It's always nice to find a little place hidden in the treasures of a strip mall neighborhood. I ordered the Mongolian triple delight and was surprised at the juiciness and texture of the shrimp, Chechen and steak. Cooked to perfection not overcooked like most places cook shrimp. The lunch portion was like a large and I didn't have to choose between crab rangoon and an egg roll - I got both. My favorite part of the day with the creamy egg drop soup super yummy in my tummy. When I'm on the side of town I'll definitely come back. The service was great, the employees was really nice in the quiet atmosphere was just what the doctor ordered during the middle of a hard work day. I really enjoyed everything!

Pretty good food and good service. The menu is pretty typical for Chinese food, but they will sub sauce for you or keep an item out. They are also great about adjusting spice. What keeps them from a 5 star rating for me is the following: dumplings skin is way way too thick. It's gross in the wonton soup. The sesame chicken is both white and dark meat, pick one. The mooshu once had a tiny bone chip in it...cracked my tooth. Not their fault per se, but speaks to quality of ground pork.

Overpriced and tastes cheap. Ive eaten ground up dog rectum that had better flavor than this cat carcass they are trying to pass off as Chinese food. I literally had to punch my dinner because it wouldn't stop meowing!

Okies, once again, how come there are "two slotted" spot for this establishment? Hence I'll write my review in this "slot", which was first reviewed in 2009 with the rest of the Yelpers who had reviewed this establishment. Was here with one of my gurl fren, on TUESDAY February 21st 2012. First note to self, make sure if to dine out on a TUESDAY, check all the possibilities of all the restaurants, I am eyeing, to dine out especially at this part of neighborhood to be open. Tsai Shen Garden came to our rescue coz after running errands all the way from the other part of the neighborhood aka WEST AREA and need to be in this area. We called in, and asked TSAI SHEN GARDEN if they are OPEN. Thankfully they are. When we arrived for this LATE LATE LUNCH, time was : 15:15hrs ish. Another good note, we arrived just in time for their LUNCH HOUR cut off, which was 3:30pm. If I am not mistaken, there are like another patron dining in. Since both of us were "starving" and from the brief "glance" of the menu, these was what I ordered : * Szechuan Beef ($6.25) * Bomber Combination (to go for Hubs) (Chef's Specials $6.95) My friend ordered Kung Pao Three Delight ($6.95) My order came in with, Egg Roll, and Crabmeat Cheese Wonton, and I opt for Egg Drop Soup and Fried Rice. The Egg Roll and Crabmeat Cheese Wonton, came out hot, crispy, a good sign, since I dont like stuffs cold or soaggy. Another good note, if I could recall properly, we were given complimentary tea for our lunch. My main entree of Szechuan Beef was A-OK, though I so wish it could be more spicy. All in all, its an OK Lunch though I bet my friend bet to differ from her glowing review. For the LUNCH price you get, its DEFINITELY a STEAL DEAL! As with regards to flavor, its just OK for my taste bud. Dont mind returning, when needed if I am in this part of the neighborhood. The Bomber Combination comes with Shrimp, Beef and Chicken with a Spicy Sauce and Vegetables. Also from the Hubs' feedback, he likes the order of his Bomber Combination, the flavor was just right and has a "unique" taste in which until now I am trying to figure well. Oh well. But when I had the Bomber Combination to go, I think the Kitchen staff forgot or perhaps its "their" practice NOT to include any kind of soup for that pricing. No big deal, but just want to give a heads-up. The service was prompt, inviting and we got our food freshly cooked, hot and fast. While having our late lunch, there are many more patrons came in to dine in. We left Tsai Shen Garden about 16:05hrs ish. @27/2012

An average chop shuy house. It is ok with nothing that really shines. I will come back only if I really had to do so. Friendly and efficient service rendered. The restaurant is tucked away slightly lower than the thoroughfare on the right

Was the third restaurant I tried after moving to Aurora and by far it is the best. Food is good. Prices are reasonable. I have since moved about 15 minutes away but still go there, driving past multiple other restaurants. I am a fan!!

I order food from Tsai Shen Garden on a semi-regular basis. This place is very consistent. Flavors are always good, the food always gets here quicker than the time frame quoted on the phone and the staff is very friendly. Lately, I have been on more of a health food kick and have been eating their steamed veggies and tofu dish. It comes with a ginger sauce that is pretty darn good! The veggies are always fresh and well prepared. The only con is they don't offer brown rice. White rice or fried rice only. For those of you that are in for the night but think you can't get healthy food delivered to you, think again! This is a fantastic option for those of you that don't want to suck down sugar filled sauces and piles of meat. For those of you that aren't watching your waistlines, I recommend their Mongolian Triple Delight. It's a combo of beef, chicken and shrimp in a very savory yet sweet sauce. Their crab cheese wontons are also delicious! Which ever way your diet takes you, Tsai Shen Garden is a great option for everyone in your group to get something to their liking. I'd recommend this place to anyone in their delivery range.

I happened to chance upon this place with a girl friend few days ago cos we have been driving ard for like 2hrs trying to go to a few of our fav restaurants but they are just not open on Tuesdays! So ya, I whipped out the phone and typed "chinese restaurant" in the area. Tsai shen popped up, and we decided to just go for it as we were really too hungry to think or do any more research. I did call just to make sure they're open for biz (of cos!).(There was another chinese restaurant that came up but it said 'american chinese' cuisine, and we wanted authentic chinese food, so we decided to go for this one) We were pleasantly surprised to find the food very good. On top of that, hot chinese tea was served complimentary! Nice. The lunch came with a freshly deep-fried crunchy spring roll and a crab cheese wonton, both of which tasted great. And mind you, I had many spring rolls before, and some I would just not eat after one bite because they just taste icky. Oh yea, came with a soup too, and you even get to choose which soup you want (out of 3 options). And yes, I was even impressed with the soup - had fresh ingredients (springy tofu), something I normally wldn't think twice abt. Count our lucky stars that 2 too-hungry-to-think girls chanced upon a great Chinese restaurant. Free good tea, good soup, good food, nice spring roll and wonton. Loved it, will bring my husband and come back again.

Price is high for dinner. Mongolian beef was salty. Honey walnut shrimp had good fried texture but buried under a mountain of mayo sauce so every bite was like a pre-eminent heart attack. Service was lackluster, every question I asked the waiter would shrug his shoulder and reply "ehhhh I don't know". Conclusion? I've had better elsewhere for cheaper.

Lunch is great. The lunch portions are generous and luncheon specials include soup. The price is right and the food is great. I recommend lunch over dinner. The dinner portions are no larger than the lunch portions but cost more. The food is still great however.

Relocated to Aurora and wanted to find the best Chinese food nearby. Actually found these guys on Google + Local and saw a great review of their Sesame Chicken. I am now hooked. Food is good service is great and the restaurant itself is never crowded. This is a good place to have Chinese takeout or delivery in Aurora

This place is by far one of the best I've had. The beef is good (no gross fatty cuts like I've had elsewhere) and the vegetables are just right. Not undercooked or overcooked. Service is generally prompt as well. The only place we'll order from.

Dont bother! terrible business management. Ordered delivery, in the middle of moving, waited over an hour, finally called them, they never started my order because they didn't know what kind of rice I wanted!........... never even called me. Were very rude and didn't know what to say or offer much for me even though i was starving and upset. manager said they dont even take on line orders............................how they knew what I orders is interesting........confusing. Dont bother. they dont care!

We absolutely love Tsai Shen! We have dined in and ordered for delivery and both are fine options. Delivery on both occasions was pretty quick considering the day and hour and everything was delicious and hot with nothing forgotten. Dining in is my preferred method however...we get the "family" dinner with the platter and I always order the Mongolian Triple.. My husband likes the Shrimp & Scallops with Garlic Sauce and I think it is very good as well. We will be very sad if we ever move from Aurora, because this one is a gem!

Like half of Aurora, we decided to have Chinese food delivered on a Friday night. We pulled up our six items on their online menu and called in our order. Plus: The food was GREAT. The Singapore noodles had generous portions of shrimp and chicken, and overstuffed the box. The scallion pancake was crispy but not greasy. The crispy chicken was... crispy, but not greasy, with large pieces of white meat. The garlic shrimp was okay, with that weird assortment of criss-cross vegetables that accompany some Chinese dishes. The prices were reasonable -- even the seafood dish came in at less than $10 -- and we got our money's worth (none of that "food in half the container and shredded lettuce in the other" nonsense). Minus: Not surprisingly, delivery time on the busiest night of the week, at the busiest time, ran to almost two hours versus the promised 60-80 minutes. Minus-That-Turned-Into-a-Plus: Before I'd even had a chance to say anything, the delivery driver already had a cash discount in hand to apologize for the delay. When we called the restaurant to let them know how good the food was (and how the wait was worth it), they were gracious and apologetic and invited us to the restaurant where they'd shower us with freebies. All in all, we're happy we've found a great Chinese restaurant in Aurora, and we'll be coming back soon.

I love the food here! It seems less greasy than some of the other chinese in the area. I had the basil chicken which was full of flavor and had an awesome kick from the jalepenos! The serving size was huge, especially the rice, I pobably threw away over 3 cups of rice. The only con is that they don't deliver to my area.

Food was on par with the prices; nothing extraordinary. We ordered the Chicken Fried Rice and a large Egg Drop soup. Beware, they will nickel and dime you ( was charged extra for hot oil).

This Chinese restaurant is really good. I love that their lo mein is mostly noodles and only a small amount of veggies. My favorite dish so far is the general tso's chicken. My boyfriend likes the sesame chicken too. Although I have not eaten at the restaurant, the ambiance seems nice. A warning to late eaters: this restaurant WILL CLOSE EARLY IF THEY HAVE NO BUSINESS. If you're looking for a late night meal I suggest you call first. You might be able to order take out if they are closing. Every time we have ordered food it was been late and they have been getting ready to close. We have only gotten take out. They are very quick at filling our order. We haven't had to wait more than 10-15 min for our food.

Overall, a great deal for solo ventures. I was looking to try something new for lunch and so I did a quick Google search and found this place. The food is good - not excellent, but good. However, the pricing is what really blows the deal away. The lunch special includes a huge tray of food, large slot filled with meat, two smaller slots filled with your choice of side. Along with that, you get crab cheese Rangoon and veggie egg roll, all for an awesome $6.50 (before tax). When was the last time you had a meal so large, you couldn't finish it for $6.50? I also got a "small" order of soup for $1.50, but don't let that word fool you: it was probably about 16 fluid ounces of soup. For some, that could have been the meal. I ordered the sesame chicken, as it is a favorite of mine and a common order at Chinese restaurants. Cooked to perfection, crispy, not overcooked. Sauce was a tad bit sweet, but it wasn't a deal breaker. Overall, an excellent deal. I am very happy and would highly recommend eating here for a cheap, tasty meal. I would not, however, recommend this as a formal dinner. As I said, the food is good, but not excellent, and the inside of the restaurant looks a little dark and damp. Best to order to-go from this place.

Very authentic. You have to leave a few coins on the little Buddha statue. Wonderful food great people. We very much enjoyed our experience there.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
