The first time I have this pizza, honestly these guys rock! their dough is handmade flavor you can taste, the toppings are fresh and generous. Angelo the guy who helped us explained us the ingredients and the sizes so good that we still got left overs to take home. (My family and I could eat this pizza all week long!) In general this place is great, kids friendly, plenty of parking, conveniently located in the Nob Hill shopping center and the staff is super attentive. We just found our new pizza weekend spot.

We ordered a large, 2-topping pizza plus spaghetti and meatballs. The pizza had hardly any toppings--literally 6 pieces each of Linguica Portuguese Sausage and Italian Sausage on top of a large pizza (talk about "where's the meat?!"), so it made it look even more sparse. The pizza was just "OK" tasting. The four meatballs in the spaghetti were tiny--about 1" in diameter--not the huge meatballs that was depicted on their menu above the counter. Again, the taste, like the pizza, was average at best. I make better spaghetti at home. Someone said that Bella Roma had better pizza than Melo's in Livermore--not even close. We were the only people in the restaurant when the owner came out during our meal and asked how the pizza was. I tried to be polite and told him that "there wasn't a lot of toppings". He didn't say a word, no explanation--he just turned around and walked away. I was also going to make a comment about the tiny meatballs but I realized that the owner was all about saving money by giving tiny portions of meat, so we finished our meal and left. Bella Roma could actually attract more customers by giving generous toppings, more meatballs, etc., than probably relying on the local high school kids (Bella Roma is close by the local high school) who just buy pizza by the slice.

I had a good feeling about this place. I'm not sure why, but I picked it somewhat at random, and asked for my buddy to confirm with my choice. When we arrived, it was amusing as navigation had taken us around the whole shopping center, and I had to drive halfway back across the shopping center. It's pretty much across from the Nob Hill grocery store. Going inside, it looked small but accessible. There wasn't someone at the register. I saw someone preparing a pizza and she yelled "sorry" and I didn't know what to think. We took a look at the menu board. There was no sign of the pizza slices we'd seen in photos on Yelp but there was an 8 inch pizza option, along with 12, 18, and 20 inch pizzas. I really didn't see everything because there was so much. It was a very long wait, but after another "sorry", she eventually got everything into the oven, and came forward. I ordered a Meat Lovers Pizza in an 8 inch and a combo of the same size, and she mentioned that it would be much less expensive to order slices. It was something like $8.99 for each 8 inch and it ended up being $5.00 each for each slices, so there was a big savings because of her suggestion. I asked for the restroom, and she told me that it was all the way to the back. It was clean. When I returned, I mentioned the surprise of seeing real pizza ovens, instead of those conveyor belt ovens that are so popular now. We had a quick chat as she was preparing food. As my buddy and I were watching a rugby match between England and Ireland, we passed the time, and other employees arrived. Thankfully, they were able to get food to the other people just after that. I mentioned that it reminded me of a place in Upper Darby, PA in the 69th Street shopping district and that brought back some good memories. It didn't take too much longer for our slices. They were likely bigger than 8 inch pizzas in surface area, based on slices from a 20 inch pizza. My first bite of the combo slice made me think that they needed to clean the oven better--part of the reason conveyor belt ovens are popular because pizza dust doesn't accumulate easily. The taste of the pizza was great. I think it's probably the best sit-down place I've been for pizza in all of California. My buddy enjoyed his and we talked about it quite a bit after we left the place. He even got his ranch sauce for dipping. I'm quite happy to find a place that isn't a chain restaurant or a fancy-schmancy place serving only whole wheat crust with cauliflower and broccoli pizza. I hope that every time I visit it's this good. Update 2015.04.16: I tried the lasagna today. For $9.99, you get a decent sized portion of lasagna with two pieces of crusty bread. With the drink, I was almost at $13.00, which is probably too much. Lasagna costs a lot to make. This portion had meat and cheese and noodles, of course. The gravy/sauce (Italian families back east say gravy) was not full of oregano and garlic. It was a plain sauce that seemed a bit too sweet. I like to make mine a little more like Arabbiata, you know, with peppers. However, if I make lasagna, I have enough for 6-10 people. It was better than Stouffer's and likely better than what Olive Garden is selling now. I wanted to love it, but I don't.

Best slices!! Always made fresh to order. The slices are huge and the guy is very nice with amazing customer service. This is one of my favorite lunch stops.

Absolutely outstanding. This is how pizza is supposed to be. Ultra thin crust. Perfect amount of sauce and toppings. I will definitely be coming back here. I think this is my new pizza place

=============== Knee Jerk Reaction Review: WTF! This place might have won the prize for the worst customer experience ever. Pizza took 1 hour and 35 minutes to get here. The dickhead owner was unapologetic and repeatedly referenced that I am a first time

I've been here maybe 2 or 3 times now, and weirdly enough I had never heard of it or even seen it until my friend mentioned it and brought me here to try it. He had high praise and it sounded like the kind of hidden gems that are only known by word-of-mouth. I had a simple Hawaiian slice, which wasn't bad at all, but all-in-all, I think Mountain Mikes is a bit better. It certainly wasn't bad though! I did enjoy my pizza. The drinks as I recall were a bit strange, since the fountain machine was hidden behind the counter and you had to have one of the staff refill it for you. Other than that, this place seems like a decent hang-out spot for people hankering for some pizza. I know it will probably be on my repertoire for 4th or 5th tries. :)

The other reviews for this place are wildly all over the place (and I know that people tend to write scathing reviews when they are upset), so we decided to just give this place a try. We will not be ordering a second time. The good: - The pizza delivery was in good time. They said 45 minutes and it was here in 30. - Tasted 'okay'. It wasn't the best pizza I have ever had by any means, but it was better than most franchise pizza places. The bad: - Price seemed reasonable until we got the pizza. We paid $53 for 2 large pizzas and garlic bread (see below). - The crust was thinner than a tortilla. Thin crust is fine, but this was on the ridiculous side. - The sauce is over seasoned. It overpowered the rest of the toppings for me, but it wasn't horrible, just over seasoned. - Toppings were definitely on the sparse side. For a Hawaiian, there was on average 3-4 pineapple chunks and 1-2 Canadian bacon half-pieces per slice. On the "Meat Lovers", there was a bit more toppings per slice compared to the Hawaiian, but still pretty sparse. All in all, I will not be ordering again. It wasn't horrible, but not good enough (or enough food) to justify the price.

My wife and I had a artichoke, mushroom and olives pizza. It was amazing and I could tell that was the best pizza I've never had. The guy ( seemed the owner) was super Friendly. I will make sure to be back every time I want pizza!

The WORST customer service I have EVER hadl I tried ordering online from mypizza, com. First of all, I was never told MY credit card would be handled by a 3rd party (BTW listed as a computer store online). Mypizza.com waits 45 minutes to call me back to tell me my order didn't go through (by no fault of my own BTW but through a "technical issue") but yet they charged my credit card 3 times, so much I get a call from my banks fraud dept. wanting to know if everything is ok with my card. Then I receive a call from Bella Roma and I was upfront and honest with them about my bank thinking something was wrong (and BTW by Bella Romas own admission, they experienced many problems with mypizza.com , yet they still use them!) Then the employee from Bella Roma states, I can't take that card, I don't want to take a chance on your card like I am a criminal Then he slams the phone down on me, so I call him back and he hangs up on me AGAIN! What kind of jackasses run this place? Hey, at least I know who NOT to order from next time I visit Livermore! Future customers beware, not worth the aggravation! Their loss, THEY lost the $100 order,

Fantastic pizza. Staff is super friendly. Got my food quickly. Highly recommend. The pizza slices are large and a variety of beer and other drinks too.

The owner has excellent customer service and is very friendly on the phone and in person. He always offers specials that are running regardless if you have a coupon or not. The pizza is thin crust NY style and tastes great.

This goes out to Bella Roma pizza in Livermore California, at 430 today I called Bella Roma to order a pizza the gentleman on the phone asked me what I would like so I told him I wanted a large pizza half with bell pepper and light cheese the other half I had to ask my son, so I asked the gentleman please hold on and I asked my son and he told me pepperoni... My son said wait a minute so I asked the gentleman to hold on my son then said he wanted pineapple so I told the gentleman please not pepperoni make it half pineapple he told me it would take about 35 minutes. When the pizza got here I paid the gentleman took the pizza inside and realized it was pepperoni and not pineapple, so I proceeded to call the gentleman back and tell him that the order was wrong I asked for pineapple, he said no you didn't you wanted pepperoni and I said no sir. I put you on hold and my son had changed his mind and wanted pineapple and he said no you're wrong I took this order and you wanted pepperoni, and I said you were wrong and he said no I'm not I said my son was in the car with me and we were talking to each other and he said how do i know your son was in the car so I then said so you're calling me a liar, so I said can I please speak to the manager and he said there was no manager here so I said so there's nothing you going to do about this and he said no so I hung up on him and told him that he has the worst customer service I have ever experienced in my 58 years, to be called a liar I did not appreciate. my son then decided he was going to go down and try to talk to the manager, the gentleman said can I help you and he said no I would really like to speak to the manager we ordered something and did not get what we wanted and I would like to speak to someone, my son didn't know but the owner was there on the phone and proceeded to say to my son hey man I'm on the phone can you please be quiet my son said I'm sorry but no I'd like to speak to somebody because this gentleman is calling me a liar and my mother a liar the owner then put the phone down came over to my son got in his face and started screaming at him get the f*** out of my store you harassing my customers I don't need this just get the f*** out my son then said is this how you treat customers telling them to get the F out of your store the gentleman got so close in my son's face my son thought he was going to hit him so the gentleman behind the counter came out and stood between them and started again telling my son to get the f*** out of the store I'm going to call the cops so my son said go ahead call the cops as he's backing out of the store will the owner proceeded to him follow him still cursing at him with foul language in front of people standing outside telling him to get the f*** out of his store get the f*** out of his sight and leave I want to know who treats people like this when you have a business, I will never ever recommend this place I will never ever go into this business again and I would like to report them to the Better Business Bureau for the way they treat people this is a wheel disgrace to be treated that way when I am paying so much money for their pizzas all he had to do was say I am sorry maybe there was a miscommunication what can I do to help you but to stand there and cursed at my son throw him out of the store and scream at him outside in public..MY ADVICE IS STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE..MY SON THOUGHT HE WAS GOING TO GET SHOT OR BEAT UP... There was no spot for a 0 star so it has one star but this has a negative star... Today is March 3rd 2015 and again in my 58 years I have never ever experienced such rude and strengthening customer service.... I am new to Livermore and will now have to find a new place for my pizza I will end up going back to Pleasant Hill to New York Pizza where the customer service is exceptional and puts this places pizza to shame... Iwill remain anonymous at this point

This place is absolutely DISGUSTING! This is the second time we've ordered from there. The first time food wasn't too bad. Tonight my family ordered a good portion of food! The mozzarella sticks were so burnt the cheese was hard. The toasted ravioli was also extremely burnt. The sub sandwiches were also burnt. And somehow we ended up getting a sub that we didn't order but paid for that was also burnt. The pizza was cold. When I called and asked to speak to a manager, I was told rather loudly. Don't tell me the pizzas cold. Bottom line, poor management, disgusting food.

I was recommended to this place by a friend, decided to try it out because I'm just a do'er. The pizza was so good I had to hit it twice. With a variety of choices I played it safe and got pepperoni. To my surprise the pizza was delicious! The sauce was on point with its great flavor. The owner Matteo recommend the house special and it has to be tried by everyone. So. Good.

This place is hands down the best pizza in livermore. Pizza by the slice is very reasonablely priced and a nice and hearty portion size. I've been coming here for over 6 years and I've never been let down. The owner is extremely nice and friendly to all of the customers. I would highly recommend the Alfredo chicken pizza. It's just the right amount of crispy and deliciously sprinkled with garlic. Any way you slice it Bella Romas is the best!

  • Jay L.

$10 for 2 slices and a soda is extra? I've been coming here for years, but this was my last time. When you raise prices and cut corners, you're going to lose a lot of business. Your pizza is great, but stop nickel and diming your customers.

  • Jacqueline G.

One of the best places ever. The food is great, especially the garlic bread, pizza, and pasta. The people that own the place and work there are so incredibly kind and friendly, it makes you feel great about spending your money there. It truly is, good food and good people. Oh and the ribs are amazing too.

Worst place I have ever tried to order from. I pledged to never use this place again since the last time they forgot my order. I have been waiting now for 2 solid hours and I called and they said it was on the way. Still not here my bad for going back to them. Thumbs down they suck.

The pizza here is amazing and the staff is so awesome. The owner has done a great job with training his staff and making top quality pizza. I go here at least twice a week and always get something different. Highly recommended the cannoli.

I always drove by this plazce but never to drop in. One day I had a lot of time and decided to just give it a taste. I walked in and the place had two fat TVs and the kitchen smelt good. This place is delicious. The house special is my favorite. They also have great wings with kickin sauce.

  • Carole S.

Weirdly, I had never really seen this place before today. Delicious, giant slices, and a very friendly owner made me an instant fan. Really surprising that I had not heard about Bella Roma before. They heated two custom-topped slices in just a few minutes, and both were really good, NY style pizza. I like mine a little on the light side, which I forgot to mention when I ordered, and the pizza was a bit more well-done than I like, but that is completely my fault. Otherwise, very tasty. I just discovered Big Apple Pizza, which I also gave a great review, but I think that Bella Roma's pizza was just as good. The only negative comment I have is that the woman making the pizza did come and collect money, and she didn't wash her hands before going back to kneading the dough. As good as the pizza was, that could be a deal breaker for me. I'm always embarrassed to bring stuff like that to the owner's attention, but it really bothers me...

  • Kay Y.

This is my favorite pizza place! The owner is always friendly and you get an amazing deal with their 1 slice pizza. It is always baked fresh and it just taste so much better than any other pizza.

  • Frances M.

This place is for when you are craving pizza but know you shouldn't be having it as leftovers. They sell by the slice & you definitely get a pretty good deal. You get two large slices which should be a little more than what you should eat in one sitting. But hey, you are eating pizza already. Go big or go home. Pepperoni pizza has the pepperoni under the cheese which is good for those who don't like the added crunch that placing the pepperoni on the outside results in. They are very nice & stayed open late to serve my friend & I.

So I was really impressed by this place. Was driving by and decided to get some Chinese good but they were closed, but settled for pizza. Man was I happy. They were so nice and since we were the only people there (Sunday at 4pm), then have us the remote control for the tv to just hang out :-) Pizza was tasty and fairly priced. Good place. I'll swing by here again if I'm in the area.

This place has REALLY good pizza. It's now my family's favorite. I've had great customer service and their pizza is always good. I don't even have to ask the family where they want their pizza from anymore, I already know!

  • Ryan R.

This place is awesome. Amazing customer service. Put an order in for pizza and robs and the owner warned me or might take 20 minutes. The owner brought out a free beer while I was waiting. I didn'teven ask. Coming here again. The owners are so friendly.

I have to say as good as it gets is relative. However, give Mateo the freedom to create and my goodness you get the BEST tasting food you can get from a non corporate pizza place. Everything there is really nice to have available in town so I would advise to patronize this place and keep this place around! Dont forget to let him make you one with feta cheese, artichoke, green/black olives, sausage and herbs...OMG (also some chopped tomatoes at the end!). You will never want to go anywhere else unless you had too!

  • Travis B.

Absolutely not. This place has really degraded over the years it has been open. The owner was previously full of life -- now he is rude and grumpy. The employees are gross, unclean, lazy, and apathetic ... They must be Dominos rejects. Did I mention there was a metal shard in my pizza? Check the photos to find out! Absolutely disgusting.

Great place will definitely come back, awesome calzone for a great price. The service is quick and friendly, the food is good, great even if you compare it to other places around but just good in itself. One big complaint in the bad reviews I've read is that it's dirty. It is not dirty I would not eat of the floor but the same goes for the kitchen in my own home. Nothing sticks or looks dirty and the chairs tabletops, utensils AND plates are spotless. Which is all I touch so that suits me fine. It is a place to have a quick bite it is not a restaurant. Do not expect linen tablecloths or a candlelight ambiance. For what it is, a place for a quick bite with good food. It deserves all the stars it can get. I think many of the negative reviews have an unrealistic expectation of what they will get.

New to town. Hunting for a go-to pizza joint. This won't be it. While it wasn't awful, it certainly wasn't wow. Won't be ordering pizza from there again. Have not tried anything else on the menu so can't comment further.

Have yet to try the pizza, but I've had the lasagna twice and the ravioli from here and it's THE BEST I've had in a while. Other restaurants don't compare with their lasagna. We got family sized trays for decent prices. Definitely a plus that the lasagna and ravioli were delivered, that they don't limit deliveries to pizza. (Ever had lasagna delivered to your house? It's awesome) Ok, I will stop raving about the lasagna :)

  • Doug B.

worst pizza & ravioli's I've ever had.... There must be a new ownership or management. I've lived here for 25 years, I've had this place numerous times but it has gone steadily down hill. Tonight was the worse. They delivered within the time frame but both pizza and raviolis were terrible on many levels. To start with the delivery guy didn't have parmesean or peppers & appeared to not know what they were when asked. The pizza was barely warm, soggy and limp, almost uncooked, yet the bottom of the pizza was burnt.. a very hard degree of inedible-ness to accomplish. The raviolis were similar. Actually they were clearly frozen so I'm pretty sure Mamma Bella's old family recipe consists of heating Costco bought ravioli's in a microwave & then grilling until they were blackened. I'm telling you this was the worst thing I've ever had delivered. To top it off I received a feigned ignorant & disrespectful response when I called to complain.... I will never go here again & will tell as many people as possible about the terrible food and service I received.

Went in for the first time today with my bf and the guys at the register were really nice and the single slice special was pretty cheap. Pizza came out fast and it was good but both my bf and I found some hair in our pizzas. I'll assume it was because they had a new employee working so he didn't really know what he was doing? Went in later that night and ordered two x-large pizzas and they were ready really fast and they were huge and tasty, definitely worth the price. Will come back again, just hope they get some hairnets.

If there was a zero star, I would give this place that! The owner is extremely rude to customers and he is a complete idiot! The pizza is mediocre, and if you let the owner know about a problem he yells at the customers on the phone and hangs up and cannot even shut up for a moment to hear the customers. I would NEVER go back to this dirty, disgusting place, with an IDIOT as an owner! I will be sure to share our experience with all of our friends and relatives! Too bad for this guy, this is a small town and everyone knows everyone else and I would be sure to discourage every single person I know from going to this place!

By far one of my favorite places for pizza and a great place for some Italian food. They don't offer a lot of different dishes but the ones they do are great. Everything taste fresh and most of it is and the customer service is great. Everyone I have interacted with working there has been polite, nice, and respectful. If you don't have much money but you want a filling meal, then this is where you want to be because $5.50 (+tax) can buy you a drink with free refills and a good sized slice of pizza which turns out to be a good filling meal. Personally besides the pizza I have also really enjoyed their raviolis, garlic bread, caesar salad, and tiramisu. Everything I have had their was good and I have no complaints. The dining area could be a little more roomier but it gives a nice mom and pop local small business feel so it's not bad. They deliver and their not to bad on timing. It's definitely not fast food but the wait isn't nothing I would complain about because good food takes more then 10 seconds to cook. Would definitely recommend this place for a nice dinner with yourself or with a special someone but wouldn't suggest bringing your Suburban full of family over to eat because there's only enough seating for about 15-20 people.

Love this place! We love coming for their by-the-slice lunch special. They have a nice inside seating area. The owner is a really nice guy too. You have to try their CANOLLI!! best dessert in town!

Since its not possible to give negative stars or even no stars, I'm forced to give one star. Ordered online. Was told 45-60 minutes wait. It was over 100 minutes, that's right almost 2 hours! We asked for status twice was told "5 more minutes" both times. asked for discount or some other compensation, was told forget it. the least they could have done was called to let us know how late it would be instead of outright lying about it. Driver kid was nice, pizza was hot. Oh, and they got the order WRONG! Will NEVER order from here again. Wanted to patronize a local business, but not this one. DO NOT ORDER HERE!

Had a very tasty pizza and Greek salad. Its just a small store front restaurant but my wife and I dined in. Had a really nice meal in a very casual place. Nice owner and staff. I would go there again next time we are in town. Pizza, nice salad and beers under $30. Well worth it!

I wasn't upset that I ate a crap load of calories by consuming this pizza but I definitely was not impressed. We ordered two pizzas and both were just ok. The crust was a bit cardboard-like and the cheese was not very tasty. The search continues for my go-to pizza place.

Yeah...not a great place for pizza. I have no idea how this place has more than 3 stars. crust is chewy, some parts look like its not cooked all the way. barely any sauce, tasted worse than little caesars. The toasted ravioli's were the only thing good about my order. Delivery is free. I bought this for lunch for a business meeting, everyone all agreed this was my worse recommendation to date.

My favorite lunch spot for when I used to work in the area.! Been coming here for years. You just can't beat the deal of two HUGE slices plus a soda for $5. Sometimes 4-something depending on the type of slice you get. I'll still sometimes drive over there when I have a good craving for their slices. Anyway, I'll start by first saying that the owner is WONDERFUL. Truly, he's so sweet, accommodating, welcoming, and always happy.! And I speak from experience, it's hard to be constantly happy when working food service. So major props to him. He always treats me like an old friend whenever I walk through his door, no matter how long it's been since my last visit. He remembers my orders (I switch it up regularly and he asks what I'll be having and lists my different orders). He's funny and always knows that I prefer "unleaded" fuel (Diet Coke) as my soda of choice. One time, I walked in shortly after 9:30, which was when they used to close. Even after what was surely a stressful day (this IS the food industry) he greeted me like always and said, "I turned off the ovens, but what can I get for you.?" I really wasn't expecting that..simply amazing customer service. He proceeded to take my order and continue with closing procedures, locking the doors etc, and let me get my pizza fix :) Even if the pizza was only just so-so, I would continue to come back just for the service. Which brings me to final point.. Pizza is NOT so-so, it's amazing.! Delicious every time, especially that first bite..so crispy and perfectly toasted..yum.! The pasta is also to die for and you get a very generous serving. Cannoli is good, wings are good, toasted ravioli is good..just eat there. Serious.

Best pizza I've ever had? Most definitely. This is definitely the best pizza I've had in a very long time. Perfect combination of flavors and textures. I don't know what pizzeria the people were talking about below, but trust me, this place is goooooooood. Plus, the guy at the front is so incredibly nice and welcoming. Customer service is top notch. Happy I came here, definitely will come back!

Let me tell you, when we are in the mood for good pizza we leave Livermore. Call us picky, but we know good pizza from bad or mediocre. Now this isn't to die for eats, but it's definitely the best deal in town. For the value, taste and service, it's a sure winner. For $3.50 you get a GINORMOUS slice (equal to 2 slices) of freshly made pizza (w/ any combo/toppings of your choice) and a soda. The slices have next to nothing in terms of grease and was quite satisfying for our family, who are not fans of thin crust pizza. If you are in the mood you can even substitute the soda for a beer for $1.50 more. The local high school kids are regulars and now I know why. Mateo, the owner, is very friendly and each time we have been in, we are provided with the best service. I personally have only sampled the pizza twice, but I have my list of things to try on future visits. This is one time that my kids were right! Way to go boys. We finally have a place to eat pizza in Livermore.

Delicious toppings on a relatively thin crust pizza. Not Italian thin, but pretty thin for an American pizza. Service is a little slow and did not check on us once the food was on the table. Generally one of the better tasting pizzas around town and centrally located.

I was sick of Pizza Hut & Dominos and didn't want to trek to the Safeway deli (which in our opinion is the best pizza in Livermore) so I decided to give Bella Roma's a try. Delivery was free and quick. The food arrived hot and was overall decent. It wasn't the most delicious pizza I've had but certainly not the worst. It was a bit pricy even after the coupon. In total I spent about $26 after tip & tax for 2 medium pizzas. Oh, and I agree with previous reviewers that the crust is very chewy (not crispy). This is not entirely a bad thing, just different. I was starving from having not eaten all day so anything tasted good to me. I might try them again on another day...

First time here. One employee was present. And even though she saw us she barely acknowledged us and went ahead and took a phone in order while we stood there. I could tell she was the cook by the flour that was crusted on her hands. She handled our money and then went on to cut up a rack of ribs. I'm not sure if there is a hand wash station besides the one in the middle of the kitchen in plain view, but if not...I just hope we live to see tomorrow because neither she or the employees that finally came in ever used that sink to wash up. There is however a phone charging while it sits on that sink.

Very disapointing. Ordered pizza online and I was there exactly when I said I would be. Pizza was cold so they obviously made it ahead of time. Picture on their website shows a great looking pizza loaded with melting cheese, The real pizza looks NOTHING like the website picture and very little cheese. It was probably the worst Pizza I have every had in Livermore. The staff were all shifty eyed and smug. Won't be going back ever.

I love this place. My friend and I have been here twice and Mateo, the owner, is so welcoming, nice, and generous! There's a flat screen tv in there and he'll let you have the remote and watch anything you want :) It's in the sNob Hill shopping center - directly across from sNob Hill. I wish it was in a different location so they can be exposed more. They do deliver tho! Check them out. Go down there first tho... don't go by the website alone. Oh and most importantly: great pizza (HUGE slices), awesome bbq wings, and yummy pasta!

  • Art C.

First, the pizza is good here. However, the last time I phoned in an order for pickup I got called back 5 and 15 minutes later saying that the coupon I had IN MY HAND did not exist. I went in to show them the coupon. They then started cooking the pizza 20 min after I ordered it and only after I proved to them the coupon was real. This is poor management. Additionally, the printed menu doesn't match the menu on the wall, prices and descriptions are different.

Real Pizza! This place isn't people pretending to be Italian making pizzas, They are real Italians making pizza. Making pizza real good too. Prices are affordable (Don't compare to Pizza Hut or Lil' Caesars because those Pizzas are garbage)

We moved to Livermore in October, and on moving day - before internet was set up - I looked in the phonebook to find a local pizzeria. I found Bella Roma, and have never had pizza from anywhere else in Livermore. It's SO good! And if you eat at the restaurant, you're likely to meet the owner, who is absolutely LOVELY, and gives great service. Never had anything but their pizzas and their fresh salads, but they're always the highest quality. It's a pretty small place - just 5 or 6 tables - but unfortunately, they're never very busy, so they can generally accommodate a group of 6 or so. I highly recommend Bella Roma!

  • Bob K.

Let's define NY style pizza for the masses. Thin crispy crust (NOT chewy), greasy, salty, tasty sauce, cheese is cooked a bit brown. This place is NOT NY pizza. I haven't found the real thing in the Bay Area yet. This was pretty gross. There was too much cheese, almost no sauce. Bleah. And overpriced bleah. That's it. Do you need more details than that?

  • Lisa C.

Based on the reviews, I wanted to give this place a try. We ordered the Chicken Alfredo Pizza and the Combo Supreme. We also ordered two side salads. The salads were large, and everything with them was fine. The pizza crust was really good. the topping were plentiful, but the pizzas were TOO salty. I love salt! I don't know if they sprinkle extra salt on or what, but even my teenage boys said it was too salty. Please ease up on the salt! It ruined the pizza. We had the pizzas delivered, they were hot and in less time then quoted. I would have given this place 4 stars if not for the salt.

  • Chet N.

Really delicious slices. Went there just to get a slice of cheese. The slice was huge, but not too thick, not too thin. A lot more flavor than you'd expect from a basic slice of cheese. Definitely on my list of "where to get a slice" places.

  • Jessica J.

If I could give it 6 stars, I would. Mateo is beyond awesome and they make the best pizza. I have a milk/lactose intolerance that is pretty severe. I told Mateo this and he made me a milk-less pizza. They don't use any milk in their crusts so he skipped the cheese and wallah! I ate my first pizza in over a year since finding out about my milk issue. He remembers us every time. I had my sister try out their pizza too and she was beyond impressed. HIGHLY recommend them. They are not the cheapest, but if you want quality REAL pizza check them out!

Been going here for a while now and I have all my friends getting addicted as well. The owner is a very friendly man and his food is amazing. they have the BEST lunch deal. the pizza itself is to die for. HUGE slices and the crust is crisp on the bottom and just chewy enough on top, his sauce is yummy and just the right amount of toppings. YUM!

  • Sarah W.

This place was great! The owner takes a lot of pride in his pizzas, and he should, because they are delicious. The crust is quite nice, sort of halfway between thin and thick crust. The sauce is really great; not too sweet or too acidic. I have tried about 6 varieties of the specialty pizzas and all were very tasty. Go for the margherita (I have never seen a pizza inhaled so fast as my students went after that one), quattro formaggio, meat lover's, or chicken pesto (although the others were also delicious). The store is kind of tucked away in a strip mall, but it was very clean and had a surprising amount of seating (able to hold 35 students & 6 instructors). I was also surprised at how reasonable the pizzas were ($22 for an XL!) and how cheap the beers were (a large selection under $2/bottle). If this place were closer I would eat here all the time, but it'll be a must-go anytime I'm in Livermore. On two days' notice, the owner was willing to stay open late so we could bring two large field trips of college students in around 10 or 10:30PM (so he was staying open late for a large group he'd never met before). The second night he had the pizzas ready so they were coming out of the oven when we arrived! He's a super nice guy and I hope his place does well (so we can come back next year!).

  • Avanti M.

This place is awesome! My class at UC Berkeley went here after our final field trip. The owner was so accommodating to our group and even stayed open late for us, because we knew we wouldn't be getting back from the field until pretty late. We arrived pretty late and he had 5-6 pizzas waiting for us! The owner was sooo nice and funny. I would definitely come back here if I was ever in the area again. Such a great, intimate family owned restaurant. The pizza was absolutely delicious. Thin crust pizza, great ingredients, awesome combinations. Try the Margharita pizza (Their' basil pesto is amazing!) The combination meats and veggie pizzas were awesome too.

Yummy! Best pizza in Livermore! First time I went for pick up, I didn't really care for the chick behind the register.... Pizza was good, price was even better for a single topping medium pizza ($9). I called in a pizza for delivery, large half and half with two ranches and delivery across town ($22) and it was yummmmmmmmmmmmay!!!! the man who delivered was really really nice....ohhh and it was delivered in less time than they quoted! Loving it!!!

Best Pizza in Livermore - and I ought to know - spent the first 46 years of my life in Chicago. Wish I had more time to be more descriptive - just try it - you won't be disappointed - none of that CA crap either - meat & cheese!

  • Josh B.

Great pizza with very fresh toppings at an awesome price. Definitely the best pizza I've had in Livermore and will be ordering from Bella Roma again soon! You can't beat the pick-up special: $8.99 for a one topping medium pizza or $11.99 for a large. The medium was the perfect amount of pizza for two people.

  • Jeff P.

Below average pizza. Crust was ok. Cheese was not good at all. Toppings were sparse and not flavorful.

    (2)
  • Adam G.

Best pizza in town! great tasting NY style pie. Friendly Owner who always makes sure you know that your buisness is apprecated. I go for the pick up special (med 1 topping $9.85 out the door) just think the less time there is between the pizza coming out of the oven and into your belly the better it taste, but they do deliver.

  • Kevin P.

Awesome pizza, excellent customer service. I already prefer to patronize the small local guy over a big chain - but you can't beat their Supreme pizza (especially w/ artichoke hearts added). Good-quality ingredients, decent crust (not exactly thin crust, but pretty close) with just the right amount of chewy center. Salads are really fresh, and have a good balance of basic ingredients. Their wings aren't epic, but good as an add-on. They also have a selection of pasta dishes and ribs. Delivery is generally pretty quick, and they're pretty honest with their time estimates. When you go in, it's really nice to be dealing with someone who cares about their business - the owner is really a great guy, who gets to know you after you've been in there a couple of times.

We love this place. Love the customer service, quick delivery. If you are out of coupons, they will give you a discount anyways (if you ask). Pizza is great. Not Zachary's, but great and also a great value.

  • Ken M.

I wasn't that impressed. I paid about $30 for two Large Pizzas. When I got them home, I soon discovered they gave me no sauce instead of extra sauce and the wrong toppings. Maybe there was just a miss communication. When I went back, they didn't seem happy that I wanted to exchange my pizzas for the correct ones. They insisted that I keep the old ones and they agreed to make me one correct pizza. When I got the pizza it still wasn't what I ordered. I probably won't go back.

  • L A.

We really liked this place: crust was thin and chewy. Toppings were just the right amount with discernable garlic somehwere in there, and absolutely not greasy. It had an east coast feel to it (I lived in New England for a while). Probably best thin crust pizza I've had in the bay area since before Vito's in Santa Clara went downhill. Prices were very reasonable. We'll definitely be back.

  • Brandy B.

This place is good! The guy who answered the phone was kinda grumpy until we advised that we were new to the area and trying new pizza delivery places! BOY did he change his tune! I might use that every time I call a new place. We got the best service and the pizza is actually REALLY good! We have been going to "The Pizza Guys" in Fremont and were overjoyed when we found out they had one in Livermore- but Bella Roma is actually better! I love the fact that you can order Lasagna, etc.. as well. They have a ton of stuff to choose from. ALSO... the BIG kicker- they deliver ice cream! Yes, Yes... it sounds silly to be so excited- but hey, when I want a pint of ice cream with my pizza, they will bring it to me. Awesome! He even brought over a menu with my pizza to show me everything they had to offer. Good Job!

Most likely my favorite pizza place of all time. Top notch flavorful slices, gracious owner, cheap, delicious - everything you could ask. There isn't much space, but most parlors are small anyway. Television usually has game shows, sports, news or Seinfeld on, and if you're the only person eating the owner will let you have the remote. Probably the best crust I've had, too. And huge artichoke hearts on the veggie slices! That in and of itself is worth five stars.

Bella Roma Pizzeria has been our favorite in town pizza for the last couple of years but they do not understand customer service and have lost us as their customers. We recently ordered 3 large pizzas and a couple salads. They gave us Hawaiian rather than the Pepperoni and forgot the dressing for the salads. We called and were told they would make it right. We gave the pizza to the neighbor kids. Unfortunately the owners idea of making right was $6 off my next order rather than replacing it as he should have. We said "No thanks". He was too stubborn and cheap to retain us as his customers.

We have been looking for a good mom and pop pizza place since we moved to Livermore 3 years ago. Based on a recommendation from a friend, we checked out Bella Roma and were VERY pleased. The pizza was thin crusted, freshly made, and for once, not covered with oil, just the way we like it. While we were eating, several regulars popped in and one even raved about the and cannolis. The owner was very kind and made pleasant conversation with my wife and kids. The prices were reasonable and comparable to most chains in Livermore. I am happy to say that we have FINALLY found our pizza place.

I tried Bella Roma and had a terrible experience all around. It took over an hour to get the delivery (I was quoted 45 minutes) and when I called to check on the status it took four calls before someone finally helped me. The food was average at best - greasy pizza, boring salad. You can find much better pizza and service elsewhere.

Tried this tonight for the first time and was very psyched to find really good, non-chain delivery pizza! I don't like paper thin pizza but also want more than just crust and this was the perfect solution. I was also pleasantly surprised to see more than just lettuce & croutons in my caesar salad (black olives, cucumber, peppers, cheese). It was delivered right on time and still hot. Definitely worth it!

Delicious thin, crispy crust pizza! My wife and I ordered to go and the owner gave us complimentary glasses of wine while we waited!

About Taco Bell

Taco Bell is a haven for Mexican delicacies such as tacos, quesadillas, burritos, nachos, and other specialty items. Owned by Yum! Brands, Inc. Taco Bell is one of the fastest growing American chains of fast food restaurants. The restaurant operates from 7,072 different locations which are mostly run by independent franchisees and licensees.

The background story of Taco Bell is interesting and inspiring for budding entrepreneurs. The fast-food brand is the brainchild of Glen Bell, who started his first food venture as a hot dog seller in San Bernardino, California. The year was 1948. After witnessing long queues outside a Mexican restaurant called Mitla Café across the street, Bell saw the opportunity and demand for hard-shelled Tacos. He reverse-engineered the recipe and later started selling Tacos and called the venture Taco-Tia.

Later, the name changed from Taco-Tia to El Taco. Eventually, Glen Bell sold the company to his partner and opened the first Taco Bell in Downey in 1962. By 1964, the restaurant also got its first franchise in Torrance. The 100th Taco Bell restaurant was opened by 1965. PepsiCo acquired Taco Bell from Glen Bell in 1978 and the restaurant brand is currently a subsidiary of Yum! Brands which looks after the restaurant business of PepsiCo.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again.
