I usually get a regular GBURGER well done without sauce, but with mustard, lettuce, onions and pickles. Plus an order of fries and a soda. Not cheap compared to lower cost fast food burger joints, but delicious. Definitely worth it. I love their charbroiled burgers. Quite a large mouthful, juicy and tasty. The chicken nuggets are also very good. My son gets these with a fruit punch and he likes them. Overall, great burger place.

I wanted to try this place for a good month now & finally had a chance to try it. My only mistake was thinking the burgers were going to be on the smaller side. Not sure why I thought that from seeing all the photo's but I ordered a double patty bacon cheeseburger. That was just TOOOOO much beef! Other then that, great burger! Excellent fresh meat, toppings were fresh buns were fresh. I can see going here again for sure! But it doesn't beat out my favorite place "The Counter". For those who complain about price, take yourself to McDonalds! You don't eat/taste with your wallet!

More like a 3.5 stars. After hearing how great this place was one Sunday after church my boyfriend and I tried it out. PARKING: It was kind of hard to find but it's on Jamboree on the side with Target etc. It's located in this side square with yogurtland, capriotti's, baja fresh and this other indian restaurant. Plenty of parking. Right across from Lazy Dog cafe. WAIT: No wait around 1:30pm on a Sunday. The inside is actually kind of small though so I could imagine on a busier day it would be harder to find a table. ATMOSPHERE: They actually replaced the dumpling and noodle house that had pretty good jajamyung (sp?) so it was weird coming again but with a different atmosphere. Still 7 or so booths and a high counter in the middle. You order first, then sit down with your number and they bring the food to you. The menu on the board had no descriptions so you have to either get the more detailed menu or walk up to the front. FOOD: I got the caprese burger and white truffle burger. CAPRESE - So good, probably my favorite out of the two. I love avocado and they give you a hefty amount. I asked for medium rare and it came out JUICY. That is definitely one good thing about the burger. The patty is flavorful at first but in places where it wasnt seasoned as well the burger patty itself was not very flavorful, the beef does not speak for itself unlike Father's Office or Umami. In fact, the burger patty wasn't quite as "crumbly" but it was still good. They have a light aioli sauce on the bun with mozzarella cheese, tomato and basil. It definitely tasted like caprese, but with the buttery avocado it was very very tasty. Mmm... WHITE TRUFFLE BURGER - Mushrooms, truffle oil, asiago cheese and roasted red bell peppers. It wasn't as good as my caprese, maybe because it didnt have a fresh taste like the caprese one did. Kinda tasted like a mushroom burger? The cheese was tasty and strong and I did taste the truffle but maybe the mushroom and bell peppers slightly took from the entire burger. But it was still good, haha. My boyfriend and I split half and half but next time I would just get the Caprese. FRIES - Regular seasoned fries. They weren't that good. Thicker cut, which I don't really like and although they were crunchy they remind me of curly fries you get at fast food places or disneyland where they are crusted on the outside and overly seasoned with a orange-y salty coating that makes it crispy. Not just a fresh potato sliced and fried. It had a coating that just put me off. Maybe next time I'll try the sweet potato or garlic parmesan ones, heh. Overall, worth trying and I'll probably be back. The burger did not disappoint and it was tasty and juicy. Just not the best I've had but probably top tier in the medium burger category.

The best burger I've ever eaten hands down. G burger delivers on their promise of a gourmet meal. It isn't your average mayo, onions, tomato stuff. They offer some pretty awesome taste bud action. I recommend the caprese burger and the garlic parmesan fries. I've been to both this location and the la Habra location and didn't feel like there was a huge difference; same good quality and customer service.

Good potential, I can see why people like this place. The bun and the fries earn this spot a solid 4 STARS. The good, the regular fries were really crispy and they had a great taste. I will return just to enjoy the fries again! The BUN!!! OMG the Bun was very good, very soft and great taste. The amazing BUN plus the great selection of toppings makes this hamburger go from a good burger to a great burger! The service was really good too, everyone seems friendly and attentive.

Customer service is always good! Burgers are always fresh, never frozen meat and fresh veggies! Quality and size is just right! Check in for a free drink :)

This place is waaaaaay overpriced. Most burgers and sandwiches are $10-$16. Seriously? Who wants to pay $16 for a burger? On top of that, none of the burgers or sandwiches come with fries or any kind of side. You have to fork out another $2.50 for fries. I decided to get the chipotle chicken sandwich since it was one of the less expensive things on the menu and it looked pretty good. The guy behind the counter asked me if I wanted everything on it; I said yes. But when the sandwich came out (without fries, of course) all it had on it besides the chicken was sauce, tomato, and peppers. I thought that was really weird. Apparently "everything" means "nothing". No lettuce, pickles, onions, cheese, anything. :-/ And to add extra ingredients its $1-3 per ingredient. Seriously, I have to pay another $1 for a flimsy piece of lettuce? You've got to be kidding me. That's just greedy. This place is a ripoff. They basically stack dollars on top of their prices and just take your money because they can. And their food? Really not all that special. On top of it all, as I was eating my chicken sandwich I bit into something crunchy that felt like a piece of bone. If you want a good burger, try someplace else that doesn't rob you blind and barely gives you anything in return.

New spot so thought I'd check it out. Pretty good....except their burgers were INCREDIBLY oily. I'm not sure if it was just the truffle burger that I got (though my friend who got the G Fire burger said the same thing), but when we got the burger we immediately saw the oil running on the plate. Then when you start to eat, the oil just drips and drips. If any of you aren't fans of oily foods .... I really really wouldn't recommend coming here. The burgers were good though. Mine was pretty yummy - could definitely taste the truffles and the mushrooms were a good fit for this. My friends had the G Fire burger that came with a side of chipotle-ish aioli? (can't remember). It said it was spicy ... and they didn't lie. TRUST me. We can handle spicy, but this burger was pretty damn spicy. So just beware. We also got sweet potato fries which were probably my favorite. Came with a side of aioli which is the perfect dipping sauce. This place really would get 4 stars if they cut down on the oil. It was so much that I had trouble finishing my burger. I forced myself to finish because I knew it wouldn't be good if I took it back. The buns were already soggy :/ Like I said, the burgers were good and if you don't mind the greasiness, by all means I'm sure you'd enjoy this. But for me, it wasn't the best. P.S. this place is pretty pricey, which also made me dock a star. definitely not worth the price in my opinion.

"G" Burger is not a good burger. If a burger was a little bit on the pricey end but absolutely delicious, I would not decline. However, G Burger is extremely overpriced for the quality and amount I get. I ordered the White Truffle Burger (9$ without any add-ons) and it was honestly so bland, boring and forgettable. It was just a mediocre patty that tasted like the frozen patties at Wal-Mart, some mushrooms and grilled bell peppers and a slice of cheese. That was really it. It tasted like something I could have easily done at home. Mind you, 9$ is without a drink or fries. So realistically, a burger meal is around 14$ with tax. Nothing about this place was worth it and nothing tasted good. Pass, and go to Slater's 50/50 for a real burger experience with way more add-ons for nearly the same exact price.

Not sure what the "G" stands for but it's definitely not "good" Soggy bread, extremely bland, not worth the money. Wendy's has better burgers than this place

G just means Good. It's a Good Burger. As in "Welcome to Good Burger, home of the Good Burger! Can I take your order?" It's NOT great, as it says on the wall. It can be ginormous, yes, as the G burger looks like it is a foot tall, since we saw someone order it. How would you even eat that thing? With a fork? OVERALL: 3.5 stars. Rounded down to a 3. SERVICE: 4/5 My fiance and I both ordered the meat cooked MEDIUM. His burger came out with no pink at all. And mine came out VERY pink. Seared on the outside, but very pink all throughout. I was not able to take a picture, due to my greasy hands. My fiance and I both agreed that it looked medium rare. I rarely send food back, I prefer not to. But I wanted to know why both burgers were cooked differently. Perhaps his or mine was a mistake. So we called the attention of the server, who confirmed my burger was medium. She then called another server, who then called the cook. Apparently, that was their medium, and my fiance's was probably cooked medium well. or well done. The cook gladly offered to take mine back to cook, I wanted to make sure it wasn't a problem. So he did, and I saw my burger being recooked through the glass window. My burger came back pretty much well done. I appreciate the pleasant staff and service, however, it seems like the cooking might be a little inconsistent. FOOD: White truffle burger - 3/5 The grilled portobello mushrooms were a great addition to the beef, but I could hardly taste the Asiago cheese. The roasted red bell peppers seemed a little bit much on the burger, and appeared to overpower the garlic aioli. Also, the burger became soggy after 2 bites. The bread appeared to dissolve as I held it in my hand, became drenched in the juice greasiness of the meat and the mushrooms. It's almost as if the burger becomes uglier every time you take a bite. Cheeseburger - 3/5 With cheddar cheese. Tasted fresh like In N Out, however, was soggy after 3 bites. Appears juicy, but very greasy as well. Onion rings - 3/5 Nice and large, but very greasy. After a few rings. And the ranch dressing provided is not enough. Fries - 4/5 Well-made, slightly large cut. Not overly salty. G Burgers are cheaper than Umami. But I would prefer paying the Umami price, if I wanted a gourmet burger.

4.5 stars Arguably the best burger I've had in this area. White truffle burger. Meat was cooked to perfection. I had no complaints at all. I'll try to come back when I can. Update: Just realized there's a G Burger closer to my residence in West Covina. Hopefully it'll be as good.

This was by far the best burger I've had. I got the garlic spinach burger.added an egg...explosions of.flavors in my mouth, I wasn't ready. My sissy got the white truffle burger added bacon I will.definitely get that next time. The onion.rings and beer battered zucchini were light crispy and.fresh. these burgers are a bit on the high end but worth every penny

I came here with my gf a few months ago about an hour before closing and the restaurant was pretty empty. Both of us ordered our burgers medium as they recommended but they were definitely on the rare side. We both ended up feeling sick after and will probably not be going back. I guess this is what I get for cheating on In n Out.

  • Geeyoung L.

I got the Caprese burger and I thought it was pretty good. I really enjoyed how it didn't feel like a "dirty" burger, but felt more clean and fresh. The avocado blended really well with all the flavors of the burger. The french fries were okay; they were very crunchy and felt too oily for my taste. Overall, I would try out other burgers too, but their Caprese burger was delicious!

My love Burger in Irvine, the only one I came again and again. You must try the "Fire" one which is super hot, people there are also very nice and gentle to help. Excellent Burger place!!!

The first time I came here, I looked at the menu and decided to eat elsewhere. But after looking at the Yelp pictures and reviews, I decided to try this place. Boy, am I glad I did! The burger patty was 100% beef, cooked medium-well, exactly as I ordered it. The presentation of my CAPRESE burger was exactly as it is on all of the pictures, the top bun slid over so i could see inside; the avocado, basil & mozzarella cheese, tomato, and garlic aioli. The bun had an excellent flavor as well. I can't say enough. This place is excellent and I highly recommend the CAPRESE BURGER. Inside, the restaurant was VERY CLEAN and they quickly cleaned off tables as people finished. Excellent decorating - very nice interior - and awesome entire-wall picture of Detroit (according to a movie in the picture, we decided it must have been 1917).

Came here for The G Burger. I was happily pleased. The patties were of good size and thickness and nicely cooked, and of course the burger was massive. That's always good. My girlfriend got the truffle burger and fries. She especially enjoyed the fries.

I was just browsing yelp, looking for an interesting place for dinner, and I realized I had almost forgetten about this place. Not sure why I haven't been there in a while, but it is really good. With in-n-out being as popular as it is, it's nice to see a TRUELY high end fast food burger. These burgers really stand out from the average burger. A bit on the pricey side, but good meat costs. Although I'm not much on the veggie thing, a friend commented she liked these. I'll stick with any of the regular selections, with a side of parmesan fries. Enjoy!

Came here for lunch on a Saturday. Ordered the white truffle burger with a side of fries. This was honestly, one of the best burgers I've ever had. If you feel like being a beast, order their $15 G-Burger that literally has every topping on it.

Not bad, not bad at all. Some friends and I had lunch here last Friday. We met at 12:30 and the place was busy, but we were still able to grab a booth. Although this place may have gourmet burgers, you have to stand in line, place your order, and get a number. They have hamburgers, cheeseburgers, white truffle burgers...and a few more options. I love truffle burgers, but wasn't in the mood for something quite as heavy. So I got the cheeseburger with cheddar. We also ordered the onion rings, sweet potato fries, and the G fries. My burger was very tall. And it was pretty good! The sweet potato fries were decent and the onion rings were ok. I barely had the G fries. Too heavy for me, but probably a teenage boy's dream. Service was great. All the workers were nice and smiley. I will be back.

Can't say anything bad about this place. The fire burger ROCKS! The parm fries are tasty. The onions rings were crisp and delicious. The service is very friendly. We've been here a few times and my first time there was a line and the register gal took the time to make sure I understood the menu and got what I wanted. Most places rush you through if there's a long line. My wife had the regular G burger and loved it. Our youngest child had a chicken kids menu and we were very satisfied at the kids meal. Clean, tasty, G for Gosh darn good!

What a delicious burger! The meat is delicious and you can taste the quality. The bread is bomb. Definitely gotta try this place

Came here for a simple dinner yesterday. this place is similar to another burger joint called The Counter - but much more simpler and much less variety - which is nice sometimes because then you wouldn't have to spend so much time deciding what to get. One look at the menu and I knew I had to try the Truffle burger and my boyfriend tried their Caprese burger and we shared a side of garlic Parmesan fries. I really enjoyed my burger - however it was dripping with grease. My bf's burger wasn't as greasy - as a matter of fact it was pretty healthy and grease-less. Overall pretty good burger place - simple and delicious and not super pricey for gourmet burgers.

I am typically never one of the first ones to check out a new restaurant. It's been probably a few months since G Burger has opened and so many Yelpers have been talking about it. Well, today seems like the perfect day to check it out. Firstly, I have a major craving for a burger today; and I'm also in the area to get some shopping done from Target and Total Wine. THE BURGER: I ordered the regular cheeseburger today. The burger was top notch. No doubt about it. My first bite into it and I could taste its juiciness. I ordered it well done and it was still very juicy. The quality of the meat is superb and I could taste the difference. It was assembled beautifully with an exotic blend of lettuce, pickles, red onions and 2 thick and fresh slices of tomatoes (see picture). It came with a thousand island type of dressing which was delicious. To make it a prefect burger, the bun was toasted and hot - call me picky, but hamburger buns need to be toasted until the inside is golden brown and the outside is hot to the touch. The bun I got today was exactly that. Bravo! THE FRIES: The fries were hot and fresh from the fryer to my table. Call me picky again, but the perfect fries should be hot to the touch - if you pick them up you'll feel like they are almost burning your fingers. They were nicely seasoned and they were yum! The portion was very large and I could not finish them.. In retrospect, I probably didn't need to order the fries since the burger was a very good size one. Unless you eat like a hungry football player, an order of fries can amply be shared with 2 - 3 or more people. Awesome! SERVICE: Service has been great. I was greeted warmly immediately after I entered the store and was offered a menu. The cashier and the servers were all cool and pleasant. Service has been good throughout and at least 2 servers checked on me to see if I need anything. Great! PRICES/VALUE: There are many other higher priced burgers from $9 to I think $16 and I never had those so I cannot comment on their values. I had a cheeseburger today which was a very good sized burger, comparable to those from Islands or similar restaurants. Cheeseburger + fries + drink = a combo = $9.95. It is slightly on the pricey side but I'll call it fair based on 2 factors - the high quality and the large portions. Good! OTHERS: When I was there today there was a sign on the restroom door that said something like the lock is not working and "pee at your own risk." First off, the language is really not professional. I have been to countless restaurants and have never seen wordings like this. Close down the restroom or fix the lock. When was the last time you've been to a restaurant and found the restroom door lock not working? Not cool! Nevertheless, I'll be back real soon to try their other burgers.

Amazing fries. Burgers here are better than smashburger, fives guys etc. try the caprese or chili burger. Cheese burger also good. Near the Baja Fresh Be careful when ordering the g burger. It's huge and can feed 3 people

First off, I love the marketing - Glorious,G-licious, Gigantic, Ginormous, G-everythang Burger. First time here and I am impressed. Burgers are fresh and made to order (10-15 min). Customer service was great and prompt. $7-10 dollars for a glorious packed burger. Expensive but add the free fries and soda with yelp check-in offer and you've got yourself a decent price. Burger was delicious and that patty was glorious. I'll be back for s'more G burger!

This was a good burger. It maybe wasn't the kind of burger you go out of your way for again, but it was very good. And that's coming from someone who eats at any new burger place he can find. The menu has a few regular options along with the ability to make your own customized burger. I don't like to pile my burgers full of too much, so I ordered a cheeseburger with bleu cheese, no 1001 sauce. I'm not much of a fry guy so I passed on those. It's a very fresh, juicy burger. I don't like a burger cooked more than medium, which is the default for these. The bleu cheese had a sharp, distinct flavor. It was definitely the good stuff, not some cheap processed stuff. The bread & butter pickles added a nice bite during the aftertaste. This isn't a place I'd rave about, but like I said if you're near one of their locations and in the mood for a burger you're going to get good quality foodstuffs. A few of their signature offerings seemed to be priced a bit too high - burger places seem to think ground beef is a rare commodity these days or something - so just go with a simple, standard pick with a couple choices toppings and it'll be all good.

Story: I heard about this place from my co-worker. She prefers this place as oppose to Umami burger. Hearing a burger joint in the same sentence as a Umami I was intrigued to check it out. After my experience the styles of Umami and G Burger are too different to compare, like apples and oranges. This place still can be compared to Irvine's famous local Mick's Karma Bar, but it definitely has it's own advantages to Mick's. Ambiance: The restaurant is inspired by art after the Great Depression. You will see old model airplanes along with a huge mural of Chicago back in the days. In the background you will hear your modern music like Ke$ha, Rihanna pop music. The place spaces about 20-25 people. Food: Onion Rings -Pretty huge and a decent amount of onion rings. A good classic appetizer to start your meal. If you are bored of your typical ranch serving, ask for one of their secret sauces. Beer Battered Zucchini (Recommended) -Another good classic appetizer. Similar to the onion rings, give their other sauces a try. White Truffle Burger -The bun is slightly grilled and my meat was cooked to well done. The flavors mixed well as it definitely isn't your everyday burger. I personally enjoyed adding siracha for some extra kick. G Fire Burger (Recommended) - I am a person that prefers a good kick to a burger. Alongside with the well cooked burger the peppers gave it that spice that made the burger extra enjoyable. Customer Service: Our server was knowledge about our menu she gave great recommendations of what was popular. In about 5 minutes, we received our orders. Overall: This spot earns 4 stars. The food was delicious, service exquisite, but no desserts. G Burger definitely gives other burger shops a run for its money. Quality meat and unique flavors are usually a great combo. I could see myself coming back here in the near future. Advice: -On the healthy grind? Ask for a protein style (no bun, replace with lettuce) -Free small drink for checking in on Yelp!

Do you take prime ribeye steaks and grind them down yourself? Imagine the best backyard/tailgate burger you ever had ... remember the explosion of flavor as you bit into that juicy burger with the slight pink center. Remember you rolling your eyes as your mouth sent signals to your head that felt like fireworks on the fourth of July? Well, get your taste buds ready 'cuase you will want to check out the burgers here! Ever since I took that first bite, just two weeks ago, I've been here like 6 times! In the order of what I enjoyed the most: - the White Truffle Burger (Portobello mushrooms, roasted red bell peppers, asiago cheese, truffle oil and garlic aioli) - the Caprese burger (which had buffalo mozzarella & garlic aioli); I added a fried egg - the Cheeseburger w/ American cheddar and avocado slices - the sliders (think mini cheeseburgers) - the Garlic Spinach Burger (sautéed spinach, hickory bacon & bleu cheese) All of them were amazing burgers, but the White Truffle Burger really stood out and hit that sweet spot! I didn't talk the entire time while eating that burger, other than the moans after each savory bite! My next quest is to tackle the G Fire Burger. But wait, don't just get a burger. Oh no, you must try their sides... The garlic parmesan fries are amazing, full of garlic & fresh parmesan that is devine! And the onion rings? They go for traditional crumbs and a high oil temp to flash these puppies just perfectly, so they are crisp and not soggy. Oh and for those zucchini fans, you won't be disappointed; the huge bag of crunch zucchini fries are amazing (but temp hot too so be careful). This place is just too good ... I just need to make sure I hit the gym ... to help offset all this goodness!

I was super excited to find another burger place to try in the Irvine-Tustin area! First off, I really appreciated the staff's helpfulness and friendliness since my friend and I were new. Helped us pick out an appropriate amount of food (otherwise we would have ordered wayyyyyy too much). Together we ordered the G Burger and the G Fries. The G Burger is a monster of a burger, and I recommend sharing it with someone. I'm pretty sure I could have finished it myself, but would probably end up regretting it lol. It's 2 pounds of meat with every single topping that they have. To be honest, I think having too many toppings takes away from what should be the star, the meat. I think the meat was pretty great, but having too much of it took away from appreciating it. (Maybe I'm just too spoiled from the Playground). The G Fries were nothing to brag about. Don't recommend getting it to be honest. I hear sweet potato fries here are amazing though. Overall, the taste was pretty solid, and I will be coming back to try the other burgers that caught my attention. However there are a few things on the menu like the fries that don't seem to match up to what you would expect.

After a hard workout over at the 24 hour fitness down the street and we decided to go over to g Burger for burgers and french fries. Upon arrival we were greeted by Bill explained to us that their specialty was the burger even though we were in the mood for chicken. All three of us got the Cheeburger I got mine medium well done and it was outstanding bill to the trouble to return to our table just to deliver ranch ketchup and mustard and extra napkins and he was very pleasant and we will come here again thank you so much.

Never coming back. This was my second visit to G Burger in Irvine. I really enjoyed it the first time and thought it deserved a repeat trip. The true test of a good restaurant is consistency. I was hoping for the same experience on my second visit. However I was severely disappointed. I ordered my burger medium, it came out well done. Upon further inspecting my burger, I found a huge avocado peel in my burger. I brought this to the attention of the staff and they said, they don't know why the chef put the peel in the burger. I also pointed out that the burger was well done rather than Medium. The staff made no offer an exchange, they just had the attitude of "oh well". I really should have insisted on a remake, but took the burger as is, removed the avocado peel and consumed it. Along with my burger, I ordered fries and breaded zucchini. Both of which came out with a little too much salt. The other people in my party weren't too impressed with the quality of the burgers and we almost unanimously agreed that the next burger run is going to be at In N Out.

An artifice! Imagine, if you will, a baked potato as finger food. You cannot imagine such an anomaly? Well, there is a fry for that...the Parmesan Garlic Fries. Delightful deposits beckoning indulgence and sweet anticipation, the White Truffle Burger is prepared with 100% fresh Angus beef, grilled portobello mushrooms, roasted bell peppers, asiago cheese, white truffle oil and garlic aioli. Unctuously suffused savory splendors, the burger requires unadulterated regard. Falsification of the rectangular logs of fries were astoundingly alarming. The edges of the fries are reminiscent of the skin from a young baked potato - taut and leathery, and the nucleus a mashed potato. The smell is intoxicating but the texture, in spite of appearance, is a ruse...detracting from the entire experience. Breaded onions rings are crispy and entirely too good, especially with the side of ranch dressing. No beer or wine. The callousness of subterfuge.

I think I started out wrong when I didn't order a burger. It was my first time here and I ordered the grilled chicken sandwich. The sandwich was not too bad but I was not a big fan of it. I thought it would be the healthier choice but instead it was smothered in sauce and there was just way too much chicken on the bun. The customer service here was awesome. The lady that took my order was so positive and always smiled. She was super helpful too. We had 9 people in our group and all of the food came out in a timely manner. Try the G fries! It's like animal fries on crack and it's amazing!

From a 23 year old male perspective w/ a large appetite A little on the pricey side for burger joint. I bought parmesan garlic fries + a fire burger and that put me back 15$. Amittedly, the food tasted great but for the price I was not totally full after my meal. Plus, the burger was a little bit on the oily side. Service was fast and the restaurant is clean but there's other restaurants like the Counter that have equally as many customization options and fancy fries for a little less money. Questionable if I would return to try some of the other burgers on their menu

I ordered myself the White Truffle Burger and it was awesome. My co-worker and I shared the G Fries and honestly while the toppings were good, the fries themselves were very ok. They definitely aren't a must try like the burger is. Overall my only complaint was the guy working the counter. He asked how I wanted my burger cooked and when I said medium rare he just replied with "well it's going to be bloody" and I don't know why I was just annoyed by that. Like if you don't recommend something I feel like you should be more suggestive like "we strongly recommend the burger cooked medium" or something along those lines. Anyway, it's worth a try!

We moved to Irvine 2 years ago and when G Burger opened.. my burger life changed.. I have had every burger on the menu... Bacon Pepper jack cheeseburger with peppers on the side is my fav.. bleu cheese burger is wifeys... Good thing there is a trail behind the G.. Walk it off so I can go get another.

I eat at G Burger at least one a week. I work at Tustin Mazda and my name is Harvey Garte. A bunch of us get burgers or salads from G Burger and we absolutely think that they have the best burgers, fries, onion rings and salads anywhere.

I'm not sure why this place exists. The quality of the food is fine, but you can find better burgers and/or lower prices at dozens of other locations scattered throughout Southern California. If you need a burger, want something superior to In-N-Out, and have money you're eager to separate yourself from, this is an AWESOME place. Pro Tip: Bring a jacket. When we were there, the restaurant was probably colder than the walk in.

Always nice when a place allows coupons and does Yelp deals, especially when they let you use them together. Not sure if it is the best burger ever as some rate, but it is good, fresh, and a tasty burger. Garlic parmesan fries are pricey, but tasty. Been here 2x, will be back whenever we have a coupon.

Came here with my husband after hearing about all the great reviews. We were slightly disappointed. Had a Yelp check-in offer for fries which we never received (thought our burgers came out first and never got the fries). The burger was just decent. My husband and I are big fans of grass fed beef and bison and our burgers were so overly greasy, worse than McDonald's. Within 10 minutes of eating my husband's stomach was upset from the food. I'd love to come back and give it another try because there are so many other items to try out, but I don't think it'll be our first choice for our next dinner out.

One of my friends always recommends G Burger as being one of the best, but that was unfortunate because there was only a G Burger out in Brea. But now, there's one in Irvine! Note: I don't think you can really compare G burger to in-n-out. In-n-out is for sure the biggest bang for the buck. But G Burger is sort of in a different category: possibly a higher end burger? It's located in sort of a food court area in Tustin Marketplace. Plenty of parking and if you can't sit inside, there are plenty of seating outside. I don't think there was a long wait because they just opened this past Sunday, and we were able to order within 5 minutes, but one thing we did notice is that it took a bit longer to get our food. I think as long as the burger is good...they can take their time making it. I just ordered the regular cheeseburger with the g fries, and added grilled onions. When the burger came out, it didn't seem that filling, but I would learn later. What had me like salivating was the juice from the patty just dripping down. And as I started to eat the burger(After I took a pic of course), I think their burgers work well. The buns are soft and warm, they kind of turn mushy near the end, but not to the point where they're breaking off. But I think what impressed me the most was the quality and taste of their patty. I ordered medium rare, and I got medium rare. Awesome burger. Cheeseburger $9 G fries were like their version of in-n-out's animal style fries, but with bacon I think? They were good, just thought they were a bit salty and don't think I would've been able to finish it on my own. One note to the shop, not a complaint is that my friend added teriyaki onions, and didn't really taste the teriyaki? Just tasted like regular grilled onions. Definitely not a complaint, because they make great burgers here.

I always have to try something new because, after all, life is short and a cheese burger is just a cheese burger. Instead, I tried the White Truffle Burger. Didn't know what I was in for and this burger was phenomenal! Angus beef with grilled portobello mushrooms, roasted red peppers, asiago cheese, white truffle oil and garlic aioli. All the burgers come on a high rise bun, which I have never hear of and it didn't disappoint either. I had a side of onion rings and these were the best I have ever had. It might have been the flavor of the batter, or the thick onion itself or that it was fried to perfection. I'm hooked and look forward to trying the other burgers. With a side of onion rings of course!

I guess I'm in the minority but I did not love G Burger. Friend and I found easy seating (it was early, like 5:30). I chose the Rosemary Turkey burger with sweet potato fries; my friend got the regular burger. Food came out as expected (time wise). Mine was made as ordered (with pickles), but my friend's was a bit bloody (not how she wanted it), so it was sent back to be re-done. It came out the right way this time around. Depending on how you make it, it can be towering and hard to eat! I just wasn't impressed. The turkey burger was alright but nothing too special about it. I finished it but wasn't particularly satisfied. The sweet potato fries weren't crispy enough or warm enough. I probably won't be back.

I've found my new favorite burger joint! My wife and I were walking near the food court in Tustin Marketplace and decided to try G Burger. The interior ambience was nice and cozy. The décor was modern and cool. I got their cheeseburger($6) with bacon($2). My wife got their veggie burger ($6) with avocado($1). We got one with the combo(fries and drink for $3.95). My burger came out first. It was a artistic masterpiece! It was beautiful. It was a gourmet burger loaded with toppings with 2 thick pieces of bacon sticking out. Wow! My wife's burger was attractive but not like mine. I loved the soft texture of the buns. The meat was thick and super juicy, but not overwhelming. The bacon was super thick and had a nice crunch. The lettuce, tomatoes and onions balanced the burger with fresh crispness and in a word: AWESOME! As good as the burgers at Unami and Bachi are, this place is much better in my humble opinion. My wife said her veggie burger was the best she's ever had. The fries were seasoned and nice and crispy. Perfect. Workers stopped by the table several times asking us if we needed anything and taking away our finished baskets. Another wow factor. Overall, I was simply blown away by my dining experience here. From their excellent gourmet burgers to perfect fries to their great customer service, it's hard to find a flaw here. Highly, highly recommended!

Good fast food! The burgers are tasty here and they actually ask you how you want yours cooked. So if you ask for medium it actually comes out hot, juicy & still a bit pink in the middle, not an overcooked hockey puck. I've had the White Truffle Burger & the Caprese Burger & both were very tasty. The sweet potato fries with chipotle aioli are delish too!

Pretty good burgers. Even better fries! I got the G Fire burger ($9). The very nice cashier made sure I knew that the burger was really spicy. CHALLENGE ACCEPTED. The burger was definitely spicy, especially with the spicy aioli that comes with it. It was quite greasy, though. Vegetarians and seekers of lighter fare, don't fear because they have plenty of options for you too. Tip: hold your burger upside down to prevent the thin bottom bun from getting soggy! Their fries, especially the sweet potato fries, are truly incredible. Well-seasoned, very crisp on the outside and nicely cooked on the inside. Perfection. There are a variety of sauces you can dip them in. This place is pretty expensive, but the burgers are mean and the service is great! Don't forget to get a side of sweet potato fries ($4).

Burger patties are thick and juicy...not your tiny McDonald sized patties. Ordered the white truffle burger. Tasted delicious with a fried egg on it. Truffle taste was there but for only $9 dont expect it to really taste like white truffles. Downside is the burger is pretty sloppy to eat with all the sauce and egg yolk dripping down all over your fingers so I am knocking one star off for this. Highly recommend the fried zucchini sticks. Ten times better than Carls Jr ones with a lot less oil.

We were driving down from LA to an event at Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre and had a burger craving. I was surprised to not see any trendy craft-beer-plus-gourmet-burger offerings on Yelp. Hubby decided he could live without beer so we ended up here. Didn't have high expectations as this joint is located in the giant Market Place in Irvine...the epitome of OC one-stop shopping. But I was very pleasantly surprised! I'm a sucker for truffle anything and I've gotten my husband into it too, so we both got the white truffle burger. In addition to the oh-so-satisfying truffle oil, this burger comes packed with scrumptious Portobello mushrooms, asiago cheese, and garlic aioli. It comes standard with grilled red peppers which my husband got but I substituted for grilled onions. We were both thrilled with the meal! One of the juiciest burgers I've ever had, great truffle flavor and so many mushrooms! The regular fries and sweet potato fries were both good too...nice and hot, crispy on the outside, soft on the inside. Wish this place was closer! I'll be sure to remember it when I am behind the Orange curtain again.

FOOD IS AMAZING- I love the rosemary turkey burger! it's huge and so tasty. I have been here many times and I couldn't be happier! Friendly service. If you want a $5 and 30 second turn around don't come here, things are fresh and you pay for what you get! TRY IT!

Great staff and always delicious food. I always order pick up over the phone because they do tend to take awhile to serve the food. I am in love with the Cobb salad, the grilled chicken is probably the best I've had on a salad.

This place is FANTASTIC - I'm a burGer snob and this is now my 2nd favorite burger around. It's got that fresh off the grill taste and the buns taste like freshly baked bread. I got the white truffle burger, the garlic fries and the sweet potato fries. All of it was delectable! Highly recommend.

The g burger fries is good. I liked it better than animal style fries at in n out due to more onion and it's fries are seasoned fries. Very artery clogging though. You can't go wrong with any burger at this place. It is all good.

This was on my go-to list for quite some time and I *really* wanted to love it, but it was a missed steak..... GET IT?! Sorry, terrible pun. It was actually just okay. I ordered the regular hamburger with glazed onions ($.50) and a fried egg ($1). Ladies, there's just no clean way to eat these things, you just have to go all in and smell like a greasy mess afterwards. Just don't go on a first date, that's for sure. The fries were a big hit. I love garlic parm anything and their garlic parm fries were delicious. It's a huge order so you can definitely split split with friends. Unless you have a picky husband like I do who wanted sweet potato, then you wind up with 4 pounds of fries from two orders. I wouldn't consider this gourmet at all, but the prices weren't terrible for the quantity.

I didn't anticipate much from this small, counter service establishment; however, in our 2 visits within the same week, we found the burgers tasty -- and impressively, cooked as ordered. I've tasted the Cheese Burger and the G Fire Burger; I heard that the White Truffle Burger was delicious. Personally, I wasn't impressed with the fries; I found both the regular and garlic parmesan fries a bit bland and limp. I did, however, enjoy the crisp Onion Rings and big sticks of Beer Battered Zucchini! Both served just out of the fryer. I appreciated seeing those who handled food wore plastic gloves. I'm not ecstatic about the atmosphere in their confined dining area, having only 1 restroom, it being counter service (especially given some of their burger prices), the counter staff not being very knowledgeable on their menu items, and no option to order wine; however, they offer a tasty burger... for a (higher) price.

I came here around 12:45pm on a Saturday. Ordered a cheese burger with grilled onions and sharp cheddar Gf ordered the spinach garlic burger with a side of Garlic Parmesan fries and a fountain drink. Whenever eating greasy food, I always want a diet coke. Btw, why don't more restaurants have coke zero? It tastes much better than diet coke. /random tangent Had a free coupon for the cheese burger and the bill came out to be around $19.. Wow, that's not cheap for a burger, fries, and drink. The line inside was not extremely long however it wasn't short. The wait for the food seemed to take forever but when the food came out it was hot and good. My burger was absurdly tall so it made it somewhat difficult to eat. A knife and fork simply made it worse. Maybe it's my knife skills, I don't know! On to the review... The spinach garlic was very strong in garlic, the gf loved it. The fries had a nice crunch consistency with plenty of garlic and Parmesan. I only had a couple of bites but they were fantastic. The cheese burger was very good other than being a mess. There were pickles, grilled onions, sharp cheddar, lettuce, and red onion. The patty was thick so you get a decent amount of protein. The burger was very juicy. Other than the wait, the burger was very good albeit pricey. Lastly, FYI, it is in the Target plaza next to Natraj at the Tustin Marketplace oops now named The Marketplace (probably because Irvine Company doesn't think Tustin has the same panache, whatever the reason I'm pretty sure it's calculated or involves feng shui).

I love a good burger good burger and this place does not disappoint! They cook the burger to your request which is rare at smaller places like this. I usually just get the regular cheese burger with Sweet potato fries. For me the only place that beats this one is Rider's club in San Clemente.

I usually go to the original Gburger in lahabra and Im happy to see the place is expanding to new locations- it's too good to not share with other cities! What's not to love about gburger quality burgers, awesome additional topping choices, delicious sides! Im really surprise they have anything less than 5 stars. You guys have to give new businesses time to settle before making any judgments. The owner is the same as the other locations so I know within a few months everything will be perfected. Honestly, Gburger is one of/if not the best burger place I've ever been to! 5 star joint for sure

We have gone to G burger about 8 times since it has opened. If you get your order on time the food is great. The burgers are great and the onion rings are also great but their service is very uneven and that can affect the food. We usually get our order to go so while I am waiting for our order I can see behind the counter and it is usually very chaotic. The seem to always be scrambling and never sure what they have put in a order. Last Sunday night was a disaster for my family. They had lost an order in front of me and were scrambling to fill that again, they gave that customer a coupon. I had asked if my order was ready and they acted as though I was interferring with their ability to correct the misplaced order they were working on. I waited another 10 or 15 minutes and noticed they were giving out orders that came after mine. I again asked if my order was ready and this time they checked an order that had been sitting for at least 15 minutes and said that was mine. When I got it home the entire order was cold and greasy. Two cold and greasy cheeseburgers, two cold and greasy orders of onion rings - $29.00. We are going back to In N Out and will also try the new Islands when it opens.

Wish they would put the price on the menu board -- would be helpful. Not knowing the price of the burgers, it's "add-on's" and sides and you'll end up with a meal that'll cost you. I'd compare their burgers to The Counter. Burgers are good ... just a wee bit pricey.

So after trying a variety of their offerings I can honestly say their burgers are top notch. Im guessing the G in G-Burger must stand for gourmet as the place has a definite look and impression of a small gourmet burger joint. Service was friendly and informative for a virgin G-Burgerer like me. If you are looking for a realistic alternative or just a change from reliable ol In n Out or the decadent Counter Burger, this is a good choice. The buns are clarified butter-toasted and the char on their burgers (chicken or beef) is just the right amount. Their sauce and choice of lettuce blends work well together between the buns. Choosing between regular (which comes with garlic+herbs) and sweet potato fries is tough to decide as both offer a very different experience but are both very good. Didn't get to try their veggie burger as they were out, lets hope they can iron out these little hiccups soon as this place actually has potential. A little on the pricey side but you know what, I don't mind paying for good tasting, local variety so this place is well worth a visit.

My first impression of this place was based off of its name which was not a good one. After reading the reviews, we couldn't help but have to try it. High quality burger and excellent service. I had the cheeseburger and the hubby had the fire burger - both were excellent. The staff came around several times to make sure we were content and didn't need anything else. Prices were cheap as well.

I loved the hamburgers. The first time I went I had a salad which was okay, but I kept seeing the burgers and wanted one. I shared one with my friend and it was outstanding. We ordered a cheeseburger with avocado, and the friends with cheese on top. I could not have been happier. Probably the best burger I've had in a long time! It tasted like it came straight off a backyard barbecue. Just delicious!

The food was excellent, the experience was average. Now, I must preface by saying I'm a Five Guys fan, where I've always gotten a great customer interaction to compliment their in-store experience. G Burger doesn't quite have that...yet. It's a cool-looking chain graphically, like a hip little quick-service burger bar. Very black, red, wood and steel. Alas, the staff looked tired and rather disinterested today (it happens). But if you're not into it, I probably won't be either. That being said, they served me an outstanding restaurant-style burger. I had the Cheeseburger with sharp cheddar cooked medium. It came with arugula, lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles and dressing on a toasted bun. Nothing out of place here, PERFECT Angus beef burger that would put most other restaurant burgers to shame ($6). I also tried the fried zucchini which was hot, crispy and delicious($5). I'm glad G Burger has moved in, and I'll probably get it again sometime. But something is missing in the culture there that makes me want to call myself a big fan. Time will tell--I'll be watching you, G Burger.

If I could, I'd give 4.5 stars bc someone put love into making these burgers which are really hefty. My husband and I could only eat half. I got the cheeseburger with bacon and fried egg. My husband got the spinach burger which came with crumbled blue cheese and bacon bits. We also shared parmesan garlic fries w/ G burger seasoning (tastes like curly fry seasoning). No drinks. All together it was $25. Order up front , you sit and they bring your food out. Pretty quick service, staff was ok. My only complaint is there is no beer! This area gets congested so park around the corner by the BofA if u can't find parking.

Located near Class 302 in the District? (Actually not even too sure)- past Bryan tho on Jamboree, G Burger is there with a simple menu to serve you delicious burgers. G Fire Burger ($9)- 100% angus beef & pepper jack cheese. Red & green chiles, grilled onion, roasted bell peppers, house spicy aioli on side. Man is it spicy. It's spicy, leaks a lot of juices, and will make you USE the free Yelp check in of a soda. I got it medium rare and it was indeed medium rare- red was still in the middle of the meat, making the angus beef even more delicious and NOT dry. The red and green chiles were really strong :P It was a really good flavor, picante, strong, flavorful as well. It's something that you can slowly eat if you really like hot stuff, or you can eat quickly if you're like me and just need the fire to go away (I'm not really that much on the fire scale for my tongue). Good flavorful, and the cheese... mhm mhm mhm. Probably fattening. But when it goes down, you forget it (:

Have been to this place numerous times before finally writing the review !! Love their burgers here, great for quick lunch .. Food is always fresh with delicious flavors .. The portions are significantly larger than the La Habra location, and I'm sad to say the bread was all wrong... This turned out to be a short lived excitement as I bit into my first tantalizing bite. The flavors, at first, were good and reminded me of the burger in La Habra. Later I realized it was definitely the mayo sauce. However, after eating a few more bites, the fantasy quickly faded and I was left forcing myself to shove it down. I ended up just taking the bread off to eat the patty and mushrooms, but still, at the end, I couldn't muster enough of my appetite to finish it. The fries were as expected, I think the portions were slightly larger than La Habra so that was nice. They have that new fry technique all the newer joints have been trying out, not sure if it's a batter or a double fry or what, but it's good! I've never not finished a burger before, so I'm sad to say I won't be back. It was initially delicious, but just couldn't live up to the La Habra location. Boo.

Located in The Marketplace next to Yogurtland, Class 302, Daphne's, etc. You order and pay at the cashier then they'll give you a number to bring your food when it's ready. Service was quick and friendly. I read other reviews about their burgers being overcooked but ours came out just as we asked, medium G Fire burger $9-bell peppers, chiles, pepper jack, onion, chipotle aioli; they serve the aioli on the side so when I received my food I thought it was for the fries. I just assumed the sauce would be on the burger so if I ate it with the sauce that may have been better. Without the sauce I didn't think it had enough flavor and was not spicy at all. White Truffle burger $9- mushrooms, bell peppers, asiago, garlic aioli, and white truffle oil; S.O. didn't think it had enough flavor so he had to add sriracha, but it was cooked well Garlic parmesan fries $5- fries, garlic, parmesan; best thing we ordered, the fries were cooked perfectly. Simple and tasty.

Good, but pretty much what you'd expect from a pricier burger joint. G Burger has a lot of menu options, but a lackluster non-hamburger selection makes it hard to differentiate from the other great burger places in SoCal. I was feeling a bit fatty today and went with the double patty medium rare, but the two of them were cooked to different degrees. Still, the flavours mixed together really well and I really enjoyed how they sandwiched the cheese between the two, creating an excellent melt. I've been wanting to come over for quite a while, and despite the fifteen times I've been at 302 this month we somehow always managed to forget it. Its a pretty decent menu with a decent hamburger based selection, but I don't think their toppings were as fresh as they could have been. One of us got a salad and was pretty meh about the taste, understandable though since it is a burger restaurant. Nothing really exciting or different about this place though, and despite a solid burger having two fairly different degrees of shou (I forgot how to say this in English, doneness, wellness, cookedness?) There really isn't much to bring me back to G Burger though, unless I just feel spontaneously hungry for burgers while I'm at the plaza

If you're looking for a quick gourmet-type of burger, G burger is where it's at. You order and pay at the register and they bring you your food. All the quickness and convenience of a fast food place, but the quality of a good burger joint. I got the truffle burger medium rare with a fried egg on top. I thought the patty was juicy and well cooked, though the seasoning on one side was a little too salty and I kept biting into salt rocks. It was definitely a messy burger that needed a few napkins to get through. My only complaint with the burger itself is that the bun was way too soft and broke apart as I ate it. For a heavy duty patty, you can't use a weenie bun! My boyfriend went with a regular cheeseburger with bacon and sat there eating without a word and finished it before I could have a bite. I guess he loved it too! We also shared a garlic parm fries and a G-fries (onion, bacon, cheese on top). Both fries were seasoned and cooked crispy but I would probably go without the garlic parm. I loved the G fries!

I'm no stranger to paying good money for a burger, so I was excited to try a new place with some friends. For our sides we ordered the parmesan and garlic fries and their standard fries. I prefer the standard fries. I thought the parmesan and garlic took too much of the crisp away from the fries and it wasn't thoroughly mixed in. I preferred the zucchini sticks and sweet potato fries over their potato French fries. We ordered the Caprese and white truffle burger. Both burgers were cooked to order, had an excellent amount of meat, and were substantial in size as well. 3.5 stars upped to 4 because our service was good. G Burger isn't my favorite, but it adds excellent variety to my burger list.

I had been eager to try this place for a long time, I almost dragged Reza to La Habra a few times in the beginning to try their original location before this one opened. Naturally I was super excited to go try this location. Unfortunately, I was disappointed. We went as a group of 4 and no one really liked it, I am not sure if they were having an off day as I have heard great things about this place. My burger was dry and pretty flavorless. our tater tots and frozen parts in them (NO JOKE) and none of us finished our burger. We walked out pretty disappointed and I don't think I will be back anytime soon.

Burger topped with Blue Cheese, Applewood smoked Bacon, tomato slices, mixed greens, red onions and their house sauce. DONE DEAL. Slightly toasted and buttered bread that is the perfect vessel for the Angus beef patty and fixings. It's SO deliciously juicy that the goodness runs down your face when you take each bite. Order a side of Garlic Parmesan Fries, an icy cold Diet Coke and call it a day because all you want to do afterwards is a quick happy dance followed by a long nap. WINNER!!!

Sometimes, discretion is decidedly the better part of valor! More to the point, there are times when high-end fast-food is just what the doctor ordered. It had been such a long, exhausting week that even the thought of a five star dinner at Tar & Roses in Santa Monica couldn't energize me to the point that I wanted to drive to LA for the evening. When even a quick trip to the gym didn't kick my motor into high gear, I rebooked Tar & Roses for another weekend and considered my local dinner options. Not in the mood to cook, and not up for a full-scale sit-down meal, I checked my bookmarks and noticed G Burger. It was less than a mile from the 24-hour fitness I was in - destination selected, target locked! Rolling in at around 5pm on a Saturday night, the place was about half full and there was no wait at the counter. I glanced at the menu on the wall, yelp.com/biz_photos/g-bu… and consulted my Partner in Crime about what to order. Paying for our food, we were given a number, took our drinks from the refrigerator, and sat down at a table to wait for our food. The drinks were sparkling water - there's no alcohol served here, but I had a bottle of vintage Cabernet decanting back at the Man Cave, so no worries on that score :-) Here's what we ordered: - G Fire Burger (100% fresh Angus beef & pepper jack cheese, red & green chiles, grilled onion, roasted red bell peppers, house spicy aioli on the side) yelp.com/biz_photos/g-bu… - White Truffle Burger (100% fresh Angus beef on a high rise bun, grilled Portobello mushrooms, roasted red bell peppers, asiago cheese, white truffle oil & garlic aioli) yelp.com/biz_photos/g-bu… - Parmesan Fries yelp.com/biz_photos/g-bu… - Onion Rings yelp.com/biz_photos/g-bu… The food came up quickly. Everything was hot, and the meal completely hit the spot! After trying both the burgers, I have to give my personal nod to the G Fire Burger. While I enjoyed the taste of the White Truffle Burger, the G Fire Burger had a jet-propelled kick to it that really worked for me. As for the fries, they tasted pretty darn good for spuds I have no doubt started that day in the freezer, but of the two sides my personal favorite were the onion rings. They had just the right amount of batter, and were crispy and nicely seasoned without being too greasy. To me, G Burger seems like a fast-food burger joint that's a couple of notches up from In-N-Out, and maybe one notch above Smashburger. It's fast, reasonably clean, and because it's proximate to my favorite 24-hour fitness in OC, I'll doubtless be back. It's not world-class cuisine by any stretch of the imagination, but for this price point yelp.com/biz_photos/g-bu… I'd say it rates a good solid four stars.

Had lunch here with coworkers, and we all agreed this place is awesome! Burger was cooked perfectly, and tasted amazing. Juicy party, seasoned just right, bun was soft and tasty as well. Fries were seasoned fries and hot like they should garnished with parsley. Can't wait to come back here again to try something else. Had the straight up cheeseburger BTW...

Finally, I got to try a G Burger. I have wanted to try G Burger since their first location opened up years ago in La Habra to rave reviews by Yelpers and personal friends alike. I finally got to try their brand of beef and Folks, we have a winner here. The restaurant is a small but clean fast casual set up with very friendly employees. After a fast look at the menu I decided to try the flagship namesake, and man did I have no idea what I was in for. The Burger came to my table in about 15 minutes and calling it a spectacle doesn't begin to explain this Burger. The height of this monstrosity would be at home in Manhattan. 2 gargantuan 100% Fresh Angus beef Patties are topped with Tomatoes, Bread & Butter Pickles, Avocado, Teriyaki Glazed Onions, Onion Rings, a Fried Eggs, Deli Pastrami, Applewood Bacon, Roasted Red Bell Peppers, Cherry Peppers, Mixed Greens and 1001 Island Dressing. All of this is held together by 2 wooden dowels and a "high rise" Bun. As imposing as this Burger was, it was also delicious. My strategy was to take it apart and eat it as an open face sandwich to get a taste of all the toppings, bite by bite. This Burger easily feeds 2 and at $20.00 with Fries and a drink, it is actually quite reasonable when shared. The Fries were on point too. Perfectly crispy with a wonderful dusting of house seasoning. I really enjoyed my first trip to G Burger and a return visit is guaranteed, but I think I will stick to the regular sized Burgers going forward as the novelty of the big G is a one time try for this Yelper.

This place is OK, in my opinion. The patties come out well done, which is too much for my taste. The ingredients didn't seem as high-quality as similar establishments. However, the prices are reasonable, I like the concept and they offer a lot of toppings.

I love some good burgers and I am so glad that I finally tried this place! What we ordered: White Truffle Burger: portobello mushroom, cheese, red bell peppers (opted off my burger), white truffle oil and garlic aioli Cooked medium. Mouth watering, every bite was delicious. Meat cooked perfectly. So juicy, finger licking good. Made it a combo got their regular fries which I enjoyed as well. Husband got the regular cheeseburger. He loved it as well and got the G style fries which was different but we liked it. Came with bacon, cheese, grilled onions and their 1000 island dressing. I've lived by it for years but because of all these great reviews I decided to finally check it out. Yelp never steers me wrong!!

Holy moly best burger place ever! Second time I've been here and it was amazing just like the first time. I got the truffle oil turkey burger in a lettuce wrap....which is my creation. Super delicious. I have no idea what they season their burgers with but it's delicious. My daughter got the regular cheese burger. She devoured it. Super yummy and hot fries too. Great burger place. Order burgers as you want. Great toppings. Super great meats...chicken, beef, turkey....all fresh and very tasty.

I've been craving a decent burger for a while now, and since I stumbled upon a buy one get one free side coupon it was a sign to go. I ordered the cheeseburger with a side of the spicy sauce (.50 extra) that comes with G Fire burger. My husband also got the cheeseburger and added bacon ($2 extra). I asked for medium well but it was more medium. For sides we got the zucchini fries and onion rings. They both come with ranch dressing. The burgers are pretty good, but for $9-11 dollars I expected more. The patty wasn't any better than other burger places and the bun was just normal burger bun. Because nothing stood out I would probably spend less money and just go to In n Out. The onion rings I was not a fan of. Batter was too thick and hard. Zucchini fries were much better, while it looked like the same batter as onion rings it wasn't as thick. Their ranch dressing was pretty good too. All in all a nice dinner but I don't think the price matches the value.

We arrived around 7:30pm on a Friday and upon ordering we were informed that they were out of french fries. WHAT??? This is a burger joint but "ran out of french fries"??? Staff was courteous and offered sweet potato fries at no extra charge. Luckily my daughter doesn't mind sweet potato fries otherwise it would have been a quick bee line for the door. I had the garlic spinach burger and requested no onions. We received our order with onions on my burger and no fries. Apparently after all that, the fries were never added to the order and I was so hungry that I just picked out the onions. Burger was good. Overall I have had better, but staff was courteous.

I am in the area all the time shopping and always wanted to come here. Finding out they don't make their veggie burger in house had me hold off a good year or two. Whatever veggie patty they use (I asked, the cashier didn't know, boo) I do really enjoy it, a mix of rice and veggies, not light, but tasty and meat free. I also like their fries, been wanting to get them loaded but with the portions of the burgers, we just split an order of fries. My husband had the G Burger which he enjoyed. I have had their grilled veggie sandwich and liked it as well as the cobb salad is very generous for a great price. Service is fine, maybe a bit slow, but everything is made to order and if you are getting something huge like the G, you will wait a good 15 minutes, I think worth it. Prices are fair, the place is pretty clean, all around good small local burger chain.

I love the concept. Simple. Great flavors. Pros: the White Truffle Burger was amaZing. The truffle and burger meat was soooo good. Loved it. Good fries. Cons: The regular cheeseburger was pretty boring. It's good but very typical. Need more sauces for fries. It was good. Would return

I got a cheeseburger including the combo with the fries and drink. I would have never expected something so close to a gourmet burger for the price. This is the best burger I've had in a long time. You'll get a thick slab of beef with sensational tastes. The only problem was that when I was done I wanted more. The fries are crispy and very distinct. You will not find this type of seasoning elsewhere. If you find yourself craving a burger and happen to wander into this place you will not be disappointed.

Tucked into the corner of the shopping plaza this location is surrounded by a lot of other eateries, so it's definitely got competition, but it was packed, so it's doing something right! We headed in based on the good Yelp reviews from others, and looked over the menu. They have a ton of options for various burgers and sides. I opted for the mushroom and fries. We both ordered our burgers medium-rare. The fries and onion rings were both really good and the burger and toppings were tasty. They offered up sauce in little containers for dipping, which was nice. The only downsides to the place were the number of seats and that the burgers were over cooked. Instead of the medium-rare we ordered I'd say they were medium-well for sure. Staff is friendly and helpful with suggesting orders and checked in on us a couple times after we received our food. They were also quick to clean up tables since it's a smaller location with limited seating! Overall: A Good burger, decent pricing for the area, high seats are uncomfy so try to find a lower booth!

I should have written a review of this place when I visited over a year ago, but just never got around to it. This is a top tier, underrated or underexposed burger restaurant. California is a hotbed for burgers and this is definitely in the top 10. I can't recall exactly what I ordered, something with bacon, also sweet potato fries were amazing. If you're on the burger hunt, make the trip here. It's worth it. Sorry there aren't more details, if I ever get back to that area I will go again and write something more detailed.

Wow, I thought I was just walking in to a regular ole' hamburger joint. Nope this place has some really great burgers, but that's not what the G stands for it stands for Gourmet. You can build your own burger or order from their pre-fixe styled burgers which is what I did. I had the Truffle Burger and added avocado to it. I also ordered the G-fries and beer battered zuchinni. You can make any hamburger a combo. Fresh cut fries and made to order onion rings...yumm. I went during lunch time so it was a little busy but no worries I was still able to find a seat. I did like the option of sitting outside but I choose inside due to some remodeling and construction just out the front door. You place your order when you come in and then they bring your order to you. My burger was so damn good, no kidding I was impressed by the flavors since most times when I order a truffle burger you rarely taste the truffle oil. I finished off my burger but had zero room left for my fries/zuchinni so took them home to polish off later. Great service and a great product. Prices reflect the quality so for two burgers two side and drinks expect atleast $30-$35 bucks well spent.

Came here on a Wednesday evening with my husband and daughter. I was really excited because I love burgers. But this spot really doesn't have ''invented'' burgers. I was hoping it would offer creative options, but just your typical hamburger/cheeseburger options. Was pleased that they offer sweet potato fries and onion rings as side dishes but they are a slightly expensive upgrade. They do offer various burger toppings but I think for LA.... when you have cheap options like In N Out ... gotta step up your game if a burger is gonna cost $6+. No problems with service.

Came in craving a juicy burger on a Friday night. We had an Irvine book coupon for 20% off so the wifey and I decided to check it out. She got the truffle burger, I got the g fire burger, and we shared the g-style fries. Gotta admit, the wife wins again. Truffle burger was juicy, decadent, with a great balance of flavors. Would get again for sure. Fire burger was good, but I got the spicy spread on the side with the advice from the girl I ordered from. Spice level of 8 out of 10 she said and that's no lie. Maybe 10 years ago I could handle that, but no longer. The spicy aioli sauce was real good though. G style fries good, but wish there was more bacon ( that's the gluttony speaking). Really liked the overall taste and texture of the fries even without all the cheese and onions too if you want to go the more "healthy" route. Next time I want to try the caprese burger. Will be back for sure. $9 for these burgers was worth it in my opinion.

I got a regular cheeseburger and added avocado to it. Delicious! It's nicely set up in there and really clean which is great. Customer service was fantastic. Definitely will be going back. Only reason why I didn't give 5 stars is because I felt like they were a little overpriced but other than that it was good.

I had a cheese burger without pickles, with bacon. I also had the garlic Parmesan fries, and onion rings. All wet very good. The food truly is very good here, and the service was exceptional also. Even with as good as it is I question spending $36 for two burgers, fries, onion ring, and two drinks. If I am ever craving a burger like this again I will definitely come back, but I just don't see wanting to spend three times the cost of a meal at In N Out. I am not trying to say this place should be In N Out, jut that I never really want a burger so bad that I want to pay three times the amount of a double double. If cost is not that important to you, then this place is really great.

I understand a burger chain needs to differentiate but I just don't agree with G Burger's concept. If G Burger management is reading this, please know that I meant for this as constructive criticism. First, get rid of generic12oz "small" cup because it is all-u-can-drink fountain anyway and I've seen water cups bigger than that. Second, no price on the board and hence the price shock of $12 for burger, fries, drink. This the the price I expect in a sit down restaurant but not at fast food joint. Third, I ordered the teriyaki flavor burger and it just doesn't taste right (compare to say Red Robins'). It may be the salty flavor instead of sweet that threw me off. Fourth, I ordered the specialty fries and regretted it after I see the additional ingredient (not saying it is good or bad, just that I won't want to order it again). The staff is friendly and came to ask if everything is good, twice, which is nice since this is a fast food restaurant but not necessary.

I had been waiting for all the hype around G Burger to die down before I would go try it out. My coworkers have this "Burger Fry-day" thing going on where they try out a burger joint every other Friday. This time was G Burger which I was pretty stoked about. Most of my coworkers ordered the cheeseburger with fries. I had the white truffle burger and a side of parmesan garlic fries to share. My coworkers burgers looked great as did mine. I ordered it medium and it was perfectly cooked. I didn't detect a strong truffle flavor like I had hoped, and it was cheaper than Umami burger. It was bigger too. But the taste was a bit off. Maybe it was because I still had a cough from earlier in the week but I didn't have any congestion so I could smell just fine. It just wasn't as impressive. The truffle flavor was non-existent. I ate half of it and shared the rest with my coworker while I got the 2nd half of her cheeseburger. The cheeseburger was great. I really liked the burger to bun ratio. It was a nice size. The parmesan and garlic fries were also a let down. They are basically regular seasoned fries with a bunch of clumped parmesan and garlic thrown on top. It wasn't tossed nor did the flavors meld like they should. I would not order this again. Save your money and order the regular fries or the sweet potato fries. The parmesan garlic fries aren't worth it, in my opinion. G Burger is another burger option but if I'm paying extra for my burger, I want it to have the flavors they advertise.

Did you know one of the side-order choices is "burger patty"?!? I was like Really?!? Ok, I'll take 4 side patties to-go and build my own burgers for family tonight at home! I ordered 4 patties MEDIUM so they would be a little bloody inside so when I warmed them on the stove, they would heat-up to medium-well before I served them! Perfect! So juicy and delicious!

Back again. Got the same burgers as our first visit. And they were just as good. This time we tried the G-style fries. Not sure exactly whats on them, thousand island and grilled onions for sure but whatever, they were deeeeeelish. Reminded me of INO's animal style fries but far superior to those for sure!!! I wish the portion was bigger for sharing. We will def get these fries again. I want whatever is on those fries on my burger.

The hubby wanted to try their Gburger, so we decided to try this place. Their Gburger is basically a burger with every single one of their toppings. The burger looked good but there is no way of eating it without breaking it apart (which kind of defeats the point of eating a 'burger'). It was good, but next time we probably would get one of their regular burgers.

Came here with my boyfriend for lunch and we both really liked it :) He got the white truffle burger and I got the fire burger along with the sweet potato fries. The fries were amazing!! They were perfectly seasoned, fresh, and hot and came with this amazing chipotle aioli dipping sauce that I couldn't get enough of. Our burgers came soon after that. The white truffle burger was exploding with mushrooms and my burger was exploding with peppers! Although the buns were really greasy, the overall Burger was delicious :) Halfway into my meal I decided to take off the buns and just eat my patty with the sauce and peppers- yum :)

Again, I still enjoy G-Burger, but at the Fountain Valley and sort of La Habra location are my current recommendations. I came after my friend and I volunteered at a race nearby, which he also ran. He wanted a local burger joint since he's from LA. So In-N-Out and Paul Martin's was out of the running...should have brought him to Peter's Gourmade Grill. I warned him that this location was not up to Par against it's other locations, but he was cool with that. "Ok, your taste buds funeral;P" We were waiting outside since they were not open yet. That worked out since we got to relax and talk. Oh, the communal outside common seating food court feel section is much nicer & larger since they took out the parking area. And with the Christmas tree it was nice touch:) As for the food...of course the meat was not cooked to request, but at least it was not completely jerkey well done like last time. Heck, at least I finished my burger this time, which is why I gave 2 Stars. (See previous review) I ordered a regular cheese burger to be safe and my friend ordered the G-Burger. It was so big that when he saw it I should've taken a picture of his expression...priceless. The G-Burger is a novelty burger that's not really meant to be held at one time. It almost borders a food challenge, which I've done many of;) My friend took it down in 4 parts by cutting it in half and at the end the bottom bun was ewww. (Note: he liked the G-Burger) I've had it and prefer to eat 3 different burgers...which I have done...lol. Yes, I'm big boned;) G-Fries if done well are good. When the sauce, onions and bacon bitss are spread out not glopped so... you might want to order it with light sauce. You can always order more on the side. It's hefty and tasty side. Know that their fries are on the greasy side. Again, service is better at the other locations. It's the small things they do for their customers. You'll see the difference if you go to the other locations;)

On a recommendation from a friend decided to try out G Burger. The burger which is fully customizable was amazing. Going with a medium plus patty, egg and bacon I must say the burger and produce quality is great. I also decided to try their g-style fries. The idea is there just felt that the seasoning of the fries and the thousand island/onions (animal style fries) did not go well. Nonetheless, I will be coming back for another custom quality burger.

I've gone to G Burger twice and both times were great. White truffle and G Fire burgers are great, so are the G Style Fries. It's a lot of food so be prepared to undo a button or two. The chipotle aioli is spicy but worth it.

First visit. Burger is incredible, but just a bit too big to fit in mouth. Fries are so-so, but this is more from personal preference- i don't like seasoned fries

Umm it was just OK I guess..... Nothing to brag about. I ordered the garlic parmesan fries and they were blah. I ordered a cheeseburger plain except for egg bacon and pepper Jack cheese. Again blah... Maybe because I just had fat burger yesterday but I was underwhelmed...plus it was pricey! Came to 15 bucks and I drank water!

"You want it bloody?" That's what the kid behind the counter asked when I ordered my G Fire Burger ($9) medium rare. "Yeah, sure," I said, pleasantly surprised that G Burger was willing to go there. But then again, why wouldn't they? If their burgers are indeed made from 100% certified grain-fed, hormone-free Angus Beef, as their website proudly states, then a bloody burger should not only be completely safe to eat but sure to satisfy that carnivorous craving in me. As it turns out, my burger showed up a little closer to medium than medium rare -- far from the anticipated bloody but pink enough. My bigger complaint is that the meat, while quite succulent, was a bit on the bland side. This, unfortunately, happens at far too many burger parlors. When are they going to get that you can't just slap the patty down on the grill and walk away? You need to season that puppy! As for whether the burger deserves the "fire" moniker, I guess so. The chili peppers did produce a respectable burn, but the burger was not as spicy as some of the reviewers (ahem, Curtis C.) would have you think. Basically, if you can handle Sriracha, then you can handle the G Fire Burger. Notwithstanding, I thought the burger was delicious. And it is, without a doubt, a better and spicier burger than the Habanero Burger ($6.25) at Mick's Karma Bar, also in Irvine. Sure, the G Fire Burger is pricier, but it's also more satisfying to this burger hound and chili-head. As for the fries ($2.50), they were greasy but addicting. Darker in color than your typical fries, it appears like they may have been double fried. So the next time the kid behind the counter asks if I want it bloody, I'm just going to give him my best Vincent Vega impression: "Bloody as hell." Maybe that'll do the trick. 3 1/2 stars P.S. After looking at some of the pictures on Yelp, it seems I was not given the side of spicy aioli, which might have kicked things up a notch, so to speak.

what to order: cheeseburger! tip: medium well has some pink still, I usually order medium or medium rare other places but at G Burgers I order medium well. I love G Burgers! I was pleasantly surprised to find another one relatively close. I would definitely come here if I wasn't in the mood for the 405 traffic. Same good quality food but I like the vibe and TV at my "home" location haha.. The fries were also a little soggy and softer than the other location. Customer service was great though!

I love this place! Definitely not your typical hamburger joint. I'm definitely going to try and taste each burger they have. Everything I've had so far I've loved. I've had the Garlic Spinach Burger (definitely a garlic lovers burger), Caprese Burger (mozzarella and tomato topping) and the infamous G Burger (topped with everything they have - delicious!) You can eat inside or they will serve you outside if you want to grab a table in the courtyard. We like to sit outside and let the kids run around in the fake grass and by the fountain. There's a yogurtland next door so a lot of families have the same idea.

I rarely crave burgers, but I think I will be craving this place. BF and I had dinner here last week and we loved everything we had. He had a cheeseburger with a fried egg added on top, I had the white truffle burger, also with a fried egg. We shared an order of G Fries. Two drinks and the bill was under $30. Cheaper than Umami, and way better! The food didn't take too long to come out. The burgers were presented very nicely. I loved my truffle burger, it had great flavor, was super juicy, and had delicious mushrooms and roasted red peppers on it. It was a mess though, be prepared to go through multiple napkins if you eat here. BF's cheeseburger also had great flavors going on. Our G Fries were like In N Out Animal Style fries x 100. Crispy, nicely salted fries, covered in thousand island, bacon, cheese, and caramelized onions. Mmmm I want those again for sure. So many of the items on the menu sounded delish, I know we will be back to try other burgers, sandwiches, and sides!

Lunched @ G Burger Irvine today 2 o'clockish. Food was 4 stars. Environment was a1 star. Apparently there was no manager on duty as 1 employee was sleeping in a booth with 1 child while 2 other children (between 10 & 12) were smacking each other and just being loud. Excellent food. Really bad atmosphere. Floors and tables were greasy. Only reason for 2 stars was food. For the cost of the food you don't expect a hotel and nursery.

G Burger is my second favorite gourmet burger place and it's a close second. I find them to have a very comfortable and pleasing atmosphere inside with a menu that is easy to understand. I've visited two of their locations so far and upon entering both was warmly greeted by the staff behind the counter. On my first visit they took their time to explain the menu and their philosophy which greatly enhanced my experience. On to the important stuff. The burgers start with high quality beef that you can taste and are cooked exactly how you order them. You want medium (which is how the house prefers it) you get medium if there something wrong with you and want well-done then Saints be praised you get well-done. There are an abundant number of extras to choose from to compliment your burger including a nice selection of cheeses and sauces and of course my personal favorite fried egg. They do their fried egg over easy which is the way I like it because the yolk doesn't run as much. One of the menu items at G Burger that I really enjoy that sets them part from other gourmet burger places are the G Style Fries. Think of Animal Style Fries at In 'n Out Burger only on steroids (which really pains me to say because In 'n Out is near and dear to my heart and I hate to see a unique menu item take a back seat). These things are sinfully good! They consist of a regular order of fries topped with hickory smoked bacon, grilled onions, cheese and homemade 1001 island dressing. You probably take 5 years off your life every time you eat them but I think it's worth the risk. Onion rings are good too. Cut and battered in house then fried when you order them. They are tasty and fresh. In short G Burger is top notch and well worth a visit. Please give them a try.

G burger! I shouldn't eat this because I'll get fat but it's so good! This burger is the bomb. If you think In-n-out burger is amazing, you won't like this place, because this is for the true burger lover and not the socal hippie that is blind to the better options out there. For the burger fan add this place on your list of burger joints. I think I can add this place in my top 3. G burger is like the causal dining version of Unami burger. Think of this like you want PF Chang but you only have time for Pei Wei which is the exact same thing minus the fancy restaurant. For the record I don't recommend PF not Chang's but I was trying to give an example. I ordered the white truffle burger and added bacon. Forgive me if I start crying while I write this review because the average burger just doesn't compare. If you don't consider a burger as just a piece of meat that you get from a drive thru and you love your burger come here. I must warn you this place is not diet friendly and you will l lose the battle of man vs abs. So worth it to try at least once. Personally, my experience and taste of the Truffle Burger was better than Unami! The truffle serving is very generous and the pricing is more reasonable. G burger is not my number one but I haven't had an I love you burger experience like I did here. Stop reading just go to G Burger. I highly recommend this place. I really hope I didn't over hype G Burger but I had such a great experience.

First time trying this place out today, and it certainly did not disappoint! I had gone to another burger joint the day before, came here because I wasn't quite satisfied with my choice yesterday. Best decision ever made! I had gotten the Caprese Burger and the loaded fries. I love and enjoy the fact that this place is just minutes away from the house, and the fact that they do take out. The decor and ambiance is nice as well. Everything tasted great! Definitely had my burger craving filled, thanks to this place. Definitely will be back soon!

Sooo good! I know G Burger opened a while ago and I wish I had tried it sooner. VERY tasty! I love the different sides you can add to your burger. I ordered a cheeseburger with pepper jack and added freshly grilled pineapple. He ordered a cheeseburger with sharp cheddar, added a patty, pineapple, and avocado. Deeeeelicious. They use high-quality beef (they cook them medium unless you specify otherwise), their buns are really soft (brioche-like) and the ingredients are very fresh. The people that work there are so friendly and professional too. New favorite burger spot!

I came here for the second time, I love that the staff is always friendly, but the burger that I had this time was lacking a little flavor. Although, the presentation is impeccable. The regular fries were good, but I still liked the sweet potatoe fries better. So, next time I come I will have the grilled chicken sandwich I had the first time.

SCREW THE DIET!! Forget the cardio, weights, juices, protein shakes, snacking on almonds, greek yogurts, and surviving on air - just go to G Burger and let yourself LIVE!! THE MOOD: G Burger is located at the Tustin Marketplace and the plaza is quite busy during the lunch and dinner rush. But not to fret, since there is so many other eateries here, the crowds seem to be evenly disbursed and your wait to eat here will not be long. There is not many tables inside, so get here early before the rush so you can eat comfortable at a booth area. If not, there is a long table with stool seats in the middle. Or, there is also seating outside. The place looks very modern and quaint. Plus, you can see the burgers being made through the glass window. THE FOOD: G Burger is where you will want to go on your cheat day. The love I get from the food will make your cheat day that much sweeter! What I got: White Truffle Burger: This burger is a MUST TRY. I love portobello mushrooms and roasted red bell peppers in general, but these items paired with the tender beef, asiago cheese, white truffle oil & garlic aioli blew my mind. Every bite was better and more satisfying than the last. The tenderness of the roasted red peppers and mushrooms was perfect with the fluffy buns. The angus meat was melt in your mouth good and the cheese gave it a lovely tangy flavor that made my tongue do somersaults. G Style Fries: I saw bacon on the menu and I knew I had to get it. G Style Fries come with seasoned fatty fries drizzled with bacon, 1001 dressing, grilled onions, and cheese - It was very reminiscent of animal style fries from In-n-Out, but the hickory smoked bacon took the fries up a notch. THE 'TUDE: Service was excellent from the moment we got in. The cashier and staff that brought over our burgers were all very friendly, smily, nice, and courteous to customers. I love great service! OVERALL: Every calorie I ate here was worth it!! I don't care...judge me if you want!! I'm surprised more people are not lining up out the door for burgers here - G Burger is getting burgers done right! Well, better for me and for my tummy!! :) I will most definitely be back!!

This is a great burger joint, it straddles the middle ground of in-n-out and a sit down restaurant nicely. I had the cheeseburger with blue cheese prepared medium rare with no additional instructions. I also added sweet potato fries and a drink. I was warned that medium rare would be bloody, and red; like it should be. The bun, crispy and simple- clearly assembled recently. The patty cooked on a gas grill was well seasoned and perfectly cooked. Bread and Butter pickles gave it a nice sweet crunch, and the red onions were thoughtfully water soaked so that they broke apart in the bite. Lastly the arugula and other mixed greens were the perfect accompaniment. Sweet potato fries taste as though they were rushed but nonetheless well above average and fresh which I would prefer over perfectly fried. Well, maybe over seasoned but delicious nonetheless. I only write this review as some of the other patrons didn't seem to appreciate the quality value proposition. G-Burger has something worth buying, again and again. The service was just fine as well! Nothing special, but the food brings it all the way to 5. To the person who complained about paying for sauce, there is a boat of Tabasco, Sriracha, Worcestershire, steak sauce, ketchup and mustard available for free. You get what you pay for, the aioli that came with the fries was phenomenal.

There are a lot of different options for upscale burgers in Irvine now, my take on gburger is that they are tying to go for a high quality burger but at a fast-food type of establishment, similar to five guys. Now a lot of people seem to really like this place but I really wasn't "wowed" by my burger. I ordered the G Fire burger medium rare. When I went to lift up my burger, the bottom bun was wet and slimy, not sure why this was because the list of ingredients didn't have a lot of sauces to it. As I continued to eat the burger, the thing just fell apart and I had to use a knife and fork to finish it. Overall the burger was cooked correctly and it tasted fine but the execution and placement of the ingredient just didnt allow the burger to really shine in my book. For the side I ordered the g fires which is similar to animal fries but I really like the sauce because it had a little kick to it. With the cost of the burger and side, my order came up to around $15 a person. Ive had better.

I just went here yesterday and the service was very bland. I walked inside to find out that I was the only customer inside. I asked the employee for the menu and he basically just threw it at me. I ended up trying the truffle burger because the employee had no recommendations whatsoever. I went to sit down & when the food was ready the same employee put the food on the table and didn't say a single word? I was so confused. The burger was just ok, it seemed like it was made carelessly and sloppily. The best part about this place is the fries. As I left there was a female employee that just stared at me walk out the door. You'd think that since I was the only one in there and one would think that they'd give at least a little more attention to the customer? I'm Never coming back here again.

My husband and I had cravings for burger as we were shopping around the area. We stopped by. For some really strange reasons, the burgers were super delicious. We felt that we could probably have another one because it was absolutely super delicious. However, we came back again the following week but it didn't quite have that super delicious effect like before. It was still good and would definitely come here for burger.

G Burger, it's... good. Yeah, it is . Not the best I have ever had, but for a small pace nestled in a food court in an Irvine mall, it is pretty good. I had the basic burger, a pretty hefty stack of meat, onions, lettuce and bun. I ordered it medium rare, and it came out a little under done, but I would rather that then overdone. I also ordered the fries, which are enough for two people to share. They were good, but would have been made better with a liberal dash of sea salt, and not a few shakes from the stuff in the shaker on the table.

I have nothing but great things to say this place. After driving a bit to find it (it's located in a busy shopping complex) we arrived! The interior of the restaurant is small - it has one large table surrounded by stools which is then flanked by about 8 small booths. Thankfully, there was outdoor seating and the weather was nice so we chose that. The staff was super friendly and even delivered our food outside to us. The woman who brought the food out even offered to run in and get us condiments and napkins. The menu has items for beef and chicken lovers alike! I had a regular ol' cheeseburger (which was delish and instead of a piece of iceberg lettuce had fresh greens), husband had a white truffle burger, kiddos had the chicken nuggets (which were actual pieces of white meat and not the frozen-from-a-bag standard kids fare) which came with fries. All of this plus drinks, an order of garlic fries and a chicken basil sandwich (which I ordered to try out just because it sounded tasty) was about $45 which I felt was super reasonable for the amount and quality of the food. Would we return? Definitely. This is on our list of must go's!!

=* YELP CHECK-IN OFFER - Free small drink!! *= Came here with the bf for lunch and we ordered: 1. Garlic Parmesan Fries ($5) - The fries didn't taste as well done as we had hoped it would be. It was more less crunchy and more soft. The flavor of the garli

Came here with a friend on a Sunday night. We both got cheeseburgers, but I added avocado and onion rings in mine. I was about to order medium rare, but the employee let me know that their medium was a little pink and that medium rare would be prettty pink so I went with the medium. It was really nice of her to let me know! I also ordered the garlic parmesan fries. The burgers came out first, with the garlic parm fries trailing a few minutes behind. I usually like all my food coming at once, but no big deal. The burgers were huge and we had to cut them in half in order to eat them neatly. The bun is so buttery and toasted very nicely!! We both really enjoyed it. Also, the onion rings on the bottom added a crunchy texture to the burger that we both liked. I might order the onion rings on the side too next time because they were really good. The garlic parmesan fries were amazing, I liked how each fry was coated with garlic and parmesan, with a little leftover as well!! They were slightly more thick than my usual liking, but it was good because the potato balanced our the garlic and parmesan flavors.

Juciy burgers you really can't go wrong. Although one may think all burgers are the same, think again! In-N-Out taste like In-N-Out and McDonalds taste like McDonalds... Give G-Burger a chance and you will crave it! The owner is nice too. I love the location and the shopping center has a mix of great food places nearby. Happy to have a variety of good restaurants in the neighborhood. (Yogurtland next door for dessert.)

This was "Part 2" of my birthday celebration and this time Erica offered to pick up my tab. My better half didn't have to pay for one of my birthday meals ... boy she got over! Oh wait ... I have been paying for 22 years (boy do I pay) ... guess she doesn't want to do anything to change that trend. I chose G Burger for this lunch because it was on my bookmark list (try as a might it never seems to get smaller) and it was something everyone could agree on. The menu ( yelp.com/biz_photos/g-bu… ) is rather simple with 7 burgers, 4 sandwiches, 3 Vegetarian options (including two burgers), 3 Salads, 6 Side Options and a couple of Kids' Menu items. Rohlinism: If Vegetarians don't want to eat dead animals, then why do they want their food to look like those same dead animals?! I sure has hell don't want my bacon looking like zucchini sticks (I hate zucchini sticks). G Burger also offers extra toppings to personalize your burger for an additional charge. If you have a really large appetite and a creative flare can order The G Burger. This is a standard burger with all or any of the extra toppings you desire. I believe everyone ordered the Cheese Burger: ( yelp.com/biz_photos/g-bu… ) ( yelp.com/biz_photos/g-bu… ) In addition, we ordered several of the sides: ( yelp.com/biz_photos/g-bu… ) ( yelp.com/biz_photos/g-bu… ) ( yelp.com/biz_photos/g-bu… ) You order / pay at the counter (don't forget the free drink with check in), the cashier gives you a number and then you can search for a seat. The location is rather small with a communal table with bar stools in the middle of the restaurant and booths along two of the walls. There was also a couple of tables outside, but it was too hot to be eating outside. We went for a booth first, but they seemed rather small, so we opted for the communal table. There is also a good view of the kitchen ( yelp.com/biz_photos/g-bu… ), if you want to be sure the cooks aren't spitting on your burgers. The food came out rather staggered starting with my rings. The batter was nicely seasoned and the rings came with a side of Ranch Dressing. The rings were cooked well and I thought the portion was decent for the price ($4.00). Shortly after, the burgers started coming out along with the Parmesan Garlic Fries. The burgers were met with mixed reviews. Jessica found her burger boring while Erica and my lovely wife really liked the burger. I know Laina really liked the butter pickles as a change from the usual dill pickle chips. The Parmesan Garlic Fries were okay in my opinion. The garlic ended up mostly at the bottom of the baskets and didn't really adhere to the fries. The kids both said they really couldn't taste the garlic until they realized it was collecting at the bottom. Both baskets were also a bit overcooked for my taste. The last thing out was the Beer Batter Zucchini. By the time it came out, we were well into our burgers, so people were already feeling full. I believe my wife said they were ok ... what she had of them anyway. My burger was good and juicy, but I had a few issues. The first issue is G Burger puts the cheddar cheese under the burger instead of on top of it which didn't allow the cheese to fully melt. The other issue was the bun didn't stand up to the toppings on my burger and the bottom bun eventually fell apart. Makes me wonder what would have happened had I ordered The G Burger and went nuts. Probably would have been fun eating half my burger off of my lap. Overall, it was a pretty decent experience and I might go back to try The G Burger. I will just wear some old pants in case dining in becomes dining in my lap.

A very-very satisfying burger eating experience. What I really liked was the tasty burgers, hot, thick and delicious. I also really liked the hot and tasty onion rings, with delicious ranch dressing on the side. I also really liked the beer battered zucchini fries, yummy! I loved that when I added avocado, it was $1 and I got plenty, I was not ripped off! I also loved the numerous toppings at wallet-friendly prices. I loved the Yelp free small drink check-in, and extra love to the cashier, who promptly gave us 4 cups and trusted that we had all checked in. I felt staff was friendly and helpful, and they did not seem at all annoyed with the numerous requests, or more sauce, more napkins, etc. I didn't like the small seating area, but that was about it. I also had to pay for my own meal, but then ... what else is new? I always pay one way or the other.

Oh Mer Gerd....... this was incredible! So much so the BF and I went back again the next day. First day I had the garlic and basil chicken sandwich. It was so large I couldn't finish it. The chicken breast was grilled to perfection and sat atop the freshest bun with tomato, basil and a garlic mayo. Yum! Second day BF and I had the cheeseburger. It sounds so mundane........."cheeseburger". What a nice surprise. The burger patty is so large it is difficult to finish and flame broiled just the way you order. Sides were the fried zucchini and the G Fries. The fries came with Thousand Island dressing, bacon bits, cheese and onions. It was like In and Out Animal Style fries on steroids! Amazing. Pricing is also amazing. Very simple menu. Very reasonable prices. Two burgers, G Fries, zucchini and two drinks for $25 Lastly, the service. You are greeted upon entering the restaurant and you are thanked when you leave. It's the little things folks!

I have been to the La Habra location and the Fountain Valley location and both were excellent. I was so excited to hear that one was opening up near me in Irvine, but this location definitely does not live up to g burger's reputation. The hamburger patty was very bland. And the whole burger just was flavorless overall. If you are a G burger fan don't waste your time coming here, Fountain Valley and La Habra is definitely worth the drive.

In my opinion, G burger is better than Umami. The burgers here are definitely juicy and slightly bigger than Umami (for the about the same cost). This is just a small casual burger joint like Habit not as hip as Umami. We had the white truffle burger and the spinach garlic burger. I prefer the latter because there was a lot more flavor going on --with the garlic sauteed spinach, blue cheese, and the bacon! I would definitely go here again!

I've been here a couple of times and my personal favorite is the regular cheeseburger with a fried egg. The Parmesan fries aren't really that great I feel like there's way too much Parmesan. Go for the regular fries

A friend of my told me about G Burger and said it was the best burger he's had. So naturally, this fatty wanted to see for himself. I thought the food was pretty good. I didn't get too creative with my burger ordering because my boss was buying. I just went with a simple cheeseburger. The buns were soft, there was generous amount of meat, and it came with a side of crispy, well-seasoned fries. The food was fantastic, however, I was underwhelmed on a couple levels. 1. G Burger - I thought it stood for "Gangsta' Burger", but it actually stands for Gourmet Burger. 2. Setup - I wish they put a little more thought into the dining experience. They serve delicious burgers, but in almost a "fast food" setting. (ie, go to the counter to order) 3. Location - It's hidden in the Food Court of the strip mall, so it kind of takes away a notch from the "Gourmet-ness" of the restaurant. Overall I enjoyed this place. The place is clean, service was great, and the food is tasty. The price was reasonable, but for the price, i was hoping to dine in a little more upscale establishment. I think if I was getting a "quick-bite" to eat, this place would be the front runner.

Umam-WHA? After tossing up between the two to be very honest taste wise G Burger edged it out. After a long frustrating day of work I stumbled into here finally and I was quite impressed. I had the white truffle burger medium rare and it did seem medium rare was an odd request, but it was accommodated so made me a happy camper. The reason for the 5 stars basically was the juiciness of the meat and the fact that the truffle explosion was NOT SALTY like I have received in some places prior. I did also go to town with the G Fries another must have when you go here. How can you go wrong with bacon, grilled onions, and melted cheese? Oh yeah and the part that did stand out the most was the 1000k sauce as it was actually quite tantalizing on the taste buds. It had a brief pop, but nothing overpowering to me. All in all when I am joyriding around the OC and need a burger fix I will be gazing towards the Tustin Marketplace with beefy wonder!

This review is mainly for the "animal" fries. I stopped by here on my lunch break and saw that they had an item similar to In-N-Out Burger's animal-style fries. I am a huge In-N-Out Burger fan so I decided to give them a shot. The fries were bland, the sauce was too tangy, and I felt like I was just eating grease without flavor. The reason I am not going below three stars on this review is because this place prides themselves on burgers (which I don't eat), they have a beautiful design, the staff was friendly, and they serve Mexican cokes (the ones made with real sugar) if you want. What you should know: CHECK-IN OFFER: Free small drink

  • Steve T.

This place is a little bit more expensive than I had imagine when I ordered. There were no prices for each item and didn't expect burger, fries, and a drink would total ~$20. The burger was good, but the Parmesan fries lack crispiness.

After my last burger disappointment (not naming names, but I'm sure you savvy Yelpers can figure it out...LOL), I needed a pick me up and I needed it BAD. I am SO GLAD that I satisfied my burger fix at G Burger. The restaurant is actually small to medium size-ish. A couple of booths (fits about 4) and a couple of community tables/window counter seating. You could also sit at the tables outside, but you might be bothered by all the patrons in line for G Burger or Cafe 302. This is an order at the counter and have food dropped at your table system, so make sure you grab a table while your group is in line... And trust me, there will be a line if you're here at peak hours! I think the service does need to be refined a little bit. The staff had that deer in headlights look about them and our burgers DEFINITELY came out way before our side orders. We actually had to prompt them to grab our side orders. Also, there was a gal who tried to drop off two burgers that were definitely not ours. Luckily the next table order was able to claim their food. Because of all this confusion, the service isn't as quick and speedy as other chains that are similar. With all that said, the burgers are REALLY GOOD. I had a cheeseburger with a side of onion rings and my hubby had a hamburger w/ bacon and a side of fries. While I wasn't happy that the cheese wasn't melted on my burger, I was very satisfied with the freshness of the rest of the burger. The lettuce/pickles/onions were crisp (note: lettuce was more like a spring mix) and the patty is a healthy size and very juicy. I was also happy that they had peppers on the side with a good amount of condiments... I was so excited that there was SRIRACHA, tobasco, A1, etc. available for me to throw into the mix! My husband's burger was also really good and the bacon was just the perfect amount of crispy. The onion rings were good, but definitely not the best I've ever had; I'd say they were just a little overly breaded. However, I did like the ranch that they offered with my portion; a nice big portion that I could get on everything! The fries aren't just traditional fries, but more like the seasoned variety (think curly fries, but not really curly). Pros: -Great Burgers -LOTS of amazing condiments -Nice staff Cons: -Disorganized ordering system -Parking is a mess (Tons of other restaurants+BJ's+Lazy Dog just next door!) -Seating can be tough to get Tips: -If you're into it, make yourself some Sriracha-Ranch... SO GOOD. -Designate someone to grab a table while your group is ordering -Park in the lot just over from Lazy Dog/BJ's... Farther walk but it will save you time in the end.

Market Place location-parking is a joke due to construction at the food court. Ordered regular hamburger and onion rings. Bun fell apart as soon as I tried to get my mouth around hamburger. Lettuce, tomato and pickles slid out on my lap. Meat is probable cheapest kind of meat-full of gristle. Onion rings finally arrived, with some kind of spicy seasoning. Not good. Got up and left most of the food on table. Back to Habit Burger.

Highly recommend!!!! I still haven't tried an actual burger here, but the Garlic Basil Chicken Sandwich is AMAZING and so is the Portobello Burger! The onion rings are awesome, too. There are so many more things on the menu I want to try! SO glad they are in Irvine!!!

Got recommended here by a friend, and based on Yelp reviews, it seemed like a place I definitely needed to try. I ordered the white truffle burger with garlic parmesan fries. I loved the fries, but beware, you will get garlic breath after! The white truffle burger was pretty good. I ordered it medium. I was going to get medium rare but the cashier suggested medium because it will still have some red inside. When the burger first came out, the first thing I noticed was how greasy it was. Or maybe it was the juice. But the fact that a burger was dripping that much decreased my experience a little bit. It also did not have enough flavoring, so I had to add a bit more salt to it. My recommendation for a good burger would definitely be in the sauce, and this burger didn't really have that. I would not say it was bad, but just not good enough for me to give it 4 stars.

Update: So we came back and gave it a second chance because we had a coupon.. And maybe it was because they had just opened when we first went or something that made it so unimpressive, but they are definitely in their mojo now. We got two cheeseburgers and fries and it was delicious! The patty was so juicy and flavorful and the burger itself was pretty big! The service was a lot faster as well. Definitely coming back!

I've been to the place a couple of times after they opened as it's walking distance from home and the food is usually pretty good. Well this was the last time. Normally it's during the week when I go, but I made the mistake of trying to go on a busy Sunday night and clearly the night cook had no clue what he was doing. The wait to get our food took about 15 minutes which was the first problem and when we finally got our food the Chicken and Burger were RAW!! The chicken wasn't even close!! I took a bite and thought why does it feel chewy?? I looked down and quickly realized that meat was still pink!! Not slightly pink I mean ALL PINK!! I spit out my bite and felt sick to my stomach! She took a bite of her burger and yep sure enough it was pink from top to bottom with a slight sear. The bad part is she ordered it medium! not rare or medium rare. I took both burgers back and the counter help had the nerve to try and argue with her about the difference between medium and what she got??? Uhh did you even care that I could have gotten e-coli from the raw chicken I was served at all??? Rest assure the health department was notified.

The pastrami sandwich was pretty good. Not the largest sandwich or the highest quality meat I've had on a pastrami but a solid 4 stars for the sandwich. The regular fries are great and a good portion for the priced seasoned well 5 stars from me. The service was horrible the guy at the register either had no opinion when asked about menu items or answered sarcastically. When I mentioned the free yelp drink he got a little more polite but was not helpful at all. The free drink is tiny basically a little ware cup you are allowed to fill with soda or tea.

Gourmet burgers have become really popular these days and this is another one of those where the menu is pretty concise but allows you to go crazy with all the toppings you want to add. I for one hate creating my own so I went with one of G Burger's creation instead. The WHITE TRUFFLE BURGER ($9) was a no-brainer for me to get. It was delicious as a delicious burger can be. I asked for the patty to be cooked medium and it was perfectly cooked to my desire. It would've been perfect if it wasn't GREASY. It was one of the greasiest burgers I've had, ever. Halfway through my burger and I saw hair in between my patty. I had to pull it out to confirm and it was a pretty long strand. I almost gagged! I called a server and showed her my burger and all she says is, "that's weird"! She took the basket from my hand and returned later and confirmed if my burger was cooked medium. I find her reaction really bizarre and aloof. No apology whatsoever. 20 minutes later and a few follow-ups, I had a new burger in front of me. I was too full from the fries and zucchini that I had to take the rest of it home. Gee, thanks for taking forever! My daughter ordered their CHEESEBURGER with BACON ($6+$2). Served on a high-rise bun because of all the mixed greens, pickles, tomato, and onions, you'll have to work on getting a bite out of this one. Also, there was no bacon despite my additional topping order. My daughter told me not to bother complaining anymore so I submitted to her request. Their SWEET POTATO FRIES ($4) were excellent! Paired with their chipotle aioli dipping sauce, it was superb. I give them that. These were also served on a generous portion despite what the lady from the counter said. I asked if it was enough to share with two people and she told me it was really small. I decided to get their BEER-BATTERED ZUCCHINI ($5) as an additional side thinking our food would not be enough. Prepare to get blown away. The batter was flavorful and each zucchini was cooked to perfection. It's pretty impressive how you can really taste the beer in the batter. Without a doubt, this was my favorite of the night. With that said, both side orders were only half-eaten due to their huge portions. Tip: Share your sides. Don't listen to their staff, apparently, they're not knowledgeable with their menu. Located in the Marketplace near Target, next to Panda Express, this joint is really small. Pay as you order and then find a table. There are two communal tables in the middle which can seat about 6 per table. The rest are booth-like tables good for 4 people so this place is not recommended for big groups. I hate to say this but service was horrendous. The two girls working that shift looked so miserable to be working here. They really hate their job and it shows on their faces and with their service. I hope management will invest on training their staff. It'll go a long way. Would I come back? Food is good but if your service sucks, I'd rather go elsewhere especially when there are way too many gourmet burger places out there with better food and good service.

I found this place to be quite delicious. And knowing me I am very picky when it comes to burgers. The food comes out right off the grill and taste's amazing! I ordered a regular cheeseburger and it was so yummy! The sauce and the veggies on top with the fresh cheese. Normally the cheese makes the burger taste horrible because it isn't real cheese but this was obviously fresh. I also enjoyed the fries which had a garlic rub on them. So yummy! I will definitely be back!

I strolled in a skeptic and walked out a believer. I came for lunch and gave my taste buds an incredible experience. The food is exceptional but the G, which stands for "Gourmet" among other things, is reflected in the price. I ordered a Caprese burger, beer battered zucchini and a medium drink which came out to $17. Yikes! You order at the counter and they bring your food to you, either at one of several tables indoors or to one of the many outdoor patio tables. Since they cook to order, wait time for your food seemed to be about the same wait as In-N-Out. I ordered my burger cooked medium and guess what? It was delivered to my table MEDIUM! Not medium well or medium rare - they did a perfect job on this thick & flavorful Angus beef patty. There was plenty of fresh avocado, tomato and mozzarella piled on the burger as well as a delicious garlic aioli. I still use fuzzy logic to justify ordering fried zucchini over fries (zucchini is a healthier vegetable, right?) but was glad I did as these were superb. I could really taste the beer in the coating of these babies. The staff was very friendly and even came by my table to see if everything was okay or if I needed anything. It's a bit too pricey to be on my regular lunch list but gee, I really liked G Burger! 4.5 stars!

Absolutely love love this place! Their combinations are endless. I am not a burger person, mainly because I'm always getting suspicious pieces of stuff on my meat. So I try to look hard for a place that has good meat! This place is actually something I crave! We have tried their regular fries and they're just average. So we moved on to the G style fries, and oh my they are tasty! We also get an order of onion rings, and again I am not an onion person but I can devour a whole order of onion rings here! The crust is perfectly crunchy and seasoned well, and the onion slices are well cooked and not too thick. The price is a little on the higher side for a burger joint, but the quality of their ingredients speaks for the price. I highly highly recommend this place. Check in on yelp for a free drink!

I have been to G Burger twice for lunch--both times I ordered the white truffle burger, which is juicy, flavorful and delicious but hardly low in calories. I will certainly go back and try something different. As burgers go, G Burger is in the same conversation with The Counter and The Habit, although it is less well known than the other two that have more stores.

Went in not really knowing what to expect (especially since I don't eat meat). I was very happy to see that they have some great vegetarian options! Portobello burger and sweet potato fries for me and the white truffle burger for my gf. Both delish. A little pricey but you definitely get your money's worth and more.

Amazing! Probably the best burger I've ever had. I had the cheese burger with spinach, garlic, bacon, cheese, and more (can't remember the name). It was cooked perfectly and the flavors together were perfect. My hubby had the G Fire Burger and loved it too! The garlic parm fries were also great!

One less gourmet burger place to try! Woohoo! I convinced the hubs that we need to have a burger for lunch - mainly because this was "G" Burger and his first and last name begins with a G...destiny, right? He was less than thrilled but I told him Yelpers had given this place great reviews. He was in! The restaurant is located in the food court area to the left of Yogurtland. People have mentioned that it's next to Target - wrong! Upon entering you're greeted by a friendly person at the cash register. She gives you a menu to read, even though there's a HUGE menu posted on the wall - she explained the hand held menu has more detail. Sadly, I left my glasses at home so I went with the ever popular Truffle Burger. We ordered, grabbed our number, got our drinks and sat down in a cozy booth against the wall...and waited. Our burgers arrived, nicely presented on a flat tray with brown paper. I have to say, I took a moment to admire the burger - presentation is everything, isn't it? I threw the top bun on, flattened it to a height that would fit in my mouth and took a bite. The burger was quite good, nice and juicy, a bit too juicy - is there such a thing? The hubs described them as messy because every time you take a bite, a mixture of juice and oil dropped onto the paper, followed by bits of loose veggies. The mixed salad greens on his cheeseburger looked fresh. The beef patty was thick and juicy, really, really juicy. If it weren't so messy, I'd give it 4 stars. The bun was nice and light which allowed you to taste the beef and all the fabulous burger toppings. Price: The truffle burger with bacon and avocado came in just under $13. This is an expensive burger for semi-fast food. If I'm going to pay $13 for a burger, I'd rather have someone waiting on me. Overall Service: Very good

PROS: - The tables and environment is clean and the setting has a modern feel. - I ordered the Caprese burger. They put almost half an avocado in my burger. The meat was cooked perfect. - The garlic parmesan fries were nicely cooked. - Offered a free small drink on Yelp from check-in. CONS: - Food prices are slightly high. Expect to spend about $15 if you order a burger, drink, and fries. - The service was somewhat slow to get our food. No one was in the restaurant and it took them quite awhile. - The Caprese Burger had a garlic aioli sauce that just tasted like mayo. - My friend ordered the Fire Burger and said it was dry. The sauces were nothing special.

Great food and customer service. I always get the Rosemary Turkey burger. But they should seriously consider updating their pricing for the sweet potato fries. To add a combo (regular fries and drink) it's $3.95. But to add sweet potato fries and a drink it's $6.00! Are the sweet potato fries THAT much more expensive to justify a $2 difference? I don't think so.

  • Tracy K.

I don't eat beef so I had the rosemary turkey burger, it was the special that day. It was great! not at all dry, which turkey burgers can be. It was very flavorful it had fresh argrula and tomatoes as well as mayo. I'd go back.

Went opening day, not the fastest service but everybody was really friendly. Will get better once they get in the swing of things. Got the white truffle burger and my friend got a bacon cheese burger. Quality was incredible. Will definitely go back, will make it 5 stars once service is faster.

Their website, the local newspaper, and a sign at the place in Fountain Valley Plaza kept saying that there is a G Burger coming soon. This started back in May. It's now September. That isn't "soon." So after waiting three or four months, I talked the BFF into going all the way to this location. I ordered the cheese burger with pepper jack cheese and a garlic parmesan fries. The burger was tasty, juicy and fresh. The garlic fries were terrible--soggy and cold, like they'd been sitting in the kitchen for hours and then warmed it up. After I ate two fries, I just left the rest. The waitress came over and I told her about it. She offered me new fries, but I wasn't that interested. About ten minutes later, she came back and offered me $5 cash back for the old fires. I said no. I told her the reason I brought it up was the hope that they would take care of it better for the next customer. And i will never order fires from them, ever. BFF had the G Fire burger and onion rings. The burger itself is the same as the other burgers, but it's topped with a nice assortment of spicy things like red and green chiles. The aioli sauce was good and the the onion rings were the best side dish The two burgers, fries and rings, and two drinks ran $36, a bit over-priced for a quick bites.

  • Jcee K.

The menu on the wall doesn't have prices so it was confusing when our bill for 2 burgers with some toppings and parm garlic fries came out to $36! We got the fire burger and it was over cooked but pretty tasty. The fries were good too. We got free onions rings because they got our order wrong and they were the best things we tried there. I would not go back because I think it's over priced for nothing special.

Very good! I had the truffle burger it was delicious and filling...I had the g style fries as well, they didn't do much for me as the fries on their own would've been delicious; if anything the design of the fry - thick cut, not thin - does not lend itself to the condiments - cheese, onions, etc.. - of the g-Style fries it ends up a little too heavy for my taste. Overall experience was good, the burger was delicious and perfectly seasoned!

The wait was pretty long mate around 20 min. spicy g burger was great though with onion rings it was heaven

Best burger by far.. I'm an In-n-Out fan, I love my double double but when I want a change of pace, G Burger is the way to go. Beats any gourmet burger joint by miles. The fresh Angus beef is cooked to perfection every time, the seasoning is delicious. My go to burger, a Cheese Burger with pepper jack cheese, grilled onions and I add bacon and avocado. Want something different, the White Truffle Burger is my wife's favorite. Seasoned fries and onion rings are a must. If they can work in a way to serve beer, this spot would be perfect.

$9 for a burger, really!! If we allow these places to exist, the prices will only go higher! Your voting power is strongest through your purchasing decisions.

I have to start out by saying that I loved the La Habra location, which is why when I stumbled on to the Irvine location I was excited to try it. On my second visit to the location I received less than stellar service from the rude darke haired 20 something Latino behind the register. I ignored this and just looked forward to my burger. When it was finally ready I was surprised to find mold on the bun. I went to the guy at the register and presented him with the mold. He looked at me like I was interrupting him. He called over the chef and he confirmed it was mold. He then asks me what I want. I said I want my money back and I want to speak to the manager. He said the manager was busy and refused to get him. He refunded my money for the burger, but didn't want to refund me for the soda. I insisted for his name and to speak with the manager. The manager never came, but after insisting he gave me the full refund. I called the La Habra location three times to talk to a manager there in hopes to escalate the matter. No luck three times and always tomorrow. I was never able to contact the manager in Irvine. I tried this before posting this review, but just gave up.

This place has amazing burger and a great surroundings! Very fresh toppings and the burgers are made like there suppose to, red in the middle (Rare to medium rare) the chief is amazing! Super good guy and everyone that works there is great! Highly recommend this place

This place is pretty good. I think I probably tried the worst burger on the menu and will probably try something different next time. Had the Garlic Spinach burger, it sounded good at the time, but I really don't know why I chose it. Everything is cooked fresh, nothing sitting around, which I like a lot. It takes a little longer than most places, but that means it's fresh. Still quicker than waiting in an In-N-Out drive thru, by a long shot. Anyway, the burger was good. They cooked it medium and it was done perfectly. This is a huge gripe for me when places can't cook stuff the way you order them. I'd come here again, but order a different burger. I did, however, really enjoy their G Style Fries. The fries come smothered in grilled onions, thousand island dressing, cheese and bacon. Pretty amazing, but I kind of expected that. It was quite the tasty mound of fries to say the least. I'll be returning and this time, going to build my own burger!

Ordered the cheeseburger and garlic Parmesan fries. The burger and fries were perfectly cooked. Moist, well flavored on the burger with appropriate sponginess to the bun and fresh condiments. The fries were well cooked and flavored. Just would have gotten them without the Parmesan. Wasn't quite worth the additional $2. A little pricey overall, but no complaints about the food or service.

1st of all, i love gourmet burgers. with that being said, i'm always on the look out 4 good gourmet burgers. i found g burger thru yelp and i'm so glad i had that 4 dinner last nite! it's located in the tustin marketplace, near baja fresh, panda express, etc... this place is small inside, but there's outdoor seating in the plaza. wen u check in with yelp, u get a free small drink! if u wanna eat outside, they bring the food 2 u. the service is good and the food is even better!!! i had a cheeseburger with a jumbo fried egg. it wuz delicious!!! the burger wuz big!!! we also ordered the onion rings (it wuz ok) and the garlic fries (yum!!!) they have a simple menu and toppings r extra, if u want 2 add more than wut is already in your burger. these burgers make in n out burgers look like flatliners! haha!!! i'll b back next time 2 try other things. it's nice that they also cater 2 kids (kids meals) and vegetarians.

I'm currently on Paleo and for Mother's Day, my parents wanted to go out for dinner. We couldn't decide where to go because of me (guilty!!!) but we decided to go to Tustin Marketplace due to the choice of restaurants in one sitting. Picked G Burger since I could easily customize to order with no bun, sauce, etc. I was super excited to find that everything was made to order so I definitely took advantage of that due to my dietary restriction. I had their garlic spinach burger paleo-style (no bun/sauce/pesto/etc) and they definitely took care of that for me. Some burger places will give you a tiny amount of lettuce to replace the bun but this place gave me a HUGE piece--which helped when you really want to eat your burger like a regular burger (I didn't lol). Their angus beef was perfection, everything tasted yummy, and they were super nice and considerate and were honest to let me know what they put in their food. Will be back to have a regular burger after my paleo challenge is done for sure!

I really like this place. Tried it out on the first day. Just got a cheeseburger. The patty was nice and juicy. Fries were very good as well. Definitely be going back to try the other burgers Went back and tried the G fire burger. Great burger. Pretty good kick. the mi of peppers and chilis gave the burger a great flavor. The spicy aioli was fantastic. Onion rings were great also. Also got the Parmesean fries, they were good but not great. I would stick to the regular fries.

My husbands burger was raw and mine was undercooked, we both ordered medium but they were not even close. We didn't like the bread and butter pickles. With all of the other gourmet burger places popping up, I'd rather go somewhere else. Hook Burger and Smash Burger are way better. We will not be going back to G Burger or as I call it "Gross Burger".

I finally came here after seeing my friends try this place out. I saw pictures of the G burger and immediately wanted to try it at least once. When I ordered the G burger the girl at the register smirked and told me "you are aware that it comes with 2 patties and everything on top." I told her yea it's no biggie. When the burger came out I was shocked at how big it was. I am approximately 5' 10'' and the burger was about 2/3 the length of my entire forearm. The girl who brought the burger out had to give me instruction on how to eat the burger. The burger itself was pretty good, but it's a bit too oily. The french fries that came with the meal was pretty good. It was not too salty and was seasoned nicely. The restaurant itself is fairly small and there aren't too many seats; however, there is an entire outdoor area where you can sit and eat. I liked the food, but it's pretty expensive for just burgers and fries. I would recommend people coming here once or twice to check it out, but I would rather go to in-n-out which is significantly cheaper.

Really good addition to the marketplace. We ran across this place as we were searching for a quick dinner. Usually I stay away from burger joints since I don't eat red meat, but the aroma coming out of this place drew me in. I was happy to see that they had a rosemary turkey burger, but wasn't expecting much since turkey burger options are usually bland. We both ordered the turkey burger. It was actually huge, way more than I needed, but it was quite flavorful. Another great thing for people like me with gluten sensitivities is that you can ask for your burger to be wrapped in lettuce rather than a bun. I wasn't falling over myself about their fries like others, but they were good as well. I love that this place has quality options for vegetarians and people who don't eat red meat. I will say that the inside is a little too loud for me. Fortunately, they have plenty of outdoor seating that they share with the other eateries.

Their fire burger is the best I've eaten yet. The buns, the dressing, the fire sauce, the well done meat.... everything is great. Not a big fan of burger joints, but I happily go here any time.

Bar none the absolute best burger I've ever had. My son had cheeseburger, my wife had hamburger, and I had the Spinach Garlic Burger. There was absolutely no talking during lunch as we silently marveled at the brilliance of the perfectly done, perfectly spiced, and excellently fixed delights. The onion rings and Parmesan garlic fries were equally marvelous. Move over Five Guys!

This place is by far the best burger joint. I have been going to g burger for like three years. They have one in la habra and Westminster too. Make sure you get the g style fries too. The g burger in la habra is the best one and the original.

8 of us went to G Burgers on a Friday night at 6pm. It wasn't too crowded yet. It's a small place in side, but there is plenty of seating outside. You order at the counter and a friendly person brings out your food. The people were nice, the place was clean and tidy. Best of all, the food was delicious. Most of us got the regular burger. You can order burgers medium or well. We asked for our sweet potato fries and regular fries to be cooked extra crispy. They did and they were great! Dad got the pastrami sandwich and said it was quite good. They kind of brought out the food piece meal, as it was ready. It was a little odd, but the upside was that everything was piping hot! Everyone was happy and said they would return.

Food is good. Servers hang out with each other in the kitchen chit chatting. One blond kid brush his hair with his bare hand to smooth it out. I told him straight up to wash his hand right away and not to be the one to serve me my food. Totally gross.

  • J C.

The burgers are quite delicious but it takes them more than 30 minutes on a not so busy night to get the order out. They need to make the food faster.

Great burger! Service was very pleasant and quick. The fries, onion rings and zucchini we're also great. Everything was cooked just the way you ordered it, they must actually show the cooks how to properly cook a burger medium. Terrific experience, I would highly recommend.

I am not a fan of hamburgers and to me they all taste the same except G Burger. I was very impressed with their hamburger. I must say that this is the best hamburger I've ever had. I ordered the sweet potato fries with my order and they were good. The place is small but there are lots of tables outside. This is a mini food court area so there are other places to order from for others in your party who don't care for hamburgers. But I insist on how delicious the food was here.

  • Ramona A.

Disappointed! Been waiting for this location to open up since we have been driving alllll the way to La Habra which is their original location. Our burgers came out cooked almost to well done even though we ordered it to be cooked as medium. The fries were soaking in oil as they were delivered to our table about 15 minutes after our burgers came out and that was AFTER another 20 minutes of waiting for our burgers. The place was not packed at all so couldn't figure out what the hold up with our order was all about. Do not come here with the expectations of ordering sweet tator tots or chili fries. They don't have that on their menu anymore like they always had it at their La Habra location and this was one of the reasons why we loved G Burger. Oh and they increased their prices. Hmmm, maybe because they think they can get away with it since they are now in Irvine?!?

Just had my first G Burger and have found my new favorite burger joint. Wow, they make a killer burger! Fresh, high quality meat cooked to perfection. I'll be back, again and again I'm afraid. Lucky I live just around the corner.

Where do I begin.... When I go to a fast food burger place and pay $11 for a burger, fries and water I expect it to be epic. It was not. The burger was good, but definitely not great. The patty was decently seasoned and the meat tasted of quality. The trimmings were standard. But then we get to the bun. The bun was totally uninspired. I must admit that when ordering a burger that costs more than $4 I am a complete bun snob. A gourmet burger requires a brioche bun. It is that simple. Would you go to war with a squirt gun? Not if you want to win. If you are not using a brioche bun on your burger the highest level you can achieve is good. And, what is so bad about that, it's a good burger after all - right? Bullspit! For less than the $6 dollars this "good" burger costs I can have an equally tasty burger from about 10 other places that will cost me half as much and not require me to wait as long. Moving on. The sweet potato fries were delicious. However, if you can't slice, fry, and season a tuber you need help. Good fries are simply the mark of a competent kitchen staff, no imagination is needed. So I award nor deduct stars for having good fries. Finally, G Burger avoids traditional burger norms by putting spinach on their burgers instead of lettuce. Let that soak in for a minute. Spinach instead of lettuce. Somebody was hit in the head with a shovel and never fully recovered. As a Master Chef/Top Chef fan I can hear Gordon Ramsey somewhere in distance saying "That's a shame." I am visualizing Joe Bastianich throwing the entire plate into the garbage can with an emphatic "Thanks for nothing!" In conclusion G Burger is an adequate burger (without the spinach) at an extraordinary price. If you are rolling in dough, eat here, otherwise you have a lot of options in this price range that will serve you better.

I really liked this burger. I had the truffle burger YUM! The meat was cooked to perfection, juicy tasty meaty goodness. I also tried the garlic fries and sweet potato fries. Both were yummy, but somewhat average for those items. Mmm Ill be back for another burger!

  • ashley c.

My mom makes a better burger. The burger was over seasoned with pepper. There was some kind of thousand island-ish mayo on the bun which made the lettuce slightly soggy. The red onions were cut so thick, they slid out every time I tried to eat the burger. We got the combo, so it came with fries. Not sure how to describe the fries... they were not greasy but had more of a thick outer shell like feel. Not really sure what the G stands for... it sure isn't for gourmet!

  • Maria L.

Had this 2 days in a row and I really do love the white truffle burger. It's a bit oily but the flavor is really good. I love the mushrooms & bell peppers that add flavor and texture to the burger. I also had the Parmesan fries and the sweet potato fries. The Parmesan fries were kinda soggy (maybe coz we got it to go) and although there was a lot of cheese on it, it was only ok. I did prefer the sweet potato fries which were a little crunchier and tasted even better dipped in ranch dressing (but doesn't everything?!?!) Hubby had the cheeseburger with a bunch of added toppings to it and the onion rings. He seemed to enjoy his burger and said he liked it a lot. He did say he would've preferred if it was on a brioche bun so the bread doesn't get all soggy with the meat juice & sauce. He really liked the onion rings which were nice and crispy... tasted even better dipped in the chipotle bbq sauce. Over all, I would go back for the white truffle burger & sweet potato fries. Not quite Umami quality but less complicated than The Counter and a lot closer to our house. I see another white truffle burger in my near future!

I just started writing this review after I inhaled my burger. In fact, it was so good and I was so pumped to eat that I didn't even notice the fresh piece of bird shit right next to my basket. Yuck. Anyway, I don't really care for burgers. I eat them once every like 50 years, but I think I'll be going back to G Burger for my lunch breaks now. I've only had the G Fire Burger, but from what I've been told everything is good. The G Fire Burger is definitely spicy to the casual spicy eater, but it's got a nice kick for those who like a little heat. The patties, even at well done, are still juicy. I've had it both lettuce wrapped and in a bun and both were equally tasty. It does get a little greasy, however. So, if you don't like getting messy then you've been told. It gets really crowded at lunch, so be prepared to wait. Requesting extra aioli will also cost you some change too.

Really good burgers and Fries! You can add your own toppings to make it your own. I ordered a turkey burger, which is one of the best I've had in a long time. They add the most amazing seasoning to it and the sauce is incredible. I will be back!

It was my 2nd time coming to this place after over a year so I didn't have much expectations. There's a good amount of options and I choose to get the Portobello mushroom burger complemented with a side of sweet potato fries, which was just great. Unsure how the meat selection options are but a veggie patty is also available if one does not like mushrooms or meat. I would recommend this spot.

I would have added a star if not for the long wait and the mishap with our order. However, the burgers are really good here. The white truffle burger was super flavorful. VERY greasy though. If you let your burger sit for too long it will definitely get soggy. Anyway, what happened was that my husband ordered a cheeseburger with sharp cheddar and a jumbo egg, but they mistakenly must have heard G Burger. We should have put two and two together when the total cost was much higher than it should have been (especially with the Yelp free drink check-in offer), but it was a misunderstanding on both sides. So that explained why it took so long for our order to come out because the G Burger takes longer to prepare. When they processed the refund they didn't include a credit for the tax. But they gave is a free order of sweet potato fries, so that was nice. They were great. I actually liked the sweet potato fries a lot more than the G Style fries we actually ordered. Not enough bacon on those and I wasn't a fan of their grilled onions, and I normally like grilled onions. In spite of a rocky first visit, I would come back. Maybe not too often though because this stuff can't be too good for you!

Delicious! If you like a good burger, this is the place. They have elevated the burger experience. The fries were ok but you must try the beer battered zucchini. Worth the price overall.

Had to decide whether to go to The Counter or G Burger, so I chose this place. I got the Spinach and Garlic burger and it was pretty great. My friend got the G Fries and I got the Parmesean Garlic Fries and they were both fresh and crispy, one of the best fries I've ever had. They also came with the chipotle sauce and it was hella good. Only downsides of this place would be the seating inside, but there are plenty of tables outside.

Ordered the Truffle Burger ($9) because that's their most popular item. The Truffle Burger consists of 100% fresh Angus beef, grilled portobello mushrooms, roasted bell peppers, asiago cheese, white truffle oil and garlic aioli. Not a bad gourmet burger, but not as good as Umami or Father's Office. The burger itself was pretty big, and I liked the bun, but the actual meat patty was overcooked (I requested medium rare but got medium). The fries were really tasty and seasoned well. I'd come back, but probably wouldn't go out of my way for it. It doesn't stand out enough for me as far as gourmet burgers go. I'd still rather go to In-n-out, which is just across the street and much cheaper!

I've had my fair share of burgers, and I'm very impressed with this place. I tried this place out with 2 other good friends, and we ordered non beef burgers. I ordered rosemary turkey, and my friends both ordered veggie burgers. Both were amazing! Both were very juicy, fresh, and flavorful. I'm hoping to try out their beef burgers eventually, but I'm tempted to stick with the turkey rosemary. That's how good it was. We also decided to pig out and order 3 sides (and we couldn't finish them). We had the onion rings, sweet potato fries, and garlic parmesan fries and they were all good. I practically enjoyed them more than the burgers! Of the three, I would say that the garlic parmesan fries were my least favorite. The sweet potato fries came with a spicy aioli that complemented the sweetness really well. And the blue cheese sauce came with the onion rings that also matched the crunchiness of the rings amazingly. Long story short: definitely give this place a try!

    (5)
  • Sara N.

The burger was meaty and juicy but the patty had no seasoning But the parmesan garlic fries on the other hand was HEAVY with seasoning let me tell u I couldn't even finish it I guess it's a good place to try will I be back? probably not it's not worth all the hype it okie *shrugs*

Decent burger place. Got the cheeseburger and added egg, bacon and avocado. Although the called it a giant egg,it was pretty tiny. My friend order the same thing and they forgot the egg. My friends order a burger with avocado, and they forgot to add it on. So someone was sleeping in the kitchen. We all got zucchini and that was very average too. No big reason to go back with so many other burger places around. The prices are also high for the quality of product you receive.

This burger place hits the spot so right! I can not explain my love for the burgers they make here!!!! Let's get started with the location.. It's in the irvine market place and on the other side of target.. There are a lot of other food chains near by like Baja Fresh. I have tried the basic and the truffle burger and god they are both so juicy and so delicious... GET THE ROASTED PEPPERS on your burger. I feel like the quality of the burger was just like umani's burger if not better, but cheaper! Which is amazing.. The fries were pretty good too. You need to go try the burgers here asap ! I took a friend here and she is a snob when it comes to burgers and was very happy with her order. Her usual line of my dad makes a better burger didn't emerge, instead she thanked me for taking her here and introducing this place to her :-) Do your self a favor and try g burgers your taste buds with thank you!

Burgers are pretty good. Think of it as a closer Umami burger. Two drawbacks. 1 not enough seats. They put in "communal tables". And you know what that means. Three people take up the space of eight. 2. Fries are horribly salty. They're going to kill me. They're the pre mixed battered fries. That's the only thing stopping it from getting four stars.

Had the Caprese burger and the regular fries. The burger a bit undercooked and fries over done. Still tasted ok but not a great value $12!!!!

Tried the truffle burger and zucchini fries. Loved the truffle burger! The patty is juicy and I enjoyed the flavor combination of truffle oil, portobello mushrooms, roasted red peppers and Parmesan cheese. I ordered it medium and thought it was a little too pink, so next time I'll order it medium well. The zucchini fries were just okay. They are quarter slices, so very large, and came with about 8 pieces, which my husband and I couldn't finish even tho we shared a burger. The portion size was generous but the batter lacked flavor for me, even with the ranch dipping sauce. The place is pretty small on the inside. Lucky for us, it wasn't too busy for Friday lunch. But I can see how the line can easily get backed up. The large menu they have up on the board doesn't list all the ingredients, which would be better. Id like to come back and try some other things on the menu!

One of the most delicious burgers - it's on my favorites list from just one try! The Caprese burger is divine! Tip: ask for the garlic aioli on the side, you'll get more! Tip 2: medium rare = pretty bloody. I went with medium per their suggestion. -1/2 star bc our burgers came out a little overcooked, mine was closer to well done. -1/2 star bc they seem understaffed. Our fries came way late, I had to ask them again about them. Overall, I will go again & suggest to others!

Ordered the Cheeseburger with teriyaki onions, bacon, cheddar and avocado. Burger was solid. Very juicy! The fries reminded me of the old school Rally Burger fries, which were pretty delicious. Price point was reasonable for the quality provided. Gburger was an overall solid choice. 4 stars.

The food was great, I was really impressed. That's why I don't want to leave a bad review, but one of the employees was really shady. After signing my credit card receipt and not filling in the tip section, I receive a notification from my bank saying the meal was $3 more than on my printed receipt. I watched this person do the same thing to the next person in line. $3 isn't the end of the world, but that's not acceptable, or ethically okay. I'll be back because the food is outstanding - just not to this location. 4 stars for the food, -1 for the shady employee.

Honestly, I thought it was a bit hyped up. It wasn't all that... A bit pricey for a burger and some fries.

The burgers are nice. I mean they taste good. You know the quality is top notch. However, I wouldn't come here again, or often because... Well it just isn't really worth it for me to pay so much for a "burger". It is one thing for a burger to taste good, but there is another thing called satisfaction/enjoyment. Taste is 8/10 but enjoyment is 5/10 at best. I would rather get In N out which in my opinion is a better overall experience type of burger. A basic cheese burger and fries cost me over 10 dollars. I can get a medium drink, double double, and fries for half that at In N Out.

Oh myyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy! This place is pretty good! Ok, pretty tasty! We came here a week or two ago and decided to try out as much as we could. We had the Caprese Burger, the G Fire Burger, the Fried Zucchinis, the G Style Fries, and because they made extra we got some regular Fries with their G Seasoning. First, personally I felt that the G Style Fries here were a little over-rated after reading all of the reviews. They were good, don't get me wrong, but they were just Animal Style Fries from In-N-Out without the ability to ask for them well-done (I like a sturdier fry to be able to hold all the toppings on) and with Bacon. Of course bacon does make everything better, but I don't know if I would choose these again over some of the other items. Next, please get the Fried Zucchinis and please make sure to eat one while they are hot, even if you are taking your meal to go. These are the reason I will be coming back to G Burger very soon. Also if you are taking these to go, handle with care! You don't want to accidentally shake all the breading off before you get home! The G Fire Burger actually had a decent spicy flavor to it; nothing that is going to knock you down but enough to where you get to taste some spice. I always like things spicier, but for what this was it was great. The only thing I was a little sad about was the Caprese Burger. I don't feel like I actually got to taste much of the ingredients besides the avocado and the meat. To explain, avocado is very delicious and I will pay extra to have this placed on everything. However when it is all I can taste when trying something new, it leaves me a little sad that I couldn't taste the mozzarella or even the garlic aoili that well. Despite that, it was still a tasty burger but I think I will try another one next time. Lastly, the Fries with G Seasoning. Decent fries with decent seasoning, nothing bad but not mind blowing. This is still a good place to check out if you like burgers and I will be coming back here again soon. I need to try their Onion Rings next!

Good burgers. Good place for lunch. I've come here serval times with coworkers and friends. Service is quick. Not a fancy sit down type restaurant but definitely a step up from fast food. Located in the tustin market place so there are a variety of other restaurants nearby as well as yogurtland next door I like the mushroom burger. They will customize sauces and toppings easily which is nice.

There are sooooo many gourmet burger places now, that I would assume this one would really stand out, since it is situated next to many, many other options. I sadly was not as impressed as all the other reviewers. Let's list the issues: 1. Tiny location = poor space planning: poor seating arrangements, only one bathroom, where the line gets crowded right in front of the beverages. UGH! 2. Kids Mini-Burgers plus chesse (extra $1) - Cheese wasn't melted at all, wtf? Was not told that fries came with it, so I ordered extra that we did not need. I hate wasting money! UGH! 3. The portabello mushroom burger... was soggy as fuck. I mean it was good, but I've had better... I ended up paying $23.... should have gone anywhere else.

I was pleasantly surprised with the burgers here! As someone who doesn't usually crave burgers, I was able to find something on the menu that appealed to me and add on additional toppings as I wished. In addition, I appreciated the fact that they offered chicken sandwiches, veggie burgers & salads, as I came with one friend who doesn't eat meat. I ordered the traditional hamburger with angus beef, tomatoes, red onion, mixed greens, pickles and signature 1001 dressing. You can add on extra toppings for $1-3 each, so I also added on a fried egg. My burger was delicious!! It was perfectly cooked and the ingredients tasted great together. I was only able to eat half, so you'll definitely be full after the burger, which cost $5 + $1 for the egg. I also ordered a side of garlic parmesan fries for $5, which I sadly was not as impressed by. The fries themselves were pretty typical, but with the addition of garlic parmesan for $2.50, I expected them to taste significantly different. Instead, the garlic parmesan was just sprinkled on and didn't really stick to the fries, so I felt like I was just eating regular fries that were slightly garlic-y. I would just recommend sticking with the regular fries next time. The great thing about G burger is the ability to customize your burger and to add on additional toppings. I would definitely recommend giving this place a try if you're craving a burger that is flavorful and unique.

Plain and simple: you get what you pay for. I got the six dollar cheeseburger and it was a six dollar cheeseburger. Mine came out a little dry but nothing worth complaining about per se. I did not try the fries but they looked really good. They have lots of condiments on the table to choose from. I'd be interested to see (taste) what their more expensive burgers are all about, but I'm not sure I was impressed to the point that I want to come back. It just is what it is! If you're going for the cheaper burger, just go to In&Out.

This place was amazing!!! The fried zucchini's were so so good and the caprese burger is to die for!! Whenever I'm trying to think of a place to eat and I can't decide g burger is the place to go! I've actually tried all fries and they are delicious and the different burgers are so diverse and yummy! Also the customer service is so good and the workers are so nice and welcoming! Thanks for the awesome experience(s)!!!

Visited this location right when it opened. Its more convenient than the original location because it is located right off the highway where as the original one in La Habra requires mostly side streets. Fountain valley one recently opened, so I must try that one next. I got the G Burger. I just wanted to try EVERYTHING. I love spicy, so I asked them to make it spicy as well. If you are deciding toppings, definitely add the egg. Egg is a must have in a burger. The g burger is no joke, its a G, its HUGE, flavorful and amazing. It'll run you just a little over 20bucks if you add fries and a drinks. Expensive? na, worth it. Don't ever order a burger at a restaurant, just go here if you ever feel like doing that.

Prior to eating here for lunch, I had heard a lot of great things about the G Burger in La Habra. Unfortunately, that's a little out of the way for me, so I'm glad G Burger expanded its reach to Irvine. I ordered the G Fire Burger ($9), fries ($2.50), and got a free soft drink from the Yelp check-in special. I was assuming the G Fire Burger would be like every other restaurant burger-- billed as spicy, but only having a mild burn, at best. Not this time, this burger was serious business. Once I took a bite, I loved how the peppers mixed nicely with the pepper jack cheese and the tender medium-well patties. With each bite, the spice level increased. It got to a point where I just started sweating at the table. I can't remember the last time that happened. For those who know me, I always say that I like my food so spicy that I start sweating (a slight case of masochism, maybe?). This did it. For that, I applaud G Burger for making a burger that actually made me suffer. Not only was it really spicy, it was piping hot. Double the pain and pleasure. That's what I like! Also, I heard previous reviewers mention how your burger drips grease. It does. You can get the most of your sinful, yet guilt-free pleasure here if you're having a cheat meal. Triple like. Just prepare for your diet to go awry afterwards. Aside from the burger, I thought the fries were pretty good. I just thought it was strange how they delivered them to my table first, then brought out the burger later. What happened to the classic American food pairing? Unless I'm having bottomless fries at Red Robin, this doesn't make much sense to me. Also, the booths were really small. I was constantly brushing up against my friend. And the service was decent, at best. For the most part, I think the workers are inexperienced high school students or college freshmen. All in all, an enjoyable meal. However, I think the prices are pretty steep for what you get, so unless I'm really craving a burger that seductively drips oil and burns me up, I'll happily stick to The Habit. 3.5 stars rounded up to 4.

First time at the Irvine location. Right off the main difference from the La Habra location was the size of the burger. I usually order a hamburger or a cheeseburger in La Habra. Here I ordered a cheeseburger and it was HUGE!!! Its like they purposely pack on a bunch of lettuce to make the burger sit 8 inches tall. Crazy!! I prefer how they prepare their cheeseburger in La Habra, where it is more human sized and not the monstrous burger that is made to look huge by adding a bunch of lettuce. Besides that the burger was very good. I think La Habra is better.

Great burgers. We had the basic which was very delicious. We also had the Rosemary turkey burger was very flavorful almost better than the basic. The sweet potato fries are great and come with a wonderful spicy sauce, but ask for bbq sauce to add a little sweet compliment to it. The spicy sauce is great to dip your burger too.

Oh G Burger... What to write. So let me first off by saying I like burgers like every other real man does. Something about meat and a toasted bun accompanied with a plethora of mothers natures secret stuff just get me all full inside. I ordered a classic cheeseburger I know lame, but I wanted to keep it G ratedm, see what I did there! I added some mushrooms because I like fungi on my burgers. It came with onions, tomatoes, lettuce, and probably one of the best sliced pickles I have ever had! Like ever, and I do not even like pickles. Ok it is not that I do not like pickles it is just I don't care for them. But for this I hella cared for like it was my little child. I also ordered the G fries. All I have to say is order those G fries. If you like animal style from In N Out that is exactly what these fries are. I think they are slightly better here, sorry In N Out just keeping it real since 87. I would like to give this place 4.5 stars but yelp does not allow it (insert sad face) . Would I come back again, I sure would.

The food is good... but it's not great. There is nothing wrong with the food or anything whatsoever. I just think there's better burgers for cheaper price. I got the G Burger and it was good. No problems but it's fifteen dollars. It is absurb to pay fifteen for a good burger. I, honestly, would rather go to BurgerStop and pay five and receive the same satisfaction for a fraction of the cost. The sides are good - I love their onion rings and french fries. Overall, I would come back but only if I were with some friends that wanted to come. Personally, this would not be my first choice if I were craving a burger.

Stop by here to get some dumplings but it turned out the restaurant closed. This place used to be Dumpling house. Was intrigue by the name "G Burger" and never had it, thought to give it a try. This is what I ordered for the family: Hamburger with a fried egg add on, G style fries, kids meal (Chicken Nuggets, came with fries and a drink), and Caprese burger. It was delicious and greasy! My husband and I felt like we gained 10 pounds after eating all that but it was well worth it. Good thing we didn't go else where and to give this place a try.

Stopped in with a friend to grab a bite to eat and was pleasantly surprised. G Burger is tucked in one of the many shopping centers in Irvine and I honestly wasn't expecting much since it had a more casual vibe and is situated next to Panda Express and yogurtland. I tried the white truffle burger and the G fries and both were excellent!! The portion sizes are generous and you will definitely leave feeling satisfied! I would one back just for the G fries if I am in the area again...they were awesome!!

Back story-- Normally, I avoid the Tustin Marketplace simply because every (big-box) store it has can just be found elsewhere in Irvine, closer to me. But, now that G Burger has entered my life, I have a real reason to go to the Tustin Marketplace. Last night, I had the kind of hunger that only a good cheeseburger could fully satisfy. Over the past couple of years, my burger consumption has unfortunately pretty much boiled down to 3 different places: In-N-Out, Carl's Jr., and Umami Burger. I like each place for different reasons, but this repetition of burger consumption has made me forget the whole middle-priced market of burgers, ones that better and more expensive than fast food, but not as gourmet and pricey as Umami. G Burger rests perfectly in this middle ground. FOOD-- Looking over the menu, none of G Burger's pre-assembled burgers sounded very appealing to me at the time, so I opted for a traditional cheeseburger topped with sharp cheddar, tomato, red onion, and their "1001 Island" spread. I was also curious to try their fries, so I made it a combo and the total came to ~$11. I really like how they even ask how you like your meat cooked, so they can get it just the way you want. After 10 minutes, a server brought to my table my freshly assembled order. The burger is pretty big and surprisingly heavy, maybe an 8 oz patty. With juice coming out the sides of the burger, I took a bite and was impressed at how they actually got my burger the perfect medium rare that I had requested. Great job! The toasted bun was good, it seemed fresh. Meanwhile, the beef has a very good, intense beef flavor if that makes sense. Other times, I've noticed, when you eat a burger, you barely taste the meat at all and are only getting flavor from the toppings. But that is not the case at G Burger; the beef was centerstage, for sure. If I had to criticize the burger in any way, it would be that it's pretty messy to eat. But, more napkins could take care of that; my server brought me only two. I thought the sharp cheddar could also be more sharp, since I like a really funky-sharp cheese to contrast the rich meat when I have a burger--but that's just splitting hairs. As for the fries, I think they are better than most restaurant fries, but they're not my favorite. I of course ate a whole bunch, though. They are tasty and seasoned well, with a good crispiness to them. I was surprised at the large size of the order of fries. Portions at G Burger are definitely filling. Next time I'll probably get just a burger if I'm by myself or share an order of fries if I'm with someone. I'll never get this much food for myself again. I also tried a few of their sweet potato fries and they were some of the best I've ever had. They were extremely crispy, and come with a great chipotle aioli that contrasts the sweetness perfectly. Closing remarks-- I liked G Burger a lot and I will definitely be back soon. Next time I go, I want to get a bacon cheeseburger topped with red onion, tomato and avocado. I'm also curious to try their onion rings, so I'll get some of those. The price of G Burger is attractive and the portions are more than satisfying. And, I was pleasantly surprised at how nice and clean their bathroom was. I can't wait to return to G Burger and recommend it wholeheartedly to anyone who likes burgers half as much as I do.

The food was good and the price was right but the add ons like zucchini and fries were expensive, 35.00 for 2 for lunch. Other than that it was good.

I don't know what the G in G Burger stands for but I'd say that good, great, gangsta and grubbin' all fit the bill. I found this delicious burger joint located in the plaza area of a large mall with lots of big box stores which I don't typically frequent...but being a tourist driving through town I discovered this gem on Yelp. I stopped in a immediately knew by the delicious smell of the patties being cooked that it was the right choice. I decided to stick to the basics and ordered a bacon cheeseburger, medium rare with fries to go. After about 10 minutes my order was ready and I sheepishly walked to car know that I'd have to enjoy this guicy burger on the road in bite size increments. This was hard to do because it was so delicious and perfectly cooked. The french fries had a great seasoning to them and I doused them in hot sauce before leaving which was perfect. Miles up the road I was sad to take my last bite but enjoyed every single one along the way.

Sure why not, call me fan. This was my first time trying GBurger, and I had a good impression. Today was opening day, and the place was packed. There's definitely no shortage of these "fast-casual slash upscale slash gourmet" burgers in LA/OC, that's for sure. I do love a good burger and I think I have a decent idea of what of a good burger should taste like (I'm a burger judge for the World Food Championships in Vegas). worldfoodchampionships.c… *Thumbs up* I thought that there was a good amount of flavor in my hamburger with teriyaki glazed onions. The burger was nicely sized for about $5 + the extra 50 cents for the onions. I liked how the bun soaked up all the meat juices and the house dressing (the usual 1K dressing type, half ketchup half mayo concoction) tied it all together. Decent sized patty with that angus beef flavor, with a kiss of flame broiled flavor. The patty was reasonably juicy, and cooked a perfect medium. All patties are cooked medium by default, unless you tell them otherwise. I was full after just eating the burger with nothing else (trying to keep away from fries so my 2-pack can shine through and become more defined). *Thumbs down* The onions aren't quite as caramelized as I would like, but that's nitpicking. They're more like big slices about the halfway point of caramelization. They do just advertise "glazed" onions and not caramelized. Also, it's not the prettiest looking burger out there. But hey, minor quibbles. I will be back to try their other burgers and perhaps splurge on their sides like the garlic parm or G Style fries. Located in the food court area at the Market Place.

Man, the burgers here are JUICY. It's too bad we ate Buca right before hanging out with my brother, sister-in-law and nephews, because I started getting hungry sitting in there watching them eat the other day. We came once before and it was money. I got the white truffle burger and my wife had a cheeseburger. Yeah, it's a bit pricey but we both enjoyed our burgers. We also ordered the garlic parmesan fries. These were a bit disappointing - it seems they used Kraft parmesan or something. This would have been so much better with the real stuff. I'm salivating thinking about this, so I'm going to have to cut this short.

  • Josh H.

Unfortunately it needs a few dollar price drop in order to stand out. The sweet potato fries are a highlight but can only be ordered as a $4 side -- can't be included or upgraded with a combo purchase. Burgers and sandwiches were good, but nothing to wow about. They lose when it comes to the bun and if you go the spicy route, be warned, the spice kills any other flavors. For burger + sweet potato + a drink you are looking to spend around $13-$15. Get that closer to $10 and its great. Until then, not worth it IMO

G Burger. I assume the G stands for gourmet, though I also assume it DOES say gourmet, but failed to pay attention. Clear cut? This is a higher-scale burger place in deed. And when you're in the mood for that, places like Umami and Counter come to mind, and this place stacks right up with them... including the price. $13 for a burger "any way" you want it is a little steep for me, but I"m reminded of the $12 truffle burger I ordered from Umami, and the $14 burger I Ordered from the counter... Looks like cheap/burger are no longer co-existent, unless you want some pink slime. But let's face facts.... a good burger is a good burger, and this place is a good burger... ...hmmm, maybe that's why they call it G Burger? (welcome to good burger.... home of the....) Oh.. and the fries and onion rings were crispy and hot... anything else, they're would be an issue. (PS: 5 ALARM BURGER? Not hot... a little disappointing in heat, but a burger that is asked to be cooked medium rare, and given to you medium rare? DELICIOUS. And the peppers, while not providing heat, did provide a lot of good flavor)

Today I was pleasantly surprised that our "G" menu had expanded their vegetarian options. I had a mouthwatering portobello mushroom burger exploding with flavors of basil and a juicy mushroom center. Definitely a must to try. On a side note: when I was a carnivore, I loved the caprese burger! I'm so happy the G is in my neck of the woods now!

*** MUST TRY THE G STYLE FRIES. Reminds me of In-n-outs animal style fries but with tastier french fries. I also ordered the cheeseburger which was pretty good, not the best but not bad. Cheese Burger was $6, G style fries $5. Will come back for the fries!

  • Marie E.

Got a cheeseburger with pineapple, side of onion rings and their G fries. Cheeseburger - was supposed to be medium - came out medium rare. Pineapple tasted like they took it straight from the can and put it on the burger (I thought it was supposed to be grilled?). Lettuce tasted like dirt. Tomatoes and pickles were whatever and the cheese stuck to the bottom of the bun. (Here's a hint: when grilling burgers, might be a good idea to toast the bun so it doesn't get soggy). Onion Rings - Very tasty, would give this 5 stars! G Fries - wanna be In-n-out animal style and clearly do not compare AT ALL. Waste of money. Again, soggy and not worth it.

Three words: white; truffle; burger. Words cannot describe how amazingly delicious this burger is!! I stumbled upon Irvine location on accident and couldn't be happier! I'd had a friend bring me some from their first location and even though it was cold, that white truffle was still like crack to me!! I had the chance to have one, hot & fresh, and who was I to deny my stomach something so amazing?? In any case, I hear there's another Fountain Valley location opening up - my neck of the woods!! My poor thighs.. they won't know what's about to hit them but I will have no regrets. Definitely a must-try!!

Great burgers worth every penny. I've had the cheeseburger and the truffle burger. I tend to go for the truffle burger every time and order it medium. It's becoming more popular and they tend to have a long wait so be prepared for that. If you're eating alone you may want to reconsider ordering a side as the burger is usually filling enough, or share a side if you're with someone.

G burger is like Umami burger but bigger in portions and not as expensive. The staff was friendly and very helpful with all my questions. I ordered the caprese burger and my boyfriend got the white truffle with the onions rings and zucchini fries. Omg. The burger just melts in your mouth and the onion rings and zucchini fries were just perfect. I will definitely be going back. :)

I so wanted to give this place a higher rating but in all fairness, could not muster up more than 3 stars. I came here on Sunday around 6 PM and it wasn't too packed. I ordered the cheeseburger combo meal and a side of onion rings. The burger itself packs quite a punch and they do not skimp on the meat! The patty was pretty big and I could taste it was high quality. However, I felt that the bun was a bit too much (dense) and took away from the rest of the burger. It was a pleasant surprise when I discovered avocado in my burger despite it being considered an extra! The fries were mediocre at best - I despise lukewarm, soggy fries and unfortunately, these fell under that category. The onion rings were overly breaded and were lukewarm/soggy as well. I really, really wanted to like this place but probably won't be coming back. I'm still a sucker for the McDouble ;)

I will update later to verify if this is a five star joint. Grand opening and it was busy, so I decided to do the Chipotle chicken sandwich, which really had flavor. The great thing was, I was able to see the cooks make the sandwich freshly and the grill marks brought out a nice char flavor. The toppings were fresh and gave a subtle kick of peppers as well as the cheese. The fries were seasoned with sea salt and other garlic garnishing's. You really had a mix of different flavors when biting into the fries. Plan on going back ASAP for a burger, so stay tuned!

I remember finding the original G Burger in La Habra when it had like 30-40 Yelp reviews. It was amazing. What a discovery in the middle of nowhere. But since then, the hype took over and the prices went up each time I visited. And all of sudden it sort wasn't worth the money or the drive. Of course they opened new locations but this Irvine location doesn't have that original hole in the wall feel. And the burger was mediocre too. The bun was so so and the patty felt a bit dry. The service was just ok at best. I'll stick with my new favorite burger joint- the Habit.

I was never really a big fan of burgers until I found out about this place. Their bleu cheese burgers and G fries are just addictive.

Put me into a delicious coma. They make one hell of a burger. I don't know what they put into the burger I just had but it had to be illegal it was so good. Probably a majestic unicorn or a liger (half lion, half tiger).

The food was good and the fires are so tasty. The only down side would be the price and the customer service. But food is great and if you go, go by yourself and enjoy.

Hasn't been the same since my first time. I always get the same burger: cheeseburger (bleu cheese) with bacon and over easy egg, cooked medium rare. Side of sweet potato fries The burger has been getting greasier every time, i think this last time was just a bit too much for me. It's good, but it just feels like there's too much going on. I'll go back, but next time, I want to eat the portabella burger with a meat patty. I'll let you know how that goes. Also, make sure to use your yelp check in for a free tiny drink.

Expensive fast food. The burger I ordered tasted so-so. The onion rings taste to me like they were pre-made and frozen. I took a bite and threw the rest away.

I got a veggie burger, so I suppose it would be hard for me to review this place for what it really is...beef! However, my boyfriend loves burgers so it was an excellent choice for him. I got the veggie burger which was actually very good..it was rice based. Usually when I get veggie burgers at restaurants they are really goopy and terrible, but this one was not bad! I also got the Parmesan fries which were delicious! My boyfriend got a huge burger with two burger patties and the toppings- cheddar cheese, onion rings, bacon, and a fried egg. I'm not sure how he was able to even bite it, but he thoroughly enjoyed it!

Here is our experience at G Burger: It's a Saturday evening and we wanted to try this place out because a friend recommended it to us. We are fans of Slaters 50/50 and In n Out, so this place seemed like it would be right up our alley. There was one table available and when we walked in I wanted to grab it, but the girl at the front stated that we needed to order first. Okay, we did. Meantime, the table was taken. So now there's a long bar like table that we could sit at possibly. We ordered our food and the bill for two burgers (one double cheeseburger one truffle burger) two small drinks and two fries (one G fries) was $32. They gave us a number like Carls Jr does and we sit at the uncomfortable bar table. Luckily a table opened up. The tables are small, four people would barely fit (for reference for families or two couples - you'll be cozy) We waited for our food which didn't take too long (a plus) and when it arrived looked pretty good. The burgers are large and cooked nicely for med rare. Here's where it gets messy, and I mean really messy....the bun literally drenches in the meat juice and falls apart within moments making the burger nearly impossible to handle. Eventually we gave up and grabbed knives and forks. The fries are decent. The iced tea tasted odd (raspberry). Overall, the reason that I gave this place 2 stars is because for the price, a few more amenities would be nice. The burgers ended up being hamburger salad, and finally, they have one bathroom, which when I wanted to wash the mess off my hands was consistently occupied by the employees. That and as well, felt like Carls Jr which was not commensurate with the price.

Best way to describe this place is restaurant quality burgers at a restaurant quality price, but just not at a restaurant. $15 is steep for their "top of the line" burger, but the $6 cheeseburger and those ridiculous fries were pretty good

OMG...THE G BURGER AND G FRIES ARE THE BOMB! Totally split the G Burger with someone if you order it! Well worth the price and the facility is clean!

Came here here on opening day as my first time at G burger, and happy to say that I was not disappointed. I got the white truffle burger and caprese burger. Never had a caprese burger but I am a huge fan of caprese so decided to give it a shot- and it was well worth it. Will definitely come here again!

    (4)
  • Iman N.

I think this place is ok. The Caprese burger is nice but it didn't have enough sauce. The cheese burger was average. The meet was a bit dry and over cooked. We asked for medium but we were told that the medium will be bloody. So we asked for the medium well to keep the pink but skip the blood. The parties turned out to be well done and dry.

If anyone knows anything about me they would know I'm a sucker for burgers! It's my all-time fav... So I was really excited when I heard that a new burger place was opening up nearby! My husband and I walked over and saw that it was sort of crowded but not too bad, and I know it just opened so we kept that in mind and luckily for outdoor seating bc indoors was all taken! I ordered the caprese burger and my husband ordered the white truffle burger. OMG, I've had caprese salads and caprese chicken sandwiches but I've never had a caprese burger before. Caprese Burger: Angus burger topped with fresh mozzarella, tomatoes, basil, avocados and garlic aioli! Oh man.... Winnnnn!!! I loved it but honestly bow down to the truffle burger the flavors and juiciness were epic! I would def get these again! My husband ordered the wannabe animal style fries called G Fries and that was ok, kinda greasy but same substance of the animal styles fries. Overall: good burgers, kinda pricey, will go back every now and then... I want to try the garlic spinach burger and the chipotle chicken sandwich!

  • J L.

This place did not live up to it's reviews. The two burgers ordered took forever to come out, came out separately ( even though they were part of the same order), and were cooked overdone. The meat had way too much seasoning on it and the 'extra' peppers I ordered consisted of two tiny slices. Would not recommend.

  • Lori C.

G burger has fantastic grilled burgers. If you like burgers I recommend you to give them a try. I feel their burgers are tastier and cheaper than the Habit.

I was so excited when G Burger finally opened. I'm usually not a huge burger fan, but G Burger had some unique burgers on the menu and I was intrigued. The Caprese burger with a jumbo fried egg is absolutely delicious. The burgers here are a bit pricey in my opinion, but then again, they are more creative than your regular burger. I rarely crave burgers, but I can't wait to come back to G Burger cause the Caprese burger was just that good!

    (4)
  • Nick B.

Wow, simply incredible! If you are into gourmet burgers, this should be your next stop! G Burger makes Umami Burger, The Counter and Smash Burger look like child's play. My wife an I had simple cheeseburgers and we were blown away with the taste, quality, juiciness and overall representation. Very, very good. We also got the sweet potato fries and the chipotle dipping sauce. Both were very good and complimented each other nicely. Can't wait to come back! Nicely done!

  • Katie B.

Stopped in here for burgers and fries. Got the standard cheeseburger and garlic parmesan fries, and both were very tasty. I well say, however, that the burger was pretty greasy. I definitely felt gross afterwards. The fries weren't cooked the way I prefer - they were a little overdone- but the garlic parmesan seasoning helped.

  • Allie P.

I'm still unsure if I want to rate this as 2 stars or 3 stars. So because I couldn't decide, it'll be a 2.5. I was really excited to try G Burger, after reading reviews and seeing pics, I decided it was time to try it. I have to say, I've had high expectation for this place and was truly disappointed. The taste of the food is mediocre for the price. I went with the BF and our food cost $35. I was kinda shocked at the price, but then thought it must be really good, right? NOT! I ordered White Truffle Burger and Garlic Parmesan Fries & BF ordered Caprese Burger and Zucchini Fries. The burgers was good but it just have too much meat. Maybe I'm just those weirdo who doesn't like too much meat on their burger, but yeah, it was just too much. The taste was bland, and if it weren't for the cheese, mushrooms, red bell peppers and of course, ketchup, this burger would have NO taste at all. Not to mention the burger was really greasy, I left feeling like I'm going to be sick or get a heart attack. It's sad to say that out of all the food we ordered, the Garlic Parmesan Fries & Fried Zucchini was the highlight of my meal. G Burger's zucchini was the best fried zucchini I've had in a while, and it's a lot better than Farmer's Boys! So give that a try. I don't think I will be coming back here again for their burger. And thanks to G Burger, I won't be eating a burger anytime soon. And when I do, I'll stick to In n Out or Five Guys, for better tasting AND cheaper burger.

Good lunch place, not very big but you can seat at a table outside and they will bring the food over. We had friends who got food from the other restaurants around and we all sat at a table outside. I got the G Fire Burger which comes with grilled jalapenos and bell peppers and onions and stuff. It is a great burger, no doubt about it, it's part of the "gourmet burger" trend, maybe in the "lunch" category. This is not a place to have beers and watch some game at dinner time. They recommended the spread on the side and I agreed since it's hot and I wanted to feel some burger flavor too! We shared the fries which are thick and flavored, and the sweet potato fires were good too. I want to try the other burgers also, and they have veggie options too and a few sandwiches on the menu.

First timer at G Burger, very excited since I read the rave reviews for the La Habra location. Meh, ugh ... was my assessment. Maybe it was my fault for ordering the G Fire Burger, the description sounded yummy. Overwhelming spices, couldn't taste a thing. Onion Rings were good and the fries were decent. I will give this place another shot and get a good ol Cheeseburger and forget this visit ever happened.

This place was okay. Lots of people have been talking about it lately so the cousin and I thought we would give it a try! We got a G burger with G style fries. Definitely a step up from any typical fast food burger joint.

this place is a solid 4 stars... walked in with a BOGO on the $6 cheeseburger... IT WAS AMAZING!!!! and satisfying... and... and... and... apparently, its tiny compared with the other ginormous offerings they serve... i cant wait to save a couple paychecks and return and order something more trendy than a cheeseburger... the wife ordered the loaded fries... they came to the table and she was like... really? $5 bucks for these?... and i was like, right? well, now we know better... UNTIL WE PUT THEM IN OUR MOUTHS!!!!! dude... totally worth it... just goes to prove that it doesnt HAVE to be huge to satisfy... oh... if you check in you get a free 12oz drink... but, i didnt feel real happy about doing so cause the chick behind the counter was very blah when i redeemed my check in... like... the 12oz cup was coming out of her paycheck or something... SO... i drank the whole 12oz AND a refill... kudos on the condiments at the table too... Sriracha and A1 on the cheeseburger were so lovingly joined... that is all....

I decided to try today after going to the doctor. WOW the turkey burger did not disappoint! It was very juicy with a hint of rosemary. the condiments the red onions and peppers with the mayo.. Que RICO!!! I am glad there is a G burger in Fountain Valley. I hope the burger is just as good.. I had the sweet potatoe fries and they were a bit limp and greasy. The sauce that goes with is tastee however. Price is a bit much but worth it.

i really wanted to like this place, but i just couldn't. located inside irvine marketplace, it's in the corner next to thai spice and panda express. my bf and i both ordered a truffle burger and the G fries. our total came out to ~$24. i asked for my burger medium rare, and they told me their medium rare is more bloody than others, so i went with medium instead. i appreciated that they told me this! both of us felt our truffle burgers were meh, and did not justify the $9 price tag. the garlic aioli and truffle flavor was scarce and my bf's burger was definitely more medium well than medium like mine. we both ordered medium, but mine was way pinker and more juicy! suckerrrrr. consistency of doneness should be worked on a bit. also, my burger had a really heavy black pepper taste...ick. huge burger on a fluffy bun, you do get the amount you pay for, but i didn't even finish..i'd rather pay less for a satisfying, smaller burger. the g fries (pretty much animal style fries with bacon) was good, but not really worth it either. the bacon bits were extremely crispy and the best part of the fries. the fries themselves were not all that crispy and the onions here aren't as caramelized as in-n-out. i like my caramelized onions nice and brown, not still white-ish and slimy in texture. housemade 1001 sauce was delish, but for $5, i expected more than a tiny tray of fries.. i did like that they have a whole caddy of different sauces; ketchup, sriracha, etc. service was nice and helpful. my bf and i agreed that we liked the truffle burger from umami better. for a solid no frlls burger in the area, you can't fail with in-n-out or Mick's karma burger (my fave in orange county). unfortunately, i don't think i'd be back for these overpriced burgers :(

My brother had been wanting to try this place out for a while so we decided to try it together. I've never been a huge fan of burgers so I got their grilled chicken sandwich which is a grilled chicken breast with swiss cheese, avocado, grilled onions, tomatoes, mixed greens, dijon mustard on a toasted french roll. My brother got the G burger that is 100% angus beef on a high rise bun, tomato, red ion ions, mixed greens, house 1001 dressing and he added extra toppings and cheese on it to make it his own. They charge additional for the extra toppings but it's well worth it. He added onion rings and avocado. He thought that the onion rings inside the burger made it extra delicious ! We also got a side order of garlic parmesan fries. Order the garlic parmesan fries if you love garlic! ( I don't so wasn't a fan!) The ingredients were fresh and the food was tasty ! We'll be back if we're in the mood for some burgers !

EMPLOYEES NEED NEW SHIRTS ! GBURGER - Manager, the employees at your Irvine location have stains all over their shirts and hats, get them some clean clothes ! BUT THE BURGERS STILL ROCK ! White Truffle burger is the best.

When I read up on this place after hearing they were opening a TMP location, I knew I'd have to order the signature G Burger when I finally succumbed to the cravings. But a $15 , 2-lb. burger is more food, calories and money than I can afford for just myself, so I convinced my son to join me and split it. I'd highly recommend this approach for anyone who wants to try all the extra toppings offered on this behemoth burger. It's actually even a decent value that way! The Garlic Parmesan Fries were okay, but I'll probably try a different side next time around. I'm thinking the White Truffle Burger is next :)

If you are looking for a gourmet burger... This is the place. My personal favorite is the Caprese Burger. Delicious!!!! Only reason it gets 4 stars instead of 5 is because of price. It does not come with fries. Just the burger alone is 10. Which isn't to pricey... Just wish it included the fries.

Make sure you're hungry! G Burger sells gourmet burgers for between 7 and 10 dollars, and they are BIG - my husband and I had the fire burger and the garlic spinach burger, and both felt too stuffed to finish the very tasty parmesan garlic fries we shared. The burgers were well cooked and really tasty, mine was meant to come with bacon which they left off by accident, but that didn't stop it being one of the best burgers I've had round here. We'll be back for sure!

Every time I go to a burger place I can't help but compare it to in-n-out! I always come to the same conclusion, that nothing can be compared it. That being said the burger is defiantly good. Very similar (in both taste and size) to a burger at islands or at red robin. But half the price of those burgers;)

This place is okay considering it is like a fast food place. I ordered the truffle burger with a fried egg in it to add some flavor. However, when I bit into my burger I was so disappointed. There was no savory flavor AT ALL. the meat was thick but I didn't taste anything. Everything was so bland I couldn't even tell what I was tasting. I couldn't eat more than half of it before I gave up. I had higher expectations from their fries- it WASN'T BAD...just wasn't what I would looking for. I wanted fries the had savoring garlic flavor. Here they just sprinkles garlic powder chunks (yes powder! When you bite into the "garlic" it breaks into sand) onto the fries. Whenever I picked up a fry, everything would just fall off it. Call me lazy but I just didn't like to put in that extra effort to pick up what is suppose to stay on my fries. In the end because I got sick of the powder chunks, I just dipped my fries in ketchup. Not likely to come back here again. I rather just go to Umami and spend that extra $2 for a MUCH decent burger.

OH MY GOSH.....why did it take me so long to eat here!?!?? So delicious, I wish there were words as delicious as their White Truffle Burger. From the crispness of the bun, to the perfectly cooked patty, to the out of this world burst of flavors in you mouth. It's safe to say I fell madly in love with this burger. It's rare that my boyfriend and I eat red meat, but you best believe that when we do, we are having a burger or a big juicy steak. Believe it or not this place knocks Slaters 50/50 out of the ball park. It is always inexpensive. I loved their sweet potato friend and garlic parm fries as well. MMM MMM GOOD! I seriously cannot wait to go back and dive right in to another white truffle burger :)

My husband, sister-in-law, and I decided to check this place out for dinner. OMG the burgers here are tasty! We've been to other "trendy" burger joints, but this is the best burger I've had in a very long time! And their fries and fried zucchinis are fresh and delicious. I told the server that it was our first time here, and she made us feel very welcomed and tended us with much care. That is service. I know where I'll be going the next time I'm craving for a burger!

I had no idea what G Burger was when I saw it but mom said it was awesome so we went for lunch. Friend and I split the Caprese Burger: avocado, tomato, basil, mozzeralla and garlic aioli. AKA my perfect burger.....Don't hate me but we had a turkey burger. Does my opinion still matter? IDK but the burger was tasty! Though not the biggest sized burgers you'll find around, with all those delicious toppings on there sharing was perfect. Yes i'm gonna say it like everyone else... do not forget the sweet potato fries. They are on point. The server Brenda was super nice. She was smiley and helpful. Also, their windows are super clean! I know because I ran into one trying to sit outside. So watch where you're going here! Yay to new burger joints!

Okay, so here are my thoughts about G Burger: It's not bad at all. I had a regular burger with both regular and parmesan/garlic fries. The burger was cooked to my liking and the fries were good. Would I go back? Sure. But since I am not a huge burger connoisseur, when I do get the occasional craving, a $2 buck burger from In-N-Out would do the trick just as fine and is much nicer on the wallet. But I can see why others rave about it.

Good sized, good quality, cooked to order burger at a reasonable price. OK, $2 for bacon is a bit steep but overall was yummy.

Went here a while back and was not disappointed. Anytime I see a place with the words "Burger" or "Pizza" in the title, my mind and taste buds are always intrigued. One look at the menu and I knew it wouldn't be a healthy lunch for us that day. I opted for the G Burger, while my girlfriend went for the Turkey Burger. We split an order of garlic/parm fries and were very satisfied. Nice little spot in the Irvine Marketplace and we will definitely return.

  • Josh L.

To be honest, there is always sticker shock whenever I come to G Burger. The idea of paying close to $15 for a burger combo, regardless of quality, is offensive to me. Give me an In-N-Out #1 any day of the week, and I'll be happy. G Burger will never be a place I go for lunch once a week. But it is the type of place that, when going out with friends for dinner, no one will argue with and everyone will come out satisfied. The burgers themselves are delicious and juicy. I love mine rare. Every time I order that, the cashier reminds me that "it's very bloody." No problem for me, I love that. Usually, I don't like white truffle oil, but the truffle burger here is excellent. There are enough "other" ingredients to balance out the strong flavor of the truffle oil. I love the fries here. Nice and crispy with a good golden coating and seasoning.

Well, we have been here 4 times now. The first two deserved a 5 rating. The last 2 have been considerably less than stellar. A couple of weeks ago, my husband had a business associate meet him at G Burger for a casual meeting. He describes the place a complete "cluster". His associate received his meal, but my husband's did not arrive; he was told is would be right out several times, but an hour later he just got his money back and left hungry. Yesterday, we were up in the area and decided to give it another try. We each ordered our burger and an order of WELL DONE onion rings. The onion rings arrived first but were not well done in the slightest. I sent them back to be refried. We received our burgers shortly after and proceeded to finish eating what we were going to of the burgers...but still no onion rings. I went the counter looking for our order and was greeted by blank stares. The cook tried to give me another order of medium cooked rings. The counter person explained and I returned to my seat, only to receive the medium batch again. Add to this snafu the fact that there were not napkins or cutlery available in the dining area. Note: The restaurant was not crowded. We give it two stars because the beef is good, but definitely not worth a drive from Mission Viejo.

So I work right by the Tustin Marketplace location. I love the burgers here! I always get the white truffle burger. It's delicious, especially for a mushroom lover such as myself. I would also highly recommend the g-style fries. Blows animal style fries out of the water. The biggest draw back is G-burger is extremely expensive. Occasionally I'll get a BOGO coupon, cause I usually eat two burgers here. The traditional cheeseburger doesn't disappoint either. They use sweet pickles! The burger meat is very tasty, as they pepper the patties so there's more flavor and they're always very juicy. Definitely recommend this place if you're looking for a tasty quick burger.

Can't say I would choose this place over In&Out to get my burger fix but this place is definitely worth visiting - and with Fat Burger no longer around, might be one of the few burger joins to get a "custom" burger. Here's my take: Positives: * Great tasting burgers with variety of unique topping choices and preset combinations * Good variety of side dishes for an excuse to add more inches to your waist * Decent selection of "non-burger" choices available (but seriously, why come at all if deciding to order one of these) Cons: * At this price, would have expected a larger patty that would really make you full . . . * See above. In any event, will definitely visit this place again to try out the other varieties.

Don't know if this was hyped TOO much, but definitely a great burger. I had the truffle burger and well worth the flavor and $. Don't know if I would say the BEST burger (as it was over hyped by a friend of mine), but does get the 4 stars, both for value and taste. My wife had a different burger, can't remember which one, but took a bite, and was not as enthused for her's as mine. The fries were good. Might come back again someday with the kiddies as they had a menu for them as well, which is a plus for a gourmet burger place.

Good White Truffle Burger. Flavors well balanced and you can certainly taste the high quality of ingredients as soon as the burger reaches your gaping mouth. The G Style Fries were transcendent, but almost a bit much on top of the burger for one person. Think animal style but on another level all together. I will be back to try the spicy burger... when my savings are rebuilt!

    (4)
  • Liz H.

Worst burger ever it was too spicy too soggy. Sent it back and they didn't even give us a choice to choose a different burger and second burger even spicier. Bad service never coming here again

Did not fall in love with this place. The food was good, not amazing or really anything special to me. I tried the grilled chicken sandwich and they ran out of the French roll that is supposed to accompany the burger and do not offer wheat as a substitution which is kind of a bust. The sauces were okay, they gave us ranch and chipotle aioli but again nothing special. Overall a good burger joint, yummy fries, fresh veggies and meat. If you're hungry and want a bite, good prices and good food.

I've been wanting to try G Burger for a while now and finally got the chance today. Got here around 2 in the afternoon after visiting the Pumpkin Patch at Irvine Park. What a clusterf*** that was! My parents were with us and the wife and I shared the white truffle burger. I normally don't like mushrooms, but I'm trying to expand my tastebuds, so to speak. Burger was great - very juicy, even through we ordered it medium well. It was cooked more like medium, but I like mine on the rarer side. Very tasty bun as well and did not buckle under pressure. My parents got the basic cheeseburger and enjoyed it as well. My dad bitched because it had onions on it, but he should have asked what came on it, so that was definitely his fault. They didn't melt the cheese on the burgers, but instead had a thick slice below the burger patty. This is normally a pet peeve for me, but it actually tasted good here the way they prepared it. We also split an order of the garlic parmesan fries among the four of us and they were great. The fries here - I think they put a little bit of breading on them before they fry them, and they come out very hot and crispy. My wife wasn't a fan of the garlic parmesan fries and thought there was too much garlic (hmm) and not enough parmesan. Oh well, my mom, dad, and I enjoyed them. We ordered the chicken nuggets for my son and they were actually really good. He's 13 months, so we had to break them up into little bits, but they were surprisingly very high quality breast meat, and served hot and fresh. So hot in fact, we had to let them cool before feeding them to him. Service was fine - we ordered at the front counter and the food was brought out fast. Prices are a little high for fast casual, but not outrageous. For two burgers, parmesean fries, two drinks, and chicken strips, it was about $32. I wish they had more "special" burgers on their menu, but I suppose anyone could create their own, with the plethora of toppings they have. I'd certainly come back if I'm in the area, or - now that I think about it, would I just go to In N Out down the street? Hmmm

Check in for a free drink! Had the truffle burger with the onion rings and fries, had no complaints, burger was delicious. I'll have to come back here and try the other burgers.

Delicious burgers here - no doubt. Juicy, fresh, and tasty. The parmesan cheese fries left more to be desired for, and was a bit over priced at 5 bucks a pop. I wish I went with the regular fries instead. Really no major complaints though. Very fresh, and friendly staff as well.

Look. The food is good and it's a pricey burger (when you add other toppings like bacon, avocado, fried egg, etc..).. but the service leaves a lot to be desired. Don't go here during lunch as you will not get your food in time to get back to work within the hour. Twice now, it has taken 30 mins or so to get our food at the Irvine location at the Marketplace. Today, I finally had to go and cancel our order and ask for our $ back. Let's just say there was no apology or any sign of decent customer service.

My boss recommended this place since he's a fan of the one located in La Habra. Came here with 2 friends on a Thursday night. I ordered: - Truffle burger - good sized patty, very flavorful beef. The toppings were very tasty, but a bit on the salty side. Had ordered my burger MEDIUM, and got a burger that was closer to WELL-DONE. But still turned out pretty juicy and not dry at all. Annoyed the waitress brought me my burger and the top bun had fallen off face down, so the sauce was wiped onto the paper. Lame. - G style fries - AMAAAAAAAAZING! Imagine In-N-Out's Animal Fries on steroids. What could possibly be missing from Animal Fries you ask? Crispy seasoned fries + bacon. OMG you had me at bacon. - Soda - Yelp said that if you check-in you get a free soda...however stupid Sprint has no reception when I got there, so no free soda :'( And the total came out to over $18. This isn't exactly a sit-down restaurant; you order at the counter and they bring it to you, but not full-service. So for over $10, I say this is too expensive. Also tried some of my friend's fried zucchini, it was not great. Not bad, but nothing memorable. I'd say Carl's Jr's zucchini is still hard to beat. Definitely glad I came to try it, but probably not high on my list of places I need to revisit.

I'm a burger person and I have to say that I was HUGELY impressed with G Burger! I went on a Friday evening with about 10 friends and expected to have to wait a while for them to get all of our orders out, particularly because the place was already pretty busy. However, all of our food was out in what seemed like no time at all! I ordered the just the regular cheeseburger cause I wasn't that hungry and my friends ordered a bunch of fries so I figured I'd mooch a little. Let me tell you that for a $6 burger that thing is no joke! I also successfully mooched on some g fries and was pretty much in heaven. Between the burger and a few fries I left completely stuffed. Not only was it a ton of food but it had to rate as one of the best burgers I've ever had (yes, seriously). The burger was just wonderful! Wonderfully messy and packed to the max with great toppings (sweet pickles work surprisingly well on a burger). The g fries are basically in-n-out animal style fries cranked up to 11. Tons of cheese, thousand island, grilled onions, and BACON! Really couldn't get over how tasty these were! The location is pretty much what you'd expect, not over the top nice but definitely comparable to a nice chipotle or fish grill. Everything was clean and orderly and the overall atmosphere was quite nice. I'm so excited that I live only a few minutes away because I now have a new favorite place to satisfy my burger cravings! I cant recommend this place enough as a great place to have a nice tasty burger or some over the top fries.

My favoriate burger place besides in-and-out. Fries are above the average and bun is good. Price is reasonable for the taste.

Third visit and once again the food was excellent. White truffle burger is addicting. However, it is unfortunate and disappointing that the staff choose to speak to each other in Spanish in front of customers. I don't know if I will go back, despite the quality of the food.

Since Mick's has been going downhill, I've been eager to find an equivalent substitution for it. I have to say, this place seems to be promising. I ordered the fire burger ($9) and the girl at the cash register warned me that it was really, really spicy. I have a pretty high tolerance for spice so I was actually pretty excited since I find that most spicy things just don't really cut it for me anymore. We also go the garlic parmesan fries ($5) It's a little pricey, but I guess it's not as ridiculous as Umami. I was a little puzzled how they came up with their pricing though. A regular hamburger is $5, and all the specialty burgers are $9 and up, but it seems the only difference is just a couple toppings and they're charging twice as much to do so. To customize, it's about a dollar per topping. I could've been happy with a customized avocado burger, which would've saved me $3. Another example is that the fries are $2.50 and the garlic parmesan fries are $5. We decided to splurge on them expecting something amazing. But to our dismay, it was the same size as the regular fries, but was sprinkled with Kraft parmesan (not even freshly grated parmesan), and some chunks of preserved garlic. It's such a rip off. Anyways, my burger was really good. It consisted of a bunch of roasted hot peppers and a chipotle aioli sauce on the side. I thought it was underwhelming in heat until I got to the middle. I guess all the seeds from the peppers congregate in the middle so once I got there, it was like my mouth exploded. I was tearing up, desperately drinking water, and my taste buds were fried. It was still good enough to not give up so I painfully endured it. I was surprised how spicy this burger was. I can handle spicier foods than normal people, but I can't imagine how spicy this would be for the average person. I would suggest they tone it down a bit to be more pleasing to the general public. I'll definitely try something new next time.

I can't stop going to G Burger! It's a "sickness"!!! I've gone to their La Habra location a dozen times in the last month, and now I'm going to their Irvine location! Let me say that in addition to their great GREAT food, the service today at the Irvine location was FABULOUS! I ordered and received a basket of onion rings with my truffle burger. A few minutes later the server brings me another basket saying the first just didn't look right - in terms of being a bit overcooked. Honestly, I didn't notice, but he left me the second basket and the first apologizing. Don't forget to Yelp-Check in for you free soda.

I literally thought the garlic basil chicken sandwich was one of the best things I had ever eaten! The chicken was the right thickness and seasoned great, the bun was so good and the toppings were complimentary and not overly garlic-y. So delicious, I can't wait to go back.

  • Amy O.

The burger was delicious! I ordered the garlic spinach burger and the meat was juicy and delicious. The only problem was that the juiciness if the meat mixed with the wetness of the spinach was ultimately too much liquid and my burger was really soggy. It was very messy experience. Nonetheless the burger was still delicious!

g burger is... not as tasty as father's office. not as exotic as umami. not as customizable as counter's. not as cheap as in-n-out. with much anticipation, i was excited to try g burger at this new location. as much as i enjoy in-n-out every now and then, burger is not something i crave whole lot. in fact, the main reason i often agree to have a meal at burger specialty places is for fries. i view hamburgers as simple food. get good quality meat, season it well, grill to perfection and sandwich between artisan bread...easy, classic and amazing. the problem is many places fail to follow these steps, either over complicating it or forgetting the basics of seasoning. my simple cheeseburger at g burger did not completely wow me sadly. while the meat was fresh and juicy despite being densely molded, it had no flavor. i think a bit of salt and pepper would've brought out the flavors, making it a good burger. the bun was too hard and crusty for my preference (i prefer soft brioche like ones), but did hold up the patty well without falling apart. now to the fries. these did wow me. thicker than shoe string, but thinner than steak cut, extra crispy outside, but soft inside (double fried?) with generous sprinkles of sea salt...very very tasty!!! i'd definitely come back for their fries and other fried side orders. as the restaurant is still relatively new, there are some service issues they need to iron out. dinner time is not the best time to train a new employee at the register, making hungry customers wait to order and pay. our orders were mixed up, not really a huge issue to others, but i am somewhat allergic to raw onion, so it could've turned into a nasty night had we not caught it right away. again, g burger is not a place i'd volunteer to come back, but i'd give another chance based on the quality of food and fries.

Opening day! Came by Thursday (8/15) night because I thought it was open. Idiot me didn't realize that it was just employee training. Called in to verify, Korean man answered in broken Konglish. Hung up even more confused. Lucky enough, had the following day off to YOLO. The eats: Cheese Burger w/ fried jumbo egg + applewood smoked bacon (medium rare): Patty had a good meaty flavor and cooked to an actual medium rare. Well seasoned. Egg cooked perfectly. Bacon was thick; definitely a must add item. Fries: G seasoned. Well cooked. Much better than those abominations that In-N-Out calls fries. Zucchini Fries: Thick ass spears of zucchini fried in batter. Pretty good. Carl's Jr.'s heart attack version wins. Soda: Dr. Pepper. The soda with an indistinguishable flavor. Del Taco wins for offering Cherry Coke. Service: A few minor gripes, but everything we eventually ordered came out. Expect to see service more streamlined in a couple weeks. Overall, close call. But I think G Burger beats out Mick's for my favorite burger in OC.

so good! high quality and perfectly crafted burgers. possibly one of the best burger spots in OC. it's friday evening and the place was packed. but the super nice girls working handled the long line of anxious customers like seasoned pros and kudos to the kitchen staff, they cooked the meat to a perfect medium rare. it took a bit over ten minutes for my Cheeseburger combo to be ready. the items were picture perfect and tasted even better. love their Chipotle dippin' sauce.

It was the day before payday so low on cash when I wandered In here. Got the regular hamburger plus mushrooms. Excellent! Full of flavor and actually tasted like it was grilled! Definitely going back.

Burger was ok. Nothing special for a $6+ burger. Meat flavor was pretty good. I ordered mine lettuce wrapped. They said they do lettuce wrapped but they really don't. It was a burger with leaves of romaine surrounding it. I tasted the bun and that was somewhat tasteless. Onion rings were bready. Not good. I did enjoy their bread and butter pickles on my burger and the sweet potato fries. Service sucked but they just opened so I'll give them a pass. I will give it another shot after the newness wears off. I still think my go to burger place will remain The Habit.

If you like overpriced burgers, this is your kind of place. Me? I'd rather go to In-N-Out right down the street. I got the Caprese Burger and my sponsor for the evening got a regular burger, no frills. We ordered some fries, and we were ready to eat. We grabbed a booth and waited. They had three guys cooking, which seemed like a lot for how few people were in the place. Looking around, it probably could have used a better cleaning. So they bring the food to your table, is that why they charge more? Anyhow, we got our burgers and no fries... We reminded her that's what we ordered, so she came back with them. I asked for an extra side of some sauce that was on the burger when I ordered, but I guess they forgot that too. So when we reminded her about the fries, I reminded her about the sauce. I guess answering the phone, talking to your co-worker, and helping the next customer are more important than coming back with the sauce I asked for. After she gets off the phone, is done talking to her co-worker, and takes the next persons order, she starts talking to the cooks about nothing. So I walk over and wait for her to turn around. She doesn't, so I say, "excuse me, could I get that sauce now?" I just don't understand where good customer service has gone these days. The food was mediocre.

We bought 5 to go items for our family dinner tonight. We got the Truffle burger, 2 Portobello burgers, 1 Vegetable Medley sandwich and the sweet potato fries. It all came out around $41. Everything was so delicious. The fries were crunchy and not soggy as with some other places. The Portobello burgers were juicy and very tasteful; better than what we had at Native Foods. The Truffle burger was absolutely just mouthwatering with flavor. The vegetable medley was very tasty and we will definitely go back for more.

Based off 6pm on a Friday. Bf and I are not fans of the location. It's in the middle of a busy food court. Looking for parking was a nightmare because the lot is shared with surrounding restaurants like iHop, BJ's, Opah, Wasa Sushi, Lazy Dog, Panda Express, Yogurtland, Thai Spice, Daphne's, Baja Fresh.. just to name a few!! You place your order at the register, pay, take your number, find a seat, and wait for someone to deliver your food to you. The line was long which blocks the one and only door. The place is small so it can't accomodate many tables. Sitting outside is recommended! BUT sitting outside means you don't have all the condiments on your table so you have to maneuver around the people blocking the door and wait for an employee to notice you at the counter so you can ask for whatever you need! Oh, and if you are sitting outside and need a drink refill, it's all the way at the back of the joint so you gotta push your way thru the crowd again! The main menu board doesn't list prices, but they have the menu WITH prices available at the register. My bf and I thought both our burgers were over-seasoned and salty. The small portion of fries (for $2.50 that can't be added to a combo for cheaper!) are served in those brown paper bowl things which showcases how greasy they were! G burger burgers didn't stand out from the other burger joints we've tried before. Like others have mentioned, it is pretty pricey for what it is. Oh well, I'm glad we tried it so now we know! =]

So up until today I had not seen g burger like this ever!!!! Place was very crowded and seemed to be very noisy , however, I was not disappointed . Thinking that the place was going to be filthy was all the contrary. The environment looked clean and the cashiers were very quick on cleaning up tables. Very nice work on their part. However , my order seemed to have taken too long. I understand though since it was hectic when I arrived. The spinach salad was amazing tasty and fresh (since it's my first time trying their salads). Glad to be back again :) G burger you are on a roll!! :D

Was pleasantly surprised. Juicy, flavorful burger. Bun was nice and toasted. Even my picky mom really enjoyed her burger. The hamburger is a steal for $5. Very fresh tasting. Fast service for a restaurant that just opened. Only knock is that the way they stack the burgers make it impossible to bite into if you add toppings! Will be back!

The burger was good. I had the White Trouffle, great texture, great flavors. The selling point? The meat was definitely juicy, good quality, and doggone great tasting. The fries? Bleh. Could have been SO MUCH BETTER. You might as well go with onion rings or somethign else. Not my type of fries. Dry and bland tasting, I dunno. the four stars is because of : great customer service, friendly staff, great decor, decent burger, definitelly not a top contender, and definitely not worth 9 dollars. It's a 6 dollar burger at most.

really solid burger here! went here for dinner on a friday evening and while there was a line, it was manageable and moved relatively fast. my only gripe is that there is not much space to form a line to order without getting in the way of the dining room and/or patrons waiting for to-go food orders. the register and front area space got really crowded and cramped. also the place itself is fairly small with a handful of booths and 2 long communal tables in the middle but since its located in a 'food court' area of the marketplace, there is plenty of outdoor seating as well. for my meal, i opted for the cheeseburger ($6) and made it a combo with fries and a drink for an extra $4. the burger was really good! tasted fresh and had good flavor and loved the fries to complement it. the burger is a good size and very filling. the burgers here are a good cross between a fancy burger joint (think umami) mixed with just a regular diner kind of place (think red robin) if that makes any sense at all haha. the meal is an affordable $10 but you feel like you get a good quality meal out of it. will definitely be back when i want my burger fix!

I have to admit I was a bit nervous coming here yesterday on what I believe was opening day. The burgers at the La Habra location are the best I've ever eaten, and I was afraid this new location wouldn't live up to the original. I've never been happier to be wrong. First off, the minor gripes. This place has an expanded menu but for some reason does not serve some of the original's specialties. After I was told they didn't offer the chili cheese burger I went to my old standby, the Caprese, along with some G style fries. As we were sitting at the table waiting for our food I noticed they don't seem to have the jalapeño ketchup, either. Of course, none of that mattered when the food arrived. The burger was just as good as at the La Habra location, perfectly cooked and seasoned. The fries were excellent as well, especially dipped in their chipotle sauce, which is thankfully still available. I'm thrilled that this location opened much closer to home, and look forward to never having to make the trek to La Habra again.

Ehhhh...Got their hamburger, fries and onion rings. Burger was okay (nothing compared to Mick's), fries weren't to my taste or style...and the onion rings were too greasy. Service was a bit awkward and not the most welcoming bunch to say the least. For a good burger I would go elsewhere although one of my co-workers told me that their chicken sandwiches are good ,so I may try that out if and when I come again.

In the "central" food court area, between Thai Spice and Yogurtland. The G Fire Burger has good flavor and nice spices, but too oily - if you eat more than 1/2 of it, don't be surprised if you start to feel a little sick. Large portions on the fries and zucchini fries.

So delicious!!!! Nothing was greasy and they always make my burgers perfect!! My son loves the sliders and my husband loves all the healthy options and add ons! Also the girl that works up front is amazing so polite and welcoming. One of the best burgers I've had in a while!!

I do not get the hype. Came here based on a recommendation and was disappointed. I ordered the cheeseburger w/ a few extras and the caprese burger along w/ fries and onion rings. My first impression is that the food, especially the fries, was very salty. The burgers themselves honestly were not flavorful at all. I think I prefer Micks Karma to this place. I like that the size of the burger if large considering the cost but the taste was just not there for me. The only thing I really enjoyed were the onion rings. This fancy burger dinner cost us $24 bux and for that price I would have rather hit up in and out and saved some cash. Sadly, just not my cup of tea. Also, we called in our order for pick up and the man working the phone was extremely rude! He kept cutting me off as I tried to order.

  • Jimmy G.

The good; the burgers are GOOD. Even the plain hamburger/cheeseburger is worth the coin. I am a big fan of the Caprese Burger and the Garlic Spinach burger. Very flavorful!!! I also really dig the Fire burger but I think some tomato and lettuce would round that off nicely. For me the bad is their timing. The last couple of times my family and I have come here they have forgotten or delayed the chicken nuggets for my daughter. Now, these are very good chicken nuggets and are worth the wait but that would be if they were for me. These are for my kid so if you are going to delay something, make it my meal, not my kids. Besides, these things are straight out of the fryer so my wife and I are cutting them in half so they can cool enough for her to eat them. The ugly is the chaotic nature of the process of running food. Having such a small venue means more people are eating outside. They try to ask if you are eating in or out but plans change. Also, double freaking check what you are serving. I got the Garlic Spinach burger on Sunday and my wife noticed the burger didn't look like a burger. It was actually their garden burger for the veggie option. And again, streamline the process of getting food out. People get impatient when the runner takes four trips to deliver four items to a table. Nail down the timing and the turn around on the tickets and there will be fewer disappointed patrons. I don't know what the story is with the other locations but patience is key for the Irvine store. If you are in a hurry, not a good place to go to. The burgers do take time to cook (and heaven forbid someone in your group goes Well Done. I think one of the chicken sandwiches are on my radar for next time. Again Yelp, I wish I could give half stars because the would get 3.5 but the food is very good so that does bump them into the 4 range.

I stopped by for a late night burger after hearing all the hype about this place. The cashier was nice enough to let us in before closing. I got the cheeseburger with a medium patty. Both the bun and ingredients but the patty was a tad bit dry. Next time I'll definitely get a medium rare. The fries were awesome and service was cool. If say they are more or less a 3 and a half star though.

There are two basic aspects (to me anyway) when it comes to food service. One is the food. Two is the service. I know, I know...crazy. G Burger absolutely, miserably failed at the service portion a few days ago, and ensured myself, my coworkers, and all the friends I've told will never go there again. I ordered two burgers during lunch. One 'for here', one 'to go'. Both burgers were the same (except one was on lettuce). Nothing too terrible or hard. I get my to-go burger with little issue. I sit there and wait, wondering where my 'for here' burger is. 10 minutes go by, and I eventually ask them. They look at me confused, realize I ordered a second burger, apologize, and say they'll look into it. Okay, no big deal. People make mistakes. WRONG. About 5 minutes later, they come to me and say I'll only be getting one burger. Why? Because they think another customer took my other burger. Uhhh....what? You screwed up, gave someone my burger, and now I don't get one? That's not how a business transaction works. I explain this to them, and they go and do more 'investigating'. Same lady comes back a few minutes later and then says one of my coworkers took my burger. No, lady. My coworkers are sitting right here. None of them took my burger. By now, we're all in disbelief and I demand a burger. I don't care what it is, as long as I get one. I eventually get a burger. Which was completely different than what I ordered (although it had bacon, and I'm a sucker for bacon.) Taste was decent. But when a restaurant tells me all sorts of crap like that, you can bet I'll never be back. Save your money and go to an In N Out, or spend a couple extra bucks and go somewhere that actually values you as a customer. Please avoid this G Burger.

Ordered a Caprese burger and a plain cheeseburger w/g-fries. This is a high quality burger place @ it was worth it. The seasoning of the meat was really good. It was a good tasting burger.

Now I don't know if it was because I was getting slightly loopy from not eating all day, but the burgers here are delicious. I got the caprese burger which had avocado, mozzarella, tomato, and basil. The burger tasted very fresh, and the house-made garlic aioli complimented the flavors nicely. I finished the entire thing. The fries were fine, nothing worth mentioning. My only gripe is I had multiple hard pieces of something, might have been bone? I have no idea, but it's a little disconcerting to have to stop in the middle of a bite to take something out of your mouth. -_- I'll probably come back again and hopefully it's not a reoccurring problem.

Went here on a Sunday for lunch and it wasn't too packed yet at noon. My hubby and I ordered a cheeseburger, a cheeseburger with egg and pastrami, garlic Parmesan fries and G style fries. Wow...was it GREASY!! At the end of the meal, we felt like we had to be rolled out of the place. I will say that the burgers were pretty good, but the fries were too greasy. My son got the chicken tenders, which were well-seasoned. It came with fries, too. My friend ordered the Caprese burger, which looked pretty good. Overall, I think it's a little overrated and overpriced. You'll need to get in a good workout after eating here. The place did get crowded around 1 pm when we left. People were standing waiting to grab the next table.

Do not believe the hype g burger was a waste of money, first time at G burgers I was expecting a crowd the place is very small. it was only 1730. I order my favor turkey burger they only do turkey patties I can make a turkey patty on my Foreman grill and beware they do sell pickles but its sweet pickle on your burger ugh. I hate to be the guy to break the bad news. If you want a real Turkey burger go to the counter

I ordered a cheese burger w/ cheddar, san pelligrino and sweet potato fries. The damage came out to $13.50. Was my meal worth $13.50? Not really. I was expecting so much more but all in all, g burger is a good burger. It reminded me of the infamous cheese burger deluxe can be ordered in any reputable NJ diner. The flavors are simple and savory. However, the diner wins by a mile because it's nowhere near $13.50. What I'm getting at is this, for the price point, the food should be outstanding, not good. I'll definitely be back if someone else pays.

Good: G Fire Burger OK: Truffle Burger This place is interesting - it's not quite fast food... because of the prices, but it's not quite restaurant either since it's super-casual. I really wanted to try their G Burger, but I did not have it in me to dish out $15 for a burger. I simply couldn't. I'm glad the other burgers are $9, even that's high but you are paying for angus beef and such. It was lacking juiciness for me, and the flavors weren't addicting enough for me to dream about this burger at night. I thought the quality and the taste was good but I'm not sure if it has that pull to get me to return. Especially when there's an In-n-out nearby, tough sell. I mean, their concepts are completely different, so I'm sure there will be a G burger following. It's something my mom would really enjoy, she's a fan of restaurant burgers and hefty beef patties, so it really depends on the type of burger-aficionado you are.

Came to try Daphne's again but decided to try a burger today. So came in to try G Burger, the line wasn't crowded, really great employee. When my bosses burger came out first, I was surprised how big and saucy it was. So when I saw the employer come out with my burger, I was bumped up on trying a Cheeseburger with Avocado and there delicious sauce they put in there burgers. First thing I saw was there was onions and pickles, mostly my fault for not asking what was in it. But not a problem. Started with my first bite and just enjoyed it. This is a great and awesome burger place. In my opinion, better than 5 Guys. Can't wait to try out the Pastrami Burger, I love Pastrami

Went to the G Burger on Tusting and it was really good. My fiance and I just wanted a quick bite to eat and the cashier recommended their spicy burger (can't remember the name). The patty was perfect (medium rare). Great recommendation and I would go back after this experience.

Finally tried G Burger for lunch since it's near my work. This place used to be Quiznos before so the place is small to eat inside. Good thing there's lots of outdoor seating in the plaza. I ordered the White Truffle burger w/ bacon and it was good. Also tried their seasoned fries which weren't overly salted or greasy. Altogether my order was about $14. I also had some of their sweet potato fries which are good too. The only bad thing was that it took about 30 mins for my order and my coworkers' order to come out. You can see the cooks making your food while you wait. I give them 3.5 stars for now and will definitely give them another try to order their massive G Burger.

It was my first time here so i wanted to go for thr classic cheeseburger. First of all, I had a great experience with the service! Very friendly and prompt. You can choose what type of cheese you want. Again I went for the classic American. I got the patty medium but it was slightly overcooked but still nice and pink and juicy. The bun was amazing! The top is softer but the bottom is slightly more crisp so the burger doesn't get soggy toward the mid-end of the meal. I asked for the burger to be cut in half which was nice cuz it's quite big. My friend got the same but with pepper jack cheese. He said it was good but couldn't taste the pepper jack too much. Also tried the garlic parmesan fries. Really good! Similar to other restaurants but slightly crispier! And the fries are seasoned so it's similar to curly fries seasoning making it all the better. We were recommended the G Fries but thought it might be too heavy. I'll definitely try next time though. Also someone leaving the place highly recommended the Truffle Burger and seeing the reviews I can't wait to try it next time!! Definitely coming back!!

My burger was a bit overwhelming. The meat patty was a little too runny and the bun got all soaked. Couldn't eat the rest of it after halfway into the burger. Their fries are good, probably the only thing I liked. I also saw the G-Burger, which is a 2lb burger with every single thing you can think of all stuffed into it. It's like the kitchen sink burger. I think if their portions were a bit smaller, then the burger would have more substance to it. Not sure if I would come back with a craving for this place.

Yum! White truffle burger was amazing. Just the right size, deliciously juicy and the bread was perfect. I'll be craving this burger for sometime to come.

Been waiting for 20 min after the order and still no food. Sit down restaurants have better service, and are actually cheaper. 22 min in burgers arrived missing the egg. *sigh*. In fairness the fries and burger were pretty good. Such high hopes, but the overall experience is no good. Won't return.

I ordered a regular cheeseburger and the garlic parmesan fries and they were good. The bun eventually got really soggy. The cashiers were not professional and made me uncomfortable. They made comments that I feel were not necessary. I probably won't go here again since the food isn't so amazing that I'd be willing to deal with unprofessional cashiers again.

Waited 15 minutes to order our food. As soon as we ordered our food they told us it would take 30 minutes to get our order. We went at 1:30 PM so I can't even imagine if we went at 1230. No food is worth 45 min especially a hamburger. Won't be going back. If it's going to be 45 min say that before the customer waits in line for 15. In addition there was no seating or place to wait to order your food. Don't waste your time.

just lost the 5 minutes of typing a carefully thought out review and do not have energy to reright the whole thing so here's the recap-ignorant, uneducated service, ok burger cooked too charred for such a thin patty. Grill too hot. patty was pink& juicy inside (great) but it was difficult to get past the rather thick layer of charred meat surrounding it. Couldnt taste the supposed sharp cheddar, which is served between the meat and the bottom bun (odd).Bread and butter pickles are too sweet and dont cut through the richness of the meat but the arugula compensates. Nice amount of sauce, tomato and red onions. Pretty large diameter but I'm more a fan of the smaller fatty patty. I'd still rather have In-&-Out or one of the many gourmet options in DTSA like Capter One, The Crosby, The Playground
