I love Chipotle. I really do. We however get sub par service here. On multiple (3+ times) for an online order, past the time (10-15 mins) and they have yet to have it ready. The whole point of the app and online ordering is to avoid the line and waiting. Once it was even quicker to go through the line rather than waiting for them to recognize me at the register. The staff also don't know how to make a quesarito properly, which broke my husband's heart on multiple occasions. Haha. Of course we will keep coming here as it's by the house and we love it but it saddens me to expect inconsistent customer service from them.

So dig this, I had a hankering for Chipotle, this place is close by, I figured why not. The first sign this was not going to bode well for me, was the fact 3 employees are standing around while 1 overwhelmed person is warming tortillas, completing orders. Second sign, the meats and condiments were low. Third sign, the rightfully overwhelmed girl is on auto pilot. She's making a burrito bowl, which I assumed was for someone but I had to make sure. I clarified I requested a burrito - she tells me I asked for a bowl. Uh, no. I said burrito. So she warms a tortilla and dumps the bowl condiments (chicken, rice, & black beans) in the tortilla. I hate chipotle's rice and I hate beans. So at this point because she's overwhelmed and I feel bad for her I take the L. I've already decided a homeless person is going to eat well tonight and the next time I think I want Chipotle I'll revisit this post. But insult to injury: The cashier gives me a buy 1 get 1 free card. Son, you should be paying me for dealing with this and giving her a raise for not losing her shit while you and your other co-workers are chilling and she's doing all the work. I really hope that hardworking chipotle elf finds a new gig, soon. She deserves a team, for now she will be the Kobe of Chipotle on Folsom Blvd.

I'm giving this location 3 stars because although the food is always stellar, it's the tiniest Chipotle restaurant ever! It's uncomfortably small and always packed. The last time I phoned in an order and was told it'd be a 12 minute wait, when I got there, so many other people were also in the phone line, and it took a half hour to get my food while walk-in customerscame and went 3 times over. Was glad that we all got comped our meals, however. I noticed this location reducing their portion sizes, making their food seem pretty pricey. I haven't returned in while :/

I prefer this Chipotle over the downtown location. Slightly less crowded, slightly better parking, slightly fewer screw ups because of employees rushing to tackle a seemingly endless line of customers. Chipotle locations are as cookie-cutter as any fast-food, so to talk up one location over another would be blowing a lot of smoke unless there were some serious differences in food quality or service. I go here enough that it would be hypocritical for me to rate them any lower. After all, as fast foods go, this is by far the healthiest, freshest, most ethical of the bunch.

Chipotle is always busy! However the lines move fairly fast. Ambiance: same as other chipotles Decor: metals and wood. I like the stool bar ones with the huge countertops for seating. I always get the burrito bowl. I feel like this place gives less serving of everything compared to other places, but it's still ok. Not sure if it's this one or the taste of chipotle is just kind of regular now. It doesn't always hit the spot. But none the less it still lives up to its reputation. Recommend: less sodium please.. Next best thing to trying to eat healthy when you didn't meal prep and trying to be cost efficient (but clearly you got to say no rice, cheese, or sour cream... And they portion control the serving for you.. Lol)

Customer service is definitely not a strong value at this location.... This location was out of guacamole.... Like WTF?!?!? There were like ten employees and they were all just standing around. I'll never be back. FYI... They have rats!!!!!

Was just browsing on yelp and came across to this. While i was living in sacramento, this was my very first place i tried Chipotle :) i remembered getting the chicken burrito and stuffed it up with everything including guamole and alot of sour cream !

This East Sacramento Chipotle is my top favorite place to eat, and it's closer to my home! There are some good, ample of parking in this strip mall lot, so you can park anywhere you want. Their employees are very friendly and hospitality; no issues at all for me. The mobile app ordering process went flawless, and it made my order completely right! Now for the ordering process. I've ordered a burrito bowl (half chicken and half steak) meal with various toppings (brown rice, mild salsa, guacamole, etc.) Their cooking process have done alright although some steak cooking can be mixed if it's cooked and heated in medium or well done. Their food tasted very good and fresh, so I can eat the entire burrito bowl in no time! Overall, the East Sac Chipotle has done a terrific job for making some good, comfort foods that you can eat your own creations of burritos, burrito bowls, tacos, etc. that makes your mouth tasty.

I've been to this location a ton of times and I don't know why I keep coming back. There's always an issue with my order but I keep thinking it'll be better the next time. This is a chain for crying out loud...there are standards they have to live up to, after all. I've had quesadillas where the cheese clearly isn't melted at all, undercooked meat and awful corn salsa. Twice last month I was given FROZEN corn salsa. Do you know how disgusting and off putting it is to bite into a bowl or burrito with corn that's not defrosted thoroughly?! Yuck! It brings down the temperature of everything else and it's just unpleasant to bite into. The 2 stars are for the handful of employees who are really friendly.

I like chipotle, but this location sucks. They put hardly any meat on it and wayyy to much gross rice. Last time I went in was after work, about 8pm, asked for a bowl with 1/2 amt of rice and carnitas. The girl and the girl down the line were arguing about who was going to "pre-close", and the 1st girl put sofritas on it instead of carnitas and walked away mad at her coworker. I didn't complain, just told the girl she put on sofritas and I wanted carnitas-nicely. She looked at me, looked at the bowl, sighed, turned around and THREW the bowl into the garbage. Hard. Like I ruined her whole night. Told me next time to mention it before she puts it on.. Um I did, when she asked me which meat. Finished my bowl and walked off. They are always out of stuff too.

I love Chipotle! This one just always messes up on my order all the time. I don't know why, but it is what it is. Customer service is decent, I wish they had more people working and less people just walking around in the back to help the massive line flow they get to move faster. If you come here after 12...good luck getting in and out in less than 45 minutes. You can kiss that lunch break good bye!

I'm not surprise that every time I visit this Chiptole there's always new workers. I went in to get a burrito bowl, and OMG!!! The server barely gave me any meat, rice, or beans!! I was going to ask for more, but didn't want to get charge for extras. At other places my burrito bowl will last for 2-meals. The portion here is very small. I advise people to avoid this Chiptole. Servers are pretty rude too. They'll take your order, scoop small portion of meat/rice/beans, then talk to co-worker, then gets back to finish your food, and then talk some more.

Past 11 currently 11:04 and they are still not open....employees inside are hustling and just keep looking at the 10 people standing outside. As a business you should be open at opening time not hustling because your waited til last minute to get it together....

Literally the worst chipotle I've ever been to! There was 7 employees working and only one person making food while the others stood around and talked to each other. There was a line and none of the employees even thought to stop talking and help the customers who were waiting in line. Ordered our food at 8 pm on a Friday night and they put it to go without even asking if it was for here or to go even though they don't close for another 2 hours. The dining room was dirty and the food was cold and not of chipotles standard that I've had at every other chipotle I've been to. I will not be coming back to this chipotle ever again.

I'm sorry but I just placed an online order for a chicken salad yesterday with very few topping as I'm on a diet, they forgot to put my fajita veggies? How can you mess up on an order that's written down and you had an hour to get done? I'm sorry and this may seem harsh but it's not to me. You mess up my order then you obviously need some work there, I made it incredibly easy after all: lettuce, black beans, salsa and veggies and that was it!!! WTF is wrong with this place?

  • Robert A.

OK, yes it's small; yes, they're busy; yes they get packed. But they have figured out how to book it and still connect. Friendliest. Staff. Ever. I forgot I was at a Chipotle, as I got the kind of service one would expect at a neighborhood diner! Everyone was so nice! But don't think they're dilly-dallying back there! They all speak calmly, but their hands are fast! It's Chipotle; it is what it is and food-wise it's what I expect. But the service really should set this place apart from the MANY restaurants in this area. P.S.: They changed the iced tea before I could type this, and they still got the line down!

  • Katie F.

I've never had an issue with the food but the customer service sucks. Obviously not all of the employees are awful but a lot of them are. They seem to hate their jobs (which okay, it is a fast-food joint but still, don't show that to the customers!) and really don't care about getting your order right. They also seem to get irritated when they don't hear you correctly. For example: You say you want brown rice but they don't hear you because they are busy talking to a co-worker and put white rice instead. So you of course correct them and they get mad at you even though they are the one that heard wrong. So needless to say, I try to avoid this one if I can because I don't like to deal with the employees.

  • Elliott W.

I prefer this location over the EG one because the lines are shorter, and food is always ready. Staff is friendly and they've never messed up on food or prices. The only complaint is that parking is always full so sometimes you have to park in the Rite Aid parking nearby and walk over.

I love chipotle...heck...it's in my yelp nickname for crissakes...this chipotle though...was highly disappointing. I came on a Sunday night. Very slow...maybe 3 or 4 people in line. It was clear from the get-go that things were out of hand. Staff members didn't seem to be getting along, and worse yet, every single table had trash on it. I was not impressed. I give them two stars instead of one because (a) every restaurant can have a bad night...it happens, and (b) it's chipotle, which will always hold a warm space in my guacamole filled heart.

    (2)
  • Matt G.

Decent quality but inconsistent like most Chipotles. And the employees aren't very friendly but maybe that's just an east sac thing.

This place is awful, ridiculously slow, horrible customer service, and the cheese on my quesadilla wasn't melted, and there's hair on my girlfriends tacos.

Great service even in the middle of a crazy lunch hour. The line was super quick and they were very efficient. We were in and out in about 10 minutes. The first point of contact (the tortilla part) there was a chick that was pretty unfriendly but she did her job and was quick. Every other worker seems happy, friendly and did an excellent job. I like this one, I will be back probably every time I have to go to Office Depot down the street for work.

  • Amanda N.

I swear every time I come in this location I become disappointed once again. Never again will I come to this location. The line always looks disgusting and the people are rude. I came in and they were talking to one another while I was trying to order, not listening to my order after having to repeat myself several times. I only got rice and salsa and lettuce (they were OUT OF GUAC) and they didn't seem to care and charged me the full amount which seems ridiculous to me to have to pay 8.73 for salsa rice and lettuce and a bag of poorly made chips. This location is by far the worse, and I don't know why I keep coming back to this one. Never again.

Went to get our booooritos with the kiddos after trick or treating. Price was right of course but man when we all took a bite into our burritos the cilantro rice was undercooked and was crunchy in ever bite. I'm Chinese and I know my rice very well. I get that it was Halloween everybody were going for there $3 booooritos but still, you can't make that simple error of a undercooked rice. I can go on with salty chips but I'll stop. Lesson learned so I'm sticking to my usual Baja fresh and El novillero where chips and salsas are FREE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Ravi K.

People may not read reviews about chipotle but if you do, this is one of the worst i've been too. The food is worse than lukewarm, the staff are a bunch of bed wetters who don't give a fuck, and honestly it's the worse fucking garbage I've ever eaten. Don't go here. Go to Baja Fresh or even 7-11 because this shit at this location is the food equivalent of 9-11. I would call this a mini 9-11.

Quick and friendly service, and the food is always tasty, which is all you can really hope for at a Chipotle. Just a word of warning to anyone who likes Chipotle as a healthy alternative to fast food such as Taco Bell. It may be fresher food, and slightly less calories, but if you are at all concerned about sodium intake, Chipotle is just as bad as the rest. The average burrito has 2500 mg of sodium which is more than the recommended daily amount. Still so good though.

A Chipotle location less than 2 miles away from school? Cool! We had an hour in between classes and wanted to grab some grub for dinner. We were a little concerned about waiting times though as Chipotle is normally crazy busy around 5-6pm. As we pulled up to this location, to our surprise, there wasn't anyone in line. Weird. Maybe it was the location? In any case, we got our food in less than 5 minutes. World record. I used to work at a Chipotle location years ago. I remember when the manager pulled out a scale during my training and showed me exactly how much meat I should be giving each customer. To my surprise, it was a heaping spoonful. It was the perfect visual to make sure I wasn't cheating my customers. Many locations should practice that technique...including this one. The meat portion was ridiculously light although they were heavy with everything else. I'd prefer more protein please! Anyhoo, I always walk into a location not knowing which meat I want until I see the quality of what they have. The chicken and steak were completely overcooked. So...I stuck with barbacoa. Normally, if the steak has been sitting their awhile, it just keeps cooking and cooking until almost leather-like. No thanks. The lady who was working the cash register was also in charge of the cold section (i.e. salsa, sour cream, lettuce, wrapping burritos, etc.) She grabbed an already used glove behind the counter to fix my bowl. I wasn't too thrilled with that. Chipotle was all about keeping it clean...not saving money on gloves. The guac was watery...probably due to too much lime juice. All in all, I had a poor experience. 2 stars and I probably won't be making my way back to this location.

First time in this location and it's by far my favorite one ever!!! The staff is so friendly and sweet. And the meat was fresh and tasty. And they had carnitas!! Definitely left out of there with a smile on my face.

This new Chipotle is a welcome addition to this shopping center! Having said that, they still have some rust that needs polishing. What's working against them is that so many people know the Chipotle drill after visiting one of the other bazillion locations, so we know how much room for improvement there is in the service and staff. I came for dinner with Mom and BF around 7 on a Friday night, and the crowd was actually less than I expected. I ordered my usual, 3 crispy tacos with carnitas, fajita vegetables, pico de gallo and guacamole (with the BS upcharge). The line moved a bit slow but not unbearably so, and I grabbed a seat at their counter seating no problem. For such a tiny location, they manage to cram a considerable amount of seating inside. While the flavors were what I know and love from Chipotle, the tacos were messily assembled - each one was filled to a different capacity. One was about half full with ALL toppings, one was so full the guac had dumped out the side, and the third was in the middle. The carnitas were also barely warm, and while that could be chalked up to my choices of cold toppings, that's never been an issue for me at other locations. Consistency is key at nationwide chains. Mom and BF were behind me, and BF trailed a few minutes behind me, and Mom was a good 5 minutes behind him. BF's burrito was assembled a bit haphazardly by a friendly but inexperienced employee, and my mom had to wait for them to cook additional steak for her quesadilla, then of course wait for them to prepare it. I've never EVER EVER had to wait for meat to be cooked - Chipotle employees are usually machines, and crank the food out and never let poor time management get the better of them. While the food itself was good enough, the employees here are clearly undertrained. None of them moved particularly fast despite the dinner rush, and all seemed in a bit of a zombie-like haze. While I would return for a second chance with time, I'm glad to say this isn't my local Chipotle - the Pleasant Hill employees would leave this location in the dust.

Message to Chipotle Corporate: Please review the performance of this franchise. I love Chipotle (mostly thanks to the Fair Oaks Blvd store), but this place makes me question whether the company has standards for its franchise outlets. I'm updating my review after several more visits. The problems here go beyond working out some kinks. The service is bad because the employees aren't trained properly. Orders are regularly messed up, portions are out of whack...food is wasted. On a couple occasions the chicken was really fatty. Sometimes it's overlooked, other times it seems undercooked. Ingredients are sometimes lukewarm (when they don't run out) and that gets me wondering about safety. Just today, we watched as an employee working the line (handling food) turned around to handle several food trays then pulled her cell phone out of her back pocket to view a text or something. She then returned the phone to her pocket and went back to handling food, never changing gloves. And we know cell phones are covered in bacteria. Last straw. So much for having this store nearby...it's back to the one on Fair Oaks!

Great food but they are slower at this location. Be prepared to wait longer than you would at other Chipotle locations.

This review is coming from someone who's had several experiences at this location, and online ordering. I know chipotle has expectations, and so do customers. I was excited that this places opened close by but now it's back to the fair oaks location. They do not have any kind of customer service, making mistakes on every online order I've made, always out of an ingredient which is unacceptable. They're always slow and takes forever to get your food. Never going there again. Sorry chipotle but someone needs to train these employees.

First visit at Chipotle and my LAST. If you like eating garbage food then this is the place. The food was sloped together no flavor just terrible!! I will never return there again!!! Taco Bell has better tasting food. Just awful! The chips were loaded with salt. I do not know who the managers are or owners but they should get a grip on this establishment and see how poor the food quality is that is being served. My stomach was upset and hurt for days after eating there. It could be just this location since I never have been to others but definitely will never return!!

Was so exicited to see a new Mexican restaurant in the hood, but was sorely dissappointed. We walk in and right away notice the dirty tables. Not one was cleaned off. As far as I could make out, there were 9 employess, but only one was doing any kind of work. She was struggling by herself to fix the meals and take the orders. I noticed two employess apparently taking their breaks and eating their meals in the customer area. I noticed another male employee standing next to the counter talking loudly on his cell phone. No one was helping at the counter, the line is out the door. Is this a joke? Finally, later we get our food but it is cold, they have run out of Black beans and they don't have forks. Can you believe that, no forks.... Idiots, there is a Rite-Aid across the parking lot. Send someone to buy some. You have plenty of idle help. Where is the manager? If there was one, then it needs to be fired. I predict this poor excuse for a restaurant will not last long......

I really do like Chipotle. They are a step above Taco Bell and a step below the real authentic Mexican food places. The kind of place where you don't want to be so cheap to get fast food, but don't want to drop a lot of money on the real good stuff. We came to this Chipotle after driving up to Sacramento to visit family. A long day of working, and then driving I was starving. We decided to try this Chiptole. It's different on the inside then what I'm used to. There are two or three sets of long tables with stools surrounding them, and lights hanging right above the tables. The line, like most Chipotle restaurants, went fairly quick. I get what I normally get. A chicken burrito. The girl who heats up the tortillas was very friendly, asking how my day was with the biggest smile. All the ingredients looked good and fresh. So far so good. When it comes time to wrapping my burrito, the girl had some problems. I like big portions and when I normally come to Chipotle I do get a burrito stuffed to the max. She must of wrapped it a little too lightly because part of the filling fell right out. The woman standing next helped her right away, showing her how to fold it more tightly. The original girl apologized to me. Flavor wise the food was very good. I got the toppings I normally get. Chicken, cheese, cilantro lime rice, black beans, pico de gallo, corn, and this time I skipped the fajita vegetables, and got guacamole. The guacamole is awesome here. It's not chunky like I like it, but smooth and creamy. The chicken was good. It wasn't hot, nor cold. Just right in the middle All together, everything was great in the burrito. I think that with more time and practice this location can really flourish.

The time before this visit I ordered guacamole and had a quarter of the shell in my burrito bowl. I nearly choked on it. When I called to inform the manager she said "Oh that happens sometimes", no apology, no empathy. Today I visited Chipotle once again and ordered a kids quesadilla meal and added carnitas to the quesadilla. When I reached the register, my quesadilla had not been grilled and was wrapped in foil like a taco. I had to ask if the quesadillas come grilled. Then I had to also ask for the chips and kids drink that comes with the meal. When I reached Errika at the register she charged me $4.75 for a carnitas build your own meal. I told her thats not what I ordered. I told her I got the quesadilla meal ($3.75) with carnitas ($0.50 extra) which should total $4.25. She said "yeah so that totals to $4.75 plus tax" and didn't change what I was being charged. The line was long and I didn't want to continue to argue with her about my charges. So I paid and went home. I checked my receipt and i was overcharged. I tried calling the restaurant 3 times, and no one answered. The fourth call someone finally answered then I had to wait on hold for over 5 minutes for a manager. The manager was the only one with decent customer service skills. She apologized and refunded the overcharged amount. The service I received at the register today, was absolutely horrible. I shouldn't have to argue about what I ordered, especially when its written on the board above the cashiers head. I decided to give this chipotle another try after my last horrible visit, and this one was once again frustrating. I will not return to this location ever. I'll drive the extra 3 miles to the next location, in the case I want to try my chipotle luck again.

If you can go to any other Chipotle, I would! The staff here couldn't care less about their service, I know, I've worked in fast food. I LOVE Chipotle, its supposed to be a convenient healthy fast food option and I don't want people coming to this location to base their opinion off this one. I have come in at all hours, dinner. lunch and closing time and it never fails, terrible customer service. A few times I've been greeted by a loud shout announcing they are out of several things, and naturally, skimp on everything else to avoid making more of what they have that they are about to be out of and charge you for extra for things that you are asking for simply to fill the void. And, not to mention they think their little half glass wall prevents people from listening to them argue and talk about NOT making more food. Again, I love the food but there are two other locations (Fair Oaks! and midtown) within a stones throw of this one. Folsom never fails to disappoint, the staff just doesn't want to work.

Ok Chipotle, you've won me over. I am a fan. I was here yesterday with some friends for noms. Of course, I, running on finals studying brain, left my wallet here like the clueless person that I am. Today, after discovering that my wallet was missing and freaking out and exhausting all other possible options, I decided to call Chipotle on the off-chance that they happened to find my wallet. They did. Not only was my wallet there, but nothing had been stolen from it. Maybe it's because it's getting close to the holidays, but this experience has made this cynic believe a little more in the goodness of humanity. Chipotle was PACKED yesterday-- the line was weaving all the way around the place. Anyone could have easily taken my wallet. In fact, after I had surmised that I had probably left my wallet at Chipotle, I had little hope of recovering it (again, I must reiterate, I = cynic). But because I did get my wallet back, I thank you, Chipotle, and all your staff, and all the people who were patronizing this location yesternight and today. To show my gratitude, you can expect my continued patronage (I have also eaten here two days in row as a result of my misadventures). The other reason for the one star upgrade is because the staff here has really stepped up their game and they're no longer skimping on portions (at least when I've been here)! I watched one person today wrap two ginormous burritos like a boss. I would not have been able to do it without having the burrito explode or the tortilla rip. The line can still get atrocious here, but again, off-hours are they key! (Though I was here at 7pm on a Saturday and there was barely any line, so take from that what you will.) tl;dr: I think this Chipotle is definitely growing into its own. There's still a few snags here and there, but for the most part, I think it will suit me just fine. The staff is friendly (and helpful!) and they're being much more generous with their portions.

    (4)
  • Akir W.

Staff was mostly friendly. I feel like they kind of skimped on the meat a bit, had to ask for a little more. Lines were short, and the place was kept nice and clean.

  • Patrick M.

The short: It's Chipotle if you have been to one you have been to most of them. The long: Came in to get a quick lunch before the rush that all Chipotle locations get. When I got in the door the line was already wrapped around the side and across the front of the building. I was hungry so figured I may as well wait. As I stood in line behind the 20+ people in front of me I noticed there were 3 Chipotle staff members sitting at a table having some kind of pow wow meeting. Normally not a big deal but there was a line a mile long and 3 people working the counter with a line moving at a snails pace. You would think with a giant board that you can read while you are waiting would make ordering swift and smooth, but THINK AGAIN! I would bet to say 1 out of every 3 people in line got to the counter to order and had no idea what they wanted......... REALLY?!?!!? When I finally made it to the counter I placed my order and moved right on through. The food was good, but in comparison to other locations the portions were pretty small. I don't know if it is because they were busy and running low on product or if they normally give so little at this particular location. What works: Who doesn't love Chipotle? What to improve: Speed of service, portions are a little anemic at this location, and stop having staff sit in the dining area in plain sight of customers in the lunch rush

This Location is awful. Save yourself a trip and go to the one at Loehmanns. The staff don't know how to roll a burrito. The meat was cold and not trimmed (read chewy fatty parts). The rice was crunchy. The meal prep area was a mess. I have never had this experience at a Chipotle. The staff looked totally put out by their jobs. The one reason this place will stay in business is the college kids that have no transportation.

The Brief: It's a small location that will get busy when Sac State is back in session. I came in and had a good meal. They could use another umbrella outside and were a little skimpy on the beans. If you like reading: I came in here with my wife and young son. I walked up and ordered as usual and they weren't busy. Burrito bowl with my usual ingredients. I had to ask for the onions and peppers, not that big of a deal, when they put the beans on it was a pretty skimpy scoop but they were generous with the rice and meat so I didn't care that much. But the guacamole scoop, the most important scoop was a good portion. My complaint about the ordering is they would ask me what I wanted and then would have to re-ask me as if in that 2 second delay they would forget. "Sir, what salsa would you like?," ... "The corn salsa please, with cheese and guacamole." ... "Do you want hot salsa?" ... "No, only corn please." .... "Did you say sour cream?" ... "No, just cheese and guacamole please, nothing else." .... "Did you want lettuce? ... "No thanks," ..... "Sir you understand guacamole cost an extra $2, right?" ... "Yes I do" .... "Ok, we just want to make sure." I don't know if it's because they are new and want to make sure everything is correct but the exchange was a little annoying having to restate my order. Over all the food was as expected and I only took off one star because they are just starting out and I thin the staff needs to get in their groove before getting a 5 star from me. I am also sad this opened up a year after I graduated, or I may be happy because I would have been here at least once a week. Happy to have them in the neighborhood.

Love me some chipotle! Glad to have a new location in my neighborhood! Now that they have been open for some time, they know what they are doing... and can get you in and out of the restaurant in a jiffy. YUMMY FOOD...GET IN MY BELLY!

Went to this location first time. Food quality is consistent with all Chipotle, pleasant and yummy, not too bold as presented, filling and usually satisfying, at a good price. You can add salsas and hot sauce to spice things up. Decor at this locay is a lil different, and it is a smaller dining room, but sok. Patio close to busy road, howie.

Very loud, very long lines, 30 minute wait, mostly high school and college students, they're out of what I want. Average food for its restaurant category. I would only go if I had a coupon 2 for 1. 99 percent takeout. Good for the non- discriminating diner. But, they now have a vegan option, sofritas! They don't give many veggies in their veggie burrito. C'mon, it's a main ingredient, not a side dish! I always have to demand more veggies before they pass my burrito tortilla down the line. Disappointed.

When I went here they were pretty busy. I asked for a burrito bowl and the woman who was handling the cold section couldn't hear me. I asked for lettuce and she forgot so I said excuse me. Supposedly I said it in a "mean tone" so a guy from the back came and hugged her and said to me, "you need to treat our employees with respect. She was very hurt by your ruse comment." So I proceeded to say, "all I said was excuse me because she forgot the lettuce in my burrito bowl." Never coming back here; Chipotle needs to train their employees.

I love chipotle just like everyone here but this chipotle makes me sad. I go here atleast once a week because it's so close to my apartment but everytime i go there something always goes wrong.... They are either out of something, burn my quesadilla or charge me wrong. It seems like the staff cares and is trying but there doesn't seem to be a manager keeping things under control! Maybe staff needs a bit more training! Other than that love this chipotle and I will be coming back!

I love the chicken burrito bowl I also get two meals out of it, I love the brown rice and the those lime chips!!! So good!

I'm a landscaper and was starving! I walked into this Chipotle and was greeted by the most genuinely sweet young lady named Jamie. She was so friendly and welcoming! What a delight! Thank you Jamie for making my experience at this location so nice. It actually made my exhausting day energized. You are a very lovely person! Thank you!

This Chipotle has been open maybe two years. Was much anticipated at the time by the community. Have been there maybe four times. Would certainly be there much more often if I felt this location was up to the level of others in Sacramento. But it is not. In terms of the food, most Chipotles seem pretty much the same and this one is too (although one time they did serve us and the rice was basically not close to being completely cooked--they did redo, but also took a while). Biggest complaints that happen regularly are the place is pretty small with somewhat limited indoor seating. Also, the place never seems that clean especially would be nicer if the could wipe down the tables some which does not happen much and certainly lessens the eating experience. The lines seem pretty long and don't move that fast probably because it does not seem the place seems to operate at a pace that does not display any apparent sense of urgency. Positives include decent parking and staff being fairly friendly. But overall, not someplace I could really recommend.

Not much to say about Chipotle, it being on par with the other Chipotle locations I have been to. I've been here three or four times at different times of day and different days of the week. There's always been a line. I haven't been at the front of the line. The burritos tend to have inconsistent sizes and with an inconsistent ratio of ingredients. This seems different from the midtown location or the one off Alta Arden.I was behind a family who all ordered burritos. One guy's tortilla almost split, while the next burrito was way skimpy. I usually get a bowl instead of a burrito. This last time it was really soupy. When I asked for black beans a little off to the side, I think the gal gave me less than normal. The bicycle rack is not near the entrance. It's just off the sidewalk kinda in the bushes. There is pretty good night-time lighting near the entrance.

I like chipotle but the staff at this establishment needs to grow up- they are so busy talking to eachother no one cares about the customer-- I waited about a minute to get some salsa and when she did get it she left it so far back on the counter I has to reach over the counter to grab it- really? She just didn't seem to care- I won't be back

This location is always clean and the employees are friendly. There is a guy who works there who is there all the time, and has been with Chipotle for 11 years or something. Chipotle should give that guy a vacation or something. I always get the right ratio of rice to beans at this location, and that's really what's important in a burrito bowl, and in life. I'm not going to say that this is the best burrito in town, because I don't consider Chipotle to be in the same category as real Mexican food. Chipotle is what it is, and you love it. If you want to eat at a good, happy location, this one is it!

Chipotle is a favorite for my husband and I. This chipotle was the worst I've ever been to, because they were SO stingy with all the ingredients except for the rice! I got TWO scoops of rice. That's not what I want! Annoying.

Nice quiet Place, on Sunday afternoon. clean and welcoming customer service. I food was warm and delicious. The drink stations were neat and in working condition.

All the bad reviews are true! Hard to screw up chipotle, but the food isn't always hot and there is ALWAYS a super long wait no matter the time of day. They need to get their staffing in order because I've walked in, seen the long line and gone somewhere else multiple times. Place your order online in advance!

Beware of this location. This is the worst chipotle I've ever been to and I have visited so many since I enjoy their food. Workers are extremely rude and does not know how to treat other human beings. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else.

Always a fan of Chip, but unfortunately they were a little unorganized today and the chicken wasn't available. So I got the steak and it was rather chewy.

I asked for someone to clean area for me to sit at and I literally had to ask three times while 10 workers stood around talking and this included supervisor. I'm almost finished eating and area still not cleaned. Are you kidding me! Not even busy time!!

All I can say is YAY ITS FINALLY OPEN! I'm so happy to have this in my neighborhood since I am a huge Chipotle fan, especially the chips and Guac. I hate going to the one downtown or the one by Sac City. This is just down the street from my work and house and it is my boss's favorite (I know what I am getting him for Christmas hahaha) They were incredibly busy when I was there, since they first opened and all it is totally expected. I hope they stay this busy! Service was cheerful. Food was good. I can't wait to eat outside soon too. Lots of parking!

Come here from time to time for lunch. The thing I hate about this one are "some" of the employees. Basically the one that have to put meat on your burrito. I don't eat rice, so I always ask for extra chicken or steak. Once I say those words, they look at each other as if they will get beat for giving me extra by the CEO or whoever job it is to carry out such punishment. Remind you I am paying $2.85 extra on top of what the original price is. So please give me what "I'm paying for" without trying to make me feel like I just broke the biggest sin in history.

Nice staff and clean place. One big problem is they are very in organized! I don't know if that is the right word but the bottom line is that it has very slow service. So much that I usually go to Arden or the Fair Oaks Blvd one that are 3 times as far instead. So owner please get the staff trained on how to be efficient. I just go to Taco Bell across bfs street when in area. Seriously!

Good tacos except for cold corn tortillas. It's Chipotle, they have the chipotle standards established for the most part.

not usually impressed with the staff, kind of short and in a rush, as most locations. However today I had to wait 10min for steak and when I asked for comp guacamole and chips they were very apologetic and comped my borrito as well as guacamole and chips. hope they continue getting better. super happy to finally have a chipotle in our neighborhood.

I am repeatedly disappointed with this location. Twice I have received food that was way below lukewarm (Basically COLD). 90% of the time, the team has an attitude when you order your food. Many times they are out of some choices, because of a "shortage" or they "ran out". I have never had this issue at another location on so many occasions. Employees are fixing your food with gloves, yet they are using the same gloves to touch other things. What's the point of the glove then? Also this location is stingy on their portions. When you get a veggie bowl with guac for free you expect a full spoonful and not have to be charged "extra" when you ask for more. I will avoid this location, from now on.

I am a fan of Chipotle, but this location always has problems no matter when I come here..so I guess I should avoid it.

It's Chipotle. This one is a little smaller than most others, but they have a glass/sneeze guard that actually prevents people from poking at their selections over the glass. Because of its size, I can imagine lines out the door like Elk Grove's location. Decor is similar to the one on Sutterville with the big wooden wall and less warehouse-y.

I am a Chipolte faithful, I go at least twice a week. This new location on Folsom is really bad. I went there tonight and the were out of brown and white rice and the little fajita that was left was dry and looked like it had been sitting for way to long. I'm really disappointed with this location. This is the third time that I have gone there and they were out of some ingredients. The staff is not very friendly either. I love the location on Fair Oaks in Lohmans Plaza I just wish it was closer.

Been back here twice since first two bad visits. Third time back they committed same error of not having even started online order when I arrived to pick up. Fourth time back tonight I called in the order, which was ready when I arrived, but this time I get home and no meat in the meat burrito bowls I paid for AND when I call management to complain he tells me he will call me back after reviewing their line video to confirm whether I am being truthful. LMAO - what a joke! I don't know why I torture myself hoping this place will work out the kinks. You may want to avoid this location - who knows what else is going wrong there.

I don't really get all the hype about Chipotle. I've been there a few times and the line is always out the door. I find their burrito's to be bland and don't come close to a burrito from taqueria.

This location is my favorite because the workers here are very nice, plus the owner is a sweetheart, she treats me very well every time I go in! I always get a burrito bowl and they are SOOOOOO good! I highly recommend this location to everyone. Prices are pretty good, but get there is good time because the lines are LONG

Hurray for a new Chipotle in my hood! They just opened so there were definitely some growing pains. I'll update my review in the future. I ordered ahead online. Took a few minutes before I was acknowledged at the pick up area. Then I learned that the food wasn't ready yet. The manager (?) Was apologetic and they started working on my food right away. The order was slightly wrong (guac wasn't on the side as requested) but no biggie. The food was good. It's a small Chipotle, so it's nice that they have the large patio area. Will return.

Stingy with their portions! I've been twice since they opened. They are super reserved with what they put in burrito bowls. Very little rice, and very little meat. Food tastes like the typical Chipotle so expect same tasting food.

it's my favorite place to go for lunch. their burritos are the bomb. it's so big that i can eat for lunch and save for dinner. One time i got burritos feast for 2 days because they had buy one get one free on their anniversary. make sure you check them out on their aniversary=))

This Chipotle is pretty decent. The reason for the 2 stars is because the customer service. I come here all the time to eat because the location is very close to my work. However, the customer service varies on what days you come in. DO NOT COME IN ON A SATURDAY. I'm not picky about the amount I normally get with my burrito bowl, but this day is the only day that a particular worker gave me half a scoop of the "meat" I usually get. I get that it was busy, but c'mon. And I got like a few pieces of lettuce with my bowl. Really? I'm just saying, you guys need to learn how to portion.

  • Marie D.

Food was normal quality, but definitely slower than other locations I've been to. Hopefully, this is because it's a new location. Nice, new building, just speed up!

Ok where do I begin! Me and my coworkers decided to get chipotle for lunch. We faxed in our order and when we all got our food, all of our food was wrong we got probably 5 peaces of meat and I got avocado shaving in my bowl! I almost through up that's how disgusted I was! I understand it's lunch time and it can get busy but I've worked in the food Industry and that is unexceptable!!

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
