Village Inn is a tough place for diabetics, and you must be extra cautious while ordering food at the Village Inn, especially if you're a diabetic. The food items low in sodium are high in sugar or cholesterol at Village Inn which makes it difficult for diabetics to choose the right food at the diner.

My husband and I go almost every weekend, and yes, we usually have to wait 20 min or so in the mornings, but that is to be exptected with a breakfast place. The food is always good and the staff is consistant. Last Sunday, our server was Angie, and she was so sweet, even with being so busy, she made sure to make us feel happy and comfortable.

I've been eating at Village Inn's for years. Not necessarilly as a first choice, but as a reliable, quick & customer service friendly alternative. Especially for a quick breakfast or lunch. I've never expected VI to be a 5-star restaurant, but I've always counted on VI's being a good, standard, & inexpensive choice. So when we decided to stop in this location for the first time - - in a new upscale shopping area - - we were expecting the same standard that VI has given us since 1958 - when they opened their first doors. Fifty-nine years ought to be enough to get it right time after time . . . and especially when the corporate office is located here in the Denver area. Don't the corporate folks ever eat in their own restaurants? My bet would be that they haven't been in this one in awhile, if ever. I won't go into details of how really mediocre our meals were, but suffice it to say that we each had meals that came with biscuits . . . . and they were returned with biscuits. They were dry and tasteless. My meal had brown gravy, his had cream gravy . . . neither could hold a candle to canned gravy. Even "The Best Pie in America" wasn't. What happened? I used to look forward to a quick bite at a Village Inn. One star for a friendly server. One star for my past experiences at VI. Zero for my latest experience at this new VI.

We went to this Village Inn one night when we just couldn't figure out where we wanted to go, so it was kind of like a last resort. I wish we had kept debating because it was one of those times where you know you probably should have just gone to the store and bought a frozen pizza. I ordered the shrimp basket and it was decent. My husband ordered something weird that he usually wouldn't have ordered and of course he hated it. He also got a bowl of clam chowder and said it was horrible. My daughter and her friend both got bacon cheeseburgers and liked them, ut of course teenagers will eat anything. They were out of the pie we wanted, so we only got one piece we actually wanted. I will say that the Oreo is dang good and maybe I'd go back even if it was to just buy that pie.

So I am going to admit that my 3 star review is solely based on the breakfasts. I always enjoy taking my family here for breakfasts, as everyone can always find something they love. Can't go wrong with anything on the breakfast menu, and of course the pies are classics.

I saw negative reviews and was concern. I must say that I had a great experiences there. The staff was very attentive and friendly and they serve me the best Denver omelet I've ever had. The ingredients were fresh and it was cooked perfectly. MHS

Awful! Terrible! No good! Very bad! First things first; such a FILTHY restaurant! There was not an area where there wasn't trash on the floor! Ew! Our waitress was awful! She took forever and had an attitude! We waited 45 minutes for our food. When we asked where it was she told us she's get it when she's get it and turned around. She also never refilled our waters which is a big deal for me. Having been a server before, I know how difficult it is to have a large section and being the only one on, but there is no excuse for rude behavior! Go to the one on Hamden and tower! Much better service!

Village Inn is defiantly a good diner type environment with a menu full of different food choices . Breakfast served all day everyday with the VIB menu for customization for meals. They also have tons of other food and free pie on Wednesday. Personally just not my favorite . The food is okay but nothing to write home about . Service is fairly quick and the staff is very nice ! There are NOT many gluten free choices or vegan for that matter. As a late night or early morning diner eat it would work great .

So, my boyfriend and I decided to go to Village Inn last night after the Denver stock show. It was about 10pm....we were seated next to 4 boys that were using very offensive language and the n word wad used multiple times, loudly. The server, Emily brought us our drinks, over filling my boyfriends and spilling it over the table. He actually had to say something to her about the mess. Funny, she didn't seem to notice. She asked if he wanted a new napkin, being his was soaked by cleaning up the mess. She was seen in the area where the cook was working putting something in someones food, so we left, offered to pay our bill, even though we didn't receive our dinner. We will never go to that establishment again. If I were the owners, I'd be very embarrassed by this yelp and think before you hire someone like that. I guess I need to give one star because yelp can't save this information without a star rating...just know we are saying NO STAR rating.

I went to this restaurant with my son and friend. The waitress was really nice but not very attentive. That was just the beginning! The food was terrible. The hash brown tasted freezer burned and the pancakes were salty, tasted like baking soda. We order french toast covered in strawberries and bananas. The fruit tasted like it was going bad and the french toast was soggy! We also ordered the chicken fried steak it was bad as well. I will never return!

Breakfast all day, every day?? I'm in. Great pie?? Yeah, Village Inn has both of these. I've gotten pie for events here before and it is just amazing. I've also tried various breakfasty foods like the eggs, bacons, sausage and biscuits and gravy and it's just amazing. Super busy in the morning and dead at night, so breakfast for dinner is a good choice! I'm sold!

To me Village Inn means one of two things: breakfast and pie. Growing up we would go to VI on Friday nights and have breakfast for dinner. I don't think I have ever eaten anything, but breakfast or pie at any VI! This one is a nice new shiny one in Southlands. I actually hadn't gone in until I really needed a pie for a birthday boy. I reserved online and picked it up after work. Apparently, Friday night is pie night because there were 3 of us in there getting pies! At any rate, it was clean and they were relatively quick. I think its a nice no frills place and I kind of like that, its easy and consistent.

Every time I come here the food is great but the service is just okay. Except for tonight; the service was fantastic. My server was Bryan he was very relatable and got my very complicated order perfect!

This VI is our Saturday morning routine and we go for one main reason: our server Angi. Ask for her section and you won't be disappointed. She always has a smile on her face, makes sure orders are correct before taking to the table and she's just hands down the best server we've ever had anywhere. Great atmosphere with a core group of experienced servers and we have never been disappointed when Angi was there.

We've ordered out from this Village Inn for years, and we eat there from time to time, but we've finally had enough. They've been on our do-not-order list off and on but we always forgave them because the food is pretty good. But they almost always get our order wrong, and this time was the worst because we ended up waiting forever for a to-go order. After waiting in a long line to pick up the food, I had to have them remake an omelette because they neglected to leave off the sauce, and they had to round up a sausage patty instead of sausage links (last time, they gave us a hamburger patty) and add the extra gravy we requested. I ended up waiting another 5 minutes for the omelette to be re-made, which meant my food was ready about 45 minutes after I ordered it and everything else had gotten cold. When I said we would not be coming back, the lady at the cash register said they couldn't take anything off the bill (which was odd because I didn't ask them to). The food was okay, other than being cold, which is why I'm giving two stars, but I have had enough of their not getting the order right and then having to wait around for them to fix the mistake. It defeats the purpose of ordering out, honestly. We ate about an hour after we ordered. With other Village Inns nearby, and an IHOP, if I want this type of food I'll go somewhere else.

Come on! Everyone rags on either VI or IHOP but yet whenever I go here on a Saturday or Sunday I end up having to wait a half an hour to get in. I mean literally it is like at greatest Nightclub ever aimed at the 55 and over crowd. I love their pancakes and have spent many a days trying to imitate only to fail and cry. Open late in into the night and open early. So yeah sometimes we want to rag on the VI and IHOP because they are easy marks because their staff is sometimes not always the most stand up citizens of any universe and their burgers are bland but overall everyone enjoys a VI once in awhile. They have great deals and are very kid friendly. Trust me I know because I ask for crayons and a maze book every time I come in here. So Can I please get another slice of Pie? Wait actually make that an entire one to go please.

The food is always good and they have yet to mess up my order, but each time I go it takes forever to get service, let alone something to eat. I grow tired of bring there for hours on end when the place has tons of staff and few customers. The waiters always seem frazzled and scatterbrained, but why? There is no one else in their section to serve. By the time I get my food I'm beyond hungry which is unacceptable.
