My favorite restaurant in Lake county hands down! Service and food are always spot on. With the lack of eateries in Lake county this place is about the best you'll find. Fresh ingredients and cooked fantastic every time I've been there. If you're looking for a place to eat in Lake county don't bother with the mediocre places. Give Park place a try, you won't regret it!

Hubby and I went an hr before closing called and they were able to seat us right away we shared the Gorgonzola bread which is a must and my Little one had the children's tortilini with parmesan which was out of this world. Hubby and I shared a bay shrimp and crab pasta dish with fresh pasta and a lemon cream sauce and a small side salad. The service was amazing portions generous and I highly recommend any and all pasta as its just done right.

My wife had a doctor's appointment in Lakeport, CA on a Monday afternoon and thought we'd eat lunch nearby at Park Place. We have eaten there before and found the food acceptable (Lake County, CAhas very few reliably good restaurants). This time, however, we found the service atrocious--- we waited more than 15 minutes after being seated at our booth, were totally ignored by waitstaff, and watched three other tables that were seated after us being served. This is totally unacceptable, and I have to give only one star. We will not return to the restaurant if service is going to be likenthis

My mom goes to this place all the time and raves about it. She also is a very good person and a very generous tipper. You would think for the many times she's been there in the last month or even week, that someone would recognize her and say 'Hi.' No one does. It would be like her first time there. It was my first time here actually to visit my mom and catch up and she wanted to take me to her favorite place. We got to Park Place and were seated quickly. Server asked about drinks, we ordered. Then started with appetizers. Before we were even done we felt rushed to order entrees. Honestly, once again trying to catch up with my mom and you aren't packed. I've been a server before and that's just not right. So we ordered anyway.. Before we were even done with our entree we were asked if we needed boxes? Really? To say the least we were rushed. My mom put her tab out with her card, and we don't re-call she ran the card, and then asked her to run it and then were told 'I already ran it!' Well thank you. You should NOT treat your everyday customers this way. It will come back to you. I gave it two stars for the food.

Meh. Service was pretty good, the place was PACKED on a Saturday night, we had reservations for 6:45. We arrived at 6:50 and got in line at the hostess station behind 2 other parties waiting. They were finished taking phone calls and helping the people in front of us, so when we got our turn at the hostess station and told them about the reservation, and they said, "we thought you weren't coming b/c you are so late" We explained we had been waiting in line to speak with her...she said fine, and the bartender poured me a generous glass on the house. (Nice!) We ordered the pork loin special and a fettucini special, apparently they make the fettucini in house (no other pastas - just the fettucini). Yelpesr raved about the cheesy bread - so we ordered that. They came back about 5 mins later and said they were now out of the pork loin. Fine, we ordered the tortellini Pesto in its place. (the fish and chips at the other table did look good though - I wish I liked fish) They were fine, not great, totally edible. And for the prices this place was fine. I'll say though that if this place were in a bigger city it would never last b/c there would be many better places, but I can see where in a small town it draws crowds.

Went here to celebrate our 29th anniversary. It was very nice, good food, and friendly staff. My only complaint would be how many bugs were in the place. Fruit flies everywhere as well as regular flies. Also, the windows really need to be cleaned. Other than that, prices were very reasonable. Loved that they had outdoor seating even though we didn't get to sit out there.

Their food has been more consistent of late, though occasionally slow. Major disappointment when they mess up the 4 year old's order and he has to wait an extra 20 minutes for his food. Note to restaurant staff: 4 year olds ARE NOT PATIENT. Feed them first, and save yourself pain and their parents unnecessary stress!

Worst customer service ever. If I could rate them 0 stars, I would. I called in an order for pick up for a staff meeting over an hour before I needed it and when I walked in the door, I waited 15 minutes before anyone even asked if I needed anything. I tried to flag some of the staff down but they would glance up and continue what they were doing. When one of the guys finally asked what I needed, I told him I was there to pick up an order. I told him the order and gave him my credit card to pay. I waited for 20 more minutes for my food to come out. The guy came back out after this and proceeded to tell me that me and another girl who had walked into the restaurant several minutes after me had had similar pick up orders and he had charged me for her order. He had to void the payment. She didn't even wait that long and got her order and left and then I was told that our order hadn't even been placed yet and that if we wanted our food, we would have to wait. My food order should've been placed 2 hrs before so I ended up leaving! Even though Lakeport doesn't have many restaurant options to choose from, I will never go back to Park Place again. They are extremely slow, disorganized and not worth the wait.

I've said it before, I'll say it again: Gorgonzola is the cheese of the gods. The. Cheese. Of. The. Gods. And, thus, Park Place's Gorgonzola bread tastes as though it's been given a nice little sprinkling of the Divine. And, their Gorgonzola pizza? Practically a religious experience. My people! I have been to Park Place countless times and have yet to have a negative dining experience. Large windows offer views of the lake as you dine. Or, during the summer months, seating outdoors is available on their front patio or shaded rooftop dining area. Quality dining in Lakeport is limited--but Park Place consistently brings it. The last time I was in town, I didn't have time for a full blown meal there--so I called and ordered their Gorgonzola bread for take out and took it with me (or tried to, but the group I was with and I pretty much devoured it before we even made it to the freeway). Because, visiting Lakeport and NOT getting their Gorgonzola bread? Criminal. Seriously, if I could, I'd have them ship me some of the stuff. You know....weekly. Get to it!

Our pasta was excellent as was the marinara sauce. It is evident that both are made on site since they are fresh. The meatballs are tasty and the carrot cake was great. The side salad was average. The garlic bread that came with dinner was good but singed. Service was kind but not attentive, empty beverages for too long. The lunch portions are perfect for dinner and if you get there before 5:00 you can still get lunch. Granted the menu reflects midday meals rather than dinner entrees but that was fine for us since we wanted pasta. We would definitely return here for the quality of the pasta dishes.

Park Place serves upscale food at reasonable prices. My favorites are the shrimp salad, fish and chips, the pesto tortellini and their gorgonzola garlic bread. Outside tables are good for spring and fall but it's too hot to sit outside in the summer. With a slight view of the lake, the wonderful and attentive wait staff and very tasty food, you can't go wrong with Park Place. Just make a reservation for dinner on Friday or Saturday night as they fill up quick!

I can't say enough wonderful things about Park Place. I'm biased, I worked there as a cook from 1997-2001. Over the years, I only get back to Lake County once or twice a year from the Bay Area, and it's just as wonderful as it's always been - plus more. The menu has really grown to be outstanding - can truly compete with all of that over-priced Napa Valley food - a tip of the Hat to the Zabel/Morris family and J.Z. for kicking it up to 'eleven'. I see the menu every day on facebook, and it all looks so delicious. An outstanding special menu riddled with the regular favorites. I've never had a bad meal, or bad service - even now being a total stranger. Now, as a Bay Area foodie, my palate has even more discretion, and Park Place is THE ONLY place I'll spend my money at when I come up to Lakeport. Period. I highly recommend the Gorgonzola Bread, Delux Burger, Mediterranean Salad, Glorioso, etc., but the Daily Specials are truly where it's at. Specials vary from day to day, you can't go wrong. And the view/location - you just can't beat it. I'm sure things get busy on Fri & Sat nights, so be patient with the wait-staff - the folks are throwing quality food out the best they can and as quick as they can, you won't be dissapointed! And the brunch special menu is always awesome. All pasta sauces are made from scratch, fettuccini pasta is pulled by hand, salad dressings are made from scratch (some are painstakingly slowly made), steaks are generous and purchased from a wonderful local butcher, fish/seafood delivered straight from Ft. Bragg (1.5 hours away!), and the Pesto comes from a wonderful supplier where I live (Hayward). Since I've lived in the Bay Area, it's still the ONLY pesto I purchase... few things have a bigger place in my heart - and all that is Park Place is one of them. I'll continue to come back to Park Place, as few & far between as I get up there, it's first on my list. xoxo AWS

This is a good little bistro. There are three things that I really like about it. First, they make their own pasta daily. That is a good sign. I have tried the homemade pasta with both Alfredo and pesto sauces. Both dishes were pretty good and huge. There was a lot to take home for later. The second thing that I like about Park Place is the steak. Usually I wary from steaks at restaurants, unless it is a steak house. Park Place knows how to cook a steak! They might be one the smaller side, but I'll take a smaller version done correctly over a plate-sized steak that isn't so great. The third think that I like about this place is the service. The serving staff is really nice and quite accommodating. They make me want to tip well. There are a few areas that could use some improvement. The table bread is hard and stale. Secondly, the wine list is not great. I like how they have local wines, but they are not the best. They need advice from an experienced sommelier. Despite that, I will be back.

Park Place is one of the few consistently good restaurants in town! The staff is friendly and helpful and I have never been disappointed in what I ordered. The view of the park and lake are the best!

Came here with my amazing stud boyfriend for his birthday. We ordered the crab cakes and the ribeye and daily special seafood pasta. Everything was great until we went to bed and woke up the next morning sicker than dogs who got in the trash and ate chocolate. I don't know if the seafood wasn't fresh or what but we literally spent 5 hours taking turns using the bathroom and throwing up. :(

Park Place is a gem by Clearlake in Lakeport. We stopped in for a quick lunch while exploring the area and everything was fresh, tasty and friendly. We tried a couple different sandwiches and both were executed very well. Right by a park (duh) and nice views. Outdoor seating for nice weather days. (very) Dog friendly. Unpretentious and good. We met some interesting people while having our lunch, an unexpected pleasure. We'd be happy to return!

Horrible Service! I can't write a review today that talks about the food. Unfortunately my family and I never made it that far. We arrived at restaurant, asked the hostess how long the wait would be and she said 20 minutes. She told me we have this table over here and these folks are wrapping up their dinner. We sat down at a waiting area and decided why not have a few drinks while we wait for "our" table to clear. Went to the bar...ignored...ignored...ingnored...! We decided hey their busy we will just order drinks once the table is cleared. As the table is getting cleared it was acknowledged yet again by the wait staff that our table would be ready shortly - I'm thinking great, we get to eat soon. That's not what happened. A large party of 7 arrived and was seated within minutes of walking in at the table that I was told my family and I would be seated at. So of course my family and I leave and decide that this is just not ok and we will not support such business practices. I decide to call a while later and speak with the manager to complain, however she only infuriated me more by telling me that we were not seated because the party of 7 had a reservation, and kept repeating it over and over as if I were wrong . I totally get it, I understand the reservation process and what it is, but there was ZERO and I mean ZERO communication from anyone that this was the case. They didn't even bother to pull me aside and say hey, these folks had a reservation and their table is not ready so we're going to seat them ahead of you. They sat a party of 7 at a table that would barley seat 5. Anyway disorganized staff, horrible customer service, food...who knows? Regardless I won't give my money to this place ever, I could give two s**** how good the food might be.

Lakeport is a charming, vintage lakeside community located in a recreational/agricultural region east of the capay valley in northern california. The main streets are lined with cafes, small town variety shops and banks. We were looking for some good food while passing through and noticed Park Place was full of happy looking customers. Bonus, it was a warm sunny day and they had an outdoor dining area decorated with festive fall foliage and pumpkins. The waitresses are warm and friendly and greeted us and our dog meebo enthusiastically. I ordered the prime rib, carmelized onion, gorgonzolla panini, a special of the day. Hubby tried smoky turkey melt with carmelized onions and basil aioli. Roasted red peppers and provolone atop the turkey. Yum! His turkey did the flavor dance all over my prime rib. Portions were large and prices low, by san francisco standards, $9-11. Locals were enjoying dessert so i knew we had to try, the carrot cake was outstanding. Nutty and chunky, moist with a creamy cheesy icing. Be happy to visit again, we chatted with the diners surrounding us and to a person they love the area and this restaurant. Enjoy the scenery and the meal at park place in lakeport. Lo

I had dinner at Park Place on the recommendation of a resident of Lakeport while I was in town for business travel. The exterior isn't much to look at, its located adjacent to the lake and near a park that seems to have a mix of families and shady characters - I definitely wouldn't want to be there alone after dark. One of my pet peeves when traveling is the host/hostess saying "just one?", yes, just one, all alone, no one else...sigh. Getting past that...The interior is rather drab and plain, but I was seated at a table with a view of the boat launch and the lake, so that was nice. The menu is varied, from surf and turf to pasta to hamburgers. Prices are very reasonable and portions are large. I was a bit early for dinner, 5:45p, and the staff was very attentive. Bread comes with dinner and I received 4 small cold and hard pieces wrapped in a a napkin with the standard cold butter. I passed. I ordered a local Zin at the recommendation of the waitress and it was quite good..I wish I had written the name down. $7 a glass very reasonable. I had the pesto pasta with fettuccine noodles ($13) because they menu said the noodles were made fresh daily with a side caesar salad ($3). The salad arrived first, the dressing was good, but the romaine was swimming in it and cheese. The croutons were small and difficult to pierce with my folk, but tasted good. The pesto pasta arrived and I could tell it had been sitting for some time...The noodles on top were dry and when I tossed the pasta all the heat underneath steamed out. The flavor was good and the portion was HUGE - family size! Overall the place was good and the price was right.

Service was 4 stars. It was quick and friendly, though they didn't really wow me. It's okay, I don't need to be wowed. The ambiance was 3 stars, I suppose, though I actually kind of liked how 'family' it was. Don't get me wrong, this is no Denny's, but they're not trying to be ritzy. Some pretty good art on the walls, standard Cisco flatware, nicel-cut butcher paper on the tables. Judging on the most-unforgiving San Francisco restaurant scale, the food was mostly 3 stars except for the croissant bread pudding, which was 5 stars. My wife's steak was really excellent, the side vegetables were kind of meh, and my salmon was also kind of meh. The salad was very traditional and simple but was saved from being boring by the fact that they had clearly done it in house; no croutons out of a can.

The food was amazing and deserves a five. The service was slow but they were packed on a Sunday night. We are from out of town and finding a dinner restaurant that didn't require reservations was a challenge. We got seated in 15 minutes and it was packed. Park Place noted that their pasta was freshly made. My meatballs were out of this world so was the lemon cheesecake. I would love to come back and recommend this place to anyone.

This is a really great little spot to eat. The food is always delicious, made with fresh ingredients in house and often sourced locally. The atmosphere is quite nice, clean and happy, and the service is efficient. Positive Points I note that are important to me personally: - The wait staff has always asked if we'd like dessert before bringing my bill. VERY important to me. I don't always want it, but I always want it offered. - The place is very clean. - The wait staff is always able to answer questions about the foods being served, including specials. The service is always polite and efficient. The food is generally always great. The negative. I almost gave 5 stars, but for a few small things. Sometimes their steak had been underdone. I always order it medium-well which should only have the slightest bit of pink in the middle, but it has come very pink, even bordering UNDER medium before. It is also a small older building, and sometimes in the winter it can be a bit cold, and feel cramped. Overall these elements are minor. It is definitely a great spot to eat. .

Came here for lunch and had the fish and chips and a bowl of clam chowder. Hubby got the chicken sandwich and cup of chowder special. We also ordered the gorganzola bread. The gorganzola bread was very good. Love the bread they used and it had ample gorganzola on top. The clam chowder was good, wish they served it with crackers. It's always scary to get chowder since a lot of restaurants seem to mess it up. However the chowder here was good though not one of the best, perhaps a little above average. Would get it again though. The fish and chips came with three fish, fries, and Cole slaw. The Cole slaw wasn't very tasty. The fish were beer battered, served hot. The fish was flaky and had a nice crunchy batter coating. Yum! My husband really loved his chicken sandwich. He couldn't stop talking about how good it was. Friendly service and our waitress was attentive. Food came out in a timely manner as well. Our waitress gave a refill without having to be called over and checked to see if we were doing fine. Decor isn't anything fancy and pretty standard. Wish we could have eaten at the rooftop deck but it was closed off. I recommend reservations if you want a booth. Going to come here for dinner one day soon.

We've been going here on and off for quite a few years. Saturday we arrived too early for their dinner menu, so we chose from their lunch menu. Service here has always been excellent and friendly. I had the clam chowder, and wife ordered fish & chips. The chowder was excellent, fish and chips were ok, but a little greasy - fries were good, coleslaw was utterly tasteless and in need of some salt. We ordered some of their famous gorgonzola bread - that was good, but it seemed the bread was either dry or stale - and that could have been because we were at the end of the lunch service. The same for their garlic bread - it was just too dry. When Clayton was the chef, his food was always a delight. He was genuinely passionate about the food. Since he left, it seems the food has declined. It pains me to give them 3 stars, but I'm just being honest. This has always been a good place to eat and I hope they get their stride back. We definitely will be back, and will still recommend this place to anyone.

7/7 meals were good at the table. We had roastbeef/portabello, smoked turkey sammies, chicken pasta, tortellini pasta, special (cod) fish and chips and pesto tortellini. Consesus was all meals were very good. Service was also very good, friendly and prompt. If you are in Lakeport it is a good place to eat. They do have a small bar too which is always a plus in my book! Lake view from inside/outside dining areas.

Try this place! Great local Italian resturaunt with great views of the park and lake. Sit outside on nice summery days and enjoy the cozy scene. The crab cakes are a definite must. Compliment with a Greek salad. Had I not come from an awesome wine tasting, I would accompany this meal with a nice smooth white wine. I can't think of a better way to spend a beautiful California summer evening with great friends!

Nice cafe right on the lake. Although Lakeport is only a little over an hour away, I have never found myself in that town. My oldest moved there recently, and six of us went to Park Place for lunch. The menu leans toward Italian, but has a nice selection of other cuisines. We started with gorganzola cheese bread (yummy!!!) and our entrees included a hamburger, panko-encrusted fish and chips (a special), beer-battered fish and chips (always on the menu), fettucini Alfredo with prawns, and chicken-and-pesto pizza. Everything was delicious (the crispy fries deserve a special mention -- ranking up there with the best). Service is friendly and efficient, and prices are moderate. I now expect to find myself in Lakeport on occasion, and I can't wait to try some of the other dishes they offer.

We passed by Lakeport on our road trip and had lunch here.We had half sandwich, fish and chips, a little bit disappointed. Except for the nice environment and good service, wondering why this normal food is worth 4 stars. Even the Gorgonzola bread is just warm baked bread with too much salt and cream. Anyway, nothing wrong with this restaurant but nothing special, maybe ppl here are too nice to be picky about restaurants :P

Any place that makes you pay for an entrée that you didn't eat is just ridiculous. Went in with a party of six out of the four steaks we ordered three of them were over cooked. The New York was sent back and since it would take to long go get another one we just asked for it to be taken off. Their response was that since apparently no management or owner works on a Saturday night they couldn't do that and all they could do was offer a free dessert. A free dessert to replace a $26 entrée. You do the math. Apparently service relies on their automatic gratuity that is added On to parties of six or more... Take your money and go elsewhere.

Mediterranean Pasta Salad with Poppyseed dressing with Gorgonzola bread - favorite! Have it about once a year when we travel to Lake County.

We had a great time at dinner yesterday. Even though it was music in the park night and there were tons of people - we got a seat because we made a reservation earlier in the day. With two dogs it makes so easy to have a nice meal when their is a pet friendly patio. They even brought water for our dogs upon request. Service was fast, friendly, attentive and on spot. The food was super yummy!

My first eating establishment in Lake County. Came here on a Sunday 2:00pm and the restaurant was at 70% capacity and got seated right away. Service was good, and food was decent. Food came out at expected pace. My panko fish n chips was above average but my wife's prime rib sandwich was certainly below par...really dry. There are still more places to try in Lake County, so we'll probably won't return any time soon.

Not even the view could make up for the way we felt last night after leaving this restaurant! Service was great and that is the only reason I could even give them one star. My fiance and I both ordered specials. Mine came out and wasn't quite what the menu said, but close enough that I figured I would hope for the best... That was a mistake, the only thing my fiance and I ate in common was the shrimp on top of my steak (which was 30% fat). Within 30 minutes we both felt unbearably sick and you can imagine where it went from there. We were 45 minutes from home, and how we made it back to Ukiah last night was beyond me. Not only was the food sub-par to begin with, it was also pricey for what was served. Disappointing for a holiday, we missed the fireworks (which was the whole reason we went there) and the food sickness just ruined our plans for the night. Not only will we never go back, we won't encourage anyone else to try it either.

Traveling through and this place was recommended as a safe bet. I had a salad with chicken and avocado, my husband had a burger with a side salad. We both liked our meals. Yelp information stated wifi but this is incorrect., also restaurant is not on the water, there is a large parking separating the restaurant from the lake.

Funny, I never really considered this "Italian" but they do make nice housemate pasta. Great place for lunch, one of the best restaurants in Lake County. Lovely views/location. Stop in for a big plate of pasta and a glass of wine, then go walk through the park and enjoy the lake. Whatever you do, DONT feed your leftover garlic bread to the ducks. Feeding the ducks is prohibited ;)

What a disappointment. Took my parents and some friends here for what I hoped would be a nice dinner. Everything about the meal was tragically awful. The waitress was a scatterbrain and everything: bread, napkins, water, extra wine glass, had to be requested multiple times - with each subsequent request for the same item treated with a scowl as if it was our fault not enough wine glasses were brought out initially. The food arrived and the meat was all cooked to well done despite being ordered medium rare. Not surprising that they were overcooked considering that they were serving roughly quarter inch cuts of meat. Even if they had a proper chef, which they clearly don't, I'm not sure what could be done with steaks cut that thin to save costs. And at nearly $30 a plate there's a lot of better options around lakeport. In fact, I can't imagine anyplace could be worse because even if the food was just as bad at least the prices wouldn't be so out of tune for what you get. I gave two stars instead of one because the location is nice right next to the lake. Food and service, however, are sadly lacking.

2.5 stars. - Traditional Italian food: 3/5 - Location : 4/5 great view!!! - Services: 1/5 : the waitresses were trying to take our plates while we were eating and enjoying our food twice. It was very annoying, Just because it is the closing time it doesnt you have the right to treat ur customers like this. We felt like they were trying to get rid of us as quick as possible. We needed to ask for napkins, cheese on pasta and extra bread. This is another "Italian restaurant " with the northamerican style service.

We dropped in tonight because we were looking for a restaurant that wasn't crowded. We got there around 4:30 and we were informed that it wasn't dinner time yet, so we needed to use the lunch menu -- but we couldn't do sandwiches because it was too late for those. I ended up getting a Monterey Burger with Ortega chilis. It was delicious. My wife got the pesto pasta and it was really dry. My daughter got the kids burger and she said it was awful -- "The worst I ever had." She did add that the carrot cake was the best she ever had, however. We had a wonderful waitress who was friendly and accommodating -- and pregnant. She was the redeeming factor for tonight's visit.

Loved, loved, loved my dinner here. My sister and I didn't get into downtown until later in the evening and we were afraid we weren't going to find anything open. We saw they were still open and decided to give Park Place a try. We ended up sharing a salad (which she split for us w/o us asking her to), crab cakes and a flat bread pizza. Everything was delicious and we enjoyed every bite. We had ordered a glass of wine each and they were huge!! We got into a conversation with the waitress and another couple and closed the place up. It is a small place with wonderful food and great vibe. You could say this is even a perfect 'date' restaurant! There is music at the park on Friday evenings and it looked to me that many smart people choose to eat outside and enjoy the music across the street.

Gorgonzola bread is always great, so was the service. The pesto chicken pizzeta was just ok. The best part was the sun dried tomatoes. Unfortunately, I sat by the stairs in 35 degree weather and there's a nasty draft. I had to wear my down jacket to keep warm. You think the waitress would notice this? I'm sure others have had problems with this, and I hope they can add a curtain to help. I will make sure I'm not sitting there next time I visit during the winter.

Overall, very well done. I took a chance and had fried fish, which turned out to be quite nice - flaky, not greasy. The wait staff was friendly, very professional and well dressed. I'd eat there again for sure.

In a county so bereft of restaurants, Park Place has a reliable menu, the food is well prepared and enjoyable. The service is cordial and attentive. Why only 3 stars? well it's not brilliant food, progressive or innovative but definitely good and we never have been disappointed. We don't have that many choices and Park Place is always a good choice.

My husband and I went to the Park Place Restaurant for dinner to celebrate our 2nd Anniversary while we were staying at the Clear Lake Bed & Breakfast this last weekend. We LOVED the food! We didn't make a reservation (will do that the next time we go to the restaurant) so we had to sit at a small table next to the bar and the kitchen, but we thought it was actually pretty cozy, and enjoyed that we were able to talk without having to shout or strain to hear each other (it was very busy and thus rather noisy). Our waitress was nice, friendly, and very helpful, although very busy. On any other night dining at a restaurant we wouldn't have liked the slower-than-customary service, but as it was our anniversary (and our first weekend away without 1 year old son) we enjoyed just talking and spending time together :) The bread that they brought out with our water was warm, fresh and delicious (we think that the waitress said that they bake their bread). We ordered the Gorgonzola Bread (their specialty- SSOOOO good!!) and a cup of New England Clam Chowder which was their soup du jour and very tasty! Then we each had a side salad, one with their house dressing (raspberry poppy seed dressing) and one with bleu cheese; they make their dressings from scratch and they were both delicious. Then I got the Shrimp Scampy (very yummy; had several vegetables in it) and my husband ordered the Rib Eye Steak which came with mashed potatoes and the seasonal vegetable (his meal was good but it was very large cut of meat and a bit too much for him). We didn't have any dessert as we were stuffed after finishing our meals, but the desserts looked great and we would have ordered had we had room. We really enjoyed our time there in the more-'relaxed'-than-'romantic' atmosphere and loved the food! We'll be eating there the next time we visit Lake Port!

With out a doubt, Park Place has the most consistent and best food in Lake County at most importantly an affordable price. I go here probably once a week and am never disappointed. And best of all, the servers are always friendly and responsive to my needs and requests. Check it out for yourself and you won't be disappointed.

One of the better eateries in Lakeport. You're not going to find local, freshly picked, organic produce here, but at the same time, what do you expect in Lake County? The food was decent: I had a club sandwich on a croissant, and my dining companion had a spinach and strawberry salad with feta. Prices and service were also just dandy and we left satisfied. Try and get a patio or rooftop seat for exceptional views of the lake. When and if I am ever in Lakeport again, I would return.

Wonderful place to eat! The staff is top notched and the menu has a variety that appeals to everyone. Prices are kind to your wallet. Great dishes include: pasta, pork chop, fish and chips, and chef's specials. The latest greatest dinner that I had was the ahi citrus salad. I am a "AHi" lover so it was a pleasant surprise to find this on the menu. It was fantastic! Their desserts are awesome too!

Mmmm! Park Place! I only discovered them about 4 months ago, but I look forward to going back. So far I've taken both friends and family there for a nice lunch with a beautiful view. The food is great! I still have a lot of the menu to try, but I look forward to going back and tasting some more. I have yet to be disappointed. Friendly staff, good prices, and quick service. They have good hours, too. I look forward to taking more out-of-town friends to this cute eatery.

The food was the enjoyable part of the experience. The staff was attentive but not personable. Would NOT recommend taking small children based on reactions from other patrons. Make reservations."

Really happy... Service is friendly in a bright atmosphere. Good direction on the menu and fresh fetteccini. Everything is made fresh. Now I know what your asking... why only 4 stars? Well I do have to admit my Alfredo sauce started to break on my plate, as good flavor wise I took texture into account. Still they will see me often and I look forward to my next meal

Just came in for dessert and coffee. I had their strawberry shortcake and let me tell you, I have NEVER had a better strawberry shortcake in my life! From the fresh strawberries, fresh whipped cream, even the shortcake was fresh and airy with a fresh sprig of mint on the side. The coffee was gourmet roasted, so I will definitely be back and enjoy one of the pasta dishes made with homemade pasta. This is a great little spot right near the shore with awesome views. This is THE place to dine in Lakeport!

Nice place with a downstairs and an open deck upstairs. The deck overlooks the lake and the marina with a very nice Thomas Kincaid looking park and Gazebo. We had a group of 25 so they reserved the deck for us and the Oct. weather was great. The service was quick and efficient and the menu had many options. I tried the Shrimp Salad and the Clam Chowder. I was not too thrilled with the chower had a strange taste I could not pinpoint, an herb used I did not like. And the consistency as a bit too thick like wall paper paste. The salad was good, a mix of greens, avacado, tomatoe, shrimp and more. Nice size salad and more reasonably priced then most seafood salads. Everyone else in the group seemed to enjoy their luncheas as well. I would go back if I were in the area.

Downtown Spot on the lake. The Atmoshere is great with the lake and park view. Watch people playing in the park and lake. Busy spot near boat launch. If you are on the lake you can pull up to the park piers, have lunch and be back on the water. The menu is consistent and stays the same. If you want something new check the specials. Very well astablished. Owner's host a free town meal in Upper Lake at the Odd Fellows Hall, I think once a week.

Food and service. Never disappointing. Home made pastas. Great spot on the lake across the street from the park. Outdoor dining. Enjoy.

Awesome waitress named Autumn. Food was hot/cold when it arrived. Of course the hot food was hot and the cold food was suppose to be cold. Raspberry ice tea was perfect. Atmosphere was quaint. Had a great lunch experience.

I've enjoyed every dish I've had from Park Place, and I've eaten there numerous times over the years. I especially like their gorgonzola bread, pesto cream tortellina, and glorioso pasta. If you're looking for a nice sit-down meal in Lakeport, this is one of only a few slightly more "upper-crust" places to go.

Food is always good and they rotate the specials enough to keep it interesting. Definitely one of the best places in lake co.

Always a great meal with great service. Handmade fettuccine in various combinations, all well executed and delicious. The Gorgonzola bread is fantastic and the portions and price make it the best deal in town. You won't be disappointed!

I've been spending quite a bit of time up in Lake County for work and I always come to this place for a bite to eat at lunch. There aren't a ton of options in Lakeport, but Park Place seems to be consistently good. I've tried several of their lunch dishes, including their Garden Veggie Pizza, Bay Shrimp sandwich, and their Mediterranean Pasta Salad. The prices are incredibly reasonable; the service is friendly, and the view of the lake doesn't hurt either. If you're in town and you make it to Park Place, you must try their Gorgonzola Bread. It's full of cheesy garlicky saturated fatty goodness and is definitely worth every bite.

I love their salads, chowders and soups! It is hard to find a good soup making place, I believe it to be real homemade. I have had their entrees as well and I have enjoyed them, too. I am grateful that there is a restaurant like this in Lake County. They are good to their community and seems to be consistent. Something is keeping me from giving it a five. I believe it is time management, however it is worth the wait. Believe me, I had Oso boso and wanted to lick my plate. I bring people there when I want a conversation that can be private as it doesn't feel crowded with good space between seating. It is very close to the marina, just a few yards of walking plus you could come here by boat or enjoy the view. A fun date would be eat here then go to the Friday night concerts in the park. I would make a reservation to make sure you get in quickly, however when there has been a line, we got in a reasonable amount of time..

I wish they still made their pasta from scratch. It used to be sooo much better. I like the Mediterranean Pasta Salad, and a few other things but there full on pasta dishes have disappointed my expectations lately. I enjoy the location tho! They have a new cook that used to cook at Molly Brennan's down the street. I hope he brings some of there old goodness back!

This is our favorite restaurant in Lake County. We are "weekenders" and always try to have lunch or dinner when we are in town. Their Parmesan crusted chicken breast with angel hair pasta is my favorite item on the menu. I've ordered it a number of times and it is always great. We had lunch today and I ordered the California club, turkey, cheese, avocado, bacon & lettuce on a croissant. Their house poppy seed dressing is my favorite house dressing anywhere! Great service and friendly staff.

My wife and I asked the boat rental lady where she would eat and she recommended 3 places. We went to Yelp and decided on Park Place. We had a wonderful experience from the friendly service to the excellent meal. I had the Rib eye which was cooked perfect and my wife the salmon which she loved. We had ordered glasses of wine which were filled above the average pour. My wife was not sure which white she wanted and they provided free samplers for her. I would definitely return here and would go out of my way to eat here.

Just happened to stop in for dinner with a friend and had the most wonderful meal !Started with a yummy Cosmo from the bar, then had this beautiful pizza appetizer with gorgonzola cheese and proscuito ham. We couldn't decide what to order so we split two specials and they were huge. the salmon special and the chicken salad were wonderful. I have dined at Park place many times over the years and the food is always so delicious. They are very creative in their recipes and I love the consistency of knowing whomever I dine with, we will love the food !

Park Place is good California cuisine-great salads, pastas, hamburgers, steaks, etc. Good wine list. My favorite waitress is Rachel. She is the best. Probably the longest lived restaurant in Lakeport for good reason.

We were drawn to this restaurant by other Yelp reviews and we were not disappointed! I had a delicious cedar plank salmon that was cooked to perfection. Our salads were crisp, fresh and beautifully presented. Unfortunately their main AC was out the evening we dined, but it didn't matter - they handled themselves so professionally by apologizing and ensuring that a window unit was presently being purchased and installed. The staff made sure the fans were on and windows were open - and by the time we finished our meals the window AC unit was up and running! The staff was attentive, friendly and very personable. We'll be up in Lakeport again in Oct. and we will definitely make a repeat visit. Oh, one small personal taste comment - we ordered the highly raved about gooey gorgonzola-laden bread...it lived up to it's review but next time we'll request it to be broiled a little longer for crispiness.

We are out of towners who came to Park Place on the recommendation of our hotel. It was a good recommendation. The outside of the restaurant needs a paint job or something, but the inside is very nicely furnished, bright, and clean. A good view of the lake for those seated in that direction. The food was very good -- perfectly cooked, nicely presented, and delicious. My balsamic chicken from the night's list of specials was especially excellent. The service was very friendly and attentive. We look forward to returning to Park Place on our next visit to this area.

A good solid showing. Great customer service. Went for brunch, and couldn't eat in the restaurant due to my sweet but impatient autistic child and dog in tow. We had the classic eggs benedict, which were slightly overcooked but not too bad, and the blintzes, which were excellent. Great sausage, great ice cream, and great service and accomodation with our to go order. I'd go back!

As being someone from out of town I understand that there are few restaurants in Lakeport. That being said the food was still pretty sad. The view is great, really cool outdoor patio but even though I was starving I couldn't finish my pasta. It wasn't awful but it wasn't good either.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
