Great place to eat. The food is nice and hot. The place is clean, and the staff is very friendly. Great experience.

I haven't tried anything except the Pad Kee Mao here and I have to say it's a bit too oily for my taste, and I think the oils masks the taste and the spice. I still like the fact that it's so close by to corporate office and I can never resist Thai food! :) If there was another Thai place though, I would probably go there. I have yet to try my ususals...basil friend rice and red curry!

The good thing is that this Thai place is within walking distance of work. The bad thing is that it's very close to a lot of people's work. So it was packed at lunch. We got one of the last empty tables. Service was extremely slow and we were kinda on a timetable for lunch. It did not work out well. I only saw one waitress and one guy at the register and also taking care of to go orders. We all ordered from the lunch special which came with rice, soup, and a slice of an orange. I had the pad khing sod with beef, which was a stir fry with onions, mushrooms, baby corn and carrots. It was slightly salty but filled with lots of beef. Portions were pretty big and I took about a third of my stir fry home. Paid the bill - they were able to split it amount multiple credit cards, and we were on our way. Probably won't come back at lunch during the weekdays but it might be fine for takeout or dinner.

Affordable lunch option with little to no waits (the turnover is quick!). Your main dish (try a noodle option!) comes with soup or salad, and rice. Just a typical Thai restaurant.

Chicken pad thai extremely dry, noodles overwhelming orange flavor and stuck in a huge ball. I was so hungry and disappointed... Wah. Grumpy face.

We ordered dinner portions here for lunch because we were going to share. We got a pineapple fried rice and red curry. We ordered them both with tofu and expected them to come with fried tofu but were slightly disappointed to find just raw tofu, so I guess we have to specify next time. We also ordered for both to be spicy and they were both very bland. So I don' t know whether this was because the waiter was in a rush to take our order (because he was working the counter and the tables) or because they just forgot, because the place was not very crowded for lunch time...

One of the best thai food in bay area. More of a lunch place. I really like their lunch options, wish they open on weekends.

The two times I've gotten take-out from here, it's been the same order: Pad Kee Mow (Drunken Noodles) w/ Beef, extra spicy - 3 1/2 stars - Almost made 4 stars, but I don't like the broccoli, zucchini, or green beans they throw in there, and they need to stop being stingy w/ the beef yelp.com/biz_photos/ladd… yelp.com/biz_photos/ladd… Yellow Curry w/ Chicken, extra spicy - 4 stars - Good quality chicken breast, and the potatoes haven't been undercooked like at some other Thai restaurants I've been to yelp.com/biz_photos/ladd… yelp.com/biz_photos/ladd… Brown Rice - 3 stars yelp.com/biz_photos/ladd… yelp.com/biz_photos/ladd… The service here is always friendly, and the level of spice is decent (not "Thai spicy", but enough for you to feel it) If you're close by, then it's a solid choice for take-out (or dine-in), but most of the Thai restaurants in SJ are good enough for you to not have to make the extra drive just to come here.... unless you're Muslim, because this is the only one that serves halal meat

Worse Thai food ever!! The only reason they are busy is because they cater to Qualcomm, Atmel and other companies' employees. I tried their veggie stir-fry and it had no taste and was loaded with large chunks of onions (the cheapest vegetable around). I also had their spring rolls (all dough and hardly any filling). Again, how expense can veggies be to fill a spring roll up. The spring rolls were soggy, greasy and lacked flavor. For Thai food, go somewhere else. BTW, the employees that work there are rude. I asked for sweet and sour and they gave me such a look as if I was asking for their right kidney!!!

Ate here two nights in a row while at a course at nearby hotel. That is a good enough recommendation, yes? Good thai if that's what you are in the mood for. Small but we got in for dinner walkup on the weekend.

The owner seems to be super nice but the food was subpar to what I have tried before from Thai food. Got the food to-go last night for a family dinner. There was not lines or waiting time really as many have mentioned but that's because I was ordering not in lunch time. So the good thing is that they have packed everything very nicely wrapping each bowl in a thin plastic so it would leak out. Here I can't complain. But again, the taste of curry was so-so, amount of meat was really a little, and selection of veggies was awkward at best - I have never seen yet potatoes with carry :). Anyway, wasnt' too bad, but wasn't good either. Maybe okay for lunch but I'll look for another place next time I need to get something for a dinner.

After checking in, my cousin mentioned that he too likes "ladda thai". Ugh... For those of us working in the area off first and metro, this is our closest Thai place. The menu and food is decent: a variety of curry, noddle, rice, and stir fry dishes. Vegetarian and seafood options are there, which does make this place stick out a bit from the other lunch time options. Also almost all of the lunch specials are less than $10 which makes it one of the more affordable spots in the area. The place is a bit cramped, and gets packed quickly. You will definitely see people peak inside and decide elsewhere. Fortunately on nice days there are a few exterior tables in the courtyard area. So far I've only had the curies: massuman and yellow. Last time I went, we ran the gamut with some getting the panang catfish, others the red curry (though after you add in the chili flakes the yellow looks red). If you are absolutely craving Thai and work in the area, it is worth heading towards.

I really don't know why this place doesn't have higher ratings. I thought the food was delicious! I came here for lunch one day and got a lunch special with a friend, we ordered the Pad Kra Pow and the Red Curry. I asked for both thai spicy, and they didn't disappoint. The food was super flavorful, and even their lunch soup was not bad. The prices were good and the portions were big, I was able to eat my meal again for dinner. There isn't much ambience, but I figure this is mostly a place you stop by for when you have a thai craving during the work week and it's super convenient and close by. Will definitely be frequenting this place when I am craving Thai for lunch.

The food here is very very good! But apparently the owners and employees never open this place on time. And it makes you wonder how does a business like this stay alive when they can't even open the doors on their own business days!! Very very disappointed

Time heals all wounds (or at least makes them less memorable). Went back today for lunch. Sat down at around 2pm, which is after the lunch rush, as a party of two. Friendly service. Ordered within a few minutes and delicious red chicken curry with brown rice arrived within another five. If you're interested in going, I'd recommend avoiding the main lunch rush. Food was as good as I remember, with the bonus this time of friendly and efficient service.

  • Jonathan N.

This place was alright. My coworkers and I ordered the Pad Thai, Pad Zee Ew, and one of the curries. The service was good, but the food wasn't anything special. I would come back if I was fiending for some Thai food.

Overview: (really 3 1/2 stars) I feel bad that this place has such bad reviews. The food is pretty good in my opinion, but I must agree that it's not the place to visit when you are in a hurry. I have waited for quite a while for lunch on a number of occasions. I'd say this place is comparable to the average Thai restaurant, so I give it 3 1/2 stars. It's not quite a 4. It's great for to-go orders, though! + Really Good Yellow and Green Curry Friendly Staff Reasonable Prices Great to-go packaging (keeps food hot and spill proof. Also, vented boxes to maintain crispy foods. AWESOME! - Relatively slow service (patience grasshopper...lol) What we ordered: - Yellow Curry - mild, creamy and quite tasty (4 stars) - Green Curry - a hint of spice and MY Fav! (4 stars) - Veggie spring rolls - typical fried spring rolls, not exactly anything to write home about - 2 1/2 stars

OK Thai food, but long lines, slow to turn tables which i find irritating at lunch. Better options near by are blue mango and Khung Thai at Stevens Creek

The food is actually pretty good, but damn am I annoyed at both the wait time, and the actual time you get your food from when they claim you will have it. Twice I've been here to dine-in for lunch. Each time, I'm waiting a minimum of 20 minutes to get my food. Not so so bad, and they're actually quite friendly, so... For the dine-in experience, I'd give it three stars (maybe slightly over three). But two other times now, I've ordered online through them, get a pick-up time of 20 minutes, only to show up a generous 25+ minutes later, to not have it ready. This isn't including the extra 5+ minutes of getting the attention of somebody who can even check my order (not just anybody who works there mind you; I've had somebody approach me, only to grunt and gesture towards somebody in the kitchen, then walk away from me). That somebody in the kitchen eventually comes out, only to tell me it'll be ready in a "few" minutes, which is revised to "fifteen" minutes once I ask for clarification. Yeah...nearly twenty minutes later I get my food. Annoyed, when I ask what point is there for me to even bother with their online ordering system, both times I'm told that they didn't get the "fax". They need to get their fax straight before I bother with that again.

I think place is a solid 3 but decided to boost it up to a 4 since the reviews for it aren't that good. Got green curry take out. They do have an online ordering option but I decided to just call in and place an order- ready in 10 minutes. Food was not bad. Lots of chicken, lots of bamboo shoots, good amount of spices. Over the phone I had placed an order saying "green curry, spicy" I guess he heard it has "green curry, ice tea" so I got a thai ice tea too haha. Not too bad! It's in the plaza connected to Club One right near the airport off the 87. Park in the back or in the next plaza parking structure. Poplar area for lunch and its small inside but you can always order to go and sit out in the public benches and tables around!

visited a friend and ordered food Pad See Ew - soggy noodles came with 2pcs of broccoli, 2 slices of carrots and few pcs of beef. without bias, it was lacking in flavor Pad Thai - ingredients aren't well distributed. noodles are still in clumps with 1 prawn and yes, that was it. it didn't taste anything like pad thai Spring Rolls - they looked huge, but, there's hardly anything inside. they were just ok Spicy Eggplant with Beef - again, lacking in flavor. came with huge slices of onion, few slices of eggplant we are guessing these were prepared in such a rush. the quality/taste: poor. unlikely to try again Total wait time: 1 hr and 45 mins

  • Stephanie B.

Maybe it's just 3.5 stars? But all in all, I like eating here so why not go for the 4! When you come here for dinner, around like 7:30 or 8PM, you'll easily get a table. I've actually tried dishes that I don't normally try. For some reason, I always feel adventurous at the restaurant, so I've ordered dishes that I've never tried before. Rad Na is pretty good! I liked the gravy sauce and the noodles were plenty. I would defs order this. And OMG did I fall in love with their pineapple red curry. So bomb. They give you so much. Could not finish the curry even if I wanted to. Instant food coma. Recommended if you're in the area.

This review is only in regards to their food delivery "to-go." My company orders Ladda's Thai Cuisine through Waiter.com . I ordered the Ginger Chicken lunch special. This dish comes with your choice of white rice or brown rice and also comes with a side of fruit. You can also make this dish non spicy, medium spicy or heavy spicy. I ordered this dish with brown rice, a side of fruit, and medium spicy. To my surpise it came with a side of salad and thought to myself, I guess they replaced the fruit with salad. Sure why not, it's not a big deal but the dressing on the salad was weak and runny. I did not get the brown rice I specified although it was clearly on the label that comes on the lunch when its delivered. It looked like a lot of rice until I found that they placed the HOT rice on top of a single slice of orange (found the fruit!). They placed the ginger chicken on aluminum foil that lined the bottom and some of the sides of the 3 serving styrofoam container. Such a pain to eat with a fork. Keep poking and ripping holes in the aluminum. In addition, I ordered the ginger chicken with medium spice. To make it spicy, they added that red chili that comes from a bottle. The correct way to spice a thai dish is to add slivered Thai green chilies to the dish while cooking it. All in all, would NOT order food "to-go" from this place. Not worth the disappointment. Please note that I have not tried this restaurant for "sit-in." Enjoy

Being that I fly out pretty often and this was nearby SJC airport, I decided to try it. I ordered the chicken eggplants for lunch and it was good. The flavor was there, a little spicy. The portion was pretty small, I was still hungry. I saw some other dishes people had and it looked more appetizing. I may try this place again.

Disliked pad Thai taste. Had lunch special and the tom yum soup only had cabbages in it. Service was slow too

Good value, friendly, and fast. I got take-out twice and saved some for lunch. In a nice complex that looks like it's basically a major Qualcomm office complex.

Noodles were dry. Ordered at 8:00 picked up 15 minutes later. Would not return. I've had better thai food at chain restaurants like thai spice

Today was my third time going to Ladda Thai. I love the convenient location and that you can order online. The first two times I have been here it's been pretty decent but today they put the ew in Pad See Ew. The noodles were all congealed together into one big clump. The consistency of the noodle, as you can imagine, was too chewy. The noodle dish was completely missing egg, which is one of the main ingredients. I ate about 1/4 of it and literally just tossed out the rest because it was inedible. Sad. I hate wasting food but trying to eat the rest of this is just not worth it. :(

Good food. Long wait times during lunch - ~20 min for table and 30 min to get the food.

I wouldn't recommend this restaurant for Thai food lovers. The quality of service and food are average at best. Came here for a team outing with our Partners and if I wasn't made to come here I wouldn't have opted to eat here ever...regardless of how close it is to work. I didn't have the Pad Thai, but from the looks of it, it looked mediocre. I ordered their Massaman, thought that their version would have Bell Peppers (like it said on the menu) but it didn't. And their broth was yellow instead of a red broth I'm more used to seeing. When the dish arrived, after everyone was already halfway finished with their dishes, the dish had potatoes instead of bell peppers and thought I was being served another curry and addressed it to our waitress. Instead of politely explaining to me that their version of Massaman was such, the waitress ended up arguing with me. Ugh, so rude. I'm sorry, but I assumed that if the menu states that a dish will come with bell peppers and no such mention of potatoes, then I'll be surprised if there are tons of potatoes and no bell peppers...just logic I suppose. Instead, she made me feel like a complete jerk by telling me that Massaman curry never comes with bell peppers and that they curry is suppose to be yellow. BLAH BLAH. Sorry, I'm not an expert Thai chef...I didn't know! Just had Massaman Curry a few other times at other Thai restaurants, I didn't mean to come off thinking that I was the authority on the matter. Just was baffled at the way she spoke to me... And, the make matters worst...the curry was simply mediocre. I highly doubt my bad experience had anything to do with the curry's flavor, because I've highly appraised great food over bad service...it just didn't do anything for me. It was a no frills meal. At least it wasn't so disgusting that I couldn't eat it. Their FBI dessert wasn't so bad, a deep fried banana with ice cream. It was rather yummy. Their Thai Iced Tea was a little too sweet for my taste, I didn't end up finishing it. Their appetizers were ok too, nothing spectacular. It definitely was way better than the main dish. Their calamari was nice and tender, so that was definitely the highlight of our days meal. Overall, would not recommend. If you do eat here, just stick with the appetizers & dessert in my opinion. #377

I saw Ladda Thai on the "Hot New Businesses" section and was excited to check it out today for lunch. It's in the same plaza as Sonoma Chicken Coop so we were familiar with the area. Their lunch specials are $7.95 which is standard with most places. We ordered the pad thai and the yellow curry. Let's start off with the good. The yellow curry with chicken was deeeeeeelish! The curry was a nice creamy consistency. It coats the inside of your mouth and the flavor was spot on. There were plenty of pieces of chicken and the potato was cut into perfectly sized pieces. They definitely don't overpower the dish with veggies. Meat and potatoes.. that's the way to make me happy haha. We ordered this medium spicy and it was more like mild. The pad thai was a huge disappointment. We also ordered it medium spicy but hoemaigawd I thought my mouth was on fire! The first bite was painful. I thought maybe it was just that one bite that had all the spices but I was wrong. With each bite I felt my mouth burning more and more. I would have mentioned this to our sever but I didn't like to type of noodles they used so there was no point in getting a different dish when I wouldn't enjoy it either way. The noodles they use are very rubbery and tough. This is my pet-peeve when it comes to pad thai noodles. I don't want to have to work harder than I should to eat my food. Overall, we couldn't taste anything but spicy rubbery noodles. There was no flavor.. just fire. I also ordered the thai iced tea which was a little to sweet for me. It was a good way to cool off my mouth, though! Service overall was excellent. Our server was very nice and did check on us a couple of times. A smile goes a long way and he definitely was welcoming. I highly recommend the yellow curry with chicken, but stay away from the pad thai. This is one of those places that is worth checking out but I would have to find a different dish other than the yellow curry to keep me coming back.

These folks are situated very close to both my work place and home. Though I worked right by their place for years, we never ever ventured in. That in itself should have been a clue. The other night, I decided to place an online order to get food delivered from Ladda Thai Cuisine on Skyport. It took 2+ hours for them to deliver. The delivery driver said he could not locate my place (it takes 6 to 8 min to walk to my place!) and obviously that was just a lame reason! Ok, now come to the food - I was foolish to get two orders of Roti Paratta - it was the most greasy thing I had ever eaten. The curries were abyssal. We literally could not eat the food and had to throw it down the drain. I can confidently say this is the worst Thai food I have eaten in my life.

When does this place even open? The sign the door says 2pm on sat and yelp says 2:30pm on sat. It's already 2:40 and this place is not even open. They need to fix their sign and update the opening time!!!

The food here is decent and the location is convenient since I work directly across the courtyard. However, I would not recommend coming here if you don't have the luxury of time since the service is slower than molasses. Waited almost 45 mins for my food on multiple occasions. Unacceptable. Probably because they are understaffed, but then again the venue is too small to housed an additional person anyway. I hardly go here, only if the service was faster I might consider being a regular. Oh well...

  • Lee X.

I've been here a lot since i work close by and have experienced the crap service and seen people walk out due to frustration. Over time, I've noticed is that service here is bad mostly because they don't have enough hands, not because the people are useless. i guess it's a family business trying to save money on labor so i won't completely ream them on this review. The food here is actually quite good for thai in this area, i usually get the fish curry or any of the stir fry with fish or tofu. If they were just able to accommodate the volume of customers at lunch time, they would get 4-5 stars. TIP: if you come here after 1:30, you'll get much better service.

The worst Thai restaurant that I've ever been to. We ordered a large size of Tom Yum Gong soup with the shrimps and an order of shrimp noodle (called Pep Thai or something). The size of the the soup isn't large at all, and for almost $10, it is way overpriced; not to mention the pot they use is ridiculously small with a big round thing in the middle, can barely put the spoon in to get the soup out. The noodle is way to salty, almost wanted to throw the entire order away after the first bite; we only found like a few shrimps in this order. I rather to get some MSG base soup than coming to this place.

GROSS! One of the worst Pad Thais I've ever had. Probably THE worst. The utensils and glasses were not clean. The service was not good. The ambiance was not pleasant. On top of that, they ripped me off when it came to my sides. The only reason I gave it 2 stars instead of 1 is because the portions are large. But it's a large portion of crappy food.

I ordered for delivery and never tried dine in. Delivery came about 1 hr 20 mins and i live within 4 miles. I ordered yellow curry, thai tea and pad thai. Food wasnt bad but Nothing special either. Of all the thai food i tasted this would be at the bottom of the list. At least the delivery guy was nice!

I came here for a late lunch to-go. Found this place using yelp and thought I'd try it. I had a good first impression of this place. It's new, nice, and clean. Sadly the food doesn't live up to the impression the place gives. Pad Se Ewe - Disgusting. Horrible. Gross. Not even edible! It was like someone poured half a bottle of fish sauce in the dish!!!! I couldn't even eat my food!!!! How can a restaurant mess up so badly?!? It sucks that I had this to-go and wasn't there to complain!!! PASS ON THIS PLACE! So disgusted by my order that I will never come back to try anything else.

M and I went for dinner. We had tom ka gai with chicken, red curry with catfish and pad ka prow with shrimp. All our dishes were ok, good tasting and the service polite and everything came out in a timely manner. The only thing was that they leave the front door open so i ate dinner in my jacket. it could be something so great if they kicked it up a notch because the thai restaurants in that area are few.

I've had only one to-go order here. I ordered the chicken salad and the chicken pad see ew for dinner the other night. The chicken salad was mostly all iceberg which sort of bothered me because I usually eat mixed greens. The dressing that it came with was not super appealing either. In fact, it had a weird creamy texture. I took one taste and decided to go to my own refrigerator and take out my own salad dressing. As far as the pad see ew was concerned, it was also a bit disappointing. The noodles were not the long fat flat noodles that I've seen in other restaurants. Instead, these noodles were chopped up into tiny segments. As an Asian person, I enjoy slurping long strips of stir fried noodles and when they are chopped up...it sort of takes that pleasure away from me. In all, it was a let-down since I've been to other Thai places and the fod here did not measure up in taste and satisfaction. I'm willing to chalk up this visit to growing pains to the grand opening and trying this place again but with reserved judgement.

Been here 3 times for lunch since work place was close by. So far so good. There always table available for 2-3 people. Food is descant. I ordered the lunch special most the time because I figured it would be faster than the other stuffs. So... yea, I don't have to wait too long for my food. Down side is that, it's hard to find parking space here.

    (3)
  • R. L.

Disgustingly slow! How can people on lunch break handle the lengthy wait times? Aren't you usually on a one hour lunch run? Just to get a table takes 30 mins. Placing order takes another 10. Meal delivered to table...another 25-30. I may not have been starving when I got here, but after all this wait, I'm HANGRY!!

  • Neil K.

This place is very hit and miss. Sometimes I go in there and the food is fantastic. Other times it's just ok or barely ok. Just a warning, if you come for lunch and arrive anytime after 1145am, the service can really suck. One lunch it took them 45 minutes just to bring out our food. And others who were waiting longer than us just walked out.

    (3)
  • Congema B.

If you could rate with zero stars, that's what I would use and that's what they deserve! The food was ok. The service however, was the worst I've ever seen in ANY restaurant. We took our friend here for his birthday and we got the waitress from hell. She didn't ask if we wanted drinks, never refilled our waters, took for ever and a day to take our order, took another year to bring our order out! We saw some customers going directly to the kitchen to pick up their order! We were ready to walk out without paying our bill because when we asked she yelled at us! I have never left without tipping the staff. I really think that this is the hardest job ever and usually give the 20% tip. But this time she didn't deserve a penny! The only reason they're in business is because of their location?

Its ok. nothing too special. I don't like their pineapple fried rice, it was a bit blank. Their egg rolls were ok.

This place was GOOD! We almost didn't go because I thought it might be closed for dinner since it's in a business plaza, but I'm so glad we went. When we first arrived, we were the only customers and I don't like that because you feel like your every move is being watched esp since it's a small place, but others trickled in soon after. We ordered calamari, chicken pad Thai, chicken curry, pineapple fried rice, and spicy catfish. the calamari was pleasantly different from most. It was more squid than batter. Each of us were satisfied with what we got. The dishes were very tasty. Prices were comparable to every other Thai place and Service was great. I'll be back!

Mt first review of this place wasn't very good. But since it's steps away from work. I gave it another try.. Actually a few times now. I had tried other items and they were actually much better than the disappointing Pad Thai.

this place should be name "a ladda NADA thai cuisine" if someone would have told me i would have had to wait 20 min for my table to be cleaned and be served water, i would have said...meh! but to have then waited 40 minutes for our lunch, EEK! not sure if this was just a one time thing and they were understaffed, but what a hot mess. we came after the lunch rush and i can't believe none of the other empty tables for bussed or cleaned. folks that came in after us either left or had the same experience. ugh. there were only two employees in the restaurant. that includes server, cashier and cook. WOAH! when we finally got our lunch, here's how it panned out: the phad thai my coworker ordered was way too sweet with no fresh herbs or peanuts, the phad see ewe i had was short on flavor, dry and had minimal eggs/meat/vegs. my other coworker did like his panang curry. we were in san jose for a business trip. overall, not coming back. instead, ill head next door to the italian place, that place is a thumbs up.

I was excited to try a new Thai place near my work, but unfortunately I am giving this place one star for not even being able to get seated. We came around noon on a weekday and the small place was packed. There were two open tables, but each table only seats two people, so the waiter directed us to wait. As more customers poured in, the restaurant had no system of greeting new customers, and the customers just stood around confused. There was not even a sign-in sheet to hold your place in line! It was chaotic and extremely confusing. I only saw two servers working. We waited for about 20-30 min, then I saw an open table outside and asked one of the servers if we could sit there. He said yes and gave us menus and said someone will be out to take our order. Of course, we waited 10-15 min and no one came out. Needless to say, we left and went somewhere else.

Halal meat is served here. Owner's are known Muslims. I Went here for dinner with a friend recently and I had the yellow chicken curry. My friend had the Red Curry. We also had the fried calamari for appetizers. Everything was very good. The curries are much larger than other thai places and is enough for 2 people. My only complaint is that the rice for 1 person is a very small amount and not enough, especially for the amount of curry they give you. But they did give me more rice at no extra charge. Fast and Friendly service. I will come back again to try other items on their menu.

The restaurant is a little bit small, not much capacity, and it's located in the business area, so usually takes 15 minutes wait during the lunch time. Their thai ice tea are decently good, pretty strong taste, and I also love their curry sauce and pad thai with crab meat, but all their portion are small.

Visited Ladda Thai last Saturday but we have to order to-go for Ramadan dinner at home. It is located at a new location near SJC Airport and there are so many free street and private parking. I did not expect the restaurant to be in a good neighborhood near corporate offices and Marriott hotel. The interior decor is nice and I was impressed with the great service. We had the fried rice, tom yam soup, chicken with cashew nuts and pad sew eu (fried flat noodles). The fried rice and tom yom was very good but the noodles was just ok and we had better on Bang San Thai in SF. We definitely want to try other dishes soon or after Ramadan. For Halal Thai restaurant, definitely a must try and highly recommended for great dishes and services.

The food was under seasoned but good overall. I had to almost suck an ice cube through the straw before I got a refill on my water. Small on inside but the soup is good.

For once I'm glad not to have checked Yelp (or at least the photos with curry dishes) before I ate here. Otherwise, I may not have eaten here. I ordered their Pad Prik Khing with chicken, spicy. It was delicious, good portion and right heat level. Their jasmine tea was delightfully, differently fragrant and I would've loved to have bought a few packs to go - but they didn't sell them and the tea bags appeared to be prepacked for the restaurant. The tea was served lukewarm which I guess was ok for immediate consumption; hot tea would however be preferable on a cold night. Seating wasn't a problem at dinner and the reviewers in the area could be right that this may be more of a lunch destination. If in the area, I would eat here again.

Decent Thai food. Lunch specials are good. Not much seating. Hat to sit outside at common tables. Parking is bad.

Ordered bunch of dishes and they were all good. The memorable one was the Pad See Ew (noodles) which had amazingly perfect chewiness and just the right sauce. How do you say 'al dente' in Thai? Rama Tofu was also very good although I like the one in Jasmine Thai better.

As other posters have mentioned, this is pretty much just a lunchtime place. But the waits can be very long for lunch... they have a tiny kitchen. The curries are quite tasty but pretty much just 'on par' for the Bay area. Its not worth coming here if you don't work in the area.

Tom yum soup was sweet. Red curry catfish was terrible. Never had my water refilled. And to top it off, they don't serve dessert for lunch. I have no idea why there is a line out the door.

We ordered delivery, and we loved every dish! Yellow curry and pineapple fried rice were particular favorites. We will definitely be returning!

Do not order delivery from them! Today, the woman answering phones was extremely rude, trying to tell me that it was my job to explain to her how to get to the location that I requested for my food to be delivered. She proceeded to yell at me over the phone about how I did not tip her and so she did not want to deliver. Her normal "delivery boy' was apparently not scheduled to start work until 4 yet they were accepting orders for delivery at 230. Horrible service.

Ok Thai food Good if you consider the choice of halal Thai places around bay area Not as spicy and hot as other Thai places though

Decent enough food except for the soup. What the H is up with the soup? Decent enough prices. Yes, the lunch-time wait can be a bear. A little inconsistent on the level of spiciness, but that's a minor point. For a workday lunch place it does the job just fine. Don't think I would ever come here on a weekend night, though.

The first time I went to Laddas it was at the Redwood City location (close to my husband's office). However, their shift to Santa Clara did not deter us...we now visit them at Santa Clara whenever we want to have good Thai food that is reasonably priced. The bonus is that the ambiance at Santa clara is better than it was at Redwood City. The owners are so friendly and we always have a good chat every time we go there.

This restaurant is close to work for me, so I end up eating here reasonably often. The food is decent for a Bay Area Thai restaurant. I've had many of their stir fry and curry dishes for lunch. The lunch time wait can be a bit long for a quick work-day lunch (15 minutes), but they also have outdoor seating which works well. The food is tasty, but not anything special. Lunch specials will run you about $9.00 including tax.

This is my favorite downtown-area Thai place. Everything is flavorful and fresh. We particularly like the masuman curry, pad see ewe, and yum tofu. They will make almost any dish vegetarian, and there are plenty of vegan choices. It's busy at lunch, but it's practically empty at dinner- a great spot for a quiet, affordable, delicious meal with easy parking.

A quick update: the service is better but it can be a little slow at times. The food was a little bland the last few times so I am not sure what is happening here but it wasn't for the better. -------------------------------------------- I walked downstairs and surprise, a new lunch place opened this week. I can't pass up a new place so I popped in for lunch. The menu is pretty standard Thai fair but the ingredients are fresh and the flavors were very good. I had Pad Kee Mao, the broccoli was fresh and crunchy and the bean sprouts still had body; it wasn't over cooked. Plus the sauce was light and the noodles were not sticky. The service on the other hand is still chaotic. I got a seat quickly but it was 30 min to get my lunch, that is a bit long for a lunch place. The server was polite but he was not as efficient as he could have been. The kitchen was slow too, not just service. It just opened yesterday so I hope that the slow service will smooth out as they get a routine. I will definitely give this place another try and I will update as needed.

This is a small quite place. Not too many people was there when we went there for dinner. We ordered green and red curry for beef and they are really good. The soup was average but enough for 2 people. However, the amount of rice is below expectation, you can order for more. The owner herself serves food and she is very friendly. I would recommend this restaurant.

I usually come in for dinner and at times, lunch. This restaurant has great food, prices, and service. I usually get green curry, pad see ew, chicken satay. It does get pretty busy during lunch time, but I've never had problems getting seated and the food came out in a pretty quick fasion. Love coming here with friends and just hanging out while eating delicious food.

I ordered the prawns and mushroom dish which was really good. Nice place, pretty clean. I was there off time, so couldn't tell how it is when it's filled.

The service in this place is very bad. I ordered something to go before going to the gym and when I came back from gym hoping to pick up my food, they haven't even started cooking my food yet. I have done this twice hoping to give them another chance but they did this twice to me. too bad! When I order something to go, I want to save time but instead, they wasted me time. I won't go back to this place again unless their service gets better. although their food tastes as good as other Thai restaurant.

mmmm green curry, absolute deliciousness. I come back every time for it, and every time after I devour it, I crave MORE! besides the green curry, I've had the pad see ew, pad thai, and chicken satay. All which were really flavorful and plentiful. They get really busy during the lunch hour, so come early! (tells you how great this place is). Had great service, despite being busy. no complains here!

I cannot believe I went here for lunch two days in a row! Today I ate here for lunch and brought my co-workers. This location is quite small and would recommend going with a max group of 4 people. We usually walk over to Sonoma Chicken Coop so it's nice to have something different. Yesterday I ordered the Pad Thai and today ordered beef with eggplant. They serve it with a good helping of white rice and side of soup. Lunch plates are about $7.95 with an option of brown rice for $1 more. The food is good and can be spicy. I heard they also serve Halal meat. The services is great and accommodated our group of 5. It did also take a while to get our food so I would probably order an appetizer next time. I would give this place about 3.5 stars and overall great spot for lunch.

yay!!! i found a new thai place!! came here on friday. i was trying to figure out what i wanted to eat while i watch jersey shore. i normally go to this thai place in east sj but getting on the 101 southbound during traffic didnt seem like fun so i looked up new places on yelp and found this one around the corner from our apt. the place is kinda hidden but it was pretty easy to find. i ordered yellow curry and pad thai. i must say 21 for both is pretty expensive since my other place does 2 items for 10 bucks. since i was really hungry it didnt matter. i must admit i was very skeptical but was pleasantly suprised with the food. it was very tasty. my bf said he didnt like thai but had no problem stealing my left overs so i took that as a good sign. i'm very much looking forward to trying new dshes at my new thai place!!

Was there for lunch and had their red curry with chicken lunch special. Halal too. Really enjoyed it. The Tom Yum soup is one of my favorites. Tom Kha (coconut milk) is also pretty good, but slightly rich. Clean place, with modern furniture and good portions.

Food is awful. Pad kee maw was plain noodles with a few limp vegetables, panang curry not much better. Canned baby corn and bamboo, slimy zucchini? no thanks. The Italian place next door was packed and this place was nearly empty, now I know why.

Been here a few times with friends already and usually end up sharing. and usually get the pad sew eu and green curry. the pad sew eu has a great texture and I love the basil and the bamboo shoots in the green curry. Their chicken satay is better than krung thai's. Had great service from the waiter. He came to check up on us a few times and constantly refilled our waters.

This is the same restaurant (same owner) as Ladda's Thai Cuisine in Redwood City. They've closed the RWC location and opened this one. I am so happy I found it since they did not leave a notice out and their RWC location is now a Mexican restaurant.

Just been there with my wife today. The ambiance and service is very nice. We ordered two dishes the Panang Curry w/chicken and Pad Ke Maw (flat noodles) w/beef. The quality of food was very decent. The Pad Ke Maw noodles was a little hard than usual. But still I would go there again in the future to try out their other dishes.
