Glad this place went in. Very convenient, and always fresh. Seems most everything is made to order. Great place to stop in and get a quick healthy meal to go.

Cashew chicken was great and the portions were huge. We got the family meal and only ate half of it for 8 people. We will be back again...

If you don't want a stomach ache from chinese fast food come here! You will not buy a sodium bomb here that will go off in your stomach an hour after eating. I have been coming to this place as long as I can remember when I'm in the mood for chinese food. I always order either the teriyaki chicken bowl with no sauce OR the chicken soup with rice. Both the chicken bowl and the chicken soup are under $5 and you'll get your fill.

Went here for lunch last Saturday -- my husband and I each had the lunch combo with spicy beef, spicy shrimp and lo mein for me and the same for him except spicy chicken instead of shrimp. The portions are large and the food is really good and inexpensive. Also, the staff is very friendly and the place is clean. We'd definitely recommend it.

Unfortunately for me, this place is incredibly busy during lunch time so I save it for special occasions. But the food and the staff are awesome --they see me and know that I want the Teriyaki chicken bowl over noodles with vegetables. Fixes me right up when I'm feeling run down. I also like that the kitchen isn't hidden away from the customers, so you can watch the skillful chefs preparing fresh food pipping hot. Think of their menu as Asian fusion because you can order a variety of dishes from Japanese style Teriyaki to Pad Thai. Definitely worth seeking out and deserving of the crowds.

I absolutely LOVE it here! I been coming here for years but ever since they changed owners I love it even more! The girl in the front is always friendly and courteous. If I could give this place 1,000 stars I would! Not only is the good amazing but the people that work there always make you feel welcome which is very important. They are doing an amazing job at serving food and giving good customer service as well! LOVE IT HERE! Forever a customer!

GO HERE! This place is amazing! They always FILL your order to the brim and more! I always share a 2 item combo and it's more than enough for me and my boyfriend to share. They are nice af and make your food fresh as you order! By far one of the best places I've gone to!

Well, it's food. The prices are low and quantities are enormous, so if you're poor and hungry you could certainly do worse. I decided to try this place based on Yelp reviews but the food I got--I don't remember specifically what I ordered--was meh. Pretty bland. (I do know it wasn't teriyaki because I am not a teriyaki fan.) Service was friendly and courteous. Zero atmosphere or aesthetic appeal in the dining room but I was getting take out so that was ok. I must say the photos of people's food here on Yelp look fantastic, but I think my idea of good Chinese food must just be very different from most people in Riverside.

  • Bryan G.

This place is amazing. That's all i can say. Hidden gem in riverside. I'm addicted to this place :)

  • Ryan G.

Had the best chicken soup. Everything is cooked fresh to order. Worth the little wait. Very good costumer service.

I would frequent Teriyaki Plus when I lived nearby at my parent's house. I have never once had a bad experience with them. They are an Asian fast food service where the food is made to order. No large trays of food sitting under a heat lamp for an unknown amount of time. The Sukiyaki Beef and the Pot-stickers are my favorite, but every item I've tried has been good. It is definitely worth a try if you are in the area and looking for a good meal!

corner strip mall location...has the look of typical asian fast food...counter order food...seating for dine-in...placing an order for a simple teriyaki chicken bowl...paying $6.21 after tax...placing some change in the tip jar...about 5 minutes of waiting...to the counter to pick up food...styrofoam bowl with a lid on a tray...guess difference between dine-in and take-out is food given on a tray versus in a bag...generous portion of rice below...maximum double layer of teriyaki chicken above...extremely heavy handed in the teriyaki sauce drowning the rice below...ask for sauce on the side...fresh cooked taste and quality is above typical asian fast food...

Holy Samonella Batman! I ordered the curry chicken and it was completely RAW!!! First and last time trying this place! AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!

    (1)
  • Patsy B.

The place is small but people come and go for to go's and party platters. Might not be able to fit in large groups. Food is always made to order. Tastes awesome too! Good that we ordered different entrees so we could try more food. The combo was probably be good for two not so hungry guests. We had to take ours home cause we were already so full.

  • Randy M.

I was happy to try a different place for quick asian food, and the place smelled fantastic. I had been in a few times and was beginning to like the place until the other day when I ordered for take-out. I was waiting for my order and I was watching the chef whiz through several dishes in his woks and then I became horrified as I noticed a cockroach crawling across the wall in the kitchen. I was about to check myself to make sure I wasn't hallucinating when TWO MORE COCKROACHES scurried across the wall in the grill area and nobody seemed to notice/care in the kitchen. I couldn't eat much of my order. This is unforgivable.

This place RULES! I used to work in the Riverside Auto Center so Teriyaki Plus was a common staple of our lunch diets. I think the pricing is very fair and the service good. It's run by a small, yet effective staff. Go here if you're looking for a quality lunch! I recommend the steamed pork potstickers.

  • Trent T.

It's hard to find a fast-food Chinese place that doesn't leave you're stomach uneasy I appreciate the fact that the food is cooked to order in a Wok right behind the counter. The sauces are pretty good, I especially like the garlic chicken and garlic shrimp. The owner is very friendly and accommodating. If you want fresh and tasty Chinese fast-food, go here.

    (4)
  • Helena N.

We love coming here, the food is amaxing and freshly made every single time. They dont have their foods sitting under food heaters, the vegetables are delicious and again ALL FRESHLY MADE!! Staff is super friendly and always remember us when we come in, highly recommended if you want some REALLY good Chinese food and you're in the area!!!

  • Patrick A.

This place is downright delicious if your tongue has a sensitive spot for Japanese this is the place to roll to now I'm not saying that the top dog when it comes to sushi but I am saying if you're trying to get some quick teriyaki and some good tempura give this place a shot best thing about it its reasonable it's conveniently located and the parking its pretty good for the size of the facility. Now this place has been going strong for over 8 years and I don't see it stopping anytime soon. If you get a chance there's a European bakery next door try to pop your head in and see whats up, leave a review.

    (4)
  • Jaime B.

This food is always good the egg rolls are the best I highly recommend them also they have a nice nail salon right next door . Where you can order it while you're at the salon and they will deliver it to you :)

  • Erick L.

You know that nasty gluttonous feeling you get after eating heavy undercooked Chinese food? Yeahhhhh... That is definitely not the case here. You want fresh healthy asian food? This is your spot!!! Tip: Great vegetarian entrées. Made fresh and when you order it.

  • Tim P.

The soups are excellent. Had the wor wonton soup plenty of fresh vegetables and great flavor price was reasonable highly recommend trying this place if we ever had never have. Service is fast and easy.

For my quick Chinese Cuisine fix this is where I'll go every time. To me its good fresh and they make it fast . Customer service is always good.

  • Edison U.

I have been here several times, now and i must say that the food us really ,really good ,quite fresh,as you have to order and it takes ,just a couple of minutes to prepare it,except for the rice, and the chow mein, which is already prepared, the garluc shrimp is excellent, and so is the mongolian beef, the owner is really nice, and attentive, do tell them ahead for the mongolian beef to go easy with the peppers if you don't. want it too spicy, the place is very very clean, very casual,n you can call ahead for take outs, definitely better than yoshinoya or ho ho chinese food close ,by,thx for reading.

    (4)
  • Kim J.

This place is a little hard to find but once you taste the food you will want to come back. I got the mushroom chicken, broccoli beef, steam rice and veggies. The food was made to order and it came out hot and fresh. Also, the portions are huge for the price. The downside that it could take a while for the food to be cooked.

    (4)
  • Andrea M.

This place gets 5 stars because of the quality and taste! We've tried everything but our absolute favorite is the combo bowl. (Photo attached) they don't make it till you order it so it's nice and fresh when you get it! It's amazing, I totally recommend this place!

    (5)
  • Dave B.

Been eating here for over 10 years. Fantastic family run business. Superior customer service! Above and beyond friendly. We have had them cater for over 150 people and they did an amazing job! Van, the owner, is a wonderful man and certainly driven to make the customer satisfied.

    (5)
  • Ricardo P.

This place is usually OK. I like their soup. I usually say no cabbage when I order soup and every time they mess up it's RIDICULOUS!!!!! They don't know how to take orders!!! And it's not the 1st time i usually check but didn't have time! Next time get the order right i would probably give you a 4 star!!!

    (1)
  • Andrew B.

This place gets 5 starts easily. I've grown up eating here. The food is amazing. The staff is great. Van the owner, is always there making sure things run smoothly, and always greets me with a smile. Almost all of them know what I'm going to order, and it's always freshly prepared and served quickly. Try the Garlic Shrimp and Noodles, it's to die for!

    (5)
  • Jason R.

Always fresh and excellent food with great service. This place is a secret cause I'm a foodie and never heard of it till a couple weeks ago. I would eat here every day if I could. I will never eat Chinese heat lamp food again!

    (5)
  • Stella N Tom P.

The Thai Style hot pot soup is delicious. Cooked fresh & very generous serving. Plenty for 2 people to share. The menu has many choices. The staff is very friendly & courteous. I will definitely have to visit here soon.

    (5)
  • Scott S.

The food here is awesome. First oriental food place that is gentle on my stomach and is fresh made. Their food isn't sitting under heat lamps all day. The have a wide variety of choices for a decent and reasonable price. Ive been coming here for a few years and will keep on going. The staff is very friendly and fast at what they do.

    (5)
  • Meg H.

Their wonton soup is chockful of veggies like carrots, celery, zucchinis, mushrooms, Napa cabbage, plenty of fiber-rich veggies. It is really unlike another wonton soup I have had before, definitely plenty of it and is delish! I love how they make your dish for you right then when you order. Always a go to favorite place of mine!

    (5)
  • Martha S.

This place gets a 5 star because great customer service ,quality of food is great and taste amazing . Nothing compares to this.

    (5)
  • Andy L.

The dishes are cooked to order, so you are not picking out your entrees from under a heat lamp. There is also a surprising amount of variety in the menu that go beyond your typical orange chicken; you have a choice of beef, shrimp, and vegetable offerings as well. It usually takes me a minute to try and decide what entrees to get. What's more, they have a silent, grizzled old Asian guy manning the woks, which adds a level of legitimacy to the place. Along with foods typical of Chinese take-out places, there are also Japanese-style items like teriyaki and tempura dishes. Since the food is prepared when you order it, it is neat to see them fire up the woks once you place your order. The food is still sizzling when they give it to you or when they put it in your take-out trays. The people working there are pleasant enough, which makes it very easy to keep coming back. Since recently discovering the place, I go there so often now that it's becoming embarrassing. They are starting to recognize my face. The place itself is a little hard to see from the street, so you will have to really look for it when you are at the corner of Indiana Ave. and Washington. This little restaurant is very much a hidden gem, so I recommend it without a doubt.

    (5)
  • Mariana B.

Good selection, only thing is that since they are such a small location they run out of food quick (but will make it for you fresh!) The prices are great too.

    (5)
  • Daniel W.

If you want delicious food at a reasonable price in a comfortable setting with kind and courteous service - this is the place for you! Van, the owner and manager, is friendly and a real "servant" to the public. I've been a patron for over 20 yrs.

    (5)
  • Carlo D.

I brought my wife and kids here from Moreno Valley hoping to eat some good chinese food. Sorry to say were disappointed in the place. Service and everything was fine, but the food was nothing tell mom about.

    (2)
  • Kristopher K.

Everything is made fresh to order, the prices are extremely fair. The dining room is clean and the staff is always friendly, they offer me water when I don't get a drink, which I think is cool.

    (5)
  • B A.

Fresh hot not sitting in the lights Chinese good food! The only place I eat Chinese from!

    (5)
  • James R.

Maybe it's because we went on a weekend but there is no way this is a 4.5 star place! It's a steam table Chinese and every bit of the place was sticky and dirty. When you walk in take one step and look up. You'll see an AC vent that hasn't been cleaned in 10 years. The food was made quickly (hence the 2 stars).

    (2)
  • Mary S.

Good FRESH food. Cooked to order. Owner is always there.

    (5)
  • Anish B.

I've been a regular here for over nine years and still prefer this restaurant any time I'm in the mood for Asian food. Everything is cooked to order using fresh ingredients is not oily at all. The food tastes great, is healthy, and the staff is always friendly and accommodating. They will customize any dish to your preference. You can get the full range of the Chinese favorites, but there are also numerous healthy and vegetarian options. My favorites are the spicy tofu and spicy broccoli. They also offer some Japanese tempura items. Their tempura vegetables include everything from zucchini to sweet potatoes. The owner has run this place for 17 years since it was located in the old Riverside Plaza. The current location has an open kitchen where even the walls are clad in stainless steel. The staff is immaculate about cleaning everything thoroughly every night. They also share meals the owner cooks for them. They are like a family and always make you feel like you're part of it when you go. This is exactly the type of place I want to spend my money for the great quality and matching attitude. Take note of the timings if you go. Since the same few people are working very long hours, the usually close at 8pm Mon-Sat and 6pm on Sun.

  • Lucas A.

FRESH MADE TO ORDER HOW YOU WANT IT!! I cant count how many times i have tried a new chineese place and all the food is cooked and sitting in trays and they refuse to make special orders (no veggies, ect.). This place is friendly and fast and delicious love love love Teriyaki plus!

    (5)
  • Chris C.

They make the food right when you order it so you always know its fresh. Everyone is really friendly and you can watch them cook your food up right there.

    (5)
  • Sally L.

The beef and broccoli was a disappointment, but the orange chicken was crispy and delicious. Service was good too, and the place is CLEAN. Even though we were the only customers there from the moment we walked in, there was an employee cleaning the place from top to bottom the entire time we were there. Not quite a 4 star establishment, but a little better than a 3.

    (3)
  • Jason T.

Quick and good food. Cooked to order but it seemed as fast as Panda Express! Decent prices and a combo plate can definitely be shared!

    (4)
  • Richard L.

The Teriyaki Chicken and mixed veggies are the best in Riverside! Everything is cooked fresh and hot! Check it out it's well worth it!

    (5)
  • Christina O.

OK...I tried this place because of the reviews...bad idea. The place smells weird making the food we brought home smell weird making it taste, you guessed it, weird. I only ate a few bites and instantly my body was trying to reject it. I'm going to try to block this dining experience from my memory as soon as my stomach stops turning.

    (1)
  • Joey C.

Very good food, always stop by when I'm in the area.

    (5)
  • Andrea B.

Being a big fan of teriyaki, i just had to try this place. Food is great and fresh off the grill. I got the chicken bowl with veggies and it was delicious!

    (5)
  • Navjeet K.

I was craving vegetable and tofu and I'm glad I gave this place a try. Some of the vegetables were a little under cooked but overall the food was decent to delicious. However, I thought the price was a little high. Won't be a everyday customer but definitely will go by when I'm craving Chinese.

    (5)
  • Chris C.

food is mediocre, i've had better. the chow mein & fried rice was bland. the teriyaki chicken barely had teriyaki sauce on it. overall, not really satisfying. 3 stars just because it was still edible & the price was decent & i dont wanna be mean lol but i'll be going to panda next time

    (3)
  • Art C.

Mongolian beef is awesome. The ingredients are fresher than In n out. Orange chicken is a delight. Best thing is everything is cooked to order.

    (5)
  • Erika S.

I've been going there for a couple of years now, loveeeee the food. Healthy food! I love the spicy tofu bowl and the spicy shrimp!

  • Leanne K.

I was in the area looking for a good place to have takeout. Considering all the yelp reviews I decided to check this place out! Knowing it closed at 8, I hightailed it over there. When I got to the door, the employee was closing for the night. But with the pathetic look I have him, he gladly opened back up for me! I took the food to go so I haven't gotten to taste it yet, but as far as customer service goes, this was top notch!! Thank you teriyaki plus!!!

    (5)
  • Vanessa G.

I should have known when I walked in on a Monday night at 5:30 pm and it was dead. Even stale food at other places is better. Will not be going there again.

    (1)
  • david s.

I've only been here once. The food I got was good. The make stuff fresh or fresher than most places who have it under heat lamps all day. The staff is nice. In Riverside this is the best combo item lunch place. I'm looking forward to come back again.

    (4)
  • Cesar L.

Great service. Always fresh, and wen you ask for extra condiments they never give you dirty looks like most Asian cuisine places.

    (5)
  • Life I.

This place is absolutely delicious ! Everything is cook to order and just how I want it! I can't stop bragging enough about it to everyone . The owner Van & the cashier who is always there are always so friendly. This place definitely has it all great food&amazing service! I will not go for Chinese food anywhere else! This place is the best in all riverside! Believe me! Or just go try it for your self! You will not be disappointed !

  • Jay N.

Teriyaki plus is far from typical "Chinese fast food". First, every order is made fresh. Not only is it nice to not see food sitting in metal trays for who knows how long, they can make it exactly how you like it. I always order the Mongolian beef when I come here. It's different in two ways from others that I have tried. First the beef they use will NOT remind you of rubber. Second, more vegetables are used in the dish, such as bamboo shoots and sliced carrots. The dish is well made and flavorful. The prices are reasonable, $6-$8 typically. This place is underrated in my opinion and should be your first choice when looking for Chinese fast food.

    (4)
  • Eric S.

You cant beat a fast food chinese place that makes to order. They have great soup too.

    (5)
  • Michael R.

I'm not a fan of Chinese fast food but I tried this place and loved it. Everyone seems to mention the fact that its cooked to order and I am no different. It makes a difference and everything I've tried here has been very tasty and fresh.

    (5)
  • e n.

Fresh Made to order. It can't any fresher than this. If you go with the tempura and Japanese style, fish and chicken plates, you may not find it too tasty since they are usually plain, Japanese cusine. Stick with the Chinese style entrees and I am pretty sure you will enjoy it. Great flavors Teriyaki Plus is not a fancy place, but the food is fresh, MADE TO ORDER tasty and at a good price. I usually order party trays when I have a family gathering. I recommend the Kung Pao chicken, Mushroom chicken, Broccoli Beef, Teriyaki Chicken, and Fried rice Noodles for your parties and they will be a hit at your party

    (4)
  • Asena S.

Teriyaki Plus is not a fancy place, but the food is fresh, tasty and cost effective. So overall, a 5 star. My favorite is the salmon - nicely done and comes with fresh veggies. What's great is the chef accommodates people's requests. I have so many friends who come over here for a quick bite. The staff is friendly and Chef Van is great. They also do party trays.

Best Chinese food restaurant in Riverside, CA. I grew up in the Magnolia Center area, at the time the Riverside Plaza was actually closed-in (yes, just like a mall, believe it or not, during the late 1980s/early 1990s). I've tried several of the other Asian restaurants in town - HoHos Chinese food, Panda Express, Monarch Asian Bistro - to name just a few. I've come to the conclusion that if they're not over priced, many of these restaurants are either over salted, over cooked, or have been sitting under the heat lamp for too long. Teriyaki Plus, I've found, has nothing to hide. Just walk in and see what I'm talking about. They COOK and PREPARE everything right there in front of you (cutting / washing vegetables, preparing shrimp, washing woks, etc.). I'm impressed over the fact that while they have heat lamps... they never use them (walk in, on any given day, and see for yourself). Cooked over an open flame, your food is always made fresh to order - immediately AFTER you've placed your order - so you may have to wait another 5-8 minutes before you receive your meal. Every time I walk in, I noticed they're either peeling fresh vegetables, preparing the shrimp, or doing something else - in plain view of everyone.. and not in the back of the kitchen, somewhere - because their kitchen is literally right up in front (see snapshots on Yelp). Did I mention, the food is ALWAYS cooked fresh to order? The portions are always of a decent size and quality. The flavors are NOT salty or overbearing, but they're blended perfectly... And did I mention they cook your order over an open flame, right there in front of you? If you crave fresh and authentic Asian food, are on a tight budget, and need to feed a lot of people, Teriyaki Plus is the best way to go, hands down. Five Star Restaurant at an affordable price.

  • Donnie W.

SUPER fresh! I love that the entree items are made-to-order, it definitely adds to the appeal of this place over most of the other places I've been that have their items sitting in the warmer aging as the day goes by. Can't wait to go back!

    (4)
  • Leah W.

I love Teriyaki Plus!!!! Van and the girls are so friendly. You get way more than you pay for... The Spicy Chicken bowl is AMAZING.

I eat at this place once a week. The food is always fresh and delicious. I can phone it in and the owner Po will be done by the time I get their usually in 10 minutes so I can head back to the office with my order. I also have them cater for my business once or twice a month and the prices and quantities are very good.

  • Bob M.

This place was terrible. I had pot stickers and they tasted terrible. I also had the garlic shrimp and the shrimp were the baby ones, not cleaned and nothing else with it; meaning, no veggies. Just terrible. Sorry, but I won't go back.

  • Tony T.

This nurse rates this simply very gross indeed.

  • Denise D.

It's me again. I tried the Thai style hot and spicy soup. It is awesome. I enjoy going there and having Van suggest something different from time to time. He makes whatever I choose healthy style for me. Great food.

  • Katie A.

I have been coming here since I was a kid when it was located in the old Riverside Plaza Mall. I loved it then and still love it today! I usually get the Chicken bowl with rice and veggies or noodles. I recently tried the Sukiyaki Beef and absolutely LOVE it for its wonderful flavor! The fried zucchini is also great with ranch. Egg rolls are good too. When I am sick I love eating their chicken noodle soup, or veggie noodle soup. I have had some of their dishes with tofu and their tofu is wonderful. The owner is always nice and if he is not helping me he has other staff that are always friendly. I love coming here because the food is consistently good. This owners wife owns Nails Plus a few doors down. I love going next door to Nails Plus to get a pedicure and Manicure from Rose. Very pleased with Teriyaki Plus after all these years, they are still one of my top picks! Thanks!! A + + +

  • Michael V.

Don't believe me then order the tempura fish. It's not even tempura and all breading. My second item was such a tiny portion and incredibly salty. What a joke.

    (1)
  • Randy L.

The food is good here and the employees are nice as well. I like lunch and dinner here. The food is not prepared till you order it. Unlike other like restaurants near by, you don't know how old the food has been sitting. And yes the garlic shrimp is tasty and needs to be tried and there tempura dishes are the bomb as well.

    (4)
  • Julia M.

GARLIC SHRIMP!! Don't pass up this place on your drive down the 91. Even though it may look unassuming in its little business plaza, it has great food at really great prices. Everything is cooked right in front of you, which is cool especially when the flames go up. The staff is super-friendly, if you go there regularly they'll greet you by name. I love the garlic shrimp-it's seasoned with some crazy Chinese concoction of soy, garlic and magic. I've never had anything as good at any Chinese fast food place. Lunchtime gets a little busy, but if you need a quick Chinese food fix this is the place to go.

    (5)
  • Super H.

Good fresh food. I've been coming here since they opened. Very reasonably priced too!

  • Oscar L.

It is great to have a good tasting Teriyaki fast food restaurant in Riverside. The restaurant is kinda hidden in that small shopping center, so people driving by have to put really close attention to spot this place. The chicken Teriyaki bowl is really good and priced at a really good price at only $3.99. The food is fresh and always made to order which is a difference from most other places. A Teriyaki chicken bowl doesn't sound very filling, however this only is fills up really quick because it has a lot of chicken and fresh vegetables. Another big plus about the chicken is that it is perfectly grilled yet it is nothing dry. The Mongolian beef is also delicious as it is made with thin slices of beef and fresh vegetables along with a side of chow mein and rice. Two people can eat here for around $13 with guarantee leftovers since the portions are generous.
