Wonderful food! Wonderful service! Their vinaigrette is to die for. My mother got prime rib and it was amazing, I had just a small sirloin and it was fantastic! Amazing cheesecake. A little pricey, but wonderful food!!!

Atwood Steak House is awesome! Sure it's an old gas station converted into a restaurant and it's literally in the middle of nowhere. Granted the decor is right out of your wealthy Grandma's house who hasn't redecorated since the 1970's. The deal with this place is it's all about the food and excellent service. The salad is always fresh and the baked potato soup is so good we buy to-go cups of it to take home. I've tried almost every cut of steak they offer and every time it's cooked perfect and full of flavor. (I'm drooling on my keyboard just typing about it!) My favorite is the Prime Rib, which comes with a baked potato and warm bread that the family fights over until they bring another loaf. They really have outstanding food and service every time we're there. So if you can get over the dated ambiance, then make the trip and enjoy. All the locals know when you're on I-76 between Denver and Nebraska, this is the place for a great steak.

I eat here often with my family when I come home to Sterling. The food is always great and the staff is WONDERFUL. Stop by sometime if you are ever driving through, it's right off of I-76, exit 115, I believe. They'll take great care of you and put some warm, good food in your belly.

Tried to go there but the whole thing was closed down for vacation. If you're planning on stopping by make sure it's after July 6th when they open up again.

My favorite Resteraunt in the county!!! The best prime rib and steaks, amazing home made breads, great wait staff and make sure to have the bread pudding!!!

We were passing by on the interstate and found this place on Yelp! Amazing!!!! We are from the Midwest originally and hard to find good beef and atmosphere. The waitstaff really seemed to care about you. A little pricey for the "middle of know where" but worth every penny for the taste. Prime rib rocked, homemade blue cheese dressing was better than my mom 's. Will definitely be back when we are in the area again! Highly suggest you try it out :-)

Incredibly great food. My wife and I and another couple were passing through Colorado on a long cross country trip. We were in the middle of nowhere and were very hungry. I found this restaurant with all the great reviews on yelp and since it was on our way we decided to give it a try. And we were all so glad we did. When we pulled into the lot you can see it was an old gas station originally. The exterior did look old and run down to the point that our wives almost did not want to go in. But I convinced them that the reviews were great and we should try it and if we did not like it then we could go elsewhere. I got the prime rib based on the waitresses recommendation and it was incredible. It cut like butter and was so well aged and prepared. The creamy horseradish sauce was excellent as were the real mashed potatoes. My wife had the filet mignon which was equally outstanding. Her sweet potato was one of the best we ever had and the special butter they give you on the side had some flavoring to it that was delicious. So don't let the exterior fool you. Their food is world class

I stumbled upon this little gem on my way to Iowa with the bf for Christmas. Unless you are an Atwood, CO local or stopping for gas as was my case, you would never know that it existed. The restaurant is an old gas station that they spruced up. The decor, while stuck in the 80s, is very small town, homey and the servers were very welcoming. On the night that we were passing through, one of the waitresses was beside herself because they were having a large (maybe 15 people) reservation and was telling every patron in the place. Definitely made me smile. The food is probably 3 stars at best, but the staff made it so that I just can't go lower than 4. I got the prime rib and, although very tender, tasted as if it had been reheated. The bf got the stuffed shrimp which was ok. Nothing too special. Although I wouldn't write home about the food, I wish that I could take the service with me to some other restaurants. Great service always helps any situation in my book, and I am looking forward to stopping by here again sometime.

Do you find yourself in the middle of nowhere on I-76 and starving? I highly recommend this hidden gem! Do not be turned off by the exterior, this is a converted old gas station. Once you walk inside you are greeted by the friendliest locals. Sure the interior is dated and worn (it's not like you are in the big city-heck we had a cow walking beside our car!) BUT the food is Excellent home style! We were a party of 5 and ordered everything from steak to chicken tenders and grilled ham & cheese. All was delicious! We were even treated to a conversation with the cook who came out to greet us once we were seated. Our waiter kept our drinks full and was genuinely engaged with us. This is deemed a "hidden gem only the locals know about" but if they keep up this greatness they will not be hidden for long!

Come here for great service and excellent steak. The filet medium rare was tops!! Very reasonably priced. Super convenient for I-76 travelers - 30 seconds of the highway. Total win.

Good food. Stopped in on our way back home to Denver. Yelp reviews were spot on, good food and great service. Home style food and it was quick so we could get our final two hours on the road and back home.

Went to sterling and there was nothing there so we backtracked. So glad we did. Great prime rib. Friendly service and it looks like this is where all the locals go. If you are hungry a must stop

While the decor may be stuck somewhere in the 1970's, their waitstaff is very friendly and their food is quite good. Good value for the cost. I'd eat here again.

THIS PLACE IS AWESOME!!! I was told about this by a friend that was a former traveling salesman. The Steakhouse itself is right off the Atwood exit. It is an old recondition Gas station. The Steak was great and the prices were reasonable. Good service. This is a gem in the middle of nowhere that only the locals know about. Do not miss this place if you are in the area.
