How can you not like a place that makes homemade catsup? Yes, it's a bit pricey. But the hamburger is the best in town. And that's what I always get. I've tried the street tacos and salads, but really prefer the hamburger. Beer is ok. I prefer heavy chocolate coffee stouts. Theirs is a bit too light for me. Wait staff is normally nice. Have had a bit of an issue on busy nights. Also, if you come for lunch, they don't open until 12 and I believe only Thursday and Friday. If it's crowded, it's noisy.

WOW. What a pleasant surprise to stumble into this place on our way home during a VERY long drive. We shared their beer sampler. Food was fantastic. Not pretentious, but very interesting. Root beer cheesecake for dessert with POP ROCKS on top --- YES PLEASE! Our server Heather could not have been nicer. Her demeanor was so warm and friendly, and she even took some time to explain the local fair and all the "must sees". If you are in the area, please consider stopping here. This is a great restaurant, that is obviously run and staffed by people who know about hospitality and great pub food.

My boyfriend and I are in town visiting family and decided to stop here for dinner. Boyfriend got the lobster mac and I got the burger. His was insane! Probably one of the best Mac and cheese dishes I have ever tried. The burger was juicy and cooked to perfection. It's topped with beer mustard cheese which definitely gave it a little something extra. The whole meal, topped off with a craft brew and laid back atmosphere, was absolutely delicious! We will definitely be back when we are in town again!

Pricey but well worth it. Beer choices are great but what surprised me was the food!! I had a burger which was awesome and i love the location.

Nothing to write home about. Pulled pork sandwich was dry and not flavorful. The bun was way too thick. Fried pickles have too much breading and were too salty.

I like the vibe whenever I go. One Sunday night a band was playing good acoustic version of popular hip-hop. I liked that. The waitresses do get busy, so you must be proactive, if you want extra attention from them.

Best brewery in the AV. The Acidifie Sour Saison is the best sour beer I have tasted. The house burger is very good, always cooked the way you order and the house made potato chips and ketchup are delicious. The staff is friendly and is usually very informative about the beer they are serving. The Brewers Rob and Robert are usually hanging out while working and are happy to talk about the brewing process with customers. Kinetic Brewery has the best craft beer selection in the AV with a handful of house made craft beers as well as a good selection of guest draft beers. Burger specials every week...try a burger or the chicken adobo sandwich and a cold craft beer.

We had some problems with our waitress forgetting we were there. The food was good but not a great value for the price.

One star for not sticking to their posted hours. We had planned our very rare date night on being able to get food here after wine tasting across the street. Upon arrival we were informed that they closed the kitchen early due to "unreliable help". With nothing else local serving food we had thrown all of our cards into one basket and trusted this local icon to live up to their reputation. Sadly, they did not.

I'm convinced they must have a different cook. The food was radically different from my prior experiences. I ordered the chicken adobo sandwich and the open faced veggie burger. The grilled chicken sandwich was charred, blackened and inedible. The veggie burger was served on polenta and was more like eating veggie meatloaf. It had no flavor and the veggie burger was pasty and once again inedible. It took over 30 minutes to get this mediocre meal. Maybe I'll come back in another year when they change cooks again. Over $30 for this lunch and then I had to get lunch somewhere else because I couldn't eat any of what I was served. The amber beer was good, hence the two and not one stars.

Kinetic Brewing is definitely one of the best spots I have found in Lancaster. This place has combined several great aspects to provide you a great experience. First and foremost, they have great food that's pretty well priced. We ordered the burgers, cottage pie, and awesome appetizers like the putine and pretzels. A good cottage pie takes a long time to make, and these guys have it down. The meat tastes great and the potatoes are crispy on top and soft underneath! Plus, you gotta love any place that has putine (fries covered in gravy and cheese.... AWESOME!) Second, their beer is really good. The Imperial Red is strong yet not bitter. The pale ale is smooth and exactly what you would expect from a good pale. Kinetic also brings in guest beers. However, last time I was there, all the guest beers were barley wines. I found that a little weird since I don't really drink that. So my choices were a little limited. Other great aspects of this place include a great atmosphere. It's always a little busy, but never crazy full. Perfect place to bring a date. They also have live music on the weekend nights that just adds to the experience. So come on down and check it out. I think you'll really enjoy it

I really wanted to like this place, unfortunately it didn't make the cut. I had their veggie burger and to be quite honest I'm not sure what the hell they used as a bun. It didn't look like a regular burger. The patty fell apart before I even took a bite, it tasted bland. We also ordered onion rings, those were very bland. The bottle of wine we got was very good, some of the best wine I've had. My boyfriend's chicken sandwich was good from what he claimed. Service was good, no complaints there. Just really disappointed in this place, the food was overpriced for the quality.

Cool little digs on the boulevard .. I frequent family often and I always encourage trying new places .. This bar happened to be one .. The prices are great, the beer I had was phenomenal, basil exposition (and I'm not much of a beer fan), the food was good .. Tried the Mac and cheese, burger, hotdog, and other items and I can't remember.. But what they lacked in was service .. Took forever to take our order and even when that was done it took forever to receive certain items .. Maybe they were too busy at that hour. I'll probably give it another go and hope for the best next time I'm in town :)

I heard there was a Beer and cheese tasting tonight at Kinetic brewing, I must admit I never thought beer went with cheese but it was fun.

Great time having new people from out of state and friends of ours seeing what a real pub is all about! Great job folks! Great job!!!

This is a a refuge on Lancaster BLVD. They are serious about their brews and I can especially recommend their double IPA (Afterburner) and session IPA (Torque). Many a growler has been purchased and smuggled home to our cabin after a stop in before a move at the BLVD cinema or after dinner at Lemon Leaf Cafe. Last Friday we stopped in here to enjoy a couple drinks (I tried their barley wine which was smooth and sweet) and there was live Jazz coming out of a shop a few doors down. We walked down to take a listen and were unfortunately catching only the tail end of a 1 hour show, but dropped some dollars in the pot anyway. The BLVD is really getting quite artsy and fun! And Kinetic is one of the gems in the crown. Their food has always been pretty good gastro-pub fare. Their burger is the best you're going to find on the BLVD (my last one was served on a toasted brioche bun). Their fried pickles, french fries and hot dog are also super tasty (if not a LITTLE overpriced - but I know the vendors they work with are picky about natural/organic, so that pretty much explains it for me). Definitely do yourself a favor and stop in here for a drink at the huge cement bar, or grab a table with your family. Oh and don't feel bad about bringing the kids too - the locals are apparently unaware of/don't care about the old 'baby in a bar' rule. It's usually so loud in there no amount of screaming children could cause much of an issue anyway. Anti-breeder rant done.

Best 13.00 burger I ever had, nice spot to go chill and play games with friends, they need real kataup tho.

We came in to an initially poor experience. Told there was open seating, then somewhat rudely told the open seating was reserved. Then seated and waited 10 minutes to not be noticed to get drunk orders. Then Heather came in to our lives. With a bright smile. We weren't even in her section, but she saw we weren't being helped and took the initiative and turned the whole night around to a very pleasant night. About the food. The spicy tuna was so good. The fries with their house made sauces are second to none. Try the Korean ketchup. And the sryracha ranch. The onion rings are a bit on the greasy side. But still good. Stick with the house chips with your meal. All in all, a great experience. Thank you Heather for your expert recommendations, room brightening smile, and non invasive attentiveness.

Great brews! Nice selection. Good food. Outstanding pretzels. Nice folks work there.

Service was nearly nonexistent. We walked in about 3:30 pm on a weekend afternoon and there were just a handful of patrons. No one greeted us or checked on us for perhaps five minutes though there were about seven employees. The beer selection is pretty large, but they are up on a blackboard in blue print, nearly impossible to read. Our server didn't seem in the mood to explain or make recommendations. The food was tasty tho the pretzel was half the size as pictured. Maybe going at a busy time will generate better attitudes, but it is around the block from the police station, so not sure that it's a good idea to go when the cops are probably camping out.

Okay, so I've been here a few times already, but last time was really the best. I went last saturday for date night with my husband, and we got the Flight Sampler of beer. On saturdays they have a live local band, which is awesome, but the real reason for the update is that we had the best waitress, she was fast and she had the best attitude. The last few times we've been in, we always get a waitress who gives openly judgy faces and can never be found. But this lady knew what she was doing, she was just the best, and it really helped with over all experience.

Come to Kinetic for Ok service, great dishes, and mediocre beers. The employees gotta know you personally to greet you with a smile. The watered down beers lack taste. I have no complaints about the food.

Kinetic always has great beers on tap and an awesome atmosphere! Make sure to check out their seasonals and also their weekly burger creations. Very delicious, and always a great time. Keep it up!

Meaty Mondays ! Different specialty burgers every Monday. The food and the beer and wine are always spot on. Can't go wrong here. Staff is friendly and service is quick. Always happy here. Burgers, tacos and the scotch eggs are to die for ! Try the whole menu you won't be disappointed. Trying the witches cauldron right now can't wait. And of course with a glass of cab wine (bogle) good brand. So after a long day of rubs im looking forward to this tasty burger and chasing it with some booze of course.

horrible place and service...went in with my wife, sat down and waited over 10 minutes for service and nothing while others around were getting serviced. we just got up and walked out and drove to Bravery instead.....fuck this place, save yourself the headahe and go to Bravery Brewery, way better service.

5 star for the venue... reminded breweries of my beloved denver...plus wine from Chevez winery from Rosamond. Really like this spot and it was a pleasant surprise for downtown Lancaster.

This is the best food in the entire A.V. This is not up for dispute. Mac n chz bomb! Scotch eggs, wow. I have been waiting to have poutine for some time now. It's not your norm on menus south of Canada. It was mouth-gasmic. The duck confit, to die for. Debating on posting this cuz if to many people go there u can never get a seat. Lol

Lowering my rating to 1. Had a birthday party there and will never go back again for food. Meals were under and over cooked and missing items. Used to love the food but as stated before, will not be going back or giving out good vibes to others.

I was really excited when I head that the AV got a brewery, so when I came back home to visit I had to try it. The first time I came on a weekend at night and the wait was 2 hours so I obviously didn't stay. I came again on a Saturday, lunch time. The beer selection was standard. Nothing fabulous, or comparable with others I've been to. But for a smaller microbrewery, and especially in the AV it's adequate. I hope that they improve but I am still happy to have a craft beer selection in my hometown.

Every experience is different really didn't get acknowledged by a waiter for 15 minutes it wasn't busy and everyone just kept walking by, back door was open with super cold air blowing on us and the food. The waiter we ended up getting was nice and the food was ok it would not been great if I wasn't of throwing it up all night so there is that, don't know exactly what caused it but I've had an upset stomach from their food before but never like that so probably won't be going back between that and the overall service just don't see the point. Make of it what you will Lemon Leaf Cafe down the blvd is a million times better in service and food.

Never would I ever have imagined that I'd drive from Anaheim to Lancaster for beer. LANCASTER! But, after having some of Kinetic's offerings at Provisions in the Orange Circle we had to learn more about this mystery brewery that's slowly making its rounds to SoCal. And that's what led us to Lancaster. Upon walking in it was cool to see all the gear shifts and things on the walls. I felt like the owners are probably gearheads with a passion for good beer. We sat at the bar and were immediately helped by the bartender. She was friendly, helpful, and put together our flight so that we could try a little of everything. I was definitely impressed by the Blonde and that's saying a lot because I normally don't like Blondes . They tend to be too light and lacking in flavor. Kinetic's is definitely in my top 10. All around, their beers are good and you can tell this is a great spot for locals. I don't know when I'll get back out to Lancaster, but here's to hoping they start bottling soon.

I did like the beer. House burger was ok. But swastikas hanging in the back was a little unsettling. Walked in with 3 black friends and immediately felt "watched" then we say next to the swastikas and found out why

  • Chris S.

Not really a fan of the beer, but the food was pretty great. The beer, of course, depends on what you're looking for. I found it to mainly be darkish flavors, but none of it did anything for me. I like less-bitter, sweeter darks, and I just didn't find any of those here. The lobster mac and cheese is something truly special - some of the best I've had anywhere, and it somehow defeats the amazing, dedicated-to-mac-and-cheese Homeroom in Oakland. The burger, which is raved about, is indeed tasty, but I don't think it's as special as the other Yelpers do. The fries, though, become excellent due to the garlic aioli. Their garlic aioli is pure love. The ranch...tastes like it probably isn't made there, but it's palatable. Or, order the fries as poutine, another delicious option. I would totally come back here, but ironically, I'd do it for the food...and go somewhere else before or after for beer.

I love sitting on the Patio. Atmosphere makes you forget you're in East Lancaster. I went on a Friday once and they had live music playing which was great. The food is interesting and different. Nothing I've tasted that's amazing, but fun to order to experiment. Same with the beers. One of my go-to places out here if I decide to go out. Every server I've had there does an awesome job and they help each other out when it gets busy, so you're always taken care of

  • Kara K.

It's still probably one of the better places in Lancaster, however their service seems to be on the decline. This is the third time my boyfriend and I have eaten here as we and it will likely be our last. They would only get my return business if they improve their cooks. Both my boyfriend and I ordered the house burger and mine came out cold and his was raw in the center. They only have a moderate beer selection and no full bar. Overall you'll spend more than you want for sub standard food. Save your money and eat at another burger place.

First time going here. It's busy but not packed. They were fast at getting my drink order but we had to walk to the bar and find different seats to get our food order taken! They appear to be understaffed. Even when we got our order taken, it was from a waitress who happened to be behind the bar.....after we flagged her down, not the bartender, who was busy talking to other customers about how hectic her weekend was! We ordered the French Poutine, which sounded great on the menu description, but the waitress said they were out of French fries! !!! You've got to be kidding me........who runs out of french fries? I'm from way out of town, here with a friend. Restaurants have one chance to make an impression on a customer and this impression was not good! The bartender just told us that she was looking forward to getting off of work. Let me tell you......I'm looking forward to her getting off work as well. If I'm ever back in town, I'll give them another shot but 2 stars on this visit. We got the Curry wurst with frites..... it should be called frites with curry wurst. A very small portion of knockwurst with a portion of onion rings......since they were out of fries!!!! Oh......I almost forgot.....I wanted to try the Potential Blonde beer. The bartender told us that it tasted strange right now and she didn't recommend it!!! I don't recommend this place .....for now.

Strong beer with an excellent burger! The fries are good and it's so fun to pick which house made dipping sauces to choose! I will say that I wasn't a fan of the shepherd pie or whatever it's called, but it just wasn't for my taste, other people in my group tried it and loved it. If it's your first time, try the beer sampler, it's a fun way to try everything! Also they'll let you have a taste of a beer that you're unsure about.

  • Kenny C.

Good beer. Good fries! Fries and plethora of dipping sauces might actually be better than the beer! Reasonable prices and good service. The AV needed a place like this.

We went here for Mothers day today. It was almost empty, barely any people and it still took 45 minutes to get our food. There were 5 of us and 2 of us could not even get past the first bite of our meal. I ordered the chicken mini tacos and the chicken was so dry that even dousing it in a sause still made me choke. Two others in our party tried it and ended up downing half of thier drink. Not to mention I recieved my drink in a glass that was cracked all the way down amd had sharp edges where the glass broke off. My dad had to flag down someone to pay for our meal after waiting 15 more minutes after asking for our check. Won't ever go there again.

Great Layout, Best guest beer list in the Valley (better than most "pubs" in Southern California, trust me) and They make Award winning beers! Stop by for a bite and a brew.

The first time I went and the last time I will go!! Service was bad, they had nothing that we wanted on the menu, they took forever to bring us what we really didn't want to order. We will never eat here again.

Yet another new offering on The Blvd, so just had to try out this place. Some hits and some misses, but I would give it another try if someone were to suggest it in the future. We tried the: Scotch egg: At a cost of $7 for literally 2 hard boiled eggs sliced in half, this was a joke. I think the sausage that was supposed to surround the eggs was forgotten because the only thing that flaked off was breadcrumbs. If this has been the only dish we tried, I would've been pissed and walked out. Onion rings: This is such a bargain for only $6. Yummy beer batter and fried to crispy perfection. There was plenty to share amongst 3 of us. I would come back just for these. House Burger: $12. Topped with caramelized onions and bacon. Standard burger, cooked well. Cottage Pie: $12. Delivered piping hot, but bland as can be. Mashed potatoes were creamy and the meat stew underneath was hearty, but the dish overall was lacking any trace of salt and pepper. I ate 2 bites and packed the rest to-go. Later on for dinner at home, I doused the whole thing with salt, pepper, and a variety of other seasonings from my spice cabinet. Pulled pork sandwich: $12. By far, the best entree out of the 3 we ordered. Generous, flavorful pork, and still had plenty of leftovers for dinner. Root beer: Brewed in-house. So good! $3 and comes with one free refill. As for the atmosphere, laid back and comfy. A bit dark with very little lighting, and there is only 1 TV. Otherwise, friendly service with individualized attention.

Great looking establishment, extremely poor service. Before entering asked the gentlemen setting up I he was open he clearly stated he was, upon entering we were greeted by another man in an orange shirt who looked at us and asked a waitress if she wanted him to "just close the doors" we sat down at the bar and the gentleman in the orange shirt returned to tell us that they did not open for another 10min, although there were already patrons clearly sitting at the bar with full mugs poured. The waitress who told the man in the orange shirt to close the doors came back around to tell us that they didn't open for "5 more min" needless to say I did not feel welcomed as soon as we started to leave the waitress said we could wait the 5min and she'd be back to take our order. Didn't even get a chance to try anything such bad customer service, really disappointed.

We had a last minute girls nite out today and decided to check out this place! We loved it!! It wasn't a busy night so service was pretty fast.. Our server was great and super patient! The food was delish! We had the Pub Salad, Kettle Chips, Adobo Chicken Salad and the most delicious Sweet Potatoes fries! The kettle chips were not greasy at all and loved the crunch! The sandwich was flavorful! We tried there original sin hard apple cider brew and loved it as well! Thank you for making our first experience awesome especially by making the sweet potatoes fries although not on the menu for the day!!

The Antelope Valley's Publick House! This place is EXACTLY what you want in a brewpub. They make great beer, and serve up tasty, satisfying, fattening food to go with it. My wife and I are frequent eaters here; we probably indulge once a month and I usually meet a friend here for pints once a month on top of that. My favorite house brew is the Fusion Ale, their take on a malty, sweet ale in the manner of Guinness. My wife likes the White Thai, which is a lighter white ale with some exotic spices and a hint of orange flavor. But it's hard to go wrong with almost anything they brew. Some beers are served in pints and others in ten-ounce "tulips" that look like big brandy snifters. That's in part because the beers served in tulips tend to be strong in alcohol content. Get what you like -- they'll pour you another one! If you don't know quite what you want, get a sampler -- six two-ounce mini-beers. The bartender will happily suggest a tasting order. Doing that is a good lesson that unlike wines, the lightness or depth of taste in a beer does not necessarily correspond to its color and transparency. If you have the apple cider, you may want to consider getting a shot of berry juice in there, which changes up the flavor somewhat. Too sweet for my taste, but my wife likes it that way from time to time. Locals should invest in a growler. They give you instructions for the care and feeding of the growlers, and you can take the beer home to enjoy later. Now, you don't really get a discount on the beer in the growler -- you pay the same for the contents of the growler as you would for four pints -- but it's still better beer than you're likely to get at the store. And when you do open up the growler, it's best to finish the whole thing. That turns out not to be so onerous a burden. The food is indulgent and delicious. I love the Belgian fries -- they are crisp on the outside, moist and sweet in the inside, steaming hot, and served with a trio of house sauces which are all delicious. I like the cajun mayo especially well with the fries. The burger is to die for, although I am personally not a big fan of the mustard cheese that comes with it so if that doesn't sound good to you ask for a switch on the cheese. Scotch eggs are a special treat, and the pulled pork and chicken adobo sandwiches are particularly good too. My wife has fallen in love with the lobster mac and cheese and the fried pickles. I've fallen in love with the house-made potato chips dressed with truffle oil and Parmesan cheese. Sometimes I switch up my entree to the cottage pie. On Fridays they have fish and chips (off the menu) which are really good: the fish is always moist and creamy. Or if you want something a little lighter, try the ploughman's platter, which is a selection of cheeses, cold cuts, and fresh fruits or berries, and this comes in large and small versions depending on your appetite. Dessert selection is somewhat limited, but you aren't here for dessert. You're there for beer and pub food, and Kinetic excels at these. My only complaint is that many of the good beers sell out quickly, so be sure to ask what's really on tap when you arrive because it may be different from the menu. If the problem is that the beer is so good they get sold out, well, that's a pretty good problem for a brewpub to have.

The only down side about this place is that its TOO good of a place to be located in Lancaster! LOL Their beer is ahhh-mazing. Servers are so nice I feel like im at Disneyland. First time going, I sat on the roomy patio and was immediately noticed by a server. They are on top of their game here and take customer service seriously. They also serve beer at the local Jethawk Stadium as well which is a SUPER BONUS. The stadiums booth sells piss beer (coors, budlight, typical domestics) for 5 bucks... Yikes right.. Kinetic's booth sells delicious brews (IPA'S stouts, and this amazing thai beer) for just a buck more ($6) in what seems to be an extra 2 ounces than the stadium domestics. Not to mention that the guy serving the beer was the most friendly guy I think I've ever met. Like the type of guy who would have the whole city at his funeral.. okay awkward... anywayssssss... if you want great beer for your buck go here.... This place is the bomb diggity. =D Jamie

Not sure how this place gets the following it does. Consistently poor service and food can be great but rarely consistent. The beers they have (pretty much the same 4-5) are good but not great. Hoping for some change but this place has been hit and miss since opening. Honestly, if it weren't for location and low expectations from the community, this lackluster pub would have closed its doors years ago. Tip to the investors/owners; quality and consistency are a must in today's saturated markets. If you want to be a mediocre cafe competing against none, vacate the spot for a serious contender and give the community a truly unique and quality establishment. Let down in Lancaster.....

Try the ploughman's platter. They serve an amazing beer cheese by Red Dragon. I can't get enough. I've also tried the chicken adobo sandwich and it was delish. The beer is good, award winning even. The service is slow, otherwise I would give this place a 5.

Pretty awesome microbrewery. My husband and I love to make small impromptu dates and grab a beer and a little something to eat now and then and Kinetic is our favorite place to go. Their house beers are awesome and their food is super tasty. Try their handmade bavarian pretzel or their delicious beer battered onion rings.

Support your local brewpub! Kinetic has excellent beer and pretty good food. The staff is knowledgeable and helpful, and we always have a good time visiting Kinetic. Extra star awarded for their presence at the Lancaster Jethawks park down the street--great beer while watching minor league baseball. Thanks, Kinetic!

This is my favorite stop in the Antelope Valley - it's almost too good to believe it exists in a place not known for its willingness to support edgy ventures. But a local brewery with quirky, flavorful meals is a winner in my book! In days of old, "The Boulevard" was the place that kids used to cruise on Friday and Saturday nights. Back in those days, we'd hit a taco joint called Naugles on Avenue I and consider the evening a great success. Now, under a new mayor with big ambitions, the entire boulevard is undergoing renovations that make it more like Melrose Avenue in Hollywood than anything resembling the staid, aerospace-driven conservatism of the 60s, 70s and 80s. Kinetic makes a terrific destination after a show at the new arthouse theater across the way or when you're wandering up and down the street venturing into zany new shops. Personally, I can't imagine not sampling a new beer each time we go. There's constant turnover on the beverage side, so if you consider yourself the type who likes consistency and "safe" choices -- Kinetic may not be to your liking. I've found it incredibly helpful to look lost and ask the friendly, outgoing staff for help. "What's the best dark you'd recommend?" Or "Got any new reds or bold pales that grab your attention?" seem to do the trick. Honestly -- truly -- I have yet to be disappointed. On my last trip, our waiter Craig won our hearts by discreetly serving up a doggie bowl of water to a parched pooch out on the sidewalk. That day was scorching -- well into the 100s - and it was inspiring to see him go out of his way to ensure the dog was as refreshed as we were. On the food side, he recommended trying the veggie burger, a homemade concoction comprised of black beans and leftover grains from the beer-making process. This sounded so intriguing, we had to go for it! Let me assure you, that is the BEST veggie burger I've ever had! So robust and flavorful, not the dull cardboard I usually have to settle for as a vegetarian. Another great favorite is the homemade pretzel with Bavarian mustard. OMG - if you enjoy a soft pretzel at a ballpark you will absolutely love this. Just be sure and ask for a low/no salt option. Otherwise it will come as a "heart attack" version and be drowned out by the taste of the sea. As for cost, in-house brews are usually $6 and locals a buck more. i talked to the brewer and he told me that all the beers come from as close as possible, usually no farther away than San Diego or Santa Barbara. The emphasis here is on quality and freshness. What more can you ask than that? Our veggie burger cost $10 and came with potato crisps. There are loads of bar foods like the pretzel that range between 5-10 and most main-menu offering are 10-15 dollars. A note for the casual drinker: these beers are bold. My sweetie and I shared one fusion dark and we both got a buzz from it; so much so that I waited a good half hour after the meal before I even thought about driving. Please take this into consideration when ordering to prevent unforeseen circumstances. Otherwise, buck up and prepare for adventure, me hearties - yo ho.

TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!! Been here 30+ times and always had good food but sketchy service. But tonight ended us ever going back to Kinetics!!! The Hostess was terrible... Told us 15-20 mins wait while there were 6 open tables... Although a little disturbed waited our 15 minutes until other 4 top walk-ins were seated immediately. After complaining to the Hostess and asking for the Manager, the hostess lied to the Manager and told her she told us 30-45 minutes. And then said she was just coming to get us to seat us. We called her a liar in front of the Manager and the hostess threw up her hands and said "I'm going home". I asked the Manager if she'd like to seat us at the table where the Hostess was coming to get us for or if she'd like us to leave??? She said she preferred us to leave. SHOCKED!!! We will never be back. You have lost a loyal customer and likely all of our friends!!! We went to Lemon Leaf were we told EVERYONE that would listen our story and had a WONDERFUL meal!! Thank you Maria Elena!!!!

The one and only thing wrong with Kinetic Brewing is that it is too far away from my house. Some of the best IPA made in the state and by far, the very best burger in the west can be found there ; cross my heart.

Had a double IPA and their Monday special hamburger & fries. Well...... Nothing special. Beer had heavy orange flavor, too much! Burger bun was like McDonalds bun- pretty bad. They should think about new buns and lightly grill them. Nice size burger is all I can say good about it. If any one is ever in the Tehachapi area they should go to PDubs in Stallion Springs for a much better example of a hamburger! So many people say that this is the best burger they ever has , guess they have not had anything but Jack-in-the Box huh? The service was fair. I Just will not go back and spend $50 for me and honey to have burgers!!!!

The veggie burger is simply to die for (be sure to add chipotle swiss cheese to it). Overall, Kinetic is a great brewery with a thoughtful beer selection and relaxed vibe. The curry ketchup and garlic aoli dipping sauces paired with their plump homemade fries is going to be a weekend staple for me and my hubby. Yummo!

Great micro brewery! Beer is fantastic, food is also amazing, burgers are one of the best I've ever had! Sauces also amazing! Service leaves a bit to be desired... As long as you don't have time constraints it's a great place to connect!

My favorite restaurant in the AV. Excellent beer and one of the best burgers I've ever eaten, I particularly like the brioche bun. The taster flight comes out on a very cool platter. The fries are disappointing, but the onion rings are great. Been here five or more times and never had bad service. I would give them 4.5 stars if that were possible.

I really wanted to like this place however the female server was not nice or helpful. It was like playing twenty questions. She would not offer any information about the menu whatsoever. We had to drag the information out of her. She should have tipped us. They offer beers that are not on the menu which made ordering a little difficult. Had the server been half-way pleasant this wouldn't have been a big deal but playing twenty questions about the menu with a sourpuss is not my idea of a good time. (Yea I said it). The food is decent. But I have to admit its hard to get past the nasty disposition of a person who clearly doesn't like their job. It just made the entire experience a disappointment. There are lots of mediocre places in the AV and I'd stick with them before I'd try Kinetic because the service makes it, "Antelope Valley ordinary".

My parents live in Palmdale and during thanksgiving week I stayed there for a few days. During this time I had a friend visit me there but did not feel like driving to the Valley or beyond so I thought I checked this place out for a drink and bite since I have gone to Bjs and Yardhouse in Palmdale more than enough times already. The location and overall character of the place is really nice. Situated on Lancaster Blvd it is easy to find and there is plenty of parking. Place has a really cool industrial decor and has plenty of seating. I had a couple of house brews and they were both pretty good so Kudos on that to them. The pretzel was also tasty and the cheese sauce it came with had a really nice kick to it. The biggest issue I had with this place was the AWFUL service and LACK OF PROFESSIONALISM from some of the employees there!! I cannot believe I saw one of their servers (female brunette) sit and have a drink with a table while she was on the job and was waiting on tables! The busboy was wearing no apron or uniform and was dressed in an ordinary plaid flannel and was so lazy that he had to sit down to clear and clean tables!! It took close to 25 minutes of my friend and I waiting in our table to get someone to come and help us. Not to mention the the fact that no one greeted us upon arrival and I had to ask an employee regarding getting a table. Completely unacceptable and will not come back to this establishment. If you are one of those peeps who lives in the Palmdale/Lancaster bubble then this is the place for you when you are tired of Yardhouse/Bjs in Palmdale.

Fried pickles are awesome. We've had them elsewhere and it's unusual to start a review talking about just pickles, but wow. House burger. We ordered medium rare which is dicey. Most often than not, that means well done to ensure the meat is cooked or we get a patty still mooing because its raw, not red. Perfect. Warm and light pink, but cooked. It's the only way to eat a burger. Kinetic IPA was good. It says West Coast style and it is. The restaurant is huge and there is plenty of seating. If you're like us, there is only one seat. The bar. Never have to wait to get your beer refilled. Great find. Thank you Yelp.

Food is excellent. Beers are good. Not quite as good as bravery but the food really makes uo for it. Wish they had alittle more room simce it does get very packed but overall a awesome brewery!

Alright so let me start off telling you that this is an amazing brewery. The beer is top notch. Maybe even the best I've had in years. You could look at the color of their beer and tell it was made with care and love and the menu looks great. All their food looks great. Its presented very well and most of their menu items aren't half bad. But earlier today I tasted their portobello burger which is well described in every way on the menu. But when you bite into it it tastes like a pizza drenched in vinegar. I went to taste the salad and that too was covered in vinegar. Its as if they never heard of the word balance. Don't get me wrong I'm a huge vinegar fan and love it on a lot of dishes but there's such a thing as over kill and their portobello burger dish proves it.

Disneyland for Husbands. I have now learned what a "growler" is because one has a permanent home in my fridge. I am not a beer drinker, but I am big on root beer and design and Kinetic aces both. I love the decor and theme of the place, and my root beer was great (so was the food). Great place to relax on a lazy afternoon :)

Went with softball team after a game, apparently this is the place to go for indulging in beer. Cool atmosphere, but not my cup of tea. I love beer but I'm not into the fancy pants type. The wait staff weren't that impressive either, but the food was ok.

Great place, great food, and the beer can't be beat!!! I personally don't drink beer but, I love that they have cider on tap. Love to see that a Lancaster brewery is doing great!!

We came in to Kinetic after a disastrous dinner at Pour D'Vino. We were greeted by a very friendly bartender. We ordered a couple of their in-house craft beers and appetizers. I am a veteran 25-year chef from South Carolina where fried pickles are a staple. The fried pickles at Kinetic are THE BEST I have ever had. My friend ordered the salmon cake special. I hate salmon, but after tasting her order, I could eat my weight in those salmon cakes. I really hope they put that dish on the regular menu! The service was fast and friendly, the beers were amazing, and the food was rockin' awesome!! Run...don't walk...run to Kinetic Brewing Company for your next meal out!

I can't rave enough about this place. Lets set aside that they brew 7 or 8 of their own amazing beers (Fusion porter and White Thai witbeir rule!) the food is worth the trip alone. If you are reading this, stop what you are doing, and go straight in and order the bread pudding. "eww, I don't like bread pudding!" you might say, well, you sir, are wrong. This is not some gross Home town Buffet gelatinous nightmare, this is heaven on a plate. HEAVEN! and that's just dessert, for appetizers and meals they have gourmet dishes that are like an orgasm in your mouth. The atmosphere is a type of industrial/steampunk. Great for friends or they have a private room good for small parties or meetings. OH OH OH, almost forgot, they also make their own rootbeer. Here's your take away...craft beer, bread pudding, mouth orgasm. Now go.

Wow! What a great meal we had. We were here for dinner Saturday night and were not disappointed. Great decor, artwork and music selection. Husband had the beer sampler and was pleasantly surprised by the White Thai beer, usually Whit bier is not his style but the crazy curry style flavor made his night. I had a big pint of Original Sin cider, crisp and tasty. We mowed down on the Ploughman's Plate and Poutine to start. Tasty fries with gravy and now my new fav. The cheeses were blue, white cheddar and a mustard seed flecked delight that paired well with the meats and house made pickles. Next we had a mini taco trio and the smoked lobster mac and cheese. Amazing food! Well paired to go with great beer. Too bad it's soooo far from home.

Good drinks and good food. I went with my wife and her younger brother for dinner on a whim and we were not disappointed! My brother in-law and I had burgers and my wife had the lobster macaroni and cheese. It was great, the beers were cold as tasty and even the root beer was soooo good! My wife had a cider and it was really tasty. I would recommend this to anyone who likes beer. I can't wait to go back and try the house pale ale and amber ale.

When the service is horrific aaaaaaall 3 times I've been to a place, you're out!! This is the case for me and this place. I don't care how good your beer is, or the food. Bad service is a turn-off. It's a shame, too, because I don't know of another place in the AV that offers Scottish eggs. I wouldn't recommend this establishment to any of my friends with good conscience. NEVER will I step foot in Pathetic Brewing Co again. The service suuuuuucks!!!!!

Excellent beer! I had the Propulsion IPA and it was great! My friend tried the amber, porter and an ale and said they were all great. The food is really good too. The onion rings are to die for and the burgers and pulled pork were tasty! The blackened fish tacos were good. The space is pretty cool too.

Excellent beer. Excellent (and filling) food. Great service. I'm not a "bar" person, but I could probably hang out here a few nights a week without getting bored of the flavors abound. I've loved every Kinetic beer I've tried and Fusion is probably my favorite. So happy this is on The Blvd. One of the best spots for dinner and drinks.

Go for the Porter and their Stout. They also have a lot more selections of other craft brews now. They have gameboards for the fidgety and growlers for the thristy. Their poutine makes my stomach happy, and their burgers... oh man their burgers are good. Keep up the good work Sven!

When Kinetic first opened I would have given 5 stars, but because the last several times I've been here its been so hit or miss I'm only giving 3. The house burger is probably the best burger I've ever had (I get it with cheddar, rather than the mustard cheese it comes with) but it must depend on the cook that's there working. Sometimes it's juicy and delicious, others it's burnt and dry. My biggest complaint though would be the inconsistency with menu items availablity. Whenever I order the pretzels or fried pickles, I ask for the dill sauce (their closest thing to ranch dressing) and it seems like they are almost always out of that and/or the cheese that comes with the pretzels. I also preferred the pretzels they used to have, they used to use spent grain and they had a delicious beery, yeasty flavor, now they are pretty lack luster average soft pretzels. I will say though, the desserts have been AMAZING every time I've gone. The bread pudding is epic. Dessert is the only thing that's stayed consistent the last few years they've been open. Service is usually extremely slow, too.

Great Brew House! I have been a Home Brewer for 23 years, and been to many brew pubs...Kinetic is the Best!...great beers. The menu is a little eclectic. I had the Lobster Mac and Cheese! It is to die for! I also was able to get a one-on-one tour of the Brew Lab...very cool system. I was comforted to learn that a couple of the techniques I have been doing for years, that the pros do as well...great brews!

Shockingly good! Unfortunately they were a little short staffed when we arrived, but this was more than balanced out by everyone bending over backwards to assist us! Food was great, and the beers were also good! A gem in the AV!

I have been anticipating the opening of this place for a year now. Already impressed with the facelift of Lancaster Blvd, I was absolutely thrilled to hear about a brewery opening up in the Antelope Valley. Came to visit this past week and saw that it was open. A few friends and I made a stop and it was everything I dreamed of and better. The atmosphere is casual, mellow and hip. Dimly lit, fantastically designed and very intimate space. There is an outdoor seating area and smoking was permitted (at the time) at one side of the area. There is a wide selection of beers on tap on the menu and a decently sized food menu. When I saw the list of beers labeled as being brewed in Lancaster, CA, I was a very proud patron. Being a beer man, I was ready to test run as many hometown brewed beers as I could. Completely biased, but the beers were excellent. If you aren't a complete snob and can respect the art of brewing, you will love these beers. Test Flight IPA was delicious. We ordered a couple rounds of fried pickles and fries. The fried pickles were beer battered and very hot upon arrival. The fries were thick-cut and fresh. Both came with dipping sauces: some type of special aioli, a spicy sauce and ketchup. I will definitely be back. I suggest checking out the patio on a warm summer night.

The fact that brewery effort has been put into the Antelope Valley gives this place an EXTRA half star. solid 3.5. If you think AV, then you think restaurant chains. There is nothing unique here with the expection of a handful of places such as this. Came over on a lazy sunday. They treated us right. Beer and food was decent. Service was great. Hopefully lancaster blvd will build up more and bring this place's status up with it. Lots of potential which I hope this place fulfills. Would have been three stars if this was in LA proper.

This is the spot!!!! Their beer is EXCELLENT!!! The customer service is very good. Make sure you get Crystal. The brewer (Steve) is very friendly. He'll stop and explain anything you want to know. As much as I like the beer I find myself equally enjoying their food. You can't find anything like it in town. Where else can you find a rich Lobster Mac n' Cheese? Their House Burger is the best in town hands down. Since they opened this has been mine, and my friends go to hang out. Support these guys!!!!!

This establishment missed a fab opportunity to make a good impression on a large group of influential people last night but fell short of the mark. All of our meal orders were taken at the same time, however, it was well over an hour before the first of the orders was brought to the table and more than two hours passed before THE most important party of the evening was served. Too bad, KBC, this is one customer who won't be coming back. The beer? Not impressed with one of the house brews either. The meal? Lobster Mac n' Cheese...not worth the wait. Very disappointing.

Been here 10 or more times this year. Worst service I've had so far. I'm ashamed cause I got a little buzzed and tipped better than was deserved. I like their beers but service is real hit or miss. Even bar service was slow, 10 min.

Went here yesterday for lunch and some good local brews. We are home brewers so we wanted to check out Kinetic while in town for a soccer tournament. The place is in a cool little old town type area in Lancaster, easy to park and not too many folks in the place when we got there at 4:00 pm. I really wanted to try the house beers which were very good, they also had some other great California beers on tap. We sat at the bar and there was only one other couple seated at the other end, which the bartender seemed very interested in, us not so much. It was all we could do to get his attention to even order a beer. Anyway, we finally did get our drinks and they were very good! Mine was a Rusty Gear amber ale, my wife had a White Thai, a nice Belgian Wit. After a while we ordered some food which was OK but way over priced in IMO, burger for me, street tacos for her. We were never offered any condiments so we just had to go with what we had. As far as ambiance goes the place was a bit spartan for me, no real character to the place but not bad either, just kind of blah... Overall a good place to go for great beers, the food is OK, the service and staff seemed pretty disinterested at best. I know this place has only been open for 5 months but some attention to customer service could go a long way! How do the owners not know this?? Or maybe I'm too picky..

The hubster and reward ourselves after errand running by visiting whatever the local brewery is. When I read "international pub fare," I was admittedly skeptical. Being Irish and Mexican, I am picky in this regard. The hubster enjoyed the regular beers, I now have to drink gluten free. Thinking the same paltry gfree selection would exist, I almost didn't even ask. I was rewarded with a Brunehaut amber (from the bottle), which is made in Belgium and tastes like real beer! We were also able to reconstruct our favorite style of eating "frite" (Belgian fries) with the special sauces they carried. (Their curried ketchup was the best mixture I've had in the States). Also, great selection of pub fare from tacos to shepard's pie and beyond...and decent gfree eating selections as well! I will definitely return on my next errand run. Casie is tops. :)

Went here last night with my husband and we were pleasantly surprised by this brewery/gastropub. The ambience was cool, casual, unpretentious...a definite departure from the LA scene we're used to. I love that their beers on tap were exclusively California breweries. We tried three of their house brews: the potential blonde, mclernon's and the rusted gear. The Mclernon's brew was an irish stout and was definitely my favorite of the night. My husband also ordered the 395 double IPA that tasted like Christmas! We also enjoyed their food, ordered: fried pickles, hamburger with chips and the vegetable pie...delish! tab came out to $40!...not bad for 4 beers, 2 entrees, and an appetizer. Will definitely be back :) An absolute gem for the antelope valley:)

I ate here last night (it was my second time) and wasn't totally impressed with the food. I ordered the fried pickles appetizer which were crunchy and good although I didn't care for the lemon aioli. For the main course, I had the blackened fish tacos. The fish was cooked perfectly but the jalapeño sauce on top was super spicy. I normally like spicy stuff but this was over the top. My eyes were watering and my nose was running. You couldn't taste the fish, all you could taste was the jalapeños. For dessert, I ordered the Irish car bomb cake. The cake had good flavor but was a little on the dry side. I was glad I had water to wash it down. I gave this restaurant 3 stars. It would have been lower if it wasn't for the exceptional wait staff. They were friendly, attentive and brought out our meal in a timely fashion.

A real contender for the California Gastropub/Craft Beer scene. This place is so laid back and cool looking I was totally taken off guard. Beer geeks: this ain't no hipster joint, you're going to be in heaven! The brewer obviously takes great pride in his beer and the chef seems equally passionate about his food. Both were seen walking the restaurant and stopped to talk to people and answer questions. Very impressive, but more so because we're in LANCASTER! Awesome. Quite a small menu, but everything on it is seasonal, apparently, and changes throughout the year. I like that idea a lot and enjoy eating (and drinking beer) through the seasons as the weather changes. This place "gets" it - craft beer at its best. A couple other reviews focus on the service being slow, but what I saw looked like simple ramp up time for a new business. Don't be she about catching your server's eye in a new place. This place is going to put Lancaster on the map. Get behind it, locals, it's your hometown brewery! I, for one, am so glad it's here. Oh... and one more thing: Growlers!

If you like beer, than this is the place for you, as I've heard their house brews are pretty good. However, if you're like me and don't drink much you probably won't be frequenting this place. They have a limited menu, which reinforces the fact that they're really just there to sell beer. I'm not complaining, but if you're not drinking this isn't the place for you unless you're going with a big group of people.

I've only been here once, but the 1 experience was a good one for me. They have a good selection of beers, and everyone that ordered food that night loved what they ordered. I ordered the burger, and let me tell you that I'm a huge fan of burgers, especially gourmet style burgers, and Kinetic has an excellent burger! If you're a fan of a gourmet burger and a good beer, then I suggest you go check this place out. I was completely satisfied with my experience that night

Gear Up and Beer Up! Certain cities bring to mind must visit locations: Paris has the Eiffel Tower, Baker has the World's Largest Thermometer, New York has the Statue of Liberty, and now Lancaster has Kinetic Brewing Company! Kinetic Brewing Company is a beautiful oasis of beer and food in the desert that is the Antelope Valley. My multiple visits to Kinetic Brewing Company have left me happily inebriated and delightfully satisfied by their beer and food. When you first enter this establishment, you are submerged into a place which feels like a factory full of machines and gears which are creating beer and food for your enjoyment. The visible stainless steel kegs not only add to the ambiance but also stimulate the salivary glands which can only be quenched with the immediate consumption of BEER! Beer is the "wheelhouse" in Kinetic Brewing Company's factory. Their expertise in brewing and creating exquisite beers is evident once you have a sample of any of their microbrews. I personally have fallen in love with the 'Gear Up' microbrew. If California would legalize male and beer marriages, the "Gear Up" beer would be by bride. But don't forget the food! After some public display of affection to your beer of choice try the food which will not disappoint. The menu is very simple and straight forward. In my opinion, the shining stars of the menu are The House Burger and The Blvd. Dog. The House Burger is beautifully made and tastes just as good as it looks. My favorite part about the burger is the bun! These buns beat out anything the Kardashians can flaunt and they also have taste. The 12 inch The Blvd. Dog is also a must try. With the caramelized onions and peppers, it almost looks like a Philly Cheese steak. Add bacon, a Nathan's All Beef Frank, Bavarian Mustard, Bavarian Bun and this is by far the best 12 inches you can put in your mouth. Hey... pull your mind out of the gutter. So next time you are the Antelope Valley stop by Kinetic Brewing Company, Gear Up, and experience this Lancaster treasure for yourself.

The tacos are pretty good and offer a taste of several different ethnic flavors. The frites are pretty good, but the oil temperature was a bit too low the night we ate there. I prefer a little crisper outside with a creamy inside. The Fusion Porter is my favorite out of all the beers I sampled.... chocolate and coffee notes and very easy to drink. The brewmaster stopped by our table to discuss his creations. I like this place a lot. They have Green Flash imperial IPA which is good if you want to finish off your taste buds for the night.

Love this place and cannot recommend it enough. I've been here three times, all of which we have had great service, and the beer is excellent- I try something new each time, and out of the 5 or 6 different ones I'd had, none have been a disappointment. The atmosphere is nice. Its casual and laid back, not loud, and overall its a friendly place to be. We've only sampled a few of the snack foods, but those have been tasty too. We'll definitely be going back in the future to try more excellent craft beers and maybe finally try a burger or the poutine.

I have been here several times and find it fun to hang out here with friends and try different beers/snacks. Actually I'm not a beer drinker, but all my friends have found their own particular beer here they really enjoy and seem to also enjoy trying the new brews that pop up from week to week. As far as the food goes (and I am verrry into food).. the best stuff I have had here is the smaller, more 'snacky' type plates. I could probably eat the poutine every week. The oxtail puts it over the top. Onion rings, chorizo tots, scotch eggs - also delicious. As far as meals I have had the tacos (which I enjoyed, but I really don't know if the plate came together as a full dish) and the hot dog (which was fine, but it was still just a gigantic hot dog with a couple toppings - and the bread was not the right choice for the dog; the meat and bun just didn't work together). I have been here with friends that have had the cottage pie, fish and chips, and burger, and they seemed to like their food. I have been a victim here of not-so-great service, but I think as they get a bit more experienced they will be able to manage tables better and ensure adequate staffing. Although if I could give them a tip I would say they would greatly benefit from a host. I have seen customers walk out because there is no one to greet them at the door, even after waiting several minutes. All in all though it seems like they are really trying. I have found them on fb, and the chef posts often looking for customer feedback. It is obvious he is still tweaking the menu and really trying to make the people happy. One last thing I enjoyed - the board games- available for anyone to play with while they're waiting for their food!

This great local place has the best burgers I've ever had. The inside is what you would expect for a place that oozes beer and good food - an industrious and sporty environment perfect to hang out and enjoy some delicious ale with friends while viewing the latest sports watch. As one who enjoys sweetly flavored beverages and food, I was actually surprised that I enjoyed the 395 Ale which is flavored with sage and juniper. It is very earthy and one that I find quite delicious. I would describe it as having Christmas in a glass! The Hard Cider is a treat. It's hard to believe that there's alcohol in it. If you like burgers, sports and beer, this is a fabulous place to hang out.

Went here last weekend to try out some breweries while I was visiting family in the area. Overall, it was a decent experience. We all ordered the flight of beer tasters. Every beer was good, just not mind blowing. We didn't really feel that they were trying to experiment much, just have a good set of quality beers. Being that I've tasted many beers like the ones they have brewed, it wasn't a new experience for me and that left me kinda wanting more. We also ordered a meat and cheese board, which was a good choice for stuff to nibble on when sampling all the beers. The food was again good, just not amazing. Anyhow, the service was quick and helpful. The prices seemed fair for what we ordered. I probably wouldn't go back here considering I don't live in the area and it wasn't an exceptional experience. However, if I was a local I ma hit this place up every now and then because it was for the most part a solid experience.

Kinetic Brewing just opened a few weeks ago and has a great selection of great ales (beer) for the drinking crowd with everything from lighter ales to the darkest you want. The selection they have is a growing list that takes up a full page to list, so I know you will find something you like and the ability to try some until you do. The food is mostly stuff you cannot get anywhere else in the area from the appetizers to the meals. Everything is made from scratch from the salad dressing, dipping sauces to the main courses. The first time I went was for a birthday party of 15 or so and it made it so my wife and I could try most of the menu and swap plates with the other guests. We went back for lunch yesterday and they had beer battered fish and chips for a daily special that was awesome. I was impressed enough with the ales and food that I made reservations to have my birthday party there in a few weeks. Give them a try, you won't regret it.

I had the opportunity to attend the soft opening of this new brewery and restaurant earlier this week. First off, It's great to see beer being made locally in Lancaster. Although at the time I stopped by, they only had one locally made brew (a hefeweizen), I understand that they will be having more in the coming weeks. In regards to the food, I was excited to see some of their menu items including Scotch Egg, Chorizo Tator Tots, Vietnamese tacos, Oxtail Poutine, etc... Luckily we had a big group so we were able to order a couple of different things to try them out. Scotch egg was delicious and definitely worth trying if you haven't had one before. They tasted straight out of an old English pub. I would definitely recommend having the Korean tacos. Very tender beef and the cucumber always adds an interesting twist. They serving includes three small tacos which won't fill you up so you may want to order an appetizer with it. The place has a cool steampunk inspired design so lots of exposed metal. They have a small outdoor dinning area out in front which will be a great place to be during the cool summer nights. Unfortunately, they only serve beer and wine at this time. However, I understand from talking to the owner, that long term they may be changing expanding it into a full bar. I was able to try some of the craft beers on tap that were primarily from Santa Barbara. I didn't catch the brewery they were from but I would go with the Tripel if you like higher abv beers. Going to try it out again in a couple weeks once the beers are fully stocked so that I can rate their beer selection (that's why only 4 stars at this time)

Not a big menu but a good one. They have a wider selection of beers than of entrees, which, honestly, I am OK with. I don't like sorting through multiple pages debating my options for dinner. I had the local IPA, solid, unfiltered, but not overly hoppy, and the carnitas tacos. The pico and the corn tortillas that accompanied the three said tacos were good, but the pork could have used a little more flavor. My meal was not particularly bland, but definitely approaching. The burger and chicken sandwich that I saw looked very good, though, and I look forward to returning and trying those. What makes the brewery nice is its downtown location and patio option, though the dining room is pretty cool looking as well.

Beer: good. Food: lame. Much too expensive for lack of quality in the food. We ordered the frites (nothing overtly wrong, just not my fave, spent grain pretzel (dry and flavorless), Korean BBQ tacos so salty I couldn't taste any of the characteristic Korean BBQ flavor, and dinner salad with bacon and egg (small and boring). I think the menu items had good potential but ultimately fell flat in execution. I think the salads could be dressed up in creativity a bit to warrant their prices. And anything made with spent grain, such a gimmick, if they're brewing right the flavors should end up in the beer, not in the leftover grain....don't bother. And sorry guys, you'll not win me by ambience, the way to this girls heart is through the food (and beer). The only thing that keeps this place in two stars for me is the beer selection. Pretty good for California.

What is up with the owner??? Why does he always look so grumpy??? I don't know about you but I like to feel welcome, this man walks around the bar with a crabby face and never greets those of us that pay his bills!!

Well, I had walked past the brewery a few times always thinking that I wanted to try this place out someday, the place looked nice, people seemed friendly, and the food sounded good. Finally my boyfriend and I decided this st. Patrick's day that we should give it a shot. The place was crowded as we expected. We weren't sure if we should seat ourselves or wait to be seated. After about 10 minutes of trying to flag down the bartender to ask we finally were told to just sit anywhere and someone would be there to help us. So we walk out onto the patio since the place was jammed inside and take the last seat available at the table that happened to be the only one with no umbrella. We waited....waited.... And waited. I started talking to the table across from us and they said they come here all the time and the service is usually fast and really good. But for some reason, today of all days, they only had two servers. I don't know, but being a brewery on st patty's day... You should have more people working then two. Finally after about 45 minutes the server finally got the table next to us their drinks and told us he would be with us in a moment. Not apologizing for the extremely long wait. But then we never saw her again.... In total we waited an hour and was not even offered a glad of water so we just ended up getting up and leaving. I was very disappointed in this because we were so happy to finally be giving it a try. Maybe one day we will come back for a second shot because I would like to give this place a better review since I think it can do a lot better. However after this past Sunday I am in no rush.

Was there July 6th. 6 people, 1/2 like the food, 1/2 didn't My fish & chips were lousy, mushy fish. Service was as bad as we've seen, even in Antelope Valley!!! One couple refused to leave a tip, the other 2 couples left a small tip. None of us will go back, too many good choices around.

Went here for date night with the hubby last weekend and it was just what we were looking for....kick back atmosphere, yummy beer, and freaking phenomenal snacks! This place sure hit the spot and we will certainly be going back. Why only 4 stars?....well, we only had appetizers, so I'll update when I've had this infamous house burger or something else off the main menu. But for what it's worth, get the pretzel with the beer cheese. We originally ordered a pretzel and the onion rings (which are also pretty awesome) to share. The pretzel is definitely good, but the spicy cheese sauce it comes with is so amazing that we ended up ordering a second pretzel just so we could have more of that cheesy goodness! This place took me back to my college days of drinking at the local microbreweries...not something I ever expected to see in the AV!

Went here with a group of friends a couple weeks ago to give it a try and support, would love to see more businesses like this on the Blvd. We tried a couple appetizers (Chorizo Tots: Very creative, but a couple more for the serving would have been nice, Onion Rings: Great batter! Well cooked onions, cant ask for more!) My wife and friend split the burger and said it was very juicy with great flavor. Our server was a little quiet and sparse and kinda quirky but he did his job. They were out of about 6 beers on the menu (out of about 18 or so) but that was ok. I tried one of their brews, The Gear? and it was good, but not great. Look forward to trying more. I only saw one TV in the place right behind the bar, not sure how that will fare on Game days!

Went here for the first time for a friend's laid-back 21st. Got the sampler and some great food! Good service too, though non-alcoholic refills a little more often wouldn't go amiss. The owner even came over to talk to us--super nice guy. Will definitely go back, and throw business their way with good verbal reviews! Food is a little pricey for what it is, but it is good.

This place is "out there" to most anyone who lives in San Diego"s brewery world. Truth is for those of us who are big IPA fans, no need to leave town. S.D. is the undisputed IPA capital of the WORLD. Now i find myself working for a week in Lancaster. Sooooo, Yelp time. What do I find but a brewery/restaurant. & for me a low ABV yet hoppy beer is always the goal. I mean to be able to drink 4 plus pts. & maintain it a plus. This place produces several beers with that in mind. CRAZY. Don't see that even in S.D. Now the food. Unbelievable attention to detail on everything from gourmet burgers, Blackened Wahoo fish tacos, in house kettle chips, with house made sauces, on and on. Eating here every night so far & Yes drinking too. This place was recommended by a fellow Yelper Gabe G. And yes, if you read this Gabe. It's all that you posted. Lucky for people who own homes in Lancaster as Kinetic just bumped your real estate $ UP ! I'll be back.

The Food, Beer, and atmosphere were great. The service on the other hand was terrible. I found myself constantly waiting unusually long for new drinks and to even order food. My wife and I thought perhaps it was just our server and gave it another try a month or so later. Same result. Once they fix the service this place will be a staple on the Blvd.

Tough review to write because I want to give this place a rave review but they haven't made it easy to do that... Only been here twice - but both times they've been out of over 50% of their beers. I can understand that happening from time to time - but to go twice (with about a month in-between) and run into the same problem is pretty disappointing. You don't come here for their guest brews or bottle beers -- you come to try the beer that they brew -- or at least I do. Thankfully tonight (our 2nd time) the only two beers they had available just happened to be the two I wanted to try - so I was hoppy (get it? ha ha). However, I tried to order a flight and was told they don't offer flights when they don't have a lot of their beers available. HUH? Why couldn't I have gotten a flight of the two beers they had (2 4-ouncers of each??). The waitress wouldn't budge - didn't think I was asking too much... Kind of weird and again disappointing! Both experiences have left me a bit frustrated, even though the food was yum and the beer that I've been able to try has been pretty damn good (Propulsion IPA!!). I'm sure I'll be back because it's one of the few non-corporate and decent places to eat and drink in the AV -- but I really hope their availability improves and they learn to be a bit more flexible when they happen to be out of almost all their beers. Closing remarks: If you're coming to try their beers specifically, I STRONGLY suggest you call ahead to make sure they have some available.

I had to rewrite this review because they have changed their recipes. So the seriously good food is gone, replaced with less than stellar impostors. The 3 star stays only because of the beer, had it been a restaurant only they would be 1 star on the food. They failed to mention this on the menu and I was completely disgusted to order the Cottage Pie and find GROUND BEEF in it instead of the meat they used to use. Of course, the price wasn't dropped either. The low and slow aspect of this is gone, it is now fast food and the taste of A-1 steak sauce overtakes everything else, including the herbs that were so prevalent in the earlier version. If I ate ground beef, I could pour some cheap steak sauce on it and serve it at home. I won't be back to eat this again, the joy is gone.

Great service, great atmosphere, GREAT beer!! Well, I'm not so much a beer drinker, but my husband got the sampler...and I actually liked most of the samples I tried!! The waitress was helpful and knowledgable. The owner came out and introduced herself and we chatted for awhile. My husband brews his own beer and was very impressed!! I was impressed with how they use local ingredients from our weekly farmers market and bakery, in their food. Note....their food selection will not be huge (as is with most great breweries...they keep it simple and serve awesome beer), but the burgers, hot dogs, sandwiches, and onion rings that we all had were delicious!! Highly recommend to locals and out of towners!!

My wife, my daughter n I went to this brewery. We were really impressed with the high quality of the beer brewed here. I had the rusted gear n my wife had the fusion, that was one of the best tasting beers that I've ever had. smooth tasting yet light medium bodg with a great after taste. My daughter had a glass of red wine. we ordered some appetizers oh by the way even though they took a long time to prepare it was well worth the wait. So, we highly recommend this place it's a bar/family restaurant with a coach feel to it.

My husband and I went here and meet some friends. It was on the same night they had the Christmas on the blvd. So needless to say it was extremely busy. We found a seat and got our drink order got our drinks pretty fast considering it was packed. Then we put in our food order now it was very busy and we totally understood it would take a while but it actually took and an hour and 20 minutes to get our food we didn't complain we just ate our food which was actually pretty good once we got it. Now the friends we went with had been there before and swore up and down it normally isn't like this so that is why I still gave 3 stars and the food was good so......but they clearly need to staff more people for busy nights like this. We will go again and try it when it is not o busy hopefully this next time I can give 5 stars!

I've been here twice and wasn't impressed either time. The first time wasn't even memorable; the only part of my review reflective of the first visit is the fact that I'm giving two stars rather than one. The second time was off-putting. I went with my boyfriend, and he's not really the brewery type. He's the I'll drink beer if it's all that's around and I feel like drinking type. Whatever, we've gone to breweries before and he's always found something he liked enough to get a buzz on. So we're here, and he asks his standard of "Do you guys just have an MGD?" This always makes me shake my head at him a bit (and maybe roll my eyes if it's a place we've been before), but the bartenders never have a problem. Most often the bartender says "no, but we have bla, bla, and bla, which are kind of similar, how about I give you some samples and you can pick one?" Less often the bartender will say "sure, but it's in a bottle, is that ok?" This is the first time he's heard "umm, this isn't THAT kind of place," with a look on her face that would really only be justified if he had asked for an MGD with a side of dead baby. You know the "you don't belong here and I think you're beneath me" tone the host of the French restaurant in Ferris Bueller's Day Off uses? She sounded something like that, but it was much funnier because (a) this is a casual brewery in Lancaster, not a fancy restaurant in Chicago, and (b) fancy places in Chicago were much more courteous to us. I politely rescinded my beer order because I figured she must have meant this isn't the type of place that values making money, as silly as that might be for a relatively new business. No, I lied, I'm sure this is the type of place that values making money, they just won't get any of mine.

Fabulous House Burger and fried pickles! I mean awesome! We weren't impressed by the steak salad. At all. But we've gone back for the burger and pickles. Wish the burgers came with fries instead of chips though. :) Fish and Chips were pretty darn good, but needed some flavor, or salt. Added a lot of salt and vinegar.

we had a sloppy, cold appetizer called poutine (french fries, gravy and cheese curd) and i would bet that kinetic uses frozen fries because that's what it tasted like. it was virtually inedible and we were tempted to send it back, but instead ate what we could and left the rest. the mini tacos and house burger were pretty good, but sadly, the beer was nothing to write home about for $53. i'm eager to get back to lancaster and try other micro-breweries.

Love the house beers and the guest taps. "Meaty Mondays" are my favorite, when they serve a special burger for one night only. Only complaint is that they close pretty early for a bar.

  • Don B.

This place is great, and has the ability to be top-notch. But there are a few complaints, so lets get those out of the way: First off, they really need to improve/fix their seating policy. You're supposed to seat yourself, but it isn't explicitly stated. The last time we went in, we took a seat, and nothing. The owner finally had to help us after nearly 10 minutes of thumb-twiddling. Some gastropubs have you order first, then they give you a number and have you find a seat. That might just work here. Second, there needs to be one or two more additions to the menu for vegetarians. It will increase the customer base, and can be done without deviation from the menu's theme. Portobello mushroom burger, for example. But that's just a minor gripe.. Now, this place is new, and still working out it's bugs, but I will you tell you one thing: THEY HAVE BEER BREWING DOWN. Seriously. They offer some amazing beers from different Microbreweries, but who cares? The in-house beers are great. Ive had the following: * Pendulum (German Hefeweizen) : Slightly nuttier than a mass-market Hef, and certainly cloudier. This was the weakest one I've tried, but I'm not the biggest Hefeweizen fan. * Gear Up! (Golden Ale) : This was the best Golden Ale I've had. It had a honey aftertaste that balanced it's flavor perfectly. I certainly hope they brew more asap. * InaugurAle "Batch #1" (American Strong) : Not for the weak, but certainly for the beer-lover. It's like tasting bourbon, but without the burn, and some hoppiness. I had reservations about this, but it was a complex ale that featured a flavor that changed with it's temperature. * Freya (Norse Rye) : Wow. First off, I love gin, so to be offered a beer with notes of Juniper and Caraway, I was in heaven. It was spicy, with hints of a "foresty" taste. * Rusted Gear (Brown Ale) : Again, another nice surprise. First off, it came out as dark as a stout or porter, but had a mild flavor with it's bitterness totally negated by notes of chocolate. It was smooth, and was fine even after warming up a bit. So yes. Good beer. And did I mention the icing on the beer cake? FIVE DOLLAR PINTS. Now, the food... It's typical gastropub fare, with Frites, fried pickles, and the necessary burger. But there are a few enjoyable additions like the Pretzel, using spent grain from the brewing process. This gives it a unique taste that is somewhere between sweet and nutty. The Poutine is a welcome addition to the AV, and the vegetarian Cottage Pie is perfect for absorbing the alcohol from that bourbon beer. As stated above though, they really should add at least one more meatless option, as well as offer more daily specials (or if they do, announce it better). All-in-all, this place has the makings to be awesome. A bar for people who like drinks but hate "bars," hearty food done simple and good, and of course, some damn-fine LOCAL beer.

My girlfriend and I tried this place this weekend after spotting it on Lancaster Boulevard (calling the "The BLVD" is retarded) coming home from dinner. I've been away from LANCASTER BOULEVARD for a while and was stunned to see a microbrewery. I'm wetter for this place than Flower Tucci in a gangbang scene. Some people have complained that the food is overly stylized and too expensive: there isn't a single mention of the [fornicating] truffle here, oil or otherwise! I don't know what they're talking about. The house burger was absurd, the ploughman's platter had the best mustard seed cheese I've ever had (also the first, so a low bar, but it's GOOD), the taco plate lunch was great, the dog: rad, the chips are great, the onion rings are some of the best I've had, and the house salad is great. The chef knows what he's doing: BIG TIME. There is nothing inappropriate or excessive about the fare here and there is nothing outrageous about the prices. As a matter of fact, my girlfriend and I were stunned at how reasonable the prices were. Granted, we don't regularly frequent Applebee's or Chili's where the burgers are cheap and the clap is free. This place IS signature dishes: one after another and I will definitely be back for the shepherd's pie and another pour of their Fusion. The house burger is probably made with 80/20, but fat is awesome and to prove it I would remain celibate if it was acceptable to front-pack my trousers with one every day. Rare is the only way to eat a burger made with meat this good, and if you don't eat good red meat with only a sear and a purple center, you deserve a death by Jenny-O salmonella outbreak. Mad cow? Glad cow. My only complaint is that there wasn't ENOUGH artery-clogging goody-goo: where's the egg fried over-easy on top waiting to unleash its sticky neon yellow love juice?! Flower Tucci wants to know! That signature pride extends deep into those pretty stainless kettles they have behind glass where the magic happens. Between the two of us, we tried most of the brews on tap. We made it a point to stick to what they brew in-house and the dude that does the brewing knows he [excrement]. Pint after pint was great, fresh, and very balanced. Their darks carry the lack of carbonation and abundance of bitters that makes one of the best in-house selections I've tasted... and I know beer. The InaugerALE enticed me, pickled me, and left me with a coating on my palate that could have passed for a really good gunpowder tea. DON'T CHANGE A THING! I will name my first born son Rumpelstiltskin and submit to the equine copulation that did in Catherine the Great to avoid any changes. It is seriously difficult to brew a dark beer bitter without making it skunky. The beers here compete with Dogfish Head... at a price that's better than what you would pay for a four-pack in a liquor store. Too expensive? Perhaps for someone with the palate of a puppy with a touch of fecalphilia. The acidity of the beers, especially the darker ones, is key to the algorithm of what it takes to turn a curious exploration of a new place into an experience that gladly fleeced us of a Benjamin... and the chef here is smart enough to exploit that precious formula of alcohol, acidity, and lovey-dovey chub-lub with EVERY item on the menu. Even the salad balances on that culinary tightrope! Everything plays together on the menu and there is plenty of room to grow. In-house sausage? Lamb cheeks? Bring the offal... please GOD bring the offal a la Incanto! The problem is that this community won't support all the artistic potential that is very present in the kitchen staff. Point: BEX is still in business with boil-in-bag burgers and house alcohol from plastic jugs... and I'm not just talking about the waitresses there. Kinetic Brewing is all natural... and this time I'm also talking about the waitresses. The fact that so much of this place is done in-house and they don't distract from the products they serve with the decor stylings of a magpie with hoarding disorders makes this, hands-down, one of the best places I have eaten recently. Not in Lancaster or the greater AV, not even LA County. This is the best gastropub/microbrewery I've eaten at since my last visit to Monk's Kettle in San Francisco. Do you know Monk's Kettle? It's [fornicating] legendary. Kinetic can compete and its name is backed up by the energy they put into crafting a truly memorable experience. Lancaster should be blessed that they finally have a place this good on a street with a name so stupid.

If I could give this place 4 1/5 stars I would. I love to dine at local eateries and this is one I keep going back to. I moved here a short time ago and I'll be a repeat customer for awhile. The beer was amazing when I had it, the food has some funky flares that I LOVE because it's not just the norm. The pretzel app is great and so are the tacos just to name a couple.

Update! All you can ask from a new place is to improve on their obvious flaws. Kinetic has done just that. They now have a full bottle list, I tried the fried pickles and they were amazing. Servers were friendly and the atmosphere was great on a Wednesday night. I real gem in the AV. Had the Freya and the Fusion Porter. Both excellent. Looking forward to my next visit.

The food is fine and the drinks are ok. Nothing amazing here. The service is pretty bad though. We keep going back hoping for a better experience, but so far no luck. One day we had to leave because we were heading across the street for a movie. We told the server we were on a time crunch but after 20min and our drinks still hadn't arrived, we ended up leaving empty handed. Another time we were told they couldn't take our food order because the kitchen was closed, only to hear the server five minutes later taking someone else's order and then bringing them out some food. Tonight we saw that they were open until 12am and we just got out of a movie across the street. It was only 10:50pm so we headed over. We were told that they had given "last call" early and they were closing. So frustrating! Not sure if we can bring ourselves to go back, but we'll see.

I was not in the mood to go there on Mothers Day, but gave it a shot. Hands down the best burger (house) in North LA County! The house root beer is outstanding. service from Des was first rate. Don't even get me started on how fabulous the bread pudding tastes. Well worth every penny.

Our first time to this new Brew-spot. Friday night it was hopping and a party was ongoing. The first 6-8 beer listings were their Micro brews . Test flight (IPA) for me Belgian for my sweetie , Our friends followed suit. Seeing the kettle chips go by we had to order some, next the the Scotch Eggs then Fried pickles and finished with Chorizo tater tots. Yes you have to eat if you sip a few beers ! The Kettle chips pegged my fun meter with the eggs coming in second , the pickles didn't see to go with my beer but most at the table enjoyed them. Chorizo tots had great flavor but the first run to us was cold in the middle . The owner brought the second batch and was red in the face with embarrassment. We had to stop him from apologizing as we understood with a full house and a party ongoing. We did have a hard time communicating at the table as it is loud . Next time we will taste the entrees and dive further into micro brews as well as the seasonal Brew's available at Kinetic Brewing Co. See you there !

Great beers and really good food. Service is kind of lacking, but can be overlooked because of the quality food and drinks.

First off, great place to hang out with friends. I love the atmosphere and the menu sounds impressive. Unfortunately, when we went they were out of almost all entrees and some of the standout appetizers. It was their opening week, so I will be back to update my review.

This is the best place to open in the AV period since I moved here about 1.5yrs ago, and based on what was here before it might be ever! It is so nice to see a place come in that is truly locally owned and operated as opposed to a chain. Given BeX is not a chain either but this place blows BeX out of the water. I have been to this place many times since they opened only about a month ago. Every time i go in something has changed about the place, not just the beer list. This could really turn into quite the place for a late dinner and some drinks. I have tried almost all their in-house beers. The first beer I had there during the soft-opening right after xmas i thought was not that good. They only had the Hefe then and I though it was lacking. Since then they have seemed to get the brew process right and their beers are all good. My favorite is the pale ale, ignition i think, which is almost an IPA. Their IPA is good as well, but i think their regular pale is better. Their brown ale is also very good, not that bitter and smoother. Their porter is also good, but I'm not usually a fan of dark beers, so if you are it might not be that good. It tasted a little lighter than porters I'm used to. For their food I have tried the chorizo tots, chips, fries and fried pickles appetizers and the burger. It was awesome to see fried pickles, as its been a while since I've had some. I thought all the appetizers were good and look forward to trying the ones i have missed. The burger was excellent and is served with the chips. It could be the best burgers in the AV. I need to go for dinner instead of drink and apps to give some more of their entres a try. One main thing they can improve on is the service, they seem short staffed many of the times i've been there. I am not going to count off a star for that since they are pretty much still in their infancy, but they need to work on this, especially during off times. I would whole-heartedly recommend this place to anyone looking for good food and good local beer. Kinetic could honestly compete with gastopubs/microbrews from anywhere! Hopefully the AV can support them so they are here for the long haul. This place is a HUGE improvement to the Lancaster BLVD and the AV as a whole! Please let more places like this come to Lancaster/Palmdale!!!

I was so excited when I saw them building this place and I couldn't wait to try it. It met all my expectations. I'm not a huge beer fan, but they had the best Hefeweizen I've ever tried. It's true their menu is small, but it's because everything is made to perfection! I tried the house burger and it's probably the single best burger I've ever had. I can't wait to go back and try the rest of the menu!

Nice place! Great atmosphere and the beer is fresh and tasty. Menu is limited, but what I had was delicious and proportioned well. It is enjoyable, too, to be able to talk about craft beer with knowledgeable people---from the owner to the waitresses. Great addition to the BLVD!

First let me say that this is a review for service only - not food - which I'm sure is great. Perhaps if I ever try Kinetic again, I'll actually get waited on and have a chance to evaluate the food. While I can excuse bad service as simply being an off night- the attitude and lack of concern by the staff has disappointed me enough that I am sharing my experience. It was a Saturday night- always a little iffy in the AV. We poked our heads in and saw several empty tables and staff standing around chit-chatting and so thought we would give it a try. When the hostess walked up to us and learned we were a party of two, she pointed to two empty chairs at the long wooden table up front (shared by many) and said that we could sit there. It was a little crowded at the long table and so my husband asked if we could have private table (which we saw were available). "Um okay" was the reply "but I'm going to have to set it up..." We then watched as she went over and chatted with another server at the register before she picked up silverware and walked over to take us to one of the several empty tables, said "so-and-so" would be our waiter and walked off. Nineteen minutes later we still had not even been acknowledged. I tried waiving to to hostess a couple of times but was not noticed. Another family that had also not been waited on yet got up and walked out. When I saw two of the staff look at the now empty table and then shrug at each other I walked over to them to explain that we were on our way out of there too and that I wanted to speak to a manager. Okay she said but she's with a customer so I don't know when she'll be able to see you. She then looked at the other waitstaff and rolled her eyes. No kidding. She literally rolled her eyes at which point we just left. Now I could excuse delayed service if I had seen the hustle and bustle of a busy evening and a sympathetic waitstaff but tonight I saw neither. So goodbye Kinetic. Believe it or not, there are other options in the AV.

Great new place in Lancaster! Just opened and heading for the top. Great location, atmosphere, staff and good food. I'm gluten sensitive so was afraid there wouldn't be many drink or food options for me. Was so glad to find they have a great pear cider, and the owner and friendly wait staff were able to point me to a few delicious menu options: the ploughman's plate, and the french fries were delicious. Next time looking forward to trying out the Vietnamese tacos!

Great beer. Try the Fusion and the Dark sybian, if you are a fan of stouts and IPAs. I've been here three times since opening and the beer selection is pretty awesome, the food is excellent, and the atmosphere comfortable. Each time I have been here I was with friends so I didn't pay attention to how long it took to be served once ordering, but I did notice that our food never arrived at the same time. I can't comment on everything, but foodwise everything I have had was good. I recommend the burger, fried pickles, and scotch eggs. Chips and fries are good, too. Definitely a hipster microbrewery. You be the judge whether that is good or bad.

What a surprising find! A couple of friends and I stopped by Lancaster from a less-than-thrilling wild flower hike through the nearby Antelope Poppy Reserve. On a Saturday night, there was ample parking right outside along Lancaster Road. We were seated right away and my boyfriend was quite happy with their own brews and a small selection of beers on tap from other craft-beer breweries. We ordered their Seasonal Salad with apple, frisee, walnut, cranberries and goat cheese, and their House Burgers. The salad was very good and the burger was FANTASTIC - definitely one of the BEST burgers I've had lately: the patty was perfectly seasoned; bacon, onion and beer/mustard cheese added great flavors and just the right amount of sweetness; frisee added a touch of crunch; the brioche buns, unlike those in many other gastropub burgers that often fall apart to create a soggy mess, had enough strength and chew to support and complement the rest of the burger. Yum! There are enough TV screens if you wish to catch a game or two. But the noise level was minimal so you can still carry a conversation easily. I noticed that they have many board games around and several tables around us were hanging out and playing games. The crowd was mostly young, professional looking people with a few families and older folks. It looks like a cool, friendly hangout spot for locals and visitors. The service was impeccable. I really liked their home-made ketchup and asked the waitress for a small container to take the leftover home. She packed 5 extra small containers in a paper bag for me. How thoughtful!

The service here is horrible, the staff is rude, the waitresses don't bring silverware and you have to wait until they come back around and try to get a fork. The cider and beer is good. The burger would have been really good except I asked for medium rare and got burnt which really sucked. I didn't want to complain and send back since it took so long to get the food and the waitress made us wait for a knife and fork. Food is good but isn't cooked well. Everything is either really really salty or over done and I love salt. Service is horrible. Go for beer and cider if u need to get out of the house.

GET THE BURGER! Just had to get that out of the way for you damn skimmers. I took my wife and sis-in-law to this place for lunch, so I've still yet to get the prime time vibe, but what I had for lunch was very good and I can't wait to go back and get that burger up in my grill again. I've read some digs on the service in some of the reviews, and to be honest, there was a bit of a lag in the beginning, but once we got going it was all good. The server (wanna say Sarah?) was very friendly and seemed very knowledgable about the menu (food and booze). The atmosphere was pretty nice for the Blvd. I have to admit I was surprised. Plus with the patio seating to check out the Blvd. passer bys, it makes for a very nice option to grab a pint and some grub. I'd definitely go again. I got the sampler so I could check out their beers and was pretty pleased with 5 of the 7. If you haven't been, I'd say you at least have to check them out once. Next up will be the wine bar 2 doors down for my wife.

Had a few friends rave about this place so we finally checked it out. I was very disappointed. The place made me feel sad. Beer was good, food menu was small but considering the service I guess that is a good thing. Place was not crowded at all and service was very slow. Fairly new so I will give it another try later.

We visited on Fri July 13. Had the scotch eggs, chicken sandwich, street tacos, and vegetable pie. My son & DIL had the 3.2 beer, and I enjoyed a rusty gear. The ambience is industrial on the inside, but it was a hot evening and I was grateful for the A/C. It is no more pricey than BJ's and certainly cheaper than Yardhouse. Clientele spanned early twenties up to late sixties, but attire is definitely shorts casual. I will certainly return soon.

Great location, atmosphere, food, and drinks. Best part about the place the serve MEAD!! If you never had Mead I highly suggest it.The Apple pie flavored one is the best. Mead is wine made from honey it is hard to find and a good tasting one at that. All the food I have had is awesome, wish they had a little more choices though since their food is so tasty. The owner is friendly and on two occassions was out greeting patrons sparking up conversation. Great place to go in the AV.

Grown up in the AV, (like almost everyone else here) and have to say Kinetic Brewing Company is the coolest place to open up here in LONNNNNNNG time. Its the perfect place to grab a bite or beer with a date, hang with friends, or even get dinner with your parents. Since moving back from Long Beach for my college years, I've longed for a pub or gastropub to fill the void that has long stood in the AV. I'm sorry never been a fan of the "bars' in this town, and now being 30 and a dad of three even less so. But sometimes the chain restuarants are a little much or too cookie cutter. Hello Kinetic! The beers brewed on site, amazing! The small and slick but delicious menu is just my style,( Gordon Ramsey would be proud) . And the vibe, atmosphere, and the owner and staff are great. I took my wife for dinner on our last date night, we were gonna go see a movie after we ate but we loved it so much we stayed for dessert and played yahtzee at our table. (they have cards and games you can use at your table, its like a starbucks that serves beer!) My wife and I cant wait to go back. I want to try everything but how can I not order that hot dog or poutine (gravy fries with cheese) again.... Please go support local owned restaurants, you wil be so glad you did.

Beer Fantastic!!! The Burger is twelve bucks but your taste buds will thank your wallet. Have not had bad service yet.

In the dismal high desert, where good food and drink are few and far between. This place shines bright on the blvd. service A+, food A+, location A+. This place is awesome with house made dipping sauce and craft beer. The food came out hot, like burn your mouth hot. Perfectly cooked. I saw all the other food for the rest of the patrons, and I ordered another side. Pretzel, onion rings, burger fries, chicken sand, and soup. All of it was just top notch. The make in house catsup FFs!!! It's like they cheated! Food at a restaurant isn't this good

    1. I like that Kinetic is trying new things with their beer. They have something new each Tuesday. Awesome! Sometimes it's a hit and sometimes it's not but they are constantly trying.....Honestly, when the three weavers/drakes/molyans brewer girl (her name escapes me) I thought the beer would go downhill but it hasn't. 2. However...$8 for a soup is ridiculous. Even Newhall Refinery down the 14 isn't that expensive. 3. The staff. The staff isn't as bad as it used to be. I don't expect the wait staff to be cicerone certified but at least enjoy beer. I've had some of the wait staff that beer isn't their thing.

Civilization has arrived in downtown Lancaster! Right next to the farmers' market on Thursday night. Cool and comfortable space. Nice hostess, pleasant attentive server. Beer was a bit slow to come out, but worth the wait. Really enjoyed the 7.1 Propulsion IPA. Great balance and flavor without being too alcohol forward. Definitely could have had a third (or fourth) under other circumstances. On the food side, the veggie burger was ambitiously creative, but not a must have or a do over. It was also a little dry. Beyond the roasted red peppers, I don't recall any sauce, lettuce, tomato or onion, but the bun was a nice brioche type. Chips were good, but I mean....they're chips. Veggie shepherd's pie next time. Onion rings looked awesome, but the server didn't even let me try one from the other table's order : ) My companion's spicy tuna melt was good but too spicy.

Had date night here with the wifey the other day. We came here on a Thursday night, so the crowd wasn't too bad. Made the outing with two other couples. One of them showed up early, so when we arrived we were able to be seated right away. Our waiter was great, he helped us make some decisions on what to eat and drink since this was our first time here. I went with the house burger and potential blonde, which were both great. The burger was very tasty, I mean you can't go wrong with garlic aioli on a burger. The wifey ordered the fried pickles and she said it was good. She opted for the Shaolin Fist, which I also tried. It was a darker beer compared to the blonde but was equally as smooth. Not a huge fan of the Grasshopper though. I'm not big on beers with an aftertaste, which this one definitely had. The Belguim fries were great. It was nice that they give you options for different sauces. The siracha ranch was tasty, but I'm still a big fan of the roasted garlic aioli. I'm sure you can just smother that stuff on anything and it would taste awesome. I've read the reviews on the bad service but ours this night was actually pretty good. Drinks came out promptly and the food came out in a timely manner. My only knock was that the beer list was projected onto the wall and I couldn't see it from where I was sitting. So I had to get my butt up and out of the chair to get a closer look at the beer menu.

  • Rhett B.

Not a bad place at all. I was a little confused about the fake taps they had on the wall thinking they sold those particular beers. But I had been drinking already before I showed up and wasn't in the most receptive mood. The house burger is great. Pricy but considering what antelope valley used to offer, I'm.not complaining.

Awesome place to get a good drink and a killer meal! Had the Poutine with a sunny side up egg. Freaking awesome!! I came up to visit from San Diego, will definitely be hitting Kinetic up every time I'm in town! I would recommend this spot to anyone who asks me where to go for a good beer! Staff was awesome, quick friendly service and answered all my beer questions perfectly. They even had a guest beer from Iceland, Lava, a smoked imperial stout, cool!

This place is now my usual spot to go. The staff is always very welcoming and friendly. The food is to die for. Whatever you order you will not be disappointed. They have the best pretzels I've ever had anywhere and the beer is good too. Do not pass this place up.

We absolutely love this place! The beer selection is fantastic and rotates regularly. You must try Conundrum, a Belgian style beer, when its on tap. We've tried almost everything on the menu and have never been disappointed. Personal favorite is the Poutine and the Bavarian Pretzel. Also their burger is the best in the Antelope Valley! Their staff is friendly and very knowledgeable about the beer. Come in and try it for yourself, you won't be disappointed. Sheila is awesome!

Great brewery in downtown Lancaster. Nice addition to the downtown vibe plus its centrally located surrounded by other restaurants, bars and lounges. Ample selection of craft beers on tap with a unique selection of brewed beers. Ordered the House Burger which was savory with a toasted brioche bun which was light and not heavy. Flavors and taste were all packed into that 8 oz burger. Enjoyed the burger with a pint of Propulsion and Stock Porter both complimented the burger. Service was attentive, courteous and prices equal the quality of the dish. Look forward to coming back again and trying a few other craft beers.

I try to come here every Tuesday for their Tuesday Tap. It's a special five gallon brew they cook up. It's always fun to see the new flavors they come up with. There are always new beers to try, both their own brews and guest brews. The food can be hit or miss, though. I really like most of the food, but it's been delivered cold or burnt enough times for me to just usually avoid ordering good. I hate to be negative about it, though, because the food can be crazy good. The beer is always on point, however, and never a disappointment. The service is always friendly, but can be a little slow of its busy. They have different themed nights, so it's good to come different nights if the week and see what activities they are hosting. Overall, it's a great place to come for a beer and snack with a small group of friends. I highly recommend it and always have a overall positive experience.

    (5)
  • Anthony F.

I have to say i have experienced much better. They never seem to keep their own beer in stock and the service is subpar. This is really a 1.5 star. Basically i will go if it is the only place a friend wants to go.

First time here, food wasn't that great, the Blvd pup (hot dog) was cold and the tacos were dry with no flavor, also had to wait about 25 mins for the food to come out. Might give this spot another try a different day but today was disappointing. Hopefully they just had a bad night. Live singers were pretty good.

Definitely an AV staple. The service has always been great. I like the lighter beer here more then other breweries. But they lack on darker. Bring in some better stouts and it's a 5 from me!

Wonderful atmosphere and overwhelming beer listing. I just asked the waiter to choose for me. He chose a great amber and brought me a darker one to try as well (thanks Craig!) it was great. Even better was the plough mans starter and deep fried pickles. I couldn't eat it all, but the plough man made a great snack later that night! I would definitely come here again. Oh yeah, don't forget...sriracha-ranch!! Yum!

Just wanted to update my previous review. I stopped by for St Paddy's day and had a great experience! The bartender, Jenny, was very friendly and helpful. That is a huge change from the service I got at Kinetic on previous occasions. She was also VERY knowledgeable about the beer they had on tap and gave some great recommendations. Also, the sampler platter of fried pickles, onion rings, and fries were delicious. Hopefully this is a good sign of things to come. Especially since there are only two breweries in the AV.

Ordered a chicken adobo sandwich with fries and a pendulum hefeweizen. First they brought me the wrong beer, I received a blond, definitely not a hef. I was catching up with a good friend that I hadn't seen for over a year so I didn't really notice (they have such a vast selection of beer, I was undecided). However whatever I received was good. The Chicken adobo sandwich was on ciabatta and was OK. It was about 3.5-4" square, for the size and flavor it thought it was grossly over priced (to upgrade to fries from chips it was $2 extra!). It looks like their ketchup was house made and tasted more like cocktail sauce than ketchup (very watery), their ranch was good but also watery. All in all, the decor is cool and I'll definitely give this place another try. I really wanted this place to be awesome... Hopefully on my next visit.

My husband and I went here for a date night and coming here made we wish we never left. We get there and the hostess finds us a table in a corner.... And I understand it's live music night but it's so damn loud that you can't even speak to the person next to you. The service was just plain awful and the food tastes like they are trying too hard to make classic dishes their own while losing quality in the process. It took the waitress over 10 minutes to take our initial drink order.... My hubby got a hef and I got a diet. She doesn't even bring our drinks together.... Instead she brings his first then checks on all of her tables before retiring the get my drink. The food was not great at all. My husband got the pulled pork sandwich, which was dry as hell and it was really sweet..... Why change a basic recipe? If it's not broken don't fix it. I ordered the veggie burger with the side salad. The burger was dry and tasted like they left it on the grill too long. During this entire time the waitress did not come to check on us to refill our drinks even though she would walk RIGHT NEXT to our table. And all of the other servers would walk by us and see our drinks empty yet did nothing. I am not sure what the hype is about. Awful service and poor food. It was not worth the date night and I will not be coming here again.

Stopped by on a Friday night for a couple of beers and food. The place is located on a recently revamped area in downtown Lancaster called the "BLVD". I think it's pretty cool that a place like Kinetic even exists in Lancaster, let alone a whole downtown "main street" area like the BLVD. Once we waked in, the greeter had us seated at a table within seconds. They had nice patio seating outside but we opted for a table inside because it was slightly chilly out. Once seated, the server immediately introduced herself and took our drink orders. She was great, and took the time to answer any questions we had. We ordered a "flight" of beers, which is approximately seven small beer samples on a special tray. The beer was good, but they had to substitute their wheat beer (my personal favorite) with something else they had on hand. I was a little disappointed about that because I'm not a big pale ale drinker which seemed to dominate the sample tray. We ordered the evening special, fish and chips along with a boulevard hotdog. Both items were tasty and a step above typical bar food. No disappointments as far as the food went. While we ate, I observed the atmosphere and decor. It's a sort of austere industrial vibe with an aviation theme. There are interesting art pieces on the wall that resemble WWII aircraft skin, complete with nose art and symbols for downed aircraft. Pretty neat touch. A large traditional bar resides at one side of the brewery and a mix of tables and free standing bar seating on the other. The crowd was a mix of young and old friendly people. We both enjoyed our time there and were not disappointed when we got the bill. It was about half as much as we would spend at a similar place down in Los Angeles. We'll definitely return.

    (4)
  • Chris P.

This is our second time having lunch here. For the customer: Try to pair your beer with the lunch/dinner. The flight of beers is always a good option. We had the house burger and fries for the second time. The first time we absolutely loved the burger, and this time didn't disappoint either. However...the fries were once again served cold. For the business: The fries are continually served cold compared to the main course. You really need to have your staff work on the timing. Also, the rag that is used to clean the taps and the counter tops need to be kept far away from the glasses. I watched the waitress wipe down the rim of the glasses several times after a pour. This is an automatic fail in my book. Overall, I like the beer, but the care that's put into the serving process needs to be as good as the brewing process. You need to fix the fry issue. Try a quality taste before serving.

  • Amanda F.

Kinetics Brewery has a cool vibe but the beer and food was so-so. When we got here, the seating arrangements were a bit confusing. Staff looked at us when we entered but did not greet us. So we figured it was self seating but when we chose a booth, there was a sign for reserved. Finally, we caught the eye of a staff person to ask if we needed to wait to be seated and they said no. We ordered the beer sampler to try out their beers but the cool looking holder was also not clear. Would like if they had some type of card or menu that told you which beet was which without having to look at the chalkboard. Beers had okay flavor, but seemed watered down. Kettle chips were also okay. Too oily and don't like that I have to pay for dipping sauce. One should come free and if customers want others they can pay. If we come back we will be ordering from their domestic beers on tap.

Meeting up for lunch in Lancaster, my coworker wanted to try this place. It's a brewery, and I don't drink beer, so all I'm interested in is the food. We ordered the brusselsprouts and scotch eggs to start and they were GOOD (don't hate on brusselsprouts, they are delicious because they are usually cooked with bacon). The Scotch eggs were also delish, the dijon mustard combined with the spicy sausage surrounding the hard-boiled egg complementing each other perfectly. I ended up eating the spicy tuna sandwich, which the waitress recommended since it was "extra spicy today" (depends on the chef who's making it). It was just the right amount of spicy; I wish it came as a salad since I don't eat bread or the massive amounts of kettle chips. My coworkers had a steak salad, veggie pie, and shared a flight of beers, two of which I tried (Conundrum and Blonde Ale). The Conundrum was good, but I was eschewing alcohol since I'm just coming off of a 24-hour bug. Overall, I'd do it again, really want to try their veggie pie and adobo chicken!

Beers n Burgers. You can't go wrong with the house burger. For the beer side, I greatly enjoyed the Rusted Gear and Fusion brews. Kinetics carry other local brewery, like Mammoth Mtn beer. Good food and wonderful service. A plus is that they have covered outside seating. Location is off the classic Lancaster Blvd. Five stars!!

I only had the beer, no food. The IPA (ignition or propulsion or something) was fantastic. The stout was smooth and the sour tasted horrible. I have had some awesome sour beers from Russian River Brewing in Santa Rosa CA and this Slingshot or whatever they called it was down right disgusting. We went for an impromptu bachelor party the night before one of my wives cousins wedding (yeah confusing, i know). The server that we had (Lacey I think) was very attentive and did a great job handling 10 guys. I loved the decor in the bar, really cool aircraft stuff. All of the guys in our party were either NAVY, MARINE or AIR FORCE aviation related, so it appealed to us. I will stop in again if I'm ever in Lancaster again.

Kinetic has an amazing menu and regular fresh craft beer selection. Their burger is the best in all of Los Angeles! Also, during the day (especially on the weekends) Kinetic is a kid-friendly place. They even have kids menu options. My family really enjoys going here.

Tried their beer at a beer event and had to try the restaurant out. Definitely one of the nicest restaurant on Lancaster Blvd. I had the burger with was friggen awesome. One of the top ten burgers I've ever had. This is a definite must stop place if you are flying by Lancaster. Owners are super nice and the waitress we had was very attentive.

A quaint spot along the boulevard in the old town/downtown district of Lancaster. Fantastic beer selection... Lots of great stuff from around California. I'm still warming up to the style of brews the brewmaster is providing under the Kinetic namesake. It's nothing that will knock your socks off, but the fact that someone is brewing in the area is pretty rad. Poutine is good. Scotch eggs are fantastic. Fries are delicious. And the burger was nice and juicy, but kinda pricy for such a small portion. A beer and burger was 23 bones. Overpriced in my mind, especially for the area. Coming from San Diego, I can find a burger and a beer for a third the price less. I'm surprised that this price point hasn't offended customers. Not somewhere I come regularly, probably because I'm discouraged by the prices. Service was good... It's been a while since the last time I was in, and at least I didn't have to fetch and pour my own water this time. Bartendress was very nice. Not only good looking and a nice rack, but she had an impressive knowledge about beer too. A keeper I tell ya. Not somewhere I find myself wanting to go to, more or less somewhere I'll go to if the coworkers want to grab a beer.

If you end up on this side of the hills, do yourself a favor, forget diners...hit up this Gastro Pub/Brewery. It's nice that we can hit BLM lands, then go here on the way home... Haven't enjoyed a place like this since Stone down in San Diego!

Seriously good house burger. The fries and onion rings were amazing! Pricing is not too bad either. The reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because you kind of walk in and you don't know if you're supposed to seat yourself or not. We had a choice of sitting at the bar or in a few select spots. We sat at the bar. The seating was an issue because they said some whole section were reserved for something but no one came in for the reserved area the whole hour and a half we were there. I just don't like eating at a bar much =P The staff was very nice and the bar tender even switched my drink for me because I failed to see that they had root beer that they brew. I will definitely be back here when I come stay in Lancaster again!

This is the best place to go for food/beer in the AV. Hands down. Love this place. (I seriously don't think I could survive in this desert pit of a landscape w/o this place.) My favorite dishes: fried pickles, chicken sandwich (this is always AMAZING), house burger, pulled pork sandwich, fries (with sauces) chopped salad, and pub salad (add chicken). The beer is all THE BEST but my favorite is Propulsion. It's a strong, flavorful American IPA that I will never get tired of. When they occasionally have AfterBurner you must get it because it's to die for and sells out immediately. Last summer I was obsessed with the Cherry Slingshot, so I'm hoping that comes back soon. And lastly, here's a tip: services is much, much better at the bar than at the tables so wait around for a spot at the bar to open up, even if there is room elsewhere.

Kinetic Brewing is located right on the main drag of Lancaster on Lancaster Blvd. (aka The Blvd.). It's a nice, clean, spacious, new place. The atmosphere is nice and inviting. The menu was a bit overdesign and difficult to read. The service on a particular Saturday lunchtime was pretty slow though and the kitchen had ran out of many of the favorites like the fries, scotch eggs, poutine. They make their fries in house and it comes with 3 housemade sauces too, but we were a little dissapointed we didn't get to try more of them. The jalepeno crema and srirracha ranch were pretty good. The fried pickles had thick crunchy batter coating. The cottage pie was good and comforting. They also have a taster flight. None of the beers here stood out to me, but they were solid and enjoyable. The pineapple blonde only had the faintest hint of pineapple. I liked the Torque and Combustion. Unfortunately, we also did not get to try the Pivot.

I have been to Kinetic Brewing a few times and have to say I am pleased with the food and service they provide. The burgers along with the fish and chips are great! The beer is awesome and a great location on the Blvd with outdoor seating. The customer service is amazing. I love sitting on the patio when the Blvd does their cruises, nothing better then enjoying great food, drinks, and hot rods driving by. My buddies and I even attending their New Years party and had a great time for a great low price. I would recommend this local business to anyone especially now since the weather is warming up, it really is a great place to sit outside and enjoy great food and beer!

I'll start with something nice... The beer selection was good. But other than that? Meh. We started with onion rings for an appetizer. The only thing saving those things was the sauce. The onion rings had not a morsel of any type of seasoning. I mean even the onions tasted like air. I ordered a burger and fries and that took foooooorever to get. Once I got it, it wasn't well done like I asked. Normally I just deal with it if it's a little pink but this burger was freakin' rare. Twenty minutes later it came out again and was pink... Again. So I just said forget it. I was hungry and had been waiting forever so I dealt with it. At least the staff was nice and understanding. And my husband loves beer so we'll probably be back just for drinks.

Just wanted to write an update as I've been back a couple dozen times since my original review and the service has really improved. I went for an early dinner with some friends last weekend (we decided to take our chances at a patio table) and our server really took care of us, I wish I could remember her name because she was outstanding. All of the staff are doing a great job and now that the caliber of service matches the quality of the food and drink this place is as good as it gets. Nice work, Kinetic. Cheers.

My first time in Lancaster, and I wanted to make a point to find someplace great to ensure my visit a success. And did I! Hands down the Propulsion IPA is one of the best IPAs I have ever had...ever. I bought a growler to take home with me, as they do not bottle their beer. What a treat. And a great perk of eating at a place that also brews its own beer. Want some more? Take a jug home with you. Not many places offer that services anymore and I sure do like it. I started off with fried pickles, I do love fried pickles so. These were very very good, battered using some of their brew in the mix made for a very tasty, light, yet full flavor and quality to the batter. The pickles were excellent, very thick cut chips, and served with what tasted like mayonaise, though it could have been blended with something, it was too subtle for me to place. I ordered the house burger mid-rare, of course. It was big and delicious looking, with thick bacon, a delicious glazed bun, and some amazing cheese. But, the burger was cooked medium, on the side of mid-well, so I gather more people come in not knowing about meat, order it too well, and the cook has lost their touch for meat doneness. I should have guessed when the waiter raised in eyebrow in surprise as I requested mid-rare. Shameful. The truth is, because the burger was over-cooked I didn't enjoy it as much as I wanted to. The fried pickles and delicious beer more then made my trip. The inside was nice, dark wood, and not too noisy. I would love to go back and try their mac n'cheese, and pretzel bites, etc. So I will. And you should too.

The menu has changed. The veggie burger is now served with some premade frozen polenta cake which I do not like. It's deep fried to boot. Bring back the bun please because this polenta thing is weird. Also the veggie burger itself is too salty as are the kettle chips. The cider is frequently unavailable .... what gives?? Bit disappointing.

I'm not a beer drinker but I always have a good time here. The food is great and the service is better. It has great outdoor seating and a nice calm atmosphere. Our waitress Heather is always knowledgeable about the different kinds of beers and what to pair them with. If you're not sure what to order she can always help. She was great at accommodating the little requests we had for my daughter and was very friendly the entire time. If you want something different than your average burger joint or sit-down place, I suggest Kinetic.

I love Kinetic! It holds a special place in my heart because it was where I went to buy my first legal drink last year. I definitely don't regret that decision. The Rusted Gear is so good it's almost hard to believe something so amazing could come out of a microbrewery in Lancaster. It's always my go-to, but I've never tried a beer here I didn't like. The ambiance is great. Chill place to go grab lunch with your friends, or to come on a weekend night with a deck of cards and play drinking games for hours. Not the fastest service in the world once it starts to pick up at night, but the servers are always friendly and the food is always amazing. I got the currywurst last month and it was freakin delicious. You can also never go wrong with the fresh kettle chips! I also came here to have a beer with Bubba from the Big D and Bubba radio show a couple nights ago. He's from Nashville where the beer flows like a friggin Hawaiian waterfall, and he was really impressed with the place. Glad he loved it as much as me and my friends do!

After watching an entertaining show at the Lancaster Performing Arts Center, this was the only eatery place that's still open around the area. --- Parking: We already parked the car near the Performing Arts Center. Kinetic is located right across from the Performing Arts Center. --- Environment: Casual pub environment - we found a table, ordered food from the menu, and waited for the food. Only snack/fries menu was served at late night hours. --- Food: Scotch Egg (breaded, sausage wrapped hardboiled egg, served with honey maple mustard, $7) - It's a pretty decent dish, not too bad at all! However, I still think it's a bit pricey (3.5/5) Beer Battered Onion Rings (house-made with Potential Blonde beer batter, served with bavarian mustard, $6) - Outside crust was crunchy and you can taste a hint of beer flavor. A great late hour snack! (4/5) --- Rating: If you are around the Lancaster are, this pub is probably your best option for late night snacks. Overall, 3.5/5 for the overall experience.

My wife and I decided to go to Lancaster Blvd. to try something different for our anniversary. By default we stay away from the Blvd because it's a dangerous street to drive on. I had heard of the Kenetic Brewing restaurant and had heard the beer was good. The beer was definitely good but the place was extremely loud, the table we sat on was cleaned with a smelly rag and it made us lose our appetite. We mentioned it to the waitress and she didn't care. It's a shame that most of the restaurants on the Blvd. have the same I don't care attitude.

I really don't get the 4star review not a 5?! Really? It's Lancaster! Have you seen what else exists here? Hmmm strip mall crap with Reno-Style food or Kinetic with fun, epicurean inspired, and consistent food. They do special menus for events and holidays that are sort of themed like nachos and chili cheese fries made with beer cheese. They really are friendly and have such heaT customer service. The interior is super cool and really modern with a vamped up old 50's auto shop feel. Casie the manager is really passionate and involved with this place. Originally I called to see if they had space and this fabulous guy (I found out was Tyler) was so upbeat and helpful with a genuine interest in my needs. They really express and show how much they love this place and want it to do well. No one is pushy and sales driven, which feels really chill. The owner obviously treats his employees well (my assumption) because every employee has a great attitude and seems to enjoy being here and invested personally in this place.

Ok I went here last night. I will start with what was good: the staff was nice. The environment was nice. Chill...laid back. They make housemade root beer which was good. You could really taste sassafras in it. Ok now the realness.... They do take forever for your food. I ordered the bavarian pretzel with cheese that was ok even though it took 20-25 mins for me to get it. Once I got it the cheese was hard and the pretzel was hard and cool NOT HOT AND FRESH. For my meal I ordered the Adobo chicken sandwich which I should have listened to the other reviews and stayed clear of it. The chicken was very bland no taste at all and the ciabatta bread wasnt special either. It comes with housemade kettle chips again bland. I put salt on it. My husband ordered the chopped salad and that was full of hearts of lettuce. For the quality of food the ending price is not worth it. PLEASE DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND DO NOT ORDER THE SANDWICH if you are use to seasoned food.

I've had a few really great date nights with the hubs here and still stand by this joint as being one of the AV's "must check out" places. They added a vegan burger to the menu which the hubs says is good. Kinetic's fried pickles are also vegan. The Poutin is my favorite menu item. I haven't found a favorite entrée yet, but I do like the beer. Rusted Gear is my fave. Every AV beer-loving parent should add Kinetic to their date night list :)

I love having a good local brewpub with a great atmosphere. They are always trying to concoct a new and delicious beer, and have a great list of visiting taps that are always fluctuating. Whether inside or outside the ambiance is comfortable for a quick bite, or staying to converse and play games for several hours. The food is good - I highly recommend the burger with their homemade kettle chips. If I feel like something lighter they even have a very tasty portabello mushroom burger that has some amazing flavors to compliment it.

We walked in and awkwardly stood in the doorway wondering if we were supposed to seat ourself or not, no sign to guide us. After a few minutes a waitress said to sit anywhere. We sat ourselves and waited and waited and waited were passed by numerous servers (never the one who told us to seat ourselves) - started looking at alternative restaurants as we were going to leave. Finally the waitress who told us to seat ourselves asked if we had been helped yet, we said no and she apologized and helped us right away. Luckily they redeemed themselves with the food! We ordered the pretzel with cheese sauce to start and it was delicious. I had the spicy tuna and husband had the pulled pork - we both enjoyed our meals. Our waitress was bussing tables and doing everything - they should probably just clone her as it appears she does everything. Maybe get a sign to tell patrons to seat themselves.

Another stop along the new, hip area of Lancaster Blvd. We walked in for a quick drink, but it was packed (good sign), so we asked the hostess if we could sit at a raised community table and she promptly complied. I tried the porter, and the three of us shared some fried pickles which were not the best fried pickles I've ever had, but we ate them. I guess I can't comment on the food other than that, but I like me my porters, and this one did not disappoint. Hope to try another beer soon!

I'm a frequent customer at Kinetic and I am SO happy to have a place like this in the Antelope Valley. It seems they always have a new beer to try when I'm there, which is always fun. AND it is all great. They have a drink to suit anyone's needs. The food is always good. They even have vegetarian and vegan options! The service has always been good, no complaints. Sure it may get busy sometimes, but our server always makes sure that they know we are there. I honestly have nothing bad to say about this place. It's always good, it's always fun and relaxed.

  • Raven S.

I have read many reviews and experienced it for myself... they don't have enough people working on the nights where something is happening and its busy. There were maybe two waitresses for the whole restaurant which created very poor service. We had ordered everything we wanted right off the bat because we had somewhere we needed to be and we wanted to get there quickly. We only ordered drinks, burgers, and fried pickles and it still took forever for our food to come out. When we did get our food my dads medium burger looked rare and my moms well-done burger looked medium. My medium well came out good though. The pickles took a long time to come out and though they were large, they weren't very good. Deep fried will always be less appealing than pan fried in my opinion. I just wasn't very impressed at all.

Overall this place has the potential to be great, but service is very hit or miss. You often get ignored or the feeling the front of house staff is incompetent. Came on a Sat night or music and meals with a group of 5, ended up eating elsewhere as there were no free tables. Tried to make a reservation earlier in the day, but they don't take reservations for after 6pm. A little disappointed after we showed up to see half of the larger tables set aside for reservations, and free areas near the bar were being held by people waiting for friends.

I'm going to upgrade my review, because my visit this past Sunday night was much better. We sat at the bar again and McMuscles (I now know this kind guy's name is Philip, but I still want to call him McMuscles because his chest/arms are so damn impressive!) was our server. He quickly got our drinks (my Gear Up, hubby's chocolate chipotle thing, our friend's iced tea) and got our food order in. Only downfall was that the kitchen was out of our friend's Scotch egg order, but that's it. Hubby's burger was REALLY good this time! No strange greasyness, just great flavor. My cottage pie was also very tasty, no foil to be found. ;) My only minor qualm was that it was a little dry this time, but I still very much enjoyed it. We also tried the frites. The light red (spicy something?) dipping sauce is super good. The red sauce and the white sauce...just go ahead and skip those. The red one is icky (can't even pinpoint the flavor) and the white one seemed to be mayo with a little garlic mixed in. I sampled my friend's spent grain pretzel, and I thought it had great flavor and texture with just the right amount of saltiness. I also noticed that we no longer had the bill staring us down. That was nice. We will definitely be back! And one of these days I hope to get a few pints in me and have a rousing game of Uno with whoever I'm with!

I will say hats off to the chef on the Rib Eye meal, the Garlic Mash and Gravy was superb and carrots were sweet. My wife Becca usually puts A-1 on her steak but this prime cut of beef was done perfectly. (Medium Rare) The French Poutine which I never had before was exploding with flavor (slightly salty, which may be the way it is supposed to be), again my compliments the chef and his assistants. Of course we had 3 great beers which complimented our meals perfectly. Not to give her little consideration but Shaunna who was working hard last night took care of the patio area well, kudos go to her. Thank you and see you soon. By the way we had a Cherry Slingshot and a Couple of Columbus IPAs.

Great food! Great and friendly service! I am not a big fan of beer but I tried the hard apple cider - it was refreshing! Hubby and I split a pulled pork sandwich and the adobo chicken sandwich... both were great! I'm not a huge fan of the kettle chips - they taste like they're missing something (salt, maybe?), but they couldn't have been that bad, because I finished them. The house sauces are very good! Overall, it was a great experience eating there!

I like beer alot, my wife loves beer as well. I am an IPA drinker and she likes the wheaty fruity beers. It's good because we try each others beers and have a good time at breweries. I am not a beer snob but I like a good hoppy IPA and when I want to have a strong craft beer I can come to the Kinetic and get something that they have on the board. From what I have been told they have their beer as well as they get beer from another brewery in town. Lancaster must be growing to have TWO breweries in town! I have made a point to try a few of their beers and each time I was happy and have repeated the order. The beer is good but also the food is good. I like the burger most of all. I think the taco plate is good, a little pricey for tacos but when you are having gourmet beer and the food is available and great flavors the price is not as much of a hit. I guess when the beer is 9% the pain fades hahah The burger is gourmet, it is on par with other places that have gourmet burgers in Los Angeles. When I have a the urge for a gourmet burger I don't have to travel 50 miles to get it. Kinetic has what "Hots in Northridge (R.I.P.)" used to (burgers that is). The decorations of the place are cool too. All themed on WW2 war planes etc. I guess downtown Lancaster is blanketed in history for military airplane test pilots (Chuck Yeager, etc) so its fitting. They have a patio too. Although a considerable amount of money and energy went into "revitalizing" downtown Lancaster, the area is a dump. You can throw money at the place but the surrounding area is pretty poor. I think there is something sad about having a gourmet burger on a patio with a few craft beers and the people walking by on the sidewalk are in close to extreme poverty. Maybe that's why I drink the stronger beer. Poor Lancaster, I am hopeful that the people in the area can dig out of this economy so we can all have a few craft beers together. PRO: Great beer, Great choices of beer, REAL GREAT BURGER!! CONS: Revitalized but still clearly an area that needs some help. An infusion of jobs rather than speakers with easy listening blaring.... Clearly this is not an issue with the place, just the place-ment. PROTIP: I think they would get more street cred if they added a cask beer and a pump a the bar....

I had the Adobe chicken sandwich and my wife had the spicy tuna sandwich. They both were awesome. Service was good. My glass never got empty and even had great live music. Will definitely be back. The lots of food I saw heading to other tables that i have to try.

Well I should have known when it took 20 minutes just for the waiter to ask if we wanted a drink it was going to be bad. They did their spin on St Patty's day favorites corned beef and cabbage and shepherds pie...some things should not be modernized. Leave the hearty homemade feel alone and don't sacrifice it for presentation. Worst meal ever! Chef Carlos at UAV can kill both of those plates and not even try! And I think I may have seen my waiter twice, almost dined and dashed cuz he took so long!

  • Angela M.

Well I went here a few times when they first opened and the service was horrid back then and they were a bit disorganized. Figured it was growing pains, so waited awhile and went back again a few weeks ago and much better with the service! The menu was changed up a bit, I believe their burger is still probably one of the better things on the menu. I got the pretzel once but it was raw in the middle, I chalked that up to the growing pains though because I would get it again and I enjoyed the sauces it came with. The kettle chips are pretty good and home made, nothing too fancy but there is something to be said about the simple pleasures in life. And the onion rings are standard. I have had yet to have their poutine but the fact that they put oxtail on it makes it a winner in my book. Their dinner salad while just $6 is actually a large portion so it is perfect to share with someone. When we went, they had lobster mac and cheese and that was yummy and a little different. As far as the beers go, I mean how can you go bad with a microbrewery. The prices have gone up since they opened a bit but their beer selections are excellent and the servers are pretty knowledgeable with providing recommendations for the indecisive people like myself in this world. I love supporting local non-chain establishments in my travels for work so that is the reason for the extra star. They also have wine for those that do not like beer, but for that I would just go down a few doors to the wine bar.

Ask for pico de gallo with the kettle chips. Even if you are not a beer drinker there is a good amount of great food to enjoy.. I'm going to die of a heart attack from all the amazing cheese on the Ploughman, it's soo good!

This review is in regards to the beers not the food. I can honestly say as a beer connoisseur - phenomenal taste - house brew IPA's are top notch. Finding this place made my move to the AV much easier. I will definitely be coming in here as a regular. Also - they sell growlers! NICE!!! I highly recommend making this place a must.

We would've appreciated more frequent visits from our waitress and some guidance from the start of our visit. There wasn't a sign saying "please wait to be seated" or "seat yourself". We felt awkward walking in and standing at an empty desk. However, our waitress was super nice and was attentive to us when she did stop by. Honestly, those are the only things making this review 1 away from 5 stars.. The food... Oh the food! We wanted to start our night off with drinks and a few appetizers and this was the perfect place to go! We ordered the beer sampler first, which was perfect for a kinetic brewery newbie. You get a little bit of everything for $10. We then ordered their fried pickles and pretzel. The table next to us had an epic looking plate of fries so we ordered some for ourselves. Crisp, fresh, well seasoned and the right amount of potato made for a great 3rd appetizer choice! The bavarian style cheese for the pretzel is really, really spicy. The amount of dipping sauces available for the fries and pickles is AWESOME!! Sirracha Ranch? Chipotle Aioli!?!? So Yum! Their ranch gets a rating of 10+ in my book! (Out of 10... Yes that good!) We loved the vibe and food! So we can't wait to experience the entrees on our next visit!
