Nothing to write home about here. They get the job done and get the job done well. Wouldn't expect anything less from a chipotle anywhere. I love the app to order because anytime you can make "fast food" faster, but keep the quality, why not?

I always forget this Chipotle is here in Southlands. It is in the shops across from the Sam's/Walmart intersection. Nice seating area. Light and bright. They keep all their food fresh and the staff is friendly. A good location!

Welcomed when I come inside, check! Quick service, check! Correct order, check! That is what I expect when I come to a Chipotle and that is what I got! I wouldn't expect anything less. Good job! Oh yeah... YUM!

This is a great location. The people that work there are always friendly, and I've never had to wait very long, in and out very quickly for to-go orders. They're great about having my online orders ready when I come in too. And of course, great good! :)

I ordered a burrito online to pick up and was quite disappointed. 5 pieces of chicken total (in the WHOLE burrito) and very little of anything else but rice - lots and lots of rice. I've always gone in and ordered but thought I'd try ordering online instead and apparently if you're not there to watch them put the food in the burrito, they'll make it however they want.

Hands down worst Chipotle experience to date. Maybe that's why this simple burrito order to go really stands out as the worst experience since I've always received outstanding, friendly customer service at almost any Chipotle franchise. I mention that Chipotle is indeed a franchise because today it was clear that not all locations treat their customers the same. I ordered the chicken burrito to go. The employee at the front asked me once what I'd like to order. I say "chicken burrito to go please." Next question we all know they ask, "what kind of rice? beans?" My response, "white rice, black beans please." She steams presses the tortilla, then asks, "what kind of rice?" I reply white rice a second time. She asks,"what kind of beans?" I say again,"black beans." Chipotle is usually a pretty loud place where you may have to speak over the din of the restaurant, but it was fairly empty, maybe only half full and my wife were the only ones in line. So either she can't understand plain English she should be proficient at knowing the answers to her questions, has a short term memory loss problem, or was just lonely and didn't know how else to strike up a conversation with a customer other than having them repeat themselves. Tortilla with rice and beans now moves onto the next award winning burrito maker. She adds in a subjectively and very arguable marginally satisfactory measure of chicken onto the tortilla. At this point, I am unwilling to make note of this because it's so subjective how much meat they give you I didn't think it worth it to argue.

Usually a big fan of Chipotle but not a fan of this location and won't be returning This was my first experience at the Southlands location. We went for a fund raiser my daughters school was having. Half of the money spent went to the school. Problem number 1-have never had an issue with a Chipotle employee screwing up an order. Should be impossible in the way the restaurant is set up, right? Worng! Ordered a kids cheese quesidilla and 2 burritos. They ended up giving my kids meal to someone else and only started 1 burritto. Really messed up the line as the people behind me were getting their orders complete before mine was even started. They finally figured it out and we paid. Sat down and they left the guac out of my chips and guac order. OK ....mistakes happen. Not a huge deal but here is the reason for 1 star. Because of all the confusion with the order I forgot to tell them we were there for the fund raiser and half of the $26 we spent for burritos should go to the school. I went back up 5 minutes later, receipt in hand, and explained I forgot to tell them with were with the school fund raiser. Can the school get credit for what we spent? The cashier said "No, it was too late". I didnt make a big deal out of it but you hav to be kidding me. There was now way this restaurant could make the school right? We made the same error at a Chick Fila fund raiser last year. Took the receipt to the cashier. She said no problem and took down the info. Chipotle might want to take lessons from Chick Fila on customer service. No big deal. I will drive the extra 5 mintues and visit the Chipotle on Smokey Hill and Himilaya. BTW-I once had to wait 2 minutes for Smokey Hill and Himilaya to opent he doors for lunch and the mgr gave me my lunch for free. Hey SOUTHLANDS-figure it out. Cusotmer service gets you customers for life!

I no longer patronize Chipotle...I rarely understand the crew. Mainly Hispanic (No, I am not a racist), but I cannot figure out what they are saying 90% the time. Broken English and too thick of an accent. Beyond that, the burritos are mainly beans and little meat. I would rather they charge more to get meat and less beans, rice. Food has become average....better values elsewhere. Sorry Chipotle...I am done.

Who doesn't like Chipotle...I mean com'on! I really like this location. Everyone working always seems like they're in a good mood.... and my burrito is always extra tasty. Seems like they keep it pretty clean too.

I BIT INTO A SCREW IN MY BURRITO at Chipotle Mexican Grill at Southlands Mall last night (July 19, 2015)! I'm not impressed with how they handled the situation. They acted like this is something that happens from time-to-time...the screws come loose on the handles of the bowls the rice gets stirred in. I had to insist that they throw out the batch of rice immediately that they were about to serve to three customers in line! They made me fill out an incident report, but then refused to give me a copy of it stating that was corporate policy. What I wanted was for them to say they would stop using those bowls...instead they gave us two free burrito coupons. I'm highly disappointed! I reported this to Tri-County Health Department!

This location has particularly slow albeit super friendly service, which accounts for an ever-crowded bustling line of folks, especially during peak meal times. Slowness aside, I can appreciate the wrapper's congenial personalities and the addition of sofritos (tofu) here. Not that I would ever order that, but it's cool to see that vegetarians have more options now. For such a busy location, you'd think that there would be an expanded seating area, but there isn't. Ho hum. Oh, well. Try to come with other people and have them scout out seats while you take their order(s) in line.

Average chipotle, we went during a dinner rush. The food was normal but it seemed the guys working were a bit slow on changing the trash out or something. No real complaints and the people were just trying to burn through the dinner rush as fast as possible so they were very efficient.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
