So delicious. Easily my favorite Thai place I have encountered. A unique twist to typical Thai. The Kari Chicken Curry (yellow curry) is the best. The teryiaki steak is delicious. Everything is good. No complaints. Friendly service, nice atmosphere, decent location in the heart of downtown Napa.

Mini Mango Thai Bistro is the best of the Napa Thai restaurants but that is not much of a compliment. For many years we did not have a Thai restaurant in Napa. I went to two of them many times hoping to find a dish or two that I liked. Mini Mango is the first Thai restaurant in Napa that I can recommend and I've been there about a dozen of times. I've been going regularly to Thai restaurants since 1973 when most of the menus were not in English and I'd be the only non-Asian in the restaurant. I had Thai friend write down on a piece of paper my favorite dishes so I could show it to the waitress and order. In the 1980s or so Thai food caught on and you could then find restaurants outside Thai areas that had menus in English. The chicken cha cha is okay as are the oven roasted shitake spring rolls. The one time I order the seemingly fool proof classic Pad Thai (which I frequently make from scratch at home), it was too soggy and watery. The chicken coconut soup and tom yum prawn soup are both good but you have to order them by small single bowls. My favorite dishes besides the soups are the so-called "peanut bomb", the double drunken wide noodles and the garlic prawns. Mini Mango is really the only option if you live in Napa Valley and do not want to leave the Valley. I like some dishes there and will return. For my favorite Thai food, though, I leave Napa Valley.

Menu didn't offer as many choices as I thought there would be after hearing & reading reviews about the place. Went earlier in the year. Nice decor and cute place, but just not the tastiest compared to what I've had. I don't think you should have to learn the Thai names of the dishes in order to receive "authentic" Thai food.

This place is NOT GOOD. If the whole of your Thai food experience consists ONLY of eating at the two other Thai food places in Napa, then this place MIGHT impress you. But if you love Thai food, and have eaten a lot of it anyplace other than Napa, then Mini Mango is going to be as big a DISAPPOINTMENT to you as it was to me. Mini Mango took over the restaurant space from the now defunct Bleaux Magnolia and didn't change much on the inside. In other words, it more resembles an Italian loggia than any other Thai restaurant I've been to. And this matters only in that it sets the tone of the restaurant, along with music, cloth napkins, and menu design. They're definitely shooting for an upscale feel here. With that in mind, let me tell you about the terrible service (before I tell you about the terrible food)... 1) I ordered a half-bottle of pinot gris, and they brought out frozen wine glasses -- like you might with beer. When I asked for glasses that weren't chilled/frozen, they brought out a totally different glass shape (something like a juice glass). Then they proceeded to fill the glasses 3/4 full. Now, if this were some hole-in-the-wall place with paper napkins, then I wouldn't have any expectation about wine service. But this is Napa, and if you're going to sell wine in the restaurant AND you're going to shoot for "upscale," then I think the service staff should have minimum training, don't you? 2) Because it was our first time there, I wanted to order a lot of food to get a good feel for the menu. There were two of us and we ordered a total of six dishes. A lot, to be sure, especially since everything was served family-style (as opposed to composed plates meant for one person). So I clearly specified that we would like so-and-so for our FIRST course, and so-and-so for our SECOND course. But that's not the way the food came out of the kitchen. Instead, the dishes started pouring out like uncontrolled diarrhea, randomly coming out whenever they finished cooking them, I guess. The result was that our little two-top table was overwhelmed with food, and consequently, they wanted to rush us on some of the first dishes to come out so they could take the plates away to make room for the rest of the food! 3) After tasting a couple of the dishes, I asked one of the waitstaff for some salt. A few seconds later, he came back with -- I bullshit you not -- one of those two pound plastic containers of salt from Costco, complete with the Kirkland label on it. WTF?! When I told one of my friends about this, he said, "Maybe he did it on purpose because he was insulted that you asked for salt?" Nope, the guy was just clueless. I flagged down a different waiter and handed the container back to him and he seemed totally embarrassed and flustered that his colleague was a moron. He came back with an apology and a cute little wooden bowl of salt with a spoon in it. THE FOOD... When you have dishes named "Yes! Indeed Pad Thai" and "Peanut Bomb," and when you have descriptions that include "onion consomme," "roasted rice powder," and "basil steamed rice noodles..." you're definitely shooting for something other than standard Thai fare. EVERYTHING was underseasoned and needed salt. And I don't mean that it needed a little bit of salt. As a matter of fact, if I hadn't seen the big-ass two pound container of salt myself, I would have thought that maybe they ran out of salt. MOST EVERYTHING was too sweet! The sauces were SO sweet that I had to ask for a new knife at one point, because the first one got so sticky from the sugar in all of the dishes! (I say "most everything" because the chicken curry was the only thing that wasn't sweet.) We ordered: 1) Bangkok Pot Stickers. Not offensive, but they didn't taste like anything. The sauce, on the other hand, was too sweet. 2) Crispy Tofu Bar. This dish consists of long rectangular blocks of tofu that have been fried to form a skin on the outside, then served with two (sweet) sauces. The problem is that tofu is pretty bland on its own, and these tofu "bars" were so thick that it ended up being a mouthful of bland dipped in sweet. Bleh. 3) Cheing-Mai Grilled Beef Salad. Again, sweet. Again, no salt. 4) Kari Chicken Curry. This was the only decent dish, though I suspect that the curry was simply from a mix. I do have to give props for the vegetables being cooked perfectly. (All too often in Thai curry dishes the potatoes and carrots are hard and undercooked.) 5) Honey BBQ Pork. I thought this was going to be baby back or spareribs, but I was wrong. It was a thin pork chop on the bone and overcooked so that the texture resembled shoe leather. And again with the unbalanced sweetness. 6) Double Drunken Wide Noodles. Not good. I'm tired of repeating myself. On the way out, someone mentioned that Mini Mango was owned my a relative of the owner of Thai Kitchen on Trancas -- and then it all made sense... because that place sucks, too.

Great food! I had the Chicken Cha Cha, which was quite delicious but slightly too sweet, and my S.O. had the Double Drunken Wide Noodles which were also very good. We plan to go back some time.

I think my friend and I were their very first customers and after a great lunch, we wish them well! I had read in one of my foodie blogs that Mini Mango Thai Bistro was coming in to take over the former Bleaux Magnolia spot, but I had no idea that it was opening today. We drove by at lunch time and with the big banner and balloons letting us know, they are NOW OPEN. I like Thai Food, but don't claim to be an expert. From what I know, Thai is that delicate balance between sweet and spicy and Mini Mango is deliciously executed. We started with the sweet potato and chickpea somosas (with yogurt sauce), enjoyed the complimentary starter coconut lime soup (with the softest tofu I have had) and for lunch sampled each other's "Chicken Cha Cha" and "Peanut Bomb" (both stir fries). The food was excellent if also just the tiniest bit overseasoned (or maybe salty, but again, just a smidge). I don't remember the full menu, but it had salads, appetizers, stir fries, sea food and desserts. They claim a modern california/thai fusion influence and it worked well in the foods I tried. While service was still getting their feet wet (we were the first and only ones in the restaurant), they were friendly and attentive, just a bit slow and not sure where everything was--but heck, we were the first ones in the door... The owner waited our table with a busser handling our water and clearing plates. Another more businessy type sat at a side table on the computer. The setting is attractive (and not that different from when it was Bleaux Magnolia) but was freezing cold (inside). I had to keep out my coat after getting the shivers. It was a cloudy, almost rainy day, so we didn't get any warmth from extra sun and definitely did not sit on the patio, which on a sunny day would be perfect. I think they didn't yet have the heat on because we were the first ones in. Also maybe because we were the first customers, the kitchen sent out complimentary dessert, a fabulous creme brulee with a hint of ginger. One bite of that crackly crust and creamy center and I was won over. I'm definitely going back...and telling my friends. Here's to hoping they have great lunch specials, and wishing them luck in the future.

We ordered the "quick sautéed of seasonal greens" and "chicken cha cha" and they were both delicious. Vegetables were fresh with soy sauce type dressing. The chicken wasn't dried and had a basil sauce with green beans. Food came, at most, 10 minutes later. Place is small with an outside patio, so make reservations.

I recommend: ordering it "Thai Style" if you want it spicy. The waitress informed us that they don't make it as spicy as the food usually is because their "typical" customer can't handle it. She recommended we ask for it "thai style" next time after she saw how much chili we added to our food. As far as servings go the serving size is perfect for one person. I usually have to share my food but this was almost perfect, I only left a few bites. And I love Love LOVED the asian slaw! It was like a sweet tangy explosion in my mouth. I need to know the recipe!

Out of many of the disappointing restuarants I've tried in Napa Valley, Mini Mango is not one of them! Its good Thai with a bit of a fusion twist. The staff is very friendly and the wine and beer is goood. Its a little on the pricey side for Thai food but I would go back.

OMG! I love this place! I was taken here for my Birthday dinner a couple weeks ago. The place was full and you could feel the good vibes and smell the good food! We had reservations so seating was immediate. Our order: app: thai pot stickers main course: pad thai, special emerald curry, rice for two drinks: me - thai iced tea, her - glass of a local white wine The food is absolutely delicious!! Some of the best Thai food I have eaten and probably one of Napa's best places to eat. That is if you can eat Thai food. I'll drive all the way here to eat anytime!!

This was the second Thai restaurant we tried. I was wanting non-fried spring rolls and pumpkin curry. Unfortunately, they only had the pumpkin curry. My son and I ordered the tofu strips, spring rolls (they were fried but were delish!), fried prawns (it was fried rice with prawns...I wasn't as impressed), and my pumpkin curry. Over all it was okay. Wasn't the best I've ever had but definitely wasn't the worst. I would go back and try other items. I was disappointed about paying $50 but that included drinks and I did order plenty of food.

We love this place! Everytime we have been here it was delicious. I think we have been there 5 or 6 times and there is always a yummy special on the menu that I like to try and I have never been disappointed. The owner is very nice & kind as well. His wife does the cooking and it is her family recipes from what I understand. The food is always very tasty and satisfying, the service is pleasant and prompt. 5 stars!

I ordered the Pa Thai (spicy) and it was filled with flavor. I went with my boyfriend and it was comforting. I do warn you, that be ready for an intense experience when you order your food spicy. They are not lying! Simple, cute, reasonably priced and delicious food.

I had been a little on the fence about whether or not I wanted to try Mini Mango based on the extremes in Yelpers experiences. My co-worker, however, convinced me with the sweet words "If you order, I'll drive to Napa and pick it up"...since we work up valley and rarely get to eat food outside of our 1/2 mile radius, I was sold. We split an order of the princess papaya salad, the spring rolls, and the double drunken wide noodles with chicken. This ended up being the perfect amount for she and I AND our boss who was staring a little bit longingly at our plates. And i t was only 28 bucks! All of the food was really fresh and clean. The prawns on the papaya salad were actually charcoal grilled and were absolutely delicious. Spring rolls taste pretty much the same to me no matter where they come from - so nothing wildly exciting there. And the noodles were gigantic, super fat ribbons lightly dressed with lots of moist chicken. The food definitely felt light and grease-free. I think I might be hooked...

Excellent food, reasonable prices, friendly service. Not your typical Thai restaurant. Very classy ambience in a quieter back street of downtown Napa. We selected the outdoor table area and thoroughly enjoyed the food and service. Will return on my trip to Napa.

We visited Mini Mango twice during our 3 day stay in Napa. As vegans, we found it surprisingly challenging to find menus not loaded with meat, cheese, and seafood. Mini Mango offered plenty of options for the non-vegan and vegan alike. We ordered the samosa appetizer both night. We also tried the emerald curry with tofu, the red curry with kabosha squash, the green sautee, and pad thai (minus the egg). Everything was fantastic. The curries were particularly delicious with just the right amount of heat. The place is small, but the service was fantastic. The servers immediately recognized us when we came back for our second visit. Will definitely frequent them again next time we are in Napa.

One of the most constantly delicious places I eat at. The food always impresses my wife and I. The owner I believe is always super friendly and gives me grief when I order the same thing too many times in a row. Everything always tastes super fresh and come out really quick even when they are slammed. If you like Thai food, this place in an absolute must try, the best I've been too.

Corn fritters were the only thing I had there that was good and the food is NOT authentic Thai, despite my sister-in-law's insistence that it was. I want people from Thailand cooking my Thai food- sorry, but when I eat somewhere that the cooks are Thai, the food is ALWAYS better! No spice- Thai food is supposed to be spicy! I had drunken noodle which is usually so spicy I can barely eat it. The sauce was sugary and there was zero spice. We eat a local place back home regularly and the owners are from Thailand so they know what they are doing. This place does not. If you think this is good Thai food, your mind would be blown by a real Thai place or you might not like it because it would actually have some spice and not be sugar, sugar, sugar. My husband's food had no spice either.

Great Thai food in Napa! Every time we are in the area, we stop by here. We've had their pad thai, shiitake spring rolls, and honey BBQ pork that comes with Napa cabbage (yum!). Everything we've had has been really delicious, although I feel the prices are a little high for the portions. Also, the last time we came, it was warm outside and with all the open doors/windows, there were tons of flies in the restaurant, which isn't exactly what you want to be worried about when eating. But overall, I would return!

My FAVORITE place in Napa!! My mom lives within walking distance so when I visit, I always stay with her and it's always my first meal when I get there. Everything there is really good! My favorite is the chicken coconut soup. I order it everytime I'm there and sometimes I even order a double. Other favorites are the 8 elements wrap (don't pick off the lime, just go for it!) and their specials. Oh and they have the BEST peanut sauce. Must try the corn fritters, yum! On cold nights don't be afraid of sitting outside. The heat lamps actually get pretty warm. Be sure to snag a little mango candy on the way out! I've never had bad service even when they seemed pretty busy. And I think some people need to realize this is a family operated business, it's not like they can hire a bunch of servers.

This is the best Asian food available in Napa. While slightly Americanized, it is really very good. The food is generally mild, with slightly sweet overtones, to appeal to a western palate. They avoid the heavy fish sauces and Thai Royal Dragon peppers in more traditional Thai cuisine. Ordering extra spicy gets you extra jalapeno peppers, rather than the Thai Chilis you might expect. However, over all they have rich, well flavored dishes. The Ten Tiger Prawns were quite good, and their traditional Tom Yung based coconut milk soup was rich and satisfying. The menu also has a strong vegetarian leaning, with many dishes available as tofu-based. A small indoor dining area, with a large outdoor patio, it may be crowded in the winter. Just one quick update: You will need a reservation during peak times, particularly the 12:00 to 1:00 lunch rush.

Weak. Great venue but bland & expensive food. Poor service. Appetizers came cold after entrees. I love the building but the food is weak. If you like to pretending you're a "foodie", and you like pretension you'll probably love mini mango. If you actually like Thai food just go to the cheap places in Napa. Sadly they are better.

Fantastic experience here on New Year's Eve! The staff was very warm and attentive. They have a combination of traditional Thai dishes, and then more American dishes with Thai-infused flavors. Their crab appetizer special was flavorful (though the breading could have been a bit crisper), and was served on a bed of lettuce with an awesome chili vinaigrette. This is the probably the best massaman curry I've experienced - hearty with a great blend of spices, not to sweet, vegetables were fresh, just the right portion. My boyfriend had a fabulous lamb special with a cumin curry...the lamb was so good he was sucking it off the bone! The ginger creme brulee for dessert was uniquely flavored and textured just right.

This is one of my favorite favorite restaurants in town! It's my go to lunch place! I always have the beef steak salad!! Mmmm! I've tried other dishes but this salad is a must have! For dessert... The green tea and coconut ice cream is amazing!

I stopped by for the first time earlier today and brought the fam. The food was good, nothing amazing, service was great, there was a nice outdoor patio in the front and the prices were very reasonable. I'm sure I'll make it back over soon.

While some of the menu items were an outstanding 5 stars (taro rolls were amazing) some other items (such as the pad thai) were closer to the 1 star rating. I would have thought that a classic like pad thai would have been perfected by now but even the pad thai noodles were overcooked and pasty. The chicken satay was also a dismal 1 star. Overall, some items were great, some were OK and some were sub-par. I don't really like guessing whether my meal is going to be tasty or not so I would not go back.

Stopped here on a Saturday night and luckily it was not busy. Tried the chicken BBQ with a white wine and it was deliscious. The brown rice it came with tasted pretty fresh as well. Hope to come back here soon.

We had an amazing dinner here! We started with the 8 element wraps and potstickers-both awesome appetizers. For dinner we decided on the red curry, eggplant seafood stir fry, and bbq'd pork with cabbage. Everything was delicious. My only complaint is that they charge $2 per dish of white rice-and we didn't even touch a couple of them. Despite that, though, it was a fantastic meal! Highly recommended if you're visiting Napa.

WTF, yelp?! Have you guys tried Thai food in an urban area? If so, I don't understand how this place can be rated so high. Service: 3 stars. The servers were alright, nothing special, but quick. When we asked about their spicy-ness rating, the waitress was really confused. Like people here never get spicy food. Okay, I can see that. Food Quality: 1 star. The shitake spring rolls were alright, the sauce accompanying it was too sweet. My gf ordered chicken pad Thai and out came shrimp pad Thai. Whatever, we thought, we love shrimp. However, the noodles tasted tangy and felt as though they've been sitting there after being boiled too long. BLECH! So back to the kitchen it went. I ordered their one of their specialty dishes, panang shrimp/chicken curry. This came out warm, not piping hot, and was definitely more of a red curry than panang; didn't seem like there was any coconut milk in there. It was edible, but then I rarely return any food. I didn't enjoy the large chunks of carrots in it either. Price: 1 star. This place is totally overpriced. It was $36 for just the appie, my curry, and one beer. I guess the choices of ethnic food in the valley is limited, but that doesn't excuse the quality of this food. I wish we didn't go here. I suppose if you don't have any other Thai food to compare this to this place MIGHT pass as edible; but if you have, AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS, you'll be so disappointed.

Meh, for thai food I've definitely had better. Loved the location/feel of the restaurant and the plates they use are neat. However, the actual food was very very average. The double drunken noodles were pretty oily. The peanut bomb was fine but nothing too special.

    (2)
  • Varsha L.

I loved this place, I loved the outdoor seating! I had the Pad Thai which was very good. Husband had the 10 prawns-also very good and brother had the peanut bomb-also very good! I was only visiting so not sure if I will make it back but I would go back if I lived out there! The portions could have been a little bigger for the price but the food was very good.

I have been to Mini Mango numerous times and have yet to try a dish I didn't love. In my opinion it's the best Thai food in Napa, hands down. Corn fritter is a must! Service is warm and friendly.

  • Hayley M.

The food here is absolutely wonderful! For those looking for "authentic" Thai, you just have to talk to your server and let them know you don't need the food "Americanized" - it helps if you ask for the dishes by their Thai names so they know you really know whats up. I had the salmon over papaya salad - when I asked how it was prepared, and referred to the papaya salad by the Thai name, I was provided with the real deal. It is probably a better summertime location however because the majority of seating is outside on the patio. Either that, or go when it's not too busy so you can sit inside. Hands down, best Thai food in Napa!

The Peanut Bomb was the BOMB!

  • Darryl R.

In the midst of many fine dining but expensive Napa Valley restaurants, this one is a refreshing star. Although small with few tables inside (it is in a small house), the restaurant has some outdoor seating up front. There is easy free parking in the city garage across the street. They have a good wine list for a Thai restaurant. The food is wonderfully prepared and presented in an upscale manner. The peanut bomb was excellent as was the chicken curry and pad thai. Portions are on the small side but the price of each is less than $10. The dessert (choc wonton and coconut ice cream) was a bit disappointing. One in our group could not share due to allergies because the waitress did not know that nutella comes from nuts. The overall bill was above average for a Thai restaurant, but inexpensive for the area. However, we had a wonderful dining experience.

Just now I came across a receipt for MMTB and recalled fondly our accidental visit back in early January. I had guests and we blew into town with a short list of the usual eating shops. Controlled Brownian motion caused us to park across the street. My GF went off plan, got sucked into MMTB like a magnet and I put my list away. We had just completed a tour of SE asia, and the ambiance and menu brought it all home.

Ahh I love this place. This is my go to Thai place in Napa. The outside dining area is perfect when the weather is good. It is small, so it does fill up. The wait staff is pretty good, but sometimes they take a little long for how big the place is. The pot stickers are delicious. Especially the sauce they are served with. It's a vinegar-y, soy, chili sauce. My stomach almost growled just thinking about it. Chicken satay is always cooked to perfection, without being super spicy or peanut-y. The free soup they serve is really good as well, with tofu and spinach. I usually get the pad thai, it comes with fluffy egg, huge prawns, scallions and yummy tofu. It is a little sweet but I am a huge fan. Always good.

Absolutely delicious! My wife and I have dinner here at least twice a month and it's never been anything other than wonderful. The dining room has a great "City" vibe (which sometimes I miss having moved back to Napa). The staff are friendly and attentive. I have to say, my favorite dishes are the corn fritters for an appetizer and the Kari Chiken Curry for an entree. I can almost taste it just writing about it. The other Thai restaurant in town cannot hold a candle to this place. They also make the best Thai Iced Tea I've ever had.

  • Remy R.

Ok, don't get me wrong-- the food here is good, and (most of) the servers are lovely. But DO NOT eat here unless it's warm outside. It's a small restaurant with a patio, and they leave the door to the patio open despite it being about 50 degrees outside. People, including myself, kept having to get up, interrupting our meals, to close the door. When I asked the servers if it was possible to keep the door closed, they either did for the first 5 minutes, or just didn't. One server completely ignored me when I asked-- like, started to listen to me and then walked away mid sentence. Wow. When it's warm-- great place to eat. But for me, experiencing a comfortable dining experience is just as important as enjoying the food. If I have pants, long sleeves, and two jackets on, and I'm still cold, and no one's really being attentive about it?-- not into that.

What a great place! I wasn't expecting much as Asian food in Napa tends to be less than stellar. The name is a little off but the room is pretty and i love the wood on the walls. The service is fine and pleasant but the real treat is the food. The fat noodles (double drunk noodles?) were worth the visit. My kids loved the grilled teriayaki. I can't wait to go back and explore more of the menu.

Drunken double wide noodles nice and extra spicy, pot stickers, herbal tea, coconut ice cream and all kinds of good thangs! great presentation, great outdoor seating, and the service was damn good too! Oh yeah they got them lovely heaters outside

-Pad Thai: hot, prawns were chewy but there was too much sauce and salt; however, it was still good -Appetizer Sampler: samosas were deLISH! potstickers were good and the chicken skewers were alright since they were a tad cold. The spring rolls were tiny

  • Ethan S.

I've eaten at Mini Mango about 12-13 times, and each time it is excellent. You can't go wrong with the corn fritter to start, and the chicken coconut soup is to die for. As for entrees, I've sampled just about the entire menu - everything is tasty, but the Pad Thai and Kari Chicken Curry stand out. Simply put, Mini Mango is Napa's best restaurant in it's price range (about $10-$20 per person),

A little hard to find, but once you get there: Cute outdoor patio, great for summertime dinners! Plenty of free parking! Enjoyed the double drunken wide noodles with prawns (substituted chicken in place of the calamari)

After a good hike in nearby Skyline Wilderness Park, I used Urban Spoon to find this place. Not knowing what to expect...this place was definitely a surprise. This is not your normal Thai food restaurant...more fusion using local Napa ingredients with a healthy twist. Lunch is a bargain w/ most meals under $10, and includes soup. I had the honey glazed pork and my friend had the grilled chicken. Both dishes were marinated to perfection. My dish had brown rice and Napa cabbage, and my friends dish had asian slaw and steamed vegetables... which was perfect for health nuts like us. My one was concern with this place was the outdoor seating because the tables were wobbly... but the food was way too good and I can forgive the wobbly tables. If your looking for a Thai place w/ healthy twist...please check this place out!

Mini Mango Thai Bistro is deliciously elegant and different in Napa. It's secluded behind the Napa Town Center, next to the parking garage, a fitness place, and a bank. Parking is tricky... but worth it. The appetizers are EXCELLENT- start out with the sweet potato samosas, pot stickers, and pakoras. The sweet potato curry, as well as the Cha Cha Chicken, are great main entrees. The desserts are wonderful. They have the best green tea ice cream. The service is fast and wonderful. It's a taste of the Far East out West in the Wine Country! It's Bangkok in the Bay Area.

Our family frequents Mini Mango often. We have NEVER had a dish there that we didn't love! The mixture of flavors, and well prepared dishes will leave you craving it for days to come. The Pad Thai is amazing, as well as all of the curry dishes and their soups. If you have a cold...the Tom Young Prawn will cure what ails you. You will not be disappointed with your meal, and their prices aren't bad. The Thai Ice Tea is to die for. I highly suggest you visit!

Since moving to Napa, I've tried every Thai restaurant in town and Mini Mango is by far the best. The evening staff is always friendly and the prices are very good. The portions are large and the ingredients always taste fresh. They serve a lot of good appetizers but I personally like their Oven Roasted Shitake Spring Rolls. Occasionally they have special spring rolls with other ingredients such as shrimp and pork and they're just as tasty. My favorite main dish is the delicious Kari Chicken Curry. It has a great flavor and the veggies are cooked perfectly. But I also recommend the Drunken Noodles and Pad Thai. Mini Mango can get pretty crowded in the evenings so be prepared for that when you go. Take out is also an option and whenever I've brought food home it's been just as good. Highly recommended!

Just a quick update to say I've been here several times since my first review and have been pleased to find it delicious and inviting every single time. In fact... it's been a few weeks, I think I'll go for dinner tomorrow night :-)

My aunt took me here and oh my goodness, it's SO good! I do have to say though, it's more Americanized Thai food, definitely not authentic. We got the Samosas to start with and despite 4 little dumplings being $7, they were very tasty! I got the vegetarian Pad Thai and my aunt got the Eggplant and mushroom curry dish. My pad thai was delicious, but very different than normal pad thai. It was almost a sticky gooey sauce they used on it, with almost no veggies. But very good nonetheless. My aunt's dish was aaaamazing! The tofu was fried nicely, not too mushy, the flavor of everything was just so good. It's pricey, but if you're in the mood for some American Thai food, go! So yummy, just don't expect authentic Thai.

Before Mini Mango, I'd never had Thai food. I always thought it would be gross or I wouldn't be able to find something I liked on the menu (I'm a picky eater). My mom took me out to lunch at Mini Mango one afternoon and my palate was forever changed! The restaurant is quaint, most of the tables are two-tops (but can absolutely accomodate groups of 4-6 by pushing tables together), I wouldn't recommend very large groups. This would be a great, intimate setting for a lunch or dinner date. The service was fabulous, our server allowed me to take my time figuring out what I wanted without getting pushy or impatient. Reservations aren't required, but would probably be a good idea during the lunch hour, as it's conveniently located in downtown Napa behind the Avia Hotel. The jade curry was out of this world. Just spicy enough to warrant a "spicy" rating, but not overpowering. I've since ordered to-go on numerous occasions, I can't stay away!

We went yesterday for lunch, tried the lunch specials, both were very good. They are very nice people serving the best Thai food in Napa. Fresh veggies, fresh fish, nothing tasted canned or frozen. We will be back, thank you!

One Word: Delicious! I have been to this location before when it was a different restaurant, not one, but two different restaurants. My hope is that this one stays. It is not the most convenient location, though parking is close by and makes it a treasure to seek on the outskirts of the Napa Towne Center Shopping Mall. The inside of the restaurant is small and with every table full, it feels a little intrusive to stand around waiting - better to stand outside if weather permits. I don't know much about Authentic Thai Food, though I do know when I enjoy good food. My husband and I just had lunch there today and really enjoyed it. Looking at some of the dishes being brought out, my husband was concerned that he would leave still hungry. We started off with grilled calamari, which was a nice change from fried calamari. With some spiciness, the cool cucumbers helped when it was too spicy for me (I'm not much of a spicy eater). I ordered the mini mango lovers lunch special for $13.95. A nice size chicken breast with 3 large shrimp atop lovely vegetables and a perfect size scoop of jasmine rice. The peanut sauce was so tasty and I left completely satisfied. Although I thought the price was a little high, I didn't mind paying it since there was nothing displeasing with what I ordered, and that alone justified the price. My husband's ordered the Jade Curry Noodles at $8.95. Prepared with freshly made noodles, chicken and shrimp in a bisque type curry sauce that complimented the dish well - there was enough to satisfy his hunger and taste good too. I am definitely a fan and will go there again. I would recommend you give it a try and see how you like it.

Went to Mini Mango when they first opened with our then 3 y.o. son and we all LOVED it and now go regularly! Being that we live in Napa, we're always torn of sharing our lil' restaurant jewels to the rest of the Bay Area. The last few restaurants, which preceded them in that location (e.g. Bleux Magnolia) were also wonderful, but unfortunately shut down possibly b/c it IS hidden. We TRULY want Mini Mango to stay and succeed for many, many years to come! So Bay Area peeps, this recommendation is Napa's gift to you ;) So if you're fiending for Thai in Napa, you need to go HERE! Mini Mango blows the other 2 Thai restaurants in town away! The Mini Mango owners & staff are wonderful and are very sweet at entertaining our son who simply devours their yummy potstickers and samosas. We thoroughly enjoy the Chicken Cha Cha and Kari Chicken Curry, which have become our staple dishes whenever we go. When we feel adventurous, the other plates we've tried have always been pleasantly tasty and the food presentation is lovely as well! Friends that join us also seem happy and satiated with everything that they order. :) The restaurant size is a bit tight, but the friendly and accommodating staff and happy customers whom surround you as you dine make up for that. Don't forget to finish off your meal with their chocolate wontons :)

Went there for lunch and was very impressed with the menu offerings. I went with the Papaya Salad with Prawns. The salad was fresh and offered vibrant flavors and the prawns were perfectly grilled and tangy. However, for $9.50 I would have expected a larger portion of salad. The service is what brings this rating down significantly. The servers were inattentive and seemed frazzled. I sat for at least ten minutes waiting for someone to take my order and had to flag a waiter down for this to happen. Very disappointing experience from a service standpoint but the food was on point.

Definitely not authentic. Small restaurant, but not overly crowded. The portions were a good size tho. I always love roti prata, and that was pretty good. Pad thai was nothing to rave about. My friend asked for extra sauce on hers and it made a major difference...I should've done the same. We were checked on frequently by the waitress and owner. Nice little business, but the menu needs some working on.

I have been here twice now and like it alright. The coconut lemon chicken soup is my favorite, its delicious. Entrees are swell as well. Outdoor seating is nice and you dont have to emerge yourself into the town of napa. Prices are good and you get the perfect amount of food.

Mini Mango is officially one of my FAVORITE restaurants in Napa. I use to not be a fan of Thai food, but I am now. Every time I go in there for lunch, the owner recognizes me and my boyfriend and gives us such a warm greeting. It's a cute and comfortable spot. The food is outstanding and the service is exceptional! Mini Mango is doing a wonderful job! I am looking forward to my next visit! Can't wait!

We went with four people and tried quite a few dishes to get a sampling of each: Appetizers: Bangkok Pot Stickers, Corn Fritter and Shiitake Mushroom Spring Rolls. All items were good, but the Corn Fritters were great. I've never had anything like them - basically whole white corn kernels formed into pancakes using a light batter. They were drizzled in plum sauce - very good and unique! Entrees: Honey BBQ Pork, Yes! Indeed Pad Thai, Kari Chicken Curry, and a basil chicken dish. Each was good, not amazing. The Pad Thai was best, I think, as it seemed pretty authentic in the fish sauce base, prawns and tofu. The Honey BBQ Pork was not as I'd expected. It was like a flattened pork cutlet with a sweet sauce and a soy-based sauce. I would have liked it to include more lemongrass flavor and tang, and be more charred to bring out the flavor of the meat. The Kari Chicken Curry was a yellow curry with potatoes and carrots - nothing out of the ordinary - that was my least favorite as it offered the most "normal" experience that you could get a much better version of at almost any Thai restaurant. The basil chicken dish was good, though the peas and carrots in it appeared to be your standard cubed variety (which was odd). Given the dearth of good ethnic food in Napa (with the exception of the always-yummy Anna Lien), I'd say go and enjoy. If you want authentic Thai, this isn't the place for you. If you want to have some Thai/California fusion cuisine for a reasonable price, then check out Mini Mango!

Guess I'll never know. Called to order catering for lunch for tomorrow and was handed off by one individual who didn't understand me to another who I couldn't understand, but pretty sure he told me he had no time to talk and I should call back tomorrow morning. I won't be calling back.

We ate lunch here while visting Napa Valley. The service was good but food was below average. We ordered drunken noodles and red curry... and I definitely had better thai food for the lesser price in NYC. If I ever come back to Napa Valley, I will not eat here

Mini indeed, but big on flavor. The wife and I were in Napa this spring and stumbled across the Mini Mango. The spring rolls were a good starter and the spicy basil chicken fired me up. Another review claimed their food was not spicy enough, but not the case here. I can handle spicy, but was sweating...a delicious burn!

Excellent! I went with a group of six people and everyone loved their lunch. It's a bit small inside, but service was very attentive and prompt. Once the weather gets better the outdoor seating will nearly double the seating.

I feel blessed to live 4 blocks away!!! My husband and I are addicted to their chicken cha cha. Absolutely delish! Love their rice - always perfect. And their spring rolls - yum - not doughy and plenty of filling. Finally, affordable, wonderful food that locals can do repeat business with. It's about time. More please! ;o)

Good flavor, nice atmosphere. Can't say it stands out above any other Thai place, especially for the money. Portions average. Wouldn't recommend for kids. Mine found and started playing with a large wad of gum left under the table - GROSS! - Not that it's the restaurant's fault.

  • Lisa J.

Happy vegetarians! The peanut bomb and veggie curry were delicious. We sat outside which enhanced the dining experience considerably. Their outdoor area doubles the size of their restaurant and also has large size heaters making it even toastier. It's a local crowd, not just visitors, which really speaks to the quality of the food.

Really, as good as it gets. 1) Amazing thai flavors. 2) done with such an incredible culinary skill, 3) wonderful people 4)...im thinking perfection....?! We ordered the potstickers (best i have ever had) some sort of roti special appetizer thing, with a curry dipping sauce, that we talked about getting a 2nd order of the teriyaki mixed grill somethin' or other (grilled shrimp and steak, with teriyaki, served with steamed broccoli with sesame sauce) and the red curry with chicken (again, the best i have had). To sum it all up, I cannot WAIT to go back, and am so grateful that I am a local.

How had I not been here yet? Corn Fritters- yes please. Perfect curry, pot stickers that actually had flavor, and a chocolate coconut number that had me wanting to lick the bowl. (I did not do that- but only because the place was packed) Yes, it is a bit amaricanized- but thats fine with me, for food quality and freshness it gets 5 stars, service could be a tad better, but given that it was full on a Monday night, I will give them a pass since they looked a little short staffed. It's tucked away behind downtown, but I am ok with that since that may be how we got a table. It will be the perfect stop after a hard day of grape harvesting this fall!~

I haven't eaten anything elaborate there, and maybe if I do, I'll be more impressed. I've only had the Pad Thai -- on purpose -- twice, and it was consistent both times but it was very flavor-free, for a dish that can be so good. I've been eating and cooking Thai food since 1984 so I am pretty much of a happy Thai food junkie and I always get Pad Thai at a new Thai restaurant to get a feel for how they cook. In this case, it was really disappointing. It's ultra-bland, and very eggy (not really a plus). Usually Pad Thai either tastes of Tamarind or a more ketchup-y flavor and this tasted of neither, just egg. Blah. It's easy to kick up Pad Thai by using equal amounts of fish sauce and fresh-squeezed lime juice, but this appeared to have none of that. And none of the cool Kaffir lime leaves that can give it some really authentic zip. I noticed other diners were eating very interesting-looking dishes as I got my takeout both times; and the presentations were elegant. Other people seemed pleased. I was not particularly, so if I go back again I'll have to get something more interesting and see if they do a better job with it. I do think, coming from the East Coast, that Napa doesn't really know OR do Asian. So in that regard, I took the people at work's reviews who loved it with a little grain of salt. Because as much as they were desperate for Thai to come to town, at least a new Thai restaurant since the ones already here are pretty weak, I wasn't sure they should have been as impressed as they were. Boston, the South Bay, the City, the East Bay: They all know Thai. Napa? Not so much. But again, I'll give it another try...

Just went to Mini Mango for the second time . . . and the last! Was there on Sunday night. Arrived with 4 people at around 6 pm. Got the last table for four (the place is very small) in the center of the room. Within 20 minutes or so people started flooding in, claiming they had reservations, picking up food to go, and crowding an already chaotic situation. The food was ok. Lacked the zing good Thai is known for + the presentation was lacking. My favorite was the Buddha Bowl - a nice warm bowl of good broth with a few vermicelli noodles and tofu. Wasn't supposed to have much zing, so this one worked beautifully. Went back again today - my friend was taking me to lunch for my birthday - and we arrived at 11:45, just on time for our reservation. The place was packed again. No place to sit inside and when the word "reservation" was mentioned, they acted like they were not familiar with the word . . . So we sat outside. The waiter told us a party of 14 would be arriving at the other table in a few moments, so we settled in quickly. Noticing the menu was the same as the other night, I asked for a lunch menu and that look of bewilderment came over their face again. We ordered off the dinner menu - both getting the buddha bowl soup, an order of spring rolls, and a calamari appetizer. At about 12:20 we noticed, along with the table next to us, that our food was taking an exceptionally long amount of time. I went inside to see what I could do about it and the owner, the cook and the waiter all wanted to know what they could do to help me: "Can we take your order?" omg! I explained that we ordered 35 minutes ago, the table of 14 had already had appetizers and was on their main course, and all we ordered was a soup and appetizers! Oh dear, that look of bewilderment appeared again and I went back to sit down. The two ladies at the table next to us left. At 12:45, one hour after we arrived, we decided to leave. We went through the restaurant to let them know : which didn't seem to phase them at all. It was almost a surreal experience -- very odd ! The ridiculously bad service, combined with the tasteless food, screams to me to never go back again! But I do love Thai, so I'm going to give them a month or two to work things out and then I may sneak back in again. In the meantime, I'm going to stick with the Thai restaurants in town that have served us kindly with good food for many years. :)

Mini Mango is the best Thai restaurant I've ever been to (and I'm a foodie local). I've tried almost everything, and have never been disappointed. My favorites are the chicken satay skewers (peanut sauce is absolutely amazing), pad thai (slightly sweet) and the fried rice with prawns. The chocolate wantons and coconut ice cream are dangerously delicious and literally melt in your mouth. Try the thai iced tea as well. Good portion size, always worth the price. Nice owners, always there working. Overall a great local business to support and enjoy.

Lovely patio. Nice music. Service at lunch was good. Pad Thai was good but not great. Two plump shrimp. No chicken. Lots of soft tofu. Still, it's a little pricey at $8.75.

First time in Napa and of all places why did I choose this one? That's because I shouldn't have chose this one. I don't care if it's Michelin Guide Recommended 2011; it wasn't good. That's why it's recommended and didn't make it on the star list. And I most likely would never eat Asian food in this area again. (I do want to try Morimoto's though when I have some money.) It was hot outside as well as inside and no ice water unless asked. Hmm... that just doesn't seem right. I guess it did feel tropical in temperature as I would assume that's how Thailand would feel. Tropical... is that why it's called Mini Mango? There weren't any mango items on the menu. So what's the mini referring to? The size of the restaurant? Which is on the smaller side, but bigger than a hole-in-the-wall. You're serious? Like really. You're serious? Cornstarch in a Pad Thai? Of all the Pad Thai in all the different restaurants I've tried this was the first time there was cornstarch in the sauce that gave the fettuccine-sized noodles this awful gloopy and gloppy consistency. My friend said the tofu wasn't that fresh and I did taste a bit of sourness to it, which wasn't from the sauce. Peanuts were halved and not crushed for those who care. The portion was smaller than most for $9. Just to wrap up, both my friend and I didn't feel too well afterward.

Is there room for an extra star? This is one of the best Thai restaurants I have been to and recommend anyone coming to Napa to try this place. I have had practically everything on the menu and they have all been good. The pot stickers and corn fritters are a great option to start as well as the Tom Yum prawn soup. For an entree, the Pad Thai is a simple, but delicious, choice but I think Mini Mango does curry the best! Try their ten tiger prawn dish, it comes from an old family recipe and is fantastic! Located near plenty of parking, Mini Mango has a small indoor dining room and a decent patio that you walk through when entering the restaurant. The owner and his staff are always very friendly and are quick to accomodate you despite the small space. When it opened, there were complaints of the cold air coming in from the front door due to the proximity of tables but they have remedied this with space heaters and a patio cover.

The best food I have had in a long time. Presentation, ingredients, service, flavors ... 5 stars all the way. Can't wait to go again.! Generally most restaurants can only tempt me with a few items but at least 80% of the menu sounded wonderful. I finally choose Honey BBQ Pork which was the best I have ever had. My boyfriend had a chicken curry dish which also was amazing. Portion size for my dish was way more than I could eat so left overs for lunch tomorrow!!!

I can"t wait to go back and try everything they make! it was so good. the corn fritters to start are worth going alone. Its nice to go to a Thai restaurant where they don't have the same old stuff. And its not quiet and tiny tables like most Thai places. Great service also!

This place is amazing!!!! It's got a cute little ambiance and great friendly staff. The food is so tummy. The Tom yum prawns is spicy and full of flavor. The fried rice is really good but the drunken noodles are the best!!!!

Very nice, clean, quaint restaurant. I am a fan, the owner is readily available, he serves and busses tables. I am a Napa native, and this is one of my go-to dinner spots. Every single dish I have tried at mini mango is flavorful, filling, and affordable. I have been meaning to put my 5 star stamp on this restaurant! I wish more businesses were like this one!

  • Devon J.

The people who rate this down because it's not authentic or doesn't compare to Thai they've had in the city are missing the point. Don't listen to them. The food is delicious. We especially enjoyed the sweet potato and chickpea samosas (which are clearly not even remotely intended to be "authentic" Thai food), my girlfriend said if she could drink a cup of the sauce from the "peanut bomb", she would, and the kari chicken curry was delicious, with fresh-tasting ingredients and nicely tender chicken. I think my only real complaint would be that they tend to lay the sauces on a little too think, and the tap water tastes more than a little off. Seriously, don't go to Mini Mango expecting a perfectly "authentic" Thai experience. Do go to Mini Mango expecting delicious Thai-flavored food. Though I've heard more than once that the Pad Thai is the weak item on the menu.

My wife and I first visited this place on my birthday about three months ago. I was amazed and intended on writing a review then, but got sidetracked. We went back again this evening, and now I just have to let others know how great this place is. Our service was outstanding. The owner came over, said hello and that he had not seen us in a long time. I thought that was great. We had only been in here once, did not do anything remarkable to cause him to remember us, and yet he did. From the owner to our servers - everyone was friendly and attentive. But the best part about this place is the food. I have dined at plenty of Thai restaurants and I can say this is the best Thai food I have had. Appetizers and main courses were incredibly tasty. I highly recommend the ribs on the appetizer menu - they are perfectly cooked with a great sauce. For dinner we had pad Thai and a curry chicken which is part of the standard menu and both were great. If you like spicy food, ask the server for a special hot sauce they keep in the refrigerator and put a little of that on your food - it will add some tasty kick to the meal. The ambiance is nice - the restaurant lies off the main Napa First Street drag, which I actually like because it means there are not lots of folks milling about around the restaurant and as a result, there is not a great deal of walk-by interest. The inside is cozy - not a ton of space, but if you need a bit more room you can dine outside on the screened patio where they have heat lamps in the event temperatures are cool. I should also mention that this place is in the Michelin Guide - and that is no small feat. Just some additional evidence for you to support the case for trying this place for lunch or dinner. You won't be disappointed. We are planning on becoming regulars.

The food is great but the service could be a lot better. Me and my girlfriend were completely uncomfortable. To set it all off... An older woman in the restaurant that I walked past had the nerve to grab her purse. Come on now all Black Men don't steal. There was just an unsettling feeling that I experienced there and we won't be back.

This is a cool little spot near downtown Napa. It's small but it has an outside patio that was closed due to weather. Had the mango chicken dish that was a bit overwhelmed by peanut sauce but friend had the prawn and chicken special that was really good. Samosas were very flavorful and my date liked the short ribs. I liked the atmosphere but it was a bit loud to have a real conversation. Service was great. Waiter was especially nice nice to the goodlooking guy I was with...ha ha. I'm just sayin.. Will definitely go back to see if more dishes make it to 4 star.

I am SO excited Napa finally has a good Thai food restaurant! The samosa appetizers are probably the best thing I've ever had. AMAZING. And I absolutely LOVE peanut sauce tofu which I strong suggest the Peanut Bomb. Since I've had it, I wanted Mini Mango everyday since. So delicious. Definately my new favorite restaurant in Napa!

Tried this place with some girls during a bachelorette party weekend in Napa, it was great. It's small, but cute and the staff was very friendly. Good option in Napa for asian-themed cuisine. Everything we ordered - epecially the chicken skewers - were a hit. A bit pricy given the relatively small portions but overall a good bet. Wine/beer only...

Wow, this place is small, but what it lacks in space, it makes up for in the flavor. The food was phenomenal. I went on a Friday night around 6pm and the place was hopping. I would suggest not going when in a hurry because you may have to wait for a table but it is well worth it. I parked at the garage across the street and walked over.

This place has great food! Double drunken noodle, 5 stars. Salmon curry, 5 stars. Roti is not as good maybe I am comparing it with chinese green onion pancake. Overall this is a good restaurant given its high quality of food and reasonable price. We will definitely visit again!

Gonna be your best bet for vegan in downtown Napa! Samosas were tasty-- have never had them at a Thai restaurant?!?! What they call "peanut bomb" was AMAZING! I think it's usually just called Pra Raam other places Insanely delish curry, I am still dreaming (drooling?) about it Like most places in Napa, a great wine list :)

This has turned into one of our fav`s when visiting family. Downtown is filled with high end restaurants and a handful of mid-priced choices. It is on the small side & can get crowded so we try and hit it between 5 and 6. Even when full we have shared a large central table with others and always have fun. We recommend it and have never had a bad meal here. English is a second language for some of the servers, but that has never been a problem when ordering.

Hoping the food will be better than the service...or lack there of. I was asked once if we were ready to order and he walked away before we could say anything. Than ignored us for almost 20 minutes. The other server didn't even bother to help but said he would get our server. Our server went to at least 4 other tables to talk before he even looked our way. We finally ordered. I asked for a fried egg and he told me "NO it comes on the side"....ok dude just say yes. Talking down to both of us is extremely rude. We ordered 1 hot green tea and 1 hot jasmine tea...we both got something but it's not what either of us ordered. Our food came out but my egg did not, I was rudely told it would be coming. Waiting 10 minutes while my food gets cold I ask the other server and he says he will check. Still no egg, unimpressed. Probably won't come back.

Great service and spectacular food! My sweet boyfriend and I decided to eat here after out opening all around Napa. We actually wanted to try this place out the night before for dinner but got Chinese instead. We ordered the crab puffs and shrimp pad Thai. Yummy! We only ate little because our whole week was filled with binge eating. We both loved the food very much. Wish I could have some now.

Lovely Thai bistro... Crispy tofu squares with peanut and plum sauces... A savory vegetable broth with spinach and tofu and cellophane noodles... And a very yummy tofu pad Thai. This vegetarian was quite satisfied :) Holding memories of another Asian fusion restaurant not so long ago...

Maybe my experience would have been better if I had dined in. Trying to get a phone order in and picked up was quite concerning. The lady was impatient and rude. The guy in front when I picked up kept saying "it's so confusing". Also note that this is FUSION! Not Thai street food which would elude to authentic Thai. Having said that the decor is very nicely done, relative to what you would find at an authentic Thai restaurant. Bon apetit.

Delicious!!! I stopped in for take out...it was ready very fast! I ordered the shrimp fried rice, the chicken peanut bomb and a Thai iced tea. Huge servings-enough for 2 meals for 2 people! 25.00 + tip We loved it all! WIGB??? Yes!!!

Love the authenticity of the food ...try the drunken noodle ...the beef salad ...Manson sticky rice was delicious....they moved locations to Main Street ..larger More modern location but I miss the old space that was a little more cozy.

Really good ramen and calamari. My wife just found this place and we have been back twice in a week. It's a quiet spot and and the food is very good and high quality.

This little red-topped Thai restaurant can be easy to miss on Clay St, but it's been recommended by the Michelin Guide for 3 consecutive years now. The flavors of the dishes are spot on! But my only gripe is that the servers opt to bring all the dishes out at once instead of right after they're prepared - leaving all of our food lukewarm. My favorite was the Asian eggplant seafood. Every bite of scallop, shrimp, and eggplant burst with flavor, and even I snapped up all the vegetables served in it because the basil sauce was so delicious. The princess papaya salad, tiger prawns, and kari chicken curry were solid choices but nothing out of this world. I wouldn't recommend ordering the roti platter, since it only comes with eight super small slices that remind me of a Chinese green onion pancake served with raita and curry. There's only about 15-20 tables (including the outdoor seating), so come early or be prepared to wait for a while before being seated! Seems like our server knew this too, since he kept clearing out dishes while we were still eating them. Verdict: overall, the food was fantastic but the wait and service leaves something to be desired.

We ate at Mini Mango on Maine on Sunday for the first time. The service was great, and their 8 elements appetizer was so very good. I got the drunkin noodles (to much soy for my taste) with chicken and would have given that 4 stars as well as the Tom Yum, but everything else made it worth the 5. My husband got the steak with peanut sauce and it was beyond delicious! I wanted to trade mind for his it was so good. Thankfully he likes to share!

We decided to try out a Thai restaurant while in Napa. Downtown Napa is pretty busy during the weekend and there are long waits at most restaurants. I called ahead and put my name down. The restaurant is very cozy with limited seating. The owner or waiters there are very nice and do their best to accommodate you. For this, I give them a thumbs up. Food for the most part was decent. I'm accustom to authentic Thai food and it wasn't the same. So if you are looking for authentic Thai food, don't come here expecting it.

While visiting Napa we loved the food here so much that we ate two days in a row! Especially delicious dishes we enjoyed were the: budda bowl (light and healthy with lots of garlic flavor), red curry chicken, and pad see ewe. I'd say skip the cucumber salad if it was drawing your eye as it's pretty basic. The service was fast, the food was delicious and affordable, and it's a pretty cute restaurant. We did take-out one time (amazingly all the food was ready in 15 min!) and ate outside another time. I'll be back again!

Great thai food. Perhaps it was even tasty because we came here after a full day of wine tasting and happy hour (And also drank during dinner). Regardless, the restaurant was very accommodating to our big group and also accommodating for us vegetarians. It's reasonably priced, good food and laid back. The Corn Fritters are fantastic. The rest of the food (curries, pad thai, etc) were solid. If I'm craving Thai in Napa, I'm coming here.

First time in Napa and yelped a Thai restaurant. Took a chance at Mini Mango. It was great! Really cool location, easy parking and friendly staff. Got the Massamon Curry and Pad Thai. Honestly the best Thai food I've had. Super fresh and really strong flavor a. And the Pad Thai stayed hot in the bowl the entire meal. Well done Mini Mango.

I've been to many Thai restaurants before but this had to be my least favorite. The food was underwhelming, not much flavor, and even though I ordered medium spiciness, it was still very mild. Adding Sriracha sauce helped out a lot but definitely not one of my favorite restaurants. As for appetizers, we had the samosas which were delicious. I had the Panag curry salmon, my fiancé had the phad Thai and it was too sweet with little other flavor for our taste. L

I know it's probably not recommended to order Thai food in Napa, but I was craving Thai and the reviews here were great. So, we decided to call in an order for takeout. I ordered the Double Drunken Wide Noodles with Prawns as my entrée. I asked for the dish to come without any Thai chili peppers; however, when I received my meal, the noodles were covered in peppers. I asked the host if they could remake my meal the way I ordered it, without the peppers, and the man told me that the drunken noodles were pre-made and there was no way to get this meal without peppers. I'm sorry, but I don't ever want to pay for a pre-made entrée from a restaurant. Not only was this quite unacceptable since any other Thai restaurant I've ever been to has a "made to order" concept, but the dish was extremely oily. Not that I would ever come back here again since I've learned my lesson about ordering Thai food from a smaller area, but I would not recommend it to anyone since this seems to be a place that cooks a pot of food in the morning and serves it throughout the day as orders are placed.

Easily one of the best restaurants in downtown Napa. The prices are very fair considering the portions, quality of ingredients, and preparations. The fish dishes are some of the highlights (especially when they have Sea Bass). The Tom Ka coconut soup is out of this world (it's worth it to add the sea food for the extra umami flavor). The owners are literally cooking the food and taking the orders, which always adds a nice touch. The wine list is well thought out with a wide variety of unique white wine varietals by the glass and bottle to accompany the vibrant flavors of Thai cuisine. The style of this Thai food is a bit more refined an elegant than most Thai restaurants. The restaurant is quite small and I'm not sure if they take reservations but the wait is definitely worth it. Highly recommend dining here for any occasion.

The food is bland and way too sweat for me. Besides, the service is poor. We ordered the salmon curry. The waitress didn't ask how we want it to be done and serve it medium directly. We had to ask her to cook it further after the dish is brought to the table. The waitress is also overly defensive when we casually mentioned that we thought there will be more curry in the dish. She literally lectured us how that is what had been done in the past 6 years and they cook the dishes the way they think it is right blah blah... to sum up, unimpressive food with poor service, and I will never visit again.

Beautiful little restaurant. Pretty small, so I can see this place getting crowded quickly. It's also kind of off the beaten path from downtown Napa, so could be hard to find for tourists like me. Great service...I think our server was the owner, but I'm not positive. He was really attentive and friendly. Prices were all very reasonable. I ordered the Micronesia Rolls and Peanut Bomb. Rolls were probably the best spring rolls I've ever had, and the presentation was gorgeous! Peanut Bomb was fried tofu (I think there is also a chicken option, but I was in the mood for tofu) with a peanut sauce over vegetables and served with rice on the side. Peanut Bomb was pretty good, but those spring rolls are what I really loved! Someone in my party ordered the Corn Fritters. I had a bite and they were also great. I'm sad I live all the way in Ohio, because I would be getting takeout from this place at least 1x a week!

You know that dinner is going to be good when you could smell the curry simmering from a block away. And Mini Mango today reminded me that I am hungry for a good dinner with another co-worker. I actually enjoy a menu with fewer selections that the kitchen can execute perfectly. We decided on: The daily special spring roll ($8.95) stuffed with chicken, pork, and taro served with a side of pickled cucumber and Sriracha, crispy on the outside, tender, meaty, and juicy inside. Their famous Chicken Cha cha ($9.95), sweet and savory with a bit of a kick in the background. The chicken is just a tad tad bit overcooked, but the sauce almost made this a perfect dish, I could eat a tub of rice with this dish. The Peanut Bomb is pretty bomb ($9.95), we opt for the chicken option instead of the tofu. It's one healthy dish with a generous amount of chicken balanced with plenty of spinach coated generously with that rich and creamy peanut sauce. With a bottle of Singha, the dinner went beautifully. If you are a wine person, their selection is decent, especially when Cakebread Sauvignon blanc is on the list. Over all this humble place is charming, fragrant, and welcoming; our server is wonderfully friendly and attentive and the dishes were served up well-timed. Without a doubt this place deserves all 5 stars. Cheers.

Ambiance: Dined at the patio and didn't go inside the restaurant. The patio faces the parking lot/structure but the dining area still felt somewhat cozy. 0.5 / 1 star Service: Prompt and friendly service. 1 / 1 star Food: Tiger Prawns - very nice flavors with mouthwatering citrusy aroma of kaffir lime. The dish came with generous amount of Tiger Prawns. Asian Eggplant Seafood - our server recommended this dish after telling him I was craving the flavors of Pad Kee Mao but wanted rice. The dish is basically stir-fried seafood (shrimps & scallops) with veggies (eggplant, red bell peppers, basil, onions, etc) in sweet/salty basil sauce. Though I could still taste the flavor of basil, by adding miso, the overall taste seemed milder/softer. This dish is definitely more Thai fusion than authentic Thai. 1 / 2 stars Cost Performance: The total for both dishes, 2 bowls of rice and a beer is $39.80 before tax and tip. Not cheap for Thai food but for the area that this restaurant is located, it's very reasonable. 1 / 1 star

Cute restaurant, enjoyable meal, but I would have preferred everything a touch spicier. The corn fritters were a delightful surprise, recommended by our server. They were sweet, but not overbearing, and also a little salty. I probably wouldn't have ordered this on my own but I'm so glad the server suggested it! We also had the chicken cha cha, double drunken noodles, and the kari chicken curry. All the veggies tasted fresh, not overly cooked. The chicken curry had great flavor, but as mentioned I wanted it to be spicier. For dessert, we had the ginger creme brulee. I love creme brulee and enjoyed the lingering taste of ginger. Service was pretty slow, even though the restaurant wasn't very busy on a Wednesday evening. The corn fritters came out pretty quickly, but the rest of the food seemed to take forever. Perhaps it's because they brought everything out at once?

This little Thai Bistro is a hidden gem, for sure and worth a try for anyone in the area who wants to catch a quick lunch and not get caught up in the traffic to the restaurants by the wineries. I chose this place for my group of 10 because hey, I love Thai food! I ordered the Shrimp & Calamari Pad Kee Mao. Well, I didn't care for the calamari-- it was just lightly sautéed so it still had a strong fishy smell. It made me realize that I can only eat calamari deep fried. But the shrimp was awesome. The Thai Iced Tea was good. They had a variety of desserts but since I didn't enjoy my entrée 100%, I didn't feel like indulging in a dessert from there. The servers were very kind and friendly. They came around often to refill our water and drinks which was pleasant and they weren't hesitant when we split the bill (with such a large group).

Was looking for a decent Thai spot to grab some grub and glad we found this place. Cute little restaurant with a great selection of fresh dishes to choose from. I ordered the cha cha chicken and my friend had the double drunken noodles. Both of the dishes had great flavor and tasted fresh and not too oily. Friendly service and reasonable prices sealed the deal. If definitely return.

While Mini Mango came highly recommended by the host of the B&B we were staying at, it was quite a disappointment as far as food goes. Overall, flavors were not quite there for Thai food. We ordered the pad thai and green curry, and both had decent flavor but didn't quite have that special 'kick' of Thai food that we're used to. I do think part of it is that we are spoiled by many good Thai restaurant in the Bay Area so this pales in comparison, but in a place like Napa where there's an overabundance of Italian/French/American, I can see why Mini Mango gets the high reviews. The seating inside is tiny and you will most likely bump elbows with a waiter or your neighbor, but it looked a bit more spacious with their outdoor seating. I will admit, though, that I have never seen Thai food presented so elegantly, so they do get a star for that. Overall, very fair prices (approx. $8/dish) for the location.

Reconsider your plans to go to some expensive restaurant in Napa and head here. This restaurant is amazing. Be aware that their location has moved which is about 1 minute away from their original location. Their interior decoration is beautiful and their customer service is fantastic. I love the facts it's owned by a husband and wife who frequently come out to the main dining areas to check in on their customers. A MUST try are definitely the corn-fritters. They are unbelievably delicious and super addicting. So, beware. You will want to order another and another. We had the Bangkok Noodle Soup and the Sizzling Beef Udon. Pretty much ANYTHING you order on the menu, you will love. Their thai ice tea is very flavorful as well.

So we decided to just go there the day of for my moms birthday. They say we can't accommodate you we have reservations for those tables.. What the f*ck?! Did you not tell me on the phone a week ago that you don't take reservations and now you f*cking tell us you can't accommodate us or even try to give a f*ck for my moms birthday??? Well f*ck your restaurant! I only hope the worst of luck for your unaccommodating as$holes! Negative stars.. And 2 middle fingers up

I wanted to like this place, but the service was not good! The waiter was not listening at all to what I asked about on the phone and answered my question incorrectly. It felt like he was just trying to quickly give me the answer I wanted so that I would come in. Well, I did, and it turned out he told me the wrong thing. So, I ordered something. Once again, he was not listening and put in the wrong order. It felt also like they were just trying to get us to order more and more and more and didn't really care about good customer service. Good wine (Hangtime), good peanut sauce. Won't be returning though. Way better places to eat in Napa, people!

May 7, 2015 Godawful service; very good food. My partner and I waited for over 10 minutes before the waiter finally came to our tiny table in the corner to take our order. By the time our food arrived we scarcely had time to cram it down before our lunch break ended. NOT ONCE did The waiter come back to check on us until it was time to clear our plates. Even if we had time we would have forgone dessert based solely on our service. We will not be darkening their door anytime soon.

We came here for lunch today and it was fabulous! Back when I used to work in Napa I had ordered take-out on several occasions but today was the first time we actually sat and ate here with the delicious food fresh out of the kitchen. Chef and owner Pornchai Pengchareon was our gracious and friendly host and server. Mini-mango serves Thai food which is slightly Americanized - predominantly Thai but with just a twist to the ingredients and presentation. While this might catch some Thai-food purists off guard, we accepted Mini Mango's dishes for what they were - delicious! We ordered: Massaman Tofu - A wonderful concoction consisting of braised tofu in a peanut-curry sauce with onions, potatoes and cashews served with a scoop of rice. I wanted to lick the bowl clean, but thankfully managed to scrape up most of the sauce with my fork! yelp.com/biz_photos/mini… Chiang-mai Grilled Beef Salad - Thai beef salad is for me one of the signature dishes of Thai cuisine and I order it at every Thai restaurant I go to. Mini Mango's version consists of thick, tender slices of grilled skirt steak served on a salad bed with a sweet and tangy chili-citrus vinaigrette dressing. Absent were the spicy chili peppers which most Thai restaurants prepare this dish with and so this version was very different from what I was expecting. While I missed the chilies, the beef was so tender and delicious and the dressing so delectably tasty that we eagerly devoured it to the last morsel. yelp.com/biz_photos/mini… For dessert we had the Chocolate Wonton & Coconut Ice-cream. This confection consisted of a hazelnut chocolate spread fried inside wonton skin and served with coconut ice cream drizzled with chocolate sauce - simply incredible! yelp.com/biz_photos/mini… The total for our meal came to just under $30 before tip. Thank you Chef Pengchareon for giving us a wonderful lunch which made our day!

Decided to finally try this place out with a good friend and was unfortunately disappointed. I would be more understanding if this place were a bit newer but it's been here for a couple years now. So yea awks... We sat outside in the patio and first impressions were good. The patios tiny yet well kept and I was liking the whole colors and feel so far so my one star goes to that. She brought us our menus and to our surprise there were only two pages not even filled with options. We always go to Asian restaurants and never have I seen such little variety I decided on the pad thai she decided on the drunken noodles and corn fritters. I kid you not we were waiting to put our order in for over 30 minutes! They kept on passing by us and tending to other tables around and whenever we tried getting their attention they would turn around. They seemed very hectic and busy with only like 4 tables around us and we were starving! So no variety in food and bad service. Long story short the corn fritters were good too sweet in my opinion but nothing like I've ever had at a Thai place hence one star. The pad thai was a small serving I thought compared to other places. I wished it was seasoned more it just tasted sweet and the drunken noodles weren't bad. The Thai tea was good though. Upon finishing up since other tables around we're done and the place was starting to close up the server made little conversation asking where we were from and such but not once did they apologize for such poor service. Maybe it's because my best friend and I look so young even though we're not? Idk I would like to try this place out again once I feel like it since I feel bad for posting a bad review but the experience was just so terrible.

This place is great, I love thai food and this is my first time here but this place is definitely going on my top 3, it's a shame that they don't have yellow curry but the beef salad was just as good. The customer service was great and it was just a great experience over all. Highly recommendable.

As a reprieve from Italian, American or Mexican food while here in Napa, I decided to eat at a new restaurant. And it was a delight to come across Mini Mango That Bistro. You'd never have found the place on your own, since it's on a side street that runs parallel to the huge mall-like wall of shops along 1st Street. This is a popular place with the locals which gives me a good feeling. In this cold weather, or if you're feeling out of sorts, its a good thing to have some hot home-cooked Thai food. I ate a stir-fry combination of eggplant, scallops and shrimp that came with green beans, cherry tomatoes, shitake mushroom slices, onions and a sweet and spicy sauce. It was so good! I asked the host and he said it was a chili basil sauce in the dish. There was so much flavor and was such a novel taste, I just ate it up. The next day, I returned for lunch and was a bit disappointed with the cup of chicken curry soup ($3.90) which was too salty; and the entree of shrimp with traditional oil and chili sauce which didn't have the great flavor as I hoped from last night. The sauce also was a lot more oily than I liked. The restaurant is tiny with an outdoor patio that seemed quite busy. Heated torchiere lamps keep guests outside toasty.

As one of what, three?, Thai places in Napa, this place is not only the best, but it also is comparable with more Americanized Thai restaurants in the greater bay area...and I think that is saying something! Perfectly mixing the Thai and Napa-cuisine style, the ingredients are all fresh; down to the point that they don't use bamboo shoots, opting instead in the green curry to add bok choy (which was perfectly cooked!). The meat used was hearty and well-seasoned, no overcooked pieces or skimping on the portions. Overall, I will definitely add this to one of the Thai places I'll frequent.

We loved the food and the ambience.. Must try - samosa, coconut veggie soup and drunken noodles.. We also tried the fried rice, the grilled chicken salad.. The chicken salad was supposed to have papaya.. There was no papaya though, but it still tasted good.

Best Thai restaurant in Napa! Great vegetarian options; love the tofu in peanut sauce. Solid wine list. A+ on cleanliness. Wonderful service. Very small place so get here early or at an "off " time. Nice indoor and outdoor seating. Seems to always be closed on Tuesdays. The little corn cake appetizers are delicious! Every time I think about Mini Mango I become hungry and my mouth waters....

The name is true to itself--literally as the portions are small compared with most Thai restaurants .Yes, the food presentation has the Napa flair but other than that, nothing exciting about the 'mini' resto. Papaya salad was loaded with romaine lettuce underneath with 2 shrimps on the side. The thin slices of short ribs were not worth $17. Curry dishes were loaded with potatoes . The biggest disappointment of the night was the way too soggy Pad Thai . Huhh, we went home still hungry . I am not recommending the place to Thai food aficionados.

Great Thai place in Napa. I very much enjoyed their green curry (switched out the beef for chicken). I love how Thai dishes have those green beans with so much snap, perfectly cooked. I also tried the Sizzling Lovers salmon and prawns dish which they serve "fajitas style" on a hot cast iron dish. The glaze was outstanding on that one too. Also, corkage fee was $9 or $10, about the same cost as a glass of wine so if you have some of your own treasures from your day out, bring them in. The patio at night was really cold even with the heaters, so bundle up if you plan on sitting out there.

Delicious Thai food. My boyfriend and I absolutely love it here. The jade curry is my favorite dish right now! The only reason i give 4 stars is the service can be kind of slow because they get very busy and only have two servers. But if you are patient it is well worth it. They also offer take out (no delivery) which is very convenient. Overall it's amazing food and I can't wait to try more. I want to eat there everyday! Sadly they are closed on Sunday and Monday. Definitely give it a try!

The food was so delicious. Since moving to Napa I haven't had any Thai food in over 4 months. I kept hearing about this place from various bartenders in the area. The food did not disappoint! Everything we ordered was delicious, the only problem was the portions were a little small. Most Thai restaurants I have been to the portions are larger for a more family style meal but these were just big enough for one person, no sharing allowed haha Overall a great place to eat

The best Thai place in Napa as well as the only worthwhile affordable Asian place in Napa. The food is always good and the portions are generous. The wines they have by the glass are both extensive and reasonably priced.

Oooh, just thinking about Mini Mango brings a smile to my face as I remember the flavor of the chicken coconut soup! So the place is TINY. The old man and I always choose to sit on the screened-in patio. It's outfitted with heating towers, so it's comfortable even on December evenings (occasionally, a bit too warm, but with the removal of any remaining outerwear layers, it's fine). Never too noisy, although I can't speak for the interior dining room. Efficient, super-quick service. Coursed out well. Absolutely fair prices for Napa Valley. Entrees are perfectly portioned- enough to share or take a little home for a snack. Curry, noodles, rice, tofu, veggies- everything is flavorful and vibrant. 'Small' (for Napa, so that's like only two pages instead of ten) wine list, prices and assortment are decent and fair. We like to get a few apps and two entrees. It's absolutely wonderful, especially when the majority of the area's restaurants are soooooo French/ Italian. I'm literally going to walk over right now and get some of that chicken coconut soup.

After searching the internet for a good Thai place, this restaurant seemed like the best option. Tucked away in the downtown area, it is a smallish place with nearby street parking. What's nice about Napa is the important fact that parking is free on the streets and in the parking structures nearby. The restaurant was very busy with lunchtime diners. The inside of the restaurant is cramped and the best place to be is in the patio area. The patio had a very unusual smell. Reminded me of the streets of Bangkok. I liked many of the dishes and felt that the staff was very attentive. Liked the chicken curry, but felt that the Pad Thai was a bit watery. I'm a little spoiled since I live in Los Angeles. However, if you want a good Thai meal, I would recommend visiting this place. I believe they are opening another shop on Main Street.

Best Thai restaurant in Napa! Having been to the other Thai restaurants in Napa I was leery of trying another one, but my mom talked me into it. My mom had the sizzling udon special and I had the double drunken noodles. Both dishes were excellent. All around us people were commenting about how good the food was. Tip - sit outside otherwise you will end up smelling like the food. The kitchen needs some ventilation. The good thing is they have heat lamps and a roof out there so you should be comfortable.

It supposedly the best Thai restaurant in North Bay. It was good but didn't think it was amazing. The restaurant itself is cute and tucked away in a quiet, residential (I think) area; but it is next to a parking structure. Here is what we ordered: 1. coconut soup: disliked. too salty. over powered any coconut taste 2. pad thai: the bf said it was the closest he's had to the one's from Thailand. 3. chicken curry with rice: pretty good curry but again a little too salty for me. Cute restaurant but the food was just okay.

Yuuuum. We were visiting Napa vineyard. Later stopped at downtown for lunch. We had Pad Thai, Cha Cha chicken and Thai ice tea. They gave us the perfect portion size not too much or little. The taste was very rich. Service was also great for Asian restaurant. Price was also very reasonable!!! If your craving Asian food this is the place.

Roti prata was soaked in oil. Samosa was good. Kari curry was very dry, very less curry. The tofu peanut bomb had less sauce too. So overall the entres lacked flavor.

We visited the Mini Mango with local Napa friends. I was starving after travelling all day with very little to eat so my review may be a little biased. We started with a couple appetizers that were very good - I don't recall the names but one was shrimp served on lettuce leaves, the other was a more traditional spring roll. For an entree I choose my favorite, green curry. This one was unique with a nice mix of seafoods. I ordered it 'hot" and it was definitely not "Thai hot" and more like what our local Thai restaurants in Syracuse would call "medium". The curry was very flavorful and went well with the seafood. The location is really nice with a large outdoor eating area. My only comlaint was they had the patio heaters going full blast on a night that was not even chilly much less cold enough for the heaters. My Napa friends tell me it is my thick Northeastern blood that makes me say this and that generally Napa-ites are wimps when it comes to cold so maybe I'm being a bit unfair in my judgement!

I've been here over a dozen times over the last few years. It's a welcome addition to Napa, it's nice for the locals to have some great food that is under $20 an entree. Throughout the years the service has gotten quicker, more attentive and they somehow manage to work together in a tiny space. The wine list is pretty good, nothing like a crisp white wine to go with the spicy food. My favorites are the Pad Thai, Yellow Curry bowl and the steak salad. All are made with super fresh ingredients, the right amount of seasoning and I love eating it.

Best Thai food ever! I wanted everything on the menu... Just had the 8 Elements Wrap, Peanut Bomb & Pad Thai w/ prawns though. Enjoyed every bite :) I'd make the drive from Vallejo just for their food

Wonderful, fresh food. Ask for Thai Spicy to get med-hit spiciness. They will bring hot pepper sauce if you really want it hot. We loved the basil chicken and the Kari chicken curry for lunch. Perfect! So glad they are moving to new location on Main (check to be sure which location is open when you go.

We've lived in Napa for about 1.5 years and went here for the first time tonight on a whim. We've been to a lot of amazing restaurants, and all I can say about this is "Wow." The flavors of all the dishes we tried were very authentic Thai and rival some of the best restaurants we've visited. My wife started with the Thai Coconut soup and her immediate reaction was it reminded her of being in Thailand. We also tried the pot stickers, Pad Thai and Chicken curry. The chicken curry knocked it out of the park. I brought leftovers home and proceeded to just eat them as a late night snack and was sipping the sauce from the container (which promoted this review). Yes, it was that good. The Pad Thai wasn't quite on the same level but still good. The ambiance is good. Very friendly staff and very lively in the relatively small dining room. We will be back to visit MANY times. This place is a gem and nice break from your typical Napa high end restaurants with the same caliber food.

Mini Mango is a step up from your typical Thai restaurant. Most of the menu is a more contemporary version of Thai classics, the highlight being the Peanut Bomb (you can do chicken or tofu). Just about any of the curries on the menu are tasty as well but nothing that's ever really blown me away. I love ordering a nice Riesling to go with my Thai food but you'll get stuck paying around $30 for a bottle here (bottles that would obviously retail for far less) or a corkage fee (I think it was $10). But that's pretty standard so I always go for it, just about every Riesling we've ordered was fabulous. The heated front patio is the slam dunk for Mini Mango. Lots of room, way more than inside atleast, and TONS of heat lamps to keep you warm. You don't even have to ask for them to move the heat lamps for you they just do it immediately once you've been seated. The pace and consistency of the service is really what makes the atmosphere here. This is easily one of my favorite casual restaurants in Napa.

Bangkok Street Food is becoming one of my favorite places to eat. It is almost as good as my favorite, but about 60 miles closer. Everything that I've had so far on the menu has been really tasty. Don't skip the salads! They are delicioso too.

We ordered take-out tonight and it was fantastic. Loved the chicken cha cha, the pork tenderloin, the vegetables and the pad thai. The service while I waited was awesome. Can't wait to eat at the restaurant next. Great atmosphere.

What a charming restaurant! They have moved locations, which is definitely an upgrade, right on Main St. in downtown Napa. Great food for a great price and the best part is how innovative the creations are. Classy décor, friendly staff (most of all the owner who is a server as well) and quick...QUICK service. The ambiance in here is a nice break from fancy pants Napa, Sit at the window near the entrance on a fri, sat, or sun for some fun people watching! A must go!

Best Thai cuisine in Napa! Each of their sauces are unique & delicate with flavors that burst on you palate like fireworks! Ingredients are always fresh & service is always quick to accommodate, making it my go to place to take out of town guests.

Had a good lunch here. We had the oriental salmon special and the eggplant and prawns. I would eat here again for sure. Nice patio where we sat with the dog and they graciously brought us water for her.

Food is okay, but service is miserable. Busboy spilled an entire glass of water in my lap and no one even offered a complimentary anything to compensate. Waited 15 minutes before anyone took our order. Portions are small. We had to ask for everything twice...getting their attention was challenging in itself. No napkins, no silverware, not a single smile. And pricier than most Thai restaurants.

Long time no yelp! Had a chance to come to this place when I visited Napa for my birthday in October (2012). I read reviews like a good yelper before coming here and found some fellow yelpers saying "the best Thai I've ever had....". NO WAY. They obviously never had Thai food before, I thought. How can there be a best Thai place in the middle of Napa......it was my duty to check this place out. The restaurant is located in downtown Napa. Cute decor with a cozy little patio. I like it! We sat in the patio and opened the menu. Small menu with pricey selections I don't like it! A half star off. We ordered two main dishes, Kabosha ( Yes, they mean Kabocha ) curry and the Seafood special ( I forgot the name of it but it had miso type of sauce). They were both so flavorful and delicious!! The presentation of each dish was so nicely done, you can tell that the chef obviously took time to put the food on the plate. and for curry? mmmm I like it. Only the downside is that they don't give you a lot of portions like other Thai places.... I should take out another .5 star for this! We wanted Mango sticky rice for desert but didn't see it on the menu so we asked the server. She replied " Since mango is not in season, it's not on the menu but we can get you sticky rice with coconut ice cream." My friend made a sarcastic comment " So much for Mango Bistro..." and the server replies, " We don't like to put anything that doesn't taste good on the menu." When I heard this, I wanted to turn around and Bi$@h slap my friend for making such a smart a@@ comment.....they obviously care about what they serve here !!!! 5 stars!! Sticky rice with coconut ice cream was of course AMAZING!! If you are in the area and craving Thai, definitely try this place...you won't regret it :)

This is one of the best Thai restaurant I've ever been to. After an 8 hour drive from Los Angeles, this was the first restaurant I stepped foot into in Napa and by far the most memorable. Service was top notch and the food was incredible. When we arrived, we were kindly greeted and immediately attended to by our server. Even at the late hour we arrived, he was really nice and genuinely happy to hear we were visiting from out of town. It was refreshing to go to a restaurant where the staff is happy and eager to serve you. After a long day of traveling, my girlfriend and I were ready to indulge in some comfort food, pad thai and fried rice. Such dishes are often overly seasoned and oily, but to our surprise, both dishes were super fresh and tasty. The food was not overly greasy at all, and had the perfect balance of savoriness and sweetness. Washing it all down with a glass of white wine was not at all bad either. If you're seeking a delicious meal and a relaxed atmosphere, look no further. I'll definitely be back next time I'm in Napa.

This is, hands-down, my favorite Thai restaurant. My daughter and I enjoyed the: Yes! Indeed Pad Thai - rice noodles, prawns, tamarind, togu, egg, chives, sprouts, lime, peanuts Peanut Bomb - sliced chicken breast (or tofu), steamed veggies, spiced peanut sauce 8 Elements Wrap - grilled prawns, spinach & lettuce wrap, ginger diced, lime, shallot, peanut roasted coconut-palm sugar sauce Delicious food, great service.

The atmosphere was great as the outdoor seating area is tidy and clean. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The food was served hot and the ingredients used were all fresh and well prepared. I had the Chicken Cha Cha and it was tasty. The portion seemed 'fair' (this might be due to my hunger and me wanting more). Just a word of advice, the menu shown on Yelp has changed. I will be back for sure in hopes to add the fifth star.

We had dinner with friends after a long day wine touring. The food was pretty good and quite filing. I got the chicken curry , which they were able to substitute with tofu. We also had the drunken noodles which were very tasty as well. The setting was unique in what appeared to be a converted house to restaurant. Seating was tight, but comfortable. The only thing that caught me off guard was after dinner; The staff was like, we need this table [can you leave now?] which I found a little rude. I totally get it's a small place. We just laughed it off though and enjoyed a walk in the City of Napa after that.

  • The Traveller D.

After seeing so many reviews on Yelp, and being in the mood for Thai food, my co-workers and I sought this place out. It's kind of hard to find, being built out of a converted home, but the trip is well worth it! The atmosphere is very cozy and quiet, and home-like. And while it may not be very good for large groups, our group of 6 fit well. There is an enclosed patio that will accommodate larger groups. The food is exceptional, with all the flavors well balanced. There are options for both meat eaters and vegetarians, and mild dishes along with spicy ones. The appetizers are very generous and great for sharing. The entrees are perfectly sized; not too big and not too small. I had never been a big fan of Thai food, but after this restaurant, I'm sold! It couldn't have been better.

I have always liked the curry here, and the corn fritters too. They do not allow you to change it up much, and no bamboo shoots. But for Napa this place is a find.

I've always loved this place! The chicken satay and the pad Thai are always good. It's a small place, well decorated with a cute atmosphere and a nice outside dining area with these orange umbrellas. Right next to a free parking garage, which is nice. I love this place, its more or less pricey, I'm not sure if I'd recommend it for a big group because it's such a small place but sitting outside would probably be nice. The food is great!

Mini Mango is a great spot in Napa that is a little bit hidden, but a special find for those who discover it! The food is delicious, great Thai flavors with a bit of Napa flair and still very approachable for all palates. The coconut chicken soup and chicken cha cha dish are incredible and worth a trip in themselves, not to mention the great specials and other delicious items on the menu! I always enjoy my meal when I come here! The only things that i think are slightly lacking are 1. The water just doesn't taste good. Is it because it's tap water? Or is it a detergent in the glasses? I don't know but I wish it tasted better. 2. The ambiance. While the place is quaint and cute, it doesn't have a lot going for it in terms of feeling like you're in Napa in a beautiful setting. Decor is very minimal and simple. 3. Service: typically the service overall is good, but during my last visit, my husband waited 10 minutes to get his bottle of beer and further a waitress asked us if we would like to order dessert or if we were ready for the check before we had even received our main dishes... There just seemed to be some miscommunications and a lack of everyone being on the same page. All in all, the food and the nice people there will definitely keep me coming back because there's nothing quite like it in the area and I have enjoyed eating there!

We were in Napa for a weekend getaway and looking for a place to eat lunch, when we found this place on Yelp. The ambiance was nice, but the real surprise began when the food was served. Everything that we ordered was superb. The samosas, with the unique garbanzo filling along with potatoes were amazing and super hot. The veggie soup was also equally delicious, and every entree that we ordered - Drunken Noodles, Fried Rice and Chicken breast salad, were all extremely flavorful and delicious. If I am in Napa again, i will definitely eat at this place.

FRESH! Innovative extremely yummy Thai food. Everything we ate was all thumbs up, especially the 8 Elements WRAP--little romaine lettuce boats filled with shrimp sprinkled with toasty coconut flakes and diced ginger with a palm sugar sauce. YEAH! Now, we have to go back and try the pad thai we saw on the next table as we were leaving!...

This restaurant was absolutely fantastic. The food was excellent, the service was friendly, and there was ample outdoor seating. My main course, the Kari Chicken Curry, was literally the best curry I've had in my life. (And I mean literally in the literal sense, not as hyperbole.) Everyone else in my family enjoyed their dishes too, and the appetizers we shared were also delicious. (Special favorites of mine were the samosas, potstickers, and baby ribs.) Overall, a great find, and reasonably priced too!

Definitely one of Napa's best Asian restaurants, if not the best. This is a big step above a regular Thai restaurant! Beautiful presentations, interesting menu options, absolutely delicious, ...love(d) it! The service was very sweet. Food came super fast. Try the Fritters! Very unique. Super deal in regards to quality of food and price ratio. Restroom basic and clean.

The Thai iced tea was delicious and ingredients were very fresh and clean. We tried the drunken noodles with prawns and liked that it was packed with with yummy veggies and soft, fat noodles. A lot of flavors going on. The restaurant itself was quaint and pretty, the service excellent. The staff very friendly and fast. I enjoyed this experience and will go back to try other dishes.

My absolute favorite go to place in Napa for Thai food. The owner, Me, knows us by name and always asks how things are in our lives. The food is so yummy and the chicken peanut bomb is the best on the menu. I've had many other entrees and they're all good! Prices are the most reasonable around for super good food. Put this place on your list!

The food is fabulous. The service is friendly but very slow. I LOVE their chocolate won tons! I also enjoy the small atmosphere. I've nearly tried everything on the menu and I haven't been disappointed once. Whenever I have visitors from out of town, this is regular stop on the "tour of Napa"!

Very small indoor restaurant space, however outdoor seating was much larger. But it was rainy so we ate inside. It's also dark, so it may pose a problem to read regular menu. Although food was above average, portions were on the smaller size, but better in taste then most Thai restaurants. We were a party of four and we asked if our dish selections were enough, and waitress said it's a lot and our selections were efficient but at the end, the men said they were still hungry. We ordered fried rice, a curry dish, a noodle dish, a BBQ dish and an appetizer. I noticed they didn't ask how spicy we wanted the curry and it was quiet spicy/hot. Thank god they kept refilling our water glasses. Staff was very nice tho. Very smiley too.

A hidden gem in Napa. My wife had Drunken Noodles the width of Highway 80 and I had a slightly off Thai Penang Salmon curry. The salmon was prepared perfectly, crispy on the outside moist and tender on the inside covered with Penang curry. Great flavor. We will be back on our next visit.

BAD, VERY VERY BAD THAI! If you've never tried thai food, then you might enjoy this. BUT, if you have, don't waste your money on this. It's WAY overpriced and not worth it. Even if the entrees were half the price, it still wouldn't be worth it. Me and the BF were only in Napa for 3 nights and I'm very sad we wasted one of our dinner meals on this joint. No bueno. Don't go here, it's really not worth it. I'd much rather have had McDonald's.

This is a great find in Napa. It's a quaint and cozy little place behind the Andaaz hotel so it's convenient and easy to find. I highly recommend this place if you're in the mood for Thai food. The food is so good and the service is impeccable. We started off with the sweet corn fritters which had this plum chutney drizzled over the top. The flavors complemented each other perfectly. For our entrees, we ordered the Pad Thai noodles with tofu as well as the double drunken noodles. I loved the Pad Thai (seems to be a favorite based off of what I was told by several people) but I didn't care so much for the drunken noodles. I felt it was overcooked but the consistency of the extra thick noodles might have something to do with that. This place is very veg friendly, by the way.

DO NOT GO TO MINI MANGO... Mini Mango was one of the most disappointing dining experiences ever in Napa. The service was horrible, my beer was served warm (this is not the UK) and we were outside and the temperature was 90+, the food was grey and flavorless, all for over $100.00. My family will NEVER go there again and will tell EVERYONE we can about our disgusting experience at Mini Mango!

Stopped by this cute restaurant on our way home from a wine weekend getaway. Cozy atmosphere with a sizable amount of seating both inside and outdoors. It was chilly outside when I went and thankfully they had those outdoor heaters to keep the diners warm. As for the food, both of my companions ordered the pad thai--which they equally raved about. I, on the other hand, opted for their beef salad and a side of steamed rice. Unlikely pairing but that's how I roll. I wish they had sticky rice; would have been so much better! The salad was definitely flavorful and seemed authentic in taste. There were nice thick slices of beef on top of a bed of lettuce. The dressing was delicious! Tangy and salty. Great Thai restaurant.

Eaten here three times. Food is OK. "Good" for ethnic food in Napa. Unfortunately they like to ignore their phone in the evening. And because of what I just experienced I will never go back. I was speaking to the owner and she was short and borderline rude. She wants me to call back instead of assisting me on the phone. Unfortunate. I have been calling for weeks (about 5 times) . This is the first time I got a hold of someone. And they didn't want to take my order. So they get my review. Food 2 1/2 Service (in person) 4 Service (on phone) 0 Prices ridiculous. 0 Unfortunately a place can do this in a town with limited variety of food. I would go back if the party of people I was with was already going. Mini Mango I hope business is good because you have lost 5 sales in the last 45 days and a customer for life.

Ok 5 stars after today. I came in for lunch and sat outside on the patio on this beautiful day and was excited to try something different. Though I was sooo tempted to get the corn fritters again I stayed away in order to try something new and Oh. My. God. i found it. The Massaman tofu-curry was hands down the best curry I've ever had. As the giant plate of food was brought to me, I was BLOWN AWAY by the sheer smell of the spices alone. Before I dug in, i took a casual look around to see if anyone else was staring at me in jealously..as I locked eyes with a patron looking at my food he said to me "oh my god I can smell that from over here". yes. it literally filled the air with spices. The red curry was so creamy and flavorful I couldn't of slowed down even if i tried. The menu said that the curry had cardamom in it and it came with a good portion of jasmine rice, and covered HUGE pieces of tofu, potatoes, onions, carrots, and topped with cashews. like i said, hands down the best curry i have ever had!! MAS-SA-MAN! MAS-SA-MAN! i could just shout it from the rooftops

The Thai food served here tastes fresh and delicious. My two faves are the peanut bomb (basically a huge serving of chicken satay) and the corn fritters. Each time I visit I try one item on the menu that I haven't tried before or haven't ordered in a long time and I'm never disappointed. The dining area is small and sometimes the seating is a little cramped, but it's a small price to pay for the good food. Service can be inconsistent: sometimes attentive and other times invisible. If you're in the mood for Thai food this place will satisfy what you crave.

Glorious food! Anyone visiting Petaluma MUST eat here at least once! This was no ordinary thai food (with fusion items). The flavor just burst in everything I ate: corn fritters, shitake spring rolls, sweet potatoe samosas, Buddha Bowl, and Yes! Indeed Pad Thai. What a feast! Moreover, our waiter was very kind and pleasant, and the place was thoughtfully decorated. For vegetarian and vegan eaters: this place is completely friendly to us. You can order everything without fish sauce, etc., and know it will be awesome.

My boyfriend and I were in Napa for the weekend his step-sister's wedding when we stumbled upon Mini Mango Thai Bistro, ironically enough, through Yelp. We are both Asian-food lovers, and with so many good reviews, we couldn't pass trying this place out. The food was spectacular, as in agreement with many of the reviews on here. Starters: We started with the Crispy Tofu Bar and the Oven Roasted Shitake Spring Rolls. The tofu bar (several pieces of deep fried tofu in the shape of bars) came with shot glasses of a peanut sauce and a sweet sauce. Honestly, I could have drank the peanut sauce from the glass, but I wasn't a fan of the sweet sauce (my boyfriend liked it more than me). The spring rolls were absolutely out of this world, to be honest. I've never had anything like them. They were amazingly delicious and I could have had an order or two of them alone for dinner alone. Soup: We shared a small bowl of Chicken Cocount Soup (known as Tom Kah Gai). I actually have a recipe for this kind of soup and make it quite often, however, the soup here had slightly more depth and just had something to it that I can't get when I make mine (probably some secret Thai ingredient. It was pretty much your basic Tom Ka Gai, but not disappointing. My only issue was how small the bowl was and could have used more. Entrees: Both Entrees were very different from the Thai food we are used to having. My boyfriend had the yes! indeed pad thai and I had the peanut bomb with chicken. Although both dishes were simple and your "normal" thai dishes, they were both absolutely delicious and much better quality than anything either of us have ever had. The vegetables were very fresh and the sauce was well seasoned. My dish, which is basically peanut chicken saté, took a simple dish to an entirely new level. Although I only had a bite or two of my boyfriends pad thai, it was definitely the best I've ever had. Dessert: We shared the Ginger Crème Brûlée, which was a perfect way to end our meal. It had very subtle hints of ginger, that you could actually taste (seeing the taste of ginger is usually either lost in a dish or overwhelming if not made correctly). Overall, it was a great experience. I know the quality is better partially because this restaurant is in Napa, versus where I live in Southern California, and that probably forms a bias. Its a restaurant definitely worth trying though, I'd highly recommend it. The only complaints I really have was that the service was a little slow and the restaurant is cramped because of the small space. Other than that, enjoy!

The food was good and service was okay. I just cannot get over the fact that the owner or possibly manager was yelling at one of the servers to hurry up and clean up the table next to us. I just felt bad for the girl and she was already doing her job trying to clear it. The appetizers are small and a little pricey, but hey that's what you get when you eat in Napa. They do have a small, but good wine selection.

I have a five minute "waiting with no menu" limit and even though we were passed by easily a dozen times, we walked after those five minutes were up. I'll forgive a lot, but it will be hard to get me to give them a second try.

Boy, you know, the food at Mini Mango was really excellent. There were some innovative dishes on the menu, including a lamb curry and porkalicious pseudo egg rolls that were just to die for. However, my gripe with this place was the service! Again, we came in with a large party of about twelve, but we came even before they were open to tell them we were coming. They said they could accommodate us, but once we were there, it was clear that they could not handle a party of our size well. I understand that things are a little slower when you're in a big party, but we watched as several smaller parties came, sat down, ordered, ate, paid and left all while we were still waiting for our food. Hrm ... what's that Led Zeppelin song? Communication Breakdown? Yep, that's pretty much what was going on. I don't mean to be knit-picky, but really the service was kind of a deal breaker. We ended up at Mini Mango in the first place because they opened earlier than The Pearl, down the street, and we all needed to be at an event around 7:30. When all was said and done, we probably would have been in and out of The Pearl in about the same amount of time. And all of that is too bad, because like I said, the food was really, really excellent. If I am ever in Napa again, I'd like to give them another try. Just maybe next time I'll head over there with a smaller party.

My first time eating Thai and my boyfriend's second time. I like the location because it's close to downtown but a little removed from all the downtown dining to give a more intimate atmosphere. The actual restaurant is tiny, but it's not uncomfortable and the lighting is perfectly dimmed with candles on each table. It's just cozy and perfect for smaller parties. Each table as some sort of cardboard or paper folded under a leg or two so watch your drinks, because the tables are a bit wobbly! I ordered the Pad Thai ("yes! indeed pad thai" rice noodles, prawns, tamarind, tofu, egg, chives, sprouts, lime, peanuts), he ordered the TeriyakiLovers dish (chicken and prawn skewers with rice), and we shared the pot stickers. The Pot Stickers were to die for. So good, the outside was the perfect crispness, the inside was tender and full of flavor and the dipping sauce was perfect. My Pad Thai, was a disappointment. Very bland even after a healthy dose of soy and rooster sauce. And now looking back, I think it was missing the chives and there was maybe a single peanut alongside a single pea. If there had been more of those flavors it would have been much better. The rice noodles were also a little over done. My boyfriend liked (not loved) is teriyaki dish. The standout of his dish was the teriyaki sauce which was so good we had to ask them where it came from. After the waitress didn't know she asked another waiter, who then asked another--and finally a waitress came over and actually explained to us how to make it. To save us the time, we tried talking her into starting a line of Mini Mango Tariyaki Sauce to sell at the restaurant. She wasn't as excited as we were at the prospect. The prices were very affordable, great wine selection, only one beer (a Thai Beer) choice, and the food was good but not great overall.

Wow! I was so surprised and this could be a new favorite for me. Can't wait to go back. Everything was fresh and flavorful. The portions were great, and ordered a bottle of wine, cotes du rhone blanc, which went with everything we ordered. My girlfriend is allergic to shellfish, and the menu had a lot of shellfish so we were slightly worried that she would be effected, but there was no problem at all. Just delicious food. Can't wait to go back!

Staff are a little rushed off their feet (and they forgot our drinks) but they're friendly, efficient, and the food is delicious. Decent vegetarian selection too.

I am happy to report that things seemed to have turned around for the better and I have had some very tasty meals here recently. It has been consistently very good and I look forward to coming here. The staff has been friendly and the flavors are delightful!

My mom and I where in Napa for the weekend and we were craving Thai Food. I had seen so many good reviews on yelp that we had to try it. This is what we had and comments next to them are 100% true! STARTER: Bangkok pot stickers. These little pot stickers had just the right amount of flavor the sauce they served with it was really good almost a sweet sauce and the texture of the pot stickers where perfect not too soft but had a little crunch. SOUP: Chicken Coconut Soup. At first I ordered a cup and let my mom have a taste she gasped out loud and said "I've got to get me one of those" it was really funny. This soup is out of this world amazing the flavors of the curry coconut and lemongrass bring a well rounded taste to your mouth. I loved this soup and will be getting it again! ENTREE #1- Yes Indeed Pad Thai. Okay I know pad Thai is a "normal" thing to order at any Thai restaurant but let me tell you this pad Thai was the most flavorful and delicious I've ever had here in the US. This pad Thai was just 2nd in running to the pt I had in Singapore! Its not overly fishy or overly spicy it has a perfect balance. ENTREE #2- Tiger prawns with a side of rice. The tiger prawn dish was a curried flavor and it was simple yet perfect. I loved the balance of the curry veggies and nuts in this dish. DRINKS: Thai Iced Tea. Okay I'm going to go a little crazy here but....THIS IS THE BEST THAI ICED TEA I'VE EVER HAD!!!!!!!!!. Ok I'm serious this beverage is out of this world amazing I've had this all over even in Singapore and this place has the best tasting Thai iced tea I've ever had in fact just talking about it is making my mouth water a little bit. If you've never tried it please do yourself a favor and order it!! All in all the food here is fresh and amazing and the atmosphere is beautiful I will be going back even though I live about 40 minutes away in the east bay.

As a Napa local, and having tried other authentic Thai cuisine, I'd have to give this place 5 stars as it is authentic, yet it has the modern wine country ambience to it. The price is reasonable for the high quality food, yet, they provide a generous portion compared to some other try-hard-to-make-it Thai restaurants where they charge you a fortune for a small portion. I was hesitant to go at first thinking that Napa was incapable of having an authentic Thai restaurant, but clearly I was wrong! The service was equally outstanding. I highly recommended if you are in the mood for some Thai food. You HAVE to try the Double Drunken Wide Noodles-best dish of all!!!

I would rate Mini Mango 3 1/2 stars. Three stars for the food, and an extra half star for the lovely outside dining area--which is quite nice! Definitely sit outside if you can; there are plenty of heat lamps. For appetizers, we had an order of the steamed tofu and the cucumber salad. Both were pretty good. The entrees were ok, but we've definitely had better thai food. We ordered the pad thai and the cha-cha chicken. The pad-thai could have used a bit more sauce, and the chicken in the cha-cha chicken was overcooked, and therefore dry. We were impressed with their wine selection: we found a 2007 Whitehall pinot noir for $38--wow!!! The restaurant seems fairly new and has a lot of potential for improvement (both food and service.) They are off the beaten path and a few blocks from downtown Napa, plus they are right across the street from a large parking garage.

This place was pretty good. Although, it doesn't take AmEx so we couldn't expense it... oh well... I had the grilled squid appetizer, which had great lime, cilantro, spicy flavors. My husband got the grilled steak salad, which was also tasty. The Tom Yum soup tasted authentic. I got the drunken basil noodle main course, which was a lot of noodle. This place satisfied a Thai craving, but didn't really wow. Everything was tasty and good, but nothing spectacular. If we were in the area again and craving Thai, we'd probably go back. So... overall, pretty good but not something I would remember in two weeks...

Ten Tiger Prawns. Order them. This is the kind of place where you keep ordering. It is fun to share at this place. Plus they have special thai beer, that is a great accompaniment to the food. Stick with what you know. If you like chicken, order chicken. If you like prawns, order prawns. If you don't like tentacles as part of your calamari, then you shouldn't get that. There will be lots of tentacles. The venue is small so a reservation really helps. The food comes out fast when you order. Yes, the ten tiger prawns. They have always been perfect. The other stuff is good, just make sure you get those prawns.

Nice little spot, made the best of their location. Nice patio seating and busy lunch crowd. I saw two wait staff which was the owner (presumably) and a busser. $10 for lunch is pretty standard around here, but I expect certain things from certain places. 1.) Thai food should be spicy just on principle, but when I request it to be spicy, it should be noticeable. One place I frequent has a five scale spice level which really is the most accurate method I've seen so far. If I have to request extra chiles and Sriracha hot sauce, it shouldn't take 10 minutes after I get my food to arrive. I think checking in after the arrival of the food to ensure satisfaction should be a standardized practice, doesn't take much effort. But we live in an era of short staffing and cutbacks...so I kinda give them leeway on that. The food was good, but didn't have a unique, irreplaceable flavor. I felt like I ate stir-fry from any Asian restaurant. Hardly any basil and skimppy veggies. Not much Thai competition in Napa, so they will do well by default. I don't think its bad, but it's not upholding what a Thai restuarant should have.

The best! I've been here twice with family in Napa, and loved it both times. Everything I've had was delicious and actually quite beautiful to look at. I'd never had curry before my first visit to Mini Mango. Actually, I'd never had Thai food. I made sure to order curry again on my second visit, and to try a different dish...as well as my husband's dish! I'm a convert! Even my husband liked everything, and he is not a man who is open to creative food changes. FYI, I glanced at some other reviews, and noticed that some people prefer spicier Thai food. I do not like food that makes me sweat. But I do like tasty food, I appreciate great presentation, and Mini Mango is worth trying if you do as well. The seating inside is a bit tight, but it's well worth it. When we ate outside, it was cold and rainy, but the outdoor heaters were wonderful. When I'm back in Napa, I'll be sure to stop at Mini Mango again!

It wasn't the best Thai place I have been too in CA, didn't matter that we made a reservation for Valentines day 2014 like the lady told me to when I called. It wasn't long to be seated, but the place is super cramped we sat outside in the middle where all the action is and kept moving our chairs to accommodate the waitress. I had the salmon, which was delicious. I was craving Thai food so it did the job, but wasn't the best, and their sticky rice dessert was ok. For the price overall the food was ok, but the service was lacking to waitresses for indoor and outdoor seating doesn't help. Especially since we were waiting forever just for drinks and food. Would not recommend if you can find another option, maybe just take to go like we saw a lot of people doing, but since I wasn't from the area I didn't know to do that. Since my mother could not eat meat they do have quite a few vegetarian options but the ingredients of a lot of things on the menu seem to be the same with the same sauces. Not much variety overall.

We are very lucky to have an authentic, fresh, creative Thai restaurant in the southeast Asian food desert (now that Annalien is gone - RIP. No, don't RIP - come back, Annalien, Bui Bistro sucks) that is Napa. The food is always great, a menu that changed seasonally and maybe better ambiance and service would give them 5 stars - but the food is terrific.

Hands down one of my favorite places in Napa! The service is so inviting, the owners do a great job in making sure you feel welcome and taken care of. I usually eat family style since the menu is sort of limited as far as vegetarian items. The Thai ice tea is delicious! Definitely try out their specials of the day!

Nice atmosphere and they have a nice patio. The server was very courteous and prompt. I had the Cha-cha chicken. It was delicious. I asked for it medium spicy and think I would ask for more heat next time. It would be nice to get an appetizer or soup/salad with the lunch.

Decided to try this place because of their high yelp ratings. Man the people on yelp got this one right. It's a small, quiet place near downtown Napa. Their shoulder of lamb curry was absolutely amazing. Seriously. I'm thinking about it right now and it makes me want to drive back there just to eat it again. Drool.
