Great place to eat! Prices a touch high, but compatible with Colorado cost of living. Wife had chicken sandwich and considers it one of the best she has ever eaten. I had turkey dinner and it was superb. In my experience only home cooking might have the edge. But come to think of it, I have had some home cooked turkey that would most assuredly take a back seat to this. The 911 burger also gets very high marks. Service? Well give that high marks also. Give this place a try. I doubt that you will be disappointed!

I enjoy coming here, they have a great menu and nice atmosphere. The problem is- is that they are over priced...even for the roaring fork valley. 8$ kid plates, 14 dollar sandwiches and salads is too much for a casual restaurant. The pricing aside good food, great location and creative eats

Best fried chicken and best fish and chips in the valley. Oh, and the $5 goblets of 90 shilling are frosty, cold and HUGE! Have tried the pot pie (meh), spinach salad (pretty good), burgers (definitely upgrade to the bison), nachos (meh). No better place on a summer eve than their back patio. Service slows down to a crawl, but who cares. On that back patio all your worries fade away.

This place looked perfect, but then we ordered food. It wasn't good. Two of the three of us got sick. They ran out of a main ingredient on a pizza, but didn't tell us when we ordered and didn't offer any compensation otherwise. Also, the blasting pop country music was so loud we couldn't hear each other talk. Disappointment.

Not kid friendly at all. Will not go back and I used to go at least once a week. Very unfriendly staff.

We had a delightful late lunch - the nachos are awesome! Crisp not soggy with yummy, not-your-typical-run-of-the-mill flavors or ingredients. They're big but the two of us finished every bite. My husband had the chicken sandwich and I attempted to redeem myself by ordering the spinach salad. Every ingredient with fresh and well prepared. The sweet potato fries were some of the best in the Valley (yes, I sampled his). My salad had wonderful caramelized walnuts and fresh figs - a sweet offset to compliment the savory goat cheese and green apple slices. The service was attentive and pleasant. We're looking forward to returning soon.

Who would of thought that a "bar" would serve such good food? My husband and I decided to go there to grab a burger and a beer. This place is so much more than a burger and beer place. We had their mussels to start. The sauce was amazing and we found out it was freshly made every day. I had the special that was halibut, shrimp and mussels over linguine. It was perfectly cooked. To end our meal I ordered banana cream pie. My husband is not a fan of this flavor of pie. When it came out he said he would try a bite then ended up eating half the pie. I highly recommend this place. You will get a better meal then expected.

Get the nachos for your appetizer and you won't be sorry. Add pulled pork also. (Chicken or steak are options as well). I got the pulled pork sandwich for my entree and it was delicious. The barbecue sauce was a lot on there, so next time I might ask for it on the side and put it on myself. This place is delicious. One of my favorites

We were really hungry around 8 on a Saturday night. My husband just completed the Ragnar and I made a 5 hour drive from Denver to pick him up. The fries were excellent-burger ok. Bloody Mary was quenching. The buffalo bowl of chili was amazing with a ton of meat and flavor. The house salad was also yummy. Very nice place I would definitely go back!

I've been here twice now and just love it. Best nachos ever! They have a nice shady patio in the back, perfect for dining al fresco.

Not bad. Order wisely. No pizza, no fried chicken, and no fried pickles. Yes to Mac n cheese, Asian salad, burger, and sliders. I'm thinking they don't fry things well here. Large portions and the prices aren't bad. It's a neat bar restaurant and I like the ambiance. The food isn't great, but it'll do. It's okay. Okay is okay sometimes.

Great wood fired pizza! Cool atmosphere... Old dark bar area with big booths and big windows! 2 big TV's to watch sports on! Great quick service! Meat Lover pizza is delicious... Unless you eat a lot share it!

This place is great. I would have given it 5-stars but much like an Olympic judge, I feel I need to hold one back for who knows what in the future...Man/woman-up and order the jalapeno poppers. Most places don't have the cajones to serve something this powerful. Their buffalo sliders are fantastic...Great addition to the Basalt community.

My husband travels through the Western slope of Colorado once per month. Occasionally I tag along and each time I beg him to stop at The Brick Pony Pub for lunch. I've eaten here several times now and the experience has always been wonderful. The atmosphere is awesome. The drinks and beer selection are really good. The menu isn't the same old thing you see everywhere else. I've not yet tried a single food item that I didn't absolutely love. The service is perhaps a little slower than some other places but you're in Basalt - life moves a little more casually here. Slow down and enjoy your meal and beverage!

Good food. Chicken sandwich was excellent. Very accommodating to our large party ( lots of request). Definitely worth a stop in Basalt.

Food is usually pretty good, and the atmosphere has taken on a Country-Western type theme. Nothing special on the cocktail menu, but one downside is the beer. A draft beer is served in a 20 ounce goblet, that seems to weigh about 10 pounds. If you are at the bar or a table, this is okay, but if out for a night it gets very inconvenient as it is wide mouthed and heavy. Easy to spill. They will charge the same price for a regular glass with less beer. Service is always appropriate.

Great little place that I tried on a recommendation from a friend. There were 5 in our group and everything we got was excellent - the mussels, wings, sandwiches and the Brick Pony burger which I had. The burger was done as ordered - it's a shame that's even worth commenting on but these days it's rare. or, well, it's frequently not, which is the problem. If you're going to cook everything well -then tell me and I'll get something else. But I digress... Beers were huge. Service was excellent - helpful suggestions, attentive but not overdone. If you're looking for great food in a casual atmosphere without a fuss this is your place.

This place has a nice ambiance, especially the back patio, but the food is really average. I'd give it three stars if not for what went down with dessert. You see, I'd decided to go here specifically because of the Hot Chocolate Bread Pudding with Marshmallow Ice Cream. Bread pudding is my favorite dessert in the world and theirs sounded amazing. What I received was a grave disappointment. It was not bread pudding. It was a piece of warm chocolate sheet cake with ice cream in a bowl. And the cake tasted like it was straight from a box. Needless to say, I only had a few bites before I abandoned it altogether. I wanted to punch that bowl until my fists bled. Because I care deeply about bread pudding, I wanted to defend its honor and let the restaurant know that they show probably rename that item or else get a recipe for the real stuff. I waited until after we paid our check so that the waiter wouldn't think I was trying to get it for free. I politely let him know about the problem while he just stood there looking at me with a blank expression. When I finished my brief explanation he said, "Alright," and then walked away. So, on top of the truly mediocre meal, I wasn't too pleased with our server. But, seriously, that bread pudding is a travesty. If there were a court of law that protected restaurant patrons against bogus claims of delicious bread pudding, I would have placed the entire kitchen under citizen's arrest.

We were looking for a nice place in Basalt to grab dinner and some drinks and decided to give the Brick Pony Pub a try. We were not disappointed! The beers were served in giant goblets, staff was friendly and helpful, and the food was excellent. The Mac and Cheese was perfectly made, creamy and au gratin style cheese, or if you're in the mood for something lighter the Chop Chop (asian style) salad was flavorful and hit the spot. Even though we're only staying in Basalt for four days, we might have to come back!

The atmosphere is great. The food was amazing. We had the fried chicken it was to die for and the sweet potato fries were awesome. This is my time here but I have been here under different names. I have to say I will be back.

Love this restaurant. Our kids love the Mac and cheese served in a huge bowl with a side of peas. The sweet potato fries with honey and cinnamon are fantastic. I can't wait to return for an entree soon. Oh and the beers are served in a huge chilled glass the wait staff is great. Skip the buffalo wings for some of their other standouts

We ate lunch here after a morning hike at Maroon Bells. Great sandwiches on brioche buns. The grilled chicken sandwich had this delicious green relish. I was not expecting it to be as good as it was but was pleasantly satisfied. Husband had the mahi mahi sandwich and raved about it. Draft beer selections were good local ones and served in a frosty mug. Good place in Basalt!
