We dined for the living social 6 course omakase. We chose outdoor seating as we noticed they had heaters and it was a bit of a breezy day. We asked for the heaters to be turned on. We had to ask twice as our waiter forgot. A bus boy worked our entire meal to turn it on and then tried another one. But none of them worked. Our meal itself was delicious: everything was cooked well. We picked the snapper for our entree and the curry was absolutely delicious. The dessert was so good and I only eat chocolate based desserts. It all worked really well. I have been here before for a meal and I enjoyed it then too. I would come back here in the future.

Came here for dinner one evening with high expectations considering it's a restaurant owned by one of America's top chef! This place is absolutely gorgeous. A very calm and sophisticated atmosphere with modern furnishing and embellishments. I arrived here at the top hour of dinner and by the time I left, this place was packed - a very popular pick for dinner. I ordered the following three dishes: Toro Tartare - 4 stars. A small platter (looks bigger in pictures) of tuna belly served with five different condiments. The tuna belly was fairly good; literally tasted like ground tuna fish. Didn't care too much for the side condiments. Who eats sashimi with sour cream? Yek. Morimoto Sashimi - 2 stars. The dish that seems to be ordered by everyone on Yelp! Eh, not so great. Fish is NOT at all fresh. Fish was not served cold, like how fresh sashimi is served. The 5 sauces accompanying the dish was not satisfying to the palate. Couldn't really taste the difference - prefered the sashimi eaten without any sauces. Roasted Lobster - 2 stars. Lack of flavoring. I expected a warm tender lobster with a blend of flavoring. But what I got was a lobster cooked with lots and lots and lots of cayenne pepper. The spice was overpowering which made the entree less appetizing. Lobster was very dry; it was not tender or juicy. I had expectations of quality fish here considering it is a cuisine owned by a renown Japanese chef. I'll probably be back to try the other dishes and give this place a second try! :)
