girl tried to order from my server. Server kindly told her she would be with her shortly. Ice cream was pricey but my son and I were satisfied with our flavor choices. The shop shares a bathroom with other businesses and my son and I both were appalled at the lack of cleanliness. We grabbed a couple cups of the free water available and headed outside to eat. The chairs and tables were dirty and wobbly. Could use some improvements but the ice cream was good.

I am a sucker for shops that make their own ice cream. I was at another dessert venue and asked the cashier where I should go for my 2nd dessert stop (#fattie). She said that Glacier would probably be the best ice cream I have ever tried. After a statement like that, how could I not go?!?! We drove through the snow (for a Texan, that's a pretty big deal) to get here so expectations were high. Inside, the ambience is nothing too exciting but the staff was very friendly and patient. My friend tried about 10 flavors and I didn't see the staff roll their eyes once! There are so many flavors to pick from and a lot of them are very unique or are an enticing flavor combination. I asked an employee for help on where to start and she highly recommended the red velvet mix. She informed me that the red velvet cake came from a local bakery (I just love that!). After sampling that and a couple of other flavors, I decided on the red velvet. The ice cream was delicious!! If you love red velvet, order this! My hubby got the chocolate cookie coffee ice cream sandwich. He really enjoyed the ice cream but found the cookie to be too hard and somewhat stale. If you need to satisfy your sweet tooth, this is an excellent option!

I love ice cream, and Glacier is my favorite place to get my fix! Great flavor combos, some unique and some traditional. The chocolate dipped waffle cones are deadly but oh so good! I love the light anise flavor, rarely still found in waffle cones but done correctly by Glacier. My husband's favorite is the raspberry chocolate melt, and I love any of the oreo flavors (mint cookies and cream, caramel cookies and cream, cookie jar...).

Beautifully basic, but phenomenal local Boulder ice cream. It's so Boulder, the owner even makes a few flavors infused with marijuana sold at local dispensaries! By far my favorite our their mixtures with the local Kim and Jake's cake company! There is tons of selections from the basics to stuff that would impress the biggest foodie. I have had many of friends work here as well and they have all given their word on the quality of the ice scream. I'm so glad this place is a couple blocks away!

Same place, different location. While strolling Pearl Street I saw a Glacier cart and saw my opportunity for a do-over. The cart only had a limited selection of flavors, but they had mint Oreo & freshly made waffle cones, need I say more. I quickly polished off my kid sized cone - the kids in Boulder must be huge because this was a lot of ice cream, but I was up to the challenge - and relaxed in the sun. It was the perfect way to cap off my afternoon & my trip to Boulder. I highly recommend this place although they can't beat Petersen's ice cream back home.

Oh my goodness. I thought Sweet Cow was awesome, and then I came here. The selection is incredible! Salted Butterscotch, Birthday Cake, Snickers, Mango Sorbet and the list goes on! Delusions in ice cream! The only reason they get 4 stars is because the ice cream my daughter had was soft.

Amazing ice cream shop. It is huge and they have tons of flavors.

None of the Glacier locations are particularly close to me so I don't go that often but they do serve good gelato and ice cream. The flavors rotate a lot so I need to be more open minded. I often get hooked on favorite flavors and am disappointed when not available. This is true of most places, not just Glacier, but I seem to notice it more here. The service was friendly. The parking convenient, which for Boulder is a big deal.

My family had 5 flavors, all of which we shared. Each one was a flavor explosion in our mouths - amazing. I wish I lived closer.

I have previously written a review for the Glacier in North Boulder, and this one is equally as good. Glacier's ice cream is as good as it gets. I think if they were to open a shop in Denver they'd certainly give Sweet Action, et. al. a run for their money. Their ice cream is the perfect cool, creamy consistency and their flavors our outstanding and truly unique without going overboard. I've said it before, and I'll say it now: try the Funky Donkey best flavor of ice cream ever. It's got caramel, peanut butter and oreos mixed in SO GOOD. I had a 1/2 scoop of that and a 1/2 scoop of a new one called Rice Krispie treat: a marshmallowy ice cream with chunks of the treats mixed in. YUM. If your making a day of Boulder, put one of their locations one of your itinerary.

I used to go here several times a week. No more. I order a thick shake. They replaced everyone working there about 2 years ago and none of the new people were taught how to do this. So after a couple of failures I stopped going. With that said, if you want something other than a shake. Or a shake this is milk with a small amount of ice cream, then what they have is good.

Glacier is the best ice cream I've had. This location has a huge selection of gelato and a huge selection of ice cream. It is AMAZING! Creamy, not too sugary, every flavor is well-made. My favorite is the birthday cake flavor - it tastes like frosting!

In a city that seems to have more "organic gelato" shops than ice cream stands, Glacier is KING! I'm not sure about how it holds up against the nation's favorites, but when it comes to Colorado, I don't think this place can be beat. Mint and Caramel Oreo. Caramel Brownie Blast. Vermont Maple Syrup. Nutella, Smore, well, I could go on for days. Wait... COOKIE JAR. Have you ever called an ice cream place to make sure they had your favorite flavor that day? Me neither... until Glacier. I like having options, and sometimes Two Spoons on Walnut is a nice change of pace, and I feel a little healthier. But what is the point?! Ice cream is meant to be enjoyed, in all its decadent glory. Glacier cannot be beat.

Tastier and cheaper than Cold Stone Delicious, creamy ice cream at a great price - what else needs to be said?

If you're in Boulder, you definitely have to pay a visit to Glacier for some awesome ice cream. They have tons of different ice cream flavors and they also have gelato, sorbet and smoothies. Sometimes they have some really funky flavors too. Today I went there and saw that they had a Lucky Charms flavor--it taste just like the cereal. Some of my favorite flavors are the Death by Chocolate, Cookie Dough and Nutella (Yes, Nutella!).

This place is decent, wide variety if choices, but ultimately too expensive. Even in Boulder.

Yum diddly yum! This place has both a fantastic ice cream flavor selection as well as a fantastic gelato selection! Hooray! I have ordered and sampled so many flavors it is hard to keep track. I think though, my favorite ice cream flavors to date from Glacier are Carmel Oreo and Cinnamon Fudge Chocolate Chip Cookie dough. Both are very rich any delicious. Nice staff, too! Glacier is definitely the best ice cream shop in Boulder (all of the locations are great).

AMAZING ICE CREAM! Take it from someone with a serious sweet tooth, Glacier is a cut above the rest. Their cookie dough ice cream is to die for. Every time that I got to Glacier, i have a great experience. The staff is extremely friendly and very nice. I can not wait to go back and try another new flavor. If you haven't tried Glacier, I suggest to get on it! STAT!

Without hesitation, I can say this is the best ice cream in Boulder. Local company, the freshest ingredients (Colorado peach gelato in late summer!), and the owner is frequently taking friend's suggestions for new flavors. I think that my life is pretty great because I happen to work at a coffee shop that serves Glacier gelato, so I get to eat it ALL THE TIME. I highly recommend eating raspberry sorbet with honey peanut butter gelato if you're a pb & j sort of person. They have so many flavors, including, like, 4 different varieties involving peanut butter. The coffee flavors are made with Amante coffee, so that's good.

The ice cream here was good. However, it is not Bluebird in Seattle or Ample Hills in Brooklyn or Jeni's in Columbus, OH so I can't give it a full five stars. It was the best ice cream that I have had in Colorado.

  • Dave B.

This is great ice cream and gelato, I'm just always surprised how much it costs. Lots of fun flavors, and we often stop here on our way home from a hike or a ski with the kids, as a treat for them. I usually just get a taster of one or two flavors and then buy them each a cone.

  • Evan T.

Glacier is by far the best ice cream shop in Boulder, though I've had better in other cities. They, like any good ice cream shop, make their own ice cream and gelato, both of which come in a variety of changing flavors. All are very solid ice creams, though I sometimes wish that they'd get a bit more creative. Definitely my go-to ice cream in Boulder, though.
