Mr Pickles Sandwich Shop Menu

Sorry, We are updating this restaurant menu details.

Great quality and you get so much for the price! My sandwich was humongous, it took me two seatings to finish my sandwich. They also have tons of options to choose from, I couldn't decide what I wanted. Nice and funky atmosphere and great service! The employees are always so helpful and friendly. My only complaint was the last time I was here my bread was extremely stale. And I was really looking forward to Dutch crunch!

Three times in a week. Just looking for a good moderately healthy sandwich and told my parents about the place as well. We tried turkey, pastrami, roast beef, on wheat, rolls etc. The meat is tasty and generous. The bread isn't amazing, but fresh and good, and the ingredients are definitely fresh tasting. Also even during lunch where there is a line, they manage it well and have great quick service.

Probably my favorite sandwich spot as of right now. I recently ate there for my second time ever, but first time as a vegetarian. I ordered their only veg-friendly sandwich on the menu which was still super hearty (enough for two meals), but literally anything can be customized however you want, so I wasn't limited. The sandwiches are bomb, the place has a great vibe to it, and the staff are all very personable and will go above and beyond to make sure you're stoked to be there.

Local Deli with wide variety of sandwiches and other specialties. I love the Gaucho, on Dutch Crunch roll with everything EXCEPT the Garlic Sauce. The Garlic Sauce is intense and spicy, and I find it too much. You can always ask to have them hold it, but if you say everything, you get garlic sauce. All the ingredients are fresh, and there is often a line out the door at lunch or Sunday Morning after church. The people there are friendly, and the staff is very helpful. They are very reasonable, large portions, and you can eat inside or outside or to go. Right next door is a Starbucks for your coffee needs.

Wow just had an AMAZING Cezar Salad at Mr. Pickles! Not only was the chicken hot off the grill all the veggies were fresh and delicious! The extra bonus was the Super awesome people who work at Mr.Pickles!

Mr.Pickle surprised me I'm not often surprised by a sandwich place since there's a million of them. After dealing with a terrible parking lot and the menu was different I was on edge already. But the staff was more than helpful and upbeat. The place is low key and clean. My sandwich was delicious to die for fresh bread oh and they have gluten free! I love great looking toppings none of that old, been sitting out for days stuff. Over all a wide great selection. I would definitely be coming here again. Just avoid lunch time and Fridays it does get super packed. But if you don't mind the wait prepare yourself to be pleasantly surprised.

Good sandwiches and convenient location. They also have breakfast burritos (small in size for the price) that are tasty.

I lived in Petaluma for 20 years and this is the best sandwich shop in town. I still swing by when I'm in town and they never disappoint me. Moved to Santa Rosa and their mr. pickle isn't nearly as good. We miss you Petaluma location.

Having eaten at several of the Mr. Pickles locations in Modesto (where we live), we decided to give the one in Petaluma a try last week. While the quality of the ingredients was as good as in Modesto, I noticed my sandwich only had about half as much meat as I have grown accustomed to here in the 209. I'm sure the rent in Petaluma is much higher, but frankly I'd rather pay a little more for the sandwich and get the flat-out excellence I've grown accustomed to.

Mr. Pickles is a great sandwich shop! I've been there twice, and while their menu system was a little strange the first time (Even if you order a sandwich off their menu, they still ask what you want on it), this place was great after I actually got my sandwich. The Pulp Fiction is my current favorite, but they have a huge menu and EVERYTHING can be customized. This place can be really busy if you try to go at lunch, but I'm not going to take a star off for that. They're popular, not short staffed or badly managed. Wait until the crowd thins out and give this place a try!

  • Jere C.

Mr. Pickles is great. The staff is friendly and helpful. The sandwiches are fresh and decent size. I made two meals of it. Love me the Dutch crunch bread. I'm from socal and had never heard of Dutch Crunch Bread. But now I love it. Mr. Pickles totally beats Togos or Subway. Give it a shot!

I was on a road trip up to Santa Rosa and we ended up stopping here for coffee and food. We saw Mr. Pickles and thought sandwiches sounded good. We definitely made the right decision! I got the P-Town and it was amazing! Everything tasted fresh and if you don't get the Dutch Crunch bread than you are missing out. This place definitely feels like your typical local sandwich shop, which by the way is the best place to find a great sandwich!

Came here for lunch last weekend while doing house work. It was fast even though there was a huge line. My husband and I both devoured our sandwiches SO fast. I haven't had a sammie that good in a long time. I will definitely be frequenting this Mr. Pickles again in the future. Everyone we dealt with was super friendly, too.

The Pulp Fiction is a mastermind piece of art (on Dutch crunch, of course). I also appreciate the excellent customer service I experience each time I go in. This is my fave sandwich spot!

We order sandwiches at least once a week for our office! Staff is amazing, always friendly and quick! Staff seems so happy and positive even though they're always packed and running around. Our orders are always exactly like we want them! The owner works along side with her crew and is very humble and sweet. Nothing but GREAT things to say about this place. -Enclave at Adobe Creek

I like this place a lot. I eat hear about twice a week. The staff here is pretty good, they always remember my name (sorry guys if I forget yours). I love the sandwiches. The worst thing is the wait. It is always really busy here despite having a ton of staff. I'm glad they are doing well and will continue eating here.

Mr Pickles is my favorite sandwich chain. Well, that and Jersey MikeS. Don't come her expecting it to be like Ike's or fries chicken Betty's but it's consistent . Great bread good prices and there is one in every time. I recommend the pastrami with Swiss on a soft roll. Bag of dirty chips (I like to out the chips in the sandwich) and you are good to go for about 8 hours. Even if I could eat at Subway for $2 instead... I'd probably rather not eat. This spot rocks!

  • Rick B.

It's sort of the old fashion neighborhood sandwich joint. Friendly people, great quality of ingredients. And the menu is hard to narrow down because there's about a half dozen torpedoes that are super delicious. And that's on the normal menu...wait 'til you get to the secret menu ;) Love the not-a-huge-chain family feel.

  • Gaetana M.

I dream of Mr. pickles. The pastrami sandwich is by far my favorite and I will drive an hour just to eat it. The garlic sauce makes the sandwich unique. Something you can't find at another sandwich shop. I love the bread and all the choices. They also have a great kid menu. Super awesome staff. Always a great meal at this good feeling place.

  • Dan J.

Fun staff, good food, never disappointed. I recommend trying the #13 or #10- but you really can't go wrong with any of the sandwiches. And the garlic sauce and wheat roll are to die for!

  • Davet M.

Great food! Wonderful people!!! I went there for lunch on my way home. Customer service was great. Everyone was smiling and friendly. The garlic sauce was yummy. I catered a party tray for a work event the next day and it was a hit. Everyone loved it! The presentation was more than I could ask for. The lollipops were the cherry on the top! Thank you!

  • Shannon T.

Now, I wouldn't recommend just stopping by on a Friday at noon time, because this place can get pretty packed , but I had to give them 5 starts because the staff is always super friendly, and the Gaucho Salad is AMAZING!! It is worth every penny of the $7.99 that is costs -- its huge ! And unlike some places, they give you 2 large packets of dressing , and don't charge you for a third. Any place that combines cheese, bacon, avocado , chicken and makes it into a salad is alright with me !!

I have family in Petaluma and have been here couple of times. I actually really like Mr Pickels and requested it last time we were in town. Nothing special, just a good fresh sandwich. Big enough for me and my wife to share. I believe we got the godfather last time in the crunch bread. Come here to see for yourself.

It was an okay place. I like that they aren't a franchised type place, like Subway/Quizno model. I think they had a good select and they support their local community pretty decently. The sandwich I had was all right, but I felt a bit pricey for what I got.. Its a bit off the beaten path for me, but if you're in the neighborhood and need a quick bite, check it out

Great service; wide selection. Helpful staff offers ideas. Veggie sub as a spinach wrapped was excellent. Friendly, well-located, plenty of parking. Prefer cash, accepts credit (I think)

So excited they offer gluten free bread now!! more places need to do this!! Great service and they made sure to make my food very careful as to not make me sick by contaminating my food with gluten :-) very happy and excited.

My boyfriend surprised me today with a sandwich from Mr. Pickles. I guess he was up early, or rather I was sleeping in super late, and he was a sweetheart and ran my errands for me. At Mr. Pickles, he described to the person taking his order what I liked, and they were able to assemble me a sandwich which I would have chosen for myself. Impressive. It traveled pretty well too, especially for having so many goodies inside. Usually sandwiches get soggy after sitting in the bag for a while, especially ones loaded with veggies. The sourdough roll is nice and tough like sourdough ought to be. It took me a while to get to it and I was eating it slowly but it stayed consistently good throughout my long gastronomical adventure. In fact, I was eating it so slowly that two different cats managed to sneak off with a bit of turkey. Sneaky critters... Oh and always a plus in my book, Mr. Pickles does not skimp on the veggies. I had tons of juicy tomatoes and a very ample portion of avocado. ME GUSTA!

Not the chain itself, but this particular location is flat out horrible. My last 3 orders were all messed up and not what I had ordered at all. The final straw was when I called to place an order over the phone to pick-up later. The girl who answered right away asked if I could please hold, which I was happy to oblige because I could hear the crowd of hungry customers in the background. So I waited....and waited....and waited. By this time, the timer on my work phone showed 25 minutes and counting since I last heard a voice on the other end. In the meantime, I could hear sandwiches being wrapped, staff laughing, conversations amongst staff and I even heard one lady singing away........but no one still picked up the phone. There were at least 3 or 4 other calls that came in while I sat there on hold (you can hear the calls clicking in from the Call Waiting feature). Finally, over 26 minutes later (according to my phone timer), a lady picked up the phone. She barely said anything and just hung up on me. After all that time.....I get hung up on. I immediately called back and could tell from the voice that the person who answered the phone this time was actually the one singing earlier. I told her that I had been on hold for over 26 minutes and then got hung up on. Rather than apologize for any mistake(s), she immediately lied and fed me some story about how they were having sudden 'phone issues'. I immediately called her out on this lie and told her that I could tell she was the one singing earlier. Her entire tone changed, as she knew she was busted. Didn't try to dispute the claim. Just replied with, "....oh." I then told her that during her supposed 'phone issue', she also missed out on about 3-4 other orders while I was left on hold. Went to the site to file a complaint and found out that the chain doesn't even claim these guys as part of their own. Almost a year had passed when a co-worker finally convinced me to give them one more try. Guess what. They screwed up my order again. BBQ Chicken with just BBQ sauce, cheese and pickles. That was it. Pretty simple, huh?! Apparently not because as soon as I unwrapped my food, it looked like someone's garden blew up in my sandwich along with the various condiments oozing out of it. Should have never even bothered with the last chance. Now none of my co-workers go there anymore and don't even think about asking me to go there, as they have seen what has happened, too. I also find it pretty gross to see people wipe their hands all over themselves and everywhere else right before handling the food. They don't even wear gloves nor do they seem to make it a point to wash their hands very often, if at all. You can't even pay me to go back to this place. No attention to details what so ever.

Best sandwiches in Petsluma. A great sandwich starts with great bread and their rolls are fresh and fabulous. The owner told me that they are made by Boudin in San Francisco. Their "Terminator" sandwich is the closest thing you will find to an East Coast Italian submarine on the West Coast.

One of best places to grab a bite and go or just sit down and enjoy some really tastey meals. All of the food is made right in front of you with a great staff to boot! My kids love this place and business clients love it as well. Great price and perfect place. Thanks

This is not your ordinary sandwich shop. I happened to be making a stop for work in Petaluma and remembered my brother telling me about this sandwich spot. My brother isn't much of a sandwich person and for him to pitch this spot me I had to give it a go. Surprised by the friendly approachable service I was given, the associate greeted me with a smile and asked what I would like. She knew what to say without me even asking. She knows her sandwiches and presented me with a breakdown of the top selling sandwiches there. She had me sold already, especially when she mentioned the sandwiches are warmed up and mentioned they had dutch crust bread. The selection of options is sure to make any sandwich lover drool over any choice. I ordered the Mr. Pickle: Chicken breast, bacon, avocado, and jack cheese on dutch crust roll with all the fixings. Mayo, mustard, garlic sauce, lettuce, tomato, peppers, onions and of course pickles. It was an amazing full size sandwich, warm and toasted and I inhaled the whole thing. Definitely, a sandwich worthy of its company name.

I wanted to mention that I noticed Mr. Pickles now has their famous t-shirts and other Mr. P gear for sale on their website. Nice for those of us who don't live in CA.

Subway this place is not. I'm the type of person who loves to support local businesses whenever possible. As I was passing through petaluma on my lunch break I saw a subway and Mr.Pickles sandwich shop. Subway is ok if you want a cheap in both quality and price. Sometimes that's ok, but if you're like me and don't mind spending an extra $1.50 on a good quality product then you can do no better then this fine establishment. I had the #19 on Dutch crunch, it was hot pastrami with avocado, cream cheese and "baja" sauce. The pastrami was really flavorful, not at all fatty and just the right amount. The avocado, cream cheese and "baja" sauce which is like a slight spice infused mayo really brought it all together. As for the customer service it was top notch, they really make you feel appreciated as a customer. I find that not many places still do that. In the end I cant wait to go back and bring my wife as we check out the near by outlets.

This place is awesome. When I first had kids, some other new moms and myself would walk at Shollenberger and come here for lunch after. The staff went out of their way to wait on us at the tables since we were juggling newborns and they were super accommodating of our baby care and nursing needs. Their sandwiches are super yummy but even if they weren't, they would win my vote on customer service alone!!

I Love Mr. Pickles! Every time im in town, I come straight here for a Bacon Bubba on Dutch Crunch roll with a potato salad on the side! Im a bacon kinda girl and this sandwich does the trick when im craving bacon!

I got #18 Gone Golfing sandwich on wheat ($6.99) - turkey, avocado, cream cheese and something else - I forgot. The ingredients were decent and the turkey was really good (thick and came apart easily). The sandwiches are a decent size and fill you up. They are more dense and structured than Togo's or Subway. The tall, older lady taking our order was very rude. When she brought over our sandwiches, she was very condescending and should not be able to serve customers (maybe she just doesn't like a hoard of Asian people in the store?). "Did you order this? Are you sure YOU didn't order this? Oh, then I guess this one is yours" in a very rude tone! She was the oldest one there so I'm guessing she was the manager b/c she wasn't taking orders until the line got out the door. The rest of the bunch were exactly the opposite - very accommodating and great customer service, especially the young guy at the cashier yesterday and the Mexican guy who wrapped our sandwiches if we didn't finish. This place would be definitely 4 stars without that rude lady! Maybe I will try a Mr. Pickles somewhere else...

This place is sh*t. Not in that "oh, it's the SH*T!" way, but in that "oh, this place is complete SH*T!" kinda way. Now excuse me for even attempting to confuse this Mr. Pickles with all the others I have frequented in the bay area (the peninsula mainly), because this sandwich shop is just that and considering my order today, it's just barely that. My visits to other said Mr. Pickles got me a huge, tasty, fresh, scrumptious, delectable sandwich. The Mr. Pickles in Petaluma is none of the above. And to top it off, the line moves insanely slow (even though there's quite a few of them behind the counter making sandwiches) and in the end the sandwich you get is about as big as a 99 cent bean & cheese burrito from Taco Bell. Mr. Pickles Petaluma, No Thank You!!

  • Amber D.

If you're a vegetarian you're getting a cold cheese sandwich with cucumbers- that's your only option. One of the kids working there offered to microwave it for me when I asked if could be a hot sandwich like all the others on the menu- I opted out. I gave it 2 stars because it's just not great at all. It's just pretty hard to make a bad sandwich. Even my bf didn't like his pastrami. The potato salad was ok, but the macaroni salad was bad. I would have given it 1 star but I liked all the old fashioned sodas in glass bottles they had, like Strawberry Crush and Vernors Ginger Ale. Bottom line- if you're looking for a good sandwich in the area, especially if you're a vegetarian, there are plenty of better options.

  • Alexys P.

I'm not sure if the people who say this place is on par with subway have actually eaten at mr pickles. Seriously. Campy decorations and sandwich names, but the sandwiches are great and even with a line they move quickly. My favorite is any sandwich with pastrami, because unlike most places that serve pastrami theirs is not 50% fat (gross).

Great variety of sandwiches. The staff is really fun and engaging. All of the ingredients are fresh and they have fun sandwich specials posted for people to try. The cookies are also good.

We had a wonderful lunch at Mr. Pickle's Sandwich Shop. They even make a great vegan sandwich. Krista was so helpful and we so enjoyed chatting with her. Everyone in our group had a great lunch. We look forward to coming back again.

  • Beth A.

I had a "Hot T" Basically a hot turkey cranberry sandwich. The meat was hot - but the bread and everything else wasn't :-/ This would've been way better as a toasted sandwich in my opinion. The baja sauce was awesome. Also - the bread I got wasn't very good - it was sourdough and reminded of the take-n-bake bread that you brown when you get home - only before you brown it. It could've stayed in the oven a bit longer. I'll go back to try some of the other sandwiches and hopefully bump them up one or two.

Decent sandwiches. The olive oil garlic spread is a good alternative for those like me that don't care for mayo and mustard. The bread is fresh. I had whole wheat one day and a sour french roll several days later. They also have nice alternative beverages rather than just Coke, Pepsi, etc. But, what really makes this Mr Pickles better than Subway or some of the other sandwich shops is the friendly people that work there. They are very well-trained in personal customer service. I like shopping where I feel I'm valued as a customer and it is rare to find that consistently at a fast food place. It is very refreshing.

  • Linda M.

Ok, Mr. Pickles, you've seriously grown on me. I love the tuna sandwich with avocado. The name escapes me right now but I'm addicted. I order it every time. And the garlic sauce stuff is the shit. Also, the people that work there are always really nice. There was one guy in particular who is always really friendly and helpful. I'm terrible at remembering names to cite in Yelp reviews, but he's cute with brown hair. He helped my sister and I figure out the mystery behind the delicious garlic stuff they put on the sandwiches. Enough of the vague review, simply put -- I'm a fan.

Really delicious sandwiches here. When they say everything on it, they mean everything, too: mayo, mustard, garlic sauce, tomato, lettuce, onion, pickles, peppers. I ordered I think a #16 (pastrami, cream cheese, avocado) on Dutch crunch with everything, no mayo. Loved everything, and the Dutch roll was absolutely delicious - lots of crunch and a good bready flavor. The decor is sort of a local/sports mixture, with a couple of other random things thrown in (movie poster for Pulp Fiction, what?). Not exactly my scene, but kind of nice that it looks like they're somewhat involved in the community. Super friendly staff, about $20 for two sandwiches, chips, and drinks, and complimentary lollipops - what else could you ask for?

  • K G.

Really delicious sandwiches. I love the avocado, cucumber, and cheese. The sweet rolls and sour rolls are delicious. The fillings are pretty generous. Sometimes the service is a bit slow, but overall, a great sandwich spot.

A great place to catch a sandwich and a drink after a game, golfing, shopping, etc. The choices of sandwiches are intriguing. They are made on the spot. Fresh! It is a small placew, but they keep the customers moving. You can sit inside, or weather permitting, sit outside. I have eaten there perhaps 20 times and never have been disappointed. I noted by the pictures on the wall the owners support all the youth sports in Petaluma. It is great to see the kids in their uniforms.

This review is mainly for the Vegetarian sandwich (since I 'am hooked to that and rarely try other things). It is one awesome sandwich .I wish they would add Gluten Free bread to their menu in which case I would go back to frequenting this place . Love their sandwiches!

We usually eat at the one in Santa Rosa. We decided to stop in for a sandwich, the sandwiches were very good and filling. I would have rated as a 5, but am giving 3.5 stars. Reason,There was an older woman making sandwiches(not sure if owner) without gloves on, wiping her hands on her apron and her mouth hanging wide open. A big stomach turner. I'm glad she didn't make our sandwiches.

Why the hell are there two listings on Yelp for this place? Anyway, I thought they were blech. Everything just tasted stale. You know how food can look amazing but taste like absolute crap and then you're incredibly disappointed as soon as you take the first bite? Yea. It's sort of like that. Such a shame.

I've been here numerous times since they've opened and the place has a lot to like. They're sandwiches are unique and very filling. They have "specials" and if you remember the name of a particular special they'll happily make it for you. I am crazy for the Speed Racer and the Pulp Fiction. Their baja sauce is so good I want to bathe in it and they don't skimp on the more expensive ingredients like meat, avocados and cheese. That said, there are some downsides... This joint needs to take a page from the bread book written my Michael's Sourdough Sandwiches! More than once (especially lately) the bread has been stale. It's inadequate for the bulk of the sandwich which leads to disintegration near the halfway point of consumption. (Not that I'm complaining about a bulky sandwich.) Also, at least once I've been there and a couple of the high school kids working were so stoned they could barely function. That was a while back though and they seem to have weeded out those ones (no pun intended). It can get busy around lunch time so be prepared! They are open later too so if you're a late-lunch guy like me that's a plus. Overall a decent place, but there's better in Petaluma.

IM giving them a nice 2 stars only because I think I just ordered the wrong sandwich! I order a "HOT" Pastrami (Travis Pastrami) on dutch crunch. This thing looked like it had potential until I bit into the damn thing! WTF... they didnt toast the bread but everything else was hot. I usually dont complain to staff but I asked if it was normal to not toast the bread. Apperantly they only toast sliced bread and not buns or rolls!!! I tried making it better by scooping out 75% of the white in the bread but it didnt help. I love me some dutch crunch but this bread was all bad! Tasted like it was maybe 3/4 baked On the positive the staff was Uber nice. Service was fast (Sunday). Music was cool. Flavor overall was good but the bread was so freaking bad the good flavor cant make up for the bad bread! Get a toaster or convection oven! Those things were even around in the 80's and this is 2009! I think they get good reviews because there aint squat out here on Lakeville Highway!

This place is so good! My husband and I live nearby and frequent often. The sandwiches can be very filling so we like to split them. The Gaucho is by far our favorite! The people working here are very kind and quick to take your order and get it up to you. If I could eat this everyday I definitely would!

I really don't understand all the hype around Mr. Pickles. I've been there a few times, and it's always the same. Great, friendly staff, long waits, no where to sit....organized chaos. The decor is awful and tacky. The food is so so. I really dig their bread. Homemade and substantial. There are a wide variety of sauces and toppings, but when it comes to the meats they really dropped the ball. It doesn't taste fresh, which is maybe why they have to drown everything in cream cheese and their sauces. The place is completely overpriced. Two people with a sandwich, drink NO chips will be $16-18. NOT WORTH IT! They also close early, so don't plan on stopping here for a light dinner. The only thing saving this place from one star is the friendly staff. Save your money and check out a place like Michael's Sourdough.

Mr. Pickles Sandwich shop is great to grab a good sandwich in the shop, to take out or as we have discovered at Fit 'N' Furry have sandwiches delivered for our regular Team business meetings; they even have salads and other specialties if a fine sandwich does not appeal to your appetite. They are locally owned and operated and it shows from the moment you walk in. Give 'em a try you'll the food and service! Grant G.

Mr. Pickles is one of my favorite sandwich shops! I'm glad it's a chain because there's a few around the bay area, I've been to a few different locations, they've all made awesome sandwiches. Quick and friendly service, awesome menu selection, or you can always build your own.

Great sandwiches. One of the best Reubens I've had. Quick service, decent price, nice selection of drinks. The had quite a few people working behind the counter too, so they easily kept up with the rush of customers. They even went so far as to recommend or ask about other condiments that may go well with the sandwich.

My favorite sandwich shop in Petaluma. The Petaluma Panther is THE BEST(in my opinion). It's so random- who would've thought peppercinis, cream cheese, pastrami, and tomatoes would be so good together? That's one reason why I love this place, their sandwiches are different than the usuals. The Dutch Crunch bread is so good! It's soft all over except crunchy on top. mmmm... The people are really nice too. I love the owner (actually I don't know if it's the owner but I think it is.) He is super cool and friendly and on my bday he gave me a free lemonade=) yay!

YUM! The employees at Mr. Pickles have all been really helpful and friendly. They will recommend their most popular sandwiches, which really helps me when I'm eating somewhere for the first time. I had the Pulp Fiction on a dutch crunch. It was REALLY good! I went back for the same thing two days later, and left just as satisfied. My theory is: Don't be picky here. Get one of their specialty sandwiches with as much on it as you can, and definitely try the garlic sauce because it is amazing!!

I have been here quite a few times and had good sandwich's. Today we went for a light lunch and split a #13. All was good!

This was my first time at Mr. Pickle's after hearing alot of hype and I was moderately disappointed. I had a #4 Turkey Carmichael. What was good: Turkey Pickles Peppers Spread What was not so good (in my opinion): Dutch crunch bread was stale Lettuce was a bit wilted and smelled like McDonald's shredded lettuce They only sell soda in a can, I like to have a larger bottle (20z) with my Sandwich, especially if I have to force myself through the bread. All-in-all I will go back again, but I will be sure to order sliced bread or at least ask how fresh the bread is!

I always order the Pulp Fiction to go and it is amazing. Even ordered over the phone my sandwich is still hot and delicious. I also love the glass bottled soda, fun change from the normal drinks.

Pretty good. They make the bread so it's fresh-- but not the best, very mediocre (same type of "homemade" bread you get at Subway). The sandwich combos are nice and they have friendly staff. I like a big, juicy deli sammich (I like lot's of toppings) and this doesn't really make 5 stars but it's the best deli in Petaluma thus far. I hate the name and the decor-- but it's a sandwich shop so whatever, I can deal.

Mr. Pickles was the next place we stopped to help keep our strength up for our lonnnng run to Santa Cruz, and it was also the only place we stopped to have an actual meal. Everything else consumed by me in the 32 hours of fun were clif bars, clif shots, peanut butter, Gatorade & water. You can imagine how happy I was to actually be able to have a sandwich, even one from a place called Mr. Pickle's! I was pleasantly surprised at how tasty my sandy was. I ordered a BLA (A BLT, minus the T, add the A). They toasted my wheat bread, remembered that I asked for no mayo, but to add mustard and they didn't skimp on the avocado! My belly was super happy! I don't know about any of the other Mr. Pickle's franchises, but this one rocked!

i'm so impressed with the speed of service even when it's rush time. they snag your order at the counter and hand off, a sometimes detailed order, to a sandwich maker. boom! it's already done. okay, not that fast...it takes time and they make it with care. but it's delicious and hot and exactly where i want to be every thursday fir meatball sandwich day. the #1 is pretty darn great, too!

Service was really great but the sammich I had was just so-so. I went with a blt thinking how could anyone get a blt wrong but it just didn't taste right. It wasn't off or anything... just not what my mouth was craving just then. I think I would have loved this place a few years ago but I've been to a lot of great sammich (I spell it that way on purpose... don't know why) shops the past couple years and my standards have really gone up. My mom on the other hand absolutely loved her sammich and my sister thinks this is the best deli ever. So there ya go. I'm sure I'll be back in the next month or so and I'll give their blt another try.

I adore this place. I am partial to their cranberry/chicken sandwich (not sure of the name) and their Veggie sandwich is also very good. As far as atmosphere, it's your basic sandwich shop with seating inside and out- it looks over to the Starbucks drive-through from inside seating. I love their rolls, and their garlic sauce adds a special something to each sandwich. Everything I've ever had has been fresh with a nice crunch which is very important at a sandwich shop. I miss living in Petaluma and eating at this place bi-weekly.

Eh. If you and your friend were eating at Subway one day and thought, "Hm.. I should create my own sandwich shop with strange combinations of flavors!" then you could end up creating Mr. Pickles. Yes, the name is cheesy, and so is everything else; the restaurant is filled with memorabilia, almost to the point where you can't see over the counter. You know those women who end up on TV after keeping every piece of shit they ever bought their entire life only to end up dead in a pile of cat feces? This place kind of reminds me of that, but to a much lesser extent. I ordered a sandwich special called "The Darth Vader" which included, among other things, ham, turkey, bologna, roast beef, and both cheddar and swiss cheese. It was a monstrosity of a sandwich containing flavors that should never mix. I'll stick to quiznos. But I urge you to check out Mr. Pickles on your own.

Great sandwiches. They have the usual and then their special subs. Good sauces and stuff. If you're not into Nascar...then you might be annoyed by the 20 million Nascar pictures and associated paraphernalia adorning the walls. But the service and delicious sandwiches more than make up for that..for me. And they give you a lollipop, just like the dentist, with your sando. They also sell giant pickles...like huge....for $1.99. I have no idea how one person could eat so much pickle..I love me some pickles but I'd have to freeze this one and save the rest for later..or it could feed a few pickle hungry kids. This is getting weird. I'm going to end this by saying get yo pickle on.

This place is so good! I've been to a Mr. Pickle's before when I was younger... I can't believe I went so long without it. The shop is really cute with props and posters of local schools and sport teams that they support. I got the Pulp Friction... I never tried Cranberry spread before, that was interesting but surprisingly really good =). Definately will return =)!!!

Ok deli. Their deli meats are really not that good at all. They have great salads but their sando's are not very tasty. It also takes forever to order your sandwich and then paying for it is whole different story.

My wife and I stumbled upon Mr. Pickles while looking for a museum. We shared the special of the day and couldnt have been happier. Home baked bread, fresh ingredients, and the baja sauce combined to quickly turn it into a favorite spot of ours. We will definitely go back when near Petaluma.

Everytime I'm in Petaluma we stop here and pick up a sandwich. The staff is very nice...yes even the high school students. The sandwichs are great, bread is very fresh as they bake it in the shop daily. The shop has great decor.

they give out lollypops if you are a regular and phone in the order for delivery. I have never had a bad sandwich here, they are quite friendly and deliver fast...

Sooo much better then Quizno's and Subway. The only reason that it did not get the full 5 stars is because the shopping center that it is located in has lame parking, and the wait at lunch can suck..BTW, they will deliver to local offices if you order a few sandwiches.

Love this place! If you like chicken salad, try the Gone Golfin'. They also make a great BLT Club. Try it on a roll instead of three pieces of bread. Service is fast and the staff is always friendly. Don't see why that should be such a big deal, but go order a sandwich at Safeway and see what kind of attitude you get. Hello? If you hate making sandwiches, maybe go be a doctor or something. Anyway, if the Pickles People don't like making sandos, you sure can't tell. And Krysta, the wife of the husband/wife owners, remembers her customers and always seems like there is no place she would rather be than a running the register in a crowded noisy deli. Best sandwich on this end of town.

Mr. Pickles is just ok, a bit pricey, and it takes forever to get your order, staff is great but geez the wait stinks. I called in an order on a Friday at 4:30 to pick up at 5:00 or so, jut wanted a quick easy dinner, arrived at 5:00 or so and they had not even begun to make the sandwiches, place was empty except for one couple eating...why the heck would you call it in in the first place...huge duh!!! ....there are quite a few other places that are as good if not better. Javamore Cafe in Penngrove is fabulous, great prices, service etc. they have a roast beef sando with brie and homemade tomato jam that is wonderful. Sandwiches in Petaluma Market are great and lot more variety than just sandwiches, Lucchessi's on No McDowell is good too but again a bit pricey for a deli sandwich....same with Lombardi's on Pet. Blvd. good food, but pricey, long wait etc. I mean come on, if your a native Petaluman you'll understand that spending $11.00 per pound for Pedroni's potato salad is outrageous!!!! It's good but not at that price.. Ahh I do miss the good ol (read cheaper) days....sometimes I can't help but think what I can buy with that $9.00-$10.00 I just spent on a deli sandwich...an entire bag of fresh sourdough rolls, 1/2 lb of turkey. 1/4 lb cheese......hmmmm, must be lunch time!

This little Bay Area franchise is awesome. It all started in San Mateo I think, however I could be wrong. The Petaluma shop is the newest location and is owned by a local family. Mr. Pickles makes the best Sandwiches ever, hands down. Fresh bread, great meat, sharp cheeses, and this great garlic special sauce that makes me salivate just thinking about it. In the P-town shop I'll have the #8 please, the Pulp Fiction AKA: #25 Bonds Bomber at the Antioch Loc. If your in P-town give this place a shot.
