I have been coming here for my drinks ever since they opened. There are two locations, one in Rosemead and the other one is in Arcadia. I've tried many drinks at this location and I can honestly say that it really depends on the day and who makes the drinks; some days it's really good and there are days where it's ok. DRINKS: wide selection, variety of drinks --Fresh Brewed Classics (Jasmine Green Tea, Earl Grey Black Tea and Mountain Oolong Tea) $2.79 --Infused Ice Tea ( Purple Passion, Hello Honey, Pucker Plum, Honey Lemon, Lemon Drop, Concord Grape, Strawberry Red, Green Apple, Mandarin Orange, Blushing Peach, Mango Tango, Oahu Pineapple, Lychee Lovers, Blueberry Sky, Grapefruit, Orange Kumquat, Kumquat Lemon, Yogurt Cow, Mint, Star fruit, Golden Kiwi, Sassy Raspberry, Wintermelon Waltz) $3.29 --Royal Milk Tea (Red Sunset Thai Tea, Jasmine Green, Fresh Milk Jasmine Green Tea, Earl Grey Black, Fresh Milk Earl Grey Black Tea, Mountain Oolong, Fresh Milk Oolong Tea, Ghirardelli Caramel, Hello Honey, Grass Herb, Blushing Peach, Red Bean, Green Bean, Vanilla, Honeydew, Black Sesame, Go Bananas, Ghirardelli Chocolate, Molasses, Mocha Cappuccino, Strawberry Red, Fuchsia Taro, Wintermelon, Barley, Coconut Palm, Almond, Honey Peanut, Lavender, Rosebud, Minty Minty) $3.29 --Ice Crystals (Mango, Mango Yogurt, Blueberry Breeze, Strawberry Island, Strawberry Rose, Strawberry Yogurt, Green Mango, Pineapple, Pineapple Grapefruit, Mandarin Orange, Passion Fruit, Blushing Peach, Lychee Lovers, Kumquat Citrus, Green Apple, Yogurt Cow, Golden Kiwi, Tropical Summer, Concord Grape) $3.79 --Creamy Smoothies (Mango, Strawberry, Banana, Strawberry Banana, Mango Strawberry, Red Bean, Matcha, Red Bean Matcha, Sesame, Taro, Almond, Coconut, Mocha Cappuccino, Peanut, Chocolate, Green Bean) $3.79 --Frosted Signature Milky (+Honey Boba, +Honey Boba and Pudding, +Honey Boba and Coffee Jelly, +Honey Boba and Grass Jelly, +Honey Boba and Red Bean, +Honey Boba and Green Bean, +Honey Boba and Peanuts, +Honey Boba and Taro, +Chocolate and Grass Jelly, + Caramel and Grass Jelly, + Chocolate and Coffee Jelly, +Caramel and Coffee Jelly, +Strawberry and Pudding and Honey Boba, +Caramel and Pudding and Honey Boba, +Chocolate and Pudding and Honey Boba) $3.79 --Fresh Fruit Juices (Watermelon) $4.29 --Yogurt Lush (Mango, Strawberry, Passion Fruit, Pineapple, Peach, Blueberry, Orange, Banana and Lychee) $4.29 --Extras, Extras!! (Go Large, Honey Boba, Egg Pudding, Taro Pudding, Red Bean, Rainbow Jelly, Aloe Vera) $0.49 --Make it Hot!! (20 oz.) $0.49 SERVICE: staff is helpful, friendly and efficient, no complaints. LOCATION: The place is trendy. Located inside the same plaza as Walmart, GameStop, and Wells Fargo, etc. PARKING: no need to fight for parking spaces here!!! They have a stamp card; collect 10 stamps and you can get a free drink value up to $3.29 on the 11th drink. OVERALL: a good place to try out to see if it's for you.

TRIPLE BOBA!!! This is the best honey boba that I've had yet. And I've had good boba. Honey boba's drinks are so smooth and yummy I have one at least once a day. Sometimes twice xD. I take everyone who wants to meet up here and I've yet had a bad complaint. I always get earl milk tea with less ice and triple the boba. Yes triple. So yummy. You must visit this place I promise no matter what you get you won't be disappointed.

My favorite boba place of all time because the boba is always fresh!! Warm, soft, and chewy, what more could I ask for? The honey taste is rich and the teas have a wonderful aroma. With any of their drinks, I usually ask for half the sweetness, less ice, and extra honeyboba. This is to make sure the boba is always the star player in the drink, so irresistible!! Even though this location is further away than Arcadia, I take the time to do get here because Arcadia's honeyboba is always stale! Also, this location always has a Pixar or other cute cartoon movie playing. I'm always happy to stay a while! Though I would recommend that they turn up the AC a bit during summertime because it gets quite warm sometimes.

I fucken love this place ! it's just really good . I've tried a few drinks and so far my favorite ones are earl gray with bobba and the chocolate almond milk tea or something like that , I get it with bobba and pudding . It's so good !. The place is clean, & people are friendly ! It's bright like target which makes me happy and idk it's just a good place to go hangout and talk or whatever (; my friend and I took subway in there and they didn't tell us anything ! Yay outside food is allowed

So.... I've only been here once, but that one visit was 5 stars for me! I definitely plan to go back, so I'll let you know if things change. I ordered the frosted signature milky with grass jelly & boba. I didn't read the other reviews but I'm sure others compared this to Half & Half for it's flavor and bucket cup. I appreciate the girl advising me to shake the cup before drinking to mix it all up. However, the layers and colors of ingredients sure were beautiful before doing so, and still beautiful after. I enjoyed the lightness of the drink, it wasn't overly sugary like the usual milk teas out there, the grass jelly made me happy and was reminiscent of childhood and the boba was very soft. It was a delicious drink for the drive home to San Diego...and I wished I had a large cup but I'd feel super guilty. Moderation!

It is quick and very easy. The staff is also friendly and the take your order quick. The line is also short and I leave as a happy customer

Came here on a whim with 2 other friends. I was surprised but they had wintermelon. It's a flavor that a lot of places don't have. I ordered wintermelon tea with lychee jelly. Unfortunately I did not try their boba. I liked the wintermelon tea. It had a strong flavor of it and it wasn't overly sweet. The lychee jelly was okay. I could have done without. Next time, I'll test their boba to see if it's really good. This location is close to me and there's tons of parking. It's in the same lot as Walmart. I would definitely come back here again and would recommend their wintermelon. Another reviewer brought this to my attention: the drive through is for the panda express and not for Honeyboba. Thanks!

Nothing like the other boba shops in the SGV. They make their drinks in the back (so does half and half). They have better drinks then half and half in my opinion and their price is cheaper than Tea Station. So why the three stars one may ask? The wait time is pretty long for a boba shop. It's a hit or miss on the wait time. I went there at 2 pm on a Sunday and the wait was like 5 minutes. I went there at 3 pm on a Tuesday and there was a sign that said 10-15 minutes at the register, but it was closer to 25 minutes for a boba. My friend and I ordered our drinks and then wandered over to Panda Express because it was ridiculously hot in HoneyBoba. Later, when I looked at their thermostat, it said it was 88 degrees inside the store; although, their ac was set at 67 or 68. The stores next to theirs was really cool as we walked to the end to Panda, so don't know if their ac was broken that day or what. There was only two guys making drinks that day and one guy at the register. There were three girls making drinks and one more outside at the register on Sunday when we got our drinks really quick. There's no fancy decorations or books to read or card games to play at this place. They do have a lot of TVs that seems to always be playing the same movie. My friend usually comes here and gets me the drinks and they are pretty solid, so while I started this review, giving them 3 stars, I'm going to bump it up to four for the decent price and good taste. They still losing out on that horrible wait time and the hot Hot temperature inside the store.

Boba places remind me of coffee houses in a way. Sometimes we go just for drinks, sometimes the vibe, or to hang out and feel comfortable. While I think coffee houses have to cater a lot harder for that vibe, boba places should at least try. Honeyboba does not. It's clean but a little sterile and...feels empty, cold and impersonal. The tall young fellow behind the counter was the opposite! Warm and cheery, he was delighted to suggest my first boba. Ha, I forget what he recommended, but it was good. Sweet, cold milk with little chewy things. I totally get the boba thing, just don't feel connected or drawn to Honeyboba.

Love love love the yogurt lush!!!!!! If you love yogurt! Honey boba the only place that has a real yogurt to mix with the drinks! The other boba places use calipico or yakult what they call yogurt which is FAA KE ! Honey boba is real !!!

So my first time trying this place I ordered a almond milk tea (which is a pretty standard drink for tea places) and my boyfriend had a lemon iced tea, they were both the worst teas. They both had tasted as if you were drinking perfume. We ended up throwing them away! My 2nd time was last night and as much as I tried to avoid going here it was the only place on the way home, this time I ordered a taro smoothie (also a standard drink) with boba, which was pretty good. I was thrown off with the maple syrup taste of the boba but got used to it as I kept drinking. The wait I was expecting because it's pretty busy there.

Got rose milk tea and it was delish! The worker Thuy was such a sweetheart and her happy working mood made my day : )

One star for service, I am a regular customer, have been coming here since Honey Boba first opened in Rosemead and I have to say, when they tell you it's a 30 MINUTE WAIT for a f****** drink, that's just ridiculous, like what exactly are the staff doing that the wait is up to 30 minutes?! You are just making drinks!! Working at Panera Bread previously, we have 5 minutes to get an order out. If you are taking more than 5 minutes to make a damn drink, you need to get your staff together and set a goal. Not even Starbucks makes you wait 30 minutes. I'm sorry Honey Boba, you have really disappointed me. Hire more staff to help out, with only 3-4 people working you're going to have a lot of disappointed customers. You guys know it's getting hot and business will get busy. I cannot sit and wait half an hour for ONE drink.

  • Maria C.

I love this place, love the drinks and the place itself. It is far away from where I live but I still manage to come just to enjoy my boba.

    (4)
  • Emily L.

Drinks are good but the service sucks ass -_- called three times to make a phone order but they didn't pick up any times and once I got there the workers were literally doing nothing. they should hire people who actually do their jobs. but thumbs up on the drinks : -)

    (3)
  • Pin K.

I honestly am not a fan of Honeyboba because their drinks do not taste that good to me and I get tired of it easily, due to their drink sizes. The last time I went there, the worker was not that helpful and had major attitude. That was a long time ago so not sure if she still works there. Not my first, second, or even third choice to go get boba.

  • Derek S.

Really good. I have never had honey boba anywhere else in my life until I tried this place with my wife I have nothing else to base it on but all I can say is I love it I go there at least every other day with my wife being that we live a few blocks away awesome drinks

    (4)
  • Kate T.

2.5 stars really. Do not get the sesame milk tea. It tastes like uncooked dough in milk. Gross! No taste of tea at all. I've also had the earl grey milk tea and the frosty milk with various toppings. They were enjoyable and okay but nothing exceptional. The honey boba's average. The drinks are way too sweet, even at half sugar. There's always a line here and even if there wasn't, they still take forever to get you your drink. However, the cashiers are nice and patient when you're ordering. The location is also very convenient. Other than good staff and location, I think this brand gets too much hype. There's a slew of places on Valley blvd that serve better drinks at better prices.

Decided to check this place out after a shopping trip at the Wal-Mart next door. The interior was pretty cool with the lighting and all (I went at night, not so sure about what it looks like in the day) and the high top seats were really cute! The cashier was really nice and I got a regular iced milky with honey boba and pudding. Not quite sure where the honey taste is with the boba but the pudding was pretty good. Overall I'll stop by when I'm in the area but you'll probably catch me at Half and Half in the mean time.

  • Garen A.

By far my favorite boba place yet! I love the variety and the taste of the tapioca balls here. The menu has a little bit of everything, but lately the infused teas have been really hitting the spot for me! Try the thai tea, or the infused passion fruit for something a bit different. Or do what I do and just point at something - makes life a bit more fun!

  • Jasmine T.

This place can have a long wait, I don't think they are too well staffed to handle the heavy flow of customers. Almost everybody was waiting for their drinks, which made the atmosphere quite disgruntled. I waited 35 minutes for a guava green tea that was decent, but it wasn't that good that it made up for the wait. Very different vibe than most tea shops I go to, almost felt like a busy Jamba Juice if you know what I mean.

  • Cynthia H.

Honey Boba... For the most part - you always get my drink straight on... However, this time around- I was compelled to write a review and let you know you ought to be more careful. There was a pretty decent size metal shaving in my drink. Luckily I caught it in my mouth... I hate to think what could've happened if it was in my child's drink...

  • Jessica L.

So far this has been the best I have tasted. My boyfriend even love it. There are so many options. They also give you a stamp card which is nice. So far customer service it good. Have been here about 3 times.

  • Catgirltoo C.

The girl was nice but hadn't tried what I was interested in. It's a hidden place away from big shopping centers and I'm not sure if the walmart is enough to bring in a crowd here. I tried the rose milk tea. Wow!!! It was better than I expected. I got the full flavor of the rose and full sweetness of the tea. If I'm around, I'm totally hitting this spot again! Next time I'm going for the lavander. :0)

    (5)
  • Annie C.

Their drinks are on the sweeter side, but there is a wide selection of flavors!!!!! Mango green tea with boba is what I always get! Always craving it whenever I am in the area!

    (4)
  • Polly S.

Some of the best boba I've ever had! Sooo many options it's great and their customer service is superb , the girl helping us explained everything in detail and was very helpful.

Treated very poorly by staff - Ashley (Won't smile even if you paid her)

    (1)
  • Serene T.

I like the iced drinks here but the service is extremely slow! It gets crowded in the afternoon and the line can be pretty long. There's only one person at the counter and she has to take care of too many things. I've been here when it's not crowded and it's still slow. They need to figure out a way to be quicker.

  • Ann G.

Just drove 420 miles from SF to get Honey Boba. We love this place. My favorite is the iced coffee with double boba. It's so worth searching out real boba. And the honey boba is our favorite.

  • Larry L.

Honey Boba is about as A-Ok of a boba place as any. Unfortunately, in SGV, decent doesn't draw crowds in such a super competitive neighborhood. Honey Boba is a straight copy of Half & Half. There is no doubt about that. What would be difficult is to recommend HB over H&H. From their specialty drinks to the size of the cups, it's a nice "homage". Different are more flavor choices (fruit wise) and acceptance credit cards via Square (something H&H needs to get with). Despite being called " honey boba", their tapioca pearls aren't really that sweet. In fact, the drink that I had (their signature milk tea) was pretty tough to chew. Milk tea was OK. Overall, meh. Decor is weird. Its like a club inside at night. Huge flat screens line the wall in a soft glow neon miasma. All this fanciness might just distract you from a mediocre drink.

  • Nathan R.

Not bad. I had the grapefruit infused Iced Tea w honey boba... Try the mango yogurt lush that one is really good. Cool staff doing the best they can do to serve everyone quickly. Thanks!

Their tea is alright but I won't be back here. My friend tried ordering over the phone with no avail. I went in there with only one other customer in front of me and the phone is still going off. There's a girl working and she wipes down a counter and goes to the back. Wtf? I guess you can't even place an order over the phone cause they don't give a damn? When it was my turn to order, I asked the employee why wasn't he picking up the phone which rung two times when I was there. He said, I can't pick up the phone when I'm busy... Wtf? I told the worker that as an employee, it's important to be able to multitask even if it means ringing up a customer while picking up the phone; you can ask the person to please hold. There was no one there anyways?! He just shrugged and said that it was super busy. But the phones still going off while you're talking to me you idiot! I get my drinks and one of the Milky teas spills all over my damn leg! Are you F*cking kidding me? I put it on the table and tell him that it wasn't sealed properly. He seals it and goes to the back. I'm sticky. Ugh... I start driving and the other tea spills everywhere!! So my second tea wasn't sealed properly either! I was about to go back there and throw both drinks right on their floor for those idiots to clean! That's how ticked I was.. I don't think I've ever given such a low rating. Bam. There you have it! Incompetent workers... Thank goodness for the many other boba options I have in the area to choose from that I don't have to deal with workers that don't give a shit. I've never had a problem with Arcadia's Honey Boba. They hit the spot :)

I find this place a regular Lollicup or Tapioca Express. I prefer Half n Half as it tastes better, less sweet and is made from real tea. I only been here twice. I tired the strawberry ice milk with pudding and boba. Second time coming here i decided to try chocolate mocha milk tea with coffee jelly and boba. Both were ok, kinda sweet. Don't think it will be regular boba place but it is closer to my work when im craving something like half n half.

    (3)
  • Ren E.

Drinks are good. I always get the Wintermelon Tea-half sweet- with grass jelly and lychee jelly. Decor has been at a bare minimum since the store's opening so it doesn't feel as inviting as other teahouses in SGV. You probably wouldn't chill here with your friends for very long.. more of a grab and go vibe.

    (4)
  • Sarah K.

I ordered a regular milk tea with honey boba, I must say that I was very disappointed. It tasted like those cheap $1.99 milk tea bobas. I like half and half SO much better. My drink basically tasted like sugar water. The only good thing is they let you change your drink if you're unsatisfied. If you're in the area, give it a try but I do not recommend the milk tea...

  • Chris Y.

Keep in mind that the cups are huge. If you get your drink to go, you'll probably be driving away with the drink between your thighs.. I finally got to try this new Honeyboba location. Surprisingly for a boba place, the inside is quite nice. Its even got some chandeliers!, which always makes a place classier. The menu is displayed on the giant LCD monitor hanging on top, but was hard to read due to the reflection from the sun. I'm also not a fan of places that make you stand extremely close to the counter to read the menu and getting that awkward "are you ready?" look. I ordered the Signature Milky drink with Honey Boba and Taro Pudding. This place is very similar to Half and Half drink-wise and cup-size-wise. The biggest difference being that the pudding I got was about half the size of what I usually get at Half and Half. I guess that's the trade off since the wait was quite short compared to the extremely busy nearby Half and Half locations. Other pluses are that they accept credit cards! Great for me since I hate using cash for anything.. They have plenty of indoor and outdoor seating available. And since it shares a lot with Walmart, there's plenty of parking. For those that haven't been here before, Honeyboba is not attached to the Walmart structure. Its actually located in a smaller structure right across the Walmart, within the same parking lot.

WARNING: if you like EXTREMELY SWEET drinks. COME HERE.... I am a boba tea lover. i like to go to places like half &half, class 302, and milk & honey. but not in a million year i will come back here again. coming in to this boba shop at first me and my Bf was having hard time read their menu of their TVs. they got like 6 TVs i thinks. only 2 menu was show on the 6 tvs. menu letters were really small and blurry. we have to get very close to read it. we end up ordering green tea with 50% sugar, and milk tea w/puddings and boba(what i always order at my favorite boba places). they were fast we got our drinks quickly. after trying my bfs 50% sugar green tea i got a bad feeling about my drink. his drink 50% sugar was like normal shop 100% sugar content. so fingers crossed go for my drink. one sip, i was SCARED, my drink was like 200% sugar content compared to drinks that i get from other boba shops. i only had 1 sip of the drink. i have to throw my drink away... what a waste of $

    (1)
  • Diana C.

Amazing drinks, clean environment, variety but it gets busy.... Waited 25 minutes for our drinks and when it was finally ready they left it sitting in the back for a while

  • Emily P.

Customize your own sweetness for any drink! I don't know if this is related but every time I finish drinking Honey Boba I get the uhm... Runs lol. The drinks doesn't taste like the usual drinks at other boba spots. It's watered down and even too sweet for me even if I order half/less sweet. Suggested if you want to grab a quick drink while heading to Walmart and if you're looking for an effective colon cleanse.

  • Vi V.

My BF and I would always go to the one in Arcadia whenever we decide to go to the Santa Anita Mall and now there's one closer to his house! This one is in the same plaza as Walmart and so there's plenty of parking compared to the other one. What I always get: Frosted Signature Milky w/ Caramel, Pudding, & Honey Boba ($4): my all time favorite! Whether it be here or at Half & Half. Mix it well and chop up all the pudding with your straw so you don't get a big chunk of it at the end of your drink. Service: We came around noon and there was maybe 2 other parties in there besides ours. No problem to me! That just means it doesn't take long to make my drink!

  • Yesi J.

I give Honeyboba 5 stars because I have not yet been disappointed. This place has so many different drink flavors and toppings to choose from. Every time I come here I try something different and so far they have all been good. Their taro smoothie with boba and matcha smoothie with boba are personally my favorite but I love them all! Something I always get that isn't on the menu is mango and banana smoothie with boba. Something about that combo, you will not be disappointed!

    (5)
  • Diane T.

Eh.... a bit disappointed. I had several friends tell me that this place is better than Half & Half's...err I don't quite agree.. For me, although i'm not a super huge fan of half & half, i think they definitely trump this place. The frothy milk drinks here were just WAY TO FREAKING SWEET!... Yes i had to use all caps to express that. My friend and I shared one of their frothy milk drinks with the caramel, egg pudding, and honey boba. Lord, we could not finish that drink. It was just overwhelming the amount of sweetness that lingered in the drink. I also tried the jasmine milk tea with 25% sugar. All i tasted was milk... no hint of tea whatsoever. Overall it was disappointing..and I probably won't return. Not to mention that the staff was definitely not helpful.

    (2)
  • Macy H.

Poor service. It was a very long wait to get my drink and then when they announced my drink, I couldn't really hear and I asked if it was my order and the lady said to "just take it." I said "I know but I want to make sure it's mine." And she ended up just strongly talking almost yelling that I needed to just take it. It ended up being mine after all but sheesh. Probably won't go back. Too many other good boba places to deal with that.

just got a thai tea boba from here. the first time visit too. thai tea boba chinese style is too bland and tasteless. i felt i was drinking water milk. :( i only had few sips and couldn't continue because it was not yummy at all so i had no choice but to throw the drink away. that was a waste of my bf's money. :( needs to be more sweeter like authentic thai tea. to be better and more delicious. best/wise to improve your ingredients. thai tea boba needs to be authentic thai tea replica.. SWEET. if not sweet at all, then it's not a thai tea boba. period. it's called thai tea for a reason. i was VERY disappointed in their thai tea boba. honeyboba, your name is cool. but your thai tea ain't cool at all. it's misleading. smh.

Finally visited this teahouse after having it recommended numerous times. The menu is extensive- which I really appreciate as teahouse follower. They have an assortment of teas, milkteas, slushies, and smoothies. I ordered the Mountain Oolong with honey boba, since I'm a big Oolong fan. The wait was a little long but they prepare their teas fresh, so I didn't mind. The tea itself was a little sweet for an Oolong but delicious none the less. The boba was soft, sweet, and obviously fresh- which is hard to come by. All and all I really enjoyed my tea and will definitely be back.

  • Ryan M.

Came here 20 mins before closing. They turned us away because their wait time was over 30 minutes. The place seemed full of unhappy customers all waiting for their drinks.

  • Michael C.

After seeing many fellow yelpers check in here, I was in the area and decided to give Honeyboba a try. Nothing to special here. The menu is pretty extensive and they also have a good selection of additions instead of boba (i.e. grass jelly, pudding, etc...). The boba was delicious, but I have to agree with the others about the drinks. The milk tea was average. It was watered down and had a funny after taste. The service here was also suspect. I ordered one drink, but it took almost 15 minutes to come out. There was no one else in line and no one waiting for drinks. Not sure if there was a big rush or if they are just confused. The store was clean though and had plenty of indoor and patio seating.

Eh, I'm not sure why I come back to this place. I guess I just wanted to give this company another chance, especially when it's pretty close to home. I was standing there like a n00b and waiting for the guy to help me - but it seemed like he was doing a million other thing also? So you have someone that pours out/mixes drinks, but they can't put it through the lid melting thingy for the cups? OOOoOoOk. At least my drink wasn't too bad, but it's just something that I don't think I'll be back for. Considering I wasn't offered a stamp card, waited like 15 minutes for a drink, when there wasn't that many customers in the store. Including myself, there were two other customers. UGH. ok. I'm really done Honeyboba. Next :P

  • Sanora A.

3pm sugar rush for the office be sure to get a stamp card if u already don't have one. . . The drinks are a bit pricey and a little too sweet for me but my co workers like it. So the only time I come here its by force and not choice. The drinks are just mediocre and nothing fascinating but not much in the area so a lot of people frequent it. The kitchen is very clean so that's a huge plus for me. The staff is friendly and fast so that's another plus. The place is a bit small but trendy and efficient. They have a stamp card I collect since I'm there 10 stamps gets you a free drink.

  • Tina T.

Conveniently located in the Wal-Mart plaza , this place is a good place to run in and out for boba. Their cups are big like half n half and the service is much quicker. I like their strawberry ice milk half sweetened.

Convenient location for those craving boba -- closer than Half and Half, Factory Tea Bar and other 626 boba joints. - minus 1 star for so-so boba. My standard comparison is now Factory Tea Bar where the boba is large, chewy, and slightly sweet. Honeyboba's version is smaller, a bit hard in the middle and doesn't live up to its name. -minus 1 star for overcharging its customers on sales tax. Rosemead levies a 9% sales tax rate. Honeyboba apparently doesn't. I find it ironic since I come here after work to pick up a cup to drink before I go to my graduate class at USC. And the class I'm taking? State and local taxation, where we cover sales and use tax. Brought it up to the supervisor/manager on duty who said he'll look into it (this was back in October). -minus 1 star for continuing to overcharge its customers on sales tax. I stopped by last night before class to get a frosted signature milky with honeyboba and coffee jelly to go. Still overcharging on tax. I brought it up again to the cashier and the supervisor on duty (who I think is the same person who I talked to before). They didn't say if they're were going to look into it or maybe stop charging the wrong rate?? Maybe they don't know that it's illegal to do this. 0_o While their drinks do not match the level of Half and Half or Factory Tea Bar, it's a nice fix for those who don't have the time to drive to the other places. However, given how they do not listen, I'm fairly certain I won't be back.

I got the Honey Lemon Ice Tea w/h Aloe it came out extremely fast, I was surprised. The place is not so exciting, they could add some lights to make it more comforting but overall it's a good hang out spot. I just wish the place wasn't so packed together with so much chairs and such, not enough space. But hardly ever busy ! Their boba is just wonderful

I have been to Honeyboba 4 more times since my initial visit. It turns out they will do: 0%, 25%, 50%, and 75% sugar as well. This is great because I like 0% sugar in my Milk Tea. The boba, that is cooked with honey, (hence the name Honeyboba) sweetens the drink enough for me. This is also great for people watching their sugar intake.

Love honey boba. The wait can be long at times but so worth it. Workers are friendly. The place is pretty big so there is space to hang out. There boba is great. I always get the chocolate smoothie with extra boba and they do out the extra boba! I will always attended when I'm craving boba :)

3.5 stars. This place reminds me of Half&half. Pretty much the same menu, and they have the big-a$$ cups. Drinks tend to be on the sweeter side, so I always get it less sweet (if I remember). Boba was nice and chewy. I would come back for my boba cravings.

Place: the place is really cool, they have nice lights and they have a cool yellow wall. Workers: didn't mind them, they just did their job and that's okay. They do take a little bit longer to make your drinks but I guess that's their routine Drink: their boba does not disappoint. I'm in love with h vanilla smoothie.

My usual go-to tea place was closed on Tuesday night, so I had find an alternative to satisfy my craving -- enter Honey Boba. I was hesitant after seeing all the reviews for the long wait and poor service, but decided to give this place a go anyway. Lucky for me, there wasn't a long wait and the service was decent. I have to say though that the menu is so TINY!! If you're standing in line, it's pretty hard to see the menu from the back of the line. Honey milk tea- the flavor was just ok Passion fruit pineapple ice crystals- fancy name for slush and very sugary sweet These drinks didn't sit well with my husband and I, so I don't think we'll be making a second trip.

Love their honey milk tea! You can really taste honey, which I love. The regular portion is big compared to other boba places, and is averagely priced. All in all this is a good boba shop to try

I got a rose milk Boba tea and the caramel milk frost with boba and I liked both. Their Boba is very soft and chewy, definitely better than lollicup. $3.29 for the rose milk tea and 49 cents for the boba, with tax, it comes up to $4.12 which is not bad. The size is bigger than lollicup too. The rose milk is very aromatic and great tasting. The other drink, the frosty milk one was ok but it was just full of ice. I would get the rose milk tea again but not the second drink.

Decent boba but the 20+ minute wait for your order blows. Tons of kids just lounging around and taking up space. It was another hot day and of course, we didn't want to sit outside. Unfortunately all the kids took up all the tables inside the shop. The AC wasn't cold so to compound the long wait, the warm temps inside didn't help. I'm sticking with the other boba shop (half n ...). The boba at honey boba is decent though.

(This review is only for the iced tea drinks). Meh. Wanted to try this place out based on the favorable reviews, but greatly regretted venturing out and trying honey boba instead of my favorites in the SGV (tea barrel, half and half, and tea brick). The interior of the store is chic and has inside and outside seating areas. The menu is crammed onto a tv screen and is hard to read. I had to put off getting in line to see what the menu was and then get back into like after reading the small print of the menu. The cashier was courteous and knowledgable about the drinks and was helpful in giving advice to a first timer like me. I ordered a passion fruit iced tea with boba. Toppings are 49 cents in addition to the drink. I definitely did not get what I paid for. My bobio (boba ratio to liquid) was low! I had no boba in there! The tea tasted kinda sour, which is different from other establishments when I order the same thing. But the worst thing here was that their boba pearls were not fresh! It was soggy and melted and did not have the chewiness of fresh boba. So disappointing! I saw other ppl with iced milk drinks, perhaps that is their strength here. Other yelpers complained about the sugar levels here, it seemed comparable to other boba places in the SGV to me. I'm gonna vote pass on this place.

First time at this place. I've actually been to the one in Arcadia, which is my preferred location. The boba was good and fresh. Unfortunately, the drinks were watered down and did not have much flavor.

My first boba experience (in a long while) in the LA area, and I must say, it ain't half bad. The huge "regular size" cups go for $3.79 with $0.49 add-ons of pearls/pudding and the likes. What makes it is the sweet pearls that literally tastes like its been boiled in honey. People complain about the line, but if you go during an off-hour like Monday 2pm, you'll get in and out in 15minutes. Other times or days, there's no guarantee. And yes, counter service is slow but the boba-making is quite fast. What's recommended: Frosty Milk $3.79 with any combo of add-ins for no additional cost (my pick: pearls+pudding). Ah, the catch? There's not a drop of tea. It's purely a mix of milk, ice, and your favorite add-ins. Delicious even without caffeine. Parking is easy to find as it's situated next to Panda Express and the Walmart Superstore. Overall, a good choice if you want to skip those Half/Half Teahouse lines.

Great things: Price range from regular to large is cheap The workers are so nice, especially koby won kanobi Tea flavor is strong if you like that Pretty sweet but you can ask for less if you want Stamp cards Next to Walmart and game stop Slushies are great Many add ons to choose from Their to-go bags are so cute Meh things: If add ons aren't like 50 cents Sometimes the tea is so sweet it overpowers the honey boba itself The cups won't fit the cup holders Aloe floats up and doesn't sink so it's difficult to consume (other place's their aloe sinks)

Absolutely loved this place!!! Too bad it has to be so far away. It was very reminiscent to Half and Half, which is my go to Boba spot. My hubby and I were in the area for something else. We were in the mood for Boba so we yelped this location. Fellow reviewers you did not disappoint. This place exceeded all of my expectations. I ordered the honey milk tea with boba. From the first sip I was in love. The honey tasted real as opposed to a pump or sweetener. The tea was fresh and the Boba was perfect. A little tougher, but gummy. It fulfilled my ever need. My hubby got the peach milk tea. It was amazing and he couldn't stop drinking it. Within a matter of minutes our drunks were almost gone. It was a super generous amount for a decent price. The restaurant was cute. It was small, but it was intimate. The staff was really friendly as well and were happy to make recommendations or any accommodations to our drinks. If we are ever within 10 miles, well most definitely be back!

Was searching for a boba place while driving around and came upon #HoneyBoba The flat screen menu was a little hard to read, either from being dirty or from the sunshine glaring in. Glad they had one taped on the counter by the register. Wasn't in the mood to try anything new so I ordered the Almond Milk Tea with Boba and Fluffy Egg Custard. ($0.49 each for every topping I added.) If I was going to compare them with other places, I'd like to stay with something familiar. Results: Flavor - Spot on - Not too sweet and perfect hint of almond. The egg custard was yummy and fluffy. The boba texture was perfect, wish they gave you a little more (not a lot, but just a few more would've made it perfect. Only bad thing was they put way too much ice in it. By the time I finished it, there was still a half cup of ice in my cup. All in all a good stop for a boba fix.

Always so slow in service !!....plus the girl who took my order this last time was so rude , mean and had no personality what so ever . You know, those people who look like they don't wanna be there. She was on her phone and looked annoyed we walked in . People forget ..that those people who you ring up, Help pay for your paycheck!!! The boba was good. But the girl with long long darker hair who took my order , really made me not want to go back. And certainly not give a tip! THen I came here today and they didn't have boba !!!! They literally had no boba ! Wtf is that ?!? I came at 9:30 30 mins before closing ...they claimed to be " out of boba" but I doubt it...they most likely just didn't wanna cook another batch because they were going to close soon. Seriously this location SUCKS customer service wise

I called three times to place an order. Nobody picked up the phone the first two times. On the third, a female picked up and told me they weren't taking any phone orders because the kitchen was backed up. I came in the store 5 minutes later, and there were just two people ahead of me in line. The store itself was pretty empty. I will not be coming back because the drinks weren't good and they made it an inconvenience for me by not taking phone orders!

Pretty generic for a Honeyboba-- massive cups of milk tea, a decidedly cliche yet fashionable interior, lots of parking, and ample seating. Service, even with a line, is still decent, too. And tasty-- crystal jade green tea (was that the name?) was excellent. That said, it's definitely overrun on weekends, and you still have to deal with the decor...

    (4)
  • Micky N.

I got the peach iced tea and it was a little too sweet but what made this drink great was the honey boba. It was perfectly chewy and sweet. The decor on the inside was really cute. I'm a sucker for chandeliers!! I would definitely come back :)

I only go here when I need to walk around Walmart and need a drink in my hand. It's true that the wait time is here pretty long, they are under staff almost all the time I'm there. Their mountain oolong milk tea is pretty good, and I can never go wrong with their passion fruit iced tea.

  • Valerie N.

This place one is so cute inside! There was no line so I was in and out in a very quick time. They have lots to choose from so I was very overwhelmed In what I really wanted. I was craving coconut however they did not offer any?! I went with the pineapple passion fruit snow. It was very refreshing and tasty. The regular size is a lot but makes sense when you are paying almost 5 bucks.

I don't understand why I keep coming here. When someone suggest Honeyboba, I'm like "Sure, sounds good!" But then when I take that first sip, all the bad memories come back to me. Their drinks don't taste good. They keep saying they're going to add snacks/food to the menu, but they never did. The fat cups are cute and all, but they don't fit in my cup holder and it's hard for me to finish. Decor is also cute (honey theme) and service is fine (although understaffed), but if you got bad drinks AND wait in a long time to get it then no thanks. Seriously, I think this place is only popular because of the location. Boba in Rosemead is a rarity.

  • Nelson B.

The store never answers there phone when I tried to call multiple times to phone in my order so it'll be ready before I come since they are slow on making the drinks. I wouldn't go here again because the drinks taste bland and poor customer service.

I can't believe it took me this long to put pudding in my drinks. Oh boy. That was great. Very, very sweet, which I think goes well with milk tea but you may want to go for less sugar if you're getting a tea without milk. It's in a huge parking lot next to a Panda Express and hasn't been too crowded in my experience, which is nice (I like h&h too, but I'm not about to wait 45 minutes for tea).

I came here to catch up with an old friend and he was craving good boba. I ordered the signature frosted milky with caramel and grass jelly ($3.95). The menu was intimidating with just lists of drinks. I noticed there was no food or snacks, which was disappointing compared to the one in Arcadia. (Or maybe I was blind and didn't notice?) Anyways, the drink was typical --not bad, not great. I really don't understand the big cup either, not a fan. The chandeliers are a nice touch and customer service was nice. She let my friend try the taro pudding. Other than that, nothing too special about this place.

It took 25-30 minutes to get my drink. I was really disappointed with the wait. I normally go to the Arcadia one. I think I'm going to stick with that location. Check it out, but you be waiting for a while. ENJOY!

I feel like I'm being generous by giving two stars. I tried the watermelon slush after finding out they were out of honey dew. Watermelon was okay, nothing special or fresh. On another day I tried the milky banana. Not only was it not very "milky" but it was overly sweet and tasted artificial. The flavor was much like the hard banana candy I used to get as a child from the quarter machines. Yuck. The price tag did not match the quality I expected.

I love their drinks! I always have to stop by once I'm done grocery shopping at Walmart. I usually always get their taro milk tea with boba or pudding, it's my favorite!!! though as much as I love their drinks, I absolutely HATE the wait. I went in like 2 weeks ago and waited about 20-25 mins for one drink.. I work at a popular bakery and I have to make espresso drinks & smoothies, it takes even longer when it gets super busy. so I understand where they're coming from. but at the same time, it just shouldn't take longer than 10 mins for one drink. I'm assuming they're understaffed? which is not only unfortunate for customers but the employees as well since it adds more stress on them. or maybe I just went on a day that they didn't have full staff. idk. I really love their drinks. I'll probably still come since it's really yummy and a good price lol. but hope I won't have to wait as long. fingers crossed!

Was not impressed with the boba as it was hard and not flavorful. The flavor of the tea I got was decent. The drinks are over priced.

  • Emily T.

This place loves to mess up orders... They always hire new staff and I feel like half of them don't know how to work efficiently. I know that they get busy sometimes, but they mess up my order 7 out of 10 times that I go. Sometimes they make it too sweet. Other times they forget my boba or some other topping. Other times they mess up and give me the wrong drink completely! I try to call in and put an order sometimes but they NEVER pick up the phone. It just keeps ringing and ringing and sometimes I call and they're "busy" so I call a few minutes later and they reject the call lol. Service is definitely lacking in this location and the drinks are just average. The only reason I come here is because it's close to home and their drinks aren't caffeine-strong so I can drink it at night and sleep restfully. If AU weren't as strong (it keeps me up if I drink it at night), I would go there instead. Overall, the main point is to train the workers better and have them pay attention to what they're doing instead of making the drinks fast and carelessly.

Let's just say, somehow they don't improve with time. I ordered 2 drinks today. And somehow they manage to make 2 mistakes in a row. One was mango ice tea with boba, first the forgot to put boba so I returned it. Then, after they said they fixed my drink already, they mistakenly put boba and aloe on my drinks. Yikes. They didn't look happy when I point out the mistakes either. They forgot to give me stamp card and when I remind them after using the restroom they wouldn't give it. Good luck getting customers... U won't get any referral fr me.

Pretty decent boba, and a big menu, although that was hard to read! The price isn't bad and you get a huge cup. I don't know if they all have the same interior, but the one I went to was decorated really cool with bright yellow seats and these really big and sparkly modern chandeliers.

FAVORITE BOBA PLACE!! My go to drink is the mango ice crystal with boba. It's basically a slushie. It's really sweet and fruity but I like it that way! I also liked the jasmine green tea with grass jelly. All their fruity slushies are sweet so ask for less sugar if you don't like that... The service here is ok. It's not horrible but not exceptional either. How the drink tastes also varies, some employees mix the drinks better than others. The decor is pretty nice, kinda looks more like a club than a boba spot. Their cup size is like half and half (wide) so be mindful! Don't forget to get a stamp card as well :)

I'm not sure if it was a off day for them but the boba taro smoothies was way off that day. Usually I complain it's too sweet but now I co plain it's way to water down. I haven't came back for awhile since they hire the new person. Can't get my order right.

  • Elizabeth S.

Their customer service sucks. Let me start off there. When I look at the menu, it's hard to concentrate. Every word is bunched together. Their boba drinks aren't horrible but some come out way too much of something. Too bitter. Too sweet. It's in a plaza with a Walmart, Wells Fargo, Panda Express, Subway, etc.. There's always parking unless we're talking Black Friday.

I can understand that with 90° weather outside, there would be a lot of people wanting boba. However, even with the amount of people inside, I didn't expect to be waiting 20-30 minutes for my ONE drink. That alone makes me not want to ever go back. The girl taking orders was nice... the guy making the drinks in the back didn't seem very friendly. He was entertaining though. Every time he brought a drink to the counter, he would slip from something on the floor. Each time it happened, he looked at the floor to see what it was... but did he bother to clean up the spill (or whatever it was)? Nah, he left it... I must have seen him slip at least 5 times... lol. The menu is pretty overwhelming. The drink itself was good... not the best but it was good. I had an Almond Milk Tea with Taro Pudding. Also, I'm not a fan of the big cups... cause they don't fit in my cup holder in my car... lol. At least I don't have to be curious about this place anymore.

I wish I could give this place zero stars for the horrendous customer service I received today. After 15 minutes and noticing they had served out the drinks to the number before mine, I noticed my drink was sitting in the kitchen. The cashier was empty so I decided to walk up and politely asked about my order. The girl told me "they were still making it". I said okay and waited another 10 minutes. The drink just sat there so I decided to cancel my order. I stood by the cashier and everyone in the kitchen proceeded to look at me and ignore me. When someone finally acknowledged me, I asked for a refund and only then did someone check my number and grab that EXACT SAME drink I had noticed 20 minutes earlier. He gave it to me and didn't even apologize for the confusion. I requested a refund and both employees at the register just shrugged apathetically and did not even apologize for the unnecessary delay. On top of that they rudely handed me my refund and grabbed the drink back to be tossed. The one I had paid and waited almost 30 minutes for. If you want to pay money to wait 30 minutes for drinks and experience rude customer service from miserable employees, by all means come by this location.

First time trying HoneyBoba today. Seeing that it was jammed packed with people, I went in with high hopes at a decent drink, but was sorely disappointed. I got the frosted signature milky with honey boba and pudding, and my friend got the earl grey milk tea with honey boba. The frosted signature milky drink was so bland and the ice was poorly blended. The boba was way too soft and lacked any flavor. The pudding was the only redeeming factor. The earl grey milk tea was better and more flavorful in comparison, but still disappointing overall. The service was good and the wait time wasn't too long. We waited no more than 10 minutes from ordering to receiving our drinks. Plenty of parking.

Absolutely no wait on a Tuesday night after work! I was really coming to this part of town because I wanted to do some shopping at Walmart. But when I pulled up in the parking lot and say Honeyboba, I couldn't resist but take a little detour to this boba shop so I would have a nice refreshment with me as I shopped around Walmart I was the only customer at this Honeyboba at 6pm. I usually get their Iced Milk drinks at the Arcadia location, so I figured I would try something different to test out their teas. I ordered the Rose black milk tea with boba. It was a little bit too milky and creamy, compared to Ten Ren's but I really loved the honey boba. Their boba was made really well here, so I would recommend ordering this add-on to any drink you have. It'll make it taste better. :) After all, they are named Honeyboba! As for their tea, I think I'll stick to their Ice Milk drinks instead.

I love boba drinks. And I have tried quite a few places. My go to drink is milk tea boba, and occasionally I'll get a mango smoothie. A couple of days ago my sister and I had a honey milk tea boba and a mango banana smoothie. The honey milk tea had a long of almond flavoring, as in the artificial kind. And mine had too much banana flavoring. I ended up really liking mine once I got passed the artificial banana flavoring. Their cups are cute, but super inconvenient when you are driving. My cup holder doesn't fit that size bottom,Darn it!! It ends up between my legs when I'm driving and it gets really cold on my legs. Lol prices are kinda high but nothing crazy. I only come here when I make my trip to Walmart to stock up on necessities.

Came here with my partner to grab some late night boba. The good: Isn't as rampantly crowded as other boba places (for reasons explained later). Prices are average, drinks are large, boba is properly prepared (isn't too hard or too soft), and there is a decent amount of seating for a boba place. Honeydew slush was tasty, quenching, and not too sweet. It was, however, pretty watery and probably needed more ice to graduate to a "slush." The bad: The menu is very busy-looking and contains seasonal items. Its on an LCD screen. Shouldn't be too hard to change. We had two drinks: a honeydew slush and a taro smoothie. The slush was good but the smoothie was severely watered down to the point where the taro flavor was almost just an aftertaste. Tldr; its a hit or miss for this place and its priced the same as these other large boba places. If you're looking for a quick fix, this should work but be careful what you order.

First time I tried honeyboba was about a year ago when my wife got the almond milktea w/ boba. My first reaction was it tasted pretty good and it didn't have that powdery aftertaste. We came back a couple times after that and I realized that they actually used powder! But I guess they blended the drink to the point that I don't taste the powder. I would probably say it was one of my top almond milktea despite using almond powder. But the past couple times within the past month I started to taste the powdery aftertaste. 5 stars for the first 7 visits. 3 stars for the last 2 visits. Going to give them a couple more tries before I consider moving on. I really hope they fix the issue.

Best bargain is to get the drinks with the boba/sauces/jelly included! OK place to hang for teenagers. Really loud. Sometimes the ac is on and sometimes its not! Nice to grab before you go into the neighboring WalMart.

What kind of place opens at 12pm on a Saturday? Didn't know business was so bad. I don't know how long those people have been waiting but it is too HOt to be waiting outside even in the shade! 1 minute left and they still refuse to open the door. How odd. I would open earlier to get more business. Just saying

Gahhhh one star for the bitter bitter tea I had yesterday. Okay I would just give it one more star because their smoothies aren't bad - but just their Smoothies - nothing else here is good! I have been to this place like 5-6 times and every drink I ordered was pretty bad - you wonder why I keep coming - cause sometimes I shop with my parents at Walmart (which is located in the same plaza) and we get thirsty so this was just a convenient place to get a drink. and each time I would try something different and it would be bad for me - so what I have tried and would stay away: Green Milk Tea - I've tried this - just regular no more no less of anything - way too sweet. I've tried it with half sugar - nope was too sweet still - tried it with half sugar more ice - became bland. I gave up on this drink here. Peach Flavored Iced Tea - oi - it's not a peachy flavor - it's totally something else and totally gross and leaves a bitter dry taste in the mouth. Regular Iced Green Tea - just regular green tea no more no less of anything - way too sweet. Tried it with no sugar - wow super bitter - so bitter I wasn't able to drink much of it. What was actually good: Mango smoothie - not super sweet like the milk teas or flavored teas. Coconut smoothie - very good coconut flavor and not too sweet too. So none of the milk teas, flavored teas, regular teas are any good! - I don't think they are very good at making them - that - or the ingredients or recipe is just bad. The smoothies however are decent so if anything I will just stick to ordering those the next time I am thirsty after shopping at Walmart. One thing I do hate also are the cups - they don't freaking fit in the cup holders because they make them so big just to attract people but honestly it's not that appealing to me -and makes me mad cause I can't drink it all or feel like I'm wasting the drink when I can't drink it at all. The prices are more expensive due to the cup but the volume shouldn't be that much more than a regular 16 or 24 oz cup.

Came here on a Friday night at 9pm. Endless line, took me forever to get my drink. They had 3 people working, 2 in the back and 1 cashier. Got a fresh milk jasmine green tea, taste great, wasn't too sweet.

Boba place is alright. Not the very best boba place I ever been too, but the shop does have great qualities. For example, there's free wi-fi, portion size is huge, drinks taste good, and prices are very fair. I like the large menu they have, but the menu is drinks only. There's no food options here (at the time I went). I would return if I wanted boba in the area, but would not go out of my way to get boba from here. Almond milk tea no boba - good, but not the best.

Honey boba is a dedicated boba shop so you'll be coming in here for the drinks. I live close to two honey boba shops, one in Rosemead and one in Arcadia. I've never been able to try the Arcadia one because every time I try it's too crowded. The Rosemead one isn't ever too busy to get a quick drink. But we'll talk more about that. DRINKS, my friends from Arcadia tell me that the best boba is from Honey Boba. My reaction is... "wait really? Have you never tried boba in SG or Alhambra then?" Because if this honey boba tastes anything like the one in Arcadia then I can assure you it's not the best boba in the SGV by far. (that's right Arcadia people, I'm calling you out). Now, to give it credit it's a decent place to get boba still. The boba milk tea is a good stable and the froster milky honey boba is really sweet for anyone with a sweet tooth so that's probably my favorite drink here. It's sort of pricey on par with Half and Half. SERVICE, the staff is helpful and nice, no complaints with them. LOCATION, the honeyboba is sort of out of place. It's near a huge wal-mart, so if you just happened to be shopping them this is a good place to go after. But I wouldn't call this place a location to go out of your way for. It's a good place if you want a shop that's not too busy to get a drink, sit down and have a nice chat. It's not really place to sit for extended periods though. OVERALL, a good place to try out to see if it's for you. But for me, it hasn't really impressed me too much just yet. I'll try the Arcadia location and see if it lives up to the hype that it's been given.

First time at this location. Ordered almond milk tea with boba and egg pudding , forgot to get less sweet but the ice watered it down a bit n made it better. I really enjoyed it from here for some reason! Saw many other ppl who ordered colorful drinks which I'm not used to, it's definitely less Asian than the other boba shops I go to. Waiting to order on sun afternoon wasn't bad... It was waiting for the drink that took awhile. Most ppl in there had not received their drinks yet.

I drove past this place and decided to get some boba, knowing nothing about this place and having not been to Honey Boba before. Probably the worst boba I've had. I ordered the mango iced tea with boba which was pretty expensive ($4+) but I hated it. The boba itself is great -- perfectly chewy and everything. Lots of boba places I've been to have awful and hard boba. It's the tea that was gross. I barely drank any before I had to throw it away. I won't be back here.

I have a few complaints about this place. The cups are fat. How am I suppose to put the cups in my cup holder? I'd like to be able to drive and drink/put the cup aside. The width of the cup is unusually large. One time when I was driving and made a turn, the drink that I purchased from this place fell from the car seat and splattered onto the carpet :( Some of the staffs need to work on their attitude. No one wants to see stuck up faces at the register...be polite. I notice some male staffs treat an older Hispanic man working on the drinks in the kitchen badly. Really? Show him respect! He's trying to make a living! Aside from my complaints the drinks are good. There are lots of varieties.

TEA of the MOMENT: Lychee Iced Tea Too much ice. A hint of lychee flavoring, plus some pieces of lychee jelly, when I just only wanted the drink, a nice surprise while drinking it. --- Wow. Did I actually do a tea review? Yeah yeah, it's been a while, at the same time, I haven't been going to a lot of teahouses lately. I knew about Honeyboba for quite some time. Been to the one in Arcadia, and had a mixed experience with that. And saw that a few more branches opened up in South Bay, so I guess Honeyboba is doing something right. Decor is pretty clean, and it was pretty empty when I went in the early afternoon. Granted, it was raining, and not many people would want to have an icy drink when a cold front snap appeared in Los Angeles. The cashier was nice enough to give me a new stamp card, because the one I had was pretty old (maybe from a year or two ago), and told me that they had changed it. She gave me the stamps I had on my old card plus one more for the drink I ordered.

the slowest honeyboba that i've ever been too. the workers just hang around the kitchen even when they are busy. the drinks are good but the service is just terrible.

One of my go-to boba places when I'm in the area, just because it's local and convenient to get to. But luckily they do have very decent drinks. Just recently, I came in to order four drinks for my friends. I stood around waiting for my order. After about 15 minutes (and noticing that they passed my number), I was thinking it was a bit odd, but thought that they must be figuring something out. Eventually, the worker asked me if I was waiting for an order, and that was when she realized they didn't make my order at all. I didn't totally mind (although I know others would have), but she decided to make all my drinks Large free of charge to compensate. Wasn't expecting that at all, so for that superb service, they deserve 5 stars!

Made a spontaneous trip here since it's the closest boba tea house from my house. It was a bad idea. I regret not driving that extra 5-10 minutes to the nearest half&half. I was cautious with what I order because this was my second visit. I ordered a jasmine milk green tea thinking you cannot go wrong with this simple drink. Well, I thought wrong. This tastes nothing like the jasmine milk green tea (green milk tea) I've had before. (Maybe it's only this location, but I never had a problem with the Arcadia honeyboba) I won't ever come back here. I wouldn't want another disappointment after getting excited for a late night boba run...

I've been so busy after trip to LA and now, time to write lots of review for what I'd been. Well, actually I am a fan of Half&Half boba , but once I try Honey Boba, I like Honey more. as I said I like sweet and HoneyBoba more sweet and fit my flavor :-) yumm !! I stayed in Rosemead Hilton near Honey Boba, easy for me to visit and grab a drink twice a days during my trip haha. I ordered lots of different things everyday but I like "Black Seasame Milk Tea with Boba and Jelly" the best best best !!! must try Yelpers :-) !! My friend, he ordered a Taro Milk Tea with egg pudding, not too bad, but I think with taro pudding much better (haha) ! Ah ! they have 2 size, I forgot the price but if you choose the biggest cup size, just 49 cent plus. not too bad, why not go bigger ?? anyway, lots of boba tea house in LA/CA, you can try Honey. and write a review, let me know what do you have , next time I go La, I will pick one of yours flavor :-)

Drinks are good, but a little pricy. I recommend the taro milk tea. Stamp card is cool too. It would be nice if they served food also. The service is ok, nothing special. It's better to hear from your friends about which drinks are good, rather than experimenting.

  • Kathy K.

When I went, there was only one girl at the cashier and one other girl who makes all the drinks. They constantly have customers (who order more than one drink each) but the drinks came out pretty fast. I mean, I ordered five drinks and there were two orders of three drinks each before me but I waited for about 10 minutes only. The drinks tasted great too, though not as great as the Arcadia location.

Every time my bf and I come I always ask him which drinks we had that weren't good so we can not order them. That's not something I like going into an establishment and like asking. So far my safe drink here has been the taro milk tea. But I'd rather drive into Monterey Park to make sure I get a good drink rather than playing drink roulette.

All hype, I tried honey boba because all of my friends told me too. So I went and first off they have a pretty overwhelming menu, too many options and very small print, I've tried different drinks & I haven't found a drink I actually like. I've gone about 5 times and still nothing. The good thing about this place is they have fair pricing and a very friendly staff. Their store front is very nice & has a really great ambiance, just great energy all around. Hopefully my 6th time will be a charm, but I haven't gone back. I will try it again soon.

So my BF was driving me crazy with his Honey Boo Boo Child jokes when he spotted this boba joint after we were leaving walmart. I had to explain to him that there was no pun intended with the name of this place. At least I hope not! I didn't care that the name was horribly easy to use in Honey Boo Boo puns and decided to get us some boba drinks. They have a ton of drinks. You can check them out on a huge screen above the counter. I didn't like that they left me standing there waiting to be helped for starters. They were busy doing their chores and forgot that the customer should always be their priority! Anyway, the drinks were just OK. I tried the Sesame and my BF tried the Thai Tea. They were both warm on the bottom. This happens sometimes at lamer boba places. My BF shook his drink before he poked it so his was better off. I poked it before I got a chance to shake it so my drink was too warm. I'm not sure but I think they use honey to sweeten the drinks here. It would make sense since they are called Honey Boba. I didn't really enjoy the honey aftertaste of my drink. They use really huge and wide cups. They do not really fit in your car's cup holders. Lame! Parking is no issue as they are located in a huge shopping center.

Drinks are pretty good here BUT if they are busy, expect your drinks to taste like shit! Thinking about calling ahead with your drink order? Good luck! If they are busy they may not even pick up the phone. If they answer they'll just tell you to call back later or make you wait just as long when you go pick up your drinks

    (2)
  • Lynn N.

TODAY was absolutely the WORST! I called and placed a phone order at 4:30pm. 5:10... i show up.. and my order wasn't even made! The manager said that she just started her shift so she doesn't know anything. Everyone had no clue what they were doing and they didn't even bother to apologize. I didn't even want to place the order again since there was a long line of people so I walked out. Wasted my time to listen to a bunch of lame excuses and my damn gas.. Go someplace else.

I had the Honeyboba in Arcadia when they first opened and I personally thought it was mediocre... The first thing that popped into my mind was that their cup was exactly the same ones that Half&Half uses.. anyway, back to this Honeyboba location. I work around the area so my manager always get me some Honeyboba whenever she orders drinks from there. Lucky me! I always order one drink from there.. -Rose Milk Tea with honey boba- not too sweet, milk tea was okay.. tastes like rose milk tea.. BUT!! When my manager asks the barista if they can just separate the rose pedals from the milk tea (because I dont want to eat any of the pedals.. ) but nope. the barista said that they can't do that.. Meh. Plenty of parking spaces, since it's located in the same plaza as Walmart. I will personally go there and order one day and try other drinks from there.

Do I think they make teas that are out of this world? NO. In my 1/2 N 1/2 review, I mentioned overcooked green tea and HoneyBoba is sort of guilty of it (BITTER), but I usually just order 0% sugar mountain oolong tea or earl grey tea with aloe. However, they do get the job done and there are a few things that I love about them that makes me a regular at this joint even if I think their teas are OK. Yes... I go 1-3 times a week and have redeemed numerous free drinks from their stamp cards because I have frequented this place so much. (1) You can customize the HELL out of your drink: 0% 25% 50% 75% sugar? / Less ice? / Large or Regular/ All the different things you can add to your tea (2) Parking is Easy / There is hardly a wait and it is usually pretty fast (vs. a 75 minute wait at 1/2 N 1/2. (3) Staff = Young peeps who are friendly and chill (4) They accept plastic and their receipts DON'T Have your CC info. on it. / They have that stamp card. 11th one is free! I can't have it all.... but I've come to realize I prefer to have low-maintenance OK tea than high-maintenance tasty tea at Half & Half. Choose your boba according to your priorities! :)

  • Linda T.

great milk teas, boba, and fixins! compared to half and half, this place is definitely less packed, but I like the drinks and boba here more! boba is soft, chewy and delicious!! love the big chunks of grass jelly too! my fav milk teas so far are earl grey (strong taste of earl grey tea!) and sesame (love the bits of sesame in the drink). service has been nice, havnt encountered a rude moment yet. get the stampy card and after 10 purchases get one of $3.25 free!

  • Adrienna Y.

Not really sure what all the hype is about tbh! While it's true that there is a wide selection of flavors, nothing particularly stood out for me. I ended up settling on a Taro Milk Tea ($3.29) with Honey Boba (+$0.49) which turned out to be a lot milkier and sweeter than I'm used to. My sister decided on a Frosted Signature Milky with Honey Boba and Pudding ($3.79) and this one wasn't sweet at all! It honestly tasted like iced milk...(no caramel and no tea :( ) Not sure if that was intended (maybe we should have asked for milk TEA?) but it was a huge disappointment compared to the iced milk drinks at Half and Half. The only good that came of the experience was that because my drink was too sweet and hers wasn't, we swapped drinks every few sips to cleanse the palate. Doubt I'll come again unless I'm in the area and have a serious craving for boba and no other boba place to turn to, which is unlikely in the 626 area...

I was excited to discover that a Honey Boba opened up near my home and near Walmart! Unfortunately, this experience didn't really make me want to come "crawling back." When I entered, there wasn't a line, just a few people waiting for their drinks. Finally after approximately 25 minutes, my drink was ready. I wasn't even out of the parking lot and most of my drink was already gone!! (/;__;\) I was disappointed to discover that my drink was filled with a bountiful amount of huge ice cubes. i don't know, maybe they were grumpy or something? Honey Boba in Arcadia, oh speedy drinks and friendly cashiers, you're the only one for me now :)

Came in Sunday and Horrible horrible horrible , this place has went to down hill . It reminds me of the restaurants that get past Down to a arrogant child after family leaves it to them . It used to be very good . Now I have been there 3 times in a row after being long time customer Horrible service horrible Thai tea horrible . The owner has started making money and decided to lower costs and everything so he can probably spend more money on things in his life . A proper business's is not run this way . You have lost your way and if you think I'm just a regular person that goes to mc Donald's you are sadly mistaken . Check my check ins I'm sure you will think twice . Also your service is horrible . Asked for extra ice because my drinks were ice less when I got in car and the girl got mad at me and my girl and even after I tipped 5 bucks for a useless person . Never going again you have lost 2 customers and countless words of mouth with your tacky business's schemes. Maybe I should open a place down the street and remind you all what good boba is . No bueno !!!!

I've heard good things about this place, so even though I saw mixed reviews on Yelp, I decided to give them a try. I ordered 3 different milk teas with boba; Taro, plain milk tea and the Jasmine. The Taro was good, but the others left a lot to be desired. Other than that, the boba was delicious, the decor was refreshing and the employees were polite and friendly. 1 out 3 on good drinks and great tasting boba. I probably wouldn't go out of my way to come here, but I am glad I checked it out.

I like Honeyboba but do not think it's significantly better than other boba places. It was super busy last weekend and the layout of the space was pretty awful because people did not know where to stand. Overall I would return.

my bf. brother and nephew wanted to try this place since we were nearby. They love milk teas and all those boba places and wanted to try this place out. We stop by and they ordered their drinks, went to the car and took a sip and was so disappointed because their drink was hella sweet that they couldn't drink it anymore. They end up throwing it away. What a waste of money! and they said the girl working has attitude so the didn't want to go in and have her remake it.

This place is always clean and they have a rewards program. If you fill your card with 10 stars, the next time you come in you get a free drink. I like the red sunset crystals with boba. In other words, it's just a thai ice tea with boba drink ice blended. My fave! Staff is friendly and upbeat environment with all the tv monitors showing a movie you could watch while you wait. Outdoor seating is also available if you want to enjoy some fresh air.

  • Chris H.

This is an ok place for boba. It's really convenient, sorta cheap and pretty good. I've been coming here every so often since it opened, but only because it's a whole lot closer to my pad than Half & Half is. So, I guess it wins by default.

  • Carolyn V.

I LOVE Honeyboba! The store is very clean and pretty, with the few chandeliers and tv's inside as proof. I've always had good service and my wait time was no more than five minutes. I've been to many boba joints, and to me, Honeyboba's frosted milky is probably one of the best. I personally think it's better than Ten Ren's and Fluff Ice's milk icee drinks, although it is debatable when compared to Half & Half. I haven't tried many other drinks besides the Peach, Mango, Lychee, and Passion Tea Ice Crystal, which I think are pretty good and taste like slushes at Half & Half. Their boba is really good, and I definitely approve! Personally, I think this place is either a hit or miss for everyone. I tend to come here often because this location is just five minutes away from my house and their frosted milky is the best I've tried, plus they give out stamp cards! If you haven't tried this place, the frosted milky is definitely a must-try, however if you're not a big fan of milky drinks, the ice crystal drinks are worth a try as well.

$4.50 for a regular. MEH. That's a $3.80 for the drink + 0.50 for honey boba + tax. Passing time in the Walmart plaza, waiting for the hubs, I decided to surprise him with a milk tea. THE VERY BEST, please!! So, I ordered their signature "Frosty Signature Milky". *confused* Why is this milk tea more expensive than the "Royal Milk Tea"? Explanation... RMT uses creamer. Signature uses real milk. Oh. Overall, I thought it was pretty delicious as long as I drank from the top of the milk tea. Why? Because, the honeyboba is incredibly sweet!!! I can only eat one at a time lol. Compared to Half and Half.. it seems that at least here the sweetness is in the boba and not all over the tea. I could still taste the tea here. Does this have more calories than alcohol??

This place is a little bit expensive, but it is SO GOOD!!! Plus you get a lot of whichever drink you order. My favorite is the honey green tea with boba. Their boba is so fresh!

  • Rubi G.

This place is either a really big hit or miss. The only reason I keep coming back is because it's close to Walmart. I got a craving while shopping so decided to stop by and grab some drinks for my friend and I. We ordered a 75% sweet honey milk tea with boba and a passion fruit green tea. The honey milk tea tasted nothing like tea. I felt like I was drinking sweet water, but the boba was pretty good so I guess the drink had that going for it. I had a sip of my friend's passion fruit green tea and wished I had ordered that instead. The passion fruit green tea was really good! Maybe next time Honeyboba will earn another star from me.

The drinks are ok, the service is horrible. The guy at the register was beyond rude. If your job is to give good customer service then at least pretend to be nice. And it was messy with trash on the floor . Not a good look.

No honey boo boo..just honeyboba. I waited and waited and waited and Honeyboba finally opened its door on January 25th. Ordered peach iced tea ($3.29) and upgraded it to large ($0.49 more) with aloe ($0.49 more) so the total is $4.65. My tea was almost good. Not sure if it's the tea quality or they didn't put enough tea. I don't think this place is a great study spot since the music is way too LOUD, and the yellow booth is uncomfortable. Cute and bright room though.. Topping selections: honeyboba, egg pudding, taro pudding, coffee jelly, lychee jelly, grass jelly, red bean, rainbow jelly and aloe vera. Ask for a punch card if you are planning to become a regular. Plenty of parking since it shares the same parking lot as Walmart. 3 stars!! Honeyboba is almost yummylicious!!

I was craving me some pearl tea and decided to stop by this location. I think I was being a little greedy by ordering the large Almond Milk tea but that think must have been a gallon size. The Almond flavor was quite strong and the thing that got me was that the drink was too sweet. Someone told me it's not supposed to be so sweet but maybe it's different at their other location. Don't know if they do less sweet but that's my suggestion to anyone that tries their drink.

  • Tri T.

The price was reasonable considering how big the cups are. Still think the workers could be more positive and give us some sort of smile but giving us an attitude of someone who doesn't want to work here. Everything is clean but did not make a big impression on me.

I prefer the Arcadia location since its close to santa Anita mall but this location is great too! I think its a little more roomier here. They need more locations considering the popularity it has. Close to walmart yet still in the sgv just how i like it. My favorite type of drink is their frosted signature milky. The crisp cold milk and flavor of choosing with boba hits the spot. I don't think the frosted signatures have tea (it's just boba milk instead of boba milk tea i think?) the shaved ice inside is tasteless though and dilutes the drink too much. Their boba has a sweet taste to it , which i like since it's not plain. Its nice they have customization of how little or much boba or egg pudding you want included. Their stamp cards are great too. (Except for the incident where someone stole the stamper and they voided old cards then accepted them again after they found the stamper and wasted my entire stamps since they threw it away after changing their mind. Fair move guys. -_-) that aside , honey boba is my favorite boba shop so far

Just the other night I purchased a peach tea with Boba it was the nastiest thing I had ever tried. The tea tasted like perfume. My boyfriend went and told the girl that it tasted like perfume and she exchanged it so then I tried the new one it still tasted like perfume just less. I was about to get up and let them know what was going on and the girl closed the doors. Nasty tea and nasty customer service.

Very nice interior...wish there were more outlets, but I was just making a quick stop for today. The girl taking our order was very nice and helpful as well. We got: Lavender milk tea with boba and pudding: Pudding was soft and boba was sweet and chewy...no qualms there. The lavender was also light and relaxing, and it really made the milk tea very delicious, but it was a bit too sweet for my liking. Green tea no sugar with fruit jelly: I got barely any fruit jelly in my cup, which was a bummer and it didn't taste very good anyway. The tea itself was bitter, which is common in most lower boba joints, but perhaps I was too hopeful from honeyboba? I feel like it'd be a 3 or even 4 star if my green tea wasn't so awful...I threw away 95% of the drink. What a waste :( If I ever come back, maybe I'll stick with black tea no sugar and perhaps the grass jelly...

Not sure what all the subpar reviews are about, I really like the drinks here, and while I'm not a boba connoisseur I do love milk tea and have been drinking it for 10+ years since my college days. I usually don't get boba but I decided to one day and man, they got some tasty boba! I probably won't get it again only cuz I don't care for it but it was still good. The place is clean, the service is quick and the ppl are pleasant. Definitely recommend!

  • Anna H.

This location is definitely closer than the Arcadia branch but at the same time, lacks the quality that the Arcadia spot offers. The teas are okay; it's definitely on the sweeter side and I prefer my drinks to be on the less sweet spectrum. Service is usually quick and has a lot of seating compared to its Arcadia counterpart. They have outdoor as well as indoor seating so if you don't like the loud music and middle schooler chats inside, have a seat outside and enjoy the parking lot scenery (just kidding! haha). Would I come again? If I'm craving boba while running errands at Wal-Mart, then yes. But if I'm not in that area, I would just go to Half&Half.

I really freaking love this place me and my boyfriend come here all the time. We came today and tryed some new bobas this is our second time here and were hocked. Decoration: I like the yellow and grey color scheme. There is a long couch row and multiple tables for you to sit at. My friends had a larger party get together here and it fit us well. The bathrooms are very clean. Drinks: I had the lychee tea with boba and it tasted good. Not too sweet and you can still taste the tea part of it. However, I saw a long line of people waiting for their drinks after me. I guess I was one of the lucky ones who got their drinks on time. Some people looked frustrated with the slow service. Overall: I will come back here if I am in the area. I understand there is another one in Arcadia that is pretty good too.

Drinks: I ordered the almond coffee slushy, drink itself was ok, I tasted a bit of taro taro in it. Price: Average price is $3+ depending if you want to add additional toppings; boba, jelly, etc. Decor: Looks like this was open very recently as everything looked pretty new. Overall: I would come back to this franshice. I tried the one in Santa Anita/Arcadia one. The sweet tea drinks are good.

While not my favorite boba joint, I come here relatively often because it's close to my boyfriend's house. The inside is nice and spacious, and there's a decent amount of tables both inside and outside if you decide to come here with friends and hang out. I usually get jasmine green tea with boba. The tea itself is decent: it's sweetened just enough and I can actually taste the tea. However, the tea has a very bitter aftertaste, which I don't hate, but don't love either. I've definitely had better jasmine green tea elsewhere. HOWEVER, the boba here is superb. 9/10 times the boba is perfectly chewy and perfectly sweet, so props to them for that. My boyfriend has tried pineapple iced tea, blueberry iced tea, and green apple iced tea, which were all okay, but not great. Also, the wait time here can get annoying. My drinks always take a while to come, even if I'm the only person there. Other than that, this is a decent place to get boba.

  • Anthony R.

Its a good place to get some boba and good spot to socialize. They have lots of flavors and the price for the drinks are good. But the flaw is that the orders take a while to get cause of low staffing. Other than that good place to get your boba on.

Parking: Walmart parking lot. Plenty of parking but maybe not during black friday lol Got the mango snow/slush. Avoid that since it was really sour but when i added milk to it, it tasted pretty good. My friend got the snowy milky. It is really really sweet. If I were to get it again I would get it with maybe half the sugar/syrup. And a heads up, snowy drinks with lots of stuff packed in it is a bad idea. You might as well just get shaved snow and ask for a spoon. So I suggest getting either a snowy drink with less topping and less sugar or a drink. I wouldn't suggest coming here at night to study. It was pretty loud and packed. There aren't any convenient outlets so that can be a pain.

I had a fundraiser here recently, and I really enjoyed it, being that it was my first time going here and trying their drinks. I got the frosted milky with boba and pudding, it's so bomb. This place is like Half and Half without the hour long wait. The boba is chewy and the pudding is divine. The service is fairly quick and friendly. Ilike how you can customize your drink by sweetness and toppings. It's neat just like the store. I'd go again whenever I need to stop by Wal-Mart.

Pretty good boba.. still can't compare to half and half though. The tea is really strong! I could not sleep after having a cup.

Looking at the reviews, prior to this date, I can't find any 4-5 stars of this review that has even described how this place is delicious or great at all. DRINK QUALITY: If you're serving anything tea based, the best kind of quality of drink you're ever going to get is dependent on your tea. That said, let's stroll with a 1/4 syrup passion fruit tea with no sugar. Taste? Supremely bitter. It's the kind of bitter that stems from over brewing your tea to an extreme end, to the point where you might as well compare the taste any Chinese Herbal Soup containing cockroach skins in it (and yes I know how that particular 14-herb mixture soup, that has the consistency of rice porridge, tastes like.) The moment it enters your mouth you're immediately hit with a harsh, pungent bitterness that overcasts any hint of floral flavors. This bitterness sits even as an overtone, and only until the aftertaste can you finally taste the tea. In ADDITION, you can tell the ratio of tea leaves to water is off because it's diluted. The tea is thin as water with no smoothness, creaminess, nor heftiness whatsoever. No texture complexity. This is definitely not a freshly brewed batch either. Milk tea with boba? The texture is still thin, meaning they're using creamer and not milk unless on certain drinks. I drank the entire cup only to find it confusing about whether I was drinking milk tea or melted, diluted ice cream. All bitterness is drowned out by the screaming typhoon of sugar and milk mixed with the honey from the boba; there goes the last chance in trying to find the floral taste of -- what was this drink called again? -- tea. How do they make their drinks? Any drinks? Get a blender container then scoop a lot of ice (to shock the tea), pour tea from dispenser, pump an x number of syrup + sugar, add creamer if milk tea drink. Place onto blender, pulse once, then pour into container (containing boba or no boba). That's what they considered as "mixing". So what makes great tea? Definitely not here because of it's overall lack of good, floral, and balanced flavors that should make you smile and say "ahh" when you know you've had a sip of great tea.

While the BOBA itself tastes wonderful, the drinks are OKAY. The Smoothies are NOT REAL fruits; they are syrup. the cups are not cups... theyre bowls. if you are on the road expecting this to fit in your cup holder, Forget it! The Regular size cup/bowl will not fit.

Honeyboba took over Red Ribbon Bake Shop! I saw this place on my way to Wal-Mart with my boyfriend and boy was I happy! Parking here is free for all compared to the one in Arcadia especially during after-school hours. There was no one here 'cept for a group of 2 sitting outside- which is a good thing for now. I'm hoping they can figure out a way to share the drive thru option with Panda Express... Probably not but fingers crossed!

Oh Honeyboba! I like the fact that there is a boba place so close to my house that i can walk or bike too, but you guys are seriously understaffed -____-'' Whenever i come here and order my usual which is the "icy milk drink w/ honey boba and grass jelly" it always takes about 15-20 minutes to get my drink. The area that they built the store in is lacking parking even though it's in the huge Walmart parking lot. The drinks are also inconsistent some days it'll be wayy too sweet and the others it seems as though they forgot to add in sugar. If i'm ever craving boba and something sweet this place is always my go to spot, otherwise i'll drive a couple more minutes down to hit up places like Le Arbre or Tea Brick. Also for those that are looking for a part time job, they have a flier outside offering a hourly rate of $9! :)

  • Bryan S.

Great boba joint! Definitely holds it's own against all the other good ones in the area. I do prefer this place over half and half boba because of the variety. I've never been disappointed at this place and plan on achieving dukedom ;)

  • Nat O.

I ordered 6 different drinks and waited over 30 minutes, this is stinks! The place looks new and pretty nice with 3 fancy chandelier hanging inside their venue. When we arrived, many people are inside. Initially, I thought they were hanging out but I quickly realized they are all waiting for their drinks! 1 cashier and 2 dudes + 1 cleaning/refilling crew in the back. Definitely under staff for the amount of customer waiting around for their $4 drinks. The boba is average and nothing special about their product. So, that was my first and last time spending my $$ and waited over 30 minutes for drink!

  • Mitch D.

Their prices are fair and the drinks aren't overly sweet. Wait times are relatively short compared to half and half. Knocked it one star for the terrible EDM music blasting through their speakers.

  • Jessica W.

I came here for the first time yesterday and ordered the Ghirardelli caramel milk tea with boba in the regular size. It wasn't that great but it wasn't bad either. The boba was good though. There was a line when I got there but only a few people so I didn't have to wait long. After I ordered I probably only waited for less than 10 minutes to get my drink.

    (3)
  • Cassie H.

Two stars for good not too sweet Boba. Minus three stars for wait time The lines are long and the service is too slow. There were 5 people in front of me and it took over 25 mins for my drinks. This is my second time here and the wait time has always been long. I thought it was slow last time cuz they were short staffed. I love the Arcadia location better. Not planning to come back to this location.

My fav boba place! I always order the jasmine green milk tea either with boba or grass jelly. I love that it is always consistent. I never complain that it is too sweet or the boba is too soft or hard. Everything is always just right. The best part is that it's fast and I never have to wait too long. I've been to the other Honeyboba in Arcadia and the wait takes a little longer than this one. I like that it also has a large, shared parking lot. You can always find a spot.

After I moved to LA, I was going around town just to search for the best boba! I came across honeyboba after I was done shopping at walmart and my bf and I ordered the raspberry green tea and honey green tea with boba. I like how they have those fat boba cups like half&half! Their boba was actually cooked to perfection and really chewy. Unlike their boba, their drinks were average. The raspberry tea tastes like fruit syrup with tea and the honey green tea was a little too sweet. Maybe I just didn't get the right drinks?

First time at honeyboba. Stopped by after visiting the super-walmart that shares the same carpark. We got a drink with pudding in and it was pretty tasty. Took quite a while to be made though which is why it got 3 stars. They do have a huuge drinks menu which is good.

  • Kelsey W.

I love Honeyboba! I like the concept of the boba place, as its fresh, hip, clean and welcoming. There's ample room here to study, if you'd like to do that, and tvs if you're just here to chill with some friends. I ordered the frosted signature milky with honey boba and pudding and it is so yummy! It was ready quickly too. The one thing I don't totally appreciate are the huge cups because they won't fit into your cupholder, and it is a shiz ton of liquid to drink. Keep this in mind...otherwise, definitely a must-try!

  • Kristy S.

The first time I went, service was slow because there was maybe 1 guy making drinks, but it seems like they've figured it all out! Now, whenever I go there on the weekend there seem to be at least 3 people making drinks. This has made service sooo much faster! The drinks are good, as usual. I fell in love with the original Honeyboba in Arcadia, so I was hoping this would be as good--and it is!! The iced milk drinks are as good as, if not better than, Half and Half's. The honey boba is amazing, too. The boba is always fresh and warm and so much more pleasant to chew. I hate overly chewy/hard boba that feel like a rock sitting in my stomach. I was originally confused by the drink titles ("Ice crystals??") but the ice crystals are just ice blended drinks (slushies). I've tried the pineapple ice crystals and the mango-yogurt ice crystals. Neither was overly sweet/syrupy, but I think I liked the mango-yogurt better. The pineapple was too plain for me, but they do put SOME pineapple chunks in to make it seem fresh haha.

If you don't like sweet, don't get the caramel. I always stay with milk tea + boba+ grass jelly. I prefer this place than Half and Half.

    (4)
  • Alyssa M.

Love the honey boba here, but the drinks itself are not as good. If there's anything I would get, it's off the frosted milky section. I usually have to mix my drink well and wait for a little ice to melt too because it is way too sweet for me. Everything else seems like powdered concoctions. I'm not into the fruity drink + boba thing either, but I know a lot of people have been happy with their fruity slushies.

On the level of tea houses categorized with Quickly, Lollicup, Tapioca Express, and Half & Half...I think this place is not bad, not bad at all. You can't really compare this place to the premium tea breweries like Ten Ren's and Tea Stations, but for what it is...it's good enough. And perhaps I am also a sucker for any establishment that offers regular sized beverage in a form of a small bowl. Drinks are reasonably priced and in fact cheaper than most of the boba places around. The milk slushes aren't as good as the iced milks at Honey Boba, but there are plenty other Items worth ordering: -peach tea -red guava tea with Amber jelly or aloe -rose milk tea Hopefully, they'll be able to add snack items to their menu because some yummy popcorn chicken with basil never hurt anyone!

Best Boba Milk Teas!!!! The boba Is always fresh and the portions are perfect. Love it here--just wished they opened a little earlier.

Honey Boba is the best boba you'll ever have! It's sweet, but not overwhelming at all. They have so many options for all kinds of customers, if you like boba, but don't like the typical frothy iced drinks you have a simple tea option. Also, they offer a lot of different puddings, and other sweeteners for your drink that offer the same consistency as the honey boba. One thing I wish that they'd do a little different, is offer natural sweeteners for your actual drinks instead of powders or very sugary sweeteners so that I could visit more often without feeling guilty. Still, I love Honey Boba! Oh and a smaller size for kids would be nice! :)

  • Kim R.

Honeyboba will always be my favorite to go place for tea drinks. I have tried other places and i always tend to fall back to here because of the boba. One reason is because the place looks really clean and well decorated and an open kitchen where i can see how my drink is made. Price is around 4-5$ depending which drink you get and additional toppings you add in. One of my favorite drink will be the almond milk tea with boba and i do recommend to those who haven't tried it :)

  • Joy M.

I didn't get boba or jelly in my tea, strange... And weird, yes I know. I haven't had boba since college and I'm not about to tell you how long ago that was. I don't know if it's the calorie count that scares me or if I just don't like chewing balls in my drinks. Don't be thinking nasty thoughts ya perv :P My cousin suggested we go here instead of Half & Half. I don't really have an allegiance to a specific place and she claims that the stuff tastes better here. Whatever, I just wanted to hang out with her. I ordered an almond milk tea. I like to keep things safe and it didn't disappoint. They don't serve food so we ended up bringing over snacks from the market. The staff didn't say a thing. The two things I noticed 1) Decor. I heart black and yellow. For more reason than one mind you 2) The cup sizes are out of control. One of their mondo ginormous cups could probably fill you up for lunch or dinner. Will I go back? Most likely. No problems to report thank you very much!

Careful with this place! Once i discovered this place i went almost every night for 2 weeks straight! Haven't tasted a bad drink from this place and I'm an adventurous person so I've tried most of the menu. stick to the small one unless you're like me an sip half of it on the way home! I recommend the Honeydew with Boba or the Peach Tea with Aloe.

Came here after volunteering for an organization. People have compared this place to Half-&-Half. I could definitely see why when I saw their cups which were very similar. Like always, I order an iced milk drink that comes with boba, pudding, and caramel. The price is not bad at all. Not bad . 3.79. Also, I suggest that you get a regular because there is no volume difference at all between a regular and a large so why pay extra? The drink came out fairly quickly, and it tasted sweet and delicious. The frostiness was the right amount, and the boba was sweet and chewy. I would also like to point out that this place accepts card ! Overall, this is definitely a great place for the drink that I purchased, but I cannot vouch for the other drinks.

I came two minutes before this place was about to close but the workers were still friendly and were not reluctant at all to serve us. I've heard many things about this place being overrated and not that good but for some reason now I find myself craving Honey Boba everyday. I wish to come back again for more boba.

This review is strictly for teas** Consisting of several flat screen 55" television everywhere, about 4-5 to be exact, Honey boba is the fanciest and most modern boba shop I've ever seen, and I've visited many. They've definitely going above and beyond for a boba shop, has a lounge-ish feel. I'll sip my boba watching Nemo or a Pixar 3D movie :) It's located in the same humongous plaza as Walmart. Don't fret, here, you'll never have to fight nor worry about finding parking. You'll also have the opportunity to wander Walmart afterwards. The drinks are delicious and cheap! This place makes great tea, the days of slushies are over...bye bye Tastea, you are so 2000. For $3, you get the giant cup, not your regular, typical boba cup but, rather the one that isn't suitable for the cupholder LOL It's like 1.5 of the regular size, who needs the bigger size...get ready to use the restroom. Comming from OC, boba shops are poppin everywhere and the price has gone up while volume has gone down. Love this place, quality tea and generous amount..what more can you ask for from a boba place!? I got a honey oolong iced tea, taste delicious. Being a tea drinker, I can tell this place uses quality tea, it's not passive. Its got a distinguish taste and is a little stronger. Overall, I'll definitely come back next time I'm in town. Great service, delicious and, cheap tea : ) Too bad they aren't in OC.

Service is great, I always come here because I live literally a block away. I always always get their taro smoothie! Definitely one of the best I've tried in the 626

Customer Service doesn't exist! They don't smile or say thank you at all... When they call my number to pick up the drink, I felt like I'm a prisoner... I went there about 8 times in the past couple of months just hoping that the service would get better... I just keep getting cravings for honey boba once in a while but, I don't really want to go if I don't have to because of the unfriendly atmosphere... Frosty signature drinks get watery fast, taro slush needs more flavor; I agree with others about choosing Half & Half over this place... I will say one good thing about this place though; the lines are usually short & fast ;) Also, the Panda Express right next to it has really good Peach Green Tea for half the price! Plus it's a drive-thru ;)

The best place to come if your very adventurous and fast service as well... SOOOOOOO GOOOD. Oh and btw its not just boba is BOBAAAAA!!! Humungous portions well worth your time and money.

Walk in today to purchase a boba and first thing i saw was an emplyee with no shirt on. Very unprofessional! ! Once the employee saw a line creating all she did was put the shirt back on and didn't bother to button it up. I dont care how hot a work place can be. Keep your clothes on!

I've had a couple milk teas at this place. It's really nothing too special and I guess it could satisfy a milk tea craving. I just think there's so many other boba places in the area to choose from that you shouldn't come to this joint unless your coming from Walmart or you have no transportation to drive down to Valley st. My milk teas have personally been either too sweet or too watered down. I feel a Jasmine milk tea should have the bold aftertaste of the green tea, but here the jasmine milk tea almost tastes like no tea was used. Drinks are alright, staff is friendly enough, but this place is nothing to rave about.

  • Yvette O.

The boba here is really good! There is a lot of choices to pick from. The menu can be overwhelming since there is sooo much to pick from. The ambience is hip and cool. My only complaint is the music can be super loud at times....but my ears are pretty sensitive too. The wait for your drinks may take a while...I think its because they are super busy or it just takes a while to get the drinks out. I went yesterday and noticed they did not have a lot of boba...so if you like boba you may want to ask for extra. Overall its a hidden little gem in the walmart plaza....I love that it is so close!

    (4)
  • Jennifer N.

This place was "OK". The line was short when I arrived, but shortly got quite long. The cashier seemed quite bored and wasn't all that friendly. I ordered the signature frosty milk w/honey boba THINKING it can compare to half&half or ten ren's, but it simply does not! I might come back to try the teas since the one in Arcadia was pretty good. I probably won't ever order the frosty milk again...it was way to watery!

  • Sze Y.

No surprise, another boba place in the San Gabriel Valley! Honeyboba is located right across Walmart. And like others have said, this place is pretty comparable to Half & Half. They have all your typical boba-places drinks. They have things you can add to the drink like Boba, Aloe Jelly, Pudding, etc. Similar to Half & Half, their cup sizes are huge! Defitintely too big to fit my cup holder, so I like to finish my drink before getting back into my car. Luckily they have plenty of indoor and outdoor seating available. Their drinks are decent, and its a nice location if you're in the area and don't want to drive a couple of miles to the other boba places, or if you're thristy after shopping at Walmart.

Honeyboba is the best boba spot on Earth!!

    (5)
  • Ken C.

One dead giveaway that this place has quality boba is the size of their kitchen. It's huge. They don't offer any food items - only dozens and dozens of variations of teas and drinks. If you peek in their kitchen, you see the boba cooking over their stovetop. Boba needs to be kept warm in order to have the soft, chewy texture that you enjoy. Once it starts to cool down, the middle starts to harden. Hard boba is as enjoyable as old fries. When you drink their teas...they're balanced and the boba is warm. Just as it should be. The drinks - as you can get in half and half - are huge. Expect to spend $4-5 on a drink, but the drinks are as large as something you'd get in a big-gulp container. I think that you get good tea and boba for a reasonable price here.

    (4)
  • Christine N.

I ordered the passion fruit green tea and I liked the shape of the drink, it's definitely different than most places. I think people should go here and try this place just to see how big the boba cups are. My friends have been hyping up this place so I was very excited to try it for the first time. Had some of my drink and it wasn't the best but it wasn't the worst. I just felt like this wasn't worth driving from Irvine to Rosemead for. And the drink is something you can get at the local boba shop. But if you are in the area and are looking for affordable, big size, decent tasting boba drinks then this is a good choice.

    (3)
  • Sean N.

Indeed it is guys! Honeyboba is one of the top boba places here in Rosemead. Going from milk teas to slushies and smoothies are the most delicious drinks to get on your free time or to just hangout w/ a friend. But the sad part is that they don't have any snacks to buy to munch on. However, Honeyboba still remains as a famous boba place in the 626 area today. : )

  • Tiffany C.

I usually don't write reviews but I just have to for this place. I was super excited to hear about a boba place opening up near my area but when you have to wait more than 20 mins for one drink ....that's just ridiculous! Overall, Yummy boba but slow as a turtle! Hurry the F up back there!!

First time here yesterday and I didn't know what to order so I ask the lady at the front desk. She recommended milk tea with pudding and boba. My husband and I loved it.

This is my first time at this honeyboba and overall, it was a nice experience. The workers were nice and patient with me, and the atmosphere was nice. I came around 9 pm, and it started getting really packed when I was leaving, so whew! Good thing I missed the rush. I got a chocolate banana milk tea with boba, and I thought that was okay. A little too sweet but I did get chocolate...banana...AND milk tea, WITH boba. So no surprises there. If you are thinking of getting that, I suggest don't get it with boba. If I come back next time, I'm going to try something else.

    (4)
  • William M.

Yeah, yeah...I have been coming to Honeyboba more often. But I do still prefer Lollicup over the fancy smancy places. With that said, I like this location a lot more than the one in Arcadia. Its a bigger store, more room and more tables. Parking lot is a lot bigger too since in the same plaza as Walmart. I did find a new drink here, I think its called the Mocho Cappuccino Milk Tea (or something like that). Pretty good, but wished it had more coffee flavor. This place might be my goto Boba when I'm in the area and I want a Big Gulp sized boba.

Today i went to honey boba i placed my order at 4:30 i show up 30mins.later i get there they dont even have the drinks ready. It was a waste of time and had to listen to there excuses. DON'T GO THERE IT'S A WASTE OF TIME.!

Decided to try out this new boba next to Walmart. Place looked very sophisticated had many drink choices on the menu. There was no line but noticed many people sitting down waiting for their drinks.... Little did we know that we were going to be forced to lounge around for fourty minutes til our drinks were ready. The cashier was being trained by another employee with really bad training skills, we felt bad for this new employee. Although the traineer was by the cash register training the new employee she did not bother to help out in the back to get the drinks for the people that were patiently waiting. After a few long agonizing painful minutes miss know it all decided to help the people in the back after what seemed like hours. When we finally got our drinks, our milk tea tasted like a combination of many different fruits and teas, due to not cleaning the blender, in which many other orders were prepared in. The two people in the back were in such a rush, they had no time to clean causing the cooking area to be very messy and unsanitary. Despite our bad experience we are willing to give this place another chance due to their opening, it could be hard to run a shop and takes time to get people trained.

We have come to Honey Boba a couple times. The first time was to try it, but the 2nd was more because of the convenience of location, meaning, if it wasn't local, I probably would not have returned. There was a line out the door on Sunday afternoon. No kidding - they really are understaffed here. I ordered the Fresh Milk Jasmine Tea with Honey Boba. Now, what is the difference between that and Jasmine Milk Tea, you ask? I found out the disappointing way. Fresh Milk Jasmine Tea: Sweetened Jasmine Tea with Whole Milk. Jasmine Milk Tea: Sweetened Jasmine Tea with Creamer. I requested for the Fresh Milk Jasmine Tea, made with Cream instead of milk. (I was under the impression that since the staff specified that it was made with "Whole Milk" that regular Jasmine Milk Tea would have been made with like, 2% or something (you know, like at Starbucks). Nope. I got the wrong drink and upon pickup, it felt like such a huge favor to ask them to remake my drink, and on top of that, I wasn't about to wait another 15 minutes (3rd quarter was over and I didn't want the beau to miss the 4th). The biggest disappointment was that my "Fresh Milk Jasmine Tea" was not fresh. We both tried it and detected a soured milk taste. Damn, there goes $4. It's in the name; It should be fresh milk! Or at the very least, not sour milk, please. I can't say how good the tea was; the milk overpowered it. The boba itself was good, but all things considered: customer service, (inaccurate) menu descriptions, the long wait, and the price, it was a rip off. I've definitely had better, and for a lower price.

The first time I tried this place, I was amazed. Their drinks were amazing. I got the lavendar milk tea with boba. I love their boba because it is always warm and sweet. The second time I came here, I got a regular oolong hot tea. I thought it would just taste bland, but it was instead sweet and very flavorful. The place itself is in a nice location. There was plenty of parking when I went, and the ambience inside is nice as well. This seems like a nice place to just chill with some friends!

SO far, my favorite boba spot. I've been here several times and I have loved it every single time. One of my favorites is the Strawberry pudding one with boba. The one problem I have are the bobas, they aren't hard enough (That's what she said). Sometimes the bobas are too soft and I dont like that. The staff are real friendly and helpful on helping you decide what to order. The place is real nice with huge big screen TVs and Chandeliers. If you are in the area and are a fan of boba, you have to try.

I've been meaning to pay Honeyboba a visit for a while now. I came to this location a month ago and they were not open. Came here again last Saturday and tried their strawberry milk drink with honey boba + pudding. Verdict? Yum!! It tasted just like Half & Half, equally delicious. But again, what's with the oversized cups?! It doesn't fit in my cup holder... I'd like to come back to try their milk tea, that's what makes or breaks a boba joint. We shall see! Until next time!

Their strawberry slush with ice crystals is one of my favorite drinks here!

Honey Boba Rosemead is merely a boba place that is pretty much a fad. I had friends say that it is better than Half and Half, and Ten Ren, that isn't the case for me. I went there last night and I ordered the sesame milk tea, and it tasted alright. Now that I think about the drink, it was a bit too sweet. They should do a better job of grinding the sesame seeds because the ground seeds had a coarse, grainy texture and they got stuck in my throat at one point and I choked a bit. The quality was lacking and I felt that Half and Half and Ten Ren is better. I'll still come here whenever I'm in the mood for boba because it's much more closer to my house. Plus, it's a hassle for me to have my mom to drive me all the way to Monterey Park for Half and Half (Have you seen the gas prices lately?!). If you are willing to go for something better, don't come here.

    (3)
  • Jennie W.

I love honey boba but Omg.. this location is sooooooo slow! Waited 30 mins just to get one drink. How is it possible that it takes about 5 minutes per drink?!?!

  • Roy T.

I'm a huge fan of boba milk tea. I think the boba milk tea is pretty good, but could be better. The milk tea flavor is a similar caliber to Au79 and Tea Station, but the boba is always slightly too firm which takes a away from my overall boba milk tea experience. The service here is always great. I would definitely come here if I need a quick boba fix.

This place has a lot to choose from. I got a Vanilla Carmel Smoothie it was Bomb.Com!! Only thing that was annoying was the wait! They also kinda half ass it on the boba!! That sh!t ain't cool!! Over all this place is Aight! Not the best bit sight..

The drinks are really tasty. Boba is good too. Lots of parking. But the only bad thing and the most important things for a business is service. There are only 4 employees working on the day I came which was Saturday, and it was crazily busy. I had to wait 10m for my order, and that was fine with me because they were busy. I saw my drinks on the table along with other guests' but the cashier did not do anything with it. She just let it sit there while the guests waiting for their drinks. Bad bad bad. Other than that, there is wifi, plenty of seats, and the music is good too. Good place for hanging out.

Good boba, the right amount of chewy. I always order the milk tea with boba and red bean. I've also had a milk tea with boba and lychee jelly. Yummy. Same short/wide cup style as Half & Half. Cool, hip interior. Plenty of seating from half booths to high tables. Even has a few tables outside. Clean bathrooms. Club music playing in the background on the LCD screens. Best part--they accept credit cards. Half & Half does not. I always stop by a few times during trips to LA. Perfect during or after work or as an after dinner stop with friends or co-workers. So glad they opened!

I don't know what all the haters here are talking about, but I think it's pretty good! Yeah, sure, their service is OKAY in terms of serving since they barely opened and seem to be understaffed. I usually get my drinks in around five minutes, unlike other places (Half and Half, AU79, etc). Their frosty signature milk drinks are the best imo. I love the chocolate + boba + pudding, which is just $3.79 for a small fat-cupped size! I think the girl that works at the register is polite and pretty heheh (: It's usually empty on Fridays and that's when I get it here. Of all three times coming here since opening day, none has been a disappointment. I was fortunate enough to know the secret phrase to even get an additional 15% discount hahah! She was so kind that she'd allow me to say the phrase and get a discount even after the discount deadline day passed one day ago! I never had any trouble ordering from this place. There's indoor and outdoor seating. Atmosphere is decent. They put up American movies up on their mounted screens here and there. There's a big parking lot shared with Walmart, no biggies. This teahouse is located next to Panda Express and Subway, right across from Walmart! Hoping to see more employees here in the near future!

This place is no beuno! i came in a couple of nights ago with my cousin because she was feining for some drinks. I had been to Honeyboba once before, and it was aiiight, so we decided to go back. I ordered a large mango green tea and my cousin got a large taro smoothie. Her drink came out kinda bland; it was not sweet enough because they didn't put enough flavor in it, but it was drinkable. My drink, on the other hand, was gawdawful! It was sooooooooo bitter! I've had mango teas elsewhere and they were so much better. When I went back to the cashier, I explained to her that there was something wrong with my drink, that I know that it was not supposed to taste so bitter, she tried to tell me that the bitterness was from the tea..because apparently, I had gotten green tea, if I got black tea it would have been better. Well, even though she was a nice girl, she was wrong. I've had green teas before, it was never like this. My tea was bitter because they had it sitting for the whole day and it was probably the last of the pot. Instead of giving me recently made tea, they just gave me what was stewing there. Either way, she asked me if I wanted them to make it again, but I didn't want to have them make the same thing and have a disappointment again so I asked her if i could just change my order to something else on the menu. So I order an almond smoothie, which she told me if I got a smoothie, then I had to pay an extra charge. I asked if i were to get the smaller size, then would I have to pay for the charge, and she called over some guy to talk to me. He was horrible, condensing attitude and all. Anyway wwhateeeverrr. I paid for the damn charge and he went to make my smoothie. When he came back, he brought over a drink and said "mango smoothie?" with a fake ass smile. I looked around the place waiting for someone to go pick up the drink but he kept looking at me...ummmm...who ordered a mango smoothie? Not I. When I told him that I didn't order a mango, that I said I wanted an almond smoothie, boy rolled his eyes. OMG. Really? The first drink was all kinds of disgusting, then you make a wrong one, and you roll your eyes at me? RUDE! In the end, I got my almond smoothie, which was fine. But I will never go back. Such a horrible place.

Yes! Finally Honeyboba is open. Been waiting for a while for this place to try it out. I would usually go to the Arcadia one to get some honeyboba, but now there's one near me so I don't have to drive so far. Honeyboba is located right inside the Walmart Plaza. There's obviously tons of parking everywhere since you're at a Walmart. This place is pretty much similar to the other. All the items here seem to be the same as the other location. I got myself a frosted signature milky honey boba + pudding + caramel. Though this may be much more expensive than other boba shops ($3.79), its is worth it due to its size and contents. The drink itself tasted as it should but the boba and pudding was a bit on the hard side. I hopefully they will fix this. Service slower that day. I came on the second day after it opened at night. There was quite a bit of people there order drinks. Only 2 people were working in the back. Overall, it was pretty much what I expected. I am of course a fan of honeyboba and they did nothing wrong with my drink except for hard boba, which I'll let slide.

Honeyboba's drinks are really good and another plus is the wait for the drinks isn't long.

Pretty terrible -_- I ordered a red sunset Thai tea with puddling and boba. At first I thought the drink was weird by the look of it cause the drink was a light orange. Aren't Thai tea suppose to be at least orange or dark orange in color? I thought maybe it's just the color thats weird, maybe it won't taste. Took a sip and immediately devastated. It tasted nothing like Thai tea at all. All I tasted was the honey from the honey boba. Extremely disappointed. Never again!

If you're a fan of BOBA, you will love Honeyboba! The selection is vast. My personal favorites are the Taro Milk Tea and the Barley Milk Tea. SOOOO good and worth the drive. You can take your drink to-go or stay and chill in the sexy seats. There is always a line, so be prepared to wait. It's not too bad, but if you're fiendin' like a crack whore, you may end up regretting your actions at the end of the day. I personally get so excitable when I get to finally puncture the boba seal and take that first mega gulp. Cup sizes come in bathtub or fish tank--SO BIG--but strangely, never enough. Good Stuff.

........ If we are just rating the Boba pearls, i'll give them five stars. The drinks are slightly too sweet for my taste. But good nevertheless

Their drinks are consistently refreshing and delicious. You can never go wrong with the milky honey boba. Their service is speedy and friendly. Parking is easy because it shares a lot with Walmart.

I heard about this place from a co-worker. I've had bobas from various places including half and half, tea station, and various others asian cafe. I would rate honey boba average in terms of the taste. I ordered the earl grey black tea with boba and pudding. I felt like the tea was a bit over sweetened although not as much as half and half. The black tea was pretty strong, which is the way I like it. I understand that they would customize your drink to how you like so next time I would try less sugar. The pudding had good texture and was not as sweet. The boba were chewy and also felt like it was cooked with honey cause they were also sweetened. I do like the place for it's quick service and ample parking. The taste is not bad at all, just not the best. I would definitely recommend it to anyone needing a quick fix of boba in the area.

I was here earlier today and boyyy was it hot and crowded (where's the ac?) Anyways, customer service was great, I think her name was lisa when I asked but she was really friendly and she knew my drink already since I am a frequent customer :) Other than that, everything was great except it's HOT INSIDE and new movies please lol

This place is the Kim Kardashian of Boba Tea. They have big ass cups, big ass tv's in this little ass place, a big ass amount of ice in the bowl/cup, some nice ass chandeliers (why I don't know) and cost a huge ass amount of money. Other than that, I got a passion fruit green tea with jelly. The tea was good.

This place is good. They don't have food on the menu so if you're looking for a snack don't come here! Well I didn't see any food menus anyways. lol Their jasmin milk tea was decent it taste better cold and with boba. and their boba wasn't hard it was perfect. This place actually isn't so bad, good drinks with good price. Cute worker so that was a plus. lllol ;) the only thing with over sized drink is that there are no cup holders for it!! D:

So glad this place is close to work. This place is in the same lot as the Walmart Supercenter. Best thing is that their's plenty of free parking. Not like those tight spaces in the SGV. Pricing wise, it is pretty standard for a place like this. I've never had a bad experience here yet. I do like the fact that they give you a punch card and you get a free drink on the 10th visit I believe. They do get very busy in the summer or around lunch time. Unlike the location in Arcadia, this place does not serve food. But they do have the place built out for food, but I haven't seen anything being prepared since they opened 2 years ago. They do have those big fat cups just like Half & Half does.

  • Kay N.

Cute little place. I like the fact that there wasn't a line like half and half. The boba was really really tasty and soft. The milk over it was okay, but I didnt mind it one bit. Got the Caramel Pudding Boba and the Strawberry Pudding Boba. I'll be coming back, plenty of parking and plenty of space; unlike half and half

Finally a decent boba place next to home! I would say the drinks are average.. I ordered a large passion fruit with rainbow jelly and boy are they stingy with the jelly. If you are looking for a place to study this Place is probably a no no. They have 6 TV screens with four of them playing the same thing for such a small place.

    (3)
  • Pete C.

Service was friendly. There are many TVs playing the same movie. There is plenty of parking in the Walmart Plaza. But I came here for some good boba, but I walked out with alright boba. I think the Arcadia Honeyboba is better.

Love this place! A friend of mine said I had to try it. So I did. Its really good. Service is pretty awesome pretty quick everytime I go. I am now addicted to honey boba. Simon the manager is awesome! Super friendly person always recommends drinks if you dont know what you want. They have a big selection. I love that they will gladly make you another drink if you dont like the one you ordered. Cute little spot great seating inside or out. Always playing good movies or music inside.

Great service and boba here. I usually get the honey dew milk tea, soft and chewy. It's $3.85 and .50 with boba. Place filled with wonderful amenities, warm and cozy. It also has a dew TVs with movies on. However, no good nor snacks for now...get your stamp card filled up but no discounts :(

They're open! Iced Milk w/xtra pudding and boba. Walked in at about 9pm. There were about 4 groups mainly (HS students). Walked up to the counter to order the usual as there was too many different options to choose from. I like to stick to what is good. Placed my order and took a seat to wait for my drinks. There were only 2 workers and it took a good 15 mins. They should have more workers. The drink tastes the same as the honeyboba in Arcadia but they are not as fast or efficient as the one in Arcadia.

My wife and I are big fans now. We love the frosted signature milky with pudding and honeyboba. We really like how the drink is not overwhelmingly sweet, but is milky and sweet enough with great pudding and Boba. We are big fans of ten ren's black sugar equivalent; it is our absolute favorite drink, but it is sometimes so sweet that we feel gross afterwards. The honeyboba formula just seems so perfectly yum, but not overwhelmingly sweet. The past few times we've been here, a nice girl was at the cashier with good enthusiasm. The other honeyboba location in Arcadia had very unprofessional staff who just cursed and joked around with each other like immature high schoolers at a party, seeming,y bothered when you try to order. This location is great and so far, no complaints about the service. I love the big cups too! Definitely gives ou your money's worth. New favorite spot!

I'm a huge Boba/Tapioca fan. I normally don't like to wait but I was lucky on my 4th visit because the line wasn't out the door. But did I get my drink fast? Nope. Hype about this place is over exaggerated. The few times that I've been there the registrar was so slow. The drinks are made slowly too. They're not even that good, nothing out of the ordinary for me. ( I only came back because its next to walmart and i wanted something to drink while i shop.) Maybe some people just go there for their "fat cups" but, personally, it's not worth it. If anything, ill go to half and half, for better drinks. Normally at a boba place I'd get my milk tea fairly quick. But here, you have to wait and to get your drink you have to swim through other customers who don't know how to move out of your way. They need to make a separate area for drink orders and drink pick ups! Ohhh a bit disturbing, but the girl working the cash register HAD A COLD the last time I went. Please, WASH YOUR HANDS, take some medicine, take a break and blow your nose, or just don't go to work. It's so unsanitary. ( she was constantly sneezing and wiping her snots) Anyways, drink came out, took a picture, instagramed it, then took a sip of my drink. Like always, eh. Something to fill my tummy while I walk through Walmart. I had the Green milk tea with grass jelly and boba ( and ordered it WITH HALF THE SWEETENER). I think ordering my drink with half the sweetener really helped enhance the flavor of the tea, but still getting that kick of sweetness. My boba had that perfect chewiness or the gelatinous texture. I usually never notice the difference between boba at different Asian dessert places - I mean, you just chew on it and not really taste anything, am I right? BUT, as my friend helped me realize, I was chewing chewing CHEWING on it! After every sip, it took me about a minute to chew down the boba properly before swallowing. Is it worth it? I'm not quite sure. It's definitely worth a try.

This Honey Boba beats the one in Arcadia. When I went, I received outstanding customer service. One of the workers named Dara told me there are different levels of sweetness that you can choose to add into your drink. What a life saver! I really enjoyed their Mango-Strawberry smoothie. Definitely coming back, but really wish they had wi-fi.

I was pretty upset at my last visit that I decided to actually write a review. I went into Honey Boba and ordered two Jasmine Milk Green tea and it took 30 minutes to get. There was no long lines and it wasn't even a difficult drink order. The drink itself wasn't that great (I ended up not even finishing it). There were 3 employees that walked around talking in the back, and when my drinks were on the counter, I had my receipt in hand to get it, but they completely ignored me for an additional 5 minutes, until finally I had to holler into the kitchen and ask for my drinks. You have 4 employees working; there is no excuse for such a long time for drinks to come out nor mediocre drinks.

Honestly if the drinks here weren't so sweet it would probably get 5 stars! But aside from that the boba is cooked perfectly, nice and soft and not all hard and chewy in the middle

I don't like writing bad reviews. But this one needs to be done! Honey boba was a pretty decent tea establishment... Until the teas started tasting awfully bitter, like Chinese herbal medicine. One sunny weekend morning, I decided to visit Honey Boba. I ordered my usual Grapefruit Green tea. Feeling good with my choice, I happily waited for my drink. After they called my order number, I picked up my drink, and quickly took a sip. I was hoping for the same satisfying feeling and taste. But what I got was totally disappointment. Fine, I was not happy. They have a sign posted by their casher, "If you are not satisfy with your drink..." So I did what a customer who was not satisfy would do. I told the cashier who took my order. I said, "there is something wrong, this tea is extremely bitter." She said, ok and handed my drink to the person who made it. He came to the counter to say..."you ordered the tea w/ half the sugar. This is green tea, it's suppose to be bitter." Lots of things were running through my mind. 1. "WTF?" 2. I'm the customer. 3. Don't make excuses for your mistakes. I replied with a grin and told the gentleman, "I drink tea a lot. I come here enough to know, it shouldn't taste like this." I kindly asked him, "did you taste it?" He said yes..."what would you like or I can add more sugar." By this time, I was done. I answered... "It's not the sugar, it's the way you all prepared the tea. Green tea is not suppose to taste extremely bitter." This was what...I was really thinking... "Don't ask me if I want more sugar. Don't try to cover the bad taste with more of it. All you need to do is make a fresh brew of green tea and replace the bad one." Of course that didn't happen. He was so fixated about green tea being bitter, he failed to see the whole picture. "Keep your customers satisfied, they will come back. Keep disappointing your customers, they won't come back." Finally, I ordered something else besides tea. Since then, I have "never" been back.

Too sweet. Got the lavender milk tea and I don't taste the lavender...half and half is better. Though the actual honey Boba is nice and chewy.

Flavourless, terrible, overly sugary drinks. They kind of cash in on the same kind of half and half large cups. I had jasmine milk tea and I couldn't taste any form of tea in there. I'm not sure who taught these guys to mix drinks, but Jasmine milk tea doesn't take nuerosurgeon skills. It's a relatively simple drink. Service was horrid, line was slow and out the door because they used no logic in laying out the actual facility itself. I felt bad that my friend paid because it was so abysmal. I may actually go back and try something else just because it's nearby me. But for now it gets a big buhao.

I came here to catch up with a couple friends, and the menu is quite extensive and albeit overwhelming. Nothing really stood out or seemed exceptional. The woman at the register was not the friendliest either. My friend was hungry for a snack and so we asked if there were any food items. She gave us a disgusted look as if we should have already known that they did not serve food, before grunting a no. Then asking about what exactly "royal milk" meant, she did not have an answer and had to ask a colleague. We waited nearly 20 minutes before receiving our drinks. I only liked that my drink was not overly sweet. Otherwise, the customer service was poor and the drinks were nothing exceptional.

I don't think I've given one star to any place based on food service but Honeyboba gets one. When I went there, I ordered ONE small milk tea boba and I was not in a hurry but I did look at my phone because I was expecting a phone call. It was 3:03 p.m. after I had ordered. There were a few groups of people before me and some after me. These groups ordered 2-4 drinks each. ALL OF THEM GOT THEIR DRINKS BEFORE ME. It wasn't until 3:18 p.m. that I got my ONE drink. It wasn't like the workers in the back weren't hustling either because you can see the back where they make the drinks and the workers were hurrying nonstop but for some reason DID NOT MAKE THE DRINK ORDERS IN ORDER. I counted and SIX GROUPS of people got their set of 2-4 drinks before I got mine. Waiting 15 minutes for ONE drink? Are you kidding? Even HALF AND HALF IN MONTEREY PARK has lines out the door and it does not take 15 minutes. Get your act together. I will go to TEA BRICK IN MONTEREY PARK, HALF AND HALF, TEN REN, LOLLICUP, TAPIOCA EXPRESS, AND BAHN MI CHE CALI instead of Honeyboba. I didn't even want to talk to the the cashier about it afterward because I wasn't going to spend one more second in Honeyboba. For the record, the boba was rubbery and overall the drink was no better than the places I listed. Edit: Just to be clear, half way through my wait I asked the cashier when my drink was coming then as two other workers came out to deliver other people's drinks, I asked both of them where my drink was also so I did talk to 3 people total while waiting.

I live about 2 miles away, so when I saw a boba shop was opening up close by, I was happy to welcome it. Honeyboba is a nice shop. The drinks themselves are OK, service is very friendly but abit slow on the serving of the drinks. Inside is decorated simple nice. I went with my neighbor and we usually like to go and have a drink and talk and people watch, with this said my only complaint is: turn down the freaking music. I can't hear myself or my friend talk. We actually only stayed for like 20 mins because the Music Volume was too Loud. With that said, I would go back. They are new and need a little tweak here and there.

There have been some negative reviews on this place, since it recently opened. Whether it was the wait or what not. I'm here to describe my personal experience: Located not more than 2 minutes away, this place is a "hidden" boba gem in an area where there's low traffic. Comparatively to other places located in the more centered Valley/ Main Street areas, this place was quite empty. Review: Me and my friend got the regular Boba with assorted drink flavors. (Milk Tea and Lychee Yogurt Slush) Both of the drinks were on point, and tasted just about the same as the competitors (Half n Half, or what have you) The service was polite, and fast. I was in and out in 10 minutes. Unfortunately this place isn't centered around any good places to eat, or more trafficked areas such as places on Valley, so there was little to do but get the drinks and go. My overall experience here was enjoyable and I'd come back if I needed a quick boba fix, and didn't want to travel to crowded places such as Valley Blvd.

I had been waiting for this place to open. There seemed to be a bunch of false starts here on yelp. Anyways they are located in the same plaza as Walmart. It's very far away from Walmart though. I thought about walking over to do some shopping after but was lazy and just drove closer. Haha. Anyways I came a little after lunch and there was a line. I was still in the store though and maybe only 4 groups ahead of me. As far as I could see they only have their menu on the TV. Good because there's no waste over paper menus. But since they have so many drinks on their menu, it's really tiny on the TV screen and you really have to wait till you're practically next in line to order before you can decide what you want. Maybe get some laminated menus soon please esp if the line goes out the door as I've read it does. The place is medium sized and looks brand new and clean. They have some regular tables by the wall. The rest are those high counter-like tables with stools. And they have some outdoor seating as well. One girl was taking orders out front and like 3 people was in the back taking orders. No food yet either. Hope they get some snacks soon. Got my regular sized (aka bucket full) mango green tea with honey boba. Same as all the honeyboba and half&half locations. Delicious and same priced too. Will be back esp whenever I'm shopping at Walmart.

I had been anticipating the moment Honeyboba opened. This place has a nice modern feel... With chandeliers (which seem a little much) and flat screen TV's surrounding the room. I think they're still trying to settle inn though... Aside from the interior design the Almond milk tea w/ boba was quite tasty, the boba had what felt like a nice coating of honey, not too overwhelmingly sweet. My only problem with this new spot was the waiting time... Other than that I was a satisfied, most likely to return customer.

Heard that this place was open from a couple of friends so my boyfriend and I took the bus to get here because we didn't have any rides...heh heh. I ordered a regular peach ice crystal w/ honey boba & he ordered a large honey tea w/ honey boba. Total came out to $9.32! Jesus, my wallet cried a little bit. BUT. It was my first fat cup ever! I really liked how the peach ice crystal tasted. The honey boba was fresh and very chewy. I'm not a boba person but it tasted ohkay. My boyfriend's drink was pretty tasty too. Can't wait for the next time i have $10 to spare..LOL.

I been here like a few times and I gotta admit, the drinks are pretty good. The prices are high for boba drinks but loo considering quality, I believe its worth it. If you were to compare drinks from this place to other stores, it would be 1 of the best. Cup size is bigger as well and ice isn't alot so you get plenty of liquid. The place also provide a wide variety of drinks like flavored tea to slushes. After ordering drinks, waiting times can vary but never too long. Max amount of waiting would be like 5 minutes. Once you get your drinks, enjoy!!!!

The drinks here aren't as tasty as the location on Duarte but they are still good. It's definitely better than Half & Half. I didn't expect it to be in the same location as Walmart though but it's pretty close to my work. Will definitely come again!

i thought that the sesame milk tea was pretty delicious except for the fact that it was a bit too much on the sweet side. so if your on a sweet tooth, then this is the place for you. the boba was soft and chewy which is good but the order took forever. i ordered twice, once for me and second for my brother and i waited in total about a little over half an hour for two cups of boba milk tea. that's a pretty long wait for a place with only three customers sitting in. i find that this place is pretty similar to Half & Half with the fat cups and similar menu.

i'm sorry rosemead honey boba, you will not be earning my loyal boba business at this location. i've given this place three chances to impress me, all three totally FAILED! the tea was watered down, all i can taste is the excess amount of sugar and ice. boba and pudding doesn't cost that much, please don't be cheap and give us an extra scoop or two given the $4-$5 per drink that we are spending.

All the times I've ever been to this new location, I've never had a problem until today. I took my little cousins to get some BOBA because it was in the closest honeyboba in the area besides the arcadia one (which now i would rather much get out of my way and drive to). I understand that the staff is still new and that the service may not be great, but seriously the cashier working today not only made me repeat myself multiple times for my order of only THREE drinks but still got my order wrong. When I got my drinks they were wrong and I didn't want to make a big deal out of it and embarass her in front of all those customers, but seriously...you make me repeat myself AND you still get it wrong..so what was the point of me repeating it? But real talk, you guys need to find better trainers to train your employees because your reputation isn't looking so good.

Awkwardly enough, I'd love to write a review on how the food and drinks were here, but when I called in to place my order they actually told me that they wouldn't be serving any food/snacks. VERY confused by that. If you are an establishment that serves food you should probably have them available to customers. Very off putting and I'm not sure I will come here to finally try things because who knows what they might not have. Oh well.

I really like how their boba actually tastes like honey and is nice, soft, and chewy. They tend to make drinks a little on the sweet side, so you might want to ask them to add just a little less sugar to your drink.

I work down the street from this location. I've been anxiously awaiting their opening. I saw a sign a week back saying they'd be open 1/25 so a friend and I made plans to go in today. We get there only to find out they are closed on Monday's. What a silly thing to do. You open a store on a Friday and then are closed the next Monday. Also, they don't open until Noon the rest of the week.

Love this place, been waiting for ever for them to open up. It such a delicious treat to only be enjoyed once in awhile, way too many calories to sacrifice. Its pretty crowded most of the times I stop by. Service is pretty quick even though there are a lot of customers. I usually get Honey Boba with egg pudding. The egg pudding is an even more of an indulgence.

The service was fast and I really enjoyed a frosted signature milky w/ honey boba, pudding & strawberry drink! Lovely chandelier they have.

I was really excited for Honey Boba to open in Rosemead and drove-by this location endlessly until it finally opened. However, after buying three drinks, I'm done with this place. The flavor of their black milk tea leaves much to be desired. The first time I ordered it, it just tasted bland. I switched with my husband and drank his honey milk tea instead. This was better, but the honey flavor was a little overbearing, so I wouldn't order it again. On my next visit, I ordered the black milk tea extra sweet to see if that would solve the flavor issue. This was even worse. I'm not sure what they use for sweetener, but it was awful. It has to be some cheap syrup or something, because it ruined the whole tea. The only positive is that the actual honey boba they use is good. All and all, I will be going back to La Arbre teahouse from here on out. The regular size boba here ends up costing $4, which just isn't worth it.

first time trying the "purple passion iced tea" A.K.A passion fruit green tea umm... why does it taste diluted? the only sweetness I got from the drink was from the Aloe that I had added
