    Unbelievable sushi for the money.

Came here on a Friday night, peak dinner time, and the wait was about 30 minutes which wasn't too bad! I really liked their dragon roll, which had eel, fried shrimp and a LOT of avocado. I also got the Calaveras, Baked Salmon, and Sashimi combo. The Calaveras and baked salmon were alright, there wasn't really anything special. I feel like they taste the same as other places' rolls. I definitely recommend the dragon roll! Also, customer service was really good. They're all very fast and efficient.

This place was okay, it was not that amazing as it seems. When my friend and I got here there was a waiting period of 20-30 mins, so not bad for a Friday night. Ordered the Storm Bringer and Mark's Special, both of the rolls were close to $15 per roll which is a bit on a pricey side. However, I do have to say the fish tasted fresh and the presentation was nice. Looking closely at the ingredients that is inside the sushi the roll was no where close to close to what is expected. Needlessly to say I am not willing to go back here on my accord.

By far the best sushi place in San Jose, CA. It will be my top choice for dinner only if the wait is not that long. Been here a couple of time and need to wait at least 30 min most of the time. Sigh~ Anyways, their sashimi was very fresh and good portion too. I like all of the sushi except the one with cheese in it. Probably because I don't really like cheese.

I never write reviews but this deserves ones! I have been here twice. The first time which was three months ago was great although it took an act of God to get my water refilled. This time was awful. The Orgasmic roll had way too much cream cheese and too much sauce on the top. When it was time for the check, they informed us that they couldn't itemize our food so my friend and I can pay for our meals separately. This is the most absurd thing I have ever heard in my life but then again I was dealing with a ton of teenagers who clearly need to stay in school. Will never return to this place.

the best sushi spot in milpitas. period. is it going to be the best sushi you've ever had? probably not. but it's definitely a good, solid sushi spot. the sashimi is always fresh. The only cons are: -parking hard to find during rush hours. -sometimes, they will run out of fish. one time, they ran out of scallop, uni, ikura and Saba...all in one sitting. that was not a good day for me. -there is always a waiting list, unless you are alone and they seat you at the bar right away. all in all: great, friendly service and solid, fresh sushi. very tasty rolls as well.

Amazing sushi. Must try the dragon roll and pop. The baked salmon roll was pretty good too as well as the secret roll.

Not worth four stars. Really don't get why this place is so hyped up. This review is solely based on some rolls I had for togo. (Storm Bringer, Fuji and Kappa) I feel like the majority of their sushi rolls are variations of a California roll, which I seriously despise. Maybe I came here on an off day but their rice was extremely acidic. Way too much vinegar in this batch :l Couldn't enjoy my sushi because of this.

I came here recently with my boyfriend around 7pm and it was very busy. It took us a while to find parking and we had to circle around a few times to get a spot. It seems like they have a pretty good system in place in terms of service and are able to accurately state when you will be seated. The restaurant itself isn't very big and so people were standing near the entrance area to be seated. We ordered the booty call (so awk to order out loud, btw) orgasmic (also kind of awk), and marks special rolls and the rolls were just okay, and I was a little disappointed because i felt that there was too much of a wasabi taste for the booty call and orgasmic rolls. I actually enjoyed the marks special the most mainly for the scallops on top. Overall, an okay place for sushi, but would probably go to cha cha sushi instead.

This was my first time ordering food at sen dai sushi I was on my lunch break and I needed something fast so I could get back to work on time . I was in the mood for sushi and I looked up the local spot around the area. Sen dai sushi popped and what a great decision i ordered the Philadelphia roll the San Jose roll and a California roll. My order came out in about 15 minutes and it was really good. I would say the time of day was around 2 and the place was not too crowded. The bill was not too shabby either better than other sushi places I have been to which is a great plus. I will be visiting sen dai sushi very soon.

We came here for a business lunch - very crowded (both a good thing and bad). Obviously this place is popular, for such a divey location. Perhaps not the best place to go unless you feel comfortable getting close to those colleagues around you. I went for my go-to-roll Yellowtail Hamatchi. It did not disappoint - for me the quality of the food matters. Missing one star because of the presentation of the restaurant, and the waiter was slow getting the check to us (took 10 minutes) and they weren't checking in on us - perhaps because we were wedged into a corner of the restaurant behind a partisan wall. Definitely a good restaurant!
