Can't understand why this place is always slow because the food is good and affordable. I drive past everyday and there is very few cars in the parking lot, as a business owner this saddens me when I see a good business struggling. Service is good and fast as well. Will be eating there more.

I ate here one and it's ok...I had an authentic Mexican dish and it tasted mediocre. It's not horrible by any means and the staff is great....just not in the top of my places to go

Horrible food!! Advertised authentic Mexican food? More like generic Mexican food. Over cooked, cheap generic green chili. Maybe the booze is cheap but it's so you can choke down the over priced bill after such an unsatisfying meal. Will not be coming back. Too bad I was hoping for the best.

Good breakfast burrito with excellent green chili . Portion size large - could have served 2 people for only $3.45. A bit heavy on the potatoes however. Excellent service. I will be back.

Had a pick 3 combo. Beef enchilada had a great sauce and was really good. Beef taco was pretty good the ground beef was a bit greasy. Beef tamale was awesome and was smothered in a decent green chile sauce. At my surprise the combo came with rice and beans!! Rice was average and the beans were very tasty. Service was great also. I'll be returning for sure!

I have driven by this restaurant many times and never really noticed it. Today, while craving Mexican, my hubby suggested we go here. Very clean interior and super friendly staff. The chips and salsa were addicting. The margaritas were decent but the horcharta was delicious. Now to the food...the most authentic and delicious Mexican we've had in Denver. Will definitely return.

I've gotta say I'm pretty impressed; this place was hidden under my nose for a while but I'm happy I've stumbled upon it. The place seems pretty clean and the decor is good, the prices are competitive and they have a semi stocked bar- We came to try the Mochajente here and I've got to say it was impressed wth it. Nice cuts of flank steak and chicken with chorizo and peppers I highly recommend it as a dish to have with your meal when your with a few people- mix it up the cheese is good too- The camarrones envueletos left is wanting something more but hey shrimp wrapped in bacon how do you go wrong? Now the best thing tonight with our mochajente was the three chilli rellenos special - like the previous review - crispy and delicious! Thanks for the experience! I will for sure come thru again! Highly recommend -

Not as good as the first time. The owner wasn't friendly or participatory. He didn't seem to care. The food and service was off a little too. The portions are large even though a little pricey.

Delicious food! I had the enchilada combo. Excellent red sauce. I can only say that Los Arcos in Westminster and this place are the only two Mexican places that I have tried here that succeed at an amazing red sauce. I'm a little picky and prefer a sweeter tomato taste than the heavier more bitter taste that other restaurants have. Also their refried beans were delicious. This place definitely reminded me of the cantina style Mexican food that I miss from my days in Cali. I will be back next month for sure. Also the owner expressed that they have karaoke nights there so I will probably be back for that too!

Walked in a month ago and ordered my food To go. The lady who helped me was pleasant. She gave me their business card and told me to call ahead next time so I won't have to sit and wait for my food. Since then I have called on three different occasions. Every time a person who speaks very little English answers the phone. I keep trying as the restaurant is close to my house and I love Mexican food. I come from Southern California where you can find good Mexican food on just about every block. Well tonight was the last time I will try. I ordered something off their menu, pazzole, and was hung up on as the woman could not speak enough English to communicate and understand me. I even spoke broken Spanish to her, I know pretty decent spanish, as I have worked with Spanish speakers for over 5 yrs! and still I got nothing in return. She sat on the phone In silence for two minutes before hanging up. Clearly they don't need the business. I won't try again. Good luck!!! Unless your dinning in.

Were in the area and wanted to try a new place. We thought this was pretty good Mexican food. Great shredded chicken in quesadilla, and husband enjoyed his combo plate. Lindsey was our waitress as well and service was great.

Received this message from the waitress: "For your review of: Hacienda Camino Real I would like to take a minute to defend myself... The second you walked in I was friendly.. You didn't see what was going on obviously didn't care that I was the only person running the front.. As in waitress hostess bartender bidder and cashier I had to go orders to bag up and send out not just tables not to mention I was answering the phone but that's not all the cook was not the regular cook and was running behind therefore it was hard to please everyone but thank you for this wonderful review :) have a blessed day" No, we saw you were the only person doing anything - mostly waiting on the table with two gentlemen behind us. The manager - or whatever position she held - was doing the same thing as well. I am sorry if your feelings were hurt by my being frank, but I felt others should know about our experience. I appreciate a heads up by others when my money and time will be ill spent. Perhaps what you should have done during our visit, was explain, apologize, something.... anything..... would have been better than what you did and did not do. Indeed, have a blessed day!

To start I came in a Wednesday night. The waiter was AMAZING. (I'm terrible with names so I cannot share his name) he was very outgoing and charismatic. Who doesn't love a good waiter. Well lets get to what really matters. . . . Food. Chips and Salsa to start (as expected) this salsa was the most authentic salsa I've had since my abuelita (grandma) Luisa from Mexico that never once set a foot in the U.S. I proceeded to order the 3 combo of chile relleno crispy and it was exactly what I had in mind.

I am a huge fan of any restaurant that has bacon wrapped shrimp on the menu. Their seafood dishes are fairly priced and delicious. The chips and salsa they serve is spicy and amazing. The restaurant itself is clean and welcoming. The service is quick and friendly. I wish I had a picture to share, but as soon as the food arrived we couldn't stop eating. We had a lovely dinner and will definitely be returning again!

I'll start by saying the margaritas were poured from a bucket mix you can buy at Costco or Sam's. They were horrible, nothing but syrup and zero tequila. The food is horrible. I can't even describe how bad the food is. Everything is from a can, processed, unseasoned, zero flavor. Even the rice and beans were bad, how does a Mexican restaurant mess up rice and beans? The service was also lacking. Spent $50 for two adults and a child at happy hour and walked out not eating our food.

This place is awesome. Really friendly the moment I walked in. Ordered 4 of the best street tacos I've ever had: carnitas and carne asada. And their happy hour is awesome. Definitely check this place out if you're in the area. They apparently even have karaoke on Fridays. But it seems chill, not like a crazy loud bar or anything. It's really nice. Update: I went in for breakfast this morning, I had their Chilaquiles breakfast dish - fantastic. Oh and they make their own horchata! How could I resist.

We just discovered this little place, it's excellent! Our waiter, who I assume was the manager was great. He was super friendly and very attentive. We went for happy hour and had a few beers while waiting for an order to go. They served us chips and salsa while we waited. I will say they have the BEST salsa I've had at any restaurant in Denver. Everyone was super friendly and they even gave us more chips and salsa with our to go order and a free dessert! We ate the food once we got home and it was delicious. We will definitely be going back and will plan to bring friends next time!

I apologize this post was going to Hacienda Colorado on Mexico and Colorado. Not sure how to remove it from this restaurant. So I live nearby and we walked to get a bite to eat here at Hacienda on Colorado/Mexico and not to my surprise it had a wait time of 45mins....My party of 3 wanted to eat at the bar but it too was standing room only! we noticed that one side of the patio had a party of about 10 eating and the rest of the tables empty....so I enquired why and was told they didn't have enough staff to service anyone else..needless to say I asked for the manger( Angel Casillas) who listen to my suggestion of me going to eat on the patio and getting my food from the bar myself because they were short staffed. He in turn said that even though they are short staffed he wouldn't have a problem with sending a server to get our order and drinks. He sent one of his best servers Chris who was a delight and very quick we getting our order placed even though there was a wait outside we walked in as if we were VIP and got seated order the drinks and our appetizers and on top of it being so busy Angel stop by to see if everything was okay and it was perfect. His customer service skills was top-notch I even mentioned it to the president of Hacienda Darrell how impressed I was with the service today! On top of that the president of the company gave us a one pound chocolate delight dessert it was amazing and delicious. This is my favorite Hacienda and I will always dine here. Thank you so much for making myself my nephew and my friend feel like we was your VIP for dinner. I always felt that if you give great service you will be rewarded for it(so please never forget to reward the people that keep your company growing) and I have always been in this type of industry and I'm so glad that this type of service has not been lost!

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
