Don't even bother with this place. A&B Chinese is anything but chinese. I knew something was wrong when my chow mein was actually made with SPAGHETTI NOODLES. I couldn't believe it. They don't say on the menu, but they charge you a fee for delivery. My Kung Pao chicken was absolutely dreadful. No spice, no heat, no flavor, no nothing. It was just bland rubbery chicken with a few veggies and, as mentioned above, made with thick speghetti noodles instead of your typical asian-type noodles. Don't waste your time with this place. I'd rather have eaten at Panda Express for a 3rd of the price.

I really enjoy this place. It is great Chinese that is ready quickly. The owner has a great quirky personality and goes out of her way to treat you right. The food is fresh and tasty. The only complaint I've ever had with this place is the super garlic flavored orange sauce. I, however, stick to the fried rice (in a generous portion) and the sweet and sour chicken. Try this place!

I think this is the best Chinese place in SCV. It is cheap and good. Love their Shrimp Fried Rice and Orange Chicken.

Excellent food at good prices, and the best part is it's all made-to-order. My family really likes ordering lobster from their lobster tank and you get high-quality, Chinese banquet food for a really reasonable price.

I never paid this place much mind, but the strength of the Yelp reviews got me through the doors. I've now been here two days in a row and if I can persuade someone, I'll make it three in a row tomorrow. I am far out of my area of expertise, but this is the best local Chinese place by a kilometer. Prices are great, portions are generous and you can tell by the look in their eye that the cooks here are serious about doing thing right.

This is the only authentic Chinese food you'll find in Valencia. They don't water things down for the masses. They do their own thing and that's what really separates them from the rest of the Panda-Pei-Wei-express-fodder. Prices are cheap for the portions. Their combination fried rice is great along with their chow fun. Don't be afraid to try something you've never had. Their house special shrimp is divine... purely divine... ***Update 5/15/08 I have to admit my last 3 visits here were less than stellar. The Chinese couple that owns the place isn't the most service oriented and they never smile. They never greet you nor use any type of courteous gestures. The wife looks like she hates her life. They're almost like Chinese Food Nazis. But this really isn't the reason why I'm complaining. I've been trying some of the other stuff on the menu besides the usual House Specials and Fried Rice/Chow Fun and I have to say they're not very fun nor good. For one their Mongolion beef is very bland. So bland all you really taste is the brocolli. Their Yang Chow fried rice might was well be called white rice with vegetables. It simply is bland to the bland power. Today I got their Sole Filet in black bean sauce and again, it was super salty yet ultra bland. The flavor of the black bean only came from the black bean itself and the fish just tasted deep fried and drenched in oil. I'll give this place one more shot, otherwise I'll have to drop it like it's yesterday's bag of cow manure. ***Update 06/23/08 Ordered the salt and pepper pork chops and it came out so salty I threw it away after two bites. I've officially given up

This place always reminds me of Seinfeld's Soup-Nazi episode. Food is great, but I am terrified by the host/cashier's demeanor. Therefore only 4 stars. With this in mind, I recommend this place.

This is one of the better Fast Food Chinese places here in Valencia. The prices are great with the choice of a half plate or full plate. If you're eating for 2 people, 2 half plate entrees are perfect. Good selection of food. Shrimp with Lobster sauce, walnut shrimp, sweet and sour chicken, etc.

We received a menu on our door for A&B and, based on recommendations from Yelp decided to give it a try one Friday night with friends. The food was horrendous. It was over fried in rancid oil and laden with oil. Generally we will give a place a second chance because they are all entitled to an off night, but having tried 5 or 6 of the dishes that night without one edible dish sealed the deal. The eggrolls were saturated in oil and actually dripped oil when bitten into. The Orange chicken was in a broth of rancid oil. All of it was inedible and was thrown away immediately. $50.00 down the drain.

It's interesting... After reading all the other comments, I was almost hesitant to leave a 4 star review. It's like high school all over again... The pressures of agreeing with everyone else that this place is awful. Now, I would agree that the person at the counter isn't super duper friendly, but she gets the job done. We always order to-go, and our orders are always taken in a prompt manner. We might not get a huge smile, and a high pitch thank you at the end, but we don't need that when dining to-go. I would also agree that the mongolian beef is slightly spongy and tasteless. It's almost like mystery mongolian beef... Is it really beef? However, there are some really good dishes to try if you haven't. We always order either the salt and pepper pork, the spicy basil chicken, and/or the pork fried rice. The salt and pepper pork is perfectly fried, and seasoned well. It's never been bland, or too well done. The spicy basil chicken is our new favorite. It's very flavorful (but I think next time I might ask for more basil, because it just adds so much). And as for the pork fried rice, they put a ton of pork chunks in there. We requested it without the peas and carrots. Just meat and rice please. I know we've ordered other items, but I just can't remember them, which means, they probably weren't all that great. But I will say, the items mentioned above are pretty good. I wouldn't really recommend dining in, as it does get kind of hot and stuffy in the restaurant. But if you're looking for a tasty pick-up dinner option, try the salt and pepper pork or the spicy basil chicken. Enjoy :)

Lunch specials are on point and great prices. Fried rice it's delicious and their walnut shrimp was fabulous. Their soup can be a little better but it was ok. Overall we will come back again. Service was good and they do have Egg Foo Young it's just not on the menu

Yummy Chinese food in the Santa Clarita Valley?! Ummm.. yes Please! As a former resident of DTLA, the one thing I miss the most about moving so far from the city is the ability to satisfy my anytime Chinatown cravings. Carpool for some honey walnut shrimp anyone? - stumbled upon this gem while looking for a new dry cleaners. They're in the same plaza and the sign said "Express.. Idk why but I assumed it was buffet style, choose your meats and sides type of eatery. I was pleasantly mistaken! It's made to order and they have a full menu. Including lunch, dinner, carryout, delivery and even catering! Everything. I even tried something new and ordered a watermelon Boba drink! It was delicious! Service was good. I actually spoke with the cashier the whole time and couldn't believe how fast my food came out! I ended up eating in instead of taking to go.. I ordered the salt and pepper shrimp with a side of chow mein. Both VERY good. Lots of green onion and flavor. Place is clean and good sized for a fast food joint. The one star off is indeed for the stench. I'm not sure if it's faulty piping, but there is a strong odor (possibly water leak?). A presence that if I had not been warned by fellow yelpers, would've derailed me. Otherwise, this place is my newest Santa Clarita find! :) Thank you A&B!

The owners are very rude !!! And the food is not all that good ! I don't recommend . If they were a bit more courteous I would have given them a better rating but I feel that service is just as important as food quality.

When I received a menu in my mailbox I decided to try this place. My GF and I wanted to try the many vegetarian options they have. The first thing is they don't have a public restroom. I like to wash my hands before I eat. My main issue with this place is they are not eco friendly at all. Even if you order to dine in everything is served in or on plastic or styrofoam. They are too cheap to hire a dishwasher. Even the soup came in a foam container for eating in. What a waist of plastic and styrofoam. This restaurant has a huge carbon footprint so I can't support this business even thought the food is decent. If the owner is reading this please invest in reusable flatware, utensil and wash dishes. You are adding lots of unnecessary waist to a landfill.

There is a rank odor that slaps you in the face when you enter: it's somewhere between fermented rodents and fish guts... Time to check the filter on the aquarium. The $8.50 tofu, eggplant & green beans struggles under the viscus sauce, direct from a Midwestern factory somewhere. The brown rice is without salt, or tea or anything... And yet, the result is really quite edible. "Good health will be yours for a long time."

Haven't been here in a while . What the heck happened ? Black bean fish fillet was gross as if it were 3 years frozen and they took it out of the freezer to cook it. I CAN tell because I have been eating here since they opened around 2002? Long time customer but now I gotta say my GOODBYES to this place.

Watch out Panda Express! This place rocks. All lunch and dinner are cook to order. If you want hot Chinese food quick then this place is it. I usually come to this place for lunch. I'm a big eater and their portion is just perfect to sometimes even too much even for my big appetite. All lunch menus come with a small cup of soup too, usually Hot & Sour Soup. Today I ordered my usual Kung Pow Beef. Not too salty and just right for my Asian palate. I'm so glad I was able to find this place. Hey A&B I wish you stick around for a long long time~~~

The food is decent for SCV Chinese food. Growing up in the San Fernando Valley, I was used to having lots of choices for Chinese food, not so much here in the SCV. I actually remember this place when it was in the Valley on the corner of Reseda and Devonshire. The Pan Fried Noodles are good. Unfortunately, the service here is not great. Unfriendly might be a nice way of putting it. Called in the order, greeted fairly bluntly and rudely. At pick up, they act like you're bothering them. We ordered a good amount of food to go, but then they wanted to charge me for paper plates. At the end of the day, I understand if you feel the need to charge me for the extra plates (while I personally think it is part of a restaurant's cost of doing business). And the manner in which I was told this was very oft-putting. I just gave you business. At least tell me nicely.

Well, I should have taken hint at the 3 star yelp review and the fact that the place had a total of 3 people at 1 PM. Got the Kung Pow Chicken for lunch, and needless to say, it was terrible. Did not even taste like Chinese food and didn't have the flavors. Only had enough to fill my stomach and threw the rest away. Atmosphere also gets 1 star. While eating the two workers behind the counter were having a conversation and talking loud and cussing. And come on man, turn the darn AC on, I was sweating while eating! Honestly, do yourself a favor and don't come here. Go to Panda Express or something instead.

Got food today and this place now sucks! Food taste like crap! I used to go here years ago and things have changed. Price has gone up! Portions are now smaller! The only thing they have going for them is there sweet and sour sauce. I'm really disappointed about this place and will be finding a new place to eat around Valencia. Three star yelp review should go down to 1. If your looking for somewhere to eat - don't go here

I love this place! The honey walnut shrimp is to die for, the garlic shrimp is average to be honest. The chow mein has always been spot on when I ordered it, as well as the fried rice. Now I will admit, as many times as I've come here, I've always ordered the same things (all of the above except the garlic shrimp) and to be honest I doubt I'll venture to far into the menu seeing as how I'm definitely a creature of habit haha Depending on when you come and what you get, it can get pricey, however the quantity and taste of the food, I feel is worth it. It's a small place for sure, there are times where the owner/lady can seem rude, however I'm convinced thats just how she seems, it's an unintended mannerism because she always checks on my table with a smile and thanks me before leaving. I've never had delivery from here so I can't speak on that experience but every time I've gotten take-out or sat here and ate it's been an enjoyable experience. Mind you, this is just 1 young mans opinion, come here and see for yourself! Everyone I've ever brought has loved it :-) Enjoy (hope this helps)

Ok first of all food taste and preference is totally subjective. I prefer bold flavors that jump all over my palate. Another thing you have to think about is we live in the freakin desert!! It's not quite the arm pit of sol cal, but it's 40 mins from LA and 1 hour away from Alhambra or China Town. Which might as well be light years away. This is what I like here Anything with House Special. Shrimp Sole BBQ Pork fried rice.

Eh...don't really have much to say. Not that great of food. Delivery was fast - I give them that.

I can't even believe that anyone would rate this place higher than 1 star. If you think place is good you've obviously never had good Chinese food. The Egg Drop Soup looked and smelled so bad we just threw it out. The. Mongolian Beef was tasteless and the "meat" was squishy. The House Chicken was awful. We just threw it all away. What a waste of $50! Oh they have no idea how to make fried rice. STAY FAR AWAY!! FYI, we live 1 mile away and delivery took an hour.

  • Stephanie R.

This is my fave place to get Chinese (fast) food. I can't get enough of the Cha Sui Bao (fluffy dumplings filled with BBQ) & Ha Gow (Cantonese dumplings stuffed with bamboo & shrimp). I always get hot & sour soup & theirs is really good. I'm usually full from a couple dumplings & soup but my other half really enjoys their beef broccoli & other dishes. I often go out of my way to stop by on my way home from work to grab a refreshing Thai tea with boba. Aaaaahhh! Inside dining is limited but just enough, they also offer carry-out & delivery. I like to call ahead & pick up dinner on my way home. As long as they're here I'll continue to be a customer.

  • Elliott B.

Food is made fresh at the moment you order! The menu is over priced for the portion you get for lunch so that is a downer for the overall rating!

  • Julie R.

This is authentic Chinese food like they have in Chinatown. Try the fish filet in house special sauce and you'll be in heaven. Also good are the salt & pepper pork chop, salt & pepper squid and garlic shrimp. I'm a huge fan of the curry chicken, too! Don't bother with the Kung pao.

    (5)
  • Joe S.

We only tried the salted squid, salted fish, lo mein, and Shao mai (their spelling). I thought it was pretty bad. The squid was greasy and the fish was greasy with a consistency of gelatinous fish cake instead of real fish. The lo mein was very plain tasting. It was fairly expensive to boot.

Absolutely INEDIBLE! Orange chicken was hard, tough and beyond chewy, like gnawing on gristle. Total waste of of money, I couldn't get past the first piece. Eggrolls were completely mushy inside, like beyond what it should be. Almost like water logged veggies, it was wet and mush mush inside. And the sweet and sour sauce that came with it was congealed into a solid jello like consistency. I tried to dip an eggroll and it didn't make a dent in the sauce, it was soft but totally SOLID! I don't even know how thats possible, was it old or stored incorrectly? I have no idea. Lat but not least, the old lady behind the counter was rude and seemed so joyless. No smile, no hello or thank you and no response to when I said hello to her. Eat anyplace else, literally, any place else you go will be a better choice.

    (1)
  • Melissa S.

The worst Chinese food I have ever had. Tried the chow mein, orange chicken and beef and broccoli and I ended up throwing all of it away because it was TERRIBLE. It really is a taste preference.

  • Zoey W.

They no longer accept the 25-Score discount card. BOO! But, A & B is still a reliable place to get some good takeaway Chinese food.

    (5)
  • Neil F.

Oh this was awful. I hadn't been for about a year and thought I'd give it another go. The hot and sour soup was too vinegary. The Mongolian beef had no favour and I'm not sure now whether it was even beef. The house chow main was ok. The kung pao chicken was lacking in kick. Everything just tasted stale and greasy, as if it was going to poison me. I'm so upset and I'm very hungry.

  • Chadi B.

This used to be our favorite Chinese take out joint. Somewhere along the line the food took a dive and the portions became smaller. I had guests over last week and i ordered 4 Full Size plates, and the food was not enough. it was very embarrassing. When I was placing my order they didn't have half the things i attempted to order. The lady on the phone didn't even know they had a website. I am guessing the place is under new ownership.

I have given this place several tries as good Chinese in SCV is non-existent. We had awful food there once before but after a 6 month break we decided to try again. Mediocre food a few times, but this last time was the worst. FIRST, the owner? lady that answers the phone is always rude. Hi, I'm giving you business, at least be civil and don't make it sound like I'm annoying you. Usually delivery is quick, but this time I was quoted 45 minutes. 50 minutes later I was calling and asking and was told "delivery man was on his way". 20 minutes later he showed up. We live 2 minutes away. He was apologetic ( not thinking it was his fault ) but I was a little pissed. The topper was the food however. I dished out some house fried rice to my 3 year old who ate 2 grains and promptly refused to touch it. After tasting it I knew why, it tasted rancid. Do they recycle the oil for use from day to day? It was putrid, even made the trash can unbearable after a few hours, truly impressive. Sadly, this is the second time this has happened ( leading to the 6 month hiatus ). They didn't give us the ordered steamed rice either. The rest of the food was it's usual bland but passable self. Never again. Not even worth complaining about since I know the owner won't care. Warning to all, save your money and your stomach.

Honestly the most delicious Orange Chicken combo I have ever eaten. You can actually taste flavor throughout the meal, from the Orange Chicken through the Fried Rice, everything tastes excellent! The best wontons too! Not pre-packaged items either! The cream cheese literally oozes out and is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED you get! Overall I wish this place was closer so that i can eat it everyday!

I had been a loyal for last 5 years I lived in SCV. They started cutting down the meat in most of their dishes. I may need to look for other ones out there. Need to head out to San Fernando to get more decent Chinese food. Bye A & B.

Do not go here if your looking for good Chinese food, it's extremely mediocre and overpriced! They gave me a lunch portion at 6pm! Unacceptable

I found this place to be a decent and more authentic Cantonese Style Chinese food. Their beef chow fun is delicious. We haven't tried too many dishes, but the ones that we have ordered were all great. We have only done take-out and the cashier was always very friendly. I highly recommend this place for those who like more of the Cantonese Style Chinese food (not quite Americanized).

Siomai/ Shumai or however they spell it is the best here for me! I usually buy 40 pcs or more of that at a time! I wish they have chicken feet though.

I love Chinese food...anyone who knows me or has read any of my reviews knows this. This place does not meet my standards for good Chinese...and because I have plenty of options, their menu will be tossed on the pile and remanded to also-ran status... I was excited because they deliver and had some really great menu items...like shui mai and bao. But, alas, the food STILL needs to be good. And this food barely reached good. Poor seasoning ratios were the downfall, in my opinion. Of course it didn't help that there was definitely a communication barrier. I explained what I wanted and only kind of got it. I asked the nice lady who answered if the had plain won ton soup...not just wor won ton...I wanted broth and won tons, that's it. What I received (after she answered "yes" to my question) was broth, veggies and won tons...no meat. Wor won ton...hold the meat. That was disappointment #1...disappointment #2 was the broth...dishwater has more taste...no flavor. And the won ton stuffing was bland. Bland seemed to be the order of the day...the stuffing in the shu mai was bland...the dipping sauce for the shu mai was bland. The bao was understuffed and very bland...I'm sure it could have been better with more stuff and less bun. Then came the Shrimp and Lobster Sauce...and bland went out the window. Talk about a garlic-palooza. It was just too much...especially after my taste buds had been blanded into submission. Too much garlic and not enough of the subtleties that make up Shrimp and Lobster Sauce...though that is likely my own fault...I would't order that at a place like Panda Express, either. So this place is off the list. Nothing ventured, nothing gained, nothing saved as leftovers...

Was craving chow fun, so I went in and bought a chicken chow fun for about $10, with high expectations--but unfortunately I was a bit disappointed. Even with the hot sauce it just didn't taste that great. Maybe their other food tastes better, I don't know.

First review on yelp - it actually came to this. I love small hole in the wall Chinese places, normally I'd take them over something like Pei Wei or Panda Express any day, support local business. From a place like A & B I kind of expected greasy noodles, and neon colored sauces when you order something like "house special fried chicken and noodles" and I'm ok with the somewhat questionable nature of its origin. We used to have a place in Oakland like that, sketchy and questionable looking, but made great food. A&B - is not one of those places. It is reasonably clean, the person behind the counter was efficient, although not friendly, and from its appearance it is your normal suburban white tiled and boring ethnic restaurant. I say all of that to suggest that I'm not disappointed with the cleanliness or friendliness factors, those were acceptable. What I am disappointed with was the food. What I ordered should be called "house special mushy wet tasteless chicken" and "funny smelling grease noodle chow mien". Same goes for the mongolian beef - weird texture, no flavor, and an extra helping of grease. Maybe I'm not well versed in the art of authentic Chinese cuisine and I'm missing something, but I don't look for authentic Chinese at a hole in the wall of suburban strip-mall - or as the other reviewer referred to 'authentic "chinese" ' which makes me assume she means "Americanized Chinese". Were I searching for Americanized Chinese - I'd search somewhere else. Pay the extra few bucks and go with a chain, I'd pay an extra four dollars just to lose the extra pound of grease out of my bucket of tasteless mushy chicken special. To be fair, it was Sunday afternoon and perhaps the normal cook was off. 2 stars for clean appearance and convenience - although I would imagine that the deli food at Safeway is probably better.

I love, love, love Chinese food. I needed something quick, and this place was adjacent to my shopping trip, so I checked the reviews and decided to give it a try. I cannot figure out what all the enthusiasm was based on for some of these reviews. I ordered four different items. Two were average, but one I was really disappointed by: the beef chow fun. The beef was really chewy, and I had ordered it with extra sauce, but it was practically dry when I opened the container at home. Nothing tasted bad, but I will go somewhere else to satisfy my Chinese food cravings.

Decent Chinese food at best. It is one of the more authentic Chinese restaurants . A&B offers you a more typcal Cantonese style Chinese food. Lots of wok fried meats with vegetables and rice. Lunch specials are decently priced and the portions are very generous. I've never dined here for dinner, so I typically order one lunch combination. It includes white rice, the entree, and soup/salad. It's a good amount of food and I can never finish it. Some of my typical orders are the Yang Chow Fried rice, salt and pepper pork, mabo tofu, and sole with black bean sauce. All of the food is decent, but I stick to what I'd normally get if I was in the SGV

I've been searching for a great take out chinese place, and I think A&B is going to be it. It's chinese take out- it's not fancy chinese, it's not authentic chinese, it's chinese take out! They've got all of your favorites- orange and kung pao chicken, beef and broccoli, sweet and sour pork, great chow mein...it's hard to choose. The kung pao wasn't spicy enough for me, but I'm a white girl so sometimes I've got to ask for the extra heat. Fast service and easy in-and-out parking...A&B's a winner for the night you don't want to cook and just want to dig into some noodley gooness.

I've been here twice. First was with a friend and the 2nd was to try out the dish he ordered. Valencia doesn't have really good ethnic food. It's white people haven so everything in this town is catered for the white folk, including the Chinese food. I had a fish in a pepper sauce and salt and pepper squid. The squid was rubbery which meant it was overcooked. Being Asian, I noticed, but I don't think the white folk would.

i love this place my daughter and the girls we make it a date a few times a year to come out to valencia just to eat here wish they had one in lancaster or palmdale, this is a special treat for us the food is great. i love the dim sum yum!!!!!

This place didn't impress me. The food was okay. The chow main was the best part of the orange chicken combo I ordered. The skin on the chicken was super tough, and very chewy. There wasn't much flavor. No orange-ee-ness that's for sure. And the fried rice was plain too. At least the addition of a fountain drink was only 50 more cents. The best bite of the meal was the piece of steak that accidentally got mixed in with my chowmein. I'll order that next time.

  • David H.

Really good authentic chinese food! The best part about this place is that everything is made-to-order, from the entrees, to even the fried rice and chow mein that comes with your meal! I was with a larger group, so we were able to order a number of things off the menu. Some of the dishes that really stood out were the salt and pepper squid, the house special fried rice, and the kung pao shrimp. I'm not from the area, but if I'm ever back in Valencia, I will make sure to go back to A & B!

This was a phone order for delivery... Service: put me on hold then asked if she could call me back in 5 minutes. I abliged. She called back but was slightly rude. Sounded very hurried. Forgivable I thought. Nice to know someplace is busy. Delivery: Delivery was fast and polite! Food: the chicken fried rice was sticky and slightly mushy. Didn't like it. The sweet and sour chicken was tender but the breading fell off and the flavor seemed like it was from a bottle. The chicken with house sauce...DELICIOUS!!! Sweet, peppery, garlicy...I woulld order this again and just get rice. Overall a disapointment, but the house chicken ROCKED!

We do like A&B Chinese Express - love the House Special Chow Mein or House Special Chicken. He really likes the Salt and Pepper Squid. The prices are great and the food is easy for call in/pick up. While I'd probably prefer to give them 4-stars, I find it really annoying that they have a 25-Score discount sticker on their door and are listed on the 25-Score website as offering a 5% discount. However, when you ask for it, they say that they don't participate in 25-Score. Bleh.

I have to say I was pretty impressed by the quality of the food I got here, and the price. I ordered a lunch special for around $7 and it lasted me a meal and a half it was so big. I had tried their shrimp with lobster sauce (shrimp, water chestnuts, and mushrooms in egg noodle lobster sauce) with some egg noodle soup. Personally, I like the egg noodle soup at Moon Wok better, but MAN their lobster sauce shrimp was good. I'm not a fan of eggs or mushies (the sans-psychedelic ones anyway hehee), but I really couldn't even taste them at all, it was a delicious brothy flavor. I'm definitley coming back around lunch time again to try their other dishes, and their sour spicy soup.

Good food, cheap price. I get the Kung Pao dish with Tofu when I'm on a vegetarian kick. Salted shrimp is great also.

Based on the food - Three and a half stars. A personal favorite. I've ordered take-out here a few times now and can report that the food here is quite good. The kitchen is fast too. If you're more accustomed to the fried, salty, sweet stuff served at chains like Panda Express you might not enjoy this place. Your loss. Take it for for it is, good, cheap take-out / delivery chinese food.

Rat or cat? It's your guess. I have hear a lot of hype about this place, but had never gone. A friend had just moved across the street and was hankerin' for some Chinese. We decided to order take out and finish watching the game at his new place. Despite our ravenous appetites, neither of us could swallow more than a few bites. The fried rice was a salt ball, the lo mein was absolutely flavorless, and the meat...well, you tell me. Was is cat or rat? We both decided it was gopher. There are so many Chinese restaurants in SCV. Please, for your palate and possible safety, go somewhere else. Anywhere else.

I had a horrible experience with this Chinese place. It was excessively greasy and made my tummy hurt. I spent $8 to be sick and I was pretty disappointed. It could have been an off day but honestly I'm too scared to go back and find out.

The place is a bit of a dive. The open kitchen with the poor ventilation fills the place with the smell of grease in the air. The people are friendly with limited English and the food is subpar. I can honestly say that you'll probably find better Chinese food at Pick Up Stix and perhaps even Panda Express depending on the dish. The dim sum is horrible. The freezer aisle at Trader Joe has better tasting Shu Mai then this place for half the price. For those craving dim sum invest in a steamer and get it from Trader Joe's or plan to make a drive because there just hasn't been a place in Santa Clarita that offers decent dim sum. At least none that I'm aware of.

SO.. if your looking for anything chinese in the SCV this is it. It is the closest to authentic "chinese" food. It's cheap and the portions are really big. Their lunch specials come with either soup or salad and the food is cooked on the spot when you order. None of that panda express business. That being said they are really fast at making the dishes. I usually get the fish fillet w/black bean sauce or their moo go gai pan. From time to time they carry fresh live lobster and crab in their fish tanks where you pick out which one you want

Half-decent Chinese food in Valencia is a mirage. There's a few awful restaurants and one high priced fancy place that merely sells Panda Express on a square plate. A+B Chinese Express is your best option in this slice of suburban cursed Earth. It may not bowl you over with amazingness, but the food is fresh and tasty. It's definitely far superior to any other option and a cut above standard takeout fare. I particularly like the salt + pepper squids. I'm still bummed that they changed the Peking Pork Chop sauce 5 years ago. Never forget.

My family has recently discovered boba, and we love it. Unfortunately, A&B doesn't know how to make a good boba drink. The first time we went there, the man made them way too sweet. Today when we went there, the woman made them with hardly any flavor (I asked for mango) and the smoothie was not very well blended. The boba tasted like cardboard, and I feel like I wasted my money! If you want good boba, it's worth driving to northridge, and going to boba tea house.

Definitely better than Panda Express. Costs more, but big portions and less greasy than the Panda. Had the Kung Pao, and not overly spicy. If you are going to Magic Mountain, slide into A & B Express after hitting those insane coasters. It's very close by.

So I've been to A&B a handful of times but I've never written a review. Here I go! I have some history with the family that owns this restaurant as my own family use to frequent their sit down restaurant in Northridge. When I found out they had sold the business and moved up here I was happy AND sad. In my opinion this is the best Chinese takeout in the valley. Lunch Combos were in the $7 arena and included soup a single item and rice. All food is cooked to order and PIPING hot when served in the requisite styrofoam container. I dig the hot and sour soup, which also burned the hell out of my mouth, and the egg flour soup was a little bland. The only "bummer' is that unlike your typical takeout joint (ie:Panda) you get 1 item with your combo. I won't lie there was no way I could finish the amount they gave me, but it would be nice to have some variety. Not sure why I don't frequent it more often, it might be the awkward location, slapped in the middle of the mediocre food triangle (Dickies, Elephant Bar & Olive Garden) but it's definitely a place worth trying.

Really good Moo Goo Gai Pan and Beef with broccoli. The best part was the Salt and Pepper Squid.... So yummy!!! Would definitely come back.

The food was too oily. The whole place was too smoky, they need more air suction to vent out the smoke. Nothing too impressive.

We have been eating here for many years. Small location usually take it to go. Service is friendly. The House Special Chow Mein or House Special Chicken.. The prices are great and the food is easy for call in/pick up. They do honor the 25Score card. 5% off does help. We ussually add the discount to the tip.

The only Chinese food place that I know of that tastes pretty good. I'd pick this place over Panda Express lol.

I don't have any problem with this place. I usually order it for take out. My favorite is beef kung pao and shrimp kung pao. It was hard to find a good chinese restaurant in santa clarita (I usually go to Alhambra for good chinese food) so I was happy when I tried their kung pao for the first time was delish. and about the cashier, yeah..she never smiles, but who cares as long as I get my food.

Awful! Awful! Awful! Awful! I ordered from this place mainly because they deliver and I had their menu. I ordered the Thai Iced Tea with Boba - and they forgot the straw!! How can you drink this without a straw?!?! The Vegetable Chow Mein was cold, devoid of vegetables and huge! The Kung Pao chicken was chewy and not spicy at all and the House Special Fried Rice made me wonder what the 'special' stood for. I took one bite and had to throw it out. I wouldn't offer this food to my worst enemy.

THIS PLACE IS AWFUL!!!! DO NOT EAT HERE. Any business owner who is THAT CHEAP about there napkins and soy sauce you can only imagine how cheap they are about the quality of there food. They don't even let you use there bathroom if you eat there... probably because its filthy... Imagine the kitchen. You can tell by the attitude of the people there they truly don't care about you or customer service they just want you in and out and want your AMERICAN MONEY... These are the type of business owners that are destroying our economy. Cheap Business owners that probably just send all there money back to were they came from. Spend your money somewhere else! and NO the food does not taste good. below average.

The only place in SCV worthy enough for me to get Chinese food. These guys are a quick serve casual dining place. (What Chinese food isn't quick serve?) Anyways, I don't eat Chinese too often, but this is the place I go to. Food to love: Yang chow fried rice- that's the way it's supposed to be made. This particular fried rice is NOT suppose to have soy sauce in it. The something something pork chops- bone sucking and finger licking good The lobster with green onion and ginger sauce- I have dreams about this dish. Gianormous portions at dirt cheap prices-- all the right things for a hungry girl. UPDATE: 9/14/07 What the crap did I just eat? I ordered sweet & sour shrimp and ma bo tofu. Here's what they gave me: Red syrup with fried shrimp and canned pineapples tofu swimming in brown unseasoned thickened dishwater. What the heck???

My favorite Chinese in all of the SCV. They take call-in orders, which I do to save time. It's always ready when I come in, and always right. My mouth salivates at the thought of their house special chicken, house special shrimp and salt & pepper squid. The half size is plenty of food (I always have leftovers), and a decent price - you'll get your meal, a drink and some crunchy noodles for less than $10.

Good place for take out. The ventilation in the restaurant needs to be more powerful. You will come out smelling like Chinese food if you dine in. Pretty good flavor and good value. It's a good option for Santa Clarita.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
