Dragon Boat Sushi and Asian Kitchen Menu

Sorry, We are updating this restaurant menu details.

Consistently some of the very favorite Asian cuisine in town that the wife and I enjoy and have for years!!

I'm always excited to try a new sushi bar. So when a friend suggested an all you can eat for $15.95, I said sure. It was ok, but not great. Lots of rice on the rolls, tasted kind of bland. Service was spotty at best. Took awhile to get our requests picked up, then all the food came at once which was a bit overwhelming. Also had to wave them down a few times to pick up the payment. So after I ate, I had to go to the bathroom. It was dirty. Freaked me out a bit. I think if I had checked that out first, I might not have stayed.

I used to love coming here for their all you can eat sushi, they have changed so much over the years. This last visit was awful. After waiting to be seated, the waitress was completely rude and rushed us on our order. We asked for additional wasabi and she was again rude, rolled her eyes and walked off to get it. On top of all that, the fish did not taste as fresh as it used to be. Now that there are more all you can eat places closer, I will not be coming back.

The sushi is good, and much better than the rest of the menu, but there are better places to eat sushi at. I have eaten at Dragon Boat many times when I was living near there, and it is overall an okay-to-good restaurant. I never had a bad experience, but also never had a great experience either. The all-you-can eat sushi is good, and stands up on it's own as being quality. My personal favorite, and I would recommend any sushi fan try, is the zombie brain dish, a mixture of avocado and tuna. I have nothing but good things to say about the sushi, especially the price that makes it very inexpensive for sushi. I have tried the orange chicken, and didn't not care much for it, it was very citrus heavy, without a lot of sweetness. The only issue I had with the staff was that frequently when eating there, the staff would have conversations just a few tables away, loudly talking and laughing with each other, to the point that it overwhelmed my own conversations. That being overlooked, the sushi is good and at a fair price, but the rest of the menu and atmosphere can leave something wanting.

When did they start putting cockroaches in cashew chicken! I ate half of it and found a roach at the bottom. I will never eat at this place ever again!!! Disgusted Eater 1/21/2015 p.s. wanted to give no stars but wouldn't let me...

This place isn't worth time or money. There are better sushi places out here. Literally couldn't finish the sushi due to the fishy taste which means not fresh. Way to much rice and not even sticky. I paid to not eat the rest of my sushi.

Once again I have to change my review.. I keep coming back to this place because their hot food is actually good and a very decent price considering that their entrees come with soup, egg roll, and a cheese wonton. BUT I was in yesterday 5/20/2015 with my husband and my sister in law.. service again was terrible I asked the server for hot oil sauce and she made it seem like I was asking her for an arm and a leg.. the food was ok I have never fully liked their sushi I think the rice isn't fresh which is what makes the sushi taste not so fresh but what put the cherry on top for me NEVER WANTING TO COME BACK was when we go our bill. They are now INCLUDING TIP and I don't think this is right. I am a server myself so I know how hard the restaurant industry is but normally a tip is included if it is a party of 6 or more but when its just 3 people having dinner and getting shitty service its not ok to add tip. Just because they were probably receiving no tips due to their horrible service doesn't mean that they can now include the tip.

The general tsos is okay, but delivery takes more than 2 hours when you live a block away from them. I ordered food for delivery at 6:27pm on a Monday night and I didn't get my food until 8:25. I was told my wait would be 45 mins. The time I was told seemed long at the time because this place is less than 2 blocks from my house (I would've ordered pickup and walked, but it's really cold outside) little did I know it was going to be TWO HOURS. It was a clear night and they were less than 2 blocks away from me... The general tsos chicken was not spicy AT ALL and it was soggy (even though I ordered it EXTRA spicy and crispy) but, it did still have somewhat good flavor. The delivery driver was rude and demanded a bigger tip. I am a delivery driver, his behavior was unacceptable.

Terrible, horrible, disgusting. Bugs literally crawling everywhere when I went to the bathroom. Told the staff and they argued with me to the point that our entire table got up and left. I LOVE sushi but refused to eat it once I saw the amounts of bugs. Did I mention they did NOTHING about it either? No discount, no meals removed, not even an apology. NEVER AGAIN WILL I STEP FOOT IN THIS PLACE

Food was delicious. Ordered from grub hub and it was delivered very quickly. Portions were large so plenty available for left overs. Would order again from them.

Tbh on i eat at Dragon Boat for all you can eat, but there was on my day off i went to sushi katsu few times with couple of my friends and we agreed that sushi they make here at Dragon Boat is way better than anywhere for all you can eat deal. Fresh fish and rice ! We got good fresh food with good deal ! :) My husband loves their Zombie Brain, Volcano and Spider Roll !!

I just don't know why they charge 15% more on the bill for their tips since they don't really have good service..

I have never eaten inside but we used to order from here once or twice a week. Their delivery is extremely fast and their deliverers are very friendly. We used to get the Philadelphia an volcano roles. Both are very good. I have also tried the orange chicken and pad Thai as well as the wontons. All very very good. If you love close I definitely suggest giving them a try. Very comparable to Sushi Katsu.

  • Rhonda B.

Great price for the all you can eat lunch, $12.95. Although the volcano roll says it is spicy, I found I had to add a bit of the Wasabi to it for more of a "kick." The tempura is nice and light and really made the calamari enjoyable. The vegetable tempura had a nice variety of veggies, the most I've seen from places like this (broccoli, yams, zuccini, mushroom, green pepper and green bean). If I'm ever in the area, I'll be sure to stop here again!

2 words: DON'T GO. My son has a bad cold and I wanted to take him somewhere to get soup. We spotted this place on our drive and decided to give it a shot. We ordered combination Lo Mein, chicken noodle soup and a California roll with baked salmon and dynamite sauce. It's a common roll. The server kept asking me, almost cartoonishly, if I wanted Lo Mein. Our less than average dishes came after a lengthy wait. (And it should be noted that their version of chicken noodle soup is a very long way off from what the average person would call chicken noodle soup.) They were tossed on our table by another server, who promptly walked away. We had no plates or silverware. After several minutes of trying, we finally flagged down someone who brought plates. We began eating but I kept wondering when the roll would make it's appearance. Finally, another server brought our roll- the wrong one. After several minutes of trying to flag someone down, I gave up and moved it to the side of the table- where another server picked it up and apologized for leaving it at the wrong table. Amazingly, our original server walked by and I asked if our roll was coming and she turned and yelled across the restaurant in her native tongue to inquire. The roll came about 10 minutes later, when we were completely finished eating. It was served not as a roll, but as a block- absolutely drowning in dynamite sauce. I ate one piece and just couldn't do it. Very low quality, not even made with sushi rice! I sent it back. Yuck. We had to wait another 10 minutes to speak to our server AGAIN to request our check. The best part of our meal was getting the heck out of there!!!!!!!

I've read many reviews of this place and decided to try it out. I went during lunch and was surprised there wasn't a crowd. Our waitress seemed a bit grumpy. We ordered 4 sushi rolls, 3 appetizers, a water and lemonade. It came out very quickly and we were very surprised by the size of our sushi rolls. They were very generous. I posted a few pictures. We noticed on the top of the menu you have to pay for whatever isn't eaten. So we were careful not to over order. But we weren't ready to leave yet and were wanting just half an order instead of a full order. So we asked our waitress if we could order that and with attitude said yes and when I asked if by chance we couldn't finish it could we take it home and she said "NO it says you pay on the menu." I said "I was just asking but I understand, thank you." So we ordered 2 more appetizers. Which this time took forever to come out. She did come over after a while and pour more water in my cup which went all over the table. She didn't say anything nor did she clean it and walked off. We just looked at eachother. We finally got our food and it was delicious. Total cost was $29. Will we go again? Yes, I'm going to give this place another chance. I loved their food and they do have 2 other waitresses. ;)

By far the worst service I have ever received at a restaurant. The servers were incredibly rude and slow even though we were the only two people in the restaurant. We came for all you can eat sushi and they refused to bring all of it out even after we asked for them to do so. When the small portion of what we did order came out, it was sub par food to say the least. They also added a "surprise" 15% gratuity due to ordering sushi to our bill. Which is lucky for them, as they would have received no tip had I gotten the opportunity to leave my own. You could not pay me to eat here again.

Think sushi Katsu with slightly more disgruntled employees. I can't tell the difference between this sushi and katsu's, both about the same price, katsu may be slightly better... Like the way top ramen is slightly better than a hot pocket.

Best sushi! My husband and I always come here, never have been disappointed. We always get the all you can eat menu because we get more then just sushi for an awesome deal. :D

Dragon Boats's sushi standards have really hit an all time low. I ordered some sushi for pickup yesterday night for four people with the hopes of tasting the same delicious sushi I used to constantly have when I lived close to their location. I was immediately disappointed by the soggy presentation of my sushi. I ordered some "Crispy" California rolls for my parents who aren't big fans of sushi and to my demise received regular badly rolled pieces of sushi with dry rice that were falling apart the second I put my fingers on one. The seaweed was so dry when I took a bite a could feel and hear the crunch as I chewed. As for the Sakura rolls, the avocado was somehow sloppily smeared on it sprinkled with a baby handful of masago on top. The spider roll unfortunately had to be thrown out because of the slimy and sour avocado that was rolled into it. Least to say we were pretty grossed out by our dinner. Definitely last time I stop by or order from Dragon Boat. Cheers!

I wish I could give this place three and a half stars. I like it a lot but for me the wasabi wasn't hot enough otherwise it would be a solid 4 stars. Good sushi and my boyfriend got mushy chicken which I didn't try but it looked delicious.

Pretty Average on their sushi, but their General Tsao Chicken & Orange chicken are fantastic!

Remember you are getting what you paid for. Came here for the lunch buffet. $12.95. They have a decently varied menu, and I think better options than other all-you-can eat sushi places. The food comes out extremely fast and fresh with good portions sizes.

I ordered delivery last night at 645. She said it would take 45 minutes. I called after an hour. She told me they will be there any minute. They finally arrived at 8:30. We ordered fantail shrimp and it was cold. The miso soup was luke warm but truly the worst miso I've ever had. Then we ordered 3 sushi rolls. They included 2 soy sauce packets... On top of that. They hardly stayed together and was not fresh. Very disappointing. Do not order their delivery. LISTEN TO THE REVIEW IT IS NOT WORTH IT. I rarely spend money dining out, it is so frustrating when the food and service is terrible. Waste of $35.

When you look at this place from the outside, you wouldn't think that it is a good as it is. The Dragon Boat is my uncle's favorite restaurant and has begged me to go there with him for years! I would pass by it almost everyday and say "I'll go there one day." That day finally happened and I must say I was extremely impressed. Now I see why my uncle eats there 2-3 time a week. We ordered a full spread, lo mien, sushi, soup, etc. and it was all excellent. The staff was fun, I am sure part of that is because how often my uncle comes in and how much money he spends there as a regular. I can't say that I would be a regular here because it is pretty far from where I live, however; I can definitely say, when I am craving Chinese cuisine, I will definitely have the Dragon Boat at the top of my list!

Decided to try the all-you-can-eat sushi dinner for $15.95 per person. My husband and I generally get 5-6 rolls when we do AYCE sushi, plus appetizers. At Dragon Boat we ordered a few appetizers (crab cheese wontons, potstickers, and a dish called zombie brain) and those were between average and above. Then we started with 3 rolls. Worst sushi I have ever had! It was tough for my husband and I to get through the rolls. One of them had so much mayo-type sauce that I gagged when putting it in my mouth, another had tempura shrimp with the grossest thick batter on it, and the last one was very mushy but dry at the same time. Needless to say we are not going back there for sushi. We would rather pay the $23+ per person AYCE sushi at other places we've gone to in the past (Wasabi, Sushi Katsu, Samurai to name a few).

Don't ever go here!!! I ordered food here for the first time tonight and it took two hours! Except I actually never got my food! I used grub hub to order there and they claimed they never received an order when I called to ask them about the status of my order. I'm guessing it's because I decided to pay with cash and they had no way to track that I ordered food. The lady I spoke to didn't even care. She was just was like oh no big deal guess you'll have to talk to grub hub about that. Based on all the other reviews I would never order here ever ever ever again and and I would recommend that nobody else orders there!

I'm surprised there are so many bad reviews on here for the service. I went for the all-you-can-eat lunch and I was actually pretty impressed. I usually go to Sushi Katsu but Dragon Boat is closer to my new home here in Aurora so I gave it a try. There is plenty of parking. I was pleasantly suprise that unlike Katsu, this place was not packed, in fact, it was pretty quiet. The menu also compared favorably; there is a much larger selection of appetizers and special rolls to choose from for the lunch special! I ordered tempura avocado, steamed dumplings, volcano roll, and a mix of sushi: hamachi, smoked salmon, and eel. Service was a little slow to start but once it started coming out, it was very consistant. My server was great about refilling my drink, too. Turns out I over-ordered by A LOT. The sushi was 2 pieces per order, not 1, so I accidentally double ordered. And Dragon Boat serves full size sushi, not the smaller portions I became accustomed to with Katsu. So I ended up with lots of leftovers. Also, through no fault of theirs, I turned out not liking the avocado appetizer, so that went unfinished as well. I was expecting and massive bill, but the server only charged me a few dollars more and was very understanding about the whole snafu. The sushi was delicious, especially the volcano roll, and the dumplings were actually better than most. We are ordering Chinese delivery tonight, so hopefully we'll have a similarly positive experience to report on soon. I will DEFINITELY be back again for lunch in the near future!

EH.......this use to be a great place. The waitstaff seems really upset of grumpy. The food was ok at best, I may have caught them on a bad day, we all have them I will try again another time.

Before I came to this place all I knew about sushi was Tokio Joes.. But now after giving at a try its my favorite place ever (I even celebrated my b day there) very fresh everything! The best sushi roll is the "spider roll" amazing

  • Debby S.

Not good sushi, very unfriendly staff, place was freezing cold and not very clean. Rice was over cooked on rolls, seaweed wraps were too chewy and overall just disappointing. Would be better going to Katzu every time for the same price and way better everything

  • Orlando R.

So, I've heard a lot of good things about this place... Reasonably priced, good service, etc. I finally got a chance to try this place out. $15 all you eat sushi. I started with the crab cucumber salad, which was very tasty. Then moved on to the sashimi... The octopus, crab, and tuna was great. They were very generous with the portions, unlike other spots, that I feel try to cut back due to the whole "all you can eat" factor. The waitress was also very pleasant and suggested I try one of their specialty rolls once she found out that I was a fan of spicy tuna. I will definitely be back.

I had been eating their delivery often because their sushi is really delicious. Went in for the first time and ordered hot tea. When I poured my tea into my cup, there was a cockroach floating in it. No thank you.

For some reason, Colorado has a lot of over-priced Chinese food. Dragon Boat is not one of them. The lunch special is incredibly cheap and will keep you full way past dinner time. The egg drop soup is wonderful, and the sesame chicken is great as well. Sometimes my rice is a tad cold bit I know how to use a microwave so it's not a big deal. Overall, I love Dragon Boat.

Happy Birthday Cierra !.....This place, if nothing else, was an interesting story. We were seated by a man who I thought was our server. He wasn't. He brought us our drinks and I ordered green tea. I got a MUG of tea, in a semi-clean mug. We waited a good 15-20 minutes for someone to take our order. In the midst of our wait, a man burst into the dining room from outside, hollering "CALL 911....CALL 911...someone is beating up my father !" Apparently, there was a fender-bender out on Iliff that turned violent. Then our food arrived. I ordered the crab and avocado salad that was supposed to be on a bed of greens, and I ordered peanut dressing on the side. What I GOT, was shredded...maybe crab...with a good looking avocado, on a bed of iceberg lettuce hearts (you know, the bitter insides of the already flavorless iceberg head.)The dressing for my salad tasted like peanut butter. Not peanut sauce. Disgusting. I could only eat a bit of it. Ugh. My son ordered sesame chicken. It was awful. The batter surrounding the chicken was mushy and porous, the sauce was way overly sweet, and the batter soaking up the mess made the dish pretty un-edible. The birthday girl ordered the all you can eat sushi for 13.95. She had one plate of the stuff. She said it was "okay". My sons water glass was empty, and he saw the water pitcher on an empty table near us, so he helped himself. The server dashed over and fairly knocked him aside to fill his water glass for him. She wasn't smiling. No, I will never return here.

My boyfriend and I do sushi regularly and we love trying new sushi restaurants around town... This one we will not be returning to. Very slow service, crappy sushi and bad decor. The sushi looked and tasted like it was thrown together in about 3 seconds and slapped on a plate. Good price for all you can eat, if you want low quality sushi and bad service.

    (2)
  • Jake P.

Bad food and worse service. We went here a few times unbeknownst of the much better sushi choices close by. The tuna tastes like it's been sitting out on the counter all day.

  • Sarah E.

Hot sour soup was gross but everything else was fantastic. The jalapeño garlic wings were delicious!

    (4)
  • J C.

Not that great. The three star rating for this place is accurate. Nice staff, but the food is really mediocre. Cashew chicken was incredibly bland, the sesame chicken was nothing to write home about. I can't say I wouldn't eat here again, but I wouldn't drive very far to do it.

    (2)
  • Michelle A.

My son and I had all you can eat Sushi. Not bad. Wish we had more room in our stomachs to eat more than we did. The Chinese food looked good. I might go back if I am in the neighborhood.

I'd sort of forgotten about this place in my enthusiasm of trying so many other Denver area restaurants. I was hoping delivery would be as good as dine-in and take out, and I'm very pleased. We ordered lunch delivery today and received 3 entrees (sesame chicken, pad thai with chicken, and cashew shrimp) along with 3 spring rolls, 3 containers of soup, and 3 crab wontons - all for UNDER $23 BUCKS!! We have tons of leftovers, and received our order only minutes after hanging up the phone to place our order. I noticed that they did not even charge the standard $1 delivery fee. Everything was hot, fresh, and delicious. The spring rolls were exceptionally good. I discovered that the pad thai is not my style though. I prefer the sweeter "red" sauced pad thai dishes. This brown variety is probably considered more authentic, so if you prefer your pad thai less sweet be sure to give this a try. No biggie...I'll order from here anytime I want Chinese or sushi and will save the Thai entrees for Thai restaurants. If you live within 3 miles of this restaurant, I'd recommend trying the delivery option.

This place was conveniently located across the street from the DoubleTree Hotel where I was staying. I had already hit up the gyro spot (which was great, by the way) so I decided to break my rule of not eating any seafood in a landlocked city and got some sushi. I've read some of the reviews about this place and I have a hard time understanding some of them. Some said the service was slow. Slow? My sushi and beers (BOGO free) can in a blink of an eye and I never had any problem with the service. I thought the quality of the sushi was fine. Not the best, definitely not the worst, but fine. Then again, I'm not a sushi connoisseur, so I can only recognize the really bad. I came back with friends later that night. This is where I had the biggest problem. It was late and the restaurant closes at 10. We were seated and served, but felt like we were being rushed out when the food was served. If they wanted us to leave at a certain time, they should have told us that we either can't be seated or "sorry for the inconvenience, but we start closing up at 945. Not a big deal, but it would have been nice to know ahead of time that I could only get 2 beer as opposed to my initial plan to get totally blasted.

Heard good things about them so figured we'd give them a try on their lunch sushi buffet. Can't say we'll be back and here's why: 1. Miso soup is nasty. Probably worst miso soup I've ever had. Too salty, and they used dried seaweed. It's fine to use dried seaweed, but not like that, not a big square and letting it soak for hours. And I know miso is supposed to be salty, but I'm not supposed to pass out from my sodium consumption from one bowl of soup. 2. Sushi was not good. Too much rice, and not good rice. It's way too dense and mushy. The kind of rice where you can't make out one grain from another, so it just looks like the fish was rowed in mashed rice ball. 3. I don't think the fish is too fresh. Not asking for flown overnight fish, but just somewhat better. 4. Things that were cooked and came out hot is a little better, but not enough for me to come back for their sushi buffet again. For same/similar price, do yourself a favor and just go to Sushi Katsu instead.

So, I ordered delivery from these guys this evening. I ordered: unagi roll, avocado roll (for my 3-year-old who loves sushi), sake kawa (salmon skin) roll, a tempura shrimp roll (with spicy mayo), a salad with ginger dressing, and vegetable tempura (again, for my daughter). The unagi was undersauced and didn't really taste like much, same with the sake kawa (though I enjoyed the danmuji/pickled radish in it- reminded me of gimbap) and the skin could have stood to be a little bit crispier. I could barely tell the two apart flavor-wise apart from the radish. Those were mostly meh, and I don't think I'd order them again. No complaints with the avocado roll- I mean, it's an avocado roll. The tempura shrimp roll was pretty outstanding. Massive shrimp, and I asked for them to put spicy mayonnaise on it- which they did. It was delicious. You get eight pieces per roll, and the pieces are large- I was definitely impressed with the portion sizes for the money. The vegetable tempura was a massive bargain for just over five dollars- there was an absolute ton of various veggies and sauce- enough for more than two people as an appetizer. Broccoli, Japanese eggplant, bell pepper, onion, carrot, and even snow peas were fried up and still very crisp upon arrival. The salad was also a massive portion, with an adequate amount of dressing. The ginger dressing was really outstanding- maybe a little on the sweeter side than I'm used to, but it was delicious. I found myself eating the salad and tempura and then barely touching the sushi (it's in the fridge for tomorrow's lunch). I spent just over $30 and got enough food to probably feed three people- too bad it's just me and my little daughter! I don't mind leftovers, but I think I will order less the next time. Their delivery fee is a mere $1 in their delivery zone (which includes my flat in the Broadstone Vesta complex), it arrived within thirty minutes, and the delivery guy was really nice. I'd definitely order again, but maybe stick to the more flavorful items on the sushi menu.

We've been going there for years. Loved the all you can eat sushi! Until the cockroach fell from the light fixture and we were asked to help kill it. Sorry we had to experience that, but now you don't have to. Had nightmares about it.

The staff is kind and the fact that they deliver sushi is wonderful. Sushi is not too pricey, but is also not the best sushi in the world. It's not a place I would go to first, but if there are no other sushi options then this place is a decent alternative.

Tuesday June 02nd 2009 A group of my friends who loves eating sushi went to Dragon Boat Sushi and Asian Kitchen for our monthly sushi fix. This was my second visit to this restaurant. My first visit was way back sometime in September 2007. The decor is the same. The staffs are also the same. The place is clean as what I could recall. The only different was the seating arrangement that were allocated for us. The sushi is basic. Nothing spectacular or fancy. All my friends like it. They rate it between 3 to 3.5 stars. They allow reservations and allow separate checks. The slight downside, only 1 person prepared our Sushi for our group so that took awhile for the whole group to have their Sushi dinner. Price was reasonable. All in all an OK experience. Rate it between 2.5 to 3 stars for my personal experience. Though I cant deny, my first visit to this restaurant, I experience better sushi. Oh well.

I've given Dragon Boat 2 stars for a few reasons. They delivered my food within 30 minutes as they estimated. I live right across the street from this restaurant, but had never ordered before. I ordered based on yelp reviews without a menu. When I looked over the receipt they charged me $1 for delivery. If I would have known this I wouldn't have left as much for a tip. I'm walking distance from them. It does however say they charge $1 for delivery on the menu. The Crabmeat Cheese Wontons were pretty good. Not horrible or spectacular, but decent. The Wonton Soup was about the same. I ordered Sesame Chicken, one of my all time favorites. It tasted like it was slightly burnt and the flavor did not resemble Sesame Chicken in the slightest. I can't say I will be ordering from here again. I ended up with rice, soup and wontons for dinner,

I am reviewing on take out, and on pretty much rice alone, but hey, Dragon Boat is worthy! My co-workers were craving fried rice, so we all ordered the same thing, shrimp fried rice. Lame, I know, but that's what we wanted. And Dragon Boat gave us just what we were looking for. The rice was yummy! I ordered mine spicy hot and they did not disappoint. The portion size was perfect for lunch and the price was affordable. Unfortunately, I also ordered miso soup that I pretty much tossed in the trash. There was so much seaweed it was gross. I sipped the broth and got rid of the rest, it tasted like I took a gulp of ocean water! I know I won't be ordering that again. But I do look forward to trying more off the menu. I know that Dragon Boat claimed 3 new customers that day!

Oh my, what to do, what to do. Good food, good service - thought I had finally found a decent Chinese place - that is until I went back to the restroom after finishing my meal. Lo and behold, on a chair RIGHT BESIDE the restroom door sat two large mesh bags of fresh cabbages. I guess they had been brought in a side door and left by a delivery service. I can tell you it was a real turnoff seeing them sitting so close to the restroom sort of mingled in with the restroom smells - dampness, and all that goes with it. Not good. I doubt if I'll convince myself to go back. I really hope someone from the place contacts me to explain this. I want a good Chinese place, but until I understand this situation it won't be this one.

What I like about this place: **Very affordable--from Sushi to actual entrees, everything is very affordable and has good portions. **Octopus salad--I've never tried this elsewhere, but I really like it here. The portion comes in a pre-dinner salad size, where its just enough to eat as an appetizer before your actual meal. You can request it mild or spicy and the ingredients are usually fresh. **Fast and friendly service **Buy one get one free beers What I don't like about this place: The sushi is just okay--nothing special about them and the rolls are pretty small. This goes for entrees too. So I guess the best way to describe this place is that you pay for what you get. You may not be paying a lot, but you're not really getting a lot either. If you need an inexpensive meal that won't totally suck, here's your restaurant. If you're looking for an actual sushi fix, I'd go elsewhere to be sure to not disappoint.

Do NOT order sushi at this non-Japanese restaurant. I ordered a sushi dinner & got 6 pieces & a California roll. Only the salmon was decent... Just OK. The rice on the roll was dry & so was the sushi. These people should not be trying to sell sushi. This kind of poor attention to detail will give sushi a bad name - not mention bad taste. Cooked stuff is much easier to pass off as good food.

This is a tough review. I don't eat Sushi. I don't really like Sushi, but we were at a friend's birthday party and there was Sushi. I was coached quite well as to what I should try and what I should avoid. A couple of the items (cooked) actually tasted very good, but Wow! I ate a couple of fishy items. My friends at the table just love this place and it's selections. The service was great. I'll be back, but next time I have the Chicken.

Ordered food at 7:45. Got a call at 9:15 that said they can't deliver my food until 9:45 and they said I should pick it up and were only willing to give me "free wontons". Really?! I already waited over an hour and was STARVING and I didn't want to wait another 30 minutes for hour old food. Wish I knew what their food tasted like so I could review it. Not sure if I'll try again. Now I get to eat a PBJ. Sad face!!

A lot of rices and barely any fish. It is not legit sushi. The fish is not fresh, taste like going bad. Better off going to sushi Katsu than here.

Me and my family have been coming here for years. The meals are really good, I always get sesame chicken, perfectly crispy. Wontons, soup, and appetizers are good as well. The reasons I knock off one star is because the inside is REALLY outdated, and the sushi is kind of a miss here.

Ummmm ewwwww! Sitting here eating right now... Wishing I was at Sushi Katsu. Waaaaayyy too much rice, sushi not fresh! Stupid me trying something different. Stick with what you know! I wish I could give it zero stars! Very disappointing. Also #waitstaffsucks

BUYER BEWARE! I recently had lunch there and left a 15% tip. Normally I leave 20% but the service was horrible. I sat with an empty water glass the entire time, there were fleas (YES, FLEAS!) on the table, and they forgot half my sushi order. When I asked about it the sushi chef literally yelled at me across the restaurant. Anyhow, I left a 15% tip. So today I look at my credit card statement and lo and behold, I see they ran my credit card for $3.00 more than I authorized!!! I took my receipt and statement in and told them that this is FRAUD and against the law and to give me back my money before I call the cops. They were incredibly rude but relented. I will never do business there again and am warning others to do the same. I have contacted my bank and the Aurora police about this. I implore you to eat elsewhere and if you must have Dragon Boat, pay cash. I doubt this is the first time they have done this; I'm just lucky enough to have noticed. It's not much money, but the principle -- this is a fraudulent business. I hope this place closes down before someone gets sick or ripped off.

No. Just no. There are so many better options for sushi than this place I don't know why they're still in business. I'd avoided going here because I have a favorite sushi place that I go to weekly but my dad was in town and insisted because this little hole was right near his hotel. So I humored him. And was sick for the rest of the day and barely touched what I did have. The sushi was horribly put together and tasted disgusting. It fell apart and looked hideous on the plate. Sushi is an art and making it taste amazing is something these people are not good at. I will take King Soopers sushi over this place any day. Save your stomachs and your wallets and do not come here.

Decent Chinese food, okay sushi (not great,) but a ton of food for the price. All you can eat sushi at lunch for less than $15 and dinner for less than $20. The service was top notch and even with a fussy toddler they were very accommodating. This place is great for decent cheap food. My toddler and I will be back.

In a few short words: terrible, rude service. The waitress the MOST unpleasant server I have ever experienced. Good mango roll. The eel and spicy roll tasted "fishy." The sushi chef seemed very nice, unlike our waitress, but she was clearly WAY overworked. Long form: I had brought a coworker here because she had ever only had sushi once before. I wanted her to be able to try several different things, so I ordered 4 rolls and 6 pieces of nigiri, figuring that my friend could try and eat the things that she liked, and I would eat the rest. I can easily eat 2-4 rolls (depending on size) at other sushi restaurants, so I thought this was a reasonable plan. When our waitress came over, she looked at the order and said, "OK, how about I bring you two rolls to start because the rolls are very big." I said, "Well, if you do that, then you're not charging me for all you can eat sushi." Two rolls at $9.95 apiece equals $20. Two people eating all you can eat sushi costs $40. She started to argue with me, saying that she would have to charge us for whatever we didn't eat if we got all of this sushi. I'm thinking, "Charge us what, the price of the actual 4 rolls, which would be $40?" Finally, she walks away and says OK, OK, like I'm the biggest jerk who has ever walked into the restaurant. At that point, I was ready to leave, except that we had gotten our drinks, and I, honestly, was too cheap to only drink half of my Sapporo, so we stayed but continued to debate leaving. Finally, 6 pieces of nigiri come out: 4 eel, 2 tamago. The eel was fishy, but my friend seemed to enjoy it, so I didn't really complain. Then we waited. It was clear the sushi chef was working non-stop, as rolls kept coming out to other tables. I wasn't mad about that, as all of the other tables had been there before us, but I was still so steamed at the treatment by the waitress, we decided to leave. Finally able to grab her attention, I ask her if the chef has started on our sushi because if not, we're planning on leaving. (Yes, I still felt guilty walking out! Why am I so Catholic!) She rushes over to the chef and then comes back to us saying, "One minute." After about 10 minutes, one roll comes out. To be fair, it was "mango roll," and it was pretty good. It's hard to go wrong with tempura shrimp and mango. And to the waitresses credit, it was very large, but it was almost "too large" in that it was not tightly put together and had way too much rice. To make a long story short (or perhaps just less long), we did sit out a total of 3 rolls over the course of about 45 minutes. The spicy roll tasted too "fishy" even for me, and we called it quits. We probably would have left earlier, but our waitress avoided both our table and eye contact... the sushi chef had to bring out the 3rd roll. In any case, it was ridiculous that they all came out separately. The whole point of this experience was so that my friend could try different sushi, and having one roll show up at a time was hardly the "taste test" experience I was looking for. Even at non-all you can eat sushi places, the food generally shows up all together (this is not Jiro, hand-rolling each piece for you). All in all, we paid the $40 all you can eat price for 3 rolls and 6 pieces of nigiri, which was more expensive than if we had bought it all separately. I appreciate the waitress's senitment about not wasting food, but if she had integrity, she would have said that we should order a la carte, rather than suggesting she charge us double what the rolls would cost a la carte (for all you can eat). But mostly, her attitude was the worst part. Fortunately, I don't live in Colorado, so I have an AMAZING all you can eat sushi place not too far from my home (see my Mt Fuji, Woodbury, NJ review), but for all of you in Aurora, I hope there is a better place than Dragon Boat. Stay away.

Living in the heart of Plenty, of Asian food that is, I haven't tried Dragon Boat for roughly 8 years... but since its the closest to me I figured we'll give it another go. We pulled up the menu online (love that!) called in our order and shortly thereafter took off to pick it up. The place was nicely decorated, there was a family eating in and most people were at the "sushi bar". Mostly it appeared to be waiting for their to go orders. I ordered the Orange Chicken/friend rice/ hot and sour soup. My beau order General Tso's chicken and the same sides. Also an order of pepper calamari. My Orange chicken was really delicious! I guess I wasn't expecting it to be breaded and fried like sweet and sour chicken..but it was good none the less. Including the veggies. The HoT and Sour soup was really good. That stuff was super HOT from the stove for quite a good while too! The pepper calamari on the other hand completely lacked any crunch to it. They were however BIG pieces..but we'll skip that next time around. All in all a good experience and we could make it our usual go to for Chinese take out.

I decided to try this place because I wanted somewhere that would *deliver* sushi to me. Overall it was pretty good. We ordered a Baked California roll, a Spider Roll, and some Taco nigiri. I won't say that it was the best sushi I've ever had, it could definitely have been fresher. However it wasn't bad either.....just average. We also ordered some basic meals. I got the Pad Thai and my husband got the Sesame Chicken. Both of those were excellent. I would definitely order from them again.

Not sure why there are two of these under the same address, but whatever. But wow am I impressed. I honestly haven't enjoyed a meal so much since I left Ohio, where my beloved Jasmine is, so I am glad I checked this out. Cheap prices, very fresh, great portions, nice staff. When I say they take their time on the sushi it is not a complaint - sushi is not something that is supposed to be immediate. The girl who made mine painstakingly made it look perfect, in fact I was slightly sad to eat it, it looked pretty adorable. Also, not sure if I happened to pop during a happy hour or something (right before 5) but amazing prices. I got 3 (THREE) pieces of sashimi for $2/3. I loved how they asked about 3 times if I was sure I wanted sashimi and not sushi (it has no rice!) but I don't need rice. If the fish is fresh, gimme it, leave the rice. And like I said, very fresh. SO my vote is if you are in the area or want to make a small fieldtrip for fresh cheap sushi-def a stop. As far as their entrees or Chinese menu goes - I have no idea. Sorry!

Today my husband and I went to Dragon Boat for the first time based on some recommendations from friends. The restaurant is very nice inside and is definitely clean. When we sat down, the waitress took our drink order and later brought us some crispy noodles and sweet and sour sauce. We decided to try both the sushi and lunch specials. We both got egg drop soup which was only ok. It was clear that the broth was from a packet. My husband got the sesame chicken. It was ok. To me, it seemed like they took the sweet and sour chicken and covered it in sesame chicken sauce. A lot of places do that, but still, it was only ok. I had the basil chicken which was pretty tasty. Each of our dishes came with a spring roll, crab cheese wonton, and rice (fried or white). The food came out very quickly and was very fresh. Overall, pretty good. Sadly, the sushi was not so good. It took forever. By the time our first roll came to the table, we were already half way through our meal. We were hoping to get sushi first, or at least at the same time as the rest of our food. The rest of our sushi came quite some time later, when we were almost ready for our bill. I suspect that we got our sushi late because we ordered other entrees. The other tables in the restaurant that arrived after us got their sushi first, but it was all they ordered. They must have thought they could buy some time with us, since we had other things to eat. The sushi itself was not good. The fish was fresh, but obviously of low quality and I've never had chewy salmon! Don't think we'll order any sushi again. Overall, I think we'll be back for the lunch combos, but we'll definitely pass on the sushi.

I debated between two and three stars because though the food here is pretty good, the service was pretty terrible. The waitress wasn't very pleasant, and she either forgot about us or just decided we weren't worth her time. After bringing our food, she basically just stopped coming to our table. To be fair, I think she was the only server . . but there were only about four other tables and to just stopping going to one of your tables altogether is a bit, uh, ridiculous. But after waiting a while (and I'm a pretty patient person), we had to flag her down to get a check. And I definitely gave up on trying to get her attention to get a to-go box. I finally just got up and got one myself. Maybe Dragon Boat needs more servers . . . or maybe just more pleasant ones.

This is my "go to" place for Chinese food. I typically get delivery and the food arrives reasonably fast and hot. I like the combo plates as well as the Pad Thai. They offer a nice combination of different Asian cuisine.

This restaurant is definitely a "don't judge a book by it's cover" establishment. I'm not one for sushi so I stick to the more familiar Chinese fair. I've been here four times since moving to Denver and it's my favorite Asian restaurant. The pepper wings, an appetizer, is screaming. I get it with a side of white rice and it's a meal in itself. The pork chow mein is a meal for two, with the price of a meal for one. My sister swears by the Mongolian Tofu and my brother in-law gets the amazingly large order of spider rolls. We're always waddling out of there without hurting our pocket books. Did I meantion it's always happy hour? Sake, cocktails, wine, buy one get one free. If that doesn't "float your boat" then you aren't human. The waitresses are sweet as can be, a little shy, but so sweet you leave saying "aww, they're so sweeeeeet". :) To sum it up, if you're looking for delicious Asian food with surprisingly large portions and affordable prices and you like the idea of two drinks for the price of one in a very casual environment, set sail to Dragon Boat in Aurora.

They get 5 stars for the "zombie brains" appetizer. Zombie brains is an avocado cut in half mixed with tuna, yum! I had driven by this place, but it was recommended from a friend and it was great. It's located in a strip mall just off Iliff & 225. They offer a mix of popular Asian dishes, the service is good and the place is clean.

Used to be my favorite place for Chinese food delivery, but lately they keep getting my order wrong. Food is tasty, and the delivery is fast, just not as big of a fan as I used to be.

Really good food and sushi. They started the all you can eat sushi but be aware that if you don't finish your roll, they will charge you full price (even if you have 2 pieces left)... wasn't a huge fan on that. The all you can eat did include soup and appetizers on a certain menu so that was kudos. Just order one roll at a time. UPDATE: I feel like they add a bunch of rice to fill you up on the sushi rolls because I found myself peeling off rice to get to the roll itself. Now they can stop wasting food and trying make a profit from that, it would be good.

we went here for lunch and the sushi was nasty. taste like old sushi left out for a long time and the rice was hard and dry. I would not recommend sushi here. cook food is ok. service is slow but the waitress was very friendly.

My husband and I try to eat here at least once a week... We love the servers and the fantastic food. We like it all, Chinese, Thai curries or their YUMMY sushi; all of their food is fantastic! The fish for the sushi is usually really fresh and to crave for. We truly have yet to try something we didn't like. They remember our names and are good about making suggestions on new things to try. We love this place!!!!

Discovered this via a Yelp review. How does a Chinese restaurant have a Sushi bar, anyway? Doesn't matter. It's all good. Great food at a great price. The Sushi is very good. The Chinese food is great too and the price is very affordable. I have two adopted daughters from China. THIS is their FAVORITE Chinese restaurant. I'd have to say I agree. We love the Orange Chicken, California Rolls and the Shezuhan Beef. Just typing this makes me hunger for some food from Dragon Boat.

I have had their delivery and dinned in. This is a great sushi place. I have never received bad service here. Everyone is always smiling and polite. Their food is delish and the sushi is superb. I would recommend Dragon Boat to anyone. Also, if you want a dish made special or would like something that is not on the menu, they are more than happy to make it and their prices are very reasonable.

This is my favorite Chinese restaurant in Aurora. I have ordered many items from their menu both for delivery and eat in. Their Chinese food is plentiful and always hot when delivered. When eating in, the service as always been friendly and not overbearing. I have even called for a take out order - usually Combo Fried Rice with no peas - it's always perfect! My friends enjoy this restaurant as well.

This is by far, my favorite restaurant here in CO! The Sushi is amazing. So fresh, the portions are huge, and its surprisingly not a lot of money! The Combo Special plates are my fav when I want hot food. The soup is delish! And you get a immense amount of food for a good price. Good drink specials. Wait staff is so friendly. But my FAVORITE thing about this place, Cream cheese wontons. TO DIE FOR! I highly recommend giving this place a try. You won't be disappointed.

Can't beat them for taste, value and speed of delivery. Never gotten anything I didn't like and coming from NY, where I ate out about 6 times a week, I trust my instincts.

This place sucks... I thought I was gonna be in for some good chinese food, but no. The sushi is cheap, and doesn't taste bad at all, but the chinese food there was disappointing. I found this place thru yelp and it had high ratings, but wth, when I got there and had the food... it was terrible. They gave my boyfriend an overdue bottle of cold starbucks coffee, then gave him this nasty tasting thai tea that tasted like liquid rubber, we should have got the drinks for free because they just pretty much forced him to have the thai tea. After eating there we felt sick and left- Never coming to this place again-

If your looking for authentic Chinese food in Aurora, your ass should be in China and not Colorado. The food at this establishment is however really good for the price tag. Lunch time specials will run you around $7 while dinner time specials are around $9. Great prices for solid food, and really healthy portions.

The sushi is cheap and doesn't taste too bad, but the rice seemed a little oversaturated and like it had been sitting around for awhile. They also seem to have a penchant for putting jalepenos on everything. If you want spice, use wasabi, please. This isn't a mexican restaurant!

A few friends and I stopped in here one afternoon for lunch and I was overall pleased. The dining room is HUGE so I'll never be worried about not getting a table. I enjoyed the decor (while nothing extravagant I've noticed a lot of chinese places dont put a lot of effort into the atmosphere) and noticed that they have a sushi bar with 5 or 6 seats. You will certainly not walk away from this place hungry and was impressed with the food. They brought us a basket of crispy, fried noodles and a side of sweet and sour sauce right away when we sat down- a free appetizer is always a nice perk :) I purchased an order of veggie tempura and was delighted at how much I got for the price. The hot and sour soup was the best Ive ever had with plenty of bamboo shoots, a perfect zest, and a nice, thick consistency to the broth. The plates were good sized for lunch portions and I loved my cashew chicken! I only wish they wouldve put more cashews in it- I only got a measly 5 sprinkled on top. The only bummer I experienced at Dragon Boat was the argument that the waitress pursued when our gluten-intolerant friend found out the chicken in a particular dish was made with soy sauce (which usually contains wheat). She ordered a veggie bowl and asked for a side of white sauce instead of the brown sauce that usually comes with it. When the food arrived, we noticed the chicken was browned and asked the waitress if the chicken had been cooked in soy sauce, to which she said "Yes". When Robyn explained (nicely, i swear! no attitude) that she cant eat soy and needed the chicken to be recooked, the server immediately started off with an argument, saying in a sort of bitchy way "well how am I supposed to know that? You need to tell us next time and this whole mess can be avoided." WHOA. We were being perfectly nice, and usually people say that and it's not true. But seriously, I work in the service industry and I am very patient and friendly when I need something fixed. I explained to her that we didnt think it would come prepared that way, which is why we didnt specify. Idk, aside from that argument (I believe you should never argue with a customer as it only pisses them off) the price was good, the food was great, the service was good enough. I cant wait to go back when Im in Aurora next

This is my favorite sushi spot. You walk in and you can be a little nervous about the atmosphere, but sit at the sushi bar and that all disappears. The fish is fresh, the chef is so friendly, and they don't forgot your face even if it has been months! I highly suggest the Dancing Roll-- it's my absolute FAVORITE! It's not on the regular menu, only the specials menu. Give it a whirl!

Why 5 stars? They deliver! Fast! They know me by name! I don't even have to give my phone number or address. Big portions, and good quality. The sushi and rolls are as good as Sushi Den's and Hapa's. The Pad Thai is really good and I always get it with extra lime. The Sesame Beef is the best in town. The steamed pork dumplings are heavenly. In fact; I was get two orders! The restaurant is tucked away near 225 and is actually pretty big. The booths skirt the parameter and its nice and feels really 80's. It's clean, it's quiet and you feel welcomed. If you live in Aurora...you need to eat here. If you have chinese food syndrome, aka..Sandra Bullock from 'Two Weeks Notice' disease, where you order half the menu...this is the place. I've easily ordered from this place over 50 times. Program them into your contacts list!

2nd time and I am a fan. We only had sushi, so I can't comment on the other menu items. I thought the service was good and the portions were plenty. If you like spicy, try the Grand Canyon Roll!

I love this place and go there a lot. I think it has the best sushi/price ratio in the Denver area. The sushi is as good as Sushi Den and costs about half. The Chinese and Thai food they serve is excellent. I've never had a bad meal here and the wait staff is very efficient and friendly. Great place and I recommend it to everyone.

Sushi has always been good. The lunch special rocks socks, 3 rolls a soup for $12.95. Haven't really ordered much off the menu other than the raw fishies, but what I have I've liked.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
