So happy that this is just around the corner from where I live! Tried their regular iced donut with sprinkles- DELICIOUS..moist and super flavorful. Cinnamon crumb donut-Also amazing. Apple fritter-HUGE..that perfect crunch to it, great taste..loved it! The first time I went, they ran out :/ ..so I made sure to go early ON National Donut Day to snag me one. So worth it. Iced donut with peanuts- Not a favorite, but still enjoyable. :D Friendly staff, cheap yet delicious donuts..win win..win

Yes, the apple fritter is good. Real good, but not the best. The rest of the donuts are what you will find in any donut shops, none looked enticing enough, so i just went with the fritter. Prices well for the size at $1.30 it was huge, fresh, crunchy and filled with real apple chunks, nice. Service was very nice, there is a bit of inside seating and they serve coffee as well, worth the stop when in the area.

I came here and got the old-fashioned donuts and the plain donut. Because I love the plain donut, I can really tell if the donut is fried well or not. I've been to places where the donut just tastes like oil, but not here! The donuts were fried perfectly! I thoroughly enjoy both of my donuts and I will DEFINITELY be back!

Donuts in open-back cases, no slide doors, no refrigeration, and no air conditioning in the shop means those donuts have been sitting out all day in 90 degree heat, and they look it. There were less than a half shelf of donuts out of two large cases. The place looked grungy and when I went there at night they had so few lights on that I thought they were closed until I saw the counter lady inside. I looked for a letter grade in the window as I left and there wasn't one, making me think they get crappy grades and pull them down so no one will see. Also, although it's not their fault, beware of their thug and junkie filled dark, secluded parking lot after nightfall. Park on the street if you really need a donut from this place.

The donuts weren't bad, but they aren't anything special. Pretty much the same as any decent, mom and pop donut shop across SoCal.

    Above average- not amazing.

Went in to buy some donuts for a night hike. Because obviously. I couldn't understand anything the lady was saying, because of language and all that. "What's this third one over here?" "That is a blabberwobberjabbernabberfabber." "Oh? Okay, sure, that sounds great. I'll take it." What I DID understand was the lady explaining that I should be careful because somebody got shot while crossing the street weeks ago. This was in response to me telling her that I need my donuts double-bagged because I'm going to go hiking with them. I'm not sure how her advice was relevant, but I guess she deserves stars for looking out for me. I certainly reek of thug life, so I can see why she'd think I'd get shot. Haters be trying to catch me slippin' even on a mountain, ya heard? Everything I got was good. At least according to the lady, who ate them all. I wouldn't eat donuts, bro. Come on now; my body is a temple.

I wanted to make an order for 10 dozen donuts for my work for National donut day. The lady behind the counter acted like I asked for the $ from the register! She said she couldn't do it. I'm glad. The selection was tiny and they didn't look fresh. I'll be driving to Glendora. Donut man is the bomb.

  • Lamb S.

Don't believe the hype -cash only -don't accept large bills -poor selection (there were only 5 different types of donuts.... -donuts looked old

  • Grant H.

The donuts are AMAZING good service the ham n cheese crossonts tasted strange I hope I don't get sick

  • Samantha R.

Came here today. Great donuts. Only complaint is that we ordered a raspberry filled and got a lemon filled... Ugh! Not the same. My boyfriend loves the raspberry filled and that's why we went. Grrrrr to the last behind the counter. I will likely go back but hoping to leave with the raspberry filled!

  • Matt H.

Delicious donuts they were hot and fresh and quite yummy and believe me I'm picky about my Apple Fritters and Maple Bars theirs were perfect I'd definitely go back if I lived in the area!

This week was Caltech's first week of instruction and our division administrator had suggested that I buy some donuts so our staff could enjoy. Being that myself, and I think everyone one our geology department was sick and tired of eating lousy donuts from Winchell's, I opted to go to Gladstone Donut House. I bought 1 1/2 dozen donuts for the grand total of $10.25! So what did I buy? Twist, Plain, Buttermilk, Crumb, Chocolate, Glazed, Granulated Sugar and there was one that I had to have all to myself. It was the last one they had left. What was it? A blueberry glazed. This donut was beyond great. My first bit was met with the sweet blueberry flavor of the glaze, then the crispness of the outer part and then the donuts fluffy inside. With my eyes crossed I was taken to a place of shear donut blueberry bliss. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The lady that rang up my order asked if I wanted napkins. I said yes and she gladly packed them inside that beautiful pink donut box. One knows good donuts are inside when you see a pink box. $6.50 mixed dozen donuts! Crazy good for the prices! The madly insane quality of their donuts will send ones tastebuds into a flavor experience that can only be described a orgazmic. So will I return? You bet I will!

Location, Location, Location have you ever heard those words? Gladstone Donut House is located right on the South East corner of Lake and Washington in the North part of Pasadena.... but if you're headed North on Lake you might just drive on by and never notice this Gem, I know I did countless times and I usually notice everything. It was only one day headed South back down Lake when I noticed yelp.com/biz_photos/glad… they really need a sign on the Lake side of the building.... Pretty good size Donut shop so I really expected a better selection, Nope you're limited to the basics BUT they do them extremely well... Bear Claw - yelp.com/biz_photos/glad… This might look like your average donut, but your first bite will tell you it's not, pillowy soft dough, nice cinnamon crumble on top and just look inside those claws yelp.com/biz_photos/glad… they give you plenty of that apple/cinnamon mixture. Average selection BUT above average in taste!

Family owned donut shop, have known them since they were right next to food 4 less, such sweet people and their donuts are always so fresh! So yummy and amazing! Parking in the back :)

    (5)
  • Stephen F.

They refuse to carry sausage or bacon. So you can only get either, cheese or ham kolaches. And a majority of their specialty donuts (peanuts/cherry/coconut) are only cake donuts. So you cannot get regular coconut or strawberry topped donuts, only cake. Its strange that they have such a stifled selection yet such high reviews. People mostly like that its a bigger donut shop with some history.

  • Lisa Y.

I needed to pick up three dozen donuts for work and stumbled upon Gladstone Donut House on Yelp. I was here around seven in the morning and I only saw a handful of glazed donuts in the display case. I asked the woman behind the counter if they had anymore, but she only had 18 total. I had her box those up and fill in the rest with cake donuts. I also had her pack a bear claw and of course an apple fritter since all the Yelpers raved about it. The bear claw tasted like a crumb donut with apples inside. The apple fritter didn't disappoint! It was perfectly fried; the dough was moist and not too doughy or dry like other competitors. GDH gets their morning customers in and out efficiently and it seems to be a popular joint as they had a steady flow of foot traffic. GDH is located on the southeastern corner of Lake and Washington. They have a small lot in the back off of Washington and street parking out front.

OK, SO.. I've been to this place twice to get donuts for my office. The first time it was fine, the lady was whatever about the amount that we were buying (4 dozen) and was friendly enough for me to come out of there with a smile on my face still with boxes of donuts in my hands.. HOWEVER, what I experienced today was so mind boggling to me. I went in with a coworker to order 6 dozen donuts for the office since it's Friday and end of the month and all.. and the lady was giving us so much attitude. I lost count of how many times she sighed after she heard how much we wanted to order. She asked if we can let the guy behind us go first since he's a regular and he only wants a couple of donuts, we were completely fine and happy to let him through. We even let another lady and another guy go before us as well since we knew ours would take a bit of time to put together. We were as patient as can be for regular mixes, not like we were picking out one donuts at a time. When she was on her last 2 dozen I asked her if I could mix in some donut holes and she straight up said NO to me.. and I asked her I can't do that in place of the donuts that I'm getting? She finally said okay and so I replaced half a dozen donuts with donut holes.. but then she only gave us SIX donuts holes.. and I asked her so one donut hole is equals to one regular sized donut?? Blew my mind. Managed to change half a dozen donuts for two dozen donut holes at the end. But wow.. I definitely left unhappy and totally ruined my morning.. there I was trying to do a nice thing for my coworkers and surprise them with donuts on a Friday going in all happy with that thought in my mind only to let it get ripped out of me and come out all pissed off. UGH. The donuts are good.. but not good enough for me to deal with this ish

I don't always like my coworkers, but they seem to work faster and are more kind when I bring them donuts. I love donuts. Especially the buttermilk donuts with chocolate. I usually come here on mornings when I need a sugary surge and I know the commute will suck. Life doesn't suck when you can chow down on a Gladstone. Yummy! Xx

  • Danny N.

An apple fritter on steroids! But definitely one of the best apple fritter I've ever had, this compares to the one I had at Bob's donuts at Farmers Market, if not even better. Lots of street parking and parking in the back.

    (5)
  • Jeanette Y.

Great donuts here! I like the apple fritters, regular glazed and maple bar! :D Old Asian lady is always super friendly too. I think they are cash only...

    (4)
  • Matt T.

The donuts are good. The staff is somewhat friendly.......but the location is horrible. I really dont like being harassed by multiple homeless people for money on my way in and out of the store.

  • Michael O.

GREAT mom n' pop business. Cheap, good, and almost always open! I actually use them for do-it-yourself CATERING. They will make big boxes of yummy ham n cheese and turkey n cheese croissants, cut them in half and put toothpicks in them. You can feed a TON of people a great snack or lunch very inexpensively. Just order a day or two in advance. FAB!

  • LeLinda B.

Great apple fritters, jelly triangles, maple bars, and glazed donuts even at 8pm. Good prices for their donuts. Cash only. Friendly service. Shared parking with a bodega at the back of the donut house. Next time we go back, have to try out the cinnamon crumble .... .

Life Changing Donuts. If you are going to eat fattening crap, you have to eat these.

  • Lolia S.

Gladstone is one of those old school, no frills doughnut places, the ones with those benches where you slide on in with your donut and a cup of coffee. The regular donuts are 65 cents each. There were plenty of donuts on display to choose from. They had donut holes, cake donuts (with sprinkles, nuts, coconut, powdered sugar, crumb) bars, fritters, twists, buttermilk donuts, jelly donuts, croissants, muffins and cookies. It might be Mexican owned judging from the customers and employees. * Cinnamon crumb cake donut ($0.65): light, soft, moist plain cake with a light thin glaze light and soft crumbs, a light amount of cinnamon The shop didn't smell like donuts. Cash only. ATM on site.

  • Natalie K.

The donuts here are average to me but they earned themselves 4 stars for the amazing apple fritter. I would just come here for the apple fritter and skip the rest. It's perfectly sweet yet it has a little tartness from the apples. There are plenty of apple chunks in there too. The outside is crispy and sweet. It's just perfect. Their regular donuts are big but the texture is closer to bread than donut. The dough is also not sweet at all. I actually think it has a hint of saltiness, which kind of throws off the overall taste. I also didn't enjoy my raspberry filled donut because there were too many large chunks of seed in the filling. It was a little bit hard to eat. The parking is in the back. They take cash only.

    (4)
  • Karen L.

Absolutely one of the best doughnuts I have ever had. Maple bars are amazing! Every time we go to Pasadena I make my husband stop at Gladstone for a maple bar or a buttermilk doughnut. We were last there a month ago, so we are due for a trip any day!

Sunday morning I decided to hold off on breakfast till after my run. I started running in one direction and would get breakfast wherever I ended up at the end of the run. Well my run put me within the vicinity of Gladstone Donut House which sounded perfect. My journey to Gladstone was not easy, as I was hit by a car while trying to cross a street, but I still pushed forward. My reward at the end of my tiring journey was a delicious apple fritter. Perfect bites of crispy outside, with a light fluffy inside. It was not overly sweet or dense either, which some apple fritters can be. Just perfect. I was happy to have cash on me too, because despite Yelp saying this place takes cards, it does not. I would gladly get hit by a car again to get these doughnuts. Mmmm.

    (4)
  • Margaret L.

MmmMmmMmm Best donut I have had in a long time (I used to be an avid fan of Yum Yum's, but not any more). The donuts here are wonderful. I have only had the glazed old fashion donut, but it was perfect (especially if you like cake donuts). You also can't beat their prices. Get here early (5:00am early if you want). We visited them at night and they were practically out of donuts.

    (5)
  • Angie C.

Donuts that are melt in your mouth delicate, delicious and fluffy. Like eating a sweet cloud with glaze. Best donut I've ever had.

This whole time I have been cheated out of donut delight that is Gladstone Donut. I've been so geographically close but mentally so far away. I was stuck on wack ass Winchells until Yelp showed me the light. This place is right down the street from me and although they only take cash the prize at the end of the hassle is worth the ATM visit. 1. The crumb cinnamon roll was the first thing i tried here. I was looking for the much acclaimed apple fritter but settled the roll instead. The crumb is a fabulous addition to the already tasty cinnamon roll. It provides a layer of texture that delightful and playful at the same time. Just try it! And the center of the roll!! OMG so soft so gooey soooo cinnaminny! Its perfection! 2. The apple fritta. Yes theres a reason this is constantly sold out. Its yummy. Crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside with crispy apple chunks placed throughout the fritta! Ymmmmm its making me hungry as i type. Minus one star for the microwave heat up situation that got going!

  • Marc K.

I'm a big maple bar fan and I enjoyed the maple bar I got from them. Also tried a cake donut with strawberry frosting and it was good. They're cash only and and a few cents more per donut than Pronto just down Washington, but this place seemed to have a lot more selection. I come from the Northwest, home of Voodoo and Top Pot. This place is not in that league, but when you want a donut, don't hesitate to try one here.

    (4)
  • Sharon H.

This looks like a normal donut house. I chose a honey wheat donut w a basic sugar glaze and it was really yummy. I've never seen these before. It was $0.65, and maybe I'll be back to treat myself once in awhile.

    (4)
  • Wendy R.

The apple fritter and buttermilk donuts are the best I've had in these categories. The apple fritter had a nicely textured and somewhat crunchy exterior with a very moist center with plenty of small, cubed apples. The buttermilk was very dense and moist. The maple bar and cinnamon roll were pretty average.

    (4)
  • Cris G.

Utterly worthless place. It just baffles me how they are rated 4.5 stars. An HOUR AND A HALF before closing, they had only two measly trays out with a mediocre selection of rather plain looking donuts. If you're going to go fifty percent on your job that long before closing, then close at 9, not 11. Then, after making my anticlimactic selection, I see their 'cash ONLY' sign. How cheap. It is almost 2015! What a disgrace and a waste of time and gas. Go to Winchell's from now on if you don't want to risk disappointment.

    (1)
  • Debra L.

Really clean and organized. Very nice friendly staff.. Best Buttermilk donut I've eaten by far..wasn't heavy, dry or doughy...I would definitely come back again

  • Paul W.

This is the only decent place for doughnuts I have found, West of Glendora and East of Inglewood. I have an addiction to the blueberry donuts, the apple fritters, the sprinkled cakes. Only 60 to 80 cents a piece, these doughnuts are crispy with solid frosting and just the right level of oil. The doughnuts don't make you feel like your teeth are coated in grit after a full bite. I take my time with each donut, eating every crumb of the whole damn crispy, gorgeous trophy. And this is coming from a guy who eats donuts like cookie monster eats cookies: I ram em into my face until they disintegrate around the sides of my mouth. Not with Gladstones, no--I treat em like I'm on a date.

    (5)
  • Jim H.

Pasadena doughnuts--this is it. Try the buttermilk doughnuts and feel free to pay a little extra from the apple fritter.

  • Mario C.

Found this place via Yelp, so thought I'd give back by writing my own review. This place is great, one of the best doughnut places in the city. The women there are helpful and always cheery, even at 8am on a Sunday morning! The thing that makes a good doughnut, for me at least, is one that does not reek of oil or taste heavy. Also, they should be fresh, at least in the morning. This is why this place rocks. Little piece of advice, go early on the weekends or you might end up like me, without your favorite doughnut! Oh yeah, if you like apple fritters, then by all means get one here! They are huge and delicious!!! Next time I go by there I'll take some photos and post them up.

    (5)
  • Diana L.

Finally got my donut fix by ordering my OG sugga donut twist. It was light, fluffy, yet had a lil crunch to it. MMMmmmMm. All the other donuts looked so good too! Hope heaven serves guilt-free unlimited donuts from Gladstone Donut House...

  • E M.

In my experience, this is the best donut house in the Pasadena area. The apple fritters are very delicious.

    (5)
  • Mary Alice S.

Alright, I'm already slobbering all over my keyboard just thinking about it. I've been following my fellow yelpers so, it was the Apple Fritter. Just jump up and down WOW! I want to bottle the aroma of the whole shop and wear it like perfume. The bismark custard was also fantastic, which is not easy to do from what I've been told. Bravo!

    (5)
  • Evie D.

Croissants are light and deliciously buttery.

  • Stephen H.

My wife found this place and came home with a small sampling that included an Apple Fritter. Over the years I have become an afficianado of Apple Fritters and this place produces the best I have had by far.

    (4)
  • Christine H.

You know sometimes when you bite into a donut you can taste the starchy-gross taste after each bite? Well NOT at this place! Finally a donut place that has some pretty decent treats. I tried a few different kinds. Big store for only one counter of donuts but I guess he just doesn't have anything else to sell but donuts. Maybe some donut memorabilia? lol

    (4)
  • Eric L.

We read the Yelp reviews on this place so we decided to go there for dessert after having dinner in Pasadena. The donuts were good! Well I personally only had the apply fritter but it was really huge and glazed and had just the right amount of apples in it. My friends tried the buttermilk donuts and some huge triangle thing and they liked them both. I will definitely come back here again when I'm in the area. They're open until 11:00 PM at night and have a lot of parking in the back.

  • jon i.

Update: On my second visit, I had and enjoyed parts of a cinnamon roll, bear claw and apple fritter. All were crisp on the outside but soft on the inside with just the right amount of glaze. Definite winners, all. Another plus for this place is that IF, somehow, a donut survives at my house until the next day, it's still better than a day-old donut from any other place. Chemicals? Good karma? I don't have an explanation but it's definitely true (and a good reason to get an extra one or two whenever I drop by).

    (5)
  • Mary R.

SOLD OUT of donuts 2 hours before closing! They had one jelly triangle and a few chocolate sprinkles when we got there. B+ for the jelly triangle, the shape made it so that bites were either all jelly or all donut. But the donut and jelly were good quality. B for the chocolate sprinkle, had a coconut taste and a chemical aftertaste but was moist and fluffy. I'll update when we actually get to try the donuts but really DISAPPOINTED that they were sold out so early and weren't even attempting to make more.

    (2)
  • Heejin L.

their bear claw is pretty yum when heated.

    (4)
  • Denny T.

These donuts are good. I didn't get to try the famous apple fritters (they ran out) but the donuts I did try were good nonetheless. They also have friendly owners and great service.

    (5)
  • Downtownbaby T.

Thank you Gladstones, for the 5 lbs I gained over the weekend...I'm cursing under my breath. It's a mom and pop humble donut shop with a wonderfully cheery owner--5 stars for this Pacific Islander Santa alone! Hint: get D. all of the above However, if you exhibit more self-control than I and choose to be selective, you can't go wrong with: maple bars, apple fritters, and buttermilk donuts.

    (5)
  • Karen E.

I LOVE their donuts!! The Asian guy who works here is also super nice. The donuts are savory and not overly greasy. And the bread is soft too and it has a nice flavor to it (maybe extra butter)? Plus it's cheaper than the other donut shops around. Please stop by and support this great little donut shop

  • Kevin C.

Andy is one of the nicest business owners I've met in the area. I came in for a donut just to check out the local spot and Andy chatted us up for nearly a half hour about so many topics. His possitive outlook on life and business was really inspiring to me. I know I know that's all nice but the donuts were excellent too. Apple fritter was so perfectly cooked, jalapeno ham and cheese croissant spicy and awesome, maple donut moist, sweet and delicious. I sure love donuts, I can't eat them often but when I do this is a perfect place and it is right up the street from my house.

    (5)
  • Elton W.

I read the Yelp reviews for this place and thought, how good can an apple fritter be, really? Answer: Really good! Tastes like home made. The other donuts are just sort of regular, normal donuts -- I got a cream filled and it was quite average. But, the apple fritter is huge, and cheap. Highly recommended.

    (4)
  • Marina S.

Thank you for making incomparably delicious donuts! They're fresh daily - and they taste SO GOOD in the mornings! My favorite breakfast choice is the jalapeno cheese croissant. They warm it up for 30 seconds and its melted ooey deliciousness. The donuts are really very good. The hype is for a reason. Other than Krispy Kreme, I would only choose to get donuts from here.

    (5)
  • Mary Anne D.

OMG their buttermilk donuts are soooooooooooooo gooooooooooddddd!! I can't emphasize that enough!! Be aware cash only. Good prices, only $6 for a dozen. I will be back very soon.

  • Jonathan C.

What's not to love about a neighborhood donut shop that's run by a nice asian lady? Had the immense apple fritter which was full of apple chunks and nice and glazed. My pops instilled a love for apple fritters when i was just a wee munchkin drooling over head sized donut, and not much has changed today. The store owner was super nice and parking is in back. Go ahead, get your fritter on, and thank me later.

We found this place in the most unlikely of places. It's on the corner of Lake and Washington. We got there around 9:30 and they were still making fresh donuts. We ordered an apple fritter, maple bar, cinnamon roll, chocolate, old fashioned and a sprinkle. The apple fritter was delicious. One of the better fritters I have had. It had lots of apples, and was slightly crunchy around the edges. Yum. The other were good too. The sprinkle had a lemon flavor. The staff was friendly and there was parking in the back. The donuts here were good but not as good as my favorite donut place of all time - Donut Plant in NYC.

  • Chrissy Z.

YUMMMMMMY APPLE FRITTER AND YUUUUUUUUMYYY DOUGHNUTS I LOVEEEEEEEEEEE THE CHOCOLATE HERE!!!! ITS SOMETHING TO FREAK OUT ABOUT! You have to come here once and just feast on the yummys here. Dear god help me.

  • HJ U.

These doughnuts are magical. How often do you see a huge apple fritter or a bear claw and think - "Hmmph. That's one big doughnut, but it's not going to be nearly as tasty as it looks." It seems like doughnut quality is usually in inverse proportion to doughnut size. This is not the case at Gladstone. My heart sank when I caught a glimpse of those big glazed babies, because I had read the Yelp reviews, and I was ready to chow down. I got one anyway. Okay, I got one of each. And they were fantastic. Crispy in just the right places, and also soft and almost custardy in others. And the special crumble option on the exterior looks like a shitty supermarket gimmick, but it's so good. The chocolate doughnut tastes like I always hope chocolate doughnuts will, but they rarely do. And the buttermilk...this is sorcery. It tastes like a biscuit - but it's a doughnut. Read that again. It's for real. How do they do it? Who knew this would be an incredible intersection of deliciousness? Gladstone. Magic.

Okay, I bought more donuts. This place is officially like crack.

  • Cat T.

the apple fritter has surpassed the buttermilk as being my number one FAVORITE thing here... and i don't even like fruit in my pastries/doughnuts.

    (5)
  • Michelle Y.

i've had apple fritters before and none like this. this thing is the size of your face and you'll definitely crash if you decide it'd be a good idea to eat the whole thing...like i did. it's glazed and absolutely delicious with bits of apples only 1.25 too! you'll find parking next to the donut place on washington.

    (5)
  • Dave C.

Ahhh yes, the chocolate eclair aka the chocolate long john donut. Yeah baby, I'm hooked.

    (4)
  • Cristan D.

Home of the best apple fritter I've had to date. It's not super greasy with oil or under cooked or lacking in flavor. It's like having an apple pie donut.;-) I also love the buttermilk donuts, especially the chocolate covered ones. The rest of the donuts are great too, but splurge & get the bigger items if you can. They're delicious!

Very average doughnut shop. Nothing unique here.

  • Trixie B.

The address is incorrect. Perhaps they have moved. It is at 1332 N. Lake Ave. at the southeast corner of Washington and Lake. Very clean and friendly. Apple fritters and chocolate buttermilk bars!

Was just reading The Man Who Cycled the World, by Mark Beaumont, a Scot, laughing at his description of a strange (to him) pastry called "Bear Claw" while he was riding across Texas - and so I looked it up on Yelp. Ding! Gladstone's in Pasadena. I feel so dumb - its half a mile from my house - and my wife and I just had the best Bear Claw (apple-filled) and chocolate-covered twist we have ever had. Clean, bright, fresh, and with cheerful service - just like the perfect donut shop should be. Highly recommended. Pull into the parking lot in back just east of Lake on Washington Blvd. Open 5 AM to 11 PM.

This place is about 4 blocks from home, which makes it the most convenient donut house I've ever known. The donuts always taste fresh and delicious. Never undercooked like the big W, and never burnt like so many others. I know donuts aren't the most healthy food out there, but when I have a craving for a cinnamon roll, I need to give in sometimes. Their variety is what you would expect as far as donuts, but they also have some filled sandwich things (can't remember the exact name) that are breakfast and lunch type foods. They have the classic hot coffee and hot chocolate, as well as a couple refrigerators with a rather impressive assortment of ice cold beverages.

you can imagine Homer Simpson coming here for his donut fix! great local donuts, parking is around the back. coffee is good but it ain't no Starbucks, would be nice if they charged a little more for coffee and got Peets or something. but you want donuts!! Apple Fritters are great, great big, and full of apples (oddly enough). Others are also good including buttermilk and jelly filled. price is good, staff is nice, what more do you want? oh yeah DONUTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was recently traveling thru Pasadena on a business trip and searched out Gladstone's based on the reviews I read on Yelp. Let me tell you...these are the BEST donuts I have had to date! If you are ever in LA, you MUST find this place and eat one of their amazing apple fritters and glazed buttermilk donuts! Only one problem...I can't get them here in Nashville, TN. :(

I love this place. Completely unassuming both inside and out, the baked goods (made fresh on the premises) are very good indeed. The regular sugar doughnuts are as light as air with none of that nausea inducing greasiness. I personally love the ham and cheese croissant, the buttermilk doughnuts, and the apple fritters the size of saucepan lids. A dozen doughnut holes for a dollar. What's not to love?

deez donuts are pretty darn good. donut man in glendora for was my overall favorite before. gladstone gives it a run for the money. donut man pieces are bigger and more dense, but the taste and structure of the donuts at gladstone is quality. 6 for $3.50. that's a freakin bargain! bear claws and cinnamon buns are not included, so i will have to try again next time. they dont look special, but when you take a bite, you know its been made by someone who knows donuts.

Fab-u-lous. Gladstone's buttermilk donut is, relative to the vast blah wasteland of generic donuts, as much of a revelation as Krispy Kremes were when they were all the rage. It's a delicious buttermilk biscuit combined with a perfectly fried and glazed donut. There is nothing else like it on earth. Open 5am-11pm every day, so there is no excuse. Get some donuts now!

I am not a doughnut expert. I am happy with a grocery store doughnut. However, Gladstone's doughnuts totally beat out paltry grocery store doughnuts any day. They are like biting into little sugar coated clouds. Because of the reviews I got my fav, the chocolate bar, a glazed twist, a sugar, a bear claw and an apple fritter. The glazed was melt-in-your mouth delicious. The bear claw just oozed apple-y goodness. The apple fritter was sweet and crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. Both the sugar and the chocolate bar was light and fluffy. The only doughnut that didn't just knock me over was the chocolate bar, as it wasn't as chocolate-y as I like. However, altogether, A+. And btw I didn't down 5 whole donuts, I had bits and pieces. But you have to try everything!

they have different types of bear claws! the crumb, AND the glazed. i luvs me my apple filled bear claws and they are the desired alternative when i'm not in a chocolatey mood. did i mention they have 2 different kinds of bear claws for me to stuff my face with? their apple fritters also call for some much deserved attention, too. i was greeted by a nice asian woman. she even kinda chuckled at me when i started leering at all the different selections of donuts behind their glass casing. i think some drool even came out of my mouth during my perusal... behold - the ultimate donut destination in the pasadena area, right here. stop depriving yourself. do your taste buds and coworkers a favor and come here NOW. .
