Chipotle is always good for me. Love the barbacoa with their hot sauce. Eileen likes their quacamole [ick]... The staff are always friendly at the store in Upland, and the place is always clean. I do wish the seats were a little more comfortable.

This place is AWESOME, the best healthy-ish fast food you can get! Granted, I am here waayyy too often but the people here are SUPER nice and always have a smile. Bburrito bowl, extra brown rich, black beans, chicken, veg, mils, corn and cheese. Perfect meal for when it is too hot to cook!

I've liked Chipotle most places, but for some reason, this was the most boring bowl I've ever had with them. It was food, it was filling, it was unimpressive. I will, however, admit that it was served to me only a few minutes prior to closing.

They always say "Welcome!!" When someone walks in. It can be irritating at noon when EVERYONE is coming and going but whatever. I get the salad, with no vinegrette. It's delicious. I wish their guacamole had less onions in it, but it's fine. I love their chicken and roasted corn. They always give the right amount of cheese and sour cream. Very nice people and very quickly served.

great food, friendly environment & good customer service. You are greeted as soon as you enter the establishment. Lively music calls for a more enjoyable experience.

amazing food, amazing manager Freddy, amazing staff, and did I mention amazing food. I really like the atmosphere here, and the reggae music they play during the lunch hour. The patio is lovely the parking lot is amazing.

I heard people RAVE about this place, my boyfriend and I went only because we had a buy one get one free coupon. We went in, I ordered my food and the chick was really nice at first, but when my boyfriend ordered, the girl got SUPER rude and annoyed. Noo idea why! We got our food, and while I was eating my burrito I noticed THEY ROLLED IT WRONG! Instead of rolling it like a NORMAL burrito, where you get a little bit of everything in each bite, they rolled it the opposite! The first few bites were ONLY rice and guac, and all the meat was at the bottom end of the burrito. Such a bummer. We will never go here again even if we get another coupon

YAY! Chipotle veggie burritos with fajita filling and their cilantro filled rice are awesome 5.60 for your fill... YUMMY!

I love Chipotle in general and I love all of their fresh and animal friendly options, but I can't give this place a full five stars because it's so unbearably cold. Yesterday my boyfriend and I went for dinner and everyone was perfectly friendly despite what many other reviewers are saying. My boyfriend got a margarita which is very good thing for an American fast food chain to offer in my opinion. They gave him the last of the batch which nearly filled his cup then brought him a fresh full cup for no extra charge apologizing for giving him the left overs of the last batch. Awesome. If only they could turn the air down, this place would be perfect.

This is a great Chipotle right next to an Albertson's. This is probably the closest Chipotle to my house, but I rarely go to it. It's a great location, with good customer service, and like most other Chipotle's, they tend to get busy in the evening around the dinner bell. I've never left this Chipotle unhappy, and I recommend it if Chipotle is your kind of place.

Technically 3.5 stars is what I rate Chipotle. They offer decent burritos and have fresh ingredients. Prices are very good to for the amount of food you receive. If you have an aversion to waiting in lines for 10-20 minutes, you may want to stay clear during the the lunchtime rush or weekend dinner nights. I had no issue with the tip jar like some have had since it is commonly at places that don't wait on the patrons (e.g. The Coffee Bean/Starbucks).

This place is good. One time my tortilla ripped from being so stuffed with goodness so they doubled wrapped it!

Sometimes I come here when I am in a crappy mood. There seem to be a lot of attractive girls that eat lunch here. The food is always good, and employees are nice. I usually leave happy!

I haven't been to Chipotle in a while & by that I mean at least a good year & a half so for a late lunch Chipotle sounded pretty good & I left feeling empty handed. Maybe it's just me or have the portion sizes decreased? I used to to not be able to eat their whole bowls, or maybe that's just a personal issue. Aha. Anyways I wasn't impressed, the food was bland & expensive. Definitely not a good combination.

The place was very clean when I came in at 11:45am. All the staff smiled at me, helped me pick a protein for my burrito and then was patient as I decided the rest. All ingredients looked appetizing, the guacamole was fresh and tasty - totally worth the $1.90 extra - and as the line got longer, efficiency improved rather than lagged. I'm surprised at the bad reviews I've seen recently, because my experience was so good. My barbacoa (steak) was tender and cooked to perfection, guac was fresh, veggies tasty and the portions of each were more than adequate. Whomever the GM is, he/she is running with a great daytime staff! Bravo, Chipotle.

Debating between a 2 and 3 star for this location, but in comparing it with other Chipotle restaurants, giving a 2 primarily for the following reasons: 1) While the staff is actually really friendly, they have trouble listening. Cust: "I'd like a chicken burrito", Employee: "What kind of meat would you like?". 2) Their tables were in dire need of some attention. Cleaning. The place wasn't busy enough to have an excuse for their dirtiness. As for the food - it just didn't have the Chipotle taste I'm familiar with. Sad day for Chipotle.

I am a die hard chipotle fan but the staff here acts as if their job is the worst thing ever , the food is cold and they really ration their portions , the lay helping me got upset that I asked for salsa on the side instead of on top and rolled her eyes the whole time , the chicken was cold as well as the rice and beans and the guac tasted extremely old, and it wasn't my first time at this location with the same experience , do yourself a favor and drive another 10min to your other chipotle

These guys are great! Used the phone app to order food for myself and 3 coworkers and not only was it made quickly, but all items were labeled so we knew who ordered what. Love Chipotle chips. Very sad I will not be frequenting this location anymore as I am no longer working at the car dealership next door. More sad to miss out on this Chipotle than to leave the dealership!!!

Don't go late night because the staff will look at you with a very "upset" look on their face since they close in 15 mins and seem to be upset that they have customers. And don't ask for extra cilantro cause if it isn't already out they'll just say they are out so the don't have to chop more... Which takes less than a minute. Will not come back to this location. Oh I walk up and the girl Doesn't greet me just says "what do you want" I respond with "hello how are you?" Her answer "good (with a stop talking and order cause I wanna go home look even though we are still open on her face) "what can I get you?"

I will admit that although I live around the corner from this location I have not been in a while. The service here consistently is friendly and pleasant. I went in on Saturday as I needed sustenance and right now I am staying away from meat, but I was rushing around with errands and wanted to grab something healthy then be on my way. I ordered a burrito bowl with Soffritto, black beans, guacamole, lite sour cream, corn salsa lite cheese, cilantro rice and lite lettuce. It was horrible I made myself have 3 bites but I couldn't eat it. The corn in the corn salsa taste like they were al dente corn and the beans didn't taste cooked all the way either :( I asked if they had changed recipes recently (as I haven't been here in a while) and they answered no then i was given another bowl w/o Soffritto cuz I thought that may be throwing me off as well. But the second bowl was just as bad so I ended up taking it with the intention of giving it to a homeless person. When I arrived many of the table areas were dirty but they sure were nice at the counter though and I did notice that they had to keep calling 'cashier' a few times to get the young ladies attention LOL Respectfully reviewed

After seeing all the reviews about poor customer service, I had to add my two cents in. I've been to this Chipotle more times than I could count and I have never had an issue. Even still, I can say that recently they hired an extremely wonderful new gentleman that always has a smile on his face and goes out of his way to be very accommodating and nice. I'm going to go out on a limb and say that was partly due to all the negative comments on this page.... so, customer service is not at all an issue here anymore if it ever was at all. As far as portions go, when things are busy these poor people barely have time to breathe much less make sure you get all yours. If you're displeased by what they've given, just speak up... duh. As far as I'm concerned, this location is awesome and people are too damn picky.

  • Gail K.

I live closer to this location but drive to Montclair instead due to the portion size they give me every time I go. Ridiculously small! I've never had issues with their customer service. They've always been nice to me.

We've been ordering here from where i work nearby. At least two times a month. The taste of the food is not consistent. Its either no taste or its good. My friends order gets messed up all the time. She wants no pico, theres pico. Wants corn, no corn. And the order is faxed over. I just dont get it.

Go to any other chipotle....STAY AWAY...not this one. The ladies are noce and friendly b7t thats the only reason they get a star. Came in for lunch today for the family and picked up a few bowls. I should have paid more attention but they where rushing me thru the line even though no one was behind me. Anyways the dark haired gentlmen was cheap as hell in tegaurds to portions. The bowls where full of lettece......i got screwed on meat, rice and beans. Then once I got home my wife also had a hair in hers. Its funny, even my 5 year old asked wheres the meat. I would take this crap back but live too far away.

Let me start by saying that I LOVE Chipotle. Chipotle is the "build your own burrito" king! I generally love the flavor profiles they've developed for their chicken, steak and barbacoa (beef) meats. I'm partial to the black beans and white rice and I go for a heap of guacamole/avocado instead of sour cream every time (though the sour cream is a good option if you like it). My issue with THIS Chipotle is the customer service I always receive. I've visited on several occasions when there is no line or "rush". Even then, with nobody behind me in line, I feel like the employees try to rush me through the line. I feel pressured to stick to my usual because I don't want to hold up the employee any longer than he/she obviously wants to be. In addition, there have been a few times when I've got the rude, dragged out sigh when I've made a mistake on something I want in the burrito. I felt so bad that I said "you know what, never mind, just leave it, I'll eat it that way", to which, I received even MORE attitude. Once, I brought my 1 year old (and a few months) daughter with me and she made a HUGE mess on the floor. I had planned to clean up as best I could before I left, however, an employee walked by and made sure I heard "I had just cleaned this area up" as she walked by. Look, for those employees who work here that are going through school or have aspirations for something bigger: We've all been there, and this is only temporary, so lighten up. For those employees who are going to work fast food the rest of their lives: You had your chance, and you blew it, now deal with the consequences of your poor decisions. Sadly, I will be back, but only because my family and I love Chipotle and there isn't another one around for miles.

This place is like all other Chipotles I've visited, I've been here a few times & have never had an issue. On my last visit a homeless man came in and asked for some food, he was given a plate & a drink which is VERY COOL & will have me returning.

I love Chipotle in general but this location is staffed by a bunch of rude, disrespectful employees. The employees were bickering at each other because one wasn't making an order correctly. They had no regard to remain professional in front of customers. The two men in front of me said and I quote, "Not only are we getting a meal tonight but a free show. " Cynthia, the cashier was very rude not only to me but the Woman ahead of me. I will never come back to this location simply because of the poor customer service.

We had a fax order for our office lunch today. Again orders ware wrong. I got wrong meat, no rice or vegetable in burrito bowl. Steak was so fatty and tough. Stop eating after the 2 bites. Ordered chips, didn't get one again. It is a fax order... all the options are selected on the sheet. How can they mess up so badly???

This location doesn't care much for their customers. Last week I was short changed by a few dollars and when I called the store manager she really gave me a hard time. I only asked that she see if their drawer was over at the end of the night. I finally got her to agree to call me the next day one way or the other. Guess what...yep, she never called. Great store manager

Super friendly staff. Food is okay. Chicken tastes like it had been out all day and the same with the rice. Charged adult price for a kids bean and cheese burrito which was odd. My family loves it here and comes about 3 times a week. I myself don't see what they like about it. I'd rather spend the same amount of money and go to the local Mexican restaurant. I am very grateful for such happy employees here. You don't see that much anymore.

Quesorrito is $3.50 extra!!! Said it was because it holds up the line. I looked behind me and there was No one was in line. Then I'm sitting there eating and an employee gets a quesorrito with a full line and was not charged extra for it soooooo lame

    (3)
  • Cherise M.

I love Chipotle, but they are quickly going down hill. They rush you the line and don't even give you a chance to give your order. I am alway misheard and they end up putting something in my bowl I don't ask for or almost putting in the bowl. I always get steak and lately it's been very fatty. So bad to the point that half my steak is uneaten. On top of that, we have ordered group orders online, all three time they have messed up someones order OR good is missing. Very disappointed with this location and Chipotle.

AVOID THIS CHIPOTLE LIKE CANCER!!! Ordered online to pick up around 8pm during the weekday and stopped by precisely 5 minutes before. Noticed this location was completely empty and no customers, didn't think much of it but I was wrong. This location has terrible workers with jibber jabber and none of them greeted me and had to wait until they were done with their conversation which was nothing work related btw. Paid for my order and when I got home, my heart sank because I got ripped off big time! My burrito bowl was filled about half way of the bowl and aside they skimped on everything else including guacamole which I paid extra for!!! WHAT A RIP OFF! DO NOT ORDER ONLINE OR STOP BY TO EAT HERE IF YOU WANT TO GET CHEATED!!!!! THEY DON'T GET YOUR BURRITO BOWLS FILLED!!!!

This restaurant consistently runs out of carnitas. For a Mexican fast food place located in S. Cal this does not make sense. This is evidence of poor management or poor negotiation skills with their suppliers. Additionally, the staff has a constant turnover. And the staff they do have are incompetent, not friendly and have no training or skill in customer service. This place should be closed down. Extremely poor service, poor food quality and overall terrible. Upland should not renew their business licence

  • Ji O.

Love love love their customer service! Faxed in our order today and four of us ordered! Got there at noon, unfortunately our food wasnt ready.. They had asked us to wait 15 more minutes as the chicken wasnt ready! We were patiently waiting for our food to get ready and next thing we knew was the workers gave us our lunch on the house. They apologized and insisted that we dont pay for our food and our drinks as well. Hour later GM called our office to let us know that that were so sorry and that they wish to see us again soon! I've always loved their food but with their service so amazing! I've never seen such place give free food and do a follow up call too!!

    (4)
  • David S.

It does get better, but not by much. Chipotle is my go to for food on the go. Quality ingredients and service make it a no brainier food choice. I try to cut out calories so I opt for a salad and not a burrito. Try the chipotle Tabasco sauce. It makes the food jump out at you. It's hard to find something wrong with chipotle. It's a bit pricey but not by much.

    (5)
  • Pete E.

What happened to Chipotle? When this place first opened a few years back I totally loved going here. But I guess since they've become "hip" they've forgotten about customer service. The portions are smaller and smaller and smaller every time I go there but the price keeps going up. $11 for a small lunch for fast food and a drink? Do they think this is New York or San Francisco? Also the employees literally treat you like you're in an assembly line. No personal touch or personal service whatsoever. The only reason they get two stars is because the food is still good, just too expensive for what they give you.

    (2)
  • Mykel L.

This place is staffed with employees who have severe problems listening properly. I ask for WHITE rice and I get told, "We don't have any Brown Rice." Then I say, "That's ok, I want WHITE rice." "But we don't have any brown rice." Over and over and over it goes on like this. They consistently run out of meat. And the meat they do have ends up being cold. Trying to get these issues fixed with the store management is a waste of time. They're just as disinterested and disengaged as the employees they are charged to manage. This location is awful. Best to go to another location. Chipolte's food is good - but the service and quality is truly atrocious at this location. If I could give negative stars, I would.

    (1)
  • Illa Z.

Don't even think about ordering extra cheese here. Their "extra cheese" consists of a pinch as if it was a pinch of salt. I ordered a quesadilla and requested they add cilantro and corn salsa and they told me some BS rule that if you ask for more than one ingredient they have to charge me the price of a burrito. WHAT?!?!? I ordered salsa and an herb-cilantro!!!! I didn't order a meat in the quesadilla why would you charge me the price of a burrito?!?! I always thought maybe it was the one or two employees that are stingy with the ingredients but it's all of them.

Big carnitas burrito with everything on it is great! Very friendly and quick staff

    (4)
  • G. H.

Let me begin by saying I love Chipotle and will continue to visit. The staff seems nice, the location is convenient, and the grilled chicken is the Bomb! I just wish there was a level of consistency in portion and price point. I order the exact same burrito (chicken and sour cream) every time and I have three different charges. I have paid full burrito price, three-pointer price, and side of chicken add $1 sour cream price. I will pay whatever the price is, I just wish it was the same each time I visit. It is frustrating when the person in front of me orders the chicken burrito with rice, beans, fajita veggies, all 3 salsas, cheese and sour cream, and pays exactly what I pay. He leaves with a small baby, and I just leave with chicken. Just be consistent.

I went there yesterday for the second time since it opened, and it has not improved. It is poor, just poor. If you have ANY respect for your colon, do not, I repeat do not, frequent this establishment.

  • Ruth P.

Very good food. Lots of choices. Watch out for the rice, though, if you're watching your fat/calorie choices as they add oil to the rice, This location has always been clean and efficient. It has outdoor seating away from the main street with afternoon/evening shade. The parking lot is shared by an Albertsons and other businesses, but Chipotle is back by itself so parking is usually very easy

  • Wm M.

Note: This review reflects my experience at the restaurant on October 16, 2003 The veggie bowl is almost the perfect meal. My first bowl experience was bad, but that was because I had a meat bowl. Meat is too much, veggie is where it's at. Chris likes the lettuce on the bottom because it doesn't fall out and make a mess. I like it on top because it keeps the guacamole off the foil. As a bonus, my bag of chips had a free burrtio coupon on it. Just when I've switched to the bowl, isn't that just great.

    (4)
  • Tim B.

Very good burritos. I like the either carnitas or barbacoa with pinto beans. And you have to get the hottest salsa.. that stuff kicks ass. (But in more ways that one, unfortunately. While the spiciness is great when you're eating it, I know that I at least can have problems with it a few hours later...) This location always has good service, although it can be very busy at lunch. But if you have a Claremont Colleges ID card, you can get free drinks. :-)

    (5)
  • Mari J.

So it's not your traditional burrito, and it is way more than a person should eat in one meal, but you can't beat Chipotle for an inexpensive meal when you are starving. I haven't been to many other Chipotle's, so maybe they're all like this, but they are very efficient here and even if there is a long line you won't be there for more than 5-10 minutes. My favorite is the veggie burrito-black beans, rice, corn and tomato salsa, guacamole and lettuce. Good place to go if you just went on a hike or ran like 10 miles because it definitely isn't the healthiest at 1000+ cal for a burrito, but you don't have to eat it all in one sitting.

    (4)
  • Justin D.

Don't ask me if I want double meat (to be charged extra) if what you put the first time wasn't even close to being considered a single meat order. Chipotle has become nothing but over priced food with a stingy side of serving. Obviously if I have to ask for more meat then you are just not serving what it should be. The portions use to be larger with no question about adding anything more. But the fact that I need to ask for more rice and meat is ridiculous. If I never get beans why not substitute it for more rice? At a real Mexican restaurant if I don't get beans then they substitute it for rice without having to ask. I'll give other Chipotles another try, but this location is on thin ice.

    (2)
  • Derek L.

Chicken burrito's are amazing. Clean, Healthy, and affordable.

    (5)
  • Richard A.

Employees are friendly, but the portions are getting smaller and smaller every time I visit. Shrinking burrito's are not cool folks. Please train your employees to not be scared of the serving spoon! The Montclair location 5 minutes away is way better.

    (2)
  • Loui H.

I love Chipotle because it never really seems to fail. You go to Chipotle knowing that you'll have a great experience. This Chipotle on the other hand, has disappointed me for the third time. The serving size was minimal and disappointing.

    (2)
  • Phi W.

I request extra rice and extra chicken but they ignore me and push me forward. 2 star for not charge me extra.

    (2)
  • Lauren A.

Eh - I don't really understand what all the hype is about this place. You construct your own tacos, burritos, and bowls. It's not exactly worthy of the 5 star mark in my book. If you follow to a healthy diet (low carb or low calorie) and need a place to eat on-the-go, I recommend Chipotle. The bowls are pretty good.

wow.. so I stopped in tonight for my usual Sofritas bowl.. got my food and drove 4 miles home. From the moment i took my first bite, the sofritas immedietly burnt my mouth. I take prescription for high acid reflex which is why i said no hot sauce when they asked but clearly the sofritas was SOAKED in Hot sauce. I always get the sofritas and have never had this problem before. ever. I called the store regarding my bowl and the lady on the phone said I could come get a different bowl so I hopped in my car and made the drive again. I figure I just payed $12 for my dinner I at least want to enjoy it. I returned and got the chicken bowl, when I ordered I told the worker I has just called about my sofritas bowl return and immedietly she seemed irritated with me. I got to the register and the Cashier knew who I was, as I had just seen her. Though when I tried explaining how hot the sofritas were she seemed to dismiss me. Ill def make the extra drive to the Chipotle down the road. The customer service here was terrible, both times I had to come today. I ended up just throwing my chicken bowl away as well, it was also added with extra spice. Not everyone likes that in there food, especially people with stomach problems. I def will not be back to this particular location.

Being that this is a franchise, I'm rating this place based on service. So I stopped by here for lunch this past Wednesday and I got my usual, chicken burrito bowl with the works. But what I appreciate the most is that the girl that was handling my order listened to my request for lots of lettuce. Other Chipotle restaurants tend to ignore my request but this one and the one on Foothill in Rancho always listen to the customers. I told the girl that she's awesome and I hope that made her day. I hate it when the workers skimp on the meat or the lettuce for my order but I couldn't be happier with the amount of food I got from here. I definitely got what I paid for at this Upland location and would definitely come back when I'm in the area.

Always fresh. The line gets long but as long but its usually pretty quick to get in and out. Wish they'd open earlier 11am is to late. Just 1 hour earlier I beg you. Hours is my only complaint, but that's the hours of every chipotle in in the socal area as far as I know. Now the have the societal. Seasoned tofu yummy

My order every time: Chicken Burrito Bowl -Extra rice no beans -tortilla on the side (I like to wrap my own burrito :P) -fresh tomatoes -roasted chili corn -green salsa -sour cream -cheese -a little bit of lettuce -(sometimes I'll get guac when I am in the mood :])

I've been to a lot of Chipotles over the years. The food is delicious, consistent, and fairly healthy given that it's a fast food chain. And their ethics for sourcing clean and humanely raised meats are FAR, FAR ahead of any other fast food chain. This particular Chipotle deserves additional props because the staff is just so darn friendly. I got a burrito bowl today and was once again amazed at the friendliness and helpful nature of the staff. Props where they are due!

Nothing upsets me more than going to Chipotle and getting small portions. Wait, no; NOTHING UPSETS ME EVEN MORE THAN GOING TO CHIPOTLE AND GETTING DIRTY LOOKS FOR ASKING FOR MORE RICE OR MORE CHEESE. Wow. I was looking forward to this meal, as I love Chipotle, and immediately I got a small portion of rice, so I asked for extra and the lady didn't even acknowledge it and just moved onto the beans. Everything was okay until I got to the cheese and the man literally sprinkled some on, so I asked for more, and he sprinkled some more... After like 5 times of me asking for more, which totaled less than a usual Chipotle serving, I was given a dirty look so I moved on. Oh and the guac? Half of the clear container! ARE YOU KIDDING ME? So angry. I won't be back to this location.

Compared to the other locations I've been to, this one is by far the busiest and also most delicious. This place is arguably number one on most Upland-er's list of places to go during lunch. I'm guaranteed to meet someone here every time. The staff is very friendly and they are generous when asked for extra ingredients(eg. quadruple rice for me). Their bowls/burritos seem to always trump those of other Chipotles for some unexplainable reason. Beware, during lunch and dinner time, the line is always by the entrance, but definitely worth the wait. I would always take the 5 minute drive, wait the 7 minutes, spend the 60 minutes worth of work, to experience the 17 minutes of edible pleasure. Please come here, especially if you live nearby. P.S. - They always have dope music playing, at all locations actually. Most notably, Radiohead, which is my favorite band. A Radiohead song(s) has played at Chipotle for the last 4 times I've been there. 3 songs the other night! Just thought I'd share :)

Let me start off by saying that I in general love chipotle. This location is not my favorite though. Generally they have a very long line compared to other Chipotles that I've been at. The last time I went the line wasn't extraordinary, but they ran out of multiple menu items. So once I got to the front I had to awkwardly stand there while they began to make more vegetables which they had run out of. After waiting there for more than five minutes the staff member snapped at me that they were ready and didn't so much as apologize for the wait. It honestly wasn't that big a deal but she was pretty rude about it which confused me. Other than that though this place is fine. I'd probably give them 2 starts but I just really like Chipotle so they can have an extra one :)

We got food poisoning (H. Pylori infection) at this location. It took us 2 months to recover after medical treatment.

I ordered 1 carnitas and 1 barbacoa. Lots of rice, lots of beans, little bit of meat. $1.70 extra for guacamole stuff. They were o.k. I guess. Nothing to write home about. The people were really friendly and the place was really clean.

This place could have 4 stars, if it was for food, only - but they lose a star for their manager working and slowing everything down (just stay in the back please!) and they lose a star for their uncomfortable seating. I thought about taking another star away, for the online-ordering, because they always mess it up, but one star just doesn't seem fair for a place I go at least once a month.

I've been going for years and so far it's all been good: good food, good staff, clean, etc. The cons? They *used* to give free drinks with student ID...no such perk anymore...that and sometimes the line is out the door. But what can you do when your food is so damn tasty?

I actually just created a Yelp for the first time in my life, because the service was so piss poor it needed to be addressed. Not 2 hours ago, I went to Chipotle with my husband to get a single burrito. We generally love Chipotle for the efficiency and delicious food. But this was neither efficient nor delicious and it certainly was no walk in the park experience either. The burrito maker, a young black woman with quite a mouth on her, was exceptionally rude to my husband as he ordered our meal. When he asked for a carnitas burrito with mild sauce, she proceeded to douse the burrito with hot sauce and when he politely asked her if that was mild sauce she was pouring she snorted back "I thought you wanted hot sauce so I gave you hot sauce...you don't want hot sauce?!" Then she took the mis-made burrito, aggressively chucked it into the trash can and proceeded to remake our burrito with aggressive force. This would be fine and dandy had she not then proceeded to again make this burrito wrong...this time giving us the wrong meat! Once corrected, she again chucked the burrito and rolled her eyes while giving us more attitude about the fact that she within a matter of 60 seconds forgot that she originally was always making a carnitas burrito, but she somehow forgot between throwing away the mistake burrito and starting the new one. Of course she didn't suggest this was her mistake but proceeded to act in patronizing ways. So now she is making us her third version of the same burrito. Well, eventually she managed to make the burrito; it was the laziest burrito I've ever seen made by the most aggressive server possibly ever. In addition to her awful attitude, it was incredibly uncomfortable watching how other employees interacted (or well didn't) with her. Other employees seemed afraid of her and I can see why. I tried to even justify her attitude with a "maybe she has had a bad day" or "maybe she's been super busy working on multiple projects by herself" or even "maybe she is new and this is her first job"...but all those "maybe's" still don't justify her treatment of customers and her impact she has on the entire team at Chipotle. But really?! I mean talk about shit customer service. I have never experienced such service and I'm even more upset after having eaten my burrito once I got home. I knew she half-hazardly threw the burrito together so it was falling apart but what I didn't realize is that she could somehow pour her hate and ugliness into my burrito! Imagine my surprise when I find a burrito that is 80% rice, 5% guacamole, 7% carnitas, 5% beans and 3% condiments. It was the most unappetizing burrito ever and I'm completely disappointed now not only in the service at Chipotle but the quality. Heck, your efficiencies sucks as well considering if you have employees who have to make 3 different versions and throw away 2 versions of the same order...you are losing money! Needless to say, we will not be returning to this Chipotle, but will continue to support locations that better fit the Chipotle brand. Chipotle management needs to work on their leadership at this branch since clearly the customer service issues within your workforce are not being addressed.

The reasons why I 5 star is because of the service! These cool kids are always so down to earth, always smiling and they have small talks with you ones in a while... Wether it's a comment about your shirt or accessory your wearing! It's always good to return that energy! Let them enjoy work! :)

This place (in Upland) has really gone down in the past month. From frequent FYI's about "not having organic chicken b/c our supplier ran out" to very inconsistent taste in their food, this is place isn't what it used to be. While I LOVE Chipotle's food, every Thursday I come there at night, the chicken is either too salty, the chips aren't as fresh, and the employees seem to get more and more unde-qualified. Each time it seems they dish out less and less chicken and I constantly find myself asking for more. When asked "do you want extra chicken?" I reply, "No just the amount you usually give." Their guacamole also changes like the weather. Some days it will have jalepenos in it, and other days it will be just plain. The tables (dinnertime) are mostly a mess and have litter around them. My most recent experience last night: The infamous "FYI" sign was posted again...no organic chicken (they get to make more profit selling non-organic chicken). And our male server apparently needed to get rid of his tray of chicken. So he asks us if we'd like extra chicken (my family and I). His tone was so convincing and exciting that it suggested as though they were giving us *complimentary* extra chicken. So one of us got it, and were told at check out that it costs extra. Now, we know double meat (and guac) costs extra, but whenever you add that choice on request, the server ALWAYS informs you that it costs extra. They never SUGGEST a customer get double meet and not inform them that it costs extra. So we were deceived, later compensated for complaining, and are never going back to the Chipotle in Upland ever again. Their variable food quality, portion distribution, employee honesty, and cleanliness of the facility is enough to make you think about changing your eating place to the new chipotles in Montclair or La Verne. Very disappointed.

I love chipotle for many reasons. The most important ones are great food, great portions and great service. This place doesn't meet those standards in the portions and service department. They give a lot less than normal and when you ask for just a little more, they give you a look and tell u its a standard portion and if you want more its extra cost. If you want guacamole, forget it! That extra cost isn't worth it because they give you less than a full spoon and are super stingy!!! I noticed they have this new manager and ever since she has been there, portions and service are not up to par. This was never my complaint before. I have been meaning to write this review for a long time but I feel everyone deserves second chances. Unfortunately, I was disappointed once again. This is the closest location to my house and I'm sorry to say but after going there for the past two times with consistent unsatisfaction...I will no longer be returning. I am going to the rancho cucamonga location instead because they go above and beyond and I have no complaints there. If you don't care for my business, I am happy to take it elsewhere.

UUUUGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHH This place usually runs so smooth. I stop by once a week at lunch time for a veggie burrito and I stock up on my 5 plastic spoons for my cereal that I consume at every red light on my way to work . I feel kinda bad about the 5 spoons I take every week after week after week , so I am confessing here on yelp. I feel better. Thank you! If you show up and 20 people are in front of you don't worry it will go by fast. The crew always moves fast..... until the new worker showed up. Last week she scolded me because I ordered a black bean and rice burrito. She pointed at the menu and told me "that is called a vegetarian" not a black bean and rice. I thought she was joking. She was not. Today she holds up the line because they ran out of chicken. There was about 10 people in line. It would normally take maybe 5 minutes to get out of there with the regular crew. She just waited for the chicken to be cooked. Why did she not have that customer stand to the side and wait while she helped other customers like maybe me. But she waited and talked. It seemed like an eternity but it was finally my turn. I ordered the vegetarian burrito and then it came to what hot sauce I wanted. I pointed at the one I wanted and she tells me that is the medium hot sauce . I pointed again. I want that one. She tells me again MEDIUM. I point again. She says MEDIUM. that one, MEDIUM.. This went on for about a minute. She was going to get her way and force me to say medium but this was a battle I refused to lose. I WANT THAT ONE I yelled. I finally got my burrito and left feeling victorious. Why people feel they have to scold their customers I will never know. I wish I had enough guts to complain to a manager but I don't want to get anybody in trouble. I took 10 spoons this time and I don't feel guilty.

Not too bad for Mexican fast food. The taco I had was kinda dry. You can find better Mexican elsewhere.

A restaurant with a social conscience. How could you not love that. The food and service are fabulous. If the line is out the door, ndont be discouraged, you move through the conveyor belt of ordering in no time, plus it is totally worth the wait.

A 20 minute wait in line at 8pm on a Friday night is unacceptable. Especially since the same length of line at the Northridge or Beverly Center location would merit less than half the wait time. I suppose that's what happens when employees chat. Instead of working the line.

Line get really long at lunch pretty much past the door. Foods ok for take out and I think they have a great idea how they serve you food like a subway but if your looking for real mexican food theres other places. I drop in here for lunch from time to time but like I said the line always being long stops me a lot. I will say I've gotten free food from them numerous times for puting my card in the dish. Thats pretty nice.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
