Very good Thai food at an affordable rate. They have a smaller set up so it's a friendly place to go. The service has been great, and the food is served in a timely manner and tastes amazingly well. There are other Thai places in the area, but I would say this place has them beat. Really good Pad Thai and Pad See Ew.

Now, this place isnt bad as you would think it is. If I just drove by, from the looks of the place, where its located, the not-so-convenient parking lot in back, I would just keep going. But curiosity got a hold of me, so I went there one day- and was amazed by the good food and friendly staff- the food was actually good; the meats and vegetables- are always fresh every time. I tried tasting for the ketchup Lexington A. mentioned anywhere in the menu, sorry- couldn't find it! (who left a nonsense negative remark about this place) One more thing, the staff here are really flexible- they will make adjustments however you want it.

I noticed the only comment on here was a negative one.. Well, I love and have eaten at multiple thai places and this one by far is one of the best places to get great food at a reasonable price!! The former thai place was pretty good but this one out does it a bit!! If ur looking for a quick place with great taste and the best bang for your buck, eat here and you shouldn't be disappointed.. Took my parents there for the first time last weekend and they don't eat thai like I do and they loved it and all my co-workers love this place as well.. I eat there maybe on average once a week and sometimes twice a week so that should say something!!

This place really sucks. I think they made my Thom Ka kai with Ketchup! Horrible. stay away. Ive been here three times because there was no where else to eat, as it is close to my work. They must have played the same whiny song in Thai for about 40 minutes. I wanted to scream and puke on my table.

We had the Pad Thai & Pad See Ew . . .both were delicious. Not badly priced either at 8.95 for fried tofu. Tofu could be a bit more fried for my taste, but still very good. Service is kinda slow & the TV having the volume on is a bit annoying, but still a good place overall. Will be back again to try the other tasty looking items on their menu.

Very great place to dine for diner, servers are attentive, and will service you 30minutes before close, freshly cooked Pad Thai

We've been ordering delivery now for a few months and they've never made a mistake on our orders. We going into the restaurant a couple of times a month and staff has always been very nice and will to serve. Love this place!

BEST THAI FOOD IN RIVERSIDE!! Ingredients are always super fresh and service is fast and friendly. My favorite items are the pineapple fried rice, pad thai (TO DIE FOR), half moon tons, and the thai iced tea. Lunch of CHAMPIONS!

Got the yellow curry with chicken and pad Thai with shrimp. The yellow curry was pretty bland, the chicken flakes (strips) taste as though they weren't seasoned. The pad Thai itself was pretty good and flavorful, but the fact that it was $2 more and only 5 shrimp in the meal was upsetting. Overall the meal was just ok. Probably will try another Thai place next time around.

The service during lunchtime is kind of hit or miss. There used to be one server who waa really quick, and got everything correct, but I did not see her this time. This time, the service was slow and not quite so attentive. I had to ask for a to-go container twice before going to the counter and having to ask again. The drink orders were mixed up. It took forever to get our checks rung up (even after we stated up front when we ordered that we would be paying separately). The food is a decent amount and tasted very good. There were no complaints about the food. The flavor was just right on the pineapple curry, with a good combination of spicy, salty, savory, creamy, & sweet. The spiciness level was just right for my taste at a medium. It wasn't so spicy that I could not taste anything. The rice was a bit undercooked, unfortunately, but I let it soak up some moisture from the curry and it ended up ok. The othets in my party ordered chicken yellow curry, pad thai, hot basil beef, and chicken teriyaki. The comments were as follows: yellow curry was ordered hot and the person who ordered it said that it tasted great with some extra chili sauce (too hot for me...yowza!); the pad thai was reported to be excellent; the hot basil beef is very low carb if you don't eat the rice and the spiciness level of 'hot, but not Thai hot' it was enough heat for some oomph but not too much heat where you can't enjoy all the flavors; the chicken teriyaki was good. I don't think it's the best chicken teriyaki in town, but for less adventurous palates, it is a decent choice considering it is a Thai restaurant. We all agreed that the fortune cookies were stale and the oil went rancid...they tasted awful because the oil stays on your tongue for a while. Yuck. Next time, I'll smell the fortune cookies to see if they're old before I take a bite.

I had pad Thai lunch, it was to sweet/orange flavor and not enough vegetables mixed in, it was service with soup and option of hand roll-which I really liked instead of a fried roll- but did not want the white rice with a noodle dish. A small salad would have been better than rice. Service was nice but one waitress was not friendly but younger one was very personable.

  • Jeanette C.

I'm not sure if it was because it was a lunch special but I got the chicken cashew it was pretty much dry with some water down sauce no flavor I asked for it to be spicy and it wasn't spicy at all my egg roll with soggy and I spent almost 8 bucks on it I've had way better thai anywhere in Riverside then this place it was my first and last time coming. It was so bad literally if I lived closer I would've brought it back and asked for my money

  • Marissa V.

I ordered take out from here last night. I could tell the cashier got frustrated with me because first, she didn't believe I requested a drink with my order when I already paid for it and second, she got frustrated that I wanted unsweetened tea and not Thai sweet tea. She then started speaking a different language that made me feel really uncomfortable because it sounded like frustration in her tone and no one else was even around. I also ordered spicy fried rice and just received regular fried rice. The food was okay but I just didn't feel comfortable inside their business. I will just take myself to Bann Thai down the street instead where their hospitality is better.

My wife and I love this place. Most of the time we order delivery. The wait time is not as bad as you would think and their food is very good. Everything we have tried taste great. We've been going here for about 3 years now

  • Megan M.

We order for delivery often and they are always fast and adorable especially for the amount of food you get. I love their green curry chicken. They also have great spring rolls

  • Mary L.

The prices are good, the quality is good and the service is awesome. I always order delivery from there and they're always so helpful, fast, and friendly. The lunch specials are such a good deal and they make delicious sticky rice.

we order delivery more often than I should admit. We love everything on the menu. Especially the drunken noodles, beef larb, and the crab wontons things! So good and the delivery is always quick and accurate!

  • Angela J.

I come here at least once a year for my annual "after tax appointment" meal. If I am in the area I will stop by throughout the year too. The service is wonderful, the ladies are already very sweet and I love their food. I always get the same thing: pad woon sen and hot jasmine tea. I've tried other stuff too when sharing with people but that is always my favorite!

    (4)
  • T D.

Food was good but EXPENSIVE compared to local Thai restaurants. $11.00 for an Entree. Average is $6-8 in this area... and the restaurant is small and bathroom is gross lol

Fast and easy ordering/delivery. I liked the prices (good lunch specials). I would order from this place again. Ordered: The Tom Yum Soup (It was delicious) Spicy Noodles (Kee-Mao) (Lunch) - delicious Chicken Teriyaki (Lunch) - BF said it was okay. Chicken Cashew Nut (Lunch) - good. Orange Chicken (Lunch) - my kid said it was good, but had better.

One of if not the best Thai food spot in Riverside. Their curries are amazing and the fresh spring rolls with peanut sauce is a refreshing bite of heaven.

  • Virginia P.

My husband and I ordered Pad Thai, Spicy Eggplant and Tom Yum soup. It was delicious! I meant to order it for delivery but mistakenly put it for pick up. When I noticed I called and they were extremely nice about it and delivered it within ten minutes. We will definitely be calling again.

This place was great, its no Bann Thai, but they deliver and sometimes putting on pants is feat that escapes me. We ordered the Pad Thai with Tofu, Panag Curry with Beef and Spring Roll. I had to order an extra side of Jasmine rice, since you must have a $25 minimum before tax for delivery, but with everything and tip it was still only $30(ish). We asked for both the Pad Thai and Panag to be Very Spicy, they did okay, but guess the spice level goes up as they get to know you. The Pad Thai was awesome. I need to remember to request soft tofu in lieu of fried moving forward, but the is a personal preference thing. The noodles were perfectly cooked and not soggy (I hate soggy noodles). The Panag Curry was delicious, a little on the basily side, but you can always request that the extra basil leaves be left on the side. I will definitely be ordering from here again the next time I am having a "I Hate Pants" party.

Amazing spring rolls and curry. They deliver!

Staff is very sweet! Large portions and delicious! Went for Valentine's Day...and gave us cupcakes on the house! Although thai iced tea seemed a little watered down. But will definitely come again.

I was introduced to Angel Thai Food by a co-worker that is a regular. Once I found out they delivered, it was Thai Food everyday. Not only is the delivery fast, but the ease of using the website to order was a plus. I have been to Thailand twice, and I like to think that I'm a Thai food expert. I can honestly give this restaurant 4 1/2 stars for taste and presentation alone. Although they use more American friendly ingredients such as white mushroom, and broccoli to name a couple, the flavor and quality is wonderful! I have tried the Veggie delight, Pad se ew, pad thai, papaya salad, spicy soup, to name a few, and all were delicious. Also when I ate at the restaurant, I was surprised to see how clean they kept the place. Would recommend this restaurant highly.

First and foremost Angel Thai DELIVERS!!! They deliver to addresses that the yelp app says they don't, if you call. I'm staying at the Hyatt in downtown Riverside on a business trip. I'm here from South Lake Tahoe and I LOVE Thai food! I had a long day at work and didn't want to drive anywhere or go anywhere so I searched my trusty Yelp app for restaurants that deliver and lo and behold I came across Angel Thai. Pretty good reviews so I thought I'd try it out. Crab fried rice: YUMMMMY! Thai iced tea- it was good but I've had better. Pad Thai with shrimp- Eh. It was okay. Garden rolls- they were okay. Pretty good flavor. Oh my goodness, did I mention they delivered to me?!?? They also delivered FAST! The lady that took my order was so nice. They gave me hot sauce and soy sauce, that I forgot to ask for so I appreciated that very much. I love business owners that don't skimp on things like that. If I thought I'd be visiting Riverside again, I'd definitely order from Angel Thai in the future. Thanks for the fast and friendly service!

I moved to Riverside almost 4 years ago and this place has been my go to for authentic Thai. They have really great food on their menu, its all made fresh and cooked to order. Great lunch specials as well. During the winter whenever my husband and I get sick we order the Tom Yum soup and it really helps to clear up your nose.My favorite thing on the menu is the crab fried rice. I usually come in during dinner and I like that they have the option to serve the food family style. The staff is great they always remember me and my family and they always give my two year old son extra fortune cookies (he loves them)

  • Kirsten C.

It Was my first time here but I have been long time curious due to reviews. I Ordered the chow mein and spring rolls....let's start with the spring rolls. I'd eat them again I suppose. Nothing extraordinary. Now for the chow mein, or should I say the dry ass spaghetti noodles maybe splashed with soy sauce at some point before ending up in my take out box. I've had bad noodles. But this was the far worst ever....Crappy over priced food. I Will not be returning. Bann Thai is still the BEST in riverside!!!!

  • Gia C.

Yummy!!! This place is amaze balls! First off the delivery is fast and the food is too delicious! The beef and broccoli flat rice noodles are my favorite and the Thai tea is always refreshing I love it. I'm definitely a repeat customer! Thanks angel Thai :)

This is a pleasant place to eat. Parking across the street is easy and it is family-friendly. The staff are extremely sweet and will do what they can to make you happy. The food is fine, though sometimes a bit variable from visit-to-visit. What makes Angel Thai stand out is that they DELIVER! You can even order online to avoid mix-ups.

Yesterday we ordered food to go. My husband got salmon, I got pad thai chicken, my parents got pineapple curry chicken and paneng pork. To me, I tried a little bit of everything and it was all very delicious! I loved everything. My parents weren't too fond of it... mind you it was their first time trying thai food. My husband liked his dish as well, he did say the salmon was a little dry though. My parents dishes were very spicy though and we ordered the least spiciest option. Overall I loved it, parents didn't and my husband said the other thai restaurant down the street was better. I say you can't knock it until you try it.

  • Mary C.

This is my favorite Thai restaurant. I love the drunken noodle, pad thai, and Tom Yung Koong. I'm sure the rest is great too but those are my favorite Thai foods and Angel Thai makes them just the way I like them. Good thing I don't live close enough for them to deliver or I would be broke. I would give 5 stars but the price is a little high. Maybe they all charge that much now but I wouldn't know because I don't go anywhere else.

  • Skip B.

This is our favorite Thai restaurant. The service is great and the food is the most tasty we've found. We have eaten at many Thai joints but when we eat elsewhere we always find ourselves comparing what we have to Angel Thai and it is found lacking. Pad Kee Mow and Beef Salad are superb - We highly recommend this place.

  • Lily O.

Service was slow. There was a lot of people in there idk if that had anything to do with it. I ordered the silver noodle with beef. I couldn't stand the smell. Idk if I'll be returning

We have been here a few times in the past five years and can never remember if we liked it or not. That should have been our first warning, not terrible but nothing worth remembering. Tonight we ordered the massaman curry and spicy noodles. My dish came out about 5 minutes before the BF's. The rice was so hard I could barely chew it and had to send back. I have worked in the service industry and only send items back that are inedible. So if I send something back you know it's bad. As for the rest of the dish the carrots were still raw and the potatoes just passed as being cooked through, I think it's safe to say my dish definitely could've used that extra five minutes on the stove to cook. The spicy noodles were ok, packed a lot of heat and had our noses running when we asked for a spicy level of three. But luckily we like spicy food so we ate it. Was much better with a generous helping of soy sauce. Looks like we will be continuing our hunt for a great Thai place in Riverside...

Very pleasant atmosphere. I enjoyed the pad Thai and the portion size was generous. I'm going to make this a regular stop for lunch.

This place is really good. Food is great and they have lots of variety. The physical restaurant is ok, a biit on the drab side, but clean. The staff is welcoming and accomodating. I will be back.

  • Ryan C.

horrible service and I am pretty sure those who have given this 4-5 stars is either family or have never eaten thai food before. The larb is horrific and served in a pile on a plate, when we asked for cabbage, lettuce or even basil to wrap it her response was "this is how Americans like to eat it" she repeated that montra over and over again, insulting to say the least and factually inaccurate. i was not aware that this was Mcdonalds, I thought I pulled into a Thai restaurant. Then she huffed off and brought us back chopped up iceberg lettuce, I asked her again how does she plan for us to eat it like a wrap as THE MENU states? her response was "I don't know this is how americans like it. WOW after that she came back with the statement that the crab fried rice was not available and then walked away....ummm so can we order something else? we ordered the Angel Thai fried rice that had chicken beef and pork with sauteed vegetables (again menu described) when it came out it had huge logs of the immitation crab and some onions and pees. I asked her about the sauteed vegetables and she said it was the onions and pees, well last time I ordered fried rice it always has corn and pees.... the pork was tough and bland and so was the beef. I asked for my lemonade to be refilled and she sat down at a table with what looked like her grandmother (WHO had her shoes off and her nasty bare feet propped up on a chair and was folding the napkins and silver ware. ugh, gross and unsanitary) I asked again and she brought me water......I asked again and she said she would refill it for me. we were one of two tables only in the place and its no wonder, this was 6:30 and it was a ghost town. I have been before to meet my dad where it is close to his work and I have had their bland orange chicken and was not impressed, (EVERY time I have gone it has been empty), every time I have not liked the food, but he likes the family and felt bad that they were struggling so he was supportive. well we take a lot of grief for friends I guess. this place has no idea how to have service and the Thai food is bland at best. so if you don't mind fake thai food served with an attitude and a barefoot grandma in an empty restaurant then fine go for it, but the friends who post here are not accurate. try the MANY great Thai restaurants in town who don't insult you as "The Americans like it that way"

Must-haves: Nothing but if you must...Drunken' Noodles [D] Skip: Everything else High calorie mediocrity I really wasn't a fan of the food at Angel Thai. I tried the drunken noodles, what they apparently known for, and was very disappointed. The flavor was lacking despite the sodium overload =/ Why go here when you have Bann Thai, IMO the best thai place in this area, down the street? :) Food: F | Service: C | Selection: D | Experience: F | Overall: F

Had the beef Pad See Ewe, served fast and it was really tasty. They serve you a lot too. I'd rather go here over some places that look fancy and the service isn't all that. When I'm craving Thai in Riverside, I go here. They also deliver (uncommon)

  • Marcus V.

What can I say, Amazingly Fast Service!!! I ordered 6 miles away from their location and had my food delivered in 30 min!!! The food was HUGE portions and amazing. The Crab fried rice had HUGE chunks of crab meat on top. The shrimp yellow curry spiced just right. The shrimp pad Thai is on point!!! To finish it all off we had the mango rice for dessert. What a great last second meal.

Can't decide between here and Bann Thai. Both very good. They recently re modeled, and it is very nice. All new seats and booths, and also newly painted. They portions here a larger than Bann, Every time I go food is freshly made, and taste delicious. I've had pad thai and silver noodles with chicken, very yummy. I guess the only downfall is that they don't have fountain soda machine, so they give you canned soda.

Our first time here and overall it was quite good. Although our meal was not perfect, I would never hesitate to order and re-order the Siam beef salad (one order for me and another order for everyone else - or they get their hand forked). We tried the pork pepper and garlic ribs - nice but could have definitely been cooked longer as they were slightly pink inside and were not as crispy outside as I like. However the sauce was delish. I was less impressed with the pineapple rice with chicken, but it at least had a generous handful of toasted cashews and fresh pineapple chunks. The appetizer plate (called Angel basket) was just ok, and I would not get it again. The half moon tons, while tasty, seemed to be missing the crab. The garden rolls were "eh". And honestly, I think they did not include the Thai mini rolls now that I think about it. The little wrapped shrimp were fresh and nicely done. Despite those few let downs, I would definitely return. I am a big fan of Thai noodles, and a good Tom Ka Kai soup, won ton soup, pad woo sen, and yellow curry could lure me in. I look forward to trying their versions after reading the other reviews. Now for dessert. My husband was looking for the sticky rice and mango, but mango season had passed. Rats! However, I cannot say enough about their homemade coconut ice cream. Huge scoop, outstandingly creamy, not too sweet, with chunks of young coconut throughout. Presented with 3 toasted cashews on top. Oh my, sooooo good! This is a must-try. Service was great, parking was plentiful in the back lot, and the interior was clean and appealing. Prices were reasonable and typical of this type of restaurant.

While the decor may not be up to par with Bann Thai, the food is 10 times better. And when I go somewhere I am more concerned with how the food tastes than how the room looks. Every meal we have had here has been delicious. We have had the chicken satay (which the lil ones loved), garlic and mushroom chicken, orange chicken, cashew chicken and fried rice. Everything is fresh and not baked in butter or greasy. Customer service has always been courteous and attentive without being smoothering.

We have been ordering Angel Thai for delivery for a few years now. We have always been very satisfied with our meals. But just yesterday, I decided to go for lunch! My 3 year old daughter and I were greeted and treated so well the entire visit. The food was delish! Angel Thai has a great lunch menu which we will definitely be back for!!! Great food, great service, good price, you just cant go wrong! Highly recommend!!!

Located in the Brockton arcade, the family-owned and operated restaurant offers the residents of riverside some the best Thai cuisine's around. The menu reflects both the traditional, as well as some wonderful original Thai dishes that will surely please everyone who appreciates quality Thai food. The servers are friendly and the food is fresh, presenting the wonderful flavors of Thailand to Riverside locals. The portions are more than ample and prices are outstanding. Some of the many dishes I enjoy are the Spicy Noodles, the popular Larb (ground beef, pork, or chicken with chilies, onions, rice powder and lime juice), the wonderful Pepper and Garlic Beef, the unique deep-fried Trout with Mango Sauce, the Panang Salmon, the Garlic and Black Pepper Shrimp, their delicious Mini-Chicken Eggrolls (12 per order!) which are uniquely peppery and delicious and lastly well their traditional Thai classic Pad Thai. Best Thai in Riverside, hands down. Lunch specials are incredible. Get the Hot Basil or the Penang Curry.

After reading some of the other reviews I was pleasantly surprised by a number of things. 1. I went with a friend during their lunch rush, not one open table, but we were greeted immediately, and service throughout was very professional and prompt. 2. As this was my first time there I asked the server for some suggestions, he suggested the papaya salad, green curry and pad thai. All were excellent. Overall the food and service were great and good value. I have been to Thailand many times and although the food was not quite what you would eat in Bangkok, it's pretty close. I will definitely be back to try more of their menu. Cheers!

I love thai food...mostly my curries :) when i moved here recently I went on a search for the area's best thai food- THIS IS IT!!! I absolutely LOVE the red, green and panang curries with chicken. They also have great thai basil chicken and chicken fried rice. All chicken is white meat (with out having to ask for it!!) flavors are amazing and you have the option for the level of spicy. The girls that work there are so friendly and know who I am when I call in for my to go orders and always remember what my husband and I like to order without me having to say. (and no, I don't go every day! lol) They recently remodeled the restaurant and it looks amazing! I would highly recommend this place for thai food!

We ate there last week and found Angel Thai to be a friendly place. The service was very good. Portion sizes are appropriate. Unfortunately the was just good not great. There are at least two other Thai restaurants that exceed flavor expectations in Riverside. I will return to them.

Very courteous with phone order for delivery, delivered promptly and packaged well. The food was good, but not excellent. Pad see ew, was okay, panang curry pretty good. ...,."'

This place has some amazing food, most of the time. Some days you get more, some days you get less. I love the tastes. They are really nice to their customer. I go here all the time. Each plate is around $10, but you do not just want one item. Great to share plates, it is kind of like PF Chang in that way.

Great thai place in the area. Better than some nearby places. Better priced. I think this place falters with the kitchen being visible (right behind the register). Awesome lunch special. You rarely see a Pad Se Eew lunch special at other Thai places.

I've eaten here several times in the last two months, and have become a real fan. We've eaten quite a few entrees on the menu and find them all really tasty. Some of our favorites are cucumber salad, fresh spring rolls, green curry with just about any type of protein in it (chicken, shrimp, duck or tofu). Last night we had a late dinner after a rigorous mountain bike ride, and at the end of the meal the waitress asks if we would like mango sticky rice? Heck yeah we want it, and when we got the order it was delicious, what a great way to cap off a great dinner. And all the women that work at Angel Thai are very warm and accommodating. Great food, excellent service offered at a fair price.

My co-workers and I frequent this restaurant. In fact, many of my co-workers had never had Thai food before and they all enjoyed it. I've never had bad food or a bad experience. The service is friendly and quick and the food is delicious!

I really like this restaurant. They have really fast phone order service. When I go on my lunch break at work, I phone them, and it's already ready by the time i get there. Their lunch specials are pretty reasonable. For example, you can order some drunken noodles, and you get an eggroll, a cup of some Tom Yum soup, and some jasmine rice for $6.99. The only thing that sucks is you only get about a half order of the normal order of noodles when you get the lunch special. Their noodles are very delicious and they give you a lot of meat with your order. The atmosphere is pretty cute too. The employees are nice and polite as well. There's always plenty of seats and it's not cramped at all. I really like this place!

  • Anthony M.

I love this place! This Thai is the best I've ever had. I've never had a bad experience here. The waitresses are all very polite and not annoyingly chatty. They have the best tofu around. Unlike the negative review below, I love and order the Tom Ka Kai every time. It is by far the best I've had. Get the Drunken Noodles! They get a 5 star rating from me because the food is A+. Location alone would not get a 5, but the food buts it way up there.

I used to go to Bann Thai, but not anymore! You must try the crab fried rice...it's freakin delicious. I often daydream about it. Their pad Thai is great as well.

the girlfriend and i love this place. we've been here 3-4 times. girlfriend loves noodles so we usually get pad thai, which is pretty good, or the pad see-ew. we like the pad see-ew better, really good bean sauce.the papaya salad is a must every time and these guys make it the best. this last time i had the tom kha soup. its a coconut soup with lime and cilantro! awesome combination and my new favorite. the massaman curry is also delicious. the waitresses and cooks are very nice and love to help order. never had any issue waiting for refills or checking on us. prices are very reasonable and large servings. they have lunch specials that seem good for the price also. i cant think of anything negative to say. remember to tip!!!

Love this place! You can get tofu instead of meat and they offer brown rice. My favorite entrees are the Spicy Eggplant and Prink-Khing. However my must try suggestion is the Papaya salad. It is rather spicy but amazing! I will say I was a bit dissapointed in the Pad Thai but I rarely order that anymore anyway.

My boyfriend and I absolutely LOVE this place! We've been going here since back when it was Bobo's under a different ownership. Once it changed from Chinese to Thai food we were all over it! We hate Table for Two, so this seemed like a cool new option to check out. The decor and small size of the restaurant can be offputting to some, if you're picky about that stuff. But don't let it fool you! They have some of the best Pad See Ewe I've ever had! They do it just right, not too many extra vegetables, great sauce, plenty of broccoli and tofu (or whichever meat you prefer). Delicious! Also, try the Half Moon 'Tons, if you're into the whole Crab Rangoon type of thing, they're incredible! I think we've had almost every item on their menu at this point and will continue to go back as long as we live in Riverside. The staff is so friendly and nice! We had only been there a few times and they already remembered us and what we liked to order! Pretty impressive!

The Pad Thai was good, but the yellow curry was so salty I couldn't eat it.

I'm a huge Thai food fan and have tried every one within 5 miles of my house. I have been disappointed with a few and generally satisfied with a few, but Angel is the first one where I love the food and the staff. They are friendly, flexible, quick, and the food it flavorful! I have food allergies that make ordering food really annoying, but the waiters and waitresses here are so patient and accommodating.

I absolutely love this place. The only reason it's 4 and not 5 stars is because the service is slow (very friendly, but be prepared to wait an hour for take-out). They make Tom Kha soup without chicken stock, which is great for a veggie like me. I love curries and they have several types. Recommended.

absolutely the best Thai food in Riverside, hands down. Great authentic flavors, great Thai service. I read some of the reviews that bad mouthed this place, and I can tell you that I have been eating there almost 3 times a month and have never had bad food or bad service.

Cute place, used to be bobo Thai. I really enjoyed getting the eggplant and tofu until I watched how it was made...deep fried, twice, it's good but not worth that amount of calories in my mind. I do enjoy the red curry (I know, not technically veggie due to fish sauce) and the tofu spring rolls are really good in my opinion. Fried rice is really good here. Pad Thai is normal, not exceptional but tasty. Getting it to go is nice, so is eating there if you don't mind being the only ones in there (sorta takes away from going out to eat if it's just us, in my mind). I like to look at the pets next door at Elliot's while we wait.

At least it was clean... We read a review of this place on a "best food of Riverside" list, and I will not be trying ANY of the other restaurants on that list because of this one. First thing that struck us was the prices...a bit on the high side, but you pay for quality, right? Being huge Thai fans, my wife and I decided to really put this place through its paces. We ordered the full appetizer sampler, the Tom Yum Kai soup, Orange Chicken (for the wife), beef panang curry (for me), and Pad Thai (to share). A nice, wide range of items to give them every possible chance to impress us. Sadly, they failed on every count. First red flag was getting cans when we ordered sodas. Perhaps some people prefer this, but this means refills are not free, and you have to ration your drink. Not a plus in my book. Second, the appetizers took quite a while to come out. Not long enough that we considered leaving or anything, but long enough that our stomachs were rumbling. When they did come out, the soup and entrées followed almost immediately after. No points there. The Tom Yum Kai, which I use to judge ANY good thai place was a severe disappointment. The broth was pale and yellow (unlike the fiery red that one hopes to see), and tasted like chicken broth with a bit of a lemongrass kick...not to mention, it contained tomatoes, and regular button mushrooms, instead of straw (!). Overall, worse than any attempt I've ever made at home. The orange chicken was on par with what you'd get from Panda Express, and the the curry was somewhat bland. The Pad Thai was a sickly sweet nightmare with rubbery noodles, and came pre-mixed (instead of the garnishes such as lime, sprouts, and peanuts being served on the side). We left most of that on the plate, and didn't get a to-go box. It was that bad. The bill ran us $10-15 more total than our normal digs (Jumbo Bowl), and the food made us wish we'd skipped Thai altogether and just headed across the street to Little Green Onions and had a (delicious) burrito. Bottom line: There are many better places to eat in the direct vicinity of this joint, and there are FAR better thai places within reasonable driving distance. Don't waste your time or your money unless you dig americanized, bland, caricatures of thai dishes.

Best Thai place in the area. We go weekly, and have been for a couple of years. Excellent lunch specials!. Since we are creatures of habit, the waitress has our drinks as we walk in the door and knows what we will order. Drunken Noodles (I think now called mee kao, but unless you like it inferno, don't get "spicy", medium will do) and a bowl of tom kha soup or glass noodles (pad woo sen). Great flavors and fresh ingredients.

I had come here a few times for lunch but stopped when I started to go to Bann Thai instead. I think I'm changing my mind back over to Angel Thai, though. The prices are more reasonable for the same quality and same portions as Bann Thai. Everyone who works there is very friendly and service is pretty quick. They also have free delivery if you're near by and order $25. Last time I came here we ordered the chicken dumpling soup, pad thai, green curry, and spring rolls. Everything was excellent except for the pad thai but that just may be because its not my favorite thai dish and I always find it a bit boring.

Have been to this restaurant 2 times. The second time we went there, we received the worst service from any restaurants we'd been to (and we eat out regularly because we don't cook). The server was slow and rude. We had to flag her down to take our orders, and there were only two tables at the time. The food took 45 minutes to prepare. We ordered the pad thai, the spinach and tofu entree, the pineapple fried rice, and the eggplant with chicken entree. The spinach and tofu dish was awful. It was very bland. The fried rice lacked flavor. The eggplant dish was mushy. The only dish we were able eat was the pad thai noodle. When we were finished, we had to flag down the server three times to get our bill, and on top of the bad service, she overcharged our bill. Don't bother going here unless you are desperate. If you like Thai food, you should give Gra-Pow a try. The food, service, and ambience are much better at Gra-Pow. For those reviewers that give this place five stars, these people either have never eaten really good authentic Thai food or they are the owners/managers/friends posting the reviews themselves.

the staff is super friendly here and the nice lady that's always there recognizes me every time and asks me if i want the usual haha i ALWAYS get the sticky mango rice, it's supposed to be like a desert but i just eat it as a meal. it's really really good here and the portions are pretty good for the price. as for the rest of their food, many of my friends have been here and i've heard everything else is amazing! it's very clean and has a calming vibe. the place is never too busy when i go in, but regardless their customer service is always great. i always take my food to go and they're very quick with their service.

Great food, great service and reasonable prices. The only issue I've ever had was with their delivery taking slightly longer than expected but that's an occasional issue that is bound to pop up.

Angel Thai is my husbands and my favorite place to eat in Riverside. The food is fresh and the service is great. We can't get enough of the tom yum soup! Curries are great too. And the prices are right. Enjoy!

Good thai food. I love them because they actually have brown rice and they have good tofu. The service is nice and the prices are good. I highly recommend them. BTW, my friend is Thai and he eats there often so that says something about their food quality.

I eat here often, but get it as carry out more often, since it's very close to my residence. The service is always very friendly, the food always fresh. The only complaint I have is the way they cook their beef - it's often tough and dry, otherwise everything is consistently wonderful. Best spring rolls I've ever had, also. Never too greasy, always delicious and homemade tasting.
