Wonderfully unpretentious and lively! Lowbrow, kitschy, and fabulous for both young and older bar patrons! Live music encourages dancing, and the clientele go for it! The fries are fantastic, as well as the burgers. If anything I'd just recommend less rice/fries as a side! It took me a moment to settle into the atmosphere, but once I noticed how much fun the people were genuinely having, I couldn't help but wander into it myself!

David, one of the owners and bartenders is a very nice guy. I found a moneyclip/wallet full of money and cards on the ground on the smoking patio and gave it to him. He look at me surprised (not many people will turn in a wallet at a bar) and showed his respect by covering most of my tab. He didn't see who claimed the wallet or else he would have told him who turned it in but at least he got his wallet. This was my second time going there, my friends band played both times. Good drinks and the burgers are delicious and the kitchen is open till midnight.

I love Pour House. It's such a casual bar where the old and young hipsters come to hang out. Heck, I even celebrated my birthday here, last year! The drinks aren't that expensive and they sometimes have a good selection of craft beers on the menu. Come on Sundays for Karaoke nights!

Old Fashion- Makers Mark with the perfect amount of everything else. Including 1 big cube of ice and NOT a maraschino cherry. Moscow Mule- Tito's vodka. Perfect amount of everything. Environment- Fun with a pool table. Music-GREAT! Classic rock. Bartender- super nice. Prices- right on. Did not try any food but looked good. Dive-y: yes- that's a good thing. Love the copper bar.

Dogs, and kids, and cigarette smoking ... oh my! It was Mother's Day mid-afternoon - maybe 5 at the bar, a table or two with hungry patrons, and a patio full of cigarette smokers. (I thought Oceanside had "outlawed" smoking even on patios?) Anyway, the food was pretty good, my drink had to be remade because it was seriously watered down. That doesn't seem to be the norm with the reviews but it happened. The other's drinks were fine - whiskey based, hmmmm...... I'm a dog lover. I think dogs should remain on the patio though - maybe they didn't care for all the cigarette smoke either ..... which we didn't enjoy BTW - it was prevalent streaming through the open door ..... Kids? Bar? Really? I don't need to go on .... The food was ok - heavy bar food and we'd had better burgers. The service? I thought maybe I was to order at the bar and get a table number. With the so few patrons, we should've had better service. There are several new spots open on the Coast Highway in Oceanside. The Pour House is definitely better than it's predecessor, the Beach Club. But that wasn't hard to beat. Since my review isn't shared with many previous posters, it appears it's just not our gig. No worry - we have plenty of establishments to frequent.

Stopped in for a beer and lunch and was pleasantly surprised. The drafts are nice and cold. The Decore on the walls are super fun. The bathroom was very clean. Lunch was great. I had the blackened chicken sandwich with fries. The sandwich was juicy and the bun was fresh The toppings were crisp and the vegetables fresh. Fries were hot and had some pepper. Delicious!

Stopped in for lunch today because I heard they have pretty decent happy hour specials. My boyfriend and I picked the right day because it was Moscow Mule Monday and we love mules. The drinks were great, the service was fast and friendly, and the food was delicious. I will definitely be going back.

Pour House is, by far, my favorite place to eat, drink, and be merry. Everything that comes from behind the bar or in the kitchen is amazing. The staff is always smiling and excited to provide excellent service. I've honestly just never had a bad experience here. The crowd is alway fun to watch, it's usually a mix of weird, crazy, awesome people. The band is usually the same mixture of crazy, awesome, and weird. I've also been during the day to enjoy a good drink, some good food and just read a book and it works for that as well. Do yourself a favor and check this place out.

Pour House is helping Oceanside people get their drink on at a great price. The cheery staff poured me a strong drink, and for that I will return again soon.

In a community that's seen as worn down and scummy; a town where crackheads and burn outs wander aimlessly around the streets as if it were a spin off of The Walking Dead; a city beleaguered by bars of ill repute, establishments that carry stabby vibes and rapey undertones; it seems as if all hope has dwindled and the concept of a good time has been engulfed by the dystopian flames of complacency. All is not lost, however. From the ashes rise a beacon of normalcy, a cry for change. Enter The Pour House: an eccentric cocktail lounge flush with lively decor and friendly faces. Just got off work and want to wind down without the fear of being curb stomped by some meth-head with bad tattoos and daddy issues? Then come to The Pour House! Looking for a place to congregate with some friends and enjoy the stellar ambiance? Then come to The Poor House! Great cocktail menu, extensive selection of beers on tap, loquacious bartenders and live music! Did I forget to mention the affordable gourmet food they serve? Yeah, this place has it all. Really. I think I just found my home away from home. Oh and if you're feeling hipster for the night, they serve cans of Colt 45 and Tall Boys of PBR. What a revelation it is to have an enjoyable reprieve from the burdens of life. (This place used to be Beach Club. It is no longer that horrid, run down bar. It's been completely gutted and reconstructed from the inside out.) Also, the owners, Dave and Emily, are really nice. A much needed addition to the Oceanside community, The Pour House is a must for anyone looking for a good drink and without the risk of contracting a venereal disease.

Awesome specialty cocktail list (the cucumber collins is delicious), great patio seating, very open and comfortable space so you don't feel squished against the bar, great lighting during the day so it doesn't feel dingy and dark, huge and well stocked bar with lots of great beers on tap, super nice bartenders, and even a stage area for live music! When we went, they had a great band playing on a Sunday afternoon which was unexpected and really added that special something. Loved it (especially the awesome decor...which is weird to say about a bar maybe haha), can't wait to return this weekend!

This place is all that. Great food, great music, great drinks and great service. Need I say more. Recommend Dirty Chips, Wings and Meat and Mac entree. . .

This place has made an amazing transformation to what it was before. NOW...when you see this place, it has a nice inviting exterior with its modern soft grey touch and US Flags flowing in the wind which you can definitely see while cruising down the 101. Inside, you will see the full bar and a main stage at the corner of this spacious bar. Everything about this place screams CLEAN and MODERN!! They had a live band playing when I was there, and I decided to hang out right outside their patio while looking out into the historic 101. Pricing for their drinks has changed a little bit since their opened. Most of their beers is anywhere from $5-7 and same goes for their cocktails. They have a good handful of craft beers on tap (Mother Earth to name a few) it is a dive bar, but this is a much more upscaled dive, and what separates this particular one from the rest is the attention to detail of how this place was flipped around. I highly recommend this place, definitely great to take a date out or hang out with some friends!

I've been waiting oh so patiently for The Pour House to open, and last night was the night I was finally able to make it in. We sat at the bar ordered some beers, a Moscow Mule (with house made Ginger beer) and a few appetizers. We ordered the Dirty Chips and the Wings. Both had huge potential, but fell a little short. About half of the chips were under cooked and limp, and they didn't have enough sauce, so we asked for more on the side (which they so graciously provided). The wings were fried to a crisp. However, the wing sauce and dipping sauce were tasty. I think the kitchen is still working out a few kinks, so I will definitely be back again to test out more food. The bartenders were awesome and super patient. The vibe is awesome with great music (live and background). Glad the ol' Beach Club got a face lift with greats drinks and food. Side note-- Happy Hour goes until 7 and is a great time to try some of the appetizers, which are a little of the pricey side otherwise.

Literally everything we ordered was amazing from the kitchen. We loved the food. I don't know how someone called it bland because it definitely is not. Will be back on a less busy night to have some drinks and eat!

Expectations were average given the ambience. However, food and beer selection is incredible (delerium on tap). The presentation of the food is surprisingly gourmet coupled with first class flavor. This is a gem in south oceanside given the price. I had the strawberry spinach salad with chicken. Presentation is 10/10 and like something you would see at a first class, high end restaurant (e.g., Roy's). Value is 10/10 given their low prices for the caliber of food. Food was also 10/10.

Great Place. Good food- decent size portions. The Craft beer selection changes frequently so if you want to try unique brews - definitely a recommended stop. The place is very clean, there's outside seating. We like especially stopping in during the day when Charlotte works ( what a sweetheart ). Did you hear this Pour House?! keep this girl, she's an asset to your business where bars along Coast Hwy are becoming very common. They also have a full bar and pour a decent drink. It's a great haunt for No County!

Best bar in town. Good food, great drinks, amazing staff. David and Emily worked really hard to make this place, their dream, come true. Excellent beer selection on tap. Quality specialty cocktail menu. The food is so much better than your average "bar food". Can't beat the atmosphere.

  • Kyle S.

Nice place. They have a few good beers on tap, decent cocktails, food, one pool table, and a strong emphasis on great music. I must say, the place is much cleaner than the majority of oceanside bars.

I went late on a Friday night, so this review is from that point of view. After a night of beer & food to close out Bagby's, we ended up at the Pour House. The wife and her girlfriends had been there before and said the food was good. Like I said, we got there late and my first thought was, "whoa, what a dive!" My next thought was, "I like it!" If you're looking for a late night dive, but don't want to feel like you're going to get stabbed, I think this is the place. Black Pearl, a sweet reggae band was playing - nice live music and band set up, check. Random people rasta dancing, check. Mixed crowd - 20's crowd, hipsters, some oldsters, all varieties, shapes, and colors, check. Decent beers on tap (I sipped on a Mother Earth Cali while chuckling inside at the patrons holding Coors Light), check. Saw the food menu and items looked good, but kitchen was probably closed - like I said, the wife tried it before and approved. They have an outside patio along Hwy 101 and we e-vap'd for awhile there after the band set. All in all, a decent dive for late night with friends. Will definitely go back.

Great food, drinks, and live music! Decor is a bit boring and the servers generally suck (but at least smile and are friendly). Order at the bar for best results. The bands can be awesome to "wtf are we listening too?", but always fun energy and good crowd most nights. My new local spot!!

I was born and raised in Oceanside and over the last 30 years I've seen the ups and downs of South O, mostly down, but since we voted out some crusty council members the city has been more welcoming to growth, change and expansion. Just look at the dozens of new business' infusing life back into Oceanside. Watching Greystrokes turn to Beach club and it's ultimate demise made room of The Pour House. My first thought was of the good job they did with the interior which was more of a health hazard than faux pas, next was the variety in beers without losing all of it's identity in the craft game. Nothing against other place who only offer craft, but lets be honest, sometimes a tall boy with your old High School friends sounds fun. I get that not every place has the ability to more or less turn away that entire non craft beer segment because lets face it we're still in Oceanside. Depending on the situation some beers to better than others. As you take your next few steps into the place you realize it's still very dark, they chose not to add additional windows for ambiance. That was something I hoped them to for years, sure on a bright day with the windows open and the door it's ok, but crowded it's still a little glommy inside. Maybe some color instead of the dark wood, felt very Lion & Stag-ish. With the craft beer game flooded, and the specialty cocktails on the rise, it's no surprise to see their drink menu offerings of the traditional mule, cucumber Collins among others. I was not that impressed with the mule because they didn't serve it in a copper mug, I mean come on, we've all been using mason jar glasses forever. It was strong, but the ginger beer was not potent enough to really give that bite. Bundenberg, Fentimans, or even Stoli. The patio is pretty much the same, some new chairs, some new paint, but nothing extra ordinary. It's pretty hard to revamp a patio though. Fried chicken for $13, Mac and cheese for the same. And we're in Oceanside? Ok so everyone is doing good mac & cheese, but no one is charging this much. It's decent, but not worth it. Bechamel was a little oily and I prefer some bite to my cheese and like a smoked gouda, maybe some manchego, some gruyere, but definitely some northern white. I've bought a truffle before and it was more than my rent, actually more than my rent and my car payment and insurance, but there was no extractable oil to top anything with so that truffle is synthetic otherwise that dish would cost as much as every item on the whole menu. I dig the shells they use, always felt classy growing up when I'd make Velveta over Kraft. Buttermilk fried chicken did not crunch the way it's supposed to, what's with the sauce, I didn't ask for country fried steak with gravy slathered all over it, I wanted fried chicken. Oh well, you live and you learn. Hearty portions. Get the wings or the wing tulips depending on how traditional you are, huge potential here, some home made sauces and bang a rang rufio. You can fly. Understaffed seems to be the theme here. When it's packed, forget it, when it's dead, staff has too much time to care. I know it's a small family owned place right now. I know they haven't figured out their predictable rushes, but that's why I've given them a handful visits. They are still serving strong drinks, but have yet to tap into the real local crowd that's begged for the more upscale places like Privateer, LTH, Masters all in recent months. You'll never get Carlsbad natives to come across the lagoon for this. What college kid is gonna come from San Marcos and down the hop highway for this? The menu has potential, the location has potential, but I would have liked more of a facelift, a real 180 from Beach Club. It needs a "thing" that has a draw and I don't see it. It's Beach Club, but 2.0 and without the Beach. This would have been great 4 years ago. It's got a Peabody's vibe. They have live music, strong drinks and tons of potential, but right now they have a ways to go.

Omg the service was amazing. The food was incredible. We stopped on a whim figuring at least we could have a drink. We ordered the tuna poke and the pork nachos. Oh my god it was so much better than either the prices or the exterior would indicate. A definite must stop if you are in Oceanside. Excellent service amazing food incredible atmosphere a highlight of the trip. I'm amazed Diners Drive ins and Dives has not been here yet.

The food is amazing. The servers are very nice. The only reason for the less than 5 star rating is both times I've been here one of our plates came out like 15 minutes later than the rest. We came on a night when coyote blues redemption was playing. They were sooooo entertaining!

I know this place has been plenty of different bars but I think this is the best one. I really hope Pour House sticks around because it is way better than any of its predecessors. The inside is open but they do have a few tables as well as seating all along the cool bar and if I am not mistaken they have a stage too. You can also sit outside if you want to smoke or whatnot. The service was good and they have a pool table. The drinks were yummy and at a great price for "fancy" drinks. The beer selection was pretty good and the food delicious. We had some truffle fries and if you are not a truffle oil hater you will like them. We also had an order of dirty chips and they were awesome. The beer cheese sauce was great and went really well with the meat. I plan to add the Pour House to my bar list.

Located where the old Beach Club was for years, this Oceanside restaurant/bar is [hopefully] here to stay! We parked on a side street and walked in to find a dimly-lit room with wooden bar, an empty stage, a few metal chairs & tables. Not a great first impression, I have to admit, but it was early on a weeknight. REALLY glad we stayed to find out how great this place is! CHECKED THE SPECIALS BOARD on the way in. I was pleased to find this waiting for me: Chicken Sandwich Special - $7.95 - Grilled Chicken, Avocado, Grilled Peppers, [no] Cheese, Pretzel Roll Also ordered was some pretty diabolical-looking mac & cheese. Dairy is not my friend, so I had to take my BF's word on it that it was awesome. Will definitely return because it's reasonably priced (unlike some of these other places popping up in Oside who don't deliver for the $$), had good food & beer on tap to choose from. Bringing friends next time on a weekend for music :)

    (4)
  • Kimmi B.

Never had food here, but the drinks are good and the open mic is my favorite of all North County San Diego. Great live music sound and Whit does an amazing job hosting. Great place for live music on the weekends too!

  • Dustin G.

Decent little spot with a pool table. First thing I noticed was how loud the place was. They did have a band playing but the four people playing pool sounded loaded then the actual band. This would be a great place to come after a long day at the beach to get some beer and decent food. I had the dirty chips appetizer and my wife had the Buffalo wings... not the best nachos I had but for some props I believe they make the chips homemade. That's a plus to change it up and make their nachos different in a good way but not a great way. My wife liked her wings but once again they were not to die for. But that's all the food we tried but over all it was decent. The beer list is lengthy with I would say about 20 types including Carlsbad chronic. My favorite pizza port beer. All in all this is a nice little local spot to come to and hang out at to watch some football and have a cold fresh beer. Hope you enjoy.

Good drinks. Decent prices. The truffle fries and truffle Mac and cheese is amazing. Good places to hang out with friends and have a good time. On certain nights they have live bands. Always a good time here

I am not usually one to identify with a bar- but I have to say, this is definitely my main bar. If I could put a label on it: I would say (for lack of a better term) hipster-dive meaning that it still is relaxed, but some much more than a simple dive. They are true to part of their name with "pour" meaning that they do not skimp out on the drinks. I really appreciate this bar for much more than that though: there are always good people IN the bar, which is really refreshing, and there are even better people actually working the bar. On top of that, the prices are on point. They always have live music on the weekends, and even if they do not, the selection is always great. Plus: a pool table and outside patio? You really can't go wrong. Don't forget to try some of the the food, either. The only thing I regret with this review is that I do not want too many people to find this gem, haha.

I lived in town when it was Larrys Beach Club. That's why when my best friend suggested it I was like Mmmm no. But boy was I wrong!!! This place is a lil gem. Charlotte makes the most amazing drinks (we probably had too many for a Monday afternoon) (sorry Charlotte) but I was on vacation right?!! We split the blacken chicken sandwich with truffle fries and the quinoa kale salad. Best. Salad. Ever. We played w few rounds of pool, drank a few Mules and Cucumber Collins ate some amazing wings and walked home! All in all pretty fun!!!

  • Teedha P.

I am disgusted....with myself for the amount of food I ate. Stopped by this place with a friend after work by chance since we both haven't been and OMG....do not let the decor/random old dudes fool you. Their food is amazing. We split the ahi poke, truffle mac n cheese, and their lamb burger with truffle fries. We literally were licking the plates (no..not literally but thought about it). This is definitely a place to try in oceanside. Only one star off for the creepy furniture/decor...but it still won't stop me from coming back. Strong work pour house!

Formally what used to be known as 'the beach club' where I oh so frequently went to, this place has been remodeled into an odd bar with deer heads on the walls, the CUTEST hipster bartenders with the CUTEST outfits- I'm talking suit and suspenders and beards , a stage where a band usually plays and a long outdoor Patio that's my fave. They pour the drinks heavy, so heavy that the first and last time I've been there I barely remember! Lol. This really is the "pour" house- they pour heavy, not to be confused With the "poor" house which I originally thought it was called- and you definitely might be after a few drinks here. Lol. I'll be back. The vibes hard to describe. Reminds me of a hipster/greaser area. I like it.

Cool place. Cool owner. Will be back. Nice copper bar top. Old school bar vibe goon on here. Downtown Oceanside local place. Clean. Cool patio. Entertainment stage. 16 beers on tap.

  • Megan S.

Fun spot to grab a drink. Live music is cool. The bartenders could be a little more welcoming. I know bars are super packed on the weekdays, but every time I come in I feel super rushed to order and almost feel like their annoyed with me asking for a drink. Isn't that the purpose of a bar tender?

I am so happy with the positive and elegant changes the owners have made to transform Beach Club. I love that they are down the street from where I live and that I am happy to come here expecting delicious food and great drinks. I am always satisfied with the service here as well. I'm glad I can have a place I can go to that can compare to TVs Maclarens :)

First time at Pour House last night! This place looks amazing after the remodeling they did from what it was before. The vibe is comfortable with a copper bar, wood plank tables, open room, pool table, live music and outside area for smoking/drinking. The food was really good as well as the service! I recommend the truffle pork Mac and cheese it's sooooooooo sooooooo good. Thanks Dave for a great time! I will be back to try more stuff from the menu!

Cute local place and one of the better bars in Oceanside. We came here for pre-dinner drinks and an appetizer. Bartender was nice, prices were good. I knocked a star off for atmosphere though. The place was near empty and the crowd was a bit off for me. I would love to come back though another night to try it out again. I think it was just too early.

  • Matthew C.

Went there a couple Sundays ago. Cocktail list was good. The wife got something made with gin that she really liked. I got a craft beer. Just wish they had more local beer selection. The wife had a salad and loved it. I had a burger that was average. Probably would not get it again. They had a band on Sunday night. Not bad but they were playing really loud. Which would be ok if the place was packed, but there were like 10 people in there and you could not even talk to the person next to you. Let alone the bartender to order a drink. Would be a good place to go for some drinks and play some pool with friends. Not sure I would go back for the food.

Please note that even though this review is based on one incident that happened, it was severe enough for my friends and I to vow never to come back to this place. The rudeness and incompetency of the staff was mind blowing. So my friends and I went out to pour house one night for some drinks and appetizers to start our night. First time most of us had been there. All of us are all freshly legal 21 year olds with the exception of one girl with us who has a very convincing fake ID. She got in no problem. She immediately spots a girl at the bar whom she has had previous incidence with and precedes to do all she can to avoid a second confrontation and even eye contact with her. We all sit at a booth far away from the girl and starting drinking and minding our own business. 30 minutes later the bartender comes to our booth and asks to see our friends fake ID one more time. Weird we thought, since she had already ordered 2 drinks and shown it twice. He looks at it for a minute and says he doesn't believe it's her, so she politely tells him if he doesn't think so she will leave with out any problem. He then starts taking all of our drinks away and tells us all to pay our tabs and get out. We ask him why we all have to leave immediately and he tells us the girl previously mentioned, who has a problem with my friend, snitched on my friend to him and told him her ID was fake. "So why do we all have to leave?" No explanation except "Everyone go pay and get out right now" So we all have to leave and pay for our drinks that he took away from us? What kind of bullshit is that? Here we are keeping to ourselves, tipping the bartenders well, being mellow at a booth, and we get pushed out the door and treated like we started a bar fight. Even the people we had JUST MET at the booth next to us had to leave because we started talking/drinking with them. I mean, we probably would have left with our friend anyway and went to another bar but this bartender took it upon himself to decide that he needs to follow us to the bar to make sure we pay for our drinks, stand an inch away from our group at all times with his arms crossed, and constantly remind us that we need to leave now and that we aren't welcome back. Don't worry, we won't Dude even followed us outside and stared us down until we left the parking lot with the line "off the premises!" Trust me, I completely understand why he would kick our friend with a fake ID out, it's a danger to have her drinking there and puts their liquor license in jeopardy. But to kick everyone out and treat us like shit when we weren't even arguing or resisting his demands to get out is unacceptable and very unprofessional. It's a shame too, pour house has potential to be a hot spot for the younger 21+ crowd (a crowd who statistically spends ALOT OF MONEY on alcohol), but trust me when I say that we all will avoid that place like the plague and encourage everyone else our age to do the same

My husband and I went here last Saturday and loved it! The craft cocktails were SO good and the bartenders were super friendly. There was a good crowd too. Some cute hipsters playing pool, a nice couple of elderly fellas at the bar, and a whole mixture of folks dancing on the dance floor. I took a star off bc it is still has a new feeling, like it hasn't quite been broken in yet, but hopefully cool people will take care of this over the course of the next few months. So glad to see a great place like this in opened up in Oside and really looking forward to going back!

Wow, just wow! Great classic cocktails, some truly wonderful twists on classics as well. What a step up from the old Beach Club- light years better! Hillary is rockin it behind the bar with top notch service. Can't wait to come back again!

WOW!! So nice and refreshing. I loved it. I went there for the first time last night Iand loved it. A nice change from The Beach Club which was formally there. There are all types of people in there and a wide variety of ages from 20's up to 60's. The band was good...I wish I could of seen the country band earlier. I was not aware they played before hand. I am coming again tonight and bringing a friend. We are always looking for a place that has live music in the area and frankly there just aren't to many around that are safe (I like the fact you have several bouncers) I also wanted to say your website is awesome. I can see what bands are playing and you have attached their websites to hear them prior to going. pourhouseoceanside.com/c…

This place is fairly laid back. We arrived around 6:15 pm on a Friday but it didn't start filling up until 7:30 or so. The Pork Belly Tacos & Truffle Fries are Great (crispy)! My friend had the Reuben Sandwich and he enjoyed it. They had a Chargers game on . . . While the pool table was busy & the Live Band started . . . I had a Cucumber Collins or Four ! My friends & I agree, the drinks were Good & Strong, No Doubt !

I like Pour House, they make great mixed drinks. Nice atmosphere, good food. The live music that I've caught has been great, however it was so loud I couldn't talk to my friends seated directly across the booth from me, and this was before 8 p.m. which I felt was a bit excessive. The place was hoppin, lots of people were dancing. There was a strong presence of "mature" people age 50+.

Holy Mother of God. The Mac n Cheese is so good! The fried chicken has a hint of lemon zest, which gives it a whole new layer of fresh flavor. The dirty chips have cheese, jalapeños and bacon, what else do you need? Loving this new spot in Oceanside!

Excellent food (my fav is the truffle Mac and cheese), specially beverages (the Cucumber Collins is Soooo refreshing), good music and an interesting and eclectic decor. Love this place!

This place is around the corner, so I had to check it out. I love fried chicken. When you see buttermilk fried chicken, you think of a few pieces of friend chicken with bone and a lot of crispiness. It should be called smothered boneless chicken breast. I also love mac and cheese and have really been impressed with the different ones I've tried at The Flying Pig, The Local Tap House and The Compass. This one, absolutely no flavor and the pork made it even worse. There was minimal décor, which made it feel cold and empty, no music and the outside seating area had small tables, with hard metal stools that were very uncomfortable. No ambiance inside or out. Maybe it's because they just opened, but I'm hoping this place will get better because I'd really like to return. At this point, I just don't see it happening.

The food was great, large portions, good price, and very tasty! The service was fab, and the owners and staff were genuinely nice. They did a great job of revamping the place, it's very stylish and clean. I especially loved the innovative cocktail menu and highly recommend the Vitamin A martini. Super excited to have a new place to hang.

This place is so good, both the food and drinks. They have a wide selection of good beer, and also mixed drinks with fresh ingredients. If you like 'farm to table' style food, you will like this food. Very rich, lots of fresh ingredients, no Sysco food systems here. I think the prices are really reasonable for this kind of food, for instance $5.95 for truffle fries and $7-8 for salads or bread & spread. I'm getting a little too old and hard of hearing to be able to comprehend anything my friends are saying during the live music. Happy to have this near our house.

Service is always amazing as I'm here around 3-5 times a week. Tonight was particularly amazing! I came in from a long drive, got a cocktail and asked for food. KITCHEN CLOSED. I wasn't too upset but Nate offered up/insisted I eat his chicken sandwich. It was def his 'after work meal' but it was delicious. Yeah it was cold but it was the best cold sandwich I've ever had and normally I wouldn't take a sandwich or meal from a starving bartender (oftentimes I am one) but he insisted. WHAT A GENTLEMAN! I owe him dinner and he's def getting a huge tip. Thanks Nate. You're the best. Dave, the owner, & Ryan are swell, too. I mean it's not MY watering hole for nothing.

This place is the best whole in the wall. Charolette makes a great whiskey smash (TTexas special) and the food is surprisingly great

Great place for lunch as the food was excellent. Moreover, the menu was totally different and varied from the norm. Charlotte, our mixologist, was delightful, personable and knowledgeable. This is our new favorite place.

This is 2 blocks from my house and I was excited for it to open. Love the live music when they have it. They should post schedule on Facebook. Drinks are good and very reasonable. I hope this place finds it's stride and stays open. A few suggestions to the owners: dim the lights- this would help with the "stark appearance" some have mentioned on yelp. It's a bar, not my mothers kitchen. Keep an eye on the waitress, I ordered a $7 tequilla, gave her a $10 and she asked if I wanted change????? Wow! I said yes and then tipped a dollar. If she hadn't pulled that crap would have been $2. I was cool with her, but after that, she has never waited on me when I've gone back. Good lord this is a bar and a dollar a drink is average for this area. Now I have to go to the bar for my drinks. Once my friends and I just left after waiting 30 minutes for her to even acknowledge we were at a table. We had already gone to the bar for the first round and it wasnt busy, she could just care less about the bar, she is a money hungry........ Place is losing money with this kind of help. Just an idea, turn it into a Blues Bar. Not one in north county. Seriously need one. Overall, I see potential.

Dave's new place is wonderful! Live bands, great atmosphere, great decor, pool table and amazing Sunday Brunch! Wife and I love this place, third time here and will defiantly keep coming back!

This place is amazing!!! Food is delish and the owners really care about every aspect of their business. Highly recommended! (So happy the nasty beach club was replaced by such an awesome bar!) The food is delicious, I've had the wings, quinoa and kale salad, pork sliders, and caprese flat bread on my many visits ..... the food is delicious and flavorful! Just remember. ... it's a bar, not a restaurant. :)

I live a few blocks from here and have been anxious to check this place out since I heard that it was turning into a nice bar/restaurant. I also really make an effort to eat/dine local only. That being said, this was my experience. When we walked in I felt like I had entered a hall or a place that might be rented out for a special event because it looked somewhat empty, not meaning that there were no people, but like it hadn't been completely furnished. After looking around it became apparent that there was some nice wall art and they did a fantastic job renovating the women's restroom. However, the atmosphere didn't leave me with the desire to stay because I felt like I was in a place that was unfinished. The place was not that busy, but getting table service to order food was difficult. We sat on the patio and had to ask several times if someone could help us. Once we got a waitress she was great. She was very nice and apologetic for the lapse in service. The menu was very limited, but looked interesting. There was nothing like french fries or onion rings on the menu, but the waitress kindly offered to bring us a side of fries for $3. We ordered the following items: chili (with sour cream, chives, & cheddar cheese), garlic kale chicken tulip wings, half dozen of the classic buffalo wings, spinach jalapeno artichoke dip with flatbread, buttermilk fried chicken (with garlic spinach hash, mushroom bacon béchamel), and truffle pork mac and cheese . Unfortunately, the chili was barely warm and tasted similar to Hormel chili from a can, but the portion size was generous. The garlic kale chicken tulip wings were my absolute favorite. The sauce was delicious and the chicken paired well with the kale. I am not a big fan of buffalo wings, but my dad loves them. He said they were alright, but the chicken was dry. Two of us thought the jalapeno artichoke dip was good, but the flatbread it came with could have been toasted/warm more. The buttermilk fried chicken dish was great. However, what you get is not what you would expect to receive based on the menu description. It is one boneless chicken breast that comes smothered in sauce. Therefore, there is really no "fried" chicken experience to be had because the sauce makes the chicken soggy. (For some reason I expected the sauce to be on the side or on the hash). The hash was "totally scrumptious" though. Four of us were dining and unfortunately none of us cared for the mac and cheese and the shredded pork just didn't seem to mix well with the dish. It was a generous serving though that also came with bread which appeared to be semi-toasted, but there was no special flavor to it or anything. It just tasted like a piece of white bread with very little butter. The ranch & blue cheese dressing they use is really good. The total for the food was $57.60. The prices were all very reasonable except for the fried chicken and mac and cheese items, which were around $13 and $14 bucks respectively. Domestic beers were $4. Unfortunately, I don't have the desire to return unless I'm asked to meet someone there, or they start having some great music. The crowd seemed to be similar to the Beach Club crowd, but I am an O'side local and I think that's kind of always expected around here so it's no biggie to me. However, I was hoping that the establishment might also draw in others from around North County. I understand that it just opened and I think with a little more refinement (atmosphere, menu, service) the place has great potential. I will make an effort to follow.

Live music. Check. Pool table. Check. Outdoor seating. Check. Hot bartenders. Check. What else do you need? This neighborhood needed a cool laid back hang out spot. Prices are right, and ambiance is great. Can't wait to go back!

Great location, awesome barkeeps, nice craft beer selection and dericious cocktails. They have a pool table and rad live music on weekend nights. The patrons are usually a mix of middle aged and older, but also the trendy hip kids of Oceanside. Come and check it out!! It's a dive bar, but totally not. Get hip with it.

I came here for my 30th birthday and I had a blast. I know Dave from The Tee and I was excited that he opened his own place because he has always been a super awesome bartender. The crowd was fun and so was the staff. This place has had an amazing makeover since it's days as The Beach Club. Support this place and bring your friends. I most definitely will. PS: Sorry Dave for playing with your foliage. Haha.

Came here on a Tuesday evening for Happy Hour with some friends. The food was DE-LISH, and the drinks were too. Generous wine pour made me a happy girl! We were pleasantly surprised to see a fabulous guitar player, who serenaded us while we enjoyed our food and drinks. We then had an impromptu dance party-and it was 7pm! So much fun. We'll definitely be back!!!

I have been here with a few friends to watch live music. The environment is nice. It gets pretty full on Friday and Saturday nights and takes a little while to get your drinks. But the staff seems friendly and the live music is always fun and entertaining. Especially the random dancers on the dance floor! Lol it's very clean & classy place. Very upscale bar.

Great rib sandwich and Moscow mule! Can't wait to go back and try more food. Fries were to crispy for me, but my date liked them. See you soon pour house!

Like it more now than when it was the beach club, great improvement - however, the service is consistently subpar, the crowd sucks and every band that I've heard hear is terrible. BYOB- because waiting for a drink here could be eternal and it's never busy!

Went during a Thursday night date. It was dead around 7 when I showed up but the place started to fill up around 8 when open mic night started to take off. Some of the bands were really good and some were really loud. I recommend it for a good place to hang out, grab a drink and an appetizer. Some craft brews, cocktails, and the king of beers, a little something for everyone.

Great selection of whiskey and other alcohol. All of the staff were very friendly and polite. They have live music many nights a week. All of the food is great and priced fairly. Great place to stop by for a few drinks and hangout.

Great food and a good selection of drinks. They usually have live bands playing on weekends that are pretty good and really fun. If the music indoors is too loud for you, they have an outdoor seating area with heat lamps.

I went here for dinner a few weeks ago with some friends. I appreciate that they have live music, that makes for a nice environment. Their food is good, and you can smoke on the patio. It just seems to be a bit on the pricier side compared to other places of the same quality. I think they are still figuring things out. But our server was extremely friendly and I will definitely come back for a late night meal. Welcome to the neighborhood, Pour House!

This is a nice local place. It reminds me of a day that you go to the beach and want a place to hang out , have some beer and eat some appetizers! They live music which is definitely a plus and a pool table. There's an outside patio that people can hang out , drink and smoke. Pretty laid back . Used to be the old Ocean House , which was a local bar that I enjoyed hanging at also. My husband and I had a couple beers , Bud light ($4 draft) which is actually pretty cheap and I had the chicken wings that I was not crazy about. My husband had the cheddar chips with pork that was extremely good! All and all , not a bad place.

Was there last night, it is an ok spot, bar, another spot to add to your get a beer and move on selection. Beer selection is small but good. Food was ok, if you do not like pretzel buns ask for a regular one for the PH burger, which was ok. Check it out however I may not go back for a while until they add more things. Staff was nice.

My girlfriends and I had a fun night out tonight! We somehow found this place, sat in the corner booth and ate, drank and did a lot of talking & laughing. Drinks were all great! Mac n cheese was tasty and filling, pork belly tacos were delish, chicken wings were ok, but the kale & quinoa salad was really good!

This is my favorite bar in Oceanside. Dave, the owner, is so cool, so nice - just an all around great chap! This is a guy who wants his bar to be a chill place, with great drinks, where people can relax and hang out. If that's the style you like - definitely come by!
