Food is great. Customer service is good. Margarita was strong :). Place is average +. Last time I was here it was on Sunday and they had mariachi. So atmosphere was lively. Today it's a Thursday at 3 so pretty slow. But food was great both times. Albondinga soup was very tasty. I would still recommend this place if your in temecula in the mood for Mexican.

This place is amazing! I have been here around 6 times and everytime ive came I have been satisfied. The chicken fajitas are awesome, and for the price you get a lot of fajitas. Normally I take about half of it home. Chicken enchiladas are equally amazing. Chips and salsa=great and they refill it as soon as you need more. Drinks are refilled as soon as you need it. Costumer service is definitely good. Definitely my favorite sit down mexican restaurant in the area, I will be back many more times in the future!!

Great service, your chips and salsa are never empty ;) LOTS of food for your money. Great margaritas! Does not taste like Mexican fast food, its a little higher up on the spectrum. Boy do i love my hole in the wall taco shops, but this place is really good for a Mexican Grill!!

I dont EVER do reviews. Very dissapointed. Salsa from a can, pace? Only one kind? Way to much ketchup in shrimp coctail! Chili verde burrito was 75% beans.... I read the previous yelp reviews and I find myself wondering "what happened"? I didnt even feel any 'love' in my margarita or in my husbands chilada.... no bueno. Sorry, I actually feel bad writing a bad review about anyones buisness. =( The only good thing I have to say was our waiter was on point, gave good service.

Being any Arizona native and growing up on authentic Mexican food, this place was ok. Server was friendly but wait was really long, margaritas were from a mix and food was just good. Nothing really stood out as being exceptional or unique. Reminded me of Mexican food served at some chain restaurants back home.

Great Mexican food. Atmosphere and service excellant. Always eat there when visiting family.

Comfort mexican food at its best. They offer HUGE portions and the food is tasty. The servers are incredibly friendly and they had a live mariachi band during our visit. Unfortunately for me, the mariachi band exacerbated my migraine but they were lovely all the same. Our table ordered 1 entree each and with all of the sides that it came with, our table was brimming to the edges. This place is all about decent+quantity and there won't be anything on the menu outside of the standard fare.

It's pretty rare to stay in a town simply because it has a good Mexican restaurant, but Temecula has become a go to place for us in Southern California because of the food and service at this restaurant. I think we've tried just about everything on their menu and rarely been disappointed. The wait staff is fast and courteous, the bar selection is outstanding, and though it can get pretty crowded, the wait is never too long. Coming from the east coast along I-10 and I-8, we have favorite stops in Texas, New Mexico, and Arizona, but continue to hold Temecula's Guadalajara as one of our top three places to eat (Tex-Mex).

Service is really good and it's a chill environment. Seems like they have a couple of loyal locals. Only down side, I've had better Mexican food. I also wish they had more seafood options on the menu.

  • Andre A.

The bean and cheese burrito was pretty good. I've had better enchilada sauce at other restaurants. The chips and salsa were good and they were able to make a spicier version with Serano peppers. The crispy beef taco is good.

Best margaritas and Fajitas in Southern California.

Guadalajara's is simply a Temecula gem and landmark. It has been around forever, and they know what they are doing. If you're looking for fancy, go elsewhere. But if you like good food, strong drinks, and a great atmosphere, check it out. Mariachi nights are great, if you check in on yelp they give you a free appetizer! Service can sometimes be a bit simple, but the restaurant itself is just awesome.

Had a great experience! They accommodated my party of 22 people for my birthday, they allowed me to bring in my own cake with no problems. The waiter did an amazing job, which is hard with such a large party; splitting checks, drinks, getting the food right. We had someone coming by constantly filling water and bringing more chips. While they were only a duo mariachi, they did a great job. I was so happy with the service and the food. I will be coming back!

(FYI: I am writing this review from the bottom of my heart, based 100% on MY opinion) Okay, where do I even begin with this place... Well, my boyfriend kept convincing me to go to this restaraunt because it is owned by his family. I was in no way, shape, or form in a hurry to come here because it was just kind of like a "when the time comes we will go" thing. Finally, one day we took the trip over there (we live in Orange County) When we pulled up at first, I thought it was going to be an "Americanized" Mexican restaraunt, which I am all about AUTHENTIC Mexican food. When we got there it was super packed, but they get everyone in super quickly, but very friendly service. We sit down, and get our chips and salsa, which is the perfect spice and the chips are made to perfection. Then, next on to our drinks MARGARITAS are to DIE FOR! so amazing! 1-2 do it for me, they don't taste strong, but they do sneak up on you. Next, for entree, I ordered just the simple cheese enchilada with a side of rice & beans. The enchilada sauce is SO YUMMY! and the beans & rice...OMG...so good. Now, time for desert...FRIED ICE CREAM!...so scrumptious! I haven't tried everything on the menu (yet) but it is definitely worth going to over and over again for it. Friday, Saturday, & Sunday they have their mariachi band that comes in & plays pretty much any song you request. Our next trips there we had the menudo & bloody Mary's on Saturday...which together are the perfect cure for your hangover, or on a rainy day to warm your bones. Sundays they have their Sunday champagne brunch with their specials. I recommend this place to everyone! They will have something that you will love. Whether you live in the temecula area, or in Orange County like me, it's worth the trip! All in all, good drinks, food, vibe, & very family friendly. I hope this review is helpful & ENJOY! (:

Enjoy eating at this restaurant. Service is fast and the food is awesome. I bring my grandson here quite often and they are so family friendly. Awesome margaritas!

When I first ordered I made it fairly clear that I did not want onions on my order. However when I relieved the food it indeed had onions. Waiter was very quick to correct this. The food was great and prices were very reasonable.

This is my favorite Mexican food in Temecula. It's consistently good every time. Beans and enchiladas taste just like I remember as a kid.

*3.5 Stars This place was packed on a Friday night. Standing room only at the bar as well, ordered the premium margarita which I prefer over the house margarita. We were seated in the back room section, server was friendly and accommodating. They have live music on Fri & Sat night between 6pm-8ish. I had the mexican pizza and my co-party had the menudo, both were well prepared and delicious. Overall a nice family owned mexican restaurant come early and avoid the crowd.

Good food but I really wish they would seat families with small children in one section and adults in the other. Never fails - every time we go there I have to listen to crying children. Every single time!

I had to give a 5 star review for a bunch of reasons, but first and foremost the service was very pleasant, the chips are so fresh and the salsa is perfect. I decided to go for the fajitas, which I hope i hadnt eaten so much chips and salsa but I swear I couldnt help it, and when my plate arrived, thumbs up. The fajitas were a combination of taste and great looking food, a clash of color with sour cream, pico de gallo, guacamole, onion, portobello mushroom, etc! Yeah I got the vegetarian ones as I am a vegetarian, and was very pleased and super full! I will go back to this place when I am back up the area, and definetely recommend it!

So I decided to venture off to T-Ville for some Mexican. Nino R. and I met here per his suggestion - I was happy to oblige. I haven't been in the area for years, so it was nice to venture off to a different area. Although fairly easy to get to, I did get lost. The restaurant's sign was small and in a semi-business area. Parking was plentiful, and wasn't busy at the time. The restaurant itself was spacious with booths and tables. Our server was nice and informative. I asked various questions about recommendations and specialties. The chips and salsa were delicious. The chips were greasy and oily - BAD BAD BAD for the diet. Yes, they were fresh and good, but stay away as they could get super addicting! I ordered the chicken crispy taco and chicken enchilada ($10.50) with all rice: The chicken taco was good. I like the taco shell, but I didn't find much chicken in it. Lots of filling. The chicken enchilada was also good. The chunks of chicken were tender and looked and tasted like dark meat, which I prefer. Unfortunately, our server didn't hear my "all rice" comment and I got rice and beans. The rice was a bit salty for my palate. I did see chunks of carrots, which I do not like, but easy enough to remove to the side. In my opinion, Spanish rice should be plain without veggies mixed in. Nino ordered the crab omelet ($9): I did try a piece, and found it tasty even though I got an end piece. It is hard to judge an omelet from the end piece since you get the crispy fried part of the egg and 1 piece of crab meat. (Thanks a lot, Nino! j/k) With that said, I'll defer to his review. Overall, I'd give this place a 3.5. As we got to chatting, the server indicated that his shift was ending and requested the bill. Hmmm... Although I was understanding about the situation, I was somewhat bothered. My dish was a bit on the pricey side vs going to a hole in the wall or a Mexican restaurant in my area.

Food tastes very good, good portion size, decent prices. This is so far the only Mexican place we have found in the Murrieta/Temecula area that tastes good and doesn't cost an arm and a leg since we moved here few months ago. We have been to several different ones and none of them have been good except for this place. The worst Mexican place we have been to in the area was Tukan Mexican Grill. This place is far better than that one and others.

  • Heather W.

I had the chicken flautas...amazing! They were delicious! My boyfriend had the chile verde pork burrito...apparently it was good, he didn't even offer a taste, like he usually does! The salsa and chips was delicious and theur guac is FANTASTIC!!! Yummy! Full belly! Delish! Oh! And their drinks ate poured STRONG! 2 non-domestic beers and a practically double grey goose only $16!!! He'll yeah!

Me and co-workers came here about 6 months ago for our lunch break. My first impressions: The restaurant was actually a lot nicer on the inside then I expected. The service seemed mediocre at best and kind of rude; but I went ahead and ordered an enchilada meal that came with rice, beans, and a coke. At first I thought "hey, this is pretty good!" until about half way through when I found multiple long black pubic looking hairs in my food! Okay in all fairness, it was was probably from a beard (Not to mention everyone at the table had short, blond, or brown hair) Lets just say I was amazed and so were my co-workers. After telling the waitress, she insisted it was the corn hairs from the tortillas until I physically picked it up and asked her, "when did corn become black?" she had the look of "oh that's not good" on her face. She took it and asked if I wanted them to remake it, which at the time, I felt super sick to my stomach as if I had a fur ball inside. I asked politely for my money back, which she gave me. I went left lunch hungry that day and it became the running joke for months at my work. I'm probably being nice giving a 2 stars instead of a 1 but I understand things happen. Even without the "hair in the food situation" it was still slow and terrible services. She even gave us our check with the meal as if we were bothering her. I would HIGHLY recommend you go somewhere else for Mexican food!

Margie was ok. Strawberry lemonade was good. Cheese crisp- cheese inside was cold, like fresh out of the bag. Couldn't eat it. At least they agreed with us and took it off the bill. The 2 dollar taco specials were bland, ground beef needed to be seasoned. Sorry, will never be back, but at least we tried.

Nothing over the top amazing but if you are looking to relax and enjoy some solid Mexican food is is a great place to go. Be careful of the parking lot if you have a nice car because the spots are very tight!

Guadalajara's restaurant in Temecula is terrible, they don't give enough meat in their tacos, the seafood Enchilada's are lacking the seafood and when they give you beans and rice on the plate, the beans look like diarrhea and they give you a small amount of food...If you want Good Mexican food go to Don Jose's in Lake Elsinore, delish!

  • Crystal R.

Terrible customer service by the ownership. Had a server bill us our ticket and another tables. It was voided but held $54 out of our account for a week. We asked for assistance and we were told that if we were unhappy with their service that they didn't need customers like us. THAT WAS THE OWNER that told us that and hung up on us twice. Sad, because they used to be a favorite. I'm in the market for a new Mexican food restaurant in Temecula now.

This place is great! Always consistent, fantastic happy hour..and (for those that know me)..an f'in good margarita! Great lunch specials, etc. One of our favorite places to go.

We have enjoyed the food here for years but the last two visits we have been unhappy with the food coming out of the kitchen on the tepid side. The service is prompt but one gets the feeling that some of the food has been sitting in the kitchen and not heated entirely.

  • Dagmara A.

The best Mexican food in this area. We always go when it's busy so the only drawback is the waitress/waiter is always in a rush. But the food is so good I don't make a big deal. The El Charro plate (carne asada, chile relleno, and cheese enchilada w/ rice and beans) is awesome! Very large plate. The albondigas soup is awesome as well. I haven't tried anything else here but I am sure it is all wonderful!

  • Amanda R.

If you have read any of my reviews you have probably realized that I love me some Mexican food.......Guadalajara is my grandfathers choice for his annual birthday dinner and sometimes my mothers as well. I always order the combo fajitas with shrimp and steak and it is a ton of food. The prices are reasonable and even better if the family is paying for a special occasion. Service depends on the server for the most part, but no real big complaints. The margies are delicious, but I would limit to one or two if you are dining with your family, you might just tell you know who what you really think!

  • Reggy H.

This place if fine. Food is good. Service is good. Chips and salsa, good. But that is all. Nothing was spectacular, nothing was horrible. I would come back here, but it isn't a place I need to visit weekly, or will crave. But the food is good enough and so is the service. So, I'm sure I will be back after I try more restaurants in the area. Also we avoided the entertainment, so I was pretty happy about that.

Always busy, busy! Often hard to find a parking spot. Margaritas are good and STRONG. Be careful and don't drive if you have more than one. I've been coming here for years.

Chips and salsa were excellent! Food was good too. Service was excellent! Fast and friendly, they were attentive enough to make us say, "We'll be back!"

Have been going for years but have to say, this last time was the best ever. They have cleaned up the interior so it feels much cheerier and cleaner. Wonderful wait staff, seated immediately and fresh homemade chips and salsa on the spot. Could not get enough of the chips, they were still hot and so light and good. Had Colorado burrito and it was filled with hunks of good roast beef and refried beans and cheese. A side of Spanish rice and sour cream came with it. This is what Mexican food should be. Two of us ate till we were stuffed and loved every bite for a total bill of $18. That is a bargain! This is the best Mexican food in Temecula.

Good "American Mexican" food. Not too spicy, but not bland either. Chips were warm and good. Service was fine, not outstanding, but not terrible either. Will go back.

We just moved to Temecula and I had heard Guadalajara had great margaritas. After a long day with the kids, we headed over and were pleased to find a good mix of people. It's a fun place (read: you couldn't hear my 3 little ones over the constant, yet happy, din in the restaurant) with potent margaritas (just what the dr. ordered!). The food was good too...loved the salsa although could have had a little more kick to it for the adults. We will definitely be back!

Great food, reasonable price, and good margaritas. We bring our family here on a regular basis.

Not good. This is actually the first restaurant where I almost choked. I got their shrimp fajitas and the geniuses keep the shells on the shrimp. I swallowed instead of spitting it out and a piece got caught. Hacking and gaging I finally got it dislodged, but scary for me and everyone around me. Food was subpar, nothing special and the interior looks like a Coco's from the 80's. Pass...

  • Julia L.

This restaurant has very friendly service, and the margaritas are strong. The food, however, leaves much to be desired. I've tried a variety of menu items, and I'm struck by how tasteless everything is, from the sauces to the seasonings on the meat, etc. They seem to stay pretty busy, so maybe it's just me, but I've never had anything here that I rate above a 6 on a scale of 1 to 10.

    (3)

Great food at a great price.

  • Adam R.

They make their own chips which is a definite plus in my book. I went their right after a month solid of raining and the whole restaurant smelled like sewage. Had the caldo de camaron and I was very disappointed to find that the shrimps weren't deveined and still had their tails. I had to pick them out of my very hot soup with my fingers which was quite unenjoyable. Food was decent. Salsa was decent. Service was decent. Bloody mary wasn't very good.

  • Skuyler J.

I don't usually like sit down mexican joints because most times the taco shop variety outdoes them for food quality. i went here on a sunday around 4-5pm and it was busy but well staffed. My bean/cheese burrito surprised me because it was actually pretty good and not too bad of a price for eating in ($5-6 before tip). The happy hour $3 house margaritas were good and strong. The server was friendly and quick. Will probably be going back

  • Renee M.

Food is delicious but the service is HORRIBLE!!!! Went to eat there for a second time thinking maybe it was just bad luck getting an inattentive waitress the first time... Well im thinking maybe the restaurant just hires people that just don't care about business :(. We will never go there again. AWFUL... GO TO RODRIGOS

  • Mary C.

I will start by saying that the food is actually decent (as far as "Temeculan Mexican" food goes). The chips and salsa were yummy and I had a cheese enchilada combo plate that was tasty. It's the way the place is run that I have a problem with. Gads, they are way understaffed. The poor bartender, who is supposed to be serving drinks behind the counter, was in charge of all the drinks for the entire restaurant AND waiting on all the tables in the bar area where we sat. He was trying his very best, but that is a two person job. It took forever to get helped, the appetizer came out after the main course and I left feeling super irritated. Ugh.

  • Andy K.

I'm going to have to say that this is the best sit down Mexican food place in the area. It has that old school feel without the constant up-sell and fake accents you find at El Torito. They have a huge menu full of all kinds of "mexican fare" from breakfast to dinner and a full bar. The margaritas are strong and I've always been happy with the service and cleanliness. Oh and the machaca eggs for breakfast is the bomb!

    (5)
  • Ron B.

Yes, the happy hour $3 margaritas are good and strong. The food is okay. The salsa is UNFORTUNATELY forgetable. Not much atmosphere. I will return on a Tuesday for ground beef crispy tacos, since that's the only day they are offered.

  • Katie J.

I am surprised this restaurant doesn't have a review yet! This restaurant is AMAZING. I've been going here for years and it's still the same as the first time I went. The staff are such great people, kind, generous, quick and so lovely. The food of course, is to die for. I hear the margarita's are good and strong, but I've never had 'em. I'm not a margarita girl, I like my Pacifico thank you very much :) I always say, if the place has good chips and salsa.. your food is sure to be good. The chips and salsa are addictive, the chips come out warm and the salsa is perfect. I always get the California Local favorite.. cheese enchilada and shredded beef taco with beans and rice. This is the best mexican joint in the area, if not the world!

  • Kyle S.

Free chips & salsa, great guacamole, very strong margaritas and that's where the positives end. The food is bland, so bland that you need half a bottle of Tapatio to kick it up to where it has some flavor. Sometimes the place is a frickin zoo, with kids yelling & running around, the shitty mariachi band wailing away it can send you running. The service can be very slow or you may notice others seated after you eating their meal. We have very little interest in ever going back.

Esmeralda, Jessie and Ricardo are excellent wait staff. There is one female wait staff her name starts with a "M" she has a bad attitude towards customers. The past 3 visits I have had her, the first time it was around 3pm after the lunch crowd, and I sat at a table in the back where I got a birds eye view where the servers hide by the kitchen and gossip. "M" saw me and acted as if I were invisible. I waited and waited and only got service when their many personal conversations were over. The second time I was there I sat at the bar, (hoping to get better service) and I lucked out because I had Esmeralda but I noticed "M" constantly in the bar gossiping with Esmeralda. "M" was behind the bar for 20 minutes just talking. Esmeralda was very busy and "M" did not care. I could tell by Esmeralda body language, she was feeling FRUSTRATED just I was the day I got IGNORED! The third time I got "M" I came in around 4pm. Again we waited and waited for 15 minutes and no server. I finally asked the person who delivers the chips to our table if we could have a server and again we had to wait another 5 minutes. It was 4 pm and the place was not that busy as you well know and finally I had to get my own drinks after waiting 20 minutes. When "M" finally showed up she did not say she was sorry. I wanted to leave...how RUDE.. and next time I will. Someone needs to teach the princess "M" that she needs to be more customer service friendly. If I ever come back I will sit at the bar because that is where you will get excellent service. If someone waits on you with the first name starting with a "M" RUN!!!! Why doesn't the owner do something?

We have been going here since we moved to Temecula 7 years ago and love it every time. It is my husband's favorite! The food is always good, fast service and wonderful wait staff. Haven't been there for happy hour but have heard its great. Their drinks are very reasonably priced and poured well. By far the best mex food in town!

We have always enjoyed the food at Guadalajara and today we tried the Sunday Brunch for the first time. Food was great and loved the champagne that came with the brunch. One problem: We had a coupon which we cut out of their full page ad. They did not want to honor their own coupon even though they knew it was their ad for their restuarant because the coupon did not include their phone number. The full page ad said it was good at either the Temecula or Lake Elsinore restaurant. The waitress reluctantly got the manager for us who stated she knew it was their ad but wanted us to cut their phone number out too. We said they should include whatever they wanted within the dotted lines of the coupon section of the full page ad so she very reluctantly honored her coupon. Very poor business, disappointing service and management conduct for a place with good food. I hope they get the service level up to higher standards.

I am basing this rating on my previous visits along with my last visit which was bad to say the least. Its an average. Usually I'm satisfied with Guads. The drinks are strong and the chips and salsa are good, I'm not hard to please. The food is quick and the service is usually on point. This last trip though, something was off. The chips were stale. Stale stale stale. We were charged for 2 margaritas even though only 1 came out about a half hour after we ordered it. Then the waitress tried to argue about how many margs there were. My dad got the flautas and the first time they came out burned to a crisp. Chocolate brown burned. So he sent them back and they came back soggy. Our plates remained on our table until we left. We found the manager and called him over and explained our situation and also mentioned that our neighbor's chile rellano was rotten and all he had to say was a simple "Sorry" before he walked away with our check. We were very upset until he returned with the saving grace of the evening- a $20 gift certificate. Not what we were even looking for or expecting but knowing that he wanted us to come back with the tab on him was a very nice gesture that almost made up for the poor quality of food that night. Hope next time is better, otherwise we'll stick to the taco shop down the street.

I love this place! We go all the time. I've had their seafood dishes, albondigas soup, combination plates, etc. Last time, we shared the Fajitas for Two and had plenty of leftovers. It's so fresh and delicious. Their Sunday Happy Hour is extra terrific.

After reading the reviews I decided to go and try Guadaljara grill it sounded promising. I was dissapointed i went during the happy hour and tried a mojito and one of the two dollar tacos , the mojito was the cheapest ive ever tried they harly put any mint leaves and had no flavor, the taco was awful it seems like the cook just gathered all the left over meats from other nights and add potatoes or vegetable protein to produce more quantity for the dollar i took one bite and didnt want the rest it was an insult the tacos are better at rosas totilla factory although there not very authentic.I f you want real authentic and home cooked mexican food made with the highest ingreidients its definately "Baja Cactus" by far they dont have a full bar and their margaritas are not that great but the food is to die for. And if you want a nice mexican restaurant to have a good strong and tasty margarita try "La cocina" . Guadaljara grills decor is so outdated i was embaressed with my invited guests as we walked in . Never ever will i eat their again .

This place is so overly hyped up. I've been several times usually not by my choice. I get it...its a staple in Temecula. Its been here for a very long time, its familly owned, and Temeculans that have been here from the start love it. The food is just ok. Ive tried a few different things and nothing has impressed me yet. They have a decent happy hour and taco Tuesday where I enjoy the price of the margaritas. However, its usually always slammed packed during these times. I mean to point you cant even find a parking spot in their private lot. Im sorry Temecula. I've tried to love this place but I prefer to go to other Mexican restaurants in town instead. I just dont get the hype of Guadalajaras.

Great food and excellent service from our waitress, Esmeralda. I had a enchilada, chicken taco, rice and beans. The chicken was juicy and flavorful. My daughter had an enchilada, beans and rice. She cleaned her plate! I recommend this restaurant to anyone who likes Mexican food.

Wow!! Came in on a Friday night - super busy. Excellent service, nonetheless!! We have two small kiddos and getting "in and out" is a top priority. Our server, Maria E., was awesome!! She literally got my wife her first margarita within 30 secs of being seated Chicken molé enchiladas were two thumbs up Margaritas were amazing as well. We had a "skinny" on the rocks and a Cadillac two. Strong. Only one needed for us lightweights. And, to add to the atmosphere, a live mariachi band was making their rounds around the restaurant. Five star restaurant all the way!!!!!

Reason for visit: Dad wanted to come out for his bday here so got the family together and made it happen. Feeling to Venue: The place has a very authentic vibe to it for real Mexican food. Service: Host at the front was very nice and so are the servers. Parking: Plenty of parking. Prices: Regular prices. Food Portions: On the Larger side. Taste: The fagita plate was delicious and came with a large piece of steak, chicken, and 2 giant shrimp. As for everyone else in the group they had no complaints. Overall good food, good service, avg pricing, and would recommend the restaurant.

We are regulars here, by far our favorite family restaurant. We love the amazing service and the delicious food! Adriana is the best waitress ever, always wonderful service and a smile on her face!

Valerie and I love Mexican food and while we have been here many times before, this is our first Check In. If you prefer soft tacos, they will make them even if not on the menu. Deep fried ice cream is their answer for a dessert and it is great. On Friday and Saturday nights, Guadalajara has a group of Mariachi and they play all your favorites and your requests. We will recommend this restaurant highly.

So the place didn't look that great but I had to just try it once. So we walked in and got seated right away. They nice young lady took our order and WOW, chips and salsa came out fast along with our drinks. I ordered my normal dish if you know me. Carna asada burrito. Wow! The meat was tender and tasted great! I was estatic it was hot and very fresh. Super good. They even have two guys singing to all tables in Spanish. What a nice touch to this place. Over all food was good. Service was #1. I will return again and again.

The food here was excellent! It's barely out of the way from old town and the restaurant is pretty spacious. The mariachi band sounds awesome and the food was delicious! I ordered the fish tacos plate (San Felipe) and it came out piping hot, just how I like it! I don't usually eat beans, but the ones on the plate tasted really good! The tacos come on 6" tortillas, so don't expect the tiny street taco size! I would definitely come again when I'm in town. My group of friends found this place after our wine tour when we met locals (including our uber driver) who recommended this place. Definitely a hit!

  • Michelle H.

The food is authentic and delicious! We love the ambience in this restaurant. Taco Tuesdays are fantastic, street tacos and strong margaritas! Some nights they have acoustic mariachi musicians. The entire staff is friendly and fun to be around. Try it out, you will not be disappointed.

We have been coming here since they first opened! We LOVE this place. They have the best margaritas in town. The Carne Asada burrito is great especially with the chili verde sauce. The camarones empenazados was good too. Maria E took good care of us!

  • Lindsey R.

The margaritas were the best part of this place. The food was mediocre, not bad, but nothing I'd rave about or recommend.

4 stars is for their margaritas and most food ! Service how was really bad last night . We go there for happy hour often and the appetizers are also really good but last night was incredibly disappointing. So although it was not s good night, they got 4 stars for previous visits combined

It was a decision between Guadalajara and another Mexican restaurant and we went with Guadalajara.. Maybe I picked the wrong menu item then again so did my friend. Another words we were not impressed at all.. I actually had to use a knife to cut the tortilla on my enchiladas. Even then I had to use muscle. It was ridiculous! Needless to say if I'm ever in temecula again I won't be eating at Guadalajara's. I would like to say though the staff was very friendly..

    (1)
  • KC C.

Tonight they get 5 stars cause Liz was behind the bar, who actually says hi to customers and pours drinks instead of the usual Abraham who gives you a glass full of ice and a dirty look. We had the best server in Adriana, she was so polite and helpful. If you plan on coming here ask for her, especially big parties she is amazing with the customers. 5 stars for tonight for the staff they had on hand!!!!

  • Mrs J.

Very unfortunate.... we come here about twice a month but apparently now it is customary to automatically add gratuity to the bill even for a party of two?? I always tip 18% and above but seeing an automatic 18% gratuity on our bill then handed a signature receipt asking how much gratuity we would like to add seem super SHADY to me.

Guadalajara was excellent. We are out of towners from Los Angeles, Kansas City, MO and Washington DC, and we come here every year for the amazing food and excellent service. Adriana did not let us down. She was super friendly and handled our table of 8 with ease. We will definitely be back next year

Really enjoyed taco Tuesday here. Guitar music being played at tables. Very busy. Steak tacos were great and their cheese crisp appetizer was awesome. Drinks were yummy and server was nice. Kids loved their meals as well.

This is probably the best most authentic tasting Mexican food here in Temecula!!! Customer service is awesome!! I normally get enchiladas here, today I tried the Suiza enchiladas and they were great!!! And their free cheese crisp when you check in on yelp is super yummy!!! Take advantage of that yelpers !! My husband and dad got the Guadalajara grill, all I can say is wow the chicken, steak and shrimp were amazing!!!! I will get that next time and the albondigas soup yummy!!! They deserve all my stars!

Can't quite see why this place is all the rage. The food was decent but nothing to shout about. I had fajitas and they were average. Kind of disappointed after all the fanfare.

Always good. Food is authentic and delicious. Our tradition is to stop on the way home from a trip....plus we also eat there as part of our "eat out"nights. Top shelf margarita is 5 star. My fave is #5. Wife likes enchiladas suits.

Awesome every time! Love love love the bacon wrapped shrimp. OMG! I would eat this everyday if I could. plenty of fresh tortilla chips and awesome tasting salsa while you wait. the best margaritas in town. and now they have a new drink with blueberries in it. Super yum!

  • Lavonne R.

The best Mexican food I've had in Temecula! We came on Mothers Day without reservations, the place was packed and we got a table. It was so hard to choose something on the huge menu. Price was not a issue everything was about $15 or less! I was really impressed.

    (4)
  • Jared D.

Federico (server) was very friendly and accommodating. He cracked jokes here and there which made it a fun experience. We had the Carne Asada burrito and the Enchilada Del Mar. Both were fantastic! By checking in via Yelp, there was an electronic coupon via the app for a free Cheese Crisp! We would definitely return again!

  • Tim G.

The food is really good. But, the service was AWESOME. From the Hostess to the busboy to the waitress: everyone was friendly, attentive, and seemed like they enjoyed working there. And we were there on a busy Saturday night!

  • Em I.

Came in tonight.. being Tuesday I understand it's a bit busy but omg it was sooo loud!!! Also the lady taking our order was so pushy and rushed us we had just sat down and she demanded our drink order.. then when ordering our meal before I could say no onion she kept walking away.. like I'm not finished... I ordered a pork Verde burrito and the inside looked like mush something you would Feed a pig! So bad so salty and drinks were way to sweet.. everyone says their drinks are amazing... no way taste like crap!!! You guys need to get out more if you consider that food/drink amazing. Will not be returning.

I started coming here about 6 months ago. I've lived in the area for years but I just never quite made to this restaurant- even though I love Mexican food. I'm so glad that I finally went! The food is fantastic and never disappoints. I've been back about once a month now and I've never been disappointed in the food or service. You have to try one of their fresh Margaritas as well- excellent!

    (5)
  • M G.

Totally great margaritas! Especially when you come for happy hour, prices are great! You absolutely have to try the chile verde burrito or plate. I drag my family here every time they visit. Free chips and salsa - they keep coming too. I come here often and the staff makes a point of remembering your name and what you drink. Everyone is very friendly - staff and patrons. Lots of regulars.

My wife order some echilandas. When she began eating them we realized that the chicken was way undercook. Looked red and still had some blood. We showed it to the waiter he apologized and took it to the manager. The manager came and treated us like fools. Said the chicken was fine and was colored red inside because it was boiled on tomato sauce which was a pile of horsesh!&. He was really pushy about us eating it. Very disappointing.

We just moved to Temecula last week and we were looking on yelp for a Mexican restaurant. We came here because of the great reviews and we were not disappointed. Our food was great (verde enchiladas) and the service was excellent. Thank you Adrianna!

  • Dave W.

Went here for Cinco De Mayo lunch. Food was good and there were a lot of servers on hand always coming by asking if you needed something. Big minus was my wife ordered a cocktail and it wasn't very good. Then she wanted to try one of their signature cocktails. We waited forever and it never came. We were done with our meal and then waited for our check for quite a while. When it came out waiter said he was sorry we didn't get the drink but they didn't have a bar tender working. Which made me wonder who made my wife's first awful cocktail we paid for. ??? May come back for dinner because food and atmosphere was good but was bummed that they didn't seem to have their stuff together on what could be one of their busiest days of the year.

  • Victoria V.

Really love this restaurant. Not sure why it's not a five star rating! Our food was perfect. The chips and salsa were delicious, and I ordered tacos with Carnitas in them, and I am usually very wary of ordering Carnitas because sometimes Carnitas have so much greasy fat. These Carnitas were probably the best I've had, not a trace of grissle or fat on them. Everything was wonderful from the service to the two mariachi style guitar players singing and playing throughout the restaurant. I'll definitely be back!

    (5)
  • Lisa G.

Between all of us we had enchiladas ( nice & crispy). Tacos decent. Menudo was flavorful, good amount of meat ( a little thick) . Service was fast & friendly . Wish they still had the mariachi band on weekends! What happened?

    (5)
  • James M.

Great food, the mariachi band was fun to watch and hear as my mom and I dined! The place was crowded and had to wait 25 minutes for our seats! We had a place to sit as we waited and asked for a menu to look at. I feel like I was truly in Mexico hearing authentic music! :) Thank you Yelp for the check in offer for the Cheese Crisp. My mom ordered #3 with a margarita and I got a #9 with root beer. It's been a long time since I haven't had soda. Which is a good thing! Back to water next time! Or, Arnold Palmers.

Best chicken mole enchiladas ever!!! Unfortunately, they were only a special :-( I would order them every time if they were always on the menu. Also, great Cadillac margaritas and super friendly staff.

  • Amy P.

Great happy hour. Beer and margaritas are such a great deal- 3.75 margaritas I think. Music live playing always sets the ambiance, loved that. The 2 guys sang really well. This place looks like your average Mexican restaurant, but the food is much better!! I suggest trying a meal.. ( back page -carnitas meal ) or steak tacos. Soo good! The carnitas chunks were huge and crusted with seasoning and melted in your mouth! It was a meal big enough for 2. Worth it for 12.99!! It came with giant portion of perfectly cooked pork chunks, rice, beans , guac, pico, and choice of salad or soup I believe. Side salad was nice size. I have to say when I leave Mexican restaurants a lot of time I feel heavy and full of salt, but when we were done eating our meals, both of us agreed we didn't feel that way. If I went here again I'd order exactly what we ordered again. I have a feeling, I'll be craving the Carnitas meal!!!

Went for Sunday Brunch I asked for a chihuahua instead I got a enchilada. Was disappointed how my waitress handled the situation. Told me it was the same thing just egg on side not on top. It was completly different. Left and went somwhere else.

Been desperately looking for a good sit down Mexican restaurant since moving to Temecula and I think I finally found it. The food and service are great. The only negative is the decor is really outdated and old and house margs are a little pricey. There are other places that have much more personality as to decor, but that is not as important to me as the food. We had a carne asade plate and a pork chili verde dish. Both were very flavorful and reminded us of some of our fav places in north county. The key for me though is always the house salsa and this one was very good. I cannot stand a heavy onion presence and there was none. Service was the fastest I have seen. When we asked for more salsa or a drink or a plate, we got it in an instant. They have mariachis which is a nice touch too. House margarita's were a little pricey in a pint glass at $7.50 each, but the food prices were a fair value. We will definitely be going back. Its nice to know we have a 'go to' place finally.

  • Don G.

As usual an amazing time here, the staff is amazing and the food delicious it is what keeps me coming back best Mexican restaurant in the valley, plus the Mariachis sang we belong together. Best bday ever!!!! Forgot mention to the bartenders man they can make a margarita my hats off to them,

Always amazing but tonight was even better. Chips and salsa the minute we sat down. Our server Valorie didn't miss a beat. What looked like a busy night to us, was slow according to her. She was on top of everything and the food was delicious! This is the only Mexican restaurant I recommend to anyone that asks and it will continue to be that way. Great job Valorie!

    (5)
  • Donald B.

The food is good - prices are very reasonable. Drinks are also very solid. The minuses? Not a very good ambiance - borderlines on feeling "dumpy" without the charm. Service was good - BUT - they were understaffed. So I don't blame the wait staff. Ultimately, it was only "OK" - basically don't need to return - but didn't "hate" my experience.

  • Kenny G.

I've dined here several times within the past and will definitely admit to this place having "authentic" Mexican comida and quite an unsurpassable "Happy Hour". Margaritas are made to order and pack just the right amount of "punch" to get you faded and feelin' X-rated. O yeaaa. Had the pleasure of traveling to Wine Country this past weekend and thought it to be a perfect time to visit good ole' Guadalajara Grill and what can I say? Nothing's changed.... and that's a DEFINITE good thing! My only reason for the 1 star deduction would be the fact that upon requesting their "Million to Juan" margarita (also known as the Millionaire Margarita) our server looked back in disbelief that I was ordering it and took no time interjecting that it was $20. Uhm... Okay. Did I look incapable of affording it..? Well, in that case..... I'LL TAKE TWO! Shyt. I'll show you baz'terds- Moving forward however, the drinks arrived and I was less than impressed. While tasty and evident they used top shelf tequila - the beverage itself was "regular" sized and encompassed mostly ice...thereon I began to contemplate what I'd wasted my $40 on. I mean, you'd think for the price let alone the title you'd be afforded a larger quantity to conjure more of a "superior" element and at least ALLUDE to your having received the best "bang for your buck".......... not quite the case here. To cut to the chase, I won't knock this place off of my "to do" list the next time I'm in T-mek by any means. If anything, I know now what I WON'T be ordering.

  • Derek S.

I ordered the combination of Tamale, Chile Relleno, and taco. Everything was delicious, well-seasoned, and fresh. I loved the salsa. The food is way more authentic than I'm used to, Overall, the food was exceptional. The decor felt dark and the ceiling needs some minor repairs in a few places. The service was adequate. The server was polite and friendly, yet, maybe a little slow at times. I was very pleased with the experience and I would love the opportunity to go back.

Every time I am in California, I'm stuck in conference rooms ALL DAY for 3 days. On day 4, my dear uncle picks me up and whisks me away to SoCal so I can spend some quality time with him and my cousins, before heading home on day 5. I always request Mexican food and they always take me to spot that's only slightly better than fast food. The menu at Guadalajar is...busy. Too many options so I automatically assume it's not that fresh. I can't even remember what I had but I know I did not eat it all and had no interest in taking it with me. I checked in and got a free appetizers which was just a weird take on the nacho but not as good.

  • Stephanie N.

Came on a Thursday afternoon. Chips and salsa were really good. However....it went downhill from there. It took a long time before we were able to place our order and quite a while before we were served. Food was just ok. Nothing special. Margarita was good. Would only recommend this place if you are just doing chips and drinks.

The best chili Colorado around ! Last visit had the best waitress we have ever had there. Her name is Bree. A lot of the other servers could take a lesson from her.

I don't know how you say, this is freakin' awesome in Spanish, but it I could I certainly would. I love this place..I am in Temecula every other week on business and this is one of the places that I have to have dinner when I am down here. I love the waitresses, I love the food and have a crazy bromance with the bartenders who make perfect recommendations for over-the-top beverages...and they have a great selection of Tequila. . I had an amazing Serrano Pepper Margarita.with this fabulous meal called a Mixteca....a kooky crazy combination of Chile Verde and Chile Colorado which demonstrated just how much love they had in the kitchen. When I was done, I went to the bar where I had a double shot of high-end tequila wishing I was back in Reno where I could have had a cigar at the bar...but alas, this is wimpy California. Great people...and Love in the Kitchen. Go...eat...have fun. Really!

Have been going to guads for years and it never fails to satisfy a craving for that good and authentic Mexican meal. The menu has something for everyone and the margaritas are so yummy (ask for the fresh agave margarita will not disappoint) we like to order the POLLO YUCATAN but beware, it will leave you asking for more. Oh and I can't leave without giving in to my sweet tooth, always have to have their deep fried ice cream

What was good? I visited this restaurant with my wife for a Valentine's Day lunch on 2/14/14. If you check into the restaurant on the Yelp app, the restaurant gives you a free appetizer with the order of two entrees. Our taquito appetizer was absolutely delicious. Also delicious was the fresh jumbo shrimp salad. The service was very timely, professional, and friendly. The atmosphere was friendly, fun, and clean. Overall, for what we paid ($40 which includes a 20% tip), and what we got (1 appetizer, 2 entrees, 2 non alcoholic drinks), it was worth the trip. What was bad? The food served was in big portions but the meat served was disgusting. It lacked any kind of flavor and was swimming in oil. When I gave feedback to our waitress about the meat, she explained that the meat was cooked along with vegetables and that's where the oil came from. There were no veggies on my order. The waitress also forgot to serve me my flour tortillas. I never once got offered any comp although 80% of my plate was untouched. I would not visit this place again.

  • Emily S.

I've lived in temecula most of my life and have frequented this restaurant for years. I used to brag about how amazing this place was and bring all my friends and family. However, recently this place has gone down hill severely. The food is mediocre at best and the wait staff has developed quite an attitude problem. Last time I was there, our waitress made it point to let us know that she had regulars that were her top priority and refused to even bring my step daughter a kids menu....really. Don't waste your time or money on a business that no longer values its customers.

Good food and big portions. The service could use some work but we had a big group, so it is understandable. There was a mariachi band (two guitarists) roaming the area that were enthusiastic and willing to entertain us while we ate. The AC was abnormally chilly, so I was uncomfortable, but altogether a pretty good experience.

My husband, Leonard, and I recently got married in Temecula and had to make quite a few trips up during the planning process. We frequently stopped at Guadalajara on our visits. The food is great and the margaritas are strong. The service was also super friendly. We enjoyed the food and our visits so much that we asked if they would consider doing a drop off order for our rehearsal dinner. They agreed and we asked to order a couple different varieties if tacos with sides including some vegetarian options. We worked with Enrique on our order and he was very accommodating. He even personally dropped off the food and helped us set up the food for the rehearsal. You can tell he takes pride in the product the restaurant puts out! Our guests really enjoyed the tacos along with the beans (two types), rice, chips and salsa. There was more than enough food and people even went back for seconds. Our guests raved about the taco bar and our vegetarian guests were very thankful that one of the trays of beans was made without animal products. We were very pleased with our experience and will continue to visit Guadalajara Grill when we are in Temecula. It definitely holds a special place in our hearts. I would recommend Guadalajara grill to our friends and family! Thanks Enrique!

After eating here for a lot years tonight was a horrible experience and will keep us from ever coming back. The kitchen brought out one meal at a time forgetting needed sides and and silverware/napkins making dinner with the group of four not fun. Food was served cold plate hardly eatable not as good as past times bad. Possibly under California restaurant inspection numbers. We talked with the manager on 10/18 at 9pm and he did not seem to care about anything or making things right but offering free desert that we declined. We didn't want anything for free but good night with friends. The city of Temecula has a lot of great Mexican food restaurants I suggest that everyone stay away from this place due to the issues with poor management. Not happy

Hands down, my favorite Mexican restaurant in Temecula. I eat here about twice a month. Once i discovered their Enchilada Del Mar, I've been in a rut and have ordered nothing else, since. I used to order their Macho burrito which was delicious and very filling. Menu prices are all reasonable and portions are just right. Love the always-fresh, warm chips and salsa they bring to the table. Looking forward to coming back.

Adriena our waitress was adorable and super helpful we arrived and it was cold in the restaurant she immediately responded and made our visit more comfortable - she was there when we needed her and checked in on us like a pro!! Great food great service at a reasonable price what more do you want!?

My family and I have been eating here for as long as I can remember. This is one of the few authentic Mexican restaurants in the valley that we've had great food with consistency. I don't consider myself a "foodie" but I know what I like. This place is just good, you're not gonna be disappointed.

Great place to eat excellent Mexican Food at a awesome price!! The help is fast and easy to get along without looking for them. The drinks are great and at a great price! This place gives great bang for your buck!!

EASILY the best Mexican place in town. I have been going here for more years than I can remember and it's always been fantastic. Complimentary chips and salsa, attentive staff, great house margaritas, and always terrific food. Cannot recommend it high enough.

Early Father's day dinner and our food was so delicious! Always more than I can finish. Best albondigas in town! My 1 1/2 yr old loves it! I had bacon wrapped, cheese stuffed shrimp. It was amazing, except no seafood sauce... oh well. Husband took down his burrito lol. A different waitresses spilled iced cold drinks down my back, lol but everyone was nice about and discounted our bill. Luckily it got me instead of some crazy dramatic person who would flip out ;) call me Murphy's law! Our server was great. He has 4 young ones and 3 jobs! Holy cow! We love this place and will be back!

Well I must say not the best service at all last night - very rude waitress. I wish I remembered her name - because I know it's not fair to the rest of the wait staff that does there job with happiness. Was rude when we only said water to start with, she assumed we all wanted to order from the bar. Our glasses were empty several times where we had to leave our glasses at the edge as a hint. My GF's salad was wrong the first time out and was fixed but brought out almost after we were done with our meals. Just not a happy experience and not sure if I would go back. I usually feel bad when we leave a bad tip, but not at all this time. Sincerely $4.00 dollar tippers. No excuses - be friendly, get the plate right, make sure our drinks are filled - goes a long way.

My fiancé and I were skeptical about eating there because we don't know if the Mexican foods is really good (because it's hard to find a restaurant that serves really good traditional Mexican foods). Well after eating there for the first time, we were so happy and satisfied with their foods. We love it and we will definitely come back for more! We ordered Flautas, Chile Relleno, Beef taco, along with beans and rice plus Margaritas signature. We want to come back on on a Saturday because we heard they usually have Mariachi band there. Yes, I recommend other people to eat there. I am Mexican myself so I know what I'm talking about. :) Enjoy!

I come here frequently, and generally it's a nice experience every time. The food is what you pay for with decent sized portions. My only problem is with the waitress Martha. We've had her twice and both times she's extremely rude and doesn't bother to serve us. A normal in and out time here is 30-45 minutes, But with her it was extended to an hour and a half. The front desk ladies are usually pretty rude as well. All in all, good restaurant.

My favorite spot for authentic Mexican food. Great bar (with an older crowd) with lots of selection. Service was quick and friendly, with fresh chips and salsa as soon as we sat down. The enchilada del mar is the usual... Plump shrimp cooked perfectly and real crab (lots of it)! This enchilada is more like a wet burrito, and delicious all the same. Great price for seafood as well (less than $11) an the portion was large. Excellent all around.

I will come back. I had stake tacos that came with beans and rice for about $12. The food was good and the service was excellent. They brought me fresh beer before my glass was empty, a big plus for me. Good family environment

My husband and I love this Mexican restaurant. Lots of good food and doesn't drain your wallet. Always busy though.. And for good reason. We don't feel the need to go anywhere else for Mexican food with this place around!

  • Natalie G.

I love coming here for any meal! The staff is always so kind and welcoming! We started coming here when we moved in the area over 3 years ago, and still see familiar staff faces from back then. Pretty much anything you order is going to be fantastic! I love their shredded beef tacos! If you decide you want your food a little different, maybe a tamale instead of a taco, they are happy to switch it around for you without charging extra! Overall you can't go wrong with eating here. Also, be sure to try their margaritas! They are absolutely delicious!!!

Everyone kept telling me to try this place... Food was okay just like any other typical Mexican restaurant... Slow service, didn't know where to go when I walked in waited 5mins till someone came and sat me...

Yum...haven't been here in years, but have to say it was pretty Damn good. I had the ground beef Chimichanga with rice n beans. Hubby had the crab n shrimp enchiladas. Both were great. Service was impeccable...came on a Wednesday night at 6 and it was a zoo. We were seated right away, had fresh chips and salsa set immediately. Will definitely be back. Great job!!

Still some of the best tasting Mexican food in the area. Say what u want about the location, but it's convenient and parking is easy. Service is great. Beer selection is poor. Food is fresh, prices are fair, it's an old school Temecula classic....if u lived here back in the early 90s...then this was one of the few restaurants and it's still a great place.

I'm here on the regular and enjoy it every time I come. Good food and the best margaritas in town hands down!! The cheese crisps are off the hook and you can add meat to them! Try the TJ tacos on Taco Tuesday they are on point. The carne asada burritos are a must!!!

I came here last night at 6pm with a party of 14 for one of our coworker's birthday. We had made reservations for this event about a week ago. Half of the party was there around 6:15 and the other half were on their way. We chose this place because of all of the positive yelp reviews. When we arrived the atmosphere was great but once 6:15 came along the manager came to our table and told us that they needed our table for other guests who were on the wait list. We told the manager that we had made reservations a week ago and the rest of the party is on their way and she shot us down rudely and said "We only hold tables that are reserved for 15mins" and walked away and literally started head counting our table from across the room and came and removed the table that was part of our group. I was appalled, especially when the rest of the party came shortly after and we were uncomfortably seated because of the limited space. If you're a restaurant that does reservations, please let your guests know about the "15 mins" thing prior to the event. Valorie our server, deserves 5 stars for being great and uplifting everyone's mood after this confrontation with the manager. The food was nothing to boast about. The beer was warm (no head, non chilled glass & took 15mins to arrive). Unfortunately, we will not be back.

I went on taco Tuesday... They don't have great deals for that. The food wasn't amazing either. It was okay, the margaritas were just okay. The salsa for the chips were pretty good though. I probably won't come back. It's not a bad place, but there are a lot better.

My husband and I dine here often. The Margarita's are really good. We ordered the Guadalajara plate with chicken, beef, shrimp, albondigas soup and chimachanga plate. Good food but they need to stop drowning the plate with bell peppers. Overall, they don't disappoint.

I think I enjoy this place too much!... I know I should start by talking about the food, but I just can't because there's something even more important to me I have to tell first. I've forgotten my wallet here not once, but twice! I'm somebody who's OCD about not forgetting things, so it's strange for sure as it doesn't really happen. Not to worry, I have gotten it back safe and sound with all my cards and cash, and no negative fallout. That really says something, if you ask me. As for the food, it's the real deal! I always have my visiting family eat here for an authentic Mexican taste. The staff has always done well, and my kids are not out of place. A good family restaurant that you can go to dressed up or down. Wildly popular at certain peak times, so make a reservation if you can. I'd praise it more, but no need really. The place/food speaks for itself! It's good. Check it out!

I was recently in Temecula for a wedding and Guadalajara catered the rehearsal dinner. I had been working all day long getting things ready and was so pleased to have an amazingly delicious dinner waiting for me afterwards! The food was so good- and abundant. With people eating like they were I was surprised there was anything leftover, but they were great the next morning for breakfast burritos. I'll definitely check out the restaurant next time I'm in town.

I came to bring my family from Texas because I love this place. And just a note to all parents out there... If you get a kids meal the ONLY drink they can get is a soda... If they get milk, juice, or tea they will be charged adult price of 2.50!!! I think this is crazy personally and am very upset I was not informed!!! Besides that they were quick in bringing our food and adult portions are pretty big

I would sit here and write alot about the horrible experience my wife and I just had since we just left this place but to keep it simple, hands down one of the worst service and food we've ever had.. Food had no taste, the waitress was slow and rude. They DONT even have Horchata?!?! I would've much rather had gone to Del taco...

Horrible service! My friend made a reservation here for 14 & only half showed up because the rest were running late. So the hosts wanted to take our tables to seat other people which is not our problem! We made a reservation & never told us that if our whole party wasn't there within 30 min of the reservation we get our tables taken? Wth kind of shit is that? I work at a restaurant & that makes no sense! We would never do that to a party that's just rude & we don't even make reservations. Food wasn't even that good either just sucked overall Exocet our waitress she was good just sucks she works for a shitty place! I wouldn't waste my time going here at all !

Horrible! Horrible! Horrible! Worst experience I've had at this place. Been going here for years & never any complains until today. Waitress took our order wrong therefore we receive the wrong stuff, she then had a attitude with us the rest of the time. Will not be going back I'll make the drive to Fallbrook for Estrella's.

Absolutely disappointed! I was so excited to try this place out since there are other locations in LA so I thought this would be good. First of, the restaurant does not look clean. Table was sticky and the booth was dirty with rice on it. After I requested a wipe down from our server, the table smelled so bad from their dirty towel. Do they ever wash their towels? Second, food and chips was only so so. There were no flavor in my fajitas and it was dried. Lastly, my daughter got a free lollipop from the server and guess what? There were DEAD ANTS stuck on the candy!!!!!! Thank goodness she spotted it or she will be eating dead ants. This place is so gross and will never dine there again.

Always good. Mariachi band and good margaritas. This place is so good. The staff works hard. Jessie at the bar is the man! -- even though he's not here tonight. Go steelers! Of you haven't been- you MUST give it a go.

Great food for the price. Restaurant is a little loud but that must be because it is always packed. Staff is great, service is excellent. Live the chips and salsa...they don't let them run out! The Chile Relleno is superb.

I've definitely had better mexican food but the vibe here is super cool. Love their bar. Bartenders here know how to make good drinks for sure. Came here on a Friday night and waited for about 15 minutes. Noticed they had a check in offer for a free appetizer when you order 2 entrees so we thought sweet! For my entree, I ordered the flautas and they were okay. Kinda soggy tasting and that didn't really sit well with me. Beans and rice were pretty good though! Our server was pretty nice. She didn't put the free appetizer on the check so we had to let her know to take it off, but other than that, she was decent. I would definitely say go to the bar over the restaurant instead. They have Mariachi bands on Friday night and its a good place to come with friends and have fun. Mojito's are pretty good too!

I was so disappointed in my last visit here. I've come a couple times before and it was really good. I live in Orange County, so I traveled quite a ways to go to this restaurant. 10 of us went there for my birthday. We made a reservation several days ahead and we called the day of to confirm. We were told we were all set. We get there and end up having to wait 40 minutes past our reservation. Then they seat us at some weird booth that splits our party up with a low wall - so four of us sat together and then the other 6 sat on the other side of the wall. It really was awkward and felt like we were cut off from our whole party and made it hard to visit with everyone. There was a larger party at the restaurant at the same time as well. And I think that they couldn't handle having 2 large parties at the same time. Our food trickled out - they brought whoever's was done first instead of bringing everyone's at the same time. Me and 3 others ordered fajitas and they brought out our rice and beans around 10 minutes earlier than our fajitas (i sent my rice and bean plate back because it got cold) and then I got my tortillas about 5 minutes after my fajitas and just ended up eating most of it without them. We got a pitcher of margaritas, too and it was ok. But I have had better margaritas there on other visits as well. They seemed to be very much off their game this last weekend. On the plus side, it was pretty inexpensive; for a party of 10 we only paid around $130. I might go back, but definitely would never bring a group of people here again.

Came out to Temecula for a wine tasting day trip and this place was listed in our hotel booklet as being nearby and also 10% off for hotel guests. The place looked pretty darn busy when we pulled up, families and older couples out to dinner on a Saturday night. There was a mariachi walking around playing music and it just had a bustling feeling overall. Menu is huge -- fajitas, enchiladas, tacos, etc--I felt like I was back home in Texas (and that's not a good thing). I think I was trying to for a one star review because I ordered the enchiladas del mar. Dried up, flavorless shrimp and crab? didn't notice the crab. Even the red sauce was barely there, it was mostly shredded cheese on top. Before our check is given, I tell the waiter we came from the Embassy Suites and he just looks at me like "que que? The next 5 mins he was back and forth with telling us "no, sorry" and then double checking with the manager and then looking at my hotel key card and then finally saying OK. UGH how annoying! We only went because of the discount and being so close to the hotel. What a headache and the food was BLEH.

Seriously the best Mexican food in the area! Given the only other place Ive tried was The Bank, but Guadalajara Grill kicks its ass! First off, don't forget to check in since there's a check-in offer for a free appetizer, excludes the big sample platters. But it doesn't exclude the giant chicken nachos we got! So good. Comes with guacamole, sour cream, olives, jalapenos and beans. I like that the beans seems to be spread over the nachos just like the cheese. Also, their beans don't have whole beans in them, they are pretty mashed up. I liked this. Their salsa is delicious too! Half way through these I thought, holy crap, I still have a burrito coming. I got the Tapatio Burrito. Don't worry, its not full of Tapatio. Its shredded chicken with beans (I substituted rice) topped with a ranchero sauce and avocado. The ranchero sauce is pretty light with some onions and peppers in it. Not alot of flavor but enough to make this more than a dry burrito. I think my bf got the Chili Colorado Burrito and love it! Very tender pieces of meat. Also, here's when you can check out their full menu, not the one provided on yelp: guadalajaramexicangrill.…

Went here last weekend 12/9/12 and checked in. You get a free entree for checking in. Got the cheese quesadilla and it was yummy. The food is pretty good here, but if you are watching your carbs, stay away from the chips as they are deep fried evilness with the salsa that's pretty good. The carne asada meat is really good and flavorful tasting. Hard to watch your carbs at a Mexican restaurant, but you can go vegetarian style I suppose, but i do love my meat options.

Had dinner here in mid-December and was disappointed by the food and the lackluster service. It wasn't even all that busy in the restaurant area. Both of us were less than happy with the experience. I ordered the same combination plate I always order, so I know how good it can be when they're on their "A" game. They were on their "D" game that night ffs. Time to take a break from this place. Maybe they'll get it back, maybe they won't.

  • Caleb-Jerel D.

Great service. Food was alright, nothing that really blew my mind. Had a margarita on the rocks which was surprisingly good. Didn't take too long to get my food either though my girl friends dish was a little on the cold side. Overall atmosphere was good, service was top notch but you go to a restaurant to eat and the food was not up to par with the rest.

  • Brandon B.

Good prices on food and margaritas. The food is really good and the meal is of decent proportion. The margaritas are made with a strong presence of alcohol which is always good. The only thing I didn't like much was how the tables are clustered together tightly. All and all a great place

YES!!! million dollar margarita..(only $20 bucks)..worth every penny. Had some delicious enchiladas. Also very friendly staff. Would recommend to all my friends!!!..just don't tell my wife I spent $20 on a margarita...lol

Saw the place for the first time while driving by at around 6PM. Big marquee with blinding lights saying Guadalajara Mexican Grill & Cantina, or something to that effect. What really caught my eye was that the parking lot (50 cars or more?) was full. All that in a glimpse as I pass it by on our way to Temecula Pkwy. Immediately consulted with the other two occupants, since we had not eaten since 11 AM, if we should check the place out. Yes. After all, specially well prepared Mexican food can be very tasty when in that particular craving. Decent size place, it really was congested on a Tuesday night, with even a kid's B-Day being celebrated for we saw several families carrying gifts. After a short wait we were led to our booth, all the ones around us were taken. Did we hit the jackpot for a change? These are the selections: Cheese Enchilada and Tamale combo, $9.95, included were refried beans, mexican rice, guacamole, sour cream, and small cut lettuce as well. Cheese Enchilada nothing special, Tamale a little better, beans bland and unsavory, rice a little passé but edible. 3 Stars. 2 Enchiladas Suizas with Chicken, $10.95, with the same sides. What makes this dish tasty if the sauce that covers the enchiladas, must be made just right in flavor and texture, the sauce in the dish was runny and very thin, flavor missed by a long margin. The chicken was a downright boring shame, for the money a total disastrous choice on my part. 2.5 Stars. Carnitas Plate, $12.95. To their credit they serve several nice size chunks of carnitas, kind of impressive really, and the plate also came with the very same sides. When you think about it that is the set up of most dishes, which is good, but bad when there is no quality in the making. Carnitas were dried from the get go, but surely not a deal breaker because after all one can add plenty of salsa, and what the heck, down the belly it went! 3 Stars. Guacamole Dip, $5.95. First of all, doubt that it was real, second it was old, third it tasted badly enough that at least half was abandoned where it lay. We ordered this dip, and the waitress, who overall was never around, brought it to the table in less than a minute. Like if it had been waiting already made, it was terrible. What ever happened to bring the fresh, and perfectly ripe avocado to the table, and prepare it with lime, cilantro, etc? This one looked grayish, lifeless. 1 Star. 2 Salads, one cost me $3.25, the other came with the Carnitas plate. Very cold, smothered with blue cheese as requested, lettuce, shaved carrot, cucumber slices 2, below average. 2.5 Stars. Chips and Salsa, Free? Chips were fine, salsa decent but not a memorable one. 3 Stars. 3 Waters, with enough ice to help in the taste department, but faucett poured, but of course. 2 Stars. Service mediocre, just like the food. This place made me learn a valuable lesson. I thought that because it was so crowded, it was going to be above average, thinking perhaps that the majority is always right. Yes, I understand some may praise this place, but I would not wish it on anyone, ten times better getting an In & Out Burger than eating this poor excuse for a Mexican restaurant. Large crowds eating this quality of food, while luring innocent fools like us, because of the numbers. Temecula is very crowded and perhaps one needs to be aware that not because an establishment is packed with people, is going to be very good, to put it kindly. Total with tip: $48. 3 Stars.

Went here for Happy Hour. They had Margaritas that were premade with a mix that had more chemicals in it than dish soap! Honestly the worst margarita I have ever had and I have had hundreds in my day. I had to return it and get a beer. Not sure what the hype is about this place. It was packed in the bar area. I guess in general people don't have high standards when it comes to their margaritas Had a few appetizers in the bar that were edible but nothing fantastic. Won't be gong back here too many other good Mexican restaurants around that don't serve margaritas made out of chemical weapons!

My friend and I stopped in on a sunday for happy hour. We ordered the shrimp cocktail to share along with some chicken enchiladas! I had the strawberry margarita $4 was soooo sweet and Amazing! My friend ordered the millionaire margarita, $20 yikes! But it also was pretty amazing! Chips and Salsa were good. Fast service. Happy hour is great!

I dinned here about a month ago and it was simply disgusting. Everything tasted like dirty water. We had to wait 30 mins for a table in a Saturday at 5pm so I imagine its a pretty popular place. We got a margarita while we waited. It tasted like dirty water. Worst margarita I've had in my life. Once we sat down our waiter was friendly and quick. I ordered the fajitas and again they tasted like dirty water. The only reason they are getting two stars is because of the waiter. I won't be returning.

Terrible guacamole. Slow (I mean we were waiting for a check for an hour slow) service. Terrible canned-tomato salsa. Begged them to give me the hot sauce I know the cooks in the back use, but no. Pork carnitas was like steamed or something (needs to be boiled in milk and then fried!). So not worth going back since you can't throw a rock in So Cal without hitting a Mexican restaurant. Surely there's better places within a few blocks. Note: the agave (skinny) Margarita was excellent. I was suspicious of anything "skinny" - but it's a must try.

I came here for the first time about a month ago. I have heard nothing but great things about this place! We went on a taco Tuesday evening, and I had some of their tacos that were on special that night. I LOVED them. The margaritas there for happy hour are great. I highly recommend the Cabo Wabo Margarita! The servers were very attentive. I would recommend coming here! I definitely will be back!

Pretty good! My hubby and I went on a Saturday night at 6-6:30 and were seated within 10 minutes. Love the family feel of the restaurant and would have never noticed it if I didn't come on yelp and see the fantastic reviews. It is kind of off of the beaten path. We got a free app because we checked in! WOOT WOOT. We had the guac and it was pretty good. Nothing special, really. Maybe we should have tried something else like the nachos or taquitos. The chips and salsa are definitely a reason to come here. Some of the best I have had at a mexican restaurant. Really. There isn't anything "special" about them, but they just really hit the spot. The burritos were yummy! My hubby got the achoite chicken and I had the carnitas (verde burrito?)... DELISH! The first few bites were so yummy and the big chunks of pork were fantastic. It become a little too salty for my taste after a while, but still pretty good! Overall, I think our experience was great... good food, good service, good times. Not sure if I will ever be back, but I did enjoy a yummy tasty meal with my husband and Guadalajara hit that yummy authentic mexican spot I have have had for awhile!

Great service and quick service. The chicken chimmys are terrific. Try the margarita on the rocks. Ceviche is fresh and chips and salsa til you say no. The place was hopping and loud last Saturday nite. Fun place for a group, a family or just chillin' at the bar.

THIS place SUCKS!!!!!!!!! I got food poisoning!!! When I took a bite of my shrimp I complained and told them it tasted a little funny. They took it back and it looked like I got the same plate back. I didnt even attempt to have another bite, but all it took was that one bad shrimp!!!!! YUCK never AGAIN!!! and seriously the customer service was HORRIBLE!!!!!! Once we complained it was all dirty looks and comments. Im lucky I speak spanish or I would not HAVE heard them saying to F#$@ my mother!!!!! OMG I WILL NEVER EVER GO THERE AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

One of the only mexican restaurants I like in the area. I am not really big on mexican food. Too heavy for me but this place has a nice selection on the menu. Its always a pretty decent crowd so you dont feel uncomfortable being the only people in the restaurant like some mexican food places. They make pretty good margaritas too.

Honestly, I've had Carne Asada burritos twice as big, and half the price at a local Alberto's. The food really is "blah" quality. The chips were really good the previous time, not so great this time. I can't really speak for the alcohol drinks, but the Mariachis are pretty cool/funny :) It can get a little busy, but the staff is friendly and did get us seated fairly quickly. Overall, In-N-Out down the street would've been a lot more satisfying.

Salsa was like Pace Picante. Waiter was prompt at first, but didn't seem to understand my questions/requests. We got happy hour margarita's that tasted awesome and strong. We weren't ready to order, and had to ask twice for someone else to send the waiter over. Albondigas was pretty good. Dinner came out fairly quickly, huge portions, good taste. Would prefer I think to go to El Torito. Margarita's probably aren't as good/strong during happy hour, but chips and salsa are better.

"I love this place. My very favorite place to eat. Margaritas are the best in town, heck the best anywhere. My favorite waiter is armando. He always takes care of us. He is the best. Food is awesome and the prices cannot be beat. I recommend to everyone!"

Went with a party of 6 Saturday night. Showed up at 6:30 and the place was packed. They told us we'd have a 45 minute wait and, after some fretting about where else we might go, we decided to just wait it out. Lo and behold they were able to seat us in about 25 minutes. I hate waiting for a seat in a restaurant and I especially hate when they tell you one thing and you end up waiting longer. However, I love when they under promise and over deliver. Customer service is all about managing expectations and exceeding them. The host staff that night did a great job. Food was great as usual. -Joe

We went here for Sunday brunch. I was skeptical but kept an opened mind. There was seven of us and even though they were packed we were helped and seated immediately. We got stuck sitting at the only two open tables...they pushed them together and it wasn't the best but whatever...its an $8.95 brunch which includes UNLIMITED CHAMPAGNE!!! That was the reason we went! My expectations of the food I kept low...I was like "you can't expect much for $8.95brunch with chamapagne" the brunch menu was limited, But for $2.00 more you can add a chicken breast or steak. I added a side chicken breast to my chilie verde and took the verde, egg scramble, bread and beans to go(weird I know but I really just wanted chicken, I'm not a big breakfast eater)...the food was great! It came with rice, beans, tortillas and this awesome sweet bread. The champagne glasses were large wine glasses filled to the brim and the waitress kept them that way the entire time. The chips and salsa are great and you MUST ask for the verde sauce for the chips. Our waitress was excelent and very patient with our loud crew. The brunch is only til one so get there early but they will continue to serve chamapagne after that time. I will be back next Sunday for sure :-)

Came in today because this place had high ratings on Yelp. It was packed, probably because of Happy Hour. But they served us chips and salsa first, I loved it! But after that it took like 15 minutes just to get our order down. Even though waiters passed by us like 6-7 times. And their was a couple close to us that received a dish that was still steaming a lot and made the room sorta cloudy and smelly. After about another 15-20 minutes of waiting we finally got our food. The food presentation was horrible. It looked like it was just thrown on their. I ordered a burrito and there was bits of random meat on the plate. The lettuce sour cream and tomato was just thrown on their. And the burrito (carne Asada) wasn't that good. Overall, not satisfied at all and over priced place.

I gave 5 stars to bring ratings up. This establishment deserves at least a 4! Their food is good- 3stars.., however, I am picky because I am Latina and cook my own mexican food, mine is better;)).. Their service is good, prompt and efficient- 4stars. I love how its so loud in there, everyday is a fiesta;). If you are a snobby, need a glass of wine and quiet chat, do not go to this mexican joint, you will be sorely disappointed!

December 19th. Huevos Rancheros, Sunday. This place is just ok, nothing to jump up-and-down about. Also chips and salsa, this is a Mexican restaurant they better be free. Salsa is ok, not good or bad same with the chips. Huevos Rancheros, was needed a little more ranchero sauce, also it comes on a deep fried corn tortilla, which was ok. Rice is stuck together and chunky, but had some ok but odd taste to it. Beans was the best part of the meal, good flavor, mix with the rice and ok salsa and it all blends will. Service was good, better then some in the area. I would come back here if someone else paid for the meal. 5/12

Came here for my sister-in-law's birthday. The food was awesome and our large party enjoyed their food. I got the seafood enchilada and u tried the red snapper as well. The red snapper would have been perfect if it weren't fried. I would've given 5 stars but they were difficult about letting us sit together. ..even though we had a reservation. Also, the waiter took forever to come to us once we were seated.

I have been coming here since I was a kid. This place has been consistent and delicious every time I go. The drinks are great and of course the food is more than superb. I am quite the critique when it comes to a good Taco Tuesday and they are yummy! Definitely a must go

The service was kind of slow for a lunch hour on a Sunday and food was just okay. Nothing stood out at delicious. The chips and salsa were the best thing to us personally. I don't like when they dress up a plate full of shredded lettuce and pico only to give you a 1/4 cup of Spanish rice. Not sure if we will return.

Average food.Prompt service.Chile verde needed some heat put to it, Very bland. Esmerelda made a great Margarita. Ive been to every Mexican restaurant in TemeculaI and would come back again. La Cocina was the Greatest 4 years ago but has gradually gone downhill to the point their food is disgusting. So, All in All, Guadalajara Mexican Grill is a nice place.

It's ok here. I had a tapatio burrito and a strawberry margarita. The margarita was weak and tasted more like water than margarita. The burrito was so so. The chips and salsa were delicious. The service was TERRIBLE. If they come up and ask you if you're ready to order you better be ready or you won't see them for another 20 minutes. When you've got your food or you want more chips, you might as well get out of your seat and walk up to your server and ask, but fat chance you'll get them immediately. At first I thought it was because they were busy but after I asked for water 5 different times I gave up and asked the busboy instead. Our server wasn't made to be a server. The busyboy did a better job than she did, and I ended up tipping him more than I tipped her.

I had high hopes walking into this place. First of all, it was HIGHLY recommended by some friends who frequent it often. With hindsight, I now realize that when someone sells a restaurant to you by saying "GREAT margaritas," there's a problem. We walked in and were seated promptly. The place was pretty busy, which we took as a good sign. Chips and salsa and water arrived fairly quickly. While not the worst I've ever had, both chips and salsa left much to be desired. For my taste, the chips were too thick and greasy, while the salsa was overwhelmed by black pepper and lacked acid. After about 10 minutes the waitress took our order which included the afore mentioned margaritas. And I will say this: it was during Happy Hour - and for 3 bucks, it was a very good margarita. After a sizable wait, the meal arrived. I ordered ala carte a traditional tostada with pork and a ground beef taco. I consider both very safe choices. I wish, wish, WISH I had taken a picture of my plate. What a mess. Grey beans. Sloppy, slimy guacamole. A strange little pile of black olives. Radishes(?!?). It was incredibly unappetizing. Flavors on the tostada were ok. I was really hungry, so I ate probably 3/4 of it. But that taco... The shell was like chewing greasy shoe leather. And the flavor was just...off. I set the entire thing aside. My other major complaint was that the kids taquitos were served with large chunks of onion and green chili inside. My 5 year old took one look and wouldn't eat a bite. We waited with half-eaten dirty dishes sitting in front of us for at least 20 minutes waiting for the check. I honestly thought about leaving without paying, only because it seemed no one wanted my money. I'm glad I waited, because the free creamy lime after dinner mint was the best part of the meal. It was at this point that I told the waitress, "this taco was terrible." She looked at it, with it's one bite taken out of it. Her response. "Really?" Yes. Really.

Ok so my Fiancee and I love Guads in Elsinore, however the Temecula location sucks. The chips were stale, the beer was warm and the food was terrible. The upside was In-n-Out was close

Ok, I read alot of reviews and it sad that the Owner of Business only answers to the the good reviews!. I had menudo here and it sucked!.. it was like they hardly gave you any meat and corn. Its like the left over of someone plate. middle full, I looked at it and I told the waitress this is the plate?.. she said yea, were running out!. so maybe next time she can tell me there's not enough to fill a plate at least full. I ate it but also I ate the chips to fill me. It was not that great!.. I think Alberto's was better in a hole in the wall, they fill it up and its very tasty. There beer is always out of MGD they show a sign of MGD but when you go there they say oopss were out.. (all of the time) Then they say would you like bud yuck!! cheap beer....Hello if you know its a popular drink order more!!.. not sure why people go there cause they skip on the beans and rice. The beans are watery so when you picked them up with the spoon, you see the plate, also the reason they add lots of lettuce so they give you a teaspoon of rice. It has gone down the tubes. Really even the service is worse. Margarita's cheap liquor!..The food has no taste cause they skip on ingredients. I know they can do better! but they dont cause its the money is good who cares about the food or what it taste like. I recommend you go to Los Cabos Grill on Jefferson, give it try.. its very tasty and the beer is very cold. Also the Salsa is real salsa and if you ask for hot salsa they have it in the back!..no frills but excellent food.

Food here USED to be soooo good. I ordered guacamole, waited and waited and waited. Asked the server as she was rushing by and within five minutes someone else dropped off a side dish with light green colored goop. You know the guacamole that they sell in the deli section of the grocery store that doesn't taste like guacamole at all? Yup - that's what I was served. Absolutely NO sign of avocado and I was charged $2.95 for it! I ordered a carnitas taco and a carne asada taco. The carnitas taco was mediocre, the carne asada taco was sent back because the meat tasted like fishy fish. Very gross. Slow service just put the cherry on top of a bad meal. I won't be back

  • Rena B.

Very simple, flavorless Mexican food suitable for people who prefer bland food. The chips were bad and the salsa was like tomato sauce with a few onions. I had to use the Tapatio bottled sauce to add a little heat. Wasn't bad, just wasn't mouth watering, delicious Mexican food that I've had at home and at more authentic Mexican restaurants.

If you want good food and service this is the place. The food is really great and the portions are huge. Chips and salsa are fresh. Fajitas are my choice and my daughter loves their tacos. My husband is always trying something new and he hasn't been disappointed. We love it here. The one in Lake Elsinore is incredible also

Waiting for a Darius Rucker concert to start, I got hungry and wanted some Mexican food, I yelped a few places and honestly Guadalajara seemed to have the most reasonable reviews. I came in and the placed was busy but not PACKED, which is the best of both worlds, 1. because it lets me know people enjoy the food and 2. It's not so busy that I have to wait, and wait, and wait. I got seated pretty quickly, and our server promptly came up to us and I ordered one of the famous Margaritas - on the rocks, with salt on the rim. And true to form, those little suckers are strong! I'm a 6' tall man at 230 lbs, so I'm not easily impressed but after 3, I had to give up the car keys and have my date drive us to Pechanga. We ordered, I had the Albondiga soup for starters, and let me tell you I haven't had an Albondiga soup this good since I was in Mexico City. Absolutely delicious. I went ahead and ordered the Guadalajara Grill which is a 7oz steak, a marinated chicken breast and shrimp. With a side of rice and beans.. The beans were a little dry in my opinion and the rice was on par, but the steak and the chicken were very juicy and the salsa was fresh. I can't say enough about the margaritas though, simply amazing. Also to the people that say the chips were stale are probably folks that leave it sitting there for a long time before they start eating them or don't know how to ask for another batch... the chips are greasy, very very greasy, but in a delicious kind of way. If you're looking for something along the lines of El Torito this isn't probably for you, but if you are a fan of authentic Mexican food, this place will hit the spot. And not to mention at a reasonable price, I left there dinner for two with various drinks, for under 50... I live in the Southbay so going to Temecula JUST to eat at Guadalajara is not something I'm willing to do, but if you're in the area I can't recommend this enough.

First of all I have never been on YELP before. I work in the retail/customer service industry and get surveys about my business and team. I have always found feedback a gift. So here you go, from the hostess to the bar help to our waiter all around bad service. We were seated at our table, no one greeted us after 10 minutes, we finally had someone put chips and salsa on our table. The large groups around us seemed to be getting all the attention, we had 3 at our table. Finally the waiter Armando took our drink order, brought the drinks, took our food order, brought us the check and that was it. McDonalds could have done more. Never came back to the table, tried to flag him down, finally flagged someone else to get more chips and salsa that never appeared. Flagged someone else for a to go box and check. Armando never acknowledged us. He never asked and if he had, my food was under cooked I would have liked another drink, and some more water, but what the heck I guess he was banking on the large groups for a bigger tip as I always tip minimum 20% or better. I will nor my family, will ever return here. I love word of mouth recommendations and this mouth will recommend not to eat here. P.S. as for the hostess she could learn how to smile when she greets patrons it sets a tone. P.S.S. Bar help make some eye contact and let people know you will be right with them.

Pretty good Mexican sit down restaurant. Good chips and salsa. I would say the enchiladas are your best bet. If you have a choice between El Torito and this place, go here. The location next to the 15 makes it easy to go to if you're driving through Temecula craving some Mexican food. Parking here sucks, so try to go off hours.

I've been here several times now. I feel like its a hometown classic. Everyone comes here. The food and drinks are great, service is friendly, and the atmosphere is very laid back. If you're looking for some good mexican food, give Guadalajaras a try!

Pretty good for this area. The Cadillac margarita was perfect. Score! We also enjoyed the shrimp cocktail that we got free as a check in offer. The juice was citrusy and it had a lot of shrimp and avocado. We will be back!!!

This is my favorite Mexican Restaurant in Temecula. El Charro (steak, enchilada, and chile relleno) is so good and big enough to share. It seems they don't take the seeds out of the chile, so if you don't like spice, be warned. Watch out for the margaritas, as I've heard they are very strong and use cheap liquor, so you may end up with a headache:)

The good... Chips & salsa Choices Nice size drinks (non alcoholic) Food came out quick The average Burritos come plain...not wet...kinda dry...no beans or rice Giant tostada is basically a salad on a shell Tough location to find and kinda old looking outside Service...we had a gentleman and he didn't refill drinks which was bad! Overall it was ok...we'll probably be back. Just keep your expectations lower.

Two of us went on a Saturday night at around eight o'clock. We were sat immediately in a booth. Our waitress was prompt and took our drink orders. I got a margarita on the rocks with salt, he got a coors light. My margarita was great! Always is.. Nice and strong... He ordered the ultimate tostada (I think) and I got the taquitos sunrise and a salad. Everything tasted fine (my beed tasted a little off for some reason...maybe too dry?) and the reason I'm only giving four stars is because our server didn't really make it an enjoyable evening. Sure she delivered everything on time, but there was absolutely no personality and she never offered me another drink. We'll be back. We love this place.

Blah...... the food was just blah and i know i'm being real nice when i say that! Whats worst then a restaurant with blah food??? A restaurant with blah food and horribly slow service!! I mean come on... i know it was busy but it was fully staffed and i was there with a big group. We should of had two servers at least. Wouldn't go again especially since IN & OUT is down the street!

Guadalajara's is my favorite Mexican place in town. The margaritas are GREAT, they're strong and tasty, just the way I like them. My husband and I have come here several times and haven't come across one item on the menu we don't like. The flautas, burritos, combinations, they're all tasty. And the burritos are packed FULL of meat. The prices are very good, too. The only thing I would suggest: more Taco Tuesday options! I think the only special they have other than drinks is a $1 beef taco. We sorely miss going to Fred's Mexican Cantina in Laguna Niguel, which has lots of Taco Tuesday options. Having something like that at Guadalajara's would make this place even better!

  • Nicole A.

You get a good amount of food for the price. I ordered a steak quesadilla with rice on the side. I've never seen a side of rice so big. The quesadilla was loaded with cheese. [A tad too much] The place was pretty busy, which is a good sign for a restauarant [I think]. Our service was good despite the business. For the amount you pay and the amount of food you get this place is good.

I would never have thought to go here based on the outside appearance of the restaurant but I had heard from quite a few people that it was a great place for happy hour. What I like about this restaurant is that you can take advantage of the happy hour drink specials at your table vs. having to sit in the bar area. Margaritas are great -nice and strong. My favorite dish is the carnita's enchilada's. Beans and rice are just ok to me, I've had better. One less star because the service is inconsistent. Seems as though when we have a male waiter service is very slow and not as friendly.

Just had the most awesome food! Not only was the food wonderful but the margarita was deeeelishious! Strong and flavorful! Was greeted by Kim with a beautiful smile and sparkling personality. Staff was amazing. Our waiter, Freddie was wonderful! Personable, and super on point! The place was packed and we were never neglected! Our first time and definitely not our last! Wish I would have had a DD I would have enjoyed many a more margaritas! Highly recommend! Atmosphere, food, drinks, staff and overall experience rocked!

Someone once told me that fajitas are an anomaly in Mexico. The fajita is strictly an American invention. Can anyone validate or disprove that? Anyhow, I met up with Maria C. this past weekend to chat and Yelp. It's become a weekly thing, although me being sick this week, has put a major damper on all Yelp activities. I ordered the Crab Omelet. If you'd like to know what Maria C. ordered, please read her review...and don't forget to UFC it! I thought the Crab Omelet was perfect. The taste, accompaniments and price were all agreeable to me. However, I would be hard-pressed to describe this place as an authentic Mexican restaurant. I did not see anything on the menu that I would not be able to find in an East Coast Mexican-themed establishment...and that's saying a lot. I definitely should've given Maria a center cut of my omelet. I wasn't really thinking about where to cut. I was thinking about not giving her a piece that may have had remnants of my saliva on it though. Haha. I would absolutely recommend the Crab Omelet here and I would definitely come back just for that item. I left feeling very full and quite satisfied with my order. The chips and salsa were also fantastic. The chips still had the sheen of oil and were still warm. I can only assume that they fry their own tortilla chips here. The salsa was also good, mild, but good nonetheless. Hut 2, hut 3...

This place was not good at all.. The prices were decent. The service was slow for having a full staff. We ordered a chili verde plate and a chili relleno plate.. The chili verde was gross.. It had a tangy taste and the pork tasted like it was old.. The chili relleno was tasteless. The rice n beans were dry. I wouldn't come back.

While I have been a customer of the Lake Elsinore Guadalajara Grill since they first opened in the mid 1980s, I have not had the pleasure of going to their Temecula location, yet, anyway. Since both are owned by the same family, and I know the food in the Lake Elsinore location is very good and authentically Mexican, I have no qualms about recommending either location. "Guada," as many local call it, serves really good authentic Mexican dishes, and I have eaten here for more than twenty years, ever since they first opened, back in the 1980s. Their service is good, and on weekends they have live music. They have a full bar, too. Guadalajara Mexican Grill also has outside dining. The decor is colorfully done, Mexican. Most of their waiters have been here for several years, too. The owner's daughter is the chef. I highly recommend their "Sizzling Fajitas."

Went in on 3/16/2013. I had a shrimp and crab tostado. The shrimp was water logged frozen shrimp with no flavor what so ever the crab was just as bad. The lettuce was wet and beans had no flavor what so ever. I finally ask for some taco sauce and after a long wait it arrived and it also was wet and flavorless. My husband had a chicken taco and the chicken tasted like boiled chicken, plain boiled chicken. This was one of the worst lunches I have had in a very long time and it cost over 30. dollars! We will not go back or recommend it to any of our friends. We have lived in the area for many years and have many good Mexican restaurants to choose from.

OMG! Guady's is the bomb! Best authentic Mexican food in the TEMECULA Valley - there is also a location in Lake Elsinore (for those of you that live in the corona area). The margarita's are strong and the food is outstanding. My husband and I frequently order the Merida Burrito wet, mmmmm! Once you eat their food, you can't go back to the franchise type restaurants like El Torito or Don Jose's. The burritos are huge and if you are a small eater you might want to split it with someone. There was a point in time that we would sometimes go in there 5-7 times a week between lunch and dinner (we both work 1 block away). Every time we go in there I see someone I know. Sometimes on the weekend we go to the Lake Elsinore location so it's not so obvious that we eat there so much! Ha ha! Trust me if you don't try this place out, you are doing a disservice to your belly!

No need to think too much about what to order. Get the merida burrito (get it wet) and a cadillac margarita. You can't go wrong. The chips are great and the drinks are very strong. The people watching can't be beat. If you order fajitas and we are there, we will make fun of you. Fajitas, really?

Just about as good as it gets in Temecula. It's better than El Torito and The Bank (in Old Town). Temecula is the last place I'd go to eat Mexican food (or any food at that, unless it's a burger really). They do have GREAT service and can make a mean Margarita. The salsa is pretty good. A bit pricy ($12/plate) - but then again, they know there is only a couple Mexican restaurants in Temecula anyway, so people will pay it.

One of the best authentic Mexican food places i've ever been to hands down! The chips and salsa were great and so was the steak picado that I ordered. Drinks were great too! Not pricey at all. They even have a little band in there that walks around and plays at each table. This place has definitely been added to my favorites!

By far the best Mexican food and the strongest and tastiest Margaritas around! It's a Temecula gem and will undoubtedly be around for years to come. I have walked out of other places simply based on the quality of the chips and salsa....Guads chips and salsa keep me coming back for more!

It's not worth it. The food was horrible and tasted like watered down Americanized-Mexican food. And to top it off my daughter threw up from eating a cheese enchilada. And there margaritas are weak!!!!!!

The service here is always prompt and friendly. They have many employees that have been here for a long time so that right there says something. This Mexican food is so good and not like the chain style restaurants at all. The salsa is really good and flavorful. Not too spicy or too tomato-y. Must get there Sun-Thur for happy hour drink specials. $3 for a margarita...sign me up! Cheese enchiladas are great and the beans and rice are always perfect. The best item that I have had here though would have to be the beef fajitas. The vegetables are cooked perfectly and the onions are carmelized. So so so so good! Parking lot does get packed though so try to go before the rush. There are other businesses in the center so there are a few spots that you should not park in but even if you have to park in the far lot, this restaurant is worth it!

Very busy. Free appetizer with Yelp coupon. Excellent chips, avg salsa. Cheese quesadilla app was good. Margaritas were very strong but only average. Not good enough for a second. Carne asada burrito was ok. Nothing special. Good pricing. We might go back again if we don't find anything better close by.

I went here with my family and my best friend solely on the fact that we were born in Guadalajara. The staff is friendly and the meals are fairly priced. The tasteless food that they pass off as Mexican is a GIANT letdown, there is nothing that would distinguish this place from it's contemporaries: El Torito, On the Border... Even the mariachi group was a letdown when they didn't know a certain famous Vicente Fernández song.

Been going to Guadalajara Grill for a long time. This is a solid bet for good Mexican food at a great price in Temecula. The happy hour is until 7 pm weeknights and margaritas are only $3. Trust me, two of those and you will need a taxi. Don't make the mistake and order a cadillac or you will basically get the happy hour margarita plus a shot for $6.50. I do wish they had more beers on tap though. Service has alway been great here. But they know us and know how we like things. I think their rice and beans are some of the best tasting I have had. Good bets are the chile relleno, enchilada suisas, mexican pizza, crispy beef taco.

The food is great, the service can go either way. But we love coming here. And on my dads birthday they put a sombrero on his head and all sang to him. It was awesome.

Delicious food....great fun atmosphere....and STRONG margaritas (the original kind over ice are the strongest) I took away 1 star due to not as many vegetarian options on the menu...they have a few seafood items, but not too many. Everything was delicious! You MUST MUST MUST try the guacamole that comes with these amazing warm flour tortilla chips! Free chips & salsa is a major bonus too :) They also had a great Mariachi band that sang funny songs....Que Paso?....que paso? yo no say? Hasta lauego!

Best margarita I've had in a long time. Pork well-prepared, loved the bone in pork shank tacos and carnitas. Oops, now I'm ready to go back.

Finally a sit down place for Mexican! That might seem random to say but it seems that I live in the valley of the taco shop and not the Mexican restaurant. We just reached the one year mark since leaving San Diego and moving to Murrieta and this was the first sit down Mexican meal since...albeit kin to laziness I am sure. We went on a Sunday night around 6 and the place was packed. We only had about a 10 minute wait so it wasn't bad, even with the kiddos in tow. The place is nice inside and the small bar looked like it was happening too. We got seated in the sideways booths, why do they do that anyway? I was apprehensive at first since we were the only family with small children in the area...even though we only frequent family restaurants with our kids you never know who is going to be darting looks at you for your kids just being kids. That was not the case and in fact the table next to us we re very entertained by our kids and were super nice. Maybe we were just lucky? The food was fantastic. They have a good selection for the kids too, more than most Mexican restaurants. I had the Especiale de Casa Carnitas which comes with soup or salad, again another nice touch. The chicken tortilla soup I opted for was very good too. The wife had the 2 taco combo getting one carnitas and one fish taco. My girls had a 2 taquitos plate and a crispy taco plate with beef. My Carnitas came and was cubed rather than shredded which initially worried me but it was so tender inside and crunchy outside, just the way I like it, that I had no issues with it being cubed. The plate also comes with beans and rice, sliced jalapenos, sour cream, guacamole and pico de gallo. The beans were really good and the rice while not a stand out was good too. My wife's carnitas taco looked dry and she said it was. :( The fish taco was also a little "too" battered. but the quote was " I like it and as soon as I figure out what to order I am sure it will be great". Translation = It is a win. I tried my daughter's crispy beef taco and thought it was good too. I am stoked about Guadalajara grill. Mind you it is a different flavor than taco shop fare but when I am in the mood for one over the other I am really glad to have a solid option for it. It looks like a fun place to go to for a group too and the service was great.

I tried Guadalajara's for lunch. It was great. The food was very tasty, good service, reasonable prices (the lunch special was only 6 bucks!), large portions. I will be going back for sure.

We were driving back south from Big Bear and wanted some lunch. We randomly picked this place because the parking lot was decently full and Mexican food sounded like a good choice and we were hungry. HUNGRY. When we were seated a basket of chips and something that was supposed to be salsa was put in front of us straight off. We ate it. The salsa must have come from a jar and the chips were sub-par. Two of us ordered Bloody Marys, (there was a board at the entrance announcing their daily specials and brunch, plus the drinks were listed.) The Bloody Marys were not really introduced to vodka before being brought to our table. They were short and okay. There were a lot of accessories that came with each drink. Too many too fit in the small glass. An olive on a plastic sword skewer, lots of ice, a wedge of lime, and a stalk of celery that was literally twice the height of the glass! We had a good laugh over that. I ordered a burrito, for the life of me I can't remember what it was called. I do still have the heartburn to remind me of the meal which was about ten hours ago. I complain now, but I ate the whole damn thing. The atmosphere was ok. Clean, lots of staff. Mariachis wandering around which seemed a little odd since there isn't really enough room. The layout reminded us of a Coco's or Denny's. The only indication that it is a Mexican restaurant are the hand full of decorative parrots handing from the ceiling in the center of the dinning room. The staff was very nice and attentive. We won't go back, we live in San Diego, but are in the area often enough. They seem to have a regular base of clientele and that is a good thing.

We love the chips and salsa and yes the margaritas are as strong as reported here on yelp. The hubby always gets the Macho Burrito (and yes it is huge) and i get the Chili Verde Enchiladas. They are both very delicious. My kids always get the something from the kid menu and they seem happy with it as well. We have taken people here and they have sampled other entrees and I have heard nary a complaint. I've also had some of their combination plates and they are highly recommended as well. I would say there is a certain amount of authenticness here although I am no expert. Their tacos are not served in grocery store taco shells so that's a good sign, right? If one prefers the food a little "hotter" you can always slather on the salsa. I find the food flavorful here but I do spice things up once in a while with the freshly made house salsa. A plus is the mariachi band playing on Friday and Saturday nights, perfect with a strong margarita on ice. It can get quite busy in the evenings so we usually try to catch this place on an off night or hour. We have been here when it's busy and the service has always been fast and friendly. Overall a great place and reasonably priced with big portions. We always have leftovers as the portions are usually too big to consume in one sitting. Make sure you try this place first if you start thinking you want to try something like a chain Mexican restaurant. I assure you that this place is a hundred times better! The best Mexican restaurant I've been to in the area. My family and I have been going here for at least three years and it's our go-to place for fast, friendly service and great food and athmosphere. Woohoo! As good as it gets! Indeed.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
