This place is a solid 3, the food is good for being fast food mexican, in fact I bypass Santiagos and a lot of other places for Twisters. The green chile beef and bean Indian taco is where its at ! Its super filling, and a little messy but hits that craving. The only thing is that the green chile doesn't pack the heat. :( Service has been good, haven't had any issue with them missing condiments or messing up an order, and the people are nice. But they aren't super fast so give it about 10min if your ordering at the drive-thru

Hand held breakfast burritos were good, definitely fresh ingredients. Eggs were cooked to perfection and it wasn't overly loaded with potatoes. Do not get them smothered however, their green chili needs a lot of work, pretty lacking in flavor.

The food here is pretty tasty and consistent. It is excellent considering that it is a fast food place. I usually only go for the breakfast burritos and most often get the "supreme." Prices are reasonable and the "supreme" fills me up by itself which is saying something because I do tend to eat like a pig. I can tie on the old feed bag.

I don't like chains, but for some reason I can't get enough of Twisters. Great value as the portions are significant and the food is very good - if you like this sort of fare. In the three or four locations I've visited, the staff has always been nice, and the service reasonably speedy considering the food is cooked to order. Only in the Denver and ABQ areas for now, though for my next gig perhaps I'll open one here in NJ. #pollos

Food is low quality and not fresh. Place is dirty and needs updated. I don't recommend!

I first went to Twisters over a year ago and wasn't very impressed, so I was somewhat disappointed to find out that it was the only restaurant in the shopping center that was open at 10AM on a Monday when The Boy and I were getting an oil change. We grudgingly made the short walk over. I ordered a New Mexico breakfast burrito (egg, potatoes, green chile and cheese) smothered with 1/2 red sauce, 1/2 green chile. Boy ordered a similar burrito, but with breakfast sausage in it. Wow, were we surprised! The green chile and the red sauce had a legit kick to them and the burritos were much bigger than we expected! It was a satisfying and more than filling meal. I'll definitely have to give Twisters another shot.

I don't miss home much, but when I do I come to Twisters! Wish there were more in Denver!

Don't go there expecting a freshly made breakfast burrito, easy to tell its all premade if not leftover stuff, good tasting but not fresh

I used to be fond of this place. But now it's hit and miss. I don't ask for them to do anything special except to give me a side of sour cream (that I have to pay for) that never ends up making it in my drive through bag. I say and order, for one or two burritos, and they ask me at least two times to repeat myself. Just annoying. Good ish food expecially for the price. But dumb a** people.

Really good fast food breakfast at a nice price. I also had a delicious smothered burrito-- the green chili was surprisingly good.

Really good, authentic Mexican food! Good prices, good service. Try the Santa Fe burrito. Yum!

No complaints. Love the food, staff is friendly, and dining room is clean. Go here if you are hungry and almost broke because the portion size for the price is beyond great

The best service the best Mexican fast food with awesome prices! The number #8 and the Nacho supreme with beef is a must.

Been wanting to try this place for a while and finally went yesterday. Took a while to pick what I wanted cuz it all sounded so good with the variety... I ordered and waited, and we finally got our food. I ordered the 3 chicken enchilada meal that says it comes with rice, beans, lettuce, tomatoes, and cheese, my daughter got a bean and cheese burrito, and my husband ordered a chicken wrap. My meal did not come with the lettuce and tomato and the sauces *(both green and red) were watery and bland; my daughters burrito looked like a 5 yr old wrapped it; and my husband's chicken in his wrap were hard and fried too much. all of our food were barely warm. I asked for the lettuce and tomato but never received them, and then when I brought my food after tasting, I told them it had no flavor and I didn't want it. The man at the counter called for his manager and told her I said it had no flavor... they asked if I wanted something else. I really didn't want something else but I got the grilled chicken sandwich in it's place. I went to take a bite and realized that the "grilled chicken" is a processed, spongy, frozen piece of chicken in the sandwich. I could get better food at Wendy's for a better price and flavor! My daughter didn't eat her burrito, and my husband just ate his wrap because he was starving. Who ever thinks this food is "authentic Mexican food" has never tasted AUTHENTIC MEXICAN FOOD. We will never go here again and will not recommend this place either.

I had a craving for chili cheese fries so I decided to give this place a try after a recommendation. I ended up getting the fries and a beef Indian Taco (Indian fry bread covered with beans, ground beef, lettuce, tomato, cheese and green chili). The beef was very greasy, and the cheese was virtually non-existent. I liked the Indian taco better than the chili cheese fries, though. The curly fries were not crispy and even a little underdone. The green chili was a weird consistency and didn't really have much flavor. I do have to echo what others say about the service: they were polite and fast. Still, that's not enough to get me to go back.

Stopped in last night and wanted to comment on the friendly and helpful service provided by the two girls working the register and cleaning the dine-in area. No complaints about service! This was my first time in a Twisters. My husband and his coworkers eat at this location at least twice a week because it's fast and close to their office. They like spicy food but I do not, so this isn't really my type of cuisine. My breakfast burrito was pretty good and the fries were good too, but nothing to write home about. I would not recommend the churros unless you can get one freshly prepared. Just fast food style New Mexican grub with a beautiful view of the mountains in this location...

Green and not with envy. The good was greasy and salty. I ordered a bean burrito and churro from this location and could only take one bit of each. When I got the Taco Bell parking further down the street on Buckley, the leftovers went into the trash.

I love Twisters, they're in my neighborhood so it's a quick trip to get a bite to eat. The breakfast burritos here are awesome. You can get them either handheld or smothered....the difference is if the green chile is on the inside or the outside. They've got a drive through so it's very easy to stop for breakfast on your way to work. And they're very quick. Some breakfast burrito places make you wait for way to long at the window, but not here.

This place used to be great...treated my two daughters to breakfast this morning, got through the drive thru and got home. Opened it up and they screwed up our whole order...glad to donate my money for the extra ingredients that I never got! Never going back, and my company will stop using this business for our meeting lunches.

Stopped here for breakfast a few times. Their burritos are pretty good. The #8 is pretty good, but also messy. Nothing really to say, the service is friendly, pretty fast. 4 stars because when i got a to go box the box was dripping with green chili and not packaged very well at all. Could be a little more neater about it or just don't load so much chili on the burrito where it is dripping out of the container. Also some times they forget little things that you want modified with the order. Not all of the time, but it happens. Other than that it is a very filling breakfast and worth the money.

I've been back here several times for breakfast burritos that are freakin' AWESOME! I came back through today and got a taco plate on the way home from work. We closed early because of the snow storm and I wanted to hit a place that had a drive thru window so I wouldn't have to get out of my car! The chicken taco was pretty tasty! The chicken was moist, the salsa was good and the taco was nice and crispy. The adobo pork or beef or whatever the hell it was... I didn't care for it much. I also liked the rice, it was kind of spicy! But the beans were kind of gross. This is by no means a quality sit down and eat restaurant, but above average drive thru food. I would give it 2 stars on the dish I had today, but my other experiences have me keeping it at 3 stars. Overall, this place is still A-OK. I just won't get anything with beans or that shredded meat of some kind in it next time. Glad to have this unique little drive thru in the neighborhood! If you haven't been yet, at least go for a breakfast burrito. That's the best thing I've had from this place!

Went this morning for breakfast burritos, which are usually very good. Tasted good, but potatoes were undercooked a bit and the tortilla stuck to the wrapper. Still, pretty good.

I like everything I've ordered. Love the breakfast burritos. The employees are always polite and professional.

Twister's is better than "fast food" mexican as it is fresh ingredients. I like some of the flavors, others, not so much. But overall it's decent for a quick drive-thru to take something home and it's reasonably priced. Staff at this location has always been friendly and they even have dog treats at the drive-thru for the pups!

Great breakfest burritos and the chicken and beef are good also. One of the best burgers in town !

To be honest I have never had anything except for breakfast burritos from Twisters. With that said they are the best I have ever had. My only exception to this is to not get the green sauce. Go with the red it is awesome.

This is place is awful! I tried it a while back& didn't care for it, but I thought I'd give it another try! Awful, green chili is watery, bland, hamburger in my burrito was crunchy, cheese on my fries was clumpy. I am just disgusted, can't believe I wasted my money.

I used to live in the New Mexico and there were only two good things about it: The weather and the food. Twisters scratches my itch for New Mexican breakfast burritos and it's one of the only places in Denver that understands that green chile sauce is not a soup--you need to turn it into stew! I love their green chile cheese fries and they make a good burger, too. I love that they have a drive in and they're always fast and pleasant.

Fred Flintstone Sized Burritos! Smothered with Green Chili and Fries! There in nothing stellar or great about the ingridents or flavor. Green Chili is actually quite plain. The only thing that warrants merit is the SIZE of these damn things, MONDO! Seriously unless your in training to be a competitive eater get a 1/4 Burrito! Come here with your expectations in check this is a fast food New Mexican restaurant its not going to be over the top authentic Mexican food, but enough food to get you seriously considering Jenny Craig! Double gold star and smiley face for Diet Dr Pepper on the Fountain!

Might.....but probably won't try this place again. Got a breakfast burrito smothered in what they say is green chili. It was more of a very watered down, vinegary sauce that was not "horrible" but not what I was expecting or would even call green chili. Here's when it went downhill.... there was egg shell in my burrito. Ewwwwwww! Beyond that, the burrito itself was just "meh". Nothing to write home about.

I give it 4 based on the breakfast burrito that I had. It was pretty decent for the Denver Area. I took potatoes out since usually alot of places use it as a filler and I didnt want a potato burrito. It was awesome had the right amount of sauce in there not too mild or too hot and filled me up overall I would go in, I wouldnt go out of my way but if I was in the area why the hell not

HUGE 2. Green Chile (REAL green chile) 3. open early 4. great service 5. drive thru 6. close to me need i say more? the smothered fries w/ cheese and green chile is good too.

I wouldn't go to this location again. I ordered a smothered burrito and a churro with an iced tea. Some genius decided to put the churro underneath the burrito box, which leaked all over the place, ruining the churro and getting all over the seat of my car. The burrito was good, but the green chili didn't taste right. The iced tea was warm and tasted strange so I couldn't even choke it down. Total waste of my money.

For a quick lunch, with a good burger in mind, you should venture here. The air conditioning is wonderful, the music is nice, and the service is always tidy. The meals are simple and good, nothing spectacular, but enough for a quick lunch. BEST EVER- Vanilla filled Churro. And I can depend on them to have the Blue Powerade. Always a treat when you walk away with a complimentary Large plastic 'Twister's' cup!

Whole twister burrito is the best value in fast food. It is at least 5lbs of yummy for 8$

Wasn't that hungry, so asked for something small. The worker told me about the El-Nino burrito. It was small, maybe 4-5 inches long. It has shredded pork, green chili and potatoes. for 20c more, I got cheese. Pretty good for $2.19+tax. Nice to know you can get something if you're not that hungry, especially if you go with someone that is real hungry. Friend got the Indian taco. That thing was huge. It was a large piece of flat bread with a mount of stuff on it. Served like a Tostada. I didn't look that close to see what was on it. So can't really review it except to the fact that it was a lot of food.

I tried giving this breakfast burrito a second chance, but ick! It's not that they taste bad...it's that there is NO taste. I crave flavor and this place can't provide that. Dang it, I wanted to like you, Twisters.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
