I drank a pot of coffee. Yes a whole pot. My standard: biscuits and gravy breakfast. Something is wrong when the biscuit is so hard it is difficult to cut with a fork. So so wrong. I haven't had much luck with VI. Maybe it's a sign to move on?

My son & I went for a late lunch on 5/21/15. I ordered a French Dip w/ cole slaw. The sandwich was fine, but asking for a side of mayo was apparently a no-no. Asking for a second side of mayo later caused my son to whisper "I wonder if she knows she has to WORK for a tip?" But the mayo finally made its appearance. The au jus was tasty but very salty. The cole slaw was way too creamy, but good. Better if less "cream". My son ordered chicken fried steak scramble with hash browns. He liked his scramble, but thought the hash browns sucked. His words, not mine. They were barely cooked - as usual. Look, I know, well fried hash browns are not good for you, but when you only have them about 4 times a year, a good fry on them is to die for. Let me determine what's good for me, not you. All in all, pretty much what I expected. Barely cooked hash browns, overly salted food, service with an attitude. But acceptable low prices. Ya know...ya get what you pay for!!! This place is really good for a 2am bar closed munchies stop. At that point you don't care about service, food quality, etc. Just get some carbs in your system...excellent for this.
