This restaurant has much in atmosphere for sure. However, on Father's Day of 2011, ten of us arrived to find that the interior was just as hot inside and outside and were told that all doors are wide open because the AC unit would produce too much humidity. We arrived at 5PM and we left around 730PM and no AC. Now Livermore is not in the plains of the Alaskan fields. It is usually hot to very hot around Livermore so why would any place of business as big as this not have a stand by AC contractor? Probably cost and management didnt want to pay to repair. Would I return? Not even if I arrived and find the same level of heat inside, I would turn around and leave. Pretty lame and dumb excuse. The house was about 40% full of people for we arrived about 5 PM. Yet, there was no apparent effort by the staff to do something about the excessive heat inside. My plate a calabresse was dry, absolutely no flavor, and pretty much tasteless. Others in our group enjoyed their food but most people I find are not willing to express their true thoughts often times. This then was the experience we had with Campo di Bocce Livermore. fdo

Pretty cool spot, a little pricey, but the food was decent and they had a good variety of beers. Bocce ball wasn't as fun as I thought it would be, I guess it gets better the more drunk you are. Overall, I'd probably come back if it's a special occasion, but not just to kill time.

I'll never forget the first time I entered Campo Di Bocce a week after the location opened @ 4 years ago now. I took one look at the rich people rolling Bocce balls around on what looked like oversized bowling lanes (but reminded me of lawn bowling) and wondered why on earth my BF's parents (newly wealthy themselves) always had to take us to these crazy places. On top of the oddity of seeing Bocce for the first time, the meal went horrificly, all 14 guests having at least one issue before the meal was over. None of the mistakes that night could be blamed on our server (or really any of the drop dead gorgeous staff), they were brand new, there were over 300 people trying to dine and play bocce, things were bound to go wrong. We just stuck to smaller groups for awhile. And once I learned how to play Bocce, I really didn't care so much about the rest. I've been to this location more times than I can count, or care too. I've been during wine tastings they've hosted, I've attended a wedding, the National Bocce tournaments, and two John Madden and Steve Mariouchi charity events that Campo holds every year. (Don't get too excited, these events are super elite, VIP access only, unless you are an employee, or have a personal invite from one of the players. I don't get out to Livermore as often anymore. In fact this last visit, I was able to dine and play bocce without bumping into any staff I know. From the stellar service I'm guessing Ben and Lillian still run the show here (Ben is an excellent Somolier as well as an owner and Lillian is the fantastic General Manager they wooed away from Wente Vineyards 3 years ago). It really saddens me reading the reviews of Campo. I don't think they are a fair representation. Most of them are written by a single person who came to Campo with a group of 50 coworkers. Maybe they weren't served first, maybe the guy in front of them took the last piece of the pizza they wanted, who knows. All I do know is none of the reviewers were even from Livermore so it's doubtful their review is based on more than one visit.. I have a hard time believing even one of the 3 star reviewers tried one of the way too amazing cocktails (I like the Luigi Margarita or Pama Lemon Drop best). Or one of the over 50 bottles of wine served by the glass, choices like Rumbauer, Cakebread, Stephen Kent, and Pezzi King being their more common place choices.. All I know is the holidays are coming and Campo Di Bocce is the best place for company holiday parties. Bocce is a great ice breaker and team builder.. And who knows you might get to see John Madden and family dining or playing Bocce while you're there!

Went on saturday to celebrate a friends birthday. FUN is what we had. I played bocce ball a couple of times....but for the most part i watched. drinks were good, as was the food. calamari loved it and the coppino was yummy as well. (wonder if they charge extra for shelling all the seafood?? some places do for an extra charge.) My only downfall is that it's waaaaay out, and at night time it's hard for some to see a friend of mines spent an hour trying to find the place. I'd definitely do it again.

Ate dinner with a game of bocce after. Dinner was pretty good. For our table of 8, we ordered the calamari, manila clams, and fried ravioli to start. I tried the calamari, which was nothing special, and also the manila clams, which were pretty yummy. My boyfriend and I split the chicken picatta (Sautéed chicken scaloppini finished with lemon caper butter sauce, herbed risotto and seasonal vegetables). I was surprised that they actually split the entree and placed them on two plates. Very nice of them. I also got to try the chicken marsala, which was pretty good as well, but I was very satisfied with my chicken picatta. It was light and not too "lemon-y." Since our bocce court wasn't ready, yet, we were comped a dessert platter. It came with cheesecake, flourless chocolate torte, cannoli, tiramisu, and this yummy cake soaked in wine--sooooo GOOD. I loved that one so much so that I saved it for last. I also enjoyed the cheesecake. Our game of bocce went well, except that there was a mixup with our court (we were supposed to be outside and ended up inside), but it all worked out in the end. We had a great pre-Mother's Day dinner. I would definitely go back!

Two weeks ago my dear friend and Liver moron, Sun E. and I embarked on a luncheon excursion, to Campo. The place was empty at 12 noon.. There were all these pretty gift bags lined up-ed so we got a bit of a clue, and were justified in the next minutes by a nice mgr. that told us they were doing a charity private party, Apparently, we missed the sign on the door.. She was quite gracious and we told her we would try again... So. Today was that DAY! We entered. The hostess was on the phone. We waited patiently as she chatted on, giving info to someone, but never paused a minute to put them on hold, to say hello to us. Finally, we are seated by the same Mgr. of 2 weeks ago. The server shows up, some young kid, first time serving ever apparently. And greets us, ( Hi, I am, Insert name, I will be your server today. Can I start you off with some drinks?"), no duh, why else would you be in front of us in that apron? 5 + minutes later he brings h2o and tea with no sweetener. I ask for it, to which he brings me back the standard sug caddy with only 2 real sugar packets.. I ask him for real sugar and he brings it back about 5 minutes later. We had looked on line to decide what to have. Finally 10 minutes later, he shows up and asked us if we were ready to order! ORDER??! like yesterday... Here I am ORDERING spag and meatballs, not prompted for type of sauce, to which I get a both runny on the edge and gooey, goopy tomato jarred sauce in the middle. At Whoa wait a minute 15 bucks? In an off skirt part of town? Seriously?Asks us if we want Parmesan and then takes off for another 10. Short story, Horrible service, had to send the 12 year old to pay the bill and waited another 10 minutes for the change to arrive.. The sauce was way too sweet. Didn't really like it, Ate less than half, and asked for boxes which he refused to bring. Hey I know it is discouraged, but, if A guest asks, you bring the boxes, not argue! Basically we had fun bashing the service, the quality and taste of the food. Big mistakes on service especially when the food was sub par for 62.00. I feel robbed for an expensive, not good lunch outing, and ultimately I blame the Mgr. staff on not hiring some more mature servers to show the young-in's the ropes. Such a shame, the restaurant is appointed well and could have potential.

I am giving this restaurant the two stars for the location, atmosphere and Bocce Courts. The stars pretty much stop there, as the food and service continue to be mediocre at best. We have frequented the restaurant about once every 2-3 months and every time we go back we are reminded why we don't go ther more often. Tonight we went there with 14 people from our family. ($14 *10 on Bocce is $140 just to play!) Originally they had us on one court even though the court next to us was completely open. We had to ASK in order to get to use the other court, which was not being used. The server was not friendly at all- barely responsive to us and seemed to be "put out" by having to wait for 14 people to decide what they want to drink WITH ONLY ONE MENU TO PASS AROUND! The appetizers came out quick and were OK (Fried Ravioli was especially delicious. Next time I would just get that). The bread that came with the antipasto platter tasted like cardboard and was barely edible. The biggest disappointment, however, were the 6 pizzas we ordered at $25 each. They were lukewarm at best, greasy and not cooked all the way. I deceided to try to make this right without having to come here and tell everyone, so I told the manager about the issues with the food, she asked if she could bring us dessert. I hesitated, but after she insisted, I agreed.. So she sent out ONE dessert platter to serve TWO bocce courts, so our family was walking back and forth to cut small pieces off the one platter. I fully expected that after giving us the free dessert she would also comp some of the drinks or food. (Including the extra ravioli we had to order to make up for the bad pizza) but she did not!! The bill came out at the full amount. To top it all off, I had explained to her that the tomatoes on the margherita pizza came out completely uncooked and cold, making the pizza cold as well. She later informed me that it was made correctly and that's the way they are supposed to be. Oh, and also she told me that possibly the "air" on the outdoor Bocce courts was what made our pizzas cold when they came out. Well, if you serve half your food outside, maybe you should come up with a strategy to serve it hot!! I feel that this place has such great potential and we would LOVE to have a wonderful Italian Restaurant on this side of town to go to, but Camp di Bocce continues to miss the mark. From now on, I'll stick to Bocce Ball and Beer. They can't really screw that up, thank goodness.

Is it in Livermore? Wow... by the snooty people in there, I would have thought that it was part of Ruby Hill. Anyway - I've eaten here 2 times in the past. First time I really disliked it. Tried all the appetizers and I can't remember what I ate because they were bland an unmemorable. Second time I had the gnocchi. OK so I make better gnocchi at home by opening up frozen gnocchi and adding some pesto basil cream sauce. It's a shame to have such a nice place and not have good food. Played Bocci Ball many times - can be fun - but it's more of a family and older folks crowd. Last time I was there I went there with a large group of twenty somethings (mid-twenties) and people were staring at us as if we were aliens or something. Guess they like to keep it strictly family and older folks. Anyway - yeah if you don't mind paying 10 bucks to play a 30 -45 minute game of Bocci Ball and don't mind mediocre food, Then this is the place for you - if you want to have something that tastes great and have fun then consider going somewhere else!

The food was fab, the concept amazing, our waitress-- horrible. Let me pull a Michelangeo and paint you a picture. 19 of us gathred for a friend's going away party. Our mission: eat drink and be merry. Food alone was $500. Drinks: I don't even want to go there. We dropped a pretty penny. Our waitress wasn't very sharp. She forgot our drinks, would bring out bread but not oil and vinegar, and we had to operate the heat lamps on our own. After a 3 hour meal (expected) we had lanes reserved for Bocce Ball. It was $10 a person for two hours. Some of us left, we were way too tired to play. I think that if you have a group of 20 people, who spend about a thousand dollars on the tab, you should throw in a game or two... just an idea. Anyway, it was a hit and the food was delish. The service lacked. Small groups would be fun but not ideal for a big event.

Having the game here is totally fun! food is okay...I think the appitizers are good to have while playing a few games! I like how they have people there to train/ teach you how to play. its a good way to go out with friends rather then just sitting down and eating someplace (although they have that here too)

We had friend in from NY and decided to visit and maybe squeeze in a game of Bocci. We started with bruschetta which was very good. I had the pork medallions which were outstanding. My wife had liguine with clams and it was among the best I've ever tasted (with all due respect to my Italian Grandmother who was an amazing cook.) The portions were generous. Too full for desert. We didn't reserve the bocci court ahead of time but they managed to squeeze in some rounds for us. Service was top notch and friendly as well. I look forward to my next visit. We are even considering joining a bocci league.

Went to celebrate a friend's birthday and had a blast. Bocce ball is a FUN game! No real advantage to being male or female, so it was nice to be able to team up with the girls and take on the men without getting our butts totally kicked. Went for the bocce ball - not the food. Appetizers were pretty good - hard to mess up bruschetta after all. Dinner was good - not cheap, but not too bad. We brought our own wine - no corkage fees on Livermore area bottles. I'll definitely go again!

This place is crazy. It has bocce courts inside and right next to your tables. The courts seems to fill up fast, or as least they do no the weekend. The food was very good. I had the chicken parm. and thought it was delicious. The sides that came with it were okay, but they did not wow me. But the main entree was perfect and just the way I liked it. Also if you bring any livermore wine there is no corkage fee.

busy friday night but we had no problem getting seated. yummy bread. food came out pretty quick. they accommodated my request to swap out the pesto with olive oil, did i mention the bread was good? it did take the waitress a while to come back and check in on us but it didn't take way from the experience. I won't object to coming back when we're visting family again

Impressive area and decor. It "wows" you with it's openess and original theme (Bocce). As far as the food goes, it was ok...a little on the pricey side. It's okay to be pricey when your food is really good but I wasn't all that impressed. We had the Calamari, which was actually pretty good. The bread they provided wasn't bad either, although they could've at least prepared our oilve oil / balsamic vinegar for us. I ordered the Pasta Carbonara. It wasn't horrible but I've made better. The hint of wine was a nice touch but other than that, it was a little bland...Not to mention that it arrived at the table dry, which leads me to believe that it had been sitting for a while before they served it to me. My wife ordered the Chicken Saltimbocca sandwich, which didn't come with Prosciutto...WTF? That's the signature ingredient to Saltimbocca! My son's Meat Calzone however, was delicious!!! And then for dessert, I had the Canolli's, which were dry and bland. (I didn't even finish the second one) But my Brother in law said the Tiramisu was excellent. So overall, this place has it's hits & misses. We didn't play Bocce or have a drink at the bar, which seems to be the more popular thing to do. Maybe next time we'll just do that instead.

Went there for my Birthday, thought it would be nice to have good food and a little bocce ball with my friends and family. it took forever to get our food. the food i could have done better at safeway's take out. it was over priced for what it ws and they didn't bring the kids the salid or desset that was promised on the menu. the wait staff wasn't any where to be found they didn't bring any butter for the COLD HARD BREAD we had to steal the oil and salt and pepper from another table. i had to request wine it wasn't offered. and to top it off they didn't do anything for my birthday no chezzy song no cake or ice cream they didn't offer to even bring the desert menu out for us. it took FOREVER to strighten out the check then we we went to play bocce ball and the cost of that wasn't worth the play time. 60 bucks for 6 people to play for an hour or so? get a grip. Don't take anyone you want to impress here... esspecailly for their BIRTHDAY.

I drive by this most mornings on the way home from work, so I decided to check it out. The atmosphere was amazing, as was the food. Our food came very quick, perfectly prepared and the waiter was right on top of things. He went out of his way to make sure my odd dietary restrictions weren't being broken and there was barely a moment between running out of soda and him bringing us fresh cups. He also didn't hover like some waitstaff tends to do, and gave us plenty of time to decide, order, eat and pay. We never once felt intruded upon or hurried The food was amazing and even warmed up well when I brought my leftovers to work, later. The blackberry sorbet I got was delightful and overall everything was amazing!

Just had a team outing at this Restaurant and Bocce field. Totally fun. What is better than eating food, drinking booze and playing a game. It reminds me of Canada. Bocce ball is pretty fun, just like curling. True, I have never curled physically, but I've watched a ton of it on tv. The food was pretty good, pizza, cheese, meats, cheese bread, shrimp wrapped in bacon, veggies, we had it all. Not to mention the wine...not designer but at the best price (complimentary). Anyway, if you don't know how to play Bocce ball, it does not matter, the staff goes over the rules and teaches you how to play. If you don't get it, don't worry, you'll pick it up. Anyway, is not too far away from the Livermore airport and close to the wineries of the area. It was a great time and I would suggest it for any team building activity.

We came here on a Tuesday afternoon and the place was abandoned. Not many people playing bocce on a Tuesday afternoon, I guess. We were taken out to our outdoor court (we could choose; as I said, no one here) and explained the rules of the game. We were brought some drinks and then we ordered food. I can't judge this place if it were crowded because it really was empty. I can't say for sure if it was overpriced. It probably was, but I wasn't paying. I just know that the fried ravioli were delicious and the pizza had a cornmeal crust, which if you know me at all, you know it's my absolute favorite. I probably ate too much pizza. As for the bocce, I wasn't very good at it, but got better as the afternoon progressed. I just couldn't get used to how fast the bocce ball rolls. Crazy! I'm definitely recommending this as a group activity, especially if you don't have to foot the bill.

We had a group of 12 of us go there for a surprise party for a friend... we had agreed to pay $100 each.... for 1 1/2 hours of bocci and appetizers and wine and dinner with dessert. None of use had really played bocci before but that didn't matter. The appetizers and wine flowed freely. I loved the polenta with red sauce and sauteed pepers. The bruschetta will make you ward off vampires from 50 feet away. The bocci was soooooo much fun!!! We were ready to go inside to eat dinner (feeling no pain by that time, I might add!). The penne pasta was very tasty, the veggies were crisp tender (perfect!), the vermicelli was a bit bland... but the meat... OMG... the beef was so tender you did NOT NEED TEETH! Then they brought out the desserts... :) No doubt about it.... I would go back there for more, more, more!!!

Came here for a private party in the small room. It's a nice space for a small party. Appetizers and pizza are good, but the pasta dishes and desserts are mediocre. Bocce ball was fun. Loved that there was someone to explain the rules of the game.

For my 100th review I wanted to go to French laundry but after realizing I didn't have $240 to spend on my meal I instead went to the next best thing, Campo di Bocce. Okay so maybe Campo Di Bocce is not even in the same universe as French Laundry (I know...technically it is), but I had a great time there. Went with my coworkers and we had a blast. We played outside in beautiful weather. Our service was a little absent minded (forgot napkins, beers, etc), but we were the only people there so mistakes were quickly resolved. The calamari appetizer tasted great solely because of the garlic-packed olive oil. My coworkers raved about the fried raviolis. We also ordered two large pizzas, but they brought out two smalls with the knowledge that they screwed up. They let us keep the smalls and still brought out the larges. That's good service right there. The pizzas were also real, deal Holyfield...I particularly enjoyed the Margarita. Bocce is a fun thing to do and Campo does it right.

For the record I am local that "used to" stop in about 3 to 4 times a week . If you are going to play Bocce then go for it and have fun - no worries there - most likely 3 to 4 stars. However if you seeking a place to have a cocktail and or a glass of wine - keep driving........ You will pay for a premium glass of wine $12 to 15 dollars and it will be served in wine glass (small) that is at best "Applebees" grade. This was not always the case until the Livermore manger decided that it was. I heard directly from him and staff on this. Staff personnel are not happy and have lost some local clients me being one. This may sound like a nit to some but check other reviews on the food and customer experience viewpoint. This is a management issue and does not reflect on most of the staff that works there. Now if that is not of a concern to you. disregard my comments and go... for me much better venues within Livermore . IE: Uncle Yu's and or the . Underdog

I like this place. they need a little help on the service department a little slow and a lot of waiters seem to be chatty with other staff at bar. i dont care about there weekend i want my damn drinks and food. If you have the time arrange a time to play bocce. Its a fun game and not as easy as it looks, it takes special touch. I love there big dinner salad. Low corking fee i think 10 bucks. You must try the fried raviolis with marinara souce, Yum a dum dum. Cool for groups, we went here once with our wedding party after a rehersal. We rented the patio and a couple courts, great time. I really like sitting outside its like sitting in a nice backyard, very casual and easy goin.

We arrived here at 6 PM on Saturday after going to a winery in the area. We had no reservation but was told that's quite all right. Seated with a view of the indoor courts and was amazed at how much fun everyone was having. We ordered and loved the prawns appetizer, fried calamari with two dipping sauces, scallops risota, and one of the nights special swordfish. All prepared so well, we did not have the right spacing between our appetizers and main course, Also the wait staff needs to recognize that dining is personal and by giving their names when they first greet the table they will better connect with the customer. They will also get bigger tips as studies have shown. The lively atmosphere was enjoyable at the outdoor bar and was glad to hear that you can smoke a cigar at the outside courts. Great food,

I came here last night for a birthday party. Having never played bocce before, I had a TON of fun! If a guy took me here on a date (it'd have to be a double date of course) I would be impressed. The inside was really large and spacious and pretty. That said, this place is PRICEY. Their menu is PRICEY (but good--we had 3 pizzas and some other appetizers). Their corkage is reasonable ($15--what a restaurant would probably charge) and I'm not sure what their cake plating fee is (though I know they had one). Also, paying $10 a person to roll a ball around for an hour and a half is somewhat pricey (albeit, it really was a good time and I suppose you pay that much to go see a movie). So while separately, everything seems reasonable, it adds up really quickly. I'd like to go back again with my family sometime or for a big group event (it seems like it would be fun for that) but that will require some strategizing so that I don't find myself suddenly out $150 (which can be easily racked up...4 people...even PLAYING TIME is $40) for an afternoon of bocce. It's hard to keep in mind that it's a family establishment as I tend to cuss when my turn does not go well. I'll have to work on that before returning next time.

An interesting place. When we walked in it seemed boisterous, but then we saw that it was a group playing bocce. I enjoyed watching the play while having a glass of wine at the bar, and later while having dinner. But it did not distract us from conversation at the table. The food and service were both very good. We ate inside, but there are tables outside. For something a little different, this is a good place to eat.

We had our rehearsal dinner here as we were getting married at a nearby venue. Our experience was awesome! They can definitely host large groups! We had the outdoor bocce courts including the bar to ourselves for a couple hours to start and then went indoors to a private room for our dinner! The food was excellent. We had different pizzas sliced in to bite sized pieces as appetizers while playing and socializing and then had two different pastas and salad for dinner. The staff was great and we enjoyed ourselves so much we stayed and hung out at the bar afterwards!

Went here for my friends birthday and had a great time. The place is really nice and clean and the bar area was cozy. A really nice place to go if you are looking to have some relaxing fun and catch a couple of drinks. We had some of the pizza which was different but a good choice to have with drinks.

I've been a fan of Campo di Bocce before they opened up in Livermore, back when all they had was their South Bay location. I've been to the Livermore location for date night (2), dinner with friends (6), a birthday party (30), and with co-workers (12). For all these occasions, CdB has come through and met the mark. From the staff, to the court instructions, the food (yummy boar sausage & potato pizza), and the overall ambiance, CdB has it. I prefer this location over the South Bay one because the other one has white powder on the courts which gets all over your shoes and the hem of the pants, whereas the Livermore indoor courts (haven't been outside to the courts) do not. Love where they are located, plenty of parking, beautiful modern building, well-lit, and near wineries.

I went to Campo di Bocce for the first time for my work Christmas party. I had never played Bocce before, so I obviously enjoyed myself. The man that showed us the basics of the game was very nice. We were being pretty loud and cheering for one another, and no one seemed to mind, so that was nice. There is also this cool policy that they have: the waive the corking fee if you bring in Livermore Valley wines to consume. (I think the official policy is up to 4 bottles.) Otherwise, wines from elsewhere incur a fee! I thought that was an awesome way to promote the local wine industry. AWESOME. It is an excellent policy. I had a salmon sandwich for lunch and it was pretty good. I'm sure it was pricey, but it was on my company...so I was happy. We also had some really tasty appetizers while we were playing Bocce. I strongly recommend the fried calamari. So, this place gets 4 stars, especially because of it's policy on waving cork fees for Livermore Valley wines.

Enjoyed a beautiful brunch here today and played some bocce ball too. The food was good brunch-fare: omelet station, prime rib, a few entrees, and tasty lox, bagels, and cheeses. For $29, one gets the all you can eat brunch buffet and unlimited cocktails with several selections to choose from: mimosas, cran/vodka, beer, bloody mary, to name a few. Bocce is an easy game for anyone to play, but tough to be good at it. The lanes outside seemed to play a lot faster than the ones inside. I'm a casual player, but was nice to play outside. They also have a nice shade you can pull over the entire lane outside, so don't let a hot day dissuade you from coming here. The service in the place was fine and efficient and friendly enough. I do think we annoyed our sever a bit though, because we got another plate and sat at a table outside by the bocce courts after we had finished eating at our table inside and closed out our bill. Not a big deal though. This place has a really nice ambience and Livermore valley feel with the architecture and design of it. We were here celebrating our friend's birthday and so glad we finally had a chance to try it out. They have staff on hand to give lessons on how to play Bocce (really simple game) and who are willing to help you keep score, measure, or serve you drinks. So glad we have something like this near us!

This place is hit-or-miss. We've been here about 5-6 times in the past year. While the concept is good it just seems to be a business that is confused, indifferent and poorly managed. The interior smells somewhat similar to a gymnasium to me, but this is an area of debate between my wife and I. The last time we were there we went through the front door and were greeted by someone behind what one would assume was the reservations desk. As we had made reservations we presumed that we should check in there, so after saying hello back we said we were checking in for our party for the bocce courts. He then told us that we needed to check in at the desk to our right. So we did that. The person at the desk greeted us then, and proceeded to not listen after the second sentence, actually saying "could you repeat that?" to my wife. Not because of an accent or because it was an odd sentence, it was because he wasn't listening. Tack on the tone with which he asked for the question again and I considered calling the reservation off. But as we had friends coming we tolerated it. Went to the bar area as we had about 15 minutes until the court was going to be ready for us. It took the bartender about 5 minutes to get from one end of the bar (with two other people there that had already been served). He took our appetizer and drink order without maintaining any eye contact. Again, we had friends coming so we tolerated it. Our friends arrived and we headed to the Bocce court. Asked for a quick review of the rules as we're all relatively new to the game. The teenager who was assigned to our area (curly-ish dirty blond hair, some acne) then proceeded to rattle off the rules while fidgeting, tossing the pallino ball up and down and dropping it several times. Simply put - HE WAS HIGH. And it wasn't weed... not sure what was going on there but it was unacceptable... and any manager that was paying attention would have been able to tell. As our friends and my wife were highly annoyed by his inability to perform his job AT all, I gave him an out and explained the rules as best as I could to the rest of our party as he was USELESS. Things from there were enjoyable. The outside area and courts are great, and the food we ordered was good. Again, though, things were inconsistent. Towards the end I ordered a margarita. It took about 15 minutes to get there, and ended up being the wrong type. They were good about it and said that one was on the house, and went to make me a new one. But the new one came and was neither on the rocks or fully blended with ice. It had clearly been sitting there melting away for a while as the ice was nearly all gone. I sent it back and we wrapped up the visit. This place could be a LOT better. The facilities are nice and the concept is great. The food is better than average. But the service has never been great, and it flat-out sucked this last time, and it has never excelled at it to begin with. Considering the clientele that this place caters to I would expect a lot better, and I can't see us going back at this point. Could we have gone to a manager about all of these issues? Sure. Should we have to at this sort of place? Not a chance. In summary, this is not a facilities problem, it is a personnel problem. This could easily be a 4 or 5-star establishment. I can't even give it two based on how it is now. The owners would do well to shake things up.

They have a great Wednesday special. If you buy two glasses of any wine on their extensive list, you get the bottle. This is a great deal, basically half price wine. The food is decent and the atmosphere is good as well. Salads very fresh with good dressings. It can get very crowded though. A bit loud but fun.

We had our rehearsal dinner (approx 30 guests) at Campo di Bocce. Event Coordinator Rebecka Jewell was fantastic, very responsive which was always my greatest concern during my wedding planning. After a series of email exchanges between the two of us, Rebecka called me direct to finalize some last minute details about my event the day before just to make sure everything was taken care of before she went home for the day. That sort of communication and follow up just goes a long way with me! To add to my delight, our patio table and bocce courts were awesome, with a view of the vineyard just like we talked about months before! Also, the food was very good and the wait staff extremely attentive and friendly. Every single one of them was very helpful and the head staff member was really good about checking in with me on small details like cocktail cut off time and desert serving time. She also had a great suggestion to wait until later after dinner to serve desert court side while everyone was playing bocce. This turned out great, it was a nice surprise for our guests about an hour later right when they were getting a bit hungry again! I just can't say enough about this place! I can't wait to go back!!

Definitely a fan here with their bocce courts and vanilla Italian soda. It can get packed here and just to be on the safe side, call for reservations if you want to play bocce. Otherwise enjoy their delicious Italian dinner and desserts.

Nice place, pretty good food... but what happened to the service here? They used to have a couple excellent bartenders. This time there was a girl more interested in playing dice than serving the 4 or 5 people at the bar. It was about 5 minutes before she aknowleged us. NEVER asked if we wanted a menu (which we did). 20 or so minutes go by... never asked if we wanted food or anything else (playing dice most of the time). When my glass was empty, she took it without asking if I wanted another one. FINALLY asked when my wife's was empty. Too late... we're going to Terra Mia. Seems like the managers should train their staff better. This is not some dive bar where the bartender has time to play games. $13 for two beers? Not worth it when service is bad.

Love this place. Great food drink and fun to play Bocce. I have been coming here since it opened. Great deal is Happy Hour. !/2 price appetizers and drinks. One major suggestion to staff take your food out of cold storage before serving. Everything was a bit stuck to the plate tonight and the olives hard to eat. Otherwise great food and fun.

Bocce was fun. Service and friendliness of our server Jackie was outstanding. Food is just okay - even Olive Garden makes better pasta.

I was a little floored by the reviews that I saw below until I realized there is very little said about the food. The best I saw was "the food is good". Well, I am telling you, the food is terrible. It tastes like something that you could get wrapped up in plastic at a grocery store deli (and not a good one at that). No flavor in any dish we tried. Seriously, the alfredo ( a staple at any italian resturaunt) tasted like heated up cream over pasta. YUK!!! I've given this place 3 chances before I just out and out blasted it. Thats 6 different dishes between by boyfriend and I. We are all done. The seating outside is really pretty but the band that was there on our last visit sang "Go ask Alice" Frank Sinatra style. Ouch!!!! My scoop, eat first and go with a group of friends for drinks and bocce.

Very mixed feelings about this place. Our group wanted to play a game of bocce ball, so we reserved a court for 1.5 hours. Each player is charged $10 It was so much fun, and the 1/2 price appetizers were great. Our dinner experience was not so great. We were seated early, as our bocce game was over. The server took a long time to even get to our table. When the server did arrive, we had all read the menu from cover to cover about 10 times, so we were ready to order. When the server asked if we wanted to get drinks, we indicated we were ready to order. This must have pissed off the server. The server was very non interactive. . The food took a long time to get to us, and when the serving crew brought out the food, they only brought the meals for 4 (there were 5 in our group) they all left without saying a word so we wondered if they were going to bring out the 5th meal? After about 3 minutes the meal was delivered. They should have at least said they were bringing out the other food, and not leave us with the feeling the food order was messed up. Normal service expectation is the server come back to the table to check on the food and if all is ok. The server never came back to ask if our food was ok. In summary Kid's macaroni and cheese, looked like it was easy Mac, and not fresh pasta. No salad or drink came with the meal. The kid's macaroni was supposed to come with a salad and drink, but the server never checked when the order was taken Burgers, they were very dry and not juicy at all. Fries were soggy and bland. Pasta with meat balls was average. Calzone was OK, nothing special. We eventually had to flag down another server (as ours had disappeared) So bottom line is.... Great for bocce ball, 1/2 price appetizers. Not good for dinner. If you are looking for a great burger and real fresh cut fries, go to FAZ in Pleasanton

So I heard John Madden frequents this place. When I first walked in, I was surprised to see all the bocce courts. I didn't really know what bocce was. It was actually pretty fun once we got a hang of it and knew how to keep score. We went for a birthday party - party of 6 - and we started off with appetizers - the bruschetta and the calamari. The bruschetta ($7) was really garlicy, something I don't mind, but Kyle didn't care for it too much. The calamari was pretty good but at $10, it was over priced. Dinner was much better. The heated outdoor patio is awesome. I ordered the Gnocchi Gorgonzola and Kyle ordered the Seafood Cioppino. Both were very good. I thought the gnocchi was the perfect texture, not too soft, and the Gorgonzola sauce was cheesy and the tomatoes tasted very fresh. The Cioppino was even better. Kyle said it was the best he's had - even better than the one he had in Monterey. The broth was spicy and it had a lot of clams and mussels. One of the downsides was that I ordered a Caprese salad and they didn't bring it out. Not that I needed it because I had so much food. The other downside is that its pretty expensive. Luckily, dinner was paid for. For dessert, we ordered the flourless chocolate cake, of which I had none and the ricotta cheesecake, which was one of the best cheesecakes I've ever tasted. I'm determined to make my own version now.

This has to be my new favorite place! went here to celebrate two friend's birthdays and loved it... was a lil skeptical that it wasnt going to be that fun.. iv never played bocce b4 and didnt think i was going to like it... well guess what... i had a blast! i was totally surprised how much hand/eye coordination i have... i did pretty well and caught on pretty darn quickly.. the place was poppin at around 830 when our group arrived and cleared out pretty quickly which was kinda sad... by the time we eneded up playing.. everyone was gone.. no yeah benefit being the court and place was ours however it would have been cool to have folks playing next to us too.. but oh well.. next time will work! my only complaint.. was the food (i give it 2 stars)... now dont get me wrong.. it was ok.. nothing too aweful ...but my mac and cheese was rather bland and no taste. i was hoping for soemthing awesome and was expecting cuse it had prosciutto in it that it was going to be bomb.. well not the case... some of my freind's plates looked awesome and with lots more food for the amount that paid.. whihc was like $2-$3 more... to counter the 2 stars on the food, the dessert was off the hook.. i almost swallowed that tiramisu whole! no joke! it has such good flavor! would DEF save room for a whole one next time! Campo Di Bocce.. thanks for a great birthday celebration and hosting us.. we will see you again!

Took my wife here for her birthday. A total of 9 people with a couple kids. Atmosphere is very kid friendly. No Corkage fee for up to 4 bottles of any "livermore valley" wines...we only brought 2 bottles. Prix Fix menu @ $20 is a plus. I actually ordered their Pork Tenderloin with polenta and spinich. It was very good. I enjoyed the flavor. The staff were pleasant and didn't really bother us while we were dining. Turned out that we stayed longer than expected...got there at 1:00 pm and left at 4:00 pm. Other guests liked it as well. Next time we'll stay and play Bocce. Yes. go and try it out.

We celebrated my moms 60th birthday this past weekend. We booked with an event planner for their court side option. Pizza, spinach dip, calamari and veggies were delicious. Our own personal bocce coach was awesome and accommodating as most of our party had never played the game before. The one down side to the evening that left a sour taste in my mouth was one employee (the manager I assume) who was rude and condescending to people at my party on two different occasions. The first being when we were trying to figure out if our court was ready for us. The woman spoke to my cousin like she was either drunk(she wasn't) or like she was child (she isn't). The second was after we got our court. We had brought in a couple of our own wine bottles. Staff placed them in an ice bucket but didnt open them. Another cousin went up to the same manager asking for a wine opener. She was told that our sever would open it for us and told her we just had to wait. She didnt care we had already waited for over 15 minutes. The way this woman treated my guests make me second guess if i would ever do another party at the restaurant.

Ambiance: 4 stars (Fun and loud, so it's good for family outings or drinks with friends) Food: 2 stars (Very average. My meal was fair, but my companions weren't as lucky. They were very unimpressed.)

Their bocce is fun and the food is wonderful. I love their pork loin. I also LOVE their Wednesday special where if you buy 2 glasses of the same wine you get the bottle for the price of the 2 glasses of wine. Plus they have a wonderful pre-fix menu available M - THU I believe it's M-THU. For a wonderful time and great food you should treat yourself to this great restaurant.

Our firm decided to play bocce as our fun day activity. I must say I was a bit skeptical, but this place is a cool venue. The people are very friendly and helpful. The appetizers were good, but the lunch was a little mixed. My recommendation is stay away from the Oso Bucco, it was not what i expected and I had an upset stomach when I got home. I'd definitely come back for the bocce as its a pretty cool game.

This was the first time I have ever heard of Bocce Ball. I went here for a B-day party . It has a winery atmosphere. The food is Itialian and consists of pasts, fish, etc... We did a predetermined meal for the bday group. We ordered a bottle of wine. the meal started with a delicious salad. Next, on to the pasta, which was pretty mediocre; a plus was the fresh motxarella that accompanied it. Then, finally was the dessert. "Mouth watering", To say the least. After dinner , we went on to play bocce ball. Wasn't sure what to expect, but ut was pretty fun. It is a 5 on 5 game , so come with a big group. There are indoor and outdoor courts, so you can go in any season . even though my entree wasn;t good, I did walk around and see a lot of orders people made that looked really good. I would definitely come back again to try the other food , and BOCCE!!

this is a great place for groups but definitely not for a date or quiet meal. the place is loud and noisy but you are dining in a sports club. it has that feel as many of the indoor courts are surrounded by tables with balls flying all day and night. this place is a law suit waiting to happen. they allow you to dine and drink while playing so look out for a ball to the groin. the food is good and plentiful but you get more for your money and a better time with groups. i love to play bocce ball but this place takes it too far. they offer memberships so you get to play along others who think they are gods gift to bocce. please !!! they also offer live music and band on certain days of the week. grab your buddies and check it out but save some time to check out all of the great livermore wineries.

Came with a group of 27. Reserved in advance and paid a small deposit of $150.00. We got 2 private lanes from 7:30-11:30 with food (appetizers only) beer and wine for $1500.00 including tip and service. Great place for team building for your company. Appetizers included stuffed mushrooms (really good) crab cakes, assorted sliced meats and cheeses, garlic bread and other typical cold plate fare. Good beer list from Guinness to New castle. Wine list could be better. Nice bar area to relax and plenty of parking.

Went for dinner only {no bocce} and we had a great time. Food was reasonable priced with a great prix fix dinner menu. Would recommend for large groups, but not for a romantic night out.

I came here with some friends after wine tasting in the Livermore Valley. It is similar in appearance to the location in Los Gatos, but seemed a bit larger. This location appears to have a larger inside dining area with a comparable outdoor dining area. It was a bit chilly out, but my friends wanted to be seated in the outdoor dining area. The staff was very accommodating and fired up the outdoor heaters and the outdoor fireplace. We placed our order for some appetizers and drinks. There were several groups playing bocce, both at the indoor courts as well as the ones outside. The first appetizers to arrive at our table was the fried calamari, which was excellent. It was piping hot and with just the right amount of garlic, and served with both a lemon-herb pesto sauce and a remoulade. The next appetizer was the bruschetta, which came topped with chopped tomatoes, basil, roasted red peppers, olive oil and wine vinegar. It too was quite tasty and hit the spot. Our last appetizer were the Manila steamed clams. On a cold day these were hard to beat. They were steamed with white wine, garlic, tomatoes and basil. We had to ask for more bread to soak up the broth. We didn't play bocce ball on this trip, but look forward to coming back to try out these courts and other items on the menu.

Came here on a Friday night as part of a catered business party. Twenty people attended for dinner and bocce. We were seated inside and we really enjoyed ourselves. The tables were set up with water and wine menus. The meal was immigrant dining style, so the salads, bread, oil/vinegar were already on the table. It was an all-you-can-eat affair. The main course was spaghetti with a meatsauce. Salad was very fresh with spring mixed lettuces, red onions, tomatoes, parmesan, croutons, and red wine vinaigrette. The spaghetti was good, but pretty standard. An assorted dessert platter included tiramisu, cheesecake, chocolate torte, and an apple pie. We'd reserved two of the bocce courts for after dinner and had a ball (no pun intended). Campo di Bocce is a great place for food and fun. But, with all the games, it is loud, so not a good choice if you are looking for a quiet dinner.

Such a fun atmosphere! Half off appetizers in the bar for happy hour, and Wednesdays you get the bottle is you buy two glasses of the same wine. Great deal. They have heat lamps outdoors but whether dining indoors or outdoors the ambience is great. Pizzas are the way to go; much cheaper than the entrees, though I haven't had an entree there I didn't like.

SLOW service,(maybe I was in a hurry to go wine tasting, dammit people don't you understand I only have a 3 hours left of wine tastings???) Decent food. Fun place to play Bocce ball if I didn't have to do my wine tasting. This place looks brand new.

The facilities are absolutely beautiful. The courts are well maintained, the grounds are well appointed, and the back patio is charming, yet spacious. The food, drinks, and courts are overpriced. The prices would be easier to swallow if the service wasn't SO bad. The food simply isn't good enough to warrant the price and the mark up on the drinks would put airports in shock. The staff seems put out if you require anything. The bartenders lack any level of charm and the waiters are inattentive and borderline unfriendly.

I don't live this far out in surburbia and was not expecting alot when I came here for an evening work event ...I was pleasantly surprised! We had a great time..the food was tasty, we were outside on a warm night with a fireplace-and we had had great fun. Service was good and the facilities were clean and organized. It would be great for families as Bocci is easy for all ages and it has both indoor and outdoor lanes (while I think the outdoor was much nicer). It's a drive if you don't live in the area, but if you are in the area, it's a great time.

Played bocce a couple times, but never eaten there until last night. The service was horrible. I took a date there, and I was quite embarassed because I picked the place. You won't see me there again, for anything. I had the tiger shrimp linguine, it was OK. If you're looking for good service, don't go here.

I guess this place is ok if you like to play bocce while you eat, but I've been there twice now and it's really nothing special. The first time we ate there I had the salmon with pesto crust. The food was adequate, the service slow in the extreme, and the noise level high. The second time I went was on a Sunday night. The food was served lukewarm (maybe because we had a large party), and the service was lackluster. If either the food or the service is exceptional I'll continue to patronize a restaurant, however, this place has neither, so I will avoid going back there.

Man, I'm just getting bad luck left and right with service these past few weeks. After a 6 hour ride from LA, we decided to get some al fresco dining on here. The food was OK but our waiter was terrible. The bus boy was great making sure he refilled our waters and clearing our table. Our waiter (short Latino guy) was no where to be found. I asked for more bread and caught him just standing there daydreaming. When he realized I was staring at him, he finally got our bread. He also pour my wine in my water...WTF? There were some people playing bocce and I could here them complain about not getting their food and it had been over 30 minutes from the same waiter. The bus boy had to get us our dessert menu and looked embarrassed that he had to do our waiter's job. Our waiter took so long to come take our dessert order, we just skipped dessert and left.

Came here for a birthday dinner, made reservations for a group of about 8 people. Got seated immediately (showed up about 15 minutes early, brownie points) and only half us were there. Once we got seated, a waiter approached our table and started asking if we needed anything. Therefore, we got our water, bread, drink orders, and appetizers in very quickly! Very friendly and quick service. I ordered the calabrese which was linguini noodles with spicy sausages in tomato sauce. It was around $14 or so for the meal, which I thought was a bit pricey given the portion and quality. The portion wasn't as generous as, say, the chain Olive Garden, but the quality is a bit better. I really enjoyed my dish, but everybody else thought it was mediocre. The sauce was actually spicy or maybe it was because I added tons of red peppers. Nonetheless, it was spicy and the sauce was plentiful and tomatoey. Noms. Everybody else was not impressed with their foods, thus the other reviews are right on part in that aspect. I ordered the cafe magic for dessert which was disarrono, baileys, and kahlua in coffee. It was strong and had that weird caramel taste my bf didn't like. Finished it. Wished it tasted a little more like coffee with a kick and less like mixed alcohol gone bad. Bocce ball was fun! For $13/person we played for an hour and a half. We were able to get in a game and more in that hour and a half. One of the workers explained the rules to those who never played. It's very easy to learn once you start playing, all you have to do is throw your team's ball as close to the silver ball as possible. All the newbies enjoyed it! Overall, we had tons of fun and enjoyed coming here. Will we be back? Heck yes! Don't set your expectations too high on the food, and try out bocce ball!

I've been going to Campo since it opened. Great atmosphere. I love to sit at the bar and enjoy dinner and a few drinks. The bar tending staff is top notch. And I've never had a bad meal. The Calzone is awesome. And the Sunday brunch buffet is definitely worth the price of admission.

I thought this place had a very original take on Italian restaurants so the atmosphere is refreshing they have the game "bocce" which is a Italian staple game I thought that was really cool. For lunch I had a the Cabernet Sauvignon "educated guess" I liked it but I think I would like to take it a step up from this, It was smooth but a bit mild for my tastes but definitely a good Cabernet. I asked for the seafood specials of the day my waiter was on top of it! I ordered the white cod with a salad topped with goat cheese and i believe it was like a pesto dressing. The only reason I did not give 5 stars was because the fish was cold It looked amazing but it was on the cold side and was a bit flavorless the salad was really fresh and crisp the goat cheese was really good. It had a softness in texture almost like a fresh ricotta but robust flavor that goat cheese usually has. Service was good minus the people at the door. I will give this place a go again and really get into their menu :)

Food was ok. Service was horrible. I said the soda was flat and all they did is keep bringing another one from the same fountain. Umm...did you check the CO2? Waitress took forever to stop by. Drinks took 10 minutes to be served and then they didn't bring them all. When we got our meal with pasta, no spoon. What kind of nice Italian restaurant serves pasta without a spoon? We never got a check until we put the credit card down to pay. Too bad, the ambiance is quite nice.

I've been here twice. The first time was a hoot. I took my staff team there. We laughed. We played. It was great. We had dinner and dessert as well. All was very pleasant. The second time I went with my family. It was equally fun but it seemed like the food was a little less than I remembered it. Portion was fine. Just not as well prepared or. But see, this can happen when the first time set the bar. If I could give it 3.5 I would and I will definitely go again.

We went for happy hour. All the appetizers 1/2 off. The bacon wrapped shrimp were pretty terrific, and the antipasto plate was super. We also tried the caprese salad- lovely. All in all, we had a stellar time here. Love the 1/2 price beer too!

How have I not written a review for this place yet?? My company introduced me to Campo di Bocce (and bocce altogether) a few months ago. They were very accommodating of our large group and were thoughtful in the service and detailing/explaining the rules of the game. I also went with a couple friends on a weekend and took up an alley outside. I don't remember exact prices, but it's an affordable and fun activity. The food is also yum!

My sales manager chose this spot for a team building meeting, which is a pleasant departure from hotel conference rooms. I've never played bocci before, but upon arrival we were given a crash course on how to play. Red ball, green ball, miss! We played for a couple of hours, while noshing on pizza and appetizers. The fried calamari was good and wasn't rubbery. We had a selection of aged cheeses, fruit and veggies. The pizzas were average imo with a thin-crust they went soggy quickly. The sausage and pepperoni went flying, while the grilled vegetable barely moved. The meeting rooms were spacious and well designed. The only drawback is that it can get quite noisy outside. There is plenty of seating space and tables. The staff was cool, and it looked like they some good drafts on tap. I couldn't try any because of the work situation. Sigh. Overall 4-star, a-ok, Azn Fistpump

I came here with a large group of friends for a birthday. There were inside and outside bocce courts. Each court comes with a cute scoreboard, balls, and a side table where you can keep food, water, etc. There are servers who take orders from the courts, which is convenient. There was only one bartender at the inside bar which was slightly irritating because it meant we all had to wait longer than expected each time we went to get a drink. The price of drinks and food was pricier than excepted. All in all, this venue was absolutely beautiful and the staff was very nice. Great place to celebrate a special event or just to hang out with friends.

We had my Dad's 75th birthday at Campo di Bocce today, there were 18 adults and two children. We had a fantastic time! We had two bocce courts, they had someone explain the game then he stayed with us for a bit until we all got the hang of the game. Then we had a family style lunch. Everything was perfect! From Rebecca, our planner, down to each and every server, they couldn't be more nice or more helpful and the food was great! Thank you again for a wonderful experience.

Booked our Holiday luncheon here and from the moment I called our reservation for 14 people they were more than accomodating. Day of the luncheon, the table was already set up and we were greeted by our friendly server. Here is the low down..Sun-Thurs you can get a pre fixe lunch for $20!!! Which is what most of us got..So much to choose from..I got the arugula salad with pine nuts and bell pepper, for my entree chicken piccata with mashed potatoes and dessert was a chocolate torte. Seriously well worth the $20! This is a fun place for a group to enjoy for lunch and bocce.

EXPERIENCE Came here last night for my brother's birthday. We booked a court for eight people at 6:30. We all arrived early to start on time to make the most of our hour and a half time slot, but were told they were still getting it ready. We finally got our court at 6:45, no big deal. We all had a blast. That was until they tried to kick us off the court with 20+ minutes to go. Apparently, they started the timer at 6:30 not the time they actually gave us our court. FOOD The Food alone was decent, but the portions/price ratio was a joke. I've been here in the past at a company party where the drug rep was paying. So I guess money wasn't an issue and the portions were huge. We ordered $200 worth of food and appetizers and were all still hungry afterwards. SERVICE This is a tough one. It was hit or miss with the service. When we were waiting for our court, the bartender was great. Our actual server was just ok. He forgot to tell us they were completely out of an item that we were waiting for. Despite all this, we were all still enjoying ourselves. Then out of nowhere he kicks us our bill and says you guys have 5 minutes or so. SUMMARY As much as I wanted to like this place, they sure do make it difficult. To top things off, I log into yelp to write this review and notice they offer a birthday special.( When is your birthday? Your day is on us. Bocce, Appetizer, Salad, and Dinner. Only valid on your birthday, ID is required.) WTH! Did the birthday cupcakes we asked you to put in the refrigerator not give it away? Offer only valid if you ask for it? WEAK! Save your time and money people! Go BBQ at Emerald Glen Park in Dublin. It's a beautiful park with courts for FREE!

Fried ravioli is pretty good here. Almost like 'The Hill' in St Louis, MO, where deep fried ravioli was invented. I had linguini & clams. Was very fresh, lots of clams & juice. Not at all oily like many places. Reminded me of childhood dinners with grandpa. I would definitely order it again. Wife went off out of bounds and ordered acorn squash with ricotta cheese stuffing. Looked interesting, was alright but she would not order it again. Nice wine list, lots of selections by the glass. Just a really fun place to be, if you want to place Bocce you can but watching it is just as much fun. Looks like a great place to hang out for happy hour.

This was a great change of pace! A raining afternoon after wine tasting, and we stopped in here for dinner. We knew we wouldn't be "bocce-ing" this time and would observe for future reference. We are definitely enticed to return with a larger party on a reserved court perhaps for a birthday. I think in the summer months an outside court will be a beautiful time! Everyone there was having a grand ole time which was fun to watch while we dined. The environment is festive and comfortable. I really enjoyed my Scallops with Herb Risotto. I think the risotto could have been a bit creamier and it had more of a bite than I think it should have, but the scallops were perfect, so ultimately, no complaints! My husband had the fish of the day- Swordfish. He was a happy camper as well. The prices are reasonable and for us, this finished off a wonderful day out in the Livermore Wine Valley.

I loved, loved, loved this place! I would definitely come back and recommend friends! *While I didn't pay for anything and I'm unsure of the pricing, everything else was perfect. We came here for a rehearsal dinner and they had rented out a few lanes, had a few privates tables on the side for wine/ appetizers/personal items, waiters willing to help and drink tickets for their guests. All these things made playing the game fun and learning for the first time oh so neat! The lanes are well kept, nice and very clean. I truly enjoyed playing. The staff throughout was wonderful, attentive, friendly and always with a smile. Later, while we had dinner outside (about 3 tables of us), the service continued to be spot on, friendly, quick and really great. Overall every staff member from the hostess to the buss-er were fantastic. The appetizers were all flavorful, plenty, fresh and really tasty. The dinner was excellent as well, while I forget what we ordered I remember being impressed and the gnocchi was the best I have ever had, with the perfect cream sauce. All the food was really spectacular. Yum! Plenty of parking. Clean, well kept and cute atmosphere. Excellent staff. Great food.

The thought of Bocce Ball sounded like a waste of time and resources but after spending a few hours there playing last week it and dinning on the wonderful pizzas, lamb chops and other items, I decided it was a great thing. Bocce Ball is a bit tricky and I recommend some practice. This is a good place for friends or family to go and spend quality time together, something family and friends should probably do more of. Place was clean and service friendly and stellar. Will go back if in the area.

Fun place to play and eat. I think the bocce is a little overpriced, but I guess you can have 8 people playing for 2 hours and it's about $10 each. Food has been decent, but nothing I would crave to go back for.

I'm teetering between 2 and 3 stars, but I don't feel like my recent experience warrants a 2, so 3 it is. I came here for the first time recently to play bocce and have some food for a party, there were 10 of us total. The bocce is fun, the food is good, but it was really mostly the service that was lackluster. No one was especially friendly or helpful or informative ... the table at our court still had leftovers from the previous group ... it took a while for stuff to come out, it just seemed disorganized. It didn't seem that busy, and it seemed like there was a lot of staff working, I'm not sure what the deal was. In our two-hour rental, the appetizers didn't come until about an hour in, and then the food (pizza) came about 10 minutes later, so it just felt rushed. Maybe it was our mistake to try to eat and play bocce, maybe it's better to do the two separately, or just get appetizers and drinks. But this was something planned in advance -- my friend talked to staff on the phone multiple times, it just seems like they could have made the process more seamless. But enough complaining. The appetizer (a cheese platter) was tasty (not that I had time to really enjoy it -- sorry, more complaining) and the pizza was really good. The bocce itself was fun. I think just trying to eat and play made it hard ... didn't have a lot of time to devote to either. It just felt rushed is the best way I can put it. Anyway, wouldn't avoid this place necessarily but wouldn't put it on my to-do list either.

Came here for a large group dinner and really enjoyed it. The place is really cool, 4 big bocce courts inside surrounded by a dining area. We started with a bunch of apps, the lamb chops were terriffic and the only memorable app. I had the chicken parm for dinner and it was great. A big, tender piece of chicken in a nice red sauce with roasted melted cheese. My wife and bro had the Cioppino and they both loved it. Some of the other people at the table weren't very happy with what the ordered, chicken marsala wasn't that good, neither was the steak. Service was efficient and they showed us the rules for Bocce. We played for a few hours and kept drinkin'. Full bar with the basics and a decent ist of wines. I would definitely go back, maybe I can meet John Madden and talk football, he supposedly is a regular here.

I have contacted Campo Di Bocce for a company gathering.... I was helped by one of there event coordinator whose very accomodating & listened to every items needed for the event. The facility was clean & was greeted by the server upon arrival. The food was great. We had a family style setting. We had an instructor for the Bocce game... It was really nicely

I have been here 2 times for special occasions. . As you enter the building it has such old world charm! I felt like I was Italy! Bocce courts were inside as well as out side the restaurant. Both times I was here for special occasion parties. The first time was for dinner and Bocce ball. We were seated outside next to a welcomed heater. We played a few games of Bocce ball which was fun and returned to our table for wine, and dinner. You can bring your own wine and there is no cork fee if its from Livermore Valley. Food ranges from pizza, salad, pasta and more. Everyone seemed to be enjoying their food. I had to get up from the table 3 times to find our waiter. We needed the birthday cake, check to pay, and as several people put money into the bill were looking for their change. It was around 9:15 pm and most of the patronage had left the restaurant. Did our waiter leave as well? Second visit was for lunch. We were a party of 8. We were the only party waiting to be seated by the hostess/manager. 2 other parties came in after us. The hostess/ manager greeted both these parties around us and seated each of them leaving us standing there! When seated they placed us in a beautiful room. The service was good. The food was over priced and bland for what was to be Italian with rich flavors. The wine was delicious from the Livermore Valley. Maybe if I decide to go back I will get both good food and good service! The third time could be great!

Nice place to go for a night out. Good food and wine selection, plus who doesn't like playing a couple games of bocce (make a reservation for one of the courts ahead of time). Don't worry if you've never played before they have people there to explain how the game is playing for the beginners.

When I walked into the building, the ambiance was beautiful! I felt like I was in Italy! Both times I came here for special occasions. My first experience was for an out doors evening event. We rented one of the Bocce ball courts and played before dinner. This was lots of fun! You can bring your own wine if its from the Livermore Valley. There is no corking fee! Our table was set by a wall heater that keep us some what warm while we eat dinner. Everyone seemed to be enjoying the food. I had to get up to hunt down our waiter when we wanted the birthday cake served. When we were ready to pay, I had to look around for any help I could find so they in turn could find our waiter. It was getting late in the evening. Our party wanted to go home. Third time, once again looking every where I could think of to find our waiter for the extra money owed us after paying the bill. Second time I brought my mom, sister, her family, my bother and his family and my son for lunch the day before Mother's Day. We were the only party standing by the Hostess desk. 2 parties arrived after us. The Hostess/Manager seated both parties before us. The party stepped in front of us and off they went to secure their table..Same thing happened for the second time...how rude!!!! Once seated, the waiter was great! We got excellent service from him. The wine was delicious! The food was blah and expensive for what you got. Maybe if I go back for a third time, the service and food will both be excellent!

If you come here, you must try to sit in Anthony's section! I don't even know this guy and I was so impressed by his pleasant demeanor and attentiveness. Very polite guy and really took care of us - generous pours of wine, great dessert suggestions, etc., We never felt rushed and any requests we had (like decaf coffee at 10pm at night) were not a problem. The food was good- I had a decent butternut squash ravioli that tasted great, but for me there was too much stuff on it - extra garlic, extra onions, sage, butternuts, oil. When it comes to butternut squash, Pasta Pomodoro still reigns supreme. My hubby had a basic pepperoni pizza he seemed to enjoy and we both shared an appetizer of bruschetta. Next time I would order the bruschetta without the feta cheese they put on it because the cheese tasted a little too strong for me. The desserts are KILLER here! We couldn't decide between the cheese cake and the tiramisu, so we ordered both. The tiramisu is one of the best I've ever had - perfect combination of tasty rum and lady finger fluffiness. The cheesecake was drizzled in this balsamic chocolate syrup that was the perfect accompaniment to the fresh strawberries on top. Will be back for sure!

The 3 stars are for the Bocci ball games and the salads that come w/ dinner. The food generally is pretty bad & far from authentic (or tasty). The bocci ball game is worth it though!! My BF and I and his family went for his B-day this year & had a blast. We liked it so much we came back (but skipped on dinner). I WOULD RECOMMEND going to the game and having a salad. Or better yet, eat first, then go bocci :)

I went here for Easter brunch with my family, and being a fan of brunch, I really enjoyed everything they had to offer. Their brunch is buffet style, and they had a good selection of food, they had an omelette station, and best of all...bottomless cocktails! You could choose from mimosas, bloody marys, bloody marias, tequila sunrises, etc. Although they have a cutoff time for drinks after 1 1/2 hours, I thought it was well worth it. I'd love to go here after spending some time wine tasting in Livermore. The atmosphere is great - we didn't play bocce ball, but it seemed like everyone who was playing was having a great time.

Gem of the Hillside What's not to love? Great food, good drinks, and bocce!! It's the only restaurant that's out by Ruby Hills and it's usually packed with fun people! I recently attended the Madden-Mariucci bocce event and had a blast! Down to earth celebs playing for a good cause. Great time, great food, not so great hang-over. Definitely worth it though. We are having our rehearsal dinner here so I will update this review with more information!

Decided to take the family here for the afternoon. Play a little bocce, have some drinks and apps. With 6 adults and 4 kids, 6-10 y.o., trying to all play on one court seemed a little ambitious. Due to a slow time on the bocce courts, we asked the front if the kids could play on an empty court just until they were able to "sell" it. We were told a reservation just cancelled and that wasn't a problem. So, we adults then order food and drinks and played bocce. Our kids would play a little and then come watch us, get snacks, play iPads, etc. All was good until the bill came! We were charged for the kids "use" of the court. We spoke to the Manager, who seemed young and inexperienced, and explained our plight. She didn't seemed concerned that our continued business hinged on her decision to take off the kids charge. So after spending $250 on food and drinks on a slow Sunday afternoon, she refused to take off the $30 kids charge. We really liked Campo di Bocce, but their lack of customer service killed any future visit is from us...too bad!

If your'e looking for a great place to host a meeting, event, or large social gathering, this place seems ideal. You can reserve a couple lanes and enjoy it all with some catered platters. If it's just the two of you - not that awesome. Food was okay. Pizza, appetizers, a booze is always a good combo. I really appreciate the group lesson on how to play the game as we all were just standing around bewildred on how to do it. Bring friends who don't take themselves too seriously or not those who are serious competitive jerks. You know what I mean. This place is more like a bowling alley to me rather then a restaurant. Eat and play, not just eat.

We came here for a birthday celebration on a Wednesday. We made reservations in advance to play bocce. We got our inside court right away but there was some confusion with the servers, so no one came around to teach us the instructions. Well, that's why they created the iphone! Once we googled the instructions we were off and rolling (pun intended). The server felt bad for the mix up and gave us a discount, in addition to the free bocce and dinner for my hubby on account of his birthday. Cant argue with that! Overall it was a really fun night. The food was good (esp the bruscetta) but the pizza crust tasted pretty bland. And the mojitos were sublime!! Will definitely come back, this time Ill try to reserve a court outside.

I love the concept of this place! A classier way to Play and Eat! And the food is AMAZING! Not sure of the costs, but you can also just come to eat without play and they have a decent sized bar. PLUS if you bring in a livermore bottle of wine the corkage fee is free! Looking foward to visiting again!

I love this place. The atmosphere is great and very comfortable. The food is awesome and they provide a wide variety of drinks to chose from including great wines and beer. The game of bocce ball is really fun and easy to play. This place is great for big parties or if you want to just go on a date with a loved one ( or not loved one...yet). I have had company parties here, birthdays, and just came to eat and enjoy the atmosphere. It is pricy, but look where it is located...right next to Ruby Hills...so go figure.

Wow, great idea by my brother to bring our Mom here for Mother's Day! This was my first time to Campo di Bocce and have to say the whole family had a fantastic time! When we arrived for our 11am reservations, the hostess couldn't seem to find our name on the list. Fortunately I had also made bocce ball reservations which she saw. Instead of saying "I'm having trouble finding your reservation (which would upset most customers), she quickly located a table and got the other hostess to seat us. At $29.95 for a nice buffet (including several types of alcoholic drinks-- $24.95=no alcohol), it really was reasonably priced! They had a nice spread. On the cold/salad area they had: pastries, fruit, cheese platter, cold cuts platter (prosciutto and some other nice salami), fresh mozzarella balls, a couple types of green salads, large shrimp cocktail, smoked salmon and locks. Hot foods consisted of Belgian waffles, sausage, bacon eggs, potatoes, a pasta dish and a carving station with prime rib and turkey. Also there was an omelet station and big dessert table with tiramisu and a very tasty vanilla bean cheesecake. So light! Only complaint was with the waffles which were somewhat hard. Everything else was delicious. I was a fan of the jumbo shrimp! As for bocce ball after brunch, it was a great time. I thought we would want to leave after one hour, but instead we played up until the last minute of our 1.5 hour court reservation. A great family event! Also, must note that the bocce "coach", Kevin was a great character! Explained the rules clearly and was very helpful. I plan to be back.

I just ate my first meal at Campo di Bocce, and I am already looking forward to my next! This place was so much fun! My meal was delicious (linguine with clam sauce), and my hubby and friend loved theirs, too. (Both had pork medallions.) The service was good, the atmosphere was cheery, and the prices were reasonable. We played Bocce for the first time, and had a ball! What a great place to bring out of town guests, which I look forward to doing again. Updated 4/16/12: Campo di Bocce has lived up to my earlier review. We've been there several times and have loved it each time. We recently went on my hubby's birthday and the bitrthday boy ate for free!

For our wedding rehearsal lunch I wanted to pick the perfect place for our family and friends and Campo di Bocce definitely delivered! Here are some of the highlights: - Super convenient location! Since our wedding was taking place at Casa Real we did our ceremony rehearsal with the bridal party and afterwards went right across the street for lunch :) - Great customer service. I worked with Rebecca to plan something for our 50-something guests (# not ages) and she was amazing! Very accommodating and patient since I had a few special requests for our lunch. Plus, all of our servers on the day-of were spot on making sure that everyone was full and having fun. - The food was delicious! Yummy appetizers, hearty pastas, and the perfect desserts to cap off our afternoon. Everything was served family-style which is my favorite type of service and we even got to use the private room for our party. All in all, it was truly a surprising value considering the cost. My only regret... that we didn't play any bocce! Bottom Line: Perfect venue for a rehearsal lunch/dinner!

The food was good to great for American Italian in the East Bay. The atmosphere was fun and likely our new favorite place to take people when they visit. The service was pleasant and attentive when available. They need to work on either staffing for larger crowds as well as small tables or adjust wait staff workload accordingly. We would have ordered dessert, however with two small children you can't be left sitting once the plates are cleared hoping someone will return to either offer it or a bill. We had to ask. Not a good sign at dinner costing $75 for 1 starter, 2 entrees, 1 kids pasta and an iced T some improvements should be made. Overall we are fans currently.

Went here yesterday and its was really bomb! I had the meat calzone which is the size of like half a ps3 and jesus(buddha, muhammed) it was delicious!! it was stuffed with alot of meat and the sauce was superb. my sister got a lasagna which was pretty bomb as well and everyone else enjoyed there stuff. The bread they give you is dope and is super soft and warm. The restroom is clean and the service is friendly and they know what they're doing. The ONLY thing I'd have to complain about is the price which might be high for some people. Other then that, pure awesomeness.

My husband and I had lunch here, yesterday. The food was very good but the service SUCKED!!!! The only reason that I am rating it with 2 stars is because the food was good. The only criticism for the food was the watery butter lettuce we had with one of the salads. The lettuce was very nice as well as the other items in the salad, but it was very watery to the point that it ran into the dressing and watered down the entire salad plate. Word of advice to the chefs, try drying the lettuce as best as you can to avoid this snaffoo. As for the service, our waitress was so inattentive that it was awful! It took about 20 minutes until she finally came to take our order. Then, I decided that I wanted an iced tea. Once again, she wasn't around so I asked one of the bus boys to bring me an iced tea and was told he'd get our waitress. Really, you can't simply bring me a fucking iced tea when you just brought us 2 glasses of water nor could any of the other waiters or waitresses bring me an iced tea because our sucky waitress had to be the one to do it. Unfuckenbelievable! Another bad thing was that our salad plates and other finished dirty plates were not removed from the table while we were still eating. I mean, really, people, learn how to be more attentive and provide excellent customer service to your patrons! If I acted like this wait staff at my job, my ass would be fired! Looks like you've got lots of work ahead of you, Campo di Bocce management!

thoroughly enjoyed my whole wheat spaghetti this fine Wednesday afternoon. it came with ample tomatoes...little on the salty side, and needed some heat (i asked for some cracked red pepper flakes which complimented it nicely.) i was surprised i had to ask for parmasean for my spaghetti though!! not to mention when i got near the bottom of the dish, it was swimming in a pool of olive oil (even though it was mentioned in the description!) next time i will just ask for really light olive oil...otherwise it was delish. much better service this time, and now i know not to try for a quick lunch here :)

Good food, great fun, slow service. I went here for a birthday party last weekend and we had a blast drinking, eating antipasti, and playing bocce. But all the fun came to an abrupt halt when we sat down for lunch and were subject to the slowest service I've ever experienced, downright painful. This place is great for large groups that stick to bocce, booze, and small bites. I recommend staying upright while enjoying the roasted beat salad, bruschetta, baby lamb lollipops, and draft Guinness.

Great place for kids, adults and teens alike. I personally knew nothing about Bocci ball before I went there, and now I feel like a damn champion. My family still wont talk to be because I was that good. The Antipasta plate is to die for. Great cheese, good cured pork and other stuff. The beer selection is pretty good, not the best. Go for good family fun or to get drunk.

I'm not a bocce player nor have I tried it, but those that come here really seem to enjoy it. I'm sure that I will try it one of these days! Campo di Bocce is a really nice venue for having lunch or dinner with one other person, a group of friends, or even for large groups after your wedding rehearsal down the street at either Palm Event or Casa Real Winery. We didn't make a reservation and figured we would just stop in with a group of about 10-12 of us. Reason why we didn't make a reservation was because they wanted us all to do a pre-fix menu. I'm not a fan of pre-fix menus...so we decided just to walk in and see if they would seat us. Luckily, they did! I really enjoy their spaghetti and meatballs here, it's quite tasty! The bruschetta was just eh...nothing special! Calamari for an appetizer is really good as well. Everyone that we had at our rehearsal lunch really enjoyed their dishes. I'd definitely come here again!

We booked this place for our wedding rehearsal dinner after having a decent visit to check it out before hand. That visit was weird, but I chalk that up to the fact we showed up 40 minutes before closing time on a Sunday Night. The best thing about this place is that they are able to accommodate large groups, and have enough staff and timing to make sure everyone has drinks, appetizers, salads, meals and desserts all at the same time. I'm a sucker for perfect timing. Bocce is a great activity for two groups of people meeting each other for the first time, and the tables nearby are perfect for drinks and snacks. We had wine,(lots) beer, calamari and pizza and it was all a big hit. After an hour of Bocce (which is the perfect amount for people to be sad to leave it, but ready, and not already over it) we all went into their largest private dining room, which had a beautiful view of the hills. The service was great, but I must tell you this is not authentic Italian food. I thought it was good, but my new mother-in-law (who is Italian and from New York) was personally offended by the cheesy inaccuracies of the ravioli. Still, everyone seemed to enjoy it. We brought it our own wine for the dinner and they were great about corkage, keeping everyone's glass full, and giving us the remaining back at the end( I normally would just leave it but since I had a hotel suite full of anxious people the next day, I took it!) Dessert and salad were my favorite parts! Each table of 6-8 people got a dessert sampler of 5 or 6 full size desserts. Anyone who knows me knows I go wild over a sampler. An amazing experience to end a great meal. Also the group coordinator Rebecka was amazing to work with and helped me with every detail to make it perfect! Which I then totally took credit for her immaculate planning with my mom:)

We went here with a party of 15 for my husbands birthday. Had a great time. Good food and it was nice that the kiddos enjoyed it as much as the adults. Have to say that I would like to go again, and take advantage of the free bocce after 10pm. Being charged $10 per person to play seems a bit much, But all in all we all enjoyed it. I ordered the salmon for dinner and loved it. A few of us shared the cheese sampler for an appetizer and it was soooo good. Looking forward to going back without the kiddos.

We had a great happy hour and Bocce event here last night! Wow - this place certainly does a great business, they were shuttling people in and out and were full most of the night! Great appetizers and a nice wine list. My only complaint is the set -up. We were on court 4 and our table was set up on the outside of the court, facing where some of the other diners were having their meal. We were in the way of servers and restaurant patrons most of the night and were constantly dodging trays of food and people walking back and forth. Slightly annoying when you have paid a significant amount to host an event for the evening. Overall, a four star experience.

Initially, I was looking at various wineries & vineyards in Livermore to hold a quiet, outdoor casual company meeting, but after checking the 10 day forecast, the rain didn't show much sign of letting up.. so Campo di Bocce was the best in-door alternative. I called a couple days in advance to reserve a table for 10 & when we got there, they had the water & menus all ready for us. Awesome! Fortunately, it turned out blue skies & light winds, so we ended up asking for an outdoor table, which our server, Gerald, was more than happy to immediately rectify for us. By the time we all showed up shortly thereafter, he had us relocated with the quickness & even was happy enough to turn on their heaters to keep us comfortable. As we settled into our casual meeting outing just in time for Happy Hour, the half off appetizers & wine came out very swiftly. If it weren't for the company event, I would've stuffed my mouth with no shame whatsoever. Everything was so damn scrumptious. We ordered the Lamb Lollipops, the bruschetta, calamari, meatballs & parmesan, & the supreme veggie pizza. The lamb lollipops were absolutely mouth watering & the bruschetta was stacked with extra roma tomatoes with fresh mozzarella, just the way I like it! The meatballs were no Buca di Beppo meatballs, but were definitely decent sized which I could've eaten all day. Their calamari was the only thing that slightly lacked my expectations, being a bit more rubbery than I like, but edible non the less. The pizza had a nice crisp to it & was definitely a keeper. For the wine. After looking over the menu, Gerald, being very knowledgeable & insightful on the aromas & distinct tastes of some of their specific wines, he recommended Boa Ventura of Livermore, which had a smooth, sweet berry finish which left a big impression in my mouth & my mind. Also tried the 2006 St. M Riesling which was more medium-dry, crisp & refreshing which paired perfectly with the meal. Customer service was impeccable! Always kept our table clear of finished dishes, water to the brim, non intrusive, professional, knowledgeable, quick & responsive. Never had us waiting for just a moment. What more can you ask for? Great great customer service by Gerald. The bill came out to just below budget which couldn't have been more perfect. Only regret is that we didn't get a game of Bocce Ball in. $10 for an hour & a half of play, maybe next time.

This place isn't sure what it wants to be... It's priced like a wine tasting place, with a menu and a price tag to match but the vibe and the lighting is like a sporting goods store. Good food, not amazing.

Great Food. Good Service. Fun Bocce. Only downside is bocce lighting a bit overpowering at night. Jeff

I came here with a few colleagues and clients on a Friday night, a party of about 12. The place is pretty big, parking was ok, took a few circles to get a spot. We came mostly to drink and to hang out. A few of us sat at the table outside, and the rest of us went to our bocce ball court. This was my first time watching and playing bocce ball, and I had a blast! The weather was perfect! A warm but breezy Livermore night. The outside patio had plenty of seating along the courts, and high walls. The only down side was those damn misquitos, and a spider that kept crawling closer and closer to me. (eek!) Our server was Megan, she was nice, friendly, and quick. I give her much props for putting up with the drunk guys in my group. I had a few raspberry kamikazes, while the guys ordered beer on tap. We already had dinner, but I ordered the clams in white wine sauce. The clams were good, and the broth was delicious! They brought out complimentary bread with olive oil & balsamic vinegar. I needed the guys to eat as much bread as they could, and she was totally on time with bringing more bread! My manager ordered the lamb pops, which she LOOOOVED. Overall, I'd definitely come back here to play and to eat. I had a great night!

What a fun place for a date or a group of friends! My husband and I opted for an outting on a beautiful summer day for their Sunday brunch and for some competitive Bocce Ball. On Sunday's they host their brunch buffet, complete with omelette and craving station. Oh and the cocktails (Mimosas, Bloody Mary's, Cosmos, and more) are bottomless! You really can't go wrong for what you're paying. It was our first time playing so if you're like us, you can get a free lesson from the staff there. Even if you don't come for brunch on Sunday, on the other days they still serve food and drink and it's an affordable way to have fun. We hosted our corporate holiday party here everyone was pleased with the results. It's a fun place year round since they have covered outdoor courts with heated lamps besides their indoor courts. I like this location better than the Los Gatos one since you're surrounded by all the vineyards, it's a nice way to get away from the city.

Seriously, how great is this place? I took the fam here for mother's day brunch and everyone had a great time. The spread was great (and they are not lying about those jumbo shrimp....they were big) and from what everyone reported, there wasnt a dud in the bunch. The $29 brunch option includes bottomless cocktails and they do make a mean bloody mary. The hub unit reported that the tequila sunrise was quite potent, but for him, thats a good thing. The staff was very attentive, even though the place was a madhouse. Great job!

Bocce Ball is super fun there even if you don't know how to play. The dinner and desserts are delicious! Service was perfect! Rebecka the event coordinator is great, friendly, very helpful, and our event went perfectly due to her undivided attention given to our entire party.

I don't write reviews very often but tonight I need to after our dinner at Campo di Bocce! We have been here a number of times and it has always been good, but tonight was my wife's birthday and it was over the top! If you come on your birthday, your dinner is on the house. Not just your entree, but your appetizer, your salad, and your dessert! And not just the cheapest app, we had two, and the more expensive one was free! Oh, and if you bring a Livermore wine, no corkage fee. Awesome! As for the food, everything we have had is excellent. Favorites are the Gnocchi, pasta with chicken and red pepper flakes, and the polenta with shrimp ragout. For apps, the calamari is excellent along with the pan fried ravioli. Go! You won't be disappointed!

I love this place. We always play bocce outside, and it is truly picturesque. I almost feel like I've been transported to Italy because all you can see are vineyards and Italian decorations! They provide lessons at the beginning so that anyone who doesn't know how to place bocce ball can learn. After that, you're set for an hour and a half of fun! The time always flies and we always leave smiling. The food and drink selection is great. The pizza is truly outstanding- last time, we ordered the veggie option, and one with pepperoni, proscuitto, and salami on it. We couldn't stop raving- it came out piping hot and delicious. Definitely not like Round Table. We went on a Wednesday, and they had a special going on Wednesdays where if you bought two glasses of the same wine, they just gave you the rest of the bottle. Since a bottle of wine has about four glasses in it, this is a great deal- basically buy one, get one! The staff can sometimes be a little slow, but I chalk that up to them being quite busy. They are always really friendly! One time, a man came up and gave us some tips, encouragement, and some neat bocce ball pins. Overall, this is a great place and I leave smiling each and every time we visit.

This place was a blast on Tri-Valley restaurant week. Got a great deal, $19 for a fabulous 3 course dinner (fixed price and lots of selection - not including tax & tip). Free corkage for any Livermore Valley wines. Free Bocce ball after 10pm on Fri/Sat. Superb / Excellent customer service and food! Very accommodating. Great Atmosphere and ambiance. Nice safe crowd. Clean. What more can you ask for? They let you play Bocce Ball for 1.5 hours and they close at 2am on weekends.

Went here with some peeps for part of a birthday party. Had never played bocci ball before, and had a blast! We then were served lunch, though ciabatta bread and ice water were had throughout the game. The one thing I wish had been available was the chance for individual orderings, as I'm sure there were possibilities that were not limited to vegetarian status. I wasn't the payer, though, so it's all good! :-)

What a great concept! Eat, Drink, hang out and play bocce ball! I have yet to play bocce ball, but the food was delicious! I went here with my friend as part of a girl's weekend package, I can't wait to come here with my hubby and kids.

Third stop of the B-day extravaganza was Campo di Bocce. How cute is this place?! Great place to bring a group of folks for dinner and a Bocce ball show down. They have both indoor and outdoor lanes and the place is surprisingly large for its strip mall location. I can only speak on the dessert. Had the tiramisu and it was heavenly. They serve up a huge piece, definitely enough for two people to share. Can't wait to check this spot out during the warmer months and take advantage of the outdoor lanes and fireplace. Arrivederci!

I love this place... for the bocce. Reserve an outside court, order a drink, and have a good time but don't bother with the food. Extremely mediocre. Its bland and serving sizes are unreasonably small for price.

This is a regular place for me. I live nearby and have been here many times often getting lunch or an evening snack at the bar. They have a lot of appetizers and a large by the glass wine selection. I had my birthday party dinner here too and got comped on the meal. Our group had a good time. The food is decent. Our waitress was attentive. They don't charge corkage on Livermore wines so I brought a few. It's a good place for a dinner party if you have a large group. When a friend had her birthday here she got a free meal and a cake too and we played bocce for free. It can be noisy and brite near the bocce lanes but you have to expect that. They have a nice out door patio area with fireplaces and a bar that is pleasant on a warm afternoon or evening.

This place is so much fun. Bocce is a leisurely game that is best played with friends over a bottle of wine and good food! The ambience is really awesome. It has a relaxed feel. I believe there are 4-6 indoor courts and another 6 outside. I prefer to play bocce outside when the weather is beautiful. The courtyard is pretty with mature vines and seating around the courts. There is a bar and tables for dining outside as well. Perfect for enjoying your wine in the Livermore Valley. Between all my visits, I've had the calzone, a salad, calamari and the pork pizza and all were acceptable eats. If it is too sunny, there is a shade you can pull over the court. I thought that was handy. One tip, the outside courts seem to slope more. We won our game but that's what the other team was using as an excuse! :)

Food pretty dang good. Prices not bad at all-in fact the Sunday through Thursday prix fixe menu is a bargain. Service was, well, spotty. Entrees were a long time coming and the waiter disappeared after handing us our check. We finally located him teaching a bunch of folks to play bocce. Overall, not bad, will update after we go again.

The environment and atmosphere are beautiful. It's a good space for a corporate event; indoors is a bit sterile/corporate like. Outdoors on a beautiful day is gorgeous and much more intimate, more like Napa. I would give it 4-stars for the space and 2 for the food. The food is very standard "Italian-American" food - really nothing special. Very average. But I assume folks come here for the atmosphere and for an event and not for the food.

I love Campo di Bocce! I have been here several times and enjoy my visit every time! I do think the food and drinks are pricey. I have taken several parties here and everyone always has fun and several people end up coming back. Very friendly staff and service is good.

I just moved to Livermore recently and went here for lunch the other day with my sister in law. It's a cool environment with people playing Bocce inside and outside. We sat outside in the shade and ordered amazing salads we were both happy with. They were fine when I asked for none of this or extra of that on my salad. We had the asparagus soup as an appetizer and it was so good, I would go back and eat it every day. I only have two complaints. The first is the time suck. It took way too long from the soup to the salad and way too long from the salad to finding our waiter to get the check. The second is they seated us right by the bus station even though they weren't that busy.

I came here with my coworkers to eat dinner and play Bocce ball. It's so unique decoration and the whole shabang. I thought the service was great and the food was interesting and tasty. Portions were a good size. This is another spot to go with a big group or a small dinner date.

Great venue, service staff was quick & attentive, and their food was just right. I had the Tri-tip w/ arugula sandwich and my fiance had the Spaghetti & meatballs... both well made and tasty. We dined outside on a Saturday afternoon and I like how there's amply shade for hot Livermore days. Their bocce courts look well groomed and also had plently of guest seating along the courts for others not playing, drinks, and for appetizers and desserts. We plan to have our wedding rehearsal lunch here... great opportunity to spend time with our family and friends over wine and bocce. TIP: they don't charge corkage fees for Livermore wines!

Went to Campo di Bocce with my husband, his mother, and grandmother. We had a fabulous game of bocce before sitting down for my mother-in-law's birthday dinner. She and I ordered a bay shrimp salad. My husband and his grandmother had some other dishes. After a few bites of mine I said, "The shrimp isn't that good," and started picking it out. I still wanted to eat the salad. My mother in law was fine with it and ate all of her shrimp salad. After our meal they brought out a special birthday dessert with a candle on it and all was well (we thought). Next day I wake up with horrible stomach pains and even worse diarrea. As anyone knows who has had food poisoning it is very painful and debilitating. You can't leave the house, you can only lay around in pain and run for the bathroom. I get a call later that evening from my mother in law who says "Are you feeling OK?" I instantly said, "You have food poisoning too?!" The only thing we ate in common that day was the bay shrimp salad. I had noticed they didn't taste good so ate even less than my poor mother in law on her birthday!! When I call the manager-on-duty to inform him of the bad shrimp, and he completely dismisses me. "Well there have been other people who have eaten the shrimp and aren't sick." Well then they didn't eat the same shrimp!" He then asks, "What did you eat for breakfast?" Which I told him didn't even matter since we didn't eat the same breakfast. I got no ownership from him of the fact that maybe they had let their shellfish sit out too long and it went bad. No apology for the days of illness we went through. Nothing. Everytime I drive past that place I cringe. I guess that's what three days of food poisoning will do to a person. And by the way, I can't even look at bay shrimp without getting slightly disgusted. Thanks Bocce, for not even having the decency to apologize. Shame on you.

We finally got a chance to check this place out, (been to the one in Campbell but it was years ago). We went a few Sundays ago for a girlfriends birthday, the place was not crowded, very nice and relaxing atmosphere plus we got a great table in the back near the Piano to accommodate us and the very active 3 yr old boys! So the goods: 1. Apps were great, we got Fried Calamari and Bruscetta, both good. 2. Got a bottle of Layer Cake Cab - 07, that rocked. I got Spaghetti and meatballs, very good, rich sauce and flavor full meatballs. Everyone else was generally happy with their dishes. The not-so-goods: 1. The Cioppino that my friends DH ordered has lots of little pieces of crab shells in it, um yea - no bueno! 2. The service in general was very poor, I had to ask for drink refills, every time and wave someone down if we needed anything else. The place was slow, the service should have been better. 3. They cut the beautifully decorated cake I brought for my Friend before she even got to see it - I didn't even get a picture of it so you know that ticked me off! 4. They gave us grief about the bill b/c we wanted to apply a gift card and I guess the g.card was kinda old, regardless we had not used it yet. In general, I like the place, need to try it again, food was great, service was weak, they'll get another chance.. This time we'll do apps and cocktails while we place some bocce, hopefully outside so we can have cigars as well, now that's livin!

So fun! A great place for eats and drinks too. Our family and friends had a great time playing bocce. Our kids, 6 and 7, loved the game of bocce! I like how there are tables around the courts as well as a separate dining area. We've been here for their brunch, which is a lovely spread, and for dinner too...selections are pleasing (pastas, pizzas, salads) and reasonably priced. Great location, the place is clean and welcoming. Service that we had was great too! **Don't forget to reserve a court.

I"ve been coming here since day one, both for the bocce and for the food. It's great to have a place where you can play outside on lovely days and inside on super hot or too cold days...and have some good food besides. However, if I'm going just to dine, I find that I prefer sitting outside, as eating inside, especially at night when it's busy can be a bit overwhelming with the accoustics and the cacophony of sound. It detracts from fine dining. But give me good weather and eating outside is very pleasant indeed. I would also say that over the years they have been open, that their food has actually gotten even better than at first. I have some definite favorites. I think the meatballs and parmesan appetizer is exceptionally good. In fact I have a friend who lives in NJ and insists that their spaghetti and meatballs are her favorites. And she eats lots of Italian food!! She comes to visit a couple of times a year and we have to go there to satisfy her craving for this dish!! They have very good salads and specials, and I eat their salmon club sandwich a couple of times a month. It is the best seafood sandwich to be had! Sometimes the service can be a bit uneven, and once when I asked for a ginger ale they tried "making" one by combining coke and seven-up. ????? Strange but true. Their tiramisu is one of the best, and overall they have a great selection of food and drinks enough to satisfy everyone you choose to bring. We've brought many groups large and small and everyone came away well satisfied.

I'm addicted to Bocci. There I said it. I added a star because of this. There is a new crew here from management on down....most from Wente. Good service, OK food, amazing patio Another star. That's all I got. Just can't give a 5 star review here but they earned their 4 stars.

I love the idea of this place, so that along gets 3 stars. Bocce courts, wine, food, can't think of a better combination! The building is new, large and nice inside. Several Bocce courts indoors and some outdoors as well. We had dinner with a big group in a private room before playing. The food was mediocre. Nothing terrible, but nothing great in my opinion. We had chicken picatta, and I thought it was bland. We also had salad which didn't have enough dressing. The service, while nice, was spotty. We couldnt find our waiter most of the time, and drink refills took a long time. The dessert is what saved the day - the tiramisu was delicious. When it came to play some bocce, we were put on indoor courts. They have a staff member come and explain the rules so everyone knows how to play, which is thoughtful. They also set up a table with ice water and ice tea and glasses in case you get thirsty while playing, also a nice touch. Or if you prefer, you can order wine from the bar. Bottom line: We had a lot of fun at Campo di Bocce. The bocce courts are great, both indoor and out. If the food gets taken up another notch, they could easily earn a 4 star review in my book. Regardless, because I love the concept, I would definitely return with some friends for a fun night of bocce ball and wine.

One of the most disappointing dinners I've had in a very long time. It was easy to get a table for 2, which was nice. Most of the people there were in big groups or large family style dinners. As a table of 2 however we got almost completely ignored. After our order was taken we didn't see our waiter again until we chased him down to get the bill. In the meantime we'd needed service a few times and couldn't get it. At the same time that we watched waiters patiently hover next to big tables and attend to their needs, we kept asking bussers and runners for refills, bread, to get our waiter, and none of it materialized. We would have spent significantly more money if we'd had some service. Then we got the wrong bill when it arrived, and it took another ten minutes to get our waiter back over to get the proper bill. Food was vastly, surprisingly bland. Better Italian meals can be found at Olive Garden, which ain't saying much. While I like the building, with all the groups and bocce the noise level was pretty massive. My sister and I struggled to hear each other the whole meal. If you have a really big group, have a lot of drinks and want to play bocce I think you could have a good time. If you want food that has flavor and/or are a small group you'll need to go somewhere else.

I've never played bocce ball before so this was my first time when i came here for a friends bday. I have to say it was fun with a group of 10 of us. Not so fun when there's only 2 people playing. It's more of a group game. The food was very average. I didn't like my chicken marsala. It was over cooked and rubbery and the sauce had no flavor. The lasagna was just ok. My bf liked his seafood dish but i wouldn't come back here for entrees. I liked the bocce ball concept in a restaurant. It's very new and unique - different, but the food is blah! I'd come here for appetizers and drinks and bocce ball but that's it.

I came here last night for a work function -- party of 10 of us for dinner + bocce ball. Don't come for the food or the ambiance. It's basically a cafeteria with bocce ball courts in the middle. I felt like I was at a school function where they served (mediocre) food. We ordered some apps: antipasto, caprese salad, bruschetta and prawns wrapped in bacon. The only app that remained in my memory is the prawn app... jumbo prawns wrapped with succulent bacon -- how could I not LOVE this dish?!?! Great wine list -- many local Livermore selections, which I think is pretty darn cool, cause there are some great vineyards in the area. I am a big fan of the La Rochelle Pinot Noir -- YUM! I ordered a spinach salad with chicken for my entree. Given the amount of bread and apps I'd consumed, I was happy for a lighter meal.... but truly it was unforgettable, nothing special. A few of us ordered the "weekday special" which included salad, entree + dessert... this seemed like a pretty great deal for the price ($19). I did enjoy our bocce ball game after dinner --- although I STINK at the game. I'd love to take lessons and/or practice to see if I can improve my game. I like the unique concept and I think the Bay Area could use a few more fun dining spots like Campo di Bocce. Also, service was pretty darn great... totally unexpected based on the style of restaurant. But our server was very attentive, polite and fast. My water glass was never empty.

This is a cool place to come for Bocce ball, but that's about it. The food is similar to a bowling alley. Service was fine. I ordered the Calamari based upon the yelp reviews. Unfortunately it tasted like rubber. My wife had the spaghetti and meatballs, which were actually edible. Everyone else in our group was dissatisfied with their food as well. If we return it won't be for the food!

Great foods! Beautiful location . Today waiter put us table next to other ass hole guy who cussing soon to be ex-wife. He was loud and didn't care other customers enjoying lunch. The staff here are pretty friendly. They made themselves available for any questions we had on Bocce as well as help dispute and game challenges we had. They also came around every 15-30 minutes to check on us to see if we needed any drinks and make sure we were good. The food here was good, nothing too special about it. Because it was a company event the food was prepicked out for us...some appetizers and pizza but the dessert here are hella good...the cheesecake and termasui are to die for!

Fun place to play and eat. Our group of six has made this our quarterly place to play and have a nice meal. The food has been good each time. The Prix-fix menu has enough choices to keep you ordering from it for a while and the portions are hearty. We are hooked. We always leave the court laughing or smiling at the fun we had and can't wait till the next meeting. Give it a try.

Haven't played bocce there yet but did meet the owner the last time I went ...he was going around to all the tables giving out little new year fortunes which was cute. I had the chicken and broccolini and it was so so. My boyfriend and his brother both had the lamb lollipops and claim they are the second best they've ever had ...second to the ones in Greece that is! Had cheesecake for dessert which wasn't very good because they put a balsamic glaze on it and it wasn't the smoothest texture either.

Bocce is fun, The food is average tasting and the service tonight was SLOW and stupid.. We didn't get a wine list but the waiter asked us if we wanted anything to drink besides water 2 times. We asked the waterboy for a wine list... We picked a good Cab. It took about 10min to get the wine. When it arrived the waiter preseted the bottle to my niece (15 yrs old) OMG. The waiter then poured too much wine to taste it. Then he poured wine to everyone (didn't serve the ladies first) come on! Got our food, no big deal there. At the end of the meal we wanted the bill split 3 ways. That was messed up and took an extra half hour to get and pay the bill. When they split the bill they put all the tip on only one of the bills (we were a party of 8) so 2 were $20 less then one of the bills (idiots) We had to get that corrected by the Manager. No appology from anyone. You can't teach stupid.. I will set my expectations low if I return.

Fun and tasty! The food here is great! Bocce is a lot of fun too. The first time I went was for a wine maker's dinner and although we had a set menu the food was great. The next time we went on a Saturday for dinner and Bocce. The service was fast and the food was great. I love that they didn't charge a corkage fee for bottles Livermore wine. I had the chicken Marsala which was great and I also tried some of the flat iron steak. It was equally yummy. Their flour-less chocolate torte was to die for. It went great with the wine we brought. Bocce was fun, it's easy to learn. It has similar rules as shuffle board. If you play late there isn't a time limit to your court time as the last set time to reserve is 10pm. The bar and courts are open much later after that. This is a great place for groups and double dates. I wouldn't suggest this as a place for a first date spot since it can be very noisy and the game is best play (in my experience) with more than two people.

Pretty good food and the bocce ball is fun. If the weather isn't great, you can also play indoors. The bar is pretty nice, although the crowd tends to be a bit weird, but hey this is Livermore. Seriously though, I came out here for a friend's b-day party and was pretty impressed with the selection of Italian food and the prices were reasonable and portions were huge, compared to that in the city. I doubt I'd make a special excursion out of there for a regular dinner, but if I end up in Livermore again, I'd stop by.

who knew i was such a killer bocce ball player? must be the italian heritage... i came here a few weeks ago, and played bocce ball for the first time while having a late lunch (early dinner?) the food itself was alright, nothing all that amazing... the tiramisu was actually pretty good though... the staff was mostly cool.. well except for the fact that they brought our food right when we started playing, so we kind of had to waste most of our time on the bocce ball court because we were trying to eat... that and they must have reminded us what time we had to stop playing like 6 times... but it turns out they had a private event that evening, so maybe they were just trying to get us out of there early enough to not interfere with the party... all in all, i think this could be a lot of fun, and i would like to come back another time... and since my future sister-in-law apparently decided that their rehearsal dinner will be here (my brother is getting married at casa real- at ruby hill) next october) i will be back at least once more :)

purely about the food - and docking 1/2 star because of my food coma.. (which some might say is an extra star) really 3 1/2 to me but closer to 3 Ok so i know the calamari is bomb and the prawns were great.. tried different things this time - bruchetta - was to cream cheesy - they said garlic couldnt' taste it and was just wierd for bruschetta. - spinach salad. put more effort in it.. too sour lasagnia - was good

Lunch prices were reasonable for $10, I had a chicken sandwich which was accompanied by fries. The portions were a decent size and the food was above average although didn't have a wow factor. My fiance had a steak arugula sandwich for $12 dollars also accompanied by fries also decent but nothing outstanding. The service was OK but definitely just average, my pet peeve in a restaurant is that drinks such as water and coffee should always be topped off. I can tell when I get good service because I love spicy foods or am just a waterholic and usually restaurants can't keep pace with my drinking style. This place did not. After lunch we decided to play Bocce with the couple friend we brought, this is where the service picked up but not to a five star rating. We got excellent directions on how to play Bocce that made us all feel comfortable trying out the new sport. They even had a referee walking the courts giving tips and advice although the game is quite simple the closest to the pinochle (sp?) wins. Again I had a coffee out there that was never refilled although we weren't charged for either the coffee or an Ice tea. Bocce for 1.5 hours of fun for $10 a person which was quite reasonable. Phil's suggestion: come for Bocce at least once to play on a real Bocce court. Other than that I cant recommend coming here on a regular basis.

I visited in late September, 2008. We played Bocce and snacked on food while playing. We loved the shrimp, pizza, and calamari courtside. The service was the standout with me. We had drinks when we wanted them and food was quick and fresh and good. I have been here 6 times and I have had nice service every time. This last time we had a great waitress. that really helped us have fun as a group. It seemed people who worked there were in constant motion, just like the Bocce balls. I can solidly recommend the food, service, and fun courtside.

We tried this place tonight. The food was delish, the Bocce ball playing quite fun, the location lovely, surrounded by vineyards. The service in the restaurant was very good ( thank you, Christine L! You made up for all the other bad service we experienced!) Things they could improve on: the noise level in the restaurant was too loud to hear across the table, the place needs some noise- control measures. They forgot about us when we were in the outside bocce ball courts. They are supposed to explain to you how to play the game, offer to bring you drinks and appetizers, etc. There was scarcely a waiter to be found. Thank goodness one of our party had been here before so he could tell us how to play the game. The receptionist and cashier were unfriendly and quite oblivious to customers, too. They were running out of toilet paper at 4:30 pm so I asked them to please restock. At 6:30 pm I revisited the ladie's room, and there was not one sheet of toilet paper in there. I hate that, when they ignore or are oblivious to the condition of the restroom, even after they are alerted to the needs. I'd recommend the food but they really need to improve the overall customer service.

I have been to Campo di Bocce on several occasions and it just keeps getting better and better each time I go (I don't know if this constant improvement is based on new management, a new chef or the business coming into its' "own"? Either way, "yay" for me!). The food is surprisingly delicious in a way that sets it apart from any other Italian restaurant I've dined at and the service is consistently warm and friendly. I have had almost every entree on the menu and, by now, I have so many "favorites" that the only problem I have is trying to choose one thing when I go. I am not a person that gives a good review lightly and I think that Campo di Bocce has proved, time and time again, that they are more than deserving of a stellar review. They have come a long way since they first opened a couple years ago. As I have dined with them, on multiple occasions, over the past two years, they just keep getting better and better, food and service-wise. Being a Livermore resident for more than twenty years, I can say that it is about time that our community has been given a great restaurant/bocce location like Campo di Bocce. I would, and do, highly recommend Campo di Bocce to many people. On a side note, I'm shocked at some of the negative comments made about this restaurant and, frankly, I find them hard to believe. For example, one person complained about taking 14 people to play bocce because it costs $10 per person and equaled $140. Yes, that's a lot of money, but it's still just $10 per person and it's your choice on how many people you bring. How can Campo di Bocce be faulted for that? It doesn't seem like a fair review. As a business, how else are they supposed to charge? What do you think would be fair? When I go with my family, we spend $10 a person and I wouldn't expect them to charge more or less for anyone else. Also, when we play bocce, we get an hour and a half to play not 45 minutes, like she said. It seems to me that some people enjoy being critical and negative, regardless of the situation.

Good food, especially the veggie lasagna. The pasta dishes in which you can choose your own pasta, sauces, and additions are pretty good and a nice concept, but could easily be improved upon to help the flavors meld. However, ridiculously slooooooooooow service. Weird that a nice restaurant would run out of paper towels in the restroom and bread sticks for the tables. Maybe it's just 'cause it's a new place, but management, as well as the servers, look at you funny and don't treat you like valuable patrons. Update: I came back recently with a large group. Increased the stars. Service was better. Food tasted better. Veggie lasagne removed from menu. : ( Still no breadsticks.

if you're into bocce (or even if you're not), this is the place to go! they have plenty of courts, both indoors and out. just be sure to reserve a court when you get there as it gets crowded, especially on the weekends. you can eat/drink on the courts. i didn't try any of their food so i don't have a say on how it is. they do have a nice bar area. their mixed drinks seemed a little watered down, but they have a good selection of beer on tap. overall - it's a fun spot to hang out with family/friends. just watch out for those flying balls by those drunks! *cough* ;)

Went here today for lunch and really enjoyed it. The food was quite tasty. I loved the create your own pasta lunch. Just pick the noodle, pick 2 veggies to add to it, pick the sauce and the meat of your choice. And Presto pasta just the way you like it! What a wonderful idea for picky eaters! I had the penne with alfredo, mushrooms, onions and shrimp. I only got about 7 shrimp but there was so much pasta and the alfredo sauce was very creamy so I was pretty happy. My husband had the spaghetti with Bolognese sauce, tomatoes, spinach and chicken. Everything was hot, well seasoned and yummy. Also we had the Calamari appetizer, which was done really well, the squid, was not chewy but fried with a savory breading. I didn't really like the garlic oil dipping sauce it came with but that can easily be remedied by requesting marinara. Lunch set us back $47 + tip. This is a big restaurant. The service we had was perfect but I'm sure when this place gets packed the service will be slower. There are indoor and outdoor bocce ball courts. It looks like it would be perfect for events or parties or a first date. In fact I recommended it for our next office event. And I greatly appreciated the attractive decor. Also it was very pleasant to drive past the vineyards. The family style Italian dining is wonderful too, but you need at least 12 people. I know I will come back here again.

The place is great. We had lamb lollipops (AWESOME) for appetizer and pasta for dinner. Pasta was decent. Drinks are good. Service was good, too. The only bummer was that there was a party outside so we had to sit and play bocce inside. No corkage for Livermore wine is AWESOME. It was a fun night with friends....plan to bring visitors here next time they come.

First time I visited, just played bocce and drank - had a great time! It's fun and lively. Last night went for dinner, had the BEST pasta dish and my friend loved her meal too. Thought the food was pricey but well worth it!

I love the ambiance and food at Campo di Bocce..however last time I came here with my friends and family, our experience was less than pleasant. We made reservation to celebrate my daughter's 1st birthday. Pretty big deal for us! I called the restaurant at least 3 times to confirm the total number of guests: 12 adults, 2 babies requiring a high chair and 3 older kids. When we arrived, the staff seated us without realizing that we were short one seat and there was nowhere to put an extra chair. They then continued on saying how I should have contacted event department, so we could have had a private room. That would have been nice if anyone mentioned it on the phone when I called three times prior the event. We would have enjoyed a private room for this occasion. The staff then suggested to put a high chair in the walkway, right up against the fence where there was no room for the waiter to pass. After looking at the set up, they said they weren't comfortable with the baby sitting there, so we had to remove the high chair and kept playing the "musical chairs". They tried to squeeze us on both sides of the table, but my guests couldn't even access their chairs. It was quite embarrassing. At that point, we were all ready to sit down and celebrate. Then another lady came (manager?)..mind you no one introduce themselves and apologize for us standing around the table for 20 minutes at that point. She said it was fine to sit the baby in the walkway..right after another staff member told us not to. Finally, half an hour later we were seated. What an ordeal! Bummed it was such a bad start to a party and wish they handled it better.

My whole family loves to take an afternoon, order some appetizers and Italian sodas and play some bocce! It is often the first choice for family birthday gatherings as the bocce is fun and the atmosphere relaxing and comfortable. Great place to have nearby.

beautiful and fun atmosphere with great service. i had a great lunch here with my sister and godmother, and i would love to come back here with a bunch of friends. the food isn't anything spectacular, but it's still yummy and kind of just like good italian comfort food.

My uncle had planned to put up my family against his in a friendly round of Bocce Ball at this Livermore location. Now before this I never even heard of Bocce Ball and presumed it was some kind of bowling for the geriatrics. Soon enough we started playing and had the most fun at this place. A major plus was probably due to the cocktails and delicious appetizers they have on the sidelines. Eventually, our hour and a half of court time had passed and my uncles family beat us to the ground. While it may be a bit pricey, I'm telling you that its worth the experience. Highly recommended.

Nice atmosphere with a good menu. The service was quick and pleasant, however we were there for lunch on a Sunday at 11:20 so that may no be a good indication of the service during busy times. I would go again.

What a disaster!!!!! We went to Campo di Bocce on Saturday night to celebrate my brother's birthday. I drove in from San Francisco and my sister and her family drove in from Morgan Hill to meet my brother and his family who live in Pleasanton. We were a group of 10. My sister-in-law had hosted a party there a few weeks before for her mother's birthday and they had all had a good time. She thought it would be fun to go for my brother's birthday too since our side of the family had never been. Incidentially my brother had also hosted a corporate event in the Los Gatos restaurant the week before. Anyway we arrived at 6:00 and were met by the hostess saying that she didn't have our reservation. As many of us had driven for an hour or more, my sister-in-law was quite distraught, so she asked to speak to the manager. The manager, a David Viscotti, confirmed that our reservation had been on the books, but that someone had called to cancel. When my sister-in-law pointed out that it just didn't make sense that we would cancel a reservation and then drive in from all corners of the Bay Area, he insisted that he had taken the call himself and that there was nothing he could do. This guy was a complete jerk. During the exchange he was very condescending and frankly rude. He basically implied that my sister-in-law was lying when obviously there had been some sort of error on the restaurant's side. We all understand that mistakes sometimes happen, but to not even make an apology or gesture is completely preposterous. Had he apologized and told us that they could accommodate us on another night at a discounted rate or offered a glass of champagne or wine (we were only 5 adults, the rest in our party were children), I think that the experience could have been salvaged. But after being treated in this manner, we decided that we didn't want to patronize this establishment at all and left the restaurant without dining there. I have to say that after looking at some of the other reviews on here, our decision was probably a good one. We enjoyed some great take out pizzas from Gay Nineties Pizza Co. in downtown Pleasanton and a couple bottles of wine. But we were left with a sour taste in our mouth from the experience with Campo di Bocce and we will never step foot in there again.

Oh what fun to play bocce ball with friends, food and a glass of wine in hand. I discovered that I am a really good bocce ball player, and even better when a little tipsy. I haven't sat down to a dinner but have sampled their appetizer menu. The fried calamari and bruschetta are good. Only down side is their insanely expensive wine list. The list itself is great but be fully expectant of dropping a pretty penny for a decent glass or bottle. I recommend making reservations a little in advance too, since the place can fill up. This is especially true if it's a cold night and you want a court in doors. Oh and p.s. please wear some decent shoes...it's amazing how many high heeled women try to play bocce ball while drinking and fail.

Went here on Saturday 6/22/13 for my Uncle's 69th birthday! Happy Birthday Zio Mario!!!!! About 30 people in our group and we hung out on the outdoor patio. We all arrived at 5:30, guest was arriving at 6:15. While waiting, we hung out in the bar area. It was a bit cramped, but our "time" hadn't started yet, so we had to stay away from the courts and people who were on their paid time. (That was fair). Once our party started (with loud Italians), we all had a blast. The wait staff was professional and very kind. They kept a tab for my little group, and answered all of our bocce and alcohol questions! For starters we had : bacon wrapped large shrimp, stuffed mushrooms, bruschetta, and something else (but I forgot). Dinner was wood fired pizzas. Veggie, meat, artisan, all thin crusts alll VERY good. They did not skimp on the toppings! Very generous, very delicious. For drinks, they kept the water jugs filled and my gin sour was perfect. THEY DID NOT SKIMP ON THE ALCOHOL. It was great. Had a nice talk with one of the referees.. nice kid, had met Madden one time. Cool stories. I will be back to this place. If not for some bocce, then for some partying! Super fun times to be had at this place.. all in a nice Italian setting among the vineyards...

This place has great service. I had a holiday event here for work. We ate and then played bocci after. Food was good other than the "arugula salad". No one touched it, I don't think it was arugula, it didn't have the flavor or appearance of it. Anyway, other than the salad everything else we ate was yummy. Bread was good too. We got a dessert platter while we played and I loved the tiramisu and their cheesecake. It was my first time here and I think I will be back.

I had the gluten free pasta (rice penne) and boy was it delicious! It has the most delicious mushroom sauce and was filled with yummy veggies, ahhhh! I'm a huge fan of this place! I love the environment and how people are playing bocce ball right there and having a blast at this beautiful restaurant! Next time I'm in this town I will be back without hesitation!

I have been here a few times now due to my office always having our team building/social day here. It is a really fun cool place hidden away. It is hard to find parking but other than that this place is top notch. food is good drinks are made well and it is just a fun atmosphere. I personally love playing outside. It is well shaded and it makes it more enjoyable.

First time here for dinner, Bocce with large group for dinner and fun game of Bocce. Overall had a great time, the dinner we received was great, service on spot, dinner was family style and hit the mark-not gourmet for sure, just good basic Italian. The Bocce with friends was the highlight of the evening lots of fun. Overall the place is big, loud, lots of energy filled with people having fun night out.

I've been meaning to write this since the first time I stopped by Campo Di Bocce, so here is the much anticipated, well deserved 5-star rating for this establishment: The five stars are relate to every aspect of this restaurant - the staff, the food, the atmosphere, the service and of course the bocce courts. Everything on the menu is delicious. Although I usually stick to their appetizers (perfectly satisfying and very much needed after a long day of wine tasting), I have tried a variety of the food offered on the menu, from salads to pizzas and pasta. I have never once been disappointed. The calamari, bruschetta and pizza are definitely among some of my favorite offerings. The staff is outstanding. Never have I been greeted by any staff member who was anything other than friendly, happy and ready to make us feel right at home. I've come here on numerous occasions and been served by Kenny, at the bar. He has always been attentive, super fun to talk to and welcoming. He is definitely one of the reasons we keep coming back. Although I don't come out here often, he always remembers me and is quick to take care of me and the rest of my party. I watched him and another bartender deal with a customer who had nothing but bad things to say about the food and the prices and then continued to complain after eating every single bite on her plate. Kenny just smiled and politely nodded and humored her. I had to hand it to him, he dealt with the situation better than anyone probably could have. Stand-up guy and great bartender! The service. This is another reason why I love Campo Di Bocce. Whether inside at a table, at the bar or outside playing bocce ball, there is always someone checking in with you and willing to grab you anything you need. There's nothing worse than when you've had a dry glass for a half an hour and it takes everything in you to flag down a waitress or waiter. Not the case here. I have nothing but great things to say about Campo and I'm so glad I found this place. If I could, I'd come here every day to enjoy some calamari and a couple of cocktails, but then I'd have nothing to look forward to! Can't wait to come back. Would recommend this joint to anyone looking to spend a sunny day outside by the bocce courts or inside for some grub and cocktails. Either way, the service is outstanding, the environment is fun and enjoyable and the food and drink is incomparable.

What a fun place - good drinks, decent food, and Bocce - all really cool. I will admit, I have only been here for work events, so I have never had to book or pay for it, but I have had enough good experiences to go back again!

Great place for Happy Hour, drinks, appetizers and playing bocce, but a bad place for lunch/dinner meals. The Happy Hour menu is all good, and the prices are great and a nice Italian winery atmosphere where you can play bocce ball and hang out. But that's where the goodness ends. The meals are not good. They taste like they come from frozen and/or pre-packaged containers, not fresh. But the prices are high like they are serving fresh food.

I went here with some family on a Sunday evening at the recommendation of others and I'm quite positive we will be going again sometime when they aren't so busy. It is very much a family-friendly restaurant, though it suffers a bit volume-wise for it. There are absolutely kids with toys running around and, of course, playing bocce, so if you're looking for a quiet romantic meal this isn't where you'll find it. That said, if you're bringing kids with, they'll be quite happy. The waiters are patient and helpful and service was quick but missing parts - we got our entrees quite efficiently but appetizers and drinks never showed up, bread came after the main course arrived, and they mixed up my dessert order. They of course didn't charge for the missing items and additionally took some other things of the bill, which was very nice, but it still left something to be desired. The food itself is great. The chicken parmesan is exactly how I had hoped it would be, tender and flavorful without overdoing it and making it impossible to stand up after. Portions are generous but not huge. When the bread showed up, everyone at the table thought it was so good that they didn't leave any for me and we had to ask for more (which they brought right away and which was as delicious as advertised). When I ordered dessert, I tried to get a decaf coffee and a scoop of chocolate gelato and was surprised to be given a flourless chocolate cake instead. I decided that it must be fate, so I went with it, and it was well worth it. It was rich and decadent beyond all belief. I also don't think I have ever had such a good cup of decaf in my life, and the caffeine drinkers attested to the regular being great, too. With the service problems we had, it's hard to give more than 3 stars, but I look forward to going back, maybe playing bocce next time, and determining how anomalous our experience was. The food alone wad worth it.

I give high marks for bocce courts. You can order drinks while you play. No experience necessary - they will teach you how to play if you are new to the game. Low marks for the restaurant. Very mediocre food and service. Play ball and then go eat somewhere else.

Campo di Bocce has upped their cuisine quite a bit from the last time that I visited. The bocce is fun and bar is fantastic. The service is solid - friendly and attentive. The biggest challenge for Campo is that the food is so darn expensive. The cuisine has gone from barely passable to good, but the prices are still as high as ever. I enjoyed the salmon and green beans. My friends loved their chicken parm and some other dish that I can't recall. One critical piece of feedback is with the prawn appetizer dish - they were so oily and yet rubbery that I probably would have spit out my first bite if I hadn't been so darn hungry. At any rate, our server (Danny or something) was very friendly and did a great job with the kid that was in our group. We had a fun - but expensive - experience.

We came here as a group for Sunday brunch and were pleasantly surprised. We didn't get a chance to play the game because we were too busy eating the delicious selections at the buffet and talking. 29.95 for brunch including unlimited mimosas and coffee and other alcoholic or non-alcoholic drinks! What a steal! The food was mixed traditional American breakfast items (omelets, bacon, sausage, etc) with a mix of Italian with the cheese and meat. Peel and eat shrimp and tasty cut fruit. The dessert station was ample enough. Service for our table could have been a bit better. The waitress we had took a long time get to us to bus our plates but overall she did okay. I would definitely come back. Come for the brunch and burn off some calories playing the games after. This location was a bit hard to find (its in a small shopping area).

This is a great place to visit with a big group of friends or family. There is no corkage fee for bottles from wineries in livermore, which is a great plus. The food is good, not great. It's a great ambiance and fun spot to drink and play some bocce!

Came here for my mom's birthday with my family (a large group). We had the Calamari,Pancetta Wrapped Prawns, Cheesy Garlic Bread, Bruschetta - which were good, I liked the Brushetta the best of the appetizers I tried. The salads were good. I had the Chicken Marsala, which I didn't like. Some of the vegetables on my plate tasted like they had picked up flavors from other food on the grill or something : / I didn't like the sauce on the chicken : ( My niece had the Fettuccini Alfredo and didn't like it, she said it was ok. My dad had the Grilled Salmon but ended up sending it back because it was somewhat burnt. They took it back with no problems. I had the bread pudding which was good. The chocolate torte, reminded me of a chocolate cheesecake almost or a very moist chocolate cake- that was very good. The waitress was very helpful describing the menu items to my family members as they asked questions about the different food, and she was patient. The Bocce ball was fun, after I got into it. We stayed until closing, they were very kind to not make us abruptly end our game. :) From the inside, I think it's one of those places to bring family or friends, not necessarily a romantic date. Come here if you want to play the Bocce Ball. If someone were to come for the food, based on what I ate compared to the prices, I'd pick another place.

Come here for a good game of bocce ball if you happen to be in livermore wine country and is a fan of the game. Food is subpar or mediocre at it's best. I came in with high expectations of the italian food. We came with the fam for a game of bocce ($10 per person) and shared a bunch of drinks and appetizers. None of the dishes really stood out. They do have a bar with some cool bartenders. They even allow you to bring Ruby Hill Wine with no corkage fee. As for the bocce ball game itself...they jipped us on the hour and a half time slot. Thumbs up for a great concept, thumbs down for the poor execution (of food and service).

After visiting my favorite medical spa, Silhouette, I stopped by the restaurant for lunch. I loved the causal atmosphere with the bocci games. We were able to have a table next the game floor. I was able to observe many of the games and the people enjoying themselves with a glass of wine. We had calamari for appetizers and it was good. I had the chicken pasta and it was delicious. The food is pretty good. Our waiter was really but the service was really slow. The price is slightly on the high end. We would return back.

This place is completely unique and definitely worth checking out! I've been here twice now. Once with the bf (recommended to us by his friend). Once with my 9 yr old. The first time I went, we were seated alongside the outdoor bocce ball court. We started with the antipasto and fried ravioli appetizers. We each ordered a beer. For dinner... we split the Margherita pizza. Everything we ordered was perfect, as was the cheesecake we shared for dessert. The second time I went, was for lunch. We started with the bruschetta appetizer. I ordered a veggie calzone and an Italian soda. My daughter ordered the kids hotdog with fries and a lemonade. The menu and decor are of the typical Italian variety, but the food is actually pretty good. Not a bad compliment coming from someone (me) who doesn't particularly like Italian food. The real treat was the bocce ball! Bocce ball, bocce ball, bocce ball!!! What more can I say?! You'll have a lot of fun. You should definitely go!

This review is for the Sunday Brunch Came to Camp di Bocce this past Sunday to celebrate my very first Father's Day. We did not have reservations and heard how great their brunch is. We took a chance drove out to Livermore on the off chance there would be a table available. We arrive around 1pm and there were plenty of tables available. The spread was quite impressive. Lots of fresh salad, cheese, olives, shrimp and pastries. The hot buffet had eggs, bacon, sausage, eggs Benedict's, blintz, potatoes, a pasta bake, and grilled chicken. At the carving station there was roasted turkey and prime rib (which was awesome). The also had a nice dessert table as well. Service was attentive and friendly. It was a loud in there as there were people playing Bocce but were had two screaming kids so it worked out great for us! The price for the brunch was about what I was expecting for the area and the type of food offered. I don't know how much my wife paid but I think think it was in the neighborhood of $29.99 per person.

I'm going to make this short. Forgot to bring out my beer. When it came out, it was not very cold and tasted watered down. Then when my food came out it was under cooked. Had 3 other people try it and they agreed. Sent the dish back. By the time they came out with the new dish all 13 of the other people at the table were finished with their food. So pretty much they have to wait on me now to finish my food. Asked for a box and took it home to eat so I wouldn't hold everyone up. As for Bocce Ball it's kind of hard to mess that part up.

First off, the food is top notch! They seem to use local ingredients which I appreciate since I am trying to support as many local businesses as I can. I'd also have to say that I've never partaken in a game of Bocce given that they have beautiful indoor and outdoor courts. To be honest, I wouldn't even know how to play (sure someone could teach me though). Back to the restaurant side. I've come here several times and all other times were on point with excellent service. Today however they all seemed to be off their game. Starting from the front door we were asked if we had reservations which we didn't and were prompted to go to the hostess podium (standard protocol, wasn't too surprised). We did wait at the podium for a few minutes before the floor manager noticed the hostess without the mostest was MIA, she promptly came over to seat us with a cheerful manner. Hubs and I usually like a booth but our friend was having some discomfort that day so we opted for a table. Once seated I immediately remembered why I like a cushy comfy booth but alas I make concessions for good friends and kept the whinefest silent. No sooner being seated, our waiter came along to take our drink orders. Our whole group were wild and crazy ordering up ice water and iced tea, bet you're so jealous that you can't be as over the top as us, right? The drinks came fast however I soon learned that it would be hit and miss at least for me to get continuous ice water. We perused the menu and decided on our meals. I opted for the Tri-Tip & Arugula Sandwich w/steak fries, hubs chose the Saltimboca Sandwich w/steak fries, Amy C zero'd in on a veggie calzone and her beau a chicken salad. The food came fairly fast (almost to another table too!!) however the server's helpers did not know who ordered what so there was a little plate switcheroo'ing going on. Personally I can't stand it when the server or the people he/she charges to bring the food out haven't the slightest inkling who has what plate. Once everyone knew who was on second, we began to dig in. Like I said before, the food here never disappoints and this time was no exception. My sandwich was very well balanced in the taste dept however I had forgotten to ask them to hold the horseradish sauce so I was paying dearly for that mistake. It burned my nose, turned on the waterworks in my eyes, everyone thought I was crying while Amy C's beau was telling a story which wasn't sad at all. Needless to say my peeps got a laugh out of the deal while I suffered (yeah so I over-dramatized that last part). A few more interactions with the server and his drones then it was time for the check. While the check came quickly, the wait for the check to be picked up and processed was a little longer than I had wanted. Once processed, the check was first dropped by my side and then quickly picked up. It traveled to hubs but he wasn't the name on the card used to treat us all to this ok lunch (thanks Amy C!!!). In any case it was another minor blunder that kinda made me wonder if they all didn't get enough sleep the night before. All in all it was a good lunch and yes I'll still come back especially when hosting a small wine tasting party as we did that afternoon. Next time I expect some smelling salts nearby when the staff feel like they're starting to drift.

I love this place. Great food and atmosphere. We came with my car club for some lunch and bocce on a Sunday afternoon. Food was very good and the bocce courts are awesome. Little pricey for court side lunch and bocce. Next time I think we will just eat lunch then head over to the court for some bocce.

So I've been here a few times and all my experiences were very good. My first visit was with a party of 20 for lunch and bocce. The food was served family style and the quality and portions were good. Now, I'm no good at bocce, but to play with people you love made for an excellent experience. I've returned a few more time since then and I've been nothing but pleased. The wine special on Wednesdays is a hoot: buy two glasses of wine and get the rest of the bottle free. Add to the fact that Campo Di Bocce has a fair selection of Livermore wines as well as Napa and it's a good deal. My experience of service has always been prompt (although on this last outing my waiter was a bit distracted by two pretty girls sitting at the counter...can't blame him, though), and when something was not quite right, they strive to correct the problem. Also, the price point here is much better than many places in the Livermore valley (such as Underdog). Yep, a fun, tasty little place!

Had my 15 year high school reunion here last night. We had the whole back patio to ourselves which included 3 bocce courts. I have to be honest, I didn't play bocce at all but the space was beautiful and perfect. We had our own bar area and there was a space for a DJ (which we hired separately) and a small dance floor area. The food was really good. It was all heavy appetizers, but basically it was dinner. We had a lot of their gourmet pizzas and I don't know what it was about the crust, but it was good! The lamb shank was awesome as was the calamari. It's a fun place. I'm not a huge bocce person and Livermore is a little far for me but it was definitely fun.

Bocce, great food, great wine in the wine country. Excellent indoor courts and outdoor courts. Great time for groups and business functions. You can order food courtside while playing rounds. Reservations are suggested for weekends and holidays and check their website for tournaments or other events.

LOVE this place!! The bocce experience gets 5/5 stars! Nice courts, indoor and outdoor, and friendly staff (they will explain the rules to you before you play and they let us start on our court early because it was empty). The food though? Eh. 3/5 stars maybe? Personally, I'd skip it and go elsewhere. The place is awesome for the bocce, the food is not impressive. TIP: You can bring up to 4 bottles of wine that they will cork FOR FREE as long as they are Livermore Valley wines. How awesome is that?! So my suggestion is go for the bocce, drink some wine, and maybe order an app or two. You won't be disappointed!!

Continues to be our favorite spot. Lunch at Campo is great. We now have a Passport Unlimited membership that gives buy 1 get one free entree. Bring a Livermore wine and we are feeding our family of 4 for $25 after tip. Highlights: Lasagna, Chicken Parmesan, Chicken Artichoke Pizza, Meatball Sliders for the kids We usually go during the day and the kids run around on the patio. Always a great spot. Also - We did the brunch only once so far. $35 a person for a great spread with everything you could possibly want from a 5 star brunch. Including booze! Not just mimosas, they offer Bloody Mary's and a few other cocktails included with the $35 price.

I've been here twice; once for a lunch work function during a weekday and another for my husband's birthday brunch celebration on a Sunday. I've dined and played bocce at both the outside court/dining area as well as the inside. Although the outside area is very nice with a view of the vineyards, I preferred sitting inside because the the Livermore heat during the middle of summer was just unbearable. Both times I had good experiences with making reservations and dealing with the people over the phone. For my husband's luncheon, I had to call and cancel a few times since we were having difficulties w/ setting a date & time. Even with the multiple phone calls I made to cancel and reschedule, the staff remained pleasant and flexible. I was very impressed when I received a call from their Special Events Coordinator since our group reservation for my husband's party was larger than 10. She wanted to inform me about the special rates they offered for bocce lane rental, which ended up working out great for us! The food here is good but it's not something to super rave about. When I went for lunch, we ordered several appetizers and for my main entree I had the pasta with clams. For Sunday brunch they have a nice spread which for the price, isn't as elaborate as one would think, however it does come with all you can drink cocktails (i.e. mimosa, bloody mary, screwdriver, beers on tap)! Campo di Bocce is definitely a good time. I didn't think I'd enjoy playing bocce as much as I have. Plus, Ruby Hill is right across the street so a little wine tasting post bocce is always nice! Note: this place gets PACKED. I was amazed at how booked they were, even during the weekdays, so make sure you make your reservations early.

Came here for my 21st birthday, which was great because they give you a special free dinner on your birthdays. The food was really good, and the service as well. The location is awesome because they have one area for eating, and the bar next to it and the rest is a game house with bunch of activities to play with. Definitely a spot to visit if your in the area.

Okay so I was thinking how good could this place be right. It's got bocci ball. It's like skee ball for grown ups. But I had a small pizza and it was tasty. I believe it was some kind of gorgonzola concoction. I was really writing the review based on everyone's food though. I wasn't that hungry but everyone I was with had good things to say about there meal. Plus it's got bocci ball! It was a good time;-).

Blah, blah, the food was fine - good even - but who cares about the food when there's bocce courts!! I went for the first time over the 2011 Christmas holiday with some family and friends to Campo di Bocce and had a blast. We had just loaded up on pasta, pizza, wine, and an array of appetizers when my dad announced that we'd be playing bocce. Granted, I had never played before, it was 11PM and I was fighting a serious case of food coma; I wasn't entirely thrilled about the prospect. Then an amazing thing happened. I discovered that I'm actually good! I'm a natural, even! Our team won and I had ridiculous amounts of fun while leading my team to victory! My mom also turned out to be a star; it was a mother-daughter, one-two punch. Good day, folks! Sayonara, competition. I wish we had one of these in SF.

Came here off of recommendation from the Ruby HIll Winery. We had pizza only. It was great! Right crunch, Right amount of Toppings. Pretty Delish for Pizza. I'm sad I didn't get to play Bocce Ball. I intend to come back to Eat and Play!

If you're heading to Livermore Wine Country I suggest checking out Campo di Bocce. I would also suggest you get your reservations made ahead of time for the Bocce Ball courts. We had a large group of about 10 for a birthday party, and the service was still great. The dining area did get crowded and a bit loud, but it's a friendly atmosphere. I thought the Gnocchi were amazing, and I loved the calamari and antipasti. The bar service was also good-- loved their Bloody Mary. The manager was kind enough to try to get us information so that we could bring a furry friend (new doggy) along, and referred us to a place in Alameda County that offers licensing to companion animals. It was a sweet gesture. Hope to go back and play in the Bocce ball courts soon!

This is a great hang out spot, the entire food menu is wonderful, all the waiters and staff are great, BUT the drinks are so watered down and not make properly, that was disappointing. I had 3 different cocktails hoping one of them would be good and they were all terrible, watered down and no flavor. I truly hope this improves ASAP. Otherwise cool spot. The 4 stars are for the food, staff and of course the group of friends I was with, we all had a blast. 0 stars for cocktails.

Come here if you want to play Bocce and have a few drinks I would not recommend this place for food. Even though the service was great most of the food items I tried were mediocre at best. Lacks in its originality and flavors. Most dishes we had were just not palatable. Especially the swordfish

Went there for a bday party, so I didn't get to choose what I wanted to eat. I don't eat meat and avoid highly processed food, so I was going to eat salad for the most part. And they served us Caesar salad!!! Italian restaurant?!?! Knowing how fattening it is, I didn't eat too much of it. Then we got a beef dish, gnocchi, potato dish. Only thing I could really eat was potatoes, but I decided to taste the gnocchi. I took one piece and it was not very good... I would not come to this place for food, but the family really enjoyed playing bocce ball. Service was good, though.

If you look on my profile you will see that I an a generous yelper, so this 2 stars is saying something. I like the food ok and the court is fun to play on. However, I went to a birthday party here and was disgusted by the poor treatment our party received. First of all, the cost of a party here is ridiculous. The website says one thing, and the final bill is quite another. The staff was breathing down our necks to leave an hour before our scheduled time. If you want to have a small party here, I suggest that you just make a dinner reservation rather than go through the party planning process. I could tell that management was hard to work with and I was only a guest at the party, not the host. I think that the host was enmbarrassed after the party was over. Shame on Campo di Bocce for being so nasty to guests. I will not reccomend this place nor will I return.

Went for a dinner party of 16 on 2-23-14, I had been there before and had issue with the slow service but came back because of the food and of course the bocce. Ordered from the price fixed menu, it offers some great choices, I settled on the Caesar salad, lasagna and the warm bread pudding for the dessert option. So far the service was right on and my salad an entree came out timely. The caesar salad was yummy as it has a generous portion of shaved parmesan cheese and nice crunchy tasty croutons, the lasagna is to die for, eight layers of yumminess ( is that even a word), the bolognese sauce was stellar and the portion was hearty. After the entree course is where the service took a dive, we had 6 pm bocce reservations in which was stalled due to the poor service, we arrived on the court at 6:30 pm with no dessert nor the bill. After asking our server and multiple servers about our dessert and bill the dessert finally came to us by 7:30 pm but it was hard to enjoy since we were playing a timed game and had to chow it down quickly. My husband ordered a coffee that came pretty quick, my coffee never came. Finally we finished our game, still no bill! We had to wait an additional 15 minutes for our bill only to find out we were all charged a service fee, mine was $11.00 because it was categorized an "event service", which was never explained to my friend that made the reservations. When we asked our server why the charge was applied, he could not explain and referred us to the manager. Okay after another 15 minutes it was determined to be sort of a gratuity for set up of our large party and we all ended up paying it with no problem, this could have been avoided had the server been better apprised on policy. All in all the bocce and food will make me come back again, although I really wish management would read these reviews and make appropriate adjustments on a very fixable problem.

I am a big fan of Campo di Bocce. It is my favorite place in the Tri-Valley to bring out of towners or just to come for some entertainment. My favorite Antipasti is the Calamari and the Bruschetta. The Calamari is fresh, crispy, flavorful and served with two delicious sauces. The Bruschetta is bright with fresh tomatoes, basil and some type of garlic cheese spread. I can not play Bocce without these two appetizers, it's just a package deal. I prefer to play on the outside courts, even at night time it is enjoyable because there are heaters above the courts. It is reasonable pricing to play just make sure you make a reservation. For dinner we usually get pizza. Our two favorites are the Luigi and the Gorgonzola. I have had multiple entrees that are good but still prefer the pizzas. The crust is crispy, the cheese and other toppings are primo quality and I just can't get enough. This weekend I tried the Brunch for the first time, I was very impressed. The brunch buffet consisted of pastries, fresh fruit, eggs benedict, made to order omelettes, a meat carving station, salads, desserts, I could go on and on. It was very good and we all walked away quite stuffed. I have never been let down by the service and quality of food. I highly recommend coming here for a good time.

I had a lunch here several weeks ago. I was in doubt, Subway or this place. I made the right choice! I had a lasagne, way too much for me for lunch, but pretty ok. Maybe it could have been a bit more 'spicy'. The flavors were in there, but just a little bit 'dull'. The temperature could have a been higher, especially when you eat it outside on a plate that was not pre-heated. Since I was a bit in a hurry, that was ok though. I think I will show up a few more times. The price was ok, considering it was worth two lunches :-) My wife enjoyed the other half of it later at home.

Had a staff company outing here we had lunch then played Bocce Ball. The food is great, I personally am not big on wine but they were able to muster me up a cocktail that I just loved! Bocce Ball was so much fun! I had no idea what to expect but am glad we went it was a great place for company team building!!!

Have been here a couple of times for Sunday brunch and always love it! We most recently came here for Father's Day. My wife had made the reservation weeks in advance but unfortunately they didn't have it in their system! She was pretty livid but the management was great and still accommodated our party of 10. Thanks for saving my Father's Day guys! We have always received nothing but great service here and love the brunch buffet! All of the stations have wonderful selections and the brunch includes unlimited drinks and cocktails. We usually play bocce too but the lane time seems to fly by too fast. But still a great and fun place with good food and drink! I always leave this place happy.

A large group of us celebrated a birthday on a rainy, winter, Saturday morning. We made our reservation and played alongside some older folks who gave us a few pointers. The host was helpful in explaining and clarifying the game and getting us appetizers while we played. They were flexible with our group and allowed us to swap players in and out during the time we reserved. Lunch was decent (nothing too memorable); our server from bocce stayed with us and was very accommodating. A fun place for small or large groups and any time of the year since they have indoor and outdoor courts.

Tries to hard to be cool. Bad, bad pre-prepped Italian food that is probably trucked in and re-heated. Overly saturated in low-end cooking oils and salty. Dispassionate staff, seems to care less if your needs are met or not. Have been there for a couple of events and each one has been disappointing in terms of service and food quality. Beyond group events, this is not a date night spot. Expect a noisy atmosphere. The Bocce courts are nice, but only if you would like to play with friends with drinks. The food and service is sub par. Giving two stars for service and food quality. Ciao!

Good time with friends. Helpful bocce staff to explain the rules. Food/Drink is hit or miss - I like the Pancetta-Wrapped Prawns & Calamari. Big, clean place, service is a little slow. Nice heated outdoor courts.

I think this concept was a great idea. I have been a few times and have always enjoyed myself. I love games and I love eating. I just think it is so fun to be able to play a group game after eating... (or before) (or during?). Bocce is a great group game, and besides the rare people who practice and are good... most of us are equally unskilled. They have a lot of courts (just make sure you reserve beforehand!) I also think $10/person is a pretty good deal for an hour and a half worth of play. I do, however, think the food and drink are overpriced. But it is a pretty nice restaurant, so it's to be expected. I think the food was pretty good. They have some good drink specials for happy hour that I really want to come for... Make sure to check those out. There is plenty of parking, and they are good at accommodating groups and birthdays. I definitely recommend checking this place out!

The food is really above normal, but the service continues to disappoint. I sat at the bar tonight and had to interrupt the bartender multiple times to order a beer, get a dinner menu, place an dinner order, get bread, and get my check. No one seems to pay attention to the folks right in front of them but are constantly running around trying to take care of other issues. Maybe it's just a one-time anomaly but I won't be back.

The atmosphere is fun, with the bocce courts next to the dining tables. I enjoyed watching the games. The prefix dinner is a nice deal: $20 for salad, entree, and dessert. (I had the chicken marsala.) The service was very good.

Anyone who loves bocce has to head to Campo di Bocce for a game. This was my first time here and I had a blast. Campo di Bocce has several indoor and outdoor courts than can be reserved for 90 minutes at a time so real bocci players can play on a professional court with professional equipment. The destination is a charming Italian hot spot with fountains, statues and a nice fire pit outdoors. They offer a full-service bar and restaurant so all needs can be addressed. We went to CDB after dinner to settle a score. While I threw the game we played so as to not hurt any feelings, we had a blast the whole time and took advantage of the great service to have a round of drinks here and there. Just a note for those purists out there - the outdoor courts play a little fast. Make sure you get a few practice tosses in first so you know how the balls will roll during your game.

I went to Campo di Bocce last month when I was visiting my family. I had been there before, but I officially fell in love with the place during my last visit. We reserved an indoor court for 8 of us. We brought some local wine (which they will cork for free) and played Bocce for about an hour. This was a good activity for introducing my boyfriend to the fam! The guys especially got into the game. Unfortunately, the group ahead of us was late getting off of the court, so our session was cut short by the staff who kicked us out at the scheduled time. Understandable, but frustrating. After the game, we moved to the back patio for dinner. We all tried their three course meal, and I loved the chicken marsala. Delish! There were a few issues with service, like forgetting a salad and getting some orders confused, but nothing too serious. My family has deemed that day at Campo de Bocce "the best day ever" and I agree.

I had a party here for 17 people. Technically you can only do regular dining for up to 16, but the 17th was a little kid and sat on his mom's lap so we got away with it. I didn't want the event dining because you get salad, entree and dessert, with bottomless pasta bowl, but that's not how my family eats. We prefer more variety. I came in with the menu printed, how many of each dish I wanted written down, and gave it to the waitress before the guests arrived. Nobody ordered anything but drinks at the table and it worked beautifully. Everything came out together, hot, and it was stress free. Christina was our head server and she was awesome. Pleasant, helpful, kind, humorous, she is an asset to the restaurant. The food was good, nobody had complaints. We tried so much stuff; antipasto plates, fried ravioli, calamari, bruschetta, 3 different pizzas, 3 different pastas, it was all good. I ordered at least 2 of each dish and 3 of the spaghetti and meatballs. The Mac and Cheese went over especially well. The servings are HUGE, I ordered way too much food, everybody took it home and we had leftovers for days. It's not gourmet but most people, except finicky foodies, will be be happy with it. Things to know: You can bring 4 bottles of Livermore wine, any winery, without a corkage fee. If you bring dessert, which we did, there is a 2 dollar/person plating fee. No big deal, we brought a Costco cake and left the excess there, which the servers were happy to get, who doesn't like cake? We were able to get a last minute Bocce ball court, it's 5 bucks per person per hour, but they were really nice and only charged us for 5 people, because we had such a large group people were swapping in and out, only playing a round or two each. The only reason it doesn't get 5 stars is the difficulty making the arrangements. I wasn't told when I first called to reserve the table that there was a max on the number who could be seated, and I wasn't sure how many people would be attending until I sent out the invitation. Just so you know, it's 16 or you have to do event dining. When I called with the final number I have to say it wasn't a pleasant conversation, being told I couldn't order family style, but I meant dishes being passed around, family style to them means a big bowl of bottomless pasta. The person was snooty correcting my erroneous belief of what constituted family style. I told the person I was going to preorder and there wouldn't be individual orders, and was told the kitchen couldn't accommodate all the plates I wanted to order coming out at once. Seriously? You serve 100+ people in the dining room and the kitchen can't handle 3 pizzas and 6 or 7 pasta dishes coming out at once? It turned out to be completely untrue. Everything ran smoothly and was great. Had I really listened to the person and took what she was saying seriously, I would have canceled the reservation, thinking the restaurant was inept and couldn't handle a party of 16, and it almost seemed like too much of a hassle to have a party there. It was almost like she didn't want my money, which would have been a shame for them because we ended up spending over $400 bucks there. Everybody had a great time and it worked out just fine. Parking is easy. It's a big room, people are playing Bocce while you eat, if you want a more intimate party this isn't the place to do it, but if you are a large boisterous group and have kids, this is a good choice.

I came here for the first time with my family to celebrate my mom's birthday. We played a game of bocce and had dinner. The bocce courts are decent, we had an outdoor court. I'm used to playing on grass so it took some time to get used to the speed of the ball on their courts. The people playing bocce ball next to us were smoking cigars, even though smoking was not allowed (they even had a sign). We politely asked two different workers if they could ask them to stop and nothing was done about it. No big deal. While playing bocce we ate a pizza (The Boar Sausage) which was the tastiest thing we experienced there. After bocce, we ate dinner. Our table ordered calabrese, chicken and broccolini, gnocchi gorgonzola, tri-tip and arugula, and grilled peach chicken. I tried some of each, and everything was extremely bland. I can't even say which of these dishes were the best. It was some of the worst Italian food I've ever tasted. You could have a much better meal at a gross chain such as Olive Garden or Macaroni Grille. Then to top it all off, after spending a few hundred dollars on our meal and bocce, because we were celebrating one day after my Mom's birthday (my brother had to work on the actual day), she was not entitled to her free dinner/game of bocce. Pretty cheap of them! Everyone left with a bad taste in their mouth (literally) and we will not be coming back. Save your money and your time!

Good food. Good prices. Varying service. I came here with my parents for a late Father's Day dinner. It's a section of Livermore I've never been to before, its kind of in the middle of nowhere. It's a huge place, with both indoor and outdoor bocce ball courts (?). There is also a large outdoor dining area with a huge fireplace. We were seated quickly, although it seemed a bit unorganized as far as the staff figuring out whether you wanted to eat or play bocce. The waiter was friendly enough, and attentive for a while. On mondays martinis are only $5, and you can even get top shelf vodkas. For appetizers, we got the calamari and the antipasti. For dinner, all of us went with the awesome prix fixe menu, which includes a salad, an entree, and a dessert for only $19! $27 if you want wine with it, a red and a white, 3 oz each. I went with the caesar salad, chicken marsala (because they were out of osso bucco, which had been the special for Fathers day the day before), and the tiramisu. The antipasti was decent. Pepperoni, salami, ham, and pancetta with olives, fresh mozzarella, and a roasted head garlic served cold. Very standard antipasti, good but nothing special, although the roasted garlic was interesting served cold. The calamari was excellent!! Fried perfectly, with a slightly spiced batter, nice and tender, not rubbery or overcooked. One of the better calamari's ive had. The caesar was good, fresh, but unfortunately I didnt find out that you could add anchovies on top of it until after I was done eating it. Next time. I usually don't get chicken marsala because I'm not much of a fan. I think i've had it frozen too many times or something. But here, I was pleasantly surprised. The chicken was tender and juicy, and there was just enough mushroom sauce, not completely soaking and overpowering the chicken. Fresh and clean. The mashed potatoes were also great, extremely garlicky and buttery. The tiramisu ended up being okay. It was more of a cake version than using actual lady fingers, i couldnt detect a hint of rum, and it seemed like there was just whipped cream rather than marscapone cheese. It was an okay dessert, just not proper tiramisu. During the first half of the meal, servers were very attentive, and I never got down to less than half of my water before it was refilled. For the second half, our waiter disappeared for a little longer each time, and we waited for the bill for quite a while. Overall, this place has good food for very reasonable prices. I will definitely be back to try out their osso bucco. And of course $5 martinis.

Great concept, beautiful facility, great fun. The Bocce Ball is fantastic, the food is only ok and the service is lousy. The owners are really missing an opportunity with the restaurant portion of this facility.

I like this place. It is a bit pricey, even for the livermore wines, and I've never played bocce there -- but the food is good. Chicken parm is my italian benchmark food and I enjoyed it. I was also a big fan of the artichoke dip appetizer. My wife and I enjoyed the food both visits and it was a nice place to take an out of town guest. I had no trouble with service.

I am not sure what happened to the other Yelpers, but this place was fantastic. It could have been the good company, but I thought our service was fantastic. My only complaint would be they don't serve Ginger Ale, boo hoo.... Seriously the lamb pops were amazing, the bread looked delicious and the Fish and Chips I had were incredible. I even ate all of the coleslaw on the side, which is something we all leave behind. The Fish melted in my mouth, even though I am sure it was not Angel Fish? and the crab cakes with the mashed pots were amazing. Luckily I was able to sample my partners plate ;) Did I mention the Chocolate Flour-less Torte? OMG, amazingly delicious, the raspberry dribble made it almost better than.... We did not even make it for the game, we were just too full.... I know a place has yummy food when I think and talk about it the next day. Did I mention the server we had was great too? I will be back again with my possible $100 coupon!

Great Experiences every time! Been here at least 6 times now. Good place to come with family for a day of some fun and decent food. Good place to come for a date night with another couple... and most recently... had my son's birthday party here and was worried it might be too over the top for my 7 year olds party but it worked out great! The service was good, courteous and very accommodating. It was relaxing for parents we got plenty of food and unlimited (non-alcoholic) drinks and it was way cheaper than any kiddie venue you could have picked in the area. Management was very nice and helped me coordinate a last minute party here. They might start considering options for kids hopefully. I joked that they should think about rubber or plastic bocce ball for young kid parties. We really had to stay on top of the kids since the balls are heavy and can be dangerous if you have eight 7 year olds wielding these balls at each other but we kept everyone in check and as a result it was a great time for all. The parents loved the relaxing atmosphere. We had our party on a Saturday and it was very nice. Best place for adults really.. but we made it work for the kids too. Food is good, atmosphere is nice and you have to get an outdoor court in the summer months... its fantastic! We really enjoy this place which is why we keep coming back! Way to go Campo Di Bocce!

Very relaxing outside patio with fireplaces and bocce courts. I had the make your own pasta dish, with meatballs and the other 2 people at my table were poaching my balls they were so good. Good sized portions and very kid friendly. Pricing is decent, expect $13-20 for entrees. Services is good but slow. Not the place to go if your in a hurry but if your having a lazy Sunday dinner, its perfect.

I went with some family that were visiting from out of town. We went mostly to play bocce but also had a pizza during the visit. The place has a good atmosphere and most of the staff seems friendly. The pizza is ok for what you pay and nothing to write home about. But the crust is authentic italian crust. It is a fun place to go but a little on the pricey side.

Often times the service leaves you scratching your head, there are a few longer tenured servers that do a great job, but you don't always get them. Food is always excellent and the Bocce courts are a blast. They get a little tight about game times, which is understandable given the popularity of the game, but they could be a little nicer about ending the game. We are lucky to have this place so close to our home, and the entire family has a blast when we are here. Also, $38 Gott 815 is a deal.

A lot of people come here for bocce ball, but this is a solid restaurant on its own as well. Their outdoor seating area is beautiful, with trees, fireplaces, and decorations. Full bar, good beer and wine, and excellent customer service. I felt that every waiter I had here was very personable, respectful, and catering to the diners. I came here with my boyfriend twice, and we had a very relaxing yet romantic lunch/dinner outdoors. They accidentally charged us a little extra, and when we pointed it out, they gave us a $20 gift card for next time (a clear indication of excellence bravooo).

Perfect birthday dinner for one who is near and dear to me. Campo Di Bocce has delicious food, impeccable service, and a fun atmosphere. This is a great venue for a rehersal dinner, a birthday party, a gathering of friends, or even date night. Their menu provides mainly Italian dishes (the margarita pizza is darn good) that are generous in portion size, as well as reasonable in price point. In short, come hungry, leave happy. Thank you Campo Di Bocce!

We came here for a work leadership function and let me tell you - I LOVED IT! I just wish it or something similar was closer! We had rented the 4 bocce courts outdoors so we had an enclosed space just for our large corporate group and that was very nice. The place is super clean and the staff was very very atttentive. We had a huge variety of food - apps and pizzas and just really everything - deserts too - and IT WAS ALL YUMMY! This is such a great place for parties, group events, team building, i only wish again there was one closer to Roseville! The only gripe was the parking is ridiculous. It shares a very tiny parking lot with a few other businesses, and otherwise you have to park on the road which doesn't seem the safest for our vehicles. All in all - a great time, next time im in Livermore, I will try to get a reservation to play some boccee :)

I would leave a negative star if I could- I will never come here again.. My girlfriends and I are planning a wedding, apparently we were too loud (in the bar), we were told this would be our last drink- as our Mexican laughs made him feel uncomfortable, as we were taking over the bocce with our loud conversation; really- over the loud establishment- & to top it off- we're too intoxicated; Are you kidding me?! This is our first and last drink at the bar- we just spent over $300 in the restaurant, service was AMAZING! And then to get disappointed by the bar service- the worst. Tom is the worst server- he needs a customer service class- 6/27 @ 9:30pm

How fun!! We came here for a work event on last week and had a blast. They were able to get our group of 11 in on a Thursday at 5pm without a reservation. Score. We had a great server who got our drinks started immediately. Remember: no drinks on the court! My vodka soda was made well. For appetizers we had the bruschetta and cheese platter. The cheese plate was cool but the bruschetta was kinda gross. It tasted like they put goat cheese on it. Not into it. We had the court for 1.5 hours and we were able to get a few games in. They provide a free instructor to come teach and explain the rules. He did not hover to much at all but checked in to help which we appreciated. After we wrapped up playing we sat down for dinner. We started with some calamari- very good! Wine choice for me was Cakebread Chardonnay ($22 per glass! Eek. Luckily my company had this tab). They also give TONS of table bread which i really appreciate!! Servers were super attentive and helpful. For dinner i had the cioppino! Absolutely fresh and yummy! Full of seafood! Kinda lacking sauce, though. I also tried the pesto shrimp pasta, pretty good! My coworker had the veggie calzone and was not a fan. Overall, we had so much fun. This place is great for a date, work event, or i have known people who did wedding events here! Very family friendly too- i saw kids and elderly here. I hope to plan a family event here soon! Thanks Camp Di Bocce!!!

Large venue with plenty of courts inside and out. The food is decent, although not spectacular, and is of secondary importance to actually playing bocce and bonding with your group. On that note, I get the sense that this is not as much a place for an impromptu game with your family or a small group as it is a place to gather for larger groups who reserve far ahead of time, particularly corporate ones like team-building or sales exercises. If indeed you're here for the latter purpose, you've found a great spot.

Dinner and a game of bocce ball certainly triumphs dinner and a show. Why not work off your dinner while you're eating? I came here for a get together of my dad and his golf friends' families since we usually have a get together every year. Most of us have never played boccee ball so one of the guys explained it to us and it was pretty simple if you've never played before. Some say it's a "senior sport" but it's pretty fun! The food here was pretty great, we got a lot of appetizers and pizza, but the pasta that other parties were ordering smelled great. We thought it was weird that the sign in the parking lot said to lock your cars and hide your valuables. Made me question the area because it was located in the middle of nowhere basically and lots of vineyards. All in all, never would have thought of bocce ball as an outing but definitely would come back!

What a fun little spot to play bocce! I never knew this location existed until recently attending a birthday event here. Pretty awesome that it's rather spacious for a bocce venue, and even has indoor + outdoor court options. I didn't try the food here, but the menu looked fairly extensive with a good selection of casual eats. Overall, a great place to organize a group event or just gather for a round of friendly competition!

We came here to try this place before deciding to book our rehearsal lunch here. We've never played bocce before and the staff was friendly and showed our entire wedding party how to play and was great at coming back to us to see if we wanted extra drinks or to check up on us. As for the food what I really enjoyed was: 1. calamari: probably one of the best calamari I've had. The gremolata and remoulade sauces paired perfectly with the calarmi. They were fried to perfection. 2. Bruschetta: The garlic and tomatoes with basil on top of the crostinis were simply amazing and very flavorful. 3. spaghetti and meatballs: very authentic dish and tops well with parmasean cheese and some tobascco hot sauce 4. artichoke chicken salad: this was favorite among our wedding party. Everyone loved it. Next time I definitely want to try their fried ravioli and proscuitto mac and cheese. This place was filled with families and children of all ages. It was definitely perfect for our rehearsal luncheon.

One of the best Sunday brunch places I have been to in a very long time! So glad to hear from a friend that Campo had Sunday Brunch we had to go! The buffet was placed in the middle of the place in front of the indoor bocce courts. Plenty of room to walk/serve from both sides. All drinks were included in your meal. They also offer Mimosas, Bloody Mary's, Tequila Sunrises, beers and any other well drinks they can make you FREE for the first 90 minutes of your meal! JOY!! Beautifully displayed were pastries of muffins, mini croissants, assorted danishes. Ripe melons and pineapple slices. Cheese platter with cheddar, Swiss and something else I can't remember. Charcuterie board of ham, salumi and prosciutto. There was also Smoked Salmon and cream cheese and capers and onions. 3 types of fresh salads. Yummy peel and eat shrimp. The typical brunch items of bacon and sausage, french toast, eggs benedict and an omelette station with prime rib and roast turkey also baked chicken and a hot pasta dish. The desserts were also good. Mini Cheescakes in at least 4 different varieties, cannoli's, carrot cake slices, chocolate cake slices and tiramisu. Service was excellent! Our waiter kept the drinks coming, filled waters, cleared used plates. Sunday brunch was only $29.95! What a deal! We had a great time and will definitely come back!

I have to say I was very disappointed with this place!!! Horrible service and once I brought our issues to the manager, he could care less. We went for a corporate event and will never go back. I emailed them after our experience, they never emailed me back not even to just apologize. The more people I have spoken to, the more I realize what happened to us wasn't an isolated event - they are known to have horrible customer service. If you are coming here for a special event or company outing I highly recommend somewhere else b/c they could care less if the day gets ruined.

Based on this restaurant having food and games this review will cover both individually. First we went in a large group of about 12 people on a Sunday with the intention to play bocce ball and eat some food along the way. Most of the group ordered food & drinks and ate while we played. Here are a few important points to note: *Drinks: Slightly over priced but the bartender was not measuring every drop of liquor and it seemed to way in our favor if you catch my drift. That said, the buzz came quick and I was more then willing to tip a barkeep that was making righteous nightcaps! *Food: I ordered a medium meat & veggie pizza which was more then enough for two. Really nice ingredients large cuts of fresh sausage and tomatoes. Definitely toppings heavy, lighter crust pizza. All and all very tasty and enjoyed it very much. -Also ordered cheesy bread wasn't bad just wasn't overly flavorful probably wouldn't get that again though. *Bocce Ball: it's was $12.50 per 1.5 hour which wound up being about one to two games for a noob. If you ask they offer a tutorial of sorts. Ours was given by a young man that could only be described as someone with the verbally urgency of someone who needed to pee really bad. So a lesson that should have taken 10 minutes was over in about 2. So overall the game was a ton of fun and I could see this game being fun with as few as two or as many as in our case 12. *Atmosphere: We played outside and although it was a bit cold they had outside heaters on both sides of the court. They also had a fireplace if you wanted to snuggle up spectate. Pretty simple to sum this up, amazing! I can go on and on about the details but you know a place that has stellar ambiance when you feel it and this place has it. *The bottom line: Good food, good drinks, great atmosphere. This is a fantastic canvas to create an amazing evening.

My sister and her good friend had their dual birthday party here at campo di bocce with a private room that could accommodate up to 30ppl. Our whole party had the Sunday brunch which had: Assorted fruits Assorted muffins and pastries Meat platter of salami and prosciutto Loxs and bagel platter Assorted Salads Olives Mozzarella and tomatoes Shrimp Eggs Benedict Bacon and sausages Pork cutlets Waffles Omelet station Chicken and prime rib station Assorted Italian desserts Everything was super delicious especially the prime rib which was my personal favorite. Service was very attentive and friendly, made sure our mimosas and Bloody Mary's were never empty. This place is perfect to have birthdays, bridal showers, a bachelorette party and framily get togethers. Must come back next time to play some bocce ball!

This place doesn't even deserve a one star; it deserves none. Never in my life have I ever experienced racism and sadly this was the first time this has happened. The food was good but the staff at the bar aka 'Thomas' was SO rude and just blatantly disrespectful. You would think that people like this wouldn't exist in 2015 but sadly they do. What a shame. I would come back but after my experience here I don't think that will ever happen. I don't tolerate ignorant people.

Great place for corporate events & large group outings. Ample parking and the venue itself is quite big. We played indoors which was a lot of fun, the host explained the game of bocce to those of us who never played before. He was friendly and helpful, got our food order (appetizer and drinks) very quickly. After about an hour of bocce, we sat inside for our lunch. I ordered the chicken parmesan which came out delicious: very big portion as well, even though it was during lunch. Minus 1-star for the food, which was good, but my pasta noodles were a little overcooked and the chicken was too oily (compared to other places I've tried). Still, a fun place to dine and play bocce with a large group.

SO MUCH FUN! Came here on a date, and we reserved a lane. This is a great alternative to just doing dinner or bowling. We got 1.5 hours of play time with a waiter, and we could eat and drink while playing casual bocce. On Wednesdays, if you buy two glasses of wine from the same bottle - you get the bottle for the price of the glasses...an added bonus. The service was slower than we would like but the calamari was yummy and everyone is friendly. This is the perfect date spot.

Bocce, like bowling, is a drinking sport! Was here for a team building event. A lane and a server are assigned for your group. After the instructions, bocce away! It's fun and there's opportunity to eat, drink and socialize with your group. There were about 10 of us on each side playing, great for large groups. There's a full bar with 4-5 beers on tap. We had the bruschetta, calamari, and meatball sliders. All were good. I'm sure that reservations, if not required, are recommended.

*This review is only for the restaurant not the bocce courts* They have a ton of seating to bring big families or parties. We had a group of 12. The service was the worst part about this place unfortunately. It took us a long time just to get water and then another long time to find our waitress to order. Then a long time to get our food. Then another long time to get our check. It just felt like a lot of waiting. They only reason I am giving this place 3 stars is because the food was really good. If you aren't in a rush and can spend a considerable amount of time here then I would suggest it.

We had reservations at 6pm for a party of 7, celebrating two birthdays. I made an early reservation hoping to avoid some of the bocce noise, but no such luck. When the waiter first approached our table, I asked if there were specialty house cocktails. He started to tell me the food specials. When I said no, cocktail specials, he had a deer in the headlights stare - apparently he's never been asked this question. So he responded "order anything you want". Two of our party ordered blended margaritas. Nope, sorry, we don't serve blended drinks. One of our party order a Bellini - nope sorry, only serve those at brunch. Guess the response should have been "order ALMOST anything you want". One of us ordered a glass of pinot grigio, but a glass of pinot noir was brought to the table. Another ordered the cherry Italian soda - got blood orange soda. Another ordered a glass of chardonnay - a bottle was brought. This does not bode well for dinner and we should have taken our cue from the drinks, finished them up and sought out dinner someplace else. So, on to dinner. Bib lettuce salad, bland, dressing had no flavor.................seemed to be plain olive oil. I ordered the spinach salad with grilled chicken. Again, flavorless dressing, burned bacon, orange pits still in the orange slices, the grilled chicken was so dry I could only eat a few bites. The linguini with clams was full of sand and was sent back. To their credit the replacement was brought fairly quickly, but was again sandy and gritty, inedible. The waiter was pleasant when asked for something, but we had to ask for everything. I ordered iced tea at the beginning of the meal and had to ask for a glass of additional ice twice because it was brought with only a few cubes floating. My drink was never refreshed unless I asked. The waiter anticipated nothing in the course of service. So having a pleasant attitude is nice, I don't want to have to constantly flag down the server to get what I need. That's not service. I will give him credit that he removed the sandy clams and the spinach salad from our check. All in all, this was a very disappointing experience. I don't know if the problem stems from the noise level and the waiter simply could not hear, or from lack of training. Both service and food were not up to par. We live very close and Campo Di Bocce could be our go to restaurant, but we don't return.

I would give this place 3.5 stars if I could. We came here on a Sunday night. It wasn't too packed. We were seated right away. It's a very unique layout. The bocce ball courts take a chunk of the room. It also seemed like there was a reception/rehearsal dinner outside. This is a nice location for those. I ordered the fettucini alfredo and added mushrooms, broccoli and sundried tomatoes. It was pretty good, really creamy. Sundried tomatoes were average but the food was good. It also came out really quickly. I also got an italian soda. This was an italian cream soda. Had I known about the cream, I may have specified. It was really sweet. Everyone else's food looked good and also came out really quickly. All in all, it was a good experience.

We popped in here for lunch on Friday and it was delicious! Service was fast. Atmosphere was nice as well. We ordered calamari for an app... then got a caesar salad with salmon as well as a calzone. The salmon on the salad was cooked perfectly and seasoning was so good! As we got in the car... we all were talking about how impressed we were with the food. Nothing fancy, but perfect for a quick lunch or dinner option!

First and foremost, I just had my wedding and this was one of the easiest and best vendors to deal with. Rebecka, Take a Bow! You rock as a multitasking queen! You exude professionalism with a flare to boot! You made my wedding rehearsal a breeze! Everyone kept commenting on the venue, the food, the atmosphere, the flowy amazingness of the event! I actually attribute it all to Rebecka! Wedding rehearsals rock here! Do it, don't hesitate! We will all certainly be back to play, drink and relive our fun times here!!!

I come here for my birthday every year, as well as for random nights out with the gang. Perfect place for a laid back, relaxing night of wine, bocce and bonding with loved ones. The ambiance is fantastic and service impeccable. As for the food, I tried the clam linguini for the first time the other night and wasn't a fan. The white wine-olive oil sauce was just a watery sauce that did not coat or flavor the linguini. Felt like I was just eating wet pasta. This is my first ''meh'' moment here out of all my visits so it doesn't effect my updated rating. Still a great place overall!

My boyfriend and I came here about a month ago for the first time. We only played 2 rounds of bocce ball, so I cannot say anything about the restaurant. I had made a reservation for us and when we showed up we were shown to our lane and offered a run-down of how to play, but we declined as we both are experienced players. We ordered drinks at the bar, then got to playing. It was a great time! We loved the atmosphere, and finished our night with a 1-1 tie. We are planning on a rematch later this month; maybe we will try the food this time. :)

Wow, the brunch fare has really gone downhill. I would now rate their brunch 1-2 stars but 4 stars for lunch and dinner. Since my initial review, I returned to brunch a few more times. Each time I left less than satisfied. I recently returned because my friend had her bday celebration here so I hoped for a better experience. The only positive thing I will say about their brunch is they accept large party reservations and were quite accommodating for our party of 20+. They also reserved the 2 adjacent bocce courts next to our tables. Thanks for that! I have no idea why the brunch food totally sucks but their lunch and dinner meals are delish. Prime Rib - 1 star If you're going to serve a dry roast PLEASE have a side of au jus available. You'd get a better slab of meat at your neighborhood Sizzler. Custom omelette - 4 stars The omelette station is standard and the line gets long. Possibly because this may be the ONLY decent thing to get. Baked Chicken - 1 star I thought I was getting fish! Either way, the sauce was flavorless and chicken was extremely tough. Salad - 3 stars A few different options to choose from. I had a spinach salad which I topped with olives and mozzarella balls. It was good enough. Bottomless champagne - 2 stars I could tell off the bat they were serving an Asti based on the sweetness. But 2 glasses in they switched to a very dry sparkling wine which had a terrible after-taste. Even mixing it with OJ couldn't salvage the flavor. SERVICE - 1 star For a party of 20+ we had ONE waitress refilling drinks. You only get 1.5 hrs to drink bottomless so a SLOW and FORGETFUL server was not ideal. I received my 2nd glass over 30 mins later. Are you kidding me?!?! This is because she took awhile to check on us and when she did she completely disregarded my order. She returned to the table next to us and gave them ALL of the glasses of champagne that our table ordered. Why not bring a CARAFE to the table to help YOU out and keep your patrons happy? I'm done coming here for brunch. $29.99 per person (plus tax and tip) is a waste of money!

Eat delicious Italian food, great drinks AND have fun playing bocce all at the same time! Friday nights can get crazy busy since they stay open until midnight. It's a fun and lively atmosphere in the vineyards. This place is perfect for large groups. Kids have a blast and bar area is a good place to hang out and watch the game. The decor is rustic Italian and has a great outside area. Very comfortable and fun.

Why would this place deserve less than 5 stars?!? Their staff are personable and takes initiative on things our party may need. Everything we needed was there before we can even ask for it! Way to stay on top of it! I will admit, I found this place random for a 25th birthday, but it turned out to be a great time! It's a great way to have all your friends mingle, esp if everyone doesn't know each other. If you have a big party, you can choose a bocce fix menu and the spread is delicious! The establishment is located in a plaza and parking is easy to come by. Although the location is far, I'd recommend this place for any business team building or simply getting new friends to mingle. I wish I would've taken pictures, but I was having too much fun playing bocce ball! Haha.

My family and I went here for Mother's Day and the service was amazing. The waiters/waitresses are so friendly and very attentive. While we were playing Bocce they were consistently making sure we had drinks and were having a good time. They also picked up the tab for my moms Bocce as a nice Mother's Day gesture. The food was great, all of my family members enjoyed their dishes. A little pricey but it is worth it for a great time and good food and drinks!

Fun place for a gathering with multiple generations. Forget table etiquette. This is perfect for kids who fidget and can't sit quietly at table or to get adults to loosen up. Eat at the tiny tables by the bocce courts or at a proper dining table. Food and service is just OK. We felt a bit neglected when the place got busier as it seemed that the staff paid more attention to the bar crowd. An hour and a half wasn't really enough time to both eat and play. We felt rushed towards the end; however, we couldn't extend our stay since the courts had another reservation right after ours. Overall, a good time.

A few months have passed since I had my Rehearsal Dinner here and I wanted to add a few quick comments on group events here. As usual, the food was excellent and service was perfect. We had a group of about 35, including a few little kids, and everyone was happy and having a great time. Part of the group deal is after dinner, they have a few employees come out and teach you how to play bocce. We were seated on the outside patio and we had those lanes reserved for us. All of our guests had a lot of fun and got very competitive. Everyone had plenty of food, dietary restrictions were well accommodated, and everyone had plenty to drink. Applause for our very busy waiters that were able to keep up with the refills! This has become a family favorite. Its great for small dinners, parties and Sunday brunch.

Went here yesterday for lunch to celebrate my future-father-in law's bday. It is a very cool place! Immediately walking in, I had to look all around because it has a very different feel than a restaurant. The bocce ball lanes were right inside the doors. Since we came in around 1pm and sat outside, this restaurant has a very laid back feel to it and you can't help but feel relaxed. After seated, we told the waiter that we had a birthday boy with us, he told us the birthday boy's appetizer, salad, entree, and dessert was on the house! We couldn't believe it! Birthday boy ordered the lamb lollipops, it was soooo deliciously cooked! The meat was moist and perfectly flavored. My fiancé shared 2 entrees, the salmon club and lamb burger. The lamb burger was very tasty, not as tasty as the lamb lollipops though. The salmon club was nothing special, just grilled salon. Overall, other than the salmon club, everything was delicious. The ambiance of the place was super calm and chill. The customer service was superb. Our waiter did an amazing job catering to us, even though we had a huge chunk of our bill discounted because of a birthday. We already plan on coming back on everyone in our family's birthday!

We went for Sunday brunch and bocce afterwards. The staff is THE BEST!! They were caring, attentive, and kind. Great food, super fresh. They told us they take pride in their brunch and it was really good! When it came time to play bocce, one of the staffers stayed with us, giving us tips and helping any way he could. We had a wonderful time!!!

Went to a wedding rehearsal lunch here. Food was great, drinks were good, and the instruction for the Bocci Ball was top notch.

Had fun playing bocce. Its $12.50 per person for 1.5 hrs. Didnt eat but had an irish coffee $8.50. Kinda expensive but still fun here. Place is pretty large. Played on the outside courts in the evening near their fireplace. The fireplace was on the smaller side and it was gas not real wood. It was windy and cold so we had the whole outside to ourselves which was nice. They have heat lamps on the courts and once started playing it wasnt cold anymore. Had a good time checking this place out.

The server Hector P was out standing however from the pretentious hostess who seemed to feel the phone was more important then greeting myself to the burned calzone I think ill try somewhere else next time I'm in the area

Finally tried this place so we could do something new! The bocce ball was a lot of fun but a little overpriced especially when you have a big group. They charged per person ($12.50) but since we had 6 people it ended up being $75 total for an hour and a half, which by the way they took 10 minutes to finally direct us to our court so we started late and didn't get our full time. Their food was plain, nothing special. Between the 6 of us two of us got pasta dishes, two calzone, a salad, and a pizza. We will def be back for some bocce ball but most likely eat somewhere else.

I'm giving this place 4 stars off top because a friend and I decided to meet here (an hr drive for the both of us) for brunch. Unfortunately, brunch had been canceled due to the season and was not scheduled to start back up until Dec 28th. Needless to say we were bummed because we were looking forward to the bottomless mimosas. I explained to the hostess our situation and she offered to speak with the manager. The manager (Jacob, I believe) was so kind and offered to give us a couple of appetizers on the house, and pay for our first round of mimosas, since there was no bottomless option. They do not typically serve breakfast, so we had to settle for lunch. Our server Chris, was AMAZING! They made sure we enjoyed every minute of our time there. The mimosas were delicious, and so was the food! We will definitely be back to try to the Sunday brunch!

Whether it was to celebrate a special occasion or just to play a game or two of bocce, we have always enjoyed coming here. We enjoyed last year's Mother's Day Brunch that the kids and I decided to bring my wife for another round this year. Just like before, there were several items to choose from but my eyes were fixed on the awesome prime rib and the tempting tiramisu. If they served calamari during that time, then I would definitely add another star... We've tried the Calabrese (with Alfredo sauce instead of Marinara), the Grilled Salmon (with herbed risotto and veggies), and the Tiger Shrimp Pasta. They were all very scrumptious, especially the latter with that pesto sauce and sun dried tomatoes! I will definitely give their Cioppino a whirl next time we stop by...

Coworkers and I go here when we have half days on Fridays. Its a fun time playing bocce ball, with lots of jokes and drinking. We usually split a pizza. I haven't been tempted by to much else on the menu. There are no corkage fees on Livermore wines (up to 4 bottles) which is a nice way to save some money.

Need an amazing venue to host an eclectic group of youths to seniors where the food is amazing, the service is tops and everybody has something to do? Well Campo Di Bocce is your place! I threw my Dad's 70th birthday here and everything was perfect. We did the party indoors as we had a few older party-goers and we were worried it would be too hot outside. Two long tables were set up in between the courts and they even made us a little beverage station (which was a party option on our package --it was so worth it to have pitchers of soda, iced tea, and lemonade available for guests) as well as a tiny gift table. I selected this menu for lunch (**big winners were sausage stuffed mushrooms, the salads, the Gorgonzola pizza and the tiramisu): ***sausage stuffed mushrooms (this was a crowd favorite) and their bruschetta with goat cheese/tomatoes (also really good) ***two cheese plates (these were nice, but we only ordered 2 for thirty plus people and we had tons to take home...not sure if I would do that again or maybe opt for the meat platters) ***Arugula salad bowls and Caesar salad bowls (these are a freakin' great deal and the salads were so good! ***Pizza! I chose the chicken artichoke pizza (Artichoke chicken with sundried tomatoes, feta and basil pesto), the Veggie (Portobello mushrooms, spinach, tomatoes, roasted red peppers and mozzarella) as well as the Gorgonzola (Prosciutto, mozzarella, gorgonzola and walnuts). They were all AWESOME but the Gorgonzola was everyone's favorite. ***Dessert Trays: I was going to bring in a cake, but when I figured in the cake cutting fee, I opted to have them do their best. And they did! The tiramisu is a must have and the cheesecake was divine. The cannoli paled in comparison, but there was also a knock your socks off flourless chocolate torte........so good! From my initial engagement with catering/events to the day of the party, the service was absolutely incredible. My family was floored at how well taken care of we were. It was seriously some of the best service, I have ever experienced and that at a large party is pretty impressive to me. I would totally host something here again. Just a few pointers if you are hosting a courtside party: ***You can bring up to 4 bottles of Livermore Valley wine with no corkage fee! I brought 4 bottles of Concannon and that was more than enough for lunch and kept my drink charges down ***Stagger your food: I staggered the apps, salad, pizza and dessert so that there wasn't too much food on the tables at one time (and everything that was warm, kept warm) ***Ask if you can come in early to decorate. They let me come in 30 minutes early so even though you don't need it b/c the venue is gorgeous, you can make it party-ready

Sun-drenched bocce courts near a vineyard and a wine bar? Doesn't get much more Italian than that. Campo di Bocce is authentic, and well-maintained to boot! The lack of sand courts is kind of a bummer (it's concrete or bust here), but it's still a great place to enjoy a sunny spring day -- and crush your rivals.

This is a great place to eat. Let me break it down as there are some tips you need to know. Make a reservation no matter what. Since there is a bocci ball court in the restuarant and big groups go there it could mean a long wait. if you are going on a romantic date i suggest eating outside, as its more quiet without the sound of people playing bocci. The atmosphere is warm and fancy. In terms of attire, i recommend a collar shirt n jeans for guys, a dress might be a bit much for women so dont overdress. Just dont roll through there in your midnight walmart run outfit. Its reasonably priced, 10-20 per entree, but the food is pretty freakin good. I always get the meat calzone because its sooooo good!! service was great when i went! bread is bomb too!

2 stars because of the venue & drinks- you screw up wine on a bottle. Other than that the food is crap. Seriously?!?! How can you screw up pasta?!? Taste-less. Deserts? crappy, horrible, on the tastebuds - especially for those who have a sweet tooth like I do. Step daughter ordered cheese cake- they put runny balsamic vinegar on there. (Why couldn't they reduce it to a honey consistency)-yack. Bread pudding was gooey yet warm. You'd think it'd be moist and flavorful, right? Wrong. Dry and the Crème anglaise looked like they Made it with corn starch with the gooping runny mash potato consistency. And with so much alcohol in that so called "Crème anglaise"- if they'd put it in a shot glass and served it at a club as a drink of the night - it was that strong. In all, please don't do here- you'll waste your $$$ and fuck up your taste buds.

Bocce ball anyone? Never knew they had a joint catered to the low ball game, but in Livermore? by a vineyard? Genius idea I might say! Looking for a great way to celebrate a birthday, graduation, anniversary, team building, or just have some fun? Bocce ball is your game. Catered to all ages, but majority a senior citizens game. Who would of thought to build a state of the art bocce ball arena combined within an Italian restaurant? Only Livermore and Los Gatos apparently. Venue is huge! choices of playing Indoors or Outdoors. Different sorts of packages applied such as with food or drinks. What's good on the menu? Appetizers: Calamari, Fresh veggie tray, Pancetta wrapped large prawns, and Fried ravioli. PIZZA anyone? Margherita, Meat & Veggie combo, and Cheese pizza... on top of that delicious SANGRIA!!! Did I mentioned we had dessert too? Check out Chef's Variety Platter =NY Cheesecake, Tiramisu, Italian style cannoli, Flourless chocolate torte, and a seasonal dessert which was a pumpkin breadcrumb cake. I think I needed to take a notch down from my belt after eating all this scrumptious bites. PS. if you don't know what Bocce ball is I suggest you Google it! LOL

Came here for our Accenture corporate event with the partners... didn't quite know what to expect until we walked in but were greeted by a lovely lady who assisted us throughout the night. Everything was very well organized from the alcohol (which we consumed a lot of) to food (which was delicious) to the bocce! If you don't come here for the food, the ambiance or the alcohol... come here for the Bocce because its awesome. Bring a large group and try to reserve the outside court. I wont bore you on how to play bocce as you can probably Google it but it is very fun. Especially due tot he fact that I had to take the place of a Accenture partner who couldn't make it and lead my team against another partner who had played Bocce for several years. Being just a consultant at the time was nerve wrecking but my team ended but winning so that was a plus! Come on over.. you will have a good time!

This place is fantastic. One of my absolute favorite places to eat in the Bay Area/valley (matter of opinion where you'd say it's located). Food is great, atmosphere is lively and always a nice buzz, staff is very helpful and courteous, courts (inside and out) are always perfectly maintained. This is a great place to come and have some great food and drink even if you don't play bocce, but if you and all your friends come and add a few games of bocce to your night you won't be sorry, you will have an absolute blast. Also, for the money, this restaurants brunch is incredibly hard to beat. The brunch menu is incredible, food is good, carving station, omelette station... It feels like i'm forgetting something??? Oh yea hosted bar is included with adult fee (off the drink menu of course, mimosas, bloody Mary's, ect..) Do yourself a favor, come to this great place and have an even better time with your family and friends.

I really liked the atmosphere in this place. Since I am not extremely picky about food, I can say that it was pretty good, and the price was reasonable. But most important, was the whole vibe of the place, which I really enjoyed. Laid back, but with plenty of energy, this place reminded me of my college years. I've spent several hours there with my friends and it was a lot of fun. If you are with the right group, this is the perfect hang out place. Try it, is totally worth it.

Maybe I'm just not a fan of large and loud places and it's also very possible I just wasn't in a good mood during this dinner. While I like the idea that you get to play a game while eating, I don't like sitting there, not playing, and being interrupted by cheers every now and then. I ordered the chicken Parmesan and switched out the spaghetti for a side of mashed potatoes. The spaghetti on the other plates of chicken parmesan didn't look that appetizing, so I'm glad I switched. Overall, my experience was pretty okay. I don't live in the area so I'm not sure if I'd return, but perhaps this model works well for other people; just not for me.

We absolutely love this place! When it originally opened we were a bit concerned because there didn't seem to be much management over site and the service was a bit iffy but things were quickly taken into hand and we are so glad! This restaurant has one of the most beautiful atmospheres in the tri-valley. The bar tending staff is fantastic and the food is above par. This has become one of our favorite spots to eat or just stop by and have a cocktail in the evening. They are open late and serve from the bar menu until 11:00 LOVE THIS PLACE!

I really enjoyed the experience at Campo Di Bocce! The workers were friendly and very welcoming. They taught our group how to play bocce ball and created a fun experience. Chicken Artichoke Pizza was delicious! Made with a pesto sauce and topped with artichoke hearts, chicken, and sun dried tomatoes. Definitely a great combination of flavor. Meat Lover's Pizza was also very good. Made with a marinara sauce and topped with salami, sausage and what looked like prosciutto. Also enjoyed this pizza but it's very meaty!

Excellent service, food and overall experience. Fried raviolis, calamari and stuffed mushrooms were among the favorites. Our server was attentive to our group of 13 needs. Despite the fact that no one in our group has ever played, everyone enjoyed bocce ball down to the last minute of our court time. I thought that the courtside party (food served along side and at the same time as bocce play) was a unique and special team building activity that was enjoyed by all.

Sevice on the slow side. Had to ask for more water constantly, had tô check on the status of items ordered, even had to ask where the waitress was so we can pay check. Food was ok. Name sounds much more upper scale than it really is when you see it in person. Hate leaving these types of reviews but I depend on honest when I read reviews before I even look at going. Maybe it was a change of shift I don't know. Even had to ask for desert menu when waitress dropped off check. Weird.

  • Zohra A.

Food was awful. Very bland and seemed all microwave.tI am not even Italian and it seemed like you took Ragu jar and topped that with all the food. The only chance we took at the end was dessert, and we were hesitating. We scored, the cannolies and triamusa cake hit the spot with a cup of tea. The hostess was rude and stand offish, and the waiter was socially awkward. We had to ask for refills and utensils. Also the water cups were these little cups and we had to ask for more water the whole evening.

Fun evening outing Unfortunately the court we was running late, so we only got to play for an hour instead of 90 minutes. Our server did give us a lower rate, but we didn't get to play for the full 90 minutes Their pizza was okay, but I think they should have a few more 'party type' appetizers for multiple people Would definitely go back

  • Scott C.

Mostly everything was great. The courts were good and Andair took care of us with drinks and a quick tutorial of the bocce rules. Jake hooked us up with a great deal. My gnocchi was alright but my girlfriend's salmon was delicious. They have gluten free options which are displayed on the menu. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars was the person working the front bocce desk when we originally arrived was not very nice and made us feel awkward from the get go. I would recommend this place for a date of a group outing. Courts are both indoor and outdoor which is nice depending on the weather.

I took my boyfriend her last month on a Saturday night because we were thinking of hosting a family party here. I had previously been to this location for a work function during the day and had an amazing time. I remembered the food as being great especially the pizza. This time the food was horrible. It had no flavor. Even the pizza was not great. We left most of the food on the table when we left.

Love Campo! I just did my husband's 30th Bday party there with all his friends this last weekend and he loved it! We did brunch and then bocce and our waiter Jake and the rest of the staff were awesome!! I would definitely have another event there! So worth the memories!!

This place is great for group events or even a fun and casual date night! I was very happy to find that I am SO GOOD at bocce ball. Love that you can have a few drinks and play some bocce before and/or after dinner. Food was delicious. Just wish they had a little more seating. Love that this place is suitable for all ages!

Held a rehearsal dinner here, but I must say dealing with Natalie was exhausting! She would take longer than acceptable to get back to you, the level of disorganization was crazy! It just armed like they were quick to take your money and not sit with you and talk about the plans. Bad vibes, food wasn't that great either! Will not be going back there!

Campo di Who??? Bocce with who's Balls??...so i ask the ladies what is BoCCe BaLl?....they inform me that you split up into teams and roll a ball in attempting to hit another ball, it's primarily played by a lot of old people?!?....Wow sounds boring!!.....but you know what playas?!?.... CAMPO di BOCCE is FUN FUN FUN, even Rebbeca Black would approve of Bocce Ball! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Pre-Game ~~~~~~~~~ So we come here on a Saturday Night for my friend's b-day, I told my boy Bobby V what else is out here in Livermore, not much as the highway drive up here was really depressing mix that with some Adele music made us shed a tear or two along the way (don't tell anybody). We get here and the place is poppin yo. But I look around and there is just so many old people, I mean I'm old too but I can still get jiggy went it, any-who we had about a 5-min wait before they walked us over to our Bocce Ball court outside. Game-Time ~~~~~~~~~~ The lady was really nice and explained the rules and it was confusing at first but once we got the hang of it is really fun. Plus they provide food and drinks while yr playing. Also we were on the outdoor heaters that keep the court area pretty warm. All I can say is 15mins into playing and I was suckered in completely and it was FUN FUN FUN! I would compare this game similar to golf but your playing on teams and they are many ways to help your team and even harm the other team when rolling yr Bocce Ball. Dinay-Time ~~~~~~~~~~ After we had got done playing we had dinner reservations at the table. First off the free bread was so good, me and my boy Bobby V killed like 3 baskets, every time we ran out they were really gracious in bringing out another one right away. The dining area is really nice, we had a party of 12-14 people and they had no problem accommodating us. I ordered the LASAGNA (Six layers of pasta, Bolognese sauce and three cheeses) yum yum in my tum tum!!! Side-Note ~~~~~~~~ On your birthday they offer you a free meal, so my friend ordered appetizer, entree, wine, and a dessert with a birthday candle was all free on the house compliments of Campo Di Bocce of Livermore!!

Went here on a Sunday evening, and had a decent time. Started off by getting a few beers and a few games of Bocce Ball. They had good instructions for first timers. They have lanes inside and outside. Then we had dinner there, and the food was decent. Just a bit over priced for the quality. The dishes were reasonably sized but the flavors of the food did not strike me as amazing. We got the pizza, and a ravioli dish, as well as the Alfredo pasta. TLDR: good place for bocce ball and drinks, the food is not worth the price.

  • Priya B.

When I was invited to Bocce ball and food, I really didn't know what to expect. I was very excited to try it and was very impressed with their set up. We had two lanes so there was food set up on both sides so we could grab snacks while we waited out turn. I loved the fried ravioli with marinara sauce, the lamb was absolutely amazing, the pizza was very good (we had a few different kinds and they were all good), and the caprese was yummy. All of the staff was very friendly and helpful. I will be planning my next birthday here!

My favorite place to play bocce and also my favorite place for a slice of tiramisu (are you kidding me! so deliciously rich and flavorful!). I went here on my b-day and I got a tiramisu on the house. Again, it is so good! There was only a few people in line ahead of us, so we decided to eat a meal while we waited our turn. The food was okay, and the drinks were okay too. The bartenders don't know how to make some drinks, just the standards, I guess. We were up to play and, we don't play too much, so if you want, they have a staff member help teach you the game. It may sound degrading but it really isn't. We went back to the staff member when we weren't sure on a couple of things and scoring. The staff were always so willing to help. It's a huge place, with indoor and outdoor courts, although I went in January and we didn't want to play outside. It's a great place for a big group of people, families or for couples. I would go again next time I'm in the mood for bocce!

Boo veggie calzone! What a letdown. It was exploding with veggies but I had to search for the cheese. The sauce on the side saved it (that stuff is good). I will choose something else next time, and there will be a next time. That's because they waive the corkage fee for Livermore wines. It is a great spot to end the day after wine tastings.

Was here for a late light lunch with the ladies in between wine tasting. The food was delicious! We had calamari and ravioli for appetizers and shared a pizza. Our server (Philip D.) was awesome! Thank you for being so sweet to our little party on my birthday. Will definitely come back out here on my next Livermore Valley wine tasting trip.

Campo Di Bocce is a fun place to host an event. The food is good, the space is nice, staff helpful and bocce is fun. I had my daughter's bat mitzvah part here a few years ago and everyone loved it - from young to old. The servers were very attentive and the events manager was great to work with. I've been to Campo a few times since to grab a bite to eat - enjoyable each time.

First time here for both dinner and bocce. The whole experience was positive - waiters friendly and attentive, folks in the bocce area equally attentive. Food was awesome and like the fact that there is no corkage for bringing in a bottle of Livermore wine -thanks Wente! Looking forward to coming back in the summer.

I've always enjoyed this place. Been for brunch, lunch and dinner. The brunch is a great selection of offerings buffet style! Pizzas are great! Calamari is tasty! My favorite is their eggplant Napoleon! If you have not tried this place I say go! There is also bocce ball that you can play inside or out!

I was here for an engagement party of 70-80 people. The space was a little tight and they had tables up against the pillars inside so there wasn't room to scoot back or for people to move around. The food and staff were excellent, they always made sure I had a drink in my hand which was very appreciated - just wish the drinks were a little stronger! This is a fun place to come for a party.

Service is not that good. We had to wait a long time to have our waiter open the wine we brought. No ice bucket until we asked. Dirty dishes not picked up and our waiter is playing bocce ball with other customers while we are sitting here waiting for our lunch order. Not impressed with the service. The food was okay.

It is very nice place for lunch and few rounds of bocce. Food is top notch. We ordered fried calamari, Cesar salad, antipasto, and fried cheese ravioli for appetizer. Awesome. Main dish, pasta and lamb lollipops. Tasty!!! A tray of deserts and coffee finished our lunch. Another hour of game? Fun for all. I am highly recommending this place and will be coming back.

3 1/2 stars is probably more fair. The setting is nice and the service was good, but I didn't think that that food was all that great....for brunch anyway. It was a $30 all-you-can eat that included your drinks, food, & dessert. While they put out a decent spread of food it just didn't taste all that great. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't good enough to make me come back anytime soon. With tax, tip, & playing bocce ($12.50 per person for 1 1/2 hours) it was about $50 per person. Not bad for the experience, but I just wish that the food tasted better. Maybe if I go for a regular meal it might be better?

Huge difference in the food this time. The lamp chops were cooked perfectly and tasted great with a hint of mint on them. The string beans were also delicious. The varied appetizers they serve while playing bocce were all good. They must have hired a new cook as the food is now worth coming here for. The place was packed on a Thursday night and everyone was having fun here.

Very hard to work with their catering and event manager. Never there and they actually never called back until about 1.5 months before our event. We wanted to have them as our rehearsal dinner spot. We do love the Campo Di Bocce in LG and I always get happy and excited when we happen to pass through Livermore.

We stopped here for appetizers and drinks only, though it was a nice little visit. Since hearing about this place from a friend, I had been tempted to try it out. I just wanted to stop here to get an appetizer and a drink with my babe before we headed home to cook are dinner. Located in livermore wine country, this place is newly built. Its a Bocce ball place which (to me) is quite interesting. Its quite large with extremely high ceilings. You walk in to the Bocce ball lanes/area to your left with the restaurant to the left of the building. I guess you could say its unique : ) We were seated at a high stool booth in the bar area. We were promptly greeted by a server and asked what we needed for drinks. They have a really great selection of wines to choose from which lead me to order a glass of the Coppola zinfandel for $8.00 which turned out smooth and delicious! There lunch in dinner menu is off the hook! With an outstanding selection of delicious items to choose from that I hope to come back in try in the near future. We decided to just get the Pancetta wrapped prawns and let me tell those suckers were delish!! 6 nice sized prawns wrapped of course in pancetta in sauteed in a savory flavorful light oil yum!! Overall, The place is quite noisy so, I would definitely say its more catered to large party's rather then a place to have a nice intimate date. The service we received was quite tentative. The prawns were 4 stars for it self and the selection on there dinner menu has me extremely eager to come back!

Family fun! I love the fact that you can play indoor bocce ball while enjoying appetizers and wine. I wouldn't come here for the food but the atmosphere is really fun. I had the chicken picatta which was very saucey and very salty. The best part of the meal was the flourless chocolate cake with vanilla gelato.

It's official: I seriously adore Campo di Bocce! How can I prove that? Well, I have spent my last two birthdays here! The food is delicious, the service is good and bocce is so much fun (especially if you have had a couple of drinks and like to compete--this is probably the only acceptable time to scream at your friends and family)! Campo di Bocce has a lot of good deals to offer: Half-off house wine at happy hour, prix fixe meals, and the birthday person eats and plays for free! I just really love the aesthetics and the ambiance and, hey, it doesn't hurt that it's located half a mile from my house.

Came to Camp di Bocce for a work sponsored event. It was the best work event ever! The grounds are beautiful and the food was delicious. The wait staff was very attentive and made sure that the food & drinks were always replenished and dirty plates were cleared. The cheesecake was amazing and I know I will dream about it until my next visit. I can't make comments on the courts since I am not a bocce ball enthusiast - but the staff was very helpful in helping is keep score and keeping us on track. It was a blast and I hope we come back soon!

A fancy, overpriced bowling alley. I was excited to try CDB since my dad loves Bocce and I thought he might enjoy going there on his next visit. Well, I'm glad we checked it out first, because he would absolutely hate this place. The noise level inside is completely overwhelming. We came in at 6:00 on a Friday evening and could barley hear the woman behind the front counter tell us to go talk to the hostess if we actually wanted to be seated. It was busy but there were empty tables inside and out. We asked for an outside table since we thought it would be quieter. It wasn't exactly quieter, there was a big party next to us and lots of folks at the bar, but at least it didn't have the echoey acoustics of a warehouse like the inside seating. There were two vegetarian pasta options but when the waiter finally came to take our order it turned out that they were out of one. He was not particularly helpful about helping us find another option and asked if we "needed more time". We eventually decided on the walnut gorgonzola pizza and the spinach salad, no meat. The first time they brought the salad it had panchetta on it, but they were reasonably polite about fixing that. The pizza was just ok. Lots of cheese but the walnuts were pretty flavorless. The one god thing I can say is that the kids liked their Mac and cheese and pizza. Be sure to ask for no parmesan and green flakes (parsley?) on the fries if your kids are picky like mine! They forgot the pineapple on my son's pizza but they did bring some out on the side when I asked. The flowerless chocolate tort was good for dessert and after asking two different servers they even eventually refilled out water. We never did get the dessert forks we asked for. Oh, and did I mention it is $12.50/1.5 hours Per Person for bocce? So figure an extra $50 if a group of four wants to play.... We'll be taking our bocce balls and wine in plastic cups to the park next time my folks come to visit!

3.5 stars but i just can't seem to give this place a right four. The bocce courts are fun but they're really nothing special - about three lanes and some balls - there is almost nothing to maintain. - Drinks and service was good. - The lamb chops were mouthwatering good. I normally dont like the grassy taste of lamp but the way they grilled it was AMAZING. Unfortunately, it was the only thing that was good on the menu. - We had some charcuterie that was pretty horrible - The bruschetta were passable - My butternutsquash ravioli was no good - it was literally just some butternutsquash pasta that was pretty unflavourful in a bed of olive oil. Tasteless and expensive. Come here for the fun of bocce ball, but maybe eat a bit before you come so you don't have to pay for the expensive and not so tasty food.

Birthday party w a good group of people. The food is okay but you don't really come here for the food. You come here for the atmosphere and fun. Its a great place to go w a group of people. Everybody is friendly and having a good time. I would recommend you have a few drinks here, eat light, and have the main course elsewhere. But it is a great place to have organized fun. 2 stars for the expensive food, 4 stars for the service and atmosphere.

We recently attended a 30th birthday party here. Even though we very rarely go to Livermore, we had actually been to another birthday party here a few years ago. Maybe it was partially due to the company being better, but i enjoyed my more recent experience here more. The staff was pleasant, knowledgeable about the menu, and really nice about making substitutions. It took a bit to get our food, but with everyone drinking and chatting, the time went by quickly. I was also pleasantly surprised by how much i enjoyed my calzone. It wasn't massive and they went light on the cheese as I had requested. My guy's burger was overcooked, (but they replaced it and comped it. ) Even the server noticed how badly overcooked it was. I wouldn't go out of way to come here, since it is in Livermore, but I would be happy to attend another party here, and would definitely recommend it to people. We had a pretty big group, and everyone was happy with the food, drinks, and bocce. I enjoyed the bocce, but i would need a lot more practice to be any good at it.

My husband and I were invited here by my girlfriend, for her fiance's birthday party on a Sunday night in September 2012. We weren't sure if we could both make it since he lives a few hours away but his schedule changed last minute and we were both able to attend. (Yay! Now I didn't have to drive). We made the 30 min drive from Concord to Livermore and found the place not too far off the exit. It was a lot bigger than I expected. My gf had arranged for the large room in the back and had 3 or 4 tables set up with the most custom, thoughtful setting you could dream up - so cute! Very nice. We had trays of meat, cheese, and olives placed on the table (which I imagine she ordered) and some delicious bread with fresh garlic and olive oil. I had to have eaten a couple full cloves that night. I'm not exaggerating. I put the garlic on everything. We had scoped the menu pre-party and found a prix fixe deal Sun. through Thurs. - We confirmed this was available during the party with our server (The servers were FANTASTIC!!!) - it was! I ordered a Salmon plate with herb risotto - it came with Caesar salad and choice of dessert - I picked Tiramisu - all for $20!! Hubby ordered Pork with a house salad and a chocolate torte. Also $20. The food was unreal. My dish was definitely better than his. His had a lot of carmelized onions and fingerlings on it rather than fresh veggies and risotto. Soda and iced tea ($2.50 each) - and we experienced an extremely enjoyable meal for just under $50.00. They let us use the room to serve the cake my gf had brought (amazing - I ate some of it, too!!) and then we meandered to the indoor bocce courts! We didn't stay long for this part, as husband had a long drive ahead of him - but they were nice. The place was beautiful, inside and out! So classy! :) It was a very memorable party. Very appropriate for such awesome people and a great couple to celebrate a bday together with their friends!

I threw my husband a birthday party. We had 19 people and chose the event court party option. For $300 all could play for two hours. Usually it's $12.50 per person per hour. We ordered appetizers and pizza. Our server was extremely professional and attentive. She provided quick and easy directions for us newbies to the game. The event organizer was friendly, efficient, and professional. All the guests enjoyed the food and had a great time. My only gripe was that we didn't get onto out court until 10 minutes after our start time. The party before lagged and then the tables weren't cleaned right away until I asked. When paying this much, this shouldn't be. Maybe they should allow a 10 minute cushion. At the same time, they didn't shove us off at our end time. So, that works. I liked the pizza, thin crust style. Desserts were the weakest part of the night. In a nutshell, solid fun and decent food for an event. read less I would suggest this place for a party since it gets everybody up and talking while playing an easy and fun game. It's easy to snack, drink, and play. It provides a great memory and that memory offsets the cost of hosting such an event. My 7 and 10 year old kids loved playing and were competitive with the adults. I would not bring toddlers. Bottom line, would book a party here again.

Good place, food pretty good but do not care for their red sauce which is a shame for an Italian restaurant. Pizza is good and chicken with saltimbocca also good. All of the salads are good. Bocce ball is a lot of fun and very easy to learn. Bring in Livermore wine and they have free corkage.

Celebrated my son's baptism here a little over a year ago. The staff was good and attentive. Everybody loved the food, the wine and of course, Bocce! Customer service is ok. Also, too bad when we booked, the interior Bocce lanes was already booked so our guests had to go outside to play. We felt "rushed" as our time slot was coming to an end. Overall, with the price that we paid for I would have expected something more.

This is just a fun place, period. It's hard to grasp how they can run such a HUGE restaurant and offer up such consistently good food. Bocce is fun too - indoors or out - a great game for the family and friends. Even little ones like to play. Lamb lollipops, pizzas, pastas, cioppino, other "traditional" Italian fare... My personal fave is the lamb pops. Cooked perfectly both times I've had them. This is not a 5-star restaurant by any means, but it's damn good enough to go back when we're visiting friends in the area. My daughter LOVES linguine w/ clams but it's not on the kid's menu so I requested they make a kid's size portion and the chefs went for it. VERY thankful for that!

My fiance and I stopped here for lunch during our visit to several wedding venues in the area. I forgot what I ordered, but it is baked eggplants with mushroom. I think it's pretty good and low calories ;-) My fiance' had lasagna, and he said it was okay. A lot of people came here to play bocco. It looked pretty fun.

Umm.. hello free birthday meal!!??? HECK YES! I love this place! -GREAT atmosphere (want dinner? hang out at the bar? Get your A-game on with Bocce??) -Great food! Appetizers, main dishes, desserts.. yes and yes -and FREE birthday meal!? it's amazing. I've been here a couple times, once for my birthday, a company party, and then with friends for a casual bocce game and it was great. Good service and in a beautiful part of Livermore around the vineyards :)

We had our rehearsal dinner here last weekend for my son's wedding. Firstly, Rebecca IS a rock star. From our first meeting, she was great. Really nice, on it and professional. Staff that worked that night! Kevin? Forget lead guys name but were great. Wonderful atmosphere, food was good. All had good time, Would thoroughly recommend. Not cheap but you get what you pay for,

Food is great, bocce is awesome... The service is subpar. We went there today for my brother's 17th birthday. Small party of 5... ordered appetizers and never saw our waiter again. He never came over to refill our drinks--- he could've had a much larger tab. Then we were seated and our waiter didn't even know the special. Food came out slow. Spent 2 hours eating, without any appetizers... simply just the entreé... so, not sure why it took so long to receive our food. Anyways, at this rate-- we won't be back. The service was not where it should be for the price we paid.

Ok we went because it was interesting g to check out. The bocce ball was exciting and the atmosphere was pleasant . Loud but very nice ambiance . Service was good at first but as the evening progressed and we were ready to leave it took forever to get the check and we were kind of " forgotten" . The food was not that good and we didn't finish our meals . My wife enjoyed the wine but her pasta was bland as was my calzone . The Calamari was very good . My Calzone was Burned and bland . Maybe an off night . We maybe back for bocce ball but problably not for the food .

I was here for a company team building event. They are a bit stingy about space. Even with a ton of empty tables and a group of 20 people, they crammed us into these 2 tiny courtside tables. The food was pretty good but pricey for the portions you get and slow to arrive. Otherwise, the staff were nice and the place was kept clean.

Came here for a corporate event and was slightly displeased with the service (they're really stingy on their space...even though there's nobody else there... -_-), but the appetizers and pizzas are good (though a bit expensive for the size?) and the indoor and outdoor courts are at expectations.

I wanted to like this place, really! There are so few places to go out to lunch near my workplace in Livermore, so I was really hoping that Campo di Bocce would become a good option. On paper, everything should have been great: easy parking, outdoor seating in a courtyard environment, wine... The actual experience was really disappointing though. We arrived around 12:30 on a Friday afternoon. At first we walked up to their "merchandise" counter, thinking it was the hostess station, but she told us to walk inside a little further to wait for the host at the host stand. He arrived 20 seconds later and accommodated our request to sit outside since it was a nice sunny day with just a hint of a breeze. The restaurant was mostly empty, but the outside was a little bit more busy with a party using the two outdoor Bocce ball courts. We were seated and our male server promptly brought menus and asked us what we wanted to drink. He brought water and some bread shortly thereafter. We put in our orders: three paninis with side salads, please! And then we wait...and waited...and waited. A different male server was kind enough to bring us another water and more bread as well as butter. About 20 minutes after we put our orders in, the original server came by and mumbled something about checking on our meals. He returned 5 minutes later to say that the food would be right out. Finally, 30 minutes after ordering, a female server brought us our food. At that point, we were just ready to jet. When the original male server came by again, we asked for the check and boxes because we couldn't make this such a long lunch! Overall, we probably waited about 35 minutes between ordering and getting three sandwiches. The food was okay, but a bit pricey considering the sandwiches aren't anything special. If anything, I would suggest the muffaletta sandwich as the best "bang for buck." One thing I will give them credit for, though, is that they're very willing to accommodate substitutions and special requests. I got my Chicken Saltimbocca panini with mozzarella instead of stinky provolone cheese. And they let me substitute a spinach salad instead of the fries, and also put the dressing on the side. The salad was decent, but be careful trying to dress it with the complimentary balsamic vinegar...that thing pours out at odd spurts. And the sandwich was pretty good, but I didn't eat most of it because I had filled up on the complimentary bread. I'm sure it will be tasty for lunch tomorrow. All in all, I'm not sure I'd be back if this is the kind of service I can look forward to and the prices are a bit high.

I came to play bocce for a corporate team building event. It was fun. I never knew I had such a talent for playing this game. My team won. Many of my bowls knocked a ball out or got close to the small metal ball. We had dinner which was good enough Italian cuisine. We had a dedicated team of staff for the private banquet. I did not have wine, I drank cocktails. There was no Hendricks. I know I will back for next years event.

Lots of courts, but reservations are a must! Free birthday meal??? Make sure it's the actual day of your birthday, and they will check your ID. We came in on the weekend, missing our friend's birthday by one day and they didn't give her a free anything. In fact, the staff, the entire staff, was downright snooty. And when we spoke to the manager about how unhelpful and rude her staff was, she was pretty rude herself. We left discouraged and without any urge to come back. The food and drinks are well made, but definitely over-priced. The courts are both indoor and outdoor, but make sure you have a reservation. There are some lengthy waits on weekends if you don't have one. AND make sure you stick to your reserved time. We had requested an additional 30 minutes that we were supposed to receive after having dinner. They pre-charged us for the time, and when it came time to get a court, there were none available for the rest of the evening. We did not get our money back. Would I come back here? Maybe with a group, because let's face it, bocce ball is a fun setting for a social activity. But I wish there were a better and more happily and helpful staffed place to experience this sport.

My friends and I are far from refined, but it's nice to pretend we are, sometimes! It was mighty kind of this establishment to let in such hooligans for their Cocktail Brunch! It's an awesome good deal!! $30 for a brunch buffet which includes bottomless adult beverages ;) The food was your standard brunch fare: *Pastries *Fruits *Salads *Eggs Benedict *Homestyle Potatoes *Bacon *Omelette Station *Waffles *Desserts *Prime Rib - thee best part! Service was fantastic! We never had an empty mimosa glass, thanks Josh! We came to celebrate my BFF's 30th Birthday and she had a great time. Campo Di Bocce offered up a complimentary game of Bocce. We all were new to the sport, but thought it to be like bowling and curling all at the same time. Very different and new. This a great venue to enjoy a good meal and have some outdoor Bocce Ball fun. It is also in the perfect location to spend a sunny afternoon. Across the street is Ruby Hill Winery, first stop for a day of wine tasting.

Set amidst the winery in Livermore. The drive to this place on HWY 84 is very scenic. We had a reservation at 7.30pm and staff were great in seating us on time. They have a full bar and a very spacious dinning area. The service was fast. They have a huge selection of wine including some good Livermore winery pick. The pasta dishes we ordered was disappointing. It could have been better. The calamari appetizer was very good and so was the pizza. Great place to visit to enjoy the ambience and also to catch up on a game of bocce ball.

The food was good. Excellent variety and good quality. I came for my birthday party and we booked a Bocci court after dinner. Dessert tasted prepackaged but it wasn't bad. Wine selection was good. Good place for dinner and some fun.

Let me just say, the food was good. Now, let's talk about the service. I felt like it was waiter training day when we were there. First of all, we were not really assigned a specific waiter. Busboys and servers came randomly to our table. They took our entree order after everyone had FINISHED their appetizers (what?) Then, dishes came out 2 or 3 at a time with servers who were very confused. Apparently our waiter (?) had written down our dishes in backwards order, which caused our servers to stare at the food and call out dish names repeatedly to our party of 16. Finally, after all of the entrees were out (the whole process took about 15 minutes) we ate. The food was very good. I had the chicken and brocollini. When it was time to go we asked for the check. I understand that we were a big party. They printed our check out wrong twice. Then, it took an entire hour for them to figure out the payments to charge the correct credit cards. I am more disappointed than angry, since this restaurant has very good food and a fun atmosphere. Just wish the service was a little up to par.

Was here for a company event they rented out the entire place. Learned (sorta) the game of Bocce Ball. Hardcore they have refs and everything, and the people are so nice at teaching you how to play. The company rented out the place so there was a buffet of food. The calamari and bruchetta as apetizers were yummy. There were many different flavors of pizza as well. The pizza here was different and I enjoyed it. It was thin and didn't taste greasy with a heaping amount of toppings. The salad taste like anywhere else, and there were 3 types of pasta for us to try... although I am unsure of the names. The pastas were common so when i'm coming back I'd probably order the pizza. For dessert I tried the conolis (it was my first time) and I am not sure if i liked it. I also tried the tiramisu which was pretty good. They also had some chocolate fudgy cake that I didn't get to a rasberry/strawberry looking bar type thing, and strawberry cheesecake. If i am looking for a game of bocce... I will definitely come back here

A good variety of food plus a nice presentation of the fruit and cheeses made this Sunday brunch a place to come back to. Chris or Christopher was our amazing waiter who made this experience five stars. He was knowledgeable about the food and the beverages and was totally on it when it came to getting our drinks and taking away empty plates. Professional and courteous staff, great food and a nice atmosphere.

This is a fun place and great for families and groups of friends. It is a popular place. There's pizza or fine dining and you can play bocce indoors or out. The bad thing about Campo Di Bocce is that it is a popular place. Reservations need to be made several weeks in advance for the bocce courts; especially on the weekends.

You have to try this place at least once. The food is decent. We had requested outside seating was celebrating a birthday. The clam was a good appetizer. I only had meatball sliders for my lunch and it was good. Nobody complained about their food, which is a good sign. I'm leaning towards a 3.5 stars I took some stars off because they completely forgot one entree and we all were halfway through our food and I had to go in to find the waitress to find out what happened. He was great and apologized. We will make sure to visit you again Campo di Bocce.

Really a fun restaurant for a dining event. The event this time? Our 40-year-old friend's birthday. Perfect location. The food's decent, the service, friendly, and the bocce the perfect game for friendly competition and fun. It can be a bit pricey with the meal, wine, and games, but I figure I'd spend that going out somewhere after dinner. Not many younger people here - I'm guessing the crowd starts off around 30 and goes higher. Some children were dining with their parents, but not too many. Really nice outdoor area that can be reserved for private events.

This is a unique great place to visit! I have been there for MANY different occasions & situations so I feel like I have a pretty good idea of how to rate this place :) 1. Night out with friends for drinks & Bocce (planned ahead 1 time & another not) Tips: Decide if you want an indoor or outdoor court ahead of time & call to book a court to ensure you get to enjoy a court. If you can, plan it for after 10:00pm & your Bocce is FREE...if not, it is $10.00 a person. There is a bar inside & outside. There are 2 fireplaces outside too that added to the already great ambiance. 2. Night out with family for dinner & Bocce Tips: This can get a bit pricey because the dinners are about $15 a person & then you have to pay $10 a person for Bocce. We suggest sharing a meal like a pizza & appetizer. 3. Lunch with husband Tips: Our favorites are the AMAZING anitpasto appetizer, the chicken saltimbocca sandwich & the linguine with clams! No drinks (water) with these dishes brings the tab to $40.00. The tri tip sandwich is great too! 4. Brunch with family for Father's Day Tips: Your basic fresh & delicious brunch food like shrimp, salmon, pastries, eggs, bacon, etc with an omlette bar for made to order omelettes & desserts include italian canolis & cakes! Seniors pay only $15 or $17 a person (sorry can't remember but I know my Father-in-law was SO happy about that) & all others pay around $25 which included mimosas or a few dollars cheaper without mimosas. 5. Wedding Rehearsal Dinner Tips: Not a large space to use for this on the side of the indoor courts so was a bit crowded but the food & Bocce made up for it all! We divided up the teams by seperating family & friends who didn't know each other so that by the next day at the wedding they all knew each other! Great bonding experience. 6. Work event with catered food & Bocce Tips: Great location booked for these types of events in the center of the courts. Food was abundant & great! Each time I go to Campo Di Bocce, I leave there throughly full & very happy that we had chose to go there! The food is GREAT, the location puts you next to a small vineyard & the Bocce Ball is a unique fun game to add to it all! Thanks Campo di Bocce for providing a great time each time!

Cool idea...bocce ball while eat and drink! Loved playing bocce after a meal with my family. The outdoor courts are fun! The meal was average and rather boring. You definitely go there for the unique atmosphere and to play bocce ball. Good place for families or a group date, party, etc.

Food is good, the bocce looks fun. The front greeters are hit or miss, if they aren't busy on their cell they may say hello, if you place a takeout order because you're coming home from work and hungry the take out will probably be; wrong, over charged, no bread, no or an insufficient number of utensils or correct but sitting on the counter even though you are clearly ready because the front is too busy trying to LOOK busy. I am truly disappointed, I kept going back because the food is great and my hopes are high but after the 7th visit I simply was fed up with amount of mistakes on my orders. Takeout is supposed to facilitate the process not make it stressful.

Visited with a party. The food was incredible and a good wine selection. I had the chicken parm - huge portion and cooked to perfection. I also like how the chicken parm was served with vegetables - it's the little things for me. The staff was friendly and attentive to our party's needs. The bocce courts were fun and added a nice compliment to an enjoyable evening. I was the best bocce player in our party so my impression of the restaurant might be overstated compared to my friends, who I absolutely dominated.

Came here for a birthday party. They have cool lanes for bocce ball even though I didn't play because I was wearing high heels (just drove straight there from work didn't know). They don't allow heels on the bocce ball mats. Great appetizers and service seemed nice. Our server was nice. Very spacious, new, nice, and clean. Our group was pretty loud and drunk (very different from the other groups of people that were actually there). Some uppity snoots kept staring at us from the dining area, probably because we were loud. Oh well, can't expect it to be quiet where there's activity going on! Hello Bocce Ball!!!

Went to a birthday celebration. Lots of fun. Food was good. Bocce courts well kept. Only negative is that they schedule several parties a day so they have to turn the table over precisely. No lingering. I would definitely go back and consider having a party there

Came here with about 10 girls midway through our wine tasting day so we needed food in our bellies. I order a burger and fries...I know so not Italian...but that's what my stomach wanted. The burger was good but the fries were soggy. We didn't have time to play bocce ball so maybe I can up the stars after that experience. Plus our waiter didn't get any of our orders mixed up and service was quick.

The food was delicious, the ambience great as well as the service. The only thing I didn't like was that, there was a few flies flying around our table. Would have given 5 stars w/o the flies. Do still recommend to come, enjoy the food, drinks and of course play some bocce ball :)

I recently held a birthday party here and worked with Natalie their event planner. She was extremely kind and was always prompt in answering my questions. We reserved the space a good 2 months out for a private dining room and bocce courts. On the night of the event, the staff was incredibly on point, and the food was very good. Many of our guests were first timers to Campo and really enjoyed the entire experience. I highly recommend Camp di Bocce for a fun celebration. Job well done team!

This is the best place to experience and enjoy great food, wine and a little game of Bocce! Especially if you have never played before! We had dinner before the game, but the order in how you prefer is entirely up to you. We got there and all the courts were full so we had dinner first. We were hungry anyway so that was a no brainer. The servers were friendly from the maitre 'd to our server to the girl giving the lesson to first time Bocce ballers like myself. Before the entree came freshly made bread! Yummmm! You can tell it was fresh because of the taste.. it still tasted a little of dough right out of the oven.. but it was fully baked.. still had a bounce to it.. warm, melt in your mouth goodness.. the table was equipped with a bottle of olive oil and balsamic vinegar, salt & pepper shaker.. all that's missing is you to enjoy it! What I love about this menu is you can choose your meal ala carte or they have a selection which includes your choice of salad, entree and dessert!! And get this.. the price??? $20.. out of this world.. shhhhh.. don't tell them they are gettin robbed.. lol! j/k.. they get you with drinks and appetizers.. so be careful! I had the arugula salad with balsamic dressing.. that was delicious and a bit bitter for those unfamiliar with that leaf! I enjoyed it alongside salmon carpaccio and fried calamari and it softened the bitterness of the arugula because of the buttery flavor of the salmon and the breading of the calamari. For my main entree, I had the lamb shanks. The meat was very tender and flavorful. The juices (au jus) the shank came along with had just the right balance of sweet and savory and was a great compliment to the polenta and string beans it was served with. Lastly, the dessert I ordered was tiramisu. It was like heaven only I was so stuffed come dessert that someone else ate the rest of my dessert. I paired my dinner with Wente's Cabernet Sauvingon. I don't remember the year but it was like drinking berries- on- a- warm- summery- evening- good! Ok so now that I've rambled on about dinner.. Bocce, anyone? and the big question is: is Bocce ball a sport? I say it is because if its on ESPN, its gotta be a sport, right? lol! anyway.. you test your control with this game.. its fun for the most part and I recommend it to anyone and everyone!! Did I mention they provide instructions for first timers? They even have leagues for those Bocce Pro's out there!!

Yummy cioppino and bread, great drinks, and fun bocce. Food not necessarily worth it. They are pricey though, and service is a bit slow. Fun experience, but I can just buy a bocce ball set and play bocce at the park down the street for free. Definitely worth a try though!

Came here last night with a group of friends and had a wonderful time playing Bocce. Thank goodness for outdoor heaters, it really keeps you warm. This is my first time here and thoroughly enjoyed playing Bocce. We had dinner reservations ate outdoors but some of our friends were not under roof and felt cold. We had a very attentive waiter the whole time. I ordered osso buco, presentation was nice and by the time they served the food it was on the cold side. I didn't want to make a big thing about by sending it back to be reheated...the meat was a bit on the tough side and needed more seasoning. Creamy polenta also needed seasoning. We later had dessert and coffee. I ordered Italian coffee with some liqueur. It too was okay. Perhaps next time I will have to choose wisely.

I've been here a handful of times- always for work functions. I prefer to dine here with a small lunch group than a catered (larger) group event. The lamb lollipop appetizers are divine. So tasty and the meat was well cooked which can be tricky when dealing with lamb. They have indoor and outdoor bocce ball lanes which is neat. I didn't think I would like playing but after the quick tutorial by a server it was actually easy and FUN. The complimentary bread basket was just OK- nothing spectacular. Entrees are reasonably priced for lunch. I don't know about dinner since I always come for lunch. If you plan to indulge in desert I strongly suggest the tiramisu. It has a delicate tastiest too sweet at all. I would definitely come here again. It is a bit out of the area for me but I will recommend anyone to dine here if in the area!!

Bocce Ball was so much fun! I personally prefer the outdoor bocce experience. As for dinner, I think the Chicken Parmesan is delicious and such a huge portion. I also love the fact that the corkage fee is waived if it's a Livermore Valley Winery. Super fun place and will be back!

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
