I've eaten at Chipotle's across the country and this one has to be my least favorite. The service is slow, as they often run out of items, backing up the already long lines in their small location. They need to manage their food production better. The meats are often over cooked and the chips are often under cooked, leaving them gummy tasting. Could be better!

Absolutely the worst Chipotle ever. the portions were small and the service was awful.we waited at least 20 minutes for guacamole. next time I would rather go to the one on Lake. even though I live across the street from this location. this place seems to be run by teenagers who have no idea what they're doing.

$3 FOR A SPOON OF GUACAMOLE... So I've been hearing a lot about this restaurant Chipotle Mexican Grill and thought I'd try it. I took two friends with me. When we got there everything seemed fine. There was a nice line but not too long. There were about five employees behind the counter helping people so things moved relatively quickly. We decided to each get something different so we could sample the array of food. The set up reminded me a lot of Subway where you can choose what goes into your burrito and when the girl asked me if I wanted "Everything" in my burrito, I said "Sure, why not." That's where Chipotle goes wrong. When i got to the cash register, the lunch seemed a lot, and I mean a lot more expensive. There was a long line so I didn't want to argue right there. I paid and was going to just look at the receipt. When I looked at the receipt, I noticed they charged me $3 for guacamole and I don't mean $3 total. I mean $3 per burrito for a little table spoon of guacamole. We ordered three burritos, so that's $3 x 3 + tax = $10 more to pay for lunch. In all fairness, I went back and looked at the menu behind them and it does say $2.95 for guacamole, but most Mexican restaurants just give you chips and guacamole on the side. Also, if you go to Panda Express, they only charge $1 extra for shrimp and they put a sign right there next to the dish, but at Chipotle, they will charge $3 extra for a spoon of guacamole and they don't have a sign and they won't tell you. The food was good and the service wasn't bad either, but the $3 guacamole per burrito is a total trap. The reason why I'm here is to inform the public of deceptive business practices. This certainly falls into that category. That's why I can't see myself going back to Chipotle Mexican Grill.

So I had one of those really long annoying and stressful days at school today. Not having a thing to eat all day I got to chipotle at around 9pm thinking it was going to be fast and empty turns out, it was poppin. Long story short Food was FRESH, Line was long but WORTH IT.... oh and did I mention I was short 2$ so they game my entire order for free? I only ordered for one and it was sooooo sweet of them to do that Thank you Chipotle, keep up the great service xx BEST PLACE EVER!!!!!

Chipotle makes me think of undergrad and fulfilling that hunger with a burrito that has that tastefully addictive rice plus either steak or carnitas with it. This is a busy Chipotle on Foothill among all the other food choices in the area but the service is good despite how hectic lunch hour can get. I got a quesadilla with steak and it was good and plentiful. Good gooey white cheese and tasty cuts of steak. It could be just about a meal in itself. I got mine with simply those 2 ingredients but I've seen folks add some other sides. I'm a purist when it comes to quesadillas & I'm glad Chipotle can oblige. Now I'm not sure if the quesadilla option was available back in my college days but I wish I knew about it. Good stuff... No need to tell you about the burritos. Everyone already knows them cause they've had them. Standard stuff.

This Chipotle by far is the worst one I've been to. I was there this afternoon and the gal behind the food counter had her hands all over everything. She would touch the tortilla, then wipe her gloved hands on her dirty apron, then pick up the empty rice countainer took it to the back and who knows what else she touched back there to come back and wrap my burrito because the other girl didn't seem to know how to wrap a burrito tight enough so the food doesn't fall out. The manager, Alex, was behind the counter helping and didn't seem to get the serving line in check. Awful place! Awful service! Won't be going back. P.S. my burrito fell apart and I just threw it away! Those kids need to be trained better!!! Just sayin!

The wait here is out of this world! On a Saturday, we waited inline for 45 minutes! The food is always the same no matter where you go, but this location is super busy so if you come, expect a really long wait. I go to the Rosemead location instead and it's much better.

I hate to say it but this Chipotle location does indeed have problems. I have no problem with them having a long line since the food is that good, but the design of this building really makes it a poor location. The line goes down a long hall way feel to the place. You're standing in line but people trying to get by will bump into you after they get their food. Super cramped. Was not planned out well. In terms of the service, their training needs a makeover. I ordered a simple quesadilla and was at the end paying for my food. They had 3 burritos done after me but for whatever reason they couldn't figure out the quesadilla and I was still waiting for it even though I had already paid for it. I don't know what the problem is. If you're looking to dine at Chipotle and have two locations to choose from, I'd pass on this one.

I really like eating there and their food but recently, is just not the same as when they open here it goes; 1.-The quantity of the food has gotten smaller, you have to ask for them to give a fair portion specially on the meat department 2.- Their Ice T container is always empty, such as last night. We wanted Ice T and it enough for 2 glasses I told a worked there that they need it Ice T, 15 minutes later I ask for it and they told me in 5 minutes would be ready, I came back in to get Ice T and was told 15 minutes, we finally left after 45 minutes being there and still no Ice T. 3.- The place was filthy, is a good thing that it was nice enough to eat outside. Management things you need to work on, don't be so stingy on the portions, clean the place and provided beverage to your customer or train your people to make Ice T in a timely manner

The food was cold because the employees were more worried about an online order ( it is like it was their first online order...EVER!!) than serving the people in line. The employees seems disorganized and there was a communication breakdown. I had to repeat my order 3 times as the employee kept putting my plate aside/down to fill the request for the online order. Made me wish that I had placed an online order instead. He almost handed my order to the person in front of me. The cashier was rude, and seemed like she didn't want to be there. I hope they were just having an off night but I am not going to go back to find out. I will stick to the one on LAKE where the service is better and only go here if I am going to die of starvation.

There is nothing wrong with the food at this location, its the customer service that is the problem at this place! Not only do they need to get "managers" that know how to work with customers properly, they need to know how to lie better.... These people charged my credit card 5 times for one meal...... i found out three days later when i found out a crap load of money was missing from my account... long story short it took them a week and a half to refund my money back, including the worsssssst and i mean worst customer service... blaming it on their internet? i mean comon people... A free meal next time wouldn't hurt either? Overall, this location sucks.

I was in the area and decided to give this chipotle a try. This one is not as good as the one in Rosemead. There was lack of flavor and the lady serving the food was STINGY!! She wasn't even giving a full spoonful of anything. Especially the guacamole, which cost extra!!

  • Garrick L.

I'm ashamed at myself. I only recently discovered the gem that is Chipotle, and I've been in this plaza more times than I can count. Excuse me while I reprimand myself in the corner. On the other hand, the steak bowl here is great! A tasty mix of flavor, spice, and saltiness. I think this place is a bit over-hyped, but I give the management credit for being able to cycle through all the customers at a fairly quick rate. The rice, beans, and tortillas were nothing special, but the salad was delicious! Note to self: try the pork bowl next time.

This is the second time I've had a horrible experience at Chipotle in the last month! The first time was at the La Canada Flintridge restaurant and now at this one in Pasadena. The workers were really in a bad mood, making faces to customers when they were asking for something. Lot's of bad attitude and super grumpy! When we go to a restaurant we're not only experiencing the food, but also the service. And definitely this place has been the worst customer service I've ever had in a long time! I'm also sending a message to the head-office because it's not normal that two of their stores are having the same problem. Bad attitudes and horrible customer service!

We all know how good Chipotle is. Great food for a fast food price. Love the quality of the ingrediants. The chicken burrito is my favorite. Why only 3 stars? Had to deduct a full star because of the wait. They are understaffed at times and line can go out the door. Can take 20 minutes to make it through the line. They lack whole grain tortillas, queso sauce, salsa bar, and can get a little skimpy on the meat. Other than that it's great.

  • Jake M.

Of the many locations, I make a point to visit this one. Associates take responsibility for their product. My online order took longer than expected so they gave me a free burrito and a drink to make up for my 10 minute wait.

Goood food. Bad service. Whatever you do, dont ask for a steak quesadilla because he will completely forget about your order and skip you. That happened to me last Saturday. I was about to faint because I was so hungry already. Communication between the employees was poor as well. I asked for mild salsa on the side, but they ended up giving it to someone else. I love chipotle, but NOT THIS LOCATION. Pssh, where was the manager, that meal shouldve been free.

  • Thomas C.

The quality and service at this place has gone down. I recently ordered a steak burrito there. They barely put any meat in the burrito - I only saw some meat after eating 2/3 of the burrito. And even more, most of the steak was so chewy that I couldn't eat most of it. Perhaps I caught them on a bad day, but overall, the quality of the steak has gone down...

  • Tree T.

Usually very good - love the vegan options. Stopped getting the burritos because the tortilla was often cold. It's really hard to come here during peak times because of how crowded it gets - the waits can be really long. One thing I find very ironic about this place is how NOT green it is based on their advertising - they do too much packaging (I always ask for "here" so I get the minimum) and seem ready to toss entire orders in the garbage if there is the slightest issue. A company that advertises itself as socially conscious should have reusable to-go containers, have less packaging and a more green protocol.

Bitches forgot my fork. Had to go to McDonalds to get one since I was so far away. On the plus side, the chips weren't as stale tasting as other places. They were busy, so they didn't pay much attention to you. But it's cool, because they forgot to charge us for guacamole. I can dig the tradeoff. Saved myself virtually two dollars. Anyways, there are better Chipotles out there. It's not bad, but service and quality are better at other places.

Meh, this place is so-so. I'm not a fan of chain mexican food - I can see how this place isn't the most popular place in the world. Good on ya, McDonalds.

  • Eugene N.

Everyone who knows me, knows that I love Chipotle! If you guys (friends) are reading this, you're probably not surprised that I gave it 5 stars haha. Most Chipotles are the same, not all though, but most. I'm reviewing this one because it's my 'home' Chipotle. You should all know the name by now, if not, I can sum it up with this... it's like Subway but you make your own burrito, bowl, taco, or salad. Great place too!

There was a fly flying around and landed on the meat. When I told the woman working there where it landed she did not even replace the meat. Also when i pointed out where the fly was she could not find the fly and told me to put my hand behind the glass even though she couldn't see it. Flies land on feces and all other kinds of gross things.

The line is always long but I think it's because people like the food and the service. The employees are energetic, smiling, and professional and I reallllly value those qualities in food service. The restaurant is narrow and CRAMPED as all get out, with the line reaching back to where the soda fountain is, usually. It is not easy to maneuver. The food is kinda salty but it's otherwise a healthy choice for me, avoiding carbs. Sometimes I'll splurge and get a burrito bowl with BROWN rice. Btw, Chipotle, thank you for offering brown rice :) I think it's $1.60 to add guacamole to a bowl or salad. They give you a hefty glop of it, too. I use that as salad 'dressing' rather than actual salad dressing. I never *crave* Chipotle (my kids do) but I eat here often because I can get a healthy meal when I've run out of time to make dinner at home. Yep, that's it! And I've never had a bad experience at this location.

One of my fav joints when it comes to craving taco's and burritos. Good quality food for average price. One meal including a side of chips and drink will cost you about $10. Beware, if you are coming here during lunch time (12pm-2pm) there are long lines due to the it being next to a lot of business stores (best buy, ross, old navy etc.) Compared to other Chipotle locations, I find this one to have good service and glad that it is right next to my house. What's good: Steak Burrito, Carnitas Burrito, and the tacos which comes with 3 tacos per order. When I get the taco, they let me mix so I'm able to get 2 steak tacos and 1 carnitas taco. What's not so good: I ordered the chicken a couple of times, but tend to avoid it now because the way they cook it, feels very dry. Another thing, beware, if you get the taco, try to avoid getting the CORN tortilla due to the fact, once you grab it with your hands, it will break before you can stuff it in your mouth. Other than that, Chipotle is one amazing spot to go to if you want some decent price fast food and trying to avoid the normal Mc Donalds and Jack in the Box. After your first time, you will crave this place like every week ! Matter of fact, I want some right now ! Tomorrow, Chipotle it is !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    (4)
  • Michael A.

Foods okay for the price. I don't like the wait everytime I come. I sometimes switch to togos near by. I would like to see more meet. With the price you pay at least they can do that.

ZOMGG! GET IN MAH BELLAYYY!!! I LOVE, LOVE, LOVEEE Chipotle! It's so delicious, I always get the bowl though. With Chicken and salsa, with sour cream and other stuffz. Seriously, I love this place, I probably couldn't eat it every day but it's really good. It's also the closest one I have to where I live. The restaurant itself is a little small, however if you like to sit outside, there is some outdoor seating, but then people from like Ross & Best Buy stare at you. Nope, not comfortable at all. Also, I guess you could say that it is wheel chair accessible, but like I said, the place itself is a bit small and if people move chairs and stuff around it may be hard to get around. But chyeah! I definitely recommend this place!

Yum! I tried Chipotle for the first time at this location, and the only other location I've been to is the one in LA by the USC campus. I like this one better, though. High ceilings and white walls made it seem very clean and spacious. When I went to this location, it wasn't super packed and I got my food in about 5 minutes. I've heard of my friends going to Chipotle and I got curious and looked at the menu. I said, "Well this menu looks boring! What's all the hype about?" I was proved wrong, because their food is so good. I had a chicken burrito and oh lordy take me to heaven now. I crave it all the time! I didn't give this place a full 5 stars because their workers seemed very.... ehh. They looked a little miserable, to say the least. Also, since it was my first time here, I had to ask them to repeat certain things they asked if I wanted in my food, and they still talked fast. Made me standing there lookin like a fool.

I would like to start this off with the fact that I LOVE chipotle. BUT at THIS particular location?? I wouldn't mind never eating it again. They have the WORST customer service I have ever unfortunately encounter. Chipotle was made to be an assembly line sort of deal so I understand the fact that you shouldn't expect too much of a great customer service experience here but it should not justify how they treat their customers here... there have been other horrible service stories ... but this one in particular really irks my skin and compelled me to write a review... I specifically asked for NO sour cream so the server said "no sour cream?" and proceed to take a BIG scoop of sour cream and plop it onto my bowl .... i then said "no sour cream" ... so guess what she did? No she did not start over from scratch ... WITHOUT even peeping the word sorry or acknowledging the fact that she made a mistake took a plastic cup and scooped off the sour cream and threw it in the trash and just push my bowl onto the next person ... ARE YOU SERIOUS??? what if i was allergic to sour cream... WTF ... and she didnt even scoop it all off ... SERIOUSLY i was trying to muffle my horror!! This person should be FIRED and just the customer service at this place is horrendous ... i would never visit this particular location again ...

It's a standard Chipotle. It's kinda tucked away if you've never been before, but it's in a nice big lot with ample parking and you can even walk off your food coma if you so choose. I like to get in and out and eat elsewhere, but this is a nice Chipotle. I'm always impressed with the bathrooms are nice and clean, which they have been here for the few times I've gone.

  • Maria B.

Chipotle is absolutely delicious. The service here is alright. If you ask for extra cheese or rice they give you a weird look and add a smidge more as if it is their restaurant and they don't want to lose money. However, I always return to this location because it is in a great plaza and sometimes the service is tolerable. Anyway the food is GREAT.

    (4)
  • Francine L.

I want to say this place is great and the food is awesome. But I've been here many times and most of the time it is very inconsistent. Sometimes I get SO much rice and others times I get a little bit of rice. It is always about portions and I think they do a horrible job on that. They should try to fix this some how so everything is equal. The burritos are huge-and most of the time when yout ake a bite out of it, your taking a bite of cheese or a bite of meat. Soft Tacos- pretty good if you order it in corn. :)

  • Tiffany L.

I LOVE CHIPOTLE! I'd much rather spent $6 something for a burrito here than for a combo meal at Mcdonald's (or some other fast food chain). Since I'm allergic to tomatoes, I hate that most places stuff their burritos with salsa. When I'm done taking out the tomatoes or if I request no salsa, I get the weirdest looks and my burrito shrunk 50%! I usually get my bowl with a tortilla on the side. My favorite combination is - rice, pinto beans, veggies, chicken/steak, corn!, sour cream, cheese, and lettuce. YUM! The chips are also good to eat with your bowl - it gives it an extra crunch :)

Done with this place on plain ass principle, when my wife and son go here I decide to just stay home and make a grilled cheese but now I have my girl on my side.Went here last night to get my son a bean and cheese burrito with salsa on the side my boy likes to pour as he eats,so when my wife goes up to pay and get my son chips as well the girl charges it as chips and salsa and this always happened to me.My wife says no the salsa should not be charged because it's part the burrito,so this girl proceeds to say bean and cheese does not come with salsa WHAT it's a freakin burrito at a Mexican joint and then tried to argue, my wife wasn't having it I was proud that she stood her ground,I know it's 65 cent but hell no!!!!!!So finally the guy next to this employee says just give it to her.My wife was embarrassed and had to tell my son that's the last time we will be going to eat at a spot that charges for salsa on a bean and cheese.Sorry for the long story.

This is the only Chipotle I go to. Sometimes Burbank. If you're thinking they're all the same, you're sadly mistaken. This location makes the best guac (yes, other locations add too much this or that), the chips are always fresh and lime salted to perfection and they also have tenderest marinated meats!

    (4)
  • Elizabeth L.

It's like subway but mexican food... 1. You can choose- burrito, tacos, bowl, or salad 2. Choose the meat or u can go veggie 3. Choose what goes in it... beans, rice, cheese, guac, salsa, corn, etc... 4. Can add chips or drinks... Why I Keep Goin Back for more: -the fast line: they work quickly :D -the smell of the meat grillin' behind the workers...mmmmm -Salsas taste fresh like I just made it myself but better lol -THE GUACAMOLE...OMG just the right combination of avocados, tomatoes, onions, and whatever else they put in it to get me addicted-it cost extra but they give you a big serving spoonful... ;) -the grilled chicken is my favorite...just the right flavor, but the other meats are good too -theres sweet corn... I know...it's just corn but I love sweet corn. It adds balance with the spicy -they are cool when you ask nicely for a lil' extra stuff (i always ask for a lil more fajita onions and peppers yum) What I always get is the chicken salad with the fresh salsa, grilled onions and peppers, corn, guac, and cheese. Doesn't seem like anything special but TRUST -oh so flavorful.... they offer a dressing which is good but I never get it cuz you really don't need it.... all the flavor is in the fresh ingredients. When I want some good fresh n Healthy alternative to mex food, I come here n plus the bf can get his giant burrito with the chicken, cilantro rice, grilled onions n peppers, sour cream, salsa, and corn.

Normally I would've given this place 4 stars, but it just wasn't "in the stars" for tonight. I got my food plenty quick, but they were a bit stingy with the steak. The next worker in the assembly line wasn't very friendly and wouldn't even establish eye contact with me. Overall, the food was O.K., though I've had better burritos in the past, and the customer service could use some improvement.

Quiet plaza during the day. Same as any other Chipotle with regards to cleanliness, the assembly line, and the setup. Music was more Indie at this location. Unlike some of the OC locations, the lady broke off some serious meatage in the burrito too - so thank you for not being stingy! Never be afraid to ask for more, they will kindly oblige. Sat outside and listened to tunes while I ate my pregnant barbacoa burrito. Excellent service and friendly atmosphere. Being that this was Pasadena, there were a lot of very kind geriatrics here.

  • Cynthia L.

Another Chipotle. They are all the same pretty much. My usual order is crispy tacos with chicken, corn salsa, lettace and sour cream. It used to come with four tacos, now they downsized the order to three. Cheap a$$es. At least it doesn't get me sick like Taco Bell. One up just for that!

Chipotle is great, however, very busy at times. I might have gone at the wrong time but the line was quite long. The employees do work very fast to make sure we hungry people are being helped, however, the food preparation becomes sloppy.

I was dragged here by my co-workers. Im not gonna like it. "It's good!!", they assured me with my arms crossed, lips pursed, and eyes squinting suspiciously. Well, I must say, after being dragged there, going through the harried line and having to direct them on how to make my burrito and sitting down and biting into it,.....I was RIGHT!! I didn't like it!! I'm right again!!! BWAHAHAHAHA. So tiring to always be right. The white rice is wrong. Sounds good. Cilantro?? YUM! Lime? YUM. Cilantro lime rice? Bland. I felt like I had Chinese rice in my damn burrito. Salsa's were too watery and made my burrito ridiculously soggy. I ended up just ripping off all of the gross soggy white tortilla and tossing it aside and tried to work my way through the guts of the burrito. Should have just gotten a bowl. I just don't get what people love about this place. I think they just like to be herded through a line pointing at what they want in their burrito, I guess. Does it make you feel more in control? I didn't find the variety to be that extensive, so really, I didn't feel there was that much of a "have it your own way" thing going on here. Beans rice and meat. Big deal. Nothing especially tasty. *shrug* I like the concept of the naturally raised animals. Wish I could've liked the place.

I love chipotle. The barbacoa spiciness; smoky fajita flavor, crunchy corn and lettuce, fresh tomatos and the smooth and silky sour cream (: YUMYUM. Though their food may be pricier, its HUGE in portions and so fresh and flavorful. Their guac is sooo goood, but kind of overpriced for what you get. The only part I dislike is how small and crowded this place gets, even though i like sitting outside on a cool day, inside is like a war for seats.

  • Marilyn M.

I've been coming here for years now and I like it. The burritos are pretty stuffed and they fill you up. I've gotten the chips ad guac on time but I get stuffed from a burrito, so not worth it. I've never tried anything other than their burritos. The place is clean, loud, and has more out door seating than in. Its a great place to talk.

Your chicken salad was so good to me! I am constantly coming back for more. The guacamole is good stuff also!

  • Nancy Q.

love the guacamole, they seem to give you more in the burrito than in the little container. The chicken burrito is yummy! The chips are too salty for me-chucks of sea salt. I like the chicken burrito or bowl, and it's not too bad for next day left overs. It's always too much to finish, so I like the feeling of paying for two meal. So, I get two meals for under $10. Works for me! the steak is too hard for me, so I stick with chicken. I minus for the staff wiping the counter with their glove, than smearing it on the apron, and of course making the food afterwards. It's not life threatening, but very appealing-especially to a germ-a-phobe like myself.

  • Shareon S.

I absolutely love this place! Every time I go and I'm satisfied with the quality of food that they have. However, I'm not always satisfied with the amount that they put in the bowl. I always get a burrito bowl, but they don't always put a significant amount of food in the bowl. It seems like the new people are afraid to give you a decent amount of meat and welcome moly. Either way I love this place and I will be back. Oh, but there is always a very long line and that's really annoying. I guess when the food is that good people will flock to the restaurant!

I just discovered Chipotle recently and LOVE it! Their ingredients are fresh, you can select your own ingredients, and minimize carbs if you want to. This is a great place to go to get a healthy meal!

  • Christina H.

Okay, I swear everyone comes here for a burrito or burrito bowl, which I do too, and since every one is raving about that, I'm going to try and stop myself from doing that....I just wanted to tag on that my guilt pleasure of going to Chipotle is for guac and chips. It's the most elementary item of these tex-mex, 'mexican food' places, but I have no idea what gets me every time. I do have the occasional burrito bowl (and not being able to finish, because they are GIGANTIC), or burrito (which is just as gigantic). The chicken, occasionally, gets to be on the dry side. but all in all it's a big thumbs up for its yum factor. But when you're not up for an over-the-top-calorie-filled meal, just stop in for guac and chips! :) (careful though, sometimes the chips get a little TOO salty and your lips get all crinkled up, but then again, my guilty pleasure. so :P )

I know, I know. You're broke as hell. You're either (a) paying back loans, (b) still a student, (c) an unemployed bum, or (d) in some sort of overworked, underpaid job. The hole in your wallet is growing exponentially, and dining out just isn't an option anymore. I get you, and I want to help. So I will impart some practical wisdom on how YOU can get a meal from Chipotle for an outstanding low price of $2.00 plus tax. "But how, Winnie?" you may ask. You've been to Chipotle many a time to satisfy your Mexican-food cravings. You know that a steak burrito with guac and soda costs a pretty penny at almost ten bucks. The secret to a two-dollar meal? Follow the seven steps below: (1) Leave all traces of self-respect and pride at the door. There will be no such room for these moral luxuries during this low-point of your personal financial crisis. (2) You will interact with four Chipotle staff members during your time in the food line. Staff #1: The Tortilla Dispenser. She/he will ask you what you are ordering. Burrito, Bol, or Tacos? For here or to go? Simple questions, simple answers. You're going for one--yes--one soft flour taco, to go. **Killer Fact #1** Surprise! Tacos can be ordered a-la-carte. They run from $2.00-$2.30 each, depending on the meat. When you order one individual taco, the establishment as a whole will immediately feel sorry for you and generously heap up the condiments. This works greatly in your favor, as you will end up with almost twice as much food as you are actually paying for. (3) Staff #2: The Beans, Rice, and Meat Dispenser. She/he will usually skip the beans and rice, and ask what meat you want, since tacos usually do not come with these commodities. But you will ask for both. You will also be getting the chicken, as this is the most economical choice. "But I want steak, Winnie" you say. Well I say back, you're poor, f*cker. Poor people eat chicken. Get over it. (4) Staff #3: The Salsas and Veggies Dispenser. You will request mild salsa, corn, whatever other salsa your heart desires, cheese, sour cream, and lettuce. Guac? Don't even think about it, poorie. After she/he finishes up your taco, kindly ask for lettuce, corn, AND mild salsa 'on the side'. **Killer fact #2** Side orders of salsa/veggies/sour cream come in 4-ounce containers and are complimentary with purchases. (5) Staff #4: The Cashier. She/he will ring up your order and ask if you want a drink or chips. You want neither. You will, however, take a water cup. You will pay a grand total of $2.14 for your goods. Put away your wallet and kindly ask how much an extra small flour tortilla will cost. If you are cute enough, you should be able to get one at no extra charge. If not, f*ck it. Extra tortillas will make you fat anyway, and you're already ugly as it is (apparently). (6) Head over to the refreshment and condiment area. Get a bunch of lemon wedges. Now to the tricky part...while your water cup was free, what you REALLY end up drinking depends on your risk-taking level. Pick one: [Zero Risk]. For the goodie two-shoes: Fill your water cup with water. Add a lemon wedge if you're feeling spunky. And then go f*ck yourself for being so damn boring. [Mild to Moderate Risk]. You're living on the edge. I dig it. Quickly scan the premises for any straying Chipotle staff. Once you are in the clear, fill your water cup with either Sprite or Lemonade and quickly put the lid on. Lemonade and water usually come out of the same spout ('confusing', right?), so it's an easier excuse if you get caught. Sprite is also an agreeable option, as its clear consistency is nearly identical to that of H20. I personally like to flick the bottom of the cup a few times to release the carbonated bubbles long enough to make a quick getaway out the back entrance. [High Risk]. The daredevil! You are bad-ass and you know it. Fill your water cup with whatever the f*ck you want. You can also get yourself a five-finger discount on a bottle of Tapatio while you're at it. Stab anyone who dares to cross your path. Thug life. (7) Upon returning to your humble abode, take a small plate to put your taco on. (Ideally, a smaller plate will trick your mind into thinking there is more food.) If you were aesthetically-pleasing enough to get that extra tortilla, split the contents of the taco onto both tortillas equally. Get a small bowl and throw in the corn, tomato salsa, and lettuce. Spritz some lemon on there. Wa-lah! You now have a 12-ounce salad, a drink, and two tacos. "WTF, Winnie?", you might say once you pull this trick and are left mildly hungry. You aren't completely satisfied! Well, I say back, my Jewish ways just got you a 78% discount on a decent Mexican-American meal, you inconsiderate f*cker. I did not promise you a food coma. Take that extra $7.75 I just saved you and pick up a couple Value Menu items from the fast food establishment of your choice. You'll still be sitting pretty with an extra Lincoln in your wallet.

This place isn't trying to be authentic Mexican. It serves its purpose as a fresher, tastier, cleaner, fast alternative to Taco Bell or Del Taco. The ingredients are quality so you pay a little more. The place and the food has some style and quirkiness to it. Service is fast, but they could add more meat to the burritos. Don't mess with the tacos here, the burritos or bowls are the way to go. The chips and guacamole are good also. Take-out or dining in are both good options.

Today I went on Yelp to see what restaurants were nearby my appointment and noticed Chipotle. I like there food but I had no intention of reviewing it until I read a couple reviews giving it only two stars. The one reviewer said it wasn't authentic Mexican food...DUH! I don't think there is one person that walks into Chipotle and thinks it is authentic. If I wanted authentic I would hit up a taco truck. I bet you their food is not as fattening as the real deal too. Anyways...the line was not too long which was a nice change from the one on Rosecrans. The steak was fresh and not chewy. The staff was friendly and there is plenty of parking because it is located in lot with a bunch of other stores and businesses (You can't see it from Foothill Blvd.) Oh...I love their hot sauce even if it is not real Mexican hot sauce.

I LOVE THIS PLACE!! The burritos always tastes so fresh. I'm not really a meat eater so this is perfect for me. Their Chicken is just okay. I prefer the steak, but can never finish. Or just go veggie, no regrets. Best part is you can choose your own veggie. PCC students with ID Free SODA!

I can see why Chipotle is very popular throughout the US. It's Mexican food without being Mexican. Chipotle is the Orange County, specifically Irvine, of Mexican food. Very clean, very presentable, carries the essence of Mexican food but it's not quite right nor authentic. Given a question a gunpoint, "Tacos Mexico in the hood or Chipotle in the pretty part of Pasadena?" I take Tacos Mexico in the hood, with bullets whizzing by me in a heartbeat. Tacos Mexico can be extra, extra hot...extra, extra greasy and unbelievably gassy. It hurts to go to the bathroom when you're done. But that's the price one pays for such indulgences. Chipotle, while it fits the bills and tastes good. It lacks the punch and the sauciness that Mexican and Central American food possesses. Chipotle is a pretty waltz while authentic Mexican places in the hood are a salsa or those crazy, sexual reggaeton dances. Last, I love places where the meat is hanging or placed on a pike with the server slicing a piece off from it then serving you. Guess I need a TJ trip to get my Mexican fix on. Chipotle gets a slight recommendation from me.

The quantity of food here is wildly inconsistent! One day it would be heaps of serving and another day it would be half a bowl or burrito. Food quality is decent compared to other locations. The line always snakes around the front entrance and then in between the tables which makes it real hard to walk around with your tray of food after you order. Design of the restaurant is definitely poor.

I was in line today 11-11-12 for approx 30 minutes. The line was very long and they just don't have enough people preparing the food. They were out of several items and it was a very disappointing experience. My chicken burrito lacked flavor and after spending $13, I'm very disappointed. If they want to maintain customers, they better get it together and hire some more staff. I won't be back for quite a while!

Used to come here a lot for lunch. Not so much anymore, since I've discovered WAHOO'S. Nowhere beats Wahoo's, dude. Anyways, enough about Wahoo's, this is about Chipotle. Haha, the first time I tried this place, I thought it was pronounced chi-pottle, not chi-poat-lay. I haven't had Chipotle since last summer, but last night I had a sudden craving of it after reading an article about the founder Steve Ells in 'Reader's Digest'. So after I finish this review, I'm going to go get me some. In all seriousness though, I don't understand the hype and why there's always a huge line. It's just a burrito. I guess people love the fact that it's "real food" even though, it's a fast-food type of place. One thing I do enjoy about Chipotle is that students get a free drink, with ID. Also, Chipotle isn't owned by McDonald's anymore, people. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- UPDATE: Like my review said, I was going to get me some, right? So I went, bought a burrito (they double wrapped it with 2 tortillas, 'cause the first one broke-yum, I love tortilla!), showed my college student ID to the cashier to get a free soda, but the cashier looks at me and says, "High school students only." Okay. Because of that, you lose one star.

I live within walking distance of the Alhambra location, but most of the time, I end up here b/c I'm always shopping at the Best Buy next door. And this one does the burritos a bit bigger than the one in Alhambra (shhh, don't tell the manager here). Mine's always juicy. Barbacoa, black beans, rice, fajita peppers, tomato, corn and green salsa plus extra sour cream. This is the first time they offered to double-wrap (n/c btw). Delicious, and it didn't fall apart like it sometimes does. Best. Burrito. Ever. Only reason I give it four stars: the wife would rather go somewhere else that has seafood.

It was so big, the guy had to jimmy his package a little just to get it out. It was enormous, a 2-handed affair that landed on the kitchen counter with a dull thud. Some of the girls emitted strangled gasps of awe. Some of the dudes whipped out their cell phones and started taking pictures, posing next to the monstrosity. A more intrepid fellow took out a dollar bill and placed it next to the beast as a size reference. A weak stomached couple had to leave the room, where the girl reportedly fainted. My house mate looked on enviously, saddened by his poor luck of the draw. There was no way anyone else could handle this gigantor. It was up to me. it barely fit as i stuffed the first mouthful down my gullet. my eyes teared a bit as i realized that this was entirely too much meat, choking amidst cheers of "GO GO GO!" from spectators. I gave up, cut it in half, put it in a bowl and used a fork. Chipotle gave me a burrito so huge last night, they had to double wrap it. The girl initially wrapping it actually gave up, called a guy over who proceeded to man-handled my 'burrito' into a cube-shaped 2.5 lb monstrosity. My friend snickered at the ridiculous sight, i bust out laughing, the entire staff joined in on the hilarity, the patrons thought we were fucking nuts. The trick is to order online. Since you order from an assembly line, they have to save room in order to add more ingredients. If they know everything you want beforehand, they don't try to conserve space and just slap on the totality. Which usually results in an enormous burrito. ENORMOUS. This one took me 3 meals to finish. And their burritos are tasty! Steak, rice, fajita vegetables, sour cream, lettuce, guacamole, pinto beans, and ALL the salsas. Delicious! $8! If you're still in college, I'm pretty sure this review just changed your life. Peace.

So what this place is owned by McDonald corp. Their burritos are big and good. I wouldn't get anything else but their carne asadas. 2 star knock offs because I keep finding hard animal fat in the meat. Very hard animal fat :[ Makes me a sad panda because this place was a 5 for me when it came out. Now the quality of the meat has gone down and the amount of meat per burrito is less and they sub in more rice. Boo!

The food here hasn't been consistently good. I'm a big fan of Chipotle, but this location hasn't been very consistent with quality. For that, I give 3 stars. Otherwise, i'm a five star fan of Chipotle restaurants.

for a fast food chain and americanized mexican food.. this place is not bad at all...it's fresh and i always have a good time / experience at Chipotle. i choose chipotle over taco bell, dell taco, and baja fresh. (i have yet to try Qdoba; heard it's the same as chipotle? not sure). i always get the steak burrito with extra rice, steak, pico de gallo, corn, cheese, and lettuce... in the end, my burrito gets soo big/fat that they need a couple of Al foils to wrap my burrito. occassionally i'd get their fajita burrito w/ steak.

After a visit to UCLA, we were deciding where to eat afterwards. When I said i haven't been to Chipotle's, they were shocked and pulled off the "I can't believe you haven't been there" attitude. So we decided to go to this Chipotle's that my friend has been going to. I always past this place but never actually been inside and eaten here. Usually when I go to any Mexican-style restaurant, I order a carne asade burrito and that's what I tried here. I like how the customer chooses what they want in their dish, like in a Subway restaurant. Being hungry like i was that day, I asked for everything in my burrito. One thing i noticed was guacamole was almost $2 extra to add and i was like 'forget that'. When I tried the burrito, dang, it was fresh, it was delicious, it was good. But the major flaw is the limited amount of meat they put in. Sure, you could taste the meat in every few bites, but when i ask for a carne asada burrito, I would rather bite into juicy meat with the vegetables and sauce complimentary the meal. In this place, the vegetables overpowered that meat. Don't get me wrong, it was good to eat, but next time, i might get the vegetarian burrito so I could get the guacamole included in there. But in the end, the burrito filled me up and i was satisfied. If you're a huge meat eater, i wouldn't suggest this place to you but if you're a vegetarian or just willing to eat something, give this place a try.

Chipotle is a sin to Mexican food is pretty much my blanket statement about this entire corporation; I would choose Taco Bell EVERY SINGLE TIME instead of Chipotle, but luckily I would never need to as there are more than enough good Mexican spots around. Burritos here are always much more like a tube of bean salad that a burrito, but at least you can order from your iPhone right?

I don't care what anyone has to say whether it's authentic Mexican food or not. I grew up in the hood and trust me I had my fair share of real Mexican food. Who cares if it is not authentic, what do you expect from a corporate chain food establishment such as Chipotle? The food they offer at Chipotle either way is tasty and fresh. Fresh is what gets me coming back here because: A. Nothing is fried here B. Crispy fresh lettuce C. The Salsa they offer D. Served in a man's man portion There's plenty of parking at this location and a huge outdoor patio (great on a sunny day). So c'mon people, lets have some Chipotle! Good To Know: They don't offer free drink with student ID anymore =( Only valid for high schoolers...

I think their steak burrito bowl is the best! That's what I have ordered the last few times I've had Chipotle. The coolest thing is that you can ask them to pile on the sauteed red & green bell peppers, pico de gallo, corn salsa, & lettuce!! So make sure you have them pile it all in for you to get your money's worth!! :)

I frequently visit this chipotle location. You can't go wrong with chipotle, fresh foods made in front of your face. The only thing I notice is I haven't seen some of the regular employees. The other thing is there are a couple of times that I have been here, I see the supervisor pointing out to the employees how they are putting too much meat in the bowl, and i look at the bowl, and it looks fine. Really now? i think its best to have the discussion in the back, not in front of the customers.

I live about a 30-40 minute drive away from here and this is the closest chipotle around. I wish there was another closer. It's somewhat expensive, about six dollars, another dollar and eighty cents if you want guacamole. I love the guacamole so I always get it. It comes down to about eight or nine dollars without a drink if you get guacamole. I would come here several times a weeks if it were closer. I have had a craving for the past week! There's a self-serve beverage station, it's pretty small interior but I normally eat outside anyway and enjoy the view of the near by mountains.

K, I'm fully aware this isn't "autentico", just as Buca di Beppo isn't real Italian, so don't worry about me bringing someone from Iceland and telling them, "Yeah, so this is Mexican food, tacos and burritos." Food can still be good if Americans get their hands on it, granted they are not dirty hands. All I can eat from here is the Vegetarian Burrito, but I is not complainin'. Never disappointed. Extra guacamole please. Here's $5. Ciao.

This Chipotle is located in a shopping center w/ a Best buy, ross, starbucks, etc. This is the one and only Chipotle that I've been to...I'm not too crazy about their food, but I guess it's a fresh and healthier alternative to other fast food joints.

Two words: Racist and stingy. I was charged 2.00 for "extra" meat and received about 2 half spoonfuls. While the Caucasian and African American customers next to me received large scoops next to me. Every time I come, this happens. And the asian woman in front of us received the same poor treatment. This is the last time I'll be coming here.

This was the first Chipotle I started going to - about five years ago. I used to have to come here once a week. I wanted everyone to know about this great place, and I bought everyone gift cards at Christmastime, encouraging them to come here and try the food. But... (you knew it was coming) lately they have had some pretty stupid people working there and assembling the food orders! My latest experience is among the worst, so I thought I would share it here. I ordered a burrito and when the girl making it asked if I wanted rice and beans, I replied that I just wanted beans, but asked if she could add a little more beans which I figured was OK since I opted-out on the rice. Her response was that I would have to pay extra for extra beans. OK, nevermind! Then my burrito was shoved down the way to the next employee with an "I don't give a shit about customer service" attitude. She asked what kind of salsa I wanted and I said "medium" - she reached for the mild and I stopped her and said, "No, no, I asked for medium" and she got a little pissy with me and so I wasn't surprised when I asked if she could add some cilantro (which is right behind the prep people and already chopped up - not like I was asking for a freakin' hard boiled egg) and she went over and grabbed LITERALLY a full cup of cilantro and buried the burrito in cilantro! I wanted to ask her to maybe remove half of it, but she was really pissy so I just figured I would remove it myself after I sat down (which I now think was the wrong thing to do because I should have just walked out of the restaurant at that point or asked for the manager to offer some training advice). Before this visit, a friend and I had both ordered burritos and while he got only cheese in one end of the burrito, I had more about 3/4 of a cup of cheese on my burrito and very little meat. I stopped going to Baja Fresh when they started serving burritos with very little meat in them and over-loaded with rice and beans and charging seven dollars for this "service". I am hoping that Chipotle isn't going down that same road. The food at Chipotle can still be good but who wants to be served by angry bitches who don't care if you ever come back? There are PLENTY of other places to eat. I'm sure there has to be one without grumpy attitudes.

I love coming here if I want some guacamole and chips because their guacamole is so fresh and so good and since I'm there I usually get their burrito bowl as well which is good to take out the tortilla as it is pointless calories and with all the options u can add to ur burrito bowl u wont even miss the tortilla. But of course this is not as good as a real Mexican restaurant either way the food is on point.

The wait is sometimes a little long during lunch/dinner time but they handle the traffic extremely well and efficient. The place is usually clean but a little small for interior dining however they have a good sized patio/outdoor area that's perfect for nice sunny days. The ingredients are fresh and I usually order the salad with steak, rice, pinto beans, red salsa, corn, fajita peppers, and extra lettuce. All for the same low price of $6.35 plus tax. Awesome healthy meal for an extremely great value.

There are days you don't feel like having steak, days you don`t feel like having pasta, sandwiches, sushi, etc... but there just isn't a day when Chipotle doesn't sound delicious. My usual order is the barbacoa bowl with rice, corn (+extra!), cream cheese, cheese, salsa, hot sauce, and sometimes guac. A side order of tortilla chips goes well with the bowl, but about 1/2 the time the chips are a little too salty for my taste. I tried the soft tacos with the same ingredients as before, and I love those too. The only problem is that they get soggy quickly from all of the sauce :[.. The bf and I only recently discovered the joys of ordering beforehand online. That way we can schedule the pickup time and skip the hassle & line. Chipotle, I'll never be sick of you!

Chipotle. Ahhh, the word makes be grin with delight. But first, this is not real Mexican food. If you're going here for that, you're in the wrong spot. Anyone who rates this place low because it's not "real Mexican" doesn't understand the point of Chipotle. They're not trying to be "real Mexican." This place is basically Subway for Burritos. And, you have to know how to order to get the best food. The first few times I came here, I didn't like it that much. But I figured out the combinations of ingredients I like best and now I love the Chopitle. Where else can you get a 1 lb burrito full of yummy goodness for less then 6 bucks? The restaurants are spotless, the service is generally very good and consistent. Tips for Chipotle Success: Ordering and progressing through the line at Chipotle can be daunting. Basically the goal is to get the best possible build for your food, as quickly as possible. If you follow these tips, or at least keep them in mind, you'll have a better experience. 1. Don't order the tacos. Please don't order the tacos. They take forever to make and you're getting less food for the same price. You're also holding up the line. If you must order the tacos, observe how little you're getting compared to the guy next to you that ordered a burrito, also notice how long it took to make your order. Order a burrito or a bowl (bol). 2. Don't cave to the backed up cashier. When the cashier gets backed up it holds up the whole line. The people behind the counter are trained to keep going so they'll start taking orders from people way down the line. As a result of this you can't monitor them as closely as they work on your food and they'll often make mistakes. If I'm more then a few people away from the person constructing my burrito I get nervous. Keep a very close eye on them, or ask them to wait until you're closer. 3. Speak loudly, and clearly. The people be the counter are mostly on auto-pilot. You have to speak loud enough that they can hear what you want, and do speak clearly . Don't tell elaborate stories about what you want. Just say "Pinto beans" or "Steak" or "no rice". 4. The first person in the row will ask you what you want. DO NOT SAY "I want a steak burrito with extra cheese and guacamole." They do not care, they don't want to know that, they want to know if you want a burrito, taco, bol, or salad. Just tell them that. Match up you next request to the next item on their counter, which will be rice. Do you want rice? Do you just want a little? Tell them. "Light rice" "Extra rice" whatever, after they do that, tell them if you want pinto or black beans. Eventually they'll reach the hand-off point and the next person will ask what meat you want. Just tell them that. 4b. Don't let the person bait you into skipping ahead. Sometimes the first worker will ask a vague question like "Black or Pinto beans." But you haven't told them about rice yet, thats because they're assuming you want rice. What if you don't? Don't answer their silly question. Tell them your rice preference, then the bean preference. "Chicken buritto?" don't fall for it. Just follow the steps listed above. 4c. Be forgiving. I've had occasions where I told them I want one thing and they will automatically do something else -- they're not stupid, they're just following memorized motions. If the workers build you something wrong because they didn't follow instructions or made a mistake, just ask them to toss it and make another. They will, it's not a big deal. 6. You can ask for more. You can get "more" of anything except meat for free. If you want more cheese or salsa, then just ask for it. Be specific "one more handful of cheese" or "another full scoop of salsa please". If you're paying extra for guacamole and they skimped on it, ask for more, you'll get it. 7. The salsa is called "Mild, Medium, and Hot." Use the words they are used to and the worker will not have to clarify your request. You can ask for extra salsa on the side in a cup. In fact, you can get anything on the side if you want. 8. Pay with a credit card. I takes 2 seconds and the line moves quickly. Be a good human. Stuff not on the menu: A. You can order nachos. B. You can ask them to build your food out of order (ie, put the guacamole in first) but please, only do this when there is no line. C. A bowl (bol) can start with rice, or lettuce. They have a special container of lettuce up front for this. Don't worry about rule B above. In General, this is the order of items on the counter: Tortilla, Bowl, Taco Shell, etc. Rice Black Beans, Pinto Beans Fajitas peppers & onions Chicken Steak Barbocoa (shredded marinated steak) Carnitas (pork) Salsas (Mild, Medium Hot) Corn Cheese Sour Cream Guacamole (Extra charge) Lettuce Cashier (Chips, Drinks)

If you've been to chipotle before, you know what to expect. The student free drink is an awesome deal (they changed it to high school students only now). Great taste, roomy environment, and convenient location. One complaint is its consistency. I typically order a bowl and sometimes they give me ridiculously little steak/rice. On the other hand, sometimes i get a lot. Either way, this is a nice chipotle with a bestbuy nearby if you plan on walking to digest your 1000 calorie meal.

I LOVE Chipotle but this location is terrible! The people give attitude and they skimp on the amount of rice they put in my burrito bowl =( This happens to me every time I go here... so needless to say, I go to the one on Lake instead. This one time, I asked the girl if she could put in a little more rice and she pretty much just added 3 more grains. I felt like slapping her. The food's good. It tastes just like every other Chipotle. That's the one good thing about chain stores is that they are (usually) consistent. It's unfortunate that it's kinda expensive for what it is... specially when you add the guacamole... my goodness! But the rice is fantastic and I love the salsa with the corn... mmmmmm... aragaghargh!

Having a student ID means free soda, oh how I must add one star just for that. I could never distinguish the size difference between a burrito bowl and a burrito.

Love their food. We go there at least once a week. Workers are usually friendly, place is clean and servings are good. can't leave without my chip and guac =)

The food is great - fresh, served quickly. Problem I have with them, especially this location, is the place is jam packed between 11:30 to 2:00 every weekday. If you go right around normal lunch hour, the line will be long.

I LOVE Chipotle but I agree with a previous reviewer, this location stinks! They aren't especially friendly, I've been hassled about call in orders twice and compared to other locations they are extremely stingy. I can sort of understand why, I saw a new person being trained once and I was afraid for them. Management needs some work at this Chipotle. I know every location is different but at this one EVERYTHING is spicy, even the "mild" pico de gallo!! So when I order cheese and sour cream, it's to put the flames out and this is the only location that's ever tried to charge me extra for that. The portions in general are pretty weak. At most locations the burrito filling is barely contained by the tortilla... you will not have that problem at the Foothill location. Go to the Glendora or Lake locations instead! PS. To the reviewer who complained about authenticity... they serve pretty authentic San Francisco/Mission burritos and sure it says Mexican in the name but "Chipotle Mexican-American Grill Inc" just didn't have the same ring to it.

I love chipotle. Unique rice (salt, lime & cilantro), flavorful fresh grilled meats and lots of sauce choices. They're pretty generous with portions. It's really clean for a fast food place. I noticed they raised their prices but it's still affordable. Their chips are really good too. I have to minus one star because: 1) The rice is inconsistant between undercooked, not seasoned enough and over seasoned. I love rice so this is important to me. 2) One time I saw the manager (or owner) yell at this customer because the customer complained the coke dispenser was broken (it sprayed coke all over him) and that they should put an 'out of order' sign up. Apparently the complaint didn't sit well with the manager and he basically called the customer an idiot for not noticing the dispenser was broken. The manager then proceeded to tell the customer how much money the restaurant makes so don't question his business running skills. That turned me off from coming to this location for a while.

I love Chipotle! I love how I can customize the burrito so that I get to eat a burrito and not feel guilty about it. Not really possible at other "fast food" places. The part of the burrito I enjoy the most is their rice...I believe this is their special ingredient! I wish there were more Chipotle's out there!

  • E. U.

Any time I come here, it's the burrito bowl I get. Carnitas (always savory) with some guac, lettuce, lime-tasting rice, and depending on how spicy I want, I'll have the corn with that hot kick, or the pico de gallo for a milder salsa. And for the price it's so worth it. I guarantee you won't eat it all, that's how big the serving size is! Sharing is best.

    (4)
  • Wong S.

At this particular location, I loved the food. I ordered the Carnitas bowl. There was a line and the girl put my rice and carnitas in the bowl. This being my first time here, I saw her spread the meat out onto the bowl. Didn't think anything of it at first. But after we sat down and ate, I just felt like the bowl was so tiny. They didn't fill it up. What made me mad was that after we were done eating, we noticed other people coming out to sit down and eat and their bowls were filled 30% higher than ours. We think they skimped on us because they had a line and weren't sure if they had enough food to service everyone but that is just wrong. Why do others get bigger portions when it's slow or when there's no line? The food was very flavorful but they are cheap here!!

  • Claire S.

I love Chipotle! My favorite is the steak burrito bowl with black bean, all kinds of salsa on top (to me it's more flavorful then just pick one salsa), lettuce, cheese and sour cream. yum!

    (5)
  • Christina N.

Even though their food is supposedly REALLY bad and fattening and probably just as unhealthy as Mcdonald's, i love it here. I get the carnitas burrito with basically everything on it. Pretty delicious! It's huge too, so i always split it with a friend. their tacos are decent too, but not as filling.

    (5)
  • Roger H.

well i've been here a few times and it's not bad. it might look healthy but come on all those calories plus they serve beer. on the plus side it's quick, conveniant, and affordable. what more could you ask for. so hey get your chipotle on!

    (4)
  • Anders C.

So I decided to try the other two meats, barbacoa and carnitas. Now this is where the really good stuff was. I had extra sour cream , corn salsa, fejita veggies, lettuce, rice along with a regular serving of pinto beans. Boy was it good. It's not perfect, but it's probably the best I've ever had. w00t!

    (5)
  • Michael L.

You can get a GOOD burrito here. I don't know if it is very authentic, but it is GOOD! Best thing is you can get pretty much as many fixing inside without changing the price. They only charge by the staple item (carnitas, steak, chicken etc). My favorite item though is lime rice they use for the burritos and tacos. Vegetarian Rating: 3/5 Even though their vegetarian options seem limited, because of all the fixins you can have a good variety.

    (5)
  • Bud R.

I have been eating at this Chipotle since it opened. I love the fresh ingredients but the chicken and beef tend to be spicy hot. Most everything on the menu is delicious but I have grown to prefer the buritto bowl in shredded beef or marinated chicken. Even if there is a line the line moves fast and there has always been seats and tables available.

Before finding authentic taquerias in SF, I had this wonderful and expedient Chipotle in Hasting's Ranch. Yes, Chipotle is anything but authentic, but this fast food joint gets brownie points for serving my burritos fast and hot! Back in the day, that was all it took to make me happy when I was working in Pasadena. Three stars for the vegetarian burrito, and two additional stars for fast service and positive employee attitudes.

  • Erica H.

This is one of the first chipotle's I ever went to, way back in high school just up the street. It's a very clean location with a fast line. It's not like any of the one's in Hollywood where you'll wait 10-15 minutes in line just to be told to wait for more meat to come off the grill. Generous portions too....that's a big one for Chipotle. I feel jipped when I go to a location that I've never been to and they give me three pieces of meat...I can can't on these Chipotle-teers!

This place doesnt taste to bad.I just wish the server wasnt such a tight ass with the meat! they always shake meat off the spoon to give you minimal amount of meat.Plus they charge $ 1.65 for guacamole,i think thats a Burn 60cnts sounds fair not 1.65.This place always packed with a jamba juice crowd!

  • Ai M.

I didn't know this was a chain at the time and had never heard of Mission-style burritos before. I usually get a burrito bowl nowadays because the burrito is messy eating since its overfilled. I wish I had known I could get free soda with my ID. The food is tasty so I don't care about authenticity. This was the first Chipotle I ever went to.

When you're looking for quality fast-food chipotle is the place to go. The only reason this place gets 3 stars is because the service and composition of the dishes is inconsistent.

I eat quite frequently at this Chipotle. Service is quick and food is generally pretty good. Plenty of outdoor seating and parking (in the shopping center) makes this Chipotle pretty convenient. It does get pretty crowded on weekends, though.

ive had an absolute obsession with the carnitas fajita burrito, all because of you Chipotle. i am never dissatisfied after i put black beans, rice, pico de gallo, sour cream, and lettuce inside because when i peel back the foil it looks like its gonna explode in my face. mmMmmMMMm exploding. hahaha! i dont know what it is, buy the guys that work table do it right! and i always have a good chat with them cause their super friendly and laid back. i would also suggest the burrito bols... i always thought that it wouldnt be the same thing without the gianormous tortilla, but when i tried it i was so surprisingly impressed! tips! get your meal to-go... they stuff it fat and heavy. and you can always ask for a side of that delicious red salsa. and extra-anythings are free!

Listen people Chipotle is not even close to authentic mexican food! If you like el torito then you'll love this place!...their white rice is bland..i guess they cater to people who dont know any better..soooo sad:( If you like real mexican food..try Chiquita Bonita on colorado....love them!

  • John H.

This place is pretty darn good for fast food. Most of the time you'll have to wait in line, but its worth it. Its a fast food place set up soup-kitchen style and you get to pick what ingredients you want slammed into your burrito or tacos. They have chicken, beef, pork, and even vegan style if you want. Everything always seems freshly prepared. Service is always quick and courteous. Only complaint I have is that theres not a lot of space to move around by their free-refill drink counter so if you're gonna eat in you'll wanna find an out of the way seat so you don't get crowded such as outside in the patio area. This place is the best fast food in the area. Expect a good sized crowd if you get there during the lunch rush.

  • R M.

First I want to start off that I have been coming to this one since it first opened. There was a lot of turnover with the employees and now all of the sudden the prices went up and for some reason the food servings are still inconsistant to what the price is. Chipotle claims they are using a better beef and chicken just to make the excuse to raise their prices. Last time i checked the USDA regulates everything and they are not serving prime rib or top choice meat. I find that if they are competing with togos or subway, they are definately losing because they raised their prices. I can go to a authentic mexican place and get a combintion plate for lunch cheaper than what chipotle offers. They do have great food, but i feel that I am paying more than what they are serving me.

Nice people, or maybe it's because they saw my dog waiting in the car. Or maybe it's because I ran into the restaurant in a foolish fashion due to the heavy ran outside. But William is right- Chipotle never disappoints. I heart those bigger-than-my-fist burritos, heart those moments even more when I had trouble with the first bite cuz it's too damn huge and packed. But of course, I would go somewhere else for authentic mexican burritos- this is just yet another chain-restaurant.

    (4)
  • William W.

Chipotle never disappoints! If you have student ID you get a free medium drink.. freaken sweet. I use to eat here almost every lunch break because its literally right next door. It gets packed throughout the day, but the line moves quickly. Ingredients are fresh and most importantly tasty. I have never had a bad experience eating at Chiptole.

I figured, how could some chain make a burrito better than the one-of-a-kind Mexican places all over L.A.? Well , I was pleasantly surprised. This place makes a dang good burrito, and I'm Mexican, so I know a good burrito when I taste one. Get the steak! Excellent, tasty ingredients, especially the rice! Even the chips are great. Mmm...Mmm...good!

  • Joie P.

Cilantro rice, lime chips, pico de gallo to die for and beeeeer!! The boy and I love to go here. I use to order the burrito for the cilantro rice but that was before I tried the tacos. I order two chicken tacos, chips and guac and a Pacifico....or two. And please people, it doesn't hurt to try something new or different from the same ol same ol. Have some vision for fuck sake. Perfect on a hot day. And it doesn't suck that Best Buy and Game Stop are very near.

    (5)
  • Kim C.

It's not authentic Mexican food, but it doesn't claim to be either. The ordering process is pretty simple. You choose if you want a burrito, burrito bowl, or three tacos. Then you pick what kind of meat, beans, and fillings you want. I like to get a burrito bowl with no beans, chicken, corn, mild salsa, and lettuce. Yum. I don't come as often as I used to but it still satisfies my burrito cravings every once in a while.

Really good giant burritos you can eat with a fork. These puppies are so large I start with a hole in the middle, work my way out, and I can squish the left overs together and it looks like a brand new burrito. The rice is really yummy and you can have them put all sorts of stuff in your burrito.

chipotle made me love mexican food. fresh salsa (their corn one is amazing!) and guacamole, this is hands down, one of the best "fast food" places to grab lunch. except, a meal at chipotle will set you back more than 50 grams of fat and over 1000 calories. definitely not an everyday lunch meal but when i'm craving mexican, i always turn to chipotle.

Chipotle saved my life on the East Coast of the United States! Out of respect I continue eating here. It's next door to the Best Buy and thay have a great outdoor patio with mist spray. oooh mist spary.

Chipotle is a fresh spin on Mexican food. It's tasty, customizable and just delicious!!! You get in line, tell them what you want, tell them what you dont want, add some sides and/or drinks and pay. You are done! It's like Subway except its for Burritos, Fajita Burritos, Tacos, and Salads. You can get your burrito in a bowl without the tortilla too. The rice they put in the burritos is really delicious. Yummy!

    (5)
  • Kevin P. L.

here is a burrito that makes you feel all good and tingly inside. it'll take some time for you to formulate what you consider the perfect combo of meat, cheese, salsa, sour cream, lettuce, rice, and maybe guac, but when you do, you'll thank the good god in heaven. show a student ID and you get a free soda = cherry on top. but dont get cherries on your burrito. i go there at least once a week and you should too! now.

    (5)
  • Monae P.

The quality of the food has been consistent and I have eaten here many times. For a more healthy selection, try the burrito bowl. You get the rice, chicken or steak, beans, cheese, sour cream, salsa, etc. without the tortilla. It's delicious and you won't miss those extra carbs!

Mmm... Chipotle. So inexpensive, filling, and delicious. Authentic or not, Chipotle always hits the spot with its tasty marinated meats, flavorful rice, and spicy hot salsa. This particular location is busy every time I visit it, and they do an admirable job of processing the line quickly. I deducted one star from my rating of them because the crew there, while always efficient, is sometimes less than pleasant. As an example, when ordering my friend specified "extra cheese." The worker behind the counter put approximately five shreds on each taco-- maybe totaling a quarter of an ounce, at best. When my friend (politely) requested more cheese, she put an additional begrudging pinch on each taco, while giving him an absolutely withering silent stare. Seriously? Too much drama over an ounce of cheese, in my opinion. Nevertheless, the workers can be a little gruff if they want to as long as they keep making those tasty burritos!

I rarely go to Chipotle but I do like how fast this location is. You do get a lot of food. I like the Vegan option. They give you a huge portion of Chips and Guacamole. The Foutain Drink station is a nightmare. It blocks a path and I find myself having to reach over people or wait. It's a cluster F!ck.

I really wanted to like this Chipotle location, as it's really close to my place but not even the proximity of this location will ever convince me to return here. I paid extra for guacamole, which I don't mind doing but it seems as if avocados are no longer in season. There were whole chunks of hard avocado, that weren't eatable. Unfortunately, these hard and brown pieces comprised of around 1/3 of the portion guacamole given to me. There were pieces of steak in my bowl that weren't chopped into pieces, so I had awkward strings of steak to eat. I've given this location a few tries. Even though, for the most part, the employees at this location are super friendly, the number of negative experiences I've had here outweighs the number of positive ones. Looks like I'll be driving the extra few minutes to the location on Lake to get my Chipotle fix. Hopefully that one is better.

  • Ruth L.

I use to frequent this location, now I'm not a chipotle customer anymore. Today I took my kids after school for a quick meal. They didn't have carnitas so my daughter choose barbacoa. They contained was empty but the server kept Scraping au jus and strand of meat for Her burrito. My turn, I ask for barbacoa, the young lady says they're out and it's going to take 10 Minutes. So why did you just serve my daughter au jus? I tell her, I'll wait. They cook says he's shredding the beef... Great! Thus make us wait and keep serving other customers. The coin is trying to give the server the barbacoa and she ignores him. I tell her it's ready and she ignores me. Moral of story is: chipotle is a machine. You break the system and it is chaos! Terrible customer service!

/Sometimes I think it's a sin, when I feel like I'm winnin' when I'm losing again.../ Gordon Lightfoot sang those lyrics about "Sundown" in the 70s, probably before I was born (and most likely before you were imagined) but they have a certain timeless quality, at least in terms of being a meaningful descriptor of the Hastings Ranch Chipotle. There's nothing wrong with this place-- you stand in line, you decide which of the four manifestations of their chow line you'd like to purchase (I always seem to opt for the bowl, then put lettuce on it like a salad... I dunno...) pay a few dollars more that you'd like to for glorified fast food, regard the "sorry, we don't have carnitas right now because we can't find people that slop and kill their pigs in a marketable way" sign with the same general malaise and disdain I observe the "Limit 4" sign on whole bean coffee at Vons, then smother my meal with SALTsa before devouring it like a rabid omnivorous primate. Is it health food? No, but it makes you feel better thinking it isn't Carl's Jr. across the street. Is it bad for you? No... You'd probably die faster drinking floor samples of Taylor Swift's Wonderstruck next door at Ulta. But in the grand scheme of things, kids, burying brown rice and black beans under sour cream, salsa, guacamole, and grilled animal protein instead of white rice and refriend beans with the same toppings (do t forget the tortilla chips, Consuelo) won't get you obliques. Hunger and Health are fickle damsels indeed, and they wear a lot of perfume and make up. Why? Because they're ugly and they stink. I could picture ev'ry move that a man could make, getting lost in her lovin' was your first mistake.....

When Chipotle was a new chain, I used to go there all the time. I LOVED how huge their burritos were and I had never had Barbacoa before. Now, I'm hooked, but don't go there too often anymore since it's so crowded. If you've never been, they way that you order is you pick either burrito or bowl (or whatever else you order, and how you like it - they have quesadillas (which my mother loves, and she can eat quesadillas for like a month straight, to which she says, "I need my calcium!". LOL!!). The last time I came here, I ordered: Chips and guac - surprising good from a "fast food" chain! I think chips are free, but if you're okay paying around $3.50 for guac, I can tell you that it's very fresh. All the times I've gotten it, I've never had a complaint. Barbacoa bowl - this is how I usually order at Chipotle, "Can I get a Barbacoa bowl w/a tortilla on the side (it comes with it, but I didn't know until I saw a person in front of me order that way), with black beans, cilantro-lime rice (white rice that looks tasteless, but is SUPER good!), extra fajitas (they're veggies, gotta get my veggies in), corn salsa AND the medium salsa, cheese sour cream and lettuce." The negatives to coming here is lunch and dinner rush. The line goes out the door and sometimes down the sidewalk. And during these times, the employees are trying so hard to keep the line moving that the portions are inconsistent. Once I got a super light bowl (I'm talking weight because there was not a lot of meat) and I ordered the EXACT same thing for my mom, but with less spicy salsa and for some reason, her bowl was so heavy! So we compared and the portion of the meat was ridiculously inconsistent. I worked in food service in college and I understand the "being crazy busy", but there still needs to be consistent portioning... That's my only complaint, but this is a fast food chain, so I don't expect much out of customer service.

Pretty decent place. A lot better than the two Chipotle's down Rosemead Blvd. Located in a strip mall, it's kind of well hidden if you don't know about this place. Located next to Best Buy and Game Stop, there are plenty of parking spots. Walking into the door, you're greeted immediately by employees, but because this place is hidden, there isn't a long wait. In my case, there was no wait at all, and I was in and out in 5 minutes. All the employees were nice, and attentive, and they actually took my order without asking me to repeat what I wanted like other locations. Also, there is a lot of seating if you decide to dine in. Portion wise, it is the standard Chipotle serving size, which isn't a lot of food, but you can always ask for an extra scoop of whatever.

  • Puzant C.

Great location, nice customer service and long lines go by fast here. They are very efficient. Stopped by for some dinner and it was delicious as usual. Food is delicious and fresh. Prices are a bit steep, $2.00 extra for guac? That's crazy, but it won't stop me from coming of course lol.

I was surprised at the reviews here as I had and have always had great experiences here. I was here early tonight so there weren't many people inside and no line. The new girl behind the counter was great. She was friendly, quick and knew how to make a perfect burrito. Keep her please! I was in and out in less than 5 minutes. The food was good and I'll be back.

This is the slowest Chipotle I've ever been to during the lunch hour. I mean that's why there's that human conveyor belt making burritos, for efficient pace right? It's the only reason to go to a Chipotle because it's not McDonalds (but owned by them i believe), but it's quick and the meat is recognizable unlike its cousin McD. So what's the hold up? Everything else about it is consistent with the others but this location has a limited menu.

im writing this review to express how disappointed i am in the Chipotle app that you can use on your cell phone. ive used it 4 times at this location and i have had terrible service when i used it. the first 3 times i ordered , i would walk in when the food was scheduled to be done, and it wasn't . i walked up to the cashier and told them i had a pickup for me and they always have to rush over and tell the guy in charge of warming the tortillas to slap together my burrito bowl. and they literally slap it together like a elementary school lunch plate, not really caring if they put alot of beans without draining the liquid so your rice ends up all soggy. now everytime i had these bad experiences , i wanted to write a review on it but i would cool off on the ride home and let it slide. well today i had the same thing happen. but this time i walked in and there was only 1 person in line.......so i walk up and ask for the food and they slap it together real quick . the girl at the cash register clearly noticed i was upset ......now im not blaming her for what im complaining about but a simple apology wouldve helped the situation. i used to come to this chipotle once a week but now i go once a month just because of the bad experiences i have on the phone app. i do not recommend anyone to use it unless you are the most patient person in the world and you like getting walked all over. i dont expect a reply back from the manager or owner , and im not saying im never gonna come here again but i sure wont come here as much as i used to. very disappointed .

This chipotle ALWAYS GETS MY ORDER WRONG!! I ask for corn tacos, they give me flour. I ask for salsa on the side, they stupidly down pour it all over the food. This happens all the time!! Very frusterating . Manager, please re-train your employees!

My favorite fast food place to visit. Definitely a healthier fast food choice. Always stop by this place after doing some shopping. Pretty nice and well kept location. Always a line during lunch time when I usually stop in but goes pretty quickly. You can customize your item with different meats, beans and sauces. My item of choice is their burrito bowl. Like to get mine with black beans, carnitas, avocado and sour cream. Very filling. Can never finish it all at once so I'll usually take the rest home and eat it later. Also like to get a side of soft tacos with the adobe marinated chicken. They have lots of seating indoor and outdoor and ample parking within the shopping plaza.

The food is good, I just hate how they rush you. I feel like u never get a min to think about what u want. And depending on what time u come here, they are so skimpy with the guacamole (and you pay almost $2 for it!).

As a few reviews have said before, this is prob the worst chipotle I've been to. Not only have they not had items I wanted to purchase (multiple times) it seems to be a reacquiring problem Never have had this issue before and will Now have to find a new place to spend my lunch

I am disappointed in this place. I kind of like the idea making up your food as you go and I REALLY APPRECIATE the fact that they have veggie ground meat, made out of tofu. Other than that : It was my first experience at Chipotle and nobody bothered to tell me to get out of the line at the cashier without actually ordering first. So after waiting behind 3 people, I finally get to the cashier and THEN she tells me I had to order making up my meal , even though she saw me walking in. But otherwise, nothing is outstanding here and the bowl I got was kind of small for the price. But the 2 stars is because it gave me the runs for the rest of the afternoon. Not a good thing when your work is to be out on the field. I think I am gonna stick to the good old moms and pops mexican places from now on. Food was zero star, one star for the " make up as you go " idea and the second star is for the TOFU MEAT.

    (2)
  • Thatz L.

Ok the food is delicious yet the problem is, the employees seem to be trained to give you THE LEAST AMOUNT AS POSSIBLE! Then they charge you a huge fee for any extra meat. This is a turn off. Only one employee there gives fair helpings of meat. This tall African American guy. But the rest are extremely frugal with the meat and rice and beans. Makes the food seem severely overpriced!

You would think that almost all Chipotle locations would have a certain standard of service and food but this location does not fall under those standards. I will be brief: Portions- Smallest I have every gotten from any chipotle Staff- Rude Would I go back? I didn't even complete my burrito order before I left and went to a local mom and pop spot with great quality, portions, and service which is not hard to find in Pasadena.

Love this Chipotle location! Good parking and the staff gets you through the line pretty fast. I always get the chicken burrito bowl, w/ black beans, white rice, corn, medium sauce, cheese, sour cream, and guacamole! Yes, fully loaded!

We always order the bowl with beans rice grilled veggies corn guacamole meat lettuce sour cream and sometimes hot sauce. They low key skimp hardcore on the meat at the Pasadena location

I love Chipotle for its convenience and consistently decent "Mexican" food but this is the worst location I have ever been to. Sadly, it is close to me but I am driving out of my way to go to a different location. I do not know what is wrong here but I would assume it is the management. The employees always seem really bummed and the whole place runs badly. There is always confusion, stuff running out, and messes all over the food prep area, the soda area, and the dining area. However, I also think the space is to blame on some level. The space is like a long rectangle and it is impossible for anyone to get around in there when there are over 5 people inside. Since there are always over 20 people inside, it is anger inducing to get through the line, get a coke, and to get out the door. I don't know what is wrong with this location but it needs some help. Last, it seems like the employees don't know, or don't care how to make a burrito, which is the only thing they should really be doing. My burritos are always rolled wrong so food is falling all out, and the contents are always arranged wrong, so when you are eating, each bite is a different ingredient rather than a combination of all the ingredients. In essence, I think Chipotle makes decent (but overall bland) semi healthy Mexican Food. However, skip this location if possible and go to a bigger and more solidly run spot.

Good customer service Delicious food Not so different from other chipotles but that's a good thing.

It was my first time at this location and while the food holds to the Chipotle quality, I was very disappointed with the service. Been to other branches where it was busy yet staff was friendly and very accommodating. I did not feel that here. The first person in the assembly line was really nice and welcomed customers with an open smile but the rest gave me the impression that they just wanted me out of there. I even got attitude from the lady at the cashier because she seemed very impatient with me and my daughter. Interesting thing was there wasn't even that many people in line! Chipotle management, I don't usually post comments unless I feel strongly about something. I honestly felt offended with the way the staff treated us tonight. Kindly look into this and make sure that the staff are taught appropriate customer service. You can't just be a place of good food. Service needs to go with that too.

I visit this Chipotle location all the time. It's convenient distance wise and it's not too terrible. This time around, the service was so atrocious that I even contemplated leaving before completing my order. I reached the area where they ask you if you would like any salsa, corn, cheese, etc. I told them the appropriate items that I wanted and when I reached the guacamole I told the man "Guacamole and that'll be all." The man literally did not say one word and ran to the kitchen in the back area behind the cash register. Now I'm standing there near the cash register, literally dumbfounded by what just happened. They asked me to wait and told me that "your order will be coming right up." It's been ten minutes now and I'm still waiting for someone to put guacamole on my bowl. After ten more minutes, the guy who helped me out with my order in the beginning realizes that there's an unfinished order in the line and I tell him that it's mine and that I've been waiting for a long time now. The girl at the cash register tells the guy "he was waiting for more guacamole" when clearly THE GUACAMOLE WAS READILY AVAILABLE IN THE FIRST PLACE. Absolutely ridiculous. Crappy customer service and incompetent staff.

This chipotles and only this chipotles is horrible. They are ridiculously stingy with their ingredients. They give very little rice, very little beans and only like three pieces of meat. If you ask for extra meat they seem insulted that you would do such a thing. I recommend you avoid this chipotles at all costs and go to the one on lake.

wow, what happened here??,I love Chipotle and have been coming here for years but today, short staffed and slowwwwww. They told me I had to wait 8 minutes for the chicken. really??? The only one who was really quick was the Asian girl who put the pico de gallo and lettuce on..she was great. They used to shuttle people in and out so fast here. Did that cut back on staff?? It was 3pm so not exactly lunch rush. Food tasted great still. Just not enough people manning the line

Mr. Chipotle, I come to Chipotle as much as I can. I like the food a lot. By reading the reviews before me, I can tell many people enjoy this type of mexican food as well. However, for healthy reasons, I think it's time to have your employees wear hair nets. We don't want to find hair on our food. Also, I noticed the employees serving food or making food have facial hair, again, we don't want hair on our food. Please make improvements.

Chipotle! Burritos, bowls, tacos, salads, and chips and dips? Choice of chicken, steak, barbacoa, and carnitas. Hmm...the possibilities... Fills me up so that my tummy is plenty happy, saves me money so that my wallet is still full, and is a rather healthy alternative to my usual fast food diet. And at this location, everything is served with insaaaanely friendly smiles! I've also never had an issue with the freshness of the ingredients they use here. Ample parking space, but the store is structured a little awkwardly because it is narrow and tiny. Line may be deceivingly long, but it goes by quick...I promise! Help me. I'm addicted (and I got my little cousins hooked recently, too).

I reviewed this place already but that was a while ago....The service still hasn't changed. It still sucks. I hope management reads this. Most of the employees that iv dealt with have been really rude. I won't come back to this store. Il go to other chipotle stores. The food is still good. It's typical chipotle. But I don't wanna come and see the rude attitudes and lackluster care. This has been going on for years now. That's enough.

Recommendations: Forget wrapped burritos, go with the bowl. This place can get very busy and the way the floor is laid out, you might find yourself standing next to some folks trying to enjoy their meals while you wait in line. There's plenty of outdoor seating options as well should you opt out of that experience. With Chipotle, the food is cooked fresh and the line goes pretty fast. My only concern is that with a fast moving lines, the way the food is prepared isn't always done right. I've had in the past bit into a chuck of sour cream because the person using the serving scoop had just dropped it on 1 spot of the burrito instead of trying to spread it out... yea, gross. Overall, my experiences with Chipotle have been positive.

  • Ashley O.

Chipotle is okay. I think for me enjoying home cooked mom and pop mexican food is nothing compared to this place. Don't get me wrong if you need to grab a quick bite and you are extremely hungry... This is the place to go. They make burritos pretty huge, not abnormal size.. But pretty decent. This shopping area is always packed due to the business location. So expect to be waiting when it comes around lunch time.

First off, this is my first yelp review. I am not one to complain or b!tch about service or food quality unless it becomes a reoccurrence. Case in point my lovely friends at Chipotle on Foothill. I work locally and have placed 4 orders online to save time and beat the long lines since we order for about 6 people. ALL 4 times I have shown up, on my pick up time, to have my food not ready (and by not ready I mean no one has a clue I ordered online and magically find my order and hurry and prepare my food haphazardly). Which leads to a second problem....the order always turns out wrong. Not by adding or forgetting a couple wrong ingredients but confusing meats, putting the wrong salsa or not at all , forgetting the order chips, or no guacamole(which is obviously extra) etc. My tip....wait in line....triple check your order...enjoy.

I love Chipotle. I just wanted to write this to tell everyone to try their quesadilla burrito. They melt the cheese for you and their wrap it up as a burrito with all your favorite things inside. SO GOOD and it DOES MAKE A DIFFERENCE. ASK to get the quesadilla burritos.

I love Mexican food and thus Chipotle and I are a perfect match. After six months of being in the UK, let me tell you, any Californian will miss good ol' Mexican food. There is in fact Chipotle in London but it taste nothing like the real deal stateside A few of my fantastic friends and I had lunch al fresco in the very casual outdoor area. Great spot to people watch as well. Inside feels a bit cramped, but nothing to extreme. Perhaps it would felt particularly cramped that day as the queue was to the door. Since we came during a busy lunch hour, one of us had to save the seats. The line was of course long but it was worth it. Chipotle's variety, freshly prepared food and delicious flavors makes it one of my favorite go to lunch options especially considering how close it is to me . Thank you Chipotle for always being reliable and solid. My absolute favorite thing to get is the veggie burrito with the onions and bell peppers, black beans, and loaded with guacamole....I usually get really hooked up at the Chipotle in La Canada but this was still an excellent version of my ol' faithful.

  • Ray J.

The worst experience ever. Walked in around 9:20pm, 40 minutes before closing time and there were many guests in the restaurant. This restaurant was already in closed mode, food table has food pieces every where, cashier did not know how to process the buy1 get 1 coupon that we received from Taste LA. Food portion was much smaller compare to other location, all tables in the dining area were dirty, food and trash on the floor.... NO going back to that location again.

Good was good here. As expected for chipotle. There chips and guacamole dip taste better here for some reason. Maybe it's just today, it just the guacamole container I got, but it was great. This place has lot of outdoor seating and some indie seating as well. When I got here at around 1:30pm the line was LONG, as expected, but the wait was not that bad, the employees did a good job of getting through everyone. The serving size of mea was adequate, I would of wanted more as usual but that's extra, which no one like paying for. Haha. All in all great chipotle for a meal.

Thank you cashier that gave me the wrong receipt and change! You never asked about the change when I told you it's the wrong receipt. Oh wells, makes up for my burrito that fell apart at each bite! :)

one word: BARBACOA. I LOOOOOVEEE their spicy shredded beef. Comes off slightly oily but balances quiter well with all the other ingredients that you stuff inside that burrito or tacos. I usually just do fajita style with cheese, mild + corn salsa, sour cream, lettuce.. and of course last but not least.. GUACAMOLE! As for the service.. it's good i guess? No complaints but as soon as you get your food.. that's pretty much it with the service lol. OOH TABASCO SAUCES: regular tabasco salsa verde.. AND CHIPOTLE! Haven't been back in a while.. but man i think it's about time i get my fix.

    (4)
  • George T.

Poor Service , they rush you when making your food , and your still by the beans in line and your food by the salsa and there yelling "what else would you want on your food".Then at the register was two girls packaging my food and they had no clue what was mine and the next customer, they had to open May food to double check and they are hard of hearing too.. Come on , this place needs more mature staff not young kids running the store, this place WAS a favorite ..... Go elsewhere.....

I visit this chipotle at least once a week and never seem to face any problems. Service is friendly and fast. The barbacoa could be cut better but besides that, they're always constant and that's what matters. The line could get long but I don't blame them, it's always worth the wait.

This chipotle is the best one in my opinion! I have been to the Santa Anita location and well and it was absolutely terrible! The line at this location is sometimes really long but the staff is very quick and you can be in and out very quickly. It is very clean inside and I have honestly never had a negative experience here. Parking lot is semi smallish but the restaurant is located within a bigger plaza of stores so there is always parking in the outer much much larger lot. All in all, most chipotles are the same but if youre not wanting to deal with mall foot and car traffic for a meal and dont mind driving a bit farther, I would suggest this location over the others! Then again, its chipotle...they don't do much wrong! Yum!

Chipotle is a popular chain restaurant in Southern California. Most college students know what it is and love it! I'm not much of a fan of Mexican Food but I love this place. I come here on a weekly basis. The line is usually long during lunch and dinner however don't be scared off because the line moves very quickly. You can choose between a burrito or a bowl. The burrito tastes better but the bowl is much easier to devour and less messy. I always get the bowl with white rice, pinto beans, steak, pico de gallo, corn, cheese and lettuce. Yum yum!! It's mouth after mouth of flavorful bites. And the pinch of added spiciness in the meat makes very addicting. If you live in Pasadena come to this one on Foothill. The one on Lake Avenue is slow and the servers portions are inconsistent which ruins the overall flavor of your order. But please excuse them they just hired new girls.

  • Carrie T.

Fantastic place for lunch or dinner! I go here almost twice a month for my chipotle cravings! It's fast food but good quality and healthier than your average McDonalds or Taco Bell. It cost almost the same...a combo meal vs. a burrito bowl. I love the fact that you see everything they put in it and you get to choose what to leave out and how spicy you want to make it. All the ingredients are fresh and their chips and guacamole is a great deal. I usually get the Steak Burrito Bowl or the steak burrito. Most of the time there's a line, but don't worry...it moves pretty quickly. parking: plenty seating: indoor and outdoor

There's a Chipotle closer to me, but My wife and I go to this one because it seems they listen to our orders better. Typically our experience is we ask for a little sour cream, and they scoop a cups worth into our burrito, making it soup. The best burrito I've ever had from any chain restaurant was made by Marissa. I'm one of those weird customers that gives specific instructions on how my burrito is made (because burritos are important to me). They nail it every time! Now I'm hungry again!

Best Chipotle! The seasoned staff is great-very friendly. Been to many of their locations, and this store has the best, most consistently yummy food. My family and I go here at least once a week. Love to get reasonably priced, responsibly raised meals. The layout of the store is not the best. When the line is long, you have to squeeze by other customers, but the staff and the food more than make up for this! Love this store!

I usually don't like reviewing chain restaurants on Yelp... But it's Chipotle. It's quite possibly my favorite fast food/chain restaurant or whatever. In n Out is a close second. Well, this is the location that I frequent, but I've been to Chipotle everywhere... they all taste the same so I guess I'm talking about all of the Chipotles out there. You guys are the best. I love you. I love you so much. The huge portions are cool. I usually get the burrito bowl, with chicken (most of the time) or steak or barbacoa. I struggle with it towards the end, but sometimes I eat half and save the rest for later. Or sometimes I just step up and eat the whole thing in one sitting. Sometimes........... Anyway I LOVE CHIPOTLE. I can't stress that enough. I don't like fast food, and usually only get fast food when I'm on a budget or have no other choice. But Chipotle.................. I can't even. Ugh. I love you

What a pig pen! Filthy everywhere. Looks like they haven't swept in a week. Clueless staff. If this was the only Chipotle, it wouldn't survive because of the uncleanliness and poor service. They are riding on the reputation of the other (mostly) good Chipotles.

Out of all the Chipotle locations, this one has got to be my favorite. The staff here love to mess around with you and make jokes. They're extremely friendly and generous. Last time I came, they filled my burrito up to the point where they couldn't even wrap it! Awesome food, awesome people.

Awesome Chipotle place! The place was very clean and great customer service. It was my first time here and it was great. I came here after hitting the gym nearby and the burrito was amazing. Would definitely come back to this establishment but I would have work out harder at the gym....

I don't understand why more people don't preorder online or use the phone app. I love ordering and paying first then skipping the long line and going straight to the cashier for pick up. This location has a lot of parking but depending on the time of day, the lot can be quite full. Thankfully I usually walk and can avoid that headache as well. I've never had a poor experience here - great food, good quality and efficient service.

This Chipotle is my favorite location around this area. I hate the Alhambra location. The service here is much better and they actually give you a decent portion. I have sent in fax orders before for a large order and everything came out correctly. It wasn't ready when I went to pick it up so I had to wait a while. My usual order is the chicken burrito bowl, no beans with hot salsa, sour cream, cheese, guacamole and lettuce. I also love their chips. They have a hint of lime flavor to them. Everything is so fresh and their guacamole tastes amazing. The line can be pretty long during lunch but they're usually pretty well-staffed. The line moves fairly quickly.

I appreciate the staff putting up with my complicated order here (3 crispy tacos, 1 chicken, 1 steak or barbacoa, 1 carnitas, hot, corn and medium salsa, pico de gallo, cheese, sour cream, lettuce, chips & guac, and rice and black beans on the side and a cup for water. Not exactly a conventional order but I never get any complaints and the portions here are generous. Thank you to all the staff (that have been working here a long time) who help make my meal great! Really recommend the black beans, they're perfectly seasoned in my opinion.

Update: I think management is reading these reviews. THIS IS A GOOD THING. I happened to be in Best Buy yesterday, and I decided to cruise by this Chipotle again, just to check up on them. I watched the assembly line actually assemble the food the way it's supposed to be done! I was so impressed that I actually ordered my food (a chicken salad bowl) and watched as they put on about twice as much chicken as I had ever seen them use in the past. Additionally, they were generous with the other ingredients as well. They did an awesome job...5 stars this visit, which averages out to three stars over the past two reviews. I will pop by again at some unknown point in the future and if they are still kicking ass, I will increase my rating. Good work guys, keep it up!

My favorite chipotle anywhere. The best time to go is between 830pm and close. There is no line and they are very generous with the toppings. They were out of chicken and told my boyfriend it would be about 5 minutes. When the chicken came out, they gave him extra. And they didn't charge me for my guacamole. Great service and great food!

We get takeout from here probably 10 times per year. Food is always good, but my goodness, the place is SO LOUD! Hard surfaces, multiple people talking at once, and loud music. Deaden the room, people. For that reason, I really dislike coming here to get the food but I am always the one designated to get the takeout.

    (3)
  • Jessie C.

It was my first time at this location. The food is same as other Chipotle location. But I was very disappointed with the service. Starting after first assembly worker, they gave me the impression that they just wanted me out of there. I ordered a burrito. Without wait until I reached the topping section, the lady with tattoo asked me what else do I want in my burrito and I told her everything. However, nothing else was put in my burrito besides salsa and spice. She wrapped it right away and skipped the corn and the lettuce. I will never come eat here again.

great customer service. I was there by myself with my dog. wanted to order to go. while i was inside waiting in line, one of the guys approached me to let me know that I can't be inside with the dog and that i need to go outside. For the inconvenience, they put the order on the house! They go above and beyond to keep the customer happy!

I LOVE CHIPOTLE. It is my all time favorite fast food. The guac is heavenly, the chicken is delicious, and now that they have brown rice, I can't find fault with the food selection (okay, maybe if they had wheat tortillas, but I digress)... So why 2 stars for this location? Design of location and speed of service. The location is designed so poorly, that if there are more than 10 people in line, and there almost always are, the line swings back not the very narrow restaurant, blocking the soda machine and the tables where people are eating. It is AWFUL. Massive crowds, on top of each other, jumbled and pushing. All of this would be fine if the line moved. But the service can be so slow that I have waited over 30 minutes just to order. This is my closest Chipotle, so I deal with it, but seriously - they need to remodel this place and train the staff to move things along.

  • Ashley V.

I love Chipotle, but this location isn't the best one. Dinner time gets super busy. Make sure to order ahead of time (online) to avoid the super long lines! I think I spent like 30 min waiting to order. The floor plan is a little awk. If you're dining inside during a time where it's super busy and there are long lines, you'll find yourself side by side with the people standing in line. It's a little uncomfortable, and a little hard to navigate around, especially if you're trying to get some hot sauces or drinks.

Your typical great Chipotle taste. However, their quality of service is certainly lacking at this location. The portions are terribly ungenerous compared to the other Pasadena Chipotle location on Lake Ave. Even during non rush-hour times they are constantly out of food and do not replace it immediately. In addition, during rush-hour times, the servers constantly make mistakes on my orders and simply dump the food back into the trays. Parking can be rough during rush-hour times too. My experiences at this Chipotle location just aren't that pleasant.

  • Chris C.

So... I enjoy Chipotle. Let's start with that. Being vegetarian, they make a solid burrito, that is quality and filling. They had a VERY SHORT run of vegetarian/vegan "meat", that ended far too soon. That was a big disappointment. Recently, I went to Chipotle twice in one week and the following occurred: 1. First trip. Half way through making my vegetarian burrito, they look up and say; "Oh, by the way, we're out of cheese". Well, that sucks. A lot. 2. Second trip (just a few days later). Half way through making my vegetarian burrito, they look up and say; "Oh, by the way, we're out of guacamole". This is honestly ridiculous. How can a MEXICAN restaurant run out of such basic ingredients?? On top of that, why isn't there a sign up at the beginning of the line SAYING THAT THEY ARE CURRENTLY OUT OF THAT ITEM!? Pretty disappointed. I don't go to any other fast food type of mexican places, and not too big of a fan of the sit down joints. Chipotle, please get your sh*t together. Thank you.

Not the best chipotle around. But it's the cloesst one unfortunately. Placed an online/app order for 5 bowls. They messed up on 4 of them. WTF mate? I purposely went in 15 mins after my scheduled pick up time to give then more time and still had to wait. Love Chipotle to death. But damn! Bleh- Herbal Tea

  • Andrew W.

So, Chipotle. Their most unique ingredient (and my favorite) is the roasted sweet corn. Apparently they realized people like it, because they don't give you as much as they used to. I ask for extra corn now, but they usually just give me a few more kernels or give me a dirty look, so -1 star for that.

  • Linda N.

I love Chipotle! Why a 3 star for this location? I received a coupon for a special for 5 items from a Corporate store. I've used these before at other locations. But, I wanted to check in with this location. The gentleman that helped me over the phone was very nice about it. The only issue I had was with my order... I put in an online order about 7:45pm on Tuesday 1/8/13. I checked out all the ingredients I would like inside of the burrito. I was informed that if I added guac on the side with a side note with the coupon, I would not get charged. If I marked it, I would get charged. After processing my order, I receive a phone call indicating two items is currently not in stock for the night. In addition, that I wrote my note incorrectly and they (a female at the register) would've to charged me about the guac. I explained her what i was taught. She kept arguing back by telling me what she knew. Which I understand. Not only that, I had to REDO my order again? Okay, so i was kind enough to redo the transaction. This time I corrected and put the guac in the order and note it to be on the side except the last one (i forgot). I got another call from the guy this time. He said I had to redo the order (i left my house already because it was already 8:10pm). I informed him that I would like all the guac on the side, extra meat (up to 3 spoons because after the 4th scoop you get charged extra) and i can't add anymore notes due to 50 max. I was getting annoyed as I explained to my brother what had happened. He said i was way too patience for this. I believe I am, but I understand the customer service industry because I work in that industry. As we arrived by 8:25pm and our was ready prior to the time listed (8:35pm after correcting it from originally 8:10pm). I go to the counter and the female (short and hispanic) assists me even though they had a semi-long line. She repeated my order and said, " ON THE LAST ORDER, YOU PUT GUAC ON THE NOTE WHEN YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO CHECK IT. I WOULD'VE TO CHARGE YOU FOR IT." My respond was," IT'S OKAY, THEN I WOULD NOT LIKE IT IF I WAS GOING TO GET CHARGE FOR IT BECAUSE I WAS TOLD I WOULDN'T." She then goes on and say I can make sure you don't get charge if you still want it. In my mind, i was not going to get charge then. So I said, "OKAY." She looks at me and ask,"So you would like it?" I respond, "Yes, if I don't get charge for it." Then she goes,"I'll HAVE TO CHARGE YOU." Alright.... I was fed up and just kindly said you just told me you would not charge me if I wanted and now you're so no thank you. She apologized for the wait but not all this misunderstandings. She mentioned she worked there for over a year and it doesn't matter because she could've avoided and mention that she would give it to us for free this time, but next time....this is how it goes. Customer service: COULD HAVE BEEN BETTER!!! 1/5 Environment: Small, but good for carryout Price: $$ (i rather go to alberto's) recommend: not this location

My favorite Chipotle! The workers are super friendly, and the food is always fresh and delicious. I love this location! The outside patio seating is absolutely perfect for when the Cali weather is treating us well! ;) I recently discovered an AMAZING creation. The Quesadilla burrito! You kind of have to explain it to them, but you won't regret it. That baby is PACKED with cheese, and all the fixins of a regular burrito. mm mm mmmmm!

I like Chipotle, but this is definitely not my number one location. I work about two miles away from here, so coworkers and I will order lunch online and pick it up around 11:45/Noon. Perhaps I see Chipotle at its worst (lunchtime rush), but it is always a zoo in there. The layout of the place does not customers anywhere convenient to line up and order. Lines of people will go from the counter to the corner of the store, take a 90 degree turn to crossing in front of the entrance/exit doors, and then continue to go right in front of the soda machines and condiment area. Although I go straight up to the register to pick up the food ordered online, it's annoying to have to cut across a line of hungry people who are up against the doors. I imagine it's equally annoying for them to have to move for me. I'm lucky we have plastic utensils in our cafeteria at work, because Chipotle either has a weird sense of humor or they're just not paying attention. I always order the salad, and have been given one knife (??) as a utensil in my takeout bag before. I've also received one spoon... Thanks but no thanks. I always write "NO NAPKINS PLEASE" on my online order, but they don't seem to notice. They always give an inch thick stack of napkins with one salad. I have begun to stockpile them at my desk and now in my car. Whenever I pick up my order, I always check to make sure there aren't any napkins. And since there usually is a big o'l stack of them, I will remove them and give them back to someone at the register. Some good things about this spot is that they have semi-dedicated parking, so it's always easy to find a spot. They also are good with getting your order right on time.

at first, i wasn't a huge fan of chipotle, but i warmed up to it over time. it was your standard college food or quick meal. i hate the fact that technically it is mexican food (or is it?) and I'm spending more than a dollar fifty for my tacos. it is what it is though, i still keep coming back. WHAT I GET: - burrito bowl: chicken, black beans, grilled peppers and onions, cilantro, mild salsa. i figure this is a "healthier" alternative. - chips: when i feel like a fatty, i order chips. the chips are delicious! they're thin, extra crispy, with a splash of citrus and sea salt. oh lord its tasty! I'VE ALSO GOTTEN: - tacos: carnitas were super tasty! - burrito bowl: vegetarian with guacamole......mmmm! SIGHTING: - i saw an asian guy working at this chipotle! i was like, whhaaattttttt? he was manning the salsa station....now I've had latinos make my dumplings at din thai fung and I've had an asian guy put pico de gallo in my burrito bowl. i feel like I've seen everything.

C'mon people! Get on board. With the singular exception to In-N-Out (which I still have no legitimate reason to back my loyalty other than good natured service and an occasional craving for their fries and shakes), I have abstained from eating any big chain fast food for over 10 years!! Watch or read Michael Pollan's stuff. It will make you stop eating non-foods too! Chipotle is all the rage (well, at least in my own head). It is the only, what I'd consider, healthy fast-food chain out there. Free-range, grass-fed, hormone free pigs, cows, and chickens...the way nature intended. But hey, if you want to stick to boot shaped nuggets, who am I to stop you?

I'm writing this review at a two for now, but depending on future experiences this may change. This location for Chipotle quickly became a favorite when I started coming to the area around a year ago. The service has always been friendly and the right speed, even on busier days. To top it off, the portions are more generous than I was used to from the Chipotle near Westchester/Santa Monica. Unfortunately, the quality seems have slowly gone downhill. First it started with more workers being on the line, then too many workers. Two people standing at every station. Twice I went in and saw the same worker break a burrito while rolling it (once each visit). Today was my most recent visit and my most livid experience yet. Once again, there were too many people working the front counter to be efficient. Even with hardly a line behind us the workers were rushing, pushing food further and further down the line. The man at the salsa station began to put salsa on my order before I even told him what I wanted. He ended up putting hot on (which I did not want) and to remedy this he scooped it off with the little side cup - cupping off some of my meat in the process. I was given the option of having them remake the whole bowl but with the rush the employees seemed to be giving each order I felt that option would result in just as bad a burrito bowl (and why waste more food than needed?). The only good thing about our visit today was the cashier. She was smiling and bubbly and seemed to recognize my boyfriend and I - they were handing out "buy one, get one" cards for the start of the new school year and the cashier said we got one because we came in so often (she told the couple ahead of us it was because they were awesome.) Here on Yelp, a 2-star review means "I've seen better." Unfortunately, the "better" I've seen came from the very same location.

I love this place, and so does my grandma!!! Grandma's commentary: "wow this is so fresh!" "I could eat this all day" "I feel like this is the healthiest fast food you can get" "Did you try the avooocadooo (she doesn't understand the concept of guacamole)" And basically, I agree! This Chipotle is as good as it gets when it comes to fast food! We always get the burrito bowl, because you seem to get more bang for your buck! little note: Don't be shy to ask for more! i alwaaaayyyssss ask for more salsa, more grilled veggies, and more lettuce! and then i take my colossal bowl of food, eat half and save the other half for the next day! Hello DEAL! other little note: Since today happens to be my grandma's birthday, and she loves this place so much, i'm going to have to call her and invite her to lunch! A perfect excuse for Chipotle!

I have been here a few times. Each time there is something to be improved. This last visit the line was about 30 people, meanwhile the staff was joking around. What was the worse part is that the meat was getting mixed. i.e. steak was found in the chicken. That's not good!

First and last time. It is essentially a "Mexican" food version of Subway. If you are trying to be "healthy" here's an idea. DON'T eat fast food. Adding lettuce and corn to a burrito is not healthier, it's filler. Cant be down with a place that charges for salsa and pico de gallo. I don't like to be herded through a queue when I'm paying for food. PASS... gas

My local Chipotle spot that I hit up monthly. The location is that of a semi-empty corner of a very busy parking lot off Sierra Madre Villa and Foothill Blvd in Pasadena. If you live closer to LA, you can easily take the Gold Line train and walk across the street to get here. Pretty cool, especially if you want your food at lunch or dinner time, when the 210 freeway gets PACKED. They have a simple, fast-casual menu scheme that any kind of eater can enjoy and not get intimidated by reading. From bowls to burritos to tacos to quesadilla and nachos(the last two on the "secret" menu) and from proteins like steak, carnitas, chicken & barbacoa available, basically everyone is satisfied. My favorite item? A chicken burrito bowl (with tortilla on the side): less rice, black beans, fajita veggies, hot salsa, pico de gallo, a light spoon of sour cream, cheese and lots of lettuce. I ask for a hot salsa on the side (for free). The tortilla & sour cream are you fattiest ingredients... so I either nix them or put it on the side to enjoy it sparingly. Remember there is a Chipotle iPhone app as well as your cell phone to call in your order before you get there. The rush hours have lines of up to 30 people at the maximum (estimate), and can ruin your appetite. PS to Tim Z., no more free student drinks.

This place is a joke. The line moves like molasses. The workers are totally disorganised and clueless. The line is always long......because the employees have no clue what's going on. After waiting 15 minutes in line and barely moving closer to order......I gave up. Chipotle.........FAIL!!!

  • Lonnie U.

Absolutely the worst Chipotle Restaurant I have ever frequented. This is the place to go for a cold burrito, a warm beer and a long line. 20 minutes in line for it. No sign of management present. 2 people making burritos, 15 customers in line and 5 Chipotle employees standing the the back room talking. The poor girl who attempted to make our burrito needed to attend "Burrito Making 101". Her burrito making attempts consistently failed. Will not ever return. By the way, this scalding review is not against Chipotle in general, just the one on Foothill Blvd. in Pasadena. AVOID IT ALL COSTS. Wow.

I like Chipotle but this location is horrible. I came on Saturday and there were no food in the containers. The server did not communicate with the cooks. All the employees were in the dining area horsing around. After waiting for twenty minutes for fresh food we left. Many other customers left as well. Just poor overall management. One star because I have to.

Always getting a great meal at these Mexican food chain places. I have never been disappointed when ordering my meals here, i usually stick to tacos or tostada salads but either way i keep it as healthy as i can. Good and friendly service..

One star was added to this review for how they were able to take orders in a timely manner. Originally, I would have scored this with two stars because I did not think the QUALITY of the way they put together my burrito bowl was all that great. I don't like it when I go to Chipotles around the state of California and I get my food just quickly tossed into the bowl half-assed sometimes too. I'm usually not one to ask for more of anything in my bowl, but I really felt jipped on how much rice, beans, and meat I was given in the beginning. When it came time for the second person to help me include the salsas, corn, lettuce, and cheese, I still felt like it was held back on (from past experiences at other locations - note: I also ate Chipotle when I was in college and I felt like back then they were so much better). Due to how my barbacoa burrito bowl was prepared, I decided that I was NOT going to add guacamole and a bag of chips (like I normally do). I was able to actually complete the entire meal (which also usually does not happen - I barely ever make a dent in it and will save the rest for lunch the next day). I'm not sure if my meal was worth what I paid this time around. :/ sad times Chipotle, sad times.

I love Chipotle, but this one is always packed. With the sort of volume they see there they ought to consider opening another one in in Arcadia/Monrovia or in Central Pasadena. Sometimes the employees handle it well, sometimes they seems to be in a collective panic. I can understand why, but that doesn't help any of this. When it gets really busy the dining area and patio can get a bit dirty from all the patrons sitting down, eating as sloppily as humanly possible, and then leaving without any consideration. Some of the people that work here seem to have checked out, they'll walk right on by the filthy tables and the black lettuce and the sour cream and guac will be dry crust when I'm getting up after finishing my meal. Oh, and by far the stingiest Chipotle in the area in terms of filling the chip bag. I'm not sure if they use a standard measurement, but this one always gives me less than I get at Azusa.

Love, love, LOVE Chipotle! Ethical, delicious and affordable food? It's rare to hit that trifecta! This is one of the few places where you can eat a vegetarian or even vegan meal and not miss the meat one bit! I eat vegan 99% of the time I'm here just because the flavors are still incredible. This location serves real margaritas which are incredibly strong! Not all locations serve them (yet) so definitely give them a shot! A quick tip: There is a long line here all day. Cut the line by using their online ordering or the smartphone ordering app. Your food will taste even better after cutting the line of 20 or so people!

The food is good as usual but the service is whatever! Small portions and they consistently mess up the order even though I'm standing right there??? I'm adding an extra star because one time the manager gave me a free bowl after he saw me waiting 20mins for them to re up on the chicken.

I love Chipotle, but this was terrible. The peppers and onions weren't cooked, there were large chunks of skin and unripe avocado in the guacamole and it took 25 minutes to get through the line while more employees jokes around than served customers. Last time I go here.

I think my first chipotle experience was a year ago? I've heard about it for a long time but i never bothered to tried it-- instead i stuck with burrito's that were "mexican" like alberto's and pepe's in Temple City. I know Chipotle isn't that authentic, but it does taste pretty damn good and it can be healthy if you make it too! Paying for the Guac isn't worth it as good as guac is... $2.... isn't worth it, that's what turned me off the first time. My friends love this place and now i'm in love with it too now that its really only $6 for a burrito + free drink (HS student ID). Normally i'll have a halfsteak/halfchicken burrito, fajita, rice, hotsauce, extra sour cream, corn, cheese and lettuce. Today i wanted to try making a huge-ass-woah-crazy-motherf*cking burrito, since i was inspired from something i saw on youtube called the "5 pound burrito" Starved myself the whole day waiting for Chipotle afterschool... Got there around 5 before a basketball game - not too many people at that time- the people were chill and nice (i told them what i was trying to do) -2tortillas (yes you can do that for free) -rice, extra rice (yes you can do that for free too) -fajita -half barbacoa/half carnitas + double meat ($2) -hot sauce, extra hot sauce -corn salsa -extra sour cream (dude was skimping on it! :( their sourcream is bombay!) -extra cheese -lettuce thing came out pretty big. next time i'll save myself the $2 and try to make it big without adding extra meat... extra cheese and hotsauce maybe? and the absolutely delicious SOUR CREAM. shit is so good. I LOVE YOU CHIPOTLE. YOU FEED ME FOR A DAY FOR UNDER 10 DOLLARS!

If i have to come to any chipotle it'd be this one. Since it's in a big plaza, the parking is easier. And I like how everything is in your face. Even when there's a line, the assembly is so fast that you are barely waiting. the big tasty portions. mmmmmmm. yum!

Food is ok. My HUGE problem was that I bought a gift card here, and then went back to use it and it wouldn't work. There was no credit on it. Now, I didn't keep my gift card receipt, weird right? But the manager was complete jerk and suggested I had a stolen card. Absoutlely ridiculous service. Very negative representation of this company. I have eaten out several, probably ten times or more EACH week for the past ten years. This ranks in the top five worst services I've ever received out of literally more than ten thousand eatery visits. Now, I'm a person, I'm logical. That person might've had a bad day. That manager might've gotten several cards stolen. That guy's family car might've gotten sugar in the gas tank. Still, the service was ridiculous. Waaaaayyy past bad service to basically be almost accused of stealing. Other Chipotles are ok. This one is struck.

Lots of parking and seating. Indoor and outdoor seating available. Fast moving and delicious. Prices are okay (somewhat pricey) The employees are hit and miss with the customer service. The food is tasty. Nice restaurant. Crowded most of the time, but like I said the line moves fairly quickly. 4 Stars

I love my Chipotle, but I just had to review this location because my last 2 visits here were beyond disappointing! The last time I was here I practically had to scream at a gal to get her attention because she was just throwing things into my burrito bowl that I wasn't asking for. Not only was she not listening but she also gave me a lot of attitude (and was not apologetic for screwing up). Anyway, there was a long wait during my last visit, so this time I tried to avoid the line by ordering online. I got to the restaurant before my pick-up time, which I apologized for, but the cashier told me they were about to start my order anyway so it'd be ready shortly. Cool (and thanks) right? No! I still ended up waiting a good 15 minutes for my order to complete, and they even pumped out another online order before mine.. though no one was there to pick it up yet. The gal filling the salsas barely filled the containers 1/3 of the way, and when I asked for more she gave me dirty looks as if I inconvenienced her. The cashier called my name to let me know that my order was ready, but when I walked up she informed me she was still waiting on my chips... so I stood there waiting some more. I've been to my share of Chipotles, but this one is definitely one of the worse in terms of customer service and efficiency. Get your act together, Chipotle! You're better than this.

You cant realy judge the food. Chipotle always tastes the same all over the US.. I wasn't a fan of the service I observed and that my husband and I received here Saturdayafternoon. A young lady worker was a bit abrupt with one older woman. She asked the woman if she wanted hot, medium or mild-- before the woman says anything she scoops hot in her bowl. The woman said "I ddint even answer yet". The woman seemed pretty pissed- though it was obviously her mistake. She was a bit abrupt and rude with my husband. She actually ignored him and then when I repeated what she said to my husband she looked at me and said "thank you" but really coldly and sarcastically. This place is across the street from my vanpool lot, so I'd likely return due to convenience. Maybe Ill have better luck on service nest time.

I call this place the Mexican Subway haha. Don't really know if there's much to review since its pretty much a fast food place, but I do know that damn, I love Chipotle. My favorite thing to order here is the burrito with carnitas, brown rice, and almost all of the topping/fillings in it. Super delicious, and based on how much they give you, the price is reasonable because the stuff here really fills you up. Ingredients seem fresh too and its nice how they make it right in front of you.

I've been craving Chipotle lately, and I've been getting it at least once a week. After work I went to this location and the line/wait wasn't that long. There were maybe 4-5 people in front of me. When it was my turn to order, the first guy seemed friendly, he smiled and was interactive enough. However, after the first person, it all went downhill. Customer service was really lacking it compared to other Chipotle locations. Everyone else was basically a robot asking what I wanted next, then rushed me to the next person. I could see that they were doing that to everyone before and after me. This rushing led to less food on my bowl, they didn't even put a whole scoop in sometimes because they weren't paying attention! I'll stick with going to the Lake(Pasadena) location due to better customer service. Even though this location is on the way home from work, it'd be worth it to go the extra few miles to Lake. Please, please, please work on customer service skills. Everyone but that first person had a frown on their face. Good food but lacked the service.

Good American Mexican food here. I love getting the bowl because my burritos usually get too big to wrap. My coworker once got a sink screen in her food which is kind of nasty but I try not to think about it. My co worker loves the barbacoa beef, I like the steak. The lime flavor chips is a nice touch.

Cheese, grilled chicken, rice, guacamole, and bean burrito: This is just one person's opinion but I'm not going to lie, this was my first burrito from Chipotle, and I was very disappointed. The person who made my burrito should be fired. The proper way to make a burrito of that size is to have everything mixed in. Not just everything somewhat mixed and then have a straight line of guacamole go from the beginning of the burrito to the end off to the side of the burrito. Considering that it was my first burrito and perhaps I was just unlucky, I felt it a bit unfair to give them a one star rating. However considering that the employees should be trained better than this (after all, they ARE serving this... Mess... To people), it makes me feel a little less bad about giving them a low rating. So in short: one star for poor employee training (or possibly negligence) and an even poorer experience, and one star for the benefit of the doubt that I may have just been unlucky and my burrito was picked up for me on my mother's return trip home from Pasadena so I didn't get the pleasure of experiencing their service. However I can safely say that I won't be trying this again. Every restaurant that I go to is allowed to make a mistake once in a while, however, it says a lot when the first time someone tries a new restaurant and has a bad experience. On a side note, the person that attempted to make a burrito, should be fired or re-trained as he/she has utterly failed at the attempt.

Every since the old manager left - an older african american gentleman, very nice - seems like the service and the quality of the food had vanished / gone down. If you go anytime after 3pm or on the weekends beware. Seems like each time I've visited after this time I've gotten cold rice and bland flavorless steak. And worse, they seem to only now give you a small portion of steak (larger if you ask for chicken) if you go during that time. The last time I went, which was a few days ago, the server gave me a small scoop of steak - I'd say about 12 pieces. Seriously. When I asked if I could have a little bit more, in my mind to at least match what they usually give, she dug the spoon back into the meat and pulled out one piece and dropped it into my bowl. I blinked and looked at her and almost walked out without the food but I admit I had a craving for it. I guess I shouldn't be too upset, honestly as I mentioned before the food was cold and bland so maybe she did me a favor. I used to love going here, had been going for the last few years - oh well.... There's always Baja Fresh.

My rating is not based on food. It is based on service! This past Sunday I stood in line for 20 mins as they only had TWO people working the line. How do you only have TWO people working the line when the line is almost out the door? I have been here before during the week when they ran out of guacamole! This is the slowest moving Chipotle in the area but it is also the closest, so I'm at a loss. It's pathetic that I have been standing here for 5 minutes with barely any movement! Why didn't I order online? I must admit the best and only way to come here is to order online!

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
