My husband took me out for dinner last night and we came here. Its always nice going during the week because there is little to no wait, last night there was no wait. We were seated and started looking thru the menu. Our waitress, Kelly, brought us our drinks and bread super fast, by the time she came back with that we placed our order. We were having our soup and salad and my husband's drink was about half empty and Kelly brought him a refill. My salad needed a little more dressing so I asked for a little extra and within 1 minute she had it at the table. Our food came out and our steaks were perfectly cooked and the best tasting we have ever had! We will definitely go back and request that Kelly be our server, she was AMAZING! The best service we have ever had, hands down!

Went here for dinner tonight with the family. Upon entering I noticed how hot it was- that should have been our first clue to a terrible dinner. It was like the AC went out and it was 97 degrees today! We ordered the blooming onion and it was WAY too salty. So bad we couldn't eat half of it. My husbands "dinner" turned out to be an appetizer which wasn't stated on the menu. It was seriously like a 3 bite meal. I felt so bad for him. My chicken was way grossly over-salted too. I'm swelling up as I write this review. The real reason I won't be returning- after our server took the payment he dropped it off in the back and came back out to take the order of the next table. He then proceeded to sit down with them while the woman literally ordered like the entire menu it seemed. They then talked extensively about the dumb menu. Mind you, it had to be at least 90 degrees in the restaurant and I'm sitting here sweating. 10 min later he got up, dropped off their order and brought me back my credit card. Who does that?! Terrible servers do. No thanks! Won't be back here again.

I went in today Sunday August ninth. We took our dad out to lunch for his birthday. We got in when they opened at noon. When we sat down our server, her name was Patricia, took our drink orders. I ordered a mule and she asked to see my id all normal. But then she asked me to verify my birthdate. I've never been asked to do that before. I did thinking whatever no big deal. Then my brother also ordered a drink and he didn't get carded at all. Then she was about to walk away without even taking my dads drink order! Anyway, I noticed next to us a party of seven sat down. We had ordered an appetizer and we got the appetizer at the same time as our drinks. Ridiculous. Here at I know outback that we get bread after we order. We had basically eaten the app and she still had not come back to take our order, but I did notice she had taken the huge parties order and given them three loaves of bread. Wtf. When I noticed a different server walking by, I asked if she could find our server so we could order. We were on a time crunch because my dad has to work today. We ordered and along with my brothers order he also ordered a sprite. Our server, Patricia, was finally coming to give us bread but she didn't have a board. She said " oh you don't have a board. Be right back" Also that one loaf of bread was the only one we got. The big party next was on their fifth loaf(my brother was counting) While we were waiting for our food, my dad asked for refill on my moms lemonade. As Patricia was walking away I reminded her my brother still hadn't gotten his sprite. She brought the drinks and gave me the sprite! She also never offered to refill my drink, I got the feeling that she didn't approve of me drinking. Are you serious? I'm 23. From the time we ordered to when we got our food it took 50 minutes. My sandwich was cold on the inside and my fries were lukewarm. I decided to just box up my sandwich and warm it up at home because, like I said, we were on a time crunch and my dad has to work today. At the end, my brother ended up having to ask the hostess for our check because we couldn't find our server!! There was never a mention of how was your meal? Or how is everything? Nothing. I felt bad for my dad. When he gets home from work I'll take him somewhere else for his birthday to make up for it.

Seated right away at 5:30 for dinner. Walked straight into the men's room to wash my hands. Odd setup with a washroom and then another door into the actual bathroom, probably from the weird design that allows people from the dining room to see into the bathroom when the door opens. Washroom was found littered with paper towels all over the floor, they must have had a rowdy lunch crowd. Service and food was good and cooked to order. Only major complaint and pet peeve observed was while we were completing our bill a server with a tray full of food walk to a nearby table and the hair from the side of her head actually touching and laying on one of the food plates. She set the portable tray stand down and leaned down next to the table setting the food down on it still with her hair on the plate. We didn't mention it to our waitress because I don't know how the people couldn't have notice since it was so obvious. I have seen this happen at many other dining places and drives me crazy. Stay observant.

Way over priced! The customer service is really good. The waitress does take her sweet time serving you, but i personally think it is because she had too many tables. The food portion doesn't live up to the price you paid. I gave it four stars because my brother enjoys steak and loves this place. And i like how when you walk through the door, there are always two girls to hold the door open for you and greet you. The place is really clean.

Don't waste your time eating here anymore it used to be good but It's not anymore. It hasn't been for a couple of years . Waste of your hard earned money . Just read most of the reviews . Lousy food period , but you can take a chance but most likely you'll send it back . Manager is a deer in headlights and I'm out 61 dollars . Why am I making a PBJ 2 hours later , because my dinner was a rip off.

Hello everyone. Personally I like this outback because I have not had any problems with the service thud far. The food is great and service is good too. I've always had some great and attentive servers at this location and there was only one time where they have told me that they ran out of wings which is always a bummer to hear.... This locations is very clean and like most Outback restaurants can get very packed on Fridays and the weekends. Absolutely love the prime rib here! And for those of you who don't know there is still the Outback Style Prime rib where they put spices on the meat then sear it giving it such an awesome flavor!!!! BUT make sure you take into consideration that it is cooked a little more. For example I usually like the prime rib ti be medium so I would order it medium rare so when they are done searing they steak it will come out medium! Have fun everyone!

3 words... not worth it. One, we ordered a blooming onion and received it where parts were still battery and not fried. Two, they spilled my mums soup on her. Three, my chicken sandwich had black avocado, old bacon, and the chicken itself was cold... oh my bun was stale as well. The service was horrible, they sat us on the opposite side of the restaurant than where literally all other guest sat because I had a baby. The waitress never came back with our food we had to ask another one to get it, which is probably why my nasty sandwich was so cold. Not updated menus that go with the lunch specials advertised... Not worth it.

We come here fairly often and they always seem to get it right! I had the Teriyaki Rib-eye on their suggestion, and it was wonderful. For the sides, I always choose the French Onion Soup and the Sweet Potato. The perfect meal each time. It is a bit loud in there, but it's always crowded. If you happen to get there when it's not very crowded, you may notice that the music is turned up a bit loud to compensate for the normally loud crowd.

Ok first let me say I LOVE coming here on Fridays for the CHOWDA! It's the best the AV has to offer. It's fresh with just the right consistency. My mother in law and I come on Fridays for happy hour. Kinda of our thing. Well in this last particular visit I came across an issue that we've never experienced before. We were greeted by the hostess who was somewhat pleasant and seated us right away stating our server would be right with us. After 18 min (yes I timed it) no one came to the table and the hostess sat another party behind us and took their drink and appetizer orders before they could put their purses down. I'm like HELLO we've been here 20 min and no one has come over. Why didn't she take our order while we wait. Ok another 5 min go by and my patience had ran out. I knelt on the seat to look over the high wall to see if everyone had gone to lunch and where our mystery server was. At that point another waitress spotted me and came over to tell us she had just been given my table when I stood up and made myself noticed. ( there were only 4 other parties). We placed our order and I asked to speak with the manager. He came to our table I explained the situation and he was extremely professional and apologetic. The rest of our lunch carried on without a hitch and to my surprise the manger discounted our bill. I appreciate that however I did not notify him for a discount. I want equal treatment when dining in the establishment. I will be back on Friday of course and hopefully they'll remember we were seated.

We were here on 4/18 at around 9pm, and I'm hoping it was because it was latter in the evening that our food sucked. My husband had the ribs, shrimp and chicken. The sauce was thrown on as an after thought. His ribs were burnt, his chicken was chewy and his shrimp was.. ok. I had the steal and lobster and a baked potato. My steak was cooked med rare, which came out fine. No seasoning on the steak, and although it was supposed to be 6 oz, it seemed shrunken, as did my lobster tails (two tiny ones, probably not even 4oz worth). My steak although cooked to my order had no taste to it. I had to get steak sauce for any kind of seasoning. My mother, who had take use to dinner that night had the same thing as me and order veggies instead of a potato. She decided after she got her steak that it was a little to rare for her, so she asked for it to be cooked a little longer. The brought it back burnt. Her veggies we WAY under cooked and she barley ate anything. She later brought her meal home for my dogs (who loved it!). Their only stars our for our waitress Patty, who was very nice and the drinks that she recommended to us. I forget what the name of it was, but it was moonshine with berries. I've never been so disappointed with an outback before.

We went in last night for dinner, and it was our first time here in a while. We noticed that the restaurant had been remodeled, and it looked nice. We waited about 10 minutes for our server to take our drink order (this may not have been her fault, since we didn't see servers anywhere during this time). Once our server came, she was very nice and attentive. The problem was the food. We got the half order cheese fries, which unfortunately was the highlight of the meal. My side salad had some frozen lettuce in it, and my ribeye had to go back because it was under. When it came back, I ate most of it, but it was over cooked and had way too much pepper. My husband got the ribs with the steakhouse mac and cheese. The ribs were fine, but the mac and cheese was so salty that he couldn't finish it. If you knew how much my husband loved mac and cheese, you would understand how unusual that is! I also noticed that my favorite menu item, the Queensland salad, was no longer on the menu. My husband and I have small children at home, so we are only able to go out to eat about once a month, but I don't think we'll be spending our rare date nights at Outback anymore. We have been regulars at Outback for years, but the quality has gone down and the prices have gone up. Just not worth it anymore.

Let me start off by saying I enjoy outback. I always have, I think they serve good food at a medium price consistently across the country. That being said this location was not the greatest. overall the food was cooked well on everybody's plate but the service was atrocious. Our waiter never refilled or drinks rushed us through ordering. Our server spent the entire evening talking to his roommate instead of serving us our drinks and making sure we had everything we needed. Then we had to ask him for the check multiple times

Always get a warm greeting at the front door , especially by Emma the hostess. This is a great place if you're looking for a steak. Also has delicious appetizers and adult beverage's.

The two star are for the service we had. The drinks where over loaded with ice. I order the steak and all you can eat shrimp for $18.99 that was on TV for $15.99 but they do participate in the TV commercial. My steak was the size of a half dollar and very tuff. The shrimp was over cooked. If you want a good meal this isn't the place for you.

We came here on a Thursday night about 5:30. Just in time for the Happy Hour specials. I started out with a Sauza Gold Coast 'Rita on the rocks. My wife and I split a Garlic Parmesan Fries appatizer. The margarita was perfect - I had to order another one. The fries were good as well. For the main course, there were so many different combination choices, I had a hard time deciding. I ended up choosing the Filet Mignon - medium rare of course - with a loaded baked potato. For the salad, I asked for bleu cheese dressing. Upon hearing this, the waitress suggested the Bleu Cheese Wedge Salad. This turned out to be delicious and an excellent suggestion by the waitress. My wife ordered the Alice Springs Chicken. She had requested several ingredients be left off. Our waitress was very attentive without being intrusive. When ordering, she was very knowledgeable about what was being served, answered all my questions about the various entrees I was interested in, and made appropriate recommendations. I must mention, I hate suggestive and upselling. This did not seem to happen here. If it did, the way it was only done when appropriate. I wish more places did it this way. When I ordered a salad and asked for bleu cheese dressing, she suggested the Bleu Cheese Wedge Salad. I did, and it was an excellent recommendation. When ordering the filet mignon, she never try to upsell me on the any "toppers." It may be the fact that I ordered my steak medium rare and suggesting such toppers would be an abomination. I would have liked to have seen what would have happened if my wife ordered the filet mignon. It brings a tear to my everytime she orders steak. Her requested doneness: well. If she would have, I may have suggested she order some toppers if the waitress did not. When the meal arrive I immediately cut into my steak to determine its doneness. It was textbook medium rare. My wife's meal arrived just as requested. Overall this was an excellent experience - and I am not one who really enjoys dining at chain restaurants. The price point is appropriate for what you receive. For us however, the price point would make it not a place to take our three little munchkins. It was an excellent choice for our sppecial occasion date night for the wife and I. Outback exceeded our expectations.

My wife and i had dinner here tonite, seating was quick, service was on-spot and the setting was what i expected. Food was subpar, i was surprised cause it never was before. I wrote a tip about the Lobster Appy tonite, seems from what i gathered from the manager that the kitchen throttles back on the ingredients, especialy the lobster or crab mixes, i was told that they prepare in house the shellfish offerings, but they give the customers much less of the shellfish, namely the lobster and crab. I ordered the talapia with crab covering, even that was sparce of crabmeat. A word of advice to others... Really look at your food they present, its less of what you Pay For than you think. Corporate must be demanding they cut back, and they do. BE ADVISED.....We will eat somewhere else and try them out...Stay Tuned!!

Disappointed. If you can't grill a steak without necessitating the use of taste-bud killing sauces (A-1), then I just need to done on steak elsewhere . The Problem: I ordered my steak , "Classic Style" with specific request of "I want to be able to taste the seasoning" When my steak arrived .....no seasoning to be tasted- just a plain slab of meat seared on steal surface. Informing my waitress of such her reply was only "Oh" as if not hearing me and thinking "everything is fine" No, no it wasn't . I ended up requesting a portion of their seasoning salt so I can add it to my steak- after it was cooked- joy. My steak was a good cut, and tender,- to their credit, which is why I didn't rate 2 stars.

It was pretty bad, three of the the four plates ordered at the table were returned for adjustments. My steak which I requested medium came out medium well so I sent it back. The second attempt was medium rare more rare than medium to boot. At that point I just gave them their steak back and decided two attempts were enough. I retuned the meal and went on my way. No discounts were given for the errors until my friends asked, not that it mattered to me since I returned my meal. The negative experience was enough to ensure I send a complaint to their corporate office. Also I arrived at 3:00 and we left at 4:40. Oh yeah the manager didn't come by till we asked for him.

Had dinner tonight(Friday) at Outback, My bf is a big fan but I had never been. The steak was good but I have to say I'm only on here because our server Brandy was amazing. She made the dinner memorable...even after I spilled my drink. I'm coming for the bread and Brandy (not in a sexual way).

We were seated quickly and it was clean but, the food was boring and the meat was over cooked. This was our 1st time visiting this location and probably our last. I could have ordered a better steak sandwich from Panera Bread.

Four of us ate "steak and lobster" there on July 16th. The worst restaurant meal ever. The lobster tails were crawdad size, skinny and undercooked. The filet steak was tough and overcooked. Service was adequate, but the food was awful.

I have been to this outback location and quite a few others over the years. This location isn't much different than any of the rest. Some of my experiences have been really good and others not so good. Tonight they did not cook anyone in our party's steak correctly. They did comp one of our meals but I would much rather have a delicious steak.

  • Monique Renea N.

The only reason why I eat here now is because of the crab stack, it it's beyond delicious. The one thing I thought would be amazing was my steak but I have given this place multiple chances and each time they mess it up. Under cook where blood is oozing on my plate or over cooked where you have to cut it in tiny pieces and still chew it a million times. That's it no more freaking outback for me.

    (2)
  • Mandy O.

I am not a huge steak lover, but I am a big lover of Outback's bloomin onion with their delicious tangy doing sauce. The onion is caked on panko crumbs and each time you have one it's just as good as the last. The service here is decent, not up to my standards with checking a few times for drink refills particularly, but other than that I'd give it about a 3.5. It's not terrible, but it's not great either. This time I tried the Chicken and Artichoke Flatbread thinning out would be similar to other flatbread. Unfortunately the pizza crust came out so think and crispy, out was like eating out on a chip. The cheese, artichokes and chicken were great, but the flatbread was a little too flat for my liking.

Dinner was very good. But drinks took a long time and it's dead so I'm not sure about that but brandy our server made it right and was very friendly and in a great mood. Steak was cooked great and my lobster was pwrfect along with my wine (chard) was yummy.i shall return.

I love this place. Great bar crowd, fun place to be. Waitress might of been more loaded then me, but I really liked her service. I got the steak and crab legs. Love all of it. The only was I ordered shock top and was serviced blue moon. Which isn't a huge deal.

I haven't eaten at an outback in a really long time and was surprised. My steak was cooked perfect. I also tried the new coconut battered lobster. It was ok. It was a little over battered and I would have preferred it if it just regular. I would pass that next time. Other than that everything was really good.

Steaks cooked wrong for each of us. We complained and asked the waitress to make changes -- with a huff she gets a manager and he simply looked confused as to why we complained and took $5.00 off our bill. Neither of us had the steak we ordered (6oz fillet and 9 oz fillet) but still had to pay. NEVER again eat in Palmdale!!!! Goodbye outback -- very rude and expensive service and not the food we ordered. And to top it off she asked if we wanted it to go since we didn't eat it. Ha!

I heard that Outback started opening early on the weekends so I decided to stop by for lunch. I arrived right when they opened at 12:00 noon and the first thing that I noticed when I entered was that it was very dark. I was brought to a table and there was a light right above it that was giving off a faint glow, a candle would have provided more light. I had trouble seeing the menu it was so dark. As my eyes adjusted to the dimness I could start to make out what was on the menu and it appeared that the lights were slowly growing brighter. It looks like they are using the energy saving bulbs that need to warm up. Maybe they should turn the lights on earlier or hand out flashlights when you enter. Anyway after I became acquainted with the cave like dimness of my surroundings and could now see enough to read the menu I decided on a half rack of Baby Back Ribs for $10.99. The server who I should say was nice and attentive took my order and soon returned with my drink and asked if I would like some bread to which I said yes. The server returned with the bread which is a small loaf served on a cutting board with a knife and some butter. The bread was warm and tasted fresh. After about 10 minutes the ribs were brought to my table and they were quite good, the meat was tender and had a good flavor. The ribs come with fries and those were pretty good too.

The food here is pretty good. They could do larger portions though for the price they charge. They do know what a RARE steak is unlike some places. They serve some good strong beverages here as well. The staff is always pretty nice.

We always have a pleasant experience at Outback... our steaks were great.. ribs were great... we also had the flat bread... salads and potatoes were all great... sometimes the service lacks a little but there always friendly...its not Ruth Chris but it is a great steak for the price...

I really didn't want a meal on my first visit here, since I wasn't really all theta hungry. I ordered a burger and it was huge. Honestly.... I came for the bread and chocolate cake. I always love the warm bread but I remember it being a bigger loaf. But they do offer you more after you finish. The burger was good, they cooked it well but it was just over whelming. I was a little disappointed with the chocolate cake. It was so thick and rich and massive. I'm just one of those people that like the light fluffy cake and not the heavy stuff. The raspberry sauce that comes with it was delicious though. Service was incredible. My waitress was the nicest lady. I watched her talk to other customers as I waited for my food and she just made the room light up. She was cheery and welcoming and really seemed to build a relationship to all her customers.

Tried their new calamari last night. We won't be ordering that again. It was over cooked, over salted and looked like a little baby boy's removed foreskin on the plate.

Ordered the tuscan ribeye(special). Very tender and juicy steak. Could have been better seasoned but service was amazing. Drinks were flowing, conversation was great. Garlic mashed potatoes were yum and so was the fried shrimp and lobster bites.

I know it's a chain restaurant but one thing I can count on here is consistency! This Outback is located in the Antelope Valley Mall area on the outside and it is a free-standing location. Parking is usually not an issue when you get here early but there is parking across the street in the mall parking lot just in case. My biggest complaint is that they don't open until 4pm on the weekdays and 12pm on the weekends. They close early too. Customer service is typically spot on for us every time we visit! Our steaks are almost always cooked the way we like them not to mention they are so juicy and tender. They taste delicious. Same goes for any appetizers or soup/salad we order. Consistency is what makes me keep coming back! There are not many steakhouses out on the west coast so I'm sure the chain restaurants do quite well. I would like to see more out here though. If we are looking to have a nice steak dinner locally then we either hit up Outback or Broken Bit (located in Quartz Hill). Check them out, they are local. We support both! All others do not compare!

We had been on the road for most of the day when we arrived in Palmdale very hungry right after their closing time. They were very nice & kept the door open for us. For that alone, they deserve a HUGE kudos. Our server, Antoinette, was really nice & patient as we ordered our much needed sustenance. The coconut encrusted shrimp appetizer she recommended disappeared within seconds!! So delicious. We kept them open until an hour after the closing time but they were so nice throughout! Highly, highly recommended. Especially Antoinette!

The steak at this restaurant was below-average. Server was a bit annoying in the sense that she kept trying to push the "add ons," like drinks, appetizers, and desert. If I say I don't want it, don't come back five minutes later asking if I want more. I don't want it! In any case, the steak was blah. The steak tasted like you got the folks who stand in front of Home Depot all day to make it. Sad because the price wasn't that cheap either.

Caesar Salad was amazeballs. I order a Caesar just about everywhere and this one wins. Wins it all. Ok, on to the rest of the meal: I ordered a 20oz Porterhouse Medium-Rare Wood - Fired and Aussie Fries. I finished it. Yeah, ALL of it. It was sooooooo good. Oh yeah, then I ordered dessert for the hubby and me. You're probably wondering how much I weigh. The answer is: I work out so I can eat. Back to the dessert...they have BLUE BELL Ice cream. NO, not Blue Bunny. Blue BELL. Aka the King of All Ice Creams. If you've lived here all your life you've never had Blue Bell and I suggest you get your fanny over here RIGHT NOW. Honestly, I never thought that a chain restaurant would get 5 stars from me, but here it is. You've earned it, Outback.

Outback Steakhouse not only offers amazing good, but outstanding service. I've gone at different times of day and it's always a great experience from beginning to end. My favorite meal is the Alice's spring chicken, who doesn't love bacon and cheese? I also love their Caesar salad it has a nice kick to it not overwhelming to it. Make sure you make reservations for weekend evening if you have a big party so they can accommodate you, it is worth it. This outback also offers to go I do believe.

Way to ruin a valentines! This review is for the cubrside pickup only. I placed an order, and showed up a few minutes before the set pickup time. We were not given items I paid for and the food was DREADFULLY cold. Everything we got ended up needing to go into the microwave to make it even remotely edible. If getting in and out of the mall area again wouldnt have been more miserable, I would have returned it all and demanded my money back. Do not order curbside from this place, its a waste of money and the staff couldnt careless that your food is not there and cold. We will not be going to this place ever again.

    (1)
  • Jenn S.

Yuck! The portions are tiny, the food is over cooked. I ordered a drink from the bar which tasted like medicine. The waitress was not friendly. I'd much rather eat at black Angus.

  • Jim R.

What else can I say about this well-established chain but... meh. It just isn't good - I've been her a few times with friends and family, and every time it has been a disappointment. The food is just straight up bland - I can go to Vons, pick up a steak, and grill it with absolutely no seasoning, and it'd taste like an Outback steak. The prices are ludicrously high for what you get; subpar steak and deep fried junk. If you're in Palmdale, go elsewhere - Steer-N-Stein is off of Palmdale Blvd and the Broken Bit is in Quartz Hill. For similar prices you can easily get better food, with better service, elsewhere.

Food tasted good, but the portion size for the steak and lobster dinner was so small my steak was literally rolling off the plate as it was the size of a golf ball. The lobster was the size of a shrimp. I would be embarrassed to offer it to customers and charge them $20. I won't go again. The AV doesn't seem to have good dinning. They all suck.

Have to tell you, the outback in Palmdale, CA has the rudest staff with the worst service I have ever encountered in a restaurant. My parents and I went there today to drink some beer, have some burgers and watch the dodgers playoff game. Had a hard time getting the staff to turn on the game in the first place and then the manager decides that he wants to turn on the 49ers football game. After we complain to him about it, the bartender starts gossiping about us to the two customers who asked for the 49ers game. People will be people, but your employees should have enough tact to at least not talk loud enough to be overheard. I will never eat in an Outback again.

I love coming here but only once in a whole I like to go when business is slow so I can savor the taste of the steak and enjoy a conversation. Our waitress was great very attentive and very informative with the menu . All the times I've been here I have never complained about a thing . Good steaks ;) yummy

Good grilling right now. It's a Wednesday and deathly hot in this valley. Summertime commuting is daunting when there's little in a little town. Grilled chicken offering w/ steamed veggies is a midweek special and we took it despite the scorching weather. Keep up the goods, Palmdale Outback!. You may have a grip on the city's scant food culture if quality prevails while so many continue to disappoint. Currently rubbing satisfied belly. Four stars leaves room for excellence. Please pat your chef on the back. Thanks

I have fond memories of Outback, I used to go here alot several years ago with my ex-boyfriend and we would always get the same thing..the Outback special medium rare followed by a Chocolate Thunder from Down Under brownie thing that we shared, as if that makes it better. At any rate, my co-worker wanted to come here yesterday because they had a drink she liked..the Wallaby Darned. I have not been to an Outback in several years I think so I wasn't sure what to expect. The service was very good, our waitress was super friendly and attentive. The menu has not changed to drastically, I did try a Vodka fruity spritzer thing which I enjoyed...and I got my old standby which I was happy with and for under $15 for a 7 oz steak it's a pretty good deal. And yes, we got the brownie and it was as decadent and totally sinful as I remember.

Disgusting!! We waited for 15 min for someone to take our drink order. The bread arrived after our appetizer and salad. My daughter ordered a lobster tail and it was brown and smelled terrible. The waitress spilled drinks on my niece and when the busboy came to wipe up the mess she lied and said she didn't spill it on anyone. The salad was wilted and brown. Overall one of the worst dining experiences I've had. I would NEVER come back here!!!! The service stinks worse then the lobster!!

Service was great, but the hubby & I tried the Great Barrier Eats... probably should have just stuck to the main menu. The crab legs were so dry and chewy I was turned off to the whole plate. And the steak was ice cold. The manager was nice enough to waive one of our two meals even thought we ordered the same exact thing and they were both equally awful.

Simply the Best SteakHouse in A.V , Your Steak will be on the rare side (Traditional Steakhouses do cook to the rare side), I like my steak Medium,so I inform the server, to make mine a little past medium,so that it comes out a perfect medium. The Teriyaki Ribeye steak is my Favorite. I don't like salad's.. Outbacks salad Rocks, their croutons are Awesome. Cheese fries are Awesome (ask for extra Bacon). We go here for all our Birthday's, and Special Celebrations. I have been going here ever sinced they opened, and have never,( I mean Never !!) been disapointed. I can only imagine that the Bad Reviews must be the Competition's staff and family. Because the only other SteakHouse(B.A.) in A.V is a Dive.

The food was good, the server was not. Ordered a beer, 20 minutes later she told us they were out of that beer. The server seemed to have an attitude the whole time and that was a bummer. Everything else was good and the host and bar service was good. I would recommend, just luck of the draw for your server.

My wife and I were pleasantly surprised at how well everything went at our visit "Down Under" to the Outback Steakhouse. From the ease of finding a parking spot, to the staff opening the doors for us, to the friendly and efficient service, to the food and carryouts of food, we were impressed at how well our visit turned out. I'd never been here before, and she'd been here many years ago. The first thing that hits you is the warm wood decor from top to bottom. Very pleasing to the eye, and spotlessly maintained. The booths are with seat cushions, removable if desired, and the table is not fixed to the floor, a plus. The complimentary wheat bread with butter is a nice start, and was a smaller portion than you'd get at other restaurants. No biggie as we were interested in ordering two Outback Specials. These we got in the large 12 ounce size, together with salad and sweet potato complete with honey and brown sugar for my wife, and french onion soup and garlic mashed potatoes for me. The salad had oh so soft in your mouth croutons - wish supermarkets knew how to make them this good - which were to die for then and there. The rest of the salad didn't disappoint either. I'm no big fan of sweet potatoes, but my wife loved eating hers. The french onion soup is by the book, with real cheese added - the creamy soft stuff, not any imitation - and it became denser as the soup cooled down as it should. A nice thick layer of cheese. Real onions in the soup. . . someone went to culinary school to do this. Kudos! The garlic mashed potatoes had garlic and parsley flakes interspersed, and was delicious. The steaks were thick and juicy. We ordered ours rare and medium rare, and they were cooked as we had ordered them. Pink where we wanted it! We recommend the woodfire grilling of them with oak - delicious out of doors backyard barbecue flavor. The food on the plates was appropriately hot. The china plates were not hot to the touch upon the waitress leaving them on the table, and she pointed that fact out to us. My wife had a glass of wine which was thankfully priced reasonably for about $5. We didn't have room for dessert, but ordered for takeout the Thunder Down Under brownie with ice cream and whipped cream for splitting in two later (the calorie count is rather high with this one, so be aware). All in all a delightful visit, and one we would do again!

As far as food, it's like any other Outback. Good and tasty. What really stood out from this Restaurant is the service. Since we walked in the customer service was phenomenal. Our server was excellent! very comfortable ambiance over all, and I loved the fact how once they see you approach the door when you're leaving they rush to open the doors for you. It's that extra step that made my experience here great.

We ate here last night and had a really enjoyable experience. We were able to call ahead and they set aside a booth for us. Our server was very friendly and pleasant to be around. Our drinks came out quickly, as well as appitizers. I had the Ahi-tuna salad, which I really reccommend. It was a good size salad with a light wasabi dressing, (really refreshing). The two others that I was with both had steaks and enjoyed them as well. Altogether a very good dining experience. The restaurant was clean, the server was friendly and the food was great!

I have been here a few times, and its my least favorite location. With the exception of the very nice heavy set Hostess, the employees here are all below average in service, and the kitchen crew sucks. I ordered a Burger the last time, always well done because I look at pink as being like blood...it was pink and possibly bloody :/ Very grossed out. The last experience was 1 Star, but giving 2 Stars since the other two times were a little better.

My family came here to celebrate mothers day. First thing I noticed about this restaurant was how clean it was. It was really clean and I liked that. Our waitress was very friendly and efficient. Our food came out and my steak I ordered medium well was still red and bleeding, my son ordered a hamburger well done and that was also pretty raw in the middle, my daughter and husband both had chicken that was over cooked and dry. Besides that all of the food was super salty. When our waitress checked on us, I asked to have my steak and son's burger cooked longer, she did it with no hesitation and she immediately notified the manager. The manager was also very friendly and professional. He gave us a free sampler dessert and did not charge us for mine or my son's meals, as well as a $10 off coupon for our next visit. It seems like the employees are great but the food could be better.

Great, tasty, Teriyaki Ribeye steak. Consistently good. One of my favorite places to go when I feel like having a great steak.

Just a normal Outback Steakhouse just as you would expect. The highlights are the service and the speed of the food. The service is outstanding and the food came out right as the appetizer was almost finished, the timing was impeccable. When I feel like going to Outback I will be going here!

My family and I come here a lot. They are always friendly the food is above average. I really have no complaints it's a fun place to go. There's not much to do in the desert but eat so this is the place to come. Enjoy!

I gave Outback five stars because as far as the Antelope Valley goes this is the best steak you can possibly get! I usually have the Filet Foccacia sandwich, but sometimes I mix it up and have a steak, or something different. I'm always satisfied when I have a meal at outback!

If there is a place in the Antelope Valley that reminds me of Cheers in the old sitcom, The Outback in Palmdale is it. Spending time away from home for a week and more at a time forces you to make the best of it and finding a friendly, reliable place helps a lot. The food is above average and consistent, the decor is warm albeit basically the same as in ANY other Outback in the U.S. and the staff are friendly and willing to joke and laugh. Special shout outs to Roberto who keeps my beer mug full and Holly who is always laughing and, I will admit, I have had a crush on since first visiting here. I have never had a bad meal or a bad drink here... Whether it be The New York Strip, Salmon, The Outback Special steak or the Queensland salad with the house mustard vinaigrette... or the Outback Amber Ale or vodka tonics (Holly pours a strong one). So if somehow you find yourself on the edge of the Mojave, there are some friendly people at The Outback ready with good food and drinks.

The food is excellent and so is the service. We have been to several Outback Steakhouse locations and they are all great. We go there for many of our special occasions and when we feel like treating ourselves. Outback is our favorite steakhouse.

Hellooo... Steakhouse ... doesnt that mean the steak should be amazing?! Of course.. but it was not in this case.. my sisters was not cooked the way she asked, my husbands was like tasteless and soggy.. pretty gross.. service was all right. Took a while to get attention but still okay. THe promotions you see on tv are not for all areas.. especially not CALIFORNIA!!! So say it damm it!! Why do you use false advertisement to get us in there.. I will not be going back.. unless its free.. and even then ill give it a second thought.. the drinks were okay.. but thats the only thing that gives this place a STAR!!

I cannot believe that desert people have rated this food an average of four stars. I've been here three times now and have been awfully disappointed every time. The meat (whether you get fish, chicken, or beef) is salty beyond tolerable. Last visit, the waitress messed up my wine order and she didn't even know that the wine I asked for was on the list. I ask you, Outback, how can your wait staff not know the wine list??? At least the service is consistently friendly, but I still left wondering whether I should throw up the food so I don't have to have the calories wasted on that nasty nasty. I will not be eating here ever again. YUCK!!

It's not the good food that's important to here. It's the series of consistent regulars and friendly staff that make this place a pleasure to visit. Sit at the bar and everyone knows each other and every member of the staff. Another reviewer mentioned it being like Cheers. That person is dead on!

Food has always been real good, the staff is very nice and friendly, other restaurants in the area should take notes on how to treat the customers because this place knows how! For me the Melbourne porterhouse is the best!!!!

Very crowded and long wait to get seated. After 20 minutes we finally recieved our drinks. 20 minutes after that we finally got to order. Our waiter kept disappearing for about 20 minutes at a time. He. would come back saying he was in the back looking for something.... When our food arrived, we had been seated for over 45 minutes. It was good. Cooked like we had asked. After we finished eating we had to wait another 20 minutes for our waiter to come back for our check. We were at Outback for 2 hours! Overall food was fine but not worth our time to go back in the near future.

I have ALWAYS had an excellent meal at Outback Steakhouse from the porkchops (my husband's favorite) to the Seared Ahi. The service is great and the bar is just like Cheers...it's the best bar in town with the best bartenders in all of the Antelope Valley!
