I love this place! It's my go-to spot for Sunday lunch. The owner is super friendly and they really keep the place clean. I usually order the breakfast burrito with no meat, veggie tostada, and veggie taco salad with guacamole and sour cream on the side. With vegetarian dishes, it's a must to not include these "cold" items inside your burrito or on your tostada because it ends up tasting cold as there is no meat to lock that heat in. There's plenty to choose from at the salsa bar; they're all delicious and glad they brought back the pico de gallo. Not sure why it went missing there a few times I've gone. If you like spicy, try their roasted jalapenos (yes, they offer it at their salsa bar) and chili oil bursting with spicy goodness (also at the salsa bar). The only drawback are the chips. I'm not sure if they fry it themselves -- and if they do -- they need to cook it longer, otherwise, it ends up either tasting stale or chewy or both. As an added bonus, they make fresh corn tortillas on the weekend. That's a must! Tip: If you want 10% off your meal (doesn't include alcohol), they have business cards up front near the register and if you turn it over, it gives you 10% off your entire meal. All you have to do is present it to the cashier and you can keep the card and use it over and over again.

Went there last weekend. The place looks clean. The food looks good, but does not deliver on taste. Most items were very bland. The salsa was good, and good thing, because the asada in my burrito needed serious help in the flavor department. My girlfriend also found her burrito and tacos also very bland. We also are not thrilled by the $25 price of this tasteless meal. For less money, you can get better flavor at Carolina's or Don Quixote, and probably a few other places in the Roseville area as well. VERDICT: Skip it!. It's not worth it. You can find better food elsewhere, in the area, for less money.

Located across from one of the Home Depots in Roseville at the end of a strip mall. I have visited three times in two years. Each time ordering smaller dishes in hopes of not getting ill. For the trips, I have tried a combo plate to a large burrito to the tacos. Each time the dishes have gotten progressively cooler than previous trip. Each trip has resulted in me using the restroom in a rush shortly after leaving. Service has gone from okay to just not sure how long before my order is ready. Last trip was about a half an hour. Good none at this time. Bad service from inattentive cooks and food that will get you sick. One star!

Worst food ever! Who ever heard of dumping cold, flavorless salsa on huevos ranchers??? Chicken quesadilla seemed to be missing cheese and similarly flavorless. And frankly for a $25 meal for two, I would expect real silverware.

I'm a regular here and the delicious food and great customer service are the reasons I keep coming back. Definitely recommend the tacos but their plates are also delicious. My favorite plate is the Bistec a la Mexicana. The fresh salsa bar is also bomb. You guys rock!

I am not really sure how this place has good reviews. I have tried this place a few times thinking it would get better.,, NOT. Prices are not Ok as everyone says. I just paid $15.00 for lunch for Camarones Almojo De Ajo, Had very little Garlic taste and was bland, I got rice and beans with it and no flavor. also got a couple burnt tortillas.

Went here today on lunch. I ordered the chile relleno ala carte. It was AMAZING. I had wished I ordered more than one. The staff were mostly super friendly.

Consistently Awesome!! Great menu. Friendly atmosphere and great food.

1 word...Carnitas!!! Holy moly...so freaking good! Definitely not a low calorie type of restaurant, but then again authentic Mexican restaurants usually aren't. The refried beans are also great and have a different taste because of the chorizo they put in them! Check them out... You won't be disappointed!

My husband and 2 of our kids went there for lunch. First thing I noticed was how hot it was inside. A little too warm to be comfy. The food was reasonably priced and the free chips and salsa was great. The green salsa was yummy!! I ordered the veggie taco and was full 2/3 of the way through. The kids meals came with more food than they could eat. My hubby got the steak tacos (street taco style). All was tasty. Will come back and try again.

HORRIBLE FOOD . I ordered one thing and got something completely different to top it off the food was cold. I'm not really the type to complain but this place was really bad!

My chicken quesadilla come with a ton of lettuce! The chicken was good though. Free chips and salsa bar. Meal with a coke was 10 bucks.

3 stars because it was OK. The food was OK. I ordered carnitas plate and although I expected it to be a bit greasy, they must have added oil. Then I ordered the shrimp cocktail as an appetizer... It came last. It wasn't very good either... Not sure what it needed but it didn't have much flavor. The service was OK. But for 2 adults and a child, $60 is a big bill. Especially considering that you walk up to the counter to order then refill your own drinks. Also, I ordered for my son after I paid, so the cashier put my change on the counter then she used it to pay for my sons bill. Rather than just typing in my change as the amount that I gave her she used a $5 and gave me 4 $1's but I had 2 sitting on the take, so I requested she trade the ones for a $5 and it took 5 mins of me trying to explain... She just kept saying "but your change is $4.36" I was frustrated and trying to tell her that if I gave her $1 then my change would be $5.26 ... She just stated until I said "never mind!!" Ahhh I don't know, but if you have somebody working your register, maybe they should know how to count! Other than that, the food was alright but definitely over priced. The michalada was decent

I've been very apprehensive about writing this review, but figured I must so the owners can see this and do something about it. I came in for dinner after reading several great reviews. Growing up in the Bay Area, I love Hispanic foods and always look for great authentic Mexican food so I decided to try El Parian. At first glance, it looks like a typical taqueria, it has a nice selection of items, some nice photos so you can figure out what you're ordering, lots of food choices from tacos to burritos, chimichangas and full dinner plates. I ordered the chili verde plate and a medium soda. I was given a number and went to sit down. The place is pretty much a self-serve where you pour your own soda at the machine, get your own salsa and so forth. I looked at all the tables and they are all just as dirty as the next. Crumbs on the tables, grease on the chairs, sauce and salt and pepper on the tables so I picked my poison and found the table that looked the least dirtiest, cleaned it off a bit with napkins on the table and sat down. The wait was less than five minutes when the food comes out. It comes out and the plate looks a little stale like the food has been out a bit, but it's typical for some places so I figured it's fine. I looked to my right and this is when things get ugly . . . the plastic container that holds the tortillas is just absolutely filthy. There is a dried old piece of lettuce on it, some dried sauce, and a piece of hair. Seriously, A PIECE OF HAIR on it! I took a picture of it right away (check out the photo I added to the Yelp album) and then brought it to the counter. The guy at the counter quickly apologized and then gave me a new top to cover the tortillas and apologized profusely. I told him it's fine as long as that stuff is not inside where the tortillas were. I've had my fair share of dirty restaurants, but wow. Anyways, I figured it's still cool and sat down to eat. The pork chili verde was pretty cold. You know how when you heat food in the microwave and the top is kind of still cold and the bottom of the plate is nice and warm and then you mix it up and then reheat it again? Well that's what it's like. It felt like someone reheated it the first time, but never bothered to reheat it again the second time to get everything hot. Instead, I get a cold upper layer and hot lower layer. Still, I pressed on cause I'm hungry and figured I'd just mix the chili verde around and it'll be fine. I've eaten microwaved food before, no biggie. The refried beans was fine. The rice was fine and I kept eating. I finally got to the guacamole and this is where I drew the line. . . scooping up the guacamole with my plastic fork (yes, you only get one fork and no spoons or knife) to put into my tortilla, the guacamole is pretty loose and runny, but that's not the problem. There was some sort of ground taco meat in the guacamole. There should not be any ground meat of any kind on this plate. It's a pork chili verde. There should not be beef in there, or in the beans, or in the rice, or lettuce and especially NOT in the guacamole! After that I just stopped eating. I've been to some pretty dirty restaurants in my life time and it happens. Some I've stomached because the food was fantastic and authentic, some were insanely busy and they couldn't clean fast enough, but El Parian doesn't have either of that. Their food is not that good. It isn't made fresh obviously, and there are no super long waiting lines. There are at least 4-5 people working and there are no long lines of customers waiting and bugging them. So what's the excuse to have such a nasty, dirty place? It doesn't take much to wipe a table down. It also doesn't take much to make sure you don't reuse the plastic tortilla covers from the previous customer before it's washed. And it definitely does not take much to make sure you don't put ground taco beef in guacamole. My conclusion? Whoever owns the place obviously is either not there or doesn't care enough. I hope they see this and make things right. Issues like these is what gets people sick when eating out. I'll never come back here and I hope this serves as a pointer to get things right, but there are too many better places to eat and not have to risk food poisoning.

El Parian is one of the only good authentic taquerias in the Roseville area. I grew up in the Bay Area, where taquerias not only out number every other cuisine but are all amazing, I have never had anything at El Parian that I didn't enjoy. Although I have tried various things on the menu, i usually keep it pretty standard and go for their burritos. The carne asada is my fave; always so flavorful and never fatty. For me a good taqueria needs to also have good salsa and El Parian does. They have a salsa bar set up with about 5 different salsas and I usually grab one of each. We try to go during happy hour, which isn't difficult to do since its from 5-8pm. The deals include $1.50 tacos and $6 pitchers of any draft beer!

    (4)
  • Josh N.

Stopped in for a quick bite. Ordered 2 street tacos , one with asada the other with pollo asado. The pollo asado was perfectly cooked and seasoned well. The asada was a little bland.

  • Mark L.

I've eaten here about 3 times and the food is great! Today I wanted something a little lighter so I ordered a taco salad and it was delicious. The employees are very friendly but the only complaint is it can be a little warm in the restaurant sometimes.

Authentic flavors in the Menudo. This is not easy to do and they nailed it. This is my new to to Mexican taqueria.

  • Christopher E.

Been there many times in the last year. Love the tacos. $2 steak tacos with onions and cilantro. Add lime juice from freshly sliced wedges and you are good to go. Freshly made salsas are available as well. Free chips and salsa with any purchase. Great little place close to home. Will definitely be back again and again.

Yet another average taqueria. Steak torta- 3.1 stars The bread was good on this one and there was a good portion of meat to where enough fell out so I could taste it with out anything else on it and it was plain. Steak super burrito- 3.5 stars The same plain meat but it was decent with all the other ingredients beside the absent, or not noticeable guacamole. Street taco- carnitas 4.2 stars and was some of the juiciest that I can remember. Street taco- Pastor 2.5 stars I didn't like it and it was greasy. Chips were good, salsa was average except for what ever the white one was, because I would eat that again with out even knowing what was in it. So if I came back it would be to try a carnitas Super B. and to get some of that white salsa?

    (3)
  • M S.

It was a decent burrito. Definitely made fresh. Really hot and really big too. I wish the ham was better quality. Deli meat-Boooo. The hash browns in the burrito could have been cooked longer for a nice crisp. But over all, it satisfied my craving for a breakfast burrito.

It's pretty hard to find good Mexican food in the Roseville/Rocklin area, but after one bite of a taco at El Parian, I knew I finally found my place. Their tacos are the real deal, like authentic little street tacos with onions, cilantro, and salsa. You can pretty much expect to pay double on Roseville or Rocklin (compared to the 'hood), but with food this good, I'm happy to. Bonus points for melon (cantaloupe) aguas frescas!

    (5)
  • Edwin N.

This is my favorite taqueria in the area. I especially love their wet burrito with any meat inside. I also love their all you can drink agua fresca fountain drinks.

  • Carolyn B.

I have been eating at this place off and on since 2006. My main reason is variety of food, drinks, and beers (try the the Michelada with Modelo, delicious!). The carnitas I had in my chimichinga was some of the best I have ever had! Oh and the crema salsa with jalapenos in the salsa bar is sublime!

  • Ashley G.

I've eaten here 2 times. I wasn't really impressed. But I thought well why not give them another chance. Second time i got the breakfast burrito and it wasn't good at all, what a waste of my $6.50. Hard to find good Mexican food in Roseville.

  • Ryan H.

So last week I decided to try El Parian as it was recommended to me by a friend. First impression was that it was very good. I had a al pastor chimichanga. I was impressed! So yesterday I decided to go back. I ordered the exact same thing as before......It was totally different. It was like I went to a different restaurant. The pastor was very fatty and chewy like eating rubber. The first time there was rice, cheese and meat. This time it was just meat and soggy peppers. Kinda bummed out because it was so good the first time.

  • Esther M.

Really love the fish taco place. 3 corn tacos filled with pieces of fresh snapper, lettuce and a great sauce, so juicy. Spanish rice, refried beans and some fresh salsa, finish off the plate. So good!

    (4)
  • Matt M.

It was OK. Had chicken fajitas. The meat, pepper and onion mix was good, the tortillas good, but the accompaniments were bland. Guacamole, no lime, no cilantro, it was flat, dull, lacking in sparkle. The refried beans, bland, dull, not enough salt. So all in all it was just food. If you want killer tacos go to Bar 101 in Roseville, $1 each on a Tuesday, they ARE the real deal. When you have tasted theirs, you know the yardstick to measure other Mexican food by.

Back around August 2012 my family took a gamble and went back to this place. I've noticed that they've taken down the old menu and partially replaced it with larger photos of their popular menu items. The salsa bar was still bare but presentable. At first I thought perhaps the owners have changed but it wasn't. Not having been here for months, it took awhile to figure out what I wanted to order. Once we've placed an order, the food came quickly and to my delightful surprise it was great! Besides the menu, on thing that I noticed right away was that they no longer had these two inattentive gals working behind the counter who liked to look people up and down as if to size us for something. New person was very attentive and cordial, she came and checked on us several times to see if things were alright. I like that alot! The food was delicious and we were soooooo happy that we have our old El Parian back!! We have been eating there at least once a week and even my wife, who was not a fan of Mexican food in general is now a complete convert!! She won't go near Chipotle burrito but she will gladly enjoy their Super Chicken Burrito.

I went there today for lunch with my wife. Decor is fine - normal strip mall taqueria. I do like the chairs. Everything seemed clean, so I was looking forward to a good meal. I ordered two chicken CRISPY tacos and my wife ordered a quesadilla. Took a while to get the food, but not a major deal. Decent salsa bar, but one of the salsa was just way too watery. However, when the food arrived, my CRISPY tacos were laying in an eight of an inch of water. They completely fell apart and definitely weren't crispy. Additionally, all of the sour cream/guac was smeared on the SIDE of the taco, not inside. It was simply a mess to eat. Just a mess. Quesadilla was a mess. It wasn't grilled or folded - it was just two tortillas with meat in between. It just looked like no one had any idea on how to create food that even looked edible. I will NOT be back.

  • Nancy P.

The food was pretty good, the service on the other hand not so good. I was pretty upset that I came by an hour before closing and they couldn't make several of the plates I ordered because they shut down the grill. If they are gonna shut down the grill then close at that time more than half of their menu was unavailable. I did like what I ordered but wish I could have tried what I really wanted. The service was pretty sad. The cashier lady was very cold and was eating while she was making other customers plates and another lady was also walking around with a mouth full too, pretty disappointed with the lack of professionalism. Oh well I guess....

A friend said this place has the best carnitas, across from Home Depot?! Wrong! For those who are new to my reviews, I judge a Mexican taqueria by their carnitas. I usually order a Super Carnitas Burrito, my Mexican standard. Okay, they were tasty. But it was soupy and made the burrito soggy! Even the texture was not quite right. They DICED the pork pieces. I prefer the "pulled pork" texture of carnitas. I try to eat it in the aluminum wrapper, but by the end, I had to eat it with a fork. No bueno. Minus another star when I saw the cutie with the low cut tee shirt use her hands to refill the chips from one bin to another! Sorry, that's not hygienic, a no no! With taquerias a dime a dozen, I will go back to my favorite place. BTW, the place is well lit, but has these old, rickety (and dirty) old hide seats. Either clean your old chairs or dim the lights. Ha. Not coming back.

This was the spot! Had the best carnita tacos in town. Ordered my usual today and it was different. The lean pork is no longer used, it's replaced with pork fats and skin with little meat. I ordered three tacos and had to threw away almost one taco worth of meat away. I mean why change something that was not broken.. Left hungry and unsatisfied.

  • Justin L.

Eh... Burritos were good. Some items tasted store bought. It was alright, but overpriced for the quality.

    (3)
  • Adam H.

Definitely lacked any sort of flavor. Very average Taqueria at best. Restaurant seemed clean and workers friendly

  • Ritchie B.

Roseville continues to impress me with the quality of ethnic food. This is a very solid Taqueria with 10 different meats to include lengua and tripas (+1 in my book). I had the taco plate that included 3 tacos, rice, and beans in addition to a hibiscus drink. Oh, they also had all you can eat chips and salsa, which is a nice touch. All the food was pretty tasty. The service was friendly and quick, but considering the place was almost empty at the time, I'd be surprised if it wasn't quick. My only ding would be it's a little pricy, but not so much that I wouldn't eat here again.

We just happened to stumble upon this taqueria while we were in the area and found that it has awesome food! They had a large menu, quick service, salsa bar and great flavored food. The only reason I wouldn't give them a 5 star is that the "kids burrito" that I ordered for my 2 yr old which most often in other restaurants comes with a small bean/cheese burrito and some rice came out with a burrito almost the size of my super burrito with no sides and the beans inside were quite spicy for a kid. Needless to say, he wouldn't eat it and ate more of my super burrito instead lol. Otherwise, I would highly recommend stopping into this taqueria to experience awesome Mexican food! We will definitively go back.

  • Gino P.

Average at best chips salsa ok, but the quesadilla we ordered had no cheese and the little cheese that was there not melted , took it back and this time just loaded the inside with jalapeños out of spite , won't be back anytime soon

So sad to see this place go downhill. It was once excellent, with great tacos and enchiladas. But our last visit and my current one is very disappointing. Rotting pico de gallo. YUCK! Burnt chorizo and carnitas with a lame excuse of "we have to prepare it that way" and a condescending smirk. I may not have the most sophisticated palate but I know when food is burnt. And I know that I have had delicious carnitas and chorizo at this very restaurant months ago. Skip this place!

Love the many selection! My go to is the torta sandwiches. Delicious! The bread is amazing. Fresh ingredients. My husband always gets a burrito. So filling!

Can I rate a ZERO STAR?? Holy cow, I just wasted $37.00 on this place, SUCKS! I ordered a quesadilla for my 15 year old daughter (in line with me) when it came, it was the size of a small corn tortillia, at least it was hot.. My wife order a chimichanga, the meat, rice and beans were cold.. I ordered the Chili Verde plate, ($10.00), the portion was the size of the meat was MAYBE 6", beans were COLD, rice was COLD, and the guacamole was "souper" runny - I know I spelled it like soup. The so called salad that they put on the plates looked like they sat in the sun all day, yellow/brown. What REALLY pisses me off is that I could have went to another place in the same parking lot that would have been a million times better. I told my wife that we should try this place since she like the menudo that I have got from here. Damn I was wrong, thanks you made me waste $37.00.. Do yourself a favor, DO NOT EAT HERE!!! BEWARE!

Best in town hands down. Not even up for debate. If you're on the fence about trying this restaurant out, don't think and just go. 5 stars.

3.5, almost 4. Solid Taqueria. $1.50 soft tacos (street tacos) during "happy hour" from 3-5 pm. Delish and authentic with onions, cilantro and salsa. I had the asada (beef) and pollo (chicken)-- very tasty and well prepared-- moist, just didn't make my mouth sing, despite its relative heat from the salsa. They also have lengua, al pastor, tripas, etc for their meat choices. Fast, friendly service.

  • Drew T.

I got the impression that this was a lesser refined Jalisco Grill. The food was good, but the service didn't match. The decor is decidedly south of the border, but the place was clean (no flies either). Free chips and salsa bar were nice and $3.50 for a glass of Franzia, now that's living. Best thing was that they were open on a national holiday when almost everyone else was closed.

    (3)
  • Erik S.

I've been coming here since they opened on and off. Very good food!! Free chips with salsa bar, fair prices as well, and the service is good. Tacos, burritos, quesadillas, all on par. If you dig mexican food, check it out.

I've had mostly decent experiences there. Nothing outstanding, but until tonight it's usually been OK. Tonight: Me: I'd like a combo plate please. Beans and rice and 2 crispy tacos with ground beef. Wife: I'll have the same thing, but with 2 enchiladas. When the food comes, my wife gets the combo plate, but I'm served a small plate with 2 tacos only. I mention to the server that I ordered a combo plate, and asked about the rice and beans. She leaves, then a gentleman comes over and says that I only ordered 2 tacos, and that he only charged me for the tacos. Hmm... I said that my wife asked for "the same thing" and she got rice and beans, so he must have heard me order them. He said no. Hmmm.... You seriously want to argue over rice and beans? Are we talking 25 cents here? I didn't feel up to arguing, so I let it go. Then I looked at my tacos and saw that there was about a half cup of water on the plate and the tacos were sitting it it. I ate one of them, barely - I was starving. But the second one just fell apart in my hands. I took it to the counter and they refunded the price of both tacos. That was nice, and they did not have to do that. In the end, I have to tell myself that that's what I get for going to a taqueria at 8:00, an hour before closing. With all the other choices (Jalisco being just a touchdown away), I'll probably not be going back any time soon.

Just had a milanesa torta 9asked for beans to be added) and it was dynamite. It isn't easy to find that around here, and I was glad I did. Standard taqueria fare, pretty consistently good.

  • Karen S.

When I worked down the street this was on rotation every once in awhile. ... and then I found a rock in my burrito. Yeah. A co-worker assured me it was probably in the beans that were put in my burrito. I find it hard to miss a rock though, I haven't been back since.

Very good Mexican restaurant. I always gat their chile verde tacos. Free chips and salsa bar. The nachos are very good as well. Everything is fresh here all the time.

We've been to El Parian four times, and each time we found the food to be excellent. The service is fast and courteous. It's not a fancy place; plastic utensils, paper cups, a few hand-made signs, but that kind of simplicity is reflected in the very reasonable prices of the fare. Sure, Chevys or On The Border are much snazzier, but all that fanciness costs. This place is the real deal. Authentic Mexican food with a broad menu. Where else can you get beef tongue in your taco? Happy hour here is a particularly good value. The Pico de Gallo, by the way, is fantastic.

Came here on a quest for a breakfast burrito. I feel like two stars is a little harsh at first glance, but if you read the descriptions of each star rating, it's spot on. Two stars = "Meh. I've experienced better", whereas three stars = "A-OK". They did have a vegetarian breakfast burrito offering, but it kind of lacked in the vegetable department. It had eggs and potatoes and cheese. It was fine and it'd do in a pinch, but I wouldn't rush back. They had a fairly impressive salsa bar, which I took full advantage of to dress up my otherwise uneventful burrito. My date got a breakfast burrito with Chorizo in it and he seemed to like it, although I heard the coffee wasn't great - we hit up Starbucks after.

I eat here at least once a week, this place rules. Their Al Pastor, Pollo Asado and chorizo are pretty awesome. Good chips and salsa too. Mostly I get their regular tacos, but I also order tortas from time to time. If you've never had a torta before, try one here because they make a good one. I can't speak to their burritos, but I'd imagine they'd be fine based on the quality of their meat. They're also fast. I'm able to get in and out of the place in just a few minutes. It helps on my busier work days.

Good in a pinch and if you've never had Mexican food in Mexico or SoCal. I would steer clear of their chicken as its bland...

Purely rating on the food this place is average. I ordered tacos and sopas. Compare to some hole in the wall places in Sacramento I was not impressed. If you are in the area want to cure your Mexiccan food cravings this would be the place. I can say I had better Mexican food. If you have a chance, Try El Novero in Sacramento or Los Jarritos on Broadway. They are comparable to this place if not better.

We discovered this place four years ago and it quickly became our favorite Mexican joint, their food is excellent. I recommend the Taco Plate as their rice and beans are some of the best I've ever tried. My only complaint is with the music, it is usually very bad Latin pop, played a bit too loud. Hasn't kept us away though. The service is quick and everyone there is very friendly. Try it, I'm sure you won't be disappointed!

One of my favorite places to go for lunch! I'm a big fan of their Machaca Plate. They are very fast and take their food serious. I have never been disappointed! The staff is super friendly and seem like they are very passionate about their restaurant. Definitely a must to check out!

Best Mexican Food in town, great find especially in Rocklin where it's near impossible to find quality ethnic food. The service is great, we've been back multiple times.

This is one of those authentic, strip-center Mexican restaurants, except it is fairly new. It is also bright and clean inside. Here are some of the good attributes: 1. Order at the counter, get your drink, a basket of chips and salsa from the salsa bar. Chances are the food will be on its way by the time you find a table and set down your order number marker. 2. Food is fresh and authentic, much like the food at El Azteca on Foothills Blvd. in Roseville. I think the service is a little friendlier at El Parian. 3. Moderate prices. Try it and I think you'll like it. Note: there are several flat screen TV's on the walls and they are almost always playing soccer.

I ordered a wet super burrito with carnitas, and it was HUGE! It was good... not amazing, but good. It was a bit on the salty side. I don't know why but I don't enjoy overly salted foods.

Yes, this is as good as it gets. If you want Mexican Food, you can't do any better. They have hands down the best carnitas taco I've ever had in my life. For 2bucks. The tamales are tender and meaty. The staff is very friendly, the service is amazingly quick and the prices are very good.

El Parian is a neighborhood staple of ours when we are in need of a trip to the nearby Home Depot. The food is just OK. The meat in all of the dishes is kind of laced with gristle, but the salsa helps to overcome that a bit. I am not a fan of their version of Mexican rice and beans. They taste too much like lard for me. However, my husband loves their carnitas and their salsa/veggie bar. I prefer Rudy's Taqueria up the road a bit to this place, but we all have to compromise sometimes when we go out to eat with our spouses.

I love Mexican food and since moving to the Roseville/Sac area from the Bay Area I have been greatly disappointed by the offerings... unitll I found El Parian. I am vegetarian... so my selection is a little limited but I know good Mexican food. This place rocks. Their veggie burritos rock. Their salsa bar is awesome! And it's free!!! To top it off, they have Dos XX Amber on draft :) I couldn't ask for more.

Food: Excellent Service: Fast Prices: For the amount of food you get they are AWESOME!!! It looks like your prototypical burrito place but their food is as good as it gets and it is always ready in minutes. Excellent salsa bar and free thin warm and crispy chips is also a bonus!

Looking for a great breakfast? GO HERE. Some of the best huevos rancheros this side of the border, and it's all fresh. They have fresh-squeezed OJ and carrot juice, too. It digs into the wallet a bit, but you get plenty of food for what you're shelling out. A meal can actually be split between two average sized adults. But for me, my hunger is satiated to the point that I won't be eating again for another 24 hours. Time for a nap.

Went for a breakfast burrito at the suggestion of yelp.com . Called in my order and burrito cost about $7 and change a pop, which is pretty pricy. This better be a good burrito. Burrito had lots of beans and rice, but where was the chorizo? A little bit of chorizo was tucked into the back of the burrito along with eggs and cheese. The burrito was good, but was disappointed with the lack of love and the short change on eggs, cheese and chorizo. I'd recommend Taqueria Rincon in Rocklin over Parian.

Here on business and this little place is very casual and family friendly. I ordered the fajitas and was pleasantly surprised at how well prepared it was. The chicken was juicy and didn't taste like it was just cooked without flavorings which is common. The beans were tasty too and different. Not the canned kind but a homemade version that had a different consistency. I did think it was a little high for Mexican food but overall, it was still in the decent range.

I am always looking for better Mexican food. I typically go to Lorenzos (Loomis, not Roseville), Cafe Delicias or Carmelitas but they are all a little pricey. Carolinas is cheaper but not as good. El Parian is my new favorite Mexican! Prices are reasonable and the food is amazing. I had the torta and was in love from the start!

Hands down our favorite Mexican resturant! The service is great. the staff is always SO friendly and attentive. The salsa bar is phenominal. We go in there about once a month or so and there has always been the same people working there. This last time i noticed they had a change in ownership and liquor lisence notice in the wondow. At first I got nervouse that i was going to walk in there and they would have changed a lot. The girl taking orders was SO sweet. i asked if I coould try Cabeza and she gave me some to try. She watched me taste it ans seemed as excited as I was when i said it was not what i expected and actually really good! She refilled my Horchata for no charge and was just so darn cute and nice that I told her I just loved her to pieces. i told my Boyfriend that she made our experience there even better than normal and I really didnt think it was possible. i wanted to squeeze her and take her home. lol! The food is really really good. VERY authentic mexican food. the prices are great! i usually order the Super Carne Asada Wet Burrito for like 8 bucks. Its HUGE and I end up saving the other half for later or the next day. Fish Tacos are good. Enchiladas are great. the only thing we didnt fancy too much was the Chili Rellenos. I thin kit's just because we were ecpecting one kind of sauce but it ended up just being enchilada sauce. Didnt taste bad persay, just wasnt what we expected. Over all, this is a great place for a group and kids. The bathrooms are clean the food is served quickly and i always walk out stuffed and happy!

I love the beans at El Parian! They are addictive and wonderful all at once. Since I moved from Ventura County I've struggled with the Mex food up here - El Parian is pretty close to the San Fernando Valley Mex I Love.

Great food, authentic flavors, quick service. Always a good sign when a mexican restaurant has many spanish speaking customers.

This is my favorite taqueria in the area not located in South Sac. If you have ever been to the La Fiesta/La Favorita chain around town basically the same menu, I think they ordered their board from the same vendor, but I think they do everything just a little bit better. I have yet to have something I dont like, from breakfast burritos to the torta to shrimp and fish tacos, even the menudo is good, which is a dish I am only moderately fond of. Someday I'll pony up the $20 for the 7 mares soup, which im sure will be fantastic too.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
