An easy 4 stars for this local Italian bakery! This is a place that not even Yelp could help me find. A friend who lives in the area told me about it when I mentioned I like meatball sandwiches. Gargaro's has a very solid entry in the competition for best meatball sandwich. Homemade meatballs on homemade bread smothered with what I like to believe is homemade marinara and provolone. Soo good. Yeah, we came for the meatball sandwich, stayed to chat with a daughter of the family that owns/runs the bakery, and left with way more than we intended to. Like extra bread, some cookies, and other baked goods. Did we get some homemade sausage too? I think we did! They even have fresh pasta, although I can't vouch for it as I haven't tried it. Admittedly, Gargaro's is pretty hard to find. It's tucked in on Marshall where it goes under I-70. But I kinda like it that way. It's a hidden gem, one whose beauty you can't fully realize until you find it for yourself.

The wife and I were going to be having pasta for dinner on a Friday night and we needed some bread. We live in the area, like just up the block, from Gagraro's and have been wanting to stop for years. I am so glad we finally did it!!! This place is great and I'm pretty sure that this is going to be my go to bakery from now on. Like I said we stopped for bread and got it,but left with all kinds of goodies and all for under $10. Their cookies are big and tasty and only a $1 crazy good! They have home made sausage and pasta that we didn't try,along with all kinds of sandwich's if they are half as good as the cookies and bread we bought I'm sure it will be a treat. The young lady behind the counter who I believe is the owner was the sweetest thing and even threw in an extra treat for us. This is truly a local gem I erge everyone to make it a stop on the list of place's to try. The only negative and its not really a negative,its just something you need to know. They do not take debit cards, cash and checks only. So keep that in mind when you visit. But with their prices a $20 should cover just about everything you want....

We had gone there for years until we had moved out of state, now that we are back we went and visited it again and it was stellar, as it always was before. Not only do you get the freshest homemade food there but they are always super nice. I never had a complaint and still do not. Praise is all I can give them. If you like sausage calzones, baked bread, and pizzelles, youll love theirs... FRESH, FRESH, FRESH!!! They make their own sausage too which you can buy and take home to cook and put into your own recipes! Fabulous place to stop and get some tasty goodies and take them home to the family. Or just a quick stop for lunch for a calzone or 2, or in my case 3. I always end up buying more for later!

Purchased: 1. Sausage. Great flavor and very little fat. A different taste from my usual Belfiore sausage. A good change. 2. Pasta. A thick spaghetti. Very rough and so excellent at grabbing sauce. A wonderful texture. Mouth feel is great. Both were good choices and I will return. Friendly staff at the counter.

A friend referred me to this tiny bakery and what a fun find! If you don't know it's there you could easily miss it. Gargaros is located in an old house. All take-out, all fresh!! Bread is wonderful and is the reason I went there. Ended up with a meatball sandwich with cheese and tons of peppers, AND cookies. The meatball sandwich was huge - definitely a two mealer for me. The cookies - especially the pumpkin chocolate chip were great. Brought fresh pasta home for the family and it was gobbled up quickly. Seek this small, but tasty place out...well worth it!
