I came here for lunch yesterday and was very disappointed. I walked in and went straight to the menu to see what was available. I stood there (after making my choice) while the lady in the back just made dough, even though she clearly saw I was there. When I finally got the chance to order, I had to change my choice three times because they didn't have my choices available or "it took too long". Um, who says that? I finally got what i specifically asked for; a meatless cabbage roll with a side of sauce (which was an extra dollar). I heard the lady put my food in the microwave, so I was excited to have a warm lunch! Not the case; first when I bit into my food it was cold and mainly dough. Second, it was not meatless. Third, it literally had no taste. I am usually not a person who pays for food and throws it away, but honestly if I wanted some stale doughy bread I would have gone to king soopers next door. I would not recommend Enrico's for pre-made meals or sauce.

Nothing like noticing an Italian Market sign as I drive past to cause me to whip out my Yelp app. Great reviews, single "$" sign, I must turn back. I'm glad I did. The shop was filled with anise as fresh pizzelles (sp?) had been made. They sell a selection of sausages, the aforementioned treat, olives, and more. Check their paper and/or board menu. I purchased housemade hot and mild Italian link sold by the weight (roughly $7/lb). They were a gift, but I trust their tempting ingredients to satisfy my meat loving friends.

I've been eyeing down this place since I started work close by. I am an Italian sandwich feign so when I finally made it in today & ordered their Italian sandwich...I was OVERJOYED by how delicious it was. Not only was it full of amazing meat..the bread was perfect. I haven't had homemade bread like that in years. I'm going to a Italian dinner girls night soon & am definitely going to bring one of their pasta dishes. Can't wait to explore their menu more!

Ok...time to get serious!! We have bought fresh Italian sausage here since the early to mid 80's, both hot and mild, links and bulk. I can't say enough about their consistency relating to quality of product and taste. We have also sampled their GREAT homemade pasta, Canoli's, and Calzone's...and again...perfection!! I can tell you, as an amateur Italian cook, their Italian sausage added to my homemade pizza, fried sausage sandwiches, and lasagna...have made me look very good over the years with my family!! I picked up sausage today, and will have homemade pizza over this weekend while watching the Indy race in St. Petersburg. This is a "one of a kind place", don't miss out!! We do not know any of the owners, or even the staff by name, but if anyone from Enrico's reads this, we GREATLY appreciate your store and service over the years!! Norge

The 1st thing that hits you when you walk in is the amazing smell. It engulfs you, and your sure your going to buy everything they have:) They have a number of baked items, like cabbage rolls, ready for the taking. They also have a number of frozen pasta items for your meals. They have the BEST pizza dough!!!! I have tried a number of dough from other places, but none compare with theirs. It really has an italian, back east, flavor to it. Ann Marie will give you a hight five if you tell her you use provolone cheese instead of mozzarella :) Provolone with their homemade dough is "money":) Whenever I stop by there is always someone getting one of their tasty sandwiches.

Small little business with great food! I get there pasta a couple times a month much better then the chain "itailian" places around this area. They also have a selection of sausage, cheeses and you can buy there sauce. Always good so worth trying!

I was on the hunt for a local spot for lunch when Yelp guided me to Enrico's. I've lived in the area my whole life and I don't recall ever noticing this place. Enrico's is a tiny spot located just west of 80th & Sheridan next to a collection of condos in a small strip mall. Enrico's serves up take-out food for any occasion. If you're like me and you're hungry for some cured meats there are a variety of simple sandwiches. I went with the Italian Special which was a combination of all of the meats and two cheeses. Served on a generous portion of Italian bread were thin slices of salami, capicola, soppressata (I think), and I think something else I'm not remembering. While another reviewer complains that the sandwiches don't come with enough meat, I disagree. The slices are thin and make them easy for eating. I don't care for a sandwich that is piled high with 3" of meat. The sandwiches are served with a little lettuce and a couple of slices of tomato and some Italian dressing. Ask for the dressing on the side unless you're eating it immediately. I'm not a thick bread fan so I was happy to find that the Italian bread squishes down pretty quickly and makes for easy sandwich munching. For just over $5, I was pleasantly satisfied. In addition to sandwiches, and what appears to be their specialty are a variety of sausages and other cured meats. You'll also find salads, pastas, meatballs, and pizza. If you're looking for dinner for the night they have a frozen cooler with a few prepared pasta dishes that are ready to be re-heated. To complement your meal there are jars of olives, peppers, mushrooms, tomatoes, and other Italian items. Many of which you can find in your local mega mart, but they work as a great add-on to your purchase. This place is take-out only except for one small dining table indoors, so come prepared. Next time, I'll be back for sausage ... and maybe a meatball sandwich.

I've been trying to find a good Italian sandwich ever since Carbone's on 38th Avenue closed. This ain't it. For almost 7 bucks, I ordered the Italian special and when I got home and opened it up to add some mustard, there was hardly anything between the bread. I'll keep looking.... I will say the place was very clean and the service was friendly and professional, but their sandwich left something to be desired.

Enrico's Italian Market has to be one of the best places you can get authentic homemade Italian food! I live across the way and just descovered their delicious food about a month ago and I've been ordering lunch from them ever sense! I personally love their calzones! I also love the family own and run qualities that come with the place. They open around 9:00am and after around 11:00am they start up the kitchen! If your in the area stop in for lunch! You won't regret it.

I've driven by this place many times with thoughts of giving it a try. Finally, I did and I'm glad I did. I had the meatball sub and it was great. It took some time to make my sub but, I take that as a good sign of a good sandwich and it was. Authentic flavor and at a good price. I will be back soon.

Yay local. Go! Run! Especially if you are from the east and looking for that I-talian fix. Yous know what I'm talkin about, Rocky and Adrian. This is the neighborhood. Ricotta Cookies Homemade "gravy" Thin sliced deli sandwiches Sausage with pepper and onions Cheesse, etc... Would go for five stars, but that little bread problem is apparent here. High altitude and good I-talian bread doesn't mix, folks. But I can forgive it b/c there isn't much one can do about it. And they obviously try. It isn't as if the bread is BAD. Don't let this little place get hit by the economic turn down. Next time you need good sausage, skip whole paycheck...and go here. Please.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
